arms are tired from pushing myself in the wheelchair it's a very big workout the whole point of a wheelchair is you're supposed to get people to push you oh he did that he did that a lot then they look good because they're pushing a dude in a wheel chair and you get the sympathy points of like even my arms they can't push me Luke yelled at me because I pushed him too fast a I was getting the death wobbles it was very scary [ __ ] how fast did you push him I got in trouble several times for almost pushing him into people I have a apparently I'm not very good as a wheelchair Pusher and trouble a couple of times for actually pushing me into people I'm pretty sure handicapped people get right away yeah yeah that's the thing that's what I that was my too

but but if we're rolling up behind people they don't know I'm there to give me right away you should have used but it doesn't matter you can still just look at them after you've bumped into them and say excuse me and they'll be like I'm sorry I am so sorry yeah and that's why we recorded that song for you what song they see me rolling do you want to introduce yourself I mean we should introduce all of ourselves but like the rest of us are in the intro so people might know but you're not in the intro so do you want to explain Who You Are call me Terry I guess yeah Terry small Sho yeah even Terry small shoes in the intro that's right what the Terry's open a can of VB someone just cocked a pistol I just opened another drink

um comfy bed so I had a great time but I mean you do know what happened at PA because you were following along to our live tweeting instagramming and yeah the special Channel you know what I was just glued to [ __ ] 4 on um Snapchat and uh I must say [ __ ] nothing nothing yeah what happened there ly dropped the ball oh I forgot I was going to do something that was you were going to live SnapChat the event M and I stayed glued to [ __ ] 4 at Snapchat and Narry a snap was chatted it's not like Luke to say he's going to do something and then not do it is it it's not like he would do something like claim he's going to send out prizes to some listeners and then not send them or perhaps some science

cards they've all been sent now yeah now have my science cards been sent no no we didn't even get any that's a very good point I just realized that is true we got mugs and I think uh I think somebody else somebody else somebody else got a mug yeah finally and how how were they with their mug was it everything they hoped it would be or did you give them a mug with one less person on it they were really hoping they would be we didn't we didn't mention it at all right we didn't mention and then all of a sudden like we like they gone and we back in the hotel and everything and then I got this Snapchat video going I haven't opened this box yet but my face a bit being on this [ __ ] mug and you just send him a text back going

say don't open the box yeah don't do not open the box yeah probably best if you don't open the box so we had a lovely time at packs um we I mean we probably maybe share some of the favorite moments but is there some anything in particular Luke that you found to be your favorite thing at packs this year o this is a tough one probably should have anticipated it but I know what it is what is it the medal I won a medal what did you win a medal for for playing a game called Rhino hero I spent three days trying to win a medal now I hear that you were begging for a medal that you asked for one for being the most consistent loser yes I

did um and I think if I didn't win that last one he would have just given it to me anyway yeah I think as a general R if uh if there's a person in a wheelchair um and they're begging for something especially if they're doing really badly in the competition they usually do get a medal D you would think that but there is a game company that seems to hate handicapped people go on Bethesda because Luke tried to play the [ __ ] card and it did not work oh Bethesda didn't bow to the [ __ ] so you were trying to play you were trying to play Fallout 4 no all I want was a pin right that was it boy pin yep no not even that it was a little button pin it a badge like not even that

no one else wanted them and they were for sale up in the wheelchair I go look I've got a pit boy tattoo and then I go Ed are getting a pin theyve gone well you can line up and I've gone i' already seen the video I don't really want to line up and see that again and he's well we're running out of these but it's the same thing you showed at EB yep perhaps you haven't noticed sir that my friend is handicapped what I don't see handicapped that's fine we've got a ramp we just don't have any pins so yeah thetha not a fan so Fallout 4 thumbs down yeah come on let's let's not alienate Bethesda now of all times no I know I know let's wait until after they reject our request for for free

game to review yeah yeah yeah all right so you want to medal um you also lost uh in an amusing manner a Halo tournament and if the listeners are interested you can go on YouTube and uh and check out that video oh really there's a video of Luke losing at Halo oh that on there now oh God he didn't necessarily lose he didn't get the chance really yeah 40 seconds to go I was R down you were down by was it 12 12 kill there's a number of kills let's say 12ish you felt you felt you could you could make a comeback I think I could the ref the ref did not the server crashed the game was over declared finished and they declared the winner triumphant and they said is everyone all right with that and Luke said no I was just about to make my comeback

