right well what happens to the podcast I mean without the multiple nasm officers like where are we going to office from well I guess in Australia Luke's house is going to become the multiple nerdgasm office well yeah we're just going to have three officers across the world now ah I see the way this works yeah we're a multinational company that still makes no money welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt it's all a bit hearty so I don't really understand it Luke is that a little sashwat penis damn I accidentally got soap in my urethra multiple nerdgasm you're your guide to All Things

nerdy yeah so I mean I say this room's empty most of my house is empty right now actually I've got a mattress on the floor in our room uh we're sleeping on and there's a television on a chair in there and that's how we're entertaining ourselves ah so it's back to being a student again does that remind you of Eastwood by any chance very much so yes so how much longer are you actually in Australia I just want to know not the podcast listeners be all right well so that the listeners know it's currently Sunday the 24th of July and I leave the country on Saturday the 30th so I'm here for six more days not even actually seven days I guess seven what are we talking about 5 days five days CU yeah you arrive this before you leave yeah that's right technically no

well I arrive in La before I left Australia but I arrive in Boston um the afternoon of the same day so if you never ever come back to the southern hemisphere mhm you will have an extra day in your life uh yes yeah I suppose so cuz you'll only have to give that day back if you ever go back to the southern hemisphere if you just stay up there up there in the snowy north yeah so I I can talk about how I used to live in the future and then I I traveled back that's right but but you will always live in the past now it's of it's sort of confusing though you're going to be in the past though I'm going to be 14 hours in the past yeah 14 hours in the past not to me

it won't be no there'll be 12 hours in the past to you 12 hours in my past yeah so you'll be a a slightly more familiar memory to me than you will be to Luke yes so I can message Luke and say do we make it through tonight and he can tell me and I just won't respond he'll just send static just send me a picture of my own [Laughter] grave man they dug that grave quickly yeah 12 hours they don't mess around in the future yeah no they don't so I also want to apologize because I've been so flat out um I haven't even gotten a chance to watch all of these magnificent trailers that have just come out um man today there have been some great trailers released this weekend of course comic-con's been on in San Diego the

only Comicon can actually call itself ComicCon yeah others others call themselves VAR Comic-Con themed names but that is the official yeah the main the main event yeah um and there's been some good trailers I mean do we want to start there yeah I have watched some of them what did you watch um I watched I watched the Justice League footage it's not really a trailer it's a trailer is though yeah it's I mean it's trailer like yeah to me it seem to going very light-hearted with this trailer yes that's what I thought too I think that's intentional I think they watched the response to Batman vers Superman and they went we better lighten that up a bit yeah now I have a question is that the flash from the television show no it's not okay no they said that he

didn't um he didn't fit yeah he cut the mustard I mean I I wouldn't have thought I mean I I know I liked Batman versus Superman better than you guys liked it but the reason you know the things that let it down were not that it wasn't wacky enough sure it really surprises me that they going [ __ ] this better be just a balls to the wall comedy yeah no that wasn't the reason that it was bad The Bad was the story was the part that L it down yeah and we know nothing about the story yet from uh from this little lot of footage I did like in the trailer in the footage rather not not a trailer in the in the first look um that we got there's a scene where Bruce Wayne throws a batarang at The Flash yeah uh and then the flash obviously Dodges it catches it um and then I saw one of the comments on

YouTube this morning when I watched it was uh I can just imagine an earlier scene where Bruce Wayne calls up Alfred and says Alfred what was that address again and uh and he says oh it was um is it 111 blah blah blah and he's like ah right not 110 all right crew here um I've accidentally murdered somebody they went over by my head mat does he need to throw a batang at somebody to confirm that it's the flash where I was getting what happens it's like as much research as you do you could make a mistake it might be his roommate that walks in yeah for example if I got it into my head that somebody was bulletproof just walking around shooting people is not the best way to find them well actually it is it's kind of the only way well no

