The Year of Civilization: Mad Max Fury Road & The Witcher 3

right okay so still three still three and how has your perception of the film changed over multiple viewings both of you the more I see it the better it gets mhm good yeah I like it more uh I like it a lot the second time yeah great so Luke have you moved up from I don't really know to being able to clarify whether or not you like this movie I do like it now good I'm glad okay so no spoilers I do have a spoiler we discussed uh while we were filming yesterday uh but I don't want to discuss it on here because we can't discuss it yet yeah cuz I can't can't know about it or cuz the listen just the listeners I don't want to upset the listeners you know all right well look if we're going to talk about it let's talk about it right at the end and we'll we'll get

everything else wrapped up and then we'll say turn it off here if you don't want to know all right well that'll actually that'll probably be next episode because we're going to do two now in theory right it's going to be two short episodes well that's fine too y this episode uh I wanted to talk about some of our favorite things from the year yeah I sent some some ideas is for favorite things I've thought of some more so I'm going to put you guys on the spot potentially okay yeah easy it's been a been a pretty big year in a bunch of ways for us as a show and for the various Industries and and geoms that we participate in yep that's true actually we've got quite a few favorites from the year is that is there anywhere in particular you guys wanted to start

[ __ ] throw it out there man so how what are we going to do we got to do just our favorite we're got to do our top three how do you think we should do it been thinking about obviously my favorite in in various areas throughout the year and obviously there's there's going to be a few so we can continue the conversation um yep do we want to start with video games cuz that's I mean we talk about video games a lot why not do you want to start there yes and cuz you know we include those in the newsletter our favorite video game of the month so if you want to sign up for the newsletter multiple nasm.com sign up for the newsletter but what's your favorite game of the year who wants to go first oh I did warn you so I'm hoping I know but for some reason I had in my head I

was going to pick top three oh you can do that too that's fine go on count it down you know what it doesn't matter the [ __ ] podcast police aren't coming we make up the [ __ ] rules yeah exactly cool all right let's do this I'm going to go Fallout 4 mhm number one or number three that's number three oh okay okay number two M Halo 5 right okay number one Witcher really oh okay I didn't I didn't think you were gonna pick Witcher interesting I assumed someone was G to Pig Witcher I really got into it y when when all I heard was h witch is not that good or I'm not going to play it and then I'm playing a bunch of other stuff and now I find out you've been playing and loving The Witcher you're holding out on me Luke game of the year I haven't played

The Witcher in like two months but yeah I really I really started to enjoy it and then stopped playing it all right well Matt I'm assuming not to not to jump ahead but I'm assuming which 3 is on your list as well at the very top it is yeah my my number one of the year is definitely wish of 3 um I'm still playing it and if I'm honest I don't know if Fallout 4 can be on that list yet because I haven't played enough of it mhm mhm um I think Tomb Raider which I know it's ridiculous because it's so old now I think Tomb Raider though is definitely uh definitely in the top three and you're talking about the first one aren't you yeah that's right cuz I haven't played rise of the Tomb raid yet yet um I've still got Witcher 3 and full 4 to get

through so yeah I'm uh I'm pathetic uh when it comes to well one thing is 100% clear now and that's that I'm going to have to play The Witcher 3 oh you got to Dam if both of you guys are endorsing this as game of the year then I'm just an idiot for not having played it clearly one thing I would maybe recommend doing play it on easy I know it sounds it doesn't because after Witcher two I will 100% play this on easy yeah cuz it is such a big game and the story is great and that's what you're really playing for with The Witcher I find sure yeah just make it a bit easier on yourself yeah it's good advice I mean don't not too easy because then it kind of you know some of the other the actual Quest stuff can become monotonous but yeah you might be right

about that I don't even know what difficulty I've got it on I think just normal I think I've got it on normal yeah but I'm actually wishing I had maybe put une easy just to get through it a bit faster H and if I had to pick another game um I would probably choose C5 just because I played a lot of that earlier in the year never heard of it um and when did that come out that was like 3 years ago now isn't it was it Jesus well and and beyond Earth I played a bit too that was that was very good not enough not as much as I'd like but I played that over the free demo weekend quite a bit but then I didn't I didn't purchase it oh okay all right so what's what's your number one wherever you want to start you it's been an interesting

