clicking on things click yeah I'm I'm deliberately not clicking this week I've I've enabled the touch on my touchpad so you don't have to push down and also you have the loudest keyboard on earth oh well I'm sorry I've got cherrymx keys that are [ __ ] brilliant luk enabl touch once but the police put a stop to it yeah yeah they did she was way too young achievement six crime so you want to kick us off for the week Matt speaking of kicking I got a Kickstarter I got two Kickstarter updates we still talking about kickstar have they not shut that down yet if they didn't have enough reason to do it okay we've now got Kickstarter game developer squatting in a house in California why is he squatting go on well this he's developing a game an

indie game um which is apparently questionable whether whether he actually is developing a game anyway it doesn't seem to matter Matt or if he's just ripping people off they don't care kickstarters certainly don't care no but it turns out somehow somebody's pieced together that this guy on um booked a place on Airbnb to stay in in California for two weeks and then you know somebody's house yeah and then when the owners came back and said okay we're back and he went I'm sorry I live here now he claimed squatter's rights because he'd lived there actually did I say 2 weeks it's whatever is just yeah just long enough that legally it's questionable whether they can just kick him out that's the weird thing about Airbnb I remember once when I was going

to New York and uh the travel agent who was booking my flight said oh accommodation I said oh don't worry I'm just going to find Airbnb he's like I wouldn't if I were you sounds great but there's it's it's in that legal gray area where both sides can get [ __ ] yeah yeah apparently yeah they they there's now a legal thing and he's trying to sue the owners to say that that he's allowed to live in their house he now lives there yeah it's it's kind of [ __ ] up okay so now that the guy's proven that he's trustworthy let's hear about his Kickstarter well to be honest the kickstarter is the is the least interesting part of the story like it's a indie game and the only interesting thing about it is that it's probably not going to happen and he's now posting

updates saying um okay guys he wrote in the forums for the um the game it's called Confederate Express the game M what's the latest Deets on the drama 10 out of 10 wood squat again that was his latest update 10 out of 10 with squat again hey yeah so I guess he's No Remorse but this is his second game that he's made through Kickstarter right yeah did he actually make the first game I thought there was some question surely you can't Kickstart for a second game if you pocketed the funds of the first one without delivering anything Kickstarter could not allow that could they well I don't know I mean look what are the boundaries of Kickstarter Jesus Christ oh wait knuckle Club was the first Kickstarter

the new one is called Confederate Express okay these games exist Civil War game is it I'm looking for knuckle club now I found it sounds like a euphemism wait sorry project was the funding was suspended for that project never made funding it was hey D you ever knuckle clubbed with a girl oh I'm knuckle Club myself every night that's how I get D are in the knuckle Club aren't we buddy oh absolutely remember we knuckle Club the [ __ ] out those two people you never first figet the first time you initiated into the knuckle Club no you don't I presented Dave with his award he did he sure did I sure did so that's that's our first kickstar let's St this week all right the second one is is just hilarious um it was a

Kickstarter for some potato salad yeah uh a guy made a Kickstarter said he wanted to make some potato salad but he didn't have any money and uh he was asking for he needed like 10 he needed $10 he needed 10 bucks yeah he's now the kickstarter's finished and he's made $55,000 wow I'm just pissed off that I didn't think of it first see there's there's other Kickstarter like websites that tap you once you reach your goal that is that is the maximum you can get but clearly Kickstarter is not one of them well clearly not and he's now about to make a $55,000 potato salad y salad he haded he haded in stretch goals where you know like he's got to make more potato salad now and it's become a bigger he's having a party yeah so everyone can come and

it's yeah it's been called potato stock 2014 uh so yeah that's that's another Kickstarter success the opposite of the previous Kickstarter story isn't it exactly at least this one he made way he made way more money than he expected and so he's just going to deliver something even better point out has his has his potato salad been created yet Simon and Lewis he has if you're [ __ ] listening I want you to go and take a look at this potato salad Kickstarter and learn a thing or two about business okay I really think it's time for the multiple nerdgasm Kickstarter oh God okay we can try no I just don't want to be that guy posting on Facebook every day oh has everyone kicked in on my Kickstarter some good prizes no let's do it let's do a

