so I have to ask this question and the question that everyone wants answer everyone needs to know anyone run out of toilet paper yet no M I'm swimming in it swimming in it just hand it out on street corners there welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerd we're getting close it's gotten crazy here too uh like and it wasn't crazy there last week was it no man this just this week I guess cuz you know it got Trump declared a national emergency and and then was it the week before he was

calling it fake news oh God I don't know I can't keep up but get your flu shot and you'll be fine I think were his exact words yeah cuz uh Jenna was on her way home and she said do we e anything and I said oh if you could grab I don't know some odds and ends and I was like and maybe maybe grab some toilet paper just because I have a feeling so let me get this clear Matt you didn't need any but you got some anyway no you're here's the thing I I knew I could tell things were going south and so I figured let's just get some not like crazy amounts just get some so that when body buys all the rest of it at least we've got some uh and it's a good [ __ ] thing we did cuz um she got to the store and there was a [ __ ] line

out the door basically with just trolley full of paper towel toilet paper just weird [ __ ] like don't you people want food like what is going on it's really this whole thing is very confusing because well now they've bought all the food as well so yeah they're buying all of this but people are stock poing all this stuff but they're not using it no no because I mean okay I I am uh I'm self quarantined for the next two weeks I guess oh you are are you yeah like where work's saying you know work from home for two weeks and oh okay yeah yeah my my work is are saying the same like if possible yeah work from home my work is saying no one is allowed a day

off yeah yeah is your uh is your country prepared to deal with this if it happens because I don't think ours is that's the problem our is very prepared we had SARS yeah well the the the talk was that the anyone who has covid-19 right now is probably fine anyone who gets it in 2 weeks probably going to die so cool um with all of this I do have some sad news oh I'm probably not going to be able to come and visit you anymore then yeah not hey well for starters Australia has put a two we quarantine on anyone returning to Australia yeah yeah yeah we got that too so yeah cuz what while just yeah so I don't think I can get like three weeks off work with two of me just sitting at home yeah alth that sounds excellent

yeah that sounds real good yeah yeah and the prices haven't quite dropped just enough yet they need to drop another $100 I'm meant to be going to the UK in 6 weeks and I'm really concerned I won't be to go cuz I might not be able to get back I think getting back's the biggest thing cuz yeah everywhere's sort of shut down from UK now haven't they or Europe Europe's crazy lockdown now Spain added to the list today UK so far so good but they're an island does that help cuz so if you're if just just thinking right so Europe is not stopping people cuz you know you're going there on vacation right and you're concerned you won't be able to come home like but they'll let you in I suppose like well he's probably fine yeah I don't know whether they know a lot about

it because Singapore to people that don't know certainly sounds like it might be in or near China you know yeah right it isn't yeah but uh sounds like it yeah it sounds like it might be and so people it's certainly one of the if it's not on the official list it's definitely on the officially paranoid list well I guess it maybe let's people might be traveling but let's just say I was like if I was to go to Australia right now I guess I would probably be considered to be returning to Australia and I would be quarantined for 2 weeks right y if I was locked away if I was an an American going on vacation to Australia would they just not let mecked away or would I um no I think you can still come but you have to real two

weeks of it you're going to be quarantined for two weeks that's stupid hopefully your holiday is longer than two weeks a lot longer that would be stupid well I guess a lot of people are losing uh losing money basically cuz if You' got this stuff booked I'm not sure insurance covers this [ __ ] yeah South by Southwest have uh fired most of their staff and uh I think it also depends on when you booked it yeah like if you booked it knowing that oh it's a possibility so well hopefully you no one was planning on going to Disneyland I I am in August I'm hoping this all blow over by then well you got lucky cuzz you're not going now just in time yeah all the Disney are closed right or is Euro still open I think I know all the ones here are all

those closed all the Apple stores are now closed yes WWDC is going to be online only this year even though it's in June so every yeah any sort of event now is being cancelled yep E3 um canell E3 which that's probably one that's going to hit hardest cuz I was playing to go next year and with that being canceled it's not going to happen no well saying South by Southwest might be done now that's [ __ ] up might be done so pretty it's crazy cuz I was talking about this with Hannah on safe file earlier um I think the like a big Microsoft and stuff they're not going to be fill the pain of this what's really going to it's the small Indie developers and the small IND the studios oh yeah cuz this is the time where they go and they meet other people they have the

talks they show off the game get interest going they the want to go Microsoft where well don't worry we're just going to show our stuff online it's fine but well that's the thing right if you a lot of bands having to cancel their tours and stuff like that in particular we saw Deon Townson the other week but he's now had to obviously cancel the rest of his tour uh and for someone like him that's a big hit because that's his [ __ ] livelihood so if if if you're listeners if you're out there and you you know we plan on seeing a band or or an artist or anything by some small kind of Indie artist in some way you might be pissed off that you don't get to see him but the I mean honestly the best thing you can do is go and buy some merch or something actually

go and buy it don't don't go and listen to their song on Spotify because you're sad you're not seeing them actually go and buy their album yeah cuz they get they're getting [ __ ] over right now what not [ __ ] up you know what I mean like it's it's going to be uh it's going to be tough for for those kind of folks coming a lot of the big bands are keeping their their tour dates by live streaming concerts but uh someone like Devon who's you know not well known enough for that to really make a difference you know who makes money by people buying t-shirts at his gigs yes okay but honestly even if you were a big band would you actually watch them stream their concert no not at all man but bands have been trying to do that since [ __ ] second life and I've

