is his quote [ __ ] you show us your Star Wars reboot no no he was actually I mean he said what I assumed he would say and that's that um I knew that whatever we did there would be a group of people and I was hoping and praying that it would be smaller than not that would take issue with any number of things but I knew we weren't making the movie for any other reason than we believed that it could be something meaningful and special and entertaining and worthy of people's time I can understand that someone might say oh it's a complete ripoff what was important for me was introducing brand new characters using relationships that were embracing the history that we know to tell a story that's new to go backwards to go

forwards so they made it the same because if they changed too much everyone would have had a big cry about it Y correct so they've done that before it's called the prequels and nobody liked it yeah so basically they they they made it the same as the others on purpose so they could introduce the new people and now they can do something a bit different now that you're already climatized to it and I think the way they did it was great yeah completely agree yeah it's smarter the more I think about it I think the smar it is like yeah there was another Death Star but I means you know it's familiar like you didn't you death there was another Death Star in this more than I buy there's another Death Star in Return of the Jedi I think that death star repre was

the trailer Finn was in the trailer Ray's in the trailer like just they're in the trailer it's fine you can create a little character of them there's no problem there I know because it doesn't make sense either because it's not a spoiler because Finn's not dressed he hasn't got a lightsaber either he's just he's just Finn with a gun like they could have justay with Ray had this staff so you should have it with the staff that's not a spoiler so I think you know it's just it's probably not as as you know evil and and devious as people think it is it's I'm sure it's just a case of they're marketing Star Wars to boys so they made toys of the boys I don't even think it's that I think they just actually honestly thought that this might have been a

spoiler and they were trying to do the right thing and now they've thought of it and gone thought you said that was suspicious I still think that it's not suspicious I think it's ridiculous excuse I think way too much thought I think uh they you know they had Star Wars Monopoly in the past it' had a certain amount of characters they've gone okay we need to add someone from the new movie what's the lead guy in the new movie okay none of us have seen it yet but it seems to be this thin guy okay put him in there it's done yeah they all patted this patted each other on the back and went home yeah probably true yeah cuz would they have really would Disney have really given absolutely absolutely not yeah yeah good point so uh so I wonder about the toys

as well like you know why isn't Ray in the Millennium Falcon in the toys well probably they just didn't bother to tell him that she should be oh it's a closed shop let me tell you I know people that work there and they didn't know anything about it interesting yeah but uh they've caved in they're going to redo it they're adding her yeah good and uh yeah so everyone has to go buy a new copy but you know what it's going to mean that if you have the copy without her that's going to be worth a lot of money Keep It In The Box Bo no none of that stuff's worth any money if they do a recall on something it will be yeah if there's only like you know only the first five billion have [Laughter] Finn yeah it's I don't know people need to stop trying to be collectors now and

go out and buy these stuff and keep it in the Box it's worthless everyone everyone's got the same idea go out buy it and enjoy it can I just say I'm glad the stuff I buy and keep in a box will be worth money with all this with all that said right I am glad that they didn't have any marketing materials that showed Ry with a lightsaber yeah because AG that was a nice uh it was nice to experience that y kind of her her story so you know if if that really is the reason then I I think maybe that's fine yeah now put her in there cuz she's awesome yeah that's right yeah if they were really really really sorry about it they would let they would send everyone a little yeah maybe they will be nice yeah yeah just

everyone who brought it show got the game here's your little rate yeah it should be that no I agree send in your proof of purchase and we'll send back the missing piece yeah yep not have to buy another copy of the game to get R cuz here's the thing though we do talk about spoilers but quite honestly right I I had toys from Return of the Jedi before i' scene Return of the Jedi because I was a big fan of Star Wars and I was a big fan of Empire Strikes Back and when I knew there was a new movie coming out I was definitely going to go and see it and the toys came out as they always do about a month before the movie came out and the fact that I bought for example an Ewok toy is the only reason I knew they were called