and they said no you won't sir a also why are you standing you were just in that wheelchair a moment ago oh you're confusing everybody oh Luke performed so many miracles this weekend yeah he did like he would roll over to something and then just stand up and walk yeah and he played Just Dance Just Dance oh God so everyone thought you were faking it in other words I wasn't faking it we I'm pay I'm still paying for it now and I still using I know you're not faking it but if I was to see someone in a wheelchair at a convention just suddenly get up and play Dance Hero I'd be like come on Dance Hero that was Dance Hero by the way not Dan's hero Al Dan hero Luke is my hero of course I had to carry Jenner at one point I do hope to play Dance Hero one day you're the wi Beneath My Wings

Maddie what was your favorite thing of pax Jenna oh I forgot to be thinking of that what I'm trying to think of my favorite thing that can be mentioned on the podcast what was that supposed to Jesus ladies and gentlemen that was my favorite thing oh yeah are you implying that your favorite thing was Matt [ __ ] you after packs is that is that what that was not Matt Luke right yeah and it wasn't after packs it was at packs yeah on stage we had a panel Dan and he didn't [ __ ] you you [ __ ] him he she was playing Luke's hero yeah ladies and gentlemen I I enjoyed that game that was a board game that I ended up going and buying did you yes I now own it awesome you played about five minutes of it after we finally set up we learned how to play set up and

played in what half an hour mhm mhm because that's all we had left before before they shut the evening mhm so why don't you to explain to the listeners what it is right so it is a board game where um you play as teams and one team member is a man who is going to the stocks and doing you know Finding resources and selling stocks and making money and then his wife your other team member uh is buying the fanciest outfit for the ball at the end of the week and at the end of each night she comes home and gives you her receipts and you have to yell at her for spending so much money so you have to discuss the budget you have to discuss finances and whether or not she needs that dress to look that nice at the end of the week and you have to decide on what you're going to keep and

what she's going to return what and then at the end of the week when you attend the ball the person who's most elegantly dressed like as in it a point system to go with it uh will win it's pretty awesome it is pretty awesome and we we switched it around too so most of the ladies were played by men of course yeah yeah because that's it's just more fun that way yeah and they seem to all take Southern bell accents just like to say my wife was dressed beautifully at the end mine unfortunately was not because I didn't know how to play the game very well yeah or you played it very well to stop her from spending sounds like you did okay well no no because she does have to have enough Elegance at the at the ball otherwise you won't win the idea is to be able to support her yeah

right so I see all right what about you what was your favorite thing um my favorite thing may have been Earth light oh that was beautiful because I didn't think I was going to get to do it now um we discussed before that Luke and I had never used like a VR headset like an Oculus Rift or anything and then Dan you used one at um Singapore Comic Con I did no I used one at Manila Comic Con right what did you use did you use the Oculus Rift yeah yeah okay yeah okay well this this thing there's pictures of me on Instagram being disappointed by it so check those out yeah yeah well there's going to be pictures on Instagram of me being delighted by this was this was actually steam VR so it's the HTC headset and uh and the steam controllers okay and what

this thing is uh it's a the whole game will be a simulation of what it's like to become an astronaut have go this is exactly what you asked for about two weeks ago yes so um we only got to play A short segment of it which um basically you are inside a hatch in the spa in the ISS M and then the hatch opens and then you have to crawl along the outside of the ISS um kind of hand over hand hand over hand and you've got little triggers and and and controls on the on on the the controller a joystick kind of thing yeah and as you reach out you pull in the trigger to indicate that you're grabbing on and then you crawl along uh and then and then I that's really a spoiler considering the you guys also can't see

this but Matt is doing all of the hand motions are the hand motions the spoiler or the words no say because they asked us they asked us not to tell anybody what happens at the end because it's a bit a surprise I I don't think that's so much spoiler for the game but just a spoiler for people using it on the day yeah right no no no I know I know well at the end you you reach this control panel and you're supposed to to adjust one of the the electrical cables and it it kind of um shorts and you get blasted off in space and uh you're kind of just free floating in space it it was kind of like everything that I want from are like because I have you know like when people say oh you know think of a nice relaxing thing my kind of my my my thing that you

