we just started doing the podcast yeah well I've I've worked out that two game cases isn't enough to keep it off I have to have three uhhuh all right cuz my desk vibrates for some reason oh with the dlid bass tones of my voice sure we'll go with that okay yeah how are you Dan Dan Dan that's just rude if you if he's not saying anything what a dick you know what let's just leave him out of this week's episode yep yeah forget it I think that's the best way just disconnect now yep yep he's done for this week no but seriously he he can't join us so it's just the two of us hopefully

that's not a problem for you in a jungle yeah I assume we think he's in a jungle yeah I just assumed that when he's not around he just lives in a jungle now yeah yeah they don't have internet at the village in the jungle where he is no I'm assuming that's the case yeah so what have you been doing this week Luke um I've actually just been sick all week oh bumer I was too no it was actually quite good why is that well this week was also E3 aha so instead of being at work and waiting to get home so read up on the news I was able to sleep all day and then just read up on the news at the end of the day like I would have done anyway but I didn't have to think about missing it while I was at work

yeah yeah there was uh there's a lot of stuff announced this week I'm just sort of happy that my prediction kind of Hope of Fallout came true yeah coming out this year that's exciting very soon November release wasn't it yeah November um yeah I didn't expect that to be honest I thought next year or something so I have to what do you think of it well uh it looks [ __ ] awesome yeah you can craft stuff and like all the useless crap that you find lying around that's usually completely useless is no longer completely useless so that's nice the thing I like about that is you don't have to do that right it's not integral part of the story so if you don't want to do that cuz I personally think that's

boring yeah it'll be fun I'm going to make a nice F and then I'm going to forget about it yeah what do you think of the do I haven't seen footage of the dog doing much but is there something I should know about it to me it just remember your dog in Fable right it's just that again from the looks of it right yeah Jenna asked me that's what I was um well there've been dogs in Fallout previously dog meat is always in Fallout and I love dog meat it's but yeah I guess the game playay aspects of it is probably just the same kind of thing yeah I know everyone went crazy about it but I'm just sort of I remember having that same same thing in Fable and it was fun for a bit and then so maybe it's got to be something

more to it but we'll see does he bark and find treasure for you and all that jazz yeah and you can tell him the ghost stuff if it's anything like the original Fallout one and two games I'm just going to use him to store stuff yeah yeah like a horse in skyum or was it Oblivion that where you could punch the horse out and just load it up with equipment I think it might have been you just keep punching it until it goes unconscious and then dump all your stuff and then when it wakes up it carries tons and tons of equipment I don't know why in all of those games I I always have too much I'm always having to manage all the equipment I'm carrying cuz I'm always carrying too much I never change anything right like I carry all these

extra guns I use two guns but I've got all these extra guns just in case cuz they look cool just in case I've got extra armor that i' never change see that's why Lydia was useful in Skyrim except she' be passive aggressive about it but at least she could carry your [ __ ] for you so no I think I've saw the opening to it um I think this one's going to be a bit different where you actually you're not playing as a character that comes out of Vault you're playing as one of the survivors of the the war yeah right so you make it into the Vault but you're the only Survivor of your Vault it looks like you were frozen yeah I I wondered about that actually I didn't I I watched a video that showed looked like he didn't make it but

then he was alive they didn't explain it is that no they um I think they stopped short of explaining exactly what happened there so they don't want to take away from the experience yeah okay that's good fair enough yeah totally so that I'm super excited about yeah um the other thing I'm really excited about is they're finally making a new Final Fantasy well not making new Final Fantasy re-releasing Final Fantasy 7 a remake yeah so I mean that Final Fantasy 7 was one of the first games I got on my PlayStation um and I've probably told this story before but when I got it I wanted to play it so bad that it didn't matter my mom had forgotten to get a