always thought that's [ __ ] like yeah man is second life still around somewhere does that still exist could I log back into that wasn't there an incident I think we talked about this where I don't know if it's still around but there was a a didn't the guy who was running it commits suicide because it all got hacked and deleted or something and uh you know what I have no memory of that I don't know I awfully exciting um friend of the show Grant and I uh yes went into it once uh right at the start and hung around in it for about 40 minutes and we're like why are we here let's go well they they used to do on on

something awful there used to be a a goon squad I guess in um second life and they used to do stuff like if if the people were organizing these events like you know like a concert in the game um you know you can just change your your avatar to anything they would just turn themselves into a massive Army of floating penises and fly through the event right sorry when did you say goon squad I thought you're talking about C Wine yeah yeah that's not what that is yeah I've told people about that about wheel of goon many times and people are very wheel of for listeners who don't know what wheel of goon is want to give us a rund down well you need a Hills hoist close line in the backyard you look up what that is

Americans now there's a couple of different ways to play the one that I knew the most was you have Tropicana which is probably the nicest of the cast wi and then well none of them are really good but but then you get like three other terrible ones and you basically spun it and where everyone stood around Circle wherever it stopped you had to drink from that bag yeah as probably terrible game play dur coron virus and and drink out of a plain silver bag that you had no idea what you were consuming and if you drank enough you could blow it up as a pillow for the end of the night what was there's no not even any goal with this game it's there's no winner there's only losers yeah except for the liquor store

not even the liquor store cuz you only paid $5 for it yeah it was really cheap and yeah that's back when I couldn't hold my alcohol so it was not pretty yeah none of us there we you attach it to the Hoist there was a time where I couldn't drink a lot the cheapest alcohol I ever bought I bought a bottle of passion pop for $3.50 and passion Pop's actually I think like a12 $15 bottle I'm surprised it even still exists because I can't imagine anyone who has1 whole dollars to spend on something eat and adult I'm lying passion pop five bucks there you go so it has inflated but not much man I drank and then proceeded to vomit that entire bottle uh and it was not fun meanwhile I'm not drinking for a month

right now uh cuz I'm doing whole oh nice yeah I try not to drink it's really hard yeah it is hard um I miss the drinks more than I miss the food that I can't eat um to be to be honest well cuz with the with the food you can still make nice food you can yeah you can exactly but I'm drinking you have to put more in but I'm Mak good stuff when I was doing Whole 30 I can't do Whole 30 now I'm vegetarian now so Whole 30 is not really compatible but I made some good stuff when I was yeah but yeah no I'm uh thinking back to my lemon chicken and whatnot that I was making that stuff was good yeah yeah learn I learned some cooking skills

while I was on a beer all 30 no no can't have a beer can't have any alcohol no can't have any delicious drinks actually they're like what about vodka no it's alcohol [ __ ] me yeah unless it exists in real life yeah stop listing types of alcohol I can't have alcohol doesn't matter what kind yeah that's right look just jumping back to uh Corona virus um Tom Hanks has it yeah go Australia I'm he got it here I'm guessing he did get got in Queensland yeah he got he was shooting something there um and because uh Aussie Aussie Aussie um when he was put into quarantine the uh the Australian you know uh medical staff rolled in a little wilon volleyball to keep him company nice yeah but here's the thing

that I find really interesting about this we are we are in the midst of a global pandemic right now uh whole countries are under lockdown and quarantine do you know anyone who has this cuz I don't I don't even know a friend of a friend or a cousin of a friend's roommate only um Tom is the closest person I know who has this and I don't know Tom Hanks at all to be clear know people I've met people who have had it who have had it you've met it while they've had it no no not while they've had it I've met them in the past okay no no one I would say is my like a friend o I see like the people I have met many many years someone someone in the hospital listening to this episode

right now and they heard Luke say that and they just little tear ran down their somebody sorry Tom Tom Han is just [ __ ] devastating I thought we were friends wow that was a terrible Tom Hank alerson alers oh man don't Matt that's going to make me cry that scene oh my God yeah oh he floats off yeah yeah yeah yeah that's a good movie it's a great movie I haven't seen it what that's good now time Loop it is topical speaking of how do you didn't put this in the spreadsheet but I need to ask you Luke we got to we got to discuss a film that you saw or two films

that you saw two films this week so this week me and Hannah were guests on another podcast called nerd on oh yeah and for this they wanted us to watch Blade Runner and Blade Runner 2049 okay that's great sounds like there's School in here I had I hadn't seen Blade Runner in many years and I've for some reason never saw blade runner 2049 and I don't know why I don't know why either I actually I think I do it's because I knew it was going to be a long movie going in and I knew it was going to be slow yeah oh yeah oh yeah so we sat down we watched Blade Runner Hannah went that wasn't too bad I went that was amazing yes then we sat down that's what usually happens after you're you know what too easy but then 24 9 no where you're going that you're

