so I've just spent the last 20 minutes fighting with a cat uhhuh why doesn't that surprise me I'm not sure if I've won or not you haven't I'll tell you right now I don't know what the fight was about but you haven't won which one of you is dead well we're both alive at the moment which one of you has scratches on it uh no no it was very pleasant fight so far it's like to scratching a cat like like to wound it not like in a pleasant way Dr Watson wanted to come into be in here while I was recording the podcast why W you have me in the show come on you can come in but once you're in I'm shutting the door and you can't go out you can come in but you're not allowed to talk he's like no no deal I want my voice heard damn

our podcast no it's just do crapping on about whatever um it was really exciting to finally get it to unpack it mhm and then I had to update it and install everything on it mhm mhm mhm and that really takes some of the fun out of it remember when you used to get a console and you just used to throw a disc in and play yeah or even not even do that if you know with a Sega Master System too or you to do was not put a disc in properly and a game would still play Alex kid in Miracle World yeah yeah for it's it's not Alex the kid everyone please stop saying that just Alex kid kid is his surname yeah Alex kid Mr and Mrs kid and their son Alex used to [ __ ] me with kids at school like yeah I was playing Alex the kid I'm

like no you weren't you were playing Alex kid it's SP with two they come from nowhere but yes I got the new Xbox One X I also got the Scorpio Edition oh yeah that's right yeah it took me about a day before I actually unpacked it cuz I didn't know where I want to set it up the big decision at the TV yeah this this is real first world problems I wanted to know do I set it up on the lounge room which has the better television yep so swap the Xbox is out there or in my games room swap the Xbox out there or set it up on my computer right yeah cuz you don't to have too many Xboxes in the one room well yeah I'd end up having two Xboxes in the one room at the moment

I've the I've swapped it in the lounge room cuz that's where I'm going to play at the moment but I'm thinking about getting a third Monitor and setting it up on the computer long term okay so you do all your games in there uh just depends where I am or what Hannah's doing okay so have you played something on it yet yes I've played what have I played KNE for Speed mhm and which I'm not impressed with that game so I'm not going to talk about it and um too late the other one Assassin's Creed oh oh okay oh okay and how's how's ancient Egypt looks very nice yeah it looks nice is there anything more to the game than the other games absolutely not okay I know people keep saying oh it's so good you got to

try it all I want is a little more Luke I just want a little more you know like Black Flag was really fun for a little bit they have given a little bit more but I don't know I I think I see through it very quickly and it is just the same type of mission I still love the game look it does look fun walking around pyramids and [ __ ] yeah but if you hadn't have just brought Black Flag I'd say get it but you've got Black Flag you haven't even finished that then I'm not going to as well sometimes I look at that little icon I'm like Oh Black Flag sitting there but then I remember playing it and I I think about playing more of that it just doesn't doesn't convince me to click on it you know what I mean that's why I haven't played any more of the fractured but hole oh same same I just

don't think I like it I even considered downloading the new South Park mobile game playing that instead and playing that instead I I I just and look I I just it was fine but there's just nothing about it that makes me want to play it yeah yeah I enjoyed it but I enjoying all games but I thought that that was better than um Assassin's Creed I don't know I'm enjoying it but the the game starts off very strangely go on like I don't know if you know much about this one this is meant to be like where the Assassins came from the whole start of that whole story line right mhm the game starts off and you're killing someone that killed your son a year ago it's sort of me it feels like it's starting off mid story H and I've

already missed something Sometimes the best stor start right in the middle you hit the ground running yeah maybe you learn start later you don't want to uh you know you don't want to start by having to go right back to the beginning you know giving birth to your character watching it grow up I mean I've done that in games before there was a Fallout yeah exactly right yeah well there is um I don't know it is moving along now um my wife is there and there's sort of a story happening there so maybe it is sort of something pieces going forward they my wife in the game I don't know her name I don't know anyone's G name in the game at all why why were you about to say gay name why why did that happen I was I was going for name and game and I just got

confused I don't think there's anything more to it other than it's Luke yeah yeah so have you found yourself a wife within the game or does your character automatically have have a wife already had one okay so we can't all marry the same woman I'm not interested well we would if we all play the game because it is the same one we don't get to choose we've done that before yeah yeah but I prefer when you know we have the option of not doing that and then we do it anyway yes so that's right but uh I will stick with it I will finish it because I've finished all the Assassin's games I'll just add this one to the list have you played uh did you buy the Xbox One X version of that have you played something that was an Xbox One game on the Xbox One X and been impressed

Assassin Creed okay but oh I I see so yeah because it's the same same version the same game it just gives an update to play on that but have you played it on the Xbox One yes oh so you've played it twice now well I haven't finished it oh so you just swapped mid game oh okay yeah yeah cuz save just goes across consoles right and so it it looks better it does look better and the load time is a lot better and are you on a 4K TV or you want a just a HD TV I'm not on a 4K TV yet how much better does it look Luke not enough just to get one if you weren't thinking about upgrading to uh if you not don't have 4K television and your Xbox one works fine I wouldn't up upgade to it mhm yeah mhm yeah so you're saying I should not upgrade to it yeah like it unless if you need to get a new Xbox for

whatever reason broken or new room get one or if you're getting a 4K defitely get one what if you bought a new room and you need an Xbox to go in it Well yeah if if you have what you got one Xbox in the loud room and then you have your game room which you just sounded funny oh I found a new room in my house better put an Xbox in it anyway sorry I'm just being a dick but yeah that's why I'm thinking about sitting up on the computer cuz I can pick up a 4k monitor for a lot cheaper than a 4K television yeah that's a good point actually and I use uh I have two 4K monitors they're they're only small um but they are 4K at work and it looks so good like I type code at work and it looks so crisp like no it sounds weird but it does look so much better

