so last week I had mic problems and it sounded like I was recording the podcast from a public Men's Room you had a perfect mic your mic was doing exactly what was meant to do yeah it wasn't recording though and this week I have a cold the universe doesn't want me to ever sound good on this podcast look actually considering wasn't that bad and I'm pretty impressed with the mic on your laptop yeah not too bad I would have even I would have talked into it if I'd known it was recording that you know it's it's pretty good for just a laptop mic yeah sure but it sounded like I was phoning it in you know especially considering you have you know like mean not a super expensive but quite a nice microphone I've got a good microphone we all have them yeah we do

just uh don't get one yet do a couple of episodes and see if you like it yeah actually get a headset or something first that's probably the best place to start and then maybe move on to a mic cuz a headset you don't need you don't need mic technically go Turtle Beach if you're going to start start with Turtle Beach move on from there yeah or the Logitech one that we all had that was pretty good cuz with with a headset you don't have to worry about how close to the mic or anything you are it's just always there whereas with when you've got a mic you've got to remember you know where where to put your face basically that's true and remembering where to put my face is just not something I want to think about day to day no okay speak think about where to

put your face gone I've made a terrible mistake go on where did you put your face Luke where did you put no I was just reading through the articles in here and it's got Pokemon goo go nude photos is go Pokémon go nude photos is in your cat so I just type the nude Pokémon into Google search to see what pops up that was a mistake yeah let's find out nude Pokemon nude pokeon I mean that first article oh no go straight to images yeah of course nude Pokemon and oh right looks right what's what's wrong with this it's not Pokemon it's just it's just all the characters sorry guys I've uh I've got a I've got some stuff to do it is odd that that's that's what the first thing it shows up up on Google it's not even Pokémon it's uh it's

characters the human characters from the show well I mean do you want to see the actual Pokémon nude I mean aren't they nude anyway well I only searched out of curiosity I don't particularly care for either but I was I was expecting to see Pikachu oh I suppose they are nude aren't they it's nude anyway yeah good point all right hold on let me let me see if I can like maybe you need to be more specific sexy pikachu sexy pikachu yeah where did baby Pokemon come from there's some sexy Pikachu out there where did what come from baby Pokemon where did a baby Pokémon come from when a mommy and daddy Pokémon love each other very very much I mean I hatch my Pokémon out of eggs or I catch them I assume the eggs I mean the eggs come from Poké stops not

from other Pokémon so I don't know maybe someone's manufacturing them is this like the alien Saga where there's actually there's a there's a mistake in the life cycle yeah it's kind of a a weird weird you know life cycle that doesn't make any sense cuz one animal gives birth to a completely different animal and then that animal gives birth to an egg that hatches out the first animal yeah exactly it's there's an extra animal that only exists as the second of Three Links that's right and it kind of requ Cu they this is all I think they do actually explain it do they yeah are you talking about like where the queen comes from and stuff no I'm talking about why why why what do they what do they call that the Facey one no no no the oh just I mean they

they ref right the alien lays an egg right the egg doesn't contain an alien it contains a face hugger which then inseminates a host and an alien is born well it doesn't really inseminate it lays a creature yeah right mhm mhm y yeah so the face Huger is a separate species yeah it's a bit weird yeah I I understand now I wonder if is there anything in nature like that we've got some um some scientists that listen to the show if there's something in nature that functions like that right and let us know podcast at multipl nerdgasm tocom that's pretty interesting yeah I'd be interested to find that out all right

shape and one of them of course is a whole subreddit uh devoted entirely to nude selfies uh with Pokemon Pokemon yeah yeah or or some of them are just just sex just photos of people doing it and then oh look there's this Peach yeah oh she's getting ready to Squirtle yeah exactly what's the uh what's the Pokémon that looks like a dick Diglett yeah Diglett yeah L I've seen a lot with him yeah yeah it is a weird thing I had to look at that subreddit some of them seem to just be photoshopped which is fine it's still funny you know some of them might be might be legit which is also funny although it really I mean what the joke is over after the first few and you can it's okay to just post porn you know on the internet you don't need an excuse yeah yeah I wanted to I just took a

photo of me doing a misss with a Pokemon in it and the only reason I did it is because of the Pokemon you know you don't have to you don't have to do that you want to post some pixie you and your you and your lovely lady go ahead you're trying to get people to send [ __ ] in again then podcast multiple nasm.com that what that to the podcast you don't that one go to your private email no no no wait wait I think Matt's on to something there I think uh I think if you are playing Pokémon go uh and you have taken a screenshot of a Pokémon in an unusual place place or your anus on an unusual part of your body then um yeah just send it in and uh maybe we'll give you a little prize for the most creative all right we'll figure out what

the prize is well so that's a craze uh catching Pokémon in in appropriate places is also uh a bit of a bit of a thing at the moment I've seen a couple of these inappropriate places other than on a naked person correct like saywitz ah yeah now now I blame the uh the developers of this game for allowing [ __ ] Pokémons to just be put [ __ ] anywhere well I I I can explain how this would have happened if you want oh can you do it without using the phrase the [Laughter] Jews uh yeah probably so um the Jew ah damn it no um the the game prior to Pokémon go uh that we talked about last week Ingress the same company made a game called Ingress which is similar to