can't call me on when people say that is that I'm floating around above the Earth kind of looking around in space that's my Rea that's my relaxation place so that wouldn't scare you no like to actually be floating around I mean well you mean like if I got blasted out like of a flaming spaceship might might bother me slightly but um but I mean that's the you know the idea of kind of flirting around up there and looking looking at the Earth and then turning around looking out the other way at just the vastness of everything I don't know I just find that really peaceful in your Visions are you wearing a space suit they're irrelevant they just wearing nothing irrelevant it doesn't you're pulling a luk it's just relaxing doesn't have to be it doesn't have to be

scientifically accurate so it's not the Martian no and we have to say big thank you to those guys for letting us in yeah yeah they were C totally we were slack and we didn't actually organize the to meet up with them beforehand and they were full up and they were nice enough to let us in have a chat with us before know I don't even want to admit this if they if they happen to listen that we just neglected to book a time and then yeah because there was a lot at packs and then I don't know for some reason that one just fell through the cracks but then when we saw what it was I was like [ __ ] I have to do that so and when they saw that we were media yeah our podcasty mouths went right around there ISS virtual simulation

dicks I've played that and that was that was good so we I got to try the Oculus Rift there oh yeah you guys did that yeah uh that was just more of an experience just hey watch this it was hardly an experience yeah uh the HTC VI which one we just talking about the one we didn't get to try was the new Sony PlayStation VR mhm all right but we are going to do that we yes we weren't able to get in but they invited us to go into the office and do that so we're going to do that at some point stay tuned for that one yep and yeah so that was my favorite thing I think was that it just because it was so I it was very unique because I haven't used VR before and that was kind of like a good introduction yeah and the thing is about how real this is is they'll

explain to us like this is out there NASA have contacted them to discuss this yeah right they they went out to show them take this down you are misrepresent us yeah that's right you can't just float around in space and look at things without a space suit on who do you think you are mat who is your consult who is Matthew h who is this guy it's thing you can't call him on it he's got us there yeah so that was a highlight um another thing I enjoyed I we've got to play the demo for the new Tomb Raider finally to do that EB Expo that was the first thing we did yeah I rushed there because I knew the line for that was going to be atrocious played that it's it's great it's everything you think it's going to be got a week got a week before it comes out yep yep next

Monday next Tuesday sorry got Fallout 4 and that coming out later Battlefront so we've got to finish both those games in a week so we can start playing Battlefront yeah well Battlefront can be multiplayer only so it's kind of like you got to wait yeah yeah you don't really have to play it all the time well you don't really have to play any games all the time unless you want to no you have to just any listeners who aren sure about that you don't have to play games all the time you start Fallout 4 and then tell me you don't have to play it all the time yeah yeah well I managed to take a break from The Witcher 3 I got to go back to it but I did take a break and I played all the way through Tomb Raider so it can be done well you wait till

Mass Effect uh Andromeda comes out in December and you tell me then that you can't play games all the time yeah yeah when we go in and like basically this game is just uh you kind of just float around out in space and look at planets space suit yeah without space suit it's pretty niche market I like go but I'm Commander sheeper right Commander Matt Shephard Matt sheeper I'm may have ordered something when I got home yesterday after packs cuz I got to use it at packs and I feel a little bad about it can we guess what it is Dildo that we found on the floor you guess play the play the sex toy news jingle I don't know if I have it in here but we can do we really not have a sex toy news jingle it's it's not an actual sex toy we've had so much sex toy news

Well if we don't have one I'll make one and then we'll put it in the jingle not the sex toy doy to ins of you listen to sex to news sex to news so what what was it Luke what kind of dildo is it it's not a dildo I went out and I have now got wait give us a hint uh um XBox what it's an Xbox obiously no it's not an Xbox not a hint that is so a hint you've got two of them Luke yes but one of them doesn't have a dildo connected to it oh is it a Pro Controller yes the elite controller oh I wasn't going to get one but then I got my hands on one and it just felt amazing are we still talking about the dildo I'm going to I'm going to cut that bit where he says it's

the controller yeah like when I was talking about the mini disc player and how impressed with it and the iPhone yeah that's right is it the same as what we used to play Tomb Raider it is you're really that impressed by the yeah I mean it just felt like a Xbox controller with a I could feel there were with a shiny d-pad yeah and there was some switches on the back that I didn't know what they did buty shiny d-pad they didn't seem to do anything with with the switches you they actually there's clips that go into them and also you can adjust the sticks and the dpad and everything that just seems annoying what do they do the sticks you can have different sizes with the thumb sticks yeah here's a dildo you have different size with the thumb stick you can have different types of d-pads

