guys are going to be so proud of me I've done two things you've wanted me to do for a while now okay Matt get ready with the jingle Luke follows through on a thing oh yeah it's been a while Luke follows through on a thing welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy okay Luke so one thing I did today was I watched Inception hey the other thing I did today was watch interstella holy [ __ ] I'm hoping that means you liked as Inception enough to be like maybe I'll watch the other
iMovie that Christopher Nolan has made no no Inception was okay but it was it wasn't like oh my God I must watch his other stuffff it was okay okay well what did you think of interstellar then he does like leaving the questions like letting you make up what happens after the movie that's sort of his thing is yeah he's like after the movie not my problem yep I mean how would he tell you what happened after movie is over mate he comes around to your house and then Matthew mccon he flies off but like it's just like does he make it does he not is he dreaming is he like it's all just yeah yeah whatever you want to take out of inception I was okay I watched it I watched all in one sitting good that's how movies are
intended to be made I I was playing a game while watching it what game were you playing while you're watching it uh a terrible terrible game okay well that's something that's a terrible name for a game so uh so I I sort of get the movie and I sort of don't at the same time yeah that's what you meant to feel yeah yeah like the whole dream I did understand why does this technology exist because of the mil military or something uh I don't think they really go that's the great thing about Nolan's magical realism he never explains it and he never makes it that you have to have it explained he just says the rules of this world are this now here's they have this machine that does this thing where you can go into each other's dreams yes and
then you can have a Dream Within A Dream Within A Dream if you fall asleep in your dream then you have a dream inside the dream it does get a bit confus using uh yeah it does it can it I think it does a pretty good job you to watch it multiple times and every time you watch it you'll notice little things that kind of give you a little thrill of how all tied in and I have watched it multiple times and I will watch it multiple more times I'm sure I really like it yeah I won't watch it again but I can see why you would like you don't watch movies again so I will leado was great didn't it Joseph's gon L it though I don't know there's something off about when he tries to act grown up it's cuz he's an alien I agree actually I when Joseph Gordon L was young and I'm not even
talking Third Rock From the Sun I'm talking about that kind of when he was a teenager and he started doing some indie movies and stuff and I actually thought he was a really cool dude but when he tries to be an adult I agree doesn't quite get there for me he's like a child acting as a man yeah plus he's sexually assaults Ellen pagee oh yeah he tells her to kiss him yeah it was Charming at the time now when you watch it just like no that's assault hands off consent also She's a Lesbian she doesn't want it not into it she's an employee of yours so hands off that's good point got some more Len Page News coming up bit of a teaser after watching that I did move on to Interstellar yes now from watching the trailers for that and what I saw I was
thinking it was a different movie completely like I didn't know there were other astronauts in it sure mhm in the trailer I I thought it's just Matthew bony he going around I thought there was going to be more backwards and forwards between the past and the future yeah mhm and I I would have I think I would have liked to have seen that a bit more like having that that correspondence backwards and forwards like where I mean what you just described as certainly a movie I would have liked I love that scene though where he go they go down to the planet for like an hour and come back and he's basically missed his whole children's lives amazing and they just hold on his face watching all the messes yeah man I really likeing the only thing
I disliked about that sequence is that to me that guy who was left behind on the ship did not look 30 years older no no that was he he's just like he just looked a little bit bewildered he just did a bit of a hello voice like oh he's gotten old I'm slightly slumped over and you're supposed to know I'm an old man he survived for 23 years by himself no issues where when they meet up with um Matt Dylan not Matt Dylan Matt Damon Matt Dyan would have done a great job of that role too he's got a bit insane after spending a few years by himself well he's going to be insane because he's realized that the whole thing is [ __ ] pointless because he knows that the spoilers for pretty big spoilers for Interstellar yeah he knows that the whole plan B is is a lie then know there
was never a actual plan to get everybody off Earth and now he's arrived at this planet and he's like we're [ __ ] yeah like we are dead all of usad it's not earth and it ain't this so he's gone a bit mad because of that I think yeah but I don't know I just s of to me the guy that was in the spaceship by himself would have gone madder yeah all right we had uh Mars or tars to talk to didn't he they took one down to the planet he still had another robot to talk to yeah so I call [ __ ] was wear pant when they got back what I mean 23 years living alone there's no way like got back on the one day you I would have invented my own language by then oh yeah I would have invented a lot of I would have invented my own [ __ ] girlfriend and she I would have
introduced you to her that spaceship would have been full of semen yeah MH what else is there to do for 23 years yeah I wonder where he poops I not was not a desert island for 23 years how big is the [ __ ] tank but you just yeah the hole the universe's toilet M yeah they shoot it into the black hole and then when Matthew mccon flies into it the end big lake of [ __ ] the tesara is just like floating in [ __ ] the [ __ ] throughout time and space it's everywhere everything is [ __ ] inter [ __ ] what did you think of the ending the bit that bugs me the most where she just kind of figures it out what did you
think of that I I I found that a bit weird where not that she figured it out cuz that's what the whole movie was leading towards the fact that he gets home yeah it needed to happen it just yeah it's just the way that they made it so that she figured it out bugged me a bit well it was a very long movie so I don't think they could have stretched that out further but I don't know how he got home there has to be a version of that movie out there where he does not get home well I get the feeling that was something that they maybe tested with audiences and they didn't like it so they went back and went will change it that he survives and he gets to meet up with I don't know you might be right but I I can't imagine Nolan doing that I don't think he I mean I can't imagine
