all right I'm going to start this episode off just apologizing okay that's probably wise what did you do well it's going to be my birthday in like an hour and 20 minutes oh [ __ ] okay yeah hour and 18 minutes now there you go I went out last night yes Hannah organized me to go out for dinner with some of her friends to a gin bar oh God she mental I drank a lot of gin what a [ __ ] surprise so you're not d so I'm not well today I've just been lying on the lounge watching crap television drinking lemonade with gin in it not a lot just a little bit welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and

Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy the hair of to keep my fluids up hair of the dog to bit you is that so what is that hair of the dog is that like a magic spell from the olden days the hair of the dog no what do they say oh do you mean where the term actually comes from yeah I don't mean is it actually a magic spell I know I mean is that where the term comes from hair of the dog that bit you is that some kind of magic spell maybe like you if you get bitten by a dog to cill the rabies you need to make something out of the hair or some I don't know the expression Hair of the Dog for alcoholic drink taken to the Cur a shortening off hair of the dog that beat you it comes from an old belief

that someone bitten by rabber dog could cure rabies by taking a potion containing some of the dog's hair I am a [ __ ] genius I did not know that I just made it up there you go yep so you don't have to get bit by the side bug you have to drink their hair yeah all right oh good to know good to know yep people were stupid well yeah apparently I am too cuz I I figured out what it was I reverse I'm reverse stupid I'm not saying you're stupid because you were sort of making fun of it a little bit right yeah I was hoping it was actually something were at least I thought it was going to be something more sensible than that but no it's not yeah no it's not it's yeah people were yeah I got bit Rabbid catch the dog so more people probably get

rabies from trying to catch the dog and well you can't leave the dog out there I guess they have to catch the dog and I don't know put down yeah but if you just cat you get to shave it releasing it again it seems a bit silly I'm assuming they're releasing the dog yeah well well I don't think you can kill rabies can you so no they wouldn't release the dog they would put the dog down I don't we're talking about people that their idea of getting cured was to drink hair oh yeah Fair all right good point and I don't know much about rabies we don't have it in Australia no I know that's why um when we brought Atlas our cat over here to the us we didn't have to quarantine him or anything like that cuz I don't have any of that stuff in Australia if we ever try and bring

him back we have to vaccinate him for it now though wouldn't you uh yeah he he has to get lots of different things that he didn't have to get in Australia and if we ever want to take him back to Australia he's going to have to [ __ ] go into quarantine for six months or something yeah it's something crazy which yeah I don't I don't think I could put my cats in quarantine for that long no no I felt awful just even just he he had to go on the plane by himself for uh it's basically about 48 hour trip uh just in a carrier and then God I just felt so awful cuz he's a he's just a sweet little boy and he didn't he doesn't deserve that but he's here and he's fine you should just claim he is a support cat that would we could have given it a shot I suppose yeah I think if we ever

travel like live overseas we would have to but somehow get like a private plane to fly clo oh yeah I'm sure you can you can probably afford you know your own private plane at this point we're all getting on in years we're at that point where you've amassed so much money you can start buying stuff like private planes right I blow my money on [ __ ] I don't have I don't save anything interesting interesting yeah I also you saw the picture of the helmet I just put I also do that yes uh I do they make Stormtrooper ones um not like that the only ones I saw from that company were like that one and the poan one but I have seen other ones which are the full face ones which you get of Boba Fett I'm sure there'd be a storm trooper one I know there's a Tai

pilot one okay Tha pilot could be cool see I'm I'm I'm team Empire so yeah empire did nothing did nothing wrong and uh and it was uh just pure terrorism that's that's all that was um yeah except for the fact of the murdering aliens and hating women what's the problem with that that's extended Universe I was going to take that to a dark place and pretend that I was on board with all that stuff and then you know like make a political joke and then I thought you know what no just make it clear that no I'm not on board with that all right fine fine yeah in the extended Universe uh Emperor pelatin was very much the xenophobe and also didn't really like the women right so he's not also not a fan of The Last Jedi yeah I'm pretty sure he would have

seen the end of the version that goes what 40 minutes yeah I haven't watched it again yet by the way not for not because I hate women or anything like that I just didn't like the movie I nearly nearly watched it again today geez man I don't know maybe I'll I give it a shot this week maybe I don't know I just I just didn't like it you you don't have to like it I feel like I do there's a lot of pressure on me now because you like it and then Dan's come around on it and then I don't know I don't want to be the only one who's like like Everyone's entitled to their own opinion yeah but it makes me go what if what if you are just you know a fanboy holding on to holding on to old [ __ ] and it and know it makes me wonder I I don't think so because I

don't liked any of Ryan Johnson's other movies either I think I just no I think I'm just not a fan of his work like yeah which have you seen Looper did you like Looper no I haven't seen that all right cuz Dan didn't like that either so I mean not that that means got nothing to do with this movie what's that that's the one with Hayden Christensen wasn't it no uh Joseph Gordon levit and and uh Bruce Willis no he was in jumper that's right for some reason I think of Looper and jumper as the same movie definitely not I don't know they're completely different I think I've seen jumper actually I've seen pullover and Hoodie I don't think I've seen jumper they don't call them that here sweaters and no they're swe yeah okay yeah wrong words I laughed at a lot

here when I say things hurts just speaking correctly yeah it hurts hurts aluminium aluminium [ __ ] they even spell it differently it's not it's not even that they pronounce it differently they just literally use a different word for some reason aluminum it's alumin no moving on we got some followup uh this week I'll be brief we're doing so well at this followup I know I'm going to be brief on the first one cuz I don't want to get sued but after all that last week uh with with Stanley you know saying that everything's fine everything's fine don't don't worry about it him and his daughter are fine him and his friend are fine he is suing somebody for elder abuse apparently allegedly

