that high as a kite yeah that probably does help actually supplementing yeah I just I'm on very strong pain like stronger well not Stronger Just I'm taking more of pain colors than I would normally take and uh yeah I can't mix this out with alcohol oh you could you could I could and it would be wonderful please don't remember the the ballot of Heath Ledger please don't do that oh my God you went there you went to Heath Ledger I thought he strangled himself while jerking off to an Allon twin no that was the inexcess guy that was that inappropriate dream you had about and we told you not to bring it up again then so yeah we'll see how we go on this episode I'm not drunk but yeah I'm luk bit strange uh if there's anything we've
learned in the media lately it's that taking a lot of of of drugs can make you very racist uh you know Roseanne famously uh has fallen prey to the the evils of medication are you feeling a little bit I'm going to throw this offensive um it's not the drugs that make people racist cuz I actually think if anything Luke could stand to be just a little more racist than he is you know what I mean he's he's like deceptively clean it makes me nervous makes me uncomfortable going to remain that way man I thought things were going to get interesting feels like it's underwater mat I got some racism news coming up later in the episode so I'll just tease to that may maybe maybe I might even hold that off till the uh till the after
party all right do you say it feels like your body's underwater just my head at the moment [ __ ] hell wow I don't think I've ever been on on medication of that sort but how how's your leg I guess is the question I'm pretty good that's the very painful but I'm moving it now I still can't put any weight on it for another 5 weeks okay do you are vertical sorry that does you are horizontal no no no I'm sitting I'm sitting at the moment he's erect yeah you are you are R my leg straight yeah right bent my knee a little bit and that's where it's staying for do you have one of those little slings you know on a little on a little pulley that holds your leg straight out like they do in American movies when
someone gets into an accident oh yeah no I do not I have had that before have you cuz I wondered whether that's real or whether they only have those in Hollywood movies no that is definitely real okay but yeah I've getting to the stage where my my I want to scrp my stitches o yeah don't do that no well I can't cuz I'm wearing my Transformer pants and I can't scratch through them specifically those pants it's not just that you're wearing pants it's the Transformer pants are too thick to scratch through if I had my Avengers pants on I'd be in trouble but uh uh Luke you don't have to go into a huge amount of detail because this is not multiple medical procedure gasm but can you just outline roughly kind of Topline concept of what
was done to you earlier this week okay so what they did was they what did what did the men do to you they cut into my tibia yeah so that's the bone on the lower part of your leg okay they sliced into that and then pulled it apart okay and then they packed in some dead person's bone into it oh okay we'll come back to this put a p in that really and then they put then they put some pins what the doctor said and then they stitched me up so what this has done is it's changed the way once I can start walking it's changed the way the weight's going to distribute through that leg okay great instead of it going through all one side of my knee it's going to even out a little bit okay so that'll essentially just make it more
comfortable for you to walk going forward yes and I should it saved me an extra 10 or 15 years before I need a KN reconstruction okay well that's good this is all very positive now I can just take you back 10 or 15 years is a long time take everyone back to the Dead Man's bone you have in you right now I'm not sure it's a dead man okay oh yeah dead ape then I guess could have got boned by a female I don't know they got it from the donor Bank all right my question is do you know whose bone it is no okay if you start to develop Mad Skills football skills karate kicking skills then you to let me know immediately I will let you'll be
the first one to know so it was quite weird because um this is the first time I've ever had donor bone now I've had lots of bone grafts before but they bones in me but theyve all come from me they've taken bone from my hips and put it in but yeah this one came from the donor Bank said cuz your hipbone is like quite big they can just keep keep CH bit off no um actually they can't take any more bone from my hips he said no yeah don't have anymore tapped that well dry like what I don't know whose bones we're going to use I mean there's this there's this dead woman here I guess we could guess we could take some of her bones out put them in you no it is highly
irregular it looks like well I don't I don't know brought it up just put them in me I had a medical Adventure recently what's that like in America your first y there was literally a politician standing next to him when he tried to give money to his doctor it's actually literally the first time I've been to a doctor since we moved so it's been what two years now um I got poison ivy or poison oak or Poison Something [ __ ] all over me fuing plant poison somehow real way that I know about poison ivy is that they mention it in the Karate Kid and then there's like hiking movies from the 80s where somebody gets it when
they're out camping in the bush cuz it's not it's not an Australian we don't have it here do we Matt were you out in the bush it here's the thing right first of all it's [ __ ] did you get poison ivy from a New York City prostitute no it was before that I've had it I still still got the rash he gave it to the sound right she's having to explain to clients why they're all coming down with poison ivy all over their dicks ni it's just poison iy um I don't know where I got it you've got a penth Great Western Highway [ __ ] there in New York City with you the it's you know they say right what you know um so I don't know where I got it that's the worst thing about it I noticed it uh I know I know exact the moment that I first noticed it but that doesn't mean
