[Music] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy when did it become the next big thing to be like 120 frames per second I I'm sort of missed it and I thought I don't know why we did such a big jump from 60 to 120 why didn't we go to like 80 or something just go off like little bits ask Peter Jackson man yeah I think they've got to be multiples of things I think that's why like you've got to go 30 to 60 to 120 to 240 will be next how I how fast can our eyes actually see oh uh I don't know yeah I'm pretty sure

it's not 120 frames per second I think it's less I'll tell you what I've got I don't have a whole lot of experience with this but my monitor supports 120 and when I M got it I did try putting some games in it and then back to 60 and I could tell the difference you could yeah okay maybe it's just me then like it uh for example it was Divinity original sin I was playing and if I put it in 120 and I like spin the camera around it was very smooth and then if I put it back into 60 I could notice the jumps SP the camera maybe is a thing oh it definitely is I'm I'm happy to play video games at 120 but I will not watch watch a film at that or any other frame rate variable sure yeah it looks odd but also but going back to like quality of film though like it's sort of

funny like everyone's like 4K 8K stand big thing I remember when I used to watch like a downloaded movie that 700 Mig that was fine yeah well I tell you fine to me VCR was not 4K I'll tell you that we watch no that's what we watched everything on back when we were kids M when we went to DVD I thought could not get better than that yeah I was like oh remember the [ __ ] aliens came out on DVD and we were like oh my God you can tell the guns are made of wood a piece of [ __ ] that's right I can see all the detail I just I'm just one of these people don't see why we have to keep sort of going better and better it looks fine way it is now I can't I can't tell differ why does Humanity have to keep improving I'm sick of it but sometimes I

think we're improving just for the sake of saying we're improving [ __ ] let's build everything out of [Laughter] stone movies how about plays I don't mind the occasional play yeah very occas musical Billy Shakespeare not a fan of Shakespeare no overrated no very very overrated who's your favorite of the of the great or of the who who's your favorite I shouldn't restrict you who's your favorite my favorite I want to see how many playwrights Luke can name yeah who's your favorite playright uh's Big Willie what's your favorite play who wrote it and that'll be your answer I guess wait I know what his favorite play is his favorite play is the Book of Mormon no

it's not I've just seen that a few times I've just managed to see that like three or four times so Matt Stone and Trey Parker are your favorite play [Laughter] rights I don't know I quite like Wicked okay mhm all right you know waitress no wicked witch to the West I I don't know who' writes what what does it matter who writes it what does it matter they got paid for their job they're happy don't play just come into existence why are we worrying about who made them put actors on stage get them to say stuff yeah that's how I thought films were made when I was very little people got together all right turn the camera on let's make a [ __ ] movie about something to be to be fair most of our early films were that so yes they

all turned out fine that's why we got so many [Laughter] awards no I don't know I don't think the playwright's that upset that I don't know their name I could tell you now William Shakespeare is not upset that you don't know his well you do know his name but okay not his name but we who we don't actually know what he wrote and what was other people wrote oh that's true we we have a pretty good idea actually no cuz even some of it now they come come out like this was just no this just someone wrote that copied his play there were a lot of copycats but actually if you if you go to Wikipedia and you individually start typing in the names of each of Shakespeare's plays individually it will tell you the ones that are William Shakespeare and

Christopher Marlo for example it's it's pretty it's pretty well known now because scholarship how many William Shakespeare plays can Luke name oh okay um the easy ones first and and to be fair I'm not saying I'm a [ __ ] expert I can't I'm not going to get that many either I'm just curious how many Romeo and Juliet yeah mhm The Tempest yeah okay yeah Shak Shakespeare [ __ ] storm you mean exactly exactly that's the only reason I know that is because I like Goin um I think I might be out already no I know more you do you do know is there like a King Henry one or something M um yeah I'm going to give you that no numbers necessary we'll go with Henry you're have Henry yep the Henry series Henry he did he did a yeah he did a few histories so just rattle off some other

writing I think that's how it works like we do enough of these podcasts some of them are going to be good not this one though I one probably not probably not I I get a lot of compliments on last week's Afterparty and uh last week's Afterparty was some of the best work we've done in recent history so yeah obviously we put it behind a pay wall and no one can hear it so go to anyone can hear it anyone can hear it you got to pay you got to pay for that quality content just people kept messaging me and saying oh man that was great I like oh cool thanks were they had they paid for it I don't know how else they would have message you or are they sharing it around that's a good question I mean I could pirate copies of the multiple nerdgasm after party I mean

honestly if if that's something people want to do that's great yeah you know I agree if people are that desperate for it and they can't afford it go for it it's what's been happening this week it's not been a huge news week I don't think this week I don't know Matt this is a bit of Nick Cage news oh Jesus well Nick Cage walked into the room and he asked of his manager is there any Nick Cage news Nick Cage's manager turned to Nick Cage and said of course there's Nick Cage news Nick Cage is the biggest movie star in the whole wide world and things are only going to get bigger now take a look at this script right here it's about a man made of wicker go on Nick Cage what's he up to he's getting married well he got married I didn't know he

