so for the first time in the history of this podcast I'd like to open an episode by saying one of the hosts is not here holy [ __ ] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy heads will Spin and the only reason why I really noticed this because it of gets forgotten is because Luke likes to have the first word yeah so rather than it just being you and I waiting for the other one to speak I thought I'd jump in and say that Luke is on his mysterious Trip To America that he teased us about to go to uh the E3

press conference he's going to he's not going to E3 proper he's going to the Microsoft keynote thing the presentation and then some other stuff he's been very vague uh he's been incredibly vague and we got a lot of Snapchats if anyone follows us on social media that were also a lot of posts on Instagram of him getting ready and getting on the plane yeah but absolutely nothing since he's landed yeah so [ __ ] knows where he is uh the Microsoft conference is today the presentation today it's possible that he was so jet lagged cuz I mean it is a long flight and it does mess you up cuz that time difference is a killer it's possible he's just been asleep this whole time that is true yeah so hopefully he'll

resurface and E3 is on right now uh and all most of I think most of the conferences are in the next couple days so uh next week when he's back we should have quite a lot to talk about yeah unless they don't announce anything in which case oh well yeah I mean I looked up what pre-order bonuses were coming with Red Dead Redemption about you're the [ __ ] part of the problem Dan free- order bonuses [ __ ] off no I I I looked at what they were so that I could get mad if they uh yeah good good all right that's fine then [ __ ] don't lump me in with that Matt don't love me with those guys no no I was literally trolling the list going okay different colored horse fine no type of gun okay I don't give a [ __ ] about that just don't change just

change my gaming experience don't me don't let me miss out on story somebody else [ __ ] bought it first yeah is it cheaper to pre-order it cuz that's a bit of a [ __ ] too cuz it's like it's cheaper if you want to buy it without knowing whether it's good or not like come on well that's what I used to love about when you used to pre-order games from actual game shops would be that they charge you what they think it's going to be and if you wanted to pick it up and jby highi had it for cheaper they'd give you a little bit of a refund yeah and if it was [ __ ] you could just take it back yeah that's true you can do that on Steam now I think you can is that right yeah you can get a refund you got to have played less than a certain number of hours though and so for some games I

mean it's hard to tell like yeah games are very long cuz for me it's really if uh cuz if it starts from when you've purchased it I mean it could be months before I get to anything years before I even play the damn thing yeah yeah I've got so many games I've not touched cuz I'm idiot and I just keep buying them yeah I mean I've uninstalled most of my Steam games just I don't need them sitting there I'll download them again when I should do it with my Xbox I have a huge external hard drive on my Xbox with like just every game installed I don't need them on there like does sound awesome though yeah but it's also you get Choice paralysis because I'll I'll jump on there and like I've been playing a lot of Conan with you obviously lately and uh and and I'm

playing breath of the Wild on my switch so that's fine but the other day Conan wanted you know a 10 gig update and I was like oh yeah I guess I'll see what else I've got and it's just it's this sea of games that I'm like [ __ ] I don't even know and then I'm just going to sit here and wait for the update cuz I just don't know yeah yeah no I agree I can't play more than one game at once anyway just can't just don't have the attention span yeah you know what you can't play on Steam uh you can't play play AIDS simulator not anymore anymore no I'm I'm kind of disappointed that uh that I didn't get a look at this game before uh and I wonder if probably not is my guess Matt probably not in fact I would say that um the de that that made this game which I think is called Bunch O Bros or

something like that uh is is probably just [ __ ] trying to be as provocative as they can because they released simulator and Isis simulator as well oh great I mean at least Isis simulator would probably be a little bit more action packed I don't know depends although maybe the AIDS simulator starts off with a lot of lot of cool stuff and then just yeah then just dos being cool yeah because Isis simulator could just be a lot of propaganda just sit there and be angry who knows they've also got one called asset flip simulator and really sound I mean that doesn't sound provocative at all well that's I I wondered if that's what they're doing you know you install unity and you go on the unity asset store and buy a bunch of

pre-made [ __ ] and just Loosely Cobble together a game and then sell it so you could just do that well you don't need a simulator just do it make some money yep well I mean you don't need a simulator to have AIDS either Matt but here we are no you don't uh I imagine a simulator is probably this well the same or similar to uh play gink and a lot of those games you could probably just play one of those they're actually good games so yeah play in is is quite good um I think even even as a a game as kind of uh how would you describe it it's it's not a personal game you know it's just numbers yeah right but but even if

you just just making it a instead of some unknown virus well you can name it aids in in plague simulator I assume unless they true I uh ban certain keywords I always just named it clients that I hate sure yeah I just named it Dan oh no no not you obviously no no no just this other Dan that I don't like yeah and listeners if your name's Dan it's not you either I love you all it's that it's that other are you talking about Dan the son son of Jacob in Old Testament I am actually how did you know yeah yeah I thought that's the day [ __ ] that guy hey yeah because of that the the party you know the thing he did with the with the table Yeah Yeah unnecessary well look speaking of AIDS we've had another

