Trydra: Evil Dead 2 Kickstarter Fiasco & Godzilla Trailer

so I'm a little scared this week and it's not because Dan's not here and he's buming around Italy right oh is that where he is of course yeah yeah yeah yeah but I'm doing the right thing and announcing it early in the episode instead of getting to the end to say someone's not here or just not at all yeah all right but that's not the reason I'm scared though what are you why are you scared I got a phone call today oh [ __ ] really yeah I knew it I knew it I got a phone call from Scientology people welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and

Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy yeah what did they say what did they want um well they woke me up from my sleep and I said sorry I was working night shift last night I'm asleep at the moment and they went F it's okay we'll call you back back later and that's all I know but they're starting to chase me yeah they haven't called me back since but I'm scared oh God I told you this was a bad idea I tried to tell you everyone else was like oh this will be funny no they're scary they're well I suppos just calling you isn't necessarily super scary CU you know they're trying but I think you need to you need to shut it down that's just my opinion open the

book I suppose yeah you need to let them know that they're barking up the wrong tree because you are not going to be any good for them no I'm going to be useless mhm I'm too lazy to right be someone that they could get stuff out of yeah cuz yeah the the books here it looks a really nice book it's still in the rapper looks like a really nice book does it yep all right I wonder if they listen to this show I bet they listen to this show that's why I'm still being super nice and respectful about them M when I don't they seem nice yeah I know I know I'm I'm sure at an individual level they are nice people I just yeah I don't know I'll get around to reading the book one day and completing

my homework just don't why no whatever well do you want to have some followup news that might make you sad sure well I sounded more enthusiastic than I probably should about being sad but yeah yeah cuz uh do I yeah well like this week's not [ __ ] sad enough y go on WE kickstarted the same game a couple of years ago didn't we uh Evil Dead 2 yeah yeah we did the ball game uh we also paid an extra $100 each to get dice have you been keeping up to date with what's happening with that game yeah I uh I paid more than that I I got drunk just before the kickstarter ended and I upgraded to the [ __ ] everything like I did yeah yeah yeah I I did keep I did keep up with it h it's even worse for me because I also did the same thing for the Terminator 2 game oh did you so for

those who don't know for those who don't know this space goat Productions yeah space goat Productions they made they did Comics they did like the Evil Dead comics and uh and they had a bunch of I guess licenses for various you know properties like the howling and Prett good licenses yeah like not shitty things like Terminator 2 is quite a big one yeah they'd never made a board game before though but when they did there's a Kickstarter for uh the first one I think the Evil Dead one was the first one it was the Evil Dead 2 board game uh and it sounded cool and it raised like over a million dollars I forget exactly how much yep uh and obviously as we just said we got in on it and then uh drunkenly I some of the offerings were dice made out of the actual cabin that

the the movie was filmed in which is pretty awesome that they were $100 US for two dice I got my dice did you get your dice no see I've got my dice oh I don't have my dice that's that's all I've gotten but and since since then they went on they did a they did a Kickstarter before they fulfilled the Evil Dead one they did another Kickstarter for the Terminator game and then they were they had another one loaded ready to go for a howling board game and then uh after I guess eventually people started asking where's the board games and then they I I don't want to I I I think they went in with the best of intentions but then they they basically just [ __ ] it all up and they ran out of honestly from the impression I got was that they yeah

they've gone very silently out and I honestly do think that they went in going they weren't going in to rip people off or anything like that I think they just got one of these ones where they got too much money yeah and I don't think I don't think they quite well it's like we did too with the kick kickstarters like and I've since seen a lot of other kickstarters say Amanda Palmer said the exactly the same thing about hers recently in in an interview with patreon she said you know like uh we made the mistake on ours with the merch and yep uh it's expensive it's more expensive than you think it is and and I assume with space goat it was the same thing they sold so many copies of it they made all these bonus stuff and it sounds like a lot of money like you

know over a million dollars but then you got to pay for everybody's stuff and people only gave like enough money generally speaking for the stuff that they bought but you got to manufacture it yeah I've funded a lot of Kickstarter games mhm and normally they're quite good because I think a lot of people go in knowing that basically this is a pre-order for a game it's not yes but I think with this when they were still designing it from the ground up y yeah like figures the rules they hadn't even finalized any of that stuff and I think that's where they run into trouble oh definitely because they I mean even as recently as a couple months ago they started posting oh here's the box art and everyone was like the [ __ ] box art where's my game like yeah uh and