Ewoks because they don't say it in the movie no did you know I I was looking in um I was in a Bookshop on the weekend and I looked in the you know the kind of uh the visual companion to the force awakens I was looking through it it's got some cool stuff on on why kylo Ren's lightsaber is the way it is and all that kind of stuff it's pretty interesting it seems like there's actually a lot of thought that went into it and one of the things I noticed uh while skimming through that and some other book is that wickets name m um this is actually this would have been a different book this would have been in the complete Star Wars campanion or something anyway I flick through a bunch uh on the toys Wick's name is Wicket W Warwick

yep I didn't know that oh I need that why is he got a surname and a middle initial yeah and all the rest of them are just you know furbot or whatever they called L yeah furb and why is he also named after the person who's inside him I think that might have a bit to do with it I think it's just because no of course it is a complete coincidence yeah I just mean it doesn't make any sense that the rest of them don't well mean as we're discovering a lot of stuff was with Star Wars where George was around it's just [ __ ] arbitrary yeah um do you guys want uh horrifically horrible horror Omnibus we haven't had one yeah we do we do now I don't know I don't think I have

now have zero Clues because there cuz nothing else relates to that title okay I'll give you another clue it's a a horror film that was made in New Zealand oh no no I mean if you've seen New Zealand horror films you can probably start throwing stuff at me is it a comedy and does it star those guys that made the uh Flight of the Concords it does not star them it is it is a horror comedy think about some other horror comedies from New Zealand some older ones perhaps oh some very old ones mhm some uh Peter Jackson era ones y we're in the same ballpark here right interesting Mordor [Laughter] no oh can I just segue for a quick sec you know um it's not bad taste what's the one that came after bad taste um

brain dead brain dead it's one of those two I forget which one but on the cover it's um uh the alien doing the um like the two fingers up yours symbol that's uh it's bad taste that's bad taste yeah to the first one yeah um I was listening to another podcast where they were talking about that and because they don't do that symbol in America they only do the middle finger up um they were saying that all through they were kids they didn't know what the number two had significance to these aliens oh they thought it was a sequel yeah maybe I thought that was funny that is funny yeah yeah yeah cuz it's got the yeah it's got the terrible terrible alien on the front that's special effects and that were great y absolutely all right so

schlocky perhaps gory horror comedy yeah yep yep yep yep yep band it's about a band going on tour no it's a black metal band okay Luke um I really got nothing on this one so I'm assuming either the band are murderers or no the band gets murdered or a whole bunch of people are murdered at one of their concerts no no what do you think you know if you were a black metal band what are you what are you what are your songs all about what are you trying to do the music is killing people cuz it's raising the devil very very warmer is there music convincing people to kill

themselves like people often fear heavy metal music is no imagine imagine the the person writing the script was reading the script for bad taste and also the script for evil dead at the same time their music conjur up zombies SL aliens s of s of the band are aliens no I got [ __ ] nothing then all right fine the second it wasn't about sex I was out of ideas I know I distracted you with the title yeah look the title I guess is is a bit misleading um it's about uh two kids or it's a main character named uh no two sexy kids from New Zealand he's a metal head in a small

town in New Zealand small town and he gets sent to live with his religious aunt and uncle gets arrested arrested for sodomy he starts a ban called deathgasm uh she's arrested for fellacio on a uh on a truck driver I think it's illegal it's illegal to blow a truck driver I don't know what occupation is that man you're [Laughter] blowing yes so he starts a band uh with with another kid and they uh they discover Duo uh well there's four of them two he starts a band with three other kids yeah he starts a band with three other kids fine yeah and um and and through a series of of Adventures trying to find a member of a band that they were really into they discover some ancient Sheep

music which they adapt into a metal song which summons uh a demon called The Blind one and uh and all the people in the town who hear the music get possessed Evil Dead SL demon style and start killing and vomiting blood everywhere and is this a new movie or an old movie it's brand new yep it's brand new but it's in the old style it's just out yeah I mean it's it's all practical effects and stuff like that worth watching cuz I mean it sounds all right if you want to hear a full review of deathgasm you can listen to our new podcast called necronom starring me and Jenna Splinter Group got available on iTunes uh it will be yeah by the time you hear this hopefully it will be yeah all right so yes and audio boom and audio boom Y is it GNA be part of our