think you're right L I think they rarely shoot him from the side yeah I'm cuz I cannot he looks nothing like Nicholas Cage and I know it's him cuz I saw a picture of him a little further up but on but side profile it's not him I'm not used to seeing the side to be John Travolta for all I know yeah face off don't even don't even talk that movie to me no interest this this his first public relationship since he broke up with a girl that he was married to for 4 days in March 2019 what a life I mean for starters that was only two years ago hang on this arum this this this article is confusing me because now it's saying he married someone else in 2004 oh that's because my I'm an idiot and I

he I mean I mean I I I famously don't like the man's acting but I will watch that for sure 100% watch that acting is being generous Dan it's just Nicholas Cage doing his thing he's just a nothing that I've seen yeah I mean luk sometimes I think you don't like movies I I like the same movie I've seen 20 times yeah Spies Like Us yeah yeah you like Spies Like Us yeah is there another movie that you like one one more perhaps um this Star Wars CL like us uh the vacation movies mhm yeah um just one or two more have you liked a recent movie uh I'm going to the movies next week to see something that I might like what are you going to see that

Mortal Combat oh okay I'm not gonna like this you can't the original such a great movie they can't REM they can't do it again I just forget about the sequel the first movie is great I agree I mean I I don't think it's unbe I don't think it's the kind of movie where I'm they're never going to top that I would not personally The Citizen Cane of of video game adaptation martial arts SKS but hey whatever I I got to say this new trailer looks pretty good yeah oh I agree it's not going to have the song though it's not going to have the song it is going to have the song it is apparently it is yeah wow that that said that Ben walfish is doing the score said do you want me to use the the song and

the director's like sure give it a go and then he sent some stuff over and the director's like this is [ __ ] sick all right that's great so as I understand it the song is incorporated okay well now I'm really excited that movie had a great sound oh yeah yeah yeah I I have that soundtrack actually in my um iTunes match because I don't know that it's actually available anywhere but I had it on CD back in the day so it's now so did I in in my library and it was sort of like nothing else that we actually listen to back then no it's true but we USP yeah oh yeah cuz you could put that on and you know everybody's going to react in some way positive or negative you get a reaction yeah everyone will react going to see

that we've got yeah movies are starting to come out again but I'm also starting to think we don't need movies anymore well the Alamo Draft House certainly agrees with you because they've filed for bankruptcy yeah now that doesn't mean they're out of business they filed for bankruptcy and they've been taken over by some kind of financial institution who may just downsize um I think they I think they said they're closing two of them so that's a shame Al heard I've never been but I've heard it is a great place to go see movies it is it's fantastic my favorite Cinema that I've been to just cuz they like respect the the film and it's like you've just got to shut up and watch the movie like they literally kick you out if you turn your

phone on yeah but they also will bring you dinner yep yeah y saw JoJo rabbit there last most most recently I actually just watched that the other day oh did you what did you think I didn't mind it okay good okay I'll never watch it again I got a bit sad yeah yeah yeah yeah it's quite a sad movie yeah yeah when when he kicks Hitler out the window it's really sad yeah it is sad what happened to Hitler but when he's just hugging hugging her legs yeah yeah it's a the the thing so good because it's [ __ ] silly as hell but it still gets you yeah well it's sort of silly as hell but then

in the background it's sort of like what people were actually going through like absolutely dead serious themes but you're having a laugh yeah Luke have you seen Life is Beautiful by Roberto bini no that that is the same it's whacky comedy and then Nazis and Jews put that on your list yeah cuz he they I'd love you to report back on what you thought of that but he wants his little daughter to not know what's going on so he tells her that they're at a theme park and it's a joke and it's it's good it's very very good but yeah watch it all right maybe I'll watch it maybe I'm not promising anything it's in Italian you'll have to read oh then that's not going to happen unless it's on top I'm not reading there's a lot of physical comedy

in it so you know that's true you don't have to read the whole time he's incredible I do have some good I do have some good news about the Ghostbusters movie go on oh Lego has sent me the replacement parts so I can finish building the car that's great oh so they can finish I was like what has this got to do with the [ __ ] movie well now they can shoot the rest of the movie yeah I can finish putting the car together and then they can finish got some good news for you Bill maray I don't know that he's in this movie oh I hope he is oh good he should be no I hope he is the movie's good there's also that last one was what did you watch it I

tried it was just a bad movie and cuz he didn't know where it sort of sat I turned it off it wasn't a reboot wasn't a remake it just I didn't even try any of the original car in that uh in 2016 yeah oh yeah yeah yeah all of them oh Bill Murray's definitely I think Bill Murray Dan shop as well yeah Bill Murray's in there definitely Dan right yeah that's true um it's it's not not my not my style of humor I couldn't I really I found it very no that's uh that kind of impro Saturday night lifestyle humor just yeah don't stop talking just keep [ __ ] talking and even if it's just you know just make the crew laugh yes I'm sure it'll be funny out of context later yeah not for me I don't always feel that way it's

