one thing called AIDs that is making them all die what makes the Foo Fighters experts in that like what no no no I mean giving them the benefit of is a very good question mat what makes them think that like what is their evidence or what is the lack of evidence is just a lack of evidence honestly if you Google Foo Fighters AIDS the HIV denialism Wikipedia is the first link that comes up that's interesting yeah all right I I want to learn more about that but I won't do it now because that would be boring for the listeners but I will learn more about that maybe we can discuss next week did we talk about it before I'm sure I've heard someone say that before but I don't know that I've ever questioned anybody about it so

have a feeling there might be some spoilers it's going to be some spoilers um I don't know that it matters that much there's one thing that's yeah there's one thing that's quite a big spoiler I guess but I'm we're probably going to mention so just be aware of that um I liked Spectre as I was watching it um and and I still do I still I still enjoyed it but oh man it falls apart a lot when you actually kind of think about it the plot in particular uh falls apart a lot and and even as I as I was watching it there were things that I went oh that's that's weird it there were some odd choices in it for sure I it overall I think it felt
like they were phoning it in and they threw a bunch of ideas that they had like this is what should be in a Bond film this is something we want to get done before Daniel Craig finishes this is you know like Sam Mendes wants he's like oh I want I want to sort this plot hole out this this loose end out throw them all to a hat and then you know what let's just put them all in [ __ ] it MH so the thing that I didn't enjoy about it cuz I'm with you Mt I ree 100% I think it's a fine movie uh with some problems yeah but the thing with the James Bond movie is they're all so similar that fairly few of them contribute anything
startlingly new to begin with right sure some did uh Cina Royale did do you know what I mean yeah like yeah it it completely changed it and then there was some good ones and some bad ones after that but you can't even really judge a good whether a James Bond movie is a good movie or not you just kind of have to say is it a good James Bond movie sure and is Spector a good James Bond movie I don't know because you have a pretty cool opening scene that then turned a bit ridiculous yeah like Pierce brosman ridiculous can I say one of the the the very first okay the first thing that I thought that's a bit odd like it's cuz it was just it a thing that happened because it's a movie not there was no
reason for it was the very opening shot of this of the film he's waiting in the street in in Mexico and it's the Day of the Dead he's got a he's with a woman right and he's clearly he he's some guy in a white suit walks past and since the camera follows him we assume that's who Bon's waiting for so they follow him and he heads off in in up a street and so Bond and the girl head into the hotel and they go up to presumably what is her room right and she starts going oh let's go like get starting to get a gear off and lies down on the bed and then he's like oh I'm off and he's got his he's got his Day of the Dead suit off and he's in a suit and he's out the window right cuz he was he was just trying to get out onto the roof I'm like why I bother with all that yeah like what do he what did
he need her for anyway and how did he know that the guy was going to be going to a building opposite her [ __ ] hotel and if he did know that why didn't he just book a room in that hotel that's what I mean it was exactly it was it was just like it was a neat little scene but but it was kind of like it didn't make any sense really and and I was like oh okay no that was that was cool but I'm worried now because that was really only in there because it was cool it was not I mean you can say that about a lot of things in this movie yeah and then the other thing that that made me like in that end sequence is you know when he's chasing the guy through the streets and that kind of thing and they get to the really crowded place and then the helicopter comes down right yeah jumps
into the helicopter and he's fighting with the guy and then I understand that the pilot was probably a bad guy but but why did they start to fight he the pilot hadn't even done anything and Bon just starts laying into him and the helicopter starts going HeyWire and I was like not only you are to harm you but he is piloting the helicopter that you're currently in yeah and and if he crushes he's going to crash into thousands and thousands of people that's right like it's just I it just made me go what is you you know what I'll buy that I'll buy all that yeah yeah I still like I said I still enjoyed it what I didn't buy was the oh by the way every little plot point from every other Daniel Craig James Bond movie is all linked even the ones that have nothing to do with each
other yeah to something in this movie and I can understand why somebody might think that's a good idea George Lucas certainly thought it was a good idea when he made everyone in the universe related to to each other but it did not work for this it was too much of a a DSX MAA yeah like deaths that were he somebody claims responsibility for deaths that were almost like unpredictable yeah certain deaths were unpredictable certain deaths were like like for well are we going to talk about spells fine I I think ves's death right couldn't have been predicted right the only reason she died was because she wanted to at the end of