correct and Hannah went this is long and I want it to end and I was I want to see more of this I enjoying it it was a great movie 2049 is [ __ ] awesome and I will admit even after watching the original one I hadn't seen it in many years I actually look at it I experienced it differently than what I did when I was younger yeah I think I took more from it now sure totally that makes sense cuz yeah like even the scene where he's like mowing down a replicant who's trying all she's doing is trying to run away and hide from him yep she's not trying to hurt anyone she just wants to live and he just kills her In Cold Blood well they they did murder a bunch of humans to get away that's why that yeah but sort of

it's why of but they they weren't doing it because they were evil they were doing it because they wanted to live yeah yeah and yeah so yeah I I I took more from it this time and I actually quite liked it yeah good movie you like Ryan goling in the sequel quite yeah he he was he was he was pretty good um I really wish David Bowie was alive yeah yeah yeah he but yes he would have made a much better Wallace yeah mhm I was a bit confused by The Wallace character but then I've had explain that there was some like three shorts made they were yeah and actually you should give them a watch they're interesting yeah cuz they they're set before the movie and they evidently they help to

explain it a little bit more so I'm actually going to go hunt them down I just think Ryan Gosling like for a pretty boy he he he does a lot in 2049 in particular I think he's a very good actor anyway but he just does like a lot with he he's almost he's very low on emotion in it but he's not but that's when he's at his best is when he does less well there were times where I think yeah he did his face just showed no emotion and then there were other times where it was and I think that's what the scene called for I think the the it's a really good combination of like for example the I don't spoilers minor SPO spoilers I'm not really going to explain what this

means but you guys [Music] it's I get what you mean I I think you could cut it out completely cuz it's kind of like fundamental could story but probably made it done it a little bit better that part of it it's the only P I didn't quite get and also I will admit it's only my first watch man I know this is a movie you need to watch multiple times where I literally gasped out loud and it was a returning it was a returning character and it wasn't Harrison Ford oh sure right oh was it um the cop I'm not I'm not spoiling it so I'm not going to say this movie came out three

years ago I know but if you haven't seen it such a moment honestly I I guess he's got a point came out three years ago and if you didn't see it already you don't you prob don't care exactly theel Rachel When Rachel came back I I literally went in the cinema and yeah wrong color eyes nice try Wallace yeah excuse you yeah I went I went the technology is not quite there yet really I thought it was shot in a way that it it covered that up fairly well yeah I was it I I don't know it's still I felt too too weird to me still but that's fair the if there's any instance of like computer face replacing where Slipping Into The Uncanny Valley is actually warranted it's this oh sure

oh yeah that I completely understand why they did it and that's the only way that would have worked and but yeah I think I can't wait for just probably another five more years and I think the technology will be there if we're still around yeah if we haven't stabbed everyone for toilet paper look before we move on um we mentioned Disneyland very quickly um yes Matt you and I I mean we we've all been to a couple of Disneylands together uh Matt can you remember which Disneyland you and I were in or was it with you Luke or was it with both of us who was with me when we saw Jews in It's a small world after all that was with me yes and and was so that

means that was in Europe no that was in uh is it Hong Kong oh it was Hong Kong okay I've completely forgot about that one because I was at Disneyland last week and uh I went on CH to go on it's a small world what's wrong with with Brian because his wife she's like when we walk to got to Disneyland she's like I don't care about Star Wars world I don't care about literally anything I just want to go on it's a small world after all it's the worst ride in the world yeah we told that we told that but she was gracious enough to let us drag her onto every other ride during the day um and then the very very last ride we went on we went on It's a Small World After All and uh and we were in the line and and they were kind of asking about it and I'm

like no people from everywhere and they're like everywhere and I'm like look we saw Jews on the last one ashkanazi Jews and uh so we we were on the lookout for Jews this time and uh I can I can say with absolute certainty there are no Jews in the Anaheim Disneyland It's a small world after all really not one do is there a you think there's something behind it is that what is that what we're getting at here I'm just saying no Jews conspicuous lack of Jews you know what there was though there was an Aboriginal leg of juice go there was an Aboriginal

character um that was the white Australian character that I remember seeing the first time I went there but just resprayed a little darker to be a bit more politically correct cuz he was holding a boomerang so one thing I still find weird because they've just come out recently and said like they're not going to release song of us house on Disney plus even with a disclaimer yeah that's which I can understand why but I don't understand why they don't update Splash Mountain yeah cuz Splash Mountain is just Song of the South in Mountain form yeah yeah but it's not like it doesn't have any the content related to it it's fairly like yeah but but me it's still it it doesn't it doesn't the content of

Song of the South isn't necessarily the problem either it's kind of just the context around it right sure well I think I think I I've never seen it but is it is some of the content like questionable I think it's mostly just that it shows African-American characters living in the Deep South during the gym Crow era and none of them seem to be upset okay but yeah it's just weird I don't know why they don't update Splash Mountain to go cuz it still draws back to it's still hey look there's this movie out there and it's creep interested in it I feel like if you're it's iconic right I can understand why like I I kind of agree but on the other hand right like the stend effect right yeah as soon as they go oh we're going

to change Splash Mountain why what are you doing that for huh yeah that's right so like maybe Luke wants to design something for it I mean it's not like got a Confederate flag in there no not anymore what what would you replace it with Luke it'd be Star Wars related yeah yeah oh man Star Wars ride you know we and you know why you you know last week I was telling you guys about how there's a lottery every day to get on the [ __ ] Star Wars ride the resistance ride yeah yeah so um a friend of mine went recently spent two days there went before opening both days in a row got rejected both get it yeah then other friends of mine went twice in a row and got on twice in a row two days

