welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt it's all bit ay so I don't really understand it Luke is that a little sashwat penis danam I accidentally got soap in my urethra and sometimes Dave you don't understand how sick it makes me feel the fact that I wanted to have sex with my own daughter and occasionally Terry smallo maybe you wake up in the middle of the night with a little sashwat panus inside of you multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy so how are we jent good how are you yeah not too bad excellent so I guess we don't need to introduce ourselves anymore yeah no that's who we are they should all know who we are by now that's it yeah Dan's taking care of it for us

that's right including some guest stars who are sometimes here sometimes not here so yeah can who's the voice on that recording uh that would be someone I found on Fiverr pa5 to do that who I've now I've gotten to do three voiceovers for me for various things awesome yeah all for the same $5 or you up to 15 with them now I'm up to 15 bucks with him now for three solid voice over jobs wow his name's Chuck shout out to you Chuck where's Chuck from I suppose you don't know uh America is my guess okay yeah but I know that's vague in and of itself sure y from the Americas the new

world as I call it well I know we're all doing well but I know someone is not doing very well at the moment someone is a little upset maybe someone is a little even jealous of us here at multiple nasm we had a successful kickstar yeah we did ball did not mhm he's lost his [ __ ] a little bit over it as well look let's talk about U because he's only fun when he's losing his [ __ ] and he's the Pinnacle of fun right now so backstory for anyone who doesn't know who who the ball is is a is a Hollywood director Hollywood director from Germany who um made a bunch of video game movies and basically that's all that's all Studios allow him to make and uh he thinks his movies are really important

that all other movies are [ __ ] and uh he started a Kickstarter to try to fund what was it Luke uh Rampage Three yeah which he dubbed as a really two no now to be clear are these based on Rampage the video game I don't know it seems Rampage the old Nez game I think they they seem to be about a guy who goes crazy and starts hunting down rich people but okay uh yeah I don't know uh cuz I'm not going to watch them uh because well I find him funny his films generally aren't very good okay but what you're telling me now m is that his movies Rampage one and two aren't about a king Kong fighting a Godzilla no I'm almost certain that they are not all right well you've just ruined this whole thing for

me all right but should make that movie they did it's called um Pacific Rim SL also Godzilla no no I want the Rampage movie all right fine yeah that'll be all right oh you well you root for the monsters right here you put that on Kickstarter I'll I'll kick you I'll send you over a few bucks no you won't say you will and then you won't anyway he he's done with crowdfunding forever apparently now because he's had enough um I hope so we can we'll link to the video in the show notes you can check out his uh his message to everybody um it's pretty amusing it's uh highly amusing actually and he then goes on in another video

shortly afterwards to give his opinion on Hollywood in general and in particular George Clooney um Angelina Jolie Jennifer Lopez and a few others man he hates he hates gets a little racist for part of it couple parts of it I think you find yeah it's fairly racist I think when he went on his rant he was at about €25,000 about halfway to his goal of 50 he got an extra 10 after this okay but still not enough to actually reach the goal no no no so I wondered if it was a publicity stunt if the whole thing was him cuz he he knows that this kind of [ __ ] when he when he does this he gets attention like when he F those people in a boxing match and when he last blew his [ __ ] about something so

maybe Michael ba back and forth yeah that's right but no I really thought it was him trying to get word out about it cuz i' had not heard about this Kickstarter at all until I heard this yeah no same the out with this yeah but didn't work out for him this time but the thing that I think was a bit annoying for me was when like he's got I've got enough money I can play golf all time why don't you fund your own movie cuz he hasn't got that much money I think and also he doesn't want to waste his money on a film cuz he knows the film W make any money back now here's the thing if you've got a film that you want to get made and the studios don't want to make it and you

take it to the audiences directly and you say Studios don't want to make this do you guys want to see this and the audience resoundingly say no we don't we don't give a [ __ ] about Rampage twice yeah then you really can't start complaining that there's like bureaucracy in the way of you achieving your vision right well you got to think like this is also Studios if this was a good movie with one and two being made shio love to make sequels yeah if they were good they would have given him money and they've given before this one must be [ __ ] awful yeah cuz he's done House of the Dead Two exists he's done um far cry's got a couple of sequels apparently couple of what's that one with Farmer John farmer the farmer oh in the Name of the King yeah in the Name of the King

and then in in the name of the queen or whatever the sequel was called In The Name of the King to I think starred Dolph lren and he traveled back in time and had to kill a dragon well see that sounds all right that's what the movie you're trying to talk me out of this Matt you're not doing a good job because that actually sounds pretty good oh and also he made um blubberella yeah he made blubberella which is a piss take about the Nazi concentration camps then he went ahead and made a real movie about the Nazi concentration camp straight after in which he played one of the guards but the man is [ __ ] Bonkers like he's insane yeah no that's definitely true that's definitely true did you notice and I liked this little touch in the video

that he put on YouTube this week where he's losing his [ __ ] there's a framed photo behind him of him beating the [ __ ] out of that critic in that boxing ring yeah I know like just to remind everyone if you criticize me I will literally beat the [ __ ] out of you see that's why I wonder if it's all just a joke and he's he's just like the world's biggest introspective comedian like Andy C because I yeah exactly I've talked about this before I think the special edition of House of the Dead with the commentary by him where halfway through the commentary he's talking about the film his phone rings he answers the phone and for about 10 minutes has a conversation in German on

his phone with somebody hangs up and says oh sorry about that that was uh that was my manager Andy he's a good guy and it just starts talking about Andy for 10 minutes and then eventually gets back to to the movie It's the weirdest thing yeah that sounds pretty weird like it's worth listening to for for the laughs but so strange yeah that's for for which one house of the dead yeah House of the Dead yeah yeah right yeah and now just to be clear that's the that's the film based on the video game that incorporates footage from the game into the film yep yeah yes it is that old Chestnut classic it's [ __ ] ridiculous if you remember House of the de it's that that arcade game you actually sit in right yeah yeah yeah and just in case you're

