[Music] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy yesterday I actually realized I have a really good life yeah just just one of those moments that just hits you mhm mhm so I was at the shops and JB highi and they had resid 2 on sale yes that just came out and they've got like one day only sale it's very good 69 yeah I haven't played it yet but I will be shortly but I saw it for $69 I went wow that's a great price and it made you reflect on your life and I went I might pick that up and then I went uh no cuz I

don't know which Xbox I'll be playing it on and I don't want to worry about having to get the disc from the other room so I'll spend the extra money the extra $30 to buy it digital so I can just have install so I don't have to walk between rooms with the disc that is a that is a luxury that not not everyone in the world can afford Luke that is that's true no I often do that I I something will annoy me or like I have a bad day at work or whatever and then I don't know you just you got to keep some context I feel like people sometimes lose that like I think if you're listening to this show then you clearly your life can't be as bad as some people in the world like if you're able listen to a podcast at all then it can't be that bad like $30 for some

people can be the difference between eating and not eating for me was I can't be bothered to walk between rooms that's the annual salary for someone in the world $30 I know I bought uh I I told you I canceled it now the Game Pass cuz I just I actually haven't I have not turned my Xbox on this year yet which I know sounds M dramatic because it's just January but no I I I honestly cannot imagine that it canceled it and the only I was thinking oh man now I'm going to have to get the Fallout 4 disc again so it's like am I paying $10 a month just to not get the disc so I feel you I feel you we're uh a little spoiled we're very spoiled but I like it let's keep it this way what do you think Dan Dan Dan H not talking to us again it's because of what you said about his Expo really weird

when he logs on but then just doesn't talk for an entire episode yeah listeners in case you're wondering he is here he's just it doesn't want to talk to you we're having a little tiff that's right well speaking of tiffs uh we've got some followup because as we discussed last week there is going to be a new Ghostbusters film a sequel to The Original Two Ghostbusters film this isn't the first time this has been on the books Ghostbusters 3 was talked about many many years ago and they could never get uh well they could never get Bill Murray on board I think was the main problem and then Harold Ramis died and then and then we ended up with yeah just didn't quite line up and then we ended up with Ghostbusters answer the call and you know a lot of people liked it a lot

of people didn't like it some people were unnecessarily [ __ ] vocal about I'm upset that I didn't like it cuz it's got comedians on it that I like I I still haven't watched it and I know I should I love Kristen wig I think she's amazing I don't I mean I've seen her in a handful of things they just m nothing I read or hear about it makes me want to watch it so I just haven't bothered maybe I I should at some point Leslie Jones star of Ghostbusters answer the call had a bit of a a blow up on Twitter this week about the new Ghostbusters film and while I understand I feel like maybe she's not quite following what's going on I I think she missed part of the announcement the fact that it's it's meant to be rumors are saying it's going

to be the main stars are going to be like two teenage guys and two teenage girls like that's what it's going to focus they're trying go whereas the way she's seeing it is it's going to be the new Bo she yeah she said it's like uh something Trump would do she think she she thinks it's like a personal attack against her for some reason it seems like well no no I I can understand the for some reason part because people were mean to her she was probably harassed online more than any of the four people about the Ghostbusters movie fair enough cuz she not only got the female side she also got the racist side yeah but I mean it's it's a bit of an overreaction and now people are just being horrible to her all over again because she's kind of made a fool of herself I think she did

react very quickly and I think and it probably is still quite sore for her the abuse that she copped over the last one and then to sort of feel that she's sort of been thrown cuz this there was talk of there being a SE to this they didn't do very well no seems like she's making something out of something it's not and I know yeah fair enough people were [ __ ] horrible about the ghost versus film people if you don't like something just don't [ __ ] watch it don't harass people who are in it you can say you don't like things like we do that we say we don't like things but we then don't go tell people who worked on it or started stop [ __ ] harassing people who made The Last Jedi the actors and the writers like leave Ryan Johnson

alone leave uh what's her name Kelly Marie Tran alone stop it stop it leave Leslie Jones alone yeah so Kevin yeah you can voice you can voice to them that you didn't like it but you don't have to mean about Kevin we did this last time we talked about the Ghostbusters film I keep getting Kevin and Paul fig mixed up Paul fig the guy who directed the uh 2016 Ghostbusters reboot said again I think he's he said an absolute honest to God never ending supply of [ __ ] and and I hate and hate from these trolls Leslie spoke her truth and I support her people were talking about what she said not what people are saying to her right I

feel like he's he's missed pointed this as well I no I don't think he has he's supporting her and she's m she's not I just so confused by all this no no he he's s of saying he's open to the new Ghostbusters but he also supports Leslie that she basically said but what she was feeling but but supporting her in what sense supporting her in saying that this is going to be just just Ghostbusters film with it to sh on the Ghostbusters film with women in it that's not what this is It's not what it is at all it's a gross misrepresentation of what's Happening no no no but I think as I said like lezie I think he's just feeling very attacked again and probably going through a lot again and she probably didn't have all the details when she made this statement look you too like