H I think it's only just made its way here yeah right is what it's in C's there okay yeah know I should definitely watch it because I know it's um uh Jermaine from yeah um con Flight of the Concords and the apparently the other guy who's in it wrote Flight of the Concords with them oh so okay great can I just say my favorite line in the movie no yes it's not a spoiler okay we're not we're not what are we we're werewolves we're not swearwolves yeah I'll I'll admit Luke that's the line that made me decide this was definitely something I need to watch werewolves not swearwolves right can we talk about making a murderer yeah let's talk about it have you guys have you watched all of it yet I have I've watched up to episode

three ah for [ __ ] sake now we can't talk about it properly we shouldn't we shouldn't spoil it anyway we shouldn't spoil it for for anyone who hasn't listen hasn't watched it guys listeners if you haven't watched making a murderer it's on Netflix go watch it yeah do I'm struggling with it a bit why what do you mean I'm just struggling that did video really look that bad 10 years ago you know what I had that exact thought I'm like is this from the ' 80s no this is from 2007 [ __ ] yeah I know what you mean I know what you mean it's cuz it's like shitty stuff yeah yeah yeah actually it's funny in the in the last episode they do some brand new interviews um from from last year and they look so good compared to this [ __ ] it's all crisp noticeably crisp making a murderer is a documentary

series that tells the tale of uh Steven Avery who was a man from Wisconsin who was convicted uh of attempted rape of rape no I think it was was attempted raping and then he assaulted her right no it was rape but he didn't actually rape her well no he didn't but no she was raped I don't think she was I think she was just beaten badly but anyway I in the vagina by a dick yeah cuz I distinctly remember them saying that he was not able to penetrate her well look it's a tricky one cuz in America they have all different in Australia that would have been a rape because we only have one case of rape and that's called sexual assault and it all is Under the Umbrella I think

in America they call different things different things so we're arguing semantics here Stephen Avery was a guy in from Wisconsin who was uh convicted of of a rap yeah of a woman who was later found through DNA evidence to be innocent but he was in jail for 18 years 18 he was prison 18 years for it yeah a very long time but yeah so he's freed uh and then I mean this is kind of a spoiler because I didn't know it when I watched the first episode and I was like wait what like so hopefully I mean I think this is trailer yeah nobody's been murdered yet so I guess it's kind of obvious but he gets out and he's going to sue the state for his his wrongful arrest because you know he's been in prison having difficulty finding a job um so he needs money uh they convince him to bring a

case for $36 million or something against the state uh and the Sheriff's Department and then all of a sudden he gets arrested for a murder and there's it's it's a whole thing about like did he or didn't he and and you know where did the evidence come from cuz I mean there's there's a bunch of evidence so where did that come from and I mean it does a really good job of of at the end of every episode just dropping some bombshell like you go oh okay all right I think I'm getting a handle on this and then something happens in you're like [ __ ] off really yeah it's pretty much it pretty good yeah I mean you're not up to my favorite bit Luke which I mean can do do we mind me without giving it away man what's

your favorite bit it's to do with some of the evidence that was supposed to have been locked away oh yeah you know they find out something about it and it's like [ __ ] off like are you serious cuz I was like this can't be what it like it's all just too too crazy like it can't be true and then that happens and I'm like what yeah it's like I hope I I want to ruin it this can't possibly happen yeah it's it's kind of terrifying actually that that this you know if if it really happens the way that they say did and look a lot of people involved with it have come out afterwards the um uh the prosecu prosecuting attorney that that guy with the mustache cats yeah that [ __ ] idiot when when it comes out that he was up for sexual

assault of a sexual harassment of a woman I was really shocked because I really had him pegged as a homosexual yeah he's he's said that it's not a documentary it's a movie because documentaries would display facts in the correct chronological order and they would give you all the fact and he reckons they left out a lot of stuff and uh I've seen a few articles um it seems that there is there is stuff that was left out that reflects negatively on Avery which I assume they did because they wanted to push yeah it does have a bias it it is pro Avery for sure this is this is more uh s for entertainment more than a documentary right but well it's one of those things where yeah it is for entertainment but it is a documentary