wondering it's not good so I just want to be clear about that it's worth watching because though yeah that's right it's only worth watching because it's awful what's more also did an edit of it called what do he call it the silly version the funny version the fny the funny version yeah where he he hases into the film shows the same three scene three times over was just something slightly different and singing and the out the outakes are edited into the film yeah yeah yeah but the weird part about that is is it in a kind of like Bizarro George Lucas kind of way he tries to imply that that was the film he wanted to make all along yeah I know so weird like no you didn't yeah it's a bunch of outakes well look like I said I I wonder

if it's all just an act i i quite I find him very entertaining and I've i' I'm sure you mentioned before I've I've emailed him stuff before to listen to Just because I'm I'm I just really want to know what he thinks well Matt here's the question for you has he seen the ey summon yes he has and what did he think of it and he said this was a good movie he if I Rec that was Verbatim what he said about the last movie we sent him but I'll take that and in fact I'm going to put that quote on the poster yeah he uh he's a man of few words or he just didn't bother and he just replied it could be that I and let me just let me just make sure I'm quoting him correctly for the poster oh cool movie sorry cool movie I like that

even better cool yeah cool movie all the best regards Dr uall that's right he's a doctor yeah he's a doctor of English literature look speaking of movies made by doctors right yes [ __ ] Mad Max Fury Road oh did you see it [ __ ] yes I did holy [ __ ] holy [ __ ] that was an absolute Triumph yes man good I'm glad you liked it did you see it Luke no I haven't got to see it yet all right then let's not discuss it until Luke has seen it as well but suffice to say discuss away Meers go for it there's not the spoil there's no the main

attraction that's right it's basically about it's a little story like there's a story there and it's it's fine yeah but it's mostly about um cars crushing exploding and uh and a guy with a flamethrower guitar and a truck with a bunch of Tao drumers on the back of it yeah like now no cars explode into motorbikes but um they do explode into various other ridiculous kind of results so Dave might want to stay away from this one if he's looking for some probably poetic realism so this is uh for anybody who doesn't know Mad Max is a series of films uh Australian films the first film was made for such a small budget like $

30 something th000 um and became such a hit that it was actually in the Guinness Book of World Records for a very long time uh as the most profitable film until Blair Witch Project came along oh wow I did not know that yeah so um and watching it now you can kind of see that there's not a lot not a lot of money put into it not much to it is there no but at the time I mean the thing about it is that it's got a bunch of crazy stunts in it and I guess the the most the biggest thing about that is that they're real it's not yeah not a lot of special effects and they're real because they couldn't afford to do them in special effects that's right so when you see they smashed up a bunch of cars yeah so

when a when a guy on a motorbike crashes into a car and goes flying across the Bonnet into a brick wall that really happened and they filmed it and they went through so many different stunt men on this because like they could only last an average of one stunt before they were injured to the point of being replaced by another stunt man that's right and there's a very famous uh sequence in it where uh a car is smashed by a truck um there car or motorbike might be motorbike actually at the end the car I think is in the second one but uh for the scene the truck they they couldn't afford to buy a truck to smash so they rented a truck but that meant that they couldn't afford to actually damage the truck so uh if you look uh if you watch the film towards the end there

you you'll see the scene it's like the kind of the big action um set piece of the film uh a guy and a motorbike gets hit by a truck and if you look closely you'll see that the front of the truck is actually a big panel that's been mounted on the front and painted to look like the front of truck look like more truck exactly so that they could safely smash the bike without damaging the truck behind the panel yeah so so good yeah pretty cool but yeah so the first one isn't even futuristic and no no I mean it's it's set in the near future but it's not but it's it's really just about kind of gangs and stuff and it's not till the second one the road warrior that it really gets its Mad Max token look and

feel and that movie is [ __ ] terrific yes and road warrior as they call it in the US uh madmax 2 I think it was just called here um cuz I think the other thing actually you should know about Mad Max is that I didn't know this but apparently the version that went out overseas was redubbed um and that every everybody has American accents in it because they couldn't understand what anyone was saying no and there was a a thread that I looked at on um something awful where people were talking about it and somebody posted a link to the you know the the Night Rider the the the scene the guy at the start that plays chicken with Max there's a scene oh yeah yeah yeah I'm the night rer that guy yeah um yeah I think his name's Night Rider

anyway uh American version in the car yeah that's right apparently the US audiences couldn't understand a [ __ ] word that guy said and they linked to a clip of the Australian version and the Americans were like I would not have watched this film if he sounded like that wow if everybody talk like that yeah so did Mel dub himself because you know he uh possibly I don't know that but yeah probably yeah but yeah they're all redubbed with American accents so that exists I didn't know I've never I've only ever seen the Australian one obvious obvously yeah so have I uh yeah and so Road Warrior uh it's set after a nuclear war and water and fuel or guzzoline as they call it are the the most uh valuable substances on

