like how in AME the entire Trailer worth of content happened in the first minutes of the movie and it was another movie that you just didn't know you were going to see yeah yeah exactly and look I really like it I'm I'm not sad about the fact that they did that cuz I think it's really funny and it works really well I think they're going to keep doing it because I I had something spoiled I got I got don't off if it's really spoiled but I I think there's an episode coming up that's at least I think there's at least one or two more themed episodes to come okay well there's I mean well even from the trailers there was more but they're jumping through centuries yeah I think they get up to 80s centuries decades I decades you can bleep this if

coffee shops were and you gave them four or five suggestions and then let them go off to uh decide on the one they wanted and then you got a bill from four of those coffee shops um charging you for mentioning their name right and that's what Google is That's all Google is yeah so yeah I thought that was was a bit weird but yeah I'm I'm not too concerned there are other searched engines out there that are actually are pretty fine now Duck Duck Go well Danny Elfman married to Bridget Fonda [ __ ] off is he [ __ ] according to google but then again Google doesn't know who who knows I think he's married to Tim Burton isn't he he's married to Johnny Depp they're all married to each

other it's the circle of other '90s movies um but I want to recommend Can't Hardly Wait I think it's good however it does have some particularly problematic things some stuff that's not very 2021 exactly there's a few there's some um I guess some uh ideas about the roles of men and women that are probably questionable these days there's some um quite a lot of homophobic humor in it mhm quite a lot of so weird that that was was theic back people yeah people get called a [ __ ] a lot and and it's and are very offended by it and then also the plan the nerds in it right have a plan to get back at The Jock by getting in behind the the the boat house or the sorry the pool house and then they're going to chloroform him strip his

clothes off with and put him in photos with another naked man mhm and then that's how they movies from this they used to have something like that there was that Heathers they had that I love my dead gay son um Cruel Intentions had that weird little gay subplot as well yeah well apparently this the plan is to ruin his life by um making no just making people think he's gay making it look like he's gay yeah so there's that there's also um there's a there's a usage of the nword that really surprised me I didn't remember that it had happened cuz if you remember green yeah so Seth Green's character is a obviously very white guy cuz it's Seth Green who acts like a gangster kind of like a like a black gangster kind of character and he's got two friends that

also act that way and they go to the party and they're walking around acting in a way that would not be appropriate these days it would not be appropriate for you know white act to to be kind of acting like that but then there's a bit in the movie where they his two friends run up to a group of black kids and say what's up NW and then they all chase them out of the party and for the rest of the movie they they're trying to bash these two white kids and I was like oh I forgot that was in there sure yeah wow so that's a I guess that was a '90s thing but other than that it's pretty great movie no no overall it's pretty great movie and I have a bit of trivia for other than it being racist and homophobic it's great yeah you know the

the the nerd in it right who if you recall who who ends up joining in the party and getting drunk and having a good time the kid from Hook correct the kid from Hook who retired from acting after can't Hardley wait and is now assistant professor of law and the US director of the Canada US law Institute at the Case Western Reserve University School of Law where he teaches corporate law corporate finance and torts which I guess is not a cake it's some sort of legal thing he is a very well-respected lawyer or legal scholar which surprised me yeah and I I wonder if his students often play that [ __ ] scene where he's drunk singing Paradise City Guns and

Roses wa yeah absolutely I would yeah but when does it get to a point where it's just not a thing anymore cuz you could remember that was what 22 years ago 23 years ago now yeah well the other trivia is that they had to remove a bunch of other problematic stuff to get a PG-13 rating uh including even more kind of sexually questionable uh content and a character called crying drunk girl who was originally intended to be the entire through line of the movie because she was drunk and crying and couldn't speak intelligibly so she had subtitles but she had scenes throughout the film where she connected subplots together and she ended up with the with the RAC racist character CH Swedish exchange student who's in the film if

you recall who they teach to say do you want to touch my penis and he appears throughout various points in the film and says that they get together at the end because they both can't speak English intelligible so that all got removed okay wow what brought this on like you've got it it's not you've just watched it you've got done research this this is one of my favorite movies like from that period And I watched it and it made me sad cuz I was like [ __ ] I missed the '90s like just not not obviously not all the problematic stuff but but in a way I mean yeah cuz that's that's when we were [ __ ] teenagers man that's that's it just made me so nostalgic for I was just talking about even just the 2000 Olympics I had such a great time during that cuz I was that perfect age

like between 18 and like early 20s yeah going out every night yeah drinking going to concerts meeting people I mean we didn't have parties on the scale of what's in this film but we did have parties you know like that and then and just the stuff that's you know and just how and the in between stuff was like parties you know what I mean just just hanging out of melodramatic he is about like he knows he's supposed to be with this girl it just like just just how it used to be like that like I was just like far out man this movie really understood those movies where he has to be with that girl but he's leaving that's what I'm saying but just going to get with that girl for one night and just the sentiment and just how Ser it's like oh school's over we ever going to