in a row yeah see this is scarying me cuz I'm starting to look at booking my trip and I'm starting to really consider I may need to go 3 days looks top concerns number one not getting on Rise of the resistance number two Corona virus yeah oh no that's not even number two for me number two for me is when the new Xbox is going to come out because of Corona virus guys they even cancelled the New York conference on Corona virus because of the Corona virus I mean that makes sense but it sort of seemed weird to even have that sort of plan for what it was mhm mhm cuz that's not something that needs to be done face to face and I think this is definitely something that could have still gone ahead yeah yeah doing stuff did we talk

last week about the um because you know schools here have uh they actually they've moved April holiday April vacation they call holidays here April vacation to um uh yeah that's a weird sorry we I know we talked about things that are slightly different in America before they don't holidays are like uh Independence Day that's a holiday if you go away somewhere that's not a holiday that's a vacation so so what's school holidays school vacation school vacation oh they say school vacation I'm pretty sure someone's going to write and correct me but I'm I'm pretty sure they don't say holidays we just call it the summer well they they've bumped them up to next week because Rhode Island's in a state of emergency and and all that jazz um and what was my

point I've completely there's going to be kids everywhere and you're going to have to stay 100 m away from all of them I forgot where I was going with that what were we talking about you know what you know what's iron what's kind of annoying is that uh the university that I attend via distance learning the University of harder is currently closed but I still have to hand in my [ __ ] assignment oh that's what I was going to say so the kids are at home right and so uh classes in in some places are online now and do we talk about the kids in in Wuhan they all got sent home right quarantined yeah uh and they have to do their homework via this app but the kids figured out if they all get together and

rate the app one star they can get it kicked off the App Store the app disappears yeah and so that's great that is that is great that is ingenuity too too smart for homework see one thing with one thing that's going to be weird this week cuz the rugby league started up again in Australia this week oh yeah this week all the games were normal next week uh they're still going to play the games but no fans are allowed to go I feel like that's too late that's why everyone keeps saying like oh you know we'll we'll quarantine in a few weeks once we get sick no that's too late well that's what it's even the we they came out with die out they announced on Friday that in Australia that more than

you shouldn't go to event all events with more than 500 people to gather should be cancelled but we're going to start that on Monday so like so everybody gather around this weekend y get together now spread it around I've got an announcement to make everyone gather around yeah don't no Gatherings yeah no Gatherings from that from Monday on oh and uh movie production most movie productions I think have been put on hold from what it seems the first it was Disney put a halt on all liveaction films they specific about that so I guess Pixar's still working but um yeah well you can't catch Corona virus off of a cartoon Matt no but you can be in the office and get it but I guess they can work maybe they can work from home can you work on a Pixar film from home

probably not right my guess is not are you allowed to take your computer home because I mean they've got to have some [ __ ] Hefty machines yeah and render Farms yeah anyway remote in what am I talking about yeah you can just remote in you rem um and then uh Warner's put Batman and some other [ __ ] on hold too so yep The Rock just announced that his shows stopped filming I'm okay with Batman being on hold because have you guys heard the latest casting rumor yeah I haven't please please please don't let Johnny Depp be the Joker what if there's one guy who has already abused the [ __ ] funny wigs and bright costumes wife oh right just don't just don't if there's

anyone who could be potentially worse than Jared L just please not John remember remember when Johnny Depp was the best yeah Johnny dip was my favorite actor at one stage when he'd only done four or five movies and they were all great but then he just kept being Johnny Depp yeah weirder and weirder versions of Johnny Depp mhm yeah and I know I've already talked about this but have you did you see that there was an article Rolling Stone piece about his his [ __ ] why he's broke even though he should he should have like millions and millions of dollars like what a OD no what's the reason yeah because he he so he was um suing his accountant or something and so his accountant was counter suing him on the grounds that he's impossible to [ __ ]

control and he just spends like Millions and millions of dollars on garbage he buys uh allegedly or this is alleged don't assume you join de um allegedly he buys cases and cases of like the most expensive wine that you would buy and keep as an investment and he just [ __ ] drinks it all and then I'm all I'm all for that though he was he had something like I can't remember the amount but he had an a huge number of properties right around the world fully staffed so that he could go to them at any point right and then he um but each of them apparently has like a an emotional attachment to so like when his accountant was like oh you need to sell this [ __ ] Island and he would cry and be like oh where my daughter took her first steps or something like that and

then the account was like for [ __ ] sake fine we'll just keep spending millions of dollars a year to keep them and and then that's why he's in so many [ __ ] movies now is because basically they sit down and his accountant is like you need to do 50 films this year otherwise you need to cut back and he's like fine I'll do it I don't really feel sorry for him though it's just such an odd life I think it's one of these things where no one well people are probably telling him no but he just doesn't listen yeah that's what that's the impression I got yeah from this this article I'll uh I'll see if I can find it and put it in the show it was it was very interesting people become very disconnected sometimes when they sort of become that sort of famous and

supposedly rich like Prince was another person who would just spend and ask for anything at the drop of a hat yeah and just got used to just people giving him whatever he wanted that story I love that story Kevin Smith told about Prince when he wanted him to he wanted him to direct a movie just for him that in his Prince called Kevin smithing cuz he liked clerks and he said I want you to make a movie and he's like I can't no it was it was a very specific movie I can't remember what it was and Kevin Smith's like I can't do that and and Prince is like just no Prince is assistant was like he's no one else is ever going to see it it's just for him just do it take the money that sounds like North Korea level garbage but it was also to like he'd ask like crazy

