stopped going out for New Year's like a few years ago yeah cuz we got old we got old it's I like going out but the worst part about going out on New Eve is once it goes midnight and you have a few more drinks and it's time to go home it's impossible to get home yeah that's a [ __ ] nightmare yeah especially in Sydney the trains stop yeah the trains stop working you're not getting a taxi and you just standing you're waiting around for like four hours and it's just not fun yeah I do miss going out I remember I vaguely remember doing that that is something I used to do do you know what I miss and uh this is this predates any of this Co stuff I miss pubs y you know what they don't have

here pubs yeah yeah like you have bars right yep well you got to go sit at a table and get you know like it's it's it's hard to explain I guess it's just not like pubs like yeah everywhere over there you got like this dinner and you got you're being served whereas he your Pub where you just got to sit at the bar and they just bring your drinks yeah or like well the other thing they do here is that everybody does literally sit at the bar in the [ __ ] way like they don't do that in you know like in in if you go to a pub Australia the bar the order area is clear yeah you go in you order your drink and you get out the way yeah here everybody just or there is a place where you can sit but that that's sort of down the other end right here You' got to stand behind the people who

are sat at the bar it's like it's very odd like well I mean it's odd to me I'm sure for people here it's they get confused in Sydney when they pull up a stool in the middle of the [ __ ] surface area and get but yeah no but yeah I've I've been to a pub in a while see I don't know if I'm allowed to go I haven't been to a pub since I was in England so that might be the last time I was in a pub as well I'd like to go to England again so would I America sort this [ __ ] out oh actually what I what am I saying America and Britain come on guys both you well I think I will get to go to Japan in probably about June July yeah have pubs

in Japan not really I bet they're [ __ ] extreme whatever they are they do have the Robot Restaurant which is awesome I got very drunk at that place I there also where I experienced an earthquake right we had an earthquake here I don't know if I told you that yet we had an earthquake it was uh terrifying I've never experienced an earthquake especially because you're not in an area that gets earthquake so it's not something you were expecting it I mean it didn't go for very long but uh it's there was just I I thought I think I did mention it I thought my boiler was exploding yeah yeah it would be terrifying especially yeah I remember I was in Japan I was in a robot restant everything shook everyone looked around and then the people serving just

continued to bring out drinks I went well must be fine then business as usual yeah well I everything started shaking and I panicked and ran around the house trying to figure out what was exploding turns out it was the Earth Yep the Earth just trying to get rid of us all exactly so how was your Christmas um I was okay I got called in I did a little bit of work and then I sat at home by myself played video games I assume pretty much I've been doing went up to Brisbane with her family yeah I couldn't I I was on call for work so I couldn't go anywhere yeah and so I just stayed here oh well I did some video games as well over the uh over the week you did I did you play some cyber punk I did I have been

playing cyber Punk mate I know that you've finished the main story and I've seen complaints not complaints it's very short what I saying I've seen a lot of complaints about cyber Punk let's be honest in the last week uh yeah that it's short being one of them and I've not found that but then that's because it takes me [ __ ] forever to yeah honestly I think there's if you play just the main story yeah I'm not doing that yeah there's less than 10 Miss really huh like it or that's what it felt like like I went and did everything else on the map before the main story cleared the map and then did the main story oh i' done like a few missions yeah and then I think and then I went oh look I'll play one more main mission then I'll just go around do

everything and I got uh this is a like a no point of no return and it was very early on like very early that's so weird because I feel like I've been playing it for [ __ ] ages like if it if it said that now I'd be like fair enough yeah but yeah you are doing you're not doing the main story you're doing all the little side quests I mean I am doing the main story as well that's that's yeah I'm interspersing it all I guess I was going to ask because the way you play right so I found I'm not having any of these issues that a lot of people apparently are having which is nice for me most of them are on if you're playing on like PlayStation 4 or Xbox one yeah yeah so I'm having a great time and I find that I just kind of wander around the city uh and I guess like live in it

a little bit like I I don't know I'm just I'm just really liking the world I wander around I listen to what people were talking about and I I did not use fast travel at all in this game like I drove everywhere or I was going to ask did you just blast through it no no no I yeah I did not use fast travel I drove everywhere cuz it was I don't know it was enjoyable it was like Watch Dogs where I just fast traveled or Assassin's Creed where I just yeah like I'm over let's just go it was a it's actually stuff going real yeah yeah exactly yeah and the way the city's laid out and like you know like everything there's all street names and like the way you just overhear conversations and yeah it feels like a real City you know it's such a shame all the crap that's going on yeah honestly

