3.99 no I want to mention on episode 400 400 mhm so let's back up for a sec Let's uh let me just get this straight cuz we often report on things that are just our opinions editorial this podcast that later we find have happened and and we never really know what the causality is you know where that line is so what you're telling us Luke essentially is that we reported falsely last week on the death of an actress who then went and died [Laughter] [Music] [Applause]

and I might be wrong yeah I didn't read the full article no none of us did the thing yeah I was talking to Jen about this in the last week cuz like you know this happens a lot these days articles get posted and no one does any [ __ ] factchecking or something and it causes problems a lot of people die very quickly and you get people on Twitter going I'm I'm not dead yeah the the Jeff Goldblum incident but then I was saying oh yeah I mean we do that too though we report on all sorts of [ __ ] and then find out it wasn't true and then I realized well it doesn't really matter if it's us right cuz and then we're not news don't get your news from us yeah listeners just bear in mind we don't do a whole lot of factchecking this is a comedy show yeah

I mean we we're more accurate in our reporting in the news than say Fox News right yeah we try you can certainly trust us more than you can trust those guys but uh so what's been going on what has been going I think we've all been distracted by your country burning to the ground uh yeah yeah this has been a quiet news week well sorry it hasn't been it's been it's been a a quiet news week for the entertainment industry which is usually what we talk about no but I think this lull sort of happens around this time every year yeah yeah yeah yeah I think you're right I think you're right there's no I've been focused on getting achievements a lot this last week yeah in fact in on uh day a couple days ago I got more achievements in one day than you guys

have got in the last like year I mean that's not hard it's not tall order yeah I got an achievement the other day though I just got the you've completed the tutorial achievement on something but it counts ah think I know what it was yeah you do cuz I told you about it MH no I uh you know I said I said last week that I wasn't even going to attempt cyber Punk until I'd finished uh you lied Assassin's Creed Odyssey uh and then I realized that I might too I might be dead by the time I'm even close to finishing that uh because it's long and I'll be an old man I mean I'm not saying anything you know anything weird going on so what did you think turns out there is some news this week yeah that's right Dan will eventually die next week yeah

but I decided uh [ __ ] it I'm going to buy cyber Punk and in fact I convinced myself I was just buying it to have for and I wanted to play it I don't know why yeah here's $100 just take it I know it's a it's a$1 yeah like honestly cuz if you were going to wait for it you'd wait for it to be on sa I know and that exact thought crossed through my head as I was importing my credit card details so uh I clearly was deluding no one even myself but I really I really haven't played much of this I've literally just played through the tutorial and the and the first mission but it's great it's good I really like it it's a beautiful game it's absolutely beautiful I'm not hooked yet but I was thinking about it and I'm really hooked

this early in a game MH you I got to really let it sink its claws into you yeah I think you I haven't gone back to it yet but I do want to cuz I still got the like four more endings to get I um you know like we talked about how I got to that bit where it says it's the uh you know the point of no return but yeah it [ __ ] there's still so much [ __ ] going on like I was like oh I guess I'll I'll finish up some of these side quests and that and it's like I'm still going like there's like yeah it's there it's not that it's not long it's just that the path to the ending seems to be really direct if you want it to be yeah like you really need to try and stay away from the main story and go and experience the city yeah but even like

there's I don't want to give anything away I don't want to spoil anything but there's like like a whole Quest thing still going on that seems to me to be it's at least somewhat related to the main quest and I'm like far as I can tell nowhere near finishing it yet so it's just yeah I guess it just depends on what order you do things in and I've chosen an order that gets me that warning so now I'm SC I'm too scared to do it now I don't want to do the main quest cuz it's not point of no return well as far as I can tell and I don't want to spoil anything and I haven't looked anything up but as far as I can tell CU I've gone back and looked at the wording again it says that you can't do any side quests while you're doing it so I don't know

what that means or and whether I but I also don't want to lose it don't do it yeah okay don't no no you can do it after but don't like yeah do all the side quests and then go yeah all right yeah and I don't want to ruling it no I don't want to either that's why I'm not I looking not looking anything up I'm trying to be vague but that that's basically that's you've you've answered my question Luke yeah yeah thanks [ __ ] great game though and you're right it's beautiful and it's not even next gen yet on our consoles I still don't know when it will be though or if it will be I mean it practically is in that it doesn't run on any other consoles other than this J's console yeah I know yeah but yeah so I don't know how how not this gen it is I