I mean true I it's it's not the only thing I know about all no I take your point all right fine look the trailer's good really you thought it was good I mean it looks better than Batman vers Superman oh man I'm not on I thought it looked a bit [ __ ] really okay I thought it looked all right Luke well what we're settle this for us two years away from it out 2019 that's coming out is it 2018 or 17 how are they that far off most of these trailers come out today are released 2017 but I don't know about that one cuz it's not a trailer well it led me to the Wonder Woman trailer which I also watched yeah so they're the two that I saw and Wonder Woman I think definitely is 2017 it is um and I thought that looked right too [ __ ] me that looks awesome and I really hope it's as good as it

looks yeah I agree yeah Luke did you happen to see that yeah Hannah watched that cuz she told me that it was out and she really liked it yeah yeah she's she's correct I think she even liked the fact that she she was saying like there's color in it like Wonder Woman's outfit is bright colors yep she's got the lasso and uh and the shield Gauntlet and I assume an invisible jet shiny boots yep that'd be visible B plane wouldn't it well if if the invisible jet was in the trailer we wouldn't know yeah we watched the trailer this morning and Jenna said to me I said oh she's got an invisible jet as well she goes is she invisible when she's in the invisible jet and I'm like I don't think she is from the comics and that's going to look a bit silly in this movie but I

can't wait to find out yeah my guess is if they do it in the film yes cuz otherwise you just get her sitting there going through the sky yeah it's a bit bit goofy yeah and mean as Family Guy pointed out what happens when she uses the bathroom of the invisible jet that's the first thing that popped into my head as well well we all know that's because when you ever on a plane or space shuttle of any kind you just masturbate that's right well see I'm sure the guy who created the invisible jet for her installed a shower as well and when she said oh so when I'm inside of this I'm invisible as well he went yep y y test it out try it out try it out right now I'll just be sat over here a waiting killing time over here should I be able to see

you though yeah oh yeah yeah don't mind me yes so so the only ones that I saw I know that there's uh there's some new Marvel uh trailers there's a new doctor strange I haven't I haven't watched the I took a look at that um get up to the Kong Skull Island trailer I had to look at that I don't mind it I think that looks quite interesting yeah what one thing they were sort of advertising at the start like from the producers of Godzilla and that's not how you want to try and get me involved that was a terrible movie the new one the new one yeah yeah I didn't 1950s Japanese

one no come on there was a Godzilla movie with Matthew Brodrick no we don't count that's the one I was we don't count that okay that doesn't count fine and I actually haven't seen the newer one so this trailer looks all right then has it got did you see Kong in it you see Kong very briefly yeah they've done a little bit of a a bit of a Godzilla really you know they've just teased you with him y he we know what he looks like huge yeah big gorilla yeah they're that this is the biggest Kong yet yeah and it really looks like it's how big all the Kongs were in all the previous movies and they were like our has got to be bigger like dinosaur size right cuz he's got to fight dinosaurs well he fought dinosaurs in the last one yeah he did is it important

to you that the Kong be big no I'm just saying that that's that's kind of something that they've been it's important to them I I think it's going to end up that he's too big I mean he's got to be pretty big otherwise this movie is just about an ape you know right the fact that he's big is kind of part of it man yeah you're right that is his defining feature as a as a creature exactly and his pen shant for Hollywood blondes so this Stars Tom Heston I I do is that true getting all [ __ ] action Manny mhm yeah looks good it's got John Goodman in it who uh last week we all liked yeah he is in everything but uh the man who's in literally everything is also in this Samuel L Jackson oh God

seems to be playing um what does it say here wacky sidekick okay so that's branching out oh he's yeah right different yeah okay yeah really really testing yourself so what other trailers were out cuz I didn't watch any others uh the one that I thought looked look I don't I don't want to have high hopes but I have liked pretty much all of this man's movies and this one looks pretty cool this is Guy Richie's King Arthur and this looks like Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels in medieval England like Arthur's like n like yeah me and the lads were out for a night out like it's that style but there's nights wow okay yeah so this is either going to be stupid or amazing are you a fan of his um Sherlock

