Hollywood Cripple: Black Panther & Mark Hamill Walk of Fame Star

I heard some very disturbing news this week something I cannot actually even believe it sounds very serious yeah welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy did you know Mark Hamill didn't have a star oh on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yeah this baffles me really on the Hollywood Walk of Fame the most important figures ever to be there and the ones I can remember first were R2-D2 c3pio and Darth Vader putting their like hands in concrete yeah I've just always assumed that everyone from Star Wars was there somewhere if the metal people got one

surely the human people have already got one exactly this may shock You Luke Mark Hamill's actually technically not that famous and also often is not considered to be a very good actor I'll build on that Matt by pointing out that he's not really even in much I mean he's really only in one movie well um in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back he does a cameo in that and they actually had to throw up in writing hey kids it's Mark Hill cuz people didn't recognize him at test screenings right so it I mean it doesn't surprise me that he doesn't have also anyone can have one you've just got to pay for it yeah yeah that's the Dirty Little Secret of it yeah so obviously somebody uh somebody in the Star Wars Camp decided way back in the day that uh they'll buy three of them one for R2D2

C3 Po and one for Darth they would have spent a lot of money on those ones because they're like pretty sure Harrison Ford probably got one at one stage I saw well that's the thing he used to make jokes that he already had one when he was making Star Wars because there's an actor from the 30s called Harrison thought Ford that's what I was going to say there's someone someone called Harrison Ford's got one I don't know if it's him though so I don't know if he has his own like I don't know if does he have a real one or not there's only a couple thousand of them like not everybody gets thousand no no no but that's there's so many actors like cuz we go through celebrities a lot um Harrison Ford does have one and he didn't get it till 2003

it but yeah if you're one of these Stars apparently you got to pay for it but then not only that you've got to make a good case because they only give out a certain number of them every year or something so you've got to kind of got petition it basically yeah almost like running for office you've got to make a good case for yourself well it's it's like when you want an Academy Award nomination they don't just nominate people out of the blue you've got to apply and you've got to do an awards campaign right spend a lot of money and convince them that you deserve one I think they should also be every year they decide whether or not they keep some and they should just start getting rid of them as well that's your you think that about everything y they're

just chiseling off Charlie Chaplain cuz they're like [ __ ] it's been years since he put out a movie yeah we did a we did a in-house as in in my house screening of the room on Frid in house fing mat now calling movies e watches at home and in-house screening we had a bunch of people around and we watched the room most of them had never seen it before so there was a little bit of explanation required listeners if you don't know what the room is uh look into it and if you're in Sydney go see it at the Orum bit of room trivia in in order to be considered for an Academy Award a film's got to be in theaters for like it 4 weeks or something like that or 6 weeks um okay so something like that there's a period of time that it must be in theaters and so uh Tommy waso the you

know the creator of the room paid a theater to just keep showing it for the the required amount of time so that he could submit it and obviously he did not receive an Academy Award wow he he's not right the funny thing is though playing for about a decade now right yeah yeah it may well be the longest running like it sells out it when we went to uh a screening in London and Tommy and Greg were there and it sold out and we had to line up down the street to get in but that would be more so because of the signing one and the appear movie sing apparently this happens all the time I mean you've you've been uh down to the AUM screenings with us right it sells out

absolutely like they weren't there full house it's just it's just fun like yeah and it wasn't like it was a oneoff screening they do it every Friday night yeah it makes a lot of money the room yeah it's [ __ ] hilarious but he already had money didn't he he did yeah that's how he did this yes he could just pay people to do whatever he wanted yes how do I get money like that there's some speculation in Greg's book about how he got the money but no one really knows how he got it he does own a lot of real estate at Fisherman's Warf in San Francisco that's how presumably how he keeps getting money other than but how he got that property well don't know cuz he W he doesn't tell anyone anything if you ask him where he's from he says America even though he sounds like he's clearly from

