also meant my file didn't upload so we use an online thing to record everything mine didn't work so I had to use the damn you California I know you down again Mar it you [ __ ] and it looked like it did so well you straight to 99 and looked great and they just sat there it's always it's always concerning when you go straight to 99 though it just sat there and I tried and I tried no nothing didn't like it anyway but we have this recording uh hopefully this week you'll see the uh the the edited version I'm going to put it out there you get what you pay for well no the patrons also got that [ __ ] for version oh oh yeah oh that's sorry about that you got what you paid

for how's everybody been pretty good I failed in my task to go see alien yet either I'm hopefully going to go see it after this today okay today yeah okay yeah I'm glad one of us will get to see it cuz I I don't I don't think I'm going to have a chance I'm going to have to would be fine that's all right I I mean I saw [ __ ] all the other aliens on VHS so I think the only aliens I've seen at the cinema were oh no I saw Alien Resurrection at the cinema and then from then on yeah I took a date took a date to see that did you who' you I took took Rob Styler so who you take uh I think somebody who knows Rob Styler I forget her name Angelina I think her name was uh not angel no no no no no no no uh

a girl I knew in high school not from not from my high school I don't even remember how I knew her from from M and Luke's High School no I reck samar's I don't recall this was a long time ago and it was the one and only date we had I just met her somewhere liked her went we went to the movies didn't we didn't work out she did come to a party with me after that and then we had a talk where we were like yeah no never mind really going to and then I never saw her again cuz that's what happens if you don't work did you do the Neil game and um I have a feeling you're not going to sleep with me and I'm going to have to let you go and that makes me very sad we've got some followup luk going to be very excited in the after party Neil won't stop Neil just leave him alone

podcasts he's just on one yeah two he's one of the few people who was who was on more podcasts than he listens to on three are you on a third you've been on others I've been on he been on others I've been on others do we count the Kevin Smith podcast as a podcast you've been on that's the most high-profile podcast I I certainly went and listened to that when when I knew you were on there and I was on there for air bit they featured you heavily they were very entertained by you yeah you you played that you played that up pretty well though yeah I could I could hear they couldn't tell but I could tell you were like how do I milk the [ __ ] out of this yeah by by making up [ __ ] stories about KOA giving koala water during the

bush fires M it worked it certainly did it certainly did for a video of it that's isn't it just change that story to me doing tragic tragic yeah is it hot there Luke it's [ __ ] hot here it's been 30° all this week um for the last week of winter that's pretty hot we're for Americas that's about 90 yeah 16 okay there you go y it's cooling down a bit here actually probably about the same temperature to be honest it's been it's almost uh pumpkin spice latte season for you Matt it is it is and it's pumpkin beer season at Proclamation L company not a sponsor but if they want a sponsor happy to promote them they're a sponsor of You Matt yeah or actually Matt sponsors them I go there several times a week it goes both ways yeah no I

store in San Diego I got it oh a pumpkin cold brew thing to have the hotel coffee was a bit you KN it off see see if we can get we must be able to get pumpkin bee heat somewhere there'll be something I'm positive I had it when I was there I don't remember what company made it though maybe the same company that made that remember that was that mango one and that chili one what was that company that made that that was that was in Sydney and I'm sure they had a pumpkin one yeah fancy cans not going be like Luke that's that's no no they're they're they're ALS mhm oh yeah yeah yeah yeah for sure and that's not nice because it's not lager I'm sure there's a pumpkin L here anyway come visit they'll sort that out

um alien Romulus is not available yet but there's a movie that's in theaters that we've been talking about quite a lot lately and we were questioning whether we'd be able to go see it well now you don't have to you can you can rent it you can obtain it it's available and that movie is Borderlands oh that was quick it was very quick and and I checked when I saw that you'd put this in I thought no surely not and I went and yes they have fast fast fast tracked this I skewed this up so maybe I will watch this I'm watching something else at the moment that we can talk about later but yeah I'll give this a go maybe I'll skip alien and just see this cuz don't not see a good movie to watch Borderlands Dan and I can't go to the

movies you can just do it for us I I'll try and watch this this week I actually Luke you should try to take whoever Matt took to Alien Resurrection this yeah wees like alien or she doesn't like Matt and she's yeah cuz if she's like [ __ ] I love the Alien movies then you'll be like we know what it was be like Matt Drew it high or something was from somewhere like I was going to say exotic it's not somewhere different to us you know we grew up she was from from you know drew it as being exotic yeah yeah she was very nice just yeah anyway was that reality series that they filmed out there called struggle street that everyone from there was like that's