year for games for me particularly because this year I upgraded console right to the Xbox one so I was a bit behind you guys right so anything I started at the beginning of the year was still on 360 and I've only got between 5 and 10 games for the Xbox one right and there was some fun stuff alien isolation and Mad Max but I wouldn't really say they're great games right sure so Matt kind of stole my thunder a bit by bringing up Civ 5 because this year alone no no no no this year alone I've clocked up around 300 hours of of Civ 5 so it would be absolutely a Miss I've been on a lot of planes man on a lot of planes um but I couldn't I couldn't not say Civ 5 as as a game of the year because even though it didn't come out this year this has been the year of Civ

5 like when I look back on my life as an old man I'm going to remember 2015 as the year I played S 5 for 300 hours y yeah and then look closed runner up is Fallout 4 and I've been playing it just about every day getting right into it I'll admit I had this little moment yesterday morning where I was like is Fallout 4 as good as Fallout 3 no it's probably not and the reason is because Fallout 3 had more interaction and more of a story and and Fallout 4 seems a bit isolated a bit lonely and then it occurred to me that I'm not doing any missions I'm just exploring and so it's kind of my fault it's the way that I've been playing it so I went back and I've decided [ __ ] it I'm going to play the

main story and I can do the side missions later and I can explore the rest of the map after which is what I did with Fallout 3 anyway so yeah I started playing the main story again and I'm back into it there's some really cool stuff I I was in a dream sequence yesterday afternoon that reminded me a lot of uh of uh Max before or after you got back into Fallout 4 that's right do you remember the dream sequences in the max pain games there was at least one of in the first one there might have been in the second one as well um and you got to follow dendrites to different parts of the dream well this this happened as well and it was uh it was pretty cool so you what's got really great dream sequences

um is the the Batman I think actually Arkham Asylum had the best ones with Scarecrow oh scarecrow drugs you I never played that for much oh man that was a great game oh when scarecrow drugs you uh in that game man cuz it you don't realize that at first that's what's happening and the game just starts to get weird it's really good like it's a bit where you're running around and then all of a sudden you're in Wayne mana and I was like wait what oh that's cool and turn around and the door that you came through is gone and it's like what the [ __ ] is going on is the game glitched and then as you proceed yeah it was done really well sorry that do you guys remember that episode this is a this is a total segue but the episode of Batman the Animated Series where all this crazy

[ __ ] was happening and then about 34s in Bruce clicks that he's actually asleep and in a dream and he realizes because he tries to read a book in the library of Wayne mana and it's just gibberish and he works out that it's the right side of your brain that reads that's asleep while you're while you're dreaming sorry neither here nor there no no no but I'm actually happy you brought up Batman cuz I've now changed my top three uh-huh oh out Batman in really right Batman was I forgot I actually forgot about the game that game was great I haven't even played it yet you have to play it it's I've got so many games Luke of so many games I know but you need to got no time well I bought I bought the new Tomb

Raider on the same day as I bought Fallout and it's it's still in the rapper because you know still on the shrimp rack that's why I made play to play Tomb Raider before even starting I started to wish I I did that because Tomb Raider is definitely one of those games you can just play and finish and move on from and I'd still be playing it yeah it's a good it was a good year for games I think I think the Xbox one has finally got some games that are like are really good it took a while I mean [ __ ] it's like uh it's 2 years old now yeah can't believe it's so old it's hard to believe it is that old because I mean I'm no offense to the the little console but it hasn't had a whole lot of great games if I'm honest no no it absolutely was why I held out for not until

recently yeah not until recently like you know Destiny was was very good I like that enjoyed that this year um and you know I finally got around playing Tomb Raider but I mean that was a 360 game technically reased yeah um and then you know until Witcher and oh and Dragon Age Dragon Age was was good but Witcher was better so Dragon Age I I I not played much of that at all Dragon Age just feels too much like an MMO with no online stuff I'm I mean I really would like to finish it but I keep forgetting it exists which I guess should tell you something you know what I mean like I have honestly I just remembered that I have that game cuz I was trying to think what else have I got on the 36 on the Xbox