things like he'd ask for like a donkey but didn't understand like he'd be at a hotel and ask for something stupid like that but he didn't understand when people were saying I can't actually do that for you he didn't comprehend that yeah no I want this Kevin Smith saying to his assistant saying to to Kevin Smith please you have to do this I can't explain to him if you won't do it you're going to he's not going to get it yeah I wish I was that rich I don't I I'd share it with you guys that's not what I'm worried about no I don't I don't mean I don't I wish I don't wish you were that rich Luke I mean I don't wish I was no I want to be I want money but I don't want to be stupidly Rich cuz they're the people that end up bankrupt

half the time I think I could handle stupidly Rich yeah I I think I'd just I'd put most of it in investment well you hear those stories of those people who win like $300 million in the lottery and then 10 years later they're completely bankrupt as they don't know they go out and they buy all all their friends houses and cars and they spend spend spend spend spend and then they realize they broke and then friends go bye thanks for that's cuz you buy one friend a house you got to buy all of them a house don't you mhm guys if I get that much money I'm not buying your houses good just don't even tell us that's just don't even tell us just start shouting dinner like a little bit more it just be weird like you just wake up one day and

I'll be outside your door [ __ ] like that's never happened wait that's if you win a lot of money or if you lose a lot of money win a lot of money it might just happen anyway danen either way is what I'm saying yeah I could just wander off and I get York remember we met up in New York and then Luke just shows up yeah that's right I he when no no we did like he did both the showing up and the wandering off yeah he was one minute he was there next minute he was [ __ ] gone the the showing up was great the wandering off as usual worried everyone yeah I I I don't know I wonder off I meet you people I have Adventures I haven't been murdered yet you don't remember them true no I get in the

van speaking of remembering things Matt last week on on the podcast you you mentioned remember the time our two part best of and uh it inspired me to go back and listen to both of those uh yeah they're very good they're very good um look I know they're just I know they're just the good bits but it it made me miss a certain energy that came from as not what you think that came from a time yeah when we all had free time yeah to actually watch the films and play the games that we discuss because now we say things like yeah I picked it up uh hopefully I get a chance to play it

yeah know and then that's the end of it whereas you know this is this is back in the day where we were like yeah I spent 40 hours this weekend playing you know x y z when when Skyrim came out and we all just spent weeks and weeks playing it and married and weeks and weeks discussing it that's right yeah man when during that period where we were just all immersed in Skyrim for the first time that world was more real to me [Music] a game where you they're like oh help me and then you go it's like collect me 10 feathers and then you collect the feathers and come back it's like you'll be riding through the [ __ ] Countryside and some guy's like w my my

kid's been stolen by a monster and then you're like you actually investigate and find [ __ ] Clues and the blood stains and it's like oh it's not a monster it's actually some Elves have kidnapped the kid for ransom and and like it's this whole big [ __ ] thing and then it's like oh I've been playing for 2 hours haven't done anything in the main quest yet and it's not like even just oh you have to go kill the monster you'll go and sometimes be fighting the monster and then you actually start talking to them and finding out their St oh why are you trying to kill me and you're like cuz you're a monster man just try to make a living yeah what troll do so good speaking of monsters um Weinstein

in prison for 23 years that's a good segue yeah like that yeah 23 years uh long he's not going to survive 23 years in jail no yeah well according to according to what he's probably to play up he's not going to survive six months in prison according to I read comment online that said I really hope that he's faking it and that he lives a long time in there yeah yeah sure yeah the second sort of he got charged and started having to go to court he seemed to have to start using walking aids and all this stuff yeah yeah yeah Christopher SK all over again um this might be an insensitive question but whose rape has he been convicted of uh you know what it's actually uh I think just one case in

particular that um where's the list cuz uh I guess a list oh yeah well there was no there is a list I mean accusers there's a [ __ ] long long list but this was only about a handful of of cases because I think they they limited it to to ones I mean I'm this is what I some of them went beyond the statue of limitations right I'm saying I'm like not trying to you know say that any of the others were like not as valid or anything but I think these were just ones that they were like we can get him on this and it's R ones that had physical or something like that but I think they actually did bring in some of the people who like was past the time where they could actually charge but they brought there statute of

limitations on sexual assault I thought there wasn't I thought that's why priests were I think getting in trouble for potentially more about like there was I think there he he he did a lot of you know you do this for me and I'll do something for you and I think that's less clearcut in in a court whereas some of this was quite straightforwardly just but also with the stat of limitation I think it also just depends on the age of the person at the time because you do have it where priests are sort of being picked up a lot later it's because the children sort of I think think yeah I think it's all weird and yeah not really something for a comedy podcast I'm talking about no no no no no no I didn't that was when Matt was D was talking about the priests oh oh oh oh yeah about

cops they pulled him over and of course he was over the limit M andely unrelated although throw back earlier in this a court has or a judge has Ed uh Alex Jones to stop selling his fake Corona virus cures that he has available on his website so see that's disgusting he's such a [ __ ] witht like I just don't know I I don't understand how anyone can defend this guy I know and here's the thing though usually he's actually quite an Entertainer [ __ ] with some of the time absolutely he his appearance on Joe Rogan hilarious but like I [ __ ] with and even if you just listen to his show sometimes like he so long as he's not hurting anyone