allegedly Gerardo olivar allegedly Stanley is suing him for financial abuse of an elder conversion I don't know what that means uh and misappropriation of his name and likeness now I wonder is this the guy whoo blood yeah I wonder if it's that guy I probably could have researched that before we started but you know no that's the only thing I can think of yeah was the only thing we've discussed in the last few weeks um no it is that guy sorry it does mention it here in the article and he also uh loaned 300 Grand to a fake nonprofit uh and bought a $850,000 West Hollywood

condo didn't he just come out and say that was all above board like last week no I see that's the thing I don't know about that I think what he was saying is there was some allegations about his daughter AB like you know ripping him off or something or trying to screw him over and then another friend of his so maybe this is a different guy so he maybe the message last week was just that no no no it's not my daughter and my friend it's this other [ __ ] with yeah no I remember something about like someone was saying like yeah he brought he still owned the property that that guy was staying in it just worked out easier right for that situation but or maybe this article is also fake who the [ __ ] knows I just yeah yeah we don't we don't know leave our stand alone just

let him will him off somewhere yeah give him a book rug him up and let him do it I had to look at uh CU it's been how many years has been since we saw him at Supernova uh three years now Okay so we've got four we have a photo with him Jenna and I which is in a frame with a with the comic he signed uh and we yeah we we have it it's in it's SP at the moment we don't have our art up art up on the walls cuz we're painting the house but I saw it the other day and I was comparing it to the photos of him from that convention you know recently and I'm like [ __ ] he has he has deteriorated quite a lot because also he gave a big talk at the at that Supernova and he was fine like he was no he was not he was not no no I felt bad even for him back

then huh like he couldn't quite hear oh sure he could hear anyone yeah but he was up on stage walking around he was talking about you know how he they you know no he was I could see then he was starting to slow down okay fair enough like he was yeah and that's why even when he came back I think the next year or the year after I said Australia's trying to kill him wait he I thought he wasn't coming back he came back yeah he he's been here twice now hell does he need the money he Sur he doesn't need the money he does all right doesn't he I think he just likes his fans well that's great then I guess like that's awesome but [ __ ] man I guess yeah he came back in 2017 November so just last year as long as he's happy I guess

I don't care do what you you know yeah yeah but if he if he's being like coerced into this well that's [ __ ] but if he if he if this is he's doing what he wants to do with his you know his Twilight years how much did you pay for the autograph and photo um I don't remember exactly I would say it it was definitely less than $200 total okay well when he came out last year it was $150 for an autograph and $200 for a photo okay no we did not pay that much money absolutely not no absolutely not the reason we got it is because it was surprisingly uh affordable which is ridiculous to say I got a photo and and a man wrote on my comic and it cost me $200 but you know

well I that's weird cuz I paid I think 160 for Carrie Fisher right yeah uh there was that controversy not long ago about Chris Hemsworth cuz he was charging like $350 for a [ __ ] signature or something and yeah but I I wonder if it's to keep out the riff raff crazy people yeah cuz I imagine Chris Hemsworth would have I often you know I feel like I think going be bit of a hassle being a celebrity just just personally I I don't think I could deal with I don't feel sorry for them at all I don't think I could deal with it but they all know this going in yeah that's fair that's fair but I don't think I could deal with it I think I would I'd be one of those celebrities that you see in the news that he like punched a fan or something cuz I was trying to eat my

lunch and they just wouldn't [ __ ] leave me alone see everyone does it wrong what you do is you just lean into it you're always there for a photo you're always there to do anything and everyone just gets bored of you fair enough fair enough like I CP famous like I've put out there if anyone wants a hug I'm your man y yeah I will hug anyone who listens to our show what happens when it gets out of hand right like hopefully one day this podcast blows up enough what who who whose hands do you think are going to W mine or theirs all right fair enough haven't been recog we've been recognized places before no it doesn't happen often I've been recognized some places and it is I have as well it's nice awesome and shocking yeah I feel like but will cross a line at one point

where I'm like I was just trying to walk over there so let's just make sure we never get that famous I don't think it's going to come up I don't think it's going to be a problem I want to get I want to get famous enough that that's happening and I'm also making a living from it sure I would hate to sort of get famous enough but that's not how I'm making my money I'm making a living doing this I don't think so no do seem feasible to me I can't I don't understand I don't know any sh getting recognized every and then not making any money yeah maybe I could sell my hugs or is that illegal I don't know could be considered prostitution of some sort yeah and I know you're cracking down on prostitution over there lately I am yep sure am I'm [ __ ] sick of it saw you yeah had

enough stop it um I saw my friend uh is dating at the moment he's trying to you know find find the ladies right and I've never used any of these dating apps cuz I I guess I just missed that I got you know I met Jenna just before that CRA started and I just I've never done it but he was using um he uses uh what is it uh uh Tinder Tinder and and Bumble is another one right but I think bumble's the one where the girls have to contact First could be well that that would explain this sort of but you've got to pay to like do things in it right and it I don't quite know how it works but you it shows him a bunch of pictures of girls and he he goes yeah I like that one I don't like that one and then he