see each other again just remembering just all of that stuff it was just I know it's just a very um just to it was a film that came out at the right time for it to kind of land for me and so I and then so I was looking into like what happened to all these actors and that's how I went down that rabbit hole it's got So many actors you would recognize but aren't named Selma Blair's in there Jerry connell's in it that's right yeah that lead guy is in practically nothing Ethan Embry he's in a couple of things at the time yeah and then nothing well no he's still he's working but he's not a leading man is he like yeah he's still doing stuff but he's he's kind of a background guy yeah we're not high school kids anymore I want to talk about Target marketing

that one well there Blair and Sarah Michelle Geller kissing in Cruel Intentions was was [ __ ] that was a huge thing we were teenagers yeah I'll tell you what was a huge thing and I tell you what I didn't need um but so Jennifer love you it they they talk about her character for the first you know half an hour of the film but you but they intentionally conceal her face so you can't see who she is like it's a joke and then when she finally walks into the party and everyone turns and looks and they're like oh my God she came even though he dumped her it walks she walks in and the music like swells and it zooms in on her and I can just imagine kids being like the [ __ ] is that yeah but it's it's it's probably the same type of uh effect at

the time as when [ __ ] Nolan secretly cast Matt Damon as the antagonist inter yeah in interstella so maybe 20 years from now people be like who the [ __ ] is Matt Damon right yeah just it made me like I mean because it still works in the context of the movie but it's just I remember at the time being like Oh look it's Jennifer hu but then now none of that it's just oh it's just some girl yeah cuz people who were born the year that movie came out and now early 20s yeah oh that's the other thing I know I mentioned this but uh it has been longer since that movie came out than I was old when I watched it oh wow yep it came out in 1998 yeah but that's literally every movie in the 9s I know but I'd not thought about it that

way it came out in 1998 I was 18 and it's been more than 18 years since then like that's [ __ ] terrifying because that movie is like I remember it so vividly it's like that was so long ago anyway [ __ ] sorry Jesus Christ um I didn't watch any old movies that's not true I did but they're not cool old movies uh I'm just still working through Aon wells's back catalog which no one gives a [ __ ] about but uh I did watch something that is worth mentioning I watched a little Indie sci-fi called the vast of night have you guys heard of this no I think if this wasn't such a lowbudget lowkey movie it wouldn't be as good but the the kind of smallness of it is

charming it's very slow so only watch it if you enjoy a slow burn and it's very conceptual it's about not for me probably not Luke but Matt you might like it but it's about um it's about a country town in Texas in the 50s no it's not Texas it's uh New Mexico but it's not Roswell and they never say alien or flying Source or anything like that it's very lowkey but basically it's about a switchboard operator and a radio DJ who encounter this strange frequency that uh they suspect might be from a UFO and it's just a very cool little kind of ambient tense um Charming little I think I might watch this SciFi yeah it is good it is good I

recommend your description reminds me slightly of Ponty pool watch that it's very very similar to Ponty pool yeah man what a [ __ ] great movie that was Ponty is terrifying I think Ponty ball is better than this Ponty ball is so tense surprised me but but also this like you see them go around the whole town Ponty paol is literally so isolated in that one room yeah yeah movie I'll watch this yeah you should I gave into Netflix this this week and watched snow piercer oh the movie or the TV series the TV series oh I've seen the movie I actually enjoyed the TV series it makes no sense but the movie made [ __ ] sense find the the movie was okay I find the acting the in the TV series I only watched the first two episodes I just found it very very

poor I just yeah I sort of gave in watched the first season started the second season which is now coming out weekly oh right oh right but yeah the the the whole premise they just skip over like why this train that just goes around the earth keeps them alive they just cross over it's the sequel to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory if you go on Reddit is that true there's there's whole essays linking things in that back to Wily Wonka wow apparently there's a w on the front of the train and all this stuff I don't don't know for film was directed by the guy who did parasite is that right yeah yeah I sort of gave in Netflix telling me to watch it I watched it I liked it doesn't it it's Jennifer connell's in it right am I remembering

that right that's another s 80s and90s I watched Rocketeer on Disney plus a couple of weeks ago [ __ ] great movie not only is that great movie no no Matt it is holds up 100% it is CL in it doesn't it yeah it is classic '90s adventure story telling beat by beat perfect but also it is Jenifer Connelly at the absolute prime of her what's that movie she was in where she gets they get locked into a department store do you remember that movie yes I remember she bounces on that little bouncy ball I was about to say there's a scene where she's riding a one of those horse rides where you put the money in the horse just right and the guys there watching her yeah as you would you wouldn't put that in a movie these days no don't they every now and

again talk about making a sequel or a reboot of The Rocketeer yeah I don't know if it would work today well Nazis in it it's yes I mean that's literally what it's about it's about Nazis but do people care about anymore I think I mean I think you're allowed to make movies where they villain still yeah but people don't generally people don't really care I mean we care about the alt right like actual Nazis right oh joj rabbit that's about Nazis they funny Nazis yeah great movie that was yeah it got to watch that soon um you know what I'm really tempted to buy um just looping this back to uh one division yes is you can buy