all they had to do was a couple years ago say it's not coming out on PlayStation 4 Xbox one taking a hit there and it would have been fine if these are the bugs that we had like with they with what came out on the what's on the series X and the new PlayStation PC everyone would gone yep it's an open world game it is what it is yeah but because they still released an unplayable version that's where all the trouble has come from well they're in trouble now they um city project Reds investors are suing or they I mean putting together a lawsuit uh well they were lied to yeah yeah it's pretty shitty they I mean this is like we're talking like the suits at city project ra from the sounds of it just keep telling people no no no it's all good

just some minor bugs and even when they were outright asked about like the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 they went no it's fine yeah yeah it's fine no it's playable it's it's good it's going to ship I think yeah it wasn't playable the the story that floated was that there was a basically there was a meeting where the there was like you've got the development team on one side the investors on the other and then I guess the money folks in the middle and the money folks told the investors no no no it's all good just a few bugs and the investors said well release it then and then the money people went back to the developers and said the investors have said we've got to release it and then that's how they got into this mess yeah yeah see yeah all they had to do was sh

not release on the old like they still had released like the new update for they said it was going to be on those consoles so I can understand like yeah I can understand why but if they had have just taken a hit and I'm talking a couple years ago a couple of years ago they would have known that this was not going to work and it's worse because I feel like like this was them trying to do the right thing in a way the the developers at least I don't know what the [ __ ] going on with the management but the developers at least trying to do the right thing we said it was going to launch on these consoles we'll get it working on these consoles and it's really bitten them in the ass yeah look if you were one of the people who's got to play on the series X or

it's a PlayStation 5 isn't it that's the new one yes I keep forgetting if you got the plan on that you could saw some bugs but it was a enjoyable game you you were able to play it so I don't I didn't get to experience what everyone else did playing on the older console wait a minute yeah we could if we wanted to oh God we could I just realized oh yeah I still have my Xbox One we could we could I crack it out for next week I'm going to have a look at it and see what yeah next week I forgot about that oh that's cuz I've enjoying the game but it's also a bit dodgy about what they did with like giving out review copies it was uh we've only got the PC copies for you to review because like they knew there was a problem of course they did yeah they did

and yeah people are going to be sued and fired but yeah I'm happy I think the developers are still going to get their bonuses yes I saw that because even after the refunds and everything they've still sold over 13 million copies okay which is a lot that's quite a lot of copies yeah if I sold 13 million for something I'd be I'd be happy with that yeah even if you just sold it for a dollar exactly exactly and we mentioned I think last week I mentioned there was a a bug a save bug they fixed it yes so upgrade update to the latest version of cyber Punk 277 they fixed that save bug as far as I'm aware that's the only bug that was a really real real Mega problem yeah that was yeah if you game breaking bug

that was there yeah I think was that was one if your save got over 8 megabytes or something and it normally happened if you were like crafting a lot of stuff y yeah and then once it got corrupted that's it's [ __ ] dead so go and find an old hopefully you made extra saves so but it's fixed now the safe file is going to be bigger than eight Meg I still need to go back and finish I still need to go and finish it another three times which is really annoying well I've realized I my plan for this is I'm going to fin I'm going to play through it I'm going to finish as much as I feel like this time I don't know if I'll do all of the map um it it gets a bit much W the end yeah I don't know if I'll do that I don't want to wear myself out on it I will finish the main story line and then

I might wait for the next gen update although yep I wonder when that's going to happen now well yeah are they going to spend all of their time trying to make it work on the old consoles or are they going to go and just do I really really want DLC and stuff for this and I hate that I'm saying that I would I mean I'd also take just the content when they release the game thanks that would be great as well I do want more content uh whether it's DLC you haven't even finished it and you already know you want because I love it it's so good uh and I want to know more I want I want to follow up on some of the characters too I don't want to talk spoilers cuz it's early on that's that's one of the things I don't like about the ending the fact

that there are different endings oh it's sort of hard to continue on that story if the cuz the just ways you can go with the endings like there's multiple endings so it's sort like a just you pick up and go again so right I don't know if maybe DLCs be you're going to play a different character or oh all right because there's there's there all completely speculation I have no idea because they the show the show the game has really great characters I think uh there are characters in there that I really really got attached to and they I'm not going to spoil anything but once you complete you know the plot line for a character some of them you know pop off to to get on with their lives and I was like and some of them you have sex

with that's right and I was like a I'm not going to see that person again but you kind of do you know because you can still call people and you get like text updates from stuff so it's actually quite nice in that sense yeah but I would still like you know I know it' be nice to get some more tell you what Keanu was great in it though I thought so too I read a lot of reviews that said he was a bit [ __ ] uh I disagree I thought he was fine yeah I I liked him in it they said that he you know with when put in a in a video game with actual voice actors his acting ability was not up to scratch and I didn't I didn't find that as such maybe it's just because I'm used to Keanu Reeves yeah it's just it's Keanu who exactly G was cool

