welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy s's at work the other day and a colleague of mine just casually very casually mentioned that she's moving into a new block of Apartments that's built quote on top of the site of the old Colonial graveyard and I was like do you not have a problem with that she's like no no no they've moved the headstones and I'm like but the bodies are there do you know do you not know how you get ghosts not seen Poltergeist I know they moved their head [ __ ] The Shining you can't do that it's a colonial graveyard
where they buried the the white people uh it could have been where the white people chucked the natives could have been the white people buried themselves imag inist it's like old um oh no they're not they're not are they it's uh they I'm trying to remember the plot of poltergeist now they only moved the stones yeah I know but they I think they buried the people on top of the the Indian burial ground and then and then they moved the headstones and so the house was built on top of a cemetery on top of a cemetery so right so they they built the house desecrated a grave site that had already desecrated a different grave site I mean that's definitely how you get ghosts I think that is the plot of poter ghost if I recall correctly or
I'm just mixing that up with another movie where where that happens this is when does it become okay just to build over grave sites never ever never never ever just don't do it um I think literally everywhere on Earth could technically be defined as a grave site yes oh great now I can't build anywhere something has died everywhere well what I think I've always wondered like when is it okay for an archaeologist to go in and dig dig people up yeah that's a fair point when when does it become like no no no that's everybody's corpse yeah yeah yeah when does Grave robbery turn to archaeology there must be like a cut off point isn't wasn't um I feel like Indiana Jones in some capacity there was a plot lineing like that that he was a grave robber but I don't think it made
it into any maybe was it one of the video games or something I think there's been a couple of mentions of it and I think in the second one they say something about he was caught grave robbings and they they threatened to cut off his hands yes yes cuz yeah it is a sort of very Gray Line like it one day one day it's not okay to go dig people up and the next day it's fine go crazy yeah like if if there was a religion today that was like oh we bury uh our Dead with a bunch of riches and then as soon as they left everyone was like statute of limitations like pretty low on that you tell me there's riches down there yeah let's go in and get them and then oh but no it's been a thousand years oh all right then yeah up for
grabs I uh was in Cambodia and there's a lot of old temples there that were destroyed by the K Rouge and uh back in the 70s and I was having a look at one and the guide was showing me around and there was this hole dug in the center of one I said oh was down here he's like this where they broke and and got the treasure and I was like wait there was Treasure here he's like yeah and I'm like like back in the Kam Rouge days he's like no no year before last like [ __ ] man you mean I'm only 2 years too late to [ __ ] come in and dig up the treasure what was the treasure I don't know know well it was gone by that point did it get there soon enough yeah I think we just need to go to Cambodia I can't believe they're still finding [ __ ] underneath temples like down in South
America now that they found a door down there they don't want to open it because they don't want to wreck whatever's in there but they don't know what's in there yet they just found a door could be anything in there yeah I don't think I could find a door and then have the guy go okay you found the door good for you but you're not allowed to open it [ __ ] that yeah that's right I found a door in my house like well guess I better check with with the previous owner find out what's in here yeah I would do that too Matt cuz just going back to building houses on Old gravid I don't know what's buried under your house but if you find a mysterious door that wasn't there before don't go into it okay cuz that's how you get ghosts too all right yeah I feel like I feel
like I would open yeah yeah I think I'd open it too I'd be hoping for more of a David Lynch movie than a poltergeist if I opened this mysterious door in my house you'd you'd hope for a lesbian love scene why not both that's the film film yeah I mean we all pretend there's no driveing here yeah oh look it's ghosts but they're licking each other out oh I have not heard that term in a very long I decided to try to use the most crass way I could possibly say it that's definitely our high school way of saying it I mean you know ghost sex is a thing we all pretend that there's not a ghost [ __ ] in Ghostbusters well no that's there's not that's a dream [ __ ] Ray gets his dick
sucked in the middle of the night by a ghost that was a dream sequence only it's only a dream sequence because they cut out the rest of the scene that made sense of that that is a weird thing that's in that movie I got to say yeah bizarre if you were making a comedy movie today for the whole family you wouldn't be like and then the ghost sucks his dick well actually sorry I'll stop you there if we were making a family movie we would have that in oh yeah we probably would yeah I think he didn't mean us he meant normal people yeah Luke I saw a movie the other day that I think you should watch it's called bad times at the L Royale have you heard of this no oh it's got Chris Hemsworth in it hasn't it yeah it's got Chris Hemsworth uh and it's got the dude
from Jeff Bridges Jeff Bridges yeah it's got him it's got John Ham in it from uh Mad Men but the reason I think look it's a good movie yeah yeah yeah that's right your CZ the reason I it's a good movie to begin with very good I've really really enjoyed it actually but uh I think that if we had kept making Black Hog movies from when we were making them until now and got better and they got less sick y this would be where we ended up making this was the plot of this movie was a combination of Secrets and the Messiah if we had have just been probably started we were 5 years younger we probably would have been doing it still cuz the internet would have been around more YouTube would have been there and it would have been would have been at the the start of
all of that yeah I mean we had a lot of bootleg tapes going around but I mean you can't sustain that on on a global scale no imagine now somebody was like what do these guys used to do and then found some of the [ __ ] you guys used to make you would be cancelled yeah that's true yeah no I think we we were fine there was nothing wrong with what we did there was that very long scene of Dave being brutally cruely violated by you all he was a very bad man I no I know that I like how Luke like no no no he was a bad man it's okay to do that to bad men that's right I'm just stay out of I don't I don't agree with that now but back then that was yeah that should
happen CH times have changeed can't times have changeed you can't sodomized criminals anymore this PC world we live in um speaking about things that people making comments I I just have to say this and you know I mean we don't often have Barbara St and news on on this podcast we have before we've talked mostly about the fact that she's got a uh a meme named after her and the fact that she's got a um shopping mall under her house where only she can shop and a dog that wasn't the same as the real dog Babs is in the news this week because uh I mean we've we've discussed on this podcast the uh the Michael Jackson documentary leaving Neverland and the