Kickstarter let's the most asinine thing we can possibly think we don't need to all we need to do is raise money and then say look we tried but we're not going to make it anymore yeah essentially we're just going to flee people with their money so let's just um let's just come up with some [ __ ] idea no no no let's do a kickstar okay what are we going to Kickstart well obviously our listeners aren't going to kick in now that they know it's a sham yeah they will they're idiots yeah what are we going to what are we going to what is what is the um what is the product that we're presenting well what something that it would be impossible for us to make or a video game well that's fine with me let's tell them we're making a video game all right worst case scenario

episode of get smart right now you guys are you guys aware of the origin of the Apple Macintosh where they got the name Macintosh because I had always read that Macintosh was someone's favorite brand of apple right right now as far as I know that's a perfectly plausible story cuz their company was called apple and they brought out a new computer they named it after an Apple fine but I bring new evidence to the table I was watching get smart and in this episode they have a double code word so one agent says one part of it the other agent replies with the other part of the code word and they know that they're okay to chat about stuff the double code word is Apple

Macintosh oh huh this is from the late 60s interesting now could just be a coincidence no such thing but maybe not you know so I'm hypothesizing now that the Apple Macintosh the Mac is after an old episode of get smart well you know if Steve Jobs wasn't so stupid and ignored his cancer and thought he could cure it with fruit um maybe he'd be around to answer you yeah maybe we can get him on the show maybe we can um let's let's do a Kickstarter let's do a Kickstarter to uh get a Ouija board and some of the spirit jobs and find out can we please do that can we please you what that's our Kickstarter all right we need 50 we need ,000 is the kickstarter to

yeah um and he's not he's not having sex with them he's not yeah that's right and he he is cutting some of them up for monkey meat that's right wait we've gotten from we've gotten from a bowler to eights again how did we get here how do we get back here yeah we weird weird but yeah so um yeah a bit scary but uh you know I think it's prob I think people in the states are probably fine just I don't know aola people in the states there's a fuckload of Africans that suddenly have AA no and that it terrifies me aola just from watching all the tv specials on it when I was a kid and and just you know just convulsing and spraying blood everywhere is is just not you know it's not on my bucket list really yeah yeah

so um yeah well best of luck to um Dr Kent Brantley names now is currently infected with a Bowa you know can I just say if I was a doctor and someone around me had a bowler I'd be like nah hypocritic Earth [ __ ] this I'm going i' don't want to get a bow you're on your own yeah yeah like it's almost impossible to treat and there's such a high infection rate and if you do get it you you more than likely going to die what it about 90% of people who contract it die no I don't to throw out such a high statistic but it's very high this particular strain is only about 50/50 because I was going to say I think it's 5050 it's a different strain this one but apparently highly contagious but only about a 50/50 mortality rate bleeding from every orifice not pleasant

Dave you and I have uh often gone to the Opera bar here in Sydney um yes far as saying it's it's one of our one of our favorite spots it is it is a beautiful part of the city we go there for drinks and Ambience but we haven't eaten at the restaurant together yeah have you have you eaten there in the past uh I don't think so I ha there once I wasn't too impressed uh if I could describe the food in an abstract way I would say that it's um both too flavorsome and not flavor enough at the same time okay if that paints you a picture why can you can you just you just go back and just say that one sentence again cuz I I didn't really register with me yeah y too flavorsome and yet somehow not flavorsome enough interesting yeah um but someone who was

there over the weekend uh celebrity uh and that would be porn star James Dean you familiar with his work yeah yeah so James Dean was in Sydney for seow over the weekend asked around of what the kind of one of the nicest night spots in Sydney was everyone told him it was Opera bar he went out there um had a couple of drinks but um also made the mistake of eating at the restaurant and I'd like if I may to um read you a direct quote from his blog okay okay okay this is James Dean on Opera bars restaurant I'd rather have someone with dentry [ __ ] into my eyes while I'm forced to listen to Hansen on repeat and sing Creed I'd rather lick the inside of a glory hole than have any of this [ __ ] excuse for food food is