Eastern Europe but he says he's from uh Louisiana he's not so just to jump back in the reason that we're talking about Mark Hamill at all and the reason we're talking about him not having a star on the Walk of Fame is because he now has one oh yeah he getting one is he got it or he's getting one I don't think we actually did he's getting it on March 8th so right so I'll be there for that will you I wish oh you should should go and show your support yeah what it's a bit late notice it's a bit far to go and then pop over here to the other side of the country yeah like it's what I'd have to organize it all and be there within a week oh no just over a week and a half

this podcast I think that was that's top tier [ __ ] if there's a line and we don't know what side we're on that's going to be the Benchmark um so I joined up for a new social media thingy right I'm trying to really cut down social media thingies I'm on I'll be honest yeah well this is the one that everyone on Instagram that I follow was going I've started this account go follow me here yeah that's how I saw it too I was and then enough people were doing it that I was like is this one of those things where if I don't get on it I'm not going to get the brain fed name which is a requirement for me all right tell me what this [ __ ] thing is then and I'll check it out what is it

social stuff happens here like my social media stuff I I have a maybe this is an opportunity to come clean though like if if this is going to say replace Facebook then maybe I'll start one of these and I'll only add you you guys and my friends you know and that's it and not have a bunch of people I used to work with that's pretty much our WhatsApp and Snapchat yeah so I'm not really sure why I would need this yeah but didn't you hear Snapchat we already do that Snapchat's dead didn't you hear yes someone told me it's dead but not according to Snapchat no they what's it one of the one of the Kardashians uh said that Snapchat was dead and it uh caused a massive stink because the the people freaked out and started sing selling their their stock yeah their

shares and then the like the share price plummeted and it actually had a massive effect on the business and they were like well this shouldn't be a thing that's possible just because some dumb celebrity said something this is why I hate the stock market that's why that's what you took away from kardian you hate the St stock market yeah y That's why I hate Bitcoin I'll stop you there Luke we have a whole jingle dedicated to you and the stock [Music] market so at some point when did we ever have that I don't remember I just remember that it exists never been for the stock market I don't think oh who

and more people are just saying like I've created one like five people on the same day were like oh I signed up for this thing and I was like I guess I better see what it is no I'm interested just because I I really don't like Facebook or Twitter I like Instagram you think this might be different but Instagram is Facebook it's the same company yeah what I'm what I'm worried about is a lot of people I follow on Instagram are making these accounts and I am if they do move over to that I still want to be able to see what they're posting yeah and I think a big part of it the reason why people going cuz people hate that algorithm on Instagram that yes shows all the photos out of order if we're moving over to this thing

also has a script that I'm cautiously scared about look I've uh I've seen the script and I think uh I was You' seen I was optimistic uh just by noticing that it wasn't written in lead pencil on a yellow notepad so with a bunch of books on how to write a script in the background that's a reference to the prequel trilogy behind the scenes yeah um so yeah look I'm glad JJ back find very strange that they've only just written the script to me it's be something that would have been worked out for a while now I'm sure they had the story figured out yeah except that after the [ __ ] backlash from The Last Jedi I'm not

surprised that they went back to the drawing board so oh guys I'm really struggling with something at the moment and I I Matt I know you are too Luke I'm not even sure where you come down on this because you've you've gone Rogue but I I don't think I like Star Wars anymore yeah and I I decided we we talked a little bit on this podcast a few weeks ago about how people are doing the ultimate Star Wars marathon which is you watch the prequels in order um pausing between 2 and 3 to watch the entire of the Clone Wars TV series Fu hell and uh then you continue on you watch the the in between films I decided I was going to do that because I was envious of these people that grew up during the prequel period and therefore

didn't have any kind of [ __ ] hatred for them and just accepted them as Star Wars movies and had all this peripheral material like the like the series and so I decided [ __ ] it I'm going to do it right mhm so last weekend I had some time on my hands and I downloaded everything and I started watching how far did you make it I got 10 minutes into the phantom menace Luke this movie is unwatchable and and I think in my head I keep I keep misremembering enough to think look it's it's not very good but it's okay it's not [ __ ] okay it's [ __ ] termal that's a very bad also level terribly it really has and so I didn't get through that and then I didn't want to watch the second one because [ __ ] it it's in my

opinion it's even worse because it tries harder to be good and it's just as [ __ ] so I've got no and so I I I okay fine I'll go for the Clone Wars TV series I watched the first episode I mean guys I it's it's a kids cartoon series do you know what I mean like like I don't know what I was expecting but I I think I was expecting something with way more depth in it than it has right yeah and uh actually even have to watch every single episode you can drop in and out the fact that you can do that means like why am I watching this yeah also cartoons have changed since we were kids they're [ __ ] kinetic now like there's just so much [ __ ] happening on screen at the same time so dense [ __ ] man I couldn't do it and uh so then I thought okay well I'll just I'll skip straight into uh