Holmes movies yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I okay I like the first one I didn't I didn't really like the second one well the second one wasn't a great movie like just in general it wasn't but I did like his take on homes yeah yeah no I did too I like the first one in particular I enjoyed yeah there was one other trailer I tried to squeeze it in uh I tried to squeeze it in just before um before this but I ran out of time too big is not always good the um American Gods oh [ __ ] me so this is American Gods is my favorite book right it's my favorite it's my favorite novel by Neil gaming and they're making that a book a movie they're making it a series a TV show oh yeah and I I was so hesitant to click on

this trailer today because you know I've I've heard some kind of directions that going to take it and I just wasn't convinced and this trailer looks great it's got Ian M Shane I watch as Wednesday yeah I saw that he's in it yeah which automatically gives it a bit of bit of cred for me you know credibility I like the fact they're making it a series and not a movie yeah yeah they're not trying to squeeze it all into 90 minutes yeah no there's a lot to it yeah hopefully they'll explore it all there's something unexpected about the trailer Matt um but I'm not going to tell you what that is I'm going to let you find that out in your own time all right I might watch that soon

as we're finished here H well speaking of TV shows as well I um I watched I finished watching all of stranger things oh and man that's great yeah [ __ ] good that [ __ ] that kid Dustin is like the best he's great he's so good he's [ __ ] he's such a good actor for like a little kid cuz here's the thing he hilarious like I no longer want to watch anything else other than more stuff like stranger things now you know yeah I know like when I finished that I'm like okay what am I going to start now and nothing appealed to me because what I want to watch is more 80s inspired Nostalgia pieces like I just felt so good watching that yeah they always say they always say stuff like like oh you know making movie with the kids is a pain in the ass

kids are terrible and you know like the Phantom manace in particular like Jake Lloyd in that was not the best actor and that but then all of the kids in this yeah amazing great I mean especially 11 like that's a hard job for a kid to do to pull off a role like that with Nuance small Nuance performances and she [ __ ] nailed it and and and just the relationship between the kids like the three friends or four friends um yeah it's that like their little banter and that fight and there all that stuff it's so good yeah and I thought at first I'm like ah they're kind of making their dialogue a bit too funny and then I thought no wait a minute when we were that age we literally made a joke about anything anyone said I think my favorite scene in the

whole show and it's not really a spoiler is so and listeners check out this show it's great um is the scene where Dustin calls the science teacher and um yes I'm not going to say what you asking for me calls him up to ask him something and it's so funny like like I said that kid is just hilarious I want see I want to see him in more stuff like yeah I mean like for a for a weird looking kid with a speech impediment I I don't really know how varied his roles can be but no but he's a great comedic actor yes exactly right yeah watch this space yeah like his timing and everything and his like his physicality with the phone at the end when he's like yeah yeah all right yep see you later so so good I think that's the next series that me and

Hannah are going to watch do let's do it now do it after this don't wait it's it's really good and I mean I assume that they'll make more of them because it's been very successful got to got to and I kind of hope that season two is nothing to do with season one that's what I would like you know yeah I agree sort of like an American Horror Story sing yeah yeah maybe something like that but they they really wrapped up this story so I I'd hate for this to turn into the flogging of a dead horse you know they did but they did leave a couple of little Loose Ends true true true true and also but then also they um I don't want to spoil anything but they made a joke about that too yeah they did if you recall yeah they made a joke about loose ends and things like that so

maybe that's intentional yeah if you read Steven King books or watched uh Steven Spielberg movies or liked the Twilight Zone then you should watch this if you're into Stevens yeah that's a genre now is it stens Stevens It's a Steven film it's not a film's TV series you [ __ ] up already Matt I'm firing myself good thing you've got the power to hire yourself back though yep coincidentally here I am back again oh welcome back Matt thanks for having me yeah um speaking of comedic timing and and funny people uh one person who has been cast in a film that I think we're all a bit excited about and surprised me when I read the casting decision uh was Danny McBride being cast in Alien Covenant now I like Danny

