by snake on stage and sings on until she dies yeah and then I was like what's that about and then I read the article and I mean it really is just self-explanatory yeah yeah but I mean it's so ridiculous that you're like this really happen but the crazy thing is already it's illegal to do it but they sort of just turn a blind eye to it yeah look the things that are illegal in Indonesia are either not quite really illegal or really [ __ ] illegal and I guess having live cobas on stage when you sing which was the uh the mo of Irma bule Indonesian pop singer it's a thing he can't call her on it no uh and in a gig last week she got bitten by one cuz she stood on its tail bit her on the thigh releasing its toxic venom into

her and then Show Must Go On so instead of uh instead of having paused the show to go and get the antivenom that was standing by y she decided to just push on until she started vomiting and spasming on stage and eventually died I remember seeing something about this um evidently it wasn't one of her snakes it was a snake that a fan had given her what people just bringing snakes to the gig are they and she was led to believe that it was either defanged or had the poison taken out right neither she obviously knew it wasn't defanged because it's got a they've got a screen grab here of a Handler attempting to detach it from her yeah so I mean at that point she should have figured out that it had fangs but yeah guys can you just hold on for 20

minutes while I just run out get this little injection I'll be back yes like I don't know she must not have realized like there's no way that you would CLE be like clearly she didn't just go [ __ ] it no exactly it's but then how could she not I don't know man if F I don't care if I thought a snake had been de venomed if a snake bit me a king cobra bit me they would be like do you want to stop and get the antivenom i' be like yeah obviously yeah because this is the thing if you were watching this and you're like man she's just kept singing until she's died like why didn't we have some anti venom there and the first aid guy is going to be like I had it I offered it to her she said no thanks that's the other thing too and then he went all right yeah I guess what no I'm

shutting this down what I think is she's probably had been bitten quite a few times so she probably does have some not immunity it's definitely not immunity some resist to it so she may have thought had the Venom taken out so there's probably a little bit of Venom there but I should be fine yeah maybe look are you looking at this picture I mean I I get that singing with snakes is an oddity right but it's not much to look at no that impressive slithering around ground level she's just amongst them singing does she I don't know does she pick them up or anything yeah look I'm looking through some other footage of her and they're definitely draped around her and she's doing all sorts of tricks and they're doing that thing where they stand up and flare out their cheeks see

face split his lip all the way up to his nose oh it's funny now but it was funny then yeah it was funny for us right at the time and then 45 minutes later obviously he died of poisoning yeah he thought it was a defanged Dev venomed Chihuahua was just a chel one of his fans had brought which apparently is allowed and there's there's no follow-up questions asked yeah just toss them up on the stage if You' got them [ __ ] snakes is this where I bought the snakes yeah mate just throw up beer yeah oh I've been pooped on by a snake really does that count yeah at uh it counts as something remember when Wonderland used to have the reptile Park oh yeah or the the Wildlife Park rather yeah uh they were

got a whole bunch of people who suddenly take a fence at it then they're the ones blowing it out of proportion yeah like if you said to me now that we've we've talked about that a little bit if you said to me hey did you notice that Rogue one is another film with a male black actor and a female white actor as the lead I go that is that is a weird coincidence right cuz that's what it is and I'd say not really a coincidence they probably went okay well everyone loved the young girl in this maybe we should do another one like that's at work it's that but it can't be that because Force awakens wasn't out yet when they cast or started shooting this yeah this seems pretty far along doesn't it yeah it comes out at the end of the year it's like it was shot before

Force awakens came out definitely unless they are doing it intentionally case okay fine I guess what weird yeah okay I don't seem doing attention I know what they did was uh episode 8 and N got a bit of a rewrite because because people liked Finn and and they went we need to have them in this more so some of the extra characters aren't getting quite a big apart which is the opposite of what people were apparently complaining about yeah yeah so now the film came out and everyone was like we want more of those characters that we didn't want yeah classic internet I'm still upset for the internet for screwing up my Xbox what happened to your Xbox with the whole thing I can't share my digital games if the internet just shut up would be much better place a man