episode three then M and uh then I realized I had literally no interest in watching that movie and then I thought about it and I thought about how many Star Wars movies there are and the fact that I only like four of them MH like four out of like 12 is not a good average no it's not so well that's I like more than that I like Wars prequels I agree with you your prequels are a should not exist the original trilogy yes Rogue Squadron yes um the two Ewok movies yes [ __ ] off I love those movies no you don't [ __ ] you you don't no you don't they're garbage no I love them if you love the

first one I will I will give it to you that okay maybe first one is a good one the second one the you no way you love the not as good mate it's [ __ ] un [Laughter] they kill everyone off it's I don't even remember the first one is a good movie Caravan of Courage that that I do rate I do remember that that's one with the big monster the big big guy yeah I remember that from when I was a kid I don't try to make out that Endor isn't just the forest Moon well it is but yeah but they go through a desert well multiple that is not on that's why it got that's why it got removed yeah everyone was like I don't understand how can a planet possibly have more than one terrain and then of course the force awakens I did like the

last shedi I'm still I still haven't I still haven't watched it again I'm not going to watch it again I'm not going to do it I have no interest I want to watch an a an edited version where there's no Casino where there's no women well you're a luck Le cuz [ __ ] W made it such a [ __ ] weird thing to do know no casino and priser dies don't just want the women edited out you want them killed I want a version where they all get [ __ ] raped and burned Jesus but have you heard the next TR C I think is you to come out and start next year

look episode 9 it's got some something I'm optimistic about it's going to look pretty I think because JJ Abrams knows how to make it look like Star Wars and it's got the art director from uh Blade Runner 2049 which was [ __ ] beautiful so I I'm optimistic about that aspect of it I'm not optimistic about the fact that JJ Abram says they've got a script which is good he was working on it with Chris Tero who's Chris Tero well he wrote uh Argo which uh was pretty that's a good movie uh he also wrote Batman versus Superman dawn of Justice and Justice League right okay that's oh no they thought that was [ __ ] hell guys come

on co-wrote I will I guess yeah with JJ Abrams no I mean co-wrote Batman versus Superman with David goyer and co-wrote Justice League with both Zack Snyder and Jos Weeden but still I'm sort of hoping that he's just the guy that was there and they did the rest of the writing and he just got a paycheck no I think it' probably be the other way around I think he's the guy who actually wrote the scripts and because the directors had a couple of ideas that ended up in the final movie they got a co-writing credit yes so so yeah that would actually make more sense but I can hope I maybe it'll be fine maybe you know there's a many reasons why those films may have turned out a bit [ __ ] so I don't know you know what wasn't

[ __ ] black panther wasn't [ __ ] oh you saw it yeah has it been two weeks and by the time it comes out Yes actually no I think it's been two weeks now all right so maybe or spoiler warning black panther spoilers coming here's the thing I went into this with a little bit of skepticism the the marketing for this was awful the trailer was awful yeah agree with it made me it made me think that this was a movie I just didn't want to see yep then it came out and everyone started saying it was really good now that worried me a little bit because the same thing happened with uh Wonder Woman which is that uh if you liked it fair enough come and say you

liked it but anyone who didn't like it was too afraid to come out and say they didn't like it and I thought the same thing was going to happen here and that may be the case but I was prepared to hate it and I didn't cuz it was pretty damn good yeah it's Marvel can somehow do these movies well yeah why made a good point when we were waiting for it she said that Marvel have gotten to a point now that when you're seeing a Marvel movie the worst it can be is pretty good and she's right like when you go to see any movie you're like this might be great it might be utter [ __ ] a Marvel movie you know it's at least going to be pretty good yeah it'll be you'll be entertained for a couple of hours yeah yeah like I'm trying to think for me the worst one the

worst Marvel movie is the little guy what's his name Ant-Man Ant-Man the little guy I wish it was called that but that's not like it wasn't [ __ ] offensively bad it just it was only it was only pretty good yeah yeah you're right I thought black panther was going to be the same see cuz the the the earth-based uh Marvel movies are all a bit seamy at this point I'm finding like I was thinking that as well I was starting to think cuz the last one I think the last one that came out that wasn't Earth one was what Civil War or something Civil War yeah Captain America and it was good War but it was it was good but that was that wasn't even a