and it's kind of like you know like with Michael Moore is the example I always Ed like balling for Coline uh he had a really good point and then he also lied about a bunch of stuff in it and I'm like why why do that like why muddy the water you know so yeah I don't know it's uh but but it's yeah it's fascinating I you definitely should check it out listeners if you did you watch the Jinx yet no you know I actually thought of it after this and I couldn't remember the name of it so the Jinx the Jinx for next time and if you get really bored to a lesser extent the staircase from about 15 years ago not quite we've been watching aha moments as this or the Jinx but [ __ ] man start with the Jinx you will not regret it we we started watching a series called um forensic

investigations which is also on Netflix because we were kind of into you know after the making a murderer we were like oh what else is there and that that showed up right so we started watching it and and making a murderer has made me question a lot of the stuff in that show like they talk about how you know we caught this guy and he says he didn't do it and they've got interviews with this guy like oh you know I wasn't home hopefully one day they'll find out who really did it and then they're like yeah but we uh you know we found um you know this hair in his car and all that kind of stuff and I'm like wait that's it yeah like it it sounds impressive I'm sure you know back when this was made but that one hair fiber in his car fun I was reading an article only yesterday

that basically said DNA evidence is very good at exonerating you but it's it's it can't really be relied on to convict you or shouldn't be it's kind of scary yeah that that you can prove you weren't there by DNA evidence but DNA never really proves you did commit a crime but it's used all the time as proof of that if your DNA is completely absent well then that's kind of evidence of your absence but but yeah your DNA being there doesn't prove much always I'm sure sometimes does there are some cases where it does like there was one where they got uh this guy had killed and taken over the life of somebody and he was sending letters to his family pretending that he was still alive creep and um and and they took his

um yeah really creepy and they not only that in the reenactment right this guy was a teacher they have you they have reenactments on these shows in the reenactment he sat there at the table writing out these letters the guy was a teacher and he's got this mug that says world's best teacher and he's drinking coffee out of it while he's like impersonating this guy that he's murdered and it was just like creepy little touch and you can tell someone in the prop Department was like I'm a genius it's great yeah but they got his saliva off the back of the stamp and it was kind of proven that way I'm like that one's pretty good that's pretty good some of them some of them I'm like I don't know man that's sounds

inconclusive to me but then I'm not a not a forensic scientist you''ll be shocked to learn wait what yeah I know I'm sorry do we want to add in anything else before we go or oh the Twitter stuff oh yeah um have you heard about this rumor that's coming out that Twitter's going to be increasing its character limit yeah I saw that and it sucks so it's going from 140 characters to 10,000 I mean that is going to be the death of so you can write a short story it's now going to be for blogs that's a very strange move like it completely changes what Twitter is yeah you know like like I only go through Twitter I go only go through Twitter occasionally and it's just just you scroll up and you read there short little things and yep that's it if I was to log on to Twitter

now and have to look at people's short stories I'm not going to read that yeah see I'm not very good at Twitter no because I I'm kind of not I'm not very good at Facebook either I'm not I try to be and and at times you know like if if if you go on my Twitter and it looks like I'm posting a lot it's probably because I'm I've decided I should force myself to do it more but it doesn't come very naturally to me I'm not very Sher in that sense I think this podcast is kind of the way that I that I do what a lot of people do on Facebook which is just sharing my opinion about things um so yeah definitely I mean if this happens like I'm I'll probably just not go to Twitter ever again well I I mean I've stopped going to Facebook

since it became just [ __ ] a place where people redirect articles like couldn't give less of a [ __ ] about that now you know it used used to be about my friends and now it's I mean sometimes it is it's just about [ __ ] how much people hate various politicians and I just don't care yeah yeah yeah Half Baked political theories that kind of stuff then occasionally like the other day someone got engaged and then that showed up and I was like oh that's nice you know yeah cool but then or uh events Facebook events everyone's using those so and I use messenger a lot but I don't I I don't know I'm just not good at it but yeah I me 10,000 words that's a lot of characters 10,000 characters that's a lot of characters it's still I mean if you write in Chinese that's 10,000