McBride oh yeah I like him but I was surprised by this because yeah I wasn't really expecting alien Covenant to be uh akin to something like Eastbound and Down no no I would watch that though no or or um Pineapple Express or you know he's he's done mostly done comedies I don't think I've seen him do anything that's not a comedy no I'm not sure he I don't even know if he has yeah so is he do we know anything about his role or well we do know that he understands our concern and he has come out and said I will not be making jokes in alien and quote this [ __ ] is dark yeah okay he might so he's not making jokes but doesn't mean he's not

going to be funny could be I mean you know there were funny moments in the other Alien films yeah that's true yeah he said when Ridley asked me to come in and read I didn't even know what movie it was for and then he starts talking to me about it and then showing me these diagrams of spaceships and I'm thinking [ __ ] this is alien he's talking me about alien right now and then my next thought was why is he interested in me for this am I just going to be the comedy relief in this and then apparently not he just likes his acting style it's interesting seem a bit R yeah Ridley are you you getting old well he is I think comedy is tough so he probably is a good actor yeah like

there's nothing there's nothing to indicate that he's not a good actor no plenty of comedy actors can do straight stuff as well well look at one of our favorite actors now John Goodman oh absolutely yeah yeah I pay that Jim krey he's done some serious stuff and he was good no no he has no no we're talking about our favorite actors Luke see you joke about that but there probably was a time when I would consider Jim car amongst my favorite actors like when I was 14 like and there were two Ace Ventura movies and The Mask I thought he was pretty damn good like we make jok about he's good in what guy oh yeah a cable guy that's a good movie yeah in fact I think I liked him more when he started to become that bit more serious I wasn't a interface

for insuring The Mask really yeah no I was but this is also around the time I wasn't when uh you know I thought when when Adam Sandler had only made really funny [Laughter] movies yeah I got over that pretty quickly though yeah he made sure we did yeah well speaking of movies I saw a movie this week that's had some controversy around it oh did can you guess what movie that is I'm I'm really hoping that it's what I think it is mat it's probably not I did that on purpose it's Star Trek Beyond oh okay yeah and how is it uh oh I didn't like it very much I'll be honest dang is it an original story this time uh it is yeah it's just not a very

interesting one to me a so it's more like the old Star Trek then well no no cuz I would have preferred that look look I understand why it is the way it is it's just there was a certain point in this film when I realized it opened when it started I was really into it I thought this is looking great this is going to be good and then it got to a certain point and something happens and I was like oh okay no it's not it's a it's not what I thought it was it's an it's a space action movie right with with some sci-fi in it now are they stopping at sort of having a Trilogy or are they going to continue on with these what do you think no they're continuing on they've conf they've confirmed that they will be a number four okay yeah it was a little um

knowing that Anon yelin had had died yeah um he he is in this they do a good job of giving everybody some screen time and so it was a little sad to see him on the screen and then know that he's not going to be in it anymore cuz they said they're not going to recast him did they find a way to kill him off well no he's just I I see I want if they would do that but then that's a bit creepy so they they don't he's just he's just there and then they said he just won't be in the next one like the character W be just recast him well yeah no they said they won't let's not go back to this conversation about whether they should or should not recast characters we've had that argument they already recast

checkov exactly he's not the original actor so what's one more time yeah and also this is the first one that has not had um Leonard nemoy in it oh yeah so yeah so that I mean it was it was dedicated to him oh okay and did they find a way to kill him off as well or uh yeah he he his death does come up yeah like oh him and COV were in a car and sorry if that's a spoiler sorry you know what I want to apologize right cuz I that is technically I guess a spoiler um I mean you know that Leonard neemo is dead so you know he's not in this film but the fact that SPX death comes up in this so in other words if you hadn't have said oh that's a spoiler sorry about that we would have just gone on

