they've got to PO L perhaps you can explain to me why people need more toilet paper during anep mic than they would otherwise cuz they're idiots my guess literally scared shitless I saw people fighting on Twitter there was a video of people fighting over toilet paper someone got tased the we're just gotten into a cycle where people are going in and seeing that there's no toilet paper on the shelves so then they racing and then when it is there they buy like four or five bags of it cuz they're scared it's not going to be there and it's all like like toilet paper is made in Australia it's not like we're importing it and it's not going to be imported we make it in Australia the manufacturers come out and went there's there's no risk of it's running out like

it's fine apparently there is mate cuz you're running out yeah yeah well I mean that's thing right where is it then if there's so much of it well cuz the issue is is people are buying like 10 times as much as they actually need I'm going to have to ration that soon willly is just going to be like you going to use all of this it's it's it's it's stupid and I'm actually starting to worry because I'm down to one roll see you so you actually do I need to buy some yeah and I just want to go in and buy one bag of toilet paper and go I'm good but yeah I just don't like people are buying months worth of toilet paper toilet paper I mean I get what you I know I know what you use it for so obviously yeah you need it but like are they buying other stuff or is it just toilet paper you

going to eat the toilet paper it's toilet paper and pasta other big things oh right cuz it's like well I mean cause and effect man cause and effect yeah but honestly I don't that there's no risk of running out it's just yeah people I think it's just you know how we talk about Flat Earth how they get into that soundproof that vacuum chamber where they're just talking to themselves that Echo chamber it's the same more toil paper people go in they see there's not a lot of toilet paper so they grab as much as they can cuz but but how does that work I mean sometimes when you go into the supermarket you're like okay I need jam and there's like oh I'm taking the last one off the shelf I don't go like [ __ ] this is the last Jam I bet a [ __ ]

stockpile Jam like people are idiots no I told you hear whenever there's like snow on the weather report because of some blizzard that happened in like the 7s everyone [ __ ] freaks out and buys all the bread and milk and you can go to the you go there's like not AA of bread and it's like milk the [ __ ] going to just eat milk like also also if if it's a blizard and the power goes out I mean you can put the milk outside in the snow I guess but if you if you the bread's just going to go what you going to do with the milk after you know after it goes off like it's a weird selection and the bread bread doesn't last that yeah I think it was just yeah back in the 70s there was something I so up on your bread milk and now everyone's like [ __ ] you know what

they're stockpiling here they're stockpiling surgical masks oh yeah like people are and uh I got into an argument at work the other day because a colleague of mine uh was saying that that his family of three people have bought 100 surgical masks and uh and I just I just lost it cuz I was like you know that medical professionals [ __ ] need those you don't right unless all of you have the Corona virus in which case yes wear them but surgical masks stop you from transmitting yeah but not receiving especially a [ __ ] virus that's not Airborne yes yeah it's weird cuz and it's also it is this like ethical thing like people are running out and stockpiling stuff leaving nothing for anyone else just so they can look after themselves but they're getting so much

that it's they don't they're getting more than they actually need totally well that's that's prepper like the the prepper mentality could I don't know I think I think there's a little aspect of it like it's kind of cool as well like prepping for a disaster there's like a little bit of a come over look at my toilet paper a little bit of excitement involved as well you know like it's it's like the grown up of quilin having a cubby house yeah that's right it's like under my stairs you come a whole bunch of toilet paper and stuff take my TP Over My Dead [Laughter] Body but plumbers are actually looking to start making a bit of money as well because when all the toilet paper's gone people are now getting like baby wipes and stuff and plumbers coming out going

do not flush them they are not flushable even the ones that say they're flushable flush them go on do it yeah cuz they clog up your dream like nothing else and that's what's going to start happening so plumbers are laughing they're going to make a bit of money so speaking of flat earthers Luke I I feel you've talked about Mad Mike Hughes before we have discussed him on this podcast last year sent by a number so give us a little bit of back story yeah so Luke take us through who Mad Mike is Mad Mike is a flat earther but he's not one of the ones that just goes and posts on comments and misunderstands science and changes suit's facts he's actually someone trying to prove it which I actually quite like was m so he is he