one out of the way uh some uh some people at the studio uh where they're making the new Ghost in the Shell liveaction remake have come out and said that uh they're using CGI to make white actors look more Asian to which the internet said you [ __ ] serious where where are they coming from which side are they upset about the fact that they're getting white characters to place that are getting Hing Asian characters or just the fact that they're making them Asian like character asan I think it was a test right that they they've said that it was abandoned cuz it it didn't work but I'm like I mean I would have thought almost immediately upon conceiving of the idea that it was a bad idea yeah yeah that's right when we were sitting around the table and

somebody went we we could just use computers to make the white people look Asian and then there'd be an awkward pause and then somebody'd say anyone else can't see all going yeah okay let's try that and then they get the results in and everyone's like hm yeah no that is that is racist uh yeah you think someone in that group would bring up that recent arm Egyptian movie and all the feedback that got Gods of Egypt yeah now that is a weird thing to do it it's it's a long tradition in Hollywood to uh to just cast white people no matter what the subject matter I that's just what they it's good or bad that's what they do uh maybe they would have copped less Flack if they changed the setting of this so it wasn't still set in Japan yeah oh is it still set in Japan yeah

know I mean maybe maybe there's nothing wrong with this I don't know it is weird was it the uh the Snow White yeah movie where they cast uh you know like made digital midgets just yeah exactly well they didn't right they made digital dwarves right and I guess it is an odd one that because they're not you know little people they're dwarves they're mythical creatures not you know dwarves exist right but I'm saying they weren't those kind of dwarves they were the mythical creature dwarves right yeah is there or is there actually not a distinction that you're supposed to make I don't feel qualified to comment actually I don't know that is a legit that is a genuine question right if I say oh you know the dwarves and Lord of

of how the money is is sorted here we go Sloan is seeking $30 million in compensatory damages 90 million in punitive damages and 50 million for pain and suffering he's also demanding a jury trial I didn't know you could do that listen right this guy was put up for adoption yep shortly after his birth right when you if you're put up for adoption when you grow up if your father isn't a multi-millionaire celebrity are you allowed to sue them or is it only because it's William Shatner that this guy I mean it's a little suspicious isn't it are you is it is it normal this is exactly the line of thinking I was going like yeah is it normal for someone who's adopted to sue their parents for damages is that

adoption cuz yeah to me the mother should also be on here well she probably doesn't have $170 million so no point like Shatner is denying this obviously in fact I don't think he's made any comment on it other than stop it go away seems like yeah um this guy says that Shatner admitted that he was his father on the set of TJ Hawker in 1984 yeah and then Sloan followed up with a phone call Days Later Shatner became agitated and hung up yeah like first of all How would how would Shatner even know yeah yeah right because he would have been years old at that point and if Shatner didn't even know he was the father I.E the mother never told him raised the you know had the baby herself decided she couldn't raise the baby on her own and put the baby up for adoption

here's a letter from William Shatner's lawyer dear Peter I had another conversation with Bill who confirmed me once again that he is not your father there have been many people over the years who have claimed to be his children or other relatives he is an incredibly busy 80-year-old man and is not interested in spending time discussing this issue with you or any such individuals all of your actions including the use of my client's valuable name and likeness without her approval are at your own risk yeah so that's the point I was going to make is that this guy has just taken it upon himself to to call himself Peter Shatner and he's using his alleged uh father's name to make a name for himself we started a radio show in Tampa and he's

basically just telling everybody he's William Shatner's son can you imagine listening to a radio station that's nothing but a guy telling you that he's William Shatner's son I wouldn't listen to the actual son of William Shatner do that on the radio let alone this guy but he also owns Peters shercom which you read reged in 2009 he's complaining that uh that Shatner's social media director posted malicious lious and slanderous statements about the plaintiff Sloan on Facebook and Twitter and he also says that Twitter and IMDb Pro have shut down accounts related to him that's because you're not William Shatner's son yeah I mean and and if we're splitting hairs your name is not Peter Shatner oh that's not actually what he's suing for what he's not suing