in quotes into my mouth ever again I'd rather send dickpics to my Rabbi then he gets specific and says my steak tasted like salt that someone had pissed meat juice onto so uh yeah we then he he finishes by saying we actually had to leave and go to a different restaurant while I cursed their very existence and took off my pants I'm not quite sure why that happened but he is a porn star yeah I think he's contractually obliged to do that hands down the most God awful Eatery in the existence of the universe okay I'm just going to take a guess here I'm guessing the Opera bar isn't a cheap

place to eat at no it's not totally high-end but it's not Cheap Eats no it's not 55,000 for a potato salad though that's right that's not the cost of the potato salad that's the profits you make making a salad yeah Oho thumbs down from jam and if anyone doesn't follow James Dean's blog I recommend it it's definitely not safe for work and most of it just porn but quite a lot of it is just pictures of his cats and just hilarious musing is on life from the point of view of someone who has a completely different world viiew to you wow that sounds awesome yeah well you know what I found exciting and I didn't think I was going to find it as exciting as I did was uh [Music] Destiny uh the beta was uh I don't know how long ago was it it's a week ago now

yeah uh and it was really good I really liked it well 4.6 million people had to go oh big thank you for Bungie for opening it up to everyone so they can actually test it out with full server Lo a we could just could have pretended we just got access Luke I'll give you a full servero he didn't have to say that but uh never mind what I was in it before they opened it up all right fine I'll open you up but yeah I wasn't you know like I'm not a big fan of Halo uh it's it's all right but um mat I just want to say if John Halo ever heard you say that he would be devastated I know I I think he just take it on the chin and keep going yeah I don't think he gets upset like that he doesn't care what other people think doesn't he well

he does he cares what Cortana thinks well she's dead whoa who spoilers spers Jesus [ __ ] I haven't played Halo 4 what the [ __ ] what thanks a lot dude so I'm assuming that I'm the only person who hasn't played this destiny the destiny beter yeah yeah you could be the only person on the planet at this AG yeah it yeah well quarter of the population of this country played it oh you could have actually yeah I just realized cuz it's on it was on 360 as well I played it on Xbox One um and but I mean is this going to be like is this going to have crossplatform no no no right so you guys are all going to be playing on on your X bones so I can't participate anyway Dave's not he hasn't got one no I don't have an expone

but I was playing the Destiny Beta so what do you think happened there you had a PS4 yes I did how did you acquire your PS4 well I um woke up on my birthday and I had an email from my brother he said check your bank account so I did and there was uh $500 in it and then he I went what the hell and he went go buy a peaceful so I did you should have bought an Xbox One and just sent him the change [ __ ] the mid-level hooker level sent him a little cheeky picture saying thanks for the birthday present all right well that's a pretty good gift I'm not going to lie to that let's go around and um let's all talk about what our brothers gave us for our birthdays my my brother gave me uh nothing for my last birthday Matt what' your brother

give you for your last birthday I can't remember yeah Luke don't even have a brother so definitely missed out looks like you're ahead Dave yeah yeah well ahead thanks SP did you listen to the podcast is your brother a fan uh I think I think we'd annoy him wouldn't we with our in chatter I've never actually asked him to listen to it I'm pretty sure he would be annoyed by us we always used to annoying it would be surprising that I don't see why that would have changed yeah yeah yeah but I me also like if he listened to the podcast he'd find out that I I sneak into his house every night and drink his apple and black current berry juice he he's never found out cuz I always replace it with an identical apple and black current berry juice Dan

there's always something about their environments that's that's really interesting even when things were really low poly back in the old you know Halo uh one and two days they managed to get so much out of of systems that you just you just look at it and you think it feels like a real place and I I really felt that about uh the Destiny Beta I thought that that where you were um in Russia felt like a real place like it it had been lived in it had been worn and um it was exciting to explore I really really enjoyed it I thought graphically it's not uh Beyond The Pale but it is stunning in its own way um I thought it was a really beautiful game and and the game play was fantastic it it it it basically took all the best bits about Borderlands and got