like the Matrix well at work I mean even even just me at work I've got my retina display in front of me and my second monitor is just a HD monitor it looks yeah I move things to to the side and I'm like oh it's like it shocks me at how disgusting and ugly it is yeah I was surprised by how much better it looks just the just text on it even alone just looks it's like more so weird text how can text look better no but it does though it does it's when I open a game uh when I open any program on my MacBook that doesn't support redner like Final Cut Pro [ __ ] what yeah this is what it used to look like yeah I was okay how did I not notice this for 15 years yeah awful well I will be getting one one day I've

never had a 4k monitor or television speaking of games that look different right you guys know I've been playing uh the Skyrim Edition right yes enjoying that for some time um starting to get a little bit bored you know as time goes on uh and so I was thinking of you know how could I spice up my gaming experience right did you try mods I've tried mods and I'm [ __ ] addicted to mods man I'm so addicted to mods and I I I I've had not even added any story mods I've just added like World building and Atmospheric mods you know yeah that's what I did yeah oh man the problem is you don't get any achievements and yeah but I don't care about that anyway yeah I that's what I

figured I'm not that fussed yeah what I care about is now when I get back to my little cottage it's a [ __ ] castle that's what I care about my wife and kids have been upgraded I've got I've got this big um Dragon Mansion up in the mountains now oh yeah nice with a dragon called falor who lives there that's amazing yeah that's amazing although it's kind of it's a little little I tried not to put mods on that were cheats cuz you know like yeah it's like every it's like oh it's a new house and it's full of gold like right don't do that but this one does have some stuff that's like I shouldn't have access to that right now no cuz I built my house anyway I I lived in Lake View Mana right and I love that place but all I've done is I bought the lake view Mana upgrade pack which basically puts a moat

around it and puts guards there to patrol and uh just makes it it gives you a bigger veggie garden and stuff H wonderful yeah I got the one that puts trees everywhere everything's just really Lush now you know yeah the world is Lush there's the improved lighting mod that I I put on is good yep I got that one too yeah yeah Luke won't do it yeah I've not played one no of course cuz I haven't finished the game yet and the second you put one on you stop getting achievements yeah you know the game is like years old you can restore a save that doesn't have it yeah I know but I need to actually just finish the game anyway yeah I can't add more stuff to it before I do it if you don't do any side

quests and you just rock it through the main story it doesn't take that long to finish cuz at a certain point I decided okay no more side quests until I do it and I did it yeah the main story that is not really that long I guess that's not really the point getting sidetracked really the point of Skyrim you're just supposed to live live live just live man just live live in Skyrim uh and speaking of remasters I saw this article the other day I found very interesting it was about the LA Noir remaster La out this week that we can all agree I think was an amazing game almost yeah and my biggest complaint with it is addressed in this article and

and also somewhat explained uh with my complaint being that I felt whenever I was interrogating someone Cole Phelps the main character that I was controlling was a [ __ ] psycho yeah and I would if I doubted that someone was telling me the truth he would just accuse them of being a murderer and uh and threaten to murder them it was it was very over the top and apparently it's true it's true it just flies off the handle but apparently that's because the the options they give you are truth doubt or lie right and I took I took that to have some subtlety to it apparently there's not there's no subtlety and because when they originally wrote the game the the the prompts the words that you were given as

options were coax force and lie so lie was always the same I guess but um coax and force were different instead of Truth or doubt they had Co and force and that that explains that's a lot different right and so in the remaster uh they've changed it uh it actually it's going to say good cop bad cop and accuse oh okay which I think it does kind of it does it works better based on my at least you know what you're getting into yeah right cuz I I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong like why is he yelling at this person all of a sudden like it's not what I wanted in it's on the switch people spotted this in the on the trailer for The Switch that it was named differently and then they've come out and said yeah that's

because uh we kind of messed that up look I'd give this game another go if they released this remastered Edition for the Xbox One they are yeah November 14th yeah yep um so right tues so in two days time okay y yep well good cuz I always liked it I always liked being a cop in old Hollywood I mean that's just cool there's nothing not cool about that it's just that the game was way too easy in parts and way too difficult in Parts yeah well the whole thing is you can actually skip all of the combat in that game completely yeah you can skip all the driving you can skip all the combat and even if you do what Matt did and just [ __ ] fly off the handle every time you're trying to uh question someone they still progress you to the

next round yep yeah yeah no matter what you do with that game you just it will just lead you to the end but it's still if you get past that and actually play it it is a good game yeah agreed it just got I couldn't there was the bit I'm talking about is where there's that young woman who wanted to be an actress and she was like abducted by this guy and then and who I don't know someone's been found dead or whatever but she's in hospital right she just this young woman who who's been taking advantage of and you're asking her asking her you know what happened and then she goes oh no it was it was just me it was no one else there and I'm like I don't think that's true and then my guy's like [ __ ] you [ __ ] tell me the [ __ ] you killed him didn't you you [ __ ] killed him

whoa I think that's exactly what he said yeah that's what I it was I'm like no I'm good I'll play something else but I just remember how good this game looked on the the 360 so I'm interested see how this is going to look on the Xbox one yeah yeah uh it's onwi back then and also Doom came out on the or comes out on the switch very soon too I'm probably I've heard it's like thought is it's it is still fun and it's worthwhile to go back to for people who have played it again it's not as good looking as it is yeah Doom the graphics turn they turned down the graphics to make it run a bit smoother but it doesn't have like like cuz on Xbox One and PC and PS4 it's like 60 frames a second like it's incredibly smooth and it's apparently a bit a bit more janky