pretty condescending yeah we have a mutual friend who was a police officer in m i will not say who it was MH uh they did get in trouble for shooting a snake in Mount Dru MH yeah yeah um so border him that's I had to go to m Dr police station because actually it is a it's a big police precinct there right so smaller towns have smaller ones but that's kind of one of the centers and so I had to make a comment on a crime that happened in dun side or somewhere like that and so M was the the precinct I had to go into and I said to the guy there CU I said are you from here he goes no no I'm from Newcastle or somewhere I said okay so you just got assigned here and he's like no I I asked to be

assigned here because this is the this is the exciting one this is the one yeah this is the one where you're chasing dudes and you're doing all the Lethal Weapon stuff that you see on TV yeah that's what I think of when I think Mount Dr we did ice skating in Mount Dru for school Sport and I remember they said oh you got to we're going to go to mount Dru and we're like Mount Dru we're gonna get [ __ ] murdered yeah yeah well I remember we we have another mutual friend who um in fact the only one of one of only two people from our school that I know for a fact is a grandfather at this point um okay uh I'm I can tell you I'm sure he won't mind John Sherry right John John you know John yeah I remember joh his kids have okay do I know John I'm

sure I do yeah he anyway it's fine I'm going to guess that there's probably a few M of grandparents the there's one that I know of that there were there were two pregnant girls at our year 10 formal um both of them pregnant to the same guy um he is also a grandfather now remember that the dolphin had the dolphin tattoo that turned into a whale yeah she was real pretty though back in the day but but yeah he's got he's got like John's granddaughter is just a baby now but this other person's granddaughter is like walking and talking yeah yeah anyway that's not what this is about yes uh we stayed at his house in um in Mount it for a you know sleepover when we were

like 13 or 14 and uh he was like oh do you want to walk up the local shops we just get some lollies and cokes and stuff we're like yeah yeah yeah he's like okay opens a cupboard near the front door and starts handing out improvised weapons baseball bat chain Plank with a nail through it and just was like and we're like well we need these he's like yeah you'll need them [ __ ] maybe we just don't go up the shops then yeah yeah we've got something to eat in the house surely yeah actually I want to go home yeah I want my mom after to Cambridge Park where it's safe civilized people hang out it's Borderlands speaking of safe place sorry Borderlands yeah yeah Borderlands so yeah in other in other desolate Wasteland news so this article

I've put in here is the first article I've seen that's got a slightly positive tinge on the whole Borderlands thing and actually the comments reflect that cuz they're like did you guys get paid to say this because oh everything it's not it's not just some Little Indie thing this is The Verge yeah exactly and it's not overwhelmingly positive it's just basically just says yeah it's bad I mean the banner headline is the Borderlands movie hides its best ideas under painful jokes this person is just doing their it seems to me like this person's doing their best to see what's good about this yeah fair enough fair enough and so they're saying the the it looked when the movie started they were like oh this looks looks great looks like game like the game but not like the game because

obviously it's real people so I was like oh okay apparently it's visually interesting no one said that before this sure no true um and then also want to be because the one thing before any of us had played Borderlands that we noticed was that the game was visually yes exactly um and well it was known as that game that looks like a comic book when it first came out um and the other thing that was interesting in this article is that she actually interviewed Randy Pitchford uh which isn't clear from the headline yeah from the headline is not clear I feel like I don't know I was surprised as I was reading it to learn oh there's an interview in here too he hi the lead there yeah and so Randy apparently I thought I thought this was interesting

because we've been following Randy for a long time listeners of the show will following him occasionally literally following him yeah and asking him questions um he um he was in the movie as Marcus he does the voice of Marcus the Arms Dealer mhm he was in the in the movie in makeup Asus for that I'll watch and then and then he's not because he went and he watched the Uncharted movie and there's a scene where what's his name Nolan North whatever the guy uh I have no idea I've not oh you exclusive I'm not going to know you know I'm just realizing was it was Troy Baker in Uncharted or I making that one of them was one of them Troy Baker two guys one of the voice actors had a cameo in it and he said it was so on the nose and distracting that he actually called Eli

Roth and said can you cut me out of the movie I forgot this was Eli Roth yeah but it's of weird it's also it's very very not Randy Pitchford thing to do it's not Randy Pitchford but also that Cameo sort of would have worked cuz that's a character that's in the game but not the character he in the a household known celebrity people that want him to be in there are going to recognize him I did watch the Uncharted movie it was terrible I don't remember that scene at all was it uh Mark warberg Tom Holland Tom Holland yeah an Australian girl I didn't watch that play G so never have either I'll play it I heard the games were good this wasn't I've heard they were very good I've heard this has nothing to do

with the games I played a bit of the first game it was it was good but it's Marky Mark starring in this game adaptation is as good as him starring in the max pain movie then maky Mark used to be good in stuff remember the big hit that's a great movie big hit's great three kings [ __ ] excellent three kings I saw that's George cloney too right yeah uh and who's that director I saw an interview with George Clooney the other day because I guess that director has got some new movie coming out can't even remember Kings the director is maybe I'm uh David O Russell I saw an interview with George CL the other day saying you couldn't pay me to work with that [ __ ] again which which [ __ ]