rid of all the stuff that was crap about Borderlands um I just had I had a great time exploring and uh I really like the mythology and just just the chance to to see Venus and to see Mars to travel to the Moon is going to be awesome like I literally can't wait like space is my thing love the [ __ ] out of the solar system and being able to explore it is going to be fantastic cuz that was always disappointing to me in Mass Effect like you couldn't actually go to any of the planets except Mars dve have you been Hing this whole time not knowing that we've come off two calls since then we've come off what sorry we Skye got disconnected a whole bunch of times so and we've [ __ ] I can't get Luke back now are you there hold that did you see any of that no you dropped out oh I'm

not going through that again I've still got got the recording I just okay just guys um not in agreement hello hey did everyone else drop yeah yeah cuz I I literally wanted a huge rant about Destiny and I'm not going through it again so yeah yeah see I always found Halo a bit boring personally and I know I'm in the minority because it was a not on this podcast it's 50/50 well look in all honesty though Matt bung you were terrible about telling Halo story like I was a huge fan just because of the Covenant and their religious War which I found really interesting I'd never seen it aliens done that way um that's why I got really heavily into you know all the external stuff the books and all that stuff so when I played the game I

implicitly had PR knowledge about lots of other stuff that just wasn't conveyed in the story it's a very confusing game if you don't know the the backstory and the law like it doesn't really make much sense I played through one two and three and I couldn't tell you what the story was I have no idea cuz I just didn't i' never captured my attention it's like oh go from here to there and shoot the stuff in between okay yeah I never really followed the story but um destiny I found really interesting like visually and and also uh there's you can tell it's bungee cuz it's got a lot of Halo in it like the the way the drop ships are literally the same as Halo and um and the way the enemies are grouped AI with you that's following you around there's that yeah and you've got like

like when you see enemies there's like the little one and a big one you know what I mean or a couple of little ones and a big one it's just feels very Halo I'm sure it'll I'm sure that evolves but see this is the strange thing cuz I'm a huge Halo fan but I didn't really like the Destiny Beta that much really yeah I don't know um I know that they're saying you can play it single player but there was a lot pushing me towards playing with people right and I don't know if that's what was putting me off or see I I found I I played mostly by myself and just ran around doing the quests and then there was a point where I'd basically forgotten that it was you know multiplayer and a a kind of a an event

occurred where this container appeared and the AI said oh you should check that out and I went over and put some buttons on it and then all of a sudden these enemies started coming in I was like oh [ __ ] there there's too many of them I can't do anything but then all these other players started running over and helping and I was like this is awesome yeah like there were like 10 or 20 of us all fighting all these enemies I'm like this is great and then it finished and we're all like all right see you like everyone sort of went their separate ways got on H bikes and away they went yeah on our missions I like it I really liked it I'm looking I'm going to get it when it comes out and I'm hoping I enjoy a bit more then but one thing I found myself doing a lot was

dancing just a lot of dancing every time I could okay you never played World of Warcraft did you no no you would have got that out of your system if you had oh okay but um yeah I pre-ordered it on the weekend because uh I liked it so much yeah I just I I I thought that it it it the Gunplay was a lot of fun the thing I don't like about Borderlands was that the shooting mechanic was just bad I really didn't like Borderlands yeah yeah see I do I I do like Borderlands and this this definitely feels like Borderlands meets Halo meets Guild Wars 2 that reminds me play Borderlands again no I Borderlands is terrible I can't play it now after Destiny I just can't I like Borderlands yeah it just it's the gun play is just