allegations and uh you know a lot of people are divided a lot of people are saying that um all of these eyewitnesses to the events are pretty much proof that it happened and other people are saying that his music so good that we shouldn't believe it so you can weigh in wherever you want on that one I want to apologize CU it did sound a little bit when I listened to the podcast back that I was like no you know maybe they're lying I felt like maybe I was a bit Wishy wish Wishy Wishy Wishy wasy on that and I want to apologize if I came that's all right yeah a couple of weeks ago I had want apology too just for some of the jokes I made it's it's kind of like one of those things where for some reason it's been okay and I actually read a great article the other day that said
the fact that everyone made jokes about it right from the start is one of the key contributors to why he got away with it because he could do weird stuff and everyone's like Michael Jackson molests kids yeah and it's like just a joke yeah yeah but anyway Babs has come out this week and uh and she's basically um taken the approach that um it's his thing and you can't call him on it so what apparently she says that uh his accusers were thrilled to be there and at least he didn't kill them yeah yeah yeah they should be thankful yeah hold on there's a there's a better quote let me let me find it what a [ __ ] take yeah you apologize for any pain or misunderstanding she caused when she was like well yeah you know they were just raped not raped and
murdered yeah exactly I didn't mean that I didn't mean to imply that being raped is great on thrilled to be there this is great on when I was a kid my thing was not being raped whoa whoa whoa what that was your thing that was my thing yeah I don't want to be raped yeah and I'm pretty sure that's what the kids would have think was as well I mean I didn't really think about it to be honest I didn't really have a don't rape me Vibe going but uh I'm with you on principle I did yeah wasn't my thing I wasn't thinking about it all the time like hope I to get raped today I didn't yay yeah yeah so here's here's the here's the the entire quote look his sexual needs were his sexual needs you can say molested but those children as you heard them say
were thrilled to be there and now they're both married so you know it didn't kill him end quote [ __ ] me what the hell that is a bad take that's the worst take goodness um if you could excuse me for a second I've just got to turn down the stove okay just give one second okay sure when we started out this podcast we were just a bunch of [ __ ] kids and [ __ ] we were roommates and all this stuff like this like now we're nearly 40 and I got [ __ ] dinner on so I got to turn it down hold on I'll be right back no problem no problem uh responsibility I know got a puppy I got to look after now uh puppies puppies are awesome yeah he's pretty good he's very good and to me dogs always say puppies unless they're bad then they're bad dogs
and then you [ __ ] them in the ass all right I'm back you you do what you want I'm I I love my animals but not that much he said he was I don't know what you're talking about but but uh okay I think you know exactly what we were talking about I'm pretty sure it's going to be cut Luke just to back up no nothing will be cut uh to back up when you say that when you were young you had a don't rape me f well no point did you decide ah [ __ ] it no I'm just time to do time to do away with all childish things what else going you kill the past cuz she sort of doing like that's his thing that's what he had to do well most children their thing is yet not for bad things to happen to just to be clear luke she wasn't blaming the children she wasn't saying that
these kids had a please rape me thing going she was just saying that that she excuses Jackson's Behavior because everyone's got a thing yeah but the thing is like most people have a thing where they don't want bad things to happen to them then just because his thing was he wanted to do that doesn't mean it overrides their thing for bad things not to happen is that how things work I mean it certainly seems like how it should be but uh I completely actually completely age with Luke on this uh and I'm glad he's clarified yeah what what on Michaelson being in white face well he he claimed that was a disease so if I go black face and I'm like disease it's a disease Luke I've
got a disease what disease is that it's called my thing and you can't call me on it the I can call you on that fair fair oh Barbara stri end um so that's probably the last we will ever he hear of her I don't know man she's the last time you heard I haven't heard of her in a very long time doing anything yeah other than the shopping mall and the Clones like this is the thing she doesn't do much very often but when she does stuff she does it big she does it big and she does it public the dog and the shopping thing that's her being private still that's not her going out and about so yeah you got a good point at least they're not not dead [ __ ] hell I mean at least they're not dead you can say literally about any bad thing that happened that
didn't result in someone's death fox has been uh oh yeah it finally happened absorbed into the Disney Collective officially yeah yeah one thing I saw quite funny part of the merger is you saw like photos of it happening and Disney now have like Deadpool yes like photos of it happening front and center Deadpool was there he had to sign off yeah they they let him over on a leash and handed the Reigns to uh Ryan Reynolds literally Ryan Reynolds handed him over he your problem now to Bob Iger and Bob iger's like this is your home now but yeah I just thought it a bit weird that they would cuz that means we might get another Deadpool movie I mean the last one was [ __ ] mediocre guys the R rated uh movies they said they might I think they said they're going to
continue them but they'll be a separate thing I mean obviously they're going to be a separate thing they're not going to put [ __ ] Deadpool in yeah in you know Avengers although I mean he does cross over in the comics but I mean it's yeah not the same thing either that they have to very very drastically change the tone of those movies um you could not you could probably still get him in just as a like see the I can see the Guardians pumping into him I don't know man the the company that fired James gun for his tweets I don't think they they yeah but I don't think they could put Deadpool in one of the movies not those movies it's it's not very family friendly is it no you know it's funny the first thing they're going to say is oh the kids are going to see this and it's like oh yeah
but the parents will see Deadpool and they'll know but then the kids are going to be like oh I want to watch the movie with that guy in it like I don't think Disney's going to want that at all yeah that's true but does Disney's responsibility extend to other things that AR guess the question is whether they feel it does or not yeah I mean kids could watch Guardians of the G and go [ __ ] man who's this guy what's uh what's tromeo and Juliet because of that one [ __ ] prisoner in the first movie that look at that old man he looks great what's he done Lloyd calman yeah how would the duck okay Googling oh yeah oh yeah that movie yeah I love that
movie that's scared a little it's pretty dark at the end scared you because you you had never considered sex with an animal before and then you saw Leah Thompson the mum from Back to the Future [ __ ] a duck she was hot in that movie she's hot in every movie mate she's hot in Jaws 3 Jaws three Jesus she's the girl that gets eaten at the start of Jaws three wow what a sexy shark Jo I think going have to go watch how the duck it's almost as bad as Jaws 2 which was [ __ ] Jaws 2 was [ __ ] yeah is it three where the wife goes after the shark or something isn't three the one where the shark follows them to another country yes yes correct no no two the shark follows them as well two the shark tracks down the sun of the guy yeah