he's F he's gone up in a rocket in the past and had a bit of a crash landing this time he went up again got the 5,000 ft but there was a slight problem where the parachute um ejected went off as he was taking off at launch which means that everyone watching that was not going to land and then on the way down there's no parachute for him anymore and he sadly passed away that that is a shame have you seen the video you guys watch the video of this no no okay so there's a video that shows yeah exactly this just clicking on it now and yeah the he goes hang on the parachute there he goes away and there's the parachute oh [ __ ] it's it's gone wait for it it comes

down fast than that it's meant to holy [ __ ] oh my God oh I wonder if he knew I mean obviously at some point he knew but did he know what takeoff that his parachute had I imagine it's pretty intense being in that thing so maybe not yeah I hope he I hope he didn't know a thing I'm hoping he got to look out the window and finally get understand oh that's the last thing he the last words or damn it or he gets up there they were right uh and it's flat [ __ ] he's screaming in his lungs it's a frisbe proved it FR what the it's flat and it's coming at me very fast mhm but what that's the one thing I do like that he wasn't one yeah he was

trying to prove it to find out for himself find out for himself so what was he expecting to see at 500 ft 500 5000t 5,000 ft um that there was no curve is 5,000 ft enough literally see see it right nowal Earth you look at the Horizon go boat go and watch your boat hor and where where did it go that's just that's um that's just I can't think of the words they use perspective right I think it's the word they use I mean that's correct your eyes just can't see that far that's why it's there okay I can see stars mate I can see stars damn these eyes damn these eyes no ST Stars aren't real either space isn't real so uh Luke would you say that Mad Mike is geek of the week this is a really tough one and I've

lip ice tea he makes now that youve become a semi-professional actor Luke I think James Lipton is somebody you should be very interested in I think it's sad sad you'll never get interviewed by him to be honest I know James lipon hosts or hosted a little show called inside the actor Studio where he would interview uh famous actors on their method very famous oh I just looked him up I know this guy this guy was awesome yeah you don't have a method Luke we've discussed this but you know you could you could have told him all about how you don't have a method yep uh just get up there and just go with it yeah yep but he's just one of these guys who just he's just sort of been in everything over the years he takes the piss out of

everything in and I bought the DLC because I wanted to do more and the DLC was just multiplayer stuff and I was like [ __ ] cuz that's not what I wanted I mean I still I played the multiplayer it was fun but God I don't know what it's just so good and then the new one is just more of it really and it's coming out what 20 days or something 20th I uh Doom Eternal I think it comes out like this week oh wow release think it comes out oh no 20 you're right you're right something else comes out this week I forget what but yeah well tell you what's not coming out this week [ __ ] James Bond oh yeah that's right no on a want a Corona virus are they postponing it m are they postponing it because they

don't want people Gathering Together are they postponing it because it's got something to do with the virus no people just go to the movies less and they they don't want a week opening weekend yeah ah yeah they're canceling all sorts of [ __ ] over here I was going to go see it they're canceling [ __ ] everywhere I mean I'll go I'll go see it just I guess not this week we got to wait till November I think they postp it to November yeah man [ __ ] me that's like man we are days away from the Olympics being cancelled oh I know yeah that's crazy well they canceled uh they canceled South by Southwest uh and yep they just said that uh cuz the City of Austin canel it not the organizers yeah they declared a state of emergency right

yeah which means apparently the South by Southwest the the company uh that their insurance doesn't cover that so that's very bad they just said yeah we don't uh have insurance so so that could actually just mean that's the end of it then yeah don't know I guess I'll have to evaluate what exactly the [ __ ] this means for them financially not good also not good for the City of Austin because it would have brought in quite a lot of money so and I think GDC was cancelled E3 I think is any day now they'll be pulling the pin on that gdc's been moved to Summer uh so it's still on and also uh Emerald City ComicCon got canceled or postponed I think postponed but people are complaining because that was that was supposed to be like I think this week