anything cuz it can take like days or or even apparently even like a week to show up did you get some of it on your dick no I did not okay so we don't have to worry about the dick news jingle then merciful close to your dick did it get it got I got it on my stomach somehow I got well I I assume that's pretty close I I think patient zero was my forearm right cuz I can tell cuz I've got a big patch like a massive patch of it on my forearm and and I can see from I must have had my arm I must have slept you know without a shirt on and I've put my arm on my stomach with the oil still on so it literally transfers by touch it's it's oil yeah you get oil on you from a plant and it causes this [ __ ] horrid rash it's it's honestly I've never been
itch which is why I was actually seriously asking if you got it on your dick cuz if you get it on your hands and you take a piss oh mate that would I I wouldn't wish that on anyone oh God it was awful so like now I still have I still have the rash in spots but it's much better and it's not itchy anymore um it's just I have a red red patches on me but so I went to the doctor I had to fill in a mountain of paperwork cuz like I said I've not been to a doctor here before and they were like well you need to give us your entire medical history as best you can cuz I there's no record well in case your poison IV was hereditary well just in general because they might you know they well they did they gave me I had to take steroids right like like as in steroid tablets
and I have steroid cream to put on it and uh put a put a bit of that on your dick just in case you know what I mean like why not what you got to lose yeah see what happens that's an awful awful thing I advise avoiding it uh how does one avoid it but like I said like did you get this from a plant or did you get this from a person well here's the thing I don't know how I got it and I've been and apparently all it takes is it's it's the oil from the plant right so and not everybody is affected by like for example Jenna apparently uh is not affected by it at all like there are a percentage of people that are immune so someone else could have had it on them lent on a counter or
something counter then you lent on her that's right and I've gotten the oil on me via transfer and then I've spread the oil all over myself cuz I guess I didn't didn't realize I had it on me and then just at one point I'm like what the [ __ ] are these bumps on my arm and then it just got worse from there well this is this is the America that you're all so precious about I know I'm like you people think [ __ ] Australia is dangerous the plants here are trying to kill me well that sounds disgusting mat um but I'm glad it's going away it was luk what was your medical condition I was about to say Luke's on medical grade painkillers Matt's on steroid cream um I've got this I've got this is beer uh it is doing nicely though damn
you it's uh [ __ ] you yeah it's nice guys I don't want to I don't want to sugar coat it I've even got this new gin to try oh yeah it's called ink ink and it ink and it's in my pen and I'm [ __ ] delusional and desperate blue and you sniff it but it's actually it's actually blue like the gin's actually blue and evidently when you pour it mix it with tonic it turns pink oh well that is I'm dying to try this but I'm not allowed the boss has said no I thought we had the clear liquids loophole all sorted out last week Luke yeah so did I but yeah she didn't buy it fair enough oh Matt's back everybody oh yeah oh yeah I'm back um Now Matt there was a question mark over where you were uh because we thought you York L only comic and it's
sgo where were you I I was I was at New York Comic Con and I talked to one of the uh gentleman who organizes the event about that specifically I said what's the deal with that and he said yeah you know what I don't know great great we'll have to he said we'll have to we'll have to see what happens because that's a thing so they pretty just waiting to get a ceist letter or a summons to court before they do anything which yeah for now for now they're going to keep going as IR ran says don't ask who'll let me ask Who'll Stop me we ever quoted an ran before gez I could do a whole segment at the end of each episode if you want man why not yeah so I was at New York ComiCon uh jeez man that's a [ __ ]
that is a like I it makes me wonder do I want to go to San Diego ComiCon because [ __ ] it's it is packed this is the type of stuff where you basically you can spend your whole day just lining for one panel isn't it yes and we we had the benefit of of press access to certain things we get in early we could do certain things and still like we're only there for two days the event actually you know 4 days total we were there for Saturday and Sunday and I mean we didn't get to do everything there we did uh they had a good Omens uh setup for the good Omens TV shows coming out that looks really good by the way have you seen the Traer I've seen the trailer yeah look I mean I'm going to reserve judgment till I actually see it but man I loved good ens back in the day love me
a bit of David Tenant so I'm excited about that they had like a booth set up for that we went through and they you know took a photo of us in the in the old car and everything um and then they had oh American Gods we did American Gods a booth there as well they have a lot of the though basically it's like it's a booth and then you go in and then they take a photo of you in an environment that makes it look like you're in the show or the movie and then they give you some free stuff that's pretty lot of go with it got some free t-shirts nice which is free t-shirts can't complain about that Donuts I couldn't eat them no you can't eat them so uh no actually well I mean not to uh I want to talk about the convention
itself more but one of the things that was tough being in New York was doing the Whole 30 uh while traveling Oh yeah no uh no Street hot dogs no love those hot dogs no Philly cheese steaks no do you have one a Philly cheese steak never had one you are missing out mate you have to drive down to Philadelphia when you're here on our way to Disneyland I don't it's a long drive but sure why not okay sure it can be done for 20 hours is I think something like that it's I can eat sashimi Y and very few other things when I'm out there's no Street Sashimi in New York City though that I remember honor to God Matt please do not eat raw fish handed to you by someone on the street no no I learned that lesson I try it you would try it wouldn't you I