Earth and Max travels the Wasteland um trying to well it's not really clear what he's trying to do trying to survive he's just trying to survive he's not he's got a little bit of a Redemption quest going going on for his wife and his his son who get killed in the First on just keep ask do [ __ ] he just wants to be left alone but did you notice I mean so as far as I'm aware the new one Fury Road yeah is a is is it's sort of a sequel but it's also it's different because it seems pretty clear in it that he supposed to have had a daughter yeah um which is different um and they don't mention his wife at all and no and I was trying to figure out whether that was supposed to be his daughter or supposed to be one of the kids from be on Thunderdome yeah or even uh the kid the

feral kid from Road Warrior or something I I don't know I apparently George Miller said it's just a story in that world okay um I actually like that instead of trying to do a reboot and start the story again just go make a movie and just let people work it out for themselves yeah well I guess the problem I mean I I really loved it like I I [ __ ] loved it and I want to watch it again yeah generally didn't but she hadn't seen any of the others and I think um it's not so much that like she thought that she was missing out on stuff because that stuff wasn't explained like with the little girl like he was his Visions it wasn't that we knew EXT information we just knew you weren't getting anything else yeah that's right and so I think I mean

like I said she can speak for herself but I think she found it a bit frustrating CU she didn't understand what the [ __ ] was going on but cars were smashing into each other Jenna that's what was going on yeah yeah that's even if you watch like all the other Mad Max movies they don't follow on from each other no real story what's his name Bruce Spence Bruce Spence the very tall man Bruce Spence from the second one y he well he plays the gyro captain in the second one and then he plays the pilot in the third one not the same character but they look exactly the same because he's a weird looking guy exactly you something interesting about this um Byron Kennedy who produced the first mad maed movie died in a helicopter crash straight after they

finished filming and yet he is credited as the producer on all the subsequent Mad Max films including Fury Road really yeah interesting is that just like a like a memorial kind of thing I not well I me you could read it that way or you could read it in that it was produced by a ghost the ghost of Byron Kennedy has been haunting the Mad Max sequels or his will stated that his his money would go to to fund future Mad Max films oh man U ball should do that yeah we'll get a bunch of Rampage movies from here until eternity so yeah madx Fury wrote is basically a bunch of [ __ ] amazing action sequences yeah but you know what it's not there's been a lot of in uh a lot of arguments on the internet saying that it's a it's feminist propaganda

whether that's good or whether that's bad I'm here to tell you uh conclusively it's not uh it's not a feminist movie it's just a movie uh and the women in it aren't stupid uh if that makes it a feminist movie then fine it is but it's not trying to make you [ __ ] think anything it's just trying to make you enjoy watching car crashes all right in fact I would say it's fairly I mean furiosa is a very strong female character but there are some not so strong female characters in it as well that are I I would I would have thought certain things in this film would have pissed off feminists so but you got to jump on only one bandwagon Matt that's the thing and uh true you got to pick your bandwagon right at the start so yeah well I I just remember we talked

about this already that guy who said that it looked like feminist propaganda because furiosa tells him what to do for half the film I didn't find that to be the case either they were no but that wasie by someone who hasn't watched the movie that's true he seen a couple of trailers he's done what we usually do yeah that's right so we can't fault him on that but honestly dude if you're listening he doesn't so don't worry about it go and see it you'll [ __ ] enjoy it yeah it's [ __ ] awesome yeah some of the [ __ ] stuff and and the other thing I want to talk about too is I I've complained a lot about action in modern films about how you don't get to see what's happening like this is like the [ __ ] antithesis of what I was complaining about this is everybody this is what I

want from Antion I want to see the [ __ ] cars yeah like from a good angle like get back a bit and show me that dude [ __ ] leaping onto the car with the explosive [ __ ] Spears or whatever and I want to see like I want to see it it's [ __ ] how they've worked out how everything needs to work as well you know what I mean it's in the future and everything's a bit [ __ ] and they've still got a bunch of vehicles that they've taken apart and put together into other vehicles and everything works you know yeah they got vehicles that HW onto other vehicles and they've got these little things that they've made that look like they've been taken off Harvesters that like plow them into the ground to slow the vehicle they're

trying to latch onto down and everything you feel works it's like that there's that silly stuff in the Fast and the Furious the like in the first film where it didn't make sense because you know they were trying to hijack a truck but it was like why I just I haven't seen it Matt I honestly haven't seen okay the very first fast and the furious they try and hijack this truck I'm like just make the truck stop like whereas the world of Mad Max it makes sense that they've all their stuff is engineered towards exactly towards [ __ ] highspeed desert based combat yeah [ __ ] me yeah yeah so good speaking of uh wastelands and uh post-apocalyptic

stuff um yeah you guys know that I've I'm going to have to buy a PS4 or an Xbox one now don't you oh yeah yes um and for those those of you who don't know I was I was holding night on the P the P station the P station I was holding out on the Playstation 2 for quite some time going no this will do me and everyone had upgraded to the 360 and I held out until something changed and that thing was Fallout 3 Y and then I had to buy the 360 I had no choice and I've had my 360 for a few years now and I've you know I've resisted upgrading because who really cares and who needs a newest console and [ __ ] these games they're all boring and now they've released or announced that they're releasing Fallout 4 so I've got no

choice man I've got to I got to get a new console what are you going to get I don't know I mean I kind of should we get the listeners to advise you yeah I mean if well here are the pros and cons for me right mhm if I get an Xbox One you guys have Xbox Ones right yes yes so theoretically we could uh we could play some online games right mhm sure that is a possib we don't do that because we're never online at the same time yeah I mean how many times in the history of US playing games have me and either of you played an online game together right probably never oh we played we played Red Dead a couple times I think oh that's true we did yeah and Dave and I have have played a couple of

uh you know old school games of [ __ ] Doom death match and and whatnot but um especially since usually the three of us are in different time zones it's just that's not enough of a factor to go the expone sure no that's fair PS4's out there it's got uh got the last of us which I've been curious to have a look at yeah but I don't know man I mean look if if you're the owner of either these consoles and you feel strongly either way write in Dan multiple nerdgasm tocom or find us on multiple nerdgasm on Facebook or M nerdgasm on Twitter and let me know what you think I should buy because I've got from now

until the [ __ ] game comes out to decide and I can't make up my mind on my own I think there is a slight technical advantage on the PS4 as in it's like slightly more powerful but uh I don't really care about that yeah so I'm not going to notice little details like that to the Xbox that's where I am that's where I'll stay just due to Halo and some of the other exclusives yeah I think really if if the more games you want are on the PS4 that's probably the way to go really only did I want two games sort of you know what I mean yeah because most things most the big ones most of the big ones will be on both and they'll be pretty similar like you'll never notice a difference I don't think well I'm not play them on both so I'm