George saying he wouldn't work with Russell T Davis again he said you couldn't pay not David O Russell not Russell T Davies whatever what's the difference no no no well one of them's in TV one of them is in film uh if you want to see the entire cast and crew walk out on David O Russell right type in to YouTube David O Russell hakabe walk out because at one point he starts screaming at I can't remember if it's it's Lily Tomlin or Angelica Houston one of those kind of grand Dames of of Hollywood right just starts [ __ ] hammering her calling her a [ __ ] like just like really if you can't act you [ __ ] can't like just go go full mount it on her right and then um and she's

just standing there going are you [ __ ] serious and you can just see in frame like all the other actors are just standing there and then in frame the ad starts going just go just go everyone and like everyone just starts leaving the set and the camera man's like yeah I'm going to [ __ ] sell this to TMZ for so much money wow he's a real he said that like that movie is is great he has no regrets about doing the movie other than working with him and he said he would he would never work with him again wow like doesn't matter how end up it's not in his career that he like he would have had to to shut up at that point you know like he was a huge star but I know I think this was getting to the height of his yeah

maybe 99 this is cubing it forgot about that that was a good movie I saw that at the movies there this great gimmick where you saw some fire and then they would whip P to the person get shot and like a second later they would get shot it was just so cool and you would see an x-ray sometimes of the bullet going in and doing stuff I'll tell you one thing though it looks like Marky Mark liked him oh yeah he's he's done more with him okay okay anything weird dude though from what the fighter oh yeah oh with doesn't that also have uh CHR Christian Bale or am I thinking of something different um I think I think thought the same thing so that was quite good actually okay so as a decent director just just a kind of a person but I was thinking something you

said the other week you were talking about how there's some directors who like try to make the actors feel the way the character is meant to feel sure yeah yeah um and there's not really a term for it but I was just thinking like there should be a term for it and it should be method directing because you know method acting is like fully getting method directing is what we should call directors who aren't good enough to just explain what they want yeah and the ones that go around and kiss the girls in the nightclub before the nightclub scene yes not for the take doll just for me Richard L bear the book is by oh that's the book that had that thing that was talking about how some directors like to do that and I can't

remember if he is Pro or con being a [ __ ] to actors to make them emotional but yeah I just remember that chapter in there I think that got brought up because of Shel Duval right when when she pass we started talking about The Shining and that awful experience she had cuz I remember reading that and thinking that I wouldn't be doing that I bought that book at the time I thought maybe I'd be a director along there's a little section of my bookshelf there this is books from when I thought you might I might want to do something like all these little bits on my shelf go go like I really think that um there there's probably an argument to do it but there needs to be an agreement beforehand I could not I could not do that I would not be able to do that yeah

I would have to un unless the guy said like um because I remember this is this is great behind the scenes you know taxi driver right there's a scene in Taxi Driver that Martin gesi is in and he's in the back seat of the taxi dairo is in the front seat and he's sitting outside the apartment of a man who's his wife is having an affair with and he's kind of g a bit nuts and and B basically dairo is like I'm not going to dumb down my acting because it's you who's there right the objective of this scene is for you to get my attention for me to turn around my character doesn't give a [ __ ] about you so as an actor I'm not going to give a [ __ ] about you unless you really Captivate me with your performance and he kind of reverse directed and course was all like okay

and it got a great performance out of me because I kept trying to get his attention and I couldn't do it so I kept going and going and that's ended up being what would have happened in that scene so I think yeah if you're right if if there's if there's an agreement between two actors or an actor and a director you're going to have to really push me on this CU I don't really think I'm going to naturally be able to play this you got to bring it out of me but not just bullying women on set to see them [Laughter] cry do yeah that i' do anyway Just for kicks um Matt there was just speaking of things that you used to do and and then

decided not to do anymore um did you know that there's an annual um is an annual location manager Awards is there cuz I didn't know about this but maybe if you'd known about it you would stuck around a little longer um yeah but I just want to give you the nominations for this year I I did save it I'm just looking for it okay yeah um Mission Impossible okay you've seen it do it good I feel it does I feel they all doener sure deser yeah New Mexico love it I told you didn't know my neighbor exmilitary um uh physicist ex-military physicist and I'm like where' you study he goes um oh you wouldn't have heard of it it's called San Alamos it's in um oh it's in Los Alamos it's in New Mexico I'm like