and everybody's got hotels and flights and [ __ ] booked and so they're like I Emerald City is not a real place it's a nickname from The Wizard of Oz Emerald see uh Seattle oh I guess they call Seattle the Emerald City I don't know sure but but uh yeah people are pretty pissed cuz they're like oh cool you you postponed it you're going to reimburse me for my hotel and and everything otherwise who the [ __ ] going to go if people are out a lot of money so I don't know this is pretty [ __ ] pretty crazy um southb Southwest GDC yeah E3 potentially crazy but luckily no not packs more the highlights we got in early uh the highlights uh I enjoyed doing that

technically wasn't that packs uh the [ __ ] Acquisitions incorporated game was fantastic Mike [ __ ] nailed it so normally I don't know if you guys watch these uh we go to them every time just because we like d and and they're funny normally Jeremy Crawford who who's like the lead rules designer for Dungeons and Dragons runs them but he couldn't make it this time so Mike From Penny Arcade did it and it was the Mandalorian basically but with baby Jim dark magic who people aren't going to know what the [ __ ] I mean just Google baby Jim dark magic and you'll see the t-shirt that I ordered um but he hid the whole thing from from like I don't know listeners who don't know what anything about Penny iade W know what the [ __ ] I'm talking

about but he somehow managed to hide this whole thing from Jerry Who's his business partner and then like it was just all revealed on stage including the fact that he had t-shirts already made ready to go and cuz he said why would you invent a cute character that everyone's going to love and not have merchandise ready to go unlike Disney so that was [ __ ] awesome see any new games I saw what did we see oh they had a giant uh this is not a game but they had a big uh Mythic Quest Raven that we got to sit on uh that's great yeah uh the Behemoth has a new alien homonid game coming out which was fun uh very difficult as their games are um that was very fun uh there's a game called um clang 2 that's

coming out it's like a rhythm based platformer kind of thing I didn't get to play a lot of it but he sent me a beta key so I'll have more to say about it in the future you kind of have to see it so maybe just Google it and and you'll see what I mean it's kind of like it's a rhythm game uh but it's it's very hypnotic uh and and like it's got really great intense visuals and it's kind of like a platformer it's hard to explain but it's called clang to check that out uh we got uh we got to play on the armed and gelatinous arcade machine they've got uh arcade Machines of that going in around the country H and they had one actually think the first one they made they had that at packs play on that game is [ __ ] fun so that was fun they had like a uh like a tournament going on on

that all weekend gearbox panel yeah that's all that's always a good one to go to did you see the new [ __ ] DLC for for Borderlands 3 oh my God and what's great about this Borderlands now cuz I know with Borderlands 2 you and Jenna were trying to play to get up to a tiny team DLC but actually have to play and level up but they've changed that now that you can just go into any area so you don't have to wait anymore cuz it just I like that I like that they've got it set up for like seasonal content and things um like it's like got some kind of MMO features almost but like it's not an MMO you know what I'm saying like when it's you know like they had the

Halloween thing that just pops in like I don't know it's just I think it's it's cool y did you get a chance to see any of the Final Fantasy 7 remake I I saw it was there and they had a big you know Cloud's bike and all that kind of stuff but no I didn't I'm not cuz it it's looking amazing now and also something came remember in the original how there's that part where you dress up as a girl yes they're keeping that in it yeah okay I remember we talked about that a little bit and they showed that yeah yes really there's a picture of it now where yeah you got Cloud dressed up as a female to go and take down the pimp yeah that's the the sequence that when when we described it it got D vaguely

interested in the game vaguely yeah vaguely I probably won't play it but I'll definitely want Luke to describe it to me I can do that for you but evidently cuz they've come out and said like the cuz the first part of the game just going be midgar yeah now in the original game that's not actually that's quite a small part of the game it's not until you get out into the world that it really opens up so but they're actually evidently they're adding a lot more to it right so it's not going to it's not going to be it's not just a straight remake of what's there just with pretty Graphics it's a that adding a lot of new content cuz I thought it was a bit cheeky that they were like oh we're remaking it and then oh we split it up into bits and you have to pay for them

