Australia yeah there you going yeah there's a good yeah I like that Red Dead Redemption you got going there hanging out in the old old west east of the West in the mountains well I am from the West that's true that's true we all are y yeah you can't really not be west of Sydney uh If we're honest can live in the Eastern suburbs it's hard not to live in syney you could live north or south of it or New Zealand the western suburbs the Eastern suburbs otherwise known as New Zealand yes so you have you finished it already is that what you're saying I'm finished I'm just completing the epilog now [ __ ] H right now how many many I no you guys did talk about playing games while we record this podcast I didn't

realize we started that already um I've I don't know I've probably put in a good 50 hours at least gosh over wish I had 50 hours to play this thing I was going to say that's today would have been 13 hours straight that's how much work I I'm at work every week yeah in one year maybe I'll play 50 hours of this game yeah exactly all you need to do is to go get surgery okay go on and take and basically take what I think five or six weeks off work and then you have plenty of time yeah yeah well we talked about it a little bit last week but I was anyone who had played it yet so it wasn't wasn't the most uh scintillating discussion I don't think but so what do you guys think of it um it takes a lot of getting used to

having to ride a horse everywhere well you've had a lot of time uh to get used to it yes yeah but you do ride a horse a lot of the time so I'm I'm sure you did get used to it right uh you you don't I I never did it was especially towards the end of the game there was a lot more riding than there was at the start when you say you've got to get used to it do you mean you're finding it difficult or do you mean you just have to wrap your head around the fact there's no cars it's it's well sometimes you you go all right I'm going to start a mission and it's on like the other side of the map it's go okay so I've Got 5 minutes and then I'll start the next mission type of thing can you fast travel at some point I know from what I understand once you've built

something in the camp you can fast travel is that right yeah you can actually build it so from the camp you can fast travel from Camp to towns yeah you can't just fast travel from anywhere M like you have to get to a town and then you get a stage coach or a train to another town okay it's not like in the first one I think if you camped you could then fast travel you can't do that or well I'm really hoping not and not that I've just missed that cuz I'm pretty sure in the first Red Dead Redemption if you wanted to fast travel you could set up a camp and then you could just travel to anywhere yeah I remember fast travel being a lot yeah a lot faster in the first one this one I don't think it's there at all cuz I said last week that I

felt you know I only played a couple hours of it but I felt like I spent a lot of that time watching people ride horses so that continues so that continues now what's going to happen now one thing I did that does make it a bit nicer is you can actually when riding with a group of people go into cinematic mode yeah but still I mean I want to play the game it looks prettier yeah I'm sure it does but I want to play it now what I found is at the start of the game there's a lot of horse riding when you get there and then you start to unlock a lot of the Fast Travel stuff yeah okay so you can sort of and I was going okay I'll go to this town to get over to here and then ride there but then towards the end of the game you got to start riding again which yeah is a bit annoying but

the other Red Dead did that too at the end of Red Dead that it kind of swung back around to being less action-packed than it did at the start yeah cuz you get back to the homestead and then it's like oh go up into the mountains and fetch this thing and then go drop off that's what I'm actually up to at that's what I did at the start when I was learning to play why am I doing it again now go help Bob I've been having shootouts and everything yeah Luke do you go to me in this one no you don't that's a shame Mexico was my favorite part of Red Dead one you go up to Canada in this red dead to you should call him via Cuba okay you catch a a ship to Australia they do talk about going to

Australia really yeah they talk about going to Australia or Tahiti hell I just made that up guys if you've got the option Tahiti all the way instead of Australia [ __ ] Australia got nothing man so it was really weird sort of seeing cuz playing through this and you sort of remembering the first one about how you had to go kill kill your old gang yeah yeah as J Mar and sort of trying remembering that and remembering these characters as they come in and play out it's actually quite interesting I because your character from the old game does have a does have a role in this he's actually yeah very much in it cuz I yeah I i' I've seen him and I was like oh that's the guy from oh that's right these guys were in the other one but then I don't remember anything about

them yeah that's my stance also yeah but they they do play a very major part throughout the story well not a major part but they are in it I was going to say does it remind you of what they did but you can't cuz it's in the past like it's a prequel so it would be weird if it like yeah look I'm uh I'm still fairly close to the start of this game because I only started playing today and the reason I only started playing today was because I started downloading it yesterday morning uh and it took all godamn day to download So Yesterday was a right off man uh but I have started playing it today so far so good it's uh more of the same a little a little more polished perhaps uh but I'm enjoying it but what I would like to know is so far it's a

lot of a lot of Team stuff a lot of group activities whereas in the first game what I really liked about it was that I was kind of you know solo just going around doing my thing and I like to play these kind of open world games like super solo yeah does it get to a point where I can play like that or is it kind of yeah it does yeah yeah it does it sort of drops in and out okay okay you'll be running around with your gang for a bit yeah that's where this one's different like in the first one there was no gang well there was a gang but you were out to try and they were out to try and kill you yeah yeah I felt the same I was like oh do I have to do this kind of it's not even multiplayer it's like their Ai and they're not I mean they're kind of I don't know it's a little less

you can kind if there's a shootout you can kind of just hide behind a tree and they'll take care of it it's not the you know it can I find it can make it a little less interesting you know you know what I mean though like mhm sure you can just sit there and then they'll they'll take out all the bad guys running like Leroy Jenkins yeah so do I I just yeah I left it today might be there all day they are not the greatest shots no fair one thing I did found different there was not as much jeweling as it was in the the first oh sure yeah the where you were your Dead Eye your Dead Eye yeah that's I didn't I basically throughout the entire game I did not use the Dead Eye function at all I did I did I got into a fight with

