game okay it's is it one thing needs to fix it needs to save my settings for my controller yeah that would be good every time I log back in I have to change it all back to inverted every time do you know these days we're the heathens yes are you do you invert Dan uh [ __ ] no Matt uh because I'm not a freak yeah okay that's the reaction I get a lot um yeah I don't know why you would want down to be up and up to be down and I never understood the appeal I guess you've never flown a plane Dan so no I haven't I haven't but I put it to you that neither of you man I actually have I've flown x-wings Tie fighters I've flown a 747 will I stand corrected I mean I flew a plane recently not like

as in in the last couple years not and then you were like [ __ ] it I'm inverting my controller from now like how do I invert this yeah no all right yeah so they I assume that'll be fixed before launch I hope I would assume so it's sort of a big thing to forget to do save your controller settings a but they might be focusing on you know on other things so I'm sure they'll get around to it so it's good though it's fun is it is it first or third person it's third person when you're out and about fighting things but then it's first person when you sort of in the city walking around interacting with people when does it go into second person cuz that's that's the gameplay style that I really enjoy I just want to look myself in the face as

I'm playing while you're shooting people behind you yeah yeah I don't care about them I want to see I don't want to see what it does to my character emotionally psychologically I've been playing uh a little bit of the division again uh and man that's a really great game I'm [ __ ] terrible at it but uh that is a great game so but it got me excited to is it that kind of I mean obviously it's completely different cuz it's [ __ ] at this time it's you sort of get missions in the city and then you you sort of you have to I'm always playing with people right I don't know if there's a way I can play by myself but so far no one tried to talk to me so that's been great good don't want that no but yeah when I first started playing I I was going no this is just like

Destiny I'm not going to like it but then I remembered I actually did enjoy Destiny as well yeah this thing was it was only when I finished the story and it got to the grinding part that right sto liking it and it'll be the same with this game yeah and the division the division too right when you finish the story the second grinding is the best part no no no a game in a game oh oh right sorry no I didn't play it I was uh I was grinding yeah the grinding is not for me yeah I don't have to do that no no you don't mate your body's nobody's business but yours that's right exactly all right well it comes about uh this 2 22nd yeah hopefully they fix the fre controller saving by then it's just so annoying every cuz I forget every

single time I log in and hang on how long before how long when once it goes gold right and they submit it to the X to to Xbox how long does it take for approval and all that it is it too late probably not right oh it's going to have basically the game that I'm playing now is the full release right so they're probably not going to be able to fix it in time oh no it's G to have to be a patch that out patch yeah that's embarrassing it's all games do it though oh I know that's a that's [ __ ] games now is it ready ah it's ready enough yeah yeah start playing it and F it's a state we can sell it to people and that's all that matters we can't push the launch date any further than we already have yeah all right cool I'll uh I'll happily check that out I don't know

if I'll buy it at launch but we'll see I watch the videos actually I assume there's a ton of videos now of it oh yeah I should have streamed it for you you should have but you didn't hey we got some we got some followup that um that might make you sad Luke why why am I going to be sad Mars one is bankrupt no yeah even with the $30 you gave them for a form you didn't even print out let alone send back they've uh even even though there are company who's who lit as far as I can tell the only thing they've done is charge people to fill out a form um they've they've still managed to uh have to declare bankruptcy

yeah and they put up a a post saying they're currently working on a solution with an investor but then they deleted that post so yeah unfortunately that that may have fallen through so well I think once you've declared bankruptcy you it doesn't matter what you can come up with right like the time to come up with a solution with an investor is before you declare bankruptcy yeah that's probably true maybe they didn't realize that I mean it's not surprising that somebody who ran this kind of business and had he go bankrupt doesn't know the ins and outs of filing for bankruptcy we'll up file for bankruptcy uh one day maybe things crossed yeah I'm sure we I'm sure at some point this podcast will go bankrupt officially yeah

the kickstarter almost we start bankrupt morally bankrupt you're thinking luk oh it did it's a different thing so yeah so uh we going have to find another what did they spend their money on ah oh they just put in their pockets yeah cookers and bl and now it's got to the time where they actually need to produce something and they've gone sorry we're out of money we can't keep the lie going forward anymore I don't know what they spend it on I mean maybe they spent it on stuff that they actually thought was going to get them to Mars possible that's the reason they've gone bankrupt I mean they're like yeah guys this is going to cost a lot more than the $30 from each person that paid us for a form this is going to cost billions upon billions of dollars