and it's just come on join me over here in in Windville no this is part of the problem with the world we always jump onto the bad things I'm going to go on Twitter and tell her a [ __ ] off no all right fair enough yeah I think he's just saying look he does support her but at the end of the day he's also open to the new one well we we want another Ghostbuster well do we I don't know at this point I don't know if I want any more sequels to anything too much drama I prefer sequels over reboots yeah I suppose reboots I think I struggle with a bit more even if you if you see the the new Ghostbusters it's a reboot but then they try to cram as much of the original in as possible and that's part of the thing I part of the problem with the new

Ghostbusters as well I think is that they did try to throw so much original stuff in but they went or we're also not that we're also new and yeah just sick of all this [ __ ] drama you know yeah but that's what we're here for it's a business that's what the internet is here for the film industry is a business and I think sometimes everybody forgets that including us I would say the 2016 ghes by ERS from from a financial perspective did not warrant a sequel and so there but they think they can milk they think they can milk money out of Ghostbusters fans so they're going to try something else well remember PE people were wanting Ghostbusters 3 before this one was even announced but just didn't happen so they went well there's still enough talk about ghost busers let's

release one as well anyway and then even after the first weekend they will still talk about a sequel but then yeah box office dropped off very quickly it didn't have the legs point this article makes is that I mean obviously she's not she's misunderstood and the fact that this is apparently going to be like a stranger things style kids movie it's going to have be starring kids and she's now directing the same kind of I guess anger at this film that people directed at her film so she's kind of doing to the new Ghostbusters what people did to hers so yeah I don't know she hasn't told anyone to kill himself we know that for a fact though Luke do we know that for a fact so anyway she's uh she's upset I

don't know has it been has she commented on this since then I don't know uh nothing in nothing that I've seen seems a bit silly to me but you know I guess yeah I don't have people telling me to kill myself on Twitter you're right Luke yeah at the end of the day I think when she heard about it she was hurt and just was remembering what she went through and that's why she lashed out yeah people to say again people did not tell anyone to kill themselves it's amazing was able to voice her opinion and I guess the message is if you didn't like 2016 Ghostbusters film just go kill yourself that's that's what Leslie Jones says or maybe not oh but it's there's another reboot happening have you heard about

this one the Starship Troopers movie reboting yes so there's two things that are in talks now Sony have already announced they're going to be re relaunching Starship Troopers as a franchise now there's a movie in the works but there's also talk of a television show now and the movie would be a reboot whereas the television shows could be continuation well that's going to be confusing for everyone isn't it I want the television show over the mie if there's one thing that we should have learned by now it's that you don't try and reboot a [ __ ] Paul vovan film cuz it just won't be as good like RoboCop no I mean it was it wasn't the worst movie but no Total Recall it might have been the worst movie just stop it stop trying to reboot his movies yeah you're not as

good as him no one is there's been two sequels to Starship TRS three three no no there's two live action there's a and then there's a movie and there's also the cartoon series yeah cuz I we went actually went to the movies and saw that the the animated sequel yeah I haven't seen the animated one yet yeah it good the the second one not so great I haven't seen that I don't the second one even in the commentary to go we had to film this like this cuz we didn't have much money we didn't have the budget of the first one and it's all I'm sort of like thinking yeah it shows it's all different completely different director completely different oh completely it was only Casper vanine that was in it right oh there was no one from the original one in the sequel oh he came

back for three then is that is that right yeah he came back from aora and I'm pretty sure he would be back for the television show if it goes ahead cuz that's how I found out about it yeah he loves it and that's how I found out about this might be happening is he put something on Instagram about this was being discussed yeah so he's already signed on like he's ready to go look when we saw I forget the I can't remember the name of the the the animated film it came out a little Ghost of Mars is that it Trader of Mars there we go okay Trader of Mars um when we saw that it was like a special screening and they had like a bunch of behinde scenes stuff as well and they were it was all just [ __ ] him being so excited about Starship Troopers he just [ __ ] loves it man

like so I'm not surprised I think if they pitched him on anything related to it he'd be like yeah let's do it a if we pitched him if we pitched him on a job we could probably get him you think he's happy to be excited about whatever gets him a paycheck I think he is at this stage C de cuz I think he went from not having to worry about money to getting divorced and then going oh yeah I need to have a job now yeah you don't think he's spending $30 to avoid going to the other room to get a Xbox disc no I think if he I think he's having to buy the physical disc used at GameStop I know GameStop EB Games eight GameStop I I do go into those stores all the time if I but I don't buy anything like I mean