memory card I played it anyway cool uh and then then obviously I replayed several hours of it after I got a memory card yes because you couldn't save that was probably the first jrpg I ever played yeah and that's the one I fell in love with and made me go along and play a lot of others it's very unique the you know the gameplay and everything is unique and like the story sorry not the gameplay the story the story it's a great story and what I like about this is they're not just this is actually something that's a bit scary they're not just putting pretty graphics on it and going here you go they're actually doing more story as

well oh really they're adding more to it I didn't know that adding I don't know I'll have to wait and play it now at the moment it's saying play it first on Playstation yeah what I'm hoping that means is play it on Playstation first and a month later here it is on Xbox it might be longer than a month but yeah I agree hopefully it's not too long yeah I don't want to buy a PlayStation full one game nah you know if someone wants to give me a PlayStation 4 listeners or Sony yeah or uh squareenix if you want us to review it I'll play it if you give me a PlayStation I'll happily review it if you give me a PlayStation that and any of your other games hell I'll even be nice you give me the PlayStation I'll buy Final Fantasy 7

I'll bet you halfway that is nice Luke see hear that he's a nice guy give him a PlayStation oh it' be so nice if I got one yeah I watched the trailer you know the the only thing that bothers me not bothers me but concerns me is mhm um I don't know if you recall you probably will when I mention it there are several several bits in Final Fantasy 7 that I don't think will translate with state-of-the-art Graphics what ones are these well there's the section where you have to dress up as a girl yeah that's the one I was just thinking of to seduce that guy to get through over the wall or back up climb the wall or whatever it is no I think that one will actually work okay if you look at a lot of um of the Final

Fantasy games the hero does sort of have very feminine features a lot of the time fair enough and there's also there's some stuff like um uh when the president comes to visit forget which town it's in and you have to make the soldiers March and impress the president and it's got the president um his impress level his level of um oh yeah yeah those yeah there's probably a few things like that that won't yeah and also there's uh you guys get turned into frogs and you battle other frogs and I don't know there's a few goofy bits in it that um I hope they keep them I do too just because I think it'll be funny to see yeah was there anything else at E3 that

really jumped out at you um they're remaking gears one which is pretty cool cuz I like I thought they're doing all of them oh are they yeah I think it's a gears pack so it's all of them well one two and three yeah and judgment I don't know if judgment it will be in there I like how judgment's not gears four anymore it's just a separate thing kind of like ODST and um reach weren't boring and five in sorry weren't three and five Halo well they yeah cuz they weren't sort of continuing the story or anything they were just cuz Halo is the story about John John Halo whereas ODST and stuff were just other stories that were happening

in the same universe at the same time right um on the subject of of that I have I finished listening to hunt the truth oh what did you think I liked it a lot it was good um I thought it got a bit cheesy again at the end with u I didn't like the way it ended yeah uh I thought they they really really overdid the master chief is the savior he is the best like they kind of came back around to to that again yeah I didn't I think I it was going so well throughout and it was really interesting and then it just oh and then we're just going to take this reporter away sweep him under the rug say it was all a fraud and yeah Master Chief and it's just that's not what I was listening to the entire time

yeah yeah I don't know yeah it kind of well I mean it was an interesting story it was the story of the the reporter I guess Benjo um but yeah it's fairly unsatisfying in yeah but I'm be really nice if they maybe continued that on some other way or I wonder if it ties into the next game when does this take place this this is taking place actually between four and five okay so maybe it'll take continue into the game because it's made by by 3 yeah no this is definitely part of it all cuz they actually set it up to finish just before E3 right right and in the gaml that they showed they're actually you actually play as another character you play as uh Spartans out to

try and capture Master Chief oh okay hm interesting cuz he might have gone bad spoilers he hasn't of course he hasn't yeah I don't know what people were thinking there cuz some people get oh I'm never going to play the game if he's going to be bad or anything he's not just the story get over it yeah he's the hero he's he's not going to go bad no but yeah going back to you play between different characters again right so you're playing Agent lock who's out to find John and John's I don't know trying to find cotana right so is he yeah see I hav play