on the switch but still good also I really want to play Super Mario Odyssey that is that out or is that coming out no it's out okay pass yeah I want to play it but I won't yeah that's really do want to play it but doesn't sound I know I'd have to play the switch you've got a switch already yeah I know i' have to play it he'd have to open the box map just send me the switch then I just I try I I tried to play Zoda when I was in packs and just no okay game's just terrible don't know what people saw in it there's not a 10 out of 10 game people fair enough you need to let Matt be the judge of that yeah Merry Christmas to

me bring on Mario Party that will be a game I will play on it yeah providing that Matt is not Waluigi because he's banned because he princess I don't care I'm always I can't I can't not be Waluigi I have a Waluigi hat to when I play it you can't do that to me oh that's just going to make it worse I will let you play while while Luigi you know what I want to play again I want to play Kung Fu Chaos that's a great game you remember that for the Xbox originalx have that oh man if they would make any game backwards compatible I wish they' do that one yeah I think they are making that one if it's not already love cuz they are making original Xbox games back was compatible in the Xbox one now I heard

do an updated version of it yeah man animals who are ninjas f filming a kung fu movie yeah that was a great concept great so good and once you've played each level they watch the movie go back and show the movie of it it's amazing yeah it was really good remaster please please with online play that'd be great yeah well we'd have to have that now wouldn't we yeah otherwise we could play it maybe once every 5 years yeah still more than I've played it in the last 10 years yeah well there you go there's a lot to talk about tonight guys I know I was like we do we stay on get the games news done or should we just jump about a bit man if there's more

games news we can we can stay on games well is anyone still playing Pokémon go uh is it this is it still the first weekend after that game came out then no well would you be interested in playing the new version of it that's being wor on which is pretty much Harry Potter go no no well I don't know is there actually a game in this version um I think it's going to be pretty much the same thing H cuz it's being worked on by Niantic who made Pokémon go right so I don't think it'll be you can't be catching things well I haven't seen catching sne I haven't seen uh Harry Potter so I don't know what there is to catch and not catch but seitch and that's it you haven't seen any of I

saw a bit of one and most of another one they weren't for me but you couldn't say which one no I know which ones I've seen I've seen uh I've seen a bit of that one where Dobby gets a sock yep I think it's called Dobby gets a sock yeah Harry Potter and Dobby sock and Dobby gets a sock and then there was one that was slightly better than that that had uh Gary Oldman um oh yeah Harry Potter and the Gary Oldman Harry Potter and a bit of time travel and Gary Oldman I think it was called yeah and that that was okay that was okay but it certainly didn't make me want to watch another one or even go back and watch the beginning of that one that's prisoner of asan and I actually wonder it might actually be the same movie I'm not sure was

dobyan I think in a highly possible that I've only seen different bits of one and I just didn't realize tobby gets a sock in which movie I think it might be the same movie I mean Gary Alin was in a few of them but I mean unless that's a thing and in every movie at the end of the movie Dobby gets a sock it's like the the metal ceremony at the end of uh Star Wars maybe no no I'm wrong he gets freed and enslaved again at the start of the next movie no he gets the sock in chamber of secrets so never mind Chamber of Secrets I would not have guessed the ti of that but cool the one with the Basilisk no I don't know what that is it's a big snake that turns you into

stone o yeah not interested yeah I think I stopped watching after about the third movie well I watched all of them and I read the books I read the books but yeah the movies I just couldn't couldn't finish him fair enough you read all the books no Star Wars you read all the books yeah yeah wow wow back when I used to know how to read there's only seven of them they're pretty the later ones are pretty long though but they were good right uh well no seven books eight movies yes they split the last movie into two which made no sense because that was actually a smaller book than someone of the others it yeah but and then they turned out all right I think those

movies the the last two in particular so I don't h no no no I thought they were pretty good right but yeah so yeah they're making that game it's an evidently they're making some more Harry Potter games as well to come out on consoles yeah I thought Harry Potter sort of went away yeah I mean that seems really no cuz the the new movie came out just there's a new Harry Potter movie yeah Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them okay oh that's probably what the game is you got to find some Fantastic Beasts the movie the movie tells you where to find them is that is that the title New York New York I think you find them right okay but but it can't be exactly the same game uh probably it is because it's all just the same as that Ingress

game the original game that they made Yeah so basically the way this works is that somebody at the marketing department went well it says here that x% of people aren't playing this and they went well maybe they're Harry Potter fans and not Pokémon fans so we'll do that version slap a Dobby on top of that Pikachu give him a sock give everyone coming out next year so I'll see you all online the weekend that comes out and then we never play it again yep fine actually I still play Pokémon go every now and again really yep someone will say oh there's a rare Pokemon I'll go in I'll catch it and then I'll turn it off again not only do I not play Pokémon go anymore I don't have any games on my phone at all bar

one Str thing stranger things game yeah same is that it good yeah yeah pretty good it is actually it's pretty fun except I always forget that I have it because I don't play games on my phone very often anymore yeah correct yeah in fact mine's on a screen all of its own like I got all my apps in folders on one screen and then you you swipe right and there's stranger things yeah so that's just to try and remind you that it's there or no it's because I haven't even found a spot for it because I don't have a folder called games anymore let it live let it live by itself yeah it is it is so look on that note fellas I haven't had a lot of time to watch TV but this weekend I made some