[ __ ] it's not fun the guns in Destiny felt powerful and they did something I definitely agree with that yeah the the rifle that you start with even felt it felt good like I was reluctant to let it go cuz I I I um I that [ __ ] gun yeah so I actually found I could use a sniper rifle in that game though I never use a sniper rifle yeah yeah no I I really liked it so um yeah well hopefully I don't know Bungie said they apparently there's not a technical limitation like with the crossplatform stuff but they chose not to do it because um there's always that thing about which platform is Superior and they just want to stay out of all that and I don't know if that's true or

if that's just well there can be slight variances like if you're using say for example I hate the PlayStation controller right but the PlayStation 4 controller is awesome they finally fix the analog sticks and um they're not Giant Circles that you can't clip into anymore that they're they're they're concave instead of convex oh I saw that yeah yeah yeah so they they work a lot better um it's uh yeah it's a really good controller but I don't know why they don't just give us the option then like to be honest I don't care if the controller gives you an advantage as long if if it means we get to play together like [ __ ] whatever like we're not it's not we're not playing against each other anyway it's like well

there is there is Deathmatch modes and all that kind of stuff in there which I did play a bit of and it's ter I can choose I can choose well why not give us the option say I want to go into Deathmatch do you want to play against people on the PC who will just headshot you or do you want to just play against Xbox One people and I'll choose like I don't know seems like I don't know I just want question whether they it's in their best interests to say that rather than say oh it's because Microsoft and Sony weren't letters yeah you know what I mean it's not in their best interest to say that yeah but um I guess I guess while we're on the subject of it um you guys have anything to add about the beta uh no I didn't get to go to the Moon um because they unlocked that they

unlocked that and I didn't notice I didn't realize that it appeared because they unlocked it I thought I unlocked it oh that was in single wasn't it yeah yeah no I didn't get the single player Moon Endeavor I think we were all in bed when that when that actually came out okay I played a deathmatch game on the moon but yeah I was a little shocked that there there was no gravity on the moon like as in like there was no moon gravity as in very little it was just normal I was like I heard a lot about a lot of complaints about that yeah yeah I don't know I'm sure they've come up with some [ __ ] story um to explain why that's the case but um wouldn't they just say it was half terraformed or

something I think they probably just said it's a game shut up and play it they went do you know how hard it would be to change the physics just for this one part of the game [ __ ] off yeah yeah um but you'll be happy to know Dan it's not floaty Halo micho physics where you jump and you're in the air for 10 seconds um it's all literally um it's it's very uh very earth-based very Earth grounded well you know probably helps you an eight foot tall giant robot too so how did you play robot as well no no no I just mean it as in that's that's what the master chief is he's like a giant 8ot tall Android guy which is why what you guys play as in the beta um a uh uh chick um of course yeah I I I played as a female human well there's a

lot of third person stuff I don't want be looking at some dude's ass you're like a reverse transvesti both of you God I played as a robot male or female one Joe I think that says a lot yeah you're a robosexual they they both played as women and I played as a robot you pansexual [ __ ] cuz he looked my robot looked [ __ ] badass but I is always that if I have to look at the character a lot I want to be female I to look at a female character that a male character yeah but I mean it's still a cartoon yeah right just a sexy cartoon um but I guess while we're on the subject because I I got a I obviously got a PS4 now um yeah I'm curious to I'm curious to hear your

initial thoughts too look look Jesus I was I'm really impressed by it um it's it's an elegant looking system just physically uh the controll is great um you're a robosexual as well yeah it just it just has this I don't know it's it's the games cuz I got PlayStation um Plus Membership now as well and there's so many free games you get with it it's just ridiculous um so I've just got heaps on there to um you know to to play free PlayStation 4 games or PlayStation 4 games and you can play um a lot of uh PS v and all that other stuff and here's the best thing about it I can literally lie in bed and play watch Doge on my PS Vater which is pretty cool that's pretty cool yeah if it was a good game it would

be cool well I um I started playing it cuz it came with the PlayStation um and I'm probably about 3 hours in all I have really done is hacked all those Towers M um because I like doing that kind of stuff so I've just been hacking Towers I haven't actually really even touched the campaign missions at all um yeah right what I find Strang is though is that you know I meant to be this awesome video Landy protecting the city and I've killed a lot of civilians yeah I've run over a lot by I always whenever I get involved in a highp speed chase like the cops are after me or whatever and I'm running down people I like to yell look what you made me do exactly and I shot a lot of cops too and I just think yeah it is they don't make out that the cops are bad at all no I so I feel like I'm not