there's a print andplay version of it that you can download the the Evil Dead game but I mean well cuz we don't no I want the [ __ ] Minis and I want all the stuff I paid for um and and they I think they were a little misleading about what was going on because they had said that that they were starting the print run and they hadn't and and basically now everyone's got the shits with them people are threatening to sue them which if if if it doesn't not going to get you anything all it's going to get is everybody screwed because y they don't have much money to begin with if you sue them maybe someone will get some money and then everyone else will just get [ __ ] so lawyers will get money yeah exactly but yeah there's no point in s they have

gone quiet I'm still waiting for another update cuz they did do a few updates a while ago and it was basically him saying like sorry we screwed up yeah he was very excited that we're going to try something then they were trying to get more investors yes they ran through that didn't work no because they they went on this platform to attract investors for the company and then everybody from the kickstarter because you could ask questions on the the page for the investors and all the people from the kickstarter went over there by [ __ ] was my [ __ ] game and then all the investors were like like as if why would you ever back that so yeah yeah that was a disaster that was that was a very bad idea on their part I got to say they must have known that was going to happen

last update was May 25th and then silence ever since yeah oh that's the thing I was going to say Amanda Palmer offered uh she said when she did her kickstarted cuz she made over a million dollar or something it was the most money any musicians ever made and she said there was like not aent of it left at the end because you had to pay cuz you had to pay for all the stuff that she promised everybody and uh and the thing that the the biggest mistake she made was that she thought oh let's just say free international shipping and I'm sure it'll work out and it cost her over she spent over $100,000 on shipping things to people yeah yeah you can't you can get away with um free shipping in the country you're in not the world yeah so I we've sent many things

overseas as part of his podcast and it's expensive I spent a lot of money on those mugs I know I I actually went to get to make a mug and I was like jeez how much they're like it's like $15 a mug or something right I I spent hundreds on those mugs getting them and sending them out everyone better love them well I've got a few of them I like them yeah so yeah but I got my d dice you didn't get yours I didn't get my dice now I'm trying to yeah I want to chase that up now I want my dice I got them but then there was a whole thing about uh and I didn't bother looking into it because I was like you know what I don't want to know but there was a whole uh discussion on the kickstarter about whether or not they were actually made from the cabin or from the whether it

was just some [ __ ] wooden dice he found lying around somewhere so I mean they have a certificate of authenticity but uh yeah but I sort of did find a little bit strange that that cin would even still exist well it was being demolished was the story in the kickstarter yeah so the yeah listeners the movie takes place in a in a cabin uh they sh on location somewhere no no no no spoilers for a movie that's [ __ ] 30 years old more maybe um f in a cabin and then they were going to demolish the cabin and apparently they discovered that they could buy the wood from the cabin and make dice out of it and then now there's some question as to whether that was true and whether this was just made from some pallets that the guy had

on hand so yeah I don't care if they're made from pellets I paid a 100 bucks for them I want them yeah I'm surprised you didn't get yours just because I got it might be because could be because I'm in Australia and yeah International so they might have been holding off until send a lot yeah could could be but nice pissed off you've got yours actually sorry come around and you can uh you can have a roll of them I haven't taken them out of the packet they were in a sealed thing with a certificate of authenticity it's still in there it's the stupidest thing I've spent money on for a long time though really okay it's oh like you could spend $100 to get some really nice dice I got as a part of

another Kickstarter I I got a set of [ __ ] metal uh cthulu dice as part of a Kickstarter they're sick any problem is that I'm scared to roll them on my table cuz it's going to take to wreck it yeah but I bet you that it didn't cost a 100 bucks they didn't they didn't I add although I did add a I I bought uh you know the I forget the name of the company I don't want to it might be Q Workshop makes s the dice uh for like the cthulu themed ones and they as part of the kickstarter you could add and get I bought I've got like 10 sets of dice with it I've got more you know more role playing game than I I'll ever need now and they're cool like tentacle themed sweet different colors I lost my dice no I still have lots of Star Wars dice but I don't have any other dice oh