found a hilarious bug somebody I again I don't want to spoil it but somebody who should not be in the city anymore is still in their apartment and it's it shocked me when I went there okay what what what are you doing here yeah it's just part of the plot this person left and I and it was like you know like a secondary character I suppose and and I went to the apartment and I was like the [ __ ] are you doing here no didn't address anything it's a bug could you interact with them or yeah yeah it's like it never happen happened there there was evidently one of people someone got a bug very early on in the game release and it was an escort mission where they had to take a character somewhere but then they got distracted and start doing something

else but this NPC character just started following them everywhere so they'd be off doing another mission on SE and then this NPC just rock up with them and go hey how's it going that's so funny and that was just their game I I never got anything fun like that I just got a good game yeah no no no it's it's such a complic game I'm sure little things like that that's the only main like that's the most ridiculous one I've seen it's just that I got went to check something out and I was like the [ __ ] are you doing here for me the biggest thing I had was just uh cars cars were not good at the start like I would walk out the street and just see a car flying across the road just spinning and spinning and spinning I'm going to let that go yeah just ignore it yep and I turn around and

then my cast a and I just I get into that and I go oh I have one further question and then we have to talk about cyber Punk uh too much longer but I have a question for you Luke because you finished the game did you max out your level because I'm pretty sure I did the only reason I ask is that that uh more quests unlock as you level up so because as I'm still going now I'm getting new quests that are I don't know if they're time based or what it is but they're like follow-ups to earlier quests and stuff like that uh I'm pretty sure I did because I've completed everything and I got the achievements for completing everything oh well that would indicate that you did then all right fine yeah that's right that's that's that was my

question so I want to make sure you didn't miss anything are you guys both playing as women Luke I know you are no yeah no no you're playing as a man yeah man I've got a question for you yes did you choose the circumcised or uncircumcised it's me Dan isn't it yeah I don't know if any man chooses the penis that's not the penis he has like you make everything else about the character so fantastic got face tattoos and [ __ ] cybernetic implants and I've got this red haircut and stuff but it's like well I want my own dick right but when it it pops out of the pants randomly because of a glitch Lenny krait Style I thought it was a pretty nice touch to have that in there

to do a British accent cuz there are certain words that I'm like I Know a Man from Colorado does not pronounce it like that you are trying to do a British accent is it one of those things though that you're just around people talking like that so much that some words just sort of slip in could be so it's not actually trying it's just that like I know when I was in in Scotland there was sometimes where I was talking to someone you were there for two weeks I was not making fun of you I would sleep whoops Daisy no I'm from Australia yeah no but just when you have like that one word that just slips out that just sounds like no I'm not making fun of you it's just I'm slowly picking

things up speaking of Scotland you ate some haggus when you were in Scotland didn't you I certainly did I don't mind it yeah I don't mind haggus I uh had an incident uh this past week uh related to the UK and uh and and things like haggus in particular I needed to I need to find out my blood type I have no idea what my blood type is so I was about to ask so you still haven't found out no I don't know I'm not sure how I'm going to figure that out now um because they they want to know it for for Jenna's doctor wants to know it so that they can tell if they have to do certain tests for the baby they're just going to do the tests at this point because I have come up I'll let you finish the story but I've come up with a theory of how you can get it done okay y well they told me the easiest way is to

go donate blood and I thought well that's a that's a nice thing to do I will I'll do that and then I'll find out the blood type and then the doctor can't do a blood test what kind of doctor is this I am not qualified for this the doctor can do a blood they can send me to the lab to get a blood test I've had blood tests done but unless it's for a medical necessity which apparently [ __ ] my wife having a baby is not my insurance won't cover it so it's going to cost me a [ __ ] fortune because it's America so cuz my doctor said I can organize ask your mom your mom will know what blood type you are it's got to be on an official document oh so actually I guess my mom maybe could organize one but anyway so I went to donate blood cuz

I figured that's easy fine so I get in there and I'm filling out the form and then all the questions yet no problem I'm tiing no no no no were you did you spend more than 6 months in the UK ha in the 80s and I was like yes I have to tick yes I've never had to tick yes on one of these forms before and so I said to the receptionist I'm like is this a problem and she said I don't know I'm just receptionist but uh I'll get someone to help you no one's qualified to do anything so I had to talk to to one of the staff members I guess I guess a screener I guess there who had to look it up you see cuz no one's ever ticked that box before in in Rhode Island in at the [ __ ] W mall and it turns out

because of mad cow disase right I might have I might slowly I slowest of madow disease ever 35 years on showing no symptoms y uh but because they don't have a test for it that doesn't involve ripping my head open and looking at the and dissecting my brain uh the FDA says no I'm allowed to donate blood so I still don't know what my blood type is and you also cannot do that in Australia you know the same thing well here's the thing I don't want to incriminate myself but I [ __ ] have done blood in Australia and and the only explanation you could have just not t that box right exactly but they mustn't have asked because there's no way I would have lied