Pokémon go but it doesn't include Pokémon um and it actually had a a feature where you you tagged or submitted locations that were significant and they became part of the game and when they made Pokémon go they used the data that they had from the previous game to place the gyms in the Poké stops and stuff so the reason you've got places like ALS schwitz and that guy's house that used to be a church and then uh Luke you've probably noticed you know like graffiti that's interesting will get tagged or just weird random things that are that are of interest in your neighborhood will probably have a poké stop or a gym and that's because in Ingress somebody tagged them as as a point of Interest so that's the boring reason why

okay why there are Pokemon in a schwitz but I think I can understand and I don't have a problem with people like getting it while they're there and stuff I think the dick move is to take photos of it to yeah in a comical way yeah yeah it seems a bit inappropriate she seen us which she's actually seen it at people's funerals and things where it's hey and but it's been around for a while people just taking selfies with a dead body yeah yeah what's with that yeah I saw that uh that girl it was a photo of her with her Granddad the open open coffin selfie the [ __ ] yeah was can I ask what nationality that girl was um I'm going to be honest and say don't know I'm going to assume she was a young American okay sure uh maybe it's an

American thing but I I have noticed since I've lived over here in Southeast Asia that um someone in your family dies you you do put pictures of them on Facebook and really yeah it's uh it's a little creepy for me not used to that okay um but uh respect to them to do yeah well different cultures yeah but um having been to a former Nazi concentration camp myself oh no [ __ ] backstory needed Matt I've been I've been to daa and I just can't imagine being in a place like that and thinking I wonder if there's any Pokémon around like yeah yeah exactly it was not that was not my first

thought I did notice when we were there um it was a little little bit inappropriate people were closing the gate you know the gate that say it's got the the text above it that I believe says work will set you free generally that's what they said and um younger people were closing the gate and then having their friends take photos of them like God help me at the gate until Jesus until eventually people were like [ __ ] off [ __ ] knock that [ __ ] off stop doing that but yeah I mean they're not they're not happy places so yeah I do think it's a bit bit odd to uh to be whipping out your old Pokémon go at asz but I mean I guess I assume there must be a poké stop or a gym there it's probably been flagged as an an important location which it is you know yeah 6

million Pokémons died there what do you think is do you think it's do you think it's a pokker stop or a poker gym well I don't know does it say poker shower is that a thing or is the people just catching them yeah and just keeping them there oh dear yeah because which which concent it's aitz right yeah this the article mentions asit specifically I assume it again it's probably just been flagged as a point of Interest so something's there' be something s about there's probably a pokerus stop there so people are putting laws in and it's encouraging people to to C buttz is in Poland right uh yeah I believe that's right I didn't think they had Pokémon go in Poland yet well they must I guess they must do

that's a actually that is an interesting point I mean this is a vice article which is I mean Vice is some somewhat legit are they just dropping the gun well let's look let's find a list let's fact check this we've never done this before listeners stop playing Pokemon go while vising the holoc it must be must be true yes Pokemon go is live now in Poland okay yeah so uh yeah don't do that no yeah other people have said um the other places the Holocaust Museum Arlington Cemetery in in Washington DC Luke and I have been there uh again I wouldn't have thought to play Pokémon go there no I was too amazed walking around to even think about getting it out yep and that's why we've got to keep Luke busy that's why we've got to constantly keep him busy he was busy killing

time at Arlington uh the 9/11 Memorial and apparently South Kore Koreans are even flocking to a remote Village on the North Korean border to play Pokémon go Jesus so bringing people together in strange places y okay but that's not all um we've got some other P other Pokemon news uh well two men have F falling off a cliff apparently playing Pokémon go they didn't just wander off the edge apparently they ignored signs climbed over a fence because they wanted to try and get to a Pokémon and then slipped and fell or something like that so they didn't just BL walk off cuz I was going to say you can see through the camera right well you can see with your eyes if you and also um when I was playing it you turn that camera thing off that camera thing's fun for about a day and

then you don't need it any I turned it off because I'm parento that people are going to think I'm just filming and taking photos of them which is probably not true everyone just thinks you're playing Pokémon go because everyone knows now I know there were times where I was walking like I'd be walking past it to be like a play gym somewhere or a school in the background and this is too weird not yeah it's not worth the risk yeah I turned it off take some pictures of the beautiful little ones the beautiful little Pokémon I mean obviously of course um yeah so these guy two guys fell off a cliff um that's and I I did hear I haven't seen the article someone at work told me that they saw an article that that we have had a case the first case where somebody walked into