they are pretty cheap now I I forget sometimes that I didn't used to always pay full price for games cuz I don't play a game when it comes out I'll often buy them well it depends depends what it is often I'll buy them though and then I don't play them for six months so it's really not worth me playing full price but then I feel that little little voice in the back of my head saying now the developers aren't getting your money Matt and MH so I don't know but but it is a lot cheaper and that's a that is honestly a big thing for me and it's actually part of the reason why I don't buy used games yeah the only time I'll buy a used game is it's a game that I I cannot buy like can't stop digital and I can't find it anywhere I will buy it but yeah

the most part is I like giving developers money cuz that's why they continue to make new games if no one's paying for him no one's going to make him so yep I one of those people I like paying for my products yes well actually speaking of there's a a bit of a segue here I set that segue up for you that was on purpose that's why that's why that's why you're here so apparently uh all of these streaming services we've got now because we've got a ton of them here in the US in particular and you've got you've got Stan and yeah sh is more all the time so apparently uh there there was a period a long period where everyone was on netx

and and enjoying it except now there's so many of these streaming services and they've got so many exclusives that people don't want to pay you know 10 20 bucks a month for all of them so they're just pirating stuff I want to if you go back and listen to a podcast maybe last year or the year before I actually said that was going to be an issue yeah it's not surprising that the fact yeah like the second you get so many competing for exclusives and then people sort of go well yeah I can't afford to have 20 streaming services well we've got we have Netflix Hulu and shutter in this house and I I'm fine

with them for the moment but that is already I'm like it's just annoying not having it all in one place and it would be better if I just had it all on my on my server we're lucky in Australia at the moment because a lot of the aot of streaming services that are in America we don't have so like CBS cuz Star Trek Discovery I'm quite liking that Series Netflix have it in Australia oh sure I heard that yeah it's on uh yeah CBS or something here right and that that's happening quite a few times like well he split up a bit more in America it's not quite as bad here but it's it's going to continue to aain the grow and grow I I understand and I guess the other I don't have a lot of I mean it's been a long time since I've bothered to

do this I don't know where to download things anymore oh it's so easy Italy is still there I mean we probably I don't want to I don't want to be get in trouble directing people to how to do this but I just yeah I just feel like I feel like it's a little more difficult to do that than it used to be uh I don't know whether it's just because no it's really not it's really not it's just it it's just because you don't do it anymore yeah it's been a while since I uh since I went to Italy but yes apparently um yeah same with me oh no I did go and a little while I get to get Fortress too because I could not find it anywhere and I just had in my head I wanted to watch sometimes I'm like I want to watch

an old movie and I look on iTunes and it's $20 and I'm like why is this $20 like it's bizarre and then I would go to Italy but I just I don't know where Italy is anymore and I'm just realizing that we've got new LS they new listeners sorry they don't know what Italy means and we're talk Italy means the the website with the with the pirate ship the pirate ship website the one pirate ship yes you probably know what that means but honestly you can just Google it see I don't think that works I'm not going to do it because I know things are different here I don't know how true this is anymore but people used to say in Australia it's not illegal to download stuff it's only illegal if you're uploading is that actually is true yes yeah okay that's that's

actually correct yep that's we um there was a movie that came out that Studios were going after people for I'm trying to remember what it was it had um what's his name in it um he was in solo Oh not Danny Glover Donald Glover all right all right all right accidental racism there I think it was a it was a cowboy movie Broke Back Mountain um oh Woody Haron was well after that I kind of Woody harlson he was in Dallas bias Club they that Shia came after people hard in Australia seen that movie fair enough I just when you said the name I was like oh I was expecting some Blockbuster yeah but no they went after people big time for that and the judge

basically went the only people that they could actually go after were the people who had were had seeded who had uploaded okay so that's what I thought cuz over here you can get in trouble for for downloading I believe and then what happened was the judge went look you can send these people a letter but it has to go via me first and you have to ask for a sensible amount like you can't ask for tens of thousand you can ask when like a little old a bill for like a million dollar because either they [ __ ] up and it's not her IP address or because her grandson downloaded Avengers while she at her house yeah yeah and that's the thing the judge was saying you didn't lose a million dollars in that transaction you lost $30 not even

necessarily like the old woman wouldn't have bought anyway charge them for like you didn't yeah but what the judge was saying like you can charge people for the cost of the movie plus some additional yeah like not crazy and then they went no it's not worth it right piracy is more in Australia is more about the all right uploading than it is the downloading but again Australia they used we used to be the worst for piracy in Australia it used to be in the news all time since we got Netflix hasn't been in the news once that we one of the worst downloaders anymore it's getting all messed up again cuz when when it was just Netflix everyone was happy because it's all about convenience and that's the it's that weird thing where I I feel like it's not even necessarily about the