that's right the shark's like I'm going to kill his children yeah yeah [ __ ] stupid and it's Michael Kane and then in number three um yes go to the [ __ ] Bahamas and the shark's like where you going the Bahamas right I'm [ __ ] there I'll see you there and he's like oh F he seeing you guys here yeah po into my mouth I do love geores though I do love it yeah not the same movie after the first one not the no story really franchise movies really are I tell you what though I saw a movie this week called Spider-Man into the spiderverse a [ __ ] I got watch that mate you do it's [ __ ] great that's what everyone keeps saying yeah it's uh everything everyone says is true it's smart it's funny it's wellmade it's
beautifully animated it's probably the closest to reading a comic book that you can feel while watching a movie you know sorry unle the Hulk um this Does It Better h Le the Hulk you know I had I had we discussing um Hulk movies for some reason recently I foret I can't remember who maybe was it on this show I don't remember but but the the topic of the first Hulk movie came up and we and obviously who whoever I was talking to was not familiar with the the on Le one and we were talking about that it probably wasn't this podcast cuz I was saying we were talking about Jennifer Connelly and Li Tyler but we were talking about the wrong person because the No No the girl from the first Hulk movie I'm like oh Jennifer Connelly and the conversation
went on a bit and then it's like yeah I can't believe she's um Steven Tyler's daughter I'm like Jennifer Connell is not Steven Tyler's daughter like that kind of thing and it was just like he does have daughters yeah we like the [ __ ] and then yeah anyway look I wasn't a huge fan of Ang's Hulk but I'm a big fan of the next one oh incredible oh I love it and I actually think I mean I understand why they didn't continue with Edward Norton but I hate that that means that that movie is no longer Cannon do you know what I mean like I almost want them to go back and re-shoot his scenes with [ __ ] Mar Ruffalo yeah Mark Ruffalo is great but imagine [ __ ] Thor Ragnarok with Edward Norton in it yeah I mean I he's pretty good at comedy yeah I don't know how Mark Ruffo
got in the door but I'm glad he did yeah yeah he's [ __ ] great but but then also I'm like I know Edward not might have been great it was Jed who got rid of him right because he said they had a meeting about Avengers and he was like nah he's not a te how yeah how about it's called The Hulk featuring The Avengers yeah yes I've give you I've provided a a notebook of uh of extensive notes on the uh on the Avengers film thanks Ed uh bye we'll be in touch thanks for that we'll give you a call when we're ready for you on set and he's wait still waiting to this day yep he's a great actor though I'm not I'm not dissing Ed Norton Edward Ed given some [ __ ] fantastic performances but yeah and I feel like maybe that's overblown a bit like is he
really that bad to work with I mean he seems to get on pretty well with a lot of other directors and I don't think he was difficult to work with I just think he you know what I don't even know the details of but it was something to do with he he basically wanted top billing in Avengers so whether that I know they had a dispute too because when with the Incredible Hulk he he was unhappy with the script and he did change a lot of stuff but then m there was a dispute about they were like no he didn't use any of his stuff and then like Sweden is is like I'm not [ __ ] using someone else's ideas in my movie I'm a [ __ ] man I think he was like no no I'm not I'm not up for any of that garbage so yeah I find it funny that Jos Weeden trumps Edward Norton in that case yeah
it's interesting right I mean [ __ ] Jos weeden's fallen out of favor lately with everybody he can't he used to be like a champion of kind of you know feminism by you know with his strong female leads and that now now everyone [ __ ] hates him he's just a bunch of stereotypical horeshit I know it's so funny how how quickly it changes I mean it's like the uh it's like The Simpsons right which is also now a [ __ ] Disney property but the Simpsons The Simpsons had a character upu and everyone was like oh my God this is the only Prime Time show that has a South Asian character on it isn't it great and then they were like you know you know what that's a racist stereotype so cancel him that was last year this year they're bringing him back because too many people complained there are no
diversity within the characters really they back yeah so they bring it in back does that mean Sanji can come back Luke no no no so I don't want to stay on this for long but I just want to drop this I just want to drop this Pebble in the pond okay I was in India last week never been there before my first time there um they do it it's real what they all do it what a little little head wiggle oh the head wle sometimes yes sometimes no yeah they it's an actual thing and and I don't I couldn't figure out person I worked with about it they just do it like I was just talking to people and they were just wiggling around and I was like are you saying yes or you saying no or it depends yeah cuz it's something that i' yeah and something that sort of
happens over there they um people from they won't say no like it'll be always we try we'll see what we can do we'll try and get it's never an outright no whereas Australia I tell I tell you the people that I was asking if I can film in their properties were definitely saying no but uh but I take your point generally speaking cuz yeah I work a lot of people who who from there even I was in training last week and yeah my trainer was talking explaining how yeah over there they don't really say no I remember I when I worked in uh the place I work in we had two developers who were from India and uh we had my boss who was Greek who just didn't give a [ __ ] and used to ask any [ __ ] inappropriate question that popped into his head at any time he was wonderful but he's like
what's with that [ __ ] head wigland thing and then they like trying to explain it to him I I remember reading an article about it so yeah yeah best way to learn sometimes is just ask question he means well but he's just just like oh [ __ ] don't ask him that that reminds me ask him in that way I used to work with I used to work with a guy who was who was gay and he was very handsome and uh there was this girl from mainland China who was part of the team and she just could not understand why someone so handsome would choose to be gay like so she would just say she would just say to his face she was she was like girls would date you like so many girls and he's like I don't care I don't I don't want to date I don't want
to date even one girl she's like no no you don't understand you are very handsome all the girls would like you you could [ __ ] anyone you want and he's like right I don't want to [ __ ] any of them yeah he hasn't made this a choice to be gay because he thinks women won't date him look while we're in India um there's there's some more Indian news today uh do we still have a [ __ ] watch jingle uh we do we definitely do I'm just not sure in the current climate whether it's appropriate but we can we can do [Music] it well I mean there's one called dwarf watch we we'll find out podcast at mm.com yeah if you're offended let us know uh and you probably are um we get