on there now to make it a bit easier to push around you can have you can change um yeah you've got the four buttons on the back right so you can program them to the BDA button or any button on the controller and yeah it just the weight of it was actually amazing was the one main thing when I got back and I picked up my Xbox controller at home it just didn't feel the same so I ordered one that arrives Frid your [ __ ] muscles have already locked in on this other controller after 20 minutes yeah so yeah that's being delivered on Friday Dare I ask how much was it uh 200 are you serious W it wasn't that different plus shipping Jesus all right well I mean look if any one of us was going to get one it's Luke so I expect

to see two achievements a day from now since you'll be more efficient yes Dan do you know what Luke did to get achiev while we were at PS yeah yeah I do he uh yeah yeah yeah he got a Microsoft phone right yeah yeah Y and he Mur and he murdered that prostitute well that is an achievement but it's not one that he didn't have already yeah on the last day the achievement I got was in Angry Birds damn it kept the streak going I like how this is not even like it's just arbit now yeah that's right it could be it could be anything what I know it doesn't count anymore yeah what do you mean it doesn't count don't listen to him buddy don't listen to him yeah it's like you H I'm going to eat uh a cookie every day I'm kind of sick of cookies what if I just ate chocolate chip a

we'll pop that in yeah good day um I'm just here at paas I'm going to do a bit of a wander around the show floor and try and sus out the um Sasquatch themed games on offer this year um what with the success of the Red Dead Redemption uh expansion that heavily featured the uh the the Sasquatch um I'm pretty sure they're going to be looking to include include that kind of content in a lot of these games uh here today so um I'm I'm just going to have a bit of a wander around and um see what I can see I don't imagine it's going to be too hard to find uh to find what I'm after so um I'll check back in with you in a sec so um oh I've been wandering around for um about an hour now and uh a bit confusing I haven't seen um I haven't

seen a whole lot of Sasquatch content on offer um couple of the devs that I spoke to um didn't really know whether they were going to be able to squeeze some of my ideas in um but I mean it's it's fairly positive I'm going to keep looking around I saw something that um I thought uh pretty confident um was a Sasquatch uh on one of the posters for a game um it's called um uh Battlefront so I'm going to go check that out now and uh I'm pretty sure they're going to have what I'm after yeah well turns out um Battlefront is another [ __ ] Star Wars game and that um the the Sasquatch in I don't even call a Sasquatch they call it a um a wooki or some some [ __ ] stupid thing it's a [ __ ] Sasquatch say call call it as it is you know Spade's a spade Sasquatch is a Sasquatch you know

[ __ ] ridiculous oh it's a space Sasquatch no it's this is really disappointing you know I don't know I'm going to give it one more round and I'll see how I go but I'm just really disappointed in in in this event in general well uh turns out things are looking up a bit I'm uh I'm currently in Crown Casino I got sick of that stupid [ __ ] convention too many Nerds man it's [ __ ] nerds everywhere it's like a [ __ ] plague of nerds God unbearable anyway I'm here in the casino now and I've I've hit hit gold struck gold I found um Betty the yeti um that's uh you know one of those Pok machines uh it's got a sexy uh sexy Yeti um I guess her name's Betty it's a good name for Yeti Betty you know I like a bit of bit

space game and I got to say it was pretty impressive it's massive it's like quite an undertaking this is a game that's um been it was developed by one guy for a very long time like three years right and this game you basically it's got a persistent world it's like an MMO sort of it's a persistent sorry I say World persistent Universe of was it 27,000 star system they grow as was billion it could be billion it grows EXP exponentially that's that's the universe billion so but but you can you can you start out right with a basic ship and and you can just fly out and discover U new star systems and planets and and things like that and it it all it's procedurally generated except once

somebody's discovered it um it it exists you know in the world and it stays there and you could name it after yourself so for example if you found a planet you could name it Planet D and would you name it danam uh no I wouldn't but Dan might no I think you should all name it Dan I don't understand why any of you would find a planet and not name it Dan that's just insulting exactly but not only that your ship has uh the ability to so all the planets and systems are generated based on actual science so um the the you know the the orbit orbital what do you call it circumference or however you describe that in actual science terms pretend I'm a scientist the orbital circumference is scientifically accurate and also the um