Halo or is that the only one that's out since I haven't played them I Haven play reach either all the way through but I don't know how you didn't like reach that was a great game oh it's well I don't like like any of them really it's just that kind of game doesn't really appeal to me um yeah but four is the only one that I haven't played yeah okay oh well like I said I haven't I don't think I played ODST either really I played multiplayer for a lot of them um so when you play this other character are you still uh it's still a shooter like you're still the game play is the same still the same you play um cuz John Halo is a Spartan 2 yeah but agent lock is a Spartan 4 oh okay so he's got a squad of three other Troopers that are with him so he's he's better than Master Chief by

two numbers well no oh because all the Spartan 2 were taking his children right and had horrible things done to them mhm mhm and made stronger and faster whereas so it all worked out yeah where the Spartan fors were just good soldiers that they augmented and gave some extra training too and some armor oh so they're not as good as him no right yeah all right fine I will be getting it and playing it as you probably guess doesn't surprise me what else did they announce Dishonored two that got leaked a bit early actually but um I still haven't finished the first one no see I got the same same I I really enjoy that game aesthetically but it's a stealth game and I get bored in

them I made the horrible thing of trying to play it stealth the entire way so I was going to try and get the achievement for no kills yeah I was going to do that and then after about 10 minutes I was like you're all [ __ ] dying now cuz I'm bored well that was pretty much me except I decided no I'll put it down and I'll come back and try again later I haven't picked it up again since yeah I I haven't played it in a bit I got what did I get up to well I think part of the problem with me is is since I got the Xbox one I don't turn the 360 on at all yeah well I might be able to play Dison now with the whole announcement with backwards compatibility oh that's true yeah and I've tested that and it works pretty

well what can you play now oh there's a handful of games and they're not they're very old games it's weird that they've picked these ones there's like Mass Effect right like the original yeah right um some arcade games like Geometry Wars and okay jetpack refueled like they're really strange games well I can see people wanting to play Mass Effect again because oh andromeda's coming out people might want to replay the other three so I assume two and three will get backwards compatibility oh yeah well they're going to what it comes down to it's the developers decide if they're going to allow it to be back their game allowed to be backwards compatible really why wouldn't

you I have no idea like I mean like Red Dead Redemption would be another one I'd be interested in evidently there's a forum on Xbox and that's at top of the list yeah that they're asking for yeah doesn't surprise me but they're going to say once it rolls out they're going to have like hundreds of games added each month so yeah I don't know why you would say no unless you don't want to support like add you know like uh I assume if there are issues they need the developers to assist yeah I'd be G is this going to require us to do any work because we're not making any money from that game that's probably what it is um because people might come up with the argument oh but people will go out and buy a game well no they're going to go out and buy it second hand yeah that's

true it's not for sale anymore really that's the thing right people I mean you could buy digitally but um this whole secondhand business where they say the developers don't get any money but you can't buy a lot of the stuff new anymore no like and if especially over here a lot of people can't afford to download them all because we don't have huge into quotas for down it's getting better but we don't have huge quotas like if you want to buy Red Dead Redemption you have to buy it secondhand at the moment here or be like me and if you buy it when it comes out keep it that is an option I as well I suppose but like there's quite a lot of games right if I go to EB or

or I can really only think of EB as as the M like a proper game store have we got any others left now um there's game are they still around still kicking around okay I thought they were gone but right there's one in cam okay all right well if I go to EB or game um they're not going to have new copies of anything that's older than like 6 months oh if that if you actually walk into an EB now the majority of store is all their secondhand stuff and there's like one wall that might have some new releases right cuz they don't make their money on new releases they make their money on the tradein no so I mean and like I said well I understand that that doesn't really help the developer it uh it's difficult to get a copy that's not

secondhand after the first you know after initial release what all we really need is just the digital versions of games become cheaper for us yeah they should be cheaper like yeah I'm paying the price some is [ __ ] I'm either paying the same if not more than EB and EB I think are probably charging a lot more than a lot of other stores like um game and JB HiFi I want to um I want to talk about something else related to pricing of games and stuff but I want to come back to Mass Effect Andromeda because we I mentioned that and I I missed that out that is something I'm excited about but with the price of digital games and everything did you see the steam sales been on right yes and did you see what happened with GTA