really a vigilante so much as just a [ __ ] Thug Like a criminal you're a dick yeah yeah so I it failed on all fronts in terms of immersion for me um yeah look and the hacking mini games are just dull and it's it's it's yeah it's just not a very good game um I got the new Kill Zone as well um I like the uh Killzone 2 and three I I quite enjoyed those on the PlayStation 3 uh this one uh you know it's kind of interesting because it's basically a sort of Israel Palestine situation so you've got these two opposing factions that are you know so just bombing hospitals yeah yeah and the the the amount of disgusting things that Bo sides will do um to gain the upper hand like eating poop and stuff I don't know where that I don't know where that came from then you don't

know anything about the conflict Dave oh sorry I thought we were talking about jackass my bad right so go on go on ignore me um well it's it's fun uh it's graphically stunning um not a great game though not a great game but um like I said before I even got any of these consoles I always said look there's nothing going to be nothing good is going to be worth playing on these things until you know uh September yeah pretty much yeah well I just um while we're talking about games I briefly fairly briefly I played through the beginning and the start section of uh Batman Arkham Origins uh and quick question before you get started yes is that my copy yes okay

so I know where it is then continue yeah yeah you lent it to me and well because I didn't want to buy it because everyone said it was bad it was like that it was it was not a good game um however so far I'm still really enjoying it so I'm just waiting for it to become [ __ ] um and I'm wondering whether maybe everyone else's expectations were just higher or something cuz so far it's it's fine it may have just been that a lot of us were just expecting it to be as good as the last two okay well I'm not really sure what's not was good about it yet but I guess maybe haven't gotten that far into it but it just seems like the same thing so I guess I don't know I know a lot of people's complaints with it it was like it was a bit silly that only the cops and um criminals were out on the streets

and that only um Batman already had equipment that he shouldn't have had because he only got it in Arkham City which happens later in the timeline all this kind stuff I don't care about any of that stuff the game I just want to be Batman yeah the game's pretty fun so far so yeah well I just think it wasn't as good as the other the other two so that's just got universally panned but the new one that's coming it looks amazing so oh it does I cannot wait to drive the Batmobile nope looks awesome that does look pretty good uh I'm looking forward to that all right so uh anyone uh you seen any good movies lately I saw a great movie well I mean I've I've noticed that

there's a there's a huge marketing campaign that's uh that's trying to tell me to go and see this movie and it's one of those instances where I feel the ads are assuming I already know what it is and it's the same thing that happened when the Hunger Games movies come out and it's like your favorite book is now a film and I've was like never heard of The Hunger Games you know like i' never heard of Harry Potter before that [ __ ] movie came out and um and yet suddenly I can't go past a bus stop or turn on the TV or sit down in a movie theater without some Distribution Company telling me that Guardian of the Galaxy is now out and I should already know what this is and be excited about it so can somebody please explain to me what the [ __ ] Guardians of the Galaxy is and

why I should care ah I'm out of comic book films man I'm going to let Matt handle this Guardians of the Galaxy is a comic book series of by Marvel um and it's I've literally never heard of it no that's fair that's fair I read comic books it's not one of their their kind of big you know bigger well-known ones I guess m um but it's a bit more Goofy and um pulpy I guess right than than the other Stu well I guess that's not fair that's why it wasn't on my radar I don't know it's uh it's a bit sillier cuz I'll say the trailer looks awful really I haven't I don't know if I watched Traer love the trailer do you do you do you know do you were aware of this property before you saw the trailer no I I knew of raccoon

yeah Rocket Raccoon yep that's about it I didn't know about anything else but I do remember Rocket Raccoon cuz I saw I saw this trailer and I I was speaking to some friends who saw the trailer too who were asking me because they assumed I would know what it was and I literally didn't and I'm not being factious I've never heard of this yeah but um yeah this looks like like a slapstick comedy version of The Avengers yeah it kind of is it's but good yes yes it's really and I'll tell you what um it's directed by James gun and I don't like James gun and I didn't know that it was directed by him and then when it came up at the beginning and said directed by James gun I was like oh