more submissions for [ __ ] watch then we do complaints about it there was a period where there was a bit of bit of guys you just still doing that and then uh yeah yeah it's come so far now that people are like keeping it alive mind you know dwarves have actually sent anything in and we thought one did once and it turned out turns out it was a fake I forgot about that yes yeah we got a fake submission we got we got had in a big way we [ __ ] ate that up um did you confiscate that prize I did yeah he did he did that's right we had to provoke someone's [ __ ] prize yeah fake fake cheating such a good fake photo that was fantastic none it's very convincing cuz of little crutches yeah anyway fake [ __ ] um this is not a fake [ __ ] uh but it is a fake
something this is a Pakistani waiter who looks exactly like Peter Dinklage and he is now making a decent living and has become internet famous and the article loading and yeah yeah yeah man that's awesome yeah so the thing is he's never heard of Game of Thrones really yeah imag so many people I imagine in this photo at the top here where this this guy is talking to him and he's explaining what Game of Thrones is and he's like what and they they just [ __ ] each other yeah all all right well even the ones who were related yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah and they all [ __ ] the [ __ ] yeah and then if you scroll down the one he's being handed a plate but you can tell on his face he's being told
like if you're going to do this you're going to have to [ __ ] everybody yeah but yeah and the one girl you love is going to [ __ ] your dad I don't know if you guys kept watching that far I watched the first season oh man he fell in love with a prostitute they were I saw that far she [ __ ] her dad then he killed her and killed him it was [ __ ] brilliant one more season guys one more no I saw that far yeah yeah yeah probably not going to watch it oh man I watch it one day when you and I used to sit there like the second it would finish in America and we'd be on the Pirate Bay [ __ ] it didn't change Matt it didn't
change yeah no people ruined it for me there too many too many I I got I didn't have time to watch it straight away and then too many times people would be like oh did you watch it this week no I didn't what do you think of this [ __ ] thing that happened like you weren't even listening to me you were just waiting to say it true you weren't even listening so I I was like you know what I'm out I'm done yeah maybe that's a little maybe that's immature uh no no I I mean I get it I get it uh but it just goes back to our thing about that we talked about on this podcast a little while ago about how spoilers shouldn't really matter because it's not what happens it's how it happens so I'll try to take that uh try to take that approach to things that get spoiled on
the internet before we move on from dwarf watch um there's there's another piece of news uh this week um this also may come under Star Wars news it Alo may come under dick news so I don't know if we need a jingle that encompasses all three or whether we should just play the three Jingles back to back goodness I'll leave that up to you Matt do you want to see my dick St St St but Nicholas Reed who is a dwarf who stars in uh in the the Star Wars prequels uh and uh and the Harry Potter movies God knows as what um but he's 48 years old uh he's in the news this week because um he decided to jerk off had a video
arcade video arcade of all [ __ ] places what was he playing uh he was playing with his dick mat dou well according to the the photo that I'm looking at here playing one of those things where you you use the claw to come and grab toys why would you joke off over that machine they're the wor jockey look at him yeah dressed as a jockey yep because if you're going to go into a place where children hang out and jerk off and you're a dwarf I guess you want to draw as much attention to yourself as possible what a strange thing to do all right and then if you you know he looks a little bit like uh the guy from Little Britain yes he does yeah very Little
Britain I never cared for Little Britain Luke did you see a Harry Potter play this week I did not Hannah went and saw it okay there's a play of Harry yes is it official or is it just like some high school kids that love har Potter it's official it's Harry Potter in the cursed child or something I think it is cursed child okay provocative title it's like 6 hours what it's like it's over two nights it's 3 hours each night that's like a minseries play yeah wait you go several nights in a row yep wow H okay almost wish I was into Harry Potter if they did a Star Wars version that'll be [ __ ] right there yeah have I told you this story before a friend of
ours was at a convention and there were I think there was a a guy there who had been a Ewok in in Return of the Jedi and they went up to get to say hello and to get an autograph and presented him with a photo of wicked and this guy is like I'm not signing that that's not me and then and she was like oh you couldn't just sign it anyway for for my kid he was like absolutely not signning someone photograph I agree with him no just sign the [ __ ] photo Jesus look I uh I I've heard of like ball players not signing baseball cards of teams they used to be
part of but aren't anymore and I think that's a bit silly yeah yeah cuz that's still them but you know I mean you've got you've got that rare picture of SE Sean connory signed by Roger Moore so you know see I wonder if he's like like was he actually upset about it how could you be like oh wait which which [ __ ] carpet were you inside of yeah exactly and where's the where's the [ __ ] glossy 8 by 10 of that then that I could it possibly be that he was selling that photo maybe he the case if that if he was selling a photo then yes you have to buy one you can't just bring your own photo of someone else I put it to you that you should be
able to bring a Star Wars poster to any Star Wars cast member and expect them to sign it yeah that's fair I sure ASW well no what I'm not even in Stars they will sign extra stuff but you still need to pay for the signature so when when I went s Carrie Fisher like PID to get a photo and you go up and get the photo sign and she will also sign up to like I think was like five other things you bring right but there's also there is that initial you are still paying for it yeah or if you're um Lance Hendrickson you feel so bad about charging that you just hang out and chat for minutes do yeah yeah I'm a nice guy yeah he's [ __ ] we uh did the guy that we were shooting with in India this week as a cricket player is very well known not to me though of
course I had no idea um but uh um everyone else was [ __ ] geeking out over him and I was I don't know who you are but uh but people wanted stuff signed and he would sign things but he would only sign with a name some people said oh just don't sign it with my name just sign your name and he was like no no cuz that's worth money when you sell it on eBay if it's signed it's worthless oh what does he care well I don't know well I think I think it annoys people that who go out with the express purs of just getting a sshot so they can go and make money off it yeah okay that's fair enough it's like people I I mean look if if if people do this you know whatever I just think it's odd when you go to a convention and then buy a
pre-signed photo especially like if I mean if the celebrities there just go go say hi and get them to sign it but like you know you buy ones that it's just like just a photo of a [ __ ] yeah you know you can't think of a celebrity I can't think of a single celebrity henriksson Lance exactly Lance Henri's a good example why would you I don't know I don't know yeah well people do go buy just signed photos cuz they do want to have it but people aren't going to go buy a signed photo that's too L Hendrick unless their name is Matt that would be weird but yeah that's all it is that's why doesn't want people just run and sell it you know what I when I sign anything I sign too Matt just because [ __ ] [ __ ] the