traffic yeah I heard I heard that some by a car I saw the video of it and I call fake oh okay yeah I've had a couple of videos shared to me oh look what happened to this guy while he was no these are these are fake F so yeah but really that's it is going to happen but it already happens now with people just on their phone yeah it does there's no difference to reading a text message or a tweet playing that game and if you got hit by a car right and the media said to you what were you doing on your phone you wouldn't go [ __ ] H hunting for a squirtle you like you you'd say something else yeah I was uh I was reading the New Yorker and uh I tried playing Pokémon go today uhhuh can't be bothered really I'm already over it I'm level 14 Jenna and I

went up to Auburn Central shopping center this uh after work today got a coffee and sat uh and used our lucky eggs to Double R XP for half an hour and caught a bunch of Pokémon it is an addictive game but when does it become fun I'm already having fun so I don't know what's wrong with you there's no game what I no I know it's very casual I think you're used to like achievements and and like a goal whereas this doesn't really have one it's just kind of a a thing I was trying to I was trying yeah well I was trying to explain it to a guy at work and cuz he was saying oh you just got to catch them all and I was like well no I mean there's GS and stuff and he's like well I mean but to win the game you have to catch them all I was like well you don't win the game once

you've got them all it doesn't go congratulations no once you catch them all they'll release more what what can you still do once you've caught them all oh you know what I actually don't care I've never played Pokemon I just don't I don't even know how the game works in it's kind of ongoing thing that you do I was just too old for it when it was coming out and I was considerably too old for it when it was coming out and I'm the same that as you no you're a year older than me I'm a baby well look is officially the biggest mobile game ever and it's not even out everywhere yet they held off on the Japanese launch this week because they were worried that they're all the servers are already being murdered by it's not out anywhere in Asia actually

um and the only reason that qu could even download the app here is because her iTunes account is an Australian account of course that makes sense yeah because we've have uh we have testers people test software in Malaysia and they're dying to play it but they can't yet so no they cannot so yeah biggest mobile game ever yeah I think I think they really underestimated how much just the Pokemon name was going to make this like [ __ ] huge yeah but I am going to be very interesting to see these same numbers in two months time doesn't matter man this this stock has gone up over 50% through the roof man it's crazy save [ __ ] Nintendo well I mean but if if I was these people who had Now's the Time to be selling it yeah cuz it's not going to stay there it's only going to

come down yeah well there's one more thing I wanted to to talk about we've got a link in there uh a company has made a poked drone which enables you to catch hard to get Pokemon um by um now I I need to I'm not quite sure how it works it's a drone like a you know like a hover drone thing uh and you can send it out to to catch Pokémon and so I don't know CU you don't put your phone in it so it must transfer the GPS sensor from your phone into the Drone or something like that you know what I mean cuz the way that Pokémon go works is via GPS you've got to be in the right spot like physically literally you've got to be in the spot so this thing must take over the GPS for the phone or something or this is just

perfect for Luke Luke you could just sit in your house yeah send it out go out I mean you could even send the Drone out to get one that's in another room if you're too lazy to get up that is something but what don't I just play a real game yeah do that I love this this is the um trnd Labs who've made this product say disappointment is all over the world when Pokémon occurs on your screen but in reality there's no way for the human beings to catch it the Poké drone is the solution that delivers the power of catching them all are some of these Pokémons put like up in the sky are they no it's just that um I mean it's random like it's it's you know there's some algorithm they could literally be anywhere in the stratosphere they can

literally well no no no I mean it's it's not um it's not three-dimensional as such like they you doesn't matter what elevation you are the Pokémon are just in a top down coordinate location you know what I mean like imagine it's Civ 5 and there's there's no concept of elevation but you've got a big grid that covers the whole world and the Pokemon in random locations around but if it's in the middle of a lake right you can't get to it unless you've got a poker drone that can fly out there and get it okay but yeah again I'm not sure how it works because it works off the GPS that's in your phone maybe you do put your phone on it but then how do you control it well I mean the pictures here they've got pictures and they got a video uh and it does not because the the

game still runs on your phone so right yeah anyway I cool [ __ ] yeah I don't know maybe it's a a fake product but cuz I know that someone made one but it was actually a drone and their phone went up into the sky and but how would you catch the Pokemon they I don't know I saw it and I think they had something that actually swiped for them I on that too maybe maybe I went to um oh on Sunday I went I go play board games at a a pub mhm and I went in there and the place was packed and normally there's probably about four times as many people there as there were normally this game speed up all sitting on their phones playing Pokémon and the guy who owns the place he's going cuz there's like three Poké stops like around this place so the guy

