to create their own Collectibles they'll just come in and I already made the best one uh here it is well I I yes I haven't made mine yet but I need people to pre-order oh based on pre-ordering from patreon this one is pretty impressive this one's got [ __ ] articulation yeah I mean these are [ __ ] impressive generally speaking the the sideshow ones this one says life size but how do they know how big a baby Yoda is very small well they have access to the actual baby Yoda real baby Yoda yeah yeah they got him in for the day baby yod that he is based full body cast on him hey you know how you know how they always say that Yoda the the original Yoda adult Yoda um his eyes are ABT Einstein's eyes I've never heard

that yes I've heard something like that before I don't think they actually took his eyes though okay so du him and they made no Matt if you if you want Einstein's eyes no digging is needed Einstein's eyes are on Ice somewhere out the back of the smithonian or somewhere I only learned that recently and it freaked me the [ __ ] out why do they need him in case one day they're like you know we need to look at this problem from someone else's point of view hook them up and then they can but the eyes I mean I can understand having his brain in a jar but it's like yeah now they think that all the power was in his eyes I guess I I just no what that's weird I wait so Yoda's eyes are modeled on Einstein's no they're actually his eyes

then could they took him out of smithonian for the day filmed him and then put him back when I was a kid Also let's be clear we know that this this is not Yoda as a baby just in case L anybody's like actually it's not a baby Yoda it's a baby but also I'm not going to call him the child cuz that's kind of dumb as well like I do like that sounds creepy the world is just calling it baby Yoda and I'm yeah I wonder how much that annoys Disney you know what I would love I would love if season 2 it's just about someone else and baby Y is not even in it yeah or [ __ ] you to the audience in this world we live in where they just [ __ ] change everything to suit what the fans like they're just like all right this is baby Yoda now make it work and joh Fa like the [ __ ] are you talking

everybody knows that George Lucas still did them so they're kind of like they have like this little force field around them these are somehow unofficial yeah exactly and everyone wants to do over yeah you do so you he people like bring back George Lucas to fix it all and I'm s of like he didn't leave it in a good place to begin with bring back bring back irin kerser to fix it dig him up slap his eyeballs in somebody and let's get him to do it yeah that's right yeah because I mean not even Lawrence casden you know could satisfy the fans and if anyone was going to ride a good Star Wars it would be him that he wrote that awful solo Han Solo line in Solo mhm yeah so how much

what I hear he mostly let his son write that oh really his son he 37575 is not bad I like how they've got this weird picture here on the is this little overlay always there where you can see what it looks like next to a horribly disfigured person it's like to show the size of the baby Yoda they've got this woman there with no facial features which like kind of Terri what yeah I don't know what you're looking at either no oh I'm looking at the Sideshow Collectibles website sorry oh you went to the website okay I pasted the link to it down there got from the article there's this like creepy Shadow woman holding the baby Yoda in the picture it's kind of creepy I'm

imagining Slender Man but the page is loading now so I'll know in a sec but I still don't understand how that's going to help like show Dimensions because you don't know how tall or big she is yeah good point you know how big a a human being is though roughly speaking theyy come on people vary by feet you know this Dan there is significantly less than a foot difference between you and me I guess it's prototype shown this is not necessarily the baby OD you receive man this thing is [ __ ] detailed yeah yeah it it's got a little apple next to it as well in one of the photos like apples come in different sizes is it is it the Apple there because because to show the size or is it just because he just wanted an apple and it's like Game of

Thrones where someone forgot to take the Apple out of shot it's like a Starbucks the um I think an apple would have would have gotten away with an apple if it was an apple that game left in the edit yeah I find it interesting that somebody drew this one to one scale woman next to this because they're like we're going to need to know the size roughly speaking and they're like okay what details are necessary and unnecessary it's like okay well the most detailed part of her she needs to have the Sideshow Collectibles logo on her t-shirt right so that's a must that's a must eyebrows eyebrows to show yeah leave it at that no eyes no [ __ ] Nose No Hands nailed it I mean look we

Christmas list forever now I gave nothing but compliments about Hannah's dick and I want that known and acknowledged uh a lot of Xbox news this week I want to know what Luke because they had I am both excited and annoyed mhm mhm we're getting very close to the time when it should be coming out but we still don't know when it's coming out or how much it's going to be yeah but this this announcement was never going to be about the console they it was going to be only about the games and they made that clear they made that clear but come on we're getting we've got like four months or something they keep saying Ian some the games they're all coming out you know holiday this

year which means the console has to come out so we know that it's coming out it's coming out November it's coming out November I've called it you know what I want you know what I want I I I packed up my Xbox a couple of weeks ago cuz I'm moving and then I unpacked it today because I realized I'm not going to move yet and I'm going to need to play the [ __ ] Xbox yeah um and then uh we'll get to this later in the episode but I wanted to play alien isolation cuz I never really gave that a good enough go and I realized that I didn't unpack my [ __ ] games and that I bought that when I was still buying games on discs Xbox needs to acknowledge when I own a game and let me download oh you you need to stop that because Xbox wanted to do that at the very start of this

generation but the internet lost it [ __ ] and said no yeah so when Xbox One first came out it was going to be you buy the disc in store you put it in it transfers the license to your Xbox you now don't need a disc in anymore yeah that would have been great everyone got upset because what if I'm not on the internet and my games don't work [ __ ] you Microsoft [ __ ] you and then they yep went really overboard connect to the internet once a day just so it could check cuz once you sell the game off like if you trade it in or something once someone else put it in their XBox the license would transfer across yeah but I remember there were also instances where you could loan the game out to a friend you could Nate a certain amount of friend you could Lo the game out you