money although once it gets out of hand it becomes about the money but it's just about the fact that I don't want to have five of them it's stupid cuz like I've got three at the moment I will have four the second Disney releas cuz there's no way I can not have Disney Disney one is going to be they all it's just getting out of hand they all they all they're like not happy with the I guess the piece of the pie they were getting from Netflix and then they're going to ruin it you've got to make it convenient otherwi no one people are just going to go back to [ __ ] downloading [ __ ] but the Disney's one I honestly think that you're going to have to have cuz that's going to have all the fox stuff all the Disney stuff going to have to have it got to have the digital version so you

don't have to go in the other room and get a disc and you've got to have the Disney streaming service well there were actual times where I would actually own the DVD I couldn't be bothered to get up so I would go to Italy to get it yeah and that's normal that's in third world countries they do that all the time Luke that's perfectly normal yep they go to the well to fetch the water uh and then they get back and they're like I left I left the uh The Fallout 4 disc at the well oh well I'll just I'll just buy the digital version just buy it it's not my fault I'm so lazy I don't know whose fold it is but it's not mine um we got this this is I guess sort of related to people being horrible to people on Twitter there's this is some listeners run in a lot of

this to a situation that I thought we should just discuss briefly and I think people probably going to know what our stance on this is but um there's a a game company uh that we that we know we've spoken to them before um we got some friends there smir and Dagger and there was an incident this week where one of their game designers um Jeff Li posted some stuff on Facebook that was uh very from what I gather like I haven't I haven't seen he since deleted it because of all the backlash uh but from from what I can gather it was it was very H homophobic and transphobic kind of content yeah I saw I saw sort of the aftermath of this where he cuz he's

basically from Kurt C from smok and Dagger has said that they're not going to be working with him anymore and that he's probably going to have trouble finding other people're not working with him anymore now after it after afterwards um yeah but I haven't seen I haven't seen what he said cuz he he did he did delete it cuz it was there was a lot of backlash so from what I can see here has issued merger issued a statement distancing himself from Jeff after he posted a quote on Facebook suggesting that Christians should only use biological gender when referring to people I mean he's welcome to think that but I mean from it seemed to me like he this is not the first not the only incident and I guess like I said he's deleted all the posts

so I don't know but just I don't know man just there's no there's no need for it that's I've always said if you're not hurting anyone it's not a problem people do their thing I don't understand the need to to comment on other people's business it's it's what we do on the podcast it is it is but yes so some we're sent in by some people just because they um you know they want they wanted us to to to discuss it and obviously as you can probably tell we're fully in support of the lgbtq community you know do do what you want people free world just be nice to everyone yeah if you're nice to everyone everything's fine exactly I'm nice to everyone you are you're mostly nice to everyone I have seen you kick a puppy I've never kicked a puppy could have been another Ginger I

guess there there have been many times where random people have come up and hugged me from behind I have no idea who they are instead of me going what the [ __ ] is going on I just lean into the hug I mean there's people you know or is this I know it's it's been times where it's been complete Stranges this random sexual assault and you're encouraging it yeah interesting no I'm just saying for me if you want to hug me it's fine always get people's consent of well you you and I've just given M you're sending mixed messages because you're saying oh you okay so you you're pre- consenting to be hugged all right all right now I'm following you confused that yep everyone has my consent for me I can't give it for any

other anyone else it's not how it works right I want your I want I want to hear your take on this because I I think this is a bit interesting I'm not against this but I do think it's interesting so the Oscars the nominations for for the Academy Awards have been released and Black Panther's up for a bunch of them and and that's good that's fine I like I enjoyed black panther but I did think it was it did surprise me a bit being you know marvel superhero film and none of the others have ever been up for anything and I I do think maybe it's a it's a bit of a nod to giving you know to to diversifying the Academy Awards and you know which is fine uh and good but I do what what do you think what do you think about that is this um it could be but then when you also look at it

Black Panther's probably a bit different to all the other ones it is I don't I mean I liked it I didn't I didn't blow my mind or anything like I said I'm just a bit surprised like it's not it's bad film or anything it's just that really Academy Award okay all right I me it's fine well look if best picture Suicide Squad can win best picture I don't think it it won't win it it won for like sound editing or something didn't it Suicide Squad that's not quite costume design or makeup or something like that like but I don't think it'll win best picture black panther I'd be very surprised and I mean it was good alth I'd be very surprised black panther is out of what's nominated the only one I have seen or have any inclination to see is Black Panther

that's there's nothing else on that list that jumps out oh I want to see that as has a slight segue there's one on that list that jumps out at me because I'm like really uh however I'm not the only person who's who's raised their eyebrows at this and that's Bohemian rap city only because uh Brian Singer is in the news again because he's there's been a big article posted in the Atlantic about him and the the accusations over the years of well of sexually assaulting young boys uh and and now I'm like oo that's it's up for best picture is it that's that one's not it's not going to win now has he said anything about this yet he called it a homophobic smear piece at which I feel