yeah people are the wor agreed but no it's going to be interesting to see what happens with the DLC with this yeah yeah I I want it but but we're probably a while up that's my concern yeah yeah so I I want to make it for the next gen patch for the next play through hopefully that doesn't get held up too much with all the [ __ ] that's going on hopefully I wonder how far doesn't happen and they don't get [ __ ] they don't go bankrupt or something [ __ ] horrible well I was worried about that but I don't think that's going to be trouble I don't think it's going to do as well as they thought now but they still sold a hell of a lot of games it's too big to fail I don't think that all that all say I I don't think they're going to get the same investors

for their next game yeah it sucks I think that they're going to have to go and rebuild that trust again yeah cuz you've got to remember like Witcher the first Witcher while it was a good game that was buggy as [ __ ] wasn't really that yeah and it wasn't that that bigger game like it was it was really Witch of three that really got oh my God SI project rated great mhm and I enjoyed witch two was all right I enjoyed it but it wasn't like one BL Witcher three was the the the money shot yeah and so this is their next thing which is it's going to be bigger than a Witcher 3 and now it's going to go well now we're going to go back down maybe we'll come back in a Witcher 2 level and work our way back up again yeah just do some GW but yeah if you remember like Witcher what the first

Witcher mhm oh I know that was not the greatest game it was [ __ ] unplayable when it came out but it was great yeah enhanced Edition is better but it's still clunky like it's great it's a really great game uh I mean I don't know I don't know that I'd recommend anybody try and play it these days I don't know a lot of people who actually finished it I never finished it I have I know what happens I've seen I've watched playthroughs of it because I got to it's one of those games where it it doesn't have a good Journal system so I got to like act five or something stopped playing came back to it a couple months later and I was like the what the hell am I going on yeah I need to battle this monster but I need to have my oils ready and I don't remember anything who the

fck is this K like yeah yeah it was not kind you had to play that game and that was your life or you do what we did and played it for a little bit went away and then came back and went I don't remember yeah what was the first game that introduced the journal system cuz games were like that before that's a that's an old school way of having a game is someone I guess final maybe a final fantasy cuz it used to be you talk to somebody and they'd say you've got to go here and do this and if you don't remember that they said that you're [ __ ] that used to they've actually brought that back in Assassin's Creed Valla oh sure so when you do like the little the side quest there's no side quest like you know from

the other games where you rock up someone gives you this Quest and it's trackable in this one you go up there's places on the map where you so you know there's a side quest happening here you have to go and talk to someone and they'll tell you what's happening and then you just have to work it out yeah right like they'll say like my kid's lost and they're over in the they went out to the East and you have to walk to the east to find them there's nothing to say here they are or anything like that and it was actually interesting and it was also the way they did it was good because everything was like localized it wasn't like you'd have to travel an hour away or across the map you'd be sort of within good 10 minutes of where you are you'll be able to work out what's

happening and complete the mission guess maybe I'm going to end up trying out that game at some point I did I mind it it's Odyssey Odyssey is a better game okay all right well I still got plenty of that to but I still like though yeah but hly was the first ever Assassin's Creed game that I ever 100% in until I released a DLC and I never went back I wonder how cyber Punk will run on KFC's new console I heard about this so they announced it and everyone thought oh KFC you're being silly again and then they came out with no it's real yeah it's called the KF console uh KFC gaming apparently is a Twitter account that KFC has this is a it's I mean it's PC it's not really a console but I mean what's the [ __ ]

difference these days it's a PC in the shape of I mean it's it looks like a a a black and red chicken bucket and it's got aien chicken warmer in it you put your chicken in it to keep it warm while you're playing this is so [ __ ] weird it is I'm just picturing it though they call it a chicken chamber it's got a chicken chamber a compartment in which chicken can be placed to warm while you play the F what happens when you put it in play forget about it yeah and then remember a we later throw the console out cuz it stinks this is so [ __ ] weird it's said to be worth about $11,000 is it are they selling it or is it just going to be a no SL on the

gameplay front said to offer support for 240 H out Hertz output on 4K displays it's pretty [ __ ] impressive with a top end ninth gen Intel mobile chip inside no the CPU is said to be worth about $1,000 according to this oh God an assus RTX supported hot swap able mini GPU 2 C8 nvme 1 TB ssds it is VR ready and boasts R tracing no price or release date has been set but there are picks in a little video of it it looks like they've partnered with Cooler Master like just I don't know just if you're going to sell it just tell us down it's just so strange who's going to buy this oh people will I mean I don't know anyone