couldn't play it during the time they had it it was like an oldfashioned trade they could play it for a while then they go I finished it now transfer the rights back to you be great except the Internet just did what the internet does and ruined it for everyone you say the internet but I reckon five or six years ago there's probably an episode of this very podcast where we are [ __ ] all over that idea probably not me I was selling it back then I'm pretty sure I wasn't was into it but I don't don't really remember I think Luke might have convinced me yeah Microsoft weren't selling it well they weren't leading with the good part they were focusing on like you have to connect to the internet and all this stuff where they should have been focusing on the sharing of

games and no disc stuff but yeah the marketing Park Department screwed up but classic blunder cuz how awesome would it be for you guys for me to buy all the games and then when I finish with them just loan them to you guys pretty good I mean I'm moving back to New South Wales Luke so I'm just going to come around and get a bunch of discs from you I don't have it I stopped buying discs years ago yeah I don't buy discs anymore in fact I've got over a thousand games on my Xbox to install it's like alien isolation which is on Game Pass I think still so I don't need the disc but I also bought that on dis and then so I actually there's a few games that I have on disc and I basically I'm just like oh I guess I don't play those anymore I'll see what's what I what do I not need to

dig the disc out for I'll play one of those yeah it just laziness really there there are times where I've gone I have the disc but then I purchased the game cuz I didn't want to get up and get it yeah I I considered that I've done that a lot with movies it's easier but it should be the same with movies you're absolutely right it should be that you if you've purchased a license to watch that movie at home you've you can now watch you the license well you can get I I mean I assume you can do this in other countries as well you do it here you can buy a copy of a movie that's like you buy the Blu-ray and it comes with like the Blu-ray the DVD and a key for a digital copy so that I mean that's yeah I think they were doing that but then I stopped buying Blu-rays as well and

start buying it digitally cuz it also we have do you guys have movies anywhere can you use that that's the Disney service where you sign up for it and then you link all of your services and if you buy a movie on say iTunes it unlocks it on all the other stuff as well I think I've what is that called Movies Anywhere Movies Anywhere yeah so I have like you know like uh we should find a place where that doesn't work and then sue them for um there was a period where Microsoft like At first Microsoft was in and then they they pulled out of it and then now they're back again so it again everything unlocks everywhere it's really good you know what I open to us residents oh okay sounds like a us thing

I want I want an app that links all my streaming services together because I I'm I I assume now it's never going to be like it used to be where you just have a television that plays all the channels you know you're going to have to subscribe to all these different things okay okay fine fine but then I want one interface where I can access it Blends the libraries of Netflix Hulu etc etc my Apple TV does it but it Netflix doesn't participate which is on them not on anybody else they just I don't know for some reason they don't like it but uh the Apple TV app does that for most stuff and then also I think my fire stick does that too and it does do Netflix I don't know why Apple did T just point out his when he said the the

word fire stick fire stick yeah I remember I was talking to uh I mentioned to you guys that I was going for a job at Warner did not get the job found out through a third party that I didn't get it though they just haven't gotten back to me I'd assumed I hadn't gotten it you do know though I do know now apparently that somebody else has got that so therefore I haven't but when I was in my interview he was saying something about the uh the convenience of the Netflix button on your remote control I was like M that's not convenience that's advertising yeah that's we to get a job what are you a [ __ ] idiot yeah no no they paid a lot of money to get that button there yeah well it worth every

penny I'm sure so Microsoft they the you know the what do you call it the Showcase Xbox showcase yeah so they're showing off all their new games coming out and my God does Game Pass good value I don't know why they didn't make I mean they they pushed game pass but like Ridley that was the star of the show like all the all of the games they announced will be on Game Pass right I think well just about all of them all the first party ones definitely what's the going rate what's the going rate of Game Pass uh it's 15 bucks a month or something right so yeah so it's roughly comparable to a Netflix or something like that and not only that you get them on PC as well so yeah it's I don't know it just seems like a [ __ ] crazy good deal to me yeah see to me I love games

but I don't love a lot of games I love very few games a lot yeah but but this where you get to find out which ones you like a lot yeah but that's what I mean if if it's always sounded like it's not a good deal for me because what are the chances but actually now if they're just going to like look dude all our titles are going to be on there so just sign up then is on there alien ation on there Witcher the new Fable game Witcher three was Wier like yeah listing games are already paid for guys yeah well you didn't you you could have just not paid for them or you could have just paid for them slowly every month over a long period of time yep and tried out some other stuff Fallout fours on there yeah again [ __ ] own it

fall6 okay don't own that don't own that but you mentioned Fable that was one of their um big announcements and there had been rumors there been rumors there was going to be a new Fable and and it I was right it's coming from playground games who are the people who make the Forza Horizon games a new Forza game as well I'm annoyed that there's no talk of when when it's coming out yeah it's just I hate announcements not only is there no talk of when there's no footage either it was just a CG yeah I was about to say judging by the trailer it's not finished yeah not soon no this is not coming out holiday this year no but I'll play it when it comes out you know if it's like the other Fables and it's as pretty as the launch trailer then yeah I'll play it did they not say at all when it's

coming out I don't recall no not for the Halo the Fable one the Fable was just a was that a s was that a fraudi and slip you're thinking about Halo mate thinking about Halo I'm thinking about Halo I don't know what to think of the Halo one I like how they've gotten away from Halo 4 completely now with the knights and stuff like that at that was a terrible terrible game I don't know I think they're going a bit more open world with this one you got the grappling hook and I don't know man I watched the footage and I was like this just looks like the Xbox game again like it's just literally the same [ __ ] thing and it even look I know that it it it looks nice but I don't know if it looks like nice enough to be like oh I want a new console to play this always felt that about Halo