time for stranger things however oh I have one more episode to go of season no spoilers please yes of season two what do you think of it so it last night okay well we won't talk about the the finale but what what do you think of it overall uh overall started a little slow for me okay it took me about the third episode before I was really into it again M mhm mhm that wasn't my experience in fact if if if anything I thought it it hit the ground running and I was I was right in and then there was one or two episodes in the middle that lost me a little bit but I must admit for all its flaws and there are plenty I just love watching this show so much so

it's probably not as good as season 1 it probably doesn't have that kind of killer plotline That season 1 had but I don't care I'm just I'm eating it up [ __ ] eating it yeah I didn't I didn't like it as much as I liked the first season but I mean I did Bing binge watch the whole thing and it's not like I didn't I did like it it's just I don't think it was as good as the first season it was never going to compared to the the first season no there's no way they could recreate that true I I don't uh and I'm I'm certain you would have both already seen it cuz it's earlier than the last episode the episode where 11 yeah her episode her Standalone episode that was a bad episode that's a very bad episode

and I they don't spin when I was watching that I was thinking I bet Matt doesn't like this well apparently a lot of people didn't like it I'm not alone is that right I just don't know what was happening with that story arc it just sort of didn't really go anywhere yeah well it did yeah yeah there's just can I just say one thing I'm sure it'll come back at some stage yeah in a spin-off TV show no I bet it won't now because enough people were like that was a rubbish episode that they they're like yeah yep y forget it perhaps perhaps look there's something that I've noticed recently that I uh I find a little bit disturbing right cuz I I love stranger things and I love all the characters right and they're all great actors all those kids

are seriously good actors right yes but uh I think everyone's taking their admiration of some of them a little too far right sure I mean I mean one of them got molested recently which is just sick and sad and wrong right who got molested what I read an article about one of Finn whatever his name is Finn wolf Finn wolfard oh that's such a sexual name isn't it wolfard maybe that's why he got molested anyway Finn wolfard him yeah Finn wolfard got molested by his manager [ __ ] me yeah man molested that's crazy I know well that's not cool but then so there's an Instagram model called Ali Michael right M she's probably not the kind of person that any of us would follow I think she's just some SL on the internet right no neither

would I but she tweeted she didn't tweet [ __ ] I don't know she said on the internet um Finn wolfard um come and find me in four years right and uh and then he just he just like this is a kid who's just been molested right he doesn't have a sense of humor about this [ __ ] so he's publicly disgraced her and she had to come out and apologize but beyond that right W magazine has just cited Millie Bobby Brown AKA 11 as the sexiest TV star of the year now she's a great actress but she's not sexy no she's a child that's [ __ ] child that's weird he uh Finn W the other day I read an article about how fans were mad at him and he he he got like abused on Twitter cuz he uh some

some fans lined up outside this hotel you was staying at and he he arrived and kind of just walked in and didn't really acknowledge them cuz he's a [ __ ] human being and he's probably sick of your [ __ ] and he's a [ __ ] child yeah yeah exactly kids and then they got some apparently they started yelling there's a video online of them yelling oh you're rude come say hello you you know you rude piece of [ __ ] and uh and then people got really mad at him and then he yeah he basically got on Twitter and was like [ __ ] off like if you say you're a fan and you're going to treat me this way like maybe you need to rethink you know whether you're really a fan or not and I was like that's great yeah I've just found his quote to uh the model who said come back and find me

when you're 18 he says I find you gross and weird yeah but like seriously I did talking about the other day the say like I've said before like I would be the worst celebrity because I would be that guy [ __ ] ignoring you all like I don't I don't want people harassing 247 like it sounds like the worst thing ever yeah you know who you remind me of mayard James Keenan it's made me laugh though this is worse than that yeah I know so mayard James Keenan uh very famously all of the Bands he's in have a no photos policy because he he his opinion is this is a quote from him recently no recording of any kind for 25 years guided experience

unplug and enjoy the ride and recently at A Perfect Circle show 60 people were thrown out of the show for taking photos amazing 60 people removed 60 [ __ ] people and then I cuz I saw the the first article says 60 people were kicked out and I was like oh that's security gone mad like they told us when I saw Han Zimmer they said um you know no photos no video I'll have to kick you out and I was like oh oh fine uh and then a few people taking photos and they came over and they said please don't do that but they didn't kick 60 people out and I expected the band to come back and say that's disgusting you know we we're really sorry but he was like yep don't [ __ ] take photos of me

he was probably the one who asked for it apparently that was their policy and apparently they have a little video that they play before the show of him going don't take photos of me amazing yeah not not I mean I make it sound like he just doesn't want people photographing him he just thinks that the band's show is that good that like you should just be enjoying it according to what be other people who have got their phone up filming which they're never going to watch that what they film I know but you know your [ __ ] audience like that's what people do when they go see bands now like yeah that's what they do when they go and see literally anything thing yeah it's like we're the filming

on our phones generation it's just what happens yes you take that back I am no not a part of that generation I saw I saw Matt getting some nice shots of the uh periphery concert the other night yep very nice well I like to share with my friends yeah well I couldn't be there so I had a good look yeah did you but yeah that was for Snapchat did you film anything no no no I just sent snaps a few few bits and you s like four snaps and that was it yeah yeah and then you sat back and enjoyed the show exactly yeah D that's fine but the sit there doing that would get you and 59 other people kicked out of your perfect circle concert yeah I don't know I just think it's it's very like you sound like a an old man like yeah this is not how you attract young people to come and see