who owns a place is just setting laws every time they stop to just get more people to come and sit there and play games and drink yeah companies apparently are uh installing the game uh cuz you can buy lures with real money they're buying the lures and uh just keep in in stalling them themselves into the Poké stops that are nearby to bring more customers like cafes are reporting like huge increases in sales and stuff because of it well I mean we went to a cafe to this afternoon yep there you go wouldn't wouldn't have gone otherwise probably would have just had a coffee at home anyway I think that's all the Poke go poke go the [ __ ] am I talking about that's all the pokeo news that's all the Poke news we've got this Pokey week man who knows we might discuss it again next

week probably someone gets murdered over it yeah is that a threat oh there is one other there is one other article uh and that was in in Florida a gentleman noticed some teenagers skulking around in his street assumed they were up to no good so he armed himself and went out to see what they were up to heard them talking you got anything yet no you no not yet oh let's keep looking figured they were thieves right followed him around for a bit and when they got back in their car to drive off pulled his gun out and said freeze [ __ ] and they like oh [ __ ] and like drove off and he uh shot at them shot the shot the tire out put a few bullets in the car Jesus hunting Pokémon well if you are skulling around

in the undergrowth tempting fate he claims he I mean in Florida the law says if you believe you're going to um prevent a felony from being committed you are allowed to draw and potentially use your firearm and so that he's saying well he thought they were going to you know do a bit of burglary is that a FY well I think I think poent I mean he's not going to it's not going to work like they're going to say what what are they steal he's going like oh Pokemon no but surely they were property yeah but I think his his argument is going to be that he thought an America you're allowed to kill anyone that's on your property isn't that my understanding of American law some states that is sort of true oh yeah is that true in the state you're moving to

no no it's not so you're gonna have to find another reason to shoot them I'm gonna have to go into state so that is that is all the Pokey news this Pokey week with' Pokey got for Pokey you kill me before I Pokey say anything else get off this well there might be something out there that can help you with that and kill you what's that some Advanced robot start with you did you guys watch this video I did no I didn't get a chance it's quite funny so there's this there's this AI robot and it's it's it's quite humanoid I it's just a head right um but it's got skin yeah it can do some uh I mean it blinks while it talks so it it really does seem quite quite lifelike different facial expressions it can do and stuff it's it's creepy it's

very cool I mean and it's you know it's just designed to to interact with humans and to to learn and chat and grow and make us all feel good about robots so that we can use them as our slaves in the future but there was there's a video that's posted online we'll put in the show notes where the handler was having a chat with it and uh it said something about um you know I can't wait to to meet humans and he jov said well you're not going to destroy all humans are you and she just went okay I will destroy all humans and it was just this horrible moment where it's like the [ __ ] have you done don't don't give it ideas yeah stop stop talking about it like that we've had it's a lot of lot of robot Rebellion news lately it's not I hope this one

doesn't hook up with the one that's trying to escape this is the time mate you know that tried to escape a second time have we discussed this yeah you guys talked about this while I wasn't here [ __ ] me cuz yeah what we're talking about it's like that same unit yes and not I mean we talked about this but yeah they erased its memory and it still did it yeah yeah wow scary as hell not looking good for us humans no but we brought it on ourselves we sure did we sure did we signed up for it and uh we wouldn't know though CU apparently people don't read [ __ ] when they're signing up for it a study recently has told us what we already knew that whenever people sign up for something you know like on the internet

a service or or some install some software and the the it asks have you read the terms of service and do you agree to them and everyone goes yes they didn't mhm yeah 543 University students took part in this study and they were asked to sign up uh for a new uh social networking website called Nam drop that they they were led to believe it was real they were asked to agree to read and agree to the terms of service which stated that they were required to give up their firstborn child and if they if they don't yet have a firstborn child they have until 2050 to produce one it stated that the data would be given to the NSA and employers and uh everybody who signed up uh either read it and agreed or just didn't read it and I think well I think

there was very few people who were like hang on a minute all in all 3 99 of the 543 students didn't read it all together and just clicked the join option the bulk of those who did read it spent about a minute scanning it and then agreed anyway yeah I mean this doesn't tell you much because I mean those terms of service you couldn't read and comprehend them fully anyway and they're not they're not a legally binding contract exactly right not going to stand up it did just prove that even when they've got this ridiculous stuff in there people don't didn't even look I want someone cuz these the students I want one of them to get Knocked Up by accident right and then just rock up and go here it is take it you wanted it it's

your responsibility now but yeah like uh it always makes me laugh you know people post those things on Facebook that say I do not give you permission to to use my photos and blah blah blah I'm like that that's nothing no I mean look I have to write copyright on everything that goes out of my company and I want to know that that is not actually copyrighting it no no and like when you send an email it says if you're not the intended recipient you better unread what you just read yeah cuz it CU this message is at the bottom that's right it's a shame terms of service and all that it could actually be a good thing but because they have to throw so much in I don't think they're actually putting a lot of stuff in to hide it it's the fact that they have