Halo has a look that just I just don't it's very spongy to me if that makes sense I just I don't know what it is and it made me noticed that Halo Halo 3 is like $9 on Steam right now and I thought look I've never actually played a Halo maybe I'll just pick this up for nine bucks and then I watched the trailer again I was like nah I watched so this Halo infinite thing I was like that was pretty underwhelming and then I was like remember in whatever year it was the E3 announcement trailer for Halo 3 that was and it was that is a [ __ ] amazing trailer yeah so I went back and I rewatched that the one where just opens on the desert and Cortana that used to give me goosebumps what a [ __ ] trailer that's how you announce a game and then I looked in the comments and

all the comments on YouTube were like um you know up vote if you came from the Halo infinite trailer it'll rewatch this trailer and I was like [ __ ] sure did cuz yeah that's great that that Halo 3 trailer got me interested in a game that I was not interested in yeah and I was like that with ODST the ODST liveaction trailer is a movie I still want to this day yeah I bought Halo 3 on the basis of that trailer and I I mean I'm not a Halo fan so well you made you made me go to Halo fest with you Matt so that's right I got lots of photos of you looking bored filling filling in the uh the survey of uh how much or little I enjoyed it yeah zero out of 10

boring see where's I would have loved it you would have loved it you should have gone instead of me luk I I feel bad that I took that you should have gone instead of all I love I love the Halo Universe I love the story I love the books it's Master Chef Gordon Ramsey yep mhmh Cortana so I guess his suit runs on Windows he's got Cortana you got the arbitrator when having a disagreement they're calling the arbit and arbitrator comes in sort it out yeah good Universe there's some other games that they announced that coming out one I'm looking I don't know if was this is in the trailer they just announced it the the Microsoft flight simulator oh yeah that game looks

beautiful I didn't see that I mean that's always like a technological achievement the flight simulator always has been mhm so that's coming out on the Xbox it's coming out the Xbox and PC comes out next month I think and it has every airport in the world all of them all of them it's got like 37,000 airports wow wonder if it's got my little local airport that' be cool it might well I know like older versions of it used to have like bankstown airport all right did they have those little people picking outside it saying no bankstown airport talking Badger Creek oh yeah it's Badger Creek B Creek man I can't wait to see how Sydney's changed when I get back I wonder if they've built all that [ __ ]

nobody wanted man I'm I'm nervous I'm nervous about going back to Sydney actually I remember when I like I don't know this place at all there's trams where there used to be roads and roads where there used to be tra I haven't even been back up it's been 4 years I wonder how the traffic is now cuz when I left they just started putting up those Billboards that had it was just a billboard with a picture of everybody stuck it in gridlock and it said get used to it you didn't want the tunnel so get used to it they can't fix the traffic in Sydney because you can m in all the roads leading to Sydney but you can't widen the roads in Sydney I remember I remember the the years leading up to that it was just billboard saying no tunnel [ __ ] imagine the [ __ ] fumes

in that tunnel yeah and now they're like you didn't want the tunnel deal with it no one sit in traffic for 4 hours every day I I'm moving to the NorthShore when I get back and I'm hoping to find a job on the North Shore and then never ever go into the CBD ever ever again I'll work from home well you don't need to anymore don't need to go to the city yeah avoid the Harbor Bridge yeah it's beautiful it's picturesque not when you're driving on it I I guarantee you you get pretty [ __ ] sick of it when you have to drive across when you're driving on it every day it loses its promise you I see photos of Sydney now and I'm like I did not appreciate that because I saw it every day in [ __ ] traffic it's beautiful it's a beautiful city but I remember if

you if you were in the wrong lane approaching the Harbor Bridge you are going places you don't want to go and there's nothing you can do about it they built the [ __ ] wall between you and your destination on the bridge yeah I drove I remember there was one particular when I first moved to kirilly and I and I worked in artaman which is like one suburb north of kirilly and I crossed the bridge twice both ways yep because I just didn't know how to get into the lane the one lane that could get me to artaman and there's a toll one way and not the other way one way is a toll way and the other way is not so make sure you're aware of that yeah they charge the poor people to get cross from the city they don't charge the rich people to get into the city

them out yeah yeah speaking of cities you shouldn't go to uh the game that I'm most excited about from the Microsoft announcement was stalker uh stalker 2 MH cuz it looks really [ __ ] I was the I was watching the trailer and I was like oh this looks like stalker I wonder what it is oh oh it's stalker good stalker good then yeah yeah and then I started thinking oh [ __ ] I want to go back and play stalker what a great game that was I won't I'll just wait and I'll play stalker 2 yeah what a great but very frustrating game that kept me going back to it even though it was [ __ ] frustrating yeah and I even thought of going back and watching the film stalker that it's based on and then I remembered how frustrating to watch

that film is sure and uh how Dave and I once attempted like three times okay we'll put it back on we'll really concentrate this time uh but it's just incredibly incredibly boring cuz stalker is one of those games that people always say they want you know when Bethesda puts out a game and they're like oh it's all the level scaling and all this kind of stuff people like I don't want that I want to be able to wander into situations play stalker and you will [ __ ] die constantly and you'll understand why Bethesda don't do that cuz people [ __ ] complain about it like stalker you open the wrong door you walk into the wrong just walk slightly in the wrong direction and something will [ __ ] murder you it's a great game awesome game

there's that what else was it I think there was also oh for some Motorsport that's coming out we always driving fast I think I think forer each year the the executives from Microsoft get together sitting around the table and go the cars need to be shinier just when you thought they couldn't make them look more like real cars somehow they do something and you're like so [ __ ] shiny yeah what was the um we have Ray tracing and subsurface scattering on the paint jobs on these 3D renderings and you're like I thought it already looked real but now it looks more real it looks more real than you go look at the old ones you go cuz I remember like going back and having look at from forer 6 to 7 the jump was huge what was the game that

that uh Grand Turismo Gran Turismo remember when that came out and everyone was like [ __ ] man mate what was that one at the arcades that you sat in this um Daytona no no the one by SE um they brought seally sear rally and I was like [ __ ] man they can't get more accurate than this yeah it's funny how that works like just I don't know your brain fills in the gaps I guess until you've seen the next gen and then you go back and you're like the [ __ ] was I think go back well that's like me a couple of years ago I bought that pack that was every Hitman game because I love the Hitman games but you cannot go back no those original