Captain America movie that was an Avengers movie so I'm glad that that black panther wasn't the same [ __ ] it was very different it was quite different actually uh in scale and everything it was kind of its own little thing over at the side this is probably the first Earth completely Earth Standalone movie that's been out in a while yes and then now they're escalating it all with infinity War which is good because it means you know it's it they're keeping it it's escalating and it seems like oh wow now they're all it's [ __ ] Guardians are going to be in there and it's all like space and spaceships and stuff but it's like well they have to do that otherwise it just be the same [ __ ] movie over and over again like

really like how many Spider-Man movies have we seen they made one and they're like all right you got it Spider-Man all right now we're going to just do some new [ __ ] so I like that how long do you reckon it'll be before we see the Millennium Falcon flying in next to the Avengers oh at least 12 months yeah I asked qu and she was like it's not going to happen I said [ __ ] she's like well it's not going to happen in the next two years we will see so this movie Black Panther uh it goes into some stuff that I didn't expect it would which I liked I really liked that killmonger the bad guy with the awful name

killmonger uh which they avoided saying as much as possible yeah there was a couple of names in this they avoided saying I don't know if you guys know the other one Matt do you know the other one I'm talking about what's the other one can't remember the uh the there was there's one particular character whose uh trophy animal is is a gorilla umbaku yeah so they use his his given name not his superhero name his given oh man yeah yeah right did they I didn't even know they said that did they say that at some point no they didn't but it's clearly manape oh yeah it's yeah it's definitely they've just made him into an actual person instead of an a gorilla yeah yeah um I like that kilmonger

was not really a bad guy I loved that he I loved that I was in fact there was a long time in the film where I was like hang on a minute you're the bad guys he won and square yeah and and wait no you don't get to go back and cheat this is a hostile coup now plus he's morally right yes and but they they did go out of their way and I know I I felt like it kind of cheapened the whole thing a little bit but they did go out of their way to point out guys no no no no look he is a [ __ ] psycho so like because I feel like it maybe it was a little too ambiguous and they were like well let's make him also

kill a bunch of people unnecessarily and then uh you know he's going to going to just send weapons out to to you know help the marginalized people rise up against their oppressors uh and trying to help marginalized people rise up against their oppressors is the bad guy yeah I was see him the whole time that's what I mean it's so but but he the way we got to make sure he does it in a way that people won't like like he was they were struggling a bit to make him into a bad guy if they were going to try to make people not like him why did they get the utterly [ __ ] Charming guy from Creed who's the new Rocky you know people were saying online oh it's you know they messed up because he wasn't really a bad guy and and blah kind stuff I'm like no I'm pretty sure that was the

point yeah that's why I liked it yeah like Oh Black Panther you know at the end I can't believe he killed him because sorry spoiler well he because really like he shouldn't have but then it's like no that's the point I don't I don't feel that he killed him I feel he I mean he literally did but he defeated him and then he died he could have lived yeah well I suppose mhh but uh but no I did like the ending how it's cuz it's a joke you sort of make like wakanda they've got all this technology they've got all this money and everything but they Yep they're letting the AIDS get around and everything and they address it yeah I know I love this where they're talking

about uh they're talking about refugees and he goes oh you don't want to let refugees in they'll just bring all their problems with them and they'll ruin our way of life I like [ __ ] all right yeah I hear that I hear that a lot here in the US yeah and then the ending you are no we're going to do something but what we don't know well open an Outreach Center in Oakland in California oh all right all right then yeah that that was that and you guys who were warriors are now just going to be teachers and administrators of this school like [ __ ] what oh what about all the people in Africa who need our help well let's just start in Oakland yeah uh cuz that's where the where people need us the most no I get why I do understand why

they went there because that's where it all started and kill well in the comics you you don't think about it don't think about it that much it's yeah they're not making a big statement it's just that's yeah you know what I don't understand though uh and this is not about the film itself this is about film goers right so I saw this at the cinema and uh as soon as the movie ended half the people got up and left and it's like are you fuing this is your first Marvel movie you've been to then right okay half of you are still here fair enough then when the first inter credit sequence comes up and finishes then the other half leave and it's like what do you know nothing about Marvel yeah I have this theory about you know

the end credit sequence when they're at the the UN or whatever like and then agent Ross AKA Martin Freeman is there with like a shitty in gr on his face yeah I have this theory that you know how like he's played out like he's a he's a good guy mhm CU he helps him out and everything right but it in he's at the casino for the arms deal right and he's kind of at odds with them and he's like no no no we we CIA is doing our thing and then uh and then he gets shot right when after they capture the Arms Dealer and he wakes up in wakanda he knows all about Kil Monga and what his tactics are he's like oh yeah he's doing that thing we do where he destabilizes countries and [ __ ] them up yeah I know all about it no one really says anything and then and