yes and then everyone else was like yes we we've been telling you that for years we told you this at the start and then yeah they would so it's it's like the whole world now is going wait this wasn't a scam you guys you guys were really going to drive people bars yeah oh well I didn't realize how far they' pushed back their launch date well we were supposed to be there by now I think originally no no it was always going to be the first man mission was 2020 Luke was supposed to already be the last one to survive up there yeah oh 2018 they were supposed to have robotic missions uh going on up there that didn't happen that was last year I remember in the original original announcement when this first came out they were planning to have the first man

mission in 2020 it's saying now uh the first crew of four launching in 2031 was the was the timeline that they was didn't they actually announce the crew that they' picked like last they they announced the crew last year I remember there were some interviews with with people who were getting ready to go some guy in Perth or something we talked about I wonder how ready were they you know what I mean yeah how ready could they have been there poor decisions they should have got they should have got me more involved now that I agree with well maybe they they couldn't find you because you didn't send you [ __ ] form in they're like What's Luke's phone number I don't know there no we can get a form from him yeah and who's Luke we don't know we don't know his name

hold and and and uh and look into it and if he is guilty just [ __ ] he should be in jail and uh and not making films I'm just putting that out there if he if he is guilty of the charges as alleged let's just stop letting him make films for starters and then and then go from there yeah yeah get him in jail get Rehabilitation happening and then we'll go from there if if he wants to take a camera into the prison with him and just like videotape the constant be and raping I'm I'm okay with that M you know I might watch that I'm not going to pay 1350 for the ticket but I'll download it on the Pirate Bay you know what I'm saying um do we know what studio was going to produce red Sonia I only asked because uh I mean I I'm available and

and I haven't relisted any kids Millennium I believe was producing and there was I want to be very careful because I don't want to get sued but Millennium film CEO AI Lerner uh was the person who originally said um his original statement said the over 800 million Bohemian rap CID is grossed making it the highest grossing drama in film history is Testament to his remarkable vision and acument I know the difference between a gender-driven fake news and reality I'm very comfortable with this decision in America people are innocent until proven otherwise it should be noted that uh ay larner has allegedly been uh involved in some similar oh good lord so uh yes H so they've now they've now come out and said actually now it's

on hold yeah right look I would actually really like to direct the red Sonia remake because uh yeah I look I'm not specifically a fan of this of of the old film because it's not very good uh let's be honest you a you're a fan of tits I I'm definitely a fan of tits and I'm a fan of Conan you know what I mean and um this is Conan with tits so right to be fair Conan is also Conan with tits but this kind of the tits of the main character that's true and in fact um Arnold Schwarzenegger was in the original red Sonia um yes as not as Conan also he didn't know he was going to be in it either did you know you know that story from his you know I've read his audio he was just hanging out one day and then he was like were you filming me he said that that that is

sort of true according to him he said he didn't want to do it and they said just do just come in for a day right and they shot him in like a handful of scenes on like 30 cameras from all different angles and then just used that footage he says I can believe the film and then he just yeah they used it to make him basically a main character so I'm actually interested to watch the film that sounds very similar to when Edwood knew that b legosi was going to die so he just went over to his house and just filmed him doing a bunch of random things and then just built a story around that who would you cast us red Sonia in your version Dan oh God uh you've put me on the spot here sorry I don't know yeah it's a tough

question tell you what give me to next week to think about it and to kind of you know review some uh some casting videos and um resumes yeah I mean and I I tell you what I'll go one better by this time next week um before this episode drops I'll uh I'll I'll have a poster I'll have a film poster ready to go um as part of my pitch to the studio um and the poster will feature my uh my pick pick yeah yeah all right very good and in in uh in other red news uh city project red is going to be paying the author of The Witcher series of books more money mhm look that's nice of them because they've made made a whole lot of money off of the he really did get paid next to nothing yeah but he did sign a contract to say that that was all he

wanted in in in their defense he didn't get paid much because they didn't have much money when they made the first game that was the whole point they said we'd like to make a game of this [ __ ] book that no one's ever heard of outside of Poland and then he was like video games are [ __ ] stupid so give me 10 grand and they said all right and that was it but uh yeah apparently there was a clause in the contract allegedly that uh said that he'd get more money if they made significantly more and I don't know I think they just kind of sorted it out this is he didn't they sat down and as with what always happens settled out of court someone's being attacked by a werewolf yeah just ignore that just ignore it yeah okay no no problem they made an agreement to maintain a healthy