remember I remember when Luke was in Thailand and he was buying street food and he said I want one of each and I don't want to know what any of them are yeah makes sense so yeah uh ComiCon was good uh enjoyed it it was very busy um the the American God stuff was was was cool was excited to see that there was a mortal engine thing too Peter Jackson was there doing signing a bunch of stuff if that looks good or [ __ ] I'll will just have to see the film I like Peter Jackson but the trailer didn't really do it for me yeah I know what you mean uh we'll see and it REM me a little of a movie I watched this week that I'll talk about a little later on a lot of CGI that's I feel like movies are almost cartoons now
in a way because it's not it's not real and it's I mean I feel like it's noticeably not real like they've they've they've given up trying to make it look realistic cuz I watched we watched a bunch of movies this this week old movies because it's Halloween coming up so we watched the Halloween movies oh sure and and it's just like you know we put a camera in a spot that is a physical spot where we put a camera and we film things like we make things happen in front of the camera I mean that's that's not true they do do it but big Blockbuster films don't do it like it's the camera might as well be flying around in the sky for all yeah I hear you man I hear you yeah but uh yeah they had uh man an innumerable number of panels uh
and even I noticed one thing that was a little disappointing was that there was some stuff we wanted to go to we didn't realize it wasn't at the convention it was at separate theaters nearby and you had RVP for them separately and that kind of stuff and we just yeah we weren't on top of all that so we didn't get to see uh Travis mroy doing a show and that would have been cool that would have been cool unfortunately didn't get to see that uh pep peeve actually about cons especially one is busy as New York ComicCon and I'm sure you guys have both experienced this in some way cosplay is great right I encourage that people do a great job cosplay when you're in a packed function Center and people are trying to [ __ ] get past and everyone's like oh let's take photos
and then the whole the whole [ __ ] building grinds to a halt oh man and I feel like I don't want to be the the the [ __ ] who's like [ __ ] get out of the way you were the want to be that guy yeah I do want to be that guy cuz [ __ ] get out of the way yeah like oh man share the space I'm an old man yeah I'm an old man I don't have time for this that is a fantastic costume get out of my way look somebody's cosplaying as the uh as the the dad from Indiana Jones in the Last Crusade and he's grumpy he's in character and you're like just [ __ ] off oh get out of my way that was not quite correct it was fine that's better I'll tell you what one other thing we stayed at Jenna's cousin apartment she's got an apartment in Midtown on 36 Street on the street on
the street yeah oh my [ __ ] man I don't know how she sleeps yeah she must just it's one of those things you just get used to it yeah you must but well I I am definitely not used to it now I live out in the middle of [ __ ] nowhere and it's dead well you're probably actually hearing it even more because of that absolutely I was oh I I don't think you could not hear it no Noank yeah it would have been yeah not used to it but I can speak when we lived in Orbin it was pretty noisy yeah yeah it was was noisy people get road rage at that roundabout in or yeah didn't they ever you should move to CRA always nice and quiet yeah look I'll move to cber luk because there is a government job that I wouldn't mind doing um oh what's that I assume that this exists um I want to be the guy who
edits together the little videos that a secret agent has to watch before they go on a top secret mission because I was watching uh I was watching Mission Impossible right and before he goes on his mission they like he plays this role of film and it's this beautifully edited little little short film that he has to and then it you know it self-destruct straight after but I'm like someone had to make that someone put music to that someone put in graphics and stuff that's what I do every day right so I figured that's my retirement job when I'm ready to come back to Australia I'll come back to CRA I'll work for the government and I can make those little uh secret agent movies I'll keep some eyes out cuz I see stuff advertised down here I'll see if that job comes up for
you do you know what I one thing uh at ComicCon they had the the Mortal engines booth and I don't know if you saw I posted it on Facebook they made a little video with us in it oh no I didn't saw that so what they do is right they you go in you line up you go they take you in they put you in front of like this blue screen uh green screen sorry uh cuz it's the future now the green and uh and then you're on a like kind of a moving platform and they flash a bunch of lights they play a video and you look at the screen you react to what's happening on the screen and then on the way out I looked at they literally had a guy sitting there on in Adobe Premiere editing these in real time like you got to see it on the way out so this guy's just sitting there [ __ ] just gunning
it on Premier his ass off cuz that's the kind of thing you think there must be some proprietory software built into this like mechanism no man there's a slave in there doing it and uh yeah now he uh he edit he was editing it so they man and he did a good job in my opinion he picked some good good reactions did you wow actually no he was busy he was way busy he didn't have time for that but so did you watch the new Mission Impossible uh yeah I did I did watch the new Mission Impossible the one with gal but what I'm watching right now I'm watching your Immortal engin film uh that I'm enjoying very much oh are you yeah um there where you and a few other arish people not bad eh yeah yeah it's great yeah they they put us in costume like pretty quickly