never ever going to notice the difference I H I have heard a rumor that Silent Hills might be coming to the Xbox now ah or they have in the past interesting interesting so yes just something keep in mind yeah a rumor that I don't even know where I heard or if I damed it well that's solid evidence then you've dreed some great rumors though Luke you really have I have but but let's go back to Fallout 4 um probably when everyone's hearing this you got to have a lot more information than what we're going to be able to discuss cuz E3 is happening this oh yeah yeah but what do you think about them announcing it early um I think it was a good idea because they

got a couple of weeks worth of extra yeah uh excitement without anything else being announced right without the buzz of e3 yeah exactly it was kind of like an almost like they get exclusive Buzz for a couple of weeks before everybody else gets in on this on the show so I think it's a pretty good move what you guys think of the trailer oh man it looks sick yeah looks [ __ ] great yeah looks great uh set in Boston which is stomping ground ground that you've newly stomped on yeah's been there too yeah I was there Boston so Boston so yeah that's pretty exciting some uh some landmarks I recognize already in the trailer I would like them to do a non-american Fallout I agree actually even if it was just a spin-off like Fallout New Vegas I think a non-american Fallout just to to

cement in that this is happening all over the world I guess the only thing with that is Fallout on some level is very focused very or very yeah yeah the 1950s nuclear family yeah in in but that's where it could be nice CU it would be sort of a different spin on like what were the other countries doing y Fallout Nigeria nothing's [Laughter] changed like you like eating human flesh yeah I do so what the one all right con all right the one thing I'm hoping for since they announced it early is they'll come out at E3 and go hi by the way it's coming out this year yeah probably true it

looks pretty I mean it looks pretty it was wasn't it so I mean like one could have it looked like a game looked like something you could play I don't know maybe I really wouldn't to say look at it's available in stores now they won't say that we'll be lucky to get it October maybe no because they got to get their pre-orders in with their bonus [ __ ] oh stop with the pre-orders the only things you need to pre-order now I like Guitar Hero why do you need to pre-order Guitar Hero came out of [ __ ] they're the ones where they actually I know with rock band They very limited supply of the instruments to when it's initially released all right so that's locking down your instruments

with games though you walk in any day one and your copy will be there yeah yeah see I tend to I order stuff online and like for example with Witcher I pre-ordered it online because then I know they'll ship it a couple of days before they get it on the day otherwise digital downloads now just yeah that's well that's more expensive more expensive but I'm very lazy and I don't like to change this I am too but it's installed ready to go so at 12:01 the day it's released I can play the game well I still want to try and I haven't done I still haven't bought anything digitally but I don't have another Xbox either I still want to try out this thing where apparently you can have if you buy digital copies you can play them on more than one Xbox in

your house like like at the same time why would you ever want to do that because Jenna might want to play as well yeah so by one copy of the game both of them can play oh right like you [ __ ] One controller in each hand I'm imagining you there just going I have the power Dan you've never played Fallout show not the way I played it you know what I'm really looking to to about Fallout our conversations again yeah remember when Fallout 3 came out and we just spent hours talking about what we were doing in those games so it was kind of like Skyrim have another Skyrim Skyrim scy real estate we were just talking about what houses and which [ __ ] we had married yeah that's right Al there was a huge conversation because all of us have done that Quest where you

have to find that guy's missing goat right which came out of [ __ ] nowhere yeah so I'm hoping this will well of course it will it'll have the same funny stuff in it that yeah the others do they're great games I like that they've kept that sort of humor that they had from the original Fallout yeah exactly like oh yeah wouldn't be Fallout without it and they seem to have done with Fallout 4 what they did with Fallout 2 which is not upping the anti on say the graphics to the point where looks like a new game they're just expanding the world yeah I think it's in um it's in the Skyrim engine now so that should look nice and it should look nicer on on the new gen consoles I guess but it's not it's not like mind it's not the I don't think it's going to be as as

attractive looking as The Witcher 3 is or something like that so what about who's more attractive Matt oh geralt's geralt's very sexy you know speaking of sex you guys no sorry Matt go on I was going to say you guys have't played Witcher 3 yet have you no no no you missing out I I'll be playing Lego Jurassic Park first for [ __ ] sake Luke I love Lego games it's not my fault has anyone seen Jurassic world yet no I'm going this week okay yeah I don't know if I am I don't know if I am cuz it's very expensive to go to the movies and it's gotten mixed reviews yeah people have some people have said oh it's great and some people have said eh it wants to be like the first one but it's not so speaking of which I uh I don't know why I did this but in

anticipation of Jurassic world I decided to work my way through the old the Jurassic Park film right and I've seen Jurassic Park a lot so I didn't need to watch it again to recap I got that down but I've only seen the lost world one time at the movies same I think back in came out me too yeah correct and so I watched it for the second time and holy [ __ ] it's a terrible movie like it's so terrible I I don't know where to begin talking about how terrible Jurassic Park 2 is like the characters are ridiculous they make no sense the dialogue is stupid um Goldblum is in it but he's playing a totally different character like he just

he he just doesn't play it the same as he played it in the first one and maybe you could say that he's suffering from some kind of PTSD or something but he [ __ ] phones this in is it Spielberg it's Spielberg producing which just means that am and entertainment distributed it do you know what I mean like it doesn't mean Spielberg is actually involved um another director there's there's actually a point at the moment where Ian Malcolm is no wait Ian Malcolm's who what's the old man from the first one John Hammond John Hammond sorry where John Hammond says that he needs five people because he lives in the film I keep he dies in the book I always forget that he lives in the film yeah so Goldin comes

