The Hannuke Strikes Back: Solo Trailer Reaction & Infinity War Trailer

[Music] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy Luke okay so you may have just heard the normal intro that you hear every week or you may have just heard me start talking um reason for that Matt and Dan have decided to leave me on my own and to leave me to do everything so not just record and throw it to Matt or Dan to edit and upload I expect me to do that all myself as well so don't expect a lot of intros outros or even Jingles for this episode I do have Hannah with

me to give me a hand this week though hi everyone I'm back it's nice to have you back it's always fun when you're around and I think Dan and Matt like it as well I hope so or it would be a little bit awkward no I think they like it because it's nice to be able to listen to an episode and have no idea what's going to happen CU you weren't a part of it to be fair they often have no idea what's going to happen in a podcast anyway well I never have any idea what's going on at all so now we all know some trailers came out this week and I know everyone is dying to know Hannah what did you think of the solo trailer first of all I think it's a pretty big call to make me the Arbiter of taste when it comes to Star Wars movies especially considering the fact I

have not actually watch this trailer um how can you not seen the trailer I watched the teaser trailer for the trailer well in many ways not doing something is easier than doing something that's true yeah yeah and to be honest I kind of think that the idea of a solo movie at all is just unnecessary like episode 3 why do you need episode three when you've had episode 2 and episode 4 you can fill in the spaces what it's true like you know what's happened you know what's going to happen next why do you need to fill in the Gap cuz they didn't need episode 1 2 or 3 at all but since you haven't seen it why don't we just watch it now I guess kicking and screaming as how take you to All Star Wars movies all right

so so yeah this was came out at the Super Bowl which seems the way to show everything these days I've watched this probably three or four times just before we started recording I don't know how many times I've seen it now who are these people um you're watching Han Solo I forget who is played by why is he dressed like a Game of Thrones extra yeah that's not really very clear um I'm sorry did a Mr like an A team thing I'm putting together a team thing just happened yes now it's I'm very concerned about this some things it looks like it's going to be quite good like with the

they're sticking with the story that I've always known that Han Solo was an imperial pilot so from the books and the backstory which are no longer Cannon um H solo became an imperial officer yep and the reason where he came along with he watched another Imperial officer whipping chewbaca and was going to whip him to death oh and Han Solo intervened yep and stopped him being being killed and that's where the whole partnership between chewbaca and um Han Sol started with chewbaca giving him a life debt but Han was stripped of his rank in the Imperial Army and left to go and that's where he sort of went on become a Smuggler from there

and that leads me to the point of why do we need this movie then because if this is known that's not known anymore that's all Legend So that looks like they are sticking with he is an imperial officer but that's sort of it um one thing I picked up and I spoke to Dan mat about the other week was MH remember the at the end of force awakens how they made a big deal about the dice no okay there were I'm sorry like I did watch the movie I was there ah this was the fuzzy dice thing and they're like oh look it used to hang from our rear view window miror thing which we mysteriously had in a spaceship yes

that's the exact thing um so also from like the Original Stories and everything Han did win the Millennium Falcon from Land Carin which still look like they're going to do in this movie but my theory is that instead of going with the whole card game that is we've always known they're actually going to change that over to being a dice game which I'm not looking forward to I think it's a bit generous to keep saying which we've always known like I don't I think they're very few people who are as invested in the entire Star Wars back catalog extended Universe let's be honest here but uh now they've really something that really upset me there was there were pictures leaked a while ago

that showed the Millennium Falcon with a different front end so instead of being that short stocky thing it's actually quite long and Dy came out at the time went no they're not ours they're not real but then they turned out to be true and they were actually from Lego and the trailer has also shown the ship to have this extended front end so you know that at some point the ship's going to crash and they're going to have to rebuild it or something but they've just changed the complete design of the Millennium Falcon which is just ridiculous how do we know that there aren't two Millennium Falcons well there used to be because it used to be this is a type of frig a