thank you Dr Ham I'm a professor professor Dr Ham you're welcome the um the makeup of the planets themselves are all kind of scientific so they the atmosphere will be certain gases and your ship can apparently uh you can set the senses and again he kept pointing out you don't have to do any of this if you don't want to yeah you could just as simple as you want it to be no you could just you could just fly from planet to planet or you could just float near a planet with a big grin on your face enjoying every minute of it yeah um but your your ship senses can sense the um pick up what the the the gas in the atmosphere is and you can build a factory and and you can actually go in in in a sort of pseudo programming language and tell the factory what to do

with the gases in the atmosphere to convert them into so you like oh this planet's got a lot of hydrogen and oxygen let's you let's make water you can make a water Factory and then uh and then use that to terraform the planet but then also take that water and sell it to someone on another plan it's like it's kind of mindboggling the amount of stuff that he's done like by himself which is just the by himself yeah and you and so and and not only that you you can get you can fly down from from space to the planet like you just fly it's a continuous journey I don't mean it it says loading Planet no you fly down to the planet land get out walk into a building and start talking to people and like trading with them and stuff it's pretty awesome the thing I really liked

about this game is it's what was it it's there's so many different types of game within this game that no matter how you want to play what you want to do you can play that way like I would be a Smuggler in this game yes and so there are people who just what they do they just smuggle stuff between planet and Planet yeah other people you can go out there and you just might want to explore so you can just travel out there and explore and find planets and then sell that information to other players so they can go and terraform it right yeah so you can you can f found Planet Dan right and you can say on this planet no women I don't want any women on this planet right I don't know I don't why you would do that but you could do that and then somebody sure you don't matter sure you

don't take advantage of the uh of the demand for women and start smuggling the men and selling them How would how could you tell how could you tell them apart all the women yeah well I'm use my eyeballs okay um there's actually there's also a government that's right so each planet sort of will have you and you elect a leader and then there's councils and the galactic government and the space president it's just I like all way back to him like he had to decide yeah in the end if if it if no one could decide he gets an email and he has to figure it out wait so he he is the space president decides if that's okay what's that the guy he's he's the the space president that's right yeah if if if if the local governments can't

figure it all out then he he kind of comes in he has to come in and go no that's stupid and like approves or you know whatever but again he he pointed out that you it's it's as complex or as simple as you want it to be really you don't have to do any of that other advanced stuff and or if you only want to focus on one aspect of it um you know like say smuggling if you want to just smuggle stuff you can just you could do that and they have he has people with like over 2,000 hours um in game now already it's only in Early Access apparently it's just like you can just live in that world and um he's also very driven by feedback so people have said for example he said he's working a lot

now on the combat because he said one of the things that people have said needs work is is the combat in it because he's put a lot of effort into all this other stuff which is really deep and and people like it but the combat for people who just want to come in and shoot other spaceships is not as refined yeah so he's doing that and and the other thing they recently had a Kickstarter to hire an artist because um it's because he's been doing himself in his programmer the the art in it was very programmer art before and and so they're working on that now that's a really polite to say it Matt look I I'm work as a developer and and I have the same problem I'm not a designer but yeah so they're sorting that out and also he's he's looking to

get a UI designer in to try and simplify some of the more um cerebral control systems like some of the ships and stuff where you've got to go in and it's kind of like a Unix terminal and you've got to type in certain things he wants to try to get someone to figure out how to make that more user friendly so hm but yeah I mean it's called Ascent the space game it looks really cool check it out on Steam um and I mean while you're waiting for something like Star Citizen or if you I don't I mean don't put them down like what like you can play it until star citiz comes out well that's not what I meant what I meant was there's probably a lot of crossover between the two so pick one or the other don't bother with them both yeah so pick

one of the other and this one's out now so you know the other one might be a to Derek Smart so I mean Derek Smart it's in the name smart make the Smart Choice as sent the Space Game Jesus so so fluffy kitten Studios H check it out it's pretty cool uh and our interview with uh with James is up on um on the specials Channel and we might pop that up on YouTube as well at some point let you know what else did we play did you want to talk about any of the indie games you played Luke um I ended up going back and playing uh well what was it it was uh I think gems of War oh did you yes we were joking about that oh yeah that was just like Beed or something right we were like you know what's missing from Beed