relationship and and they've given him an undisclosed amount but probably less than the 16.1 million he wanted now that sounds like a lot and don't get me wrong it is but do we know what CD project red have made off of this franchise so far cuz I bet it's a lot more than $16 million yeah almost certainly uh I don't know exactly but yeah it it must be and I mean he did invent all of these characters and the world and it if anything the only argument for him not getting money is that he signed a contract so yes but but to be fair to them they said look we think this is going to be huge how about we give you a little less upfront and then we give you points on the back end of this thing

potentially making you a billionaire in 10 years time and he was like just give me the money now video games are dumb and also think about from the game though he's now he's now getting paid for a tele show now as well yeah that's true yeah and I bet you he he agreed to more this time oh yeah he's not going to make that mistake again no television shows are stupid Netflix who's heard of Netflix [ __ ] off well see but that's normally good advice like you know what they say they say like oh if you you know someone comes to you and says oh we want to make a thing will you do it for you know for exposure or you know maybe we'll make some money one day you're supposed to say no [ __ ] off give me the money up front so he did the he did the the

textbook thing they say you should do as an artist and uh and he was wrong but imagine imagine that you're this guy like and you're at the dinner party and somebody's like oh what do you do for a living I'm an author what have you written anything I would have read um yeah I'm the I created all the characters and the situations for The Witcher series and they're like [ __ ] man you must be a millionaire and it's like dude that didn't even pay for the new kitchen in my house yeah yeah I'm a 10,000 air yeah before tax I can see that's right I can see why he was annoyed but yeah they've they worked it out and I'm I'm glad cuz yeah you know he's uh he's he really came up with something great yeah and you never know he might he might

keep keeping keep coming up with stuff now for them to use mhm yeah the books are good uh they might maybe they'll be allowed a little more access to newer stuff he's done too who knows is he still working on stuff I guess I don't really know he's getting on a bit now I think I don't I don't know how to pronounce his name so I'm we've not said his name it's not that you know I'm not it's just easier not to no yeah we get in trouble usually for that kind of thing often speaking of getting in trouble um we've got some uh some blackface followup so Katie Perry has released some shoes now I think this one I I think this is somewhat forgivable because probably they were only looking at the the other colors of the shoes or something and they didn't really pick up

on it but she's released a set of shoes that have faces on them and the black ones look like blackace that's basically and look here's the thing I mean I I'm very keen to hear what Luke has to say about this but I tend to agree M I think when you when you put this picture next to all the other terrible blackface clothes then yes it looks bad but actually this is also available in White And as far as I know other colors as well and uh you know there's a gold one just just the color black isn't racist on its own right yeah I mean the the the it they have blue eyes I mean presumably it's supposed to be Katie Perry I guess it's got big just ktie Perry's eyes and lips on any color shoe you want oh yeah and it just happens that the black ones look bad but uh look they they've pulled

them from Market yeah look it yeah it's but she didn't apologize she just came out and said uh you're all offended so I've taken them off the market but that's it she's saddened that her design was compared with painful images of blackface by critics online and that's using the word design very liberally as well sorry this looks I'm sorry the googly eyes I slapped on my shoes offended you this look like does look like it's something a child would make in Primary School kindergarten yeah so more forgivable than that [ __ ] Gucci blackace sweater disaster but what's the line here because I like can you just not put eyes on anything black or is it just the lips is can you like go for your life but just do not put huge lips if the lips weren't on there it wouldn't

it wouldn't conjure up that image that's it's got to be the lips like it just it just looks like one of those like character CH and that's yeah so we got any uh making a murderer follow yeah there is some making a murder of followup um and look like we've talked about this case to death and I I really think the whole second season of making a murderer was really just kind of trying to cash in and doing 10 episodes without giving at me any new information I feel like they they made me less convinced he's innocent with the second season I was like you guys have [ __ ] got no idea what you're doing yeah exactly right you're grasping with stws however the most recent uh allegation that's come out is quite interesting um and it's that um the