is that's a misstep on his part because there's nothing homophobic about not wanting little kids to be molested as far as I'm concerned yeah has he said that it hasn't happened yet he he has commented many times in the past and said that like he he said it's not true uh you know he's denied it in the past so I assume he continues to deny it but just here's it reminded me of when Kevin spy remember Kevin spy got accused of of stuff and then said oh I'm gay and he like kind of Twisted it to be like uh you know like I'm coming out you know aren't I brave kind of thing uh it it it seems like he was trying to do that a little bit like oh no that's just cuz I'm gay and then people don't like gays right no that's not what this is it's cuz they're kids and you're not supposed

to I'm actually happy I'm actually happy that Hollywood is finally starting to call people out for this well cuz it's been one of those things like rumors have always been there and everyone's known like the casting couch stuff and uh like if you want to get ahead you got to get ahead there's been a lot of allegations leveled it at Brian Singer and you know I don't know whether they're true or not however have been a lot of them so you know repeatedly over a long period of time lot of people let get it to court and find out the truth yeah that's a thing this is an article so I mean that's not obviously that's not a legal proceeding it's just basically a bunch of people have got well this article has been it's a couple of years they've been

working on this I think and they've interview people and and trying to pull together and apparently Esquire was going to publish it originally but their parent company pulled a plug on it and so now it's it's been published in the Atlantic and I just I don't know it's just it's all a little bit interesting the I interesting is the the right word but like just a bit dirty you know I don't doesn't make me feel good about watching the X-Men movies you know it's just like oh God and the other there's actors that he works with a lot that I don't want to name names because I don't want to get in trouble for accidentally accusing people of anything on this podcast again but there's other there's actors he works

with I'm like oh God I hope they're not involved in all this like it's just it's gross and if you read read the articles gross it's really gross it's one of the things that annoys me cuz there are people who probably knew knew what was happening but then turned a blind eye well there must be must because we've all [ __ ] heard about it whether it's true or not everyone's [ __ ] heard about it like there there there are very few people like people who don't know if I say Brian Singer and you don't know who that is fair enough but if you know who it is and you're interested in for film he did Superman didn't he and X-Men one and two and uh Valkyrie uh The Usual Suspects was kind of his breakout film if you know of him you've probably heard about this like

even just as a rumor it's just it's it's been been talked about for a long time so yeah the allegations obviously I'm not accusing him of anything because I I I don't know I don't know but if it's true [ __ ] him look I really hope it's not true not because he's bring just because because it's [ __ ] horrible yeah it's [ __ ] horrible I hope it's not true but I mean either it's not true or he is [ __ ] bulletproof because I don't understand how all these other people are who are accused of things are being like kind of taken down and if if this is true I mean I don't I don't see how he can he can continue to work baffling to me he must he's making a lot of money for a lot of people apparently did cuz I don't

understand this is also something it's not true it might not don't sue me don't sue me if it is true if it is true and I'm not trying to say these people should be looked after or anything but what should they be able to do for work or stuff like that well clearly if if it is true if the allegations are true weig he [ __ ] needs to not be let around children well first off needs to go to jail yeah yes absolutely because it's a lot of it is highly illegal and and disgusting but then yeah um what do we do with these people after yeah because you can't just go you can never work in never work again like well the thing is though the people if people know about it right like I know people like X-Men but like come on don't

support him then like don't go see X-Men movies If he if he directs them if if if if it's true like don't support him yeah no it's weird let's move on to something fun all right fine yeah let's stay away from this all right fine stay away from the kitty diddlers fine yes let's stay away from them what do you want to talk about that's fun I don't know what's what's fun what's fun what's fun oh I watched I watched television show this week I watched it again I watched it ages ago and I loved it and I watched it again and I loved it even more MH mhm Ascension have you seen this I don't think I've ever even heard of it it got one season it's like three episodes Jesus must have been good Ascension so it's about a spaceship that leaves Earth in the 60s to colonize new

syst okay now the thing about it is it needs to it takes a long time to get there so this is basically a living ship so people having children living their lives procreating and all this stuff and it's about how seeing like how this whole society evolved and it's really really interesting H six episodes and it six episodes sorry oh it's no no three episodes no it's okay it's three chapters split into six episodes apparently yes maybe it depends on how they're how they're dist yeah so there's chapter one chapter two chapter 3 and chapter 3 leaves on this amazing Cliffhanger just as getting exciting and then yeah there's no more it's got Trisha heler in it yeah she's she's amazing in it but no it's just so interesting watching this this story and

sort of getting involved and then yeah so if you haven't seen watch it but be prepared to be disappointed when you realize it doesn't continue I don't I hate when shows do that I mean it's not their fault probably got cancelled but no it's oh it's just so frustrating it probably wasn't doing well at the time I think this happens a lot of sci-fi yeah yeah it's a bit hit and miss sci-fi because even if a show is really good people might not have watched it because it's I guess it's just a hardest sell sometimes and it's normally after a couple years where people actually do and also just oh wait this is just look at this I mean this does not have uh the best ratings on certain sites but it does say that 90% of people like the show this is Google Google users say 90%