I've heard of it yeah I'm familiar with it yeah yeah uh opher and Fallout another desert possibly the same desert fallout's got some varied stuff in it yeah but wasn't it more just filmed in thr a green screen apparently not unless he just found a really good Warehouse a really good green screen yeah already painted it's already painted I'm nominating you for an award mate you have saved us a lot of time I'm going to lie is my old boss not nominated no uh no not on there I'm afraid no that's that's is getting the Neil G award though whatever that is I don't know what that is he's going to win that he's going to win that one more about that in the Afterparty

yeah no not about that specifically not about that specif no no no no I did I told we can talk about this all right I found an article about my old boss I told you you're right about about his behavior yeah lost the company yeah right they're done yeah only a matter of time yeah yeah yeah yeah any you can't abuse people no you can't you can't abuse people abuse people and your own health yeah we don't need to go into what that means but yes anyway um anybody watching anything else this week no not really I watched something that I think you might be interested in Matt luk I am interested I don't know I was already interested I like much I didn't think L would have

watched that yeah girls in a way in a way no it's about a serial killer who may or may not be Supernatural uh it stars not that you'd know from the trailer but it stars Nicholas Cage uh and I liked it very much now it's very polarizing and I could see why any criticism you could have of this movie i' be like yep you're you're not wrong it's very slow burn and when they hit the kind of the the notes sometimes it can be a bit too on the nose Okay it didn't bother me MH I liked it I liked the tone I liked the performances and Nick Cave is so [ __ ] over the top Nick Cave right it's Nick Cave dressed as a [ __ ] scarecrow Michael Jackson type dude right as as the villain but

then the the the protagonist is this like uh asberg the FBI agent so imagine clorice styling but she was autistic and barely said anything so it's just she's so straight compared to Nicholas Cage that I really liked it I really really liked it and as soon as I finished you know I I wanted to go look for some reviews and I found some some pretty scathing reviews and like I said I don't disagree I just don't care I really liked it I like everything negative you said I it's not not negative everything you've pointed out I got from the trailers yeah cuz the trailers were like I don't want to say like a little pretentious is not in a bad way it's an art house it's an art house move it's an

art housee horror movie like I know what I'm in for when I watch this there's no yeah so yeah that's why I said there's no way Luke's going to watch this I I can tell from the trailers cuz the trailer tells you [ __ ] all about it show the Nicholas cages in it for starters I could go see it at the movies I'll tell you they don't necessarily really even tell you who he is you know like you but in a good way like he's something and you know what he's involved with but it yeah I'll watch this for sure yeah you should it's very good and it's I don't know if it's on streaming but it was certainly on my streaming so say well I don't think I'll have any issues watching this film I think captain I assume that whenever like streaming quality films come available yeah in

chuga then then that means that they're on stream I saw an article that said it was released to video on demand Borderlands I mean so video on demand and I was like oh okay that's available then yeah that's right that's just how that works um I've got my ticket for alien Romulus hey very oh oh that's how much I was not interested in Long Legs I decided to book my ticket I'm going at I'm not even going to listen to talk about it all right what have you been doing this week Luke you've been playing a game but I haven't really got into very interested to hear haven't got into it meaning you don't quite like it yet or you haven't play yet I haven't played enough of it yet I've basically just got into it but it's I don't know it's mechanics are different it's a bit Str

let's not even say what it is oh that was Outlaws I think once I start now Dan I need to get I need to get into the game a bit more to actually cuz a few I'm trying to do this the whole thing where instead of following the main quest I'm going to trve and do a source side quest stuff but I haven't unlocked the tools I need yet yeah right right well I need to actually progress the main story a little bit of the main quest at least yeah yeah the tutori part yeah sort of ritten off and I've see this sort of outpost I'm going to break in here but I don't have a fusion cutter and I don't even know what that is yet so m i saw an article that said you could finish the game in 15 hours if you wanted to but that wouldn't why would you want the

funnest way to do it yeah yeah yeah yeah and I get that that's a feeling a lot of Ubisoft games like that like if you were just to like audio focus y easily but occasionally you have to level up with a side quest but but the fun part is actually doing the side quests you to finish Assassin's Creed Odyssey in 15 hours a no no no I mean I did FasTrack the ending to that yeah because I was like I want to finish the story before I abandon it like I don't want to yeah sometimes I do that like with the it's like sex like I was taking my time and enjoying it at the St but now I just want to finish Assassin's Creed Origins I definitely did that I was like no no no I've got to finish this because I I am going to get bored eventually like I'm not someone who can stick with the

game did you finish Origins the I finished the story yes I didn't finish everything yeah sure yeah yeah yeah oh yeah I did yeah I'm sure and then listeners if you want to fact check me I got to the bit where the little skull falls in the sand and makes the Assassin's Creed logo and that's where it comes from o that's cool oh that's and you're like that's the origin that's the origin that's the that's the origin they were talking about and I'm pretty sure there's DLC after that but I didn't do that either yes I just did the main story from Assassin's Creed Origins which was good oh DLC for that could be cool I wonder if it's like cuz you know what I really liked about the DLC for Odyssey was a bit more myth mythological