okay like D and D dice I've only got Star Wars I got a few sets of those I got a few sets for the role playing one and I got a few sets for X-Wing and I got a few sets for Amada oh right cuz Xing ones are different too and yeah well I got to keep my D and D ones cuz we still we're still playing playing Little D and D here do you watch uh critical role no I do not I've gotten into it a bit lately I've seen it I that's part of the geek andry oh God I can't even remember the geek and sunry yeah yeah it's uh it's it's a bunch of voice actors they're all actual voice actors I think all of them are uh and they play D and D and it's good it's I like it it's uh it's it's literally a bunch of people playing

so it's different to some of the other stuff like um like Acquisitions Incorporated the penny arcade one and if listeners know the Adventure Zone the one that the maoy brothers and and father do um it's different to those because those are kind of shows whereas this is whereas this is just people playing this is people playing D and they're they're entertaining because they're actors and they're doing voices and their [ __ ] the voices are fantastic um I actually I was trying to listen to it uh as a podcast but I found it hard to follow because I'm not I don't know what their faces look like I'm not even quite sure how many of them are there and when they do and when they do voices I can't [ __ ] tell who's talking because they like they're act

because they're voice actors like Matt merer the the DM He he'll do a voice for an NPC and I'm like who's talking like it's it's actually it's cool but I think the video version of it works better because you can see oh he's doing a voice rather than who the the [ __ ] is this person who just walked into the room yep so but I recommend it it's uh it's good if you if you want to see what actual DND d looks like I mean they they've been playing it for 30 years I think as a group so oh wow so they definitely know each other yeah it's not uncomfortable and stuff it's what an actual group of friends playing D and D is like I think uh they happen to be voice actors so it's a little different but uh yeah yeah

yeah it's good so comic is on that means we've got a bunch of trailers and stuff that have dropped in the last few days and uh and uh a lot of them aren't good yep that's true I can confirm I'm just going straight out there like yeah like I watched the Aquaman one they have no idea what they're doing in this universe do they ah this was this a prequel it must be because it's it's before he's he's an Aquaman he's just he he's it's got his growing up as a kid in it and he learns to talk to fish I I'm still I like James Juan a lot and I'm like losing faith now that this is going to be good cuz the trailer looks if I'm honest it looks [ __ ] awful it looks to me it looks really

awful and so I'm I'm like oh God but I've seen people online who are like Yay it's really I'm excited about then people liked the other movies so yeah I I I think this is people trying to tell themselves that they're going to like it it looks very bad in my opinion like it really yeah I I I don't see it I just don't see it being a good movie and I it's sort of also goes back to they really rush to get this universe created yeah that's true they should have done these movies first and set the tone cuz I could have set the tone maybe built up to it and then also found out what what was working and what wasn't working instead of just committing straight to yeah this dark thing that no one really likes well this one doesn't this

one seems more goofy but I don't know if it's in a good way or not and then just visually this looks like more of the same it might as well be a an animated film for all the actual you know locations in the trailer it it's I mean you could say that about a lot of stuff I guess yeah but but that the second trailer I watched I'm think I'm a lot more hopeful for is it Shazam it's Shazam Shazam looks really good which I was like I was not expecting to think because although I like uh it's Zack Levi as Shazam I like him because I I actually liked Chuck for some reason Chuck was great desite Adam balwi involvement uh yeah that was a good show yeah I wasn't expecting to like this at all but

no it's just it does seem fun yeah is this part of the universe or is this one of the Standalone movies cuz I'm confused with what they're doing now I think it's in Universe there's a shot in the trailer of like a batang like so I'm assuming that that they aware of and then there was a newspaper that said Superman so I'm assuming it's in Universe okay but I laughed out loud at a couple of things in the trailer it looks pretty funny like I do like cuz it is pretty much what would happen if a kid just got superpowers and became big and just wanded around doing became like a guy with superpowers yeah I think it looks pretty good just go around yeah I've got I'm superpow i y that your phone's charged like yeah it's funny it looks looks all right so I'm optimistic