all I was like [ __ ] off it's already I already played the game like [ __ ] I thought that was cheeky but if they're expanding well that's still cheeky what the [ __ ] man like it's just a way toy to not do the whole thing before they release it but I think it's also because we don't this way we're not going to have to wait 15 years for it as well yeah okay that's fair and also as long as they make it like a full game the parts that they're sending out I'm okay with it I guess because it's it's just odd it is strange they will get my money though well they won't get mine cuz I don't I don't care enough about it but I just have to wait for it to eventually come out on Xbox well yeah there's that I didn't get to see the Xbox series X so

that's a shame didn't have any of that I'm excited about it but I'm hoping they'll announce the pre-orders for that soon cuz I need to give Microsoft more money I know they're struggling a little bit Yeah so I need to give them more money to help him out don't think if they had any other aleaa stuff that I played I don't know that I did see when I get a packs in austral I tend to stay away from the AAA stuff yeah a lot of the time you can see you can already see that online I like to look at a lot of the Indie stuff yeah and I go to a lot of the panels that's mostly what I like about packs H so I don't I don't like lining up for things no no I I'm not a fan of that either and that's I know that's a big

thing at a lot of conventions is you line up yeah oh we saw the um the music of super giant concert which is [ __ ] amazing I've decided I'm going next year to PA East man you got a lot on next to you yeah I do giv Disney money giv Boston money uhhuh I don't know who else probably a lot of other people but no I'm I'm I'm I'm decided I want to go cuz I've been once yeah and that was about six seven years ago now 2013 so I think it's time to go back mhm seven packs as packs as East since then that's [Music] weird doesn't seem that long ago but it really is a lot's Chang yeah we're all going to die for Corona virus so yeah might as well get over the packs

before well yep yep oh he's something um I don't know if they had this there but remember how Matt how we kickstarted a game many years ago little game called Evil Dead 2 oh yeah yeah yeah well I'm going to get my copy in the next month same so I still think that the person who ran the old Kickstarter should come out say sorry but he's not going to say sorry he a prick no but I'm also still pissed off that I didn't get my dice I got mine and I don't know why so for listeners who don't know there was an Evil Dead 2 board game uh that got kickstarted and it it raised like millions of dollars everybody wanted this game I'm raised a fortune that and the Terminator two

board game but then the company space goat who uh who were making them they ran like three or four kick kickstarters all at the same time and then went bankrupt so nobody well and produced not nothing cuz like I said I bought the deluxe pack like you did uh which was supposed to come with wooden dice made from the cabin from Evil Dead 2 and I've yeah I have those and it wasn't like they were cheap they were like an extra $100 so I have those and they've got a little certificate that says these are made of the cabin from Evil Dead 2 uh which I've I've since had some doubt raised as to whether that's true or not cuz I mean you could just print a piece of paper that's easy exactly I mean they are wood they weren't even nice enough to do that for me so I don't

know why I got maybe because I'm in the US I got them I don't know that's it or no one internationally got their dice what I'd like to know they ended up selling them is why Evil Dead 2 specifically I think maybe the rights are different for that yeah like um I think it's I I'm not 100% on this but I think because of the you know they have comics and they have other spin-offs I think Army of Darkness is a is one license and then maybe the other two evil Deads are different licenses I'm not sure but it is very specifically Evil Dead 2 it's it's odd because I mean Evil Dead 2 is kind of almost a remake of Evil Dead one yeah uh

13 bucks seems reasonable oh to Australia I get you yeah like yeah like that's really reasonable look I think this this game looks pretty good I I'd be Keen to play it at either of your houses so you know let me know once they arrive yeah I will I'm hoping they do the same for Terminator 2 as well cuz I backed both of them oh did you yeah I gave I gave I gave space goat a lot of money like I was the deluxe ball game with the dice every single expansion Terminator 2 with all the expansions like I gave them probably $800 or something and got [ __ ] me nothing I gave him like I think probably 300 bucks for that initial Kickstarter just I understand that stuff goes wrong

yeah like un said I just don't like the fact that they still hav he they haven't comeing onone look we screwed up sorry well that was my number one Kickstarter failure my second uh is a video game that has gone silent and I don't know what's happening with it that I am supposed to be in uh so we'll see if that happens yeah I was actually going through a lot of my old uh things of kick started having a look and there's a few things that I yeah a game on a roll which is this uh roll rollerblading game yeah that that went silent a couple of years ago Oh no just like the rollerblading craze yep I thought it was could be fun but that's the thing it is it is you take a risk when doing it yeah no guarantee that's something else people