someone at least yeah I've had like a couple of jewels and I had think about four throughout the entire game which I don't know thought that were just bit more maybe pissed a lot more people off last time Luke maybe the open world is pretty great I don't know you may not have gotten up to to because if you said you haven't been out on your own you maybe haven't discovered this yet D but it's like the map is pretty [ __ ] big and there seems like there's like a lot of just like Wilderness random but also kind of I mean they are pre scripted little encounters you can you can have yeah keep an eye out for them some of them are quite good great yeah like you bump I bumped into people and and like you know just some guys like get down off that horse and and

come over here and say that and then I'm like all right so you get down and they have like that's when you've ridden down to warington yeah EXA just like lots of little things like that and I'm like oh W that was really cool and then but then accidentally I've like got into a fight and killed someone I shouldn't have and then I'm like oh [ __ ] is that going to affect the game later like oh one thing that I don't know if this happens to you but to me I just keep running into trees and cing off my horse I saved a c of that my horse just [ __ ] ran into a boulder and I went flying off a cliff it was it was hilarious it was annoying but hilarious yeah I've done this quite a few times yeah also I love the way when you if you run uh up to like the door of a shop and he [ __ ] kicks the door in

and runs in and the shopkeeper goes morning that made me laugh [ __ ] burst in good top of the morning to I don't know why he's Irish I don't know what's going there were Irish people in the old west yep yeah plenty of them what okay but just how big this map is like I've pretty much I've finished the game I'm just finishing up the few little Missions at the end of the epilog there's still like a quarter of the map I've not been to like at all also it seems like people tell you about stuff like you just hear conversations people go oh have you seen you know Bob's hiding his daughter up in that old mansion or whatever but and there's no Quest or anything but there's just lots of you have to actually go

find you can find it and it's is one is is there a guy hiding his daughter in a mansion oh is there what is that a real Quest or you just you're just paraphrasing that that is I'm it's a real thing that I'm I am paraphrasing it but that there is a didn't get to that one yeah there is a quest like that I I know you haven't done everything because you you've just basically focused on the main story right so I'm sure there's still plenty of game that you haven't encountered yet but I haven't [Applause] guess I guess I guess like high school all over again yeah he's he's heard you can have sex with women but he just hav't figured out

how to do it I don't know how it works Dan like I've been trying and I've been really looking forward to doing it um I'm trying to find now so you haven't found the do sex button no that's that game by um continually tapex do sex do sex X but yeah I'm enjoying it I'm looking forward to playing more and I really do I do wish I had some time off where I can uh just just [ __ ] play this I'm I'm going to be interested to see if either of you finish the game uh I finished the first one soan means nothing and by the first one you mean the second one right because the first one was a sequel yeah yeah why are we doing that why are we calling this Red Dead Redemption 2 why aren't we coming

up with a third r word well I think because Red Dead Revolver which was the first one it was a different kind of game and it wasn't made by Rockstar they bought it uh I think and finished it because the the first company went out of business yeah the first problem was Red Dead Revolver they could this this could be like Red Dead retribution or Red Dead resistance or like I just don't understand why they just went with Red Dead Redemption when finish you'll see oh really yes you'll understand if you play through it all someone actually says well this sure been a Red Dead Redemption too exactly looks like looks like John's going to be seeking some Red Dead Redemption too yeah I have some bad news

mhm we cannot hire prostitutes to have sex with in the game the closest you can get is something that I have had I got a deluxe bath is that like an erotic massage it's like a happy ending massage is it the no heavy ending what's the return policy on the Xbox store but yeah you can have a bath and then a lady will come in and go would you like some help in there and for 50 cents you can get her to wash you The Price is Right Rockstar listen up okay in uh in [ __ ] Mass Effect 2 I [ __ ] a bird alien okay that had to read up on how a human and a bird alien can [ __ ] before we could do it okay like if I can't [ __ ] human to human this is a

wasted opportunity it's sort of weird strange how roxar doesn't do it old west man I should be able to [ __ ] my horse if I'm out in the wilderness too [Laughter] long yeah you can shoot it can't have sex with it what did you name your horse Doge ah I'm not even that far yet clearly I'm not far enough to have named my horse or I just didn't realize I was supposed to it was between that and roach I was going to I was going going to go with roach as kind of a you know a witchy joke but it yeah so um I I named my for I've named my first horse Grover and then that one died and I named my second horse my horse and me so Grover from Sesame Street yeah Grover was my favorite character and I feel that Grover gets

overlooked a lot when people are talking about s people talk about Big Bird and these days they talk about Elmo that wasn't even a character when we were kids but Grover was the [ __ ] man yeah actually my favorite was Oscar Oscar to the gr yeah yeah yeah didn't name your horse Oscar though did you I might name my horse Oscar there you go the they will live on speaking of naming animals I um I bought a dog oh yeah I I have a dog now I don't pick him up till later this week yeah but uh but I paid for this dog it's so strange how in Singapore you can get a dog but you cannot get a cat yeah technically you're not allowed to

have a cat it's true really yeah in some circumstances you can but you're not allowed to have a cat if you live in an apartment and every one lives in an apartment wait so you can have a dog in an apartment but not a cat yeah but you can only have certain dogs in certain Apartments too it's like if you if you have a certain type of apartment you can only have a dog under 10 kog and there's a sliding scale yeah what what is do you know what is the the reason for the no cat rule I think it's because the rest of Southeast Asia has just [ __ ] feral cats everywhere and they just don't want to be like that I just curious like almost all the laws in Singapore are so they don't become like all the countries around