PlayStation ones are just unplayable by today's standards yeah I'm excited about a vow which is the new role playing game from obsidian who obsidian [ __ ] rule they made my favorite fallout Fallout New Vegas yep uh a vow looks like Skyrim but it's pillars of Eternity world so they're giving us what it says the they're giving us the games that Bethesda won't give us anymore yeah exactly that that's actually their their company slow now yeah like everyone's just getting sick with the test of not releasing anything so we'll just go make it ourselves there's just like Fallout 76 everyone's like try again yeah and then obsidian's like we got you yeah seriously avow

looks [ __ ] beautiful yeah so I don't know when that's coming out but I will be playing it yeah we'll all be playing it they did seem to change their stance on this backwards compatibility thing in a way they so you know there there was all this talk of all the games on the Xbox One X will be playable on the Xbox one as well right because we talked about that the other week I think you mean Xbox series X and the Xbox One sorry yeah you're right yep um but that's not the case it will be up to the developers necessarily to do that well but they are encouraging developers they've always said up to the developers yeah but I mean they they did kind of say that they'll all work on everyone

they won't so I think I think I I think with th they said they were going to try because there's some there will be some games that just the Xbox One won't be able to handle it and you can't have something running forever that will run everything not possible it's just well even some of these launch titles won't so I think that was just a surprise just because they' been talking about how they'd be backwards compatible and then now they're just already they're not right off the bat so whatever I'm going to buy one anyway but it doesn't bother me I'm buying I'm buying the new one day one anyway since Microsoft will let me give them money they just shouldn't have said already discussed how we can't play half of our Xbox One games because

they're on discs and we can't we're too late to get up and get them out of [ __ ] yeah yeah I just feel like there's some bad communication there they should have probably always been their marketing department been quite good at this stuff but here's the thing right I'm more likely to go back and play a game that's 20 to 25 years old than I am to play a game from 10 years ago y you know what I mean like I'm not going back and wishing I could play Xbox 360 games at this point sure you know what I mean I'm playing [ __ ] Lucas Lucas Arts adventure games from the 90s or I'm playing whatever's [ __ ] brand new like backwards compatible to One console ago seems like maybe it's not that big a deal anyway yeah it to me it always seems like this thing people jump up and

down they really want like backwards compatibility and all this but Microsoft and Sony they've got the data they can see how many people are actually going and playing their old game that's true why people think they want it the DA's probably not reflecting that yeah you know what look you just hit the nail on the head and not just for games but for literally everything in the world right now yeah people have stopped looking at what people actually do mhm and they're just listening to what three or four L people actually say that's Twitter yeah that's what Twitter is did the I reading the other day telling everybody else how they want to live their lives yeah that's right and then and then everyone just being too scared to go against those four or five really

loud well that University Professor that got sacked last week because she said it as part of a lecture that men can't give birth to Children uh she was she was corrected and so that will actually trans men can give birth to children so you're not only wrong but you're also a [ __ ] bigot and you're sacked Jesus Christ um and the uh there was a the London Symphony Orchestra do auditions completely blind right the the adjudicator does not look at the musician just listen and they and they are no longer allowed to do that now what you're no longer allowed to listen because so far listening has led to mostly white people so now you have to look at them and you have to think are they a good musician but also are they a

minority are they a good fit for the culture interesting you think that that that that that the blind audition would be the best way to do it to get the best person in no because except that when you're listening you're also hearing someone's privilege that their parents were able to put them into music classes as a young someone with money is going to perform better and then not and then someone else might miss out on the opportunity on that basis interesting it's all very interesting y we'll figure it out in the end Luke will figure it out for us let us know what to do people just listen to me it' be much easier how would you how would you put together a an Orchestra Orchestra that's how I pronounce that word Orchestra wouldn't do it if you were going to play a symphony yeah what

kind of Orchestra would you put together a vion do it I've got I've got the music you want to hear on CD we just play that everyone will be happy yeah it'd be perfect every time yep no improvisation problem solved yeah so I guess I got excited about the Xbox again so [ __ ] the PS5 I guess is the takeaway from this they got me excited enough ghost of sushima is probably not going to entice me to buy a whole new console and learn a whole new controller that I've never used before although there is a mod you can get for it that makes it black and white so it's like you're watching an old kurasa Samurai movie and that's pretty cool some of these games come out on PC now anyway so I could like a lot of the actual Xbox games are going to start coming out on