don't they tend to they get annoyed but it's like well you're investing almost it's not yeah you're not buying something and and also like when um did our Kickstarter and uh did not charge enough for the reward tiers and and then we had no money to actually uh produce the video but we did it anyway cuz yes cuz we said we were going to and we did where wa we don't back down no we said we were going to do it we did it we don't waste your money and then not give you what you paid for we just ate pizza instead of a a fine Meal m Cav yeah ofagra uh you know you know what else uh delivered but uh but just not in the way

it was hoping is Birds of Prey so Luke are you still the only one who's seen this I I think I might be this has ended its theatrical run as DC's lowest box office film interesting I find weird I cuz I I this is better than than the other movies in the universe yeah I mean don't get me wrong I've got no interest in seeing this but it certainly does look better than some of the ones I have already seen I'll probably watch this at some point I just yeah I'm not super I think that's problem is that nobody was like after suicide squad nobody was thinking oh this is going to be really good yeah and it's not even I think people are confused now with the whole Joker thing and the new Batman

that's coming out a new Suicide Squad coming yes mhm which isn't Suicide Squad 2 it's the suicide squad and is MGA Robbie in that I'm not sure she might be I think so I don't know yeah that's the problem you can't you can't do a remake of a film that had a sequel and use the same actress as both of them but say it's a different movie in a different Universe well maybe you can DC are literally just trying anything now yes she is back in it all right as Harley as Harley yes um I don't think Jared Le's coming back be surprised unless unless James gun is gonna troll us something chronic he might yeah it's a shot for

shot remake of Joker except it's Jared Leto instead of w Phoenix he's the worst joke yeah he he really was I don't think he understood the character at all yeah I've uh I've seen some opinions on Just Jared letto in general online that are not flattering I always thought he was all right but then I guess I've never seen him do anything particularly complicated you know like he's he's handsome and uh he's fine I guess but wasn't he doing like crazy things on set like send act like he's a he's a black rat and here are some condom that's just silly wow yep you're you're really out there Jared thanks um somebody else was supposed to play um his character in Blade Runner

2049 actually going to try and watch that tomorrow blade r49 is [ __ ] excellent we going to watch it tomorrow actually I'm going to watch the original first oh you should yeah one of my favorite movies [ __ ] David Bowie was supposed to play Wallace oh that would have been interesting would have been would have been better I think so Jared Leto is your poor man's David Bowie yeah maybe he's David Bowie's understudy I guess so and uh apparently also James gun was hoping he'd be in Guardians too but uh he died not let Bowie but yeah no so I I kind of wish um and you know I think I learned that from I have the the art of Blade Runner 2049 I think there's

some concept art of Bowie as Wallace Bowie yeah that would have been great yeah right so I mean let us finding it but he's he is not doing anything special in that film really don't tell him that I don't dislike him I just yeah I I like David Bowie more I just found it weird remember when he was saying like on the thing where he just kept doing like giving him lots and lot so lines stuff yep y so I just kept giving them all these different things it's so like Jared just read the script read this L and we can move on I'm not going to edit in with anything else we've shot today okay please just

a part in it like it was there but like I feel like like Tim Burton's Batman that Batmobile was like interesting whereas I'd buy that and drive it around right this one this new one looks interesting I thought the tumbler was interesting I feel like a generic not generic I what about when it explodes into a bike don't [ __ ] don't don't you don't say that doesn't explode into a bike [ __ ] ridiculous I couldn't resist oh man I just hope that someday somehow DC lets us do a Batman movie and I'm going to make a scene where literally the Batmobile exp and the

parts of it fuses pieces yeah the pieces like get caught up in some kind of gravitational p and then just fuse into a [ __ ] bike that Batman then rides that's not what happens can't believe we have to have that conversation conversation yeah that's a nice way of saying it listen if you want to hear that I think there's AEP remember the time volumes one through whatever there's an old very old uh and also if you can get through it kudos to you because the sound quality back then was [ __ ] atrocious but there's an old episode of the show yeah why did we not do something about that cuz we didn't know any better at the time we've been doing this for almost 10 years yeah