I do what a new computer do you know what I bought and I forgot about just on while we're talking about consoles I got an email in uh I I guess probably November October or November telling me that my Atari VCS that I apparently pre-ordered will not ship until January sometime you know the new Atari console oh yeah I think I got drunk I think I got drunk and pre-ordered one at some point weren't cheap I cuz I I was like I didn't buy one of those but then I checked my email I [ __ ] did I just don't remember it cuz I saw I saw it I went oh that would be nice then I saw the price i' have gone no cuz it's it's a it's a lot more expensive than I think it should be for what it is har VCS

in yeah I ordered a Atari VCS 800 black walnut Allin bundle and an extra classic joystick yeah cuz I remember it's like I don't remember looked now it's $400 yeah well when it gets in I'll let you know how it is so that was a pleasant surprise actually cuz I was like I was like ah I don't I think that's a mistake and then I checked and I'm like no I I did order that I just don't remember that I you order yeah like no no no I I did and I checked and yeah I paid for it so yep fair enough um I I could just probably get my my Atari out that's just there and I could just do that that' be a lot cheaper well it's this is supposed to this plays

Modern games as well right no the Atari VCS yeah yeah it does I don't I don't think it does it does it's a it's a modern game console it's no no no it is I promise it plays old stuff but it's also supposed to be like a new console the only the only thing you want to play on it is Pall that's probably true yeah like that's the only Atari game that I still remember to this day is Pitfall it's got a PC you can put Windows on it and run Windows games on it so it's it's like a basically a PC it's got an AMD ryzen processor featuring radon Graphics can handle it all including 4K HDR video streaming I mean h 4K HDR video my Apple TV can do that so that's I would it's not no huge brag Atari but uh you can

install any it comes with Windows yeah it doesn't come with anything use it as a [ __ ] development machine yep anyway well I don't know what I'm going to do with it I don't know why I bought it but it's a really nice present to yourself that you forgot about it honestly I swear to God I got the email and I was like what and then I was really happy about it cuz a I've already paid for it it's it literally was like a Christmas present that I bought myself and forgot about but it's not shipping to next next year now so it was early next year wasn't it yeah it said January I think in the last email I think because because of the yeah Co [ __ ] so yeah so I'll let you know how that is when it gets here if it gets

here did you get a PS5 yet uh no no and I don't plan on getting one also they're still impossible to buy here you can get uh you can get a cat food PS5 I think and you can it looks like you can also get a picture of a PS5 is that is that the case h people are still falling for that that's an old trick yeah the old eBay the account the old Ebay listing that says photo of and then yes and then they sort of have all the information about like the actual thing and then they should be a photo I can't believe they could still something that can happen on eBay this in this day and age oh people just they get silly like people are still spending $1,500 to buy these consoles when it's s

well I the first one the first one I got I did put in a bit of effort the second one was just luck just right time just yeah cuz there are Twitter accounts that that that kind of monitor when they come in in and out of stock on various retailers yeah I just got lucky I went to walmart.com at exactly the right time whereas yeah like the first one I got was it was I woke up and I was online with a couple of websites getting ready to order yeah I had tabs going I had five or six tabs going and then my second one ex Microsoft just went here have an Xbox and I went thank you well I didn't get that treatment I also got a trophy I love my trophy I got some achievements this week I know you've seen them I know you've seen them I haven't actually you probably know more about them than I

do go check for you if you want I got some jackbox related achievements oh okay and I got and cuz that's a you know do you know we should do that again playing jackx over yeah from that works great yeah playing it remotely that works really well um we've been doing that with with relatives and stuff as well it's been good and I got a bunch of cyber Punk ones yeah aka the only other game I play now yeah yeah you play cyber Punk a little bit of jackbox and then before that was December 8th you playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey no surprises there and before that on November 27th you're playing forter Horizon 4 that's true that's true I was I was demoing my consoles

capabilities cuz that game got a nextg update yes I like that game it's a fun game oh yeah I like the Horizon games actually yeah I like them like they're a bit more arcadey so it's easier for people get into like it's not just a straight racing Sim which MH they can get a bit boring yeah but Horizon you driv it's like an open world racing game I mean it is and it was really cool well was really cool because when you're playing that like cuz it's set in the UK I remember you go to Scot you go to Edinburgh Scotland yeah Edinburgh and I'm s like I've walked down that street this is Edinburgh yeah it's not bad it's tough when they do that in games because they have to there's a there's a always

a I guess a a trade-off between accuracy and actually making it fun cuz there are some games that that perfectly model actual cities and stuff and that means the map sucks for for game well I remember playing Watch Dog Legion I was looking forward to that cuz they've recreated London but then I just fast traveled everywhere and it wasn't as exciting as I was hoping well that's how people get around London anyway mate they fast travel on the tube yeah but I just fast travel and then go to the mission and fast travel like there was no I remember walking down here and no yeah not at all that was a that was I did not like that game quite sad about that really I wanted to