[ __ ] Celebrity Death de cathlon this week de cathlon and there weren't 10 really 10 no I I think I made that up but let's let's say the deck in in this de cathlon is decadence no that's not right either yeah Decay yeah yeah sure yeah it's just well it's just a big big week for depression I guess like Jesus this is like a [ __ ] dark week yeah celebrities just too depressed to go on fuing just hanging himself yeah so we' got uh that that woman who made the handbags yeah not familiar with her obviously look I have Kate Spade Cutlery in my kitchen at work and so as far as I know Kate Spade is the Cutler leag lady you tell me she makes bags then I'll believe you she was upset that she couldn't find her Cutlery and that's why she did

it oh you think I've got her actual Cutlery well I don't I don't know like stolen from her house it could be yeah I suppose look I've already said enough I've already said enough but the the yeah she uh she hanged herself and then um only yesterday we heard [ __ ] Anthony Bourdain yeah dead of AIDS and hanging and hanging yeah I feel like we need to think we need to clarify that the AIDS part is a joke because we don't comment on that anymore and people may not have heard episodes from like seven years ago three years ago yeah so where everyone was dying of AIDS look maybe that joke's not even funny anymore maybe it was never funny I don't know look here's the thing right I don't know if you're like me Matt but anytime I hear of a male dying of hanging show ESP in a

hotel room I just wonder whether they were jerking off yeah thinking of Michael Hutchins yeah or M or uh David kadine also jerked himself off to death yeah Jesus I mean you're got a good comment when he says look if you're jacking off and you start to die stop yeah it's tough though isn't it yeah I suppose when you're in the throws of it it's like F I think I'm going to die but you know what I am so like like Pringles just can't stop yeah so bouran I mean look I think we probably should have seen the warning signs started dating Asia Argento and that to me yes oh and I think when you start dating Asia Argento you've gotten about as low as you can get in your life what's wrong with Asia Argento I don't

know man she just seems a bit damaged well sure but she'd probably very nice oh yeah probably wouldn't mind hanging out with a dad yeah you said it like you were saying something something but you weren't yeah I genuinely would just like to hang out with Dario agento [ __ ] yeah Matt have you seen the trailer for the remake of susperia I have not yet I've been waiting because I thought Jenna would want to watch it with me and then I forgot pretty good yeah it looks pretty good yeah okay I mean this is one of my favorite old timey horror movies and obviously I was skeptical but uh you know it's out to prove me wrong by the look of it all right I'll uh see if we can check it out later on this evening but yeah I know I'm excited about that yeah speaking of old horror movies I

watched two old horror movies this week that I have a feeling you're probably a fan of either or both of these yes um so earlier in the week I watched the fly oh yeah with Jeff Goblin yep MH Jeff G and uh a young and quite attractive Gina Davis yes yeah yep uh pretty [ __ ] good movie that really liked it classic it's a Cronenberg right yeah it is Cronenberg at his [ __ ] disgusting as yes it's very gooey yeah and then this weekend um I watched another movie that I haven't seen since I was a kid I watched the thing oh [ __ ] that is such a good movie the thing is it might be one of John Carpenter's best and that's a a funny coincidence cuz we watched uh Escape From New York

oh wow the other night yeah which is also John car cool man in case you're wondering what the [ __ ] they have to do with each other cuz they're quite different it's the same director yeah same director and also the same star actually if you oh of course yeah gone down that path yeah something I never noticed obviously I was a kid I might not have even seen it yet but this the plot of the thing structurally is very very similar to the plot of alien yes yeah for sure a little more distrust yeah oh yeah yeah yeah yeah and I love that that's the best thing about it is the paranoia yeah yeah but just you know like someone's in trouble they check it out something gets brought back y then it starts to infiltrate people start dying it's uh yeah that [ __ ] scene