him giving a [ __ ] what test audien has thought but I mean maybe but also I mean cuz the you know the tesar Act was built by humans humans for specifically to do that so that he could do that cuz they knew that they would be wiped out if he didn't do that so I guess it's not once you would if you accept that it's not too much of a stretch to say and also they made it so that it would spit him out when the spaceship gets there yeah like I mean it's convenient but I guess it I mean it's you can't really say Well it that doesn't make sense as if you've accepted all the other [ __ ] why doesn't it make sense I think it just makes it too happy and ending that's fair maybe been a bit more that and haway crying at the grave of her lover that she never got to see before he died
on Planet it's too positive yeah after convincing herself for 30 years that love was a tangible element in space that would bring her back to her lover she gets there and he's dead a everyone lives happily ever after I oh Matthew mccon got home oh his [ __ ] family is old or dead but oh yeah he literally watches his daughter die as an old woman well he's and she's like and she looks at him and goes you don't need to be here we don't really know each other yeah yeah which I thought I think that's pretty mean to him that was the heartbreaking bit for me not the fact that he missed it all the fact that he got back and she's like you don't need to stick around for this it it reminded me of Life of pie did you guys watch
that and um so you know this this boy and a tiger are locked in a Lifeboat for like 6 months or whatever a drift at Sea and then they finally get to land and the Tiger's walking away and the boy's like if that was a meaningful connection between me and the tiger he'll look back at me before he disappears into the jungle and the tiger just walking off that's great yeah for those of you who have seen that obviously I've I've only given half of that information because actually there's a very cool subtext to that as well so you should watch that movie I would I'd like that's Ang Lee right it is yeah that yeah I'd like to watch that I will watch that beautifully done you should yeah you should and again this is not just me telling you to watch some weird out of
the box [ __ ] art movie it's it's artistic but it's very good all right so which did you which did you enjoy more Luke Inception orell okay interesting y very interesting all right I I I felt I understood more of what was happening in interstella that's interesting yeah I don't think that's a common statement yeah really no but I can understand Luke likes space movies this I'm not I'm not surprised that he liked interstella more but I'm glad you liked it assuming you did like it yeah yeah I did like it yeah okay I guess Inception is more like disconnected from from reality in a way whereas in interel is very grounded in actual physics I me it [ __ ] around with it but it is but also inception's the one with all the action sequences and stuff like true
interstella is just a think piece yeah there's not a huge amount of action in it apart from that really awkward fight they have on the ice Planet oh yeah oh and the the the docking with the spinning with the spinning ship and all that kind of stuff [ __ ] that scene's great well next uh next one for you to watch lcas at Astra and uh oh yeah I got to watch that too it's the Hollywood version of interstellar okay you know asally tonally similar but Much More Much much Brad Pit was in a movie less existential let's say yeah he does movies now apparently he does movies and Angelina Jolie oh no he doesn't anymore does he no I forget the last movie I saw in once upon a time once upon a time in
Hollywood haven't seen it oh you should watch that stop watching movies man stop watch stop playing games you hate just play ones you like and watch a movie or at least put a movie on while you're playing the games you well toir I do but I end up watching the same movies over and over and the same shows because it's easier to play a game while watching something you've already seen which movies I need to know which movie you watch the most the goto I I go through phases at the moment the last one I've watched was uh Spies Like Us Spies Like Us like Dan arroy yeah jum balushi no no uh Chevy Chase oh oh oh yeah okay I mean to be fair I remember that being quite a
good movie 30 years ago when I last saw it yeah I'll go with things like that that I'll watch that I'll watch like Stripes Stripes is a great movie too but want to know how many times recently you've watched stripes and Spies Like Us I've probably watched them probably at least once every three to four months thought he was going to say days and I'm like I don't watch I don't watch the same movie on repeat but I do watch the same television shows and stuff that I've seen on repeat on well like Norman I just watched three seasons of that again okay we've got to we've got to give a shout out to you Luke for putting us onto that nor is great I told you I really hav watched it yet oh you didn't watch it think you will no I haven't watch I guess I have I won't
speak for you yeah I really liked it it's Charming um and the fact that it's written in Norwegian first and then they do a take in English just so that idiots like us can watch it yep I think there is a little bit of nuance in the humor lost in the translation but that only adds to the charm of it mhm H Matt if you if if you want Vikings talking like they're in Seinfeld This is the show for you I've often wondered what that would be like but not anacronismo this doesn't get any away it's in the first couple of minutes of the first episode Matt but one of the main characters is a bit of a a a weakling and his wife is really tough and she goes on a raid that he doesn't go on and they were like you know we're really proud of your wife she did a
great job I mean we knew she would probably do well at the pillaging and the Looting but um she got right into the raping and uh and he's like what and they're like yeah every time we turned around she was you know on top of someone screaming in ecstasy and uh you know we were just really proud of her oh okay all right I guess I could watch this here we go yeah I will well does that mean you're going to check out tenant when it comes out in theaters in two weeks time in two two weeks time Australia and Singapore 27th of August America maybe next year probably never you know what I probably won't go and see it I might wait for it to come out I don't this I there not a movie I want to see at the movies it's not for me okay you don't want to see Interstellar is