[ __ ] I'm I'm probably I'm worried I'm not going to like this now but no it's [ __ ] awesome it's hilarious and fun and Goofy and yeah it's just it's just really cool it's it's about a kid who is taken away from Earth in the 80s yeah um by in a spaceship and becomes kind of like a Han Solo style Rog like fly to the Navigator no no no no no because he he doesn't come back oh yeah but I mean as like he just gets taken by an alien intelligence or uh no no no no no no no not like I don't want to give anything away but he basically he gets picked up in a by a ship and taken away and becomes a space Adventurer space kind of Rogue Han Solo kind of character and

then gets caught up in this big universe saving mission that ties into the Avengers and it ties into all the other movies and stuff and it's it's just really cool and fun and it's got um yeah there's a little raccoon Rocket Raccoon who's not actually raccoon he's a genetically modified person who looks like a raccoon he doesn't even know what a raccoon is um and uh it's got um Peter S is in it briefly but uh he's only got a bit part but I love him so he's the king of the bit part yeah he's great in this this just it's just so stupid and funny it's great it's like I don't even know how to explain it like it actually took me a little bit to get into the the kind of humor of it because I even I wasn't expecting it to be do they explain some of the characters a

bit in what way about like where they come from that tell you any who anyone is no well Flying Blind the whole time they they do what but what do you mean exactly well I just know that like in The Avengers they like with black widow there was no explanation of her it was just expected that you knew who she was well okay that's because she's been in the earlier films and they kind of assume you've seen them but the in this yeah I mean they explain I mean you know who who Star-Lord is the main guy and you know why do you know who he is because you see him when he's a child and what happened oh right and then you see yeah I mean yeah you learn about everybody cuz I was going to I was meant to be going to see it tomorrow night only to find out that when you went to see it it

was an early Advan screening oh was it okay doesn't actually come out to this Thursday okay yeah I I thought I saw it said that on the on the site but I was like oh whatever I just bought the tickets by the time you're hearing this it will be well and truly out yeah but yeah no I recommend Day episode it's very funny it's got um well I don't want to spoil the joke but it's it's not it's not that big deal you probably you'll probably see it on it's got the top billing for the film is Vin Diesel um who plays a character of a of a tree well I scoff Dan no no the Vin Diesel he plays he plays like a humanoid tree who can only say the words I am Groot and he's got top billing well I think that's probably pushing Vin Diesel's acting shops to its very limits

so I just thought that was hilarious in itself like the very first thing you see is starring Finn diesel and then yeah he literally only says one thing in the whole movie that is funny I mean usually he just says his own name over and over but yeah Matt Damon yeah and it's like I don't know of goofy jokes cuz I'll be honest from the trailer I thought it like if it came up to that or another [ __ ] stupid Transformers movie I'd probably go Transformers over it but it's more like Galaxy Quest than it is like Star Wars yeah no I think I think I'd rather see Guardians of the Galaxy than a [ __ ] Transformers film well to ask him about this H will Dave like this movie he might just because it's so doesn't it doesn't take itself seriously

at all like it is what it is and and more so than kind of say you know like you know like you watch Captain America and it's it's played straight this is not it's not played straight at all there's exactly like they they fire and slide around on the ground to get away from obstacles like he'll shoot and shoot backwards with the when the guns shoot and stuff like that it's like it's silly you know what I mean in that way yeah sounds fun sounds fun yes exactly yeah that's what I'm trying to say and yeah like I said a lot of the jokes are great it's um yeah it's it's really good like it's just it's it's a good fun movie good fun goofy space adventure all right I'll be going to see that yeah well like I said if you like a good fun goofy space adventure you'll

love it and if not then Peter sarap finck dies at the end you know if we had a TV show like David and Margaret it would literally just be every week us going yeah it was good you should see it or it was terrible to be fair though David and Margaret don't go into much more detail than that well David and Margaret I mean at least have some sort of you know something substantive to say about each film and and the director and and all the actors it's true but they rarely agree and David has his kind of really specific taste and Margaret has her really specific taste there's very little overlap and it's mostly just her going were we watching the same movie and him going well I liked it four stars well I hated it one star yeah make it sound like a