did this thing where he paid money to like her more like so that she goes oh he he spent money I guess he he's like serious or something like that and I was like that's a bit weird like well those apps do have to make money somehow but yeah but I don't know I don't know what whatever it seems weird to me seem like a weird way to meet people stop paying the girl seems like a weird way to meet people it's like I paid to have you like contact me oh whatever or is it maybe your photos go maybe maybe it doesn't work that way maybe it doesn't work that way but I I tried Tinder for a little while oh really yeah I never got a match with

you I'm kidding I'm not um well I I never used it when we were together because well we were together of course it' be rude then yeah it would be would be I've never used him though I know that you swipe in in a direction that indicates your preference on the person and what happens is guys just swipe on yes to everything and the girls are picky I feel like I would be picky I'm not I'm not saying they're picky I'm saying guys would just yeah send out I guess it depends on why you're doing it yeah because they they're doing it for different reasons perhaps yeah yeah the goal is is different um we got one more piece of followup this week I think it's the only other piece of followup um and that is uh we talked last week about Billy

Mitchell yes the cheater well apparently he's claiming he didn't cheat and he's going to prove it so uh the fact he says the fact of the matter is now there is a true professional diligence being done to investigate things that happened as far as 35 years ago in a professional manner not in a shock jock mentality designed to create hits so I don't really know what that means I think what he's saying is someone's going to prove that 35 years ago he didn't cheat so I don't know we'll see I don't know it's a it's a long way to go back and before they stripped him of everything I'm pretty sure they would have looked into it very closely well here's my thing right here's here here's what I have to say to him right he's done this fairly recently he's been

submitting some of these things right still he's still doing this like it wasn't is he well king of Kong was well like oh yeah king of Kong felt a lot older than what it was but it wasn't that long well I feel like if he could do it before just [ __ ] do it again and do it in front of everybody he's never done it live that's what I'm saying do it just [ __ ] do it if you can do it what's the problem yeah like you called other people out that they have to do it live yeah how about you your chance everyone else did it just do it and then there's no question but he won't because even like I know some people like now it's you don't even have to do it live you can do it on Twitch and just stream it exactly yeah you don't have to organize a big event so

you can every time you try you just switch it on and let everyone watch that's right so look Billy nip this in the bud right now mate just hop on Twitch with get someone to film you on your authentic original Donkey Kong arcade cabinet that you you definitely have because you've been using it for da scores for 30 [ __ ] years so we know you've got it so just do it easy you know what you've got in my head now what's that I want to buy an arcade cabinet yeah I want that too I'm going to wait till we finish the basement I mean sorry your bedroom so um my bedroom so we can put it down there cuz what I've always thought would be good and awesome thing to have is a um a coffee table one to use as a coffee table

that's so we we had when I worked uh at you know I was doing web development in Sydney at the company I worked for I don't want to say the name of the company just in case I don't don't know if you're supposed to do that uh I worked for company in Sydney doing web development and we had a arcade coffee table in the office was sick yep I want a pinball machine and I want an arcade cabinet MH yeah we were getting pinball machine too they're expensive though they're very expensive yeah especially the one I want and also the the original ones break and they are like actually mechanical and I don't know that I could fix one so um I know someone who could actually fix one for

me okay and you think a lot of them would break from being overused you're not going to be using that for 3 hours every day sure and if you look at most of the ones that you've probably seen that are broken jite she [ __ ] loves pinball pinball is the best and I I can destroy her at pinball say that but then when you guys last time well last time I recall when you guys challenged each other on the Creature from the Black Lagoon machine in Melbourne it didn't go so well for you just saying I the way I remember it is I destroyed her I'm not sure that's what happened however I'm pretty sure that is I wasn't watching you guys went off and did that and then I got the story afterwards so I maybe next time we should have a a some kind of Judge hey

we'll make it official we'll film it we'll put it on Twitch that's right if I'll call Billy Mitchell out I'll do the same thing yeah perfect but yeah like if you think most of the pinball machines you see are broken and they're at like pubs and stuff yeah right so they get abused a little bit Yeah beer poured on them did we go do we I don't think we did uh to the the bunker is it called the bunker did we take it to the place here with all the [ __ ] pinball machines no yeah I didn't think so I don't think we had time I need to go to there yeah so here in uh it's in a place called onville uh did you go to the did we go to the hot wiener place with you yeah you've been there yeah yeah yeah we went with uh dog with dog and uh oh yeah that

was at what 2:00 in the morning after I'd been drinking yes so and I had to dry some cold coffee drink yeah yeah coffee milk so the that that the place I'm talking about didn't exist then it but it does now and it's like literally right around the corner from that place okay not that the [ __ ] listeners know what I'm talking about this ising boring for that I'm sure I I actually don't really know what you're talking about either okay fine I went there once what 6 years ago now no and I was drunk 2013 so five years ago all right five years ago fine fine all right we have some sad news this week and uh I'm I'm interested to see whether you're going to allow this but uh I would like to

nominate someone as geek of the week the robot Beast are going to Mars no it's it's ver Troyer V Troyer V Troyer has died he has no yeah you didn't know no oh man yeah he uh he apparently has been suffering badly from alcoholism and became suicidal and he has he has died and the implication is that he he has killed himself so oh damn at the age of 49 yeah yeah apparently he's uh he's had a lot of trouble with with alcoholism allegedly allegedly I'm not I don't want to get sued but uh but he well he has died uh I'm that has been confirmed I believe so yeah oh if you don't know who