Singapore yeah it'd be like if Australia passed laws just to not be like New Zealand sure no films about midgets on quests yeah we're not trying to be like New Zealand they're trying to be like us yeah do we have any New Zealand listeners I doubt it yeah but anyway I get to name a dog which is going to be what you what are you going to call it really was like super psyched and was like trying to pitch to H that we call the dog Ridley oh uh but she didn't go for it um is it a boy or a girl it's a boy it's a boy boy if it was a girl I might have gone withy right yeah but she wasn't into it did you say Baron von Munch Housen no Frederick Munch okay very specific all right that's quite a good name Frederick's a good name not Baron Den Frederick come on be

stupid just thinking of the Terry Gilliam movie bar so you get my least favorite Terry Gilly movie I do I get him this week cool yeah he's gonna be my dog man he's going to be my dog but I've not had a dog you know what I mean one thing push him over and of course I will first I'll give him one for you and then I'll I'll give him my own from then on uh when was a kid there were dogs in my backyard uh but they were never allowed in the house and I never really felt like they were my dogs they were just my family's pets that lived in the backyard so this is going to be like I'm going to be one of those people that like only goes to cafes that like allow dogs you know what I mean

sure as there places you can walk the dog Yeah man so we're surrounded by Parks here in our building parks on all sides so yeah excellent yeah very cool he's going to love it yeah I'm excited excited little Luke's going to love it [Laughter] um you mentioned you I mean there's a couple of things we could go to from what you just because you mentioned Ridley and then you mentioned Ripley we could do either of those where do you want to go well I know the uh I know the Ridley news I didn't realize there was Ripley news today except as I'm saying it I've just realized what you meant yeah it's quite it's loose not Ripley news specifically let's talk about that let's go straight into R new let's go straight to that I need to hear the

story because this is followup this is this is this is news and followup yeah so listeners uh you will recall we've had some for some reason we've had a bunch of Terminator news I I read Arnold Schwarz nig's biography and it got me interested in the Terminator movies again so I rewatched them and then all of a sudden there Terminator news is coming out well it's not it's not for some reason it's it's that you read the biography you've just explained why there's been a lot of Terminator news no effect Matt yeah but it doesn't coming from out external forces it it is though I didn't I didn't create the news I'm not the because we talked last week we do create the new though but we talked last week about how they they all these people came out and said oh they almost

didn't make Terminator and then there's like those pictures of Lance henrikson as the Terminator that got released the other week and it's like oh it's I didn't have anything to do with that like how do they know that I'm suddenly interested in Terminator and they're presenting me with termin more importantly you then got to yes so we we have talked before about how Lance henrikson was going to play the Terminator and how we thought that would been really great and then Dan you said that you had read somewhere an anecdote about how he had put tinfoil on his teeth to to audition for The Terminator right and we were like that's fantastic I wonder if it's true well yesterday I met Lance

henriksson yeah and I asked him if that I not believe that you asked him my God I I wonder if anyone like journalist general public or anyone has ever asked him about that I got the impr what was his reaction before you even tell me what his answer was what was his reaction security when you asked him hey bro did you put foil on your teeth when you auditioned for the Terminator so first of all he was he's so nice right and we were just chatting cuz he's been he loves Australia cuz he could tell by my accent I was from Australia we're just chatting and stuff like that and I said I said hey uh like I said he was really friendly and you know laughing getting along and I said is it true that you put tin foil on your teeth and audition for The Terminator and he

laughed and he said yeah that is true I did do that whoa and he goes not only he said not only that Jim because because we call James Cameron Jim yeah Jim he said Jim told him Jim because Jim wanted him to do it but he had to sell the producers on it because apparently they wanted Arnold Schwartz [ __ ] he goes he goes the guy couldn't even speak English at that point and then Lance said that to you yes and then he goes he said so all right he wanted to make an impression so he put the tin foil on his teeth and not only that he kicked the [ __ ] door in and like burst in and scared the [ __ ] out of the secretary and he was just [ __ ] menacing these producers like being the Terminator they said they turned to James camera and they said anyone but

that guy no oh my God and that's why he plays a police officer in that amazing and he does a great job he does a great job of that role of course yeah but man I wanted to see him with [ __ ] metal teeth kicking indoors yeah so yeah so that's Terminator Terminator out of the way but Lance has been in a lot of other [ __ ] we love he's been an alien he's been a millennium I as him about aot ask we're talking and then Jenna started asking stuff and he goes at one point he goes you guys know a lot about movies oh yeah can we please put that on the poster okay for this show like [ __ ] multiple nerdgasm quote you guys know a lot about movies Lance HRI so I asked him about Alien 3 cuz that it's a topic I find very

interesting just that the story behind that film if you don't know the story behind that film listen to there's a necronom episode Jenna and I did we did an episode of necronom about uh about the Alien series so you can hear about that but uh the short version is David Fincher directed Alien 3 uh he was unhappy with it very unhappy with it it got changed and mixed around and messed up and that um and at the end of the film those who I mean if you haven't seen it this is not going to mean a lot to you but Lance henrikson shows up at the end of the film if you you guys recall and there's some question about what the [ __ ] going on because he plays an Android in the other films but in this one he gets injured and he's