the garbage he spouts is is it's just it's you know it's funny at best people believe it that's the problem yeah that's the problem and he believes it I think well but then he says he doesn't that's what I mean that's the problem with him he he just says anything like and he doesn't realize that but for some reason people take him seriously he just says any old [ __ ] like I don't know it weird weird dude so he's just locked up for a short period he's yeah he's looked up for his DWI I looked it up and the bail is $3,000 so I'm not quite sure why nobody's paid that yet except that maybe no one wants him to get out yeah maybe no one likes him anymore m fake coron virus cures what a [ __ ] yeah that's that's low that reminds me did

you see there's a New York Times article about these people who um they this guy in particular I think he's in New York somewhere he was driving around he rented a U-Haul when all of this started and he bought all the hand sanitizer and and like and like you know wipes and stuff uh that he could find like filled the truck up with him brought them home and was selling them on Amazon like at a massive markup but thenon shut him down cuz there's actually in I don't know if it's everywhere but in Rhode Island in particular like they've put in a it's it's illegal now to sell anything related to the [ __ ] Corona virus like you know hand wipes hand sanitizer anything above market value like yes so now this guy's got like literally pallets of [ __ ] hand

sanitizer in his sh his garage and he can't do anything with it but then there are people out there who can't can't get any well that's actually what uh the supermarkets in Australia have actually just done so when when this sort of passes over and they got all these people who stockpiled all this toilet and all this stuff W said we're not accepting refunds on that like you went out you stuck P it you're stuck with it now like you took it all when people needed it so start [ __ ] that kind of reminds me of uh my friend Vincent back in the day who was was it was an actor an aspiring actor and he uh he took a job for Colgate where he got paid for the ad not in money but in a lifetime supply of

toothpaste [ __ ] off how much is a lifetime supply of toothpaste and they delivered it all at once so it wasn't like just like every month they sent him a tube they didn't yes they did they just delivered this massive amount of toothpaste and also do you guys remember Colgate Sparkle the bubblegum flavored toothpaste that also had glitter and thez Sh like it was that it was that it was that which I assume I assume they just had like [ __ ] warehouses full of that that they just could not move yeah and then this IDI what we going to do with this agreed to take that as his payment but he was constantly trying to unload it on on you for free like many you need some toothpaste you guys right for toothpaste

yeah well I've got uh actually I need to check no we're all good I've got a a grocery delivery this morning and I'm waiting to hear what what I can't have because uh stores are out of a lot of stuff although I haven't received any notifications yet so that's uh it's looking good looking good but I'm only buying uh well I'm buying slightly more than I normally would just because I don't want to have to go to the store because people are [ __ ] crazy you're not buying like three four months worth you're buying two a week two weeks worth instead if I can avoid having having to go to the store like if things get weird that's that's all I'm worried about I'm not worried about like you know the end of the world or anything but people can get weird they already are cuz they're

buying all espcially America no offense well I don't really want to have to go to get just some food and line up for 3 hours right so I'm just trying to make sure that if I can avoid it I don't have to go anywhere for two weeks basically did you order more toilet paper in this delivery I did not I've got enough toilet paper I'm I'm pretty confident I've got a packet of toilet paper there's two of us in the house I'm sure we'll be fine we'll see let's hope you can mail me some K Dan yeah yeah I got plenty maybe I'll just fly over just to pick up toilet paper yeah you got yeah Singapore only quarantines you if you come from China right or if you've been in China at any point in the last couple of months we have to spend a lot of time with this

but can we do you guys I mean this might be racist to say that maybe it happens less where you are damn but have you found people being weird about like just like they think Asian people are giving everyone the flu oh no it is it is terrible there's actually some um I think some Chinese restaurants in Sydney that basically had to declare bankruptcy cuz people just stopped going because they were worried wow yeah man I've seen some weird [ __ ] here related to that just people like suddenly don't trust Asian people like they don't understand man it's not happening here but uh right yeah it it has happened so many and yeah I don't understand it because I'm not surprised that people are just literally waiting for an excuse to hate on someone that's what I'm saying that's the only

way I can explain it is that it's almost like people are just like it's finally okay to be racist Asians again yeah so weird like it's asian-americans like not that it matters right but just I mean itried might it but this is not not who these people are like yeah you know fourth generation asian-americans got no more chance of having Corona virus than you do yeah it's been reported on in Australia that yeah like restaurants and stuff and stuff like that sales are down because people are worried about the v i so go bu Chinese food everybody well here's the food is different though I I I like you shouldn't be racist against

