friends of our like the awesome addiction who started after us and then I'm I'm like oh they're way past 100 already you know what I'd like to do i' like to say big thank you to Jenna ah yeah I think she's the reason why we really gotten there this fast yeah that's true that's true well yes thank you Jenna well I'm not going to say thank you because I've actually emailed and thanked her after every single edit she's done so I'm just a jerk well bit late to the party but uh you know that's your style isn't it yeah how I do it well I thank her all the time as well because I'm sure she does she does a little more than editing for you Matt or she does a little more than editing for all those because she does the tweets and

did have uh a lot of packages just left on the doorstep which annoyed me because I'm I'm like don't don't do that please yeah I'm using the parcel Locker now I'm finding that really good oh what is that it's something the post have got instead of having a p which you got to pay for I've got a parcel Locker so they've got places set up around where I just give this address so if I'm on eBay or anything I give my past Locker address and it goes to the distribution center and then it just goes into a locker there it might be a different Locker every time right and I just punch in my details and it pops open and I get my package um and why didn't you give out that address instead of your home address just quietly I'll pause while you realize that Matt has a point um

um yep um I might go and find that address oh there is no wabby way I told you there's no wabby way interesting that's really odd there's no wabby way there's no wabby way that's saying that's just the saying we have down here in Australia yeah speaking of sayings yeah sort of um Christian Bale has come out and said that he's kind of feeling a little jealous that everyone is talking about Ben Affleck being Batman and uh and kind of saying that he kind of thought maybe they would ask him to continue doing it evidently they didn't um and then somebody was interviewing Michael Keaton recently short list magazine were interviewing him and they asked him if uh he ever felt jealous that other people played

Batman and his response is pretty awesome he says and I quote no and you know why because I'm Batman and I think that's uh that's all you need to say really when you're Michael Kon look he was great as Batman Christian Bale Chris Bell was good in the movies they were you but his Batman voice got a little ridiculous after the while but yeah like he Keaton was just excellent as Batman and he he is the um he like I think of Batman I think of that Batman no think of Adam West yeah well that's true too doesn't surprise me okay I'll got an Adam West story but show off that for a sec because I want to still talk about Michael Keaton's Batman for just a but sure I watched the old Batman recently the old Batman I'm talking about Batman

away for quite a while right y Alfred will show you to the door Alfred's showing her out right yeah and she goes oh I have fun on your trip and Alfred goes we're not going on a trip Vicky then instead of realizing he suspiciously says we're never going on a trip ever we're always here ma'am we'll be here quite some time yeah in other words you have been lied to my friend so instead of taking that as a hint right she decides she wants to see him again anyway she calls he won't return the calls she tries to get in he doesn't answer the door she then follows him and takes pictures of him they've met once twice they've met twice now yeah once at a party and once where she got drunk and he [ __ ] her right she's now literally stalking him and taking photos it has

gone well above and beyond her newspaper out which she is now abandoned and we know this because Alexander KNX is like why aren't you working on this with me anymore and she's like I've got things to do so it's not an article right she she's like by the way I need you to now look into this instead like why why why is he in this Alleyway cuz she takes photos of him putting the flowers down yeah and she convinces Alfred to let her into the Batcave right right where she comes in and he's sitting there and he says to her I don't want to do this all right and she just doesn't let it go and as a kid I did afterward he was said Alfred Alfred what the [ __ ] did he talk about please do not bring psycho

stalker [ __ ] down into the Batcave y Alfred you can't keep doing this yeah what have I told you I [ __ ] her once and then tried my absolute hardest to get rid of her and ignore her we now have to kill her Alfred the last in no way if you're describing Vicky veil's character could you call her Batman's girlfriend or Bruce Wayne's love interest at all no at best you can describe her as someone he slept with and then tried to forget about cuz then in the second one she's not there anymore and Selena Kyle asks him about it and he says Ah it didn't work out yeah that's right and that in itself is an overstatement I wonder how many people he's actually done that with

well I think um I find it interesting just because it's so elaborate when really there really only to make the one point that they've made in this review it's um yeah CU realistically the only Sasquatch news is either going to be there still isn't a Sasquatch or holy [ __ ] there is one all right so two gentlemen Daniel Falconer and Phil polling have written up a Critical examination of the Todd Standing Sy video subjects now Todd Standing is a very famous um Sasquatch Yeti Hunter and he claims toist yep he he claims to have encountered these creatures in the wild many times and he's got video footage of them and um he he insists that this is real and these gentlemen have done an extensive video analysis on um on these

photos and this footage and then I mean it's it's really in depth like they compare the eyes and and eyelid shapes of various um apes and humans and like like the the facial expressions like they've got pictures here of human squinting and versus you know these pictures of the Sasquatch and uh and the way the hair on the Sasquatch compares to the hair of like an flocked animal like a cat all that kind of stuff is very in-depth but really I think it's only the section on video 5 that is sort of essential um um and because I mean if you look at what they've got here they've got a picture of the