system yeah I'm realizing now that sign things people like them I guess I'm just no but here's the thing no no but I'm with you man because I like but I want things signed by them for me and I want you know what I mean like I don't want I don't want to walk up and like a production line I want to I want to be able to say my of americs because when I met Neil he [ __ ] signed it yeah ier I yeah I don't know like my stanlee photo it's signed by my comic it's signed by him and then I said hello to him and I told him about how I used to paint myself Green in his in his own blood you painted yourself green like I don't know it's just I I I know it's it's personal preference people like him anyway I I know I don't think I would buy one that was just signed by him you
know on a production line in his [ __ ] bedroom at some point you know were in his bedroom I'm [ __ ] because I'm a hypocrite because I've got signed albums by bands I didn't meet the band I just bought the true I guess I'm just looking at it and in fact when I when I knew other people were going to see them I gave them [ __ ] CDs and said can you get this signed for me while you're there yeah so I guess I'm paper cruit in a way you know what it is though I think it's it's things have changed recently that that cuz there's so many cons and and then this is such a thing now it is possible that they'll sign things for me it didn't used to be so maybe that's a factor as well whereas now I'm like like well no no no I can just go and say
hello to that person whereas I couldn't have done that you know in [ __ ] penth 20 years ago yeah that's right yeah you had to just go to Fantasia and pay whatever the [ __ ] cost it was I love that store whereas now you can actually walk up you could walk up to Lance henrion and say I've seen all of your movies and he can I haven't even seen all of my movies yeah he said he said you know a lot about my movies I do I do awesome I'm just going to go over here and call Security man no [ __ ] he must have loved it that you knew about the [ __ ] tin foil on the teeth yeah no no he he did he was he was into it he's a top guy if you get the chance to chat with him listeners do it he's [ __ ] great if you do chat with Lance hron um let us know how it went
right in podcast at multiple nerdgasm doc M nerd on Twitter mulm on Facebook and Instagram and uh let us know if he told you that he uh that you know a lot about movies he probably doesn't yes you guys can just reminisce about Jim that's what that's what we call James Cameron l call him Jim Jimmy C speaking of Jim yeah there's uh there's talk of a new Terminator film yes dark fate involving Jim yes yeah well he's producing it right producing is okay that's all right so long as he oversees it because uh you know as long as it's like Hands-On producing not just yeah yeah I want the kind of producing that Steven Spielberg did on poltergeist yes yeah not just he's my credit card yeah I can't make this movie for contractual reasons but I'm going to
direct it and you're just going to put your hands on the camera right yeah it's got Linda Hamilton in it man that's someone i' like to say hi to but she has crippling social anxiety so that probably won't happen but uh she seems cool James Cameron's ex-wife Jim's ex-wife Linda Hamilton were they married I didn't know that yeah in the 90s H I think during ter the filming of Terminator 2 they were married and then they got divorced after that but with this movie they're actually they're sort of just forgetting that Terminator 3 exists aren't they yeah than oh I hope so yeah I hope they are going I I pretend it doesn't exist they're just saying like it's Terminator one two and then this movie we anything in between this is what fans have been doing for
years just and you know unofficially ignoring now RoboCop's doing it he's uh uh what's his name Neil Blom Camp's gone like well let's just not have those other movies be real man uh Ridley Scot did it with alien yes yeah and then also alien colonial Marines did it too but not talk well I mean yeah but yeah riddle riddles was just like no don't care I I want to watch alien Covenant again just to see yeah I want to watch it again too yeah yeah see watch it with a bit less expectation perhaps cuz I I read a take on it the other day that it's actually quite good if you if you can kind of cleanse your mind before it of of yeah expectation I guess is the right word yeah it's actually but I also think
Luke's right I think when we first like when we sort walked out of promethus where like [ __ ] man the sequel to this is going to be off the charts and they're like oh we're not going to do the sequel about what you think we're going to skip over all that stuff yeah yeah yeah because well most people didn't like Prometheus I guess no yeah yeah like we got we got what he was doing but it wasn't I took a second viewing for me to like it yeah yeah right the first time I wasn't that impressed h no I was all in I was all in the only thing that I think and and and this was a later addition to the script is that I I thought I thought there was some signifiers that this was definitely linking straight between the plot of this and the plot of alien that they
then went no no no no no no no it's a different planet like what yeah come on no the script was originally it was literally called alien something I forget yeah might might have been alien Covenant think about it and uh and it literally was a prequel to alien yeah and that was the ship and then you're you're right it's just so obvious that that's what it was like it's almost silly yeah that's right still yeah they do that a lot yeah oh you know what we talk about how I rewatched Alien versus Predator the other week no why would you rewatch that how was it it's terrible yeah uh but it has Lance Hendrickson in it so that's a plus uh but yeah no it's it's just not good it's got some good stuff but not aot it just doesn't make any sense and it
yeah no and it got a sequel yeah which was worse certainly did speaking of sequels and predators I attempted to watch The Predator recently oh I was going to try that I turned it off right that good it's just it's just so generic you know it's like all movies are the same now didn't they also have to cut a lot of that just before it came out did they I don't I don't even know because of the one guy that they hide on it that turned out that he like was abusing his niece or something yeah there was a it was a friend of Shane Black's Shane black the director it was a friend of his and he put him in the movie and then what's her name Olivia man Olivia man is that who's in that I think she found out about it and she was like [ __ ] you for
not telling us yeah uh and made a big fuss about it in the rightly so sorry that sounded a little little conding she women making a big fuss about sexual AR not she she brought it up a lot on the Press tour uh because she was really mad about it rightly so and then and then they were like okay we'll remove him from the uh from the film yeah and the director was sort of like oh I've spoken to him and it was yeah it was just a little thing it's not true and then it came out no he pled guilty it's true and he's went F jail for it I've been misinformed of this yeah he said sorry and they I think they did a quick re-edit and got rid of most of his scenes yeah so I don't know how much that affected the movie but uh well I tell you it didn't affect my experience