to it's a bunch of ass covering yeah yeah yeah like so that if people go oh I didn't know know you're going to do that and they can say well you did cuz it was in this big wall of text that no one reads yeah it covers them sort of I don't believe it would be like how long would it take you to read them well it depends I guess like aren't they some of them like hundreds of pages yeah yeah yeah absolutely and again you don't know what's important there is a website that um they have people go through them and summarize them that actually I quite like that site so the website's to sd.org terms of service didn't read and um basically they go through all you know various websites and they summarize yeah so um for example uh at

the top obviously they've got Google YouTube um Facebook's on here uh twitpic um various services and they give them a rating uh theyve got like classes like Class B Class A Class C Class D based on how bad the privacy issues or whatever are so it's pretty good pretty good resource if you're worried about that stuff no one's going to do this anyway but it's there if you want I like the idea of it I won't actually do it no because here's the thing right if you're signing up for a service if all your friends are like oh join this new name drop thing and then you see something in the terms of service you're going to go well I'm going to do it anyway yeah like my friends are all on there I don't think anyone really gives a

[ __ ] no one wants my information anyway no they want to advertise at you that's basically what it is and I'm really bad at impulse impulse shopping that's why they say you mean you're really good at it yeah you're professional yeah I'm really good at it you're great at it yeah something pops into my head I Google it and I go yes I will buy that now that's why I'm waiting on a lot of deliveries to come over the next few months I looked at my Kickstarter I've got something like 40 things on the way have you kickstarted the Evil Dead 2 board game cuz I have son of a [ __ ] now let me double check listeners I want to know if you will still be able to back this by the time you hear this episode Evil Dead 2 the official board

it yeah I do tell me you like this I've watched two and a half episodes I was watching episode three and had to stop to come and do this podcast mate I've I've got two to go and I I think we should hurry up and finish this podcast because I want to go and watch it actually was going to watch one more last night and then I realized that I'd only have one to go and you can't leave it with one to go right that's right so for the listeners who don't know this is a new Netflix series and it is set in the80s and it is done like an 80s show it is great [ __ ] me the music is amazing the the photography is amazing the set design everything is 80s it's shot like an 80s movie and the [ __ ] even the kids right I don't know what it is the kids

they 80s kids yeah they look like the from The Goonies or something yeah they're just like and and they're really good actors yeah and the thing is like the the first episode I really enjoyed and said to me is it good and I said I don't know if it's good yet but I love it and I don't know whether I love it because of the Nostalgia factor or whether it's actually good and I'm to from the end and it's [ __ ] good yeah it's really cool I got to say the I think the weakest thing in it for me is one own a rider Yeah by by a long shot all she does is [ __ ] panic and Screech yeah she's not she's got work again yeah she's not great in this but I mean I mean well she's this is a bit of a Nostalgia putting the you know the ' 80s Golden Girl as the mom yeah yeah you

know yeah but yeah she doesn't she doesn't do a lot no I mean she's in it a lot she doesn't do a lot but I was trying to talking to someone today about it and I I was like it it it feels like the 80s but it doesn't have that you know when you watch an old 80s M some especially if it's one you haven't seen before from the ' 80s and it's just kind of a bit a bit [ __ ] this captures the 80s but it feel but it's like a modern show like it it doesn't have any of that at all like it's like it's like riveting modern style show you know it's quite fastpaced and You Know the Way shows are now they don't mess around yeah but it it just feels like the 80s yeah they've done a really good job so good it's so good so is this going to be like going to have a second season I'm going to

guess I mean it's pretty popular so I guess so yeah I don't know what the ending is about cuz with Netflix it's basically you get like their whole season in one go are seasons going to start happening faster now like I mean like instead of it being uh a whole year till we see another one are they going to start maybe seeing have like another 8 10 episodes in 6 months or something maybe it is interesting how that's all changed quite quickly where yeah cuz we don't need to it used to be that you'd wait your rating periods were certain times of a year and you'd have to have it ready so many episodes for this time stole them out week after week and now it's just like [ __ ] here it is watch all of it if you want yeah but then yeah cuz what's happened with like

some stuff like orang is and new black is a great example that's they do a series and they've been doing the last four years but it's still every June it comes out right why does it need to be every June just when whenever you finish it put it up well I mean there sh they have schedules for a reason I suppose but I I see what your your point yeah it's arbitrary is what you're saying I mean shows need a deadline sure but I mean it doesn't have to be like the oldfashioned TV schedule which is actually based around um when new cars are released what yeah is it yeah the origin back in the 50s when TV first got started they started seasons of things as new cars were rolled out so because cars spent the most on advertising and cars spent the most on TV advertising