yes and I did some of those I wonder if the DLC 4 origins is a bit mythological one is like kill a mummy by setting it on fire also there was um I don't know if this was before or after that thing that I just mentioned there was a bit where you play as his wife again and wipe out a few more people I did that as well in case there's anybody out there going you didn't finish the game I think I did I think I did um let me check if I finished it wait what hard complete the last main quest no one's willing to take your word for this man yeah that's that's fair enough um friends who've won see now I'm

curious brain fed friends not one yeah yeah the war yeah yeah oh no I I'm not even claiming to have finished there you go I'm probably I'm probably at 44% of that game and someone called Enclave oh yeah gone but not forgotten um anybody played anything else this week I have actually I've played something quite good but it's it's actually what this is oh wait what okay go on so well just just so my I I'm a big fan of Sierra online games of course I'm sure you all are um and I particularly love King's quests yeah right um and my favorite was probably king's quest six this is the one where the wizard zaps away the castle at the start right

and there's an owl no this is the one where that might be five this is one where you're shipwreck yeah I think that's five you're Shipwrecked on the island and all you have is your Royal sign ring to identify yourself and you've got to try to get your kind of King status back okay really like that one but it's a VGA only because it was far enough along that and so for me while it was cool and I played it on like early Windows PC right so it was CD ROM when we used to still use that phrase um and it was very impressive it didn't feel like a king's quest because it wasn't super pixelated like all the early quest was well somebody has spent the last 12 years

doing a Dake and they have rebuilt the entirety of Kings Quest 6 on the king's quest one engine and it is amazing and it's exactly the same though they haven't changed anything but you got to type the commands you can't just point and click anymore oh my God that's it's fantastic whoa someone has a lot of time on their hands it was a passion project wow required some serious passion I'm playing it it's free to download you can play it in scum VM and I'm having a [ __ ] great time with it I'm going to have to try check this out that's amazing what a [ __ ] time burglar that must have been I know right yeah yeah [ __ ] cuz I'm looking at

going you [ __ ] Drew all this like you just sat there with [ __ ] um Deluxe paint and just you know just drew years of production 18 years it took him 18 years to do this Jesus it was still an old game then yes wow but obviously I wasn't the only one who felt that these were too realistic you know with the voice acting and all of that how dare it get good yes that's right we're not used to it being like this well yeah some of them like there's the VGA remake of of king's quest one and there's also a VJ remake of um quest for Glory the first one yes which the original was called so you want to be a hero and they had to change their name because that was a board game um but I played The Originals of those and i' never liked the VGA ones because

it was like I can't play the VGA police Quest that's another one yeah exactly yeah yeah because it doesn't have the like I play it for the Nostalgia like and typing is important to me that's like that's the game so having to think about how you and and I guess it's because we grew up on text adventures and the BBS days and even like the Nintendo 64 nintend 64 64 days yeah oh I didn't say it but yes exactly right all that's a great one yeah um having to think about what to type is so much more engaging than just moving the cursor around until it turns into a from a fist into a uh pointing finger and knowing you can click on it and because there's that period too that's in between which quest for Glory was and also police

Quest two is like that and I think one of the space Quest is too where there's you use the mouse a little bit but you still have to type things yes and I quite like those ones cuz it's kind of like like a hybrid this Quest too is [ __ ] hard that is really difficult it is I always remember the they looked at police quest one and went let's make this way more difficult because there's a bit in police Quest 2 cuz police quest one had that bit of end where if you don't grab the mic the pen mic you can play all the way to the end and then just lose and then that's it and if you didn't save you play the game again now cuz you're [ __ ] yeah Place Quest two has a similar thing I think where if you don't do something by the book earlier on there's a bit I think we have to go

to the airport to like pick to stop somebody and then you didn't you don't get the warrant and it look like oh well game over yeah game over heaps later in the game yeah why didn't I get the warrant you have to play the game better there's a part where you pull over a woman who runs a red light and if you don't book her then they just like [ __ ] ages later you get a call from your captain guy yeah you let off someone didn't you yeah she says oh King Quest 3 has a thing too that if you don't get out and do one part of the quest and then come back to the cuz you're the The Magician's Apprentice if you don't come back into the to the L yeah and that's it you're [ __ ] yeah you had to be good you had to be real those games I love those games but

they were unfair they have that reputation versus the Lucas film ones or Lucas arts ones that were always like that was like was like that was his objective he was like I want it to be as fun as that yeah but without any of the stress don't have to wor if you can't use this item cuz I remember like um yeah not all of them because I was about to uh manic Mansion Maniac Manion man Manion you get stuck yeah you can do if you do something wrong if you microwave something that you're not meant to put in the microwave You've Lost That item yeah yeah you can [ __ ] up any Manion after that they learned and a Zack McCracken I think it's possible to get stuck without money I think if you take too many flights without get progressing but um uh [ __ ] was I say oh Monkey Island