PC as well hor is it horiz Horizon is it what's the PS oh The Horizon Dawn yeah Horizon Dawn yeah yeah yeah that came out on PC now oh and um death stranding did too which I'm pretty interested to try death stranding because it looks [ __ ] weird so um a game you might like um I've just recently played was carrying carrying just walking around stuff and moving it around carrying it just carrying c a r i y i n aost carrying carryon carrying I don't know no no you're right I don't if carry on made a game I'd play that it's like a a thinges game so you play this I'm looking at it monster that escapes from a lab and you have to go around and

you're killing everyone you're trying to escape and you're unlocking new powers I I turned on to play for like an hour just something to filter time I couldn't put it down I actually finished it this looks [ __ ] excellent it was so fun I actually want to go back and play on the Xbox one now to get the achievements there it's a good game this reminds me of I mean the the look of it is like a like a platform of Doom across with like the the first two dukee nuks yeah yeah you play like dead cells sort of yeah you played this big mon as sort of Metroid so you have to go and then you unlock abilities and you go back and I don't know there's just something about this game it's just fun I loved it good all right I'm proba I went to play for like an

hour I got good music in it too yes I enjoyed it I'm going to play this all right it's also uh Xbox game pass so is it oh so I can play it anyway y [ __ ] this looks great all right fck I got to get Game Pass all right been convinced yeah it's it's worth the money I think so it's worth the money for casual and hardcore Gamers cuz it has a huge mixture of everything hardcore hard cool I bought inside on Xbox a few weeks ago and played that it's very it's very good but I'm already bored of it oh which I think Luke is what you told me would happen yes yeah mhm cuz I started I started thinking to myself that there was just there was just no Indie kind of sidescroller games as good as that one year where like braid and limbo and all those

other games came out it was a great year for indie games um and then I saw so I bought inside and it is it's beautiful is it by the same people who made limbo or that I it is no it's their followup followup it's basically Limbo with a bit of slightly more 2 and a half D okay and uh a little bit more color yeah it's really interesting but it's only so long I can just run to the side you know sure haven't been playing anything this week play some stuff today I've been doing outside things like a weirdo that's so weird what happened to you get out in the sun and on a boat trying and not doing very well trying to wake

trying to wake board is wakeboarding and water skiing the same thing it's very similar one's on a Bo it's like like skiing and and U snowboarding I guessing right yeah it was I can water ski uh we took decet out on the boat for the first time does he like it uh I wouldn't say he likes it he doesn't he he's a he's a very uh very scared boy in general he's a he's a timid little boy and so we got him out in the boat he did not like it so much but he we had a little life jacket on him to you know keep him safe and then we has a life jacket too we stopped at one point and we were having a having having some boat drinks and uh and then I assume that's why you buy a boat Matt for boat drink trying to coax him to see if he would jump in the water because you know he

might like it he's never swam in his life he he he likes water he he walks in the water at the beach and or if you take him for a walk in this water he'll he'll run in it and he likes it but he he's never swam yeah yeah I don't think he understands what a lake is so right yeah he's in the boat and then we're like oh do you want to go in for a swim and he's like I don't know what you're saying he's just like being a happy dog and then Jenna goes to jump in gets on the side of the boat and then he climbs up on the side of the boat cuz he's like well I have to stay with my mom and then she jumps in the water and he immediately he's like okay and just like [ __ ] leaps in and then starts [ __ ] freaking out and uh to be extracted but

uh bless it's just so cute the way that he she jumped in he's like okay we're doing this if he wasn't scared to jump in he might get accustomed to it because Charlie loves swimming he loves the beach and he loves the pool did he get swimming lessons yeah yeah we took him to swimming lessons for several weeks in a row and he just did laps of the pool he loves it he exercise we just have to uh ease him into it I think this was a bit of a a bit of a shock to his system I just don't think it just didn't seem like he wasn't expecting it no cuz he just I think he was just expecting to walk across the water to to whatever so they don't have the imagination to like project of like what would this new substance feel like like oh she went under the water but I probably

won't she sank into that stuff I just walk on it yeah I'm sure she wanted to do that and I'll just choose not to yeah I definitely do not want to do that so anyway here I go jumping in yep oh God abought abought it's got terribly wrong [ __ ] got real mhm but he did seem to have a nice time and he he was [ __ ] exhausted afterwards was late by the time you guys got back home though that's cuz the boat stopped working Dan and we had to be towed back in boats tend to do snaps of you like you guys wakeboarding like in the brilliant sunshine and I was quite envious and then you when you finally texted me and told me that you had just arrived home I was like it is the middle of the [ __ ] night now yep yeah so the uh the boat just stopped working and uh it just

didn't didn't boat anymore correct the engine wouldn't start and so uh yeah like all Le we signaled we tried to Signal several people and I was very disappointed by the fact that we're flashing lights at them and then eventually because no one was doing anything yelling help like idiots and and then people were just driving off and we were like well [ __ ] you too I mean I've I've watched enough movies set in America to know that if someone is broken down anywhere you don't stop and help them because you'll be yeah yeah yeah but eventually a lovely couple toads back in to the boat ramp is there like a coast guard or someone you could ring there the water equivalent of NRMA yeah there's like uh the I guess the aqua police I just made

that up but yes because you see them they called that they do Patrol the lake we've seen them before and they pull people over for drink driving yeah yeah you're allow to drink and then if you don't have the the requisite equipment in the boat you also have to now wear you have to you have to wear life jackets within the boat wow you're supposed to yeah this is this is uh is a commentary mate but yeah I I assume the girls just wore bikinis because anytime I've seen a boat on television or in a film y um men men are clothed and women are just in bikinis I mean is that the was it yeah I mean we all had swimmers on so yeah MH mhm accurate I guess because of the implication that's that's right um Talk Amongst yourselves I have

to go pee all right okay before we Talk Amongst yourselves yeah staying in this is staying in there's an R2-D2 in his hallway though oh yeah what's it doing there do you do you remember I must have told you at the time but you might not remember but my mom's friends chipped in for her 50th and bought her an animatronic horse what yeah so okay so when my mom was a little girl she loved horses she learned to ride horses and stuff but she never owned a horse she's not like [ __ ] you know horses are that level thing they're expensive animals yeah um and at some point in her life she obviously told her friends I always wanted a horse so from that