probably going to be more like inter interception it's probably going to be more like uh in Inception Interstellar which to me I would not have cared to have seen them on the big screen I don't think I lose anything by not seeing them there dude [ __ ] amazing I disagree I think and Inception as well the [ __ ] sequence at the start where the where they dunk him and all the water sprays into the [ __ ] call like like the Chinese style Temple or [ __ ] sorry Japanese kab Japanese yeah [ __ ] man in a theater amazing mhm yeah no lightsabers thing is Luke wasn't even watching it he was just listening while he was playing a video game why would I do this in a theater can't take my Xbox in the theater I don't want to
be that [ __ ] screen displaying ruining it for everyone fair enough yeah you're going to have to wait Matt you you're not going to have to wait for Mulan though if you want to see Mulan Disney actually Mulan looks pretty good I'll be Mulan looks [ __ ] great yeah trailer looks great yeah yeah and the original Mulan is is a you know a fairly solid movie especially if you decided to remove Eddie Murphy's sassy dragon from it which is you know no made pretty consistently good movies exactly but you know don't listen to China this is a good movie and it's not subversive in any way now look if one thing I've learned from our president it's that everything is China's fault so yeah I certainly won't be listening to them
yeah and you can watch it on Disney plus next month for $30 pay-per-view pay-per-view what $30 wow son of a [ __ ] that's quite a lot they're taking a big gamble aren't they they really are and and the thing is I guess that's probably the average price they were expecting a family to pay you know three cinema tickets you know a mom and two kids or a mom dad and a kid whatever but that's odd though that they would just stack the price like that as I mean when you used to hire a VHS you didn't have to tell them how many people were going to watch it and they just got out the calculator extra yeah Y and then they come around and check what the [ __ ] this guy doing here Billy if you're going to stay here and watch this
$10 I kind of do hope that it works though yes except the problem is I it's not like I can invite a bunch of people around to my house right now like safely cuz the whole point is it's so I mean oh I I paid more than $30 for me Hann to go to mov but we only get the we spend a fortune to go into the smaller Cinema so we don't have to sit with people so watching this at home with Hannah I have no problem with oh you know what you're right and I'm prepared to pay that I just also remembered I'll be in Australia in a couple of weeks where movie tickets are like $1 15 [ __ ] dollars on the how much are they there oh the same as they are there man oh okay all right yeah I think it's like uh on the cheap days I think it's like8 $9
here yeah yeah yeah like eight bucks off peak and you know 10 I mean not that I not that I go anymore but well I might go to see tenet and uh I would like to but I'm not probably not going to trying to see I just went I was getting idea of prices so I could let you know how much they cost so dendi is adult $19.50 1950 yeah no I have just seen that they're playing Star Wars at the moment so I may need to go I can go see Interstellar they're playing that right now yeah Interstellar Interstellar is the second highest rating film in China right now which I think means the world because they're all they're the only ones whose Cinemas are all open man this list of now showing is wild it's got [ __ ] The Empire Strikes Back at the top MH and then you've got
[ __ ] Wonder Woman's back uh Interstellar The Dark Knight Rises Batman Begins JJ abrs Star Trek Jurassic Park Braveheart Goonies oh what Goonies grins well I didn't see Goonies at the cinema I did see Jurassic Park at the cinema and and the reason was the day it came out uh it was 1992 I believe and I was 12 years old and it was that was the last year my parents were still married and it was their wedding anniversary and I convinced them that they wanted to go and see Jurassic Park for their anniversary and also that they wanted to take me yeah yeah I hope that didn't contribute to their divorce I was going to say now that I've stacked all the facts like that yeah when I go to the coming soon
tab for the theater there's nothing a which is coming soon what do we have coming soon we have well Star Wars that they're going to release that next week Pretty Woman Pretty Woman movies I watched Pretty Woman on Netflix a couple of months ago and that movie Stacks up that is a solid movie this is like back in the ' 80s and 90s where Hollywood smart Hollywood writers would write good original films and Hollywood would make them into movies you know you know what they're showing and I'm almost kind of interested to go see this at the theater Sunset Boulevard oh it's a great movie you should see it at the cinema that' be great I can't imagine this is going to be packed out so maybe I I guarantee you it won't be man [ __ ] yeah I hope so but I know I'm going to pay the extra money to go
to the premier premium Cinema so just in case Matt sunet buide is the quintessential movie about everything wrong with Hollywood movies sure and it was made when Hollywood had only existed for 15 or 20 years they already knew yeah they really did they really did yeah there is a movie that we've all seen many many times that we've all misunderstood but perhaps this is a discussion to have in the Afterparty what do you think yeah yes or potentially not at all but yeah cuz stay tuned for the Afterparty to find out what the Matrix was really about I watched a movie uh last night actually that was really good I forget how we got this recommendation Jenna got a recommendation on this from from some somewhere from some service that said if
you like this you might like this it's a movie called searching which I had not heard of uh and it stars uh John Cho is that his name mhm joh show you know half of how Kuma right yes y as a father whose daughter goes missing mhm and the whole film is from the like it's screen recording of computers oh interesting okay and at first I was like well this is kind of interesting but I feel like they've kind of handcuffed themselves here but no no it's really good really and they do have to take they take a few Liberties but it's not not not that many it's uh it's really well done so he basically like I don't want to I'm not going to spoil anything because it is it is literally a mystery so his daughter