they got us in those costumes and got to edited that's pretty it's pretty impressive yeah we'll share that on the Instagram sure great instagram.com multipl done in real time look a movie that I saw this week um that I wanted to have a quick we don't have to linger on this but just while you're talking about movies that just seem like they just have way too much Reliance on CGI uh I watched Ready Player one oh I'm so sorry you guys have both seen this I don't know why I'm apologizing for it but I felt someone should apologize to you've never been a Steven Spielberg fan anyway Luke so but this movie was terrible would be a lie look look I'm not saying I love every Steen Spielberg movie um but I love most
of them and I generally like the way he makes films this is something else entirely story just doesn't make any sense man it's almost like Steven Spielberg was trying his hardest to make a Steven Spielberg fan film like I almost think that this if this had been made by JJ Abrams or somebody of that generation who just Ador Spielberg it would have been better it would have been a better nage than [ __ ] Spielberg just being so on the nose do you feel like though so so most of the film is CGI right and it I feel like it's I I wasn't into it it's not my not for me but the segments that were in the real world where they're driving around in a van and stuff that felt very Spiel Breaky right so I think maybe it's
just the fact that he passed it off he's there on set filming a he's there on set filming stuff it's it feels like a Steven Spielberg film he gets in the computer and he's like I'm an old man like he doesn't do what you want guys someone else yeah h yeah it looks good I [ __ ] hell what's going on I don't know that's my theory yeah and also that's apparently what great that's also uh kind of what it sounded like when you were impersonating um the elderly Christopher Lloyd once he started going CA Oh yeah that's I watched Back to Future last night did um part three and I'm just sort of like yeah just reminds me that I'm so sorry that he's how he is now yeah yeah and he's still doing
conventions worst SLB interview I've ever seen he thought he was Kirk no that I think that's not fair I think he he he he knows he was in a Star Trek movie he doesn't care he knows Captain Kirk is who is a character in Star Trek and he thinks oh maybe that's who I was who cares I think that's I misunderstood the question and also I don't care yeah yeah I just so bad for rememb he was in St he another one that we should put in the corner put the blanket over him and just leave alone mind you if if I was if I was sat down with him and I had to ask him a bunch of questions about films I think I know everything about Back to the Future that's fine I'd want to ask him just about the Clue movie and Who Framed Roger
Rabbit oh man he scared the [ __ ] out of me when I was a kid like I ran from the theater the first time I saw that at the end oh yeah man terrified absolutely speaking of running away terrified by the way speaking not clue clue is great though well you know clue I assume you've only seen clue on video like I have right uh I think it was on TV at one point when I was young and they aired all the different I mean I know it shows all the different endings uh but you know that when that was in the taped in the cinema you only got one of the endings and none of the marketing pointed were end so it just deped on what cem you went to as which ending you I had different that's oh that's that's three
different endings and if you watch it on on TV or on on video back in the day um you saw all three endings but actually what they wanted was for people to be like talking next to the water cooler the next day and be like yeah yeah I saw that movie clue wasn't it great how in the end it turned out to be Colonel Mustard and and your friend would be like dude it wasn't Colonel Mustard was [ __ ] Mrs White yeah yeah that's that's actually awesome yeah they should have advertised that better because yeah they did not certainly did not know that when it was out at the movies no but that was the point but if they had advertised that they probably would have had more people going back to see it or to try and see yeah these days these days you would for
sure Matt speaking of running away from things screaming though I was telling somebody uh the other day your um your story about The Runaway ostrich and uh man that story kills it it [ __ ] kills it every time yeah put a little suck on his head people are just swapping stories about crazy things that happened on set and I'm like my friend used to be a location manager and one day like an ostrich the best ostrich on the loose get out of the way it's going to kick you to death [ __ ] terrifying wrestling to the ground but mind you when in my story maybe we should give that the entire story to listen if you listeners if you want to know the story then you have to come get drunk with us one night because
that is when the story comes out but Matt all I'll say is this in my story when the guy is tackling him he rides it for a little bit first so I just want you I'm glad you you've taken ownership over some I've just added in some story elements that I think really really driveing home escalate the drama I'm so mad I lost the pH so listeners summary for those who don't know what the [ __ ] I'm talking I used to be a location manager for I did some TV commercials and some films and stuff in in Sydney and and one day Matt and I actually worked on the same TV commercial although we didn't realize it because he location managed and I edited a commercial once and we only found out after the fact cuz we were chatting in the hallway of the house we both lived
in that we had worked on the same ad what did you work on today oh um so the uh the shoot was in uh Breakfast Point uh which is a place in Sydney which has it's very like uniform houses and uh the idea was that some of the houses have been done up all nice because they go to this particular department store some of them are just generic because they don't shop at that particular department store and uh the ones that looked nice had kind of crazy things going on and one of the things was some ostriches hanging out in the front yard as one does yes it turns out that ostriches are very dangerous and uh one of them got loose uh and started legging it down the street and uh the ostrich handler was