Sasquatch as provided by Todd Standing and then a picture of Todd Standing and then they've kind of done a little morph and um and it's it looks an awful lot like they're the same person yeah um the Sasquatch appears to be Todd Standing dressed as a Sasquatch that's right in fact and their their analysis of this point um is I just love the way they've written this uh a curious feature of video 5 is its resemblance to Todd Standing himself yeah yeah which is an understatement they've been very um scientific about it and um they're you know like they're not having a go at him in any way they're just presenting this information um but really this look I mean they've they've gone into a lot of detail tell I mean I've seen this video

too but my response uh was just to go n it's [ __ ] and move on to my life but these guys have taken it one step further and done hours and hours of work on it yeah and I mean it's kind of conclusive really um it's [ __ ] yeah so if I if you needed any kind of right I just think it's amusing I mean I I I haven't read the whole thing because there's a lot here and I didn't need to be convinced but um I did find in particular the um the video five comparison where it's it's him in a suit yeah I just love this phenomenon that people are just so obsessed with proving the existence of things that just plain don't exist yeah know you know what I mean like there's no reason to think there is a Sasquatch

so why are you wasting your time like the animals that do exist we know about they exist should probably pay more attention to those animals CU they're disappearing and trying to find something that doesn't exist so soon we'll be having to hunt down I don't know what's animals going to be extinct look you You' feel like a panda for example yeah yeah you'd feel so much more fulfilled at the end of your workday if you were one of these guys that had to prove the existence of an animal and you chose I don't know a badger you know what I mean because you actually could prove it and it wouldn't just be day after day after day for an entire life going home to your wife and going no I still couldn't

prove it no haven oh look look honey honey here's a picture of the Sasquatch is that is that you no no no no no I'll be in my room yeah I don't know man does he have a wife well this is something I5 cuz you do have all these people out there who are trying to prove that they're real and they go out and fake it do you think they would maybe design on one outfit one style for them to look like that's the other thing all different even even yeah within this document this man this guy's footage they all look a bit different like one looks like an Ewok sort of creature and then the other looks like joh standing dressed as one and then

around the world yeah and uh and they don't think there's anything wrong with that and we've we've pretty much made fun of this from every possible angle in the last couple of years worth the Christmas specials but this year I found a video that I found hilarious and did did you guys get a chance to watch this video yeah I did I did no I for those who hasn't seen it I I'll describe it it's two Dutch people in blackface walking around a park in London England and when they are confronted by people uh and told that they're being horrifically racist they just say no this is a custom and you have to respect now when I watched this video I assumed this was coming from a kind of ironic point of view and it was supposed to

point out how [ __ ] up and [ __ ] this was uh but then after watching it I realized no this is from Dutch TV and the point of this video is but not everyone in the world thinks this is a good custom and it's done without a hint of irony and so it's basically just two people in blackace walking around England and being called out on their RAC I do I mean no nobody was okay with it in the video and Russell BR in the video he was well he wasn't annoyed he just said ah I think maybe you you'll find that it's not okay yeah that's right and and Russell just happened to be walking through the park with a what appears to be a very very young woman on his arm but um we can talk about that in another podcast but um yeah he uh you know as Matt said he just kind of pointed out to them that

uh it was pretty appalling and he went on his way uh one woman uh told them in no uncertain terms [ __ ] off or you're going to get punched yeah and said you're making everybody very uncomfortable and you're trying have a nice day here yeah and that is a that is a fair point because well no matter what your opinion of it is it is um confronting and they were confronting people about it so yeah that's right if you're in if you're in Holland if you're in Holland and you're doing it and it's it is a tradition I mean I'm sure people walking around the street aren't shocked and and being confronted by it but if you're in London where like they knew that this was not an okay thing to do that's why they did it you know what I

mean like that's right they were being provocative correct yeah so and they provoked yeah they did and also like I they only showed clips of people being annoyed possibly there was some people who just went well that's just silly and or just went oh okay fine whatever yeah like I don't know I it is a weird tradition obviously but um yeah I don't know there's a lot of traditions that should just stop and that's the end of it you know yeah I mean why do they do it that's the I guess because it's tradition well in the same way as people dress up like Santa Claus but Santa Claus isn't a horrible racist stereotype sure well he is but he's a

stereotype of a white man so no one cares because you can't really it's very difficult to offend white people cuz we're we're pretty fine yeah that's right no white people are offended with being shown like when people try and argue that Homer Simpson is offensive to to to fathers or to to to white males it's not offensive because we are idiots and we're fine like you can make fun of us we'll be fine weed minority yeah it's okay but in this case it's a bit different yeah oh I'd say it is a little bit now Luke you famously said on this podcast before that you don't think that uh blackface uh is a problem what's your opinion on zat pit yeah I still I think it's what's behind it I yeah I have a trouble I'm

