I still cannot believe $140 $140 for an airplane in a game we're still talking about that I'm still feing about that don't pay it just download it oh I I don't want it well that's the perfect that's a perfect situation really they want too much money and you don't want it like walk away yeah but I'm just I'm I'm upset on people's behalves yeah well don't be cuz apparently they're all pirating it yeah welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy okay why did my Xbox just turn

on uh I guess it just knows you it's like oh you're recording the podcast why don't you just play a game in the background secretly I've never done that you have done that I've never done that don't lie to me Luke don't lie to me don't lie to the listeners never done that I go shopping for Xbox games but I've never played one all right fine hey so this may interest the listeners I'm off the grid finally happened you went over to America and now you've become a doomsday prepper yeah yeah I was forced into it uh by burying guns it is doomsday here uh in this area of the country there's there been a huge storm up and down the east coast up in the Northeast here and uh we got no power and we haven't had power for a couple of days now and uh a lot a

lot of other people don't have power and I guess they're just trying to figure it all out so my house is now powered by a generator see I cannot believe that like the longest we go without power in Australia now is like five six hours this was pretty bad the storm and like as in there's a Tre like up the road from my house uh on like the main road there's a giant pine tree that is literally ripped out of the ground like pushed over and the roots are like it looks like uh you know something from a film where the the roots have like torn all the ground up and it's like fallen over like it was it was bad actually I lie I think some places do go without power for quite some time after storms and natural disasters but not near me so I don't care no that's the thing like

we've lived in the city most of the time we've existed well at least I have like well you know like fairly Suburban areas whereas like now I'm out I'm kind of out in the woods so it makes sense this is this has not happened to me before not for this long when I was little I think we used to lose power more yeah I remember being younger and blackouts being sort of a common occurrence but then they kind of sorted all that out and then yeah now if you have one that's it's weird but what have you done for like days with that power oh that's right you've had a generator going yeah we had the generator going so we we can have like uh we can do things like in basically as long as you're limiting your usage to the room that you're in and we have to have the fridge running

obviously and we have to have uh this is the shittest part was that and the reason we actually have the generator because we probably wouldn't have bothered otherwise is that the basement flooded because uh because of all the rain excuse me basement sorry Luke's bedroom flooded and thank you so we had a bun not thank you for flooding it but well I didn't flood it the heavens flood thank you for calling right name um there's a pump down there that obviously needs power so oh the other thing is actually uh I'm sure we would have discovered this as well cuz we're not on the city water either we have a well and uh that pump but the well needs power as well so yeah I'm going have to buy my own generator we borrowed Jenna's dad's uh but I'm going to have to buy one cuz

it's just I can't not have power apparently it's not not possible to live in this house without I imagine going without power for days yeah yeah we basic you can't use any high power items can't use the oven can't use the uh you know the dryer and all the washing machine all that kind of stuff oh the microwave uh Works a little strange like it doesn't sound well when you use it so we've been avoiding it I put something in there the other day and it was kind of like like o okay oh yeah maybe don't do that yeah it's probably just not quite enough power yeah so that was that's interesting but look it's powering my uh my laptop I mean although the laptop's kind of cheating because it's got a battery but here I am on the internet the internet's on [ __ ] cable you

should still be I think you should still be a little careful with generator and a laptop yeah no well I'm I no generators are a lot better than what they used to be but you used to get power surges look I'm going to shut all this down once uh once we're done just in case but yeah yeah so it's going all right right considering and uh Power should be back today at some point they're saying but they're prioritizing uh you know emergencies which is fair can't complain about that this is not technically not having power is an emergency I can imagine you'd be on the phone actually no you there's no on the phone you'd just be crying in the bathtub yeah like calling that's a thing that annoys me don't call people to ask if they're working faster or what's happening if you don't call them they

will be able to work harder for you good point yeah cuz they're not answering the phone mhm yeah no fair point of course the person answering the phone they're probably not out there doing the work but you never know I wouldn't have thought so no I wouldn't have thought so yeah a lot of trees down the other thing too is when I was on the way home on Friday because of you know because of the storm I thought oh the highways will be busy I'll use ways do you have you have that app ways in Australia no it's like uh I guess like you know Google Maps or I think it's owned by Google actually or you know like Apple Maps and it gives you turn BYT directions but it it's kind of like uh everybody who uses it can flag you know like traffic issues or police on the side of the road or