I didn't I didn't worry about it I knew cyber Punk was coming out so I didn't worry about it did you watch Wonder Woman yet I haven't I'm going to go see it when Hannah gets back from Queensland okay I've heard terrible things about it I had I heard nice things about it and then it came out and and then I started to hear terrible things about it it seems like it's quite divisive I saw an article that stated it was almost like uh The Last Jedi in that sense in that people like really really like it or really really dislike it seems like nobody's like eh I've seen some reviews but it's a sort of talking like each scene was put together by a committee but that committee didn't talk to anyone else and they just did their own thing and

H yeah I was talking about it today on safe file with Aon cuz she's seen it and she's saying like it is really bad really but but she's a girl is she's a girl she's supposed to like it it's done well at the box office it's done well at the box office and they've already announced Wonder Woman 3 I know now that's they tracked it apparently now did it has it done well or is it just the fact that there hasn't been any other movies and everyone wanted to see a blockbuster yeah that's fair this is the only thing they can do well the first one I mean I didn't like the first one but I didn't mind the first one did Aaron like the first one yeah yeah okay all right so this is not just I I'm not I wouldn't be surprised if I didn't like this one I didn't like the first one or

any of the other you know DC movies B somebody who liked the first one didn't like it fair enough yeah I from from what I've been saying at this one I thought this might be it this finally might be a nail in the coffin they're going to stop the DC Universe and start again in yeah but then they they fast tracked three because it did well but yeah is it is it just I honestly think it's just people wanted to go to the movies yeah it could be well they're not going to the movies to see it here I tell you that they're watching it at home um because I don't know that that's right could you get on HBO Max that's right yep here no there's no HBO Max and go to the movies you have to get into movies but I mean you won't die if you

do so no no yeah that it's actually quite good go to the movies at the moment is because you don't have to sit next to anyone it's great yeah you have to book your tickets online they put a little exclusion Zone around you where I live you don't have to sit next to anybody anyway most of the time so unless it's like but literally premere night of something like a Marvel movie in which case you might have to sit next to somebody but not always well for those ones I just tend to go through the gold class o l do which has a limited seating and then I don't have to sit next to anyone that I don't know and they'll bring you duck pancakes while you eat ah those bring me lots of alcohol I miss [Laughter] drinking all right so we haven't seen it

and I mean honestly I'm probably not going to for a while so listeners I wouldn't I wouldn't if you want us to review it I wouldn't hold your breath oh I will review it next week all right fine but [Laughter] subscrition it's part of the subscription that's my understanding is that you pay for you just get it I wasn't sure if they were going to do it sort of like a pay-per-view as well I don't I canell my HBO Max after I finished Lovecraft country so I don't know but I mean I'll I guess I could pretty easily find out by just looking Dune may not be on HBO Max after all now and apparently some of the other movies they announced are in question

because uh you know legendary pictures we I think we mentioned this when we announced when we announced when they announced uh they're not happy about it legendary pictures and villing youve we're not happy and so apparently now it might not happen I think for Dune the best thing it can do was release on streaming services they disagree they yeah but they going to come back around if they do releas they're going to come back and go luk what right that's a movie that's not going to do great at the box office look I mean this is just rumors and all we know is rumors have the solution to that breach being to preserve Dune as a traditional theatrical to preserve its franchise potential and since its October 1 release date Falls well after the estimated late spring date when

covid vaccines should achieve her immunity oh October 1st there you go I did not realize that was when they were planning us to be immune so yeah I just I don't know I just think this was a good out for them Dune people like you you're going to go watch it you're going to love it weren't forced to make this movie Luke they think it's going to be good they think it is it's not going to be I'm just telling you that they don't they don't see it as an out they think this movie is good I know but they're going to be they're going to realize that they've made a terrible mistake come October 2nd that might be true when everyone goes sees it day one and then no one's there the next day you are putting a [ __ ] death spell on this movie Luke can't

believe it I'm I'm I'm sorry I just I don't get I don't get dun I don't I've tried to read that book so many times this is a movie not a book so have you not seen David Lynch's fantastic adaptation I know but I'm joking it's not a great movie no it's not a great M that's I'm joking [ __ ] it I I look at this cuz Blade Runner mhm yeah I know I know 2049 did not do well yeah a everyone who wanted to see it went and saw it but then it didn't have the life and I think dune's going to be the same you going have a lot of people go see it the first couple of days and then that going to die off I did what I could for Blade Brown 249 I saw it three times at the movies did what I could didn't help y I

mean this is the exactly the same thing that's going to happen mhm all right well we it's not the it's not the big Blockbuster like the Marvel movies and the DC movies where people who don't really care about it still go because it's say it's a movie we'll go yeah dune's very you got a particular audience that's going to go nerds yes and and not normal not the general nerds we have today we're talking nerd nerds not the cool nerds old school nerds the Nerds that used to be nerds before nerds became cool exactly the Nerds from Revenge of the Nerds no they're a little too rapy they're remaking that movie did you know and I wonder if I wonder if they're going to tweak that ending I don't wonder I'm joking of course they're going to