thinking you were making a joke out the fact that Leonard Nimo the actor has died Y no well the reason that I mention it is because I did hear some feedback this week that um while on necronom uh we we do give people fair warning for spoilers on this show we often just blurt them out that's true and um cuz I don't believe in spoilers yeah well they're real sometimes luk will say spoiler alert in the same breath as he says the spoiler I talked to somebody who actually refused to listen to this show until uh for actually quite a while because they hadn't seen the force awakens and they knew that we' only we we'd give them like one episode and that would be and I confirmed that yes in fact by the next week Luke was blurting out spoilers but

who didn't go to see the force awakens who was it um that's their own fault yeah I agree with you I don't want to I don't want to out anybody on anything live on air so if that if that person wants to write in maybe we can out them next week if if you didn't bother going to see Dar wars in the first 24 hours that it was out you deserve to have it spoiled and I will say that to your [ __ ] face whoever you are well he's not listening because he stopped because wait minute wait a minute he still hasn't seen it no no no well I believe that I believe that he he just thinks we're going to spoil other things he just got to catch up now right but you're not saying he still hasn't seen the force awaken so he

hasn't started listening to this podcast again in case we say spoiler I think I think he saw it recently I have no idea who you're talking about I saw it recently yeah I did too but I also saw it great movie which was seven months recently too that one thing cuz I've rewatched it a couple of times when I was on the plane and a couple of times on the plane but it's like watching you know how you can go back and watch The Originals yeah and still enjoy that I'm getting that from the force awakens yeah you know what same I saw it at the movies a bunch of times and I think no less of it yeah me too I got it on Blu-ray by the way what did you guys opt for digital uhhuh well this comes with this comes with digital as well so I

figured Best of Both Worlds I opted for Italy because I don't know what devices I'm going to be able to use next week when I'm in a different country you're right yeah so when I get there I'll I'll out but you could still play a Blu-Ray on the [ __ ] like Xbox that youing don't shoot down my [ __ ] justifications on this podcast Daniel all right yeah yeah the region free DVD Blu-ray player you've got with you that's all right all right go and buy it give Mone give JJ the money he did a good job all right fine I'll probably buy digitally though I don't I don't like discs neither do I but I figured I've had a I've had something to hold with every other Star Wars movie this might be the the one franchise yeah I've got something to hold as well all right all

right yeah [ __ ] perverts yeah although I did I listened to uh a podcast recently where they were discussing the virtues of of Blu-ray over the digital formats and apparently um even though you know like stuff is HD there is nothing else that matches Blu-ray cuz also apparently Blu-ray does uh can do 24 frames 24p right that um that other platforms cannot for for whatever reason thing about all do not I don't care yeah see I don't either until I heard this and then I was like uhoh I feel like maybe I'm starting to care now that I know about here's the thing if you're not watching it on an old timey television set you won't be able to see the difference in a frame rate full stop

I agree the people on this podcast I was listening to disagree wrong so if you're watching if you're watching it on a computer it would look the same yeah I know what what makes the difference is if you shoot something at a higher frame rate like the 48 frames per second that um uh that idiot shot The Hobbit on when then you play it back it's not going to have any motion blur and so it's going to look different but the actual frame rate it's played back in you would not be able to tell you can't you can't tell the difference between pal and ntsc in that way and that's five frames let alone one frame I call [ __ ] have you got Pokemon there yet no but the Straits times which is our local newspaper uh had a big front page spread yesterday that said why Pokemon

should be banned in Singapore oh dear but China China are really freaked out uh apparently they're they're concerned that if if China gets Pokémon and people are going all around the place looking for Pokémons they're going to find stuff the Chinese government doesn't want them to find they haven't been specific they've just said look we don't want people poking their noses around in our [ __ ] I just like to say I was right when saying everyone should sell their stocks in Nintendo now cuz it's going to fall really why um Nintendo basically come out and gone look guys we're not really making a lot of money off this

really okay they didn't make the game they're not Distributing the game they own 33% of the Pokémon company that's it right so they're not getting a whole lot out of it no like antic who made the distribut they're making a fortune okay and I know they'd be paying a lot for the licensing but yeah Nintendo's not rolling cash from it oh so yeah their their stock nearly doubled or something that'll decline quickly as well all right so sell sell quickly yeah we really should have gone in on that then yeah cuz nend they've come out and said like look we're not changing our for financial forecast after this game came out we're still what we said six months ago that's what we still believe oh okay so they you think it'll just drop back down again