Casino Royale she wouldn't open the gate he could have saved her but she didn't want to be saved right therefore you can't really claim responsibility for that sorry buddy you you didn't you didn't kill that was not on you and again the end of Skyfall right yeah and like again sorry spoilers M right yeah uh what's his name the guy from uh No Country for all men kills him right he killed her not not the guy in this movie right not under anyone's instruction as far as I'm aware right like unless I'm remembering that movie a bit wrong that was just a a situation that arose right no one orchestrated that to that level and it was personal for him because M had sent him on a mission that he had nearly died in and dissolved half of his face yes so I'm
sure there's probably more examples in that but yeah you're right it did it didn't work for me yeah it was not a good idea and also if it was they took the plot of Austin Powers where Dr Evil and Austin Powers are brothers all like babies together yeah and then that that gets a look in as well and I was like f serious and and a that was stupid but B yeah that is so funny now that James Bond is mimicking the parody of I know I was like are you [ __ ] serious that you going cuz I thought right they kind of hinted that that's where it was going to go that the big bad was going to be like his his little brother or or related to him in some way and I was like no they're just setting that up to fool you there's no way they do that they wouldn't make it so stupid as that
and then it's like no no he's not his brother but but his parents did adopt him so they're they're kind of you know Step Brothers and I was like you [ __ ] serious you expect me to buy that terrible like ridiculous and the other thing that they stole from was the second Star Trek movie where do you have a character that in all the leadup to this film everyone says oh is he blow does uh does Hans what's his name the German the [ __ ] cannot remember nebor comes by who is Hans grber yeah it's not what's his name I've said Hans it's not Hans the [ __ ] dude from uh anyway the German guy and everyone's like oh I bet he's blow Feld and the F all like no he's not blow Feld and they're like oh it seems like he is blow Feld no he's
not he's not he's not and in the movie okay he's not he's not he's not he's not he's got a different name three quarters of the way in big twist I'm blofeld oh okay yeah I changed my name yeah yeah I know and then also this is one thing that really didn't make a lot of sense right and and again it wasn't until afterwards because because Jenna didn't come with me because she doesn't like the Daniel Craig Bond films so she went to a premiere of um or previous screening of the new Hunger Games I haven't seen any of them so I wasn't interested so I went to see this instead right and I was explaining the plot to her afterwards cuz she said I'm not going to watch cuz I don't like Daniel Craig but tell me what it's about so I started explaining things and then she
was like wait a minute that doesn't make any sense and I'm like oh yeah you're right it doesn't but one of the things is right when Bond and the girl are on the train right on the way into Africa to go the girl just suddenly Falls mad with him yeah and he with her yeah exactly um and then well he kind of rapes Monica Belushi as well in this by the way he no he rapes her and then she's just not heard from again yeah um so on the train on the way to Africa right and then the guy the Assassin that blow Feld is hired or or told to kill him rocks up they have a big fight in the train right and this guy's trying to kill them and they only they only like Bond literally only just survives because of you know because stuff happens mhm and then they get there and
blow feld's like I've been waiting for you I'm like no you tried to kill him like you weren't waiting for him you you would you made to a lot of effort to to kill him like it was it didn't make any sense like that he wanted him to to go there and also why does he have a machine right that can drill people's brains to make them forget things but he doesn't know how to use it like what that went nowhere no absolutely that whole scene went nowhere so much that went nowhere that he he did all this stuff with this machine right and it had no effect and they they made a point of pointing out that it had no effect cuz he was sniping those guys yeah when the said I was going to throw off your motor functions and stuff you won't be able to walk and then you'll
forget things and then straight away he was like no I remember everything and then he just started popping off bad guys in the distance on him yeah yeah had no effect like I don't know man like I said I enjoyed it when I was watching it but now when I think about it I'm like doesn't make any sense yeah but here's the thing with the James Bond movie I find it hard to know at the time if it's a good one or not because the way I judge a good James Bond movie is how fondly I remember it down the track right you know like I look back and there's a certain few that stand out as the better ones right yeah yeah agree so maybe this will become one I don't know it probably won't see I I know Skyfall I I enjoyed Skyfall as well right but when I think
about Skyfall now I can only really I think about how long it was before anything else yeah yeah because it actually felt like a movie with another another half movie at the end yeah it ended and then they went to Scotland for another little bit so whenever I think about skyall and cuz like I said um Jenna doesn't like the Daniel Craig ones and then I've we we watched Cina Royale and she was like nah didn't do it for me she likes the kind of goofy Roger Moore kind of ones well this one was [ __ ] goofy yeah but yeah but I've explained the plot and anyway she's not interested yeah but when I was like oh everyone loves Skyfall and then I was thinking about it and then one of her complaints is they're too long and like it's just not and I was like you