like objects in the road and all that kind of stuff and it calculates the quickest route based off all the user data for you it's really good I use it um like most days now I check it in the morning when I'm going to work just to see if because there's a highway but if there's bad traffic I can go a different way so I just check to see it's called W okay it's really good I've got a story about my trip to work the other day go on go on all right I managed to hit two birds with one car oh no you're on a scooter AR you one scooter and one head this is not a nice story I'll put this out there now go on right driving down the highway or riding down the highway are you allowed on the highway

on that thing yeah it does 100 okay I I hit two birds going at 100 [ __ ] hell what kind of birds one uh Gaz oh [ __ ] yeah they're big yeah they're not small [ __ ] the one hit my helmet bounced off and I'm assuming that one's fine yeah the other one hit my handlebar oh no wrapped itself around my mirror and I could see it had severely broken its arm and it was screaming looking at me and I had to watch it die as I pulled over to the side of the road and pushed it off Jesus you did you put it out of its misery well I'm happy it did die it I did well not happy it died but I'm happy it sort of I'm happy it died cuz that

was close it almost got away it took a lot of effort to hit that thing in 100 km an hour I'm happy it did dive so I didn't have to put it out of his misery [ __ ] I really wouldn't want to do that wow but yeah didn't have an accident so that was good that's well you did Luke I did but and there was a I managed to I managed to come out of unscathed so I'm happy yeah no that's good [ __ ] that that would probably traumatized me it was it was not fun [ __ ] hell so the I mean you're okay the Scooter's okay it's just one G down y one possibly two I don't know what happened to the second one that hit the helmet probably died of grief because its partner was dead I didn't do it on purpose and it's the bird's fault yeah they play in the road n they

do they do they little [ __ ] sometimes Birds the [ __ ] am I talking about but they are they like swooping in front of cars it's a game for them yeah I don't know I don't know that's a that is a weird thing they know exactly what they're doing I don't know about that but yeah it is it is it is dangerous well no there's been Research into it birds actually sort of obey speed limits um okay go on yeah I'm not saying that they obey SP limits but they do fly faster in areas where cars are driving faster and slower cars are driving slower and right so they match speed with with other yeah moving things not that they read the signs and they go oop I don't want to get a ticket no but they see Aras and go Yep this is where I fly faster and I Reon they're

just testing themselves okay did you read Jonathan Livingston Seagull as a kid no okay it's about a seagull that tries to Fly Fast to does he go well killed by someone on a scooter yeah it's tragic story actually yeah he go yeah he gets wrapped around the um the handlebars yeah and he just and he's looking at the guy going why why and then he just dies in his arms yep terrible hey uh you've been drunk and you've been drunk here in America before and I'm sure I'm pretty sure you get drunk at home a lot probably too yes uh you've ever caught an Uber home because you were too drunk to drive I'm sure you have um yes yes I have what's do you

have Uber there in CRA yeah yeah okay cool oh of course actually yeah what I talking about I used it in Sydney I I forgot it was kind ofar cell was one of the first ones to actually make it legal yeah what's the furthest you've ever caught in Uber I don't know maybe when I was in the states so probably 50 km okay that's quite far oh we got went to um Disney we Disneyland I think oh this uh well there's a gentleman Kenny bman uh he got uh he got really drunk and he was in uh he was in Virginia in Morgan town in West Virginia mhm and he went out and he got very very drunk and then he got an Uber and said uh all right take me home uh and then when he woke up uh a couple of hours later he was still in the Uber uh and they were on their way cuz he lives in Philadelphia uh which is

about is that like the next next suburb over or that's that's more than 300 miles away that's uh that's 5our Drive yeah like close to 500 uh yeah so the the cost of the uh of the and apparently he woke up realized what was happening was still drunk and went ah well [ __ ] it and uh so the guy dropped him off from home and it cost him $1600 ouch yeah see I reckon I don't think he did it by accident well he's saying that he did and he he complained to Uber and they said well the guy just did what you told him to yep I reckon he did think about it before he ordered but his drunk mind just went ah it'll be right yeah I guess I agree with you it's that kind of accident or he just was like yeah yeah

take me home cuz he was too drunk like I feel like by home maybe he was thinking yeah yeah to the hotel or wherever he was staying yeah yeah take me home but then the Uber driver doesn't know that see I I've been very drunk before and very I'm talking very very drunk oh I believe it but I've never been that drunk I maybe have I've been like the drunk I'd be drunk enough to go ah screw it yeah I'll just do it not the I screw it I don't know what I'm doing take me home I try very hard not to get that drunk uh just because B bad things happen when I get that drunk but yeah I don't know well the other thing is too he uh he ordered one of the fancy ones too the Uber XL instead of a normal Uber if you got to travel that far you wouldn't be comfortable that's right yeah you think