war and a dragon they did have the most interesting looking Booth so I'll give them that what it was is what I found is cuz when I walked past it just looked like Puzzle Quest yeah and when I got in there and found out that yes this is made by the guys who made Puzzle Quest well that explains it m so I actually started downloading it and I started playing and it's just sort of an evolution of Puzzle Quest so you've bought it already what well it's free it's a free to-play app oh okay oh it's a yeah it's just um it brings in a bit of PVP so you can buy things to unlock armor and weapons and all this stuff but you can just play it single player and that's what I'm doing yeah right cuz I really enjoy The Puzzle Quest games and you hate playing games with other people

y screw other people so it's like Beed mixed with war yeah so you actually get now when instead of just you picking up new spells or anything you actually build up a team and the different different members of your team have different abilities and they get able to use the abilities by you matching gems and so you got to build your team around what you're going to be fighting right goes like that so it is interesting and I am enjoying it okay all right so and I like Puzzle Quest and it's perfect for just a quick pick up put down game what you doing your too busy watching Indiana Jones no well no but while I'm doing the podcast I just know B sorry what are you playing right now no I am not have you did you get on your Windows phone or on um another device Android Android yes that's a

shame yeah I haven't see if I I don't know I don't think achievements come with it so I haven't looked at it might want the Windows phone is just for me traveling and I need when I need achievements is it an indie game you liked Jenna yeah I really liked um SMG you know they did um one more line did you play that one last year Luke one more line yes that's very addictive game I know I know have you seen that Dan one more line uh it's a cocaine game yeah cocaine simul yep that's right yep yep that's all we're going to say about that and uh so their new one death squared yeah was pretty good yeah yeah it's fun it's a Cooperative puzzle game and you're just this little robot square and you have to move to your corresponding circle on the

other side of the board yeah but as people move these lasers will they'll move also and they'll hit the uh like your partners and like spikes will pop out of the floor when when you move so you kind of have to coordinate all together mhm as to how you're going to do it so your movements will trigger uh the environment to change in ways that will harm your your teammates yeah so it's a difficult one to explain and when we interviewed him uh on the specialist Channel he also even had trouble describing quite how the gameplay works so we only played two player but there's a four I think did he say there was a six as well or am I

making that up don't know we played two-player and there's a four-player mode as well and that uh that looks like it could be be more complicated but he said they were they were still unsure about which is which is tougher and it's pretty fun and frustrating but he said also that that it's actually can be even more frustrating than any of the levels they brought to PEX because they didn't want to scare people off so apparently it can get pretty intense yeah we only played six levels so yeah it might be worth if if you're curious check out uh maybe look up on YouTube some videos of it yeah death squared by SMG Studios we'll put we'll put up some videos we'll link to them because um yeah It's tricky to explain but it's definitely very cool all right I want to talk about uh keep

defense a bit as well um you played that as well Luke yes I played that while you're having a chat that's right and got my ass kicked keep defense is a pretty cool combination of um you know the tower defense game man where you place um yeah you place defenses around as people attack it's like a combination of that with a um like a a card batt b game where so all the all the the pieces that you place are cards um kind of like you know like say a Hearthstone or Magic the Gathering style card with a with a character or Monster on it uh and one person plays the defense and one person plays the monsters and uh it's really cool cuz it's got a single player campaign and and as you go along the

cards can level up and gain you abilities and stuff like that and then the end game is that you will will play PVP against other humans so um it's kind of like you you play through the single player and you can learn how to do everything and then um and then you play against other people and hope you win and uh it's in development now I think it's it's not out until uh early next year I think and um uh but yeah it looks really really cool um they've got a bunch of kind of physical cards that they had as promos to give away with them and and I know it just looks like um it could be pretty addictive so it's going to be on PC and Mac I believe first and then they want to bring it to the mobile platforms which I think it would do really well on

iPad personally I could be wrong about that I'm not an expert what you're not an expert in what games you like I am why and what games will sell well on iPad you're an you are an expert Luke what do you think I'm an expert on everything um what do you think no I think that's a good one especially if you can have that uh cuz that would be good for a pickup put down game so you got your iPad if you can play other people yeah online so be good mobile game like that yeah have a round how long does a round take oh like minute oh right okay yeah yeah it depends I think I'm I assume they get tougher as you have more cards and more more um powerful cards but yeah I think it depends yeah I don't think it I don't think they're very long matches no no