screaming at everybody to get out of the way or it will kick you to death and so everyone was running and fleeing uh so this guy chased the ostrich down the street with a carrying a sock uh he then managed to catch up to the ostrich uh hopped onit R of the OST rode it for a bit Yeah wink wink uh and then I managed to wrestle it uh and and pop a sock on its head at which point it uh it just shut down listeners that's a lesson no when ostriches when ostriches can't see they think they're safe and they calm down so if you're ever pursuing or being pursued by a renegade ostrich whack a sock over its head that's all you got to do an ostrich or an emu that it's an ostrich an ostrich yeah
it's [ __ ] big man and I had photos of it I had photos of the whole thing I had like I had a photo with a guy wrestling the [ __ ] ostrich yeah cuz I I as I I lost them all you sent me one straight away you it please send it back but I will have to go through all my old email accounts and see if it's I I had a hard drive malfunction years and years ago and I lost I lost a lot of photos I had I had heaps of photos from shoots I lost them oh man if I have everything back that was on a hard drive that died on me yeah yeah y hey speaking of uh different endings of shows have you seen that Netflix is going to be making content kind of like that the the new season of black miror in particular is going to
have like a Choose Your Own Adventure style aspect only a matter of do something like this yeah so apparently uh someone said that there are other they they've done something like this uh I I haven't seen anything particularly like this this this is actually literally you'll get to uh choose your own story line new season one of the things that Telltale was finishing up doing before they closed was they um Minecraft is going on Netflix oh right oh the oh the Minecraft yeah The Telltale Story game yeah I don't know if that's still going ahead because of what everything that happened but yeah they complet shut down now they sold the rights I think to the games that were going to finish to to other companies yeah it's come back to um Robert
Kirkman right oh yeah The Walking Dead Guy yeah yeah and he's going to try and finish it but yeah no cuz I think it could be interesting on Netflix but yes I don't know if if it's really going to take off it might be a cool gimmick yeah but yeah because I think kind of the point of a film is supposed to be someone's vision and so if it's you know not that it's it's that's still I guess you could still say the same thing but if you can choose the ending it doesn't really would do you guys remember a TV series that was on Australian television in the ' 80s called let the blood Run free where I remember the name yeah so it was it was like a it was like a hospital drama but like a really warped
[ __ ] up that had what's that guy's name Tim Tom what's that guy's name the actor forget it it had all those guys all the Comedy Company guys all the fast forward guys guys yeah all of them in it it was like it was like a like wandon Valley but with Gore and sex and [ __ ] right yeah no I remember I remember at the end of each episode they gave you a choice of what you wanted to happen and you could dial one number to make one ending and dial it it was like voting for your Australian Idol person to go through and then they would they would shoot that as as the storyline for the next week there you go so it has already been done before in a way yeah but but I just think I don't know if I want this because imagine I mean for some things if it's designed
for it it probably be fine but when I think about stuff like you know like a film like arrival or uh Blade Runner 2049 like I don't want to choose the ending I want the director and the writer to to to tell the story I think I think what what they're sort of going for because Netflix knows that people don't really watch new stuff anymore they just binge watch stuff they've seen over and over and over again so now they're going to sort of make it interesting to Bing watch a show that you've watched because you go back and you go and you watch it a different way this time could be a bit of fun I suppose people replay video games to get different endings and stuff I'm oh currently playing through the Batman
Telltale Game for the third time oh really well for achievements but I'm I'm playing through a game again and I'm not getting any achievements because it's on a different platform I caved and I now have Skyrim with me at all times of course you do it was only a matter of time it was only a matter of time on the switch I know you know what I was I've been I've been thinking about it for weeks and it hasn't it didn't it didn't leave my mind like i' would be like at work eating lunch like I could be playing Skyrim in Skyrim have you tried doing the sort of slashing with the sword with the remotes oh no I haven't I haven't bothered I've mean you can aim the bow and arrow with the similar to you know the way you can in Zelda y uh I haven't tried with the
sword no I just um the what are the graphics like on noral man I it's fine honestly I don't I was worried that I would it would look a bit [ __ ] but no I didn't even know screen is so small you don't need to have yeah but I put it up on the TV as well and I don't really notice you know what I think the thing is I played Skyrim so much when it first came out and this just looks like that before they released all the updates so and actually I think it's a little bit better than that it's better than the 360 version um and that's kind of mostly how I saw it so I haven't even noticed to be honest like it runs smooth it like it's [ __ ] Skyrim what's it do to your battery cuz
I'm going to shoot this B of the more High intense ones that would suck it I played it for a couple of hours last night in bed and I mean I I I don't know exactly how many hours but when I woke up it was daytime and I still had half half a batter half charge oh half a charge okay I could see 3 hours I think I think I played it for at least 3 hours last night and I still had half a battery I might be wrong on that but I think I did I nearly played with my switch in hospital nearly played but then someone let me their alien wear laptop and I've just been playing PC games so to someone at the hospital no guy I work with he was asleep so Luke just borrowed it oh but I we'll be buying a