bleeding and you're like what the [ __ ] and he's not he's not bleeding milk cuz yeah he's you're supposed to there's some question as to is he a human is he like the guy that Androids are based on or is that a lie that they're using to trick Ripley so I asked him about it I said what's the deal with that is that really is is that whan is that that the guy the bishop series is based on that kind of thing and he goes you know what happened they called me up and said do you want to do another one and I said nah not really interested and they said come over to England have a cup of tea spend a day on set and then go home and I and he said all right fine I'll do it and he goes and and that's all I know about it wow he said yeah he's he got he's he bleeds and uh and yeah that that you're

supposed to kind of go what does that mean he goes but I don't know I don't know what it means I'm not sure where they were going with that did they also answer the story with if if AVP is Canon yeah he doesn't he's not a fan of those films he said he wishes he had anything Canon Now isn't it and he said he doesn't he doesn't like the new ones either he said he's glad he's not in the new ones like Prometheus he doesn't like Prometheus he didn't like Prometheus he thought it was it was uh he didn't like what they do with the Android which I thought was I I mean I liked David a lot but he didn't he didn't like that and he really didn't like it's interesting that he has opinions on the Androids but you know what he said he goes great I love that he goes he said I got out of the I walked out of the

cinema when I saw it and I got to the end of the street and I was just like what is what was going on that in the in the most recent one alien Covenant and I was just imagining Lance henriksson like a year ago like he he's an old guy now like he's pretty old yeah he just goes to the movies to see the new alien movies just because Wonder alien Covenant please yeah he was in the old ones so he goes and sees the new ones like I was like that's [ __ ] awesome but I I I'm with him on that I I did not understand I I wanted to see the movie in between yeah yeah they certainly seem to skip over a lot of interesting stuff didn't they yeah yeah look I didn't like alien Covenant as much as I wanted to like it but I loved preus so uh and I love the

character of David um yes right up until he made out with himself then I wasn't sure yeah well that's why he said it was it was weird and he didn't quite know what they were getting at with it all like yeah I really wanted to see David actually go crazy a little bit more you don't think that was [ __ ] no no I wanted to see him go down the path oh right you wanted to see him go go crazy descend into madness right yes speaking of descending into madness I I could but I also bought call of cthulu yesterday oh is it good I have not played it yet because and I almost played it first cuz actually I I really want to know what it's like but I thought there's no way that I'm going to be giving it a fair shot if I know that I've got red dead in the background and all you guys are

playing yeah so play Red Dead first but then soon as that's done I've got call of cthulu sitting there um it's got great reviews looks [ __ ] beautiful in a week when you've finished red dead as well in one year when I've like [ __ ] I can't even remember what I was up to so I'll just move on to something else yeah right I got to work on that gamer score so biggest uh biggest opening in in entertainment history is what I'm reading in entertainment history I did that took over did that take over from GTA5 we're talking about de obviously it's taken over from everything no album no book no movie no video game has ever made as much money in its first weekend as Red Dead Redemption 2 has is that something to do with the fact that everything's more expensive now though

yeah I I'm assuming yeah cuz a movie cost 10 and red dead costs 100 bucks so yes it's quite different and also if you look at yeah like deal that much in this opening weekend I ask you no even if you look at like even with the the cost of or the special edition everything there I don't think there were as many for the GTA 5 I think there was GTA 5 and then there was maybe like a oneup version but there they had the special edition the ultimate version that was like $160 yes so it sort of does screw it a bit Yeah I wonder which did you guys did you guys [ __ ] me did you guys just buy the standard edition I went the next one up standard standard yeah and I don't know what I got out of it I feel like I definitely

got I thought I got the pre-order bonuses because I I I did not pre-order it but when I bought it it said you've got bonus content you'll get it later in the game when it's appropriate and I have like a horse that I didn't have toate wink yeah yeah um a lot of times even if you don't pre-order if you buy it on the day it comes out you still get the pre-order I was confused cuz they were like oh you you need to go buy yourself a new horse and then I went in there and they're like well this one's free like and it looked like a more expensive model of horse that was my Grover and I'm like what why is that died why that happened oh so I don't get that again I got to look after this horse you're telling me yeah yeah if that horse dies that horse is dead

right sense that makes sense well what happened to your horse before that cuz I've stolen myself quite a nice horse that I'm bonding with that one was it was basically you could keep that one or you could walk in and get a buy a better one okay right and then the the the second horse I purchased I bonded with that one and I had that one with me the entire game okay if you steal someone else's horse M can you get that taken away from you cuz you got to have papers for the horse right um You can no you can steal horses and later in the game you can actually there's actually options that you can steal horses and actually sell them cool but then cool game also what happens is also you can steal a horse and that becomes sort of your backup

horse it's always can actually own up to four horses the four I never swapped also the the thing that also at the start of the game it looked like a one thing that was going to play a big part in it was the changing of clothes right from like cold to warm oh yeah yeah yeah once you get past the start doesn't come back into itn't get cold for about that I think if you go back to where you started it is still cold up there I have gone back up there once or twice but it's not something where you changing clothes what happens if iedo like do I lose Health um it does your I think your core you know how you how far that start starts to drop so it's like Far Cry Primal yes you just got to you got to put more skins on I do have to go back

up there though cuz there's an achievement and I have to go and hang around up there a little bit what's the achievement uh to go find all the gravestones H okay so you got to go find the gravestones of all the gang members so even from the ones at the very very start of the game who you don't meet should I be looking for that while I'm still up there no because you're not going to get it that achievement [ __ ] you so what was the previous bestselling game of all time did you say uh gr offt five yeah that's that's interesting because w h p 3 V D 4 d v b d k f r p f j 4 3 H 3 r f 7 p c should I be writing this down cuz I never actually played that is that