has a joke about it because at towards the end of Monkey Island when you're on Monkey Island and you go up to the big Lookout up on top of the cliff you can walk off the edge and Guy brush like falls down and it comes up with a Sierra style screen that says oh you fell to your death try sorry about that and then he bounces back up and then gar brush goes huh rubber tree yeah and and then you just continue playing very fun what what made it worse about it is wasn't something all the times obvious that you had to do it was something just very minute there's no warning there was nothing to think that you maybe had to do that some of them like in police Quest were in the manual and it was copy protection it was a c copy protection like if you don't do the

walk around of your car at the start of police Quest then it will break down and you die get the night stick out of the door of your car when you go to confront someone yeah it yeah it punishes you for not having read the manual actually king's quest 6 does this too because there's a part where you have to climb up these steps on this cliff and they only appear when you decipher this this sign in this ancient language and that code is in the manual so that's not a it's not a copy prot at the start of the game to play it's just like halfway through the game you're going to need that manual and Jones in the Last Crusade or something like that oh yeah at the start where you um oh what is it he asks you some questions or something if you get wrong he goes oh

well anyway I guess we'll let you play but you can't save your game and it's like brutal yeah I forget what he asks about it's removed in the Gog version cuz no one wants anymore mon had that great match of pirate coffee protection stuff anyway this really irritating one in um yeah it is it really is did you guys ever play time Wars it's from deline the French Studio both yeah not yeah it's about bath water no it's the the studio that did both flashback and another world world but this was before for them time Wars anyway it's a point and click um but it's it's comes up a black and white

go I've got some news about games that we all like uh as we've reported already remedy bought the rights back to control so they could make a sequel and they've now partnered with an aona interactive to produce control to because they needed more money to do what they want to do apparently what they want to do is very ambitious and they need I'm assuming control 2 is going to be Alan Wake 2 level that's seems to be what the implication is Media game within a game yeah we can't fund this on our own what what we want to do and we don't want to get a game publisher who is going to want to make suggestions yes right right right exactly yeah yeah yeah this is

going to be what they want with the exciting full stop yeah and so the the I guess anera is getting out of this is that they have the exclusive movie and TV rides yes which implies they want that to do something which is exciting also very cool yeah yeah yeah I um this is starting to scare me a little bit though are they starting to go too big i b a little bit more than they can chew cuz I know they have could be so I'm still playing it it's so good and I do Wonder yeah if they if you get too much money do you lose that although it seems like like you said D they're being careful give Sam Lake whatever he wants at this point let him fail I don't care eat it up he has a vision clearly and like it's like you said if he if

he's intentionally picked somebody who's not going to come and say h why don't you do this instead yeah or you're not having the money kind of thing then know that they tried Quantum break first but I think was their sort of both game and live action and that wasn't too bad but it didn't do as well as I think they thought and I think part of that was also have not played it I've got it I've also not it wasn't bad great soundtrack it was it was good but then you get I can't imagine it not being good but I just you get up to the part where now we're switching over to like the TV show puls of it and then you have to sit there and watch a 30 minute episode and then you go back to playing the game and I think Al 2 I think they found out the right level of

that [ __ ] love so much with control two cuz control one is a strange game and it's something that you can't pick up and put down you need to play that game because I've attempted twice and I love the story I love the character I love the setting and for some reason I can't finish the damn game if you if you walk away from that game and come back like a month later you don't remember how to get to places don't remember what the game's about it's yeah it is amazed too that what is the oldest house such a cool concept and like you can only see the building once they've decided you can work there and F it's just so cool and mysterious and I have to play that next henway 2 is great I'm at Valhalla

nursing home now oh yeah oh yeah yeah cool yeah it's just not stopped being good no so I just I keep telling you week after week it just keeps escalating in how good it is yeah okay I [ __ ] love those [ __ ] I know that well I don't know anything I suppose and I'm not I won't say storyline I'll just say the um the the the coffee land coffee World guys yeah the two brothers yeah those [ __ ] TV commercials are so good you get a an achieve if you watch all of the commercials they're just they're exactly the perfect like bad acting like it it's just it's spot on MH like bad performance not like it doesn't feel like put on bad performance even it's like feels very authentically like it feels like an that you seing as like cable

television yeah it helps too the same guy right brothers are the same guy one of them's just got a beard on or am I thought never that yeah I don't know I played it twice didn't it's not important even if that is the case I mean one of them is wearing a fake beard whether or not it is the same as it is the same ACC yeah I guess it must be because they're twins brothers yes but it helps that they're finish as well because obviously like finish remed is a finished Studio yeah yeah so that town what is it watery is a finish expat Community but and and then Arty the janitor is finished but also Thomas Zayn is apparently finished and the film have you gotten up to the part where in