district attorneys were ringing each other up and talking about new evidence except that um one of them accidentally rang Kathleen zelner the uh defense attorney for Steven Avery um cuz he's doing this thing and I go to do this all the time you want to send like a text message about someone yeah and so you you automatically go to their name and you think oh [ __ ] no no no I'm gonna rag this person out yeah I messages saying Luke's are can't that's right so um Kathleen zeler [ __ ] turns on her answering machine in the morning and finds a [ __ ] voicemail message saying uh hey uh let's not let Kathleen zner know that we've got that [ __ ] pelvic bone let's just keep that to ourselves shall we yeah but then what they said was let's let's

check if we've got it and but they're not teller so they don't even know if they've got it so yeah up [ __ ] circuses with less clowns than this oh it's ridiculous that's that's why the it it I feel like the first season made it seem like you know maybe there was this conspiracy maybe it's you know maybe you know it seemed like there was something some kind of plot or some kind of you know design to things and then the second season just pulled it all apart and just made it seem like no these people just it's all over the place like [ __ ] who knows what happened and he probably do it cuz none of the none of what anyone's saying is true like zela's just saying whatever get him out of prison it's not she's not

interested in the truth really she's no it's not about that anymore it's just about winning or losing a court case yeah I feel like it's less there was less of a a narrative with season 2 about what happened now it's just like [ __ ] let's just yeah it's about keep filming keep filming yeah I don't know like with it from one episode to the like one episode she's she's like oh that [ __ ] neighbor did it and then the next episode she's like no that neighbor definitely didn't do it yeah because she asked him off hand in a car and he was like well I didn't do it she's like oh well he's convinced me exactly let's try the next person yeah we'll see what happens I think I think he's staying in jail to be

honest at this point yeah probably is we've talked in the past about how we wanted to play Civ 6 well actually no sorry sorry Civ five I think we I've never come out and said I want to play Civ 6 all right let me make that perfectly clear well I I got I've I've purchased Civ 6 and uh and I was looking at the uh the various modes available and I've noticed that it includes Cloud save online play which is exactly what we were trying to do with Civ 5 yes look if that's the case then you know I'm open to getting something Stu started here all I have to do is hit click install Y and we can uh we can play it's it's basically the the thing that you had to hack together to do in Civ 5 and uh you

can just do it in Civ 6 we just got at each other as friends and then each one takes a turn and it sends the save game to the next person and then you take your turn so well that sounds fabulous play in your own time mhm mhm mhm I mean this game will take us months to finish that's right that's all right it can be like one of those epic games of Chess yeah that goes on for years Y and I think we've got we've got a good platform here to to kind of document what's going on cuz we had talked in the past about trying to you know record it and put it up but I think that's going to work cuz how the a who the [ __ ] going to edit it and then not know what everyone else is up to and it's just too complicated so I think what we should do is we should start a game like this and

know he's name yeah he's quite popular in general um but yeah he does uh he does stream video games he also streams himself making music and stuff a lot but not anymore not on uh not on Twitch anyway because this week he was playing player unknowns Battlegrounds and someone kept killing him and he said is that some [ __ ] Co sucking stream sniper and uh obviously I'm going to bleep defending ter was it did we ever find out if it was it was definitely a sniper uh so I mean the rest the rest of the sentence uh probably not necessary but uh yeah and um and he's not repentant he said [ __ ] off you know what people know that I didn't mean it the way that everyone's taking it and sry he said is that some [ __ ]

[ __ ] stream sniper he wasn't meaning it he didn't mean it as a homophobic slur so I just just just to just to clarify yeah yeah some [ __ ] [ __ ] stream sniper can be used in a context that's not a homophobic slur yeah apparently so it is not an ideology he holds closely to his moral standing that is that is the sentence that he typed on Reddit in response wait a minute homophobia is not an ideology he clo he holds closely to his moral standing yeah he's not he's not he's not a homophobe I don't that's is that what that means I think it care either way look he's no he's no Wordsmith he like M I don't give a [ __ ] about so why would I have said it in a bad way he's trying to

means you know what means yeah no apparently he doesn't it's funny they banned him and then he said oh we've had some fun Partnerships and they were a great company to work with but but I'm going to cut this one short they baned you guys um I was in Australia a couple of weeks ago and I got I got hooked absolutely hooked on a little a little Australian reality TV show called um Married at First Sight really luk are you uh you watching any of that mate no I am not okay so for the listeners who don't know uh the premise is that they uh have this team of experts that match up people who have been unlucky in love with they uh perfect Partners you know under the premise that like you've