yt400 so there's hundreds of them yeah so is there any chance that maybe they started off with this extended one had a bit of an accident replaced it with a shortnose one entirely and hoped Lando wouldn't notice I don't think that's how it's going to work okay but if this comes true I'm taking the role of podcast s sser but that's my role no not if I'm right about the Falcons the other problem I have with the trailer is if you saw the interior of the Falcon it looks brand new isn't but isn't this set like back in the day why can't they have new things why don't you want them to have nice things Luke do you think Chewy is meant to be on the stinky ship all the time well they turned it into the stinky ship

later don't they maybe that's cultural I don't know I think it would be nice to have it not it should be newer but it looks brand new which just I don't know it just doesn't work for me so your complaint is the Millennium Falcon isn't enough like the secondhand car you've picked up where someone 's you know given a quick vacuum of the Upholstery and stuck a little pine tree air freshener to try and trick you into thinking it's a little bit newer yeah exactly you want to bring that secondhand cast salesman Vibe into this yep now I don't think the Solo movie is going to be a success this this one has had problems from the start and I actually I have another idea of what Disney should do so Disney and Hollywood I know you listen

to me I know you listen to our podcast get away from these movies I still want you to make Star Wars movies but I want you to make more Rogue one than solo so Rogue one in the sense that it's a fully contained story flashes out the background but doesn't actually impact the plot in any way whatsoever of the main trilogies y having someone come back and replay a character it's never going to work it's going to upset people and you got reinvent the story and O hang on I need to I need to stop you on that one just quickly because there's a rumor going around possibly fueled by the man himself that you and McGregor's coming back the OB W yep now does this fall into the category of hey man it's cool if you reprise that

role or is it o awkward it would be cool if you if they do make it I really do hope that they have him played a role mhm cuz he is that character now but I don't think they should make that movie at all because to make that movie they have to somehow invent a story cuz we all know that we all know that Obi-Wan allegedly we all know Obi-Wan hung around on tne watching this young boy that's the story yep that's the story we know but for them to go make another movie there has to be a story for him to Obi-Wan to go out and have some Adventure somewhere and if he's having some Adventure like that why doesn't he actually just go and try and fight Vader and save the universe isn't he like the Godfather of

Luke or something or what what does he do oh oh that's right you haven't actually seen the prequels you told me they weren't real movies they don't exist so what happens at the end of episode 3 that doesn't exist is Obi-Wan and anak can Skywalker fight yep OB Wan chops his legs and arms off and throws him into a pit of lava why is obiwan chopping his own legs off no it chops Anakin's legs off I was about to say that seems pretty careless so drops his legs off and then he um what does he do next yeah he just walks away he goes I loved you and walks away hang on first rule of zombie movies double tap double

tap head shot now he s of just walks off and leaves him for dead wait is everyone meant to be like good at this stuff no good at Jedi he only reeved the rank of Jedi Knight he didn't want to go to jetto master or anything okay I don't understand the system because in the movies I watched Luke Skywalker just went off for a while came back and had given himself a new title yeah back then there used to be a council and everything but back there in history in days of your but yeah so he just walks off leaving for dead and then takes um Padme or amadala it's Padme Natalie Portman Natalie Portman takes her off because she gives birth to the twins sorry Obi-Wan's kidnapped a pregnant lady

after chopping up her baby daddy and leaving him in a volcano he's rescued her takes her to a medical ship and B Lana who's the ambassador or president or king of um um oh God I should Alon how did I not know that um how did I know that oh God so yep and so she gives birth to the twins she names them and then dies for no particular reason H can I ask a question that's always bothered me mhm how come she was able to be like LS I want this one to become the princess and this guy I don't know desert or something she doesn't have any say in that she honestly just names them and then dies for no reason on a medical

ship yes so they can give Anakin sky has been burned in lava had his arms they can make him survive she this is the actual thing she gave up the will to live she just gave birth to twins and she went can't be bothered anymore to be fair considering how one of them turned out just saying and then B Orana goes we'll take the girl we've always wanted a daughter of her own so Leia goes off to become his daughter and that's where she grows up to be the senator and everything and Obi-Wan goes with Luke ah he should be with his family and sends him off to live with his step brother his uncle and then just watches him from afar it doesn't get less creepy no no no it