of turning it off so unless his part was just so so magical that it would have held my attention uh then uh that's a nogo from me you mentioned Neil gamon before and this just popped back into my head CU I was trying to think about did I watch anything this week I did I finished watching the Neil gamer Master Class oh and and oh it's [ __ ] excellent it's even like I don't I don't write you know the way that you know I write things but I don't write novels but still it doesn't matter Neil you can read and write yes and Neil G is fascinating and I can sit there and watch him talk you know oh man I just want to listen to him talk as I fall sleepy tonight I've paid money to go and just watch him talk me too we all have um but he at one point
in this in the in the master class says he's talk he's kind of wrapping things up at the end and he says you know and you'll go back and you'll you'll reread the book that you wrote and and then at times when you're writing it feels like it's difficult and at times it feels like it's easy but when you read it back at the end you can't tell when there's no difference between your voice in those times you just need to to be confident and just know that there won't be a difference and and the the reader won't be able to tell but you read it back and you'll know I wrote this section when I had a migraine and I was like migraine a what Neil giman says migraine oh all right okay didn't I've never heard that before no I've never
heard someone pronounce it that way before but if he says it it must be right you know that was my first thought was like I've been saying migrain wrong cuz if Neil gamon says it that way he's British yeah I mean far be it from me to [ __ ] say that Neil Gaiman is pronouncing [ __ ] wrong yeah I'm I mean well maybe that's the problem right no one's got the balls to tell him I'll tell him yeah luk could tell him yeah it's like you know no one says no to George Lucas and then we end up with the [ __ ] Star Wars films no one says no to nework game and we end up with migraine anyway made me laugh I paused it and went back and watched that little bit again just to make sure migraine did he maybe it was just he he just
misspoke cuz no one can think it's MRA yeah you reckon he's kicking himself now going [ __ ] did I just say me gra what an idiot yeah and it's like that Benedict Cumberbatch thing with the the Penguins where no one no one said anything and then it got on TV do you know about that where he pronounced I think I know that one they did a Benedict Cumberbatch narrated a documentary about penguins and kept pronouncing penguin wrong I think he was saying penguin or penguin or something so it wasn't just a slip of the tongue at a certain point he didn't know how to say [Music] penguin is Penguins crusted Penguins parent penguin heading home so why are these woodlands so attractive to penguins and because it doesn't come up that often and then he did this whole
documentary and then it got on TV and then it became a thing and then he was like the [ __ ] no one said anything hours and hours of [ __ ] like voice over no one said anything because there were two they were like it's benedi kbash I'm not going to tell him you tell him yeah but surely at some point he was like a kid and he was like I want to go to Antarctica to see the Penguins and the teacher was like it's Penguins it's pronounced Penguins no never happened so yeah that's what happens when you get too famous Y no one wants to say anything you need to tell people no let them know when they're wrong I did watch something this week and it was good it was very good I watched afterlife the new riie ja show oh I was wondering whether that was good
or whether it wasn't no no it is it's good it's I I think it's um it's very uh very Ricky ja like it's got a it's got a message and it will it's going to drive that message home it's about a guy who um his wife dies of cancer and he just decides he doesn't want to live anymore but then he realizes if he doesn't care he can just be a [ __ ] [ __ ] to everybody and uh with no consequences because if it gets too bad he'll just kill himself so oh it sounds it's a comedy is it yes it is well it's a Ricky ja comedy where it's funny but it's also like you know it's about him finding out finding trying to find a reason to live or or having a reason to live forced upon him in in a way and learning that you know
yeah it's good it's good it's funny you know it's Ricky ja being an [ __ ] to people he's made a show where he gets to do that because that's his that's a thing he's good at and then it's also got a nice kind of uh like a bunch of nice lessons it's good characters it's just really good yeah okay in a little little town little town in England works for the local paper and uh he goes around and and uh interviews people with like weird uh you know for the front page of the local paper you know like you've got a carrot that looks like a dick kind of thing and then so he goes around and interviews him it's good I recommend it it's on Netflix I'll give it a go for sure only six episodes British show so you watch it in like what the whole thing in like 3 hours
actually probably two and a half y exactly I yeah it's got some good jokes in it I like Ricky J that's on Netflix right yes I watched something on Netflix this week at your recommendation I watched abducted in plain sight God [ __ ] terrifying yeah yeah it's uh it's it's it's intense yeah yeah yeah like [ __ ] yeah Luke maybe have you seen it Luke I don't know it's a oneoff it's just it's just one episode True Crime um yeah but it's a episode it is and it's like man yeah but it's it's unbelievable like it it's the [ __ ] yeah yeah like what I was just yelling at the TV the whole time there
about a pedophile who uh befriends of family to get to the daughter basically that's the short version of and doesn't doesn't pretend he's not a pedophile no and they don't care so much more to it than that yeah so much and I'm just like what are you doing and then when I'm like wait why are you jerking him off yes that was the bit where I was like what yeah what at one point the dad jerks him off and it's like at Point didn't you start to think wait a minute it's after he [ __ ] his wife the guy [ __ ] his wife and then the dad was like confronting him about and he's like I just have I'm just a sick person I'm sick I just oh maybe maybe I'll feel better if you jerk me off and the dad's like maybe it'll help yeah he's like well if it's either me jerking you off
or you [ __ ] my wife I guess I'm jerking you off then guess I'll do it yeah my God it's I I just yeah that I feel like I don't want to I'm not I don't mean to I'm not victim just guys come on come on what are you doing and then yeah the he he convinces this little girl that she's uh they've been abducted by aliens and that when the time comes he and her will have to uh to rebuild the human race and so they have to yeah have to do stuff and it's it's awful yeah it's really disturbing he has a tape recorder that he records himself as the alien doing a silly voice and he puts it in a room and it's [ __ ] disturbing yeah yeah yeah and and we've not even that's that's not all of it so some spoilers there but that's not
all of it so just watch it yeah cuz uh speaking of spoilers uh the Russo Brothers have come out this week and said uh don't get too excited about the end game trailer most of that shit's fake yeah they've been doing this and uh they've done it before there's yeah in all of the trailers and in fact all the Disney movies all sorry all the Marvel movies the trailers have always got stuff in it that's not real like it's not actually in the film and that's not necessarily unusual sometimes they do trailers quite a bit before the films are finished I mean we we commented quite a lot on the Rogue one trailer that had a lot of shots of did some of the greatest shots that you saw in a trailer nothing to do with a movie just teasy stuff but this is this is to