drunk drunk Kenny thought this was going to be a great idea like I'm just going to travel home in luxury but that makes me wonder right did he have a hotel booked in Virginia and like how did he get there like did he drive to Virginia that's what I'm saying back and pick his car up did he have a [ __ ] flight home book did he have like luggage like what I feel like there's more to this story yeah anyway he also he gave the driver a fivestar rating and uh and cash to cover the tolls on his way home I don't think he's allowed to take cash no no well I guess for the tolls because normally an Uber would just pick up another ride but I don't think he was going to find anyone going from Philly to West Virginia so just just I don't think that's uh going to be that common okay

also if I have an Uber driver there's someone that drunk I'm not letting them in the car either yeah I I feel like there is a little bit of like I would have been like are you sure so I don't know maybe that happened and he W he was like yeah can you maybe sign something yeah see I I I would question it pretty heavily as an Uber driver like I don't know man this guy's [ __ ] wasted and I'm sure this isn't this isn't correct so cuz what you would hate is to get all the way there and then Uber turn around and go no that was stupid you never done that we're not going to pay you but on the other hand I mean he's getting paid what like 1,600 bucks for technically this is 10 hours work cuz he's got to drive home again but me that's not bad well it's

not bad but you got to think he's got to still all the petrol he's probably going to have to stay somewhere cuz there's no way he should drive home I bet he would have after that yeah maybe I would but I've driven to Sydney and back many times in one day and then and then here that I mean that that's just a that's just a a drive on the highway here like you just hop on uh hop on the highway and drive so it's not a bad Drive technically be boring but so yes drunk snoring guy next to you yeah exactly just turn the radio up yes so listeners uh just bear in mind when you're uh when you're way on holiday on vacation remember where you live and where you are when you get an Uber cuz the Uber driver doesn't know that you're technically living in a

hotel well the Uber driver's just going to go where he his phone tells him to go exactly doesn't actually ask where you're going he just follows that's one of the best things about Uber I have to say anything just get be like heyy M how you going let's go see one thing I don't understand about taxis see in taxis now I still have to try and I still have to give taxi drivers directions here yeah but with an Uber I get in and they just take me there yeah taxis are like [ __ ] and that's like there's those you know when they say oh the city you know they're banning Uber because they want the tax people want uh you know the taxi drivers I complaining like do a better job yeah like just [ __ ] puts him that's all you have to do you just take

on Uber's model and make it your road they [ __ ] smoke in the car I saw like in uh in England the other day not the other day the other week uh wasn't that long ago I guess but there was a [ __ ] taxi driver just sitting there smoking in his car like and then I got a call to go pick someone up and then threw the cigarette butt out the window and off you went I'm like that is [ __ ] gross man don't do that like well I know no you can't do that in Australia yeah you're not meant to good I have had taxi drivers smoke in the car but they asked smoking taxis exactly I also smoked so uh we both smoked in there but yeah it was always great when a taxi went driver was driving me home from Sydney or something go okay if I have a smoke and I go sure thing as long as I can yeah on

the trip from Sydney to penth after I'd been out drinking I went [ __ ] it I'm just going to pay to get a taxi home mhm cuz that wasn't a cheap Fair no it's like 100 bucks depending yeah and I was I didn't know not have a lot of money back then no no and you'd spent most of it on drinks yeah like that was a lot of money for me yeah Kevin Smith had a heart attack I know you don't like him so you were you happy about this or I don't not like him that's a double NE you don't like him I do like him no I do like him I quite like Kevin Smith I just don't like his movies but oh I quite like him a lot I find him interesting I think he's funny I like uh his you know he does uh I think he does them on Facebook he's he does videos you know reviews films a little bit I've seen his

his comedy shows were good or evening you know how like I don't listen to our podcast yeah I listen to his oh I've never listened to his podcast but uh no you should listen to his podcast I could try the problem is uh how long is it um they vary yeah that's what I thought hours um it depends like some can go for an hour some can go for two hours just depends on the show I I have a lot of podcasts that I uh that I need to catch up on so I I I'll look into it but yeah no I don't hate Kevin Smith and I definitely don't wish him dead so I'm glad he's not it's it's weird because he's actually if you see pictures of him lately he looks like he's been in good shape yeah he's been trying to yeah undo

some of the damage he did I think but yeah evidently this damage he couldn't undo and one of his arteries was 100% blocked well that's yeah that's I guess you you can lose the weight but you uh you can't necessarily undo all of the all of the damage so oh I guess he's yeah he's lucky that uh that he got to the hospital in time cuz they they they told him he could have very easily have died if if things gone differently and if he had have gone on to do the second show which he's the type of person who would normally do that yeah he would cuz he doesn't like people sort of paying all that money going out and then canceling someone cancels show that's a terrible thing that happened yeah and so it's sort of