one so I just have everything I believe that yeah that's true except for a couple of sports games all right well so console of the year I guess for all of us is the Xbox one yeah uh although not probably not platform of the Year you guys most might be your laptop is that right yeah I think so but uh that's I've only got one game on the laptop so I mean need one yeah exactly right and that was your game of a year exactly right yeah it's it's it's in fact my MacBook has kind of become my Civ 5 machine you know I'm often tempted to look towards PlayStation but only because of Uncharted yeah and um no man's sky but I mean for me talk about that next time and until dawn yeah yeah until dawn playst does have a few good exclusives that I would

like to play and I might do what what I did with the PlayStation 3 wait till I get one cheap and just buy them then did they they remastered The Last of Us didn't they yes yeah see I never played through that on the PS3 either I just I just forget that I have a PS3 like if I'm thinking about what to play I don't even I forget that I have it and I don't don't play it yeah I've been Xbox so long yeah I've been Xbox for a while I've been Xbox since I bought the Xbox to play Fallout 3 actually you know what I just realized a game that we played a lot this year when we got it was Mario Kart and uh and that I mean that's got to be on the list somewhere but that's a different type new game is it no no well the new it's the new version of it but um yeah we played that

a lot um but I again I forget about it because it's not you know it's not stuck in my my my mind as like one of the games that I enjoyed the most but I actually did spend a lot of time and had a lot of fun playing it so honorable mention I guess to Nintendo I'm not going to give them a mention definitely not console deserve it do you ever Wii U uh no I'm waiting till they release Zelda right right right or any games on it really yeah well we won hours that's that's the only reason I have one have you heard that Nintendo probably going to release a new console next year God's sake are they yeah cuz the wayi U is just doing terribly so the new Zelda will actually come out on that console instead no it's still going to come out the Wii U I

believe cuz that's what's being designed for what's the new one going to be like is it actually going to in any way compete with the Xbox One and the PS4 I think if Nintendo want to keep going they need to compete cuz the Wii you worked for them like that whole that was a good console that a lot of people did go out and buy yeah but the Wii U they tried to do the same thing look we're not going to compete with the big boys we'll make this and it'll be fun and then everyone's gone but I can just get something better that'll last longer and your games will be out yeah getting something better that'll last longer is why all of my relationships have failed they need to put uh their games on other platforms I think yeah just

I've been saying it for a while just stop making consoles make Zelda for the Xbox Mak for the PlayStation yeah if they brought out a bunch of the Mario games for Xbox I would definitely play them they're great party games yeah they just need to go the way of Sega yeah yeah yeah I mean that's I mean don't build your own theme park well that's not what we mean yeah that didn't work out so well I think they they've got one haven't they oh probably speaking of consoles before we move on sure I was going to bring up uh something that I found on the internet today but then when I did a bit more research I I found it to be fake and I was really disappointed have you guys seen that fake Atari ad from the 80s with Stevie Wonder no okay so it's the Atari 2600

and Stevie Wonder's there next to it being all blind and whatever and the caption is if I could play video games it would probably be Atari and I saw this uh listed as a real ad in I can't believe that was an ad uh BuzzFeed or something kind of uh list and I was like [ __ ] man that is great but unfortunately it's not true it's not real oh yeah disappointing that's that's some game talk uh films what was your number one film of the Year ah easy Star Wars yeah yeah I think for me too interesting yeah I mean Not only was it arguably the most anticipated film of the Year perhaps of

the decade mhm but for me it delivered on its promise of returning Star Wars to form and I've got to say yeah film of the year for me it's a Star Wars movie yep I Star Wars is back I agree it is a Star Wars movie and I enjoyed it a lot but it's I'm not going to it's not my number one of the year go man really we're we're on baited breath well there was a film that I I didn't go and see it first because I thought n it's not going to be the same but then I heard so many people say it was good that I I said you know what I'm going I'm going to go see it and it blew me away and it's Mad Max Fury Road yeah I'm