just I I meliss McCarthy I can't stand her oh God she's in the new Thor oh is she really yeah she's I think only a cameo I mean this is not really a spoiler I think she she plays you know how they have that theater troop that's performing the the previous movies with Matt you know Matt Damon plays um he thought no he's Odin M no he's Loki Matt was Loki anyway any meliss McCarthy is playing hel in okay apparently that theatrical troop Sam Neil's back as Odin right and then well I'm relieved that that's only a small role because I'm with you I can't stand it's dangerous watching her on screen it's dangerous letting no near a film

set you never know what she's going to do mhm might do some improvisational comedy yeah yeah well actually I think a lot of taay Titi stuff is improvised it's just improvised well is it I I get the feeling it's scripted but with the scripted but then delivered in a way that makes it feel like it's off the cuff yeah it could be more like you know always sunny you know the way they do it is they'll do it like to the script like you do a a pass ofice every scene until you get it perfectly right as per the script and then you can [ __ ] around and improvise have fun cuz then at least you can always fall back on something that's that's actually funny which is what they fail to do with with Ghostbusters I'm being a bit harsh for

comedy purposes you're not though because it was garbage and everyone knows it I haven't seen it and I know was garbage speaking of garbage you guys caught up on one division yes speaking of garbage well garbage that was great man I liked it I thought I thought that show started so strong and then by the middle it it just tape it off and then uh that final episode I mean it had some some decent moments in it but for me it just really didn't land I mean all of these plot things that they set up with Quicksilver and all of that no no nothing interesting about about that uh just two witches in the sky shooting magic at each other for 10 minutes not interesting and you know what I blame and and Luke you're going to disagree

with me but you know what I blame episodic television because if this had all come out on one day and we'd watch it in a weekend we' just watch it from beginning to end and we wouldn't think about it but the fact that everyone between the episodes during the week is all like oh what does that mean it's the same act that that play Quicksilver B in other movie no it doesn't mean anything okay and now you thought about it for too long so now anything we come up with is not going to be as good as the cool [ __ ] you just thought about yeah maybe I mean I didn't dislike it that much I thought it was all right no I thought it was okay it wasn't one a stronger episodes I didn't hate it I do agree with you the the the earlier episodes when it was kind of more mysterious were

M and I I mean I've we've already talked about this I don't like I did not like the actress that played what's her name Agatha Agnes Agatha not into her both yep no me too uh and there was just more of her more of that happening spoiler so I don't I I have a question but it's a it's a pretty big spoiler so I'm just I'm fine we've already decided television shows don't have the same thing for movies yeah come have we the whole internet's talking a couple weeks ago all right because with movies yes we have to give it that two weeks cuz it is a bit harder to go to the movies yeah for watching an episode that's just come out last few days you can you've got it's easier to watch a television show that's streaming all right fine fine I'll skip ahead a little bit if you

don't want to hear this but I'm I'm I'm bad I'm not clear on what she [ __ ] did to her to to Agatha cuz she said you got to stay here and you're going to be the nosy neighbor but then she got rid of but then she turned the town back to normal so that woman just lives in New Jersey now get is that yeah okay that's what I figured okay not only that but I've got I've got a question too that uh that Army General dude um what did he get arrested for can the FBI arrest into as far as I know yeah cat Jennings crashed into him said have fun in jail then she's not in the show anymore and that was her only contribution to this episode anyway and then he gets handcuffed by the FBI now a can the FBI arrest an army general for just following the orders of the army I

I wouldn't have thought so and also specific thought they were going to reveal that he was a bad guy and they didn't yeah what was what specifically did he do that was illegal apart from I mean he he he re stored Vision yeah but he was meant to right yeah that's what I thought like that was that job I I think we need to go back and rewatch it because I think there's a bit more to it than is there I think there was okay like there was a time when like Darcy was going through the files and they were talking to woo and all that there was a bit more to it that I think we may have missed yeah Fair all right cuz him restoring Vision everyone knew he was restoring Vision it wasn't like a big

secret everyone knew what was happening so I'm just yeah and well how it crashing into him prove his guilt about anything yeah that's what I mean crash into someone and then just piss off and be like get arrested yeah I also is not clear on that like wait why is he going to jail what you didn't Pro he hasn't guilty of anything some nice Prov guilty of anything yeah you know the the goodbye between vision and wand was was lovely and I'm glad the kids died because they were awful I was a little shocked cuz I thought they're going to go over the fact that um like that she' wanted to done something so terrible and then they didn't they went she's gone off into hiding now cuz she should be arrested for if anyone an entire town and we all thought that okay it wasn't going to be

her after all no no no no it was it was and and the Agnes thing was unrelated she was just there for another reason and uh and also this army guy was just doing his own thing but actually it was just W but now this is the second time that wand's created like huge crimes isn't it m cuz remember she was a criminal to begin with well she was working with I think she's one of the few superheroes who's killed as many people that she's saved you know Hydra Hydra that's she was working with no she was with Ultron not even Hydra Ultron so she was doing bad stuff there and then they overlooked that and now she's come done this there's no way that she can become like a pure good guy again they have to arrest her well she was anti- America because she was anti-