intentionally um to not spoil things they've done it on purpose cuz a lot of people said The Avengers well the new one there's a there's a shot where they're all walking through that like the hanger at The Avengers you know base and Tony and nebula are there and everyone was like ah spoiler like they're back on Earth but that's the thing a TR spoiler no but that's that's the whole point is it's not because you know what real or not people get upset about spoilers but then when the new trailer comes out they're all rushing to go and watch it and I'm but that's a spoiler cuz I feel like the most egregious one was the Spider-Man homecoming trailer that just told you the whole [ __ ] movie remember that yeah yeah but like you most movies you
know what's going to happen anyway some degree apparently like an example I read was that in the um the infinity War trailer there's a shot of them fighting in wakanda at the end and Hulk is there but that doesn't happen yeah in no that's right so that was that was that that was a fake out and then also in um Thor Ragnarok when the trailers for that came out uh those scenes from later in the movie Thor has both his eyes in the trailer but in the they had to digitally add his eye like add the remove the eye he didn't have the patch yet did he he just had an eye missing and they F they put it back in for the trailer speaking of [ __ ] missing eyes can we please talk about Nick Fury and how he lost his eye okay yes sure there was things oh yeah that's right Captain Marvel
spoilers Captain Marvel spoilers two weeks it's been exactly two weeks I'm just warning people I know but it doesn't mean we shouldn't warn them no no no no no all right now we're good go on uh things I liked about it things I didn't like uh but one of the things I definitely didn't like was how they handled the [ __ ] Nick Fury eye thing it was just it was just such a nonevent it was so anticlimactic and also it's like does he feel no pain the man lost a [ __ ] a no he didn't lose it yet no no no scratched then why did they no but they brought him in glass eyes to choose oh that was later yeah no but that's what I mean the [ __ ] eyes gone mate yeah yeah actually that's a good point it wasn't that much later was it no it was like oh scratch don't even
notice oh by the way here's some fake eyes sorry the [ __ ] eye is gone yeah he came to terms with it pretty quickly yeah there was a fake out with it too cuz he hits his head in the I think it's he in the car accident ear you can only fake out something if the thing you do is better than the fake out thing yeah cuz Coulson says to him how's your eye and he's like it's fine yeah and they just that was great and I thought they were going to just not say anything about it and just still leave it up to your imagination it happened at a later date but they're like no no no it happen it would have been better it was just lame but I still think he looks stupid throughout that entire movie I didn't notice no I didn't notice either I thought it was okay I thought it was F I
think it's really just me but it just annoyed me every time he was on screen you have an eye for these things maybe maybe I do get it an eye I didn't think I paid enough attention to things my one nitpicky thing with the film was that um some of the '90s music M was a little jarring and then this the just a girl was just too much like yeah that was the one thing that made me go yeah I agree but when I was going GH the people in the cinema cheered so yeah fair enough fair enough and I I know why they picked that song and I completely understand I just was like oh goodness like didn't it didn't it's not about liking the song it's it's just that it was so on the nose and like also didn't fit they were in a spaceship like it just it was just
weird I still just feel that the humor was just forced into that movie yeah I agree I don't think it needed it H yeah like there's some bits that were funny but a lot of it just felt like all right we we it's been a while since we had a joke in let's work out something yeah I tend to agree plus I I I think somebody said to the director hey uh the last two really funny ones were the most popular so uh make funny yeah and it tends to be the ones that are sort of related to space they're sort of the funny ones so this one's got a bit of space in it so yeah it needs to be funny aliens are funny the aliens were funny oh we didn't get to you wen't here last week Dan with the the James gun discussion he's back I know [ __ ] He's back we don't have to
beat that dead horse again cuz no list are sick of us talking that's it for James gun news and apparently Disney never looked for someone else so they were either always planning to hire him back or they weren't actually going to do the film or they just hadn't thought it through one of those yeah I'm going to go with option three very possible they made the decision very quickly M mhm yeah that was silly while we're talking about movies can I quickly just rattle off a couple of uh horror movies I saw this week that is worth noting um yeah so the first one and uh arguably the best I saw us which is the new uh oh I'm going to see I want to see that this week to see it it's good what's us Jordan Peele Jordan peele's new Jordan Peele is erupting
onto the scene as the master of suspense you know he's he he did uh the [ __ ] was the name of his first movie get out get out yeah he did get get out then us and now he's he's helming the remake of The Twilight Zone uh which I'm [ __ ] psyched for uh he's good he's original this is not a perfect movie there's a couple of things that I thought me but uh what movie doesn't have that you know overall this is just very very strong storytelling in the horror genre very good [ __ ] guy just Jordan Peele from C Peele he's [ __ ] like it's good like smart horror yeah yeah well you know well they were always smart comedians so yeah I guess it makes sense that show is [ __ ] hilarious like smart it is it's on point
it's on point yeah so that's us I won't say anything about it because anything I say will be a spoiler uh not that it's twisty or anything but just just go and watch it just go and watch it and be unsettled by it we'll do I plan to yeah so the other movie I watched was over Lord which is the JJ ABS produced uh zombies in World War II I've seen it uh what you think I liked it yeah I like yeah like didn't blow my mind but it was good yeah coule couple of the casting decisions actually made me a bit odd that that one character that you supposed to think's like the big tough guy oh yeah I I thought I thought he he was an odd choice that actor just didn't really have the Charisma to pull that off the guy from Umbrella Academy is that you mean did you
Academy no no I haven't seen the New York guy you know the guy [ __ ] kick your [ __ ] asses yeah yeah I'll give you white four yeah but overall yeah good um slightly new take well not necessarily new but you know slightly uh slightly unique take on the on the zombie genre yeah that was good yeah n Nazis yeah I love world two films I love zombie movies to a point uh and this was both it was good yeah now the Third movie I watched this week odd to call it a horror movie but I'm going to bring it up anyway it's called The Virgin Spring have you heard of this Matt you may have heard this mentioned I have heard of it yes I think okay to to jog your memory and I'm sure this will um you've seen a little 7s exploitation horror movie called Last House on the