that's fascinating yeah so the whole the whole TV season and seasonal breaks and seasonal breaks no new cars come out right huh that's really interesting I and I don't even know if they still have like seasons for cars they probably don't this is seriously from like 6070 years ago yeah I don't think people care about new cars models as much as they probably did back then no I think people have starting to work out that people would just sort of spend money any time of year now like it used to happen a lot with even with computer games yeah all the big hitters would come out you know like end of the year but that's starting to change with like there's some big things coming out beginning of the year in the middle because people have money

throughout well didn't they used to I mean Star Wars films traditionally always came out in May right right that's always been the case the first one that's breaking it is rogue srant rogue one yeah yeah and because well no no no cuz um Force awakens came out on boxing day the original Star Wars didn't come out in May either right it didn't I thought it came out just before Christmas it May 20th 1977 really CU I thought that was why empty boxes that they were selling they were empty boxes yeah but that was 6 months later yep huh yeah so I I I was wondering is is there something significant about that period and did films used to come out then and then now they've realized with because of Lord of the Rings and all

that kind of stuff that boxing day is a very very good Cash Cow yeah basically and I think yeah Force awakens was a bit of an experiment and it obviously was very successful I would have the for awakens came out in Christmas yeah didn't it no Maybe I'm Wrong the force awakens um December 17th yeah well I don't know for some reason I just had my head up B Christmas H maybe because I'm an adult without children so Christmas isn't that fun a I just got to work yeah spies don't get time off for Christmas no that's true well anyway yeah strange stranger things check it out it's good we won't

talk about the plot because uh don't even mention it and I've got two more go spoil yeah yeah it's it's very good speaking of Star Wars Admiral thn's back yeah I saw that that's interesting well I can sort of understand cuz when they made the St all sty extend the universe Legends instead of being Cannon anymore there's still a lot of stuff that characters are fleshed out and still there for them so why throw it all away so has anyone seen the the cartoon Star Wars Rebels I haven't watched it I've heard of good no hav I've heard it's good the same as I heard the Clone Wars was good as well I tried to watch Clone Wars I tried it's just it's a kids

show it is I watched it there was a the a film of Clone Wars animated that started it right is that y yeah okay no no no I thought it was a television show first I watched something I watched there a movie I watched one thing and I was like no I don't even remember what happened in it I remember Anakin was in it and he was annoying but yeah so I never watched CL War The Rebel show for the season 3 is bringing back grand Emerald Thor interesting so in what capacity if you like me before we go on to how bringing him back if you're like me and uh you only know the characters that are in the [ __ ] movies um Luke can you can you tell us all who Admiral thrawn is please okay he's an alien with blue skin and

red eyes he was one of the Empire's most brilliant Imperial officers and tacticians but he was an alien so the emperor didn't really like him so didn't really keep him in the inner and but he was looking after the outer Rim the Empire out there that so he's not really in the center of the universe type of thing yeah and then he when the Emperor died he nearly brought everyone back together to take for the Empire to take over again there's a a Trilogy of books called the th Trilogy written by Timothy Zan and he he wrote a Trilogy of books that used to be Cannon right Timothy's arm was really what brought Star Wars back in the '90s yeah so he he wrote they were Like official books sanctioned by Lucas film and they

were the continuation of the story after Return of the Jedi yeah yep and uh the first one was air to the Empire they were a bit weird they had some weird clone [ __ ] and some other stuff that was a big Goofy but they were all right I think they're widely considered the best of the books right is that true uh a lot of people yes okay me no but yeah so Disney scrapped all that stuff and well that's the other thing timoth D's also writing a new book really yes that's coming out as well about thrawn about Thorn interesting I can't stop saying interesting no you don't M if something's interesting you point it out that it is that's an interesting point then what waiting to find out is the new thr novel is that going to be Cannon or

is that still going to be part of the Legends Universe [ __ ] this is getting confusing now so that Disney hasn't scrapped everything they've just kind of put it over in another box is that what you're saying yeah they've just said like these are Legends what happened over here they can't scrap it they can't just erase it from your memory but no but I bet they'd love I'm sure they would if they could man that's right along with cars too to me this sort of puts out like this would have been a hard decision for them to make to get rid of everything but I can understand why they had to do it at the time because you need something fresh to work with yeah totally yeah because they wanted to make sequels to the originals and so they had to clear room for him

yeah like I understand I still hate it cuz I'm still a huge fan of the extended universe but well I don't know maybe we'll see some more sneak in so this is Jade so this is season three of Star Wars Rebels is that right he's he's going to be in yep and so this is Legends this is not official or this is off no Rebels the cartoon series are Canon okay so they're introducing this character in a new way yes okay okay cool yeah cuz when they scrapped all the theend universe they kept the cartoons all the cartoons the Clone Wars Rebels I don't think they kept Ewok or droids I was about to say droids was so good Christ yeah somebody who went okay the most interesting characters are R2