[ __ ] change the ending they have to change the entire thing like the whole panty raids and sell like setting up cameras to yep watch the girls naked and then sell their photos yeah I have a feeling it'll be a different movie yeah it's going to be very very different apparently I don't uh I don't know you know what [ __ ] it I think Seth Rogan's got something to do with it I might be making that up don't have it in front of me I know I know Seth Rogan does want to make the last star fighter oh yeah and I think they should let that's a movie they should remake and reboot that would be great today you say let I think he could do a control I like the way you say let him do it like it's that simple what you mean is give him millions of dollars to do it well no uh the there's a guy who

owns the rights to it and he's no I don't want this to be remade oh so he's actually stopping it from being is it that lizard face from the movie yes that's him yeah he was always a prick but I don't know that to me that's a movie that I think could do well with a reboot yeah it a good movie like and it makes more sense with video games that we have today compared to that arcade machine he was playing remember they used to have you know in um at the PowerHouse Museum where they have the the the spaceship the the shuttle shuttle yeah or the space station been it's been like two decades since I've been to the PowerHouse Museum they used to last time I went there they had the Star Wars exhibit they had well they maybe they still have it they have like

a setup of like I think it's a space shuttle and it's got the beds that the astronauts sleep in or and um on the TV little TV in there was the last star fighter I remember that from when I was a kid I was lying in a space bed watching lastar photo although more recently when I went there they have them perspects perspects over them so you can't get in there so maybe you have a false memory of actually being in there cuz maybe you couldn't get in there when I was little and I've made that bit up but it was still playing the last star fighter yeah I believe that actually I might go watch that again I have not seen that in such a long time yeah I haven't either too bad if it sucks wonder if it's as good as I remember I bet it's not I used to love this movie I bet it's not

well next week I'm going to review Wonder Woman and the last star fighter it's all happening I watched the movie except for the last what did you watch I watched Soul the new Disney Pixar movie it's oh I saw that sell on Disney plus now is it how is it what is it what is it really good it's really good I liked it a lot felt very um very attacked by it to be honest it's about uh a guy who he's a music teacher and he's always wanted to be a famous jazz musician well he's always wanted to be a jazz musician I think oh it's that type of Soul right no no no no it isn't Soul music no no no it isn't it isn't cuz he uh it's not really a spoiler it's kind of the plot of the whole [ __ ]

movie sorry skip ahead if you don't want to hear spoilers for Disney's soul that I might accidentally give if it happens in the first 30 minutes of the movie It's not really a spoiler right cuz it's kind of just the plot okay I'm not the best person to ask because I don't care about spoilers I I didn't see any trailers for this so I don't know what they revealed all right so he he finally gets a shot in he gets a gig with a famous jazz saxophonist but then he dies and his soul is on its way to the afterlife but he he through circumstance aners Goofs around and ends up uh escaping and trying to get back to his body and uh

with the help of another Soul that's like an unnumbered it's a numbered Soul because it hasn't been born yet it's a it's a pre-born soul okay it's got Tina Fay I like her she's soul I think 23 Soul 23 um TR resar did the music yeah he sure did yeah uh it's really good and I it's a it's about how basically the the it's about what what really is important at in life at the end of the day is kind of one of the biges is and Xboxes and achievements yeah yeah so this guy learns about himself and you know what's the point of life and does he need really need to be as worried about whether he's a famous jazz musician or does he just you know should he maybe just enjoy most cases that we've jazz music musicians they normally

would become famous after they die well that might be true that's that something I've made up in my head you might I think comedians too right that's this plot of paully Shaw Must Die My Favorite poly sha movie where I I'm Jimi him in a dream and tells him that if he dies he'll become a famous comedian everyone will say he was a genius so he faked his own death [ __ ] great movie I might watch it because I still have Disney plus and I'm not going to get rid of it now because there's stuff coming out next month that I want to watch no honestly it's really good I recommend it it it does I I felt like it was a bit weak in the second half or like the third act brings it home in the third act no well well not 100% it is very good very

thought-provoking I liked it I felt like it didn't wrap up as as well as I was hoping not I was hoping I don't know it's just kind of like oh okay at the end like I don't know it just dropped off a bit I felt like after the first half there's a there's a lot that's coming out on television movies this week it's sort of a bit crazy we've sort of gone from nothing to a lot like even this week we've got the third season of Cobra Kai oh yeah haven't watched any of that I've the first two seasons are quite good I enjoyed them yeah um the other thing coming out on this week is um the watch what's that it's a Terry pretet oh watch there you go that yeah it's just we've gone from nothing to lots of great