doesn't it really does wasn't where was I going with all this where you are going with this is that Obi-Wan needs an adventure that explains how he could keep watching Luke under the care of the lady with the milk um but also still be around in the desert yeah so there there's yeah makes no sense they can't do it I but if they do do it I hope they do it with well what if they did a thing where it's like oh here's how obiwan found the blue milk lady uh they know each other they've met oh yeah like that's there they actually also have in the movie where he hands the baby over and then they sort of look off into the sunset doesn't that planet have like two suns yes it's a binary star system how

do I know this why do I know this you're learning uh I've probably forgotten something actually useful to learn this but yeah so that's why I think with OB they should stay away from that story what I'd like to see and what I think could do well much along the same lines as Rogue one let's show us some bans dying now do you know what that's a reference to many bans died for these plans close I sent boson out to get me coffee all dead very close so is it a type of bird no it's a sort of a cat-like alien species why are no you know what you know what enough star enough with the Star Wars let's not pretend I am not Matt I cannot amuse you let me get my idea out so Disney and Hollywood can

hear me Luke wants a Bon's movie no that's not just that I want movies like that that's sort of touch but go into you can actually sort of expand upon the universe a little bit more with stories that people aren't already passionate about out Hollywood if you're listening Luke has a shoe box under the bed with many scribbled napkins covered with plot ideas and small but tasteful sketches of himself in scenes that could appear in these films they will steal them eventually but I'm telling you we will have a movie in the next 5 years about BFF's dying we will have a movie who is this we who is this magical Star Wars we this is just everyone on Earth as the collective we the ones who all know about the Star Wars extended Universe which is now Legend and who all impatiently wait next

to their little multiple nerdgasm subscribe subscription boxes each week will Luke give away the next Star Wars plot will it be this week if you haven't already subscribed to us by the way you probably should Luke does give away plots years in advance mhm spooky and then I also give spoilers away for movies as well that have just come out sometimes Luke hasn't even seen the film but he's excellent guesser I'm really good at it it's really I don't know why it's my it's my talent not a very good talent it's my super power I'm kind of tempted to throw movie titles at you and just see what you think the spoiler is but that's a bit crazy we've got a game for that we ask mat gives us hints I always ask do a woman have her breast cut

off why that's my first my go-to question has that happened in many films he found one and special for me so I got it right we haven't played that game in a long time oh God see this just reminds me of a guy that I used to work with who based on the movie poster and her name would just make up what he thought the film synopsis would be in his head so he come to work and say things like I'm going to go see that movie tonight you know the one about a group of tea ladies who work at Nasa and then become astronauts and we're all like H hidden figures yeah yeah that's the one that's the one what yeah and there was another one I think it was what was the last X-Men movie the one with the time travel I don't know I tuned out of

the X-Men movies a while ago oh I think it was like X-Men apocalypse or something similar to that apologies if there are X-Men afficianados who are about to send me an angry email at podcast multip nerdgasm tocom um but Richard yeah the guy's name was Richard just heard that title of X-Men apocalypse and was telling everyone he was really Keen to see this movie about transgender youth entering public bathrooms in the USA and causing National Panic that's okay yeah we all really wanted to go to Richard Cinema to be honest like I I always just wondered did the movies he saw actually stack up to this and another movie I want to talk about that is kind of like that like do

my dreams stack up to the reality is going to be the Jurassic world sequel yeah oh I'll be honest I watched all the Jurassic Park films as a I think I would have been like around 10 years old at a sleepover party and we watched saw them at the movies well we weren't all allowed to and Maddie's mom had to call our parents and let them know that we were all going to watch an inappropriate movie because it's PG or M or something I don't know I think it's I think Jurassic Park was PG I can't say anything that's M you know well it was Parental Guidance or something like that and you know Manny's mom for some reason didn't want to hang out with a group of girls at a sleepover so there'd be no parental guidance and she wanted to make sure her parents were cool with her so we watched all three

movies and then I never watched them again but then I saw Jurassic world and I was very excited because I was like they did it they made the park that oh that movie was stupid people are not going to get bored with dinosaurs that they need to create a new magical oneand I have seen children crying at Disneyland I'm just going to say there's always going to be some kid who's ruined it you could ride a Triceratops never get bored with that yeah but you couldn't take it home with you so I haven't actually seen this trailer yet let's give this one a watch I watched the first trailer for Jurassic world 2 and just from it seems a something about that the world the island that they're on is now going to