V Troy is he is uh mini go watch postal yeah go watch postal [ __ ] oh man ver Troyer yeah he's Mini Me from Austin Powers he uh he's uh 2.8 that be what he's most known for I think right 2.8t tall he'd be he's a little guy he'd be known for Mini Me and he's six tape yes yes so I I don't know if you're G to fight me on this but uh I would like to nominate ver Troya as geek of the week no no I I will I will allow this very all right very good I'll play the jingle [Music] in now this technically does cross over into another segment that we used to do but I don't know if we should do that segment anymore uh well we can't really do it without Dan without without Dan yeah so the segment I think will still

continue yeah probably but I think yeah listeners of the show will know [Laughter] action film opposite the rock or something like that although actually [ __ ] that he could have why not that would have been pretty good so I would have watched that yeah fair enough I just realized that I'm talking out of my ass and uh verro should have been in more stuff he was in yes what was he in he was a alien baby in Men In Black uh he was the baby version of Mighty Joe Young he was uh in jingle all the way and my giant I don't think I've seen either of those uh oh he was in Harry Potter uh he was in scrubs and then obviously Austin Powers yeah he's in a

few things but like I said he kind of he's always been in a lot but not yeah the main stuff you need kind of a a special real for oh he's in uh poly Shaw Must Die which is the best poly Shaw movie ever made if you haven't seen PA Shaw Must Die check it out I haven't seen that one it's it's good it's the one where he fakes his own death cuz he he uh I think John balushi comes to him in a dream and tells him that don't worry because everyone hates him right because it's like it's based on like it's like a fake documentary based on Paulie Shaw's life you know he became like unpopular in the in the late 90s yeah he was sort of awesome and then just everyone grew tired of him very quickly yeah and then he became like a laughing stock and it's about like that

and he's like begging all of his actor friends to put him in their movies and it's got like like Charlie Sheen's in it and like ver tryer and like a bunch of other people he like are in it and then yeah jum balushi is at the person I'm thinking of John yeah from BL brother right yeah yeah he uh he comes to him in a dream and tells him that if he dies everyone will think he was a genius because that's how that works and so he fakes his own death okay and then yeah it's it's hilarious it's a great movie ah I remember it being hilarious I I should don't yeah cuz I also remember biodome being an amazing movie oh it is I watched that a couple of years ago mhm and you enjoyed it thoroughly I'm sure oh I I still sort of enjoyed it but it didn't leave up to what I remembered no

you seen ramp I've not seen it yet I was going to go see it on the weekend I was going to see it today actually but then hung over yeah well it's [ __ ] great I mean I know no it's not it's not uh the most popular film of the year but uh it's [ __ ] great I enjoyed it I have been seeing a lot of reviews and they're not saying like it's it's a great movie they're saying it's like a good bad movie yeah yeah everybody in it knows it's a dumb movie it's not doesn't take itself too seriously like [ __ ] what what's the guy from uh The Walking Dead he's in it um Jeffrey Jeffrey Dean Morgan is that his name is his name Jeffrey Dean Morgan anyway the guy uh Negan from The Walking Dead list will probably know what I'm

talking about oh okay that guy's in it and his character is [ __ ] stupid but but like great because he just commits to it the whole time he gets called out on the fact that that he's stupid by other characters in the film and and then it's just like a joke so it's fine when they first announced this on first s the trailer went well this is silly it doesn't follow on for the game at all and then I started to think about how stupid that was there was no story in that game no well not that I'm aware of anyway but the only thing that I found that was a bit weird cuz in the game you are a scientist like it's turned into a mon that's what I thought actually yeah cuz I know when you die in the original Rampage you'd shrink back down to your thing you'd be naked and then

you sort of edge off the screen hiding your bits yeah but this one it is just they get what what happens to they get hit by alien Ray or something I don't know it's been two weeks so I can talk about spoilers if you want so the plot is no go for it all right so the plot is that uh there's uh they're doing this Gene experiment uh and there is a satellite up in uh well sorry a space station in space where they're doing these experiments because you can't do them on Earth they got to be in in international space to do these experiments uh and they they use this stuff to mutate a rat into a into a monster and it gets loose and attacks the space station space station gets destroyed and then through through a sequence of events three

canisters of the stuff end up crashing down into various areas of of North America and MH and cause three animals to mutate into monsters and from what I've seen in trollers there's one that's sort of a smart gorilla yes and then George that's the only one I've seen in trilers I haven't actually seen any of the other monsters uh so I'm guessing the smart gorilla who is The Rock's friends save the day together well we could talk about that uh a little yes um and I've put an article in here which actually just made me think [ __ ] the rock is like I can't believe the rock is the rock is amazing and is's doing everything I don't I can't believe this guy must have some [ __ ] skeletons in the

closet he's like atoning for something cuz this guy he's just too nice right so we'll talk about something else that he did afterwards but at the end of this movie uh yes George saves the day and apparently they had to have a big meeting right the rock went in to talk to the production company and the directors and everybody and then he said look we need to change the end of the film because apparently at the end originally in the script George died and he said the rock said to them I have an agreement with my audience that they will leave the cinema happy and smiling so either we change the ending of the film or you find someone else wow like and then they were like all

right well yeah you don't say no to the rock yeah he said uh he said they told him that oh you know that George sacrifices himself it's it's kind of you know like a tragic story and then The Rock said okay but this is a movie and there a crocodile the size of a football stadium we're not making Saving Private Ryan yeah like I can understand like being at the end I can see him George dying and it would be very it it be sort of a sad moment I'd probably even get a little teary but that's not the movie I'm going to see no that's not the movie I want to see I want to see just stupid [ __ ] happening and it's so stupid you don't need that you don't need that sacrifice at the end of a stupid movie it's so stupid but it's it's awesome it's really good it's got some great