Stark because her Town got blown up by Stark because of the it said Stark on the missile that that was in Age of Ultron that they brought that up so that's why she was a bad guy then and then they kind of rehabilitated her at in The Avengers compat found but yeah also does she just not have an accent anymore because she had a [ __ ] accent in the movies and I assume she didn't have the accent because she was in a TV show but once they stopped that she still just didn't have one no no she do they they talked about it in in Wonder division she like when she gets mad it comes back a little bit like that is a thing yeah but what I mean is in the movies it was just always there right no no only in Age of Ultron it was more prominent and then over the time it went

away that that's that's true it's been talked about before cuz someone else was like in um I I don't think that's inity War why doesn't no no I know I know but I think it's probably she didn't want to do the accent anymore and they're like well we're going to have to taper it off or something cuz you've been doing it she she also didn't want to have cleavage in the suit anymore and so I I did think it was nice that at the end she's got a full body covering suit yeah cuz she was the only one left with her tits out yeah so I won't be watching those movies anymore no cross it off the list we we wait what two weeks and then we get the next movie the next television show which this one I'm not looking forward to as much I wasn't but then I watched uh some of the

sizzle things for you know like the catch up on the characters things and I was like oh actually Winter Soldier had like the good action in the in the movies like Captain America and the Winter Soldier that was a good movie yeah that was a good movie like it's got some some good uh you know just a good action movie so this could be a good show like if it's going to be that style you know like more um Espionage action you know born Supremacy style stuff yeah I mean if it ends in the last episode and it's just those two in the air hovering throwing magic at each other I'll probably tune out but uh yeah but I like it we watch this one then we get a two we break and then we get Loki yeah Y and I think that's just

going to be the way it's going to go forward for next year yeah that I think shows I think they might end up alternating a Star Wars TV show and then a Marvel one which I'm also fine with yeah they're definitely going to keep us on the hook for that subscription that's for sure well it's now with stars and what we're getting now I think it's actually worth it having a subscription to Disney plus it wasn't in Australia until very recently I've got HBO Max again uh cuz I want there's a documentary we wanted to watch and so yeah it's called Justice League yeah so that's kind too now this was a a documentary there something wrong with Aunt Diane you guys familiar with that it's about a woman who um she killed eight people including her kids

and her her nieces and nephews cuz she drove the wrong way on the highway crashed head first into another car and when they when they examined the body she had she already absorbed 10 drinks worth of vodka into her blood so her blood alcohol limit was like like one n or something and she still had an additional 10 drinks in her stomach that she just like she basically just downed a bottle of vodka and then and and smoked weed and there and then her family was like she doesn't drink and then the police were like well she did did she does and so now it's and it's just this mystery of the [ __ ] happened because she was I mean they

they insist like no I mean yeah sure from time to time but there she would not do that like why why like who the [ __ ] would do that so it it's just yeah it's interesting but there are people who do drink like that and hide it and you don't know but that much when you've got [ __ ] like three or four kids in the car on the way home from a camping a half an hour drive home from the camping trick you got to drink a whole bottle of vodka maybe they're really loud I mean well shut up back one of the theories how long has she been camping with six kids Matt a theory that they have in the show it's really sad though because they get this [ __ ] expert in HBO pays for this [ __ ] expert he's this old doctor and he's like I've gone over it and uh I mean I don't know what to tell you and

the guy's like you know we just got to find a reason is there a medical reason why she might might have looked like she was and the guy's like I mean she drank the the vodka I don't know what to tell you man like I don't know what he's basically like I don't know what you want from me like I've gone over this and she drank it and she smoked weed like conclusive probably [ __ ] depressed but then one of the theories was that well no that she had uh she was going to the dentist a lot and she had been putting off like like dental work and so they're like I mean and so the husband is like could you know she had like an really bad bad absis could she have had like a stroke or something and and this this poor old man is like um

sure he's like this is obviously very important to you and you know if that gives you peace and then you can just tell the husband's like no that's don't say it like that just say that that's what happened like it's just really sad oh but the theory is that maybe if if she had something like a medical issue with a tooth maybe she may have been delirious cuz there's actually footage of her going into a gas station and she's like asking for something and then she like leaves but it they weren't able to get talk to the attendants I like maybe she was looking for painkillers or something and we happeneds well no that's the other mystery right is that why was there a bottle of vodka in the car because he was in the car the bottle yeah I'm going

back to Luke's theory about secret alcoholic h i mean you're not wrong it could be but that's a lot to [ __ ] just down and she wasn't drunk in any of the camera footage as far as they could tell she didn't look drunk she didn't look like someone drank that much in we can hide it well she couldn't hide it when she was driving the wrong way up the [ __ ] highway Jesus yeah that's why you shouldn't drive yeah I think even high functioning alcoholics should still stay off the [ __ ] roads yeah I don't know I they do a pretty convincing job of of saying that like I don't think she I don't think she was secret there nobody suspected anything she had a big personality change that can be that's what a secret alic is happened through