above ouch I wish I could afford business class oh man business class [ __ ] long flight it's the longest flight in the world yeah it is apparently yeah yeah we got some Witcher news uh we got a couple of pieces of Witcher news I've noticed is the news that they've uh fired uh the bed active from yeah and replaced him with someone good no okay no no no look may maybe this is going to be like um when we were all disappointed that Heath Ledger was going to be the Joker and it turned out he was [ __ ] spectacular yeah look I'm I'm reserving judgment because really want to like this we didn't know it though we didn't know back then I didn't know he was as good as that no I thought Christopher Nolan had [ __ ] lost it yeah we should have
trusted Matt now we always trust him yeah should have yeah absolutely look I really want to like this show The Witcher show so I'm going to reserve judgment um they've cast Siri and Yen and I I I I mean spoilers there was a big kafuffle about [ __ ] Siri a few weeks back that we discussed people were mad because apparently they were trying to cast a minority oh as a white character God forbid God they haven't no they've cast a white girl oh thank God the internet can calm the [ __ ] down I know the world no longer needs to end um so I mean [ __ ] I wouldn't have care either way she's got perfect eyes for Siri yeah yeah and so this is obviously a younger Seri than than we'll see we
see in the in the video game but in the novels she is very young when he first meets her she's a child so this is the child Siri and they've cast yen uh and this girl looks very young too that's the one thing that I'm like hm okay that's Henry Cav's girlfriend yeah K's girlfriend looks about 14 and a half and look this is the world of The Witcher so probably accurate but uh you know maybe that's what they go for May imagine that they were like Henry because you're the lead role um you get to choose a leading lady he's like this one and they're like what for the I'll have I'll have that one thanks yeah and they're like no no no no not the Siri
he's like no no no no no no Yen Yen no no no you got to look through this book over here he's like no I've I've glanced at that I know who I'm looking at allegedly allegedly tell me how just don't plausible deniability now apparently uh 13 years between him which you know whatever she just I don't know she just she's young looking it's not bad if that's still the of I'm entirely this does so also I mean look this is one photo of her we're looking at like maybe she's just looks young in that photo so who's playing her I can't find her name CU I'm having trouble reading her name is Anya Ana chalotra chalotra is her name okay all right well Matt I don't know if you've had a chance
to listen to last week's show but most of it was just Luke and I doing Google image search for um for Hollywood actresses I did I edited last week to ask you I have I have a followup question from last week we'll get to that though um yeah so I I mean I'm fine with both of these choices I just yeah the one thing is I think in the photo that they've picked here Yen looks quite young you know I don't even I don't think I'm going to watch this show Jesus all right not because of who they've cast actually maybe a little bit for who they've cast but more so is The Witcher as but no this these type of show TV shows just don't interest me at all M like this is just reminded me of um Game of Thrones yeah but it's The Witcher yeah but Game of Thrones is [ __ ] great you
to [ __ ] I watched the first season and I I didn't get what everyone's going on about the first season was the worst season it just gets better and better and better you just wanted to rhyme yeah when you get the DVDs that's the tagline the first season was the worst season that was my sha Bean oh right I thought you went a little bit South African there I'll watch the first episode and then I'll decide of The Witcher yeah all right so make it good Netflix make it good get one Witcher news other Witcher news uh this is pretty interesting the author of The Witcher books we've about this before he uh he quite famously uh sold the rights for the series to CD project red pretty much nothing a couple
hundred grand I think and uh because they offered him a percentage and he said no video games are stupid I'll take the money thanks not an idiot and uh do we know how much The Witcher games have made all up we know that he's demanding another $16 million wow so they've made a lot more than that presumably um and apparently he might have a case CU his lawyer is saying the contract states that if if the if they go on to make significantly more than the deal that they've agreed to then the deal is nullified and he will be entitled to a percentage apparently that's what the contract says so what's a pretty dumb contract that says you can either take the money now or a percentage or if we make a lot of money come back and get both
later yeah so I don't know what the wording is and I assume I mean it' be in Polish so I'm not going to be able to to to read it anyway maybe it wasn't and maybe that's the problem maybe but yes so we'll see what happens I guess I assume they're not just going to pay him uh so we'll have to wait and see they just going to pay him they just would have paid him before cuz this isn't the first time he said he wants more money well yeah he's proba I mean I'm sure he kicking himself now when the first game came out I bet he was like oh yeah that did all right I guess cuz you know it was fine yeah he must be like people like video games who knew second game he would have been like oh [ __ ] that was a bit of a sucess and the third
game would have been oh my God third game he's like I've lost Millions time time for a lawsuit yeah he's like [ __ ] Matt even got Dan and Luke to play the third one so [ __ ] yep I haven't even finished the third one yet neither own finish it you can't finish it oh man if they release that on switch I own it twice on Xbox you do that's funny achievements so yes how am I doing for a they canell the they canel Iron Fist they did you know why they canel cuz no one was watching it CU it wasn't very good that's what I heard yeah I haven't watched any of I watched the first episode because when I heard they were doing an iron fist series I was like