goes missing and he then has to use he he Googling things to try and find out where she's gone he goes on her computer he's going through her Facebook and her email and like her venmo account which is like how you pay each other money here and stuff like that all this stuff to try and figure out where it is and you see him on [ __ ] FaceTime calling people calling on friends going when was the last time you saw my daughter like it was really good so there's no shots that are just like a movie camera is filming an actor there's they they cheat a little bit in that you'll see like he's watching the news reports back on YouTube or whatever so you get you kind of do get to see that but within the context of him watching a news report later no I think that still counts I I
think yeah that's good that's interesting I think I remember when this came out at Sundance maybe two or three years ago and I thought it looked interesting but I I never saw yeah okay a TR like the the sound of it sounds good but yeah it does also sound like something that they could just miss the point of completely point just making it work cuz I've seen some games try and do this as well and they have not done well like her story and all that oh like the uh there was one called war games oh okay as well there one called little lies or something like that that I picked up as well that was similar to similar premise because there are even bits in this where and I was getting frustrated because I'm like this better not go anywhere because he gets he he
doesn't know a lot about computers and he's and he's like he kind of cuz he's a desperate he gets caught in these [ __ ] like rat holes that don't mean anything like not doesn't go on about it but it was kind of very convincing cuz I was like well that's not what that means and then it and then they're like oh that is the case yeah okay yeah he just doesn't understand how things work like he get he's like [ __ ] I found a clue and I'm like oh no that's just this and then he's but he's like [ __ ] harassing people about it and stuff and then it turns out no no it's nothing it's good okay that's great yeah I will watch this it sounds great where did you see it it's not uh it was on Stars I think here but I think it uh yeah I'm not sure that means if it's on stars there might means
we might have it on stand here okay okay yeah cuz all the St stuff goes together yeah they just ched I've got it on Stephan ovich it's the Russian version got possibly Greek I don't I don't know I watched some stuff for this week I watched Umbrella Academy Season 2 Hey Now Matt I like I liked season one and when when you told me that season two was worth watching I thought yeah I'll dive in uh liked it even better than season one this is this is as good as television can get a lot should I try season one Luke cuz I watched the first episode and it just didn't really good Luke promise me one thing do not do anything else while you're watching it just watch it can I masturbate you can masturbate you can eat and drink but you can't play
a video game or be watching another show you can masturbate but you have to tell us who it was that inspired you to do it just cuz I'm curious I mean there's a lot of a lot of Attractive people yeah exactly I'm I want know who it was very attractive yeah yeah you know somehow they're more attractive in season 2 and there's even an a bit in like the second or third last episode where one of them goes do we all just get sexier yeah that be class I think he's [ __ ] great yeah they're all really good characters that's why did you ever watch um Misfits the British no I you were going to say that you got to watch that mat yeah Jenna watched it and um yeah and I know that he was in it because I saw of it he's very good the premise is almost
comparable in that it's regular people with superpowers yeah yeah but it's very good Matt there's four seasons but it changes drastically after the second so it's kind of two couplets so only take my advice and only watch the first two seasons okay it changes very dramatically after that uh but Luke this is great you got to watch it you got to and I think you'd really like it yeah something I tried when it first came out know it's clever and it you know like it's sets itself up with you something you need to pay attention to it's kind of like I mean you've got to suspend disbelief quite a bit cuz it's it's very comic bookie but it's clever like within the confines of its own story it's clever like the way it plays with time and space and things like that it's good
but you you hit the nail in the head mat because it is it is very camp and it's very over the top and you do have to just decide before you're going to watch it I'll accept everything I see and I'll just go with it because if you start going well come on then yeah yeah you you you might not buy in if you buy in yeah yeah I think we need people need to do that with a lot of movies though well here's another one here's another one and I I commented on this podcast a few months ago that I'd started watching Watchman the HBO oh yeah the TV and I didn't that I didn't like it I watched the first episode but then it got nominated for it got nominated for 26 emys this week huh and so I was like have I missed something do I to go back and so I bad it was just like I just
didn't think anything of it really forgot about it yeah I forgot about it how many did you watch how many episodes you watch just the first episode just oh I don't want to spoil anything just and even that moment at the end I was like oh okay that's kind of interesting yeah that's my exact first impression as well this morning I put it on again and I'm now three episodes from the end and actually I'm watching the first episode again going this is really good why did I think this wasn't good and I thought maybe goes off the rails and then by the end of the episode I'm like it doesn't go off the rails you just have to you just have to buy in you just have to really Buy in but the the more they build it too the more they layer in
things that are interesting and I think correct me if I'm wrong but in the first episode doesn't even feature Jeremy irion's character of Aussie mandas I think it must because well either either it does unless if it do than I thought I did yeah yeah there's a scene of him eating I in the first episode then I might have watch exra one you're right it might only be that but that subplot escalates into ridiculous levels and um okay that I really appreciate and you know it's thematically similar to the second season of Umbrella Academy which I finished last night yeah because they got a lot of the you know the the racial stuff set back yeah they've added a lot of that and there's entire episode set in the 60s yes in this as well but