in it's like the second scene of the movie and goldim comes in to um Hammond's bedroom and he's there and he goes I need five people I know bit weird um I need five people to go back to Jurassic Park it's a different [ __ ] Island and there's new dinosaurs and he goes I'm not going to go and and then through [ __ ] I won't get into he talks him into it and he says he will go and then Hammond counts on his fingers how many people are now going and like Chuckles to himself that now he's got five like that's the caliber of script writing in this movie terrible I was blown away by how bad it was and I don't know if you guys remember that gold Blum has a daughter in this

movie who stoes away onto the island and no one notices she just says she wants to come the dad says she can't you never see her again for like four scenes and then suddenly she's cooking scrambled eggs inside one of the vehicles that's on the island like they didn't even look for her to say goodbye or notice that she wasn't around or check any of the vehicles before they left and she ends up fighting uh dinosaurs with gymnastics too if you remember that yeah she kicks a raptor in the face yeah kicks it right out of a window yeah [ __ ] stupid what oh god I don't remember that movie at all it's really forgettable it's really forgettable I just remember being being very disappointed that there were no

pterodactyl in it yeah well they brought pterodactyl into the third one yeah there actually terod in the book and I remember that I went to the movies thinking I'm going to see them and no they skipped that they hadn't worked out how to do them yet no but it's amazing that they were able to make the original Jurassic Park look at computer game Graphics back then and then look at Jurassic Park oh I know it makes no sense how they're able to make that well they actually Spielberg said he didn't want any computer Graphics right cuz ilem had said oh we can do some of this in puppetry we could do some in computer Graphics he was like I don't [ __ ] think think so and two dudes from ilm went and in their own Spare Time created um I forget whether

it was the T-Rex or one of the Raptors but created it in 3D and then just came into a meeting snuck in while Spielberg was looking at puppets one day and then just press play and he was like uh okay yeah I see what you mean yeah we'll go with that yeah cuz I know that that it's been a while since I've seen it but I think that's those dinosaurs look better than some movies we get to today oh I definitely age but you know what right Jurassic Park first Jurassic Park has 200 shots that are visual effects and then another contemporary movie that is not science fictional fantasy um uh an example I was reading uh social network right oh yeah has 2,000 shots that a visual effects of

what everything from making one actor into twins to changing the door knob on Harvard because they had to shoot at Princeton or whatever to changing the backgrounds of a city because they didn't shoot it in New York but it just goes to show like something like Jurassic Park needs so little visual effects compared to a regular run-of-the-mill movie today yeah yeah well how many I wonder there are some visual well sorry some computer generated effects in Mad Max but I wonder how much of it is and isn't yeah cuz I I know a lot of it isn't I've been avoiding uh behind the scenes videos for the last two weeks that it's been out and I haven't seen it but now's going to

come the time to really soak that [ __ ] up yeah I'm going to get on definitely going to buy that on Blu-ray and watch all the behind the scenes cuz yeah I want to know how much that stuff blowing up was real yeah what it looked like a lot of it was was real so well that's what I've heard that yeah it was a lot of live AC and only three St men got injured that was all is that right that was all very different to their original film yeah so there's a great photo uh of George Miller during the filming of the original Mad Max and it's him uh riding behind someone else on the back of a motorbike with the [ __ ] camera like perched on the back and that's how they filmed it yeah he's just like [ __ ] holding on at the back going yeah

[ __ ] let's go yeah and there's also this great behind the scenes of the second film where um uh George Miller is sitting next to Dean semler the doop and they're like in a hole with the camera poking out filming this motorbike riding past doing a jump and then crashing and it happens like planned it looks spectacular but the the rider comes down like right on his neck and then um Dr George just runs into the shot and starts performing um like emergency uh first aid because he is a doctor yeah right yeah he was an he's actually the most qualified person on the set to deal with an emergency yeah he said they said a lot of the uh gruesome stuff is based on his experience yeah in the emergency rooms

yeah that's interesting there's a great stunt in the second one where I think a guy comes off a bike and um shoot he flies over a car and he Clips his legs and does like it does like a flip yeah um that yeah he wasn't supposed to hit the car and he broke both his legs but it looks great yeah you know what that might even be the shot I was talking about it could be it's like it looks pain literally spins in the air yeah that's right it looks really painful cuz it was yeah they left it in yeah yeah so good speaking of people that didn't survive ah can I assume you mean Christopher Lee yeah Christopher Lee Christopher Lee dead of died at 93 yeah he did well he held out but

he is dead now uh but what a life ehy [ __ ] hell this guy I didn't know a lot of this stuff uh there's been a few articles about the crazy life that he had and we'll link to one in the show notes um but man he had some crazy [ __ ] happen in his life that I didn't know about because he didn't even start acting until he was 25 yeah and before that uh he was in the army and he fought in World War II yeah and he he killed a bunch of people yeah and there's some pretty ridiculous stories about his War efforts as well yeah that's right um uh also apparently at the age of 17 he witnessed the death of murderer Eugene Weedman in Paris uh the last person in France to be publicly executed by

guillotine wow yep at 17 he saw some dude get decapitated yeah wow yeah was that still just a a way that executed and was it still a public event yeah wow yep the last last one Jesus so yeah he uh he fought the Nazis in North Africa in the Army um I like how he clarified in the Army you didn't just go there right it was such a bad he dressed up he got his Dracula gear on and he went fought the Nazis do you reckon they'll bury Drac cap they with b i reck he'd be pissed off if they did yeah I re he would be too maybe they could bury him in his um Lord of the Rings gear instead yeah or his Count Dooku gear yeah his his walking stick

light saber yeah he's got uh the most film credits ever I think or he did have he was in the guess Book of World Records for it so he's not proud of a lot of them though no he's not he did apparently when he want he wanted to be in Lord of the Rings so badly that he agreed to do some awful film I can't remember the name of it but because he got to play a wizard The Hobbit so that he could no uh this is before that so that he could send it to them and say look I could play a wizard I can be a wizard Y and then they said had to do a movie couldn't you just rented a costume and going in that's his life that's his life I guess he's like how am I going to convince him I'll just do some other

film like he does films that's how we convince it yeah I'll say yes to one of these thousands of films people keep asking me to be in I was reading an interview with him the other day where he was saying that um the Wicker man he counts as his most uh proud acting achievement oh okay [ __ ] I haven't watched that in ages I know neither did I H cuz I I don't remember it being that good no not like the Nicholas Cage one the Remake the bees the bees how get burn how get burn how to get burned how to get burned honestly terrible movie what the [ __ ] was with the Nicholas Cage years like the years that he was like a mega star what the