kind of settled into this that's true this pardon me settled into this way of doing it where um well we can not going to reveal the secrets here no you got to pay for them yeah you click on the affiliate link patreon.com multipl nerdgasm and maybe you can learn how to make we can make an episode of this show I saw an interesting article it was like a interview with uh Simon Peg talking about Star Trek and um I'm familiar with it and just the fact that uh JJ Abrams Star Trek was too popular and it kind of ruined Star Trek in a way because they used to make Star Trek movies on a small budget cuz they had a fairly small box office and it all kind of worked out but then JJ Abrams came along made this

incredibly popular Star Trek movie that had a larger budget brought in a much larger box office and then people just stopped going again after that so so Star Trek probably is not not going to get a whole lot more Star Trek movies at this point just because JJ Abrams ruined it for everybody I mean that he kind of did he he paked very strong oh yeah I was a big fan of of his Star Trek yeah less of a fan of the next one did bother seeing the next one well anybody else and that's the problem yeah but it's my fault I prefer the television shows than the movies yeah well Star Trek is more of a Star Trek is television it's a TV show thing like I'm not that's not to say I mean some of the movies are very good I really enjoy like rra of Khan's [ __ ] excellent but some

of them are not so a lot of the Next Generation ones I feel won't they're not Blockbuster films it's more TV you know I think what we got with the JJ Abrams one though is it it changed the direction of the television shows and I think they're yeah they're not they're a bit more serious now and I'm quite liking like Discovery and peard is just amazing oh yeah I haven't seen peard oh you got to watch it it is great yeah should watch that I remember remember that I think the onion did that those rev fake reviews of people coming out of the Star Trek movie and all the Nerds were like oh this is the worst Star Trek movie ever made it was a fun familyfriendly romp with lots of action and adventure and excitement and I hated it yeah yeah I could understand

everything way too fun for a Star Trek film so that's a shame I think Peg's probably a bit dirty too cuz he wrote the third one and that's the one nobody saw so a did he see now maybe I want to watch it he was all right yeah it was all right it wasn't bad you should watch it I still enjoy it you know how number two they were like he's not KH he's not oh yeah okay he's yeah that that was silly um and then remember the last James Bond movie about Spector and everyone was like he's blofeld he's like I'm not blofeld I'm not blow yeah he's blow blow does anyone get the feeling that no time to die is going to be about Dr No Dr No I hope

not but uh I hope not too but yeah I do but I I suspect Perhaps it is I feel like they should stop doing that same same nobody liked it and stop joining all the plots together yeah yeah yeah I just want to go watch a movie and leave oh spect oh that guy from the second one who was just wanting to buy water in the desert he also works for Spectre no he [ __ ] doesn't yeah don't make it so that I've I have to have seen the other ones for it to make sense too that's frustrating you one things about you can watch it y I don't have to watch the other three movies to understand what's happen like oh diamonds are forever fine got it not fine it's a terrible movie

but you don't have to have any backstory all you need to know is that's James Bond yeah and he's probably going to sleep with that woman mhm and in the connory days probably slap her as well sometimes you just have to give her a little slap Mark Hamill was uh got on board the whole let's get Mark Hamill to be vesmir and The Witcher uh bet unfortunately I mean yeah and I'm I'm sad that is unfortunate he would have been great he would have been great like yeah that role's designed for him well no this uh this guy Kim bodia is uh yeah no look Kim bodia is a really great Danish actor he's he's in Nicholas wiing rein's first movie Pusher he's very good he's also a cop in um a TV show from

last year called the bridge which is about a body that gets found on the bridge between uh Hayden and Malmo Sweden heard very good show um so I'm I'm fine with him playing it it's just that as a consolation prize to Mark Hamill you know bit of a let down yeah well maybe they would oh I going to say maybe they're looking to cast a big name but then they've got [ __ ] Henry caval as geralt so that doesn't really hold is he really a big name yeah he yeah Superman he in [ __ ] mission possible he's all over everything I think he is isn't he uh maybe it's just me I don't see him as a big name not not impressed cuz I I haven't really seen him in anything I apart from The Witcher there's nothing