cuz I'm not that desperate to donate blood like I'll do it I know how I know how you can go get your blood checked find out blood type you are for free need to go hang around the high school okay no I remember there's a lot of shows where high school students that used to be a science test where they would check to see what their blood say they the the blood type R all sex offenders is that's what I thought he was going to say I thought he was going to say that just [ __ ] some teens would bash you that's happened before it happened before was blood everywhere what type is it collect some of it seen I've seen it in American television show some movies where it's a like a high school science test and they just go gra some random

person off the street who happens to be nearby are there any middle-aged men around the high school find one and bring them to the science excuse me can we have some of your blood yeah doesn't matter what type and we don't care where you spent time in the80s was like well I was in Haiti getting a blood transfusion while sharing needles and I also have having unprotected sex yeah no yeah all sorts that's why I felt like I got to take a yes like am I going to get arrested so weird though that they didn't know that cuz it's what I see that you think like they would know very quickly if you answer yes to any of these it means you can't donate they may not know the exact reason behind it but you don't think they'd have to look that up that's their

job yeah like day one of training if anyone to S this side you send them home like I said this is this is you know what uh not the mall but like it's it's just a little blood donation center in Warwick it's not like the back of a high school when they do the blood testing it's it's uh so I guess they just it [ __ ] pathology Labs at high school do they are you thinking of are you thinking I think I think you can teste pretty easily I think I very simple test do with the way it's to do the way it clots and that kind of thing they can tell but it's just that that's not good enough for they need an official yeah can't you do that test in front of a doctor you know what I mean and being like I'm not asking you to do it just but look at the [ __ ] result here the

weirdest thing to me is that I had I've have had blood work I have blood work done every year like as part of the checkup here right I go and get my blood you think that would be something that they do as part of your normal but they said we don't do a of blood it's like do that it's not cover insurance it's written on there yeah no I mean I [ __ ] looked at the results they don't write it on there really that's what I'm saying they just and they said yeah it's a medical necessity for me so that she said I can Oran I can arrange the test but you will have to pay for it and I said how much is it going to be and she said she said I don't know your wife have said want to know if you're the real father but it's

not it's not essential that she knows yeah so yeah they don't want my blood because like I said I'm the I'm the most unique case of mad cow [ __ ] ever you may be patient zero for Mad Cow could be you know and you've been immune to it all the time they might they might want to harvest your blood to make antibodies that's true one day yeah that's the dream yeah so yeah trying to see if I can work out my blood type by looking at on on Google what are you where are you looking oh you've got you got mountains and mountains of paperwork I assume mountains and mountains of blood this blood everywhere well I mean went to how many people have looked inside just

assum you're going to be on my medicare records somewhere maybe it's on mine I should have looked that up where can you look at your own medical records L I wouldn't even know where to do that mikov you forget you forget Luke gets inspected once a week basically gets his yeah I I I get a lot of blood taken and a lot of drugs given to me yeah cuz he hangs around go to the doctor Excuse me while I log into my go and just see if it says my [ __ ] blood type there at the top I can enroll a newborn baby you can what I can enroll a new board does it have to be yours enroll it into donation preferences register for I got confused the other day I was trying to figure out what the citizen Citizenship status will be for my for my child and I be a American

wouldn't they they would be an American if they're born here they would also be an Australian I think and would be British also because and this is what I trying to figure out I was on the on the UK oh because of the whole Australia is bit picky with how many well that's why I was trying to figure out how I wanted to just see because I I'm going to have three uh once once I get here sorted out and I was just wondering you know what I say you can have three kids I was like [ __ ] got the whole three citizenships so I was looking it up and then on the UK website confused me because it said it said if you were if one one of your parents was a British citizen who was born in in Britain then you will be a British citizen but your

children will not and I was for some reason I just couldn't grasp like I was kept getting screwed up because I kept forgetting it's not talking about me it's talking about the kid and I was like what do you mean my children won't then how and I go back to the start and I was like reading it again I'm like this doesn't make any sense and then yeah I just I kept getting the point of view messed up but uh yes apparently she will it's like one of those those kind of brain teasers brothers and sisters I have none but this man's father is my Father's son then uh oh God now don't do that no that's broken my bright brain I'm still trying to work out if

know a there was a trailer for it the other day I I started to watch it and then I was like you know what I don't think I care so I didn't watch the trailer but uh but I do know that they've now kind of officially regrouped the Star Wars eras into a trailer for like merchandise that we're going to be selling you later it was just I don't know I honestly think they're starting to regret turning a lot of STS into Legends not all of it though I'm still a lot of the like what I liked as Mandalorian was the stuff that felt like the books like the new Republic and stuff like that and I wonder if they're maybe trying to go try and get bit more of that feel back in yeah oh I see the ear that was I know from the '90s I see