action sequences in it it's got some huge monsters it's tops any actually one thing I will critique well it just confused me I don't understand why George like George got bigger but he didn't get as Bigg as the [ __ ] other animals the other animals got huge and then George was just like pretty big and then the other maybe it was um George who decided to stop drinking the stuff or something maybe smaller dose cuz they got the other ones got more Powers too they got like abilities which George was just a really big gorilla like the others the other animals can do other things as well so I don't know I'm not definitely going to go see it this week I'm not sure why that is probably make go see the Avengers this week [ __ ] is that out this

week yep I'm going to go next Saturday so I'll be discussing it next week's podcast no spoilers though God can't believe cuz only the first week is out there you go all right didn't realize it was so soon yeah it really snuck up it's been sort of quiet but it hasn't I think I just missed advertising misses me a lot I think these days sure because you're asleep yep yeah I don't and I've got ad blocker on actually I don't I don't believe in ad blocker no it's real I've seen it I feel I think it's terrible I cuz and the reason why it's terrible is everyone complains about clickbait headlines yes the reason why all the sites have to have clickbait is because everyone's got ad blocker

on no yes and no I think I think the problem is that even if you didn't have ad blocker on they would still have all the ads because they make a [ __ ] ton of money off them what I don't like is the way the the ad companies um report back and sell the data and you know they they keep it they keep track of you across different websites and and all that kind of stuff that's why I don't know I feel like in in an Ideal World yes a website should be able to sell ads in order to support it because everybody now thinks everything should be free like so if everything's free no one's going to make anything well it's kind of like the way you know like we because we don't have ads on here we we advertise our own stuff because you know

that's we sell our stuff oh as I said I would quite happily sell out and sell anything right but well I don't know that we need to like you know it's there's no you know we're fine as we are like we sell I do with a few more Xboxes yeah we sell some T-shirts we have supporters on patreon that are fantastic like we do we do fine and uh you know and I feel like in actually if you if you like something a couple of bucks a month I'm happy to pay a couple of bucks a month for things I like I do I support I support that's what I actually do I've got there's one website I go to all the time TR treatment.com oh yeah I actually buy my buy a subscription to them so it's like 25 bucks for a year and I don't get any ads on the website and I just get more

stats and everything yeah and then I also I've also gone to YouTube red oh have you yeah it's an extra 10 bucks like it's 10 bucks a month and I don't get any ads on there anymore right nice and I like to think that hopefully I'm supporting shows that get Dem money tied maybe I like to think I am but I'm probably not yeah cuz some of the web channels that go to some of their stuff does get the money ties because like adult themes and stuff or they might be sh a video game with a gun yeah so but I'm sort of hoping that since I'm still watching you go to yeah well hopefully that's the case although the ones they've demonetized a lot of people lately we've definitely been demonetized on YouTube yeah [ __ ] yeah yeah we don't have enough why have we

been well because we don't post anything on there and so yeah yeah like I don't know YouTube's not a good D an ultimatum it's not a good platform will listen yeah he will we've been saying for a very long time we're going to put cyborg up there you think that's going to be the the Lynch pin that's going to be that's that's going to bring everyone in okay I have a I have a DVD rip on my computer ready to go Dan wants to put a higher quality version on he's got two weeks otherwise you're releasing the tap if it's not up in two weeks I'm releasing it okay very good I want to stop following up more on the stuff I say I'm going to do well come on let's not go crazy not not all of it no I say a lot of [ __ ] you do it's all stuff I want to do I'm sure

it is I believe you I believe that when you say it you you believe that you want to do it but I also don't believe that you do most of the time Jin yeah uh I saw another film this week that you have seen and we don't I guess we don't have to spend a lot of time on um it's been two weeks now right we're talking about oh definitely yeah yeah so I saw Ready Player One fin Ready Player One what did you think I did not like it I was pretty bored through most of it uh I didn't hate it I did feel it was I don't know it just I think it missed the mark on so much stuff I've just worked out who's going to be the fan of this show that movie who the people who

watch Big Bang Theory that's [ __ ] that's what Jenna said yep like the people who they they're not quite sure what sort of is happening but they think that's cool and funny and that they're sort of involved in it condescending go on oh sorry I really don't like big bang here no I know I know Jenna [ __ ] hates it I I thought I'm I'm indifferent about it I think it's pretty funny sometimes I think it sort of started off okay but then it just turned into see I haven't watched it in like 10 years or whenever I don't know every now and again when I'm flying it's I put an episode on and it's just just to punish yourself yeah just to punish myself but they're jokes that I just don't get but then people I hear people laughing and I know it's a laugh track they probably

watching a different movie look but it just seems yeah so I'm thinking but I hly think they're the people who are going to really enjoy Ready Player one yeah it's Bas it was I I felt like it was 2 hours of remember this remember this remember this like okay yep I remember that oh The Iron Giant I remember him oh look he's the iron giant's giving the thumbs up as he goes into the lava like in terminated 2 I remember that yeah is there a story to this movie yeah like one thing that was weird like CU they did do that thumbs up at the end but they tried to do it so quick that's what I mean that's that's the whole thing felt like that it was just like like shoved a [ __ ] pop culture reference into every frame it's