of them liked it but it's got a 62% on Rotten Tomato so I that's I think sci-fi is um can be personal like something might appeal to somebody that does like really doesn't appeal to somebody else just because of the themes of it because science fiction is so I guess diverse also what I think can happen as well is people get upset when there's no more oh that's yeah that could be it too like they don't want to watch I'm not going to bother watching that because it's not yeah know I tell people to watch Carnaval and then I'm I feel like I have to say but you will be frustrated by the ending and then I'm like that's not a great pitch I suppose yeah have you seen Carnival oh you should watch it no you disappointed by the ending though yeah really oh got

cancelled they made a they made an ending like an actual ending apparently oh sorry they wrote an actual end because they thought they were going to be cancelled and then the studio was like no no you're good and then so they shot a cliffhanger and then the studio was like actually no you are canceled oh that sucks so it ends on this the most [ __ ] ridiculous Cliffhanger ever I don't know if I've said this this on the podcast or not but I really think a lot of these types of shows they should be able to get in their contract that if this gets cancelled you give us one last 2hour episode or movie to finish it you know what I want to watch is the uh the new girl final season cuz remember they tried to cancel that and

then they they they basically begged them saying please no the [ __ ] Show's not over like let us wrap it up and they I think there's like a short season floating I wouldn't use new girl as an example but sure but just like I going to do it just I don't mind a new girl but I don't really see how you end that though that's just good show though I'm talking about like a show with a story mate this is a revelation to me I I like new girl but I'm just saying like of a science fiction show that get can early yeah we want we want that ending give give us like an extra hour or two hours just to wrap it up just don't leave like the whole [ __ ] plot unanswered yeah either yeah let them yeah you have to let them film and ending if you're going to like I watched a show even recently

people of Earth okay it's a it's a game as well quite an nice show it's about a a journalist who goes to a small country town where people are being abducted and starts talking to people about this any abduction support group nice little comedy and then ends on a Cliff Hanger on season 2 and there's no more bastards yeah they're making a oh yeah people when you're negotiating contracts get that clause in there to go if you don't renew us we're allowed to end it it's a message for the producers of the new Resident Evil net Netflix series that's apparently being produced did you hear about this so apparently they're making uh continuing their video game to TV series adaptations at Netflix because they got

The Witcher coming out and uh some other stuff and they're going to do a Resident Evil one that could be hopefully nothing to do with the movies let's you know the first movie was good yeah and and they're kind of a guilty pleasure almost the others cuz they're just so like stupid but I sort of tuned out after the second one oh man I forget there's one where what's the you wouldn't have seen it there's one where she lands a [ __ ] glider on a building it's set bilon it's just it's such a strange movie I don't understand what the [ __ ] happened with that series I don't know how there was six six of them I think for some reason people were eating them up I don't know they just

they just really like milovic I guess f i I love her but I did not like her in I didn't like her character from the second one the first one same she was great in no her character changed because remember she was infected and superhuman and and yeah yes so I'm hoping it's going to be yeah stay away from the movies but I could see it as being a t absolutely well I mean it's going to be very similar to The Walking Dead I assume because it's the zombie thing so they're going to have to do something to set it apart I think it's potentially similar uh what I can see being setting it apart is there just being more action oh unless they go more of a because Resident Evil 4 mixed that up a lot cuz it was those

weird I don't you know what I don't remember what the actual PL resent Evil 4 is but they've got like those creatures inside they weren't zombes yeah they were creatures that were taking over no I'm I'm all for I actually want more stuff to be TV shows than movies these days yeah cuz I I watch a lot of TV when I'm playing a game so when I'm trying to get achievements and I'm playing a game that doesn't require me to focus as much like it's just I'm just doing it for achievements I throw television shows on in the background I prefer television because there's more of it and they give you a little recap so you got some time we can pay attention to the game yep exactly would you watch while you're playing a game would you pop

maybe a Highlander TV series show on TV series show you know what I mean maybe not no wouldn't you be interested in a Highlander TV series I mean they already made one you wouldn't be interested in another one I remember watching the original when it first came out yeah cuz they it wasn't that good they've been trying to reboot Highlander for a long time and I guess they haven't figured out how to do it yet now they're saying well maybe it should be a TV series well it already was guys seven seasons of it yeah it wasn't like a like one season and then went away it was around for a while you know so if you want to see what a if they like oh don't know how it would work as a TV series I do go watch it it was all right I think I think it was all