what's really interesting is that it does have that racial element that wasn't necessarily I didn't read into the original Watchman any of that so I think that's just layering in some Modern context for it which is fine except that this came out like a year ago yep and the protagonists are cops and the whole thing is that cops do a very difficult job and they need to hide their identity because criminals are just yeah yeah kill him yeah and it's it's like you wouldn't have done it's great but you wouldn't have done it like that if you'd started making it in the last six months yeah you yeah sure which is just very interesting cultural context to watch it in now now I feel feel like I got to watch it again I think if you've got the time to just give it one
more go mhm cuz it's only nine EPs and it's called a miniseries online too which I think means we could have yeah we could have just seen the back of his head and he takes the helmet off and the robot goes M and he's like you're quite handsome Pedro Pascal I do I do remember that episode where he does take his helmet off when he's watching the kids not 5 minutes earlier he said if anyone sees my face I have to leave the order and I can never go back my face I've got to chop it off that was my worst episode actually out of the whole series that was the worst and it had some cool bits in it cuz I think that was the one with the 880 at the end but um which can react as well which you know I don't know sure it was
a reactionary it's an animal Walker but yeah oh I don't want to step in the water yeah oh it's cold season two's coming and once season two comes along Disney plus will get more of my money I've just stayed subscribed to it not a day before though I actually I think about just resubscribing because I do just want to watch Mandalorian again I haven't watched anything on there in a while so maybe I'll cancel it but we'll see they haven't added a lot of stuff I think that I'm aware of and it's not really a channel for us really though yeah a lot of the older stuff I'm not that interested in like all the old Disney movies and stuff like that I know Jenna's watched a bunch of them but yeah
they the Disney Channel was kids and we did not so I don't have the Nostalgia for that stuff yeah no we had the movies but that was it we have all of the TV movies and five will goes wor yeah yeah An American Tale I was telling H about that the other day cuz she was I can't remember how it came up but I'm like no no no there's a there's an old animation it's produced by Steven Spielberg and it's about Jewish mice that migrate to America and she's like you're lying I'm like no there is it's true it's kids movie and it's got songs she's like you are [ __ ] making this up somewh out there yeah and she's like oh do they wear puffy pants and the little Jewish caps and I'm like yes do Revival yeah yep yeah got to watch
that again I know I down I downloaded I've got it sitting there just to prove it look yeah I want I want to I I want to see it again uh I'm excited because uh this week actually tomorrow so by the time you hear this it will have already happened so I can't let I can't let you know in advance listeners I'm sorry but the second night City wire for uh cyber Punk 2077 I've got to catch up live streaming tomorrow the last one was really interesting and fun so uh be checking it out it's good stuff I I want to watch it but also I know I'm not going to oh because what time is it where you are some ridiculous time I don't think he means that it's not even it's not even time I just I don't want to I don't like seeing gameplay like this for a story driven game L hates
game oh okay hates it I like to just play through myself and too far away yeah just fly through to get achievements y like trying to play [ __ ] Diablo I with Dave and I was like oh I remember that he was just like [ __ ] skipping all the dialogue and I'm like okay we're not playing this game ever again together character listen character literally just told you to stay and listen Okay what I I remember that day because you I think Matt you and me this is our first time playing through it yes David already played through and finished it so he just Y what what's happening yeah why are we doing this don't worry about it just click on stuff he is the worst person to play games so yeah this is it uh it's at
lunchtime tomorrow which is perfect because I can just sit and eat lunch and watch have lunch and watch some beautiful gameplay yep and uh I'm hoping to see some of our friends from city project right on there thought you were going to say you were hoping to see some tits because we've been promised this game has a lot of tits I well it's on Twitch so I think they probably have to they hold they're holding those back for the release wink well I hope you see tits just in your dayto life something yeah I mean I could just Google pictures of tits while while I've got the stream going perhaps I'm doing it right now uh Luke last week oh does say Luke looking at tit looking at tits tit The Feathered variety though he's a bird watcher yeah yes right last week Luke I
started playing Fallout 76 reported that I was enjoying you said see if you still like it in two weeks it's been one week still playing it still enjoying it I think this might be one of those games though that I put on when I want to just kill an hour or two rather than and you can with this one yeah I think this will maybe be my Conan replacement rather than something I obsessively play every day you know other Fallout games you really need to set time aside because you just get down rabbit holes but this one you can just log off come back cuz the story is not really there as such yeah and this is a kind of there is a story but yeah if I don't want to play in depth and I just kind of want to bum around and find ammo for half an hour then I can you know yeah okay uh but I
do I'm enjoying it I'm enjoying I tried it out I don't think we talked about this on the show I tried it out and I was enjoying it actually it was quite fun but then it glitched out on me and I kind of just got knocked right out of it and I was like oh I got I can go do something else for a bit I had to quit the game so I was like ah I'll just come back to it and I didn't come back to it right yeah it glitched I went to use a campfire mhm and the HUD disappeared like it was going to go into campfire doing stuff mode but then it just never did I've had that happen a few times so I was just walking around with no HUD and and not being able to interact with anything I haven't had that but I have had one of two other little little hiccups yeah I tell you though speaking
of campfires though the survival aspect in this game is challenging like [ __ ] you drink water constantly need to eat and drink yeah yeah and it's difficult cuz everything's poisonous yeah it's not like one the games where I've just in I've just installed a water purifier in my Hut so I love the fact you have a heart I have a campfire next to where I started a game and that's it anytime sees me play games like this she's like you know you're playing Barbies right you know you're in the Barbie dream house right now you're dress him up you're changing his hair you're building a little house for him I I love that [ __ ] I was curious how the multiplayer stuff works right because I'm walking around and I can see on the map there are people but I mean obviously nobody I