what do you mean it wasn't it personality change was like her driving the wrong way up the highway and smashed into a car like up until then no one noticed anything the Personality yeah like the personality change is drinking that vka and it can just be an overnight thing that's people just flip a switch yeah and it's a mental I think the big mystery is just why was she why was she drinking it it probably would have been more emotional Than Physical what do you mean what I love though that this this really illustrates is that human beings don't want to think that random [ __ ] horrible disasters happen right there all there must be a reason and there has to be a reason for it no sometimes people just [ __ ] snap and they get [ __ ] drunk and get in the car with

their kids that happens they that would be that would be more of an emotional thing to snap like that than a physical cuz they have a Pi Pi investigates and he talks to like her family and like other co-workers and that kind of stuff and it would honestly it sounds like it would be like if if Jenna did something like that and I'd be like why what no that that can't be right like she wouldn't do that and it's like you see a husband is just like no that's not what happened and then the police are like that is what happened mate like and the weed too they're like you can't cuz so there was a people were saying there's a thing called Auto Brewery syndrome where you can't buy weed at the gas station she went to her [ __ ] dealer to get that oh yeah Auto Brewery yes

yeah if you Auto Brewery syndrome is like if you eat a carb heavy meal there's a theory it's not proven there's a theory that your body can produce alcohol kind of stuff and then but then like doctors were like what more like but there was there was [ __ ] 10 10 shots of vodka in her stomach like does your body turn it into also she doesn't have Auto Weed syndrome like anyway it was it was interesting documentary very sad but I don't know I don't know like that cuz that's one of those one that sort of like oh just one kid surv closure at the end yeah no none that's why it pissed me off a little bit because I was like a [ __ ] I hope we figure out what this is no one kid surviv we never know we'll never know yeah one kid survived and he said

that all he remembers is all he he said that she couldn't um he [ __ ] he said um Auntie Diane couldn't see and her head hurt and then I flew out of the car like Superman that's what he said oh yeah like okay well damn nothing nothing useful he's a little kid like mhm yeah and and yeah I I'm sad [ __ ] all right um all right let's go to something fun on our comedy podcast right very good do we have anything fun in here no I mean if we want to talk about more like horrible stuff happening to kids I can talk about a show that I was watching this

week what are you watching I watched a show on called Equinox which is from Denmark um I guess you'd call this Nordic Noir but uh it kind of is that kind of folk horror of like mid somar it has like a Stephen King Vibe um all right a little bit like dark um but no time travel elements but it does kind of have two parallel stories going in different time zones um but I liked it there's only like six episodes and it was over very quickly and uh it wasn't super comp one that she's this is one about the radio show or something yeah yeah so basically seen it pop up yeah I'd seen it pop up a couple of times too but I decided to check it out late one night and I watched it all over the

weekend basically a school bus goes missing no school bus crashes and all the kids in it go missing and uh 21 years later um the younger sister of one is a radio DJ and she gets a call in from someone saying I was one of those kids and I know what happened and but it's It's Supernatural so that's that's the other thing you know when you're watching a mystery and then they're like ghosts did it it's not ghosts but you have to be prepared that the sometimes sometimes I'm okay with that but it depends on what it it depends on how [ __ ] agree to totally agree it depends on how early in the show they introduce the supernatural element yes because there's a series of books I really like that are a bit like that they're kind of like Noir fiction

but then they've got a little bit of a supernatural thing and it's just Just a Touch just enough that I'm like all right yeah like it's not like yeah ghosts did it mhm but yeah I recommend do it if they want to do I have to read uh yeah you do yeah you do I have noticed though cuz I've watched a few things where I've had to read or it's been dubbed over and now I'm getting more shows that hey you might be interested in this that are in a foreign language yeah they think you're inter read it does get easier it does the only thing I mean the only problem I have sometimes is that you miss what is happening visually because you got to read the words but I mean that's that's just how it works yeah and I don't sometimes

sometimes you have the option where you can watch the dubbed version but it's so hard sometimes that's fine most of the time no I like I'm glad they stopped giving foreign characters silly voices though in dubs cuz I what was the [ __ ] want deal with that in like the '90s like everyone had to have a silly voice yeah it was like the only voice over say were the guys that did cartoons yeah like I'll get the M the anime guys in here they'll do it w hello cuz I was watching um tribes of Europa what is that oh yeah that looked interesting that's German yeah tribes of Europa so it's like um all the technology on Earth was wiped out and then there's sort of like tribes of different areas and different people and Clans