she asked me oh you give it a try too and what I wanted to say was I don't care enough to try it myself I'm happy just to have seen her do it seen it but what I but what I actually said was um thanks but I get pleasure from watching of course of course you said that that's what my brain came out with the creepiest [ __ ] way to possibly say it so there's still one word that no matter who says it how they say it I just cringe every time and that word is intense intense intense just that that word is just ruined for me forever oh it's so funny the other day because I've been a I haven't been here for two weeks listeners I'm back oh yeah oh yeah good point Dan's back yeah various i' I've been in Australia and

um we I was at a barbecue and there was a fire pit and um uh actually um fifth uh fifth member of this podcast our legal eagle um oh yeah had the barbecue at his house we were around the fire pit and then at the end he put it out by dcing it with water um which of course made it incredibly Smokey pissed on it I would have loved that I'm like sorry fire um no but then as soon as this kind of huge billowing smoke cloud went up into the air my three-year-old niece just went intense it was a magical moment and the listeners have no idea

before we launch BlizzCon was on yes like the last two days has been BlizzCon and and everyone's been thinking blizzard said earlier this year right they announced Diablo I was coming out on switch and then they said in a kind of cheeky way also we're working on some other Diablo stuff win and everyone was like everyone gets excited oh it's diao it's not Diablo spoilers not it's uh no it's a mobile game of Diablo yeah who the [ __ ] was asking for this who who even plays mobile games honestly shareholders they said oh people are pissed off about this game and I'm like oh that's fine and then I watched some of the videos of the Q&A they are pissed off really pissed off like to they had a

Q&A after the announcement and you just I put two clips in here one of them the my favorite of the one is the guy that gets up apparently he told the because they have um question uh what you call them people to approve the questions you got to tell them what you're going to say yeah and he goes he goes oh I'm going to ask him what their inspiration was and then they were like yep and so he gets up to the mic in front of the whole audience and he goes is this some sort of April Fool's joke and then and it's like what and then some other guy got up and said is this ever going to come to PC and then they were like no it's just mobile and then the whole crowd starts booing it's [ __ ] brutal so I really I really wonder if they really thought this was going to go

over well and everyone would be clapping and cheering for something that no one is asking for also Their audience their core audience a PC Gamers like all these nerds who are into [ __ ] PC games are there and they only Clash of Clans looking gone to BlizzCon uh BlizzCon yeah BlizzCon if you've gone to BlizzCon it's because you [ __ ] hardcore into this [ __ ] man yeah exactly you don't want to hear that there's a [ __ ] iOS game out coming out you're not a Casual Gamer that wants to just load something up on their phone for 5 minutes while they're killing time while they're on the toilet like and and cuz some people on the subreddit were there and they got to play it you know at the event and they said it's just one of those games you'll it felt like mobile game that you might

install cuz you might look Co then oh wait no it's a bit [ __ ] and then you delete it yeah I'm not going to play this and it's taking up a lot of room on my phone yeah exactly I got I've got if this was to play games on if I'm a BL fan yeah if this was 2002 and this game came out and you also gave me an iPhone to play it on I'd be impressed yes yeah it's such a weird thing to do so I hopefully they are working on Diablo 4 and then they can they can smooth this Ser or they [ __ ] start working on it real quick yeah real quick blizzard fans are not impressed but to be fair some other people have said actually I had to go over it and it was quite good uh but then again I don't know yeah well you could be a really good game on the mobile I'm still not

going to play it because I don't play games on my phone exactly right I can be fantastic game and I still won't do it unless I get achievements for it in which case you absolutely will do it yes that's why I brought a Windows phone do they still make anything for those they don't make Windows phones anymore do they no they do not okay but I can still get achievements on my old one yeah I dust that off so yeah Diablo Immortal well speaking of sequels no one's asking for and also circling back to Ridley got news uh for this week um Ridley has announced that his next project is going to be Gladiator 2 we have talked I have heard about this we've talked in the past about the the script that was

floating around for for Gladiator 2 I think Nick Cave wrote a script is that right Russell Crow commissioned Nick Cave uh who we love uh to write a a script um and uh he did wrote it and of course in true Nick Cave style because spoiler alert if you haven't seen Gladiator um he dies in the end okay Maximus he dies a so um Nick Cave was probably the right person to write this sequel actually because uh his uh his storyline for Gladiator 2 was Maximus goes down to Purgatory um and is sent down by the gods who are dying in heaven because now there's this one big powerful God Christ right Who's down on Earth and gaining

popularity so all the other gods are dying um so they send Maximus back to kill Christ and his followers and that is the most Nick Cave thing I have ever heard but I also recently heard that Ridley Scott was also trying to get that made as well like he was still pushing for that to be made I hope that is what it is cuz that it's not it's in no way is that focus on his cousin um they're going with the guy who wrote the last two Hunger Games movies and the Top Gun sequel in case you uh thought that that was the obvious choice for it so two movies I will never see and one that I'm haven't are they still going ahead with that sequel Top Gun Top Gun yeah yeah yeah they're shooting it I think right now yeah yeah yeah they're do it now unless there's a very