know as far as I can tell just random people so how do I get to a to play with you how does that happen do we know uh we just send in an invite and I and it just like teleports me into your world sort of thing every time you join you're different Ser right you're not necessarily on the same server each time and I only know this because at one point I booted up the game and it was like Yeah someone else has their house where your house is that's what I was about to ask what happens if I buil my house the same place your house is just give you warning you the option to put your Camp back in your pocket or for them to keep looking for another server okay y uh CU that but I would like to play with you guys cuz I need to kill you I need to kill you both 20 times
shut up but yeah I'm down for that I'm down for getting getting involved cuz I've played like in addition to just the the story and you know the side missions and stuff there are events that happen that happen involving whoever just happens to be around at that time so I have teamed up with strangers to uh fight small battles and skirmishes and things and then shared in the spoils and then you just kind of wave goodbye and never see them again that's how that's how things are in the future yeah one thing that's really changed with these types of games out you don't talk to each other anymore I remember like playing like Halo and stuff and you actually just start chatting to people in the game I'm talking like back on
Halo 2 days now my mic's never on and I don't hear people either exactly scre AB anybody there was this one guy that kept following me around for a bit and I was like what this [ __ ] guy doing then I thought it's probably a kid and he probably doesn't know how to play and he was probably like oh maybe this guy will show me how to play you know what I mean but I'm like [ __ ] off is that always a rapist yeah no it was both Matt he was a little kid and he raped me child rapist yeah he was a child rapist child predator yeah um yeah okay I got to get back into this and play it a bit it's pretty good M it's I don't even have a house I've never built haven't buil built anything yeah yeah ex yeah I need to murder you 20 times and then revive you 20 times
okay that's fine Matt before you even attempt to build a house get as much wood as you can trust me just get wood I found some I guess I got get find more find as much as you can if you start building without enough wood you will be very frustrated all right mhm all right maybe I'll try and play it today you should and you know I'll go back into it too but I'm also picked up today Assassin's Creed Odyssey Assassin's Creed dick climber yeah dick climber dick climber special edition I've was curious about this game since it came out I was curious about Origins when it came out too because yeah um just of the historical period you know Origins is ancient Egypt and odyssey is ancient Greece not that is a real thing but conceptually it's ancient Greece and uh I was interested to play
it but you know I've historically not had a great rapport with the Assassin's Creed games but I decided that my love of hop lights trumps that and so I'm I'm giving it a go Ubisoft knew you'd feel that way yeah they did did H yeah honestly people say they're sick of him but they haven't seen these [ __ ] sexy little hop lights we got here you haven't seen a hoplight climb a huge marble dick so Odyssey was actually the first Assassin's Creed game I ever finished 100% like got all the achievements for really and it was cuz it was do you get an achievement for climbing the dick no you don't well I mean in your heart you do yeah not not on Xbox but I think a lot of people they get to the dick they
see it they climb and then they take a photo with your hosts Luke yeah a lot of people they see they get to the dick they they climb it and then they take a photo so is it good Dan have you played it no because it [ __ ] hours to download Once I bought it so I was I was more if I think about more interested in orig even though I've heard that it's not great but I know it's only because you know I listen to video game soundtracks and I really love the Origins soundtrack and so I just kind of want to play the game that goes with it but is Egyptian is it just it's more like um I mean Walk Like
an Egyptian by Kylie Mano by the B feel it has that feel um but it's not does it like well yeah it's got that kind of yeah e Egyptian kind of feel but it's also like a synth you know kind of string hybrid kind of score really it's good that's the other thing we didn't the one thing I don't like about that game is the attacking buttons oh so for hacken slash you normally hit X these days M unless the new Assassin's Creeds it's um right bumper and right trigger oh okay that's all right cuz that's con that's how you attacking con so I'm I'm used to it I don't know just for those games I'm used to X that's interesting oh man you know what I keep doing in Fallout I keep in Conan the map is
heading to the side on the the tead but yeah mhm that is use your [ __ ] stim pack in Fallout so you're very stim packs are a 100 caps they are so it's not like the other Fallout games where you just find them everywhere and they're cheap you got to save up perk you can water them down at a craft station so they last longer you should but I keep wasting them by accidentally the map get some double-sided tape and stick a thumbtack on the on that side of the d-pad you can get a there is a one of the perks you can get with the trading cards which I still think is a great way to do the perks you can get one where you find more stim packs right yeah yeah I know I noticed there was one because you can choose one at the beginning
there was one that you heal more with healing stuff yeah I don't remember which but that's interesting too because you choose them but then it's also you can play them in different combinations to increase skills at different times yeah so if you get up to a point where you need more stealth or more hacking or more lockpicking you can actually go and just rearrange yeah you need to pick a lock that's above your skill you can take out some skills that you don't currently use and you can just stack your lock picking skills it's really good kind of like um disc goian with the clothes you just swap stuff out yeah oh don't say now see now now I've mentioned that named The Forbidden game Voldemort I got I subscribed to the