where they're testing everybody's blood is so good cuz it's just so tense and everyone's just ready to [ __ ] shoot someone I know so good yeah I I always thought seen in the start where the [ __ ] dog's head comes AP yeah he just couldn't do that anymore and the guy with the spider head the little the legs come out of the guy's head yeah I um I often think you know they they they made a Thing video game uh at one point I always thought I'm not quite sure how you would do it but and I know there is a board game of the thing maybe that captures this but I it would be good to capture that element uh sort of like I guess secret Hitler does it a little bit and and all those kind of games where somebody is the thing and you've got to figure out who it is and if you could

try and capture the like you said the paranoia and the the distrust and the finger pointing in a in a multiplayer game that would be excellent oh yeah that's true if you could somehow you could do it as a lop just have a whole bunch of people standing around gone [ __ ] trust you he's a [ __ ] alien but I it also made me think cuz it was similar to alien in just in a superficial way and then it occurred to me that his first movie was dark star which was written by Dan oanon who wrote Alien yeah Fair Point not that that has anything to do with anything but I found that interesting do you know the thing is a remake as well is uh I kind of I think I knew that but is it like of an old 50s drive-in movie yeah it's an old black and white kind of yeah 50s horror

house house yeah [ __ ] me so uh he was at home with his lawyer and his nurse two dudes arrived with guns yelling give me my [ __ ] money assume I like how it the article seemed to imply that at first everyone thought it was all above board and then and then someone was like wait a minute are they not supposed to be guys with guns in here a [ __ ] yeah so I [ __ ] God knows what stand has been up to just just reading this is the statement the official statement the men Clan Lee owed the money and arrived at the property to demand he pay them back um a source who witnessed the incident said things went bad following an angry confrontation between Lee and one of them so didn't things go bad when the two dudes with guns showed up at his

house it seemed like it was going all right but uh but then Stan said no so yeah those two guys with guns turned up just for a peaceful chat m d cus and [ __ ] by saying I don't know who you are get out of my house yeah [ __ ] leave Stan Lee alone unless he does owe somebody money in which case [ __ ] if he owes your money pay him back then yeah Stan you probably do owe some people money and some credit too let's let's be honest couple of artists out there who uh who would mind a little bit of a co-creation credit that you're holding back from from them but yep but I don't think it was Steve ditco and Jack Kirby with the guns outside his house I mean nothing in this article says anything about that no and

I'm was certainly not implying that Stanley had something to do with Jack Kirby's death definitely not yeah although you know prove that he didn't yeah y because that's how bur of proof works yeah that's right prove you didn't kill him did you uh so okay so maybe we don't go into this now but did you read the article that came out this week about Woody Allen written by Mia pharoh's son I I heard that it was out there and I don't I didn't read it but I did hear about it and he supported him right yeah yeah so I read it and he was basically saying I was there I was there the whole day everyone had already been pissed off about Woody so everyone was watching him real close he never raped anyone but then everyone saying well if you didn't

see it you know he's like well how can I prove something that didn't happen right anyway it it was an interesting read but we'll never we'll never know the truth I'd seen that that had come out yeah did you see uh See this thing about apparently Brad Pit threatened to [ __ ] murder Harvey Weinstein at one point I actually knew about this already oh okay it was back in the day when he was dating um GTH ptra yeah gwynth yeah and he apparently tried his trick on Gwyneth trying to get a massage yeah slash sex yeah and Brad and Brad was having none of that he confronted him at an event in front of people apparently and said if you [ __ ] touch her again I will kill you and at that point he was such a big star that that that actually had yeah yeah because not a lot of

people could because you you hear about people standing up to harv you all the time and actually just all thaten is their careers go away yeah yeah well I guess not now thank God but uh yeah yeah well no thank God but I I love that Brad Pit because I always think Brad Pit would be a kind of a cool guy you know what I mean I wonder about that too I mean I he definitely has that celebrity disconnect I'm I'm I'm sure of it just cuz his life I can't even I can't even imagine what his [ __ ] life is like but yeah yeah but he seems like I mean this guy's ugliest girlfriend was that girl from friends who plays the pretty one you know Jennifer Aniston that's it that's it y yeah she's she's the ugliest she's the

ugliest girl he's ever dated you know how many of his girlfriends are you familiar with oh I'm I'm familiar with the big ones okay who which of you are which of them are you the biggest fan of um well I know that he used to date uh Christ I'm getting old and I'm forgetting that girl from uh Married with Children blonde oh Christina Applegate yeah Christin Applegate Back In Married with Children days when he wasn't famous yet H uh they because he was because he was handsome yeah yeah and then Gwyneth I like Gwyneth yeah gwyneth's cool she seems cool yeah yeah but I've heard she's a bit weird well she is yeah she has that um is that company she runs now and they're up they're someone's suing them for fraud