[ __ ] and yes and uh it was not very good no I've sort of stayed away from the television series yeah Daredevil was good the first was okay yeah same I watched this first season but it just I just can't hold me can't hold me in its tender arms I started watching Jessica Jones as well I think it's because these are more serious yeah [ __ ] D Jessica Jones has got David Tenant I still haven't watched it I should I should watch that just because someone you like is in it doesn't mean you have to watch it it's like me in the Rock no you seen skyscraper he's in he's in Rampage and I haven't seen that oh I saw rampage this week Luke and you [ __ ] miss out I want to know
how's that [ __ ] it's it's it's way better than it has any right to be I know right [ __ ] knows it's it knows it's [ __ ] dumb and it goes for it it's it's almost like you can see the screenwriter sitting down at his [ __ ] typewriter with a copy of Rampage going so what I'm floppy how do I make a movie set in present day where a [ __ ] ape a crocodile and a wolf climb up a building but they do it did it yeah and it stars the rock as uh the nice guy with big muscles that he plays at every movie Yes shh it's a big arm don't fight it it's my favorite in the whole movie when he's choking that guy out oh yeah so good it's a big arm don't fight it and then that [ __ ] guy what's the guy from um The Walking Dead and
Supernatural you know the cowboy guy in it oh yeah stupidest character but he's great yeah fantastic and like he gets called out like buy another character on his stupid character like he he's an FBI agent but oh he's no he's not he's from like another government agency that's above all the other ones and they won't say the name of it because it's made up yeah that's right no the name of it is um a another government agency all right okay and he's got like he's got like two guns and he's like cowboy boots and he's like yep how's it going and then yeah that's right I'm going to watch that guy that guy's also in uh Watchman right oh yeah he is yeah that's right he's the comedian yeah which uh is [ __ ] great watchman's great I don't care what anyone says I [ __ ] love
that movie people say that that's not a good movie yeah man I get slam yeah people hate Zack Snider yeah they do but that's a good movie uh yeah yeah yeah it is uh but this got another uh actress in it too it's got uh um Silk Spectre in it as well Rampage does yeah huh oh she's the [ __ ] scientist yeah yeah or the business scientist business scientist the the the worst bad guys since [ __ ] Boris and Natasha from Rocky and Bullwinkle yeah they were terrible but that's all part of CH it's a great movie Luke you got to watch it this week you'll like it cuz I'm not I'm not at work for the next like still 3 four five
weeks so I've got time in my hand that I'm sure they ride the [ __ ] helicopter down the when the building great it's like we can't land it we don't need to land it we just need to stay one foot above the falling roof of this building [ __ ] excellent movie yeah I mean I I can't say I wouldn't recommend it to all young and old yeah it it knows what it is and it's great yeah it doesn't try and be something it's not it's the best video game adaptation I think yeah so far and especially like if you know the video game at all like you just spend the whole first half of the movie going how does a crocodile kind of factor into this
yeah he shows up yes he does that's great hey I mentioned uh we rewatched the Halloween movies uh and we were talking about the Rock John Carpenter creator of the Halloween films and director of Halloween one uh and director and writer I believe of Big Trouble in Little China that's right has mentioned this week because he's doing uh press for the new Halloween film that's out by the way which is apparently very good and it's also just a sequel to the first one I've heard that yes yes so I want I'm we're going to we're going to be seeing that which is just crazy how it just skips every other movie after that and just goes no don't worry about them well yeah makes
sense if you if you we've been rewatching them it makes sense yeah but uh he said this week we talked uh recently about how they're doing a Big Trouble in Little China sequel starring Dwayne The Rock Johnson and I've just realized I haven't played the Dwayne Johnson jingle Dwayne Johnson is not his name Dwayne the Rock johnon is the game but uh John Carpenter was asked about it in an interview this week and he said [ __ ] that movie oh wow because in his opinion they wanted to make a movie I think Lion's gate wanted to make a movie with Dwayne Johnson and they were just thinking what the [ __ ] can we come up with to get him on board so they were just throwing [ __ ] at the wall and how about Big Trouble in Little
China sequel Dwayne said yes they're like all right that's what we're making oh appar he that's John Carpenter's opinion that's what happened and he thinks he said they don't care about they don't care about the original they don't care about him it's got they they don't didn't have any ideas they just wanted to make a movie with Dwayne Johnson and because this is also a sequel it's easy to make lots more money off and yep yep so he's not happy about it did you guys see that uh there's a documentary on Netflix and I can't remember what it's called so this is you know just one of the typical multiple nerdgasm recommendations of the movie that you can never see Google it um
about a Hollywood producer and I I forget who it is it might even be one of the delarentis guys I I don't know but who um is basically responsible in the 80s and early '90s for buying the rights to films buying the sequel rights and just making shitty sequels and half the reason that most sequels are bad especially from the ' 80s and 90s is because they have nothing to do with the original and to do with the original Studios or prodction companies it's just this one guy who buys the rights makes a shitty movie as cheap as possible and then just relies on the uh on the name recognition kind of Genius yeah the Superman SE for example were his I believe oh God yeah three and four yeah yeah did we talk about um I finished by the way the uh the Arnold