for the money that they make like Niantic is going to make a fortune off this yeah but but Nintendo I don't think not as much okay but I just love it when I'm right yeah well what other stock predictions have you got for us uh that's all I've done researching well that's that shouldn't stop wor about your research luk I just want to know what you got feel I I put it to you that you didn't actually do any research on that one either I did nothing I just I don't know when I I can't know when I'm going to be right with thing something will just come to me and then I'll I'll say something and then that'll be it look Matt I don't want to give you any work

because I assume you are not going to be composing [ __ ] this week in terms of Jingles right so I'm going to hold back on suggesting but if this becomes a regular segment where Luke does give Financial advice and stock market tips then it's going to need its own jingle uh we've got one what [Music] theet there you go that's fantastic I don't remember why that four oh God knows this was back when you know we were doing 50 Jingles every week and I didn't have a life because I was had to make them you didn't have a life but this podcast really CED a life you know what I'm saying that's right we

just need to bring back a bunch of old segments okay tell you what Matt during the week give us a list of all the jingles you've written especially ones that we haven't used in a long time okay and we will try to force them back into the show just [ __ ] crowbar them in there yeah it can be a like a a game for us each week is to to shoehorn in an old segment oh crap I think a lot of them are going to be mine yeah probably and this is you who said that you you couldn't come up with any segments at one point and you like I don't know if I'll ever be able to do a segment that's so true and now all our segments are about L that's right while we're talking about Nintendo did you guys see the new Nintendo console they've announced I did and uh yeah I

mean you know they're coming out with something controversial I was excited for it for about 10 minutes I was excited about it until I saw how much it cost and I was like [ __ ] H oh I haven't seen the price I could be wrong but I think it priced at $80 oh £49.99 in the UK so yeah that's probably about right about 80 bucks yes sorry yeah I mean it's got 30 games on it but still that seems like quite a lot for a console that's what bloody how old is this thing now yeah look for people who don't know Nintendo are re-releasing the NES yeah with some Nest games it's got gam actually like superar brothers one two and three on it like ghosts and

goblins Zelda there are so many games on that I want to play all the uh you know Simon's Quest Castlevania those games are on there yeah it's got some good stuff on it I would consider getting one of these Maybe be a good gift for somebody I would maybe consider getting one if maybe had a hard drive and you could also get more games in the future new games well that's the thing they're not making any new games well not new games but just be able to get more from the store look I mean this this is a novelty because I mean most of these games you can play in some other form anyway still yeah right but having a little NZ console you know we don't have a huge amount of details on it um apparently uh it's about it fits in the palm of your hand so it's not very big

and um it's HDMI so it goes into the TV uh a modern TV and not only that people have complained that you know you can buy them on the Wii uh yep the kind of what do they call it the um emulated ones on the on the on the Wii and the 3DS it's um some of those apparently have trouble representing the colors as they were and things look a bit different apparently they're too bright and clear apparently this thing um is not like that it's it actually runs the games as they were so to speak oh okay so I've got to blow in it every time I'm going to play it I mean you haven't got to Dan but I don't have to but I can yeah of course what what that slot on the front's for I don't know if that thing actually opens that little slot on the front I assume

not no doesn't open doesn't connect any unit it doesn't have external storage it's just that's it yeah it's got a little you can get a controller for it that looks it's the same as the The Nest controller but um H yeah I don't know it's expensive for for such a limited thing what would you pay for it um I'd maybe go 50 50 bucks $50 yep yeah yeah you know I might yeah and also well the other thing is too Sega uh I don't know if they released it themselves with licensed out the hardware for for the Mega Drive or the Genesis as it's called in America and so you can buy new consoles that are that have you know Sonic the Hedgehog and a couple of other games on them but they also have a cartridge slot so you can