not very good with racism I cuz you're saying the intent matters yeah I always think it does intent matters everything I agree um do agree with that too and in fact that's the excuse we get used to get away with most of the stuff we say on this podcast exactly so it is it is fairly hypocritical of us to say no if someone's offended by it it's just not bad no no no but my my point stands I believe that in this video these particular people were doing it to piss people off and to to confront people about it and I think in this case it is it was a racist thing to do because that was their intent was to R they weren there celebrating no what it was about they were there trying to get reactions from people correct so I think that's different I think like I said if you're

in Holland and you're doing it because it's a tradition well I mean you could argue that's different I don't know that's not I I don't really understand I I I think that when your tradition is a hate crime then maybe it's blurred the lines well is it is it a hate crime like I I think it's it's considered a hate crime in certain places I wouldn't want to I wouldn't want to wander down to the Deep South in Black I think You' I agree but I'm saying but that's because that's for different reasons like if in Holland they're not doing it to belittle or demean black people it's just this tradition thing and they don't really think about it thenly it does belittle and demean them agree but if it comes from an innocent place I think it's more okay than what they're doing in this video which is

intentionally confronting people with it I'm not saying that they should continue to do it I do think it's something that they need to stop and have a think about why they're doing it but I think like if if somebody's doing it because it's tradition and they they don't quite understand that's different to somebody going up and going look at me I'm dressed as a black person does that annoy you some somebody does make the point in the video of saying fine it's your tradition I got no problem with that but maybe it's our tradition to punch people like you in the [ __ ] face well that's a fair point yeah yeah I will say this I was speaking to one of our listeners during the week who was also a good friend of ours I won't name them but um they were in a public place

with uh one of their children who um loudly exclaimed dad I don't like black people and um and he was horrified by the comment and uh investigated it as a parent is wanted to do and um when pressed she just says no no no I just I just don't like the color black right okay so uh but he's you know I mean it's regardless of uh of how harmless it is maybe maybe don't go around saying that you don't like black people yeah because like my point is on the one hand the child is not saying that because she wants to oppress a group of people and like you know but she's just making a weird observation about her you know something her limited understanding of the world yeah exactly like the you know she's I don't know she finds visually displeasing about

them I mean M careful I'm trying to be careful and it's I'm waiting for and quite frankly so do I no no no I'm just saying the child a child's innocence is different to somebody going up and poking people and annoying them like this child's just saying a a silly thing whereas these people were intentionally trying to piss everybody off so I don't think I don't think you should be allowed to do that but I say we move on because we're not very good at we're not good at this listen to us trying to tiptoe around political correctness yeah I know I know cuz on the one hand I'm like oh it's it's a tradition like they're not trying to be really racist but it is a bit of a racist tradition so I can kind of I don't know well can we move on to

something that I have absolutely no problem making fun of sure Kirk Cameron [ __ ] yeah former sitcom star and evangelist yeah um public hater of and disbeliever in evolution y uh inventor of the crocod duck which is a half crocodile half duck that he thinks the absence of disproves the theory of evolution because there are no in his opinion there's no animals in evolutionary transition and all that proves really is that he doesn't understand how Evolution works and that we're all animals in transition correct um yeah but uh he has just uh personally uh financed produced and starred in a Christmas movie now I'll

admit I do like a good Christmas movie like if it's Christmas time then a movie about Christmas I'm just going to enjoy it you know whether whether it's jingle all the way or oh God The Nightmare Before Christmas Die Hard Die Hard just love Christmas movies you know um but uh this movie which I believe is called Kurt Cameron Saves Christmas oh God looks like the worst movie ever made um maybe it's even worth putting the audio of this trailer into the promo oh do we want to encourage him maybe well look it's either that or or people should go and

watch this I mean yeah I mean don't any money you you it looks like it's going to be like a light-hearted kind of comedy at first but it's not it's basically about a guy who who finds out that everybody hates Christmas because they think that the pagans are stealing it from them Christians he knows hate Christmas now they hate it but they're disappointed in Christmas because all the pagans are trying to steal it from them and make it about you know not God and then he um he saves Christmas I guess by reminding everybody that it was originally apparently about the birth of Jesus and all the other stuff got made up afterwards yeah they they say the word Jesus like more times in this this trailer that I've think I've heard

collectively in every other trailer yeah unless it's an Irish movie Jesus Jesus Jesus Mary and Joseph but yeah we allil be [ __ ] yeah I don't think you're going to find much cursing in this film now look it looks like a load of [ __ ] yeah but it's amazing in its awfulness M you know I just don't I mean look the guy clearly at some point kind of lost it a bit because he he was on what's this what was he on Growing Pains is that what he was on growing pain no no he wasn't growing pains he was it I thought that was Michael J fox no that was family TI family tires P he he was