[ __ ] I wonder if he's just a weird guy or if he just like like it's like that College Humor sketch where he just says yes to everything they offer him cuzz he was in some weird [ __ ] did work for him for a long time yeah like he's it was a [ __ ] aist I mean he's a joke now but he should have been a joke then too right yeah oh well well he's still alive so that's good Christopher Lee if he was dead we wouldn't know no true it's not like there's a lot of Nicholas Cage news suppose do I have a jingle for Nicholas Cage news oh no we don't need one never mind forget it if you do do a jingle for Nick Cage news you need to do it like a Nick Cave song [ __ ] so it's got to be like 20

minutes long and tell a story yeah yeah all right deess I'll see if I can do a short see if I can do a short something like that yeah well Nick Cage walked into the room and he asked of his manager is there any Nick Cage news Nick Cage's man turned to Nick Cage and said of course there's Nick Cage news Nick Cage is the biggest movie star in the whole wide world and things are only going to get bigger now take a look at this script right here about a manm made [Applause] of and then we'll just have to keep an eye out for some news yeah yeah that's right no because it's hopefully it'll be too long for us to use ever again that's right like Dave's uh guess that game

jingle I thought that was pretty funny but which is inserted here gu that game it's a fuing [Music] oldo I thought that was funny but people didn't want to hear it twice in the same they people wrote in and asked just never to play it again we played it twice in one episode and we got complaint mail people don't bother to ride in when we've got competitions with great prizes they ride in to ask us never to play Dave jingle again that's the internet oh man so anyway Christopher Lee uh he was a big Lord of the Rings fan he was a big nerd so uh I think we can make him geek of the week I think so what do we want

we what do we want for Christopher Lee geek of the week jingle oh man we've got to we've got to do one like Christmas death medal up sure yeah I yep all right absolutely and here it is [Music] Christopher of the we old age or was it AG you shall not oh wait that's the other guy [ __ ] well Matt I I can tell you enjoyed making that more than any other jingle yeah and it a might I say it was a fitting tribute to Christopher Lee to the man Christopher Lee dead of AIDS at 93 and an extended version of that song will be on the YouTube at some point when I feel like it yeah I've just

decided right now in advance that I'm going to do that go to uh SoundCloud SLB braf for the uh the full clip yeah absolutely oh okay remember the serial podcast that we all went on about for a while yes I don't know if you signed up for the survey I don't know what that is they got they had a survey that you could sign up for and then they're going to sort of send you out um try and get some information out for you before they go into the next serial podcast in other words I had no ideas and wanted to see what people were expecting them to do well basically they sent out the email to go hey here's a Serial and it actually ended up with be look we want it to continue to be free so please complet the and so basically they can

use it for marketing sure so they can around hey we've got all these listeners can you please sponsor us yeah um so I went to go do it and it was full oh well okay so it's just that looks like that getting another one very soon we've got enough feedback going to Ser pretty much that yeah we've got due to overwhelming demand we could not possibly ask you another question I hope one day that we have a survey of what our listeners want and we have to to turn around and say sorry it's full yeah that'll never happen too much content I will never want to hear what our listeners well actually that leads me sort of into something I wanted to mention uh that's our patreon if you if you enjoy the show head over to patreon.com multiple nerdgasm you can uh

support us with a couple of dollars or a dollar if you want every episode uh basically we'll just take a dollar off you for every episode we put up and that'll help us you could you could give us $5 an episode if you want it you can give us a C note for every episode and have a look on there because the more you do give us per episode uh you get some fan fancy stuff like for example if you give us $2 an episode uh you'll get uh one of those covered multiple nurgaz and mugs yes and which reminds me I need to send some more out yeah because we've got uh some people off the patreon are getting some and I think some other people as well how much do we have to how many episodes do we have to do before it's it's worth our while buying these mugs for people that

are only paying $2 per I don't know if we want I don't know we want to talk shop on the podcast but it's never stopped us before so I'll say hemorrhaging money with these mugs I'll say this yeah there you you really could screw us in the ass I mean I'll say this You' you've you're making some money on these mugs which is which is like 100% on the money that we're making when we were just [ __ ] sending these mugs willly nearly that's right so yeah so at least we get something now but yeah I mean no no no obviously $2 doesn't cost doesn't cover the cost of a mug but we're hoping you'll stick around for more than one episode yeah so doesn't cost the doesn't cost yeah cover the cost of shipping the mug so yeah please continue yeah and the money that we get

from patreon is supposed to cover the costs that we're already wearing for producing this podcast all right so I just need you guys to remember this before you start do you remember what happened with the kickstarter right we raised $500 and it cost us more than that to buy everyone's hoodies and t-shirts sh them out all over the [ __ ] world right yeah I I remember d i remember um but here's the thing I feel like I feel like $2 is pretty generous for someone to come along and say I'll give you $2 for every episode that's $2 a week it's pretty generous I agree so and and I think if those people are gonna if sending them a mug encourages them to stick around and continue to pay his $2 a week then I'm