what he the damage he incurred are the plain's Lost production loss of the production of the film therapute Community by direct actions of the defendant who sought to destroy the reputation of the plaintiff and loss of the ability to earn income from the use of the name penis shat now which has been the plenti brand brand in quotation marks since 2009 that's what he's suing for so he suing because Shatner told him to stop using his name yes wow well that either way that's fine it's not his name I want to be on that jewelry yeah he's basically saying like I'm I'm using I'm decided to go under his name cuz I am his son and then so and because he's running around saying he's William sh's son and so taking his

name and they come no you're not so stop using that he's lost business because of that cuz that's his brand so uh yeah he start something because Dad wasn't around when he was growing up right all right fine that makes more sense I guess sort of but still yeah sort of it's still still a weird situation it's still he's trying to profit off the fact that William Shatner is or isn't his dad you know what I mean yes how did he even get on to I that I haven't been able to find okay I will read this later because it's it's very amusing we'll follow up on this let's move on to something else all right what do we got what do we got that's interesting well blizzard fans aren't happy still no we talked about uh last

week you weren't you weren't around Danny but we discussed how uh there was a third- party server for World of Warcraft because uh as you may or may not know because I don't think you've ever played World of Warcraft have you no no so World of Warcraft has changed a lot over the years and there were a lot of people who who liked the way it was in the beginning and and so some industrious people started private servers which you could con connect to with the World of Warcraft client and just play it how it was in the beginning like older older you know an older version of it sure uh and then on April 10th this year uh the the the biggest one of those servers known as nostras had 150,000 active members it was shut down after a

threat of legal action by blizzard and so uh people are really really upset about it still actually and there's now a petition and and people trying to drum up a bunch of you know support to to get blizzard to change their stance on this and they're yeah they're saying you know World of Warcraft was more fun in the past uh so they want blizard to bring it back I guess it's such a weird argument and saying this is how it is I'm sorry that you liked it better the other way but that's not the world we live in thanks yeah like story The Warcraft is as it is now and it's it's copyright and it's our product and yeah it's the reality of I don't think they'll change their mind I find that unlikely or either that or they'll go 150,000 people

who be willing to pay for for an old service 150,000 I'm not even sure subscribers they got now I'm not sure that they would consider that a big audience it sort of is now with W W's not having the million concurrent users it once was yeah no that's true I was I was about to say it doesn't sound like many but I don't know how many they have now yeah I don't know well there you know there's a Warcraft movie coming out that might boost uh players ship who knows that's that's true as well actually maybe [ __ ] stupid I wonder if that's why theyve finally done this right because because I presume this server has been around for a very long time right because the the game came out in 2004

originally I think and uh and so it got changed first I think with what the burning Crusade the the first expansion and it's been a while since then so yeah I wonder if this is a reaction to the film like like they didn't care so much before but now the movie's coming out and they're expecting kind of an influx so they're like better hit the these nails on the head you know what I mean h interesting well they originally got hit by a bit of attack which might have been retaliation for this I don't know if you heard about this it was basically um you weren't able to log on to the Blizzard servers for a little while cuz just a distributed denial servers attack that happened just after these servers went

down a couple days later right so they love this game so much that they don't want anyone else to play it ever again now well I don't know if that's the direct reason but it could be such a weird attitude it works for jealous boyfriends kill their exgirlfriends yeah okay fair enough yeah I don't know it's like [ __ ] you you made something I like I kind of get it but I kind of don't get it I mean look th this this is the the world that we live in now in terms of media content especially with games it changes things go out of compatibility and never return again you know what I mean like there some old games that I'll never get to play again

that I enjoyed that's just bad luck for me it's not like in the old days where you had a book and then that book was just that book forever you know it's not like the book had updates and you couldn't read the original book anymore although that kind of did happen I guess what happens if you just buy I by the base level of World of Warcraft now without any of the expansions well uh I was going to I have one expansion I have the burning Crusade so I don't know I guess I mean well the game is free completely free up to level 20 something now I think so I don't know I think you just can't play as certain uh races in the game okay so you can still sort of travel everywhere and do everything so it's I was just