5 I believe I heard something that they added an extra thing to it and then jacked up the price on it what they well sort of what they did was they added uh forgive me listeners I haven't played GTA 5 so my understanding of what happened what do you mean I gave you a copy of the game I know it's downstairs I haven't played it um it's on 360 I don't I don't play those anymore ah okay um I because people keep bugging me saying oh we should do heists and I'm like I don't have it on Xbox One um anyway the the you can buy in-game currency apparently as a as like DLC which is strange but all right um so what they did was they added a huge

chunk of ingame currency which costs them nothing um to it as a bundle right at a at a higher price than the game costs on its own and then put that in the sale at a discount for slightly less than the game costs normally so so it was really just not discounted yeah cuz in-game currency costs them nothing and it's useless like it's just a shitty way of not giving you a proper discount but and by getting the free publicity of being in the steam so I'm surprised they allowed it on Steam actually I don't know if they ever fixed it I heard that they um like they were definitely aware that people were pissed off about it there was a lot of articles about it so

I don't know if they ever actually gave a proper discount or anything but seemed really really most people I guarantee most people who are pissed off about it probably already own it yeah fair enough on multiple platforms yeah yeah I know own it twice I saw people friends of mine uh on Facebook or and people online saying ah I don't know if there's enough different about this PC release to justify buying it again after they already bought it on 360 and like PS4 Xbox One I was like you serious don't why are you buying it again at full price that's crazy like I have you bought it on Luke be honest I've got on the 360 and the Xbox One mhm I might get it on PC eventually if I pick it up in

some crazy deal Steam Sale in a year or two why oh fair enough well I can't talk I've bought I've re-bought games from years and years and years ago well speaking of re buying games I actually did pick up one thing in the Steam Sale what's that I got home world oh the Remake yeah huh I didn't even know that was part of the sale uh uh how is it have you played it I haven't played it all right my computer will run it oh right yeah see my PC is long in the tooth so yeah I did buy some stuff in the sale but they're mostly Indie things I bought Wasteland 2 and I bought [Music] um ah something else oh uh The Wolf Among Us ah yep yeah because I had a lot

of trouble with that on iPad and Dan said it was good on PC oh but because I I just said it was a good game doesn't matter but because Dan said okay because Luke because you recommended it I went out and bought it ah yeah so so that's nice and you can um I found this out I didn't realize you can hook a Xbox One controller up to your PC with just USB cable yes which is nice because the Xbox 360 thing was a pain in the ass I I only buy wide controllers now oh yeah cuz batteries are stupid yep yeah I don't understand the need for it really no like I'm never that far from the TV no like I don't care I don't even if they were rechargeable batteries like the PlayStation controllers wouldn't

care I just want it wired can you buy wired Xbox One controllers or are you just using a cable I I went out and got a wired Xbox One controller where did you get get that from can you like as in a Microsoft one or a third party one third party one is it good it does exactly just same as my other controller is it a well not not a cheaper one though like a no no no it's like still $60 $70 oh okay all right yeah cuz some of the third party ones are garbage I am thinking about getting the elite controller yeah interesting it's got the extra buttons on the back and yeah I don't know if I need that but uh H pretty interesting so you can swap out the type of grip and stuff on the buttons and yeah the the buttons and the