right it wasn't great I remember being all right was it not all right Dan would know Dan's a [ __ ] expert on the Highlander it was it was all right it it was definitely very 90s Dan you think you still not speaking to us not talking to us all right [ __ ] but how many Highlander movies were there look there was a lot wasn't there I think like seven I want to say five but yeah there might have snuck some more in there when I wasn't looking I know the first three uh I watched a bunch of times when I was a kid and then I think even though they completely different I feel like I might be wrong on this I feel like there was a fourth that did not have Christopher Lambert in it I could be wrong about that and then I think he came back and I don't know how many they made

so H and it's now being developed by uh Retro Studios yeah that's the other thing like it's being moved to a different Studio completely which not a good sign when that happens no well I guess it is in the at least they they've noticed it and rather than polishing it like you know some games they just kind of go oh well releas it anyway they they haven't they've they've just said no yeah we're just stopping it so look if you're looking forward to it you probably got another 2year wait for it cuz this is one of those games that will take years to develop at least cuz what Red Dead was what five years or something it took him to make it Red Dead 2 and I know this is a little different because Red Dead 2's got a lot of um I guess fiddly that's like you probably looking two to three years at

least yeah you're I think you're right with red dead I red Dead's like a much larger game yes complicated to to to pull it all together so which I haven't played Red Dead since I finished it I haven't played it since last year I tried the online once and yeah did you uh did you get beaten up people mean and racist here the [ __ ] is wrong with people lately I just don't get it oh it's because people are Anonymous yeah we it's something we need to be able to stop like a lot of people don't care because if they get banned on this account they'll just create another yeah you played Fallout 76 again I have no not not not since I

finished it well got to the pretty much the end of the game and went I'm not playing it anymore there was rumors it was going to go free to play oh really which is never a good sign for an MMO no and Betha did come out and went no that's not happening but a bit of an not insult a bit of a a blow to the people who paid a 100 bucks for it when it came out so it's free now like oh God damn it but I'd probably Tred if it was now there' comment said no it's not uh it's it's not good I'm not going to buy it I think they they no if they're smart they will maybe try quickly throw together a Fallout Miami or something Fallout Miami and yeah fair enough and get like I'm thinking Fallout

New Vegas I'm think yeah throw something together and get that out in the next two years to try and reclaim that Fallout franchise cuz you've they've really fall out [ __ ] Orlando and you get to go to all the the [ __ ] Disneyland and sorry Disney World and they already have that before that fall yeah they've already done that I didn't play that don't have any of the expansions you know I never even finished the main story for Fallout 4 oh really go back and play that that's a great game maybe if might find time to play anything I finally finished it will I actually cuz I got so upset playing Fallout 76 about how bad it was I actually went back and played Fallout 4 yeah you said that and honestly I I would be amazed if there wasn't maybe a

spike in the amount of people playing Fallout 4 after Fallout 76 came out when they went I want to play a real Fallout game yes I I've been continuing my see I said I haven't played my Xbox I said no and that's true but I've still been playing some games I've been on my adventure game binge that I told you about oh playing uh there a game called techno Babylon been playing on my uh on my iOS devices and there's a game called the last door that I've got on uh good old games and it's a point and click adventure game I've been playing that too I'm like I'm super into Super into those games and then it makes me regret that I purchased some Xbox games that I've not played yet I haven't played we happy few at all I

haven't even launched it I'm just I'm meal this now if if you didn't purchase that that's actually also went to Game Pass just recently as well now Jenna played it a little bit so it wasn't a complete waste but I have not played it at all and uh Red Dead 2 haven't played that in a while although I did play that a lot I shouldn't I can't complain I did get a bunch of fun out of it even if I don't finish it I have to finish the game to have fun with it but you really should I'm not I I'm good with games are you good at games I think I am I'm not 100% sure though there's a new game that just came out on the Xbox that's in trial or beta called realm Royale so

it's it's a pubg fortnite ripoff sure well there isn't fortnite and then it be and and that was actually a ripoff of something else it's yeah that that's a battle royale game and it's so 100 people going into the game and then yeah last of I've not won it but I've been I've played it four times I've been Second Twice or three times or something ridiculous and I don't even like it but you just force yourself for the achievements yeah I there was some easy achievements to get like kill a person with the character class and yeah so I'll play necessary to have fun when

you're playing a game you just need to be playing games yes interesting as I've said achievements have ruined gaming for me yeah I don't uh I don't worry about achievements at all not in the slightest I still like the fact that most people who have a Higher Achievement score than me are people who do this for a living yeah well don't make it your job cuz you won't love it anymore that's I think I would really yeah I suppose you do do it a lot anyway you know they say that you if you have to do it to make a living you uh you won't enjoy it as much well I work to play games and I'm nearly maybe you should start a Paton top 500 in the world for a gamer score start a patreon for yourself no I what we all it's