then he helps them he helps the wakandans stop Kil Monga from arming all the black people so that they can overthrow all the white people and then at the end at the UN when tala is figuring out that they should help and he reveals that his plan is to open an Outreach Center in California Ross is there smiling and um I think he was thinking [ __ ] that was close yeah [ __ ] if that's what he's going to do then I have done my [ __ ] J thank God that a close call so maybe he's not such a good guy that's all I'm saying I just found it hard listening to his accent oh yeah it is odd seeing uh oh Martin Freeman with an American accent yeah that was just weird better than Benedict cumber

batches I am Doctor Strange I am an American did I tell you guys about the cumber [ __ ] that I met what the what story is that a female cumber batch fan yes and I only I was on a I was on a shoot and uh we're shooting with this family and um one of one of the family is this 13-year-old girl and she was sitting next to me when um I had my coffee brought to me and she goes youe duh and I said yeah and she goes um do you take it black with Two Sugars and I was like no she's like oh that's how that's how Sherlock Holmes takes his coffee and I said oh okay do you know that do you you know how Sherlock Holmes takes his coffee and she goes oh I'm a cumber [ __ ] and I was like oh that's hilarious

and adorable that is very cool black no sugar come on guys Sugar's unnecessary no black with two sugars is how he has it that's saying I'm saying that's what I'm saying you need to have it no sugar what you want the sugar for you you you need no coffee and just sugar just water with sugar oh hold the water hold the water black panther was was good that's not you know not my favorite movie ever but I really enjoyed it I was surprised too surprised me I like the look of it it looked different I like the costumes and the settings in wakanda made me wish I could pull that off I cannot no you can't Matt definitely pull off exactly some the visual effects in this were a little bit not good yeah like the rhinos and stuff at the end the Rhinos were terrible rhinos didn't bother me as

much as some other stuff but yeah I me they weren't great even little things just some of the like backgrounds it was just so obvious what was green screen yes you know uh which I think some of the other movies don't look quite so fake yeah yeah well this guy I think the guy directed this he's done he does very personal films I think uh he he did some smaller scale stuff and I think he was a good choice cuz he handled the themes of it really well but I guess maybe this is this is his first kind of Blockbuster I think so maybe it's something to do with that but he did a good job he did a great job let him off the hook is what you're saying yeah I'm saying it's I'm sure coordinating a big [ __ ] movie like this is tough for someone who

usually does kind of Indie stuff so yeah although I'll say this he directed Creed uh which was great yeah not a big special effects film though no that's true but anyway it's not his job to do the special effects technically so should be I mean I doubt he sat there and did him himself I'm pretty sure it was ilm so come on guys yeah speaking of which I was um I was playing squash uh last Monday night uh with what oh yeah I play Squash on Monday nights when did this happen I've been gone for about eight months now I guess how is this the first I've heard of you being active active sexually active like do any type of sport yeah no this is this is literally the first sport I've ever played uh but I do like squash I'm not

bad at it actually so Luke yeah I uh I go running sometimes feel like maybe I should have mentioned this to you yeah yeah Luke's gon to be offed you didn't tell him but no I'm upset both dick have a weekly squash game with basically other guys who do my job at different places right so uh guys from different agencies and stuff and we're walking back one one of the guys from ilm we walking back to his car uh this Monday and he was like oh 3 weeks till deadline and I'm like oh yeah you working on something big and he just looked at me and like I didn't get it he was like um Infinity war and I'm like oh yeah obiously yeah that'll do it yeah l d friends in the high places huh spoilers for us working on no unfortunately not and I tried I

tried I got spoilers for it go on go on they're going to lose all right they're not going to beat him in this movie they're going to need another movie well it certainly would uh put Infinity War part two at a disadvantage if they kill him in the first one exactly just going to be everyone going back to thew place the second one is a big piss up I hope uh I hope Panther's sister shows up in Infinity War she was a good character yeah she was great she was definitely do you see what I mean like she reminds me of the girl from Book of Mormon she just had that sort of a kind of I guess that sort of I don't know cuz she's black no it was just the sense of humor she had or just how her humor came

across just reminded me of her yeah she's in an episode of black mirror as well yes yeah the black uh what is it the oh God the black Museum you better hope that's what it's called Matt why yep you really want to what it's called No it is it's called yeah I know it is so I started watching something else this week uh and this is something that Mt I know you would recommend so it's taken me a while to get round to it but I finally put on Twin Peaks the return ah and it didn't take long in the first episode to realize that I I just don't have the patience for David [ __ ] and when I was watching another [ __ ] backwards conversation I was like you know what you know what I'm I'm not going to do this did you get did you get up to douge mate I got up to scene