or something like that it's some kind of uh a [ __ ] this is so uninformed all I know is that it's kind of like a hippie New Age company to do with food or something this is so uninformative goop is it called goop yeah goop biof frequency healing yeah there you go this sounds like one of those uh that's why I don't know what it is cuz it's [ __ ] horeshit cuz it's not anything yeah you just pay and then they remotely heal you with thoughts this sounds like that um business where you can actually um pay people now to look after your pets after the Rapture yeah I love that that's such a good business idea we should do that for Facebook yes wait we should start a business that when people get taken for the Rapture is

that what they call it they get taken you're going to be taken uh yeah taken or like summoned up to heaven you will be taken I'll look after your Facebook cuz I'm I'm going to be here don't worry about that when you say you look after it do you mean maintain it and like keep updating and stuff or do you just like abely delete it so that everything's gone we will take over your possessions and your Facebook and then you know we'll just tweet about it and and and post I don't think people are going to do that but I tell you what I'm starting a business right now it's 100 bucks in my pocket and if the Rapture comes I will go to your house and I will delete your browser history [ __ ] yeah yeah absolutely that's a bargain man 100 bucks for peace of

mind yeah you do need to have I think a a kind of a what you call it a dead man switch for some of that some of the Social Media stuff yeah yeah they have one on um on Facebook if you die you can transfer your account to somebody I think I think that's in the settings now but have a Facebook will I think I saw I'm I'm sure I've seen a setting for that either Facebook or or or on one of them but then how the [ __ ] do they know that you died like you someone must have to submit a form or something yeah if enough people write condolence messages on your wall maybe they get the they get the hint but then again I can think of uh some like High School online bullying that uh imagine they killed you right like everyone just [ __ ] go to Matt Ham's page tonight and say I'm

sorry that you died so Facebook [ __ ] put a memorial out I think I would find that funny I know that I would find that funny yeah you know but that's the thing because we're just like oh social media okay like whatever kids get really sensitive yeah I know they [ __ ] delete get popular enough oh KY Mar Tran yeah that's different sad because like I don't really like her but she doesn't deserve to be [ __ ] trolled online no well I don't F I don't know her I did I didn't like rose the character she portrayed I didn't like that movie fault [ __ ] man no it's she's got like she's just an actress like come on guys as far as I am concerned she did a perfectly good job of a terrible role yeah and uh

[ __ ] Star Wars Fanatics all over the world are like [ __ ] you Kelly Marie Tran yeah see I worry that as a as a non-fan of The Last Jedi like [ __ ] don't let me in with those [ __ ] like just don't Matt I'm only going to ask you this once mhm what did you say to Kelly Marie didn't say anything to her well that's not what she says is it oh she she just called me out specifically well that's a shame well I did say I did say that I didn't like her character I'm fairly certain I've never said anything about her as as a human being you you were like I objectively don't like your character you I don't remember saying that but you never know I do maybe I had a Rosanne moment

and uh and just forgot forgot to not be racist yeah she's deleted her Instagram uh I don't know if she had any other social media her Instagram's the one I've been seeing around cuz people were just being [ __ ] [ __ ] to her that sucks for like since it's been six months get over it you [ __ ] nerds like don't don't harass her don't harass Ryan Johnson Ryan Johnson I think has been getting the worst cuz he's turned all his comments and stuff off luckily if he just doesn't give a [ __ ] uh but [ __ ] stop it yeah just stop it it's not not cool no going harass anybody harass Kathy Ken yeah just kidding don't don't you want to lay blame that's uh that's where the F of blame will land although Matt don't

harass people I heard a rumor that she's going to step down which I find hard to believe I saw that but uh the internet is talking yeah I mean I can't think of why the interet says a lot of [ __ ] she's barely been there I imagine it's probably some on cuz there has been a lot of people aren't happy about the way Star Wars is going and you know look at the solo box office and and and the fan you know audience reaction to the The Last Jedi stay what you will about people's motives for not liking Last Jedi a lot of people just didn't like it and they were very vocal about it and and clearly people aren't into solo because no one's going to see it and so I think either that really is having an effect