know forget it Sky the old ones are long too though oh yeah they were fun I like the old ones oh I got to say this though my favorite thing about this yeah movie was the the title sequence yeah it was [ __ ] amazing it was terrific wasn't it it might be my favorite cuz I really love the Casino Royale one but this one might I don't know this one might be better I really liked it see I actually like the Quantum of Solace opening even though that's arguably wor film it's it's desert it's all sand yeah right and they filmed it with live sand I've seen it behind the scenes yeah all right I'll have to watch that again too yeah cuz this one's all like CU it's Spectre and it's like an octopus with it tentacles and everything there's like it's all tentacles and like
when he fires the gun it's all like ink like an octopus spinning oh man it was beautiful still naked chicks though oh yeah of course yeah yeah yeah yeah but Bond you think we are from a female Bond oh you know what's going to happen well I mean the uh the Uproar that happened throughout the world when they suggested they might have a black Bond if that's any indication I don't know if we'll see a female Bond I mean what's what's more offensive having a a a woman Bond or having a black Bond I just I know we've talked about this stuff before Rob why do we need a female Bond why can't we have a different character who's a woman like why do they have to turn male characters into female characters I don't understand I guess
because established franchises and cuz you know they only make sequels and stuff that's the only reason I can think of yeah like well I mean there's a female Ghostbusters coming out see that's what I mean what well I don't know it just weirds me out where everyone's like oh why can't there be a female Bond like because James Bond's a man yeah but then but then they're like oh yeah but but that's the same as rash Limar saying why is he black he's white everyone knows it yeah well I mean I kind of that is true as well I suppose like I Reon wear two bonds away or maybe no no I mean one Bond one more Bond and then a female Bond it kind of a female Bond it doesn't you oh wait so you don't mean two films away you mean two actors away J bonds
yep right there'll be one more James Bond and then the next person Jan Bond Bond will be yeah Jane Bond well well I mean they went with a I don't care whatever I just think it's weird yeah the female M was great yeah yeah so look I don't know yeah I know but the stuff about Bon's character that they just have to change the character it would be a different character you know they're going to get rid of that even they're going to get rid of him his whole womanizing thing anyway but that's the thing right that is bond that is James Bond like he's he's that's next to go he's like a misogynist womanizer like if you make him a woman it doesn't work no they don't make him a woman that part of his character is going to slowly disappear yeah okay but then yeah

actually um the Wednesday night like it's midnight and then I have Thursday and Friday and then I'm on leave but I just I can't take any more leave I don't have any more leave to take yeah so it's just not going to happen but I mean you know it's not just going to be me I assume there'll be others in the office who went so yeah see the problem isn't going to be it's going to be when the movie finishes you're going to be on that high yeah I know whether it's good or bad so it's even when you get home home you're going to have trouble getting to sleep so true we should do a podcast as soon as it's finished a yeah but then we got to wait 2 hours for Dan you can't be in this so no hold on hold on if you guys can wait 3 hours or let's say three and a half
hours to give me time to get home first we could do it yeah could make that happen all right if we just we might be able to because if we just get up early oh yeah okay I see what you mean yeah cuz by the time I get home it'll yeah be 3:00 a.m. I can sleep for two hours and then get up yeah all right we'll see all right we we might do that we'll see all not promising anything let's let's not lock this in yet well I mean whatever they don't believe us when we promise things anyway so yeah that's true they've learned why not why not promise while we're on Star Wars that'll segue nicely into a game that uh I think we've all been playing now been playing quite a lot of yeah Return of the Jedi for the amig yeah yeah that was a great game yeah it really was what do you mean was that is
a great game it's not it's actually a terrible game with just three levels to repeat but it is fun what was it there was the speeder bikes and then the Millennium Falcon speeder bikes then atst ah yep then Millennium FAL but as we've discussed before Speeder Bike your layer atst you're chewy you are and um Millennium Falcon you're actually l so at no point do you play like Luke or Han or any of the characters You' actually want to play yeah look let's not even talk about that let's just talk about Battlefront yep um so I probably got about good 18 hours in that game now still enjoying it I only up today so I've only played at a very small amount what level are you Luke 25 really [ __ ] hell I'm like level seven maybe I I did have an extra week