Chinese people Chinese people don't have coron virus but I can kind of understand why people don't want any food that they suspect might have been imported from China that I would understand oh okay yeah okay fine yeah but I'm pretty sure my local restaurant isn't importing everything I would say almost definitely it's not because Australia has much better proest than China but I can kind of understand at least the paranoia yeah but yeah just don't don't don't be mean to Asian people Jesus Christ like there was report a little while ago woman started a new job she was um and she was there with a few other people starting the first day they shook everyone's hand but didn't Shake hers because she was Asian because worried about the Corona virus you know

what I'd love you know what I'd love if one of them did have Corona virus and now everyone's got it to her got to be hilarious yeah oh God but also they even sort of made a little joke about it and people are just the worst first they can be they certainly can be I watched a TV show this week that I wanted to talk about and it's a good segue to come out of this because uh interestingly enough the kind of cool hot bully in this show is Asian and uh I don't think I'd ever seen that before oh yeah but anyway I'm talking about the show Cobra Kai uh never the the long awaited sequel to The Karate Kid has anyone seen this I've seen season one and two and I actually thought it was really good mate I love this Matt watch it and I'm at season one

and I'm not even at the end yet but this is what all sequels should be not a cash grab 2 years after the first film 30 years later Nostalgia trip like this is yeah this is everything that you loved about Karate Kid back and twisted to a little bit of irony you know like everything's kind of inverted a little bit everything's up to date there's a little bit of dramatic irony in the sense that um things that used to happen are just not okay anymore you know like the fact that uh you know when uh you know when the the Cobra Kai kids are ganging up on Daniel Son and Mr Miagi comes and kicks all their asses right so that exact scene in Reverse happens in this and Johnny who's now the lead character and he's old he kicks the asses of all these kids and then he gets

arrested for bashing up a bunch of kids yep it's great it's so good yeah I really you should give it a watch Matt it's actually it's really done really well and it's sort of weird sort of seeing cuz they both remember their childhood differently and how how it all happened and you see how like Daniel's life is great and then you can see how yeah no really you should give it a watch it is good so I'm going to finish season one tonight and I'm looking forward to season two is there just the two seasons leag just to I think they're making well they're probably not making it at the moment anymore but yes there is a season 3 coming great great this movie people involved in the production so this movie meant so much to me as a

kid like of all movies this one was so important to me when I was seven years old like and uhing number two of the movies okay well I didn't and here's why because I mocked up or did something against the rules when I was a kid and my mom was so angry at me that she said I can't think of a punishment for you right now but when it comes to me I'll know it right oh Jesus and uh the karate kid was my favorite movie I I used to watch it every day I joined karate classes and you know I was just doing all this stuff and then when they announced that there was going to be a sequel I was over the [ __ ] Moon I was like Karate Kid too oh my God it's coming out of the cinema and my mom just said well I think your punishment for

that thing you did months ago that you've probably forgotten about has uh has finally just presented itself sh I was not allowed to see it until it came out on VHS damn I don't really you don't really learn anything from that cuz I learned for I learned never to tr trust my mom that's what I learned that my mom doesn't make threats she makes promises that she keeps I watched a show this week that you guys told me I should watch uh it's a comedy show can you guess what it might be I watched Community First no no I've seen Community one I've seen all of community actually to be honest uh I watched the first community at some point too watched the first maybe four episodes of uh Silicon Valley oh ah that's a great show as well

does it hold up years old now yeah uh it's it's very funny and I'm really enjoying it and you mentioned it when we were talking about Mythic Quest the other week yeah and uh I'm really enjoying it's very funny uh you know I'm I'm appreciating as a as a you know software developer I appreciate a lot of the the jokes and whatnot it's good I do I did think it was a little funny uh that Luke couldn't suspend his disbelief watching the comedy show about a video game company and yet he he was telling me how much better Silicon Valley did it and it's uh basically the same kind it's all made up so yeah I I don't know why who knows what goes through my head yeah but I know I need to go watch that cuz it's six seasons of that now and I've only

watched the first two I think I think I've watched the first three maybe four but I'm I'm definitely not up to date either I laugh out loud at uh where he's showing them the pi Piper t-shirts and um what's his name uh denish says it looks like a guy sucking a dick and he's tucked another dick behind his ear for later that was very funny oh Matt the last episode of that first season is fantastic oh okay you're in for a treat you're in for a treat yes uh Matt I started watching something again uh that ID stopped watching only because I kind of burnt out when I watched the first four seasons back toback in a weekend um but this week I dipped back in and watched the fifth season of Always Sunny in Philadelphia oh very good wait is that one with the house booat yes yes yes it

is I love that episode The House booat episode is great because of the Imp because of the implication and then and then that woman is like you wouldn't be any danger so wait they would be in danger no how can I make this any clearer to you yeah so good oh man if this podcast was like this was five or six years ago I would just play that clip now we can't because times have changed but oh my God so funny yeah episode I loved I loved the episode where um they were trying to get trying to get a business off the ground [ __ ] I can't even remember this is what happens when I watch [ __ ] 10 episodes in a day but um yeah and they decide to make a video promo for it the crow Crow milk or whatever it's called um [ __ ] is that the what the the one where they're

making the little Adu Crow Fu I can't even remember yeah but I just remember their though fight milk fight milk and it's got a crow on it is it that that doesn't ring any bells no I don't think it is there must be twice where they do it cuz this is something else oh God okay but uh yeah but it's just the the tap so they they play the they play the video they're ad at like some conference or whatever and it's it's awful anyway and it's hilariously awful but then it clicks off and you see what's on the tape already that they had taped over you know like when you used to when you used to just see a little bit of the of the previous thing on a tape and it's just [ __ ]