homoerotic volleyball scene I'm not there probably will be a lot of homoeroticism yeah that wouldn't be a sequel to Top Gun if there was yeah Ridley Scott has gone a little off the rails I got to say look Gladiator is one of his great films yes you know like does not need a if he's looking back on his career and going like what what of my films really stand out gladi is a great film mhm but I don't see why that means he needs to do another one like pick another historical character and do another great film you know yeah yes Gladiator was great just do another movie like that or do another Roman one and do it like the the Romans versus the Britain you know Gladiator 2 is such an odd like the story's done like it's complete it was a complete story like

what is what is this even about like okay and then if you told me the Nick pitch me on the cave one I'd be like all right fine I was wrong take quite a lot to get that reaction out me let's make that movie yes but I mean that's quite unique so yeah interesting I'll tell you someone else who uh agrees Ridley Scott's latest work has not been uh as good it's Lance Henrickson Lance [Laughter] henrion what does he think about James Cameron's latest work I I didn't ask him that I actually thought afterwards I I wish I had because uh we've got there's a little bit of Avatar followup this week there is H and I didn't ask that movie is not happening it's not one movie Luke it's it's five more movies and the first

bunch of them have already been named so yeah but they're never going to come out let me let me run these names by You Luke we've got M uh okay this is Avatar 234 four and five we've got Avatar the way of water mhm MH Avatar Avatar the seed Bearer Avatar the I'm assuming yeah the tolon rider and then Avatar the Quest for air okay yeah great yeah none of that sounds terribly exciting out of context um also Avatar wasn't a good movie they're going to release a second one the the novelty of it has worn off and they're going to they're going to realize they've made a terrible mistake

I hope the second one bombs and they' got three more movies literally sitting there that they can't even release yeah yeah I read something with Weaver recently that she tweeted something from the set of number five so they are not only still planning to do that many but they they're filming number five right now yeah yeah I I really think they've made a terrible mistake cuz the reason why the first one did so great wasn't because it was a good movie M it was the first movie that really had 3D and I'll I'll still stand by this this the only movie that I thought did 3D well yes well cuz I really enjoy the 3D version of the last um when you're in the jungle and you just see the stuff sort of floating in the air definitely kicked off that whole Revival of 3D yeah but

then nobody did it as well except for because because they Final Destination just ax is flown at me that was he shot the whole thing on in 3D and so it was you know whereas the new ones they just shoot it normally and then have some dimensionalized but if they're thinking that Avatar 2 3 four and five are going to do the same thing that Avatar one did they're all going to be very disappointed well here's the thing though right he's never been wrong James camon yet so this will be the this will be the test right is is it just something about James Cameron that he can make a movie and even if later on like now we're saying our Avatar wasn't great well it [ __ ] did well enough at the time didn't it it did well enough if you mean it broke every single record and was the

most highest gross ever made it beat and it his previous his previous film yeah that's what I mean so if if so now he needs two Avatar 2 has to beat whatever whatever the number one is now I assume it's not Avatar still it's probably a Marvel movie um so got to beat that and then three's got to beat two and Four's got to beat three Etc and then I love it I love it that James Cameron right a a man who began his career making a sequel to piran yes and then went on to make an indie movie about a robot that chases a waitress right yeah not starring Lance Hendrickson that's right well starring Lance Hendrickson but just not in the starring role um is now the man who consistently with every new film brings out is smashes all box office

records so far so far we'll see we'll see yeah with a bit of True Lies in there in the middle oh man True Lies was so good though so good oh it's still so good give me a sequel to that well it was a remake that's right it a foreign film there right yeah French movie yeah yeah it's tops so that's the uh that's the avatar they they they've made them Luke basically they they're just finishing them off yeah they we're getting them we just don't know if we want them yet oh I know we don't we'll see look he's got a bit of time to turn this around I look avatar had a lot going for it it just wasn't a great I don't know great I don't know because I I read the treatment before they' made it when someone cuz someone

leaked it on the internet I was doing the rounds and I read it and was amazed like I thought this is going to be [ __ ] fantastic and it just wasn't I didn't dislike it I remember why did I it just wasn't anything yeah except it was something it was Fern Gully po Haas yeah I it's a very Dan tricky movie but it's got some cool [ __ ] in it yeah just a bit on the nose that's what it was it was just a bit on the nose it didn't leave anything up to the imagination didn't it filled in all the blanks you know yeah the bad guy was called you know Sergeant bad guy and the good guy was called Sergeant good guy and you know he wore a white hat and he

wore a black hat and it was just two on the nose yeah and then they somehow transferred sigoni Weaver's Consciousness into an alien which was a little odd but uh whatever whatever man I assume we'll see more that in uh the later one yeah wait no was it just her sex with their horses it wasn't her yes it was yeah no definitely was her what are you talking about she she died and then they transferred her into the no it was him wasn't it both of them mate I don't remember remember not seen that movie a second time you know a really great friend of ours um Brian Moses and I'm sure I've even quoted him saying this before but the day after um I I'd seen it and then he saw it and then we met up for um Sushi Train the

next day to discuss it and he had such an apt description not of the film itself but of what it felt like to watch it and he said I felt like I went in for a massage and it was a man who was doing the massage and I was like no that's fine that's fine you know he he'll give me a great massage and then through the massage I felt that he was getting erect while doing it and it was a good enough massage the massage was fine but the fact that his erection was poking into me the whole time just made it that I couldn't enjoy it sure and he's right that is what it feels like to watch Avatar it's like I should be really enjoying this but for some reason something's holding me back yeah it's that's true I do get I'm watching a guy in a mech suit holding a