Disco elium um subreddit right and um there's one on there just now just before this podcast I was reading through it and uh one guy the latest post is somebody goes when they do a sequel they should call instead of calling It Disco elium 2 they should call It Disco to leum and I'm like I don't even get that don't even is that a pun I don't even understand that yeah why why would they call I don't know yeah exactly I mean I guess they could if they wanted to yeah sure not yourself out yeah a what a great game I know Luke a it's not on Xbox when's it out on Xbox you will play when it's out on Xbox so I will but I don't know they've been quiet I think the pandemic has sort of slowed down yeah not the pandemic has slowed down the work they're doing during the
Pand if I go out and drive around right now certainly seems like the pandemic just disappeared so everything's fine it's the weekend yeah I went to mall to to discover there apparently wasn't a pandemic I'll tell you this though guys six months of not having any shops open right yeah yeah and in the last three weeks now that everything's back open again I've gone out three separate times without my wallet no I forget things the thing is because I don't go anywhere I constantly forget my mask yeah like literally yesterday we went to go the just up to the liquor store got like halfway there and I was like turn around don't have it cuz I just I I forget yeah it's just the only time I've
left the house in six months I'm walking Charlie and I take the bare minimum with me when I walk Charlie you know so I twice before once with once we were out to dinner once with something else and then today I went to the mall I went and did my grocery shopping I got to the end I stacked everything in the bags and then realized my wallet you need one of those rings that Luke has my magic ring but in Australia now I cuz my driver's license is now on my phone cuz I'm in New South Wales so I do not have to take a wallet with me anymore cuz I can just tap for everything and yeah that's it what else do you need yeah way for pay for things ID actually I'm legally required to car my ID because South Wales too Matt but yeah it's on my phone point no I can be deported if I
don't have my um green card on me oh [ __ ] yeah I mean I'm not sure they would but they could in Singapore everyone has this thing called the N which is the national something something and it it tells you basically everything about you whether you're a citizen a short-term resident a long-term resident or you can't go anywhere anything in between yeah and actually um we we had a we had an event here uh recently my wedding and um yes congratulations again yeah oh yes and um you needed a witness that had known you for x amount of years and because I'm an expert here there's not many people that are there so um Mr Benny Davis volunteered to come along I was I was about to say yeah and help me out with that but only to discover he's
here on a dependency Visa cuz his wife has a job here and he doesn't he's a gentleman of oh I'm being fous he's a stay-at home Dad but um that's my dream job yeah yeah oh he's [ __ ] embraced it man and he he's it's your dream job as long as you can hire a nanny as well yeah yeah oh no no to be fair fair Ben does have a a a housekeeper he does I want a nanny I want a cook I want a cleaner and I also want no children just look after cats mhm all right got cats as well actually um but they told me that his ID did not give give him enough status to to be a witness yeah although in in the end we we sorted it out but uh okay they there's like a hierarchy of how they look at your IDs here as well
interesting H we've got some followup actually Dr disrespect is back oh I'm still annoyed at this story that it's still a story We Know nothing about he the other day basically he's just popped back up on he's popped up on Instagram and then and then YouTube and so he's just started streaming on YouTube and I guess everybody was thinking oh okay we're going to get an explanation here and he uh he said this is a quote from him during the stream in regards to the ban there's a lot of people who want to know what happened guess what I want you to look me in my [ __ ] eyes when I say this I really want you to look in my eyes when I say this we still have no idea we have no idea and you're thinking yeah right dude I'm not buying that one bunch of phonies
oh we have no idea I'm telling you this right now we didn't do anything wrong I got no [ __ ] idea so all right okay all right what is it just tell me please twitch yeah well that's basically what everyone in the chat was saying [ __ ] tell us what happened [ __ ] no and they're like none of your [ __ ] business yeah but it is they're like everyone's gotten to the point now with the internet and social media where everyone thinks they're entitled to know everything about everyone but well here's the we think they've been Banning a lot of people lately due to sexual harassment yeah yeah like and that's they're being they're being public about that stuff turns out you're not allow to do that anymore no but they usually when they
keep quiet about that if they're going to do that they make they make an example and they say this is not seem like that's what happened it doesn't I mean what else did he get up to in that E3 bathroom that's the question I doubt has to do with the b i joking I'm joking don't sue me doctor I'm sorry Dr D he's not going to sue you m he doesn't need money he has got PL cash good point well no I don't think he he didn't get the money he I don't think he got the pay out from twitch so he's not like ninja and stuff who got paid a fortune that's probably why he's not saying anything that's probably not why that's probably his lawyers are trying to sort it out if he says something it could jeopardize his chances of getting some
money yeah probably and honestly what I think it may be is just that he sort of let threatened to go over to mixar when he was negotiating his twitch contract so they bumped it up a bit and then yeah okay maybe you should do that as well Luke maybe you should play a bit of Hardball with him just threaten to go over you know it's aat you should threaten to go leave us for a different podcast yeah yeah listeners get on the patreon he's going to go look at him he's [ __ ] serious Matt I heard him as a guest on another [ __ ] podcast some movie review podcast I listened to it I was I was appalled I couldn't believe it I felt betrayed I do the occasional guest appearance on podcast it was very it was very it was very interesting and it was it was good you to listen to it too L