just like like I was like oh my God like yes okay y I remember that remember yeah oh God y Hannah actually even read the book and she even said the same about the book like sort of lacking that story I mean it has a story obviously like stuff happens and it's got the you know the thing about the key and you know what my favorite thing about this movie is and I actually the the the main thing I enjoyed and I enjoyed quite a lot mhm the [ __ ] guy who made it they made the Oasis he was great yes should have been about him he was [ __ ] they trying to make out like cuz they're trying even they're trying to make out that he's the guy in I forget his name the star what moves about that that he's always logged on and never wants to come out yeah but then the second he meets a

girl he goes you want to meet in real life like he was doing that from first bit and but they're still trying to make out that he can't deal with not being on and they also make out that she doesn't really want to meet because she's got that birth mark oh that was laughable oh she's like I'm thinking oh she's like deformed or she's got some hideous she just got a little birth mark on her face other than that she's like other than that she's very cute exactly yeah like yeah she she's not hideous she's not ugly she's just cute and she's got a little birth mark which many people have yeah that was and actually it seemed to get lighter throughout the show a lot of like that was laughable I can't believe Steven Spielberg made this movie I can't believe no [ __ ] see and

this what said I'm not a fan of Spielberg I don't think he's doing a massive fan of SP I think he's just a name I think he's just a name now I think he just got old and they wheel him out and go put your name on this and we'll give you a check I find it hard to believe I feel like he didn't know what any of this [ __ ] was and they were like put this in put this in and he's like oh is this the kids like this and they're like yep just put it just bathe it in the this stuff the 80s just pour this 80s diarrhea all overs and then for and then but we're also throwing all this recent stuff as well which doesn't fit like the OverWatch stuff which is very very current Master Chief shows up and just so yeah traca was in like obnoxious obnoxious number of shots yeah

just cuz she's popular at the moment but in saying that I would love to play that game oh yeah absolutely I would love to like log in Jack in whatever they did and live in that world I would be happy with that and jack off yeah a lot of jacking off I don't know the concept is it was interesting I feel like it was um just I don't know didn't do it for me oh know here's another thing I think this might have made a better television series than a movie sure I I honestly I just think it was too much too much [ __ ] Nostalgia yeah like it was overwhelming and then I if they had dialed it back and just focused on I don't know making the I feel like the the story just wasn't quite a lot The Nostalgia and a lot of the things you're

going to have to go back there and rewatch to try and pick up a lot of it like they're all just like a lot of Easter eggs thrown in the background yeah and then cuz as I'm thinking about it the story is quite cool this guy this programmer designs this game it blows up he dies turns out he's put this Easter egg in it you've got to find these three keys and whoever finds the keys wins and takes over ownership of the company in the game and all that gets complete control that's pretty cool and then there's this evil evil company uh II who basically form a business around trying to solve the Easter egg so they can take over the game like that's all cool like the whole thing sounds cool it just I don't know it just didn't do it for me like no execution was off for me by

[ __ ] Steven Spielberg not everything he touches is going to turn to Gold I feel like this was just not a subject matter that he knows anything about no I feel like someone may I reckon somebody familiar like someone our age maybe would have made it hit for us then again it's been pretty popular so maybe we're just it's still making money yeah maybe we're just outside the the target zone for the audience on this one which is weird maybe we should try and watch Big Bang Theory a bit more maybe it's for people who think they like the 80s the 80s were awesome might hear a bad word said about him I wonder if it's like no that's condescending I'm not going to say

it I'll say it but then I'll cut it out maybe just cuz I don't want to alienate a bunch of people but I'm thinking we were actually we were actually those kids we were actually those people in the 80s whereas this film is for people who think it would have been cool to be us in the 80s which ah yes you know what I'm saying yep yeah that's not condescending okay fine that's fine it's true yes cuz video games and stuff weren't cool back then no and we know they were terrible and even up into the '90s they were terrible we know that so and it wasn't cool to be us in the 80s so oh no it really was not yeah yeah all you cool nerds you have it easy now [ __ ] yeah I mean look let's be realistic we didn't have a whole lot of problems like

compared to the real world problems but oh God no not at all I mean we fine but I think the worst thing that happened and this happened to me and Dave was we got off a bus and then some people called us [ __ ] know it all that was the extent of that was the worst thing that happened yeah yeah and then we should go to land parties that that was pretty cool yeah land parties were great yeah I miss them drinking staying up all night drinking Coke forgetting which Coke you Ken you're using with an ash as an ashtray picking that up and drinking it it's all part of the night yeah now it's all YouTube and streaming and things I don't get that's the thing about P East they were cuz I'm I've been

a penny arcade fan for like [ __ ] so like since the early days of Penny Arcade so I really enjoy all their panels and traditionally It's tricky to get into the penny arcade panels because they fill up but not So Much Anymore the we we went to go for the penny arcade Q&A like if you recall like that's tough to get into yeah that was yeah that was one that everyone wanted to go to well we went we we were running a bit late so we got in this on the first day and the penny arcade Q&A was at 11:30 we got in there and it was about 11:00 I think and uh and so we we head in and uh you you've been to PAX East you oh yeah at 11:00 there there's no chance of you getting in cu the line would have started so we go up the escalator we go up to the escalator to

get to the main theater and there's a massive line and we're like ah [ __ ] and so we go to join the line and I said ah I the line for the P arcade Q&A and the enforcer goes oh no no no no you can go straight in this is the line for um what's [ __ ] I can't even remember the his name some YouTuber can't remember can't remember his name mark something Mark I forget it but I was like huh and then so we went in and uh it was just yeah just wandering take a seat like I mean there's still a lot of people in there but it wasn't yeah yeah but not not lines around the whole [ __ ] Convention Center like they were for this this this YouTuber and I was like oh no oh no I'm getting old no