about that I will see that yeah but yeah the reason why I get confused is because the Joker movie is coming out and that's not in the universe no and it's they announced a bunch of stuff this week that I'm just like H you had I was interested in this before even though it's a joker origin story which I think is [ __ ] it's like Jaan Phoenix maybe it'll be good and then they're like oh yeah his real name's [ __ ] what do they say his name was it doesn't matter he doesn't need a real name I don't not that kind of backstory like just okay he will be named Arthur Fleck I don't know what I was expecting but it's not this like no it's definitely not this I think it's always been good except for yeah Batman like in all the games and the comics and everything it's

he's just there right he's he's a joker we don't know where he came from he's just this crazy guy doing crazy [ __ ] yeah he and but now now it's a guy called Arthur and they're going to link him to the way so he's going to be directly not not not like he's not going to be Bruce's friend or anything but he's going to have past dealings with the Wayne family and they're going to it's just no don't do that just just yeah just stop although I guess you could argue the Wayne's are like one of the richest families in Gotham so they're going to be involved in everything but it's just it's just all this not everybody needs to be [ __ ] best friends with everybody no The Joker can come from

somewhere else there are other cities in the universe of of Batman right he doesn't have to have come from Gotham he doesn't I don't need his name to be [ __ ] Arthur like did you play the Batman Telltale Game no um because the jok is in that but it just starts off that he's already The Joker but he's not quite the Joker yet but he's just meets Wayne meets him Bruce Wayne meets him in an insanus is Right meets him in Arkham and then they sort of form this friendship and then he just see the Joker get crazier and crazier right that was sort of a good origin story but yeah you don't need to go yeah further back or anything about where he came from and that his name's Arthur sorry I just think of Arthur from um he's

something for this family yes that I did not care about at all show me Godzilla fighting [ __ ] well you got a bit of that at the end but I yeah I agree I and also the my biggest problem with the the first one was that it can't revolve around a family because it's [ __ ] Godzilla Godzilla goes where Godzilla goes like why is he why is he following this kid around like everywhere this kid goes Godzilla shows up stop it doesn't make S it's 11 she's got power oh in this in this trailer yes I'm talking in the first one everywhere Godzilla just keeps showing up everywhere it's like like that's I didn't they didn't buy that they they really tried to forc down the that that family down our throats right and yeah yeah it should have been about Godzilla

this one yeah Millie B I think this is more so the trailer is going to be showing that I think the trailer is trying to show hey there is a story but I think once we go to see the movie it's just going to be big monsters wailing on each other there's a it seems like there's a lot of monsters in this one yeah I saw there was Godzilla there was Mothra what who's the other one uh three hedra yeah I don't know what his name is it's a Hydra of some sort it's a trra trra cuz it's three trra yeah I think that's his name trra yeah we'll go with that it's trra yeah and Charizard Godzilla Godzilla Mothra and trra and Pikachu they the three big ones and Mecca Godzilla I'd love to see Mecha Godzilla in this

and Magikarp I don't think that's going to happen I'd love to see Magikarp in a monster movie just get stood on so yeah I I I don't I I I feel like the trailer didn't allow me to form an opinion of the film because it's just it was just a bunch of eye candy almost it didn't really tell me anything so no I'm I'm really hoping they have learned and they just go to the we just want to see Godzilla yes that's why we want in a Godzilla movie Godzilla I know it's crazy we've we've got some a couple of pieces of Disney news and I don't know which one do you want to start with uh all right well we still we just

stick with the movies or do we want to say this for after dark no I think uh we could talk about oh maybe you're right yeah yeah let's let's leave James gun getting fir for after dark all right I'm just giving people a bit of a yeah we don't want we don't want to get fired by Disney in 10 years for saying the wrong thing so uh yes yeah oops I accidentally deleted what we were going to discuss and now I've got a formula happening I'm confused I don't know what I've done what the well it's all right luckily I know what that said before Disney Comcast dropped out of the bidding war for Fox which I'm surprised that they dropped out I don't know why they did well it was the price was getting up there maybe they were like you know what