and some people still have technology others don't trying to stay alive that's was interesting give it a try I got up to episode 6 and then Tapped Out hell of a review well it actually only has six I just just looked you watch it all you didn't even realize so so what happens is I I tend to watch a lot of stuff when I'm playing games yes and so it's hard to watch shows that you need to pay attention to when you're playing read subtitles yeah we must watch clear don't play games the same way no no I watched the reading one that's why i i s of lose track of what's Happening a lot of the time you definitely don't play games the same way or watch things the same way there's no way I would be watching something at the same time depending on

what I was playing if I was playing like Minecraft or something I'll watch something if I've seen it before but not like you know when I was playing Jedi Fallen order the other week I'm I'm not going to put a TV show on at the same time the closest I get if I'm if I'm playing something like Conan and I'm just doing a build I might put a podcast on you're just ticking off things on your to-do list yeah but not not anything I've got to look at I can't split my attention like that I also don't have two TVs next to one another like when when I was playing Minecraft back in the day I rewatched Twin Peaks while I was playing Minecraft and I can do that cuz I'm familiar with Twin Peaks like I don't really need to pay full and Columbo I can watch Columbo

episodes while I'm playing something but yeah well like on uh yeah we play games very differently on the six so what was that was that was Saturday yeah yep two days ago I got 5,000 gamer score Jesus right so you played five games all the way through completed five games completely and then yesterday was like 2 and a half thousand today was very crap very soft day it's only a work day that's why public holiday in C is it it's a public holiday okay yep jeez don't get many of those here I'm working on my a million a million's coming up soon I've been playing something that I have been meaning to mention for a couple of weeks now I've been playing valheim um I want to play that yeah look it's interesting just a survival game

it's it's basically Minecraft or Conan any it's very very similar to those except that you're a viking and you're in the Land of the Dead yeah it's it's really quite interesting controls are a bit clunky and I thought at first it was just my computer not performing well but then I went on the forums and and everyone's complaining that it's just not optimized it just runs like garbage and yeah um but it is only in Early Access so maybe they'll maybe they'll patch it and it'll be better optimized but at at the moment it runs I I've got to turn all of the all of the settings down before it runs at a decent frame rate so is it I don't know if it's available on Mac Buy on Steam you can PC run it though yeah but my PC is there why is it there

cuz I don't use it anymore well now you can but I have to hook it up PC only all right yeah well maybe we'll see maybe I'll hook that back up look I mean it's going it's going gang bust I think it's got 3 million 3 million downloads now um talk about Early Access and only been out a few weeks but uh honestly it's note everyone's talking about now yeah I'll give it a sh I should get in and play it now before they finish it because whenever they like with Minecraft as soon as they like they're like oh we making finishing off the game and I was like oh it's not fun anymore Minecraft was definitely in that c camp this one I don't know this one

needs a little bit more work I I would say don't dip in just yet okay yeah I I would like to play it but it's one of those ones I'd probably only like to play with people I know could be interesting too yeah and then also there's no achievements so well how do we get a valheim server cuz I know those are a thing they are a thing I'll look into it I'll look into it all right cuz I'm quite happy to go and just collect res resources for people that's my thing y we'll put you to work L on you should come back in a chest full of crap guys let's go back into Conan and see if our village is still there that's not a bad idea is Conan better than this better than valheim yeah it is yeah for sure much

much more to do yeah no SL in I played a little Conan this weekend because I got I got tired of the poor performance of alheim and uh and I play on my Xbox yeah oh what does Conan look like on the new Xbox same the same yeah exact mind yeah um there is a Conan game we could coming out this week that we could all play together this week is that the like Castle Siege Conan game it's called Conan Chop Chop yeah yeah I remember talked to these guys at packs a couple of years ago Chop Chop because it's made in Australia and actually cuz the guys who make Conan Exiles actually own the rights to video games but they were working on this thing and they just

reached out to them went hey we're making this can we like call it Con use the rights and they've gone go for it this looks pretty fun I was thinking of actually this looks pretty fun it's a rogue light so it's a little Co-op couch Co-op thing but you're going to die you go back you level up your character and keep playing and playing and it's just yeah it' be a fun game to play but play I'm in I'm in it comes out next this week I think all right I've been waiting for this for like over a year because it was meant to come out last year but then with Co and everything sort of got delayed but yeah it comes out in the 16th on just steam or is it going to be on uh xbx Xbox good stuff oh okay so we get it on Xbox yeah yep I think so all right

con shopop fun little game it was called Chop Chop and then they were like can we put Conan on the front and then they were like yeah and they said yeah go for it sure why not that's what you got to do man that's marketing so the Amazon app's got a new logo on my phone this week it's got a it's got a new as well yeah was there an in between one that I'm not remembering cuz uh let me have a oh yeah they made a little bit of a mistake on this funny I didn't realize I didn't even notice that why you hear it you can't unse it hang on which onephone Luke do you want to describe yeah I've got the new one the Amazon logo the old new one the old new one the old so it's like a little smile like