Frank with a fire extinguisher just [ __ ] running down the road blasting the extinguisher at this screaming woman who is trying to escape and they don't make any reference to it or anything it's that's just that's just what's on the tape and then they cut away it's so funny so funny it's such a good show I just looked up fight milk and then I'm not even sure if this comes up but I've just remembered that one of Frank's companies is Frank's fluids LLC so funny yeah well yeah continue on there are some Seasons where it kind of gets a bit slow like was season four when Matt gets fat no when did Matt get fat I I that hasn't happened yet so that might be that might be the next one but he got fat on purpose right yes like that's not a fat suit like in battar

yeah no he actually he actually just and he said it was very difficult cuz he he actually like you know lucky him has trouble putting on weight yeah but then he as you would have seen him well I was watching this uh I was watching this interview with him recently talking about how he put on the weight and then you know and then kind of Bolt and cut and he was saying that while he was trying to get fat basically at lunchtime he would take a large size punet of ice cream out of the freezer and let it Thor out out and then at the end of the day when it was Liquid he drank it Jesus Christ yeah yeah I listen there's an interview actually with he's doing uh I guess podcast rounds at the moment because of Mythic Quest and he

was on get him on ours mate that I'd love that I think might have been on Dax Shepherd's podcast we're talking about what does Dax sheeper got that we don't have listeners Kristen Bell um celebrity wives all we need guys are celebrity wives and they were talking about how he when he was getting in shape and everything and um because he did it for the show you know sort of and um he said every day he I mean he writes the show but you know yeah exactly yeah he just decided he was going to do this but then Charlie Day apparently was like why are you doing this this is so pointless like you look you look like an idiot like just like every day like look [ __ ] ridiculous cuz he's always taking his shirt off and

that kind of thing and that's why in the show like he said that they they say that to him in the show but that's just what everyone was saying to him yeah I I I think a lot of that show is probably improved a little bit too right like you can kind of tell which bits scripted and which bits are them just talking over each other apparently they always do a pass or they they as many passes it as it takes to get the whole episode by The Script right so they just do that and then after that they'll spend however much time they have [ __ ] around that's how they do it yeah that's great yeah so like if if if later on they look back and something that seemed funny um at the time because that can happen they gu doesn't really work you can just go back to the script yeah because they have that too

so guess they figur that out 14 [ __ ] Seasons so yeah cuz knowing as we'd improv and then uh watch watch it back later and be like this doesn't make any sense we cannot use any of this well that's the thing about improving which became a real like staple of like Will Farrell that kind of generation of comedy films you know the the the ex Saturday Night Live guys that are now making films and stuff but it's one thing to make the crew laugh like you get a big laugh on the day and so it goes into the movie but then when we watch it well we're not the crew we're not watching this live we don't know what we've been talking about earlier that day yeah you get into a giggle fit or like you know corpsing on set and something that seems hilarious at the

time and you watch it back and you're like we're look like a bunch of idiots not at all yeah there's nothing funny about it speaking of improv I don't think we talked about this yet you asked about jier in The Witcher right Dan after you'd seen the show and about whether his character was kind of you know like that in the books yeah yeah and I saw an interview with that actor I think it was this week I don't think we've talked about this yet uh and he was saying that his character is actually more is a little different to to the way he was written because Henry caval would refuse not even refuse he would just not say lines that geralt had and he would just go instead and so he the other actors just bumble

around he would and he would go all right okay I now have to deliver the [ __ ] Exposition that he was supposed to say yeah yeah or he was supposed to ask something that I responded to that makes total sense now that I know that yes and then I was like well maybe that that must be partly joking but then I looked it up and then all of the other actors said the same thing that the they had an interview with the two girls Siri and um and Yen and they said yeah we'd be doing a scene and Henry would just not say the lines and every at first everyone's just like looking at each other like is he going to do it but then he would like get a grumpy look or something and then they be like oh we now have to improvise improvise around him Luke you're a professional actor now

did you know that that was an option you could just not say a line and the rest of the cast just had to fill in for you that's what I've always done I've never stuck to a script okay I thought that was great because I actually do think he he was right in a way like geralt's character is fantastic in the show and I just I wonder what those what it would have been like if it was just him being more chatty you know yeah I think I'd have a hard time if he was more chatty in it yeah cuz apparently well I I haven't read the books in a while but a lot of the first book in particular because he's he's more the main character even than he was in the others because all from his point of view he has a lot of dialogue in in the first book is it in a dialogue or is it

actually him talking to well he cuz he's narrating a lot of stuff I think like he has to deliver all the exposition CU it's he's the only kind of consistent character whereas so they had it like that in the show but then kaval was like I don't speak no you're going to have to speak for me not paying me enough for that so yes I think it deserves a rewatch now just to see that in effect I think it's one of the things I want to rewatch just because I probably I missed I binge watched it so I know there stuff I missed yeah I'm rewatching isic Quest it's so funny yeah I would watch it at stage yeah hey did you guys know and I I I I I thought it was him while I was watching it and I had to check

afterwards and and I was right the the tester that gets brought up from downstairs um yeah Lou Lou yeah that's Craig Mason the the writer of uh Chernobyl and The Hangover yeah and all of the dam movies I didn't know that but he is he an avid gamer too so I I think he probably put his hand up for that role when he heard that they were doing a a show about gaming yeah right is he a writer on the show no I don't believe he is he's a nebula award-winning writer well when you found him he was just selling rotisserie chickens at the fair also awardwinning also award-winning he is my favorite character in that whole series he's hilarious so good so