multiple nasm is what we work on you could release like sexy photos of yourself for like a higher reward to you oh I have been thinking is there that's sort of a patreon type thing where you can buy people a drink isn't there probably I don't know although I don't know if we should encourage people to do that to buy me drinks yeah I think we should because you have a slight drinking problem my friend that's not a slight drinking problem it is a drinking no it's not a problem you just I'm like I'm like house sure house that admitted he was addicted but also said he didn't have a problem house is a fictional character Luke in a television show yeah but we've got so much in common yeah you're both doctors a limp

yeah he solves cases randomly fulling [ __ ] out of his ass are you the house of work is that what you're telling us people come to you they figure things out and you just kind of like just make [ __ ] up on the spot and hope for the best just int it's always lupus yep start with lupus yeah and then work away from there do you uh do you have a lot of action figures I've got some that are worth like a couple hundred doll so what maybe even more what would you do if Hannah broke them damaged them in some way be pretty upset but then accidents happen accidents happen yeah so saying you would uh you would grab an Axe and destroy your own house and car maybe um probably not no h interesting

no interesting is that what I should do well apparently that's that's that's the reaction a man in Wisconsin had uh I don't believe it gives the gentleman's name but uh this is in Madison Wisconsin uh a man was arrested uh after he uh he accused his wife of of damaging I don't know exactly what that means uh damaging his action figures uh so he grabbed an Axe and uh and destroyed uh his TV the TV stand a laptop computer uh and several other items in the house and then he went outside and smashed up the family car he took out both of the mirrors and then uh and then got the axe stuck in the wind screen and uh someone

I guess assume his wife perhaps called the police or maybe someone else called the police actually I'm reading these he called them called them himself what a [ __ ] weirdo so yeah he says he he drank too much and overreacted little just a little just a tad see this is what like I drink a lot y I've never well I'm not an angry you never destroyed all of your own belongings with an axe no it is an odd reaction to somebody broke something of mine oh I'm going to break all the other stuff so they can't like it is an reaction I'm going to break my [ __ ] yes and then he's arrested and he's been charged with uh you know domestic related charges of disorderly

conduct fair enough but also felony damage to property so isn't it his stuff though am I not allowed to damage my own stuff um I think it comes down to it might be for the Insurance side of things oh yeah that's fair so cuz if you were going to hey I throw an extra insurance sure you're not going to get anything but if it's if you're being charged for it maybe you can yeah interesting it's so one of those things like if you lose your phone one of the things you have to do to if you're going to get it back on insurance is called to police to report it stolen oh okay or lost you need to actually police report take steps so he's got to press charges against himself in order F to that's the only thing I can think of cuz why would you just call the police on

yourself you got see this I did this like he doesn't trust himself well he was that drunk that he decided it was a good idea to smash all of his stuff who knows what he was thinking [ __ ] Maniac so he's uh he's 34 and she's 46 so there's a a bit of an age Gap there I mean I'm not not that anything wrong with that I just just an interesting just interesting point I noticed in the uh in the article I don't see that as being a big agec no you know it doesn't mean anything it's just I mean they felt it was worth pointing out so I'm just I'm just just mentioning it um he he's younger 33 so it's what 13 years normally you know you know normally what is normal these days normally you know the guy's older and then so he's a he's

a younger gentleman maybe she just didn't appre appreciate how important his Action Figures were cuz um she's not a 34y old Manchild that's maybe that's all it is also it doesn't say whether she did damage his no action figures after he thought his wife yeah did he but he just maybe drunk damaged them himself well because it kind of implies that she didn't cuz he he's like oh yeah I thought she did so I smashed all of my belongings with an axe to prevent from being able to do it I guess [ __ ] laptop people are weird yeah no [ __ ] you right about that Luke you are right about that we're weird so must be as well I'm normal oh are you the Baseline yeah

right right so when yeah that would make other people pretty weird if exactly yeah if everyone was like me the world would be would be a better Place well obviously you think that cuz you're you're you do you do you think you would get along with people if everyone was the same as you or do you think you would get into you you would have disagreements with people no I think it'd be fine I I I accept that people have a different opinion to me so if you were at a gaming convention right and everybody was harassing you because it everyone would be like you for free [ __ ] I never har ress anyone for free [ __ ] I do I remember an incident where you wanted an Xbox shirt and they told you repeatedly the the Xbox shirts were not available

there were staff shirts and you went around you asked every single Xbox employee and at one point Jenna and I said we're going to leave because this is going nowhere and then half an hour later you you arrived back where we were with an Xbox shirt yeah I mean that's maybe harassment is not quite the right word but it is somewhat like harassment the reason why I don't think it was harassment was I didn't go after the same person every time I was like you've said no but they might not yeah but in this scenario everyone is you I mean I I like to imagine you have a big hive mind it's there just one Luke and and everyone is an extension of Luke kind of like the well then everyone will know to give me [ __ ] yeah you got a point there