that that normal sort of line they've got the just above it they had the Hitler mustache I mean it's supposed to be the blue tape they put on the box I'm assuming yeah it's not though is it but when you like that small blue tape over a mouth it's that's funny I didn't didn't even notice of course someone noticed that yeah all right so they've trained trained they've changed it yeah I funny how it's just so funny how stuff like this still gets past like cuz a lot of people would have had to sign off on that mhm yeah and this is one of those things as if you've gone through the design process and you've seen so many variations you would not notice because yeah like you'd be focused on other other details cuz also I mean this icon

is fine I guess it's not blowing my mind like the revised version as well like what was wrong with the old one Amazon logo you know what I mean and they didn't change it too much I mean it's basically the Hitler mustache but just peeling up at the corner yeah but the one like it the it used to be just the Amazon a was just it was just the the Amazon a like what was wrong with that I mean unless you changing you're not progressing yeah that's fair well we haven't changed our logo in quite some time no we to one day I'm going to get a multiple nurg gasm tattoo but I just need to wait until we've got something that screams multiple nasm that I want on my body oh so you think we need to change the logo so you can get it tattooed yes all right we can

investigate that yeah cuz I I've found my new tattooist going to be covered do you want like a some sort of mascot do you think we should have or just just you know like a a different like like an owl dripping with [ __ ] or [Laughter] something but that kind of thing you want a mascot and and if so what would our mascot be be me wouldn't it all right can I can I just say and I don't I don't mean to derail this conversation and go back to the [ __ ] picture of Hitler but go on uhhuh if if your should be our mascot is that what you're saying if your logo was a little a little rounded rectangle that's skin colored with a smile and a little Hitler

mustache right and everyone went your logo looks like Hitler you change it a little more than just going okay well we'll just we'll just flip the corner up a tiny bit and make it look a tiny bit less like Hitler I it does it looks like an Amazon box it it does so to to in their defense I I see what they're going for but but you're right like it's not a huge change when the when the issue was that it looked like a little mo it still looks like a little mo if you if you look at it that way yeah the first iteration I think is more obviously going to draw that like honestly when kids draw mustaches when they're young that's how they draw a mustache like when children draw pictures of Hitler that's what they look like yeah when we were kids and we

Dictator for reasons um that we're not going to go into leave it at that one customer tweeted my parents used Amazon nearly every day and they're going to ask me where the where the app went and I'm going to tell them look for the little cardboard Hitler uh other news this week Hitler related Dr Seuss Spooks oh it is okay no I mean it is well sort of so this one is interesting I think people are getting all getting their underpants in a bunch about this ah the internet because you know cancel culture and that kind of stuff so Dr Seuss books six Dr Seuss books will no longer be published because they contain uh some kind of

some racist imagery or or some of the the text is a bit racist they Dory to cats in hats right well there's one I forget which there's there's one that kind of makes fun of Asian people's names and things like that so they're like but and so everyone's like oh cancel culture they're canceling Dr Seuss and I just really don't think that's what's happening here cuz I think if you're a company who owns these books which is you know the Dr Seuss's you know estate or the company or whatever and they like you know what I don't want to publish these books of a mine anymore I think that's fine yeah no one said anything they just said you know what let's not publish these ones anymore we don't stand we don't stand by those

anymore and then everyone's like no you have to publish them you [ __ ] have to otherwise the lefties win they probably also they' probably also done research and when these aren't really making us any money anymore no one gave a [ __ ] about these books until this week no one goes into the book store and goes you have that Dr Seuss book that's got that really racist caricature of an African person yeah just I I just really like that one Dr died in 1991 I can't believe I was like 11 and he was still alive he seems like like olden days to me yeah you're right I for some reason I think yeah he like way pre-exists me but apparently not but yeah so I just don't feel I don't see what the fuss about this is I think a company's well within its rights to not publish something if

they think you know even just if they're like this might attract at some point he is the number two highest paid dead celebrity this year I mean yes his stuff's very popular the only dead celebrity to make more money than Dr Seuss this year was Michael Jackson geez how is he still making money touching kids like it's lucrative that's why they all do it yeah but I'm just trying like no I'm really trying to work out where that money would be coming from oh out you know Spotify streams people [ __ ] love his music royalties out the Wazoo yeah people are still using his tracks for ads and yeah he's money coming into to them for a long time people should start paying me more but Dr Sue number two really him yeah I guess yeah he makes

us and [ __ ] you know it's one of the things like stuff did happen back then with the books and then you they grow go look this is not where we are today we don't support this and to be fair S I don't think Dr Seuss is a racist he has images of people from all around the world and the way that he's drawn them is no longer considered okay right but they reflect what was acceptable when he was around he was yeah it's not like he was sitting down going I'm going to discredit all [ __ ] Africans with this drawing no it's just it was just a a a bad stereotype that everybody was using at the time yeah I guess there's also going to be a lot of people who complaining about aren't also haven't probably purchased the drist book no in a very long time here's