no yeah I don't understand video games anymore I guess I understand games I don't understand Mar Markiplier his name is have you heard I have no idea who that is yeah me neither no [ __ ] idea he had he had like a bunch of of of autograph sessions throughout packs that were like like Phil full you couldn't couldn't get his autograph if I wanted to not that I wanted to cuz I don't know who he is he's got 20 million subscribers yep yep the world's changed Luke it really has and like quickly cuz I thought we were I thought we were on the pulse of this [ __ ] not that long ago no we we never were we we we unfortunately we were just too early for for this yeah imagine if we had remember when we were

coming out I feel like the luckiest girl in the world and everyone was like new Doom movie and now she's been fired wait are you serious no no no I'm just assuming she would have been because I was like oh my God breaking news yeah so uh apparently they're making a new Doom movie I would sort of hope I had the first one wasn't that bad I uh but it wasn't a doom movie I bought it on iTunes uh which you have yet to install recently cuz it was on on sale and I have yet to watch it again but I really I'm I'm it's got The Rock in it it's got The Rock in it and I'm just saying like but if if you if you don't think of it as a doom movie it's an okay science

fiction movie but it's not Doom just a movie Yes fair enough but it's not what yeah Doom is just running around killing demons from hell yeah yeah that's what Doom is that is what Doom not yeah and that's that's why I'm hoping CU remember it's kind of an adapation Doom 3 and Doom 3 was yeah more of the story but in the most recent Doom game they gone back to yeah shoot you oh I hope it's based on the the new Doom game cuz the story for that is I mean it's ridiculous but it's great like I hope it's that cuz that's that's it's perfect it it doesn't need to be you know scientifically accurate or anything like that they [ __ ] open a portal to hell and then uh in the new one what they they're harnessing the hell energy to to power uh make new machines and

stuff and robots and and things and then the demons come through I think that's basically the plot of the new Doom right that that's that's all we need in the movie and then Doom guy runs around and shoots has to yeah has to kill them all just to escape or turn the machine off or yeah I'm fine with whatever but yeah that's what it needs to be yep and bring the rock back yes please give him another shot at it well as long as it's got a happy ending otherwise he's not going to not going to do it have you seen the trailer for skyscraper he's new film no God it looks [ __ ] awesome it looks like die hard but with the rock and the rock is like a amput he's he's got like a prosthetic leg and it

basically just looks like Die Hard with the rock cuz it's the world cuz this was one this was one I was actually probably going to skip skyscraper yeah no no watch the trail no you need to see it it looks [ __ ] excellent It's about that's it's like the world's tallest skyscraper The Rock's like he used to be in the military or something lost his leg now he's a security consultant and he him and his family get invited to this the opening of this tallest skyscraper and then terrorists come and take over and his family's trapped and he has to like [ __ ] stop the terrorists and then the building's collapsing it looks [ __ ] awesome all right I will maybe see it

then no I do say I do love the rock but I don't necessarily want to watch everything he's in oh that's what I was going to tell this I know he would be good in it did you see what he did this week with that girl the the the student no [ __ ] that's what I was saying before I can't believe the rock is a real human so not only is he in every [ __ ] movie right and he's always happy always smiling like he's just seems like literally just the nicest guy in the world the other day he uh some some girl from uh from from like a school in America asked him to go to prom with her a and so he recorded a thing they played it over the announcements in the morning at school and so there's a video

you can watch a video of this it's the rock yep like comes on he goes oh good morning students uh Dwayne The Rock Johnson here and you can see they have a video all the students like what the [ __ ] and this girl's like freaking out and he says oh you know sorry I can't I can't come to prom with you um I'm going to be shooting a movie uh like when it's on but I have paid to to hire out an entire Cinema for you and all your friends with with free popcorn and snacks to go and watch Rampage and then they all got to go and see Rampage for free with a bunch of free [ __ ] like how the [ __ ] is this guy real he just such a nice guy that's what I mean it's stupid it I I mean it's obviously it's publicity so he he's

just yeah but but he's just in so much lately like the second one movie comes out he's already got another one that's just about to come out and he's filming another yeah I don't uh I just don't understand how this how he's a real human how how he's doing all this stuff and also is happy about it I feel like it's I really hope I get to hug him one day I think he would crush you a nice hug maybe he probably doesn't know his own strength just be should be really comforting just to be held in his arms and then you can go to prom with him so yeah no do we no I don't I don't do prom we don't have a jingle for the Rock and I feel like you need to I really think we need one yeah I think you need to sing it cuz you're his

biggest fan oh God I can't sing and I don't know what how to sing all right here we go um no hold on mhm just trying to think of something this is making it all the better no oh I nearly had it I nearly had it no I've lost it come on okay okay give me yep Dwayne the Rock that's what he's called no hold on no wait I mean that was accurate it was Dwayne Dwayne Johnson is not his name Dwayne the Rock Johnston is the game there you go make something with that game there we

go Dwayne Johnson he not his name Dwayne The Rocks is the game just say random words that come into my head mhm all right so speaking of uh I did a lot of thought for that that's depressing no no look I'll try and do a good job uh the um we were talking about YouTube earlier and yes uh apparently you youve put an article here about uh some YouTuber who's in serious trouble uh yeah this um you've seen everyone's seen these and I don't know how these prank YouTube channels are a thing some of them are funny some of them are not funny well most of them I don't find as funny cuz most of them are these people being dicks to other people and then going it's only a prank uh this guy called reset in January last year he made a video of him getting some Marios