two and turned it off oh wow well you made it further than I would no it's not for me I I I appreciate Twin Peaks for what it is but I wouldn't I wouldn't watch it again now and I not interested in watching the ramblings of an old madman so I'll leave it where it is in the past I'm on board with that with the ramblings of a Madman I like it yeah yeah I know you do I got well I'm sure I discussed it on here I got really angry at it at one point but then not angry enough to stop watching it in fact I was like H [ __ ] you I like this yeah though talk about movies you'll never get to see Jos weeden's not doing Batgirl anymore right so I guess

uh I guess that drug addict child star can stop texting him now who's that what I forget her name uh Disney girl and that girl from the movie where a uh a jockey rides a zebra girl rides zebra you'll know her name when I say it girl rid zebra horse race movie racing stripes that's the name of the movie the actress is oh no no that was uh that was Hayden pentier that's not who I'm thinking of Lindsay Lohan is who I'm thinking of oh right oh she want to play she be texting him wants to apparently she she wants to

be Batgirl and she has uh she has been spamming Jos Weeden demanding that he give her a screen test in Bat God she would be terrible yeah well she's just terrible anyway little be honest I haven't seen her in movies I've only seen her in horrible video vide of her drunk doing really crazy [ __ ] so maybe she's a good actress I have no idea people behaving people can behave awfully and then still be good actors I've come to learn so that's true they can but I'm trying to remember she hasn't been acting for a long time she did Herby is that what I'm think I'm trying to remember what I mistook for uh Racing Stripes I don't know she was in Herby I can't think CU Herby she was in Freaky

Friday all right yeah look I haven't seen any of but apparently Jos Sweden uh you know he used to be kind of a a sort of feminist darling uh a while back uh and they really don't like out he was banging everyone yeah they don't like him much anymore I don't really know the details and I don't care to know but I don't know the details either but can do you have to stop being a feminist if you're banging people yeah maybe I don't think you should have to but I don't know the circumstances that he was begging people yeah I think you don't have to have I think you there very very uh you got to be very careful I think these days if you want to stay in in the in the group as far as [ __ ] yeah you do Cu uh yeah

exists now [ __ ] what DC Universe yeah exactly we've got ja as the Joker in some [ __ ] unrelated thing we've got like I think he would have to try this is why I think he struggled to find the story because that's why he said he he's not doing it he did he doesn't have a story yeah because cuz he does I I enjoy a lot of stuff he does try and take that and move it into the DC Universe in whatever way he he's already done a DC movie though yeah but I think he might have been doing that as a if you want the batg movie we need you to come and finish this I look I know that that's what he said he said that he couldn't find the story but I'm not I don't know if I believe that because it I don't believe it either because it's it's such

a j weden movie and but but he is he has come under a lot of fire for I don't know what the whatever the [ __ ] he's been doing that made them mad at him about not being bagging CH yeah not being feminist enough but he there's also have no idea what he did I don't I don't know I don't care there's been a lot of controversy about uh the treatment of bar Gordon Batgirl in The Killing Joke cartoon that came out because they it got a bit rapy like it already was a bit rapy and apparently they made it worse raped people in that no she got raped I think I'm pretty sure that's what people look by the Yeah Jes and it got it was

already a bit a bit bit on the nose in the comic apparently uh and then I like cuz I haven't seen the animated film but apparently it's even worse and then so a lot of people were like uh that's not on and now he's come under the microscope and he's going to be doing a movie about that character I feel like he was probably like you know what [ __ ] that I'm probably not do this right now yeah yeah look I'm on uh comicvine.com right now and there's been a user poll right so people can weigh in was Barbara Gordon sexually assaulted in The Killing Joke yes no or eh sort of um it's pretty close actually with 37% saying yes 30% saying no and 34% saying

sort so I think that majority of people seem to agree uh that uh yeah there you go well that just I'm not even going to go there for that no so yeah I think it's a bit controversial and I think probably he was just like nah not going there I think he just wanted to distance himself from Batman and DC movies I'm sure it's probably a lot of those things all of that combined if I if I was him I wouldn't do it man DC need to get their [ __ ] together they do indeed cuz I think what Affleck is Affleck I think he's not even signed on for anymore is he he's out yeah oh did he did he actually drop out I know he was talking about it I read about it I feel like he's