lucky that he did go yeah nope this is a little bit more painful than I think it should be I'm going to the hospital yeah [ __ ] yeah ter and evidently now he's become a vegan oh interesting that's quite interesting I I don't know if how if that's going to stick or anything but yeah he's I was going to say that's hard but he lives in La so it's not I think other places in the world it's hard in in La it's probably the easiest place to do it well I'm also pretty sure that for this he would be hiring a dietician and stuff to basically bring and prepare my food good point he's got he's got he can afford to to do that so well he's not rich isn't he no he's not rich rich he's

very well off yeah but it's yeah I don't think he's sitting on Millions fair enough stop judging him but yeah I'm pretty sure he's got enough money to hire someone to keep him alive I would hope I would hope I do too but we'll see I don't know about that well Kevin Smith uh I guess you geek of the week is that can I make Kevin Smith geek of the week yes you can he passes the test all [Music] right I didn't do a test beforehand could you hear that yeah okay good oh and by the way listeners if you hear I don't know if you can or if you can hear it Luke it's I mean it's on the other side of the house but if you do hear a strange noise in the background that's

of the switch apparently what that's that's what I'm seeing everywhere everyone's talking about everyone's talking about it's been a year you mean you feel you feel like it's been more than a year or not a year not a year oh no yep it's third of March yeah so wow I've played it for about 15 minutes well I was that was going to be my next question was have you played it anymore and uh have you played anything other than breath of the Wild on it I've tried to play some racing game okay that's not Mario Kart M and some farming game Stu Valley oh yeah I got that the other day actually I haven't played it a little oh I've played it a little bit on um on my PC that I don't have anymore but I um yeah I got that the other day

cuz I wanted to play it yeah I tried and then it's just yeah as I've said achievements have ruined gaming for me well I really love my switch it's [ __ ] awesome and I breath of the wild I know we disagree on this I think it's a really great game uh but another great game is Super Mario Odyssey it's so good and I laughed at these you know the little joycons the little controllers yep I I laughed at these right uh however I've been playing breath of the wild with the detached joycons one in each hand and I find it to be really good I just I know they don't sit right in my hand I I didn't think they would and uh I I like him and the other day

because we had no power uh I got the switch out uh put it on the little stand and Jenna and I were playing Super Mario Odyssey two player one of you controls Mario the other controls Cappy the cap and we used the little joycons and like At first we were like this is going to be [ __ ] because these are painful but after a while no you just get used to it just playing the game and then and then so now we're basically just playing through the game and uh and then we when we got the TV on again we uh we played on the TV and it's it's [ __ ] great game it's fun I I have been thinking about picking that up because I have liked well uh maybe I shouldn't say that I think the last Mario game that I played and enjoyed was Super Mario 64 okay well

it's I mean it's a It's that kind of a Mario game it's like a you know a 3D I sort of skipped all the others the some of the Wii U ones were were good I found the multiplayer to be really painful on them though like the uh is the you know the is the new Super Mario Brothers Wii U where it was the side scroller one and you could play multiplayer but you like bump into each other and knock each other off things and it was I don't know I found of yeah you could have five player and someone played on the screen and could either help you or play against you and yeah I never yeah we found that frustrating never played that never interested me I'm waiting for Mario Party yeah on the Swatch yeah well I do love getting drunk and playing Mario

Party well I think the switch is great uh and I'm I'm sorry that you uh you haven't been enjoying yours yeah I've tried just the lure of the Xbox I guess yep my Xboxes the computer now yeah see I don't have a I I just have my laptop I don't I don't think I'm going to bother with a computer like a gaming PC don't have time well you don't if you don't yeah if you're not using it don't worry about it yeah probably won't but switch thumbs up from me if you don't want yours send it to me Luke no I might play it one day well well then don't maybe we'll see send it to me if you

don't have you Tred you would to try remember where it is do you stream your Xbox games to your PC or do you do anything like that you don't really need to do you no because if I wanted to play my Xbox I can actually just swivel my chair yeah okay apparently you next to my computer now apparently they have Windows 10 you have three Xboxes oh yeah because you have the Scorpio 1X but I have done the streaming though just okay so you can you can turn your Xbox on and then your Windows 10 computer can just pull the display basically yep and works fine okay well uh Mac users like myself uh couldn't do that before not that I I mean I haven't tried to I'm not going to but there is an app now uh that lets you do it called onecast