to play it so oh that's true well i' I've been playing Witcher still so I'll tell you what though I think my favorite part of the Star Wars Battlefront game is the um The Fighter Squadron level oh I love that yeah I love flying around in them yeah it's great I like the Speeder bike training you don't get to ride a Speeder bike that much from what I've seen um yeah the only times I've tried to do it in multiplayer it hasn't ended well yeah but that that training level was fun cuz it's super fast it's really fun but man did I hit a lot of trees yeah and uh what else oh man it's just it's just good fun it's a good game yeah it is it's really fun can't wait till we all play it together yes yeah which we have to do it sometime this week have you guys been playing Solo or have you
guys been playing Co-op um I've just been playing by myself just online so oh right yeah I've been doing a combo I've been playing you know the training missions and then playing with j and played with Simon a bit the other day yep yeah so bit of bit of everything yeah nice yeah like with some of the achievements I was like one of the first people to get them which I quite like that doesn't surprise me like a few of them I was like the ninth person to unlock I know it means nothing but I'm proud that well in the words of my father if ninth is the best you can do then I guess that's the best you can do why not oh I'm trying to say say you think i' was higher then well don't get me wrong Luke I'm impressed it's just that my dad is not
going to be proud of you ah so I um have been playing Fallout 4 that's what I've been doing I need to get back into that I played it a little bit so Matt you played a little bit but now you you've gone back to Witcher yeah I played it a little bit more a traitor played a little bit more but not a huge amount I'll be honest it's not I'm not finding it that compelling I'm afraid wow I L back in a little bit today and I did some stuff but I've only got like two things in my quest log and neither of them are that interesting okay so yeah right well I realized um with our conversation that I had skipped out some of the really early missions that they kind of assume you're going to do early on because you know there's a certain order to things at the start before you
kind of Branch off so I had somehow neglected to go back to that town and help them build all their [ __ ] oh okay uh yes cuz I was remember which is really just to teach you how to do a whole bunch of stuff that I hadn't been doing cuz I hadn't learned how to do it in those early missions I don't think you have to do any of that [ __ ] though do you no well you don't have to but I mean you could build yourself a house if you want and that [Music] touchdown no know I got that for um catching a nuke you caught a nuke I assume that's what it was for did you cat it in the face yeah I went into um there's a mission at the start you know when you join the Minutemen you help the
Minutemen guy and then you go down to clear out the um the car factory yep mhm y so I went down to do that and when you get to that City there's a guy up on a walkway with a with a Min nuke oh like a fat man sorry and he he fires min at you and then I got hit with one and it said touchdown the way I got it is I had a super a suicidal super mute run at me holding a mini nuke in his arms and took us both out son of a [ __ ] you guys there two ways to get it yep but I have found this one I am dying a lot more than I did in the last one me too 100% a lot more yeah yeah it's much more challenging on that level which I think with the dying more is taking me out of it more yeah yeah yeah I know what you mean cuz it takes longer to do things you got to wait for it to load and start
again before like I don't I think I was playing more careful and Fall Out Three in New Vegas because I didn't want to die but because I'm dying so easily don't want to live because you could die so easily and that is part of it I'm just not as worried anymore so I a bit more yeah you're probably right actually cuz you're like well I'll probably get killed running in here anyway so as well just [ __ ] run in yeah yeah which I think and the way I play my characters I used to do stealth yeah yeah I was always going for the sneak attacks and to just pick pocket there were even some levels where I used to just sneak past everyone do the mission and leave now it's just I might as well just shoot him in the head yeah I don't know I'm I'll definitely play it more I'm just like
said it hasn't grabbed me yet I haven't got I don't even I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing really I've just been told go clean out this place go clean out that place go yeah I gotta go to Diamond City I know that I haven't done that yet oh you haven't even made a diamond City yet no no that's where most of my [ __ ] comes from now yeah okay maybe I should just get down there I made it to Diamond City I did a few missions there and now I've decided no more missions I'm starting at the top of the map and I'm going to discover everything yeah oh my God that sounds like a painful way to play it's the way I'm playing it it's my game you can't tell me what to do yeah but see now you're going to discover all the places before you're sent there on missions and
everything's going to be backwards there're going to be so missions where they're going to go can you please clear this place out or can you go pick this up and I'm going to go yeah that place is cleared out yeah there's that yeah there's that like oh I sold that to something else yeah I already Avenged that death yeah that's cool I've freed those people yeah but that'll be my game the thing I have with the Witcher at the moment is I'm trying to I just want to get through the story right so I'm I'm like okay let's just go do this so I go to a place because I want to continue the main story and when I get there all the people are like ah you've come to kill the Griffin have you and I'm like no but I guess I will while I'm here and then I get sucked into these [ __ ]