you want to plug ah yes so that is for my friend's podcast neron it's nerd and Amazon put together yeah cuz there's a bunch of badass women who talk about uh nerdy stuff yes and I like the thing that they do on these podcast they they will look at the original movie and then watch the Remake and then sort of compare them cool it used to be a podcast that did that with horror movies that I quite enjoyed actually it was your podcast Matt oh oh oh oh Nick comic I'm I'm not familiar with it remember yeah yeah I do yeah I used to give like a backstory and all yeah You' reminded me you've reminded me yeah yeah good point good point that was great because I I would
always find out what you were going to do and then I would watch all the movies you were going to talk about and uh that was fun I really wish you would keep doing that man I know I know it gave so much time to do a researched podcast so much more time involved than something like this right particularly the ones where you got to read a book like the Mothman Prophecies I had to read that [ __ ] god awful book by that idiot about aliens and The Moth Man and oh it's oh speaking of reading books I finished the Ken Ken Katz the making Mur book uh it it was good it was interesting he um he addresses his you know making a murderer they point out that he was texting that um oh my God victim yeah yeah yeah uh he talks about that about how he was on um a bunch of
prescription medication and dealing with a sex addiction and he the way he tells it I mean come on he was he's da this [ __ ] woman whose boyfriend beat the [ __ ] out comes in and he's interviewing her for the case and he he said he was on a bunch of meds and he was he was in a really narcissistic State and he's like she's coming on to me in this [ __ ] and then he's like you know what I'm going to do I'm going to text her 30 times over the next two days oh no and then she's God yeah and then she responded with like you know one word sentences every now and then and he was like she's into it she's into it but uh I don't know he makes a pretty compelling case for the fact that I I think that uh I mean we have to go into it too much we talked about already but
I I think I think it's very unlikely that the police set Steven Avery up I think if if if he's not guilty it must have been someone else because you've got to the two cops that they keep accusing of everything had no we've talked about this they had no stake in the game like what the [ __ ] do they care if he gets paid out like by the county nothing to do with them why would they risk jail time to [ __ ] hide a dead body in his [ __ ] burn pit because it couldn't she couldn't have already have been burnt because then they wouldn't know it was her mhm so that wouldn't work so they must have burnt her body in order for this to happen so not feasible as I said if they really wanted to get out of the lawsuit type of thing they
could have very easily just said he's coming at us and we shot him in self-defense but that's that's my point is that those people that we're talking about had nothing to do with the lawsuit it's not their money why the [ __ ] would they bother yeah but even if they were thinking it was or want their name that's the better way to do it than to try and frame someone I think anyway I will admit there are things that are suspicious about the whole thing and it's I mean it's possible he didn't do it I guess but it just seems very unlikely that he didn't yeah and I think the the Shadow of Doubt that's cast over it is just because like the da is one of the most uncharismatic people you could possibly imagine y yeah did a really shitty job it looks suspicious as a
result exactly exactly and Steven Avery is like a slimy little [ __ ] at best you know what I mean like don't they just kind the kind of person that I can re I mean and if he had lived near us where we grew up back in the day like he wouldn't have been out of place right and and those people they will latch on to a lie and just [ __ ] ride it forever you know what I mean like mhm yeah he's the guy now who just has to prove his innocence you know yeah burning bodies and yeah I want to know Matt is there an audible version of this where he reads his own book because his voice I can only imagine wait audible while you look for that I'm just going to plug Audible for
a sec because okay I think everyone should download and listen to the Sandman by NE G that's just come out got to do that it's yeah it's it's like 15 hours long I've got about 3 hours to go it's performed James makoy plays Morpheus it's got a whole bunch of other Taran Edon and all all these other really great actors um and it's narrated the actual script is is read by Neil G himself and it's fantastic yeah really really great oh my I probably won't not because I don't want too but just because I I don't know I have a ton of audio books they're waiting for me but I just watch movies you don't this is not calling this an audio book though is is a misnomer it it's like more like a radio dramatization type of thing yeah
yeah yeah it's it's and the oh [ __ ] the music is amazing it's like you're watching a movie and you've just you're only listening to the sound like it's really beautifully produced there's a neverware one they did that I have as well um is there I love neverware it's got like James makoy again and and um oh and Anthony head is in there it's got some good people in it I love neverware I love neverware so much that I even really like the BBC show they did in the '90s which was garbage but yeah I just ate that [ __ ] up it you can get Avery on Audible is not narrated by Kratz though it's narrated by someone else that's a shame I don't know if he does like an impression of Ken Katz oh I hope soor but
uh probably not and then I texted her 30 times the TW the you know the text that he sent was I'm going to paraphrase it the one that everyone latched on to was um I'm the district attorney I've got the $350,000 home um I've got the big salary you're the sexy nymph but I'm the prize that's what he texted who had come in like cuz her boyfriend had beaten her and he was supposed to be [ __ ] inv she needed the police to [ __ ] help her [ __ ] Matt have you watched that little clip on YouTube of that standup comedian doing um that bit about Hamilton I haven't I don't think I've seen it oh really oh sorry I think there was a lag and I thought you were saying if I have seen it I think it might have what's
what's it about she no she's talking about Hamilton and um the scene where where his wife's away and there's a woman who needs money and then he ends up [ __ ] her for months and months um there's a stand upian who who does a bit about that and she's she's like um you know like he's like how am I going to say no to this he's like [ __ ] she didn't ask you a question yeah just don't do it going to say no she's in trouble all you have to do right now is not [ __ ] her how hard is it oops I flipped that's all for this week thank you for listening and we hope you enjoyed the show if you enjoyed it then please subscribe and items to receive episodes automatically we'll see you next time