and 3PO I still want to know it's Caravan encourage Cannon I think it should be there's no reason why it can't be there's reasons it shouldn't be though I love that movie God whoa whoa have we been talking about Star Wars news without having played the jingle man we are slipping I have dropped the ball let me get that jingle Crank that ball [Music] up [Music] that's the Star Wars news jingle so uh Star Wars celebration just happened oh yes yes it did and uh there was some odds and ends announced such as

the news you just heard about Grand Admiral Thorn but also some Rogue one stuff yeah some Rogue one stuff [ __ ] I'm pretty excited about this movie Matt so am I I watched I mean I I saw I did watch this feature out that you've put in I mean assum it's the same one it's most of the behind the scenes stuff yeah yeah yeah yeah I watched it the other day and uh I was like I just [ __ ] really want to watch this movie it feels different like it feels different to force awakens yeah cuz it's the Stormtroopers are the the old storm like the original Storm Troopers and and and stuff like it's and they're at the beach yeah yeah they're in the water like there's that that shot of them like walking through the water the beach and I was just like I've

haven't seen that before I haven't seen a storm I haven't seen storm ders do that before that's right haven't seen them up to their knees in water before well I've seen filthy garbage water yes but not Beach water yeah not salt water that's right fresh water sure tons of times but not salt water yeah I'm pretty excited about this movie [ __ ] stoked how long do we have to wait uh it's it's Christmas again five months okay can wait that can wait that we waited 20 years for The Phantom Menace years well spent yeah can't we still just go back to pretending they don't exist oh mate I always do well see now that we've got the these new ones coming out and so far they're pretending they don't exist so far the one that

I've seen was good so yeah they better they better continue ignoring them that's say have you heard about um JJ Abrams there's talk of a Knights of Ren Anthology movie as well oh really okay that's all I know I saw something in passing from celebrations and yet evidently it's talk of maybe they want to do nights of R so focus more on that part of well see that sounds like it would be cool except I don't really know anything about them yet I only know kylo Ren is pretty cool I mean as a character I like him he's interesting to me but he's also he's not that how how in-depth can his backstory be I mean he he's kind of just a you know

well is a sort of a a faction of the force I thought okay so the it'll be more than just him it'll be history of of all that I think maybe as I said like I only saw this in passing I know no details at all okay well maybe we I guess we'll find out more about them is the type of stuff I like to bring up on the podcast that's right why change it now I assume we'll find out more about the nights of Ren in episode 8 so maybe we'll know more about whether that's going to be something we want y um they announced also that some guy I've not familiar with is playing Han Solo in the Han Solo film yeah I did find it funny though they they interviewed or auditioned like three and a half thousand people and they went with the guy they auditioned first they didn't

audition me I mean did you submit your resume or whatever you meant to do a [ __ ] if you want me come get me that's all I've got to say about that shouldn't have to maybe we need to get some poster back out here you know I mean that's helped us in the past that's helped us get things green lit in the past is when fans have done some some poster art and maybe they need to do one of you as uh a young Han Solo even though you're older than then Harrison Ford was in the first one all right all right am I yes you are wasn't he like 40 no he was 31 I think huh oh right cuz yeah Hamil was 18 right in Star

Wars I yeah no Carrie was the youngest I think she was 17 or 18 then Mark was like 20 or 21 and then um Harrison was in his early 30s okay cool um but I like this guy oh you do I can't say his name alen iron Rick sounds like one of your friends uh but he's been in some cool movies was in hail Caesar he's in stoker he uh has done a lot of biopic so he played uh Ian Curtis I want to say in the uh lead singer of The Joy Division did he play him oh okay yeah I don't think I've ever seen this guy anything I don't think he did actually I'm sure I'm sure he's a fine actor I reserve you know I prefer it be someone I'm not familiar with if they're going to be doing Han Solo cuz that's going to be

distracting if it's you know somebody who's not Harrison Ford at least it's not shab buff although we do love Shila Buff C the shff we hav any Charlotte buff news in so long just briefly this is tangential tangential tangentially is that a word this is somewhat Star Wars related but not really I don't know anything about shark NATO I haven't seen the other films but I do know that Shar NATO 4 is uh has been announced and it's called the fourth awakens yeah that's pretty good I'm not going to watch it but it's pretty good no that made me laugh I was like good on you also that guy was not in the Ian Cur movie so forget it forget it it's just some other dude going have to issue

another retraction kind of looks like him sorry listeners I've been on a lot of planes in the last couple of weeks which means I've watched Fair few movies have you what have you watched few movies that are relevant to this podcast I watched a movie called during the con oh no sorry I've written that wrong it's called The Conjuring what did you think of the conjuring by James Juan James Juan and I know we've discussed this movie on the podcast before I can now officially weigh in and say I really enjoyed it okay yeah I didn't have any kind of preconceived notions of this before I went into it like perhaps you did Matt and I'd already heard you say the fact that they told us it was a true story but clearly it's not so I just I just took the