I'm okay with I'm okay with that that's fair they stick around and and we don't end up all going bankrupt in fact I'm going to go ahead and say that if you've signed up to patreon to donate uh $2 per episode right which is potentially uh you know 100 bucks a year right then don't tell them that then you should be considered a platinum member of the multiple nerdgasm Club yeah yeah and you should uh you should reap the benefits of that and those those benefits are just a mug oh okay maybe a shout out maybe a shout out on the show because I know we've had some uh some $2 donors right yeah all right well we'll organize that for next time I'll get a list together actually I'll give you I'll give one now

because I I think I can think of it because uh it's actually Chris whose mug was stolen previously listeners of you remember we sent a mug from doorstep that's right Chris from by a desperate multiple nerdgasm fan yeah so he's been kind enough to back us for $2 an episode so uh he's going to getug he's going to be getting another mug yeah well he's going to be getting a mug right yeah so the thief is getting another mug mug yeah so you're the thief get your get your thie in hands ready to snatch it up get your second mug and Chris when you when you get your mug fill it with your favorite hot beverage take a selfie and send it in to the multiple nerdgasm Facebook and we'll put it up in our Gallery yes please do we love it when that

happens So speaking of kicking in for stuff right yes um I do remember when Luke famously uh paid $30 to download an application form to uh to go to space right yes in the Mars one project project and uh he didn't go any further than that cuz he didn't fill out the form uh but then we discovered that that's probably not a real thing anyway so it didn't really matter another space related Kickstarter uh is a group of filmmakers who want to be the first people to make porn in space well more specifically they want to be the first people to [ __ ] in space and there's no point just doing it on their own cuz no one's going to kick in just to know someone did it so they're going to film sure and uh so I just

wondered Luke maybe this is something you're uh you're interested in kicking in okay do do I go or unfortunately you don't get to be on the short list un unless that is one of the stretch goals I'm not sure what to to sleep with the porn star in space yeah maybe they send more people up if you uh if you're a if you're a high level donor what's their funding goal $3.5 million well look I mean and they're not even trying to go to Mars they just want to put someone in low earth orbit but I mean you you still need $35 million for that y but this is sponsored by uh either pornhub or You Porn or porn tube or one of those PornHub it's PornHub yeah so you know if anyone's going to

get the word out there Eva louvia and Johnny Sins are the two porn stars in question and they oh there's [ __ ] some interesting uh packages you can purchase there's like a PornHub um gym bag which I'm sure everyone's going to want to be seen in public carrying around and um uh funny uh $150,000 is the top level that you can support them and you get one of the two space suits worn by the seona complete with underwear plus a swag bag great for cosplay and iasts all right but they have raised $119,000 in 4 days yeah of their $3.5 million goal though you know it's goes for what this is going to run for 60

days in total I reckon if it went for longer they'd probably get it h do they get the money anyway no I think it's I'm assuming this is like Kickstarter where it's oh it is it's fixed funding yeah some of them um some on Indi GoGo sometimes you don't have to but this is fixed funding look I'm going to go ahead and say that multiple nerdgasm is going to back this because in fact I'm going to go ahead and say that any dollar we get from patreon will be put into this we'll be reinvested yeah sure until until the time lapses not not indefinitely forever so so we're not going to make any money for the next two months oh this is cool this is interesting I'm going to I'm doing this

just because it's space I'll be honest all right so I'm I'm Googling both of these uh both these people now and it seems like they've got no experience uh being astronauts but some experience being porn stars yeah I think they have [ __ ] each other a lot they haveed yeah or have they they're porn stars maybe they haven't I assume that all [ __ ] all porn stars have [ __ ] each other they just get together and do it just to get open out of way why would you yeah you know sure okay so Eva Eva was the winner of the DP star 2015 competition right yeah cool um Johnny's been in the industry for over eight years so he's experience he's got a very impressive appendage under his

belt that's great I love it though when you when you Google Johnny Sins the first thing that comes up is did you mean Sin City 2 a Dame to kill for no I didn't I meant the man with a big [ __ ] speaking of men with big [ __ ] yeah what do you want to ask me actually I just want to talk about black people for a bit specifically I want to talk uh about the uh the leader of the National Association for the advancement of color people who I saw this who came out who was basically outed as being white this week yep so ridiculous yeah and then I'm going to say sorry who was

fooled like I mean maybe it's only was I know immediately I've never seen her before and then as soon as I read the headline and I looked and I went of course she is look at her well I mean I've got pictures of her here with her kind of hair in dreadlocks yeah right like a black person is want to do but uh basically when you see her not dressed up all negro she just looks like some white girl from the suburbs right and her parents have come out and said said well we're Irish German so I don't really know why she thinks she might be black she's she said that's that's actually my stepdad my real dad is black and then they her parents then produced a birth

certificate that proves that that is not the case yeah that is not your stepdad and she got uh she got interviewed recently uh where she was called out on it and they said you know we're we're wondering if your dad is really africanamerican and uh and her answer was this quote that's a very I mean I don't know what you're implying end quote and which they are pretty simple question are you African-American to which she replied quote I don't understand the question and then she walked off camera then to clarify he said your parents are they white and she didn't answer so strange fantastic I don't know I

mean that's so strange so her parents on her birth certificate are ruthan Shel and Lawrence Albert doal uh I mean they sound pretty white I guess yeah they're from Czechoslovakia I think is that where sure I think Czech is it hang on where's the birth certificate from on Montana [ __ ] Americans Lincoln count County Montana yeah but can be black man oh yeah no no I know I know do you they're definitely not chick Slovakian though is what I'm saying yeah I've got two of them in the house I two blacks two Americans two blacks so they're cleaning up are they yeah no they're in the basement they're not in the house D yeah they're in my Cotton