the other thing right and this is the other angle of this that I'm I'm people are mad because now eBay instantly banned all sales of those books which I think might be going too far because you can buy mine camp on eBay but you can't buy [ __ ] Dr Seuss books now and you know what I'm saying like the for the publisher to say we don't want hold on on on I'm logging on to eBay same Amazon Amazon banned them as well and but you can still buy for I mean mine Camp as example everybody keeps using cuz that's a great one to use yeah I suppose yeah I'll stop you there Matt there's no listing for M camp on eBay yeah maybe they maybe they took that down too now I I mean cuz cuz I would have if everybody pointed that [Laughter]

out but the I guess the oh no you can get it on Amazon though Amazon I perfectly happy if you to buy Hitler's [ __ ] I just f m comp on eBay oh you did yeah he he's just ordered it but I think if if you're selling if it's a secondhand Market Place which I guess you know is sort of what eBay is I mean it's not all secondhand but you know like if it's if you're a secondhand bookstore like you're still within your rights to say we don't want to trade in that so I don't I I'm not quite sure I get where everyone's coming from because again no one was demanding these books be removed from the marketplace yeah yeah yeah there's a very big difference between no longer publishing something and banning it right yeah they're not banned they just the Publishers aren't

selling anymore and then so but now everyone's like well if eBay is Banning it I guess that is different right if they're banning secondhand sales of this book but then but then again they're also probably thinking oh these [ __ ] are going to be selling it for 200 bucks on on here now and they don't want but also EB a privately owned company who just says you know what I don't want to be involved in this garbage so I think that's what it boils down to is that that I think the people who are complaining about this cancel culture are also the people that would be complaining about a company's rights to do whatever the [ __ ] they want yeah so I feel like there's a bit of a conflict there if youbody doesn't want to sell it you going to make them sell it like buy

my copy of mine C you have to sell Dr Seuss books yeah that in fact if you sell nothing else you have to sell that so I just think whole thing is a little strange they don't want to they don't want to publish the book they don't have to publish the book The Internet also is attempting to cancel um Jeremy Rena this week and I thought he died because I saw a whole bunch of # rip Jeremy Rena and I was like oh no what happened no what happened to him no no no um what he do he now I want to get this right too because I don't want to I don't want to get accused later yeah of uh embellishing anything here right so hold on oh my god oh you found it you want to read it out so okay this is where his ex-wife is apparently alleging I'm not saying any

slurs and outdated terms okay I'm clicking through this Jeremy Rena drops the n-word during an interview a recent video resurface of an interview with the actor who's promoting a 2000 film neon Ned in which he plays a misguided Neo-Nazi okay so I mean it's not cool to use that word but it certainly sounds like he did it in context he what he said was it's not okay to say and then he said the word so okay I mean that's a problematic sentence sure yeah I get it but I mean I guess I guess we hate Jeremy Rena now yeah I guess we do it's a shame because actually I really like Age of Ultron um and uh do you I think that's I think that's his allow to now evidently the way it works well it's directed by Jos Weeden isn't it so oh God I'm not

allowed to like it doubly um by the way Weeden con unsurprisingly changing their name what are they changing it too they're changing it to hold on hellmouth convention the hellmouth convention I mean it's not that distant is it I I love the headline weding con distance itself from Jos wed convention about his work they were distancing himself from him no I mean you're not distancing yourselves that much are you other I'm not taking a piss I understand like he's done stuff that's very influential and I we loved his work as well I just think it's funny you can't I have lik about a lot the actress actors that have come out and said something like please don't hate the work that we've done you're still allow to like Buffy

to it but I'm I'm they don't like delve into it in any great way it's just yeah I am looking forward to that game when it comes out is this the first of the Harry Potter games or have there been I don't there've been others there was one that was like a Zelda Style game on this on the um GameCube that I remember playing I've played there was also the Lego ones where oh yeah play I've played the Lego ones I haven't really played any of the other games but this one I'm looking forward to this one's going to be fun is this the one I don't know when it's coming out though this is the one where you just make a character and you go to Hogwarts right yeah you you're you're not playing Harry or anything like that it's a you're a student go on to

Hogwarts get up to some high Jinks so it's bully by Rockstar except said at hog oh yeah yeah can I be a can I be a Slytherin I don't know it's not out yet I don't know aot I'll tell you when I find out you don't know a whole lot about this game you pimping it's not coming out to 2022 2022 I've graduated from Hogwarts by then when did you start um I don't know whenever the ow dropped the letter off I can't remember and you spent six years at school though right do you but but but I love it in in your fantasy You' you've got less than two years to go I guess I started in uh it's so of like 2017 or something yeah yeah I was a mature age learner at Hogwarts do they

have mature age classes at Hogwarts you went to night school there K N I G HT do they have mature age learning at at Hogwarts I feel like that should be uh they should do a spinoff I don't think they do no no no they do cuz isn't that girl who cries in the toilet's like 40 years old Myrtle mning Myrtle yeah but she died when she was a girl little girl she class wait is that true her ghost aged mtle no no it's because the actor actor who plays them she's I forget how old she is very old but she's playing a teenager I just I remember her as a teenager but fair enough oh because she's [ __ ] CGI isn't she yeah yeah that'll be why I didn't notice that's all for this week thank you for