Left I assume yes yes made by um West Craven that's right uh about um about a two girls who were brutally raped and murdered and then the uh the rapists go and hide out at their house and their parents figure out that uh that they're the rapists and exact bloody Revenge um so I'm actually working my way through the films of um inar Bergman right now cated curated my own little little uh little Film Festival that I'm going through um do you give Awards yeah yeah must my invite must still be in the post I guess yeah yeah I guess so yeah okay well we'll leave that there but last house on the left is a remake of a of a 1950s era Swedish movie by inmar
Bergman called um the Virgin Springs which is exact same exact same story there you go okay except it's medieval setting oh huh yeah yeah and it's got um what's that old man who's like in every he's in he's the king who gives Anie the money in the start of Conan and he's also in the force awakens um you know who I mean yeah I do of course I do [ __ ] it's going to bug me I know I can't I'm drawing a blank but you know what I mean anyway it stars him he's the dad um and uh yeah I mean there's it's it's arguably a deeper movie than Last House on the Left you know it's it's the exact same plot but with a lot of uh a lot of subtext in there mostly religious subtext and how there this super prous family that are kind of coming to terms
with this kind of evil that's brought into their life you know that was never part of uh Wes Craven's uh brutal [ __ ] but uh yeah it was interesting to watch interesting I I'd be interested to watch that actually yeah yeah I think you would find it interesting Max von Sida Max von sidow yeah I was just about to say of my head yeah just watch it his performance is great um Bergman makes films that are [ __ ] poetically uh disturbing and uh it's just a great movie but also if you've seen Last House on the Left and give it a watch for um crazy weird Nostalgia I like just before we go I did want to briefly talk about because I feel like uh I feel like we should address this Google [ __ ] stadia got announced this
week yeah yeah I'm sure everyone's expecting us to talk about it but we don't know a huge amount about it really no there's not much to I know is I won't get to play it for about 10 years oh in Australia yeah yeah so Google's announced stadia which is a game streaming service actually we talked about this a bit recently I guess everybody's doing this now try try Microsoft Microsoft announced theirs recently the project xam or something well they said after Google announced this they said oh we're going to bring it at E3 so all right guess we'll see well there all the only ones going to E3 so it's going to be really easy for them they're GNA have to bring something it's going to be boring um yeah so the game runs on a server and
it streams the video to your device you can play games on anything with a Chrome browser apparently and they're they're leveraging whatever Technologies they've come up with and it's Google so they've got the money and the the resources if anyone can do it You' think they'd be able to figure it out so it's going to launch in USA Canada and UK most of Europe this year yeah I'll [ __ ] try it let's see did you see the control contrer yeah the controller looks interesting the controller I I don't know why they're going for what I sort of look at as a PlayStation design yeah which I hate cuz it's got the two sticks at the same level right right yeah whereas I prefer the Xbox where you've got like the left ones up and the d-pads down yeah cuz you want to your right
hand's usually on the buttons not on the stick my right hand's usually on my dick so I'm I'm per' been hanging out you've been hanging out with those Ewoks again yeah that's right one thing I thought was interesting is cuz you know one of the problems with with this kind of tech is that you've got it's not just like Netflix where you got to display the video you've also got to take input from a controller and then it's got to feel responsive because when you put a movie on there can be a delay that you won't notice because as soon as it starts as long as it continues you don't give a [ __ ] like whereas if you're playing a game it needs to be very responsive and a couple of milliseconds of lag can oh it can make a huge difference yeah the controller connects to your Wi-Fi
network and connects the controller connects directly to Google it doesn't connect to the device that you're using it's it's like the the controller is on the internet and it connects directly to Google I thought that's really interesting I hadn't really thought about it but I mean that that makes sense like so it's like you don't you don't syn the controller to say if you're playing on on a on a phone you don't link the controller to your phone it's pretty cool which when you think about does make sense oh yeah absolutely I just I just never it never occurred to me that they would have to do that but yeah obviously and that might that might be a way of solving that problem I don't know yes because instead of it having to go through a device and then go connect
it's just the controller's connecting straight to Google and doing it that way so you don't have it sync to your computer which has then got to send the signal it just sends it straight there which yeah that can help but yeah I just yeah I I don't know I'll probably get to use it when I travel but yeah I'm not going to get to be I won't be playing it in Australia anytime soon yeah but I I even think you would probably struggle with your internet if you didn't up your plan yeah well we'll see I might give it a shot well see the thing is if I if if if they can do it like uh you know like a Netflix for games it might be worth upgrading my internet to have that and then I'd have to buy because I wouldn't be buying you know pay as much on games you don't like Netflix for games though
what do you mean well there's already Game Pass and yeah but that's game well it is pretty much is there 100 plus games that you can go and play and Netflix takes movies off yeah but not while I'm in the middle of watching them they can the games games are different in that sense yeah you're right if if if it was like oh this game's available for just a month that wouldn't interest me cuz it's going to taking me longer than that to play a game anyway this is interesting and then the fact that Doom Eternal is one of the first games coming on it means they must be confident cuz you can't play that [ __ ] game without with lag like if it doesn't work really well no a doom game it is a very fastpac game and they're even talking about 8K yeah well they're saying Doom Eternal
will launch 4K HDR [ __ ] 60 frames a second like all right that's fine let's show me I'll believe it when I see it cuz [ __ ] hell that's amazing I don't like the name that's a stupid name stadia is that like that's the the plural of stadium right oh is it yeah I guess so that makes sense then all right but I know Google are the ones that could probably make this happen but also Google fail at a lot of stuff they try as well well that's they just throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks yeah but yes there is a long list of failed Google properties they do have their own Johnny I now though and if you've watched the videos a BAL British man talking about the
future so that's good maybe that'll work out for him worked for apple look before we go um shout out to a former co-host of this podcast whose mom just posted a um Pauline Hansen article in favor of her policies so just leave that out there and I'll see you guys in the Afterparty oh no that's all for this week thank you for listening and we hope you enjoyed the show if you enjoyed it then please subscribe and iTunes to receive episodes automatically we'll see you next time