like that he put there and then like all embarrassed he can't hear out yeah y out this last weekend I decided I was going to try and sit down and watch the Star Wars movies again and I decided to skip decided to go with the prequels but I went look I'm going to skip the first two I start with revenge of the seist the best of the three movies and I couldn't do it I could not sit through that movie so I just went straight to Star Wars yeah and then went to Empire and then realized you can get cut the first 20 minutes of Empire and it makes no difference to the story you could yeah the start of that movie Luke gets caught by the wper but that's when he learns he needs to go find Yoda yeah but Ben could have rocked up at any time to tell him that yeah yeah

actually that's a fair point stood over him in his bed and go hey go over here yeah and then I but I did I managed to get up to uh the force awakens and that's still fun I still like that movie I really like the force awakens as well yeah I love it I don't know it's just the it's just something's always happening it's always moving forward no that one that one they did right they did that right they proved that they and then they proved flaws with it's I mean it's not perfect it's a perfect film but it's got the right feel and it's got like I don't know I guess it's just opinion but I I don't know it just feels like Star Wars and the rest of them don't although there is still that one part of movie that I just get very confused about where the the first order

blows up seven planets that are the center of the universe and everyone's okay with that I don't think they're okay with it yeah but the first order is and that's meant to be like government everything and they're just yeah that's cool just it seemed a bit weird that part but apart from that it's a great movie we talked about this you know one of the they show a planet being blown up during that sequence it's not corusant I know but is there any indication in the film that it's not corusant no it looks like it it looks like it it's like the it looks like the [ __ ] City we've seen a million times in the earlier movies that gets blown up and then people online are like it's not [ __ ] coron it's really obvious that it's it's not corus like it's not

obvious they say hosnian system like well maybe if Kant is in the hosan system like I also don't get what the Empire and the force and first order what their whole obsession is with let's just murder billions of people and then people but are we the baddies I know the death star's like like we'll just blow up a planet then they'll listen to us yeah and then also returning to Jedi we've built a second more powerful deatha why does it need to be more powerful it blows up one planet at a time it's still one gun you have it as powerful as you want it doesn't need to be powerful the orinal planet into other planets it's like a rail Death

Star I did see a funny meme the other day just to do with all the latest you know goings on and people saying stuff like it was it was a meme that was like uh Obi-Wan's voice in Star Wars saying Luke don't blow up the Death Star it will only further divide the Galaxy yeah in relation to latest goings on in the US made me laugh well the second more powerful Des side that all it ever did was blow up a couple of little ships yeah it had extra gun seems like a dowra it's got an extra gun to be next to a moon in order for its force field to be on yeah did have that little secret room uh next to Palpatine's throne room though that was cool we learned that in uh rise of Skywalker yeah spoilers whatever

$100 now but if you go to the Lego website you're getting it for Less the thing that made should go Malaysia no the thing that made me interesting Lego compatible crap the thing that made me interested was uh Ron Gilbert on his blog he's been putting together the Lego colum oh yeah uh so that was interesting as well like in general but then he was talking about how he's it comes in like a huge box and it's got little smaller boxes and you're supposed to put them together in order and at the end of it you end up with the Coliseum but there's a whole bunch of like busy work that you have to do as part of the build where you're building details that will never be seen once it's complete and he just how it's interesting that they they not only do

they like say how can we just build a [ __ ] Coliseum out of Lego but it's also like how do we make it fun and interesting to build this thing instead of just like slapping a bunch of bricks together so yeah there's like detailed work you do inside that is just not I'm glad to hear that actually because between when I was a kid Lego was pretty simplistic right like if you wanted to build something it was built out of tiny little Lego bricks did you have I'm I'm sure you did Dan the Robin Hood tree I had everything yeah yeah I had the every Robin Hood thing for sure [ __ ] love that tree but I by the time I was kind of getting out of Lego like I was you know 11 12 just starting to you know like bigger kids stuff um Lego had also started being a bit [ __ ] like it was

like I remember there was this Wizard's House that I wanted and it was like the two pieces were half a Wizard's House and the other half of the Wizard's House and you clip them together now your Lego's built so like I'm glad they're finally now going back yeah sort of come back around again there's rumors of a new Death Star set coming out that's going to so they've got some really like big sty sets and this one's going to be like 11,000 pieces [ __ ] hell that's the other problem is if I was to to get Lego where the [ __ ] am I going to put these things once I've built them I actually feel a bit shame uh sad that I can't play with Lego anymore mhm like I like to build it but then it's built and that's it and I've lost that ability to be able to go now I play with Lego yeah