be hit by a volcano so they have to rescue the dinosaurs which just seems a bit [Music] ridiculous well not many creatures have naturally evolved to survive a volcanic eruption so someone should probably help although I have a very real question mhm I'm watching this trailer yep why are there children um there were children in the other ones no no no but that made sense like it's a tourist Island you're going to bring your kids to ride a Triceratops no no no no I'm talking about in The Originals as well uh yes but they were all all with made the park safe or this is going to be tourist attraction kids you'll be behind the scenes this I'm seeing children on the Volcano Island

why no I don't I have I don't think you saw them on the volcano you saw like what was either a bad dream or there was there was a small child but I don't think that was oh no no there they are no it looks like they make they they take the dinosaurs home and try and raise them in their backyard from what I can see from the trailer now or has Chris Pratt and the lady whose name I've forgotten gone to live on the island to be dinosaur custodians or something no I think that they're trying to rescue from what I saw from the first trailer but I'm not looking forward to this I the first one was the first Jurassic world was okay but I've only seen it once I've not got no urge to see it again whereas the original Jurassic Park movies I watched a few times over the years that's a good

point however look I'll admit I had my face shaken in remakes or you know sequels to Originals that I thought really shouldn't be touched but after seeing jamanji the other week which I just thought was clever it was good that was a good movie it was fun good and I it had The Rock in it so it was always going to be good the people's Rock um but after seeing that where they took something that should be fairly holy I mean like every kid who watched jamanji loved jamanji as a kid or had nightmares about the scene with all the snakes and the spiders and stuff um but the J snakes in that movie there's always snakes I never saw it always snakes but the fact that they were able to make a second jamanji movie that paid

aage to the first but also worked this is actually the third one there was already a sequel to jamanji well I didn't see that I did watch a lot of the cartoon series sther or something I don't count that because it's in space but it's still a sequel to J M I don't know I'm just I'm just full of optimism let me dream that Jurassic World Forbidden Island I I don't even know the name good job trailer I don't know your name Jurassic world 2 Jurassic world 2 you bet Jurassic can get more extreme I think it's just going to be more running yeah probably and let's watch one last trailer that I also haven't seen which is the infinity War trailer I okay so do you want me to give background on this because I think I outm Marvel you I say this with love what do you

mean I understand Marvel uh-huh so this is the this is the one where they all come together and they're actually going to be instead of Thanos sort of being in the background and sort of being there they're actually going to fight him this time yes which canonically Speaking is quite interesting did you ever read the comics no I can't read Comics I've tried I just I can't do it okay cuz fans of the original Comics will know that canonically there have only actually been a couple of characters who have ever beaten Thanos and Luke you will approve of this the mightiest one the one who pretty much single-handedly defeated Thanos mhm do you want to guess

which character no Squirrel Girl Squirrel Girl squirrel girl she's not in this current generation M that's why I'm concerned no Squirrel Girl what are the odds although as we can see from this trailer we're watching at the moment Doctor Strange has brought along a friend what has Doctor Strange ever done to you nothing and that's the problem you haven't even seen the movie I watched whole seconds and then I said why I'm sorry everyone but Thor Ragnarok was just so good I just don't know anymore I'm actually going to buy that when it comes out cuz I want to see it again and I don't want to wait for it to come out until streaming service H I was just going to write to take away Titi and ask if we can be friends okay it's worth a try

yeah so this is infinity war is meant to be part one is it this this meant to be broken up into um I believe it's I believe it's going to be a two-parter but I'm not sure like they're going to have this big one where everyone's going to be and black panther is definitely going to be leading up to it cuz I think Infinity war is the next movie to come out after Black Panther and then there going to be a few Standalone movies and then back to the big one again I'm actually looking forward to the Guardians of the Galaxy being in it cuz as I've said before that is g Galaxy Volume 2 is my favorite Marvel movie which is interesting what was it about the second film that you like so much I