you've had problems choosing yourself we we'll choose for you and then we we see Partners also unlucky in love they both or the no I'm just is it fine I'm happily married taken me out of my marriage at gunpoint get in the [ __ ] car you're coming on the show sorry the uh the algorithm says it's you um no they're all Lucky in love but uh this week's episode um just contained uh quite numerous uh usage of uh of the word [ __ ] which I did it enjoy enjoyed hearing on Australian TV now they did beep it out and in fact after the the the ad breaks before any of the segments where this one character said this word um they came up with a warning saying that there was adult content ahead I like oh what a what what a adult content is that it's just some guy

calling his wife can't yeah you were hoping to see a bit of dick but uh no yeah I'm always hoping to see a bit of Dick um people use my Australian as an excuse to use that word here sometimes that's great which I think it's great no it is funny it's like the people you're not CU you know here it's not you know it's not a word you you should say it's it's taken as much it's much more offensive here than it is in Australia and to be clear it is still offensive in Australia yeah I was about to say I think we're brushing this off where where from it's used quite colloquially but it's not like for our overseas listeners it's not like the in the News Bulletin the okay [ __ ] welcome to the

mentally swapped countries or something Luke are you you we have you're an honorary American maybe I that I need enough crap to be I uh I flew back from Japan yesterday on a Delta flight that was um on route to yeah man it's awful plus when you get on an American plane even if you're not going to America you have to do all the additional Security checks it's just an absolute pain of the ass but I got into a Plane full of Americans and oh my God they are huge people like they are just they as a as a collective they are massive human beings yeah we got some biggans but I do remember that we got some sonas the most yeah yeah men and women yeah the uh the thing that really cemented my idea of who Americans were

and what they were all about was when we were at the IHOP in Anaheim and we were eating uh we were eating scrambled eggs and they were really good and former former co-host of this show Dave asked the waitress these eggs are great what do you put in them and she just turned and casually said pancake batter so yep there you go been adding pancake to your uh there was something else that that we like why is this oh mashed potato and then what and then it's it's cuz it's 90% sour cream yeah that's right [ __ ] hell I do enjoy going to IHOP I enjoy all crap food over in America you see the thing is now I've found you can you can get you know less crappy versions of all that good stuff you just got to you just got to know where you where to go so that's why I'm

too lazy better I've been uh I've been going to the gym actually I think is the biggest thing I've been running and eat well and exercise Matt keep that to yourself turns out that's the secret Christ if that gets out cuz I do still eat pancakes I like a good pancake oh yeah yeah I love don't need as many of them that's that's the that's the main thing yeah just stick to the first two stacks yeah we're speaking of America yeah uh yeah I know where you're going we've got some um we got we got some drama over here at the moment uh just regarding what to do on the southern border uh I don't want to go into it too much but uh there's a grer in Arkansas oh they they're a chain throughout Arkansas Mississippi and Louisiana and this week the intellectual

friend's back super glued big bright dildos and uh of course when uh when his friend woke up he looked in the mirror only to see that he now looks like a sexual porcupine I just have a question like was he passed out cuz if I was asleep and someone was doing this it wouldn't be sort of you'd feel it you would wake up L you didn't feel a lot of the stuff I used to do to you when you slept maybe I did feel it and I just wanted to continue so that's why I pretended to sleep Fair that's fair uh this guy had to go to the emergency room uh to have the glue dissolved because super glue uh well you know it glues things really well do you have to go to the emergency room to get Super Glue dissolved is there not something you can purchase

that does that I think it's just because it was at night sure I just noticed he's he's got he's wearing boxes that say ba which just makes the whole thing a little more amusing to me yeah and of course you can't throw on a shirt when you've got 10 dildos sticking out of your back so he's just wrapped himself in a sheet taking himself down to the local ER and gotten the dildos removed from his back not the weirdest place people have removed dildos I bet possibly actually you know I've said that probably is the weirdest place they've had to remove them from because you don't often that's not the most common place to pop on is you know on your back no that's not where they end up 10 of them generally not you know what I don't actually we should not be discussing I don't want to