no because I mean I don't know Disney's Disney seemed pretty keen on it I think Disney seemed pretty keen on it but like at last I heard Comcast had actually offered more yes but then Disney was I mean I think they could match any offer from Comcast at this point so look honestly I want Disney to win this because I want X-Men back I want yeah I want them to merge again i' I was because you know they canceled uh the Fantastic for comic books cuz sorry that doesn't make sense to people Disney owns Marvel and Marvel yes canceled Fantastic 4 because Fox earns the rights to some of those characters they can't make movies about them so yeah and all was happening with basically they canel the comics because

they kept making all these terrible movies and the comics are going why are we going to give you free advertising for you ruining our characters and X-Men you listeners who don't know if you notice in in the Marvel movies they don't refer to anyone as X-Men even if they technically are X-Men like Scarlet Witch and uh Quicksilver and that were technically from the X-Men franchise uh but they don't call them mutants or don't call them X-Men because they don't own the film rights they sold them so yes they would then get all that stuff back mhm the other reason why I think Disney are going for it because Disney are also starting their own streaming service soon yeah and getting Fox's back back catalog as something to stream on there would be quite nice as well so

that actually end up saving them money in the long run yeah this is they're going to get there's a lot of stuff they're going to get with this if it goes through yeah there's a ton well the the government said it's all okay as long as I think they have to sell off the news department or something quickly okay they can't hold on to that part of fox I'm not sure Disney would want the Fox News no not quite sure that they would they'd really want that so [ __ ] Disney is Unstoppable at this point I guess okay they just they just seem yeah they just they're going to own everything keep own everything make everything but they they're making good [ __ ] though yes they are like they're not just turning out crap over and over

yeah I know I'm mad at them a little bit this week but yes I know but you know whatever yeah talk about that in the after dark sorry after party after party you [ __ ] did this you you got me saying the wrong thing I said nothing yeah this week I did not mention I want to call it after dark so yes one step closer to Disney uh being your landlord taking over like to submit to our Supreme rulers now yeah yeah just get that out the way they also uh Reviving The Clone Wars technically that's Disney Disney news um now I never I never watched I never got into this no I think we just I think we were the wrong age for

it yeah also the movies the wrong because we watched the movies and we were like oh that's the Clone Wars M and then yeah why would we want to relive more of that cuz I have watched a few few of the episodes they're not bad I can see why I do have a bit of a following but I've heard it's pretty good what I've yeah I've tried to watch but I just can't commit that type of time but yeah with the original series evidently there were a lot of stories that sort of got cut off they didn't quite get to finish yeah so they get to come back and finish off their story oh that's that's good yeah maybe uh I know a lot of people like like Captain Rex people love

him he's a stormtrooper of some sort he's a clone trooper isn't he was your Clone Trooper yeah see I I didn't really watch it that much he's a clone of um D Jango Fett it's Tam Morrison right well probably he probably doesn't the voice kiwi yeah well they all are no it's just we we knew the we had in our heads what Boba Fett sounded like and then they completely changed that when they brought out episode 2 yeah so yeah it's it's only going to be on Disney's streaming service apparently so that's starting next year isn't it uh I don't know but I'm assuming that's going to be a streaming service I'll end up subscribing to because they're going to have everything [ __ ] anything that I

want to see on it they're G have Star Wars and the Marvel movies although I'm not I not haven't really watched any of the Marvel movies again well except for except for two of them that I'm [ __ ] pissed off about this week but that'll be in the Afterparty um yeah I'm not yeah but you've got the option to go and watch them yeah true sometimes that's all you know you just want you like having the option there you may not take it take yourself up on it but yeah or I say like something that I'd hopefully see cuz in Australia we don't have Buffy on any streaming service so I'm Hing Disney come out here we might get Buffy and I can sit down and continue watching that I

think I think it was on Netflix here it was on Netflix but not in Australia okay and then I don't know if it is here anymore I'm not sure me and H were watching it enjoying it and then cuz when I was able to use a VPN to get into the American one but then when they shut that down yeah um I'd have to go and get my DVDs and I'm not putting a DVD in but you paid so much money for those things I did and I just I can't bring myself to watch DVDs anymore I paid so much I'd have to probably put it in the Xbox and the Xbox will probably go hey you haven't watched the Blu-ray thing in Forever I need to update the player and yeah it's just too much effort yeah but hey you can just watch the new Buffy that they're making