he's been in that I really liked yeah oh no I would agree with that yeah don't you worry about that I'm 100% that's not what we was saying I am with you on that but yeah I don't get to decide who's a big name or not I sure not always not always one day you will see when I make it to heaven would they tell me I was right well it'll be too late by then won't w't it yeah thought he was going to say want I make it the Hollywood and then he went dark well you finished it was that's called a call back get on a flight to La get a job at a restaurant and there you go you're an actor that's what you do yeah bam pilot season hey I on the People's Court that's true that's right yeah you've been in More film than a lot

of actors let's be honest it's true it's very true it's true so we're doing all right yeah um do you want to do you want some Star Wars news real quick I don't know that you do I don't know you want to know so impress this map the rise of Skywalker came out and did Disney have held off on releasing uh you know the novelization and they pulled that art book and I feel like there's a little whiff of uh trying to do some damage control about the whole thing ble this so now the novelization of Rise of Skywalker has come out and it's got a bunch of [ __ ] weird [ __ ] about how Palpatine survived and and just all that kind of

stuff in it oh Christ so apparently when he was thrown into the shaft in the death in the Death Star he uh he was like ah [ __ ] I've been betrayed and then he used the force to will his Consciousness into a clone body on uh exagol and that's how he survived that's a long way not my favorite explanation explanation um and then also he did not get it on in order to have children his like Ray's reading straight from noiz Ray's father he did not in fact [ __ ] he uh he

he cloned himself and Ray's father is one of the failed clones yeah oh yeah so I don't know I wish they just not released this [ __ ] book to be honest I cuz after watching the movie I was actually looking forward to actually reading the book cuz I actually wanted to understand a bit of how that all happened stuff listeners retroactively for Rise of Skywalker [ __ ] extreme spoil it's not even in the film but uh but it's okay I have pre-ordered the audio book okay and I'm going to give it a try who reads it who reads it uh [Laughter]

kick that into gear got to let me know when okay can uh but that's not the only Star Wars news ah or let's say it's not the only Star Wars rumor yeah there it's been leaked that there is possibly a new game coming out well EA has heard there are more games in the works but we might have a name for the next one now go on Project Maverick H so I'm thinking it's a cross between Star Wars and Top Gun yes well it also is just the name of the new Top Gun movie well that's what you wanted though isn't it Luke just a [ __ ] yeah X-Wing fighter pilot kind of thing yeah I think it would be a great game and a

television series all right oh and we got a little logo here oh yeah mhm with a death star destroyer and some x-wings that looks all right x-wings so this makes it look like it'll be set during the original TR era so yeah I'm I mean we're going to have to we're kind of trying to extrapolate a lot from just this [ __ ] that's all we've got we have no other information looks like Darth Vader is going to be in this uh I imagine this is probably the story of a small child who grows up in the Rebellion uh just based on this image uh that's what I'm thinking yep all so I think there's this one and I think there's still the rumor that we might be still getting n Old Republic remake mhm okay but a reboot at the same time okay cuz I don't think that's Cannon anymore so I think they're

going to adjust it to make it Cannon again I need to play some more I thought anything order need to place some more of that oh I looked at that the other day and didn't I've still got to go through and get just a couple more achievements in it to place some more I need to knock it down on to story mode like Luke said and just yes just experience it a bit I think he pretty and it's got some stuff that's cool in it it's just and honestly just just cuz that's how I played it cuz I didn't want I didn't want to play Dark Soul yeah I just I'm not where you're just punishing yourself I punish myself in other ways when I when I feel like it I don't on my terms not on uh EA's terms yeah so what I've been playing lately I've been