however uh it's not official and okay I don't know how how how they're doing this uh they it's 10 bucks uh at the moment or it was 10 bucks it's normally 20 but because it just launched at the moment it's 10 H and I guess the problem is Microsoft Could Just Kill this cuz yes CU it's not official they're charging for it so I don't know that's why I mean I don't I wouldn't use it I don't think anyway but also I don't know I would pay for it without seeing if it's going to stick around yeah um Microsoft might be waiting to see how it does before they decide what to do maybe they I mean maybe they'll buy it that yeah CU this can actually still be a good thing for them in which

case if they do they'll probably just give it away for free so because what it may be is because Microsoft has been trying to build up um their own streaming service mixer yeah yeah and to stream and get a community and everything going it's much easier to do it from a computer than to stream directly from your Xbox right so if this can bring in more people to it if they're now on a Mac then they probably would go yeah we're going to let this go yeah no fair enough but yeah I don't need to worry about it no no me either I just uh I just thought it was of Interest so list if you're on a Mac check it out but I would I would advise maybe waiting to see but then you won't get the half price so [ __ ] I don't know oh it'll

be on sale at another stage and then also you got to think about it do you really like the only time only thing time you should I think look to stream to your Mac or anything is if you're looking at streaming online and you want to have a bit more freedom to do stuff but if you just want to play your Xbox just turn your television on well that's what I did odds are your television screen is bigger than your back monitor y that is definitely true yeah so also I'm going to play my Wii not my wiat switch cuz better I want you to play the Wii I have the Wii U I bought uh I'm probably I probably talked about this before when we moved we had to buy new power adapters for everything CU yep you know

power's different here cuz power's wrong over there exactly so the Xboxes are working uh we've had those working for a while um but the Wii U uh cuz you know I got games on there I want to play we uh I bought a power adapter for the Wii U but then I forgot you need a power adapter for the freaking gamepad as well oh so I still need to get one of those should do that yeah that game pad didn't really take off well it did cuz if you look at it cuz that's what became the switch hey Siri remind me to order a power supply for the Wii game pad okay I added order a power supply for the way game pad to your reminders thank you hey Google how old am

I I'm 36 it doesn't read it out hey Google um Google hey Siri how old am I you'll need to unlock your iPhone first can't um no cuz um where my microphone is and where the Google is is doesn't pick up that way where the Google is the Google's behind the microphone and I'm in front of the microphone what is the Google I can hear it but you can't well what do you call it what do you mean the Google I've got Google home I didn't know what you were talking about I thought like is he call his phone the Google like I'm talking to my phone I'm talking to Google I've got I've been I've got Google homes everywhere in this house do

you yeah see I don't have the [ __ ] H I have my phone and I have I mean my watch but it doesn't work as well on my watch but uh that's all yeah I don't have those things like uh the Alexa or the Google home yeah yeah I'm I'm enjoying it it comes in great comes in Gray yeah come no it comes in great like it's it solves fights really quickly now gotcha it's really good if you want to listen to music sure CU you go hey Google play my favorite song and it just starts playing music for me just starts playing egg sandwich um that is my favorite song yeah I know it is you posted it on uh ver the day and Jenna was like I'm following him I had to post something on there oh yeah I haven't bothered I didn't to

ads in I know but it's but there are I but there there I thought some people that would have like three photos in a row and they've got like they're telling a story between and now that's just confusing yeah yeah that's fair I've seen that before and it's also the worst thing is is sometimes when you open app up you'll see your phone and you go oh I want to look at that but it then disappears before you can view it and then you can't find it yeah cuz it's not in your feed anymore cuz it decided you didn't want it yeah and I didn't see who posted it and so I have no idea what that it was bummer bummer um do you want to hear a little bit of Star Wars news we got I certainly do we got a little bit I'll play the jingle I'll play I'll do the

short version of the jingle cuz the jingle way too [Music] long uh so solo comes out soon right uh like May March it's March now so maybe may may yeah um Ryan Johnson thinks it's good that tells me nothing at this point it sort of doesn't because Ryan Johnson would be saying anything to just make sure Disney are happy because they're prepared to give him a lot of money to make three more movies yeah good point he's not going to start talking [ __ ] about him now but Al yeah I I don't like Ryan Johnson's

movies so I don't know about his tast in movies you know I'm sure he probably likes some good movies just you know by sheer luck but I don't know about it we with this I found a release date it's the 23rd of May okay or 24th of May why don't they release it on the 4th of May yeah I don't know that seems like yeah that would make sense that's a Friday I'm sure there's good I'm sure there's some marketing reason like there must be I don't know what it is look the marketing does it for itself they just change the date by a few weeks done I'm I'm hopeful for this movie now I know we talked about this we we we kind of flipped on it I'm I still can't believe that you and then from the