got a license and they assume that whoever but they they don't tell you the specific laws of the country you're in which clearly are you do you understand which side of the road you're going to be driving on when you leave the car park speaking of rental cars cuz I mentioned we getting a new car and actually my current and only car at the moment is being repaired uh cuz I think we talked about right so I'm in a rental at the moment I mean second time that's happened to you uh your car got hit when we lived in orbit oh yeah yes it did yes yes it did uh well yeah but it was while I was parked outside our house this was while I was in it oh sh all right but uh I'm in an SUV and I don't think I can ever go back that's why I'm looking for car

right now not only is it just so much nicer to drive like you don't you're so high above the road you don't feel any bumps so smooth but also the respect you get on the road when you're in a bigger car than everyone else respect no one no one beeps I don't care they're the same thing to me no one beeps you no one Cuts you off you can do whatever you want honestly it's Freedom the dynamic would be different in Australia too right cuz here we've got we've got the we got an SUV and I've got a truck right and so but so does everybody else right when you have a smaller car in America then [ __ ] you got to get out of the way cuz it's like the opposite problem where it's like they could just anybody could crush you here in your little car so you

got to watch out yourself it's like being a bike rider in but yeah I know what you mean now that I've got the truck the truck is I I barely Drive these days but it's just so convenient it's like which one do you have TR do you have I have a Colorado Chevy Colorado and I can I think it's because I grew up with them I'm just not a fan of them right they're just like parent cars to you so convenient if I want to go if I want to go out and go to a antique store I can buy anything and just put it in my truck and bring it home like it's a pretty nice truck man I'm looking at it online what color you got yeah it's like gun medal gray yeah nice yeah I like it kind of remember my dad drives the uh hux Toyota High which is a similar kind of shape that kind of chunky chunky

youth trucks are pretty a bit different in Australia too like there you know you have Utes that we don't have Utes here I've never seen one and um even the flatbed ones I don't really have here but like yeah like theu they have and then my dad had a Nissen one that was kind of similar to ones here uh Patrol oh yeah yeah yeah could be yeah yep like the 80 series 90 series and stuff like that yeah car culture here is so much different but my truck is small compared to trucks here well [ __ ] enor trucks here well it's normally in America that you get the truck but then you also do something to it like you raise it or you add stuff you don't raise it or you lower it or you put 500 lights on the top of it so you can shoot things with it in the dark yep yeah

Jesus I saw have I talked about this the YouTube rabbit Hol I went down where there's a guy on there who um he's talking about it started with like like everyday carry kind of thing and then YouTube was like what about about this and it was like you know like your your bugout bag right and I was like oh this is interesting and then this guy who did this bugout bag video his bag was basically full of guns and I was like okay that's I'm like this is interesting and then it was like his truck right this guy's truck he's got this huge truck he's got a [ __ ] gun in the door in case in case he needs it I'm like where the [ __ ] do you have do you you have to quickly grab a [ __ ] gun out of the door while you're driving and then he's got another one in the glove

box which is Cas he needs to get out of the car it's airplane loaded which means it's it's got rounds in it but it's not chambered because the kids can get to it when it's in there right and I was like oh that makes sense just yeah just because couldn't do this yeah exactly yeah and then uh he's got an AR15 under the back seat and and I was like the where do these people live in the country that I live in that they think it's that bad cuz I've never seen it that bad they live on the edge of your property Mt and they're coming for you maybe seemed weird to me oh that's why I always get nervous watching those like Doomsday prepper things and it's just like hey we've just buried guns out the bush somewhere yeah this guy makes it sound like he has to fight for his life

to get home every day like why does he need five guns on him at all times I don't understand because if he doesn't the king of England could come there and tax his tea like that like that but the super scary thing that's just one person who's showing what they've got more people are not talking about what they've got I mean I've want people to know I've lived here for 5 years and I've never needed a gun not once do you think you'll ever get one for your even for your Vermont property where you have Bears I will probably get one for recreation at some point yeah yeah for recreation do we shooting bottles off a fence exactly I actually am more likely to buy throwing knives in the near future and possibly bow and arrow oh yeah bow and arrow for sure cuz I can set that [ __ ]

up out in the backyard easy so yeah I love archery for sure but I'm not sure what are the new throwing knives too oh yeah that's true yeah but I mean there's a there's a gun range just up the road so if I wanted to go shooting I could easy M America is I was going to say there's always a gun range up the road it's America any delicious animals want to pass you go shooting like in your backyard pretty much yeah we yeah yeah I don't know but I don't know what the rules are as far as that goes I don't want to get myself into trouble by accident so MH but yes people as D past a school bus I think is the I told you never not even if you're going the other way shoot yeah no no no you can shoot