contractually obliged to do something else maybe not I think he that photo of the that was his last one he had to do or he might have one more but that photo of him the other week uh for the listeners who don't know there was a photo taken of Ben smoking it smoking a Dar which is a cigarette for non-australians outside the studio when they were like well like [ __ ] eight months deep into [ __ ] Justice League and it was all just [ __ ] hit the fan everywhere uh and he just clearly had let himself go and that's one of the apparently it's a dad bod Batman they're calling Batman in Justice League but it's just so but if you look back everyone's saying that's him now that was him a couple of years ago all that criticism came straight out look at Batman vers Superman right he clearly

put in the effort because he was [ __ ] ripped in that movie and I'm I just and then for Justice League he was just like nah [ __ ] it and because I I read an article that said that Henry caval loves the you know the the the fitness regime that he has to go through for Superman Ben Affleck not so much [ __ ] Henry caval though is like a wet fish like Superman is such a character that teet on the edge of of boring at the best of times and to cast someone like Henry caval I mean he's handsome but [ __ ] me he has no personality you know I think the only person who was really trying in the Justice League was uh the flash he tried

it too hard that kid was he really wanted to be remembered like like can you guys remember a single line that cyborg said in that movie just one line any any line cuz I [ __ ] ter I don't remember him at all if a cop asked me to do a sketch like I couldn't do it you know what I mean like I couldn't describe anything he wore said did the best the best performance in Justice League is from galado because when you think about it it's just like she was just wonder woman right but then and and with a bunch of Bad actors and she was just she was just great like she was fine like you know she's not didn't blow my mind in there but she when I think about all the good things and the bad things about it like I honestly don't even remember what

she did in this movie either cuz she was just fine she was just fine you had Batman trying to call the shots he had flash being like goofy you had no one else doing anything and then you had Superman coming in and doing everything at the end I mean I hated that scene at the start with her at the bank robbery awful scene that was just awful but she wasn't awful no she's in the entire movie is when the Flash and Cyborg are digging up the grave forgot scene should not exist it would take the flash [ __ ] weird three seconds to dig up that entire grave such a weird movie no let's be honest the worst scene in the movie is the very first scene because for some reason the first scene in the movie they decided to

make a closeup of Henry kev's CGI lips yeah so [ __ ] insane and didn't actually the people who did the special effects for most of the movie come out and go we don't know why they they did that because they gave that to another shudio to do that's not unusual though usually they do farm out different different themes or different types of effects to different to different houses but they were going like we we we could have done that and we would have done it a lot better yeah I bet they're saying that now people yeah I love that uh that they offered to CGI his mustache on for uh for the for was it for Ghost Protocol was it the missible they offered they said oh

if he shaves it off we'll CGI back on and they sent them a bunch of test footage where they put a mustash on Henry cell in various films a I want to see that and and and then B I love that they were like n no I can sort of understand them saying no like people have come out and said well they're sort of being bit mean for doing that because it is easier to put a aach on but no it's not their [ __ ] signed a contract we've given him money to do this it's not our fault you screw up that's why they've got contracts exactly y yeah so are they going to stop anytime

new planes to the to the game or to the Sim and apparently they had a lot of problems with people pirating their add-ons and releasing them onto the Pirate Bay and to combat this they decided to along with the installer for this add-on they included a little application that dumps all of your passwords out of uh Google Chrome and then sends it to them yep and they're saying someone discovered this and was like what the [ __ ] cuz that's actually very illegal uh you can't do that H and so they've come out and they've said no no no we were just targeting one person and he knows who he is

oh and that's that's whose passwords we were trying to get and then everyone's like it doesn't matter you can't [ __ ] do that so uh yeah so they're in a lot of [ __ ] cuz yeah there's some guy who's cracking their add-ons and releasing on the Pirate Bay they think they know who he is they said they have they have his name uh and apparently they said CU I I don't know where these guys are based but apparently they don't understand how the law Works they've said this tool has already been used to obtain information that will be used in court against them and then uh I think the police will probably inform them that you obtained Us tool is going to be used for anything wow yeah except for a case brought against you this is the thing I

can sort of understand why people are pirating their mods cuz this whole one came about side I thought Luke was going to come down [Laughter] on the a CU this all came about from they they found it in the purchase when people were buying the a 320x yes now to buy this plane um I think to get the version four is $140 right for one plane so you're saying that is ridiculous so you're saying therefore it's okay to steal it I'm saying I can completely understand why people are stealing this I want to know who's actually paying if you were at the supermarket and they were like this loaf of this is the last loaf of bread it's now $10 and you were like well that's too much money I'm just