put the old cartridges in it this doesn't ah well I'd be surprised if a lot of those OD cartridges would still work yeah I've got two Nest cartridges sitting here on the desk next to me cuz I got to decide what I'm going to do with them I'll have what games what's too late for that Luke you should have taken them when you're here they're going in the bin I I did they W on the list what [ __ ] games just tell me what games um oh you're going to be so mad at me yes I am Star Wars Star Wars and solers do you want me to mail them to you Luke yes please do you have a nest Luke are you going to be able to play them or are these going to be paper yes I will find one do you also want Luke this copy of the xfiles PC

game oh I remember the xfiles PC it's about 20 [ __ ] CDs I've played that game and finished it so you don't want it then okay I think I actually have it let me check my steam Library I've been playing some PC games I've been doing some PC gaming let's say this weekend uh because yesterday morning uh I decided to play through uh Dave the tentacle oh cool which I hadn't played for many many years and uh I mean I can't remember how long it took me to finish the first time but it was considerably longer than it took me this time because we kind of have an understanding now of the way that those guys write games right so

yeah you know you don't get Stu did you buy the remaster is that how you got it is a remaster no I just it popped into my head and I redownloaded the scum VM oh man there's a remastered version of it they just released oh really yeah I thought that was where where you would have got yeah now they just put it out um hav want remastered to be honest I've got the um got the remaster of Grim Fandango I need to play through okay this looks pretty nice I don't know I'm pretty happy with how it looks still to be honest maybe the next time it pops into your head yeah next time you want to play through it again yeah a look in yeah and when that's retro you know what I mean when these Gra speaking of PC games uh since might as well have a bit

listen no no no no uh I thought that uh Justice League looked [ __ ] house and uh Wonder Woman looked [ __ ] amazing well thing about that Wonder Woman thing is at the end where it felt like they had to cuz that was very sort of serious and dark that whole trailer and then they sort of threw in that joke at the end I think it sort of crammed in a little bit which joke where she was goofing around with the um with his assistant yeah about secet you sound like a slave and I think we call that slavery yeah I thought the Wonder Woman trailer looked good um I thought the Justice League footage looked uh pretty good I thought it looked better than Batman versus Superman did but also I mean still a Zack Snyder directed one jti

yep well speaking of steam um we talked about the um the third party gambling with Counterstrike skins and such um there was uh earlier in the week a new story where they said they denounce them they think you know they're not endorsing them and they think they're bad but they weren't doing anything about them however I see there's been an update yeah they've now their lawyers now sent out cease and desist letters to all of the gambling sites out there oh interesting that's cool cuz it's actually very easy for them to sort of stop it they can just like cuz it just goes into to the API yeah yeah and they can just like find out which ones it is

and just block that user type of thing so it's not yeah I know they haven't done that so well I I think what it is is they're trying to stay out of it as much as they can because why are they not making money directly from this gambling they are still making a fortune from it yeah I know so now that but now there's been attenion on it they have to do something yeah yeah CU they just they make money like if someone sells the skin through on Steam they just in the marketplace they get 3% of every single sale wow yeah and that doesn't sound like a lot but some of those Skins are like $100 each yeah it adds up and hundreds of sales a day and or probably

thousands yeah yeah it adds up oh will good on them for finally doing something about it cuz I mean I don't know if they're legally obliged to but I think they're probably not legally obliged but I do like the fact that they came out during the week and said look we're not against it but we're not going to do anything about it either and then their legal team went ah no you probably should do something about it that's the message you want to send people that's right look knock yourselves out just don't involve me I think we might see something in the future where this does come back though officially but not in the the lotto things which has been the big thing where you you B around and goes hey this person want all these skins I don't

think we'll see that there's some actual loues which people are actually going I bet this skin that this person will win this match type of thing also it'll have a warning and you have to click a button that says please click this button to confirm you're old enough to gamble cuz that that was another feature they were missing I think yeah but I think I mean nothing that prohibits you just something you've got to promise the internet you're old enough exactly like porn s sites have been doing for years yeah actually they don't even really do it anymore because they know people are going to lie little little kids figured out how those buttons work years ago yeah and not only that somebody probably told him you know that doesn't legally