stuff and I'm going to go out and watch the last star fighter instead H former geek of the week Terry pratchet mhm he he does make it even though he did take himself out we don't know that Luke the official statement is that he died he just died stop asking questions he just died wink yep yep no he he did do that that documentary about yep the right to stuff and yep and he wasn't himself at the end which is quite sad look he left plenty of Clues but like I said the official statement is that he

died he died that's it moving on that's right just enjoy his book look he is he was geek of the week let's leave it at that yeah and what this means list is that Luke is willing to break and bend the rules for people he likes like Terry pratchet yes if it suits my narrative yeah as long as the official story is something that Luke can say can point to and say now look natural causes yep I have been watching a TV show as well and it is not a TV show I imagine people were expecting I would watch what is it it's Elementary is that the sort of modern day take on Sherlock where he's yep and he's a recovering drug addict or something yes it's the one with Johnny Lee Miller and um [ __ ] what's her

name I can't remember her name from Lucy yeah Lucy Lou Lucy Lou y had don't watch that I've caught a few episodes it wasn't bad it's really good in fact I put it to you that it's really good it's a good show to I like those procedural shows because you don't really have to pay attention to them all because the reason I watch the same formula the reason I watched it is because I watched a YouTube video about how Sherlock you know the the Sherlock the Benedict Cumberbatch one is actually a very bad detective show because in it Sherlock Holmes never does any detective work he tells you that he did detective but he never does any there's literally one point in the in the whole show I mean I shouldn't

shouldn't be so melodramatic not literally but in the first episode there's a bit where there's a woman in pink who's dead and he does a bit of detective work and you kind of get to know why how he figured things out but not really he still does a lot of stuff off camera and then just tells you that he figured it out but then for the rest of the show most of the time he never does any deductive work or detective work in front of you on the show he just tells you that he figured it out and then they kind of skip to just all the Acy stuff ah and I hadn't really thought about that because I do like the show not saying it's a bad show still a good show but absolutely right he doesn't do a lot of detective work in it it's sort of great when you come

across a show like this that's been going for so long cuz you have a lot of seasons to get through yeah we've got eight seasons I think of Elementary right for for eight years and in this he does do a bunch of detective work it's actually really well written so far it's still silly because it's a TV show yeah but yeah but he actually does figure stuff out and and and explain how he did it not just say oh I figured that out don't worry about it yeah yeah you actually see him working it out and not just I did all of this when you weren't watching yeah I know that that's uh you know uh [ __ ] I'm trying to give an example well in the pilot he finds a a a dead body because there's a Panic Room in the house and he knows there's a Panic Room

in the house because there's a the the floor isn't level because the Panic Room is metal and it pushes down the foundations so he walks around a bit and then he puts a marble on the floor and the marble rolls towards the wall and he says there's a Panic Room there and the police are like what so stuff like that stuff that doesn't happen in the other show cuz in the other show they would have just cut to him the Panic Room and he says I found the Panic Room and then that's it well what mean um H we started watching Bones oh yeah a while ago and that's starring Angel fine show starring Angel and Zoe Des Chanel's sister is that Zoe Des Chanel's sister yeah there you go I know who she I know what the girl looks like I didn't know that was his sister yeah if you actually put her

in bangs it's they look very similar but I'll find out and I'll put her in bangs and I'll let you know how I go we just started watching it and there's like 12 Seasons so it's great but I'm starting to panic a little because I'm running out of shows I mean there are lot of shows there's a lot of shows but not a lot of good shows well I'd recommend Elementary Hannah already watched it Hannah's already watched it um I've got bones but yeah there's nothing else that I can really think of that's got like Seasons behind it yeah yeah H normally if you find something now you'll go through you'll watch it all in a couple of weeks and you're done whereas if you find something that's been going for8 to 12 Seasons you've got a couple of months in

there yes trying to think what else I can recommend to you you are you familiar with the X Files I doesn't I do want to watch that again but it doesn't it doesn't I tried cuz I did go back and I tried to watch the first season and I'm just oh God you can't act no it's just I mean I think if I I I maybe need to try and go back and maybe start from a few seasons in maybe I need to watch Millennium again that's what I need to watch I never got into that with my mate Lance in it yeah no I never no never that never did anything for me but maybe I'm older now maybe I'll understand it maybe you're older now maybe maybe I'm older maybe I'm not yeah I'm not sure I don't act older no I'm wearing my Hufflepuff pajamas I

confused by this I mean so he he's are they still going to him for Star Wars news yeah oh absolutely people still because he's he's he's kind of back in the game a little bit I think he got the shits a bit for a while but he's been he's been onset for Mandalorian I think he and favro and I mean he and filon definitely get along really well that's how the Clone I think he sort of started to come back in with like Rogue one yeah yeah well he's been hanging out on set because he's there photos of him with um what's it name baby Yoda yeah with baby Yoda and Ahsoka but what's what's I can't remember her name the actress oh I'm bad with this morning um she was in Clerks 2 exactly