supposed to be the big stud of the show and everything and then at some point he he became a born again Christian and then refused to do any scenes eventually where he was alone in a room with a woman because it was sending the wrong message and basically just went [ __ ] stupid and he released a video uh a few years ago I guess talking about how Christians are having all their rights stripped away from them because they can't open a Bible in a public school and all all is nonsense like he's crazy they're not allowed to teach kids about magic well you you you can teach them just not in a public school like send them to a there schools where they can do that yeah yeah they can just go to those schools and but the

thing he says oh they teach you Evolution but they don't teach you both sides of the story Al cuz there only side of the story no no well not only that if you're going to teach both sides of the story you mean all 50 billion [ __ ] sides of the story so you teach the Scientologist side of the story you teach the Muslim side of the story you teach the Buddhist side of the story ridiculous I read a great quote the other day and I forget who would by so that may make no sense at all but it it was basically that there is no such thing as not believing in evolution only not accepting that evolution is a fact yeah no no I I know no I know what you mean like well because you don't believe in evolution it's not a that's right you no

faith involved you accept the evidence or you don't yeah there's no faith involved not like with a religion the problem that's the the issue with religion is that there isn't evidence that's the point of it it's it's supposed to fill in the gaps where the stuff we don't know with faith which means there is evidence but you believe it anyway that's right they try to apply that same logic to scientific theories and that's not how it works yeah because that's that's not how we decide things are real that's like absence of evidence of unicorns is not evidence of unicorns correct and this is our Christmas special there is no God [Music] well something that happens this time

every year is the Steam Sale oh yeah yep um it hasn't started yet I believe it's starting tomorrow but they're having a little auction before it starts right you know all those little presents you get from Steam like you get those little emeric cons and things those items yes well they came up with that you could trade them for gems and then bid on games right I wondered how it worked I couldn't figure it out so I just closed it yeah so it was just so you can get rid of all your old stuff and well it didn't go well to start with I had to take it down cuz people found a little bit of a hack and were just multiplying gems like crazy right but I the reason why I found out about this is I had a lot of stuff on the marketplace that I've been trying to sell and it's been sitting there for

months and months then all of a sudden I so about a 100 things jeez trying to go what did you get return buy lots of cheap things I made about $340 good what did you sell exactly but you're cleaned up yeah yep um well when you actually with the trading cards that you get when you actually completed level completed card you get like a wallpaper and things for steam right so you can customize your steam page or you can just sell them in the marketplace I sell them cuz I gave all mine to you and I and I I uh yes I used them I used all your trading cards oh it's fine I I don't care it's fine all right so they have to shut it

down uh because it shut down yeah cuz people have to ruin everything of course of course yeah but no now we get the joy of the actual sale starting soon so we get to buy lots of games really cheap that we won't play I'm I'm going to say now that I don't have anything that I want so I'm not going to buy anything but it's probably not true I'm gonna end up is that how it works is it Matt yeah I always end up I check it every morning anyway and then I go ah I didn't know that I wanted that but apparently I do so every time it comes up I will buy roughly I don't know 15 to 20 games yeah well the steam sale is the reason I have as many games as I do it's not just the sale in general but they do the little flash sales during it as well where like you end up buying things for like

$250 and they're clever too cuz you vote for them right so you kind of invested in it and so you got to check back to see what you voted for when even if you didn't really want it like there's three there I don't really want any of them but I guess out of them I want that one the most and then suddenly you want it yep [ __ ] yep damn you Gabe they're Geniuses yep well that's not the only steam news this week actually no um Steam Greenlight which is the um service where Indie developers can put their game up and the um users can vote whether they would buy it on Steam and if enough people vote then it gets put onto Steam for sale um the game hatred which we've talked about before which is made by a Polish development

house um which is a game about going around and shooting everybody it's basically a mass murder simulator um yep they put the game onto green light uh and according to the stats that they posted they were getting a lot of yeses they went straight to like number seven on the list which would mean wow yeah they were going to get in uh but after a couple of hours they received an email from valve saying unfortunately we've had a look at the game and we're just not interested in selling it on Steam so we're going to pull you pull the game from from Greenlight which is I guess within their right so it got pulled and everybody was like oh on on the one hand it did look like an awful awful evil sort of game if that's your kind of if that's your