cover you for anything yeah of course oh he clicked the button did you guys see this this one guy who's managed to get some money back from Star Citizen we've talked about Star Citizen in the past yeah not long ago they when it originally came out they had a clause in their thing like if you give us any money and the game's not released in a certain amount of time we we'll refund it to you they changed the clause and they took that out a while ago mhm yeah it just says if they don't release it ever you can try and get the money or if they cease development you get you can claim money back but this guy sunk thousand thousands of dollars into into this and um and he was able to get most of it back like well I should say I think um he put like three and a

half Grand into it total I think he got like two grand back and they said the odds of him getting the other stuff back is is not great because his argument was that they just changed the the project so much that it's not what he paid for anymore such a gray area isn't it oh it is in part it's a gamble backing anything yeah but also if they pivot and start doing something else then surely you can reasonably argue that that's not what you paid for especially if it's now obvious that you're never going to get what you paid for yeah because we've we've talked about Kickstarter a bit and we've made fun of kickstarters and we we did our own Kickstarter um and I've had kickstarters that have gone a bit South

uh I got one um I've had to update my shipping address obviously cuz I still haven't received it um and the product has been altered now because they weren't able to do what they originally wanted to um and you know I cut my losses cuz that's it's not a shop like it's not the same as going into the you know or ordering something off Amazon it's not the same thing but on on that project and even I recently backed a project for a duffel bag on Kickstarter right were you drinking can't get those in the store no no no I I I needed a new duffel bag right because I'm moving and I saw this this was actually about 6 months ago um and there's a company called KP keep pursuing and they they have done kickstarters in the past they one for this sling pack and I've got one

of those and it's actually really cool and then so I it came to my attention that they were doing one for duffel bag and I was thinking I need a duffel bag cuz I'm moving and I'm going to be traveling around so I checked out the kickstarter I backed it right everything's great I've got it now it came this week right I was supposed to get it in May so it was it was you know maybe two months late right PR good not that bad yeah but if you go on to if you were on that Kickstarter for over the last month and a half you would think they had [ __ ] murdered somebody's oh yeah I see it all the time the people in the comments on there and I'm like you are embarrassing yourself to such a degree with these comments like it is ridiculous the

things people claim on there wow like it's a it's a bag it's Kickstarter like you're going to get it it's just that there was a production delay like calm down yeah if you don't want to wait for something buy it from a shop that's right it's not this isn't Amazon I use Kickstarter a lot and as I'm now a super backer they sent me an email this week congratulating me and I've got a new badge and stuff really cuz I've backed like a lot of projects a lot I don't want to talk about how many wow uh but I see all the time I expect games to a lot of the stuff I get to be late cuz a lot of these ones even if they've done it before they still have to rely on manufacturers and a lot of things and a lot of times these people are new to all of that it's Kickstarter

people come on yeah you didn't pay for a product you paid understand what it is you gave money to somebody who had a dream and they wanted to make a product that's like that's and we made the mistake too when we did our Kickstarter because we um I got worried that cuz we did a Kickstarter for a video right and we had t-shirts and hoodies and stuff we wanted to to give away as rewards and in my head I was like well the t-shirt's worth about x amount of money and we so we put the prices it around that but but really that's not how it's supposed to work the point is that you're supposed to be giving us money to make the film and then as a bonus we'll give you a t-shirt so I put it our reward tiers should have been much higher we made no money fact

we lost money so enjoy your [ __ ] t-shirts people I mean look we got we got some T-shirts out of it as well cuz we ordered extra we did but we didn't make any money but I mean making money wasn't the point made the video no no no but to be fair Matt none of the money could even go into making the video the money went into giving out sorry go on I'll stop you there I made sure sure we had enough money to order pizza yes the pizza yeah yeah but we'll learn for the next the next is going to have to be quite expensive because it's going to have to pay for flights yep what we' actually we've that's right we've had um so many suggestions for kickstarters and we yeah