moment on every birthday Christmas it was all horse gifts horse bed spreads [ __ ] horse ornaments for the wall you know just just [ __ ] stuff um yeah and then she didn't have the heart to tell anyone like I don't want this stuff I don't want any of it I don't like horses that much yeah I wanted to have an actual horse and ride it when I was a kid not be an adult and have a [ __ ] house full of horse memorabilia but anyway out of the kindness of their hearts me well-meaning hearts um for her 50th they bought her um an a one: one scale anim ronic Shetland pony what and um and this thing was terrifying and uh cuz I remember my sister was living there at the time and and she she put it like in the hallway or whatever and then

by the next day she went into the kitchen to make herself some breakfast and the pony had just trotted into the kitchen at some point during the night and she was like this thing has got to leave our [ __ ] house so it full size full well Shetland pony right so it's smallest of all I me it's pretty big though but yes but full siiz Shetland pony [ __ ] hell you feed it carrots and it was like if you like Pat it terrifying it like kind of went oh yeah like what yeah yeah robot horse yeah we were discussing the um the R2-D2 that your head obscures normally in the video Luke there's one he's just creeping in the hallway behind you it no no no there's a there's a big one a life-sized one in the hallway and

when you got up it looked like it just went into the hallway after you cuz we been watching this whole time yeah he does that when are you com to bed it's always nagging me Hannah's Dick's poking through it uh I've been uh I've been watching some stuff what have you been watching I've I've been watching I guess I've been on a Christopher Nolan kick cuz I uh you know I watched interstella and then U did I watch something after interstella I can't yeah you watch you watched half of uh Dunkirk Dunkirk yeah well this week I uh I went back and I rewatched Inception mhm and

it's so [ __ ] good yeah yeah that I'm like ah it's just so good it might be my I think it's my favorite of his films possibly one of my favorite films it's so good yeah we watched it a few couple of months ago yeah yeah it's just everything about it like the concept is great it's got all the little all these little details like it's not just an action movie it's also not just about the Dream Within A Dream thing it's got the stuff about his [ __ ] wife it's got like all the you know the stuff about um you know Killian Murphy's character and his dad like it's just it's just really good like on on lots of levels and just really well executed the stuff with the way the music is the it's a you know it's a French song I'm not

going to be able to pronounce it you know the one I mean I'm not going to pronounce it either that One MH slowed down because of the the way the dreams work oh God what a [ __ ] movie I saw somebody took all the slow motion scenes and sped them up to normal speed and put them on YouTube so that you could see how it would have actually looked like that van going off the bridge and everything oh yeah in real time which was really interesting because you know it's like such a drawn out moment in the in theil yeah there's always something to do with Nolan fil I remember my friend Vincent sat there for three months recutting momento into chronological order yeah yeah he's like that's I like Nolan for that at least he does like I I

saw a video about how he actually like the way he shoots everything is fairly straightforward he doesn't really do anything he's not a he he's not an interesting filmmaker from a the way he shoots things perspective right so in terms of process he's not proc camer he just points the camera at stuff and films it with like generally fairly natural lighting like and it's not particularly interesting but it's it's the story and the the way he plays with the the the editing almost like it's the editing and the and the layout of the film that's the interesting part not the look of it generally speaking I thought that was really he does do some stuff like even his action though his action is not particularly like you know he's know Michael Bay but

when he does film action he always does something like they flip the truck in the Dark Knight and then Inception had like the hallway fight but like it's not I don't know it's hard to explain iight is Iconic that's what I'm saying but it's it's it but it's also it's not like very stylized or anything it's iconic but he actually just filmed it and then they did it it wasn't like he wasn't trying to be tricky with the camera or anything like that or you know like Finch went through that period where he would shove the camera through [ __ ] everything keyholes and [ __ ] yeah yeah and like like Michael Ba's always got the camera attached to right up [ __ ] attached to whatever it is it's spinning so you can't tell what's going on like no one doesn't do any of that [ __ ] I've

only ever seen two of his moviesman movies uh The Dark Knight and the Dark Knight races you hav't seen begins no seen that what it's arguably the best one L we watch I watched the dark light with you guys before we went to see Dark Knight risers and it was also proed to Dave that the bike doesn't explode the car doesn't explode bike bike but yeah they I saw dark rises that's the only thing I've seen of his well [ __ ] me the best on yeah but they're not even the best Batman ones you got watch the pr you got to watch Inception to watch Inception you got to watch uh Moto's great I don't know if I'd like Inception no I think he would I don't I don't know that you can not like it here's what makes Inception good Luke

it's not an art housee movie it has all the Hallmarks of an art housee movie it has all the the visceral kind of Next Level brain [ __ ] from an art housee movie but it's a mainstream film like it's just a Hollywood movie if all Hollywood movies were this good you know what I mean like like if you don't want to engage with any of the more challenging aspects of it then you don't have to you can just watch [ __ ] the guys rolling around in a hallway upside down fighting fighting each other and don't worry about why that's happening build around I've just found it's on Netflix here so I will watch it this week and I'll do a review on next week's podcast please cuz here's my review it's might be the best movie my review so good I love everything about it I love the music and I love the

story The performances are great the look of it everything's great love it when does a death star blow up um is there a death star moment in it yeah there is kind of actually yeah yeah the there is snow Palace kind of quite a lot of stuff explodes all at the same time that's the point yeah what it explodes upwards from the from the bottom up exactly Matt his new film tenant uh when it comes out Luke and I will tell you how it is because it looks like you and America are going to be the last in the world to see it yeah because he is still holding out for that theatrical release but actually there's uh there's deals in place all over the world that actually say well you can't hold out we've we've bought it we've we've pre-bought it and you're going to