going to take it yeah cuz I love it Luke your your example seems to think that there's only two options stealing it or buying it there's a third option that you can that everyone can do yes opt out opt not to do either of them that's that's what you should that's what people should be doing and look well that's I'm doing I'm not saying that I don't pirate things from time to time but that all that what Dan just said is how everybody seems to think the world works like I'm not going to I'm not going to pay to see Infinity War but I do have to watch it so that's right so I'm now required to download it like it's not really how it works no no just with this like cuz this isn't for you to buy the game this is just an

add not the only that's really expensive in the world like every single day I encounter things that I can't afford to buy and therefore just don't buy them yeah you don't get to decide what is worthy and not worthy of selling oh no I am deciding right now all right one plane in Microsoft flight simulator is not worth $140 well not to you so don't buy it but somewhere there's a guy who went worth every [ __ ] penny just because you've decided that doesn't mean you can now steal it I'm saying I'm not stealing it but and don't say and listeners don't write in and say it's not stealing cuz you don't take the original away from the [ __ ] off I know I know downloading stuff isn't the same as stealing it

it's stealing it's it's it's it's theft I'm not saying it's not but I'm saying if these people wanted to make money all they would need to do is lower their price by I don't know to $10 and they would sell 100 probably a th% more than what they have that may be true that may not I mean um these companies no true they maybe it's not though maybe they do because companies often you know adjust the price until they find the sweet spot where they get they're breaking the law to try and find someone who's cracking the game yeah I know that's foolish and also I mean look as much as I I'm joking around about piracy it it doesn't have that much of an effect on sales they've proven this it does for these people's sales well no but that's what I'm saying

is the people that are pirating this probably wouldn't have bought it as you just said like so I think people who would have brought this have got a got I got oh it's $140 no I'll just go here and download it for free instead of going oh it's $10 yeah I'll get that you framing it so like oh I'll just download it over here where it's for free it's not it's that's not how it works that's that easy option yeah well I could pay for it why would I pay for it I'm also able to just get it for free over here but and then you're ignoring the fact that technically that's like morally wrong like it's not a it's not a simple decision anyway I'm just you may be right it's $140 for a

that is not the case in Australia that's where they can get you they can't get you for downloading stuff from The Pirate Bay they can get you for uploading stuff to The Pirate Bay or seeding on yeah but does that automatic but look here's the thing how can be the law like surely surely the creator of this or the the owner of this content can say whether or not it can be downloaded for free like that is a shortcoming it's not like you can say oh well uh I'll just change the law to for Australia so that you can just pirate anything you want all the time also you know L your moral Baseline now is Luke's moral Baseline now is what he can get away with within the confines of the law

no it's not what I'm trying to get away with or anything like that at all I think piracy is wrong but I also think charging $140 for a [ __ ] PL is even more wrong so don't buy it I'm not but that means you don't get to have it at all that's that's what I'm say should even own the game no I know that but I'm just saying your argument there are no achievements so why would I have this what if it was like my horse and me3 and they were like is this going to be $200 and you really want those achievements but you're like I'm not paying $200 and there was somehow I know that this is not feasible but if there was a way that you could illegally obtain it for free and get the achievements would you do it I have never pirated a game for achievements

and I never will I will always get dodging the and also I looked into it they were going to make it my horse of me3 but then it was cancelled hes up very upset that that n game never got made speaking of uh all to get out of you still playing uh yeah my horse Prince yeah he's uh he was making me breakfast yesterday did you get that oh he's making you breakfast I get [ __ ] I get [ __ ] text messages from him telling me how hungry he is oh I I turn that off I turn that off actually I sorry let let me go back when you say he was making you breakfast do you mean like after you spent the night at his house after you [ __ ] him

no no after uh he he he spent the second day uh working out on treadmills I don't know if you've gotten up to that point yet not yet but uh yeah and after that he uh I guess I didn't really explain why but he he is now staying at my house uh and I woke up and he he was like good morning breakfast will be ready in a minute he was making um white rice miso soup and uh some kind of fish dish for breakfast uh and my character commented that she's never had that for breakfast before okay okay it's a [ __ ] weird game yeah yeah it is I'll be honest I'm not sure that I'm going to keep playing this you know really yes yeah I got out of it pretty you have to watch a lot of picking this up or uh