I'm I I'd really like it to be sort of not completely new reboot but just sort of picks up now no it's a reboot it's apparent well it's it's just wen's doing it it's a reboot so they're going to modernize it which I guess Buffy could do with that cuz it's very uh it did not age well no no so apparently there well especially the first season yeah um it did get better oh yeah definitely but it was always very cheesy and and it had a goofy tone that I think puts people off of bit but you know it's what we grew up with so you know so it's a it's a reboot um but that's really all I know about it yeah that that's pretty much all there is at the moment yeah reboot yeah they've just

announced yeah and which I'm fine they don't need to announce everything for it until they actually we get closer to it yeah but I yeah I would really hope it's not like just a complete from fresh I'd just like to see it just pick up now from I know the comics did extend cuz it finished at season 7 then Comics did continue the story on but I'd be happy with just pick up season 8 just go get Sarah Michelle G back have her been a libr librarian yeah no because you well as long as Jes is in it oh yeah the best they they now own well Jes owns the magic shop yep then get her in the library get Willow like these people they're not working they would love to get some work again Brendan will [ __ ] do it for

free the only one who wouldn't come back is what's her name Emma Coffield she's does not seem to give a [ __ ] about Buffy anymore yeah but maybe start PID those bills again yeah she she'll show up for conventions she just won't be happy about it is what it is how it seems to me you want to sing no no all right fine but yeah Buffy reboot okay I just it's just it's the only reason I'm because I love Buffy and Buffy's great don't [ __ ] ruin it please I just please don't ruin it although I I mean you can't you can't go back and retroactively ruin it so no it's fine it's just yeah I know as I said like I prefer like if it just continued off I think it could be interesting instead of

going back to the start and then explaining the whole thing again and why can't we just have new things like no one wants was a thing stranger things we got that that was that's perfect it's a new thing and everyone loves it yeah and now and watch they'll [ __ ] reboot that next year like oh reboot stranger things remember stranger things yeah I do because it was on [ __ ] yesterday but there are a ton of new things that go nowhere yeah I know well they were back in the day too I guess I'm just grumpy you you got to you got to follow the money and the money is just getting a name that people already know and re-releasing it I know it's just a business decision along with other bunch

of other Bad Business decisions that were made this this [Laughter] week leave that for the Afterparty speaking of Bad Business decisions Hulu Yep they're going to be making a new television show speaking of vampire related Bad Business decisions yeah based on and is vampire Chronicles and I'm what look who that's I like the vampire Chronicles no this is another thing I grew up with when I was a teenager I liked vampires a lot this will surprise nobody and I love Interview with the Vampire and I read all the books everybody at school read all the all a whole friend group read them probably you didn't Luke I didn't

no I didn't think so I was reading Star Wars books right but Dan almost certainly did uh and I know Dave did and and and Jenna also when she was young did it it it appealed to us at the time does anybody care about them anymore is my question no well Hulu right Hulu thinks that someone does okay cuz they they made a sequel to the movie didn't they yes they combined which was terrible well it's it has a certain charm it has a certain charm and also it has a friend of mine in it so I'm biased but people can be people can good in bad things yeah good point they made Queen of the Damned which is uh that's one it combined the vampire

lat and queen of the damn books into one movie and it's cuz isn't it in the original one in interview of the vampire he says he doesn't know who it is but then lat actually does know the original vampire or some crap uh I have no idea the original it's been a long time since I read the books the original vampire Akasha is the is the Queen of the Damned and her husband whose Name Escapes me they're from ancient Egypt and they the original vampires that is what I remember it's been a while but Akasha was played by Aliyah in the movie who sadly died shortly afterwards in a plane crash I think oh H and it's a pretty good movie if you're if you're like '90s uh bands and uh and cheesy

vampire movies it's pretty good well I just is this uh is this a bit late cuz vampire is it is a weird I didn't they just announce recently that that they're doing a vampire leat movie with Jared Le I'm sure I I thought so I'm sure they announced that cuz I'm I'm pretty sure he twe a photo of the script or something a while back so does this mean that's not happening or is this just an extra thing Artic I mean I could have probably checked that beforehand but that's not why people listen to this show no Jared letter will play a VI vampire in new Spiderman spit off oh God he's going to be [ __ ] morous is he yes [ __ ] hell how could he um is he Joker really wants to be a