taking them out of the packet taking the the white stuff out and then putting toothpaste in right then giving the packet to a homeless guy and giving him 20 bucks to eat him the guy then got sick and threw up and then he put it onto his channel and got money out of it right did the the guy know that he was eating toothpaste Oreos no right no and then uh so he's going to court now and yeah they're actually looking to try and get him to do jail time for it right and it's not the first thing he's done that's sort of this bad he once tried to get kids to eat um sandwiches with cat food in them Jesus yeah like this guy just sounds like a really nice guy that you'd want to have at your party yeah actually this this

article seems to say it was cat feces which is oh God which is even worse I mean it's much worse so all right yeah I've seen like some of these I've seen the one with the you know they make the dog into a spider that was a cool prank uh and then there's ones but but some of them go too far that's the problem is because yeah if you to me if you're making someone feel upset or unsafe you've gone too far yeah like I've seen ones where it's like people pouring like shampoo in someone's hair when they're washing their hair and that one's hilarious that that's just funny yeah giving someone cat uh toothpaste to eat so they throw up is not funny and then also what he says in the video is um maybe I've gone a bit far but look at

the positive side this will help him clean his teeth I don't think he I think he hasn't cleaned him since he became poor Jesus yes and sounds like he's a dick and that's what he's put he's filmed himself saying that and putting it on the thing like yeah yeah I think well see all these prank things make anxious anyway there was a um there's a show on here I don't know the name of it but it's like a prank show uh where they have to CH they challenge each other to do embarrassing things in public and I can't watch it just makes me anxious I just I don't like them yeah no I I I I don't go out of my way to watch them sometimes I'll just pop up and I'll see something pop up on Instagram or YouTube and I just I cringe the second I know what's

happening because I don't find it funny yeah and I think that's yeah this maybe something cuz these people are making a living of it so maybe it's just yeah this is one of the things that we've missed sure yeah as being a thing no well obviously these shows are popular and like I said I find some of them funny like the one with the dog spider and then there's you know people uh I guess when it's in in good spirit I like it it's when it's sometimes they're mean and I don't like it when they're mean and and yeah I think some people just will I realize that's kind of vague try get to try and get more views people would just continue to escalate and escalate and I don't think yeah and

because they're still even if they put like he put this video up which is terrible he made money off it still yeah of course and so he'll people will think well maybe I can escalate go that a little bit further and people are still watch and I'll get money and I think the people who are watching this are just as bad right yeah well this is there's been many uh a book and film made about the fact that people watch other people suffer yeah so like it's one thing I find sad now like when someone sees someone getting beaten up or a car crash or anything now people's first reaction isn't to rush over and help or to call someone for help their first reaction nowadays is the film yeah yeah that's a a weird

phenomenon whereas like I know I when I've I've been I've seen fights happen on the street before and I've my first instinct is to run over and to try and stop it yeah see and we've talked about this a little bit I think I have a lot of trouble remembering to do anything on social media and I feel like like I'm the opposite of that like if I saw something like that happening I agree I would I would either well I would probably go and like run away because I'm I'm I'm I'm a [ __ ] but uh but you know or if someone got hurt I would probably try and help um yeah and I wouldn't even think to do anything with social media wouldn't even cross my mind no I wouldn't even think of it like it wouldn't but that's why it's weird to me that that's people's first reaction is

like I remember one time I was in Sydney and I was out one night and I saw some kids well I say kids they were sort of 18 20 run out of a convenience store with the owner chasing them yeah and then they somehow picked up a broom or something and started to hit them and so my first instinct was to run across the road and try and help him yeah right that's a I mean that's a good Instinct as long as you don't get her not a terrible Instinct yeah exactly I got those you going to do um yeah that there's not a lot but that's the thing I think most people if they the second they know that something else is watching or like going to intervene that can actually put people on the back foot and maybe they will just

run yeah but now if people are filming that's Yeah by stand a syndrome I'm not sure if that's what it's called it probably is no if not I've just made it up but yeah like I I'll be the idiot that will get also beaten up and stabbed for trying to help do you know who I bet would also run over and help Dwayne The Rock Johnson Dwayne Johnson is not his name Dwayne The Rock Johnson is the game that's his name or who were you talking about no I was talking about Dwayne The Rock Johnson I I was actually going to put the jingle in there again once I do the jingle oh yes that great awesome jingle yeah so obviously you didn't get the full effect because we're recording this before I did the jingle but the listeners would have heard the jingle

there so cuz I everyone heard me do the jingle live earlier and or they've heard me record the jingle and now they get to hear it by now I imagine they've probably heard the jingle three or four times because I have a habit of of over doing it with with the jingles so listeners I maybe that's something we could just start throwing up on social media yeah well hey whoa whoa nothing funny about throwing up on social media we just talked about this throw the jingles up yeah yeah give people a little sneak peek about what's coming out that week well uh there's a there is a patreon feature called lens that they've put out that I was thinking we could try and do something with like I could uh I could give them a give the listeners a behind the scenes look at

how I do them do the jingles I don't know if that's interesting because like I said I'm I'm I just don't I don't know whether that's interesting to people or not um but I could do that uh and then you know I guess we could show them footage of you recording the podcast naked uh have to I now I have my webcam set up ready to go now so you're going to have to pay a prettyy High premium on the patreon to get get no yeah that's going to be very hard talking about Luke sends out dick pic all the time uh I don't I've never sent a dickpic out in my life you just receive them I just received them MH yeah and I actually found on my Snapchat recently that it looked like a lot of people have been trying to add me it's probably the listeners you keep telling them to add