still yet to see it oh [ __ ] off Luke are you serious yep I have not had the chance to go see it dud Star Wars in three times in three days but M Max still Fury Road is [ __ ] great it's only because I mean Star Wars was great but I I you know I I I was hoping it was going to be and then it was and it was kind of like ah phew thank goodness it was a different feeling whereas when I went and saw Mad Max I was like ah you know it won't be the same as watching Mad Max 2 when I was young uh people are saying it's good so we'll see and I got in there and it was just [ __ ] awesome y like it it was like I was a kid again watching [ __ ] cars explode and just crazy you know just just bad Max it is what it is you know what I

mean like it was just it was a really really great way of it just brought that series into the modern day like perfectly and it just everything that I've disliked about action movies uh over the last year or two like you know probably few years actually everything I've hated about recent action movies it did away with all that it was a classic classic action movie and it was like you know so good absolutely and they're making another one already aren't they yeah he's got uh I think he already had a script that he wanted to do um and so they are going to make another one uh soonish I think it's called the Wasteland here's uh here's my prediction here's what I really just hope they don't do right uhhuh Mad Max the whole point of madmax and we've discussed on

this show before is that he's a mythical creature even within the world of these films right which is why there's no continuity between them there's certain details that are um and nobody knows who Max is right and I love that that's [ __ ] excellent and it gives you so much scope to go wherever you want with it right yeah arguably the most talked about character in this Mad Max was Charlene theon's character yeah and she was [ __ ] great right like she was a great character she can't come back she cannot no she cannot come back because her story is done but I can just see [ __ ] the studio whichever Studio it is that is going to fund Mad Max 5 is going to say well furios has to be in it she's a great character yeah and and I really

don't want that to happen because her story is done and we need to move on and it needs to be another folk tale about Max yeah on IMDb and at the moment yeah it is the Wasteland the only cast member that they've got listed here at the moment is Tom hard okay oh good good good so yeah I hope it's not yeah can I throw out another film that I saw this year that I loved yeah of course yeah yeah X MAA oh [ __ ] yeah that was a great movie yeah and I wasn't sure I was going to like that one and so I put it on at about midnight on a work night to just kind of watch as I fell asleep and then found myself staying up to watch the whole thing and then spending another hour on Google after that trying to find

out all I could about it watching behind the scenes it is a great science fiction movie yeah I agree yeah brilliant um it's actually I just realized it's the guy from Star Wars it is isn't it it's the one character oh and the other guy realiz the redheaded guy is the character of the general that Luke doesn't like holy [ __ ] how come he sound that just a general that I don't like I just remember his name it's like a Celtic GIC name Haw or something no me the actor's name oh the actor's name I did not I didn't even think about that I only knew that because I originally seen him in an episode of Black Mirror did you guys watch Black Mirror no no I need to just heard about it the other week There's

only six episodes and they're worth watching six episodes and then there's a a like a film length one you should watch them first one involved like a prime minister and a pig correct it's probably it's probably the least good of all the episodes okay yeah you know I heard about that yeah a week or two ago and I've gone I need to watch that show yeah you do and Matt I know [ __ ] Warren told you to watch it three years ago I know he's still angry that you haven't watched it yeah I think every day he gets angry he does he's mounting all right I'll watch it you reminded me I don't know what something you said made me think of this but uh my director of the Year oh yeah uh it's got to be James 1 because like I I only discovered a lot

of his a lot of his work this year and uh yeah and you know what I'll second that because like we all liked James One to begin with because of s right yeah we all loved saw we didn't really give a [ __ ] who James Juan was right no but I went and saw [ __ ] Fast and the Furious 12 or whatever we're up to Haven seen that and somehow James one made that a pretty decent movie so tip of the hat to James one yeah and uh of of his films I I think my favorite uh Insidious one and two are really good um sorry what they called insiders one and two but dead silence was amazing which is the one with the vent dummy that kills people so good inside of used too inside used to Yeah well yeah I like him if he does