opinion um but on the other hand who it's you know if people want to buy it put it on Steam like what you know who's to say it isn't isn't okay to sell it you know what I mean we can buy whatever we want right um so they CED a bit of flack I assume and then at some point um either today or yesterday Gabe newel Ste in um sent them an email a follow-up email and said look I'm sorry um that was a mistake and um we're going to put you back on Greenlight um best of luck with your game so so they're back and uh I'm not not sure where they at the moment but I mean we can be pretty assured just because of the controversy involved with the game it's going to get on there because people people are just going to click yes because they want to see what happens yeah this game is going to get

on there it will absolutely yeah it's it's controversial enough and it's had enough media coverage now that it's it's a forone conclusion but it was interesting that because um not only it wasn't like an automated system that pulled them from the store it was a it was an email that was clearly written and said look we've had a look at your game and we believe in I think in the words uh of the email it's unpublishable and um and then Gabe new stepped in and said sorry that's uh that's not how this works and we're putting you back on so I don't know interesting is is it actually a game was it is is it just you walk around murdering people well I don't know yet I

I guess I like to think hope well hope there's a game in there somewhere like otherwise it I mean it could get old pretty quick if it's not so I don't know i' still have a go though yeah the only thing that we've seen is that trailer that which I mean and to be honest the trailer did Shock Me a bit I didn't expect it to be as I think just a combination of um the music and the the editing and it was just a very it was a well done trailer for for what it was no do you know what I mean like it actually did make me it made me go oh wow like yeah it it was very effective so um to to their you know benefit or detriment so yeah they certainly got everybody's attention anyway so it's back on there if hatred

is a game that you would like to see on Steam uh head over and vote Yes if you're one of those people that that thinks it shouldn't be allowed and you actually opposed to the game you can click no um or and if you have no opinion don't do anything don't do anything although I don't know that's green light works I think they generally just want you to vote so that games that people do want get through and the others don't just kind of sit there and stagnate so I think voting no helps um they want you to do one or the other you know what I mean so yeah but yeah because it's not going to be a game for everyone I don't think it's not a game for me no I mean I'm interested I want to know more about it I don't know if I need to play it to know what I want to

know you know like I just need somebody else to I don't think I would ever play no I don't either I I think I probably watch a couple of YouTube videos and I mean if there is a game there like some kind of game play like I don't know more than just here is a map with some random people and it go shoot them all like that's not really a game you know you could do that in any game if you wanted to I don't know uh but there's one more piece of steam related news uh and it is uh some personal news um and that's just to say that um a game um Bermuda that I did the soundtrack for um it was made by my good friend Marcus um invert Mouse uh was also on Steam Greenlight and it's been green lit so it's that's great yeah it's gonna be on Steam yeah well done

congratulations yeah cheers and yeah congratulations to Marcus um he works really hard on these and um and he deserves it so I'm I'm really glad that it got through and thanks to everybody for voting and um check it out it's a visual novel um with kind of um Stealth gameplay uh elements in between um so if that's your kind of thing um check it out and uh yeah be on the store soon for sale so yeah yeah pretty exciting nice one that's a thing that I didn't think would ever happen so that's pretty cool no you know what I mean it's like isn't any good no it's just like oh I did the soundtrack for a game something that You' done is now on Steam it's literally a commercial game on Steam and I did the soundtrack for it that's just I part of

game of pong attached to them yeah uh and you play against the person on the other side of the road and I think that's this is this is a great thing and they should probably introduce it in a lot of places cuz this would stop me jaywalking yeah I would wait for the lights it would stop me j walking it would stop me jaywalking once but it's it's basically you know you walk up to the pole you press the button you wait for it to go now you walk up and you start playing pong and it's a little touch screen and uh you're playing against the dude who's waiting on the other side and it's amazing it's pretty cool yeah I um I the one thing about it that makes me a little bit is

that it's a touchcreen kind of like an iPad or an iPhone and I I'm pretty sure after one day I would walk past look at the screen and think I'm not touching that look at it it's disgusting well it's the same as just pushing the button well it is except it's not because it's going to look like like a glass display like you know when somebody if somebody pulls out their their their phone or their tablet or whatever and it's got all crusty finger Gunk all over it like is that repulsive no it's it's repulsive like like I don't know we have an iPad at work and sometimes after it's you know been used for testing and stuff around the office I grab it and I'm like [ __ ] sake you using it with a Fleshlight attachment or oh I mean I'm not going to touch with my

fingers I have to use my penis I don't want to to get finger juice on my fingers anyway I just I just think Jes I think something like this is going to get a bit bit dirty maybe they need to put a little cleaning cloth on there hanging at the side for people like me bit of spray yeah yeah exactly yeah bit of bit of cleaning spray yeah yeah I we could spit on it I guess oh I get luk to spit on it y he's got more exper he's got more experience so Pirate Bay Gone yeah yeah is it still gone cuz it it came back for a little while gone oh it was gone the last time I tried to go there for research purposes only and I even just I just went on before we started recording just