I don't know I need that but the extra buttons on the back can actually be good for first person shooters especially multiplayer what can the buttons do well see there's the problem right if someone's got more buttons than me that's not fair what are the what are you going to make those buttons do uh one thing I would do is I'd make one of jump so I don't have to take my fingers off the thumb sticks to hit a to jump but then you have an unfair Advantage yes I do these controllers already exist oh I know I know yeah um they just making more relatively available but anyway back to before we go too far oh yeah Mass Effect ad dromer oh yeah right so uh trailer for that and I mean the trailer didn't show a whole lot it

showed some ingame well I think the whole thing was in engine but um I don't know if any of it was actually in game was just rendered footage from the engine it's frostbite I think the engine um but it's a new Mass Effect game it's not related to the others it's set a long time after the others from what I gather and uh the beginning shows this [ __ ] cool interface where person's kind of scanning through planets chooses one and then they go to the planet and then a bunch of adventurous stuff happens but I'm hoping that that's kind of what it is exploring new worlds and stuff and it seem to be like scans of the planet showing the wildlife and things I don't know I'm hoping there's some exploration involved cuz I really enjoyed that I even enjoyed

the first Mass Effect game driving around yeah in the Macco yeah I enjoyed that the only problem with it in the first game is that all the planets were the same yeah they look different colors but they were the same but yeah that's I wanted to bring something like that in cuz that yeah that was a good part of the game to me yeah one thing about the trailer I didn't quite like was the N7 going back to that whole Normandy thing cuz whole new game just just have a mass effect in the universe it's fine but you don't have to try and tie it back into the originals I think yeah like why yeah why is why is there an N7 logo on the

armor well I guess we'll have to wait and see the future of the earth military I guess everyone's just end seven everybody is yeah um so yeah I mean we don't know a whole lot about it we know it was just a teaser but it looks looks cool and it's Mass Effect so yeah I I played through all mass effects games twice I almost did and then I stopped playing my second playr of three because something else came out and because I don't get much time to play games anymore sorry I remember that's a lie I've played through all of them twice I've played through six times played through what I've played through both games four times so four no sorry 48 12 times both

games okay so I played through Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 cuz you know how you save copy to cross yes so I played both of them twice I my good character and my bad character right ready to go to three I then accidentally wiped my hard drive on the Xbox 360 how did you manage that long story don't want to get into it it's was quite a sad day lot of sa games I bet it was for you and so before Mass Effect 3 came out again I played through Mass Effect 1 and two again twice so I could have my good and bad character ready for three holy [ __ ] okay then I played through Mass Effect 3 twice wait you know you don't have to play through Mass Effect one you can just use the comic thing to choose the outcome no I'm not I M effect Mass

Effect 3 I played through three times one's good one's bad and then once with the updated ending oh yeah see I haven't done that I haven't done the updated ending that's what I was doing [ __ ] hell I have to do that at some point when they uh make it backwards compatible maybe I'll do that wait no because my save won't be there uh if you move your save over to the cloud it will be oh okay that's good yeah they've actually oh so it brings all that across yeah so pretty fancy most of your safe games probably won't be on the cloud and 360 so just move the ones you want over and you'll be fine okay that's good that's cool I like that very cool all right oh um one other thing

that I liked was the Oculus Rift is coming to the Xbox One yes it's actually being shipped so all Oculus Rifts come with an Xbox One controller yeah so they've like legit partnered up and everything so a lot of people are upset about it of course yeah of course but no this is good cuz I actually have been wanting to get an Oculus Rift but I knew my computer wasn't going to run it yeah exactly so now I've just got my Xbox mhm yeah it's uh it's pretty cool yeah cuz like my PC's like we've already talked about this a little bit doesn't run everything too well so I'm planning on buying things on Xbox One and now I don't have to worry about not having an Oculus Rift so once they announce once they give us an Oculus Rift we'll review it for them and we'll tell you whether or

Kevin J Anderson oh right actually you know I completely forgot he was there that actually that would have been that probably would have been good damn it and there was a Mad Max um panel that I was interested in but uh I couldn't find it in the program so thanks for that Supernova um Nathan Filan was there he I assume would have been interesting um his panel with Adam Baldwin was apparently great uh Adam baldman was there that didn't seem to affect my experience negatively in any way which I didn't expect that it would so who was going to ruin it for everyone yeah well see the problem is I just don't really care what Adam Baldwin says so oh yeah I think that's the trick really yeah cuz I remember I used to follow him on Twitter and then I stopped