[ __ ] [ __ ] you for our um overseas fans you don't know who David and Margaret are so just um they're the cisc and eird of Australia there you go yeah we don't have any overseas listeners we do I'm not convinced we have any listeners that don't work at Matt's work quite honest I'm not sure I'm not sure our Chinese listeners know who any of those people are yeah dear God hopeless Chinese listeners all I can say is H hang SE what does that mean that's only because that's the only thing I know how to say in Chinese what does it mean nice to meet you right I bet you say it in way that just it doesn't sound like you're saying nice to me almost positive it doesn't yeah for our Japanese

listeners multiple uh for our Irish listeners suck a dick and download our [Laughter] podcast well I've got uh I got a quick update um we talked recently about comicy and how Amazon bought it and everyone was complaining about it because they took the well you did that I did I did I did I complained as well but I didn't complain so much about what they changed I just complained about the fact that they changed things I don't I didn't have a specific beef you just decided to have a winge no no no but like I my complaint was I'm paying for a service right and then all of a sudden the service completely changes and that

that you know that bothers me cuz I'm like that's I was paying for something it's a bit like life isn't it it is a bit no no no but it's like if you went out and bought a bunch of books and then somebody turned up at your house and said oh we have to take the books back we've changed the way the books work like you know that would that make me a bit uncomfortable you know but people were angry because they took away inap purchasing on iOS and and all that kind of business and I said at the time hopefully it's because they're going to do things like bundles and subscriptions and uh and all that kind of stuff and it is and they have and not only that they've done you can download DRM free backups of everything you buy on there

now right so I mean thumbs up I I I take back everything that I said and I'm I'm now very happy that that they got bought out because yeah you can go on there and you can buy uh well for example right now Guardians of the Galaxy uh you can go on and buy a bundle of Guardians of the Galaxy books and you know like a collection of 10 to 20 books you couldn't do that before because on the iOS store they would have to [ __ ] around and submit you know changes and inap purchasing stuff and and [ __ ] around and pay percentages and all that kind of business whereas now they can just say oh here's a bundle of 10 comics for five bucks or whatever oh yeah uh and then yeah you can subscribe as well so if you want to read Batman every month you just

click subscribe and then every month you get Batman like it's it's pretty good and and I should say Marvel and DC you can't download the backups yet they're working on that I read a comic book this week um just out of the [ __ ] blue decided that I wanted to read the first Batman comic uh Detective Comics Number 27 so I tracked it down uh online obviously uh because I don't have a I don't have a million plus dollars to drop on a [ __ ] comic book but um I read the the first ever Batman and I've got to say if that [ __ ] came out today Batman would not have become the popular hero that he is known worldwide that's uh that is some sh comic yeah yeah yeah yeah um I was reading uh I don't know Dan I'm probably just gonna ask Dan

um are you familiar with the Poetry or syia um not not in any detail NE neither was I neither was I so I thought I would I would get a book and explore um wow wow that uh that woman could write sir um I I highly recommend you uh you embibe some of her wisdom is that euphemism yeah why did you say it like well you know what I'm going to invive some of her wisdom um on the same Ouija board that we'll use to um talk to Steve Jobs I'm pretty excited about this I really hope it works no we're really doing this F Matt you need to come up with okay here's my only concern about this right don't bring your concerns I think this is a great idea and I want to

do it except except every Kickstarter that you have that you hold uh stays on there right so if we ever want to do another one it's going to have the previous ones on there so I think we do want to put a little bit of effort into making this successful well I we we really should do it get we should not do this unless we're willing to literally do it yeah yeah that's exactly what I'm saying I am in I want to do it properly okay I'm in okay well if we do it I'll obviously I'll arrange the we need to shot pitch video we need to shoot a pitch video that's fine for the kickstarter Luke when when you coming down next let's let's tag something in there sh I don't think I can do this weekend I might be able to do next weekend I need to check with work all