first where they would people were dressed as zombies and then like pretending to attack people until there was actually uh someone drove their car into a into a pole and I was like actually it's quite dangerous Jes you need to be careful about it um Hannah just sent me a message she just called me out um she reminded me that when I was in hospital for surgery I was just sleeping through when they were taking my blood I took more than your blood that Night Luke yeah and they did they also glued 10 dildos to your back and you didn't you didn't wake up yeah can I didn't wake up for it can I tell a story that I'm probably going to get in trouble for um absolutely so it's not that bad I've probably built it up now but I

was in Japan this week right and I like I I've I've famously got into arguments before about what I think about the revisionist history that the Japanese have about their activities during World War II right sure um and I was in Japan this week and I was like don't don't mention the war like just don't ask people about it like they don't want to talk to you about it J exactly yeah that's right I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it no uh so I was in I was shooting in this this Alleyway and the the guy that I was with he's like uh oh you know this is this street is known as Blood Alley and I I said oh why why is it called Blood Alley and he said her people used to

sell blood here and I was like why why sell blood yeah and he said you know they' they'd sell blood and they go and use the money for gambling and I said what who they selling it to yeah I'm like who's whose blood are they selling and he says mate after World War II we had a lot of blood here and I was just like [ __ ] hell what and I really wanted to ask him follow-up questions but I I didn't I think what he meant was I think what he meant was giving blood you know being paid to give blood to like Red Cross you know they just had line around yeah that's what he made it sound like like after the rape of n Jing they just brought all the

blood back with him like what are we going to do with this do we sell it I think he said he made it sound like that but you have projected quite a lot of that onto him right fair fair like and anyway my point was I don't think he was trying to take the conversation in that direction and I uh I was really you were gagging for it you were gagging wanted it so bad I wanted it badly yeah yeah speaking of War episode 9 of Star Wars has finished shooting and they JJ Abrams posted an emotional photograph of uh spoiler of the star Oscar Isaac's jumbo Jager and Daisy Ridley hugging Oscar Isaac's look at him he's all sad he's all cry the stars that

the title refers to I just got it but they're not even at war look at them they're hugging that's what I want you to think so I guess that's probably the end of the movie when the war's over where are you where are you looking at this picture Star Wars news okay yeah on look I mean you you're talking about projecting here you you're projecting a lot on this image as well okay um for starters John BOA just looks neutral right he's staring off he does he's just Daisy Ridley's uh face is obscured and uh and Oscar Isaac looks like he's in tears that's exactly I don't know what the [ __ ] going on here but uh I've also heard a rumor that uh Cinemas have been delivered

the trailer ooh because okay I think wonder what it's was going to show with what's coming out soon that's Disney related Captain Marvel so it be Captain Marvel that I'll have it with then mhm it it was after they finished shooting apparently that they announced the title for the the last two the previous two but this seems like this comes out at the end of the year doesn't it yeah I was thinking about the other day I'm like don't they usually spend a lot longer on the on the visual effects but I mean I assume they they've been doing them the whole time it's not like they they've just like waited till they finished and then they're going to start but still usually that stuff takes a couple years I thought at least it did

with the prequel but remember but now with movies you can be basically still be throwing stuff together the day before it comes out and still true yeah that's an interesting point though my friend's a Matt Painter at uh at I'm going I'm going to yeah that's right he's he paints beautiful portraits of you mat um but I'm going to ask him how long they've how long they've been working on this already for cuz that's a very interesting question H yeah but yeah for a lot of it they wouldn't even had to have even started filming from to start working on the computer side no that's right and it's not even like you need a shot because I mean half of the space [ __ ] now that there's no live action whatsoever yeah film models like they used to um look I I'm not necessarily

psyched for Captain Marvel but I'd probably buy a ticket to it just to see the episode 9 trailer if that was the only way I could see it yeah I'm hoping that we are allowed to go to Star Wars celebration and that they show it there yeah because that would be great be fantastic it be good to see that just for for a for a Skywalker Saga film just be able to do that it' be kind of cool yeah I think yeah absolutely I caught up on a film this week that I'd been avoiding um I was on a plane yesterday and I decided uh why not I'll watch an Man versus the WASP ah see I was going to watch that the other week and I didn't so I I'm going to watch the first Ant-Man this week look I famously didn't like the first Ant-Man I thought it was it was