actually do the robot Tech movie oh yeah Fu I'd watch a Robotech movie I really would watch that yeah it's been years since I've watched any of Robotech of course look is it worth going back to Robotech or is it dated as [ __ ] um I still enjoy the story yeah hm and it's I mean it was cheap animation at the time anyway so it's not like yeah yeah yeah it's great go back and watch it speaking of animations you know what I might only worry about the first generation yeah I only did that's all I saw anyway yep initially so the other night I forced myself to uh watch the Star Wars holiday special oh my God we we started to and we couldn't do it Jenna was like turn it

off I love I end especially that like 15 minute sequence that's just in W yeah that's what whose [ __ ] idea was that I said oh it's pretty bad it's pretty bad and she's like oh how bad could it be and then like 10 minutes in she was like are you [ __ ] serious yeah what is this like I told you it was bad watch that holog acrobatics thing so bad man and that we turned it off at the guy dressed as a woman in black face we we should get him on the podcast yeah [ __ ] awful um did you get up to the bit where the grandfather watches pornography no he sits there I know you mean that he puts on a virtual reality headset and he watches what can only be described as softcore porn yeah I've

seen it before and in including a bit where the um actress in the uh the show that he's watching says oh I can tell you're getting very excited now but anyway chewy has a son yes he does I want you to think about that when you watch a awakens next time he's not been back for a life day in 30 years yeah but that's only 10 life days cuz life day only comes every 3 years oh is that true yes my mistake in fact there's going to be a life Day in 2017 we should celebrate it we should do a special edition ass assuming that we can make the assumption that in 1978 when the Star Wars holiday special aired that was a light a life day year oh yeah right but anyway I digress my point was

the one part of it that's actually quite good is the animated sequence featuring Boba Fett yeah like it's actually quite good yeah I agree he actually doesn't he he actually talks more in that than he does in all three movies and he sides with them first right and they think and three is like are you sure you can trust him like he's like a real character who does stuff and he's awesome and he rides a dragon just putting that out there yeah yeah what happened to that Dragon I know [ __ ] weird trippy psychedelic drug induced cartoon yeah and I'm going to watch that on Christmas Eve I've decided now yeah do it and an old man trying to s pocket fish tanks to an imperial officer that's in there as well Y and

then these a grooming kit tries to S A grooming kit [ __ ] weird thing and then right at the end when you think it can't get any more Awkward princess ler sings yeah her with glazed eyes she sings she is so off her [ __ ] face oh my God so bad who decided this would be a good idea I can answer that question so what happened was Lucas was moving on to uh Empire Strikes Back but knew it would be a good three years before that would come out and he didn't excuse me he didn't want people to lose sight of Star Wars and the characters in the meantime so somebody pitched to him a network executive pitch to him a television special cuz he says TV is way

cheaper to produce than film we can drop some holiday specials in between now and the release of Empire to just remind people that they love Star Wars and I mean on the surface that's not a bad idea really yeah sure but uh George Lucas said yeah go for your life knock yourself out I'll um I'll be completely hands off with this so whatever you want to do which I think uh I think we have that guy to blame for the fact that Star Wars has been so micromanaged by George Lucas ever since could be yeah I bet you he was probably thinking on the way into the first screening he saw a force awakens he was like huh see what they've got come what they've [ __ ] up this time people are

going to come crawling back to me no we're not no keep him away do you guys have a TV show of the year you know I actually haven't watched a lot of TV this year I I was thinking about it and I haven't the TV shows that I've watched have been quite old and I I was a bit nipi about them and I realized there is one TV show that I I should probably choose because I enjoy it so much but it's going to be it's going to be a controversial pick go on it's new girl it's so good want be controversial with Luke it's it's a kind of [ __ ] I'm sure he likes it's a great show and my favorite character of the year on New Girl is Winston is he the black his character just keeps getting better and better

what's that is he a black guy yeah well he's one of he's one of two right because they replaced him in the pilot well no they replaced coach and the pilot with Winston but then Coach came back because coach is one of the weighin brothers and he went off to do some other stuff and so they got okay Winston in uh and then later on I guess it didn't work out so coach came back and Winston's gone no no no they're both still in there thank goodness because Winston Winston's the funer of the two black guys in one yeah I know [ __ ] controversial I'm sure the internet is going to go crazy when they find out about that yeah Star Wars fans hate it yeah definitely oh sorry I say Star Wars fans I mean more on Star Wars Star Wars fans