your band you know well does he need to say to be fair May do seem like somebody gives a [ __ ] if young people come to his band or not no well that's fair enough I guess I guess just and he's not the only one a lot of bands have said recently that they don't understand the practice and they discourage people from doing it like uh members have Disturbed slipnot and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have all spoken out against bands recording shows with their smartphones like yep yeah I get it but like they're the they're the fans like if without them like it's yeah kick them all out then I guess see how you how that works out but but seriously the people who do that they they're never going to watch that video and they're just making it harder for people behind them to see I know and then look

up videos taken on a smartphone of a concert on YouTube and then see if anyone's going to be watching that probably not like it sounds like crap it's just a I don't know it's just a thing people like to do they like to because we everyone shares everything these days like you know look at how much food I don't share no I know I don't that often either I I really share stuff with you guys I did post a photo the other day I went to uh the PE body essics museum and I saw the it's a live exhibit which is yes bunch of Kirk hammet's horror movie memorabilia on quite the collector yeah so it was really really good nice did they have his custom guitars there with the movie posters yep they did had a bunch of those display

they had uh he's got costumes from uh from he's got Bell lugosi's costume from White Zombie and he's got uh let's he got he's got um um Boris Carlo's costume from uh from black cat I think maybe but yeah just some like just obscure but really interesting things uh yeah lots of original movie posters and and some original paintings that the movie posters are based on it was great if you're in the area it's in Salem in Mass which is a little nice little town anyway uh check it out I do like Salem yeah it's a cool place it's good at Halloween but it's also good at not Halloween in my opinion I have not been at Halloween so I can't I can't say if it is good then it's a

very different place at Halloween I can tell you that cuz you know when we were there and it was kind of like deserted and uh it's kind of interesting to walk around yeah it at Halloween it's more like Disneyland where you can't get anywhere cuz there's too many people yeah sounds like Disneyland still fun it's just different fun but sh Disney yes yeah have you heard what they're trying to do or might be doing I don't know has it been confirmed no it hasn't been confirmed I mean it's confirmed that they're in talks but it hasn't actually happened yet no deal has been signed but Disney are buying Fox they're in negotiation to buy 20th Century

Fox that's which that's seems like too much seems like they've gone too far well it'll mean some good things for their franchises oh yeah they'll get Fantastic 4 and X-Men back yeah that's right yeah so X-Men can can join the Marvel Universe again oh Indiana Jones Indiana Jones as well they'll be able to release the original Star Wars movies cuz their distribution rights are 20th Century Fox ah wait is that why we have the special editions I don't know because I know we've talked about all the various reasons why we you know like the actual reasons why because of his you know his first wife did the editing and all that all that weird stuff but is it maybe he's just the special editions are his way of getting around that yeah maybe

maybe could be hm well cuz yeah they will release it one day when they want more money but no it would be great to see the Xmen in the Marvel Universe yeah what happens with the two quick Silvers right they already killed one it's fine yeah the new one can just come in yep that's fine with me anyway to be honest but yet do they own too much if they get Fox I don't know it depends on your cuz I was like aren't there laws to companies from getting as big as Disney seems to be getting they're only laws if they also own the distribution method so you you can't own the company that makes the movie distributes the movie and screens the movie okay okay all they're buying is the actual making side so the licenses to produ all of them yeah do you remember

that game uh Monster Mash the board game from when we were kids where you had to make monsters out of PlayDoh oh and then as you went around the board if I landed on your Square I would just mush my monster into yours and I would just have a bigger monster and you would have one less that's that's Disney yeah just absorbing everything yeah just the Bor ex it's the beated but I think they they are doing it well they're not just buying it and then putting a Disney spin on it they're buying it and then keeping it its own thing still which is nice yeah they've done all right with that like when they even when they brought Star Wars they're not making everything PG most people family friendly most people don't know that Disney owns Marvel or or Star Wars

we're even announcing this stuff yeah all right so talk me what do we got what do we got Luke all right we've got the three new the Trilogy coming out mhm by it's Ryan Johnson isn't it correct y yeah so let's just that's been announced that he's directing episode 8 yeah Last Jedi was directec isn't out yet right and they're so confident that that this is a successful good film they love it so much that they've already told him and and presumably are in pre-production on three brand new films that have nothing to do with the Skywalker stuff it's like three a Trilogy of films that's set somewhere else in in the Star Wars Universe got nothing to do with the other F in other words it's a brand new Star Wars Trilogy correct like as I told

you in the chat the other day like for him I think it's a bit crazy if they give it to the director of Rogue one I could understand that because people seen mov is already out yeah yeah yeah and people loved it I know so what if hates the Last Jedi I mean he under contract right you know they've announced this it means he signed something surely that's true but they did fire Colin trevo yeah that's true so he can still be fired but I mean it just seems like you don't even know what people think of the movie it's I mean again maybe maybe that it's that good that they're they're that confident but yeah I don't know cuz cuz it worries me because I'm worried that it's going suck cuz I don't like what Ryan Johnson's done in the past and the

trailer for The Last Jedi I don't like it so we'll see we will indeed see but he's not necessarily directing the trilogy he's just been given it to develop yeah but I mean if Mark Hamill is anyone to go by he [ __ ] hates the direction that Ryan Johnson has taken this in and he is very outspoken that he strongly disapproves of what Ryan Johnson has done with the last ji would this just have something to do with the fact that maybe Luke gets killed off in it and that's Mark Hill's paycheck gone we didn't seem to give a [ __ ] for 30 years yeah no but Luke's Luke's opinion of Mark Hill is that this is a

desperate man who's just constantly vying for work no I love Mark and I know he actually does do a lot of work he's a very big in the voice acting Community but I just like to think of it that yeah that's the reason he's upset yeah maybe he got a lot of [ __ ] money for these movies a lot of money he would have made more for these three movies than he's made in the last 10 years yeah but but yes because he got paid a [ __ ] ton yes I know and I read an article the other day that about how uh you know they agreed to pay him a [ __ ] out of money and he came back to do this film and then they were like oh you you don't even say anything in this one and he apparently was upset about it it's like sure he was yeah sure he was yeah no I could see him being upset I know