Fields so yeah that's interesting and I just like to point out as well this is not somebody who's just a member of this party or something this is the leader the president like how did what the [ __ ] so strange yeah doing I mean if she's doing if she's doing a job I guess it doesn't matter yeah does it so maybe it does matter you know maybe maybe maybe in order to represent the plight of the colored man you have to be a colored man you know what I mean maybe I wouldn't know experienced it I I think I think from what I've heard they don't really like us whes going into bat for him okay you know they don't want our help they just want our respect and they

certainly don't want us impersonating them to take jobs away from them yeah I mean I could be wrong well we'll see what happens to her do we know what's happened she been fired or what is going on with this um what happens to blacks when they get get in trouble prison I guess she's going to get her spine broken [ __ ] what what Jesus Christ you take racism to a whole other level man that kid not me that kid in [ __ ] um Baltimore that was that even on the news here I was what the [ __ ] you're talking about jeez really all right I'm sorry Baltimore the riots in Baltimore earlier this year when I was really no idea are you [ __ ] serious that when someone

got shot he didn't get shot right okay well this was all over the news when I was in America for obvious reasons I guess but in earlier this year in April when I was over there a young black man called Freddy gray was he was awarded down one he um he ran from police officers who then tackled him uh and through their treatment of him he had his spine severed and he died yeah was pretty full on and there were literally riots in the streets like they destroyed the city I can't believe this wasn't on the news cuz when I was in New Orleans of all places I walk into a pub and this was on the news and it was like [ __ ] the cities on like you know like cars overturned on fire and stuff and I'm like

oh oh dear right so I can't believe that wasn't on the news here that's interesting it was here okay just not in Singapore was that's right we got our own [ __ ] to work out here anyway that's what I meant I didn't mean that we should go around sing black people SP the spines broken no I was trying to think that was some throwback to like Colonial or something I'm anti-breaking people's spes in general and anti-racism in general unless it's funny yeah the spines or the race well I guess depends on the situation 1 2 3 they say I'm racist Cas but I love everybody

equally except the [Music] Jews that was a joke I love them to yeah actually it's funny being in a foreign country and and people go oh Australian and you're like yeah and they're like yeah for what I know you're a bunch of racists yep yep and I can't really say we're not cuz you know like very casually racist country yeah and not just casual I mean we had riots to try to keep lebs off the beach that's true you know what I mean some Le the beach but some people did I just clarify we didn't no multiple nerd gasm did not there yeah a bunch of [ __ ] did yeah they were carrying our flag we don't care who goes to the beach cuz we're not going to go well it wasn't

my flag until mono coming to our [ __ ] comic shop watch [Laughter] out well speaking of racism uh there's a game that just came out this week yeah um did anyone get a chance to play this going to talk about hatred no I haven't because not on the Mac so wa I haven't cuz it looks [ __ ] and apparently it is [ __ ] it looks [ __ ] but I knew you weren't going to play it and I wanted to review it for the show and I really did try to buy this I was going to pay real money to review this game but uh PC only so yeah not happening well there anyone know where you can buy it from it's on Steam I think isn't it yeah it's on Steam it's just PC

only yeah oh we might not actually have it in Australia oh I didn't even think of that yeah probably not can I buy it and gift it to you I know they've locked that down now yeah they they put a stop to that well look for those who don't know hatred is the game that we talked about on here before they put up a trailer it's basically you're a guy who goes mental and kills everybody yeah you kill everyone but apparently you kill blacks especially yeah yeah you break their spines extra it's like one of the only like three games ever that got a like a adults only rating for violence only yeah wow okay normally they get it due to sex or drugs or something like that yep well apparently it looked shitty but controversial and it is shitty and it's

not that controversial it's just a bad game where you run around and the goal is just to shoot people I mean that's fine I mean that's it's basically Halo you know and it does make it does make a lot of off-color jokes from what I hear and some of them did make people go oh oh all right really really like what um ah do you know what there was a train Massacre section um right that that set people off uh I don't know some people just said there were sections that that made them go sure oh all right really so I mean if if that was their goal fine I mean the best thing that they did was generate a bunch of publicity yeah because it's gotten way more sales I'm sure than it would have without it so yeah yeah good on him uh

apparently he's not very good not surprising though really it didn't look that good no no no but you're right I kind of did want to play it just to see but then the reviews were so bad that I was like I can't be bothered well like I said I tried to play it and couldn't so instead I just went back and played hundreds and hundreds of hours of Civ 5 well I've been playing Witcher 3 and oh I wanted to talk about this I forgot to put in the spreadsheet briefly have you guys played alien isolation no I played through the first two missions and then I stopped cuz I want toed dedicate time to it so no see I I started to play it and the look and the atmosphere of it is [ __ ] amazing it feels like I'm in Alien the movie uh and it was really cool and

then it's a stealth game right and I just got bored M like I can't I can't do it I get too impatient and I can't I get I just die R shoot because I'm like no no no well it's not even necessarily that it's just that it requires so much okay I'm just going to sit here behind this pillar until that guy goes away and then oh here comes his friend and then I'm bored now I'll be honest I kind of play a lot of games like that I'm a bit of a creeper you know in real life and in games so I just I find that I start I have such limited time to play games I start thinking while I'm waiting behind this pillar I could be playing The Witcher 3 your character in the game could be playing exactly and so I don't know it

is off stroo cuz I've got some Witcher 3 to play I think the reason why I haven't played is cuz it is that going to be that slow game yeah right whereas I'm just trying to play very quick games where I play for an hour and then I stop lately yeah like my sex L yeah we get bored after an hour and stop play for an hour and stop um different game every time I'll probably come back to it cuz it is it is like atmosphere wise and everything like that is great like all the ships just spot on it they did a really good job of all that it's just that the the speed of it uh I guess didn't suit me when I was trying to play the other day because I just kept thinking about Witcher three so and it

seems like a very slow stealthy kind of Moody game that I just I wasn't in the mood for I just wanted to hack up some harpies or something and then play a bit of Witcher 3 and then play Witcher 3 that's all for this week thank you for listening and we hope you enjoyed the show if you enjoyed it then please subscribe and items to receive episodes automatically we'll see you next time