do they still make new girl is it still going yeah yeah so the season you watched this year is the the latest season yeah yeah it's very good Dan you should watch it it's very funny all right I'm look if you guys assure me that this is pretty good then I will watch it low at least once an episode usually several times it's honestly I find it very very funny but if I think that Zoe dashell is a Dopey [ __ ] will I enjoy the show yeah because she's not she she's the main character sort of but like even if you don't think she's funny the others are funny okay and it has sort of grown since the first season where it's not just about her now it's about the group all the characters start at season two [ __ ] about him like Schmid is hilarious Winston's hilarious Nick's

they're all just they're all just great like they all it's like it's just a bit goofy it's I don't know it's very funny okay okay it's like it's my TV show of the year it is it's the only one that I can think back on I'm like yeah that was great I have no no criticisms of that show it was hilarious like as in getting better and better was it this season the one with Prince or was that last season Jes um I think that might have been last season that was a good episode too now my favorite uh again all the Winston episodes man guys so [ __ ] funny just trying to think I don't think I've I've only watched two television shows that have come out this year what's the other one I zombie oh is that good and I I enjoy it that's by the guy who did Veronica Mars right I believe so

okay I should and Ash versus evil dead oh yeah I still haven't seen that still wish that was better than it has been it has gotten better I got to say yes it do said like I think the first the first episode was really just introducing a lot of people probably not familiar with Evil Dead 2 the series yeah yeah MH it rehashed some stuff in the films and yeah yeah I I I can't remember I've seen the second one or the second and the third but I've definitely seen the second one and it was better yeah and it's got Zena in it well I've only seen her once so if she's in in a bit more then I haven't seen that yet She'll always be seen her yeah I know or um whichever number syon she

was she yeah I only remember six it's the only one you need to know cuz you surprised me with how intelligent she was in real life yeah she really is yeah animal activist too mhm yep yeah was the carye Fisher panel at Supernova this year uh no that was two years ago damn it I was going to make that that's definitely my Supernova panel of all time hold on hold on I'd like a chance to talk about my TV show of the Year oh yeah sorry on sure um I know TV show of the year should be something that came out this year right but I'm going to stray a little bit because it it spawned from that that's F yeah my TV show of the year has actually been the decision to go back and watch Game of Thrones from the start all the way through right which I

enjoyed aund times more than I did the first time through really yes okay because it's such a rich world and they don't hold back right from the start and even though Stannis for example doesn't come until the second season he has mentioned so many times in that first season and if you don't know who he is you've got no frame of reference to remember that name or why it's significant and so you just ignore it whereas now when you watch it and you know who people are that are going to come in one two and three years down the track it it's really just incredibly interesting how they slowly build this world bigger and

bigger I I've never watched any of the seasons again and I haven't watched even um you're a season season yeah yeah I Haven season five I haven't haven't watched any of it at all is it season five or four five five yeah yeah we're getting in there aren't we um yeah I haven't seen any of it so yeah weird I should do that I guess yeah you should I I watched a few episodes no I still don't see what everyone is on about fair enough all right well what was your favorite segment of this podcast of the year or don't you have to choose a favorite but like what are some some memorable memorable moments from the year like whether what like favorite news article just a favorite moment of yours from the podcast uh I got this

okay it's um Terry smallers right Terry when he's reenacting driving to the crime scene I just love that it's a great you were in that I was oh [ __ ] f you were in it no that's great he didn't know that was a good that was a good moment oh no Terry you kind of [ __ ] us over well Terry's a dick yeah he's uh I don't know where he is he's on his honeymoon I guess haven't seen him in a bit oh on his honey he didn't tell me he didn't tell me he was going you know because I listen to tempting fate yeah I assume that's where he is that was a while ago yeah yeah well God knows if