don't know I just think they went a little bit more over the top but I just love the part where like starl Lord's going to be I can make anything I'm going to make some weird and then he's just a giant Pac-Man stuff like that I just liked I think the first Guardians movie we described it to someone as if an 8-year-old boy was making a movie this is the movie he would make and so the 8-year-old boy got a little bit older and the DRS were a little bit better I just think the second one was better I still love the first one I'm not saying anything wrong with the first one yeah I'm just going to say that if we're calling favorite Marvel movie of all time of the ones that we've had so far Thor Ragnarok it's got my heart it's got my vote yep that's why I'm going to buy

it so we can watch it when it comes out should be it should be out soon I think I don't know why we need to rewatch films cuz it's great and why TT t he um put lots of um Easter eggs in it so I think it'd be nice to try and have a bit closer look at them oh that's actually a good point yeah also take TD if you're listening one can we be friends and two happy white uh whitea day that's the New Zealand national day yep when was that today okay so now you've dated it have I is it common knowledge when that day is around the world people have Google do they use it though I mean who

actually Googles the stuff we talk about like I'm pretty sure people don't rely actually you know what I'm pretty sure people do rely on you guys to give them the news first oh no we told people do not rely us on for that we don't fact check anything but you were telling me today that someone bought some sort of skin online for 61 Grand am I meant to just like things that that didn't happen this I looked into so do you know much about Counter Strike um I think it's a firsters shooter game it's like pretty much what used to be one of the big games it's now sort of dropped off as other people play other games but this used to be probably one of the biggest tournaments that people would watch like this in Starcraft or or

Counter-Strike and Starcraft were the big ones well they have skins for guns and there's always been a big market for them um and someone just spent 61,000 like 34 it's sort of weird how they came to that figure to buy uh a skin for a sniper rifle and I'm just okay why this might shock you mhm I don't know much about skins mhm how if I if I've paid the 61 Grand yep first of all one of am I doing with my life yep second how do I know no one can just copy that oh no no cuz other people can get that skin then why it's not a oneof a kind it's just very rare and hard to come by so the way skins work in csgo or the way they used to work when I was having a look is you play matches and every now and again you'd be rewarded

with not sure if you get loot crates or if you just get rewarded with random skins throughout the time Christmas crackers and with this skin this one is just uh you get it from watching a streaming match and so it's rare to get that you just be watching it and somehow you magically get it but there gambling for skins like this has been crazy and I've never understood skins myself because they just changed the color of the gun so I've never didn't you pay to customize a horse or something in a game uh that was my horse and he wanted AR that was the start of DLC and I paid for it so in a way you did this yeah this is all my fault yeah okay but with this gun it's sort of I don't even think it's that

nice but because it's rare people want now people may be sitting there with this they might have exactly the same um skin they might be sitting yes I've got $61,000 you don't this was worth $61,000 to one person who has too much money I believe that's how e basic economics works it's worth what someone will pay for it yes except for some things that are mysteriously weirdly expensive but yeah so yeah 61,000 I do not understand this um I've never yeah cuz yes I did buy horse armor years ago years and years and years ago but since then I've never still have the horse um no I probably lost that save game I could get it

though if I to load up Oblivion I just I just think of it you know when you see a photo years later of a childhood pet or something like that if you just saw that horse again with its fancy pants or whatever armor you gave it actually um with that horse what happened was I got the horse armor yep I put on the horse y my horse died yep and I never played the game again you actually cuz the horse died and then I lost and then I didn't know how to get him back with the horse armor and then I just stopped playing cuz I actually already finished the game so you were so distraught over the loss of your horse no no no I just yeah you could look at it like that but I just moved on I'd already finished the game

and then you moved on to my horse of me too don't knock that game love that game they were going to make a third one but never got off the ground but there's still time no someone might still have the right for it what what possible Adventures could you have in horse and Me 3 that wasn't covered by horse and me one and two a new horse what do you mean a new horse you can get a new horse actually if you want to play a game with a horse mhm aside from some of the great horse mechanics in which are three which I think we've all loved on the PC there is actually a dating Sim game called My Horse prints do I get achievements I don't think it's Xbox but in this you have to date or sing games are a bit

weird and the it's got a horse head yeah he's a horse I've played it you can get it on your phone I I have a lot of questions about why you've played this um we discussed on the podcast a long time ago and I played it for a bit Luke are you telling me you've played this game to see if he was hung like a horse no why would I do that well if you if you can't find that out no you can't he does go surfing though it's really weird this game you basically go to a farm and then find out you're in love attracted to this horse and you see the horse is having a uh boy's head but it's actually a horse and yeah it's a very weird and confusing game okay I'm actually bitterly disappointed now for a couple of reasons