following him because I wasn't that interested in what he had to say well and the problem went away I don't want to um yeah we've talked about him before look he's just he's a guy on the internet like he I think the problem with him mostly is that he's not uh he's got a lot of opinions that most people don't agree with he's very you know like he's Republican he's very very America Pro Amer and he's blunt and uh he I guess he's probably he's a little religious to I believe he might be yeah but I mean he does stuff like for example even um juul State posted something the other day about um uh you know I can't remember what it was about but anyway he retweeted it and

a bunch of his followers who are crazy psychos started harassing her so she deleted the tweet and said look please just [ __ ] off basically if if you're a if you follow Adam Baldwin and you came over here to have a go at me [ __ ] off so I think mostly the problem is that he attracts a certain type of people and uh and that was that was people's concern was that they were going to be the people at Supernova but you know what they were already at Supernova so uh whatever I ended up talking about it again so who did you actually go to see uh we didn't we just went and kind of wandered around and checked out uh all the stuff that was there uh we saw uh there was a Han Solo in carbonite there which was part of the you know

what I've completely forgotten the name of the charity and that's I can find it pretty quickly though what did I 500 first or no it was oh really their [ __ ] website isn't the top result when I searched for this all right he serious not even going to tell me who's running this okay it was called there was a a charity event uh which was kind of the official Afterparty for Supernova and it was in a home in darling Harbor unfortunately home nightclub which is not a place I go um I've heard of

it uh so they had a an event called The Hip Hof party I thought was pretty hip Hof hip I like that yeah pry I would have liked the music but and at first see the guy said the guy's like oh you guys should come down it's at home night club we didn't because Jen had to work on him because I was sick as well but um he said oh you should come down to home and we're like ah home yeah we don't we don't really go there and he was like oh yeah all right well we've got um we've got Jedi dancing girls and we've got uh a Cantina Band and we've got and just all this stuff and I was like that sounds awesome what are Jedi dancing girls well I don't know but I wanted to find out

unfortunately like I said we couldn't cuz it wasn't feasible this year but next year I think we should yeah yes cuz he reckons they want to try and do this every year so yeah that sounded cool and um hopefully we'll be able to check that out next year and um I'm definitely going next year I just yeah got this stupid rule if I'm off sick from work during the week I'm not allowed to go out no that makes sense that makes sense I don't take time off work very often when I'm sick so yeah if I off work cuz I'm sick it's cuz I'm actually sick and I still did work you work very hard Luke that is that is true I do I'm I'm silly uh another thing that got announced recently uh was YouTube is going to start doing game

streaming like twitch does because Amazon bought twitch um Google wanted to buy twitch but they didn't get to did Amazon just offer more money or I think so I assume that's what it was generally seems to be the um the deciding factor in these things but so I mean they just built their own Service uh basically um so I don't quite understand this stuff like I know it's huge clearly like I cuz I sometimes stream for under multiple nasm yeah right and I've spent time like playing like life is strange yeah and I got up around 30 40 50 people at one point watching me play Life Is Strange really yeah see a lot of watch Outlast who are these people I don't

know I mean it's cool and all I it's and I I mean I just I guess I just don't get it like if I have enough time that I'm like maybe I'll watch someone else play a video game oh wait that wouldn't happen because if I had that time I'd be playing a video game I know I had had some people I've been streaming go like is this game any good and they're basically looking at it to see it to see if they want to buy it right oh okay that makes sense and cuz I I do watch I watch on YouTube I watch a lot of Let's Play videos all the time but I'm not really watching just people play a game and watching sort of like Achievement Hunter and things like that like a group of people playing a game so I don't really watch any of that St so maybe I mean I guess I'm just not the target I had a I

had a lot of people watching me stream Outlast and that I ended up screaming after the first few things choed out at me and I went sorry guys I'm turning this off Outlast is not for me did you do you stream video of yourself as you play no I don't cuz you're not wearing pants no and no one wants to see that I bet you are right now it's [ __ ] freezing oh yes it's even colder in camber I well yeah exactly you'll know that in a couple of weeks yep right why because you're going to have me walk around your house naked oh yeah yeah that that was the idea yeah so I mean you'll be able to stream stuff on YouTube as well now which I guess and I was reading this and they probably they're going a oneup twitch here with the whole you can rewind yeah and watch it later twitch doesn't really