I'm just being fous but yeah no he would have known he would have known he wouldn't have been upset he would have known apparently he he sign he signed on before he saw the he would have signed before yeah he would have signed before he knew what was happening and then they sent him the script uh because apparently when they were developing it they they'd approached them all cuz they didn't want to write Luke in without checking first and then after he had signed on and they wrote the script and then they realized that they wanted to move Luke's story back uh then they eventually sent him the script and then JJ ABS wrote him a little note that was like uh yeah you might think this is odd um bear with me right yeah you will be you will be in

this more oh that's what I I was going to talk about this stranger things but speaking of JJ ABS as well I watched Super Eight again last night Jen and I watched Super Eight does it hold up because I just in my mind it's [ __ ] great yeah it is [ __ ] excellent and it just yeah reminded me that because actually kind of I think that was the first recent thing that kind of brought back that 80s kids having an adventure thing yeah that's right and then now now we got stranger things and it and and all that anyway sorry yeah yeah and now apparently sha Austin has come out and said that there might be Goonies too but it might be animated and now I think he's talking out of his ass he just wants to be in everything yeah he was

very good yeah he's strange things he's back he's happy he wants to work again that is one Luke that I will give you I will allow you to paint Sean Austin with that brush he's wrote on on ComiCon this weekend I saw yesterday I saw Tony danzza In the Flesh on Friday by the way Tony danzza yeah did you hold him closer he did good but that's not the only Star Wars announcement no the other one I don't know anything about well I don't think they know anything about it either this is for what I've heard they've announced a television show which they've done in the past and we're still waiting yeah yeah look I think I'm a little bit more confident that it will come out this time than anytime in the past simply because they seem to really

just be milking this cash cow for all it's worth at the moment so and it's it's going to be on their streaming service the Disney streaming service and if that's seems like the best way to ensure that people will sign up for another [ __ ] streaming service have a Star Wars TV show that's not on anything else exclusive that's right well at the moment it works well if you're in Australia because we don't have that streaming server [ __ ] yeah right well I don't think any does yet no we're just getting it on Netflix yeah the Disney one doesn't exist yet that's I thought it was out already I don't think so no no that's they pulled uh they well you won't have Disney on Netflix I think soon because we we have it too at the moment but they're I think it next year

it's all going to disappear and then they're going to launch this new thing in Australia we do get some weird things like d Star Trek the new television show that's the CBS streaming service we've got it on Netflix yeah and also uh Guardians of the Galaxy and a couple of other movies that were available on Netflix in Australia they're not on Netflix here yep just yeah licensing things yeah stupid licensing but this yeah I think this is definitely definitely what they're going to use to to get people to sign up um it's going to work I'll sign up for sure it'll work yeah for sure like it's not a crazy idea to do because yeah it will work in all my years of wanting more Star Wars I'm worried that we've gone too far yeah

well I don't know the thing I'm sort of liking at the moment is it's being broken up like if we were if every single movie in every single television show was all based off the Skywalker story yeah I probably wouldn't get too much too quickly but because it's been broke up we had like episode 7 then we had Rogue one completely different well wow yeah now sort of and then we're going to have episode eight but then we're going to have a young Han Sol so it's not going to be just one continuous story going and I think that might keep it going a little bit longer okay for me I would I I can go without young Han Solo thanks I would like completely different characters like you don't I would actually not if you want to see young Han Solo you know

what you can do you can go and watch the old ones well I think with like completely new I think that's like that was Rogue one and that I think the television series will be completely new stories well Rogue one's not completely new though like that's it it's had still had Darth Vader and it still had tarken and it was it was still in the same story line as the others I think what I would prefer you're always going to have that Rebels Imperial you're never going to get away from that right but no but this literally had the same people in it in in a lot in some cases no cuz they were all dead Mon mothma and Darth Vader and Taren what do you mean tark's dead Peter crushing died years

ago what do you mean um yeah but the I'm talking about the character not the actor no I'm talking about the actors what so the guy who played Darth Vader not one of the other guys is dead so if they remade Star Wars Episode 4 A New Hope but with different actors you'd be like this a brand new film I've never seen this before nobody's the same okay yeah be completely different all right we let know they can save some money on script writing just reuse the same script swap the actors out [ __ ] they wouldn't get Dave like that he hates it when they do that when they swap actors on him oh man he does not like that [ __ ] hates it yeah but I think he only hates that as

much as he did because he thinks that um Kate Katie homes Katy Holmes Katie Holmes is the greatest living actor and he was just he thought that the world was robbed of another of her performances by Maggie J I don't think she was that good she's not allowed to act anymore is she well I'm being factious because she's not that good she's never that good no I know but I I don't think no I think she is low now she just why she Escape Tom Cruz right she just doesn't yeah well fair enough um I want to brief you still haven't seen Blade Runner 2049 have you Luke no I have not no well thanks to you and and the other people who didn't go and see it I guess but you specifically Blade Runner 2049 was a box office flop