all right plain plain vanilla and uh but then I loved the character of Ant-Man in Captain America Civil War so that's what convinced me to watch the Ant-Man I was like I don't care about Antman and then Civil War I was like that's great and then deliver Ant-Man versus the w is twice as good as the original Ant-Man it's still it's still lesser Marvel you know it's it's up there with with films like Spider-Man homecoming you know they're not Avengers movies sure but homecoming was good yeah yeah no I liked it and I liked anime versus wasp you know what I mean like it's a bit cheesy a bit Camp um but there's some like legitimate humor and Paul rud and Michael Douglas have like genuine onscreen comical chemistry

like I don't know if it's them two or if it's the writing or just a combination but just I was I was laughing out loud on a plane okay all right yeah Rel much less on uh whoa look how big the stuff is around him than the first one did yeah I think the first one suffered from it it it should have been directed by edar right and I think it yeah and then if they' stayed on the course that they were originally on yeah it probably would have been a lot better yeah but no it's Charming uh I really liked it uh it stars Michelle Fifer and a young Michelle Fifer oh so there's that um she in is she in the Catwoman costume cuz I'm into that she's not unfortunately but she is in the she's in

the costume so there's that yeah um watch veline Lily's also in this she's attractive isn't she I was reminded I was reminded of that I I don't want to you had forgotten yeah um do you know Angeline veline Lily decided she wasn't going to be an actress anymore after uh lost and then really and then got convinced somehow by the Peter Jackson to do The Hobbit and then well I mean her husband is also in The Hobbit right and then and then did me I I think that's the order of events but I remember reading that she was she did lost and then she was like I don't think I want to be an act anymore oh wow wow she's just like no just be happy being D nor manahan's uh housewife is she his wife there you go yeah y didn't know that there you go the little

hobbit boy yeah who's in Star Wars Episode 9 The Circle of Life all right well maybe I watch it man uh yeah I think you should actually I think it's quite uh quite good yeah yeah I mean you know it's it's a comedy it is a comedy with with some superhero St you want that every now and again yeah yeah actually yeah I preferred actually the comedy Marvel movies than the serious ones look I think you would likely really like this because you you do like to not have to take your superhero movies seriously yes and this sure as hell doesn't but in in a really Charming way all right I will give it a go well I'll watch the first one first I there's this one bit it doesn't give anything away it's just it's just one of the one of the layers to this um cuz they can

shrink anything right not just people um and so they've got this collection of cars that they can use at any time um that they shrink down to tiny tiny sizes when they're not using them right right and they keep they keep them in the Hot Wheels um carry case that's shaped like a big wheel that that you could get when we were kids you know that thing yeah that's cool that's clever it's just it's just Charming did you see that um James Cameron confirmed those weird Avatar titles were real yeah I've seen avatars in in the spreadsheet here he confirmed that those are the titles of the films apparently yeah right just I mean they meant nothing to me it was just the uh the titles of the Apparently of the Avatar 2 3 4 and 5 are Avatar the way of

water Avatar the seed Bearer Avatar the tolhan rider and Avatar the Quest for air mhm apparently oh boy according according to James karon I think those are the names I think they've made a big mistake filming all of these at the same time look we'll see Avatar is in the spreadsheet here because I actually Revisited it this week too did you interesting I did I haven't seen Avatar since the one and only time I saw it at the cinema um I saw it at midnight screening and I saw it twice and I liked it both times I liked it I didn't like it and uh so I thought [ __ ] it it's a long time there's no hype now I'm not watching it in 3D so there's no gimmicks I'm just going to watch this

as a film MH and I [ __ ] turned this off 45 minutes in because this is just terrible movie it's it's really like James it's so beautiful yeah yeah look the production is is is but it's just so onedimensional like and I think what's going to happen with the sequels is the novelty of this has worn off we've seen 3D now we've moved on type of thing so I'm 100% willing to admit that probably the reason I liked it so much is that it was [ __ ] space [ __ ] and colorful and and amazing and in 3D and I saw an IMAX twice and I actually haven't watched it again since and I remember being good yeah I think I enjoyed the experience um I don't really and since since then I've read all the criticisms of the film and