saying like may maybe just make a second account we've just the um the base level installed and there you go oh I know that's the game is still different though okay like the game the mechanics of the game have been changed like over time like so I don't think it's I don't think that quite will work well I just found out so 150,000 last year don't F hasn't really been talking about wow subscribers a lot lately but last number I could find was like 5 a half million that's quite a lot so per month that's that's times that by 10 times 12 that's how much they make a year off it yes I think it's 10 bucks a month right was it 15 I think it's 15 so it's still quite a lot of money and then if you put their other games on top of

that they they're fine for money so this 100,000 people they're not really too worried about yeah I think they're all right they're fine they're doing fine y okay so you managed to give plague a go yeah play G was really fun uh and I played it a couple of times and then I beat it and then I was like playing it one more time and I was like yeah I'm probably done with this it's a good pick up and put down game but you can't play it a lot yeah like it's not something I'm going to sit there and play for a week but every now and again I'll Lo up and I'll have a game yeah it's a casual game if I'm on a plane I might put it on yes yeah cuz it

actually is quite fun yes it's actually good cuz there's um things where you can try and get like um China to Nuke America and things like that right just the way you play or maybe it's the other way around let someone nukes someone I haven't been able to do that yet I'm trying to yeah okay well that's interesting cuz I kind of once I figured out the trick of basically just making your your plague really um contagious but light on the symptoms and then when it spreads everywhere just piling on the symptoms so that everyone dies I was kind of like oh well yeah I don't you know I'm just going to be doing that from now on no it is really game because it's quite easy to do that and it's also especially when you're playing on sort the lower levels it's

really a game that you really do need to put the hardness up yeah play at the normal level maybe play with a different few of different diseases cuz yeah as you know it's very easy Once you work it out I just infect everyone and then I kill them it's very easy but there's it has to be a game where you have to be prepared to lose to play and have fun I think yeah if that makes sense yeah you got to make it heart of yourself yeah yeah yeah know I'm having fun with it I noticed it was on the Xbox still and I was like oh I have it on the Xbox and oh wait no that's Luke's copy I can't actually play it so yeah you can install it if you want thanks I needed an achievement I know I know how you going you still keeping up your um yep I just just

ticked over I'm still going strong H so I'm now in the period 15 now you go when are you going away I go away on the 5th of May uh how are you going to maintain that while you're away well while I'm away won't actually be a problem cuz I've got two it's going to be in Japan they have I have two bonuses have [ __ ] in Japan yeah but he's going to have to play your games like Windows phone yeah I have a Windows phone with me so I'll just be able to use that are you going to have do you do you need internet connection to get achievements oh there'd be free Wi-Fi over there wouldn't there oh probably in Japan I assume Japan is more free Wi-Fi than any other place in the plan yeah that's what I'm thinking um so the games on the

phone aren't that much but I've got two bonuses I can use at any stage one's for extra 500 points that basically just boost my numbers for that week and the other one is a safety net where I basically go I'm going on holidays for a week you don't look at so I'm not counted in this week at the competition and I just move straight on to the next one all right so that should keep me going for the two weeks I'm the way H can you just do that every week and then win no cuz you can only get one of them all right fine but no the one I'm wor about is the getting an achievement a day that really may suffer but it's okay because I fly out on the 5th of May yeah I hit one year on the 5th of

May right so I I'm really just trying to make that year what time do you fly out uh 6 o' at night okay so you've got all day on the 5th to have your final day of getting achievements every day yep just to get yep just get one achievement and then a whole year I've got an achievement a day so you just to just to recap that what you're saying is that you have gotten an achievement a day every day this year for the past year yes that's fairly impressive 350 days at the moment wow in that 350 days I have got 3,271 achievements that's impressive yeah like I'm I'm sure there's somebody out there who's not impressed by that but I don't I think all of our listeners

probably would be if they cared um I'm in Japan for 2 weeks nice I'm going to be there in July yeah right nice I've never been to Japan I'd love to go neither neither have I no my first time there as well yeah place I would love to go you have to let us all know what it's like Luke I will do you want me to try and record stuff while I'm there yeah we need to figure that out I guess too also listeners hope hopefully we're going to have a special treat for you next week probably too late by the time you hear this to participate in this but uh you'll be able will I would say almost definitely the case yeah considering this will have happened already but uh next week's episode is hopefully going to be a little treat for you all you're are going to get to experience Luke's