vampire oh God can we can we forget about that he's a I like Jared Leto but [ __ ] me he's hitle Miss sometimes I I don't like him mainly because of how he prepared himself for the role of Joker for the Joker and yep you you're not into method acting I'm going to be crazy here have a black rat ooh yeah you're you're crazy the [ __ ] what would okay what would you well it is crazy you don't give animals as pets what what would you have done to to create the vibe that you were a kind of a sociopath if you were casting the role as the for this yeah Matt I think you'll appreciate this as well I would just

act sure just get up there read your lines do what the director tells you go home well tell that to Daniel de Lewis that's all I'm saying wasn't Jared letter upset that he filmed like all these extra scenes that weren't in the movie yeah he gave him options if that was how he worded it he he did yeah again lots of options read the script Jared do we uh do we need a new segment it's like Luke's acting tips I thought that was a pretty good acting tip no I'm saying you only need the one oh you only need the one that's it just show up and read the lines yeah very do what the director says go home fair enough actually I I can't do that every everything I've ever

been in I've always changed the lines you have to skip the words you can't pronounce skip the words I can't pronounce or actually well most things that I've been in we just made up the lines on the the spot no you don't say it like that you don't say it like that you say it was it was improvised that's the ah improvised yeah that's the cool way to say what you just said see I'm just honest yeah oh we just made that [ __ ] up as we ran along no no no some of the scenes were improvised that makes it sound like you're a you're a better actor ah I think I'm an okay actor b a yes and improv yes and M AIDS yeah that's pretty much how our improv went back in the

90s the joke was just always AIDS yeah sorry Disney so video games um yes Todd Howard from Bethesda sort of has announced that don't be expecting a Morrow wind or a Fallout one remake which I'm sort of weird that he spoke about Fallout one yeah I was not considered that would be a thing but all right no because that's actually a game I do like to go back and play now fall out the original is [ __ ] great I like the second one better only because you don't have that annoying time frame at the start again I've never played through the second one I really should the second one is funnier okay cuz I I I really I I played the first one back when it came out that was a great game y

uh and do I still have your original copies of that I think may I think I gave them back to you but I had I think you did give them back before you moved but you had them for a very long time yeah as in like 20 years I had them I think but that's right I own I think I've got those discs I also have I own it on Gog I own it on Steam like I'm covered I buy games twice so many times now because I forget that I have them and it's [ __ ] stupid and I need to stop doing it like it's ridiculous I log I I'll Gog it'll be like oh this game is on sale and I'm like oh great I'll pick it up it's only a couple of bucks so I'm I I mean you know but but still it doesn't that's not the point and then I'll log into steam and be like oh [ __ ] I already have that what a [ __ ] yeah

so you you You' spent a couple of dollars a few times for a game you're not going to play yes exactly although in some cases it's a game that I pirated uh when I was younger so that's that's that's Karma quite happy to give money back that's Karma yeah like Monkey Island for example I have I have uh I paid extra for for thimble weed Park to uh compensate for pirating Monkey Island as a kid I still need to finish that dible weed Park yeah it's good it's good game oh I'm enjoying it but yeah remaster of marind would be good except there's already a ton of them on the Internet so they don't really need to make one yeah like if if you really want it yeah you could get you could get you could play it with Skyrim Graphics there's a mod for that

fans already did it so I think it's not something they really need yeah I'm not surprised that they're not doing it I I also don't think a remake would marwi would not be as good as you remember it's not I've tried to play they did make it look prettier at the time it was [ __ ] mind-blowing because it was it was fully 3D and you could go anywhere and do anything now it's yeah it doesn't have some of the refinements that that Oblivion and Skyrim have so it's yeah yeah so yeah that but that's part of reason why I think they won't go back and do it cuz it's not just updating the graphics here you go they would have to go back and just completely redesign that game for sure and why would you go back and do that when you can be working

on new game so I'm fine but yeah people don't ask for a remake of the original Fallout just go play that it's still a great game yeah and the game play you know they make games like that now because because that game that I I really like the turn-based combat in it I've been playing um I've been playing it for a long time but I I started playing a little bit again is pillars of Eternity because I I love all those old role playing games but I I think I prefer the turn-based combat of um yeah of Fallout just because it I don't know I guess it's easier so maybe that's why but yeah that's what I've always sort of gone back to that's how I like to play cuz to me it's more strategic yeah than just like Wasteland 2 Wasteland 2 is a