I can't disagree with them like look while we're talking about films that I Revisited this week and and look I'm going to anger I'm going to anger the listeners if I go on for for too long but I I popped uh I popped the Last Jedi on this week as well [ __ ] and um MH guys it's last time you rewatched it you liked it I know I didn't like I didn't like it so maybe it just depends on what type of mood you're in no I think I think there's there's some good stuff in it but just the majority of the film is just poor storytelling to a point where yeah this is this is bit at the start right where uh PO damaran is is speeding across the top of a dreadn right and uh he's he's taking out the

surface cannons right mhm yep and um and he Ju Just in I mean that was perfectly clear because you saw on the screen you saw his ship going across the surface taking out the surface cannons right and you're like oh okay this guy's uh this guy's doing something's taking out the service cannons in case you didn't know what he was doing he gets on his radio and he goes Cali I'm taking out the service cannons and you're like okay I didn't need that didn't need that I just watched it and in case you still didn't know what was going on it then cuts inside the ship and H goes he's taking out the surface cannons and it's like

guys come on like yeah I I hate I I really really hate all of the the the garbage that happened along with it like because I feel like it's a to criticize it now is kind of like a almost controversial like cuz they made it a I mean and when I say they I mean the the [ __ ] who were like don't put any women or Asians in my movies like I feel like you get lumped in with them now if you say you didn't like it it just drives me nuts cuz I feel like it's just not a very good movie yeah it's not it's really not and here's the thing because all of the all of the stuff like Luke being a disappointment I actually really like that I like that Luke plays against type there I like that she's traveled across the Galaxy to

find this guy and he's like no I'm not what you think am his talk about how the Jedi were [ __ ] a bunch of dicks and and like yeah cool all right I agree I've seen the I've seen the pr too and I agree that's right exactly right so none of that bothers me none of the story elements bother me that's the stuff I like none of the yeah yeah yeah that's all fine and I like you know I still like the fact that they um I felt like the the the titty milk scene was a little too weird for me but that's fine you that's Star Wars was weird fine there's there's there's a there's a whole chunk it's it's the titty milk and then the fishing scene that they could have just removed verbatim and it would have it would have been just as good or just as bad but um but it's not that

it's just a lazy storytelling that irks me I read a post recently that said that people who who Star Wars fan some Star Wars fans shouldn't generalize uh I think this applies to me some people this film tried to make to to to dissect Star Wars down and and to to show you that the the hero's myth is kind of silly and it tried to you know like invert all this kind of stuff like that and that's I don't want that that's that's not Star Wars cuz Star Wars is that is is the archetypes and the the heroes myth and I don't want you to [ __ ] around with it cuz yeah fine maybe maybe there is something some truth to that like the hero's journey is [ __ ] that's fine but not in Star Wars please cuz that's that's what I

want from Star Wars you know I'm happy JJ's been brought back to finish it I I I know there are people who [ __ ] hate the force awakens and think JJ they're definitely people who [ __ ] hate JJ ARS think he's he's a hack I [ __ ] love JJ arams man I think he gets it or he he gets me you know like we've talked about this before all the stuff that people hate about JJ Abrams man I [ __ ] I love that [ __ ] he's great more mystery boxes please Abol I see what you're doing and I like it yeah yeah and more Super rates please yes yeah more movies like that more movies where you just go Steven Spielberg doesn't make movies like this anymore so [ __ ] it I will yeah I want to

watch Overlord I haven't watched that yet that's the uh he he didn't he didn't direct it or I don't think he wrote it he just produced it but it's um but he only puts his name to good things usually so uh yes it's Nazi zombies so oh okay it's like a a Air Force Squadron what do you call them the paratroopers get they go into this village with a mission to find out what the Nazis are up to and they discover some secret laboratory ores yeah looks [ __ ] awesome that sounds [ __ ] great uh we also mentioned a film on this podcast a couple of weeks ago um just the title alone took my fancy the man who killed Hitler and then Bigfoot oh yeah I still haven't seen the film but I did track

down the trailer and uh guys it's not a comedy it's like like a serious film and it's got that guy from the big Labowski in it the the cowboy guy yeah well I think he's a cowboy guy in every movie he's in I think that's yeah the guy the cowboy guy who's in all the movies the mustache whatever his name is yeah you listeners you'll know who I mean when you see a picture of him I don't know his name and you probably don't either so no you don't and I the guy who drinks the sarella in the big leasi yeah John sasp Barella yeah John do we um we want to drink some sasp parella in the Afterparty oh we could I've never had one one I try one what you both never had one no I've had it oh oh I was just