do that right for people to actually save their videos they have to hook it up with YouTube anyway yeah see I think YouTube's got an advantage in that they're the platform for not live video anyway so yeah I mean the interface looks pretty pretty sad sexy I think I think YouTube may come out on top here just because that's where everyone goes for their videos anyway yeah I mean really it's not that difficult uh a technology to to to for them anyway because they're already doing video and they already do live video too they do live music and stuff so it's kind of just same all I guess the only problem is uh well I

say do they have Xbox apps and stuff no I don't think they do yet I think they'll yeah right because they'll probably start off hand I I think they're going straight for PC and handheld to begin with so you'll be able to stream off your phone and tablet from when I can see but okay but they'll they'll get on they oh they have to they will yeah they'll throw money at them and say can we be on your console and they'll yeah and they'll say of course you can let me deposit that check yes now we've probably been probably not as funny well probably never funny but this probably been a bit more game related so how about we move on to something that's a bit funner sure okay this North Korea mhm they've

finish recording all right cool I got this oh thanks North Korea we appreciate we appreciate that what else do we have here uh we've talked about Kickstarter quite a lot uh made fun of it quite a lot because a lot of kickstarters seem to go nowhere and one of the things that we've kind of said many times is why the [ __ ] doesn't somebody do something about this uh but I mean that's what a Kickstarter is you're kind of investing in the hopes that it'll be successful uh and then sometimes they're just not through no fault of anybody's however it turns out apparently if is your fault because you're negligent you will get in trouble because the um the Federal Trade Commission has taken its first ever action over a crowdfunding

project finding that its creator used deceptive T tactics by raising more than $122,000 to create a board game and then spending the money on things like rent moving to Oregon and personal equipment so this game sounds pretty cool it's like a lovecraftian uh board game and the big attraction with these put mini Miniatures that of kind of love crafty monsters is a culu there perched on a on a cube they look pretty great and a lot of people wanted them so we raised $122,000 and and then spent the money on rent and moving house and and did nothing so turns out you're not allowed

to do that so like you can fail yeah you can you have to make a legitimate attempt right if it turns out I mean and and like we've talked about this before as well we've done a Kickstarter right and I can tell you right now listener listen at home if you've never done a Kickstarter before whatever money you think you need you need more yes because we did a Kickstarter and we we offered a bunch of rewards like t-shirts and hoodies and by the end of everything once we'd send everybody their stuff and we' tried to start the video and everything like that we didn't have any money left so it's not like these people end up rolling around in cash generally speaking I'm sure some of them are just dodgy like this guy obviously took the piss a bit

but well I don't he did I think he started off with the intentions to do it all because he had the license and everything yeah but then just went it's too hard and I'm moving yeah just poor um poor decisions I guess the good thing about this is the people did eventually get their game oh they did yeah um another company ended up buying the rights ah and they actually ended up getting it made and they sent out the backers a copy of it right right right oh cryptozoic cryptozoic bought the rights and then uh and they sent everybody the games that's great which that's that's a really nice thing for them to do cuz they did it at their own cost yeah yeah well that's just uh kind of

the opposite of what happened with Eric the uh the original Kickstarter so yeah so if you're thinking about doing a dodgy Kickstarter don't and if you're thinking about doing a real one just ask for more crunch the crunch the numbers first because yeah yeah I mean and you know we made that mistake what should we do as our next Kickstarter well see I don't know we got to think of something good cuz we'd actually have to get Dan back yes we would we have to include that in the cost or we have to go where he is so so we have oh I like that idea so we have to include that in the cost all right so Something In the Jungle the next Kickstarter is something in the jungle listeners if there's something you would like us to do in the jungle