knife fighting a dinosaur yes and yet somehow it sucks oh speaking of socks go on did you I know you did I know you saw it I know you saw geralt you saw Henry caval geralt no sorry dude listeners I know you've seen it they've released some to be fair it's a costume test of Henry as girl I can't believe that he went like yeah that's great let's put it on the internet yeah it looks like Henry it doesn't bod well that they think that was to the corner party higher shop and was like do you have The Witcher

costume there are better I've had some of people have explained it that it looks like he Us in Cosplay and I'm sort of no I've seen cosplays who would do a much better looks like he he looks like he put no effort into cosplaying as geralt he just like popped a wig on and a and a and a vest and then sipped on a little little and they thought people were really worried about Henry caval as geralt let's pop this up on the Internet that'll reassure them cuz here's the thing people weren't going oh [ __ ] Henry kev's not going to be a good geralt because he doesn't have long white hair and they're like guys don't worry here he is in a wig thanks to [ __ ] ease hry kevl does have long white hair I was wrong I'm on board

yeah so I don't know man I mean it doesn't mean anything it just I just don't think it looked very good maybe that's not what it's going to be like in the fil in the in the show maybe the show will be great anyway I don't know but God doesn't well the thing you also have to look at this this show isn't going to be based off the game no nothing to do with the game in fact I think probably legally distinct uh like it has to be because well have you seen the the the is now trying to sue yes um C Project R to go trying to sue them for quite some time now yeah but now he's yeah def he's going after a bit more it is going to court now yeah right and basically super Pro's argument is we we offered him a percentage at the start he said no he wants to he wants to love some he can't

now come back and go I want the percentage it's not how that works yeah well his lawyer is arguing that there's a clause in the contract that says that actually is how it works if they make a significant amount money more and I mean they have so I guess we'll have to see okay we'll have to see that's in there then yeah we'll see how that P out you use the phrase significant amount money more I may have I don't know what's going with me this morning I don't want to make fun because I've like had so many slips of the tongue but we just let that one go and no one no one did anything about it I'm not going to remix myself Dan am I yeah I'm not going to call anyone out for anything I think the name of this podcast this week is significant amount

money more significant amount money more perfect yeah perfect so yeah Henry caval thumbs down thumb right down I reserve the right to change my mind but uh I don't know you seen any good TV series this week though Matt I have uh I have I've watched actually over the last couple of weeks took a little bit to get through it and also so the kind of show you want to take your time with The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix yeah I've bookmarked this it looks it looks pretty good it's [ __ ] excellent a excellent okay good it's really good all right I might watch it all tomorrow [ __ ] you you should it's really when do you go back to work Luke um I want to try and go back uh in a week but I think I'm still off for like two or three more weeks or something

ridiculous the 22nd I'm meant to be able to go back to work wow okay [ __ ] take all the time you need buddy yeah I'm going insane you can't I mean you can do your work in a wheelchair can't you um yeah but I've got no way to get to work I'm I'm not saying I'm not saying well you should get out there and do your [ __ ] job Luke I'm just just you know well no I actually need to be careful when sitting down cuz if I sit down for too long it actually feels like my when I stand up it feels like my hip wants to dis o well that's all right so yeah that's why I normally stand all the time at work right that's right yeah for long periods my desk work transforms into a standing desk it's quite good does everyone of

your work have that or did you get a letter from your doctor no everyone in my work has that we have a desk a lot of places are starting to do that now so you can convert it like you pull little latches and and it turns into a standing invest in that at the start it could actually save them money in the long run it's good cuz then you don't have to get people to come in and adjust and yeah but I've been watching a television show this week we started watching with Hannah yes I started watching Sabrina oh you did oh okay got some Sabrina news um so this is from the makers of Riverdale right yes the Riverdale Universe they live good Greendale um it's good okay like I'm really enjoying it is it Riverdale season one I haven't watched

Riverdale but Hannah has and Hannah's I think he's leaning towards Sabrina being better okay great see because I I've heard Sabrina's good and I've heard that it was surprising uh because people thought it was going to be like the old Sabrina TV series and it's really not it's about about [ __ ] dark magic and satanic it's about [ __ ] Satanism yeah it's about like a signing nameing the book of the Beast to show your love for the devil and but no really well I I I there's like humor in it but yeah it's no I recommend it definitely well sexy yes right the news uh that I have about Sabrina is that the um the satanic temple which is uh up in Salem not far

from me uh they they have a statue of baat which is kind of like their Central the mascot of sorts hor don't know for those who don't know this the satanic temple here is not they don't actually worship the devil because they don't believe in the devil it's just a to combat kind of yeah it's like an being being forced on other people you got to have your own religion to combat it and so their idea is that they they've created this statue of baffet and then when people want to put something religious in a public place they also want to put their religious thing in a public place and everyone no one wants their satanic thing there it's like well we'll just have to take all of them away then so that's kind of how it works fabulous that's that's the idea and Nick