I could have told you before it came out that was going to be a flop yeah not because it's a bad movie just because due to the fact that no it's definitely not for everybody I uh I've had conversations with the people who are like really you liked that that boring movie that I watched yeah I mean I've had conversation with people that said things to the tune of I can see why you liked it Dan I can see why you liked it yeah but I love the way that this uh SL film article starts did you see Blade Runner 2049 probably not yeah that's right talking to Luke I I must say like it's it's one of my top picks of the year yeah absolutely I loved it I know just for some reason I I do want to see it but I don't want to go

to the movies to see it no you do Luke you really do man yeah I don't understand do like okay if it was just one of those movies where I say look the script is everything it's a talkie it's just characters talking it's really good but don't waste 1350 on it seeing at the cinema just wait and watch a DVD when it comes out it's not that kind of movie man it's [ __ ] beautiful yeah it's like the cinematography in it is like it's just it's you got to see it it's like it's I don't understand what's wrong with people but yes it it it is uh has not been financially successful uh actually lost $8

million yeah yeah $8 million to to be clear it has made back more than its production budget but they marketed the [ __ ] out of this and as we know they often spend just as much on the marketing as they do on the film itself which is why they're the 80 million behind right it's crazy but of course that's circular logic because you could if you'd said well you shouldn't have marketed as much was like well then then you get less people seeing it yeah yeah no I'm going to I question that now I reckon you could Market less and still do the same I don't know they built the the hype is the is the thing now like yeah but you that hype is all online now I'm saying you don't really need the Billboards and

magazine stuff as much to Fair we were always going to go and see this well you didn't Luke but we were going to we were going to go and see this because we have Nostalgia for Blade Runner most people don't so if they wanted people who weren't their target audience to go on see it which they did because everything has to be a mainstream movie now like then you have to do traditional advertising you have to I know go anyway I know someone who watched who hadn't seen the first one and was excited to see the new one watched the first one and then decided they didn't want to see the new one cuz the first one was boring yeah so H I don't know I don't know why but yes I actually and I I worry too that the um well I'm not worried because who cares

because they paid to go see it but the marketing maybe got people in there who were like the [ __ ] am I watching yeah but I guess that's the point of it yeah but I mean you don't want that I mean do you guys remember when uh get this was on the radio on Triple M yeah uh and it was their highest well it was their highest rating segment and they canel it because people were switching over to triem who weren't triem listeners just here get this cuz it was intelligent and hilarious and then they switch it back to their other station and also I I believe they didn't play enough music or advertising cuz they were too busy talking being awesome yeah and I think they got they got upset about that too [ __ ] I still got those podcast

episodes and I've never forget I actually I listened to the final episode of get this and you won't find this on the internet anywhere unless someone managed to record it off the radio where Greg fleet called the trip executive a bunch of [ __ ] live on the air yeah yeah that got edited out for the podcast release wow that's great yeah yeah I used to listen to it only on the podcast I don't think I ever actually owned a radio I mostly did about at the time I forget where was I working oh it's when I was a location scout oh yeah car so yeah I used to throw it on the car yeah yeah Greg why I ding around so much we wanted Greg Fleet for something once and Lee rang him up and was like

can you come and do this gig in like two months or something he's like what's it pay he's like oh not much it's like 150 bucks he's like yeah I'll do it can you get me that money today [ __ ] Greg Fleet yeah what's he do now I don't want to know yeah he's standing in line between Mark Hamill and who else was it Luke SE Austin Shan Austin cuz I remember when he first came on for those who don't know Greg fleet's an Australian comedian but he he I think I don't want to liel him but I believe he had a bit had some some drug issues he did I'm telling you right now man he did yeah so uh I I believe his his career suffered as a as a result of that which is kind of ironic because his his shtick was just talking about taking

drugs you know what I mean so I don't know why anyone was surprised when he went downhill but then he he he must have been friends with Tony Martin so he was on get this and I was like Greg Fleet but he was very funny on that show yeah and like in it redeemed himself in my eyes quite a bit like I was like this guy's quite funny like he you know his his I felt like his comedy shows were kind of low bar kind of you know but he but on the on to get this he was he was pretty funny and then uh yeah and then he vanished again yeah he did um and Richard marsland committed suicide [ __ ] man I had forgotten about that mhm yep yeah faking blew my mind I

can't believe that Richard marsland committed suicide yeah he was uh he was the producer I believe the show and then he became like a third host in a D who used to kind of just chime in every now and he was like the Carl Pilkington exactly yeah yeah yeah very sad what's the name of that Cockney Australian comedian who was on the Jim Owen show and then oh you know who I'm talking about yeah yeah yeah with the shaved head yeah correct and I'm trying to think of his name because I want to tell a story about him but uh is it Dave is his name Dave something I know I know who you mean is I'll talk like this I'm very straight man yeah yeah [ __ ] what's

his name I have no idea who you're talking hold on hold on let me okay Jim Owen and Dave not Dave Hughes Bob Franklin Bob Franklin no yeah it is Bob Franklin Bob Franklin used to be a guest star on get this as well yeah right because they actually had a segment called who can shock Bob Franklin that's right because people used to ring up and tell him ridiculous stories and he'd be like well I'm surprised but I don't know if I'm shocked yeah it was amazing and the only time I actually did see that him shocked is that somebody rang up and said I own the entire the entire season of barge ass on DVD and he's like you have you have well and truly shocked

me [ __ ] barge us God that's a that's a that's an Australian classic yeah well speaking of Classics Dan you gave uh Age of Ultron a rewatch yeah listeners will know that I've gone back to the start of the Marvel films and I'm watching them through in order although I'm also still watching the new ones as they come out so I'm actually just seeing them completely [ __ ] around the wrong way but you'll remember that I got a little bit a little bit bored with Marvel for a little little while there um yeah and then they've released some some now that have been good enough that have made me go back and catch up and I must say when you watch them all back toback and you don't skip any they are