she was in Daredevil Rosario Dawson that's the one with Rosario Dawson so he's been onet and stuff like that and I guess so people are asking him about things but the the the real reason I guess a lot of these quotes are floating around most recently is that the Star Wars archives 1999 to 2005 came out which is a book about the prequels so there's books about the original trilogy now there's one about the prequels and there's an interview well there's a bunch of interviews with Lucas in there that have been getting quotes in the media of late ah okay but one of them is about how the dialogue in the prequels um people have said that it's stilted and wooden and coarse and rough

and it gets everywhere but George Lucas says it's like sand exactly George says it's consistent with the other Star Wars films that is the style of Star Wars and he said most people don't understand the style of Star Wars they don't get that there's an underlying Motif that is very much like a 1930s western or Saturday M serial it's in the more Romantic Period of making movies and Adventure films and this film is even more of a melodrama than the others uh he's talking about attack of the Clones in particular so he's he's basically saying yeah it's intentional yeah but supposed to sound like that but why did you want it to sound crap because that's what the old ones sounded like but that's they the old ones don't sound like that well he he thinks they

do the the 1930s movies I mean look he might be right but like I'm I'm not comparing I'm comparing it to Star Wars an empire in the frequ do not sound like that I agree I agree in that yeah well for example the way he made Yoda talk that's not how Yoda talked in Empire or Return of the Jedi the way that Yodas became voice his mannerisms became a meme like where he always mixes up the the sentence structure that's not how he talked so you're right it's not consistent in that sense no and it all kind of falls apart when you look at it from that perspective I I just go back to the thing of he filmed his first script like episode one he sat down wrote went yep we're filming this they

filmed it even at the first screening where at the test screening where they were watching it it gets to the end and he goes he goes well it's long that was the best thing he could say about his movie after seeing it for the first time well it's long sure is and now you can't just come out and go no this is the style you don't understand it yeah well he has done that so he's got you there and he got paid 4 bill ion dollar for it so yeah y I mean I get it's still the yeah the dialogue in those old because here's the this is kind of like if I made a movie right and the dialogue was a bit shitty I could and I could just come and say oh it's like I did it intentionally it's supposed to sound like this uh TV show I lik when I was a kid oh what's the show oh you

wouldn't know it it's an old uh Saturday morning thing that probably doesn't exist anymore so uh but you just need to accept that I did it on purpose yep on purpose I tried to watch episode one a little while ago cuz I was going to sit down and watch all the movies I turned it off I did the same thing I couldn't do it I could not do it I turned it off I tried to watch everybody keeps talking about how Revenge of the Sith are you an angel is better oh God why attack of the Clones is worse because literally that scene with Anakin and Padme the sand scene it's yeah awful it's awful yeah I've just murdered this whole tribe out there but we should make out now it's all Obi-Wan's fault he's holding me

back there's only one line in those three moves that has any feeling and it's when Hayden chrisan says I hate you and he was looking past the camera directly at [Laughter] George now the I think you've forgotten the that line where is Padme no [Laughter] everybody talks about how Revenge of the Sith is like actually good I tried to watch it again it's not it's not it's just the best of three bad movies it's not good I remember being I remember being at the movies we went and saw it at the movies the premere we went to the premieres of all of them because we're [ __ ] suckers MH and I remember that the opening of Revenge of the Sith Dave giv me a thumbs up because it was like this is actually not complete garbage

but then the it's still not good then the story actually starts to happen again no but the beginning is is still not good now watching it again and I'm like this was just like it was just not as bad yeah it's still like it still doesn't the ships in it don't make sense look I don't think we like Star Wars I don't think we actually like Star Wars I like the Star Wars Legends I'm still struggling today with what Star Wars has become I like the Mandalorian because it's reminding me of the books yeah cuz it's not about all powerful Jedi just roaming around doing stuff wow I went on a ranch about this about on sa fall today as well I called Jedi the pandas of [Laughter] space the pandas of space because they're endangered yep and they won't

have sex yeah they would have sex oh fair enough and if you look all the most powerful Jedi that come out in all of these movies are for Cy people who have sex Jedi all dying out you think they encouraging it yeah yeah but not can't touch another can't have sex with anyone CU you might turn to the dark side oh why are we dying out as a species I don't know species but sure what you're saying is get out there and [ __ ] everybody pretty much that's what luk Luke's advice once once once you got the covid vaccine once you have the covid vaccine yeah yeah and you've got the microchip and the micro chip and we've cured all venial and and otherwise sexually transmitted diseases Dan get out there and go for it