to make sure yep it looks like it is gone for good yeah I'm trying to get on to it now and no for people who didn't hear about it uh the they got raided over in Sweden probably what two weeks ago now yeah they used the um the Sony hack as an excuse apparently the films that got stolen during the the Sony hack um some films some of them weren't even released yet um got was stolen in a you know someone got into Sony's Network pinched him and they ended up on the Pirate Bay so they used that as an excuse to seize all their servers at least that's what I read at the time and uh it's gone I haven't actually read a lot it's not something that's yeah I just I I didn't know that that was the reason they got ra I just knew they got raided and

then heard somewhere along that oh they'll be back soon cuz they normally always are oh yeah yeah well they were they were briefly back up on a different at a different domain briefly um yeah but with that one that one that was back up it didn't actually work right okay it looked like they just had the front page up but didn't actually go anywhere and I was told that there was another site that had the catalog but I I tried to search for things on it and it was a nogo as well for research purposes only of course yeah yes yes but it's not going to stop anything there's already there's a dozen torrent sites ready to take its place oh yeah I've recently discovered that demonoid is back so um I didn't even know that it' come back so that's that was

interesting I thought it was still gone forever but I mean so I guess that just means you can't get rid of them you know permanently I mean I don't know surely somebody somewhere has got a backup of of the Pirate Bay you know what I mean like because the Pirate Bay doesn't have the files yeah like the the people have the files that's the whole that's the beauty of torrent is that it's all distributed so it's just a database yeah that needs to be um you know popped back up somewhere but I guess it's yeah you got to be really careful because it's a [ __ ] massive Target yeah I mean I'm not going to I'm not going to do it no probably not worth it probably probably

not well I mean I I didn't use the Pirate Bay much anyway no I just went to Italy I uh I did I I I'm going to be lost without it unless one of you guys can uh turn me onto something else really you used it you used it a lot did you yeah it was my go-to for uh research yeah wow it was the only one that I've ever used that was just No Nonsense right you know what I mean like type in what you want and there it is there you go then oh thanks man where just on the spreadsheet spread oh oh okay more there's that one now all the list are going to be like oh what is it what is it

because I I mean I mentioned the Sony hack do we want to talk about uh the other aspect of the Sony hack that's kind of big news at the moment yeah the interview it's not getting a cinema release now it's not getting um a release at all I think is that at all yeah as as far as I know they've absolutely they've completely shelved it yeah but uh does somebody who knows about it want to want to take us through it I can if you want or do you want to go for it all right to do it and I want you to do it in an Indian voice all right well several weeks ago the servers of Sony Entertainment Productions I made up that name Sony had their servers hacked and uh a bunch of stuff was stolen uh emails and um documents and

financial information and also somehow I guess they just had digital versions of them um some films new release films some hadn't been out yet some that were out and we're just floating around and um now from what I understand at first a financial requ like a demand for money was made in return for not releasing stuff and then Sony said [ __ ] off uh because they didn't actually know what had been taken and then um the hackers calling they called themselves the Guardians Of Peace I think um released they only just came out with that name I believe right I think before couple of days ago they were just Anonymous I don't say they weren't Anonymous they were posting Anonymous yeah gotcha Well they um they said uh we're going to they put up a bunch of personal emails

between um people like Aaron salken and um producers at Sony and between the head of Sony didn't those emails make them look like children yeah they they posted some stuff that was pretty um I guess controversial in a sense that you know people were making a bit some casually racist jokes about certain actors and things like that and it was you know it's it's not the kind of stuff that they want out you know yeah so Sony kind of [ __ ] themselves a bit um but then further than that they somebody not not the hackers at first somebody said we think maybe it was North Korea I think I think maybe Sony or or some us um you know like legal entity said oh we think North Korea may have been involved and whether because of that or because it

was them they've said this movie the interview which is a film starring Seth Rogan and James Franco where they are hired to assassinate Kim y or Kim Jong-un is that his name Kim yeah Kim Jong-un yeah Kim Jong-un so um which obviously North careers they wouldn't be a big fan of a film like that because he's their leader so probably not yeah well they don't know any better the citizens um so they said if you release this film um remember September 11th because we'll do the same thing at every Cinema it screens in which is a ridiculous claim to make you think think about it um you don't have to think that hard it's a ridiculous thing to threaten um but I mean it is quite a serious threat nonetheless so uh a lot of