M again you play the game I have questions second you missed my amazing segue about being hung like a horse oh is that what you going for you want to talk about some dick news not really but this story just it confused me it confused me so we've had some people writing and this is coming from Nicole who's always in the lookout for dick news for us um now with discussed this guy in the past he has let me just turn this sound off cuz that's annoying me so this guy has this guy has the biggest penis in the world at 18.9 in I for the record and the sake of

clarity because if you trust multiple nasm for any news it will be dick news to clarify this is the longest human penis yes in the world well and was this all achieved naturally or there some sort of extension surgery no no surgery um this guy Roberto something something Roberto esil Cabrera that's the guy since uh as a teenager he was always wanting to have a large penis and actually started putting weights on it as a teenager and stretched it so it's not actually the penis so much as beat is he has like a super long for skin cuz he sort of stretched that to become bigger and that's why the guy with the second largest P penis in the world who his natural is going yeah that shouldn't

count because it's not penis it's large skin well he's come out now and said that his penis is a disability and he has to live off food banks now he's had offers and even from a porn shio to so to get a um penis reduction mhm and he doesn't want it cuz he likes being famous for having the biggest penis in the world he's so okay let me get this straight yep he has chosen to make certain body modifications to himself yes now I'm I'm I'm I'm trying really hard not to be judgmental here MH because I respect that make various B modifications for various reasons I got one the other week I am fairly certain

you were also not born with three Star Wars tattoos you don't know that I they're birth marks I do actually your mother keeps sending me your baby photos like so I get that people make modifications to their bodies to sort of match in their like so the physical appearance and everything matches who they think of themselves as in their heads mhm but I'm just a little bit confused that you would make a modification that leaves you unable to live your day today life and then when a solution is presented you would not be interested in taking that y but then again I've also

never had a penis of my own so Freud would probably say that's my penis envy speaking out no no yeah this guy is just very strange so he's I think he lives in America now or he's trying to find an American woman cuz he's actually from Sal Salo Mexico yeah so he's actually but he thinks an American woman's going to be the one that will be able to have he'll be able to find an American woman to have sex with so he and he also wants to start his porn career if he can find a woman to have sex with him who can take it cuz he did try once and it was it didn't work with the woman I forget what did he say let me have a look um so I'm looking at this and it's saying that an active sex life is also

of limits for Roberto as his penis has too much girth to have intercourse I have not a real doctor or anything but women can pass a baby the size of a watermelon through so what I actually honestly think it's not the fact it's oh it's probably also to do with the fact he's probably can't actually get hard that's true that's what I think it would also be so while living in the USA he did attempt to have sex twice but the first woman backed out she saw it and the other woman had to stop cuz it was too painful all right so it would be but yes but he's that's not going to stop him he's going to find a woman that will do it and start his porn career and does it

this okay well back in the day Australian miners went on strike for better conditions and everything and they use this flag as their symbol and in today's paper there's a story about how they actually want to ban the Eureka Stockade flag from work sites because they see it as being a pro-union and therefore political statement yeah people read too much into stuff into the literal symbol of unions and strikes yeah half the people who have the flag up probably don't know what it's for you didn't know what it was for proving my point exactly how I'm really worried now that if I go to your work go to your desk you're going to have all sorts of offensive things up there and just go I didn't know what it was for I didn't know that this flag with a weird

away now now in this she because I've read the story as well she managed to survive two big winter snow storms survive all the foxes and birds that would try and eat her and managed to cross a road to a school and the bit I love the most is she traveled in a direct line from her backyard it's not like she took a turn or anything she just went in a straight line what how do you know maybe she'd actually gone on a winding track and was on her way back no she'll still pointed away from the house still plotting she was found by a school teacher she'd broken into a school Tula I love you and if you ever want to come on the podcast you can take my chair and you and Luke can talk about being slow and steady unless suddenly you're at a