trailer that we also think it's going to be good I didn't say it was going to be good it seem it looks like it's it might be all right it might be fine it looks not I watch a trailer it worse I thought it looked not well that's the thing right I guess the the difference is Dan and I had like our expectations were in the [ __ ] toilet at this point and then I watched the trailer I'm like oh it looks like a movie so that's good so I don't know whereas you were probably maybe you were thinking ah hopefully it's good and then that's my impression of you hopefully it's good I'm a little boy no I'm this one I'm not holding much out for yeah much hope for at all well we shall see like they've they've changed the way

that Han's going to wind them L him Falcon well I still fact yet but I'm pretty sure going to be di they haven't changed it because it hasn't happened yet this is the first time we're going to find out how he won it it was in a card game the first time we're ever going to know how it happened cuz we've never known before cuz all that got swept under the rug goodbye goodby history of Star Wars well that's the the thing there's never even been any books or anything about that happening that's just knowledge I have from somewhere it wasn't in like the novelizations or something not that I can remember H I know they spoke about it but I don't remember there being a story about it actually happening who spoke about

it oh I see what you're saying I get you I get you get you there wasn't actually a book about it happened but in books they talked about it in the past tense like he won it from Lando in a card game someone said at some point yeah okay gotcha Yeah well yeah so yeah anyway Ryan Johnson likes that doesn't tell me anything I don't I don't know so I I like the other thing is too I like Ryan Johnson he seems like a cool funny guy like guess I've seen interviews with him and his uh to his Instagram he's turned off all the comments on his Instagram cuz people were being [ __ ] [ __ ] to him after the movie came out don't do that listeners I didn't like Last Jedi I'm not going to go [ __ ] harass him like he made a movie like yeah some people like it some

people don't you don't need to attack anyone because of that I don't like his other movies either so you know I'm not going to go have a go have a winge at him about it or if you are going to winge there's a way to build it respectfully that's right just say pardon me Ryan but I did not enjoy that film please make better films and that's how you do it um the other Star Wars news this week is that John Williams basically said episode 9's the last one he's doing um I can actually sort of understand this cuz he's getting on yeah like he's really getting on and this is meant to be the last Star Wars movie that's around the Skywalker family yeah so he's going to say yep I'm done when the starwalker family story ends so do I

and so he'll die in the next year calling it now you think he's been waiting yep finally I can move on yeah well he said and so like now Harrison Ford he's got still got a few things he's got to wrap up before he can die he's wrapped up Blade Runner he's wrapped up Star Wars he's still got to wrap up got Indiana Jones and then he's out yeah and then he can and The Fugitive maybe we want to find out what happened to who's asking for a fugitive sequel I am that was a great movie um uh a mark H's ready

to go I guess he wrapped up the one film series that he was in well maybe not he might have another job coming up interesting thanks to the internet and Twitter see sometimes oh I got you gotcha gotcha yeah a fa may have got Mark H some work cuz he's unemployed now yeah cuz he's not the Joker anymore is he uh he did reprise that V he at some point but no he's not I think I think he's he's he's officially done with that and they've killed him in Star Wars even though he will be back in the next one as a ghost yeah they didn't even kill him he just disappeared anyway moving on

uh made tells the story of the room uh about Tommy wo the uh the guy who made the room wrote produced directed uh it's it's an interesting story I think the book's better but uh the movie is good he's now being sued by a former student of his James Franco is I mean uh because the student Ryan Moody uh apparently wrote the screenplay or wrote the first version of the screen play the first adaptation of the book for James Franco when he was a student at his uh acting school and in his UCLA class I guess and then this guy Ryan Moody then served as his teaching assistant uh so I guess they knew each other pretty well uh he wrote the screenplay

apparently based on the book by Greg cesto WR screenplay gave it to them uh and then they said all right we're going to get some people who are more known to to take it from here but they told him that he would get an associate producers credit on the Disaster Artist and also that they would give him they would fund his movie called on the bus and he's now suing them because he got neither of those things and apparently allegedly he's got emails that prove some of this stuff like there's an email from James Franco saying hey uh Seth and Evan and Weaver want you on as associate producer and to give notes on every draft cool and get going on on the bus

that's yours so I don't know seems legit and it's it's especially uh shitty because they're up for an Academy Award for best adapted screenplay so if this guy did write the screenplay that's a bit shitty I mean I don't know how that quite quite how that works if they did more no if they did more work than he did afterwards to fix it up CU they would have most yeah if they did get other people to then take over from where he started and they changed a lot of it yeah yeah the question is was his screenplay [ __ ] and then did they did they redo it in which case he probably doesn't have much of a case but I guess we'll see or we won't see cuz we'll probably forget about this yeah yeah we won't