or people just think maybe that's having an effect I don't know man if if the [ __ ] Executives over at DC didn't have to step down after [ __ ] oh God and pick one they did um they they did I mean Zack Snider is not involved with that anymore so they did no but we talk about solo doing badly but what what does it make solo box office take 14 million or something first weekend not not what they were hoping for Milli in the first week that's not the first weekend that's just the first week worldwide I mean cuz we talked about how we thought there were rumors a long time ago that they had just written this film off because of all not not because it's a bad film or anything like that but think about

all the bad press it got like of course they were worried and and of course that had an effect like this the the all the you know the the directors getting fired and all that kind of stuff everybody knew about it everyone was talking about it yeah everyone's talking about the acting coach exactly people thought this movie was going to be [ __ ] and it's affected the yeah but 100 200 million in the first week is still a [ __ ] profit you know what I mean like it it might not have gotten Last Jedi numbers yeah I was reading one article recently that was saying that if anyone who thinks the Last Jedi is going to ruin Star Wars and like bring it down forgets about The Phantom Menace I know seven films beyond that if if the

phantom menace couldn't ruin it then nothing will I'm guilty of that I I [ __ ] have no desire to watch the prequels ever again now that we've got some other stuff that's better even though I don't like it as much as the old stuff it's better than the I agree though it's it's it's okay to like Star Wars again yeah yeah I uh the other day was how did this come up across the stars came into my ears the music Across the stars from Attack of the CL Anakin and padme's Love Theme [ __ ] I'm so annoyed that that is in such a [ __ ] movie because it really is [ __ ] awesome music like that's the one thing about the prequels absolutely I mean it's literally the only good

thing about The Phantom Menace is the score and theore is amazing jeel of the Fates is [ __ ] iconic it's like but then you got to watch the movie So speaking of The Phantom Menace apparently Darth Ma I don't Mt just so you know I'm never watching it again spoilers I should have said spoilers and now that I've said spoilers and I said the name before people are going to know something's up so I apologize spoilers apparently spoilers for solo it was Ron Howard's idea to put Darth Ma in sort of yeah it was just a an unknown person originally and then he was like but hadn't uh hadn't kdan and kdan who wrote the script originally floated that it was going to be said that's what they call themselves

as a Duo well I don't know what they call him just call themselves by their Naman and son they they apparently had tossed it about themselves and then they just decided not to go with it then when uh when Roman Howard came on board and he was like look I got two I got two riders in my contract number one my weird demented deformed feret of a hunb brother needs to be in the movie yep and two what was that thing you said about Mo it's Darth Mo yeah think R Star Wars apparently they're not going to [ __ ] I don't know man yeah but I just think that um I think Ron Howard goes around to Steven Spielberg house every afternoon and just says Stephen what what did you do when you doing a St oh you haven't done one you haven't done a

Star Wars oh I've done a Star Wars I think Spielberg didn't want to right no I'm sure he was asked spel was asked to do Jedi yeah I think someone said that they he discussed doing one of the prequels but then he was like [ __ ] I'm not getting involved with that yeah [ __ ] hell George is my friend but I don't want to work with him anymore yeah except that's I'm joking obviously cuz they're doing Indiana Jones 5 now yeah well they've got a got an opportunity to uh redeem themselves don't they yeah look the only I mean I've got no problem with him being back I mean he was a good character the only thing about me is that that that's a lot of assumed knowledge because you have to know that he came back in the in the kids cartoon series and that to me was

never something Star Wars did the movies were always the movies you could only watch them and you would know enough cuz either you assume he that's not him for starters that's some other um what are they called his Red Man his species I forget red another red faced man or you just don't know what the [ __ ] going on like yeah or yeah you're doing what I did and was going with was nine when he was killed so uh that would make uh Han Solo 20 years older than Darth Vader y maybe so we do have we got some other followup yeah yeah we do briefly I don't want cuz I don't want to talk about this horrible looking film too much uh Sesame Street instantly lost their lawsuit against the Happy Time murders and uh

and that's done yeah that's done the judge said uh actually I don't think anyone uh will watch the Happy Time Murders trailer and think it's an actual Sesame Street episode so no no not a lot of uh Silly String jizz in Sesame Street probably less probably L yeah less yeah most likely movie looks so bad yeah I don't want to just be one of those people that hates on uh j hate on jizz I'm Pro jiz Pro jiz Pro is that a movement um the pro jiz movement sure is what do we want Che when do we want it now do we want it all over an office have we talked about that um anti-masturbation