words I could see them maybe slightly increasing it why yeah some people do want that more and I could see if you were going to recre it I could see maybe maybe go to 200 but this yeah just completely changes what Twitter is yeah I don't know so it's not confirmed it's just the rumors is very strong though that it's going to be something happening in March I'll tell you what if this happens right if Twitter does this I say we get in now and we make our own version of it with the Twitter with 140 characters 135 characters yep yeah even less scope than

the original yeah yeah save save on database storage yeah cuz well I'm not made of money all right okay but what are we going to call our Twitter alternative TW that's all right low hang fruit next named named yeah that's it why why do we need more we just call it com.com is there a comunicate on it there must there has to be what's it called. uh let's see it's loading yeah no seems to be a placeholder I wonder if there say has been owned and operated since 1995 with nothing on it net.net name on the Internet we will not reply to any offers under one I think it's supposed to say $1 million but

go uh just want to comment on something that was brought up two weeks ago right in your uh looking back at 2015 specifically you Matt what saying that your favorite show of 2015 was new girl and I oh yeah I uh I poo pooed it and then this week I forced myself to watch uh well I only only forc myself to wor the first two but I think I'm up to episode 18 or 19 now uh MH so uh yeah all right fine fine it's funny isn't it pretty funny now I'm stting at Season 2 Season no I watched season one the first time and and didn't quite get into it so I don't know what was going on back then um and I kind of forgot what it's about so I

don't know why it's called new girl uh I can only assume it's because she was the newest one to move in because as far as I can tell it's just about four people that share a flat yeah yeah she was she was just the new person yeah she's not as uh annoying as I anticipated her to be and it's not really about her anyway so uh no it becomes much more about the other characters like everybody gets an episode kind of thing as it goes on and it changed a lot from that first season but I do laugh out loud at least once in most episodes and there's not a lot of shows you can say that for that's generally I guess because Winston does something funny or Schmidt does something funny yeah pretty much yeah Schmid is great just because that guy

guy ever I know and he's like I'm like is he a bad actor I can't tell but he's before he did like Safety Not Included but but I think he's like your uh oh was he in Jurassic world oh that makes sense because Jurassic world is from the maker of uh Safety Not Included right have you seen that Little Indie time travel movie no it's got your got that girl you love Luke what's that me oh him no it's got that girl that Luke loves you know that kind of girl that looks a little bit [ __ ] and she just every time she talks it sounds like just doesn't give a [ __ ] about anyone Kristen St not Christ Stewart he actually likes her oh he know who I'm talking about you mean the one from

Spider-Man uh one from Parks and Rex or Plaza yeah that's her I knew I knew you would know who that was by that description I [ __ ] knew it who Aubrey Plaza ory sounds like a place what sounds like I would do my shopping there oh okay I know who you mean yeah okay I've seen her before okay fine yeah Stars her it's worth a watch but do you reckon that Nick Miller I don't know his actual name but that dude is like your poor man's Oscar Isaac's sure yeah jennis said that as well that he looks like he's like Oscar Isaac's unattractive brother yeah sure Oscar Isaac is great yeah he really is safy not guaranteed all right I'm going to watch this yeah you should it's quite good it's kind of a true story and

kind of not a true story don't tell me it's a true story because I [ __ ] hate it when movies say they true stories and then something happens and I'm like well that didn't happen no it's well yeah it kind of is that it's based on something that part of which was true yeah okay fine you've seen it Luke right yeah exactly yes look look I can read what the it's based off there's on the front cover of the movie it's actually got the article the wanted ad yes so this wanted someone to go back in tier I is that the guy's name the time traveling guy I know I know that it is a time traveling guy yeah John tier I know that story um is that no it's not him I know what you're thinking of you're thinking of

that guy who claimed he came back from the future and was all over the inter early inter not that not it's about a guy who took out an ad in a magazine or newspaper saying he was going to go back in time and he needed a partner um and you know serious contenders only please right so that that really did happen but this film fictionalizes somebody going along to to meet him and to train with him all right sounds fun I'll watch it yeah it's quite good it's Little Indie movie you know don't don't expect you know some Michael Bay [ __ ] how many things blow up in it just your mind how many things enough enough all right and it's got spaceship for this movie how many how many lightsabers are in it plenty for this movie yeah plenty yeah as as many as it