side quests again have you started playing the um DLC for it yet no of course not yeah I thought that there are so many games I need to play now and I don't have time and I don't have any more I haven't don't think I've got any more holidays this year yeah I just brought like six games for the Xbox yesterday I know why I didn't buy six yesterday oh from the sale the sale yeah what' you buy what' you buy um I brought the Metro games yeah I thought about that that were 23 bucks um ol ol OE oi oi oi love in a dangerous SpaceTime okay Nova 111 okay um I've never even heard of
those and some other games I can't remember but they were really cheap and I needed them are there indie games on there I didn't see maybe there's about 20 games I saw all the big ones I saw the [ __ ] GTA 5 they still want 60 bucks for they're still making a lot of money off that so why would they lower the price on it I don't know cuz I want to pay less I bought rise of the Tomb Raider this week too but I haven't played it yet yeah I played the start of it it's in line behind Fallout and Battlefront yeah apparently it's really great that's another one the Escape ists right oh I have that what is that sort of like a little top down 8bit game where you escape a prison or something oh okay I don't know it was cheap all right then it'll give me
achievements oh I finished um I don't know do you guys like The Telltale Games yeah yeah cuz I just finished the Game of Thrones one oh oh right the whole thing yeah the last episode came out this week my God that last episode is violent oh really really yep I really recommend playing that game I don't know anything about Game of Thrones and they kept bringing up people in it and they mentioning I'll Beware of the Lannisters and I'm who the hell are these people so but I still enjoyed the game I mean that's kind of like what it's like watching the season for the first time anyway yeah the [ __ ] was that there's a lot of people in that show yeah I so I have no idea but it's I really enjoyed it so and they've announced that they're making another
season of it so I'm really looking forward to that but I really recomend giving that to try is it the same as The Walking Dead games in that though where it's it's not a game it's an interactive story yeah which the best way to play them is to wait till all the episodes are out and play them all once I'm probably not going to just cuz I don't have time I have the whole season of tales of the Borderlands I haven't even touched it I in fact until you mention the Game of Thrones I forgot that I had that oh yeah I finished that as well that's also great I finished all the TT games now really I even got the Minecraft one there's a Minecraft one there's a Minecraft one it's only got two episodes out so far it's I don't know I don't
think I like the Minecraft one as much Minecraft story mode that's it's called that's the one what is it about may I ask you play a character called Jesse right um this is one you actually can pick whether you want to be a male or female character so of course you're female yes y y um and then it starts off that uh this guy comes to town and releases this big monster that's destroying the world and you have to save the world from the big monster do you build things not really there are things where you will build things but building things just consists of pressing a right quickly why is this a Minecraft game because this would be Microsoft own it and I reckon they've gone to Telltale
and gone can you make us a game we want more money yeah can we print some money please we just found out that where we brought the rights to a game which everyone already owns so we can't sell it anymore yeah yeah well I'm probably not going to play that either okay there are lots of good game out there that yeah look battle even I'm running out of time to play all of them now F fall out I almost said fall in because that's what's in the spreadsheet yeah fall in yeah well I'm going to I'm going to try and get through the Witcher and I'm going to alternate between the other two while I can while I do mhm mhm there too many games man I don't even get time I have Christmas this year I do but we're GNA have Jenna's family here so and we're going to see Star Wars at IMAX
that's they can come with us I don't care I want to see the IMX did you guys buy 3D or 2D um I got we didn't have the option so you didn't have the option so you seeing 3D or you seen 2D yeah yeah yeah yeah 3D midnight I've got 2D yeah me too really I will see it in 3D no no way [ __ ] done with 3D I didn't have the option yeah we we didn't have the option out a few Cinemas we we chose based on where we could see it in good oldfashioned 2D CRA every single theater has Star Wars and they've got they even got 3:00 a.m showings see we waited quite late the trailer would had come out and people had already booked everything up and then people my friends saying he was going to book um parata but then param was completely sold out and so he was looking around and he's
like the only one that's left I've got tickets on hold at Castle Hill I have to pull the trigger now if we want them so like just do it just do it and then yeah yeah so well it's the same movie yeah except in a more annoying format yeah I mean I don't know do they shoot it in 3D maybe it's meant to be seen in 3D no I well I don't think so no I don't think so either I think they shot in IMAX huh you know what they probably shot it on film just just because yeah cuz it's JJ Star Wars force awakens it was filmed on actual film stock yeah there you go mostly in 35 mil with some scenes in 65 mil IMAX they really are just giving the middle finger to George aren't they yeah [ __ ] you George all for this week thank you for listening and we hope you