we'll forget about we're going to forget about this after we've spoken about about it and then unless it appears in some news article that something happened we will never talk about it again yeah or if if it gets to be a little more newsworthy uh maybe one of us will make a joke about it in in a year's time and no one will know what we're talking about and then we'll move on yep I'll put money on it that this gets settled out of court and we won't hear anything more about it yeah probably true yeah I think and if they if they win the Academy Award uh maybe it'll become more of a thing because you know then it's of interest if they don't then I guess it's who cares but yeah so this because normally I get upset when people try and do

lawsuits well after the fact Something's Happened but in this case I can see why he's doing it now cuz he might have been going yeah they're taking the credit for that but I'm still going to get my movie on the bus made yeah also I mean uh I guess loss is take time to to organize I suppose because you'd have to figure out I guess first of all I'd be like can I do anything and then you'd have to go see a bunch of lawyers and then they'd have to do research and maybe the lawyer said yeah but lawyers are pretty lawyers uh they will say yes we will get you something and start going right away but I feel like the lawyer would have like now's a pretty good time to bring this up considering the Academy Award thing like if the lawyer said wait till the film comes out let's see how it does I

think that's pretty smart because if you go in beforehand and do it you might you know say they give give you here's you know 100 Grand shut up and then you sign all the stuff and you're done if this thing wins an Academy Award he could hit him up for more money well I think from the I think what he wants is I think he wants his movie made yeah well he wants like 10 million to make his movie yeah yeah which yeah he's saying like that's what they were saying they're going to give him but then they've reduced that 5 to 10 million budget to 50,000 so then he's probably gone no that wasn't the deal give me my money yeah that's fair which if that's what was said yes so yes that's fair if that was the

agreement yeah I agree or but then get going on the bus is your only email yeah then I mean who knows who knows what happened after that I guess we'll find out so we'll just wait and see or we won't find out because we'll never mention this again so let's move on yep let's move on now what have you been playing this week cuz uh I've been playing gravel this week okay I don't know what that is what is gravel it's a racing game that I have not been enjoying okay so this is your version of a review where you just say that and then we move on but I want to ask what what what what kind of racing game is it um I'm still trying to understand whatp it's not like a simulator one so it's

not like a forer it be more in line with um forer Horizon okay yeah yeah okay so a bit more over the top but I think they sort of tried to make it a bit like that but then they didn't go far enough and yeah it's just very vanilla races take about four to 5 minutes each and then it's over and done with and I finished it right but you finished it but you're still trying to figure out what kind of racing game it is yeah yeah okay very good it's more trucks and jumps and stuff like four-wheel drives off-roading cars oh okay all right gravel all right so avoid that one is what you're saying Avid that I'm not that I would I was anyway I never even heard of it all right fair enough what's the last good game you played then I honestly don't remember the last

time I played a good game I've been playing a lot of crap lately just for achievements yeah well right I think it'll be shadow of War oh yeah I really enjoyed that and I really enjoyed the sort of the [ __ ] I was enjoying I kind of remember the for it I was enjoying Shadow Mordor I just remembered just thought God I have no [ __ ] time I'm I'm I was really enjoying Mad Max recently too just don't have time to play like like shadow of War I'm actually enjoying but I haven't got played it because I want to give it time so I've been playing crap yeah well you know got to do what you got to do I guess there's no time for fun when you've got [ __ ] games to play yep all right well what have you been playing nothing

yeah exactly well I kind of already told you I guess played a bit of yeah Mario Odyssey and that's about it I got uh I played a little bit of Alto Adventure which is an iOS game um I did get uh I got scum VM on my iPad uh the other the other day um uh just cuz I was I'm playing around with xcode for for listeners scum VM is the uh it's like a a program that lets you play all the old Lucas Arts adventure games if you own the data files for them yeah scum VM runs like you know fate of Atlantis and sammon Max and day the tentacle and you just if you own the games you just put the D give this thing the data files and

it can run them so you can play them on Mac or PC or whatever and if you buy them on Gog good old games I think it technically uses scum VM to run them so it's it's an open source piece of software it used to be on the App Store I think for a very short time for Apple stuff but they took it off CU I guess there are technically some copyright issues cuz people who don't own the games are just downloading them and putting them in there uh and also but they're not really games that you can really buy easily anymore you can you can get them on Gog oh that's right yeah it's it's not that tricky but you can't really get them to play on your iPad no you you can't um but the the the other thing is too technically it enables you to run