we're talking about uh tempting fate right sure can I just say slightly off topic serial season 2 is boring as [ __ ] oh is it I don't [ __ ] care I haven't listened to it at all because I I was like oh serial's out everyone's talking about cial and I looked and I was like oh that's very different American Soldier goes awall gets captured by the Taliban freed is he a hero or a [ __ ] withit answer he [ __ ] with and who gives a [ __ ] I started listening to like the first part of it and I've just gone I I don't care yeah why did he go a well you know I should listen to him look they explain all of that in the first episode all right but uh I caught up on the second episode today and um just just

bores me look maybe if you're American cuz Americans [ __ ] love their army or they really hate the Army and either way you're going to get your fil with this yeah very strongly one way or the other that's right there's no Americans with no opinions but um yeah cuz since it came out I haven't heard anyone talk about it no it's not like last time and I think they've missed the mark with what people were tuning in for I think that's because we're in Australia and it's less relevant yeah I'll go as far as saying not relevant at all the last serial was was nothing to do with Australia and no but the story was yeah the story was was you could put in that situation I think I mean like I said when I read the synopsis for this series of cial I was like oh I don't even know if that's

going to be interesting like yeah when when everyone told me about the first season I was like that sounds fascinating like this one I'm like no idea if I'm going to like that and I have a feeling I'm not going to yeah what was your favorite trailer of the year do you have a favorite trailer that's a good question I've got that Independence Day yeah that's a great trailer isn't it that gave me goosebumps no my favorite trailer Star Wars one yeah from this year that was a perfect trailer because right yeah yeah it didn't give anything away and it just gave me [ __ ] Goosebumps so good the Independence Day one was interesting yeah but I thought it was great especially when they've got the speech in it as well and yeah yeah what are you then look I think it's

going to have to be May out of those two for sure although I think the the sheer amount of times I watched the force awakens trailer it would it would be unfair for me not to put it in first place yep I've only watched the Independence Day one once and enjoyed it but I spent a day watching that Star Wars one yeah just on repeat that's probably enough about our favorite stuff we going to if you listen up next week we're going to talk about some of the stuff we're looking forward to in 2016 foreshadowing yeah but before we go um what was your biggest disappointment this year oh sorry I and I'm not putting you on the spot because I actually I only just thought of this before and I didn't uh I didn't didn't warn you does

the amount that I've disappointed my father count because I think that that reached newes this year too I'm sure if he was on the show that would be his choice but unfortunately he refused to be on a show with you so that's right [ __ ] you Dad can I pick something that I knew was going to be a disappointment and then just abely sure absolutely yeah fantastic fall oh God I haven't even seen it can't be a disappointment if you know unequivocally that it's going to be [ __ ] I didn't even have to pay to go and I was still not happy I could tell you my biggest disappointment of the year mhm was uh I hate to say it but it's probably um James

Bond really Spectre Spectre yeah it didn't work for me I enjoyed a lot of it but overall it didn't work for me and skyf was [ __ ] great I am you know what I've mentally just blanked and I'm really sorry but I swear to God there was a film this year that everyone loved that I didn't like that doesn't sound like you man no forgive me while I Google films that we like that you didn't like no I'm just looking at top films of 2015 Google Google really knows everything doesn't it if you find this though we'll know that uh Google really has come full circle no I got no idea what it is well think of something else you came up with blanking oh know it was my [ __ ] idea now i' [ __ ] blanked on it the Martian no I really enjoyed the Martian yeah me

too [ __ ] when did um gravity come out that was last year before that was boring that was [ __ ] it's probably I think that might be the one I'm thinking of yeah no no no no I didn't like that either yeah okay maybe I that was and I hadn't even seen it oh yeah I know what it is I know what it is my biggest disappointment of 2015 was Jurassic world oh I still haven't seen it and I'm not sure I'm going to definitely my biggest disappointment 20 2015 yeah there was no reason why that had to suck so bad you know what's funny Matt I've been going back through every spread sheeet as we've been talking right now scrolling down to the movies section and looking at the movies listed and just as you said Jurassic world I've gone to an episode 126 Matt watches Jurassic