Cinemas said well we're not going to show the film yeah and canceled um all screenings and then Sony then said well okay we just we're not going to release the film at all uh and so basically these hackers whoever they are just killed this movie and a lot of people are saying this is ridiculous like like you've just set a really bad precedent because yeah like I mean of like I mean I don't want to they like I guess in theory they could but I mean it's very unlikely that they were actually going to you know blow blow up every Cinema in the world all 18,000 Cinemas that it was showing

in in the US I mean and I mean obviously the argument is even if they blew up one that's that's bad enough but that's bad enough but I mean if it's can North Korea does North Korea have the ability to do that yeah I think they do and honestly are we just going to start not doing things because North Korea we should have and well I mean this is that kind of thing you don't negotiate with terrorists because then you set a precedent yeah um and this is the weird like even the Department of Homeland Security actually said there's no credible threat no evidence of a credible threat no no because they didn't even know who it was it was just some random people on the internet in theory who just then sent this they

wanted money at first how could it be North Korea why would North Korea demand money like if they're trying to so I think Sony I can understand maybe holding off on the release cuz it would hurt sales but maybe release it 6 months time when well the other thing is apparently the film is terrible oh oh look I mean it looks [ __ ] awful but as a rule I don't watch movies that star Seth Rogan and James Franco so I probably wasn't going to go see this one either but I mean this they basically just like guaranteed everyone's going to want to see this now just because everyone like people who wouldn't even have known what it was now know about it because because this is like big news and not only that

people are saying it gives Sony in a way it gives Sony uh the ability to do something that they've like move film Publishers have wanted to do for a long time which is um release it on all platforms at once because the cinemas this time the cinemas said no we don't want to put it out where normally they the reason that they don't do it all at the same time is to keep the cinemas happy yeah that's true so in this case it gives Sony the freedom to just do whatever they want with it it could be a bit of an experiment or or as someone tweeted I can't unfortunately I can't give credit because I don't recall who it was someone tweeted um Sony should just email it to themselves and then we can all watch [Laughter]

it so yeah nice so anyway yeah that's um it's kind of a it's kind of a big deal I guess like they all caved and now this film's just not getting released yeah I got a shock that they caved I didn't think they would yeah you know what I think I think the movie was [ __ ] terrible and they knew it yeah Sony knew it and then [ __ ] we've already put out the trailer everyone knows it's got two of Hollywood's biggest stars in it everyone's going to go and see this thing and it is awful and then this happened and they went you know what we're not releasing it Merry Christmas yeah oh someone pointed out too I don't know how how true this is um

well I mean as far as I'm aware North Korea has fairly limited Military capabilities um however Japan is a lot closer to them than than the US and Sony is based in Japan and pointed that out and I went okay that is true so I don't know whether that's a factor at all but I mean it was just an interesting point son pictures is not based in Japan in Hollywood California I isn't it the president of Sony said no we're not doing that could Sony pictures oh okay oh maybe I'm mistaken then I think Sony someone was having final say over the death scene that's true send it back to him the president going hey what do you think of this and he kept going no yeah I remember someone fire less

skull oh Jesus evidently his head gets blown up right that right well not anymore it doesn't no well there you go we don't get to see a terrible film well allegedly terrible I guess we'll never know speaking of terrible films yes do we want to have a segment we can we can absolutely have a segment this is um Matt's horrifically horrible horror homnibus Christmas Edition that's horrifically horrible horror Christmas edition that on the end yeah um so this is a slight change of

format because I've seen this film ah and I want to try and do this more often I've actually watched the film in question the premise of this um segment is I'm going to give out the name of the film and then um Luke and Dan have to try and guess the plot just generally of the film based on that name all right and um this is a Christmas editioned so the film this week it's a horror film they're always horror films because I like horror films this film is called Santa's SLE Santa's Slay all right Luke do you want to uh ask the first question yeah I've got a question I'd just like to maybe ask but start off with yeah sure may may as well uh does anyone get their breasts cut

Luke I my bet would be a renegade Santa yeah it is along those lines yes I'm going to guess it's also set around Christmas yeah it is well I think you're probably right about that one think it's probably set around Christmas yep I just want to get a question right for once okay well take it away um I'm going to guess now think about the nature of Santa like what what what is Santa why would somebody like Santa exist he's got you know he's got some powers and abilities what's that about yeah well he's got his naughty list and his Nic he does we've all got those I mean those are objects not Powers but he does yeah be all right he knows who's on the

[ __ ] list thanks man he does yep he has the power to read yep well who writes the list no he makes the lists he can write he can write he knows who's been bad or good he checks them twice y yep he's fastidious here's my question about this if he knows who's good and bad why does he need a list yeah well make sure why is he so why does he have so little confidence in his own omnipotence that he has to check the list not once but twice yeah even though he already knows and why assuming to find out who's naughty and nice yeah making a list made the list he's checking it twice he's going to find out

he's himself but he he is perhaps possessed no he's no he's not he's not I think the demon thing may have been a red herring then no no you're [ __ ] with us now Matt no no no no no one gets possessed by a demon no nobody gets possessed by a demon Santa is a demon yes y right but a demon who doesn't want to possess anyone who just wants to kill he wants to kill every child on Christmas Eve no he does want to kill all of them does he want just the good ones then he's just a [ __ ] with who he's just a dick look he's out he's he's out for a bit of Revenge actually oh because if you think about it what a demon wouldn't do the kind of things that Santa does so have you think about that why would a