software third party software that you didn't buy in the app store and they don't like that either so I think there's a few reasons that Apple said no and they kicked it off the store so you couldn't get it but then I realized I'm a [ __ ] developer uh and the source code is available so I just downloaded it and I built it and put it on the iPad myself with my developer account so now I have it on my and now you're going to start selling it no I'm definitely not going to do that I'm just it's just my personal use uh but I got it running uh there's some kind of bug with Zach McCracken which is one of my favorite games of all time where that won't start that's the main reason I put it on there is because I wanted to try out Zack McCracken on there yep uh but that's crashing so I

need to figure that out so I guess technically the answer is I haven't been playing anything because in my my little spare time that I had this week I did that so and uh oh and also you can put Sierra games on there like police Quest and all those as well so I actually own all of them yeah me too so I put them on my iPad and now that I've done that it's kind of like am I going to play them no probably not but apparently I just did it to do it that's that's how I [ __ ] operate for some reason I'm not actually going to play them I need to add in um Bluetooth keyboard support to scum VM to it doesn't support Bluetooth keyboard which I want so that's a project [ __ ] what's wrong with

me I'm also doing music for a video game so I don't have time to do anything else either are you allowed to say what video game no not yet oh no but I am will I play it uh maybe I don't know oh you won't play it if it's not on Xbox will you I might play if it's on Steam oh it will be on Steam almost certainly all right I'll probably end up buying it then all right and then maybe you can stream it we can do some cross promotion maybe I can but uh yeah listeners I'm working on a game not allow to say what it is if that excites any of you that's cool that's cool very cool it's also bit strange it's a strange thing to get excited oh you just me excited not sexually I mean what I whatever whatever

selling it to them whereas others they go you're they're sort of Licensing the music full for for their game so you still own it that's right yeah so what I've been doing now is I give I give them options uh I can you can have I'll I'll do it a bit cheaper if I can keep the rights to distribute it myself later because then I can sell the soundtrack or I can put it up on Spotify or whatever and I I like doing that cuz means I have a bit of you know bit of a presence and a bit of control over it I don't I don't always get to do that I would let you do it thanks bud are you making a game no God no remember we were talking about making a multiple nerdgasm game I'd still like to do that I would love to do that I I can't really do anything

that would be useful but I would love to be part of that process yeah well you would have to voice your character at least at the least yeah yeah that's a that's probably a bigger project that we can we can take on at this point but I would love to do that I'm not sure that anyone would buy it but as long if we kept it simple it might just be fun enough that [ __ ] it we'll do it anyway maybe we could do another in there that I can we have a horse Can it have a horse in it yes yeah absolutely what kind of horse sweet uh I want to track down what my horse look like in My Horse and me too and I want that horse okay uh C can we license the assets from my horse and me too or when I say license when I say license I mean steel because

we don't have any money to license anything yeah okay cool yeah I'm pretty sure that'll be fine that that that I don't think that company's even around anymore okay what about my horse Prince could we use him I didn't care for the horse Prince really no but he's so handsome no he didn't do anything for me you didn't make you breakfast you made me breakfast that reminds me I need to check on him that's that's what I've that's what I've been playing lately I don't think he's that handsome huh you what about the uh the the grounds keeper who is also the your dog apparently I don't know if you've gotten that far in the game I had installed it before I got to that it sounds like you're missing out buddy some quality

[ __ ] advertising you're forced to watch while you're playing this game I don't know why I'm still playing it I just really it's just so weird that I want to see where it goes but it just want you to watch more ads or give them money I know I'm playing right into their hands like it's not going anywhere but it's just so weird that I want to see what I just want to see what happens next us want see what crazy adventure you get up to with a horse yeah I wonder if can you pay to unlock and get rid of all that [ __ ] and no no cuz when I was playing I actually considered doing it yeah that's why I'm I'm like if I can get rid of all this [ __ ] advertising it'd be great like just randomly a [ __ ] video starts playing over the top of the game like I don't know if you're allowed to do that on the

App Store I'd complain but then they might take the game away I've always thought about with the whole ads thing because if I'm out and about and it's just starts playing a pretty much a movie yeah that's using my data yeah oh yeah I don't want to use my data for that yeah it's got an ad for that [ __ ] Adventure preneur or whatever that game is actually you know what I'm don't want to advertise it hopefully that's not even the right name but the they just keep showing an ad for this this game that is not of any interest to me at all but I've watched it quite a few times now Dan you could at least say look this ad doesn't interest me don't show this one show me something else yeah Dan's been playing it too maybe we can do some do uh do a an update on this