the cinema yet and you can literally just stand there and watch a 30 I've heard of it I've heard of it watch it online too um all in finish and it really it just lets Sam Lake just be himself and just put yeah stuff he knows cuz saga's backstories their family from Sweden and I think like Tor and Odin their background is Swedish although I think they're Americans anyway whatever it's just yeah you're right it's got a lot of the Nordic more way more Nordic stuff than even Alan Wake one had had a little bit had the old but now it's just like all through it it's great yeah everyone's got a [ __ ] sauna yeah yeah love it when I was in Norway um right up north and this like ATL that's like separate from from Norway um called spitsbergen um people

have illegal saers cuz one one guy's like I'll show you my my SAA but just like I'm not supposed to have it so just like I'm like all right they're that important to them they are they're [ __ ] important why just building permit thing I think it's that I don't think it's illegal to have a sorder it's just that people are building sers without any without any code I've never been in a sauna neither have I never I can't imagine they being Pleasant either just but this guy's going to me he's like you take all your clothes off you sit there you drink a beer come in sometime I'm like absolutely not mate and then you go out into the snow yeah you jump in you go back in the SAA yeah maybe it's

good maybe I've been watching something uh this week I forget what prompted me to start but I've been watching the last like five nights I've been watching Lord of the Rings extended Cuts back to back sure [ __ ] the The Return of the King is 4 hours long um I've never watched them this way um it's pretty interesting yeah just like fully backto back yeah um Return of the so Fellowship of the Ring is just a hands down great movie it's it's just so good then you start this the two towers and you're like oh I'm already kind of bombarded with information here um in a way that's not necessarily enjoyable I find the key though to enjoying these

movies is to try and understand the entire law but the more questions answered the more questions are um are are revealed you [ __ ] know that the entire time Gandalf is wearing one of the three Elven rings of power oh he's got the fire ring which is why he can do those fiery [ __ ] don't mention it in the movie yeah like what he's saying to you know honestly this Rings quite important gadri have one as well or she did have at some point yeah she it's one of the elves gave one to Gandalf in some other book or one The Unfinished Tales or something I mean Nate's going to write in and explain it to me I'm sure but um he will yeah thank please do um but yeah just like it's so every time you think

and then I'm I've got Wikipedia open and I'm going like okay okay who okay right but then there's there's a backstory for that too good stuff though good movies that was a pretty question this week coincidentally what what three good movies it was the the the final round was all about sequels and it was a question about Highlander Highlander 2 and uh some of some other good stuff uh was mostly it said bad sequels and I was like I don't know what you're talking about mate Hollander to what it's a great movie I think is a bad sequ yeah uh great great movie mate you just need to know the backstory and you'll enjoy it even more um yeah yeah that's right but the the the final

question was like a three-part thing it was like uh sequels are are you know notoriously not good but uh in the case of this Trilogy the they all went on to win [ __ ] how Academy Awards and yada yada yada and it's like oh okay it's a lot of the Rings it's funny because you know like the special effects that they used were so like at the Forefront of like some of them very simple though yeah but the funny thing is now they they're quite dated but it's dated in a Charming way but also all the force perspective and stuff is in the first movie that's like that's the when you first see them and it looks really real cuz it is real he's just in the foreground talking from the second movie onwards it's like no they're just on a blue screen CGI yeah yeah well they're

focusing on Gollum but Golem's still spectacular 20 years later like at one point I was like oh man that's such a subtle face expression on go I'm like he's not an actor right but like with a thing on but I remember thinking uh watching or maybe it's on the behind the scenes thing um because with the computers at the time to render the scenes with Golem they basically set it up and you go oh that's probably right I'll come back tomorrow and check oh yeah and then you just leave it going overnight you comeu [ __ ] up that's on a render Farm just rendering out all that yeah and they invented that was it Max or whatever it was the thing that rendered the battle at the start and it was all proceed massive that's the word procedurally

generated where they just like programmed a bunch of elves and a bunch of Orcs And they fight and then they all went home and had a beer came back the next day and there the movie was made yeah except that they found anomalies too like they found that she had an orc that was really powerful an elf that wasn't that powerful the elf had run away and they were like we didn't expect that to happen yeah but I remember the greatest marketing of all was that cuz the movies came out on boxing day three years in a row that's right no did the DVD of the previous movie ah so you could only buy that one year year later and you were [ __ ] psyched again because there was a new one it was so that is why we have three Hobbit movies I guarantee yeah cuz they also