Schwarzenegger autobiography oh yeah yeah it was very good actually very interesting um manov I tell you that about his movies the the the the and I actually rewatched Terminator and Terminator 2 as a result cuz I was [ __ ] they are so good what happened to James Cameron I know man James Cameron was the [ __ ] he went to the bottom of the ocean yeah [ __ ] never came back Terminator and Terminator 2 are so good like [ __ ] man but he's making a new Terminator isn't he no he only making Avatar movies yeah he's producing the new Terminator which has s Linda Hamilton in it again so I'm excited to see her again because she's [ __ ] great yeah she's fantastic I don't think he's making Avatar movies he keeps saying it yeah there's nothing I
think they filmed them they filmed them all haven't they and now they're in post production well filmed yes but uh there's a chapter in in Annie's book where he talks about termin and how James Cameron pitching the story to people back in the 80s and then being like the [ __ ] are you talking about just because the the the whole story of it is just so I mean now it's like everybody knows it and you kind of go yeah yeah yeah but but like at the time everyone was like [ __ ] what like the the the computers take over in the future and and there a war against humanity but the the film is set in the 80s because they send back a guy to kill the the John Conor's mother it's like the [ __ ] and yeah he said just at the
time oh yeah and did we talk about he was supposed to play Kyle ree I don't think we talked about this have we that's right because didn't Lance henriksson originally get cast as the Terminator um did he get cast or one once he turned down [ __ ] what's his name OJ Simpson was going to be the Terminator [ __ ] what and they were in they and and Anie was going to be Kyle Ree and then apparently they went to lunch and Anie was like I don't know about this OJ guy and said like I think you need someone with military training because this guy needs to act like a robot he needs to not blink when he shoots the gun and he and he had all these ideas I mean this is AR Ary telling the story so who knows
who knows how true it is but he he had all these ideas and then like James Cameron was like maybe you should play the Terminator if you if you have such strong opinions about it and you know yeah you certainly fit the fit the role and he he was like no no no I don't want to be a bad guy in a movie like he refused to take on roles where he was a bad guy yeah he wanted to be the hero he yes he wanted to be the leading man always and he was like no we could you you're going to be the star of the film for sure and then like convinced him just said just don't do a film just don't be a bad guy in the next film you do and then he was like yeah all right and see it could have been that or James Cameron could have gotten there on the first day uh when they had to read the
lines and then this big musly dude who barely had a command of the English language started reading his lines as K Reese and he was like maybe you could play the Robot who doesn't talk maybe [ __ ] imagine if he yeah imagine if he was K re imagine the world that we would live in now if we had not seen the Terminator movies we had seen we saw one where OJ Simpson played the Terminator in Terminator 2 as well right if they had have made that movie I don't think we would still be talking about Terminator today yeah and Arnold swz Niger was Kyle ree cuz yeah just having a super huge musly human that travels back in time doesn't make much sense cuz they s like they get to go to the gym yes yeah Michael Bean is so good in it yeah and that's the thing I mean he's
just a regular guy he's just a [ __ ] Soldier they just send him back and he's got to [ __ ] help her protect her from this massive [ __ ] thing and it's Schwarz that's why that's why he's a great character because he's not like I mean he's not he he he's wiry but he's not like musly or anything he's like a [ __ ] Scrappy future you know resistance fighter yeah what you'd sort of expect also a lot of cameos in that uh if you rewatch it the first Terminator you got [ __ ] Bill Paxton as a punk who tries to yeah tries to to mug Arnold schwarzer at one point and Lance Hendrickson plays one of the cops I'm sure Lance Hendrickson plays a cop because was he auditioned for the role of the Terminator and didn't get it or he did
get it yeah could be because I I remember him telling a story that he went to the audition for Terminator and he covered his teeth in tin foil what um and then make it look like he was a robot yeah he's a robot underneath his skin you know which is I guess he hadn't read the whole script but oh man but apparently like the he was going to play it like it wasn't just some big [ __ ] musly hun of metal and and flesh it was basically like a guy who you wouldn't even think twice if he was standing next to you on the subway you know this guy could just get into a crowd kill you and get out and he would know what happened which again would be a movie if that had have happened we
wouldn't be talking about it today imagine [ __ ] Michael Bean wasn't in it and Schwarzenegger wasn't in it it was [ __ ] OJ Simpson as Kyle Ree and [ __ ] Lance Hendrickson is The Terminator [ __ ] foil on his teeth well even uh Predator another Arie film imagine the [ __ ] they hadn't brought Stan Winston in have you seen the original alien yes it's a big [ __ ] crab that's played by um vanam yeah vanam in a [ __ ] doing karate crab suit well it was it was red I think yeah it was a big red suit stand look like a big lobster yeah ridiculous yeah that's and then cuz he talks about that too like he he was like this movie's going to be a [ __ ] disaster and then but everyone thought that about
Star Wars too yeah and they just [ __ ] turned around brought Stan Winston in and he came up how about this is the predator and they were like [ __ ] me yeah he's like I've just seen a movie called alien and that was really [ __ ] scary so here's one that's just as [ __ ] scary yeah how about instead of a Big Red Lobster we have this [ __ ] terrifying thing I come up with it's like a [ __ ] ninja cockroach yeah genius guys uh do you want to go to the Afterparty oh they've just opened the doors actually I think I can see oh they're pouring a soda water for me and a a pedo for Luke and then I think oh they've got a beer out there for [ __ ] you can I can I order a gin yet you can order me one sure absolutely I'd love a gin when when are you allowed to drink