they do build a really rich story and and so I've I've had to kind of eat my hat on this one a little bit um and nothing more than Avengers Age of Ultron which I famously couldn't get past the first 10 minutes twice I tried to watch it and it turned it off um but I made it all the way through this week and [ __ ] me did I love it so really Age of Ultron I apologize you know you you know the Avengers right but as a sequel you're okay some good stuff so I feel like i' owed Age of Ultron and apology you owe Jos Weeden an apology I owe Jos Weeden nothing but uh I do want to watch it again I I cuz I saw it at the at the movies and I like I

didn't dislike it but I was not blown away by it like I was by the first one yeah and I think that's why it took me a couple of times to get into it but um you and conversely I really enjoyed Civil War at the at the theater and then I rewatched it and I was like uh yeah yeah yeah see I haven't seen that as I struggled through see I really enjoyed it but a lot of it didn't make sense to me because I ski so many by that time but it was Civil War being so good that made me go back to the start right yeah he's not bad it's just I just didn't end that's cuz you got to watch Infinity Wars just ended when they were unhappy with each other didn't have to make up then get upset with each other again no well if they'd ended when they were just unhappy with

each other it wouldn't have been called Civil War and it would have just been called civil disagreement yeah but then they became friends that they got upset just I didn't care for it yeah you think they should have just left it open-ended and they're like and they never spoke to one another again yep what's wrong with that Marvel's Captain America [Laughter] estrangement remember the Hulk we don't talk about the Hulk could The Hulk and banner be on different sides of that battle that would been don't you speak his name in my presence um sorry Tony so a girl from my work went and saw um Thor Ragnarok which by the way I loved uh I haven't been on

the podcast since I saw it um yeah [ __ ] great we discuss it in detail next we 10 out of 10 um well am I allowed to give any spoilers this week I want to talk about a week [ __ ] coming from Luke that's Miracle can I talk about something that was in the trailer yeah do it it'll be fine yes okay trailer is fine so a girl at my work went and saw it having not watched the trailer right and she said her mind was [ __ ] blown when the Hulk was in it and it just made me instantly wish they had never put that in the trailer because imagine you didn't know that yeah y cuz there there's even like there's Clues to it leading out again there not going to be a spoiler because this is just a background thing you might notice

but there there's little clues that the Hulk might be in it when when they're explaining what's going to happen like you know have you've seen the trailer you know that it's kind of like a gladiator fight thing and like there's like artwork and and and posters and things around that kind of give you a clue but you don't get a good look at it's just yeah it's set up like you're not supposed to know yeah I think originally you probably weren't meant to and then oh you definitely weren't meant to yeah word got out and then they just went with it yeah it's a shame I watched a great video uh of Tao y TI doing like a like a run through of just one of the action scenes and how he how he compos how he put the scene together and and and

talking about you know why certain things happen certain ways cuz he thinks it's funnier and it was a really actually really good video it's like like him kind of sketching over the top of the scene on a on a tablet that's great yeah yeah was uh I'll see if I can find it I'll put the the link in but yeah it's a good little it's it's on YouTube uh I think it actually was Vanity Fair Vanity Fair tyy TD talking about it just look it up it was yeah it was a good video he's a funny guy well let's talk in more detail about it next week then when we can give spoilers yes let's do that sounds good so a couple of weeks ago we were talking about Reddit right and Luke

mused that he finds Reddit uh really unaccessible right just finds it uninviting and hard to use and I kind of confess that I've never purposely gone on Reddit but that the times I've accidentally gone on it I I did find it the same a little unfriendly right M so I decided uh during the week that I should really I should really get my head around Reddit right so um in a new segment called Dan only gets into stuff after it stopped being cool um I'd like to tell you all about something I found on the internet that I really really love it's called Reddit and I'm [ __ ] I don't know how I [ __ ] lived without this yeah I I check it all the time it's like I don't even go to news anymore I just get everything everything

from Reddit now I'll tell you what's import important and if if because if something happens you to know about it it's going to be down voted right yeah and the things that are important are going to get put right in front of my face yep so um the only problem with this now is that I'm not going to have every every week I'm going to be like did you see this thing and you like yeah I did yeah yeah yeah it was like when slowly all of us discovered geek Tyrant and then all of the stuff in the spreadsheet for a little while was all from Geek Tyrant yeah so I stopped doing that because I I now everything in here for me is Slash film yeah sometimes if I find something on geek Tyrant I'll see if I can find a Second Source on it and past that in no but the thing is when

you find a a a like a curate a curator of stuff it's very good like uh yeah like geek tant is is good because I find um he's pretty on the money right and same with SL film like the stuff that they post on there they they filter out things that I'm probably not going to be interested in most of the time like the stuff that they are interested in I'm interested in so so and same with Reddit yeah exactly right so I found a subreddit that I particularly enjoy and I want to share with you guys okay okay okay so you may have seen this you may not have but this subreddit is called nsfw411 right which is basically a forum for people asking if certain porn exists

right right so everyone basically just goes on and Chucks out in there is there a subreddit for this is there a subreddit for that right right and um I I spent hours in a loop the other day just just reading these they're so specific how do you even how do you even learn you're into this [ __ ] right can I can I share some with you yes of course here we go is there any porn of a girl pouring gravy over her naked body gravy specifically other sex acts considered okay I'll go on gravy that's gross is there a subreddit for porn where two [ __ ] touch each other girl welcome but not necessary is there a subreddit subreddit is there a subreddit for girls wearing