Cave would uh would really love to write that into his Gladiator sequel I'm sure yes but however apparently in Sabrina they've got their own baet statue that they they do and it's it's kind of a ripoff of the the one from from the the temple here which is actually trademark baffet surely well well they're saying they have there's this copyrighted right because what they had to do cuz baffet traditionally has uh breasts female breasts but because they want to use this as a tool and it's got to be in the public they can't have the tits out so their design of baffet has a has a man's chest and it's also got two children standing with him and that's exactly the same as what they did Sabrina and so

that's why they're saying well that's that was our take on him and it's copyright so and also and just because people are like oh aren't you supposed to be all about Freedom that kind of stuff it's copyright so they actually have to have to act because otherwise you lose a copyright yeah so uh but yeah apparently they uh they they lifted it pretty heavily the Des look the uh the male said yeah well that's the thing if it was the male chest I would have said I look under the I've just seen a picture for them um yeah it's it's the same right it's the same yeah in their defense they probably know it's the same they probably based it on that they may not have realized that that that was a

copyrighted redesign of bath yeah that's that's exactly what I think it probably is yeah and so they've just used that one because well and probably for the same reason like oh we can't have him tits a Kimbo so no exactly right it's uh it's uh but putting two little kids in is probably uh yeah that aspect one to the one that they made so anyway yeah that's that's there's a I think going to be a a lawsuit about it we'll see yep that's it for Satan news this week do we have a jingle for Satan news I mean we don't currently and I'm not sure I'm going to have time to create one so we'll have to see okay all

thinking about recently cuz I was uh I was in a cab the only time I ever hear the radio is when I'm in a cab right because like I don't listen to the [ __ ] radio and um you know they play they play songs from the ' 80s on the radio right um that was 40 years ago you know what I mean like that's a long time ago and I remembered that in the 80s when I was a kid they used to play songs from the 50s on the radio MH like which seems like a [ __ ] long time ago but like you would still just hear Buddy Holly on a regular radio station I mean they'd say here's one here's one from a couple of decades ago but I wasn't like here's one from the [ __ ] deep his yes Medieval music yeah like Buddy Holly was newer in the 80s than [ __ ] 80s

school that's right uh you should check out making a murderous season 2 if you haven't uh I haven't uh but I did check out making a murderous season 1 uh is there a lot more to say a sequel to this yeah there is actually it's quite quite I'll be honest I thought they stretched out making a murderous season one to probably more episodes than it needed to be no it's quite interesting well I'm not going to give too much away cuz there were you know sort of spoilers I guess I mean it's in the news so it's hard to hard to I mean you you'd probably know of anything hugely drastic it happened but they um Steve a Steven Avery the guy who's been arrested for the murder he's got a new defense attorney she's like this kind of hard

ass uh she she's gotten a bunch of people out of prison for being wrongly convicted she's doing all these new tests on the um on the on the evidence and they kind of like do this whole new investigation they find out a like a bunch of new pretty interesting and compelling stuff it's it's good like it's it's interesting enough that it's like they got a whole season of worth of of like reveals it's pretty good I do want to say though I don't think you can say there would be spoilers for this cuz it's a documentary no I know no I know but uh but but I don't want to tell you all of the the facts as they discover because you kind of go on the journey with them and then it's like they find something you know they're looking at the the bullet or and this kind of thing

and they discover something they're like what the [ __ ] and then they go go further and you're like holy [ __ ] like this guy shouldn't be in prison like there's quite a lot to it so I recommend it you found the first season interesting it's it's very interesting huh yeah I did and I will check it out for sure yeah it's wor worth it I think if you if you if you were interested in the first season it's there's more you really every criminal like on death row or serving a life sentence must just be like someone please come and make a Netflix series or a podcast about me because that is how you get a retrial we said this about you know the West Memphis 3 right they did uh they got the wrongly convicted and the only reason I swear the only reason

they got out is cuz HBO happened to be there filming it and it became that would have just been covered up and forgotten about Damen Eckles would have been executed for that murder had had that documentary not existed like and how many other people does that happen to it's terrifying that's right well [ __ ] Adnan from seral getting a retrial now there's also one oh [ __ ] man I was conned man there's this new podcast uh an Australian it was you know build is the Australian cereal it was called teachers pet I don't know if you guys have heard of it but uh it was about a murder saw something a murder on the um northern beaches in the 80s right and the first episode was [ __ ] compelling when they kind of gave you the backstory to this thing I was like [ __ ] yeah 13

episodes later and not one single like new fact up and it was just like and then it ended with no conclusion serial had no conclusion but but she found out [ __ ] along the way right this one everything he knew at episode one was all he knew for the rest of the series yeah see I've been trying to find some good podcasts like that I listened to one uh [ __ ] town or swn it's yeah I thought it was going to be about a murder and then I I was like when I found out what it's actually about I was like oh I don't know but then it was pretty compelling look it was pretty good but I'll say this the first few episodes of that were really good and then when it changed Direction

I was less interested yeah and then I feel like it never really went anywhere like so like threads just dropped off like yeah that's right and it just became about a hunt for treasure that no one found so let's it's definitely definitely a weird interesting story but yeah I feel like it just never really and he is a great character he's a great protagonist so like while ever he was still in it no spoilers um it was really interesting yeah it's called [ __ ] town or swn uh yeah on the uh on theun store yeah exactly that one was pretty good and there was another one I tried called sleuth which was also about a murder but it was I found it to be very similar to what you're saying there wasn't it was like the first episode

told everything and then after that she was just kind of interviewing the people in a very gossipy way it was kind of like so it was just yeah not for me no um you know what you can say [ __ ] the Afterparty we say all sorts of [ __ ] in the Afterparty [ __ ] yeah we do and we're we are going to say some [ __ ] in the after we've got I'm looking at what's in here for the party oh boy Luke's going to be so mad at us Dan when we talk about all very mad he's going to be very so I just noticed what the [ __ ] is going on under segments here yeah I know it's like it really wants us to talk about white supremacy what the hell yeah so if you're into if you're into lactose head on over to the after party that's all for this week thank you for listening