definitely not like you know like it's not like a civilization 5 game or anything anything like that not interested not interested all right well I'm going to ask you guys to talk about one because I want to hear more about it and that is armed and gelatinous that's kind of a sore spot for us we were robbed that guy was lying I've never played this game before lying about the arms or the the the guns he's lying about the guns PL of jelly not so many guns this game was actually quite fun and I'm looking forward to it coming out next year yeah you play this little blob thing and we played a it was just like real life one one what was it four it was three for all four four people and

so you fly around and you the way you get bigger is you run into other blobs and then you can actually pick up weapons and when you pick up a weapon whichever way you pick it up that's the way it shoots you can't change the direction it shoots yeah which I I wasn't told at first I was like how the [ __ ] do I move this gun the more weapons you pick up then they kind of surround you and you can shoot in any direction they just kind of stick out of you y just like life and um yeah that was the that was the game and it's uh I had a lot of fun playing it and I got I started to learn how to play it towards the end yeah but it was too late it's like it's kind of like you know one of those single screen battle games Dan where it's just like one

screen everyone's on one screen shooting at each other yeah and you're acting out Matt's dream just floating in space well no I don't I'm not shooting at anybody dream this is a peaceful dream Matt's dream during war times I'll tell you what next time I have the dream I'll look down and see if I'm gelatinous look down what part of you do you suspect might beus well I don't know I don't know I best not speculate just see if there's a gelatinous blob floating in front of you right or inside of oh it's the opositor there's a indie game no one's made well I also enjoyed it was good to see it because I actually I backed this game on Kickstarter um uh Hollow Knight

by team Cherry which is um it's a Metroid Vania Style game which is a genre that I really enjoy um but it's like a little creepy Grim Reaper it's very gothic art yeah so you know it's my must I like it it's like cute go um your second thing just this episode yeah I got a lot of things you know floating in space call me on it having things having things is your thing having things is my thing you can't call me on it um yeah so you explore kind of like in in in Metroid or or Castlevania um you know like all the world is joined together in kind of like it's so responsive and good and so infuriating um I don't know if you recall I I played that with a mouse and keyboard no but you were playing Hollow

night and then and because I was getting some footage and then before we left I said no I just want to I want to feel how the controls are because that's kind of like a bug bear for me is like games like I love those games but if the controls aren't good then it shits me but uh you know the controls are really really good so I'm happy about that oh and you know uh yeah is this a is this a conflict of interest or can we discuss John's game yeah we can discuss John's does he listen to the podcast no [ __ ] yeah he does he does oh better not then so can you answer me one question about John's game yeah did it used to be called mow drop and now it's called mow drops there weren't enough drops is it was it about one drop and now it's about many drops this one is a sequel to well

no it's not even a sequel he's kind of evolved it's a rebranding remade so it's yeah it's a gritty reboot it's actually not a grit fish reboot so it's kind of like um Desperado is kind of half remake and half sequel to El Maran right yeah it's like the opposite of a gritty reboot because this one's kind of all fluffy and right it's a fluffy reboot a lot of fluffy reboots com look if gamergate gets upset with us whatever can bring it on so yes uh our good friend John was showing his game mow drop at P um I think it's looking really good it's a it's a puzzle game uh it's a gravity based puzzle game so you can play it on

um a PC and mac and then uh you kind of rotate the world using the the keyboard and then on um mobile devices you can just rotate the whole device uh and well that's [ __ ] I mean I want to I want to rotate my Mac yeah actually I didn't play it that's [ __ ] that's I want I want to turn my upside down when I want to drop down I want to rotate me and have it know where I am Johnson you failed mate thumbs down thumbs down but no it's uh it's a really cool gravity based puzzle game um H and yeah you you collect stars and move through the levels by um rotating the controller or using the controls um check it out at melod drops.com uh it's it's been green

lit yeah one um why did you phrase that like a question oh what award sounds like he won some filthy award do you know what I mean and we had to censor it that's what it sounds like he won a dick award Malad drops won recently uh at the Australian game developer Awards the award for excellence in design so um I mean it was a pretty award oh yeah the award it's for excellence and design the not excellence in design in design oh in design yeah yeah so yeah yeah so there you go Johnson Award winning game that actually check it out mow drops.com I Googled dick award because you said dick Awards and I wanted to know if there was a dick award and um it still remains to be seen because I got

sidetracked by reading um out of context um Facebook posts and this just made me laugh some some girl who hadn't really thought it through wrote biggest dick award goes to my stepdad that's awesome which is fantastic followed closely by my uncle that's right my third grade teacher another game that I purchased well this is actually a physical a uh drinking game if you will it is MHM uh it's called drinking Quest it is a card-based role playing game combined with a drinking game that's all card Bing all all card based role playing games in my