playing shenmu shenmo one and two cuz it's been on Game Pass forever but they're on PC but they're taking it off so I'm trying to get all the achievements before it goes away forever cuz I don't want to pay for it I've been playing cuz I already own it on the X Witcher three again still I've got that installed sitting there as well yeah been playing that uh it's cuz I never finished the blood and wine expansion which which is ridiculous cuz it's so good delicious uh [ __ ] what a great game which of three I had I had a day off this week so I jumped back into to uh con Far Cry 5 oh no [ __ ] Conan man I'm off and you know why you know why I'm [ __ ] off cuz you realize you're not doing anything Yes except so okay so

a few weeks ago when we were chatting on this podcast I was saying that I need to stop playing Conan because I'm just walking around doing nothing right so then I decided I'll set myself some tasks right so basically I want I set a level I wanted a level up I wanted to do certain um uh what do they call it in the game where you got to kind of tick off certain actions that you do climb this visit this place kill this thing and so I was like okay going to do it and then spent about a day doing a whole bunch of stuff mhm and then realized that my XP count is not going up huh and I don't know why but I'm [ __ ] yeah that is annoying did you like Max it out or something no I shouldn't be maxed out I'm level 60 I'm positive you can go higher than

that maybe you can maybe you've yeah you may have just hit the cap if you could you do play it a lot yeah that's true there you go I've never done that no [ __ ] that game I'm never playing it again in fact I'm going to I'm going to Del it yeah we got anything else before we want to jump into the AP Spielberg Indie he's out that's the news yes Spielberg's not going to direct Indie 5 is there a reason why why he just I retire or I've seen a script that looks terrible in uh in her films well you say that but if you found any cuz Luke and I looked no I know you

did I had to cut down the section of the show where you were looking you mean the listeners didn't want to hear just Luke and I just trying desperately but unsuccessfully to findy no I found pornography just thought if you do want want that I mean I guess we could just put an unedited version of it it's just a lot of typing uh and then some strange noises in the background I don't know what that was about but so this is going to be the first Indiana Jones film not directed by Steven Spielberg is he sort of accepting that he doesn't understand what's happening after fall this is I thought I knew what people like but I'm WR this is the kind of moment where it becomes clear that we are going to be getting Indiana Jones movies forever

now because the yeah that's right because that was a key component that now apparently doesn't matter Harrison Ford can say you know he is Indie as much as he wants but he can say that all he wants but someone's going to go nope I feel like some more money can you just go make another Indie for me now I'm actually very surprised Harrison's doing this if Steven's out yeah well waai to see we does I mean he did uh he did Force awakens so I mean there is a which that was a shock and awesome um I meant for I meant sorry I meant The Last Jedi that was a shock when he came back rise of Skywalker r skwalker that one I did I saw an interview about that did we talk about that I mean sorry changing the subject again but it's

still Harrison Ford news where they asked him why he decided to come back for for the last one and he said um JJ ABS called him up and convinced and just told him that he thought it was a very good idea and he said well he's usually right so that's why he did it and they're going to write me another check he's going to be producing Indie 5 he's not going to be directing it it's going to be directed by James Mangold is that right yeah now this guy's made a lot of [ __ ] movies this guy made Girl Interrupted walked the line he made Logan you know they're all perfectly fine movies maybe this is good maybe this is the best thing that maybe it could happen to Indiana Jones

given yeah it couldn't be worse yeah oh yep I hope not I [ __ ] hope not and uh do we know if Georgie Lucas is involved still probably right I'd say he'd have to be at some level I'll probably ask him and then just ignore what he I think he was on set quite a lot for Crystal Skull well he sort of came up with a fridge idea and stuff didn't he no well Spielberg said that that was his idea guys just reading down this article in variety George Lucas co-creator Indiana Jones with Spielberg has retired and is not expected to officially be involved with Indie five okay there you go well and did you know

that kingd of the Crystal Skull made $790 million what well cuz people didn't know that it was bad at first until they'd seen it yeah but that's people going back to see it you don't make that much money with people seeing it once that's true that's true maybe well remember when The Phantom Menace came out I saw that a bunch of times cuz I refused to accept that it was bad I saw it three times on the didn't get better see it again it'll get better it'll get better didn't get better I just need to find what it is that's good about it I told myself for for the first like 10 viewings it was good and then I finally accepted it yeah it was not I tried to watch people always say Revenge of the