remembered that that was successful yeah but it didn't work no it was just didn't work I don't understand what happened to him money no too much maybe I don't know I'm going to go back after this and maybe watch them but we'll see I remember I still I'm still been watching something and I remember I wanted to mention it because I I know you started watching it the Mr Robot yeah mhm uh I don't know how far you got but there was a point particularly in season 2 where I questioned do I want to continue watching this and I I was like looked I I think I've said this already looked online people said yeah season 2 it dips quite a lot keep watching but it comes back and I was like okay let's see I started season 3 and I was like they're

still going with this stuff is just not as interesting to me but then it it seems like they must have cottoned onto the fact that this wasn't what people wanted the first two episodes of season 3 kind of okay we got to wrap this stuff up we've committed to this so we've got to deal with it and then now it's [ __ ] sick like it's gotten really good correct they don't just abandon the story line they just finish that off it's fine they pay they pay it off but then they go okay let's bring it back in this Direction that's that's obviously what people are more interested in So yeah so I like I don't know if you've stopped watching it you haven't mentioned it in a while I have stopped watching it but not necessarily on

purpose and I yeah I watched I didn't get compl yeah I've been I've been sidetracked I'll get back onto it yeah I just wanted to mention that if if you do watch it and you get a bit bored of season 2 if if you can be bothered it is worth it I think you know what I'm bored of I've stopped the boys I'm bored of that oh have you okay yeah okay doing it all at once I'll give myself a chance to miss it I'll get my car from [ __ ] Lord of the Rings now you know point he's a riter of Rohan you could watch uh ridic if you want some more I probably won't I might watch is it pitch black pitch dark Perfect Dark pitch pitch black was the first one that's quite good yeah that in fact that's that's they very good third

one I think is quite good there's one that's quite good later on I don't even know how many there are they just kept kind of secretly not secretly but they just kept releasing them to not much fanfare don't tell anyone you know V diesel wasn't keeping it quiet but they were like sh quiet yeah he's a [ __ ] weird dude yes he is he likes video games oh does he what do he like I can imagine is he a pod player that's what I think no he plays a lot of D andd so I imagine he might me into Vin Diesel yeah yeah he's a big D and D player shocked actually there's a like on the official Dungeons and Dragons YouTube channel he played a game with I don't know if he DMD I think he played I think he had his own game studio for a while as well oh yeah could

be wrong wow yeah there you go diesel game studio um speaking of DN D will weaton is in something new what was that is he yeah and it looked it looked go looked go looked good he's he's not a great actor no offense will but like I will not stand idly by and have you critici you want to watch any Star Trek the Next Generation that's that's on you mate no well he wasn't great in that but he was a kid so you forgave him but and he popped up in the end of Picard season 2 and I was like ah he's not good is he like because he just always talks like this he's very he enunciate and it's just very like no like that's just how he speaks but it's just very like he

just it's just will weaton like I can't detach him from I know I just know it's him like it's distracting you know sure um but yes I did find it Vin Diesel found a game shter which has a focus on creating games featuring Vin Diesel diesel well to be fair if we spaned a game Studio it would be games that focus on featuring us yeah yeah and like a yeah that features games featuring him wish we could have made Alan Wake too with us in it yeah yeah you know different life guys could have been us Luke could have been those finished twins yeah yeah

yeah yeah one one of us could be Alan the other one could be Saga just depending on who wants to wear the knitted jumper yeah you could be Allan look you got the jackets my favorite character in Alan Wake 2 is alen's wife and you've I don't know how much you've encountered her you don't play as her I've only seen a recording of her on the TV you only ever do there's lots more and like really factors in you know and she's like important you know in the first game as as well she it's arguably the first games about her is Barry in this game Barry is not physically in it okay but he mentioned I like Barry I mean I hated Barry until I didn't hate him anymore in

the first game and then I then I for some reason yeah you got you're trying to find him in that trailer he's like I don't want to find him [ __ ] this let him go yeah I want to find Rose but by the time nightingale's there and you're doing all that [ __ ] with the yeah then you're like yeah Barry come on let's do through the woods and all that yeah yeah and then Barry's your Ro when you're doing that big concert at the end that's right oh yeah was yeah were they all attacking you you mean at the yeah yeah at the all gods of asard mind you if you [ __ ] that up and you have to start that again it's very tedious incredibly tedious I did I did have to do that yeah cuz it wasn't EAS the first time that starts you're like this is so good and then you're like I'm doing this I have

to start again from the start I think there's a midpoint or a or something cuz I remember yeah yeah yeah something changes and oh I played the remaster too maybe they fixed that for the remaster that could be why possible yeah yeah cuz I remember thinking there was one time I had to restart and I was like [ __ ] I don't want to do this again and then I died again and then it loaded from before then I was like okay kind of sort of an equivalent of that in Alan way too okay that you'll get to fairly shortly if you're in the old folks home now I am in the old folks home well depending on how he's playing it that's true yeah I could be true diving into the mop bucket so to speak I mean literally that's what I do and if you want to hear