experience yeah whenever we play them they become drinking games but but this one actually has um drinking you know included in the game as an element so apparently when you but he said it's designed to um not get get you too [ __ ] up like s every time a drinking game that teachers the game if you don't every time your character dies you have to take a drink I believe is is how he we we bought a copy of it but we haven't um had a chance to play it yet cuz it he was um you can hear our interview with Jason anak the creative director of drinking Quest um that's on the special's Channel as well he convinced us to buy a copy of it yeah totally he did really well they he sold out yeah right yeah well I mean

it's sold out pretty compelling it's a he sold out a copies of the game you didn't have any left touche we would all do the same thing yeah can't wait oh we did we did wait until you hear the ads listeners wait until you hear them but anyway what games did you buy Luke I got uh senal senal senal senal I thought no people said it was a good game and I got it I haven't played yet Sentinels Sentinels it's a game I own it are what they call people's dicks in Parliament I I met a senator yesterday well we we met a a couple times actually during the course of the weekend but yeah who did you meet no one

that you would have heard of I met a um Filipino politician yeah just as a as a quick there's not really a long story but I did find this funny so we had we were doing this campaign it's it's for Discovery Channel and it's for um uh an environmental cause right so they got all these volunteers from various environmental causes and politicians who have an environmental skew and stuff to come and do a little bit to camera right and everyone just came in and and and I said oh you have got to prepare something and say no no I'll just wing it I know I know all about my charity this um politician the senator came in and she had she waited and we waited for one hour while they did this while her

staff of five writers wrote the two lines that she was going to say in the video [ __ ] ridiculous politicians well we met Senator Scott Lam again we actually met we met him before at big head mode but um he so there's a senator that's into gaming is what you're telling me yeah yeah yeah for him he's he's one of the greens definitely vote for him probably probably will at this point cuz he came to the pub with us I'd like to say you both have to vote now don't you oh yeah that's right true we're both citizens now vote L them BL can't go wrong with a D and D wielding Senator oh he was on a panel um to play D and D yeah they did a live um

d and d game uh actually it's a a great podcast called um Dragon Friends where they play it's a group of comedians who have never played D and D before uh and and one dungeon master who has uh and they play D and D together for the first time uh and it's very funny and back on it twice I guess because once you've been on you've played it yeah you've played it yeah but yeah Senator Lin played with them live at PX and he was uh he was hilarious yeah he was great he's a nice guy yeah so I guess we're political now did yeah did you see his um did you see his [Laughter] cadal sorry ly I forgot that's where we started on this I brought it on myself oh the other things I got was I got a

lot of Star Wars X-Wing Min X-wing miniatures expansions a lot of expansions and I started my collection oh you did I'm going to I did I do seem to recall the last time this got brought up and you're being like why would you get that yeah probably was and then I saw it I saw a bunch of people standing around the map of the galaxy moving around x-wings and Star Destroyers and and Millennium Falcons and I went how do I get in on this right now yeah I saw the Falcon and I was sold the crazy thing it's not that expensive no it's not the starter kit wasn't I'm sure if you collect everything yeah what everything is expensive but all the ships is like he here's one for like $20 here's one for $30 like they're

not expensive on this by themselves but when you buy all of them I spend over $150 on them that's how they get you the Falcon is like I think 40 or 50 bucks but if you have a look stuff like um the what is it the T 4 the you know the the the Fred you know the one I mean the one from the start of a new hope that's like oh that's $100 yeah that's like 100 and then a star destroyer is like 200 or something like that so they get you they get you unless you're just going to have little dog fights with your x-wings and your Tie fighters that's all I have I just float around I've got yeah I've just got a little figure of me and I when people playing I come along and I go throw in this is a peaceful dream yeah

guys man one day I'll get to float around in space I would love that I really would I would love that it would be great just to AR you know how you can do those Flats up right just into orbit and I reckon I know it's they're really expensive and a lot of people say it's not worth it I reckon it would be just because you could look out one side and see the Earth and then look at the other side and I reckon just that would be amazing I would love to do that just to look out the other way and be like yeah we're pretty insignificant Matt you could do that now Matt I'm not giving you $300,000 mat look down that's the Earth yeah now look up that's my dick that's my senal I thought you were going to say look down you're pretty