have to release it so if he holds strong in America it's going to get to the point where the rest of the world is going to going to see it first well all right I mean I wouldn't go see it in a theater here anytime soon anyway but I'm not I have no interest in this movie at all I don't know what the big deal about this movie is watch Inception and then get back to us theal SE mov yeah if you like Inception I feel like you'll probably understand what the fuss is about CU it's it's also another one that plays with time actually and interstella plays with time too yeah I they all do momento plays oh yeah even yeah D yeah you're right all of them yeah yeah good point thing I mean you know D Rises plays with time in the sense that he escapes from prison

instantly goes back to city like no time had passed I think the prestige doesn't but it plays with other it plays with something else yeah yeah yeah plays with space is it cloning I mean yeah just watch it just [ __ ] watch it just watch it understanding of it I used to go to bookstores and I used to asked my mom why some books the author's name was bigger than the title of the book cuz in movies that never happened you know what I mean yeah um but you you'd have like Michael kryon Michael kryon book and um I think Christopher Nolan is one of those directors there's very few of them Scorsese might be one Stanley cubric certainly was one where people will just go and see it because even Spielberg doesn't have that Spielberg makes a movie a year and people only go to see

the ones they think they like yeah noanie asked me the other day who directed that Munich movie and I was like spilberg yeah she's like really mhm yeah yeah we had a very similar thing with Minority Report last year was like have you seen a movie called Minority Report and I was like I've seen every Steven Spielberg movie but but but they're right because they don't get sold on the director's name they're just [ __ ] quality movies that just happen to be done by Steven Spielberg but nor player one quality movie oh God you know they're doing a sequel to that yeah he's WR the book's coming out soon because he announced it and everyone was like oh yeah all right then that's how I felt about it too yeah I think you're right I think

Nolan sells the movie Just with his name mhh you could just put up just Christopher Nolan four yeah people would go see it well Tarantino does that Taran eth movie yeah no speaking of sequels I I watched all the alien movies this week and I say all all of them I not quite all there's a lot of them there are a lot I didn't watch I didn't watch well there's alien there's aliens I watched both of them there's Alien 3 I watched that I didn't watch Alien Resurrection because I don't count that because it's got nothing to do with anything it's [ __ ] garbage I watched the first but not the second AVP and then I watched which which also so doesn't count but it does tie

directly into Alien 3 in some ways you're right yeah so I fig it's Canon and you have to do it and I watched Prometheus and alien Covenant as well and I watched all the short films that link Prometheus to alien Covenant okay and I still don't [ __ ] understand a lot of this franchise okay for a movie that has for a franchise that has so many movies now each movie adds something else to the methos that confuses me even more yeah so if we go maybe one of those things that each movie is actually just in another parallel universe so it's sort of the same different cuz yeah cuz the thing is okay if we go chronologically in in the order they came out not the order that they actually appear in because some of them

are PR right so alien yeah they find some eggs in an egg is a creature that hugs onto someone's face and PL something soal it lays it then well it does it lay an egg or does it give birth is it a mammal it gives birth to a live young of okay not the creature that's itself but the creature that birthed it yeah right yep y then okay that's already confusing then we do a sequel aliens I'm going to go out on a limb here and say this is probably the best sequel ever made sure this this aliens is to alien what Godfather 2 is to Godfather you know what I mean like it just takes it and goes this is awesome I can do better and it's just fantastic but now it's not just oh these

aliens lay eggs that this other creature comes out of and then impregnates you with a creature from the original now it's no no no only a queen and there's only one Queen lays the EG like an ant be exact okay so does that make it simpler or more confusing don't know then the third one comes in and they say actually it depends what animal the face hugger impregnates as to how the actual creature looks because it's an ox or a dog depending on whether you saw it at the movies or on video verion yeah um but it runs on four legs uh so it's different okay mhm all right so let's go back in time Prometheus comes out and says okay the same creatures that made human beings and presumably every life form on

planet Earth from their own DNA yes also cultivated a some kind of organic material that when put into someone's drink will will then make its way instantly into their seen and impregnate anyone they have sex with with essentially a face hugger yeah which only then created the original alien creature because the face hugger then impregnated one of the humanoid engineers and seemingly by fluke caused what we would call the xenomorph sure I wouldn't call it xenomorph we've had this argument before no no so I'm still I'm still conf I'm still confused I think one thing to

consider is that Ridley Scott does not give a [ __ ] about anything except alien well and his films so from reallyy Scott's perspective Prometheus is the prequel to alien and there are no other films yeah and an alien Covenant goes in the middle so there's one other question that I have and and and I'm sure you know this and I'm sure this is just something I missed I understand who Wayland is who is utani oh they never said because sometimes it's just the whan Corp and sometimes it's whan utani cor utani merged you meet three generations of wh if you include Bishop yes but I don't know who the [ __ ] utani is I think I think the idea is that the companies merged at some point but but at what point they've never gone well after Prometheus clearly but they never really

said yeah like between Prometheus and alien cuz it's actually no they don't even say the name of the company in Alien no they just call it the company the company as wh utani and um aliens so somewhere in between Prometheus and Aliens which is a good 100 years maybe yeah I'm also going to go out on a limb here and say that I think I prefer the theatrical cut of aliens to the special edition really okay there's some great scenes added back in the special edition um but I find the pace of the theatrical cut much uh more Dynamic and I think there's scenes you don't need you don't need to see The Colony before they arrive you just need to hear that there was a colony seeing nud seeing her family all of that no it kind of ruins the surprise too but I do like having