good example of it recently yeah that's that's another one I need to go back I can finish that's coming out on switch I got up to the F have to buy I got up to the first fight died and then stopped playing really no that's a good game it's coming out on switch I'm going have to buy again pillars of Eternity 2 is coming out on switch that's [ __ ] the switch is killing it I will probably be getting something to play in switch cuz I go for surger in October so I'll be in hospital for a week so I'm going to be using my switch for that week I can recommend some games I got some got some stuff on there that I uh oh man Hollow Knight get Hollow Knight it's really good why do I know that name did we discuss that recently yeah we you've we've we've uh spoken to the developers like a bunch of

times at facts Luke you you know you know the people who made the game that's why it sounds so familiar yeah they're from Adelaide team Cherry it's a really good game and I'm not just saying that because because we didn't know them beforehand we know them because they made the game and we we we liked it so Did we tell you we saw the guys from armed and gelatinous at PAX East oh those guys that was a fun game yeah it's a [ __ ] great game it's even better now we played it at at East yeah I unfortunately at the moment still in Early Access and I'm refusing to give money to Early Access games I have stopped doing that cuz what happens is I play it now when it's early access and then I don't go back to it when the full game's out

I'm there game i' I know I would have liked and probably played a lot more if I had the full game but yeah people should go and buy this give yeah give him money for Early Access yes win just because I don't do something doesn't mean that you do the same as me yep sorry guys make your own decisions Neil Blum Camp yeah he uh wants to make a game okay so he's just all he did was went to Twitter and just basically went to any game shudio he could think of and just went I have a game I want to direct with Mex has one go best how thises one go about it right and how's it going for him uh oh they don't have Cliffy B did

respond of course which he doesn't make games anymore though does he um I think he will be going I think he did make his own shudio but now he's going back mainstream or something but yeah he went number one seek funing with a fancy PowerPoint in Charisma number two have Publishers arbitrarily approve or disapprove for weird reasons three if approved enjoy the [Music] stress fair but then uh he did actually get yeah he did actually get an actual response though which I forget from what shudio was like yeah have a chat with us and he went okay so we might be getting something from him so it's a Mech game we don't know any details about it all that's all he said is he'd like to direct in in quotes a game with mechs okay cuz uh you know head brain schemes

who did the shutter Run games just put out Mech Warrior the new Mech Warrior which I have I haven't played yet um which is a turn-based combat game like Fallout I guess except it's I don't think there a story as such it's more about missions and combat but uh I guess I'm just wondering if it's that kind of game or is it like a Hawkin style first person shooter we don't anything like that no details nothing okay well so we don't even know to even see the light of day does he know anything about Game Theory I would say he has no idea I bet he has a great story and that's why he needs someone else to come up with the game that's probably which yeah he cuz a game can actually be a better way to get a story across because instead of having

like 2 hours to give everything you've got 10 hours to get your story out there so yeah but the thing with a game you need to well I don't need to tell you there's other things you need to worry about like you know psychologically keeping people invested in the game versus just you know well did you hey if I get a Met game like Titanfall 2 I love that game that just that game I wish i' have got more love than what I did that's like $6 on the cuz the sales on right now the ultimate Xbox sale and I was looking at it but I'm like I don't think I'll play it but I oh but single story great you will you will have feelings for your robot for your Mech I just don't know if I'm going to have time to play it so and but but then I was like it's only

$6 like it might be worth the risk so I just want I got to stop collecting games that I'm not going to play but six bucks is the second one was a lot better than the first one in the first cuz it had a single player campaign in story The Single play was yeah multiplayer yeah like there was story there but you had to go hunting for it right like the original Destiny where there was a story somewhere but I still don't know where that story is I didn't even play the sequel that yeah but if you do get a chance I would recommend playing Titan 4 to all right I'll see I like I said I just don't know I'll play it so I I don't want to slap down a big $6 on it that's all for this we thank you for listening and we hope you enjoyed the