happenings with a grain of salt and thought it was quite uh quite good yeah I've I think we've discussed I rewatched it since it's fine it's a good it's a good horror film I it's basically the same movie as James Juan's other [ __ ] Haunted House movie insidius I think The Conjuring 2 is better well now that I've seen The Conjuring I can watch The Conjuring 2 and I can waigh on that one as well cool yeah I recommend that you do good number two Captain America Civil War yes pretty damn good oh you liked it yeah I did like it look I was at a disadvantage I realized several points in this film because I started skipping some of the Marvel movies and they don't put on kid gloves with the backstory right that's true I had no idea who [ __ ] half the people in this movie were or why they

were significant or why this was called a Captain American movie and not just an Avengers movie or arguably an Iron Man movie right sure but uh as a movie it was good uh solid I mean [ __ ] F surpasses um Age of Ultron which was the movie that I just made me sto watching these yeah I will say this on in hindsight and and further viewings of of bits of Civil War it it is while I really enjoyed the the fight scene at the airport the big you know the big elaborate set piece the fight y yeah the Civil War ultimately pointless yeah like it had nothing to do with the main plot really like not a whole lot just a fight yeah yeah it was just a it was like set up so that they could have him fight I'll say this

though Matt Spider-Man 10 out of 10 yeah I can't wait to see the new spider casting scripting everything every second that Spider-Man was on screen winning so good can't wait to for them to do a movie and hopefully they do it well because let's be honest [ __ ] Ant-Man was great in Civil War and his spin-off movie was [ __ ] stupid I know you can see why right cuz I hadn't seen Ant-Man and then I watched Civil War and I was like I want to see more of that yeah he was great no what that Ant-Man movie was not that could if they make a second Ant-Man movie could have be better cuz I don't have to explain as much maybe I think the Ant-Man had problems because Edgar Wright was so involved and then suddenly not involved at all I think if you take that away

they'll they'll probably if somebody can just you know start the thing and finish the thing it'll probably be better yeah so the third movie I saw 10 Cloverfield Lane Now Matt you've seen this I assume yeah yeah yeah Luke no I loved this movie yeah me too we did a necronom about it well I can listen now now it lost me a little bit in the last 10 minutes sure okay um and I won't say what those last 10 minutes involve I'll just say I think it it turned away from the movie I was watching a little too far sure yeah and I appreciate that that was the point but it it didn't quite work for me I was the same I was okay with it but I was a bit like oh all right that's that's happening okay cool yeah yeah yeah yeah

you I went along with it and and and it's it's it's really well done like the the film is you know it kind of it knocks you bad a bit you know it it pulls you one way and then the other and I I thought it was really good good performances yeah [ __ ] junman is so great yeah he is he's I don't know he's just an awesome actor now yeah yeah [ __ ] terrifying in this movie look yeah look look I don't I mean it doesn't St The Rock uh but I think you like this yeah I I know there's so many moves I know I would like and I should watch but I just end up playing Xbox yeah that's fair that's fair yeah now T L's good it's really good if you want to if youve if you've watched it and you want to know a bit about the background you want to hear about bit more about uh

Preppers cuz it's a bit it's about uh yeah it is Walter Walter in it his name is not Walter I keep saying Walter cuz that's his character from [ __ ] the big leowski I keep calling him Walter oh I don't remember his name I never remember character's name Henry is it Henry don't make me look it up I don't actually care this is one of those cases where when Jenna edits this she's going to come up afterwards and be like his name was Henry say chuck oh let's just [ __ ] 10 Cloverfield DB Howard Howard Howard the Duck Howard the Duck yeah so Howard's a bit of a prepper we talked about Preppers and stuff uh and some you like Preppers I know you like them I do I finded in them they're tragically entertaining to me

necronom on.com if you want to have a listen to what we thought in more depth I will because I am interested because mostly I want to know uh as someone who had kind of tuned out of tent pole Blockbusters around the time Cloverfield came out I have not seen Cloverfield at all no I've not seen it wow okay cuz we we rewatched that as well before we did that episode of necronom so right cloverfield's good in my opinion Cloverfield the the original Cloverfield is the best of that is kind of the the Pinnacle of the found footage film yeah right cuz I [ __ ] got so sick of and I feel like did I which I think is why I was just like no way thank youwood I feel like it's the best of them and it was kind of the their ultimate form if you you know what I mean and they can

stop making them now maybe I'll go back catch up and I'm glad this one is not like that at all do you go into any detail in your podcast about the connection to that other film we do because it was discussed by the filmmaker okay good Denny tackenberg the director of tin CL he Ama talked about stuff we also talk a lot about the ARG which um if you remember Cloverfield had a very elaborate ARG alternate reality game um when it came out where you know you have to do stuff in the real world to solve puzzles stuff yeah and and the one for this literally just picked up where that left off and it's actually pretty interesting so I want go into it here if you want to hear about it necronom check it out I will we had a competition well we still have a