the the the the turrets firing for longer and stuff that that definitely need to be in yeah that's a great sequence and then they're like okay these turrets will get them but then they're clocking down and they're watching on the the counter going down towards and they're like we're going to run out of [ __ ] bullets before these things how many of them are there that's a great scene that definitely needs to stay in and the bit where um Hicks and Ripley kind of have their little look at each other like we probably [ __ ] if we both live through this that was but actually seeing that n was the same age in when the colony was fine to when the colony was overrun by aliens wed down the fact that I actually

thought she had lived there for [ __ ] years by herself oh sure you know what I mean and was months yeah but it also seem thing how long does it take to travel from Earth to there like a long not very long mate because that little girl didn't get any older to be in cryo sleep but plus they said that they'd be rescued in 17 days right right so it doesn't take that long I guess yeah so before they mention any that when all those little bits were cut out you just thought they got there and there's [ __ ] little girl living there by herself yeah I think you're right James C take notes get grab a pen mate that's right grab a pen and a vegan brownie get writing is he a vegan is he yeah he's a

[ __ ] he's a he's a Advocate oh he went on um you know Tim Ferris yeah he went on the Tim Ferris podcast and almost exclusively talked about vegan diets and how it's changed his life the all his sets are vegan now and they have um Al so he's not just a vegan he expects everyone else to be a vegan as well I don't think it's quite like that it's just that he's trying to show everybody he he is convinced that it is better for you it is like a like a lifestyle enhancement basically and so they every day on set they have like three meals and it's all this beautifully prepared vegan food and and then he reckons that that's why they're able to shoot for such long periods without people getting ill and like

being unhealthy and stuff is because they he's they're very strict with breaks and it's all this really healthy vegan food and the crew is just incredibly healthy look I mean there's something in that at a certain point I stopped eating meat on shoot days so I don't eat I don't eat meat when I'm shooting because meat kind of puts you in a little bit of a coma after you eat um if IAT ve then I can my energy level is is flat the whole day if I me Peak off I find that I don't know if this is just culturally though but if you're going to I mean I don't I'm not eating meat right now I sleen fish but I don't eat meat anymore but if I it's almost like you can be lazy if you're eating meat whereas if you're to to make a

vegan meal that's delicious takes some effort and it's going to be healthy because you can't really put any of the cheek stuff in yeah cuz that's all and it already eliminates any of the easy Alternatives ie fast food so you can't just go like if you're a vegetarian you can't just go just gra macers you can't do it there's nothing for you to eat there and and like you know they say the like a vegan vegan diets are healthy but also paleo is healthy do you know what the difference is both of them cut out [ __ ] garbage Foods it's not necessarily about just eating you know meat and vegetables just only eating vegetables and fruit or whatever it's just stop eating [ __ ] process junk well speaking speaking processed

foods I know Luke what if I told you that in a year or so you could eat at your favorite restaurant KFC and still be a vegan interesting because KFC have decided they're going to start 3D printing non-meat Alternatives which I don't know is a step forward or a step back honestly I don't know I um I would try these to be honest that be interesting I give them a go oh wait they're using chicken cells yeah it's artificial meat yeah yeah okay I'd still try this I it's it's not like uh when you go to the freezer section of the supermarket and you buy like corn vegan you know and it's I'm not going to go on about it cuz I'm not I'm not James Cameron but the reason I'm not eating meat is because

factory farming here in the US is very very disgusting to me and the quality of the meat is not great in general so I just don't do it but I would try this I would try this I we eat a lot of um not a lot of but we do eat some of the fake Meats like the impossible burger and whatnot M they're good yeah they're interesting I'm more likely to eat an impossible Burger than I am some protest protest processed tofu [ __ ] that I gone through phases where I've um eaten a lot of that stuff and I don't do it anymore uh yeah right I don't I don't I don't like the way my body has to go out of its [ __ ] way to digest it yeah tofu okay I like tofu I like the taste fair enough I wouldn't eat any more the the corn products CU i

q in I agree yeah cuz that's all um fungus completely yeah processed weird yeah it's very strange stuff but I age that anyway 3D printed nuggets yeah I'll try it yeah why not I don't know if I would want to eat KFC anyway but if you've seen how how McDonald's nuggets are made they're essentially poured into cookie cutter shapes uh and then set yeah yuck yeah cuz those nuggets they're all like they all look exactly the same there's no God that's so gross they're so delicious like real chicken nuggets which you can see which are different shap and sizes they're actually pieces of chicken what sauce do you guys get with with McNuggets I you always get oh you get must back in day when I back when I

still ate them sweet and sour I was always sweet and sour as well but over here in Asia they have curry sauce and it is [ __ ] delicious in fact we're trying to find a place that will sell us like a tub of it to bring back home just start shipping stuff back yeah bucket of do you guys is the bucket of chicken an American thing do you guys have never we bucket Australia we used to have chicken in Australia when I was young we used to have and I think they're back now really they're back I think sometimes you can actually get the bucket the just the word bucket is not something I want ass of Fri don't eat a bucket of anything exactly portions people I'm actually looking forward going back to

America just to go to Popeyes popy poy here man there's Popeyes here I love Popeyes come visit there's one in my house great I had it last week I had it last week I love popyes yeah I don't know it's nicer than KFC to me oh Popeyes is great plus you get the biscuits which is what they call scon but then also over in America you get the lemonade and I can buy a gallon of lemonade to go with my meal yeah man I can get you so much lemonade I just I love lemonade what about what about biscuits can you get me biscuits yeah you can get um bacon Home biscuits they're [ __ ] delicious it comes in a you have like the tubes of dough oh and you pop the tube open and then you bake them yourself [ __ ] delicious yeah I'm in that that's now I want to eat some [Music]