demon do the kind of things that Santa does because he wasn't given any presentence himself as a child he be getting out of it he's pissed off about it a lot of coal has being taken away Dan is using up a lot of fossil fuels giv coal to every bad kid something about Rudolph's red nose no no where did Jesus come from answer me that oh whoa who okay getting getting esoteric now are we came from our Lord came from our Lord the Lord sent him to to Earth yeah he was he the Son of God and he was born at Christmas and so if you've got a demon also born at Christmas who I see where you I I I see where you're going Matt I see where you're going with this h so this is the son of the devil so he's

not content just following Santa one house behind and just taking the Pres back no no he is Santa he is Santa he's Santa the son of Satan so what you're saying is that Santa is the Antichrist well yeah he's he's Satan's son he's there were two Immaculate conceptions right and he finally upset that he's not getting any credit cuz everyone's starting to celebrate Jesus's birthday no he shall I I mean this is this the complexities of this plot are going to be difficult to KN out so shall I shall I reveal the story why don't you take over Matt yeah thousand years ago Santa the son of Satan used to travel around and Slaughter children every Christmas that

was his thing until one day an angel knew that he was a Gambling Man and um challenged him to a game of what's that game where you slide the little thing along the ice to try and get it closest to the hole without it falling in ice [ __ ] bowling whatever that is yeah SK um no it's uh I watched this actually watched this with your girlfriend one night curling curling curing yeah so they got to get try and get the the little puck thing closest to the hole he bets him and he says if you uh if he if s Santa loses he has to be kind at Christmas for a thousand years oh and a thousand years up been doing a thousand years are up so and that's what this film is about and uh also the main character's grandfather is the

Angel uh they don't really explain how that's how how that works the angel who went around impregnating everybody the no the angel that that challenged um Santa to the to the match and then so the Santa's after him basically gotcha okay he also kills uh the Jewish Baker in town with one of those elaborate Jewish candal Aras that I can't recall the name of you could have you could have uh manora you could have just said Baker Matt no it's important casually racist point out I see you're right the guy who makes the bagels gets killed by Santa and like it aanii yeah he does he

does yeah so that's uh that's Santa's sle uh it's it's not a great film it was entertaining um I did like it it's got Fran drer in it for about five minutes oh young Fran drer or old FR drer uh old frer it's actually not that old this film um oh so that's what she's doing now schlock horror yeah yeah well and like I said she's only in for five minutes they probably tell you what's going to happen to her in the first five so that was their aist that they got on board yeah basically yeah but yeah I I I liked it if you like um goofy horror movies check it [Music] out I guess the only other thing that I would kind of want to discuss was the um the fact that George Lucas doesn't give

a [ __ ] about any new Star Wars movies like he literally just doesn't [ __ ] care yeah is great well of yeah because the the fact that he I mean it's it's a bit disconcerting that he hasn't even watched this trailer although as we've discovered during the week A lot of people are boycotting the trailer for one reason or another um but it does mean that he's what people boycot involved well they're either trying to not ruin the surprise for themselves or they're just not trying to build it up so that they're managing expectations okay okay all because they've been hurt by Star Wars spin-offs in the past mhm yeah well I know we were all kind of worried when George Lucas was still going to be kept on as a consultant but now it's starting to seem like that's just a title certainly

sounds like that may not be the case hey George we're still going to call this Star Wars and do our own thing is that okay sure whatever but can I just say though I mean look maybe I'm just overly I just disappoints yeah no exactly I'm I'm probably overly romanticizing the situation but thinker wait it in don't give a [ __ ] mate I haven't seen it didn't bother I'm not going to watch it don't care cuz I honest I like to think any anything that I created like like like music or you know one of you know one of our silly little films if somebody went on to take over the mantle right and this thing I created like if I cre saying if Disney bought apartment 32A yeah that's right and us as aan and they

made third one yeah and then they said have you seen the trailer I would be like [ __ ] yeah I saw the trailer of course I can't believe he got Oscar Isaac's to star in it yes of course I saw the trailer this is a thing that I created that made me who I am today of course I watched it I demanded to see the trailer before you even put it online so I don't know if maybe he's just trying to play it down [Laughter] you watch your own film in a room with other people who are seeing it for the first time you can feel how other people oh I was judging you so hard the other week Dan watch film I could feel you

judging me I could feel it but you know if a joke doesn't sit well you feel that you know and yeah I can only imagine what it would have been like to be in the screening room at the first cut and first cuts are always bad anyway but of a movie that at its best is not very good yeah and at its worst
