quos that's the name of this episode coincidentally so what's been happening apart from um your thespian I hate Microsoft at the moment Jesus all right I know it's this is the worm's turned yeah it's they have too many games at the moment that I can play for free yeah I must admit I uh I resubscribed to Game Pass yeah [ __ ] hell what a turn of events so the Bethesda acquisition has been you know finished finished up yep and now the okay all the games we've paid hundreds of dollars for over the years we can just have them now because we have Game Pass yeah we can just we just have them and they also just went here have them on PC with new achievements and so now I have to replay them all and I am Stu I'm falling back into Fallout 4 God that is a good game

yeah we noticed you were playing a bit of Fallout 4 yes the thing about it is the game is so big like I'm playing it again and I'm stumbling across stuff I didn't experience last time which is so it's great playing a new game that I'm still deciding on I never got that into Fallout 4 I I did I mean I I played it a bunch but like just you know pottering around as you do man I lived there I lived there I've never finished Skyrim as in the main story line um you might have I know it just didn't interest me oh I mean accidentally I've completed Skyrim didn't interest you no Skyrim interests me the main quest of Skyrim didn't I would just be like as soon as I get out of that cave at the start I was like all right see you later yeah done off my off the hills yeah yeah

especially once you get the uh the DLC where you can build yourself a house and have a family just literally just live there y I will admit my second play through I did finish it by accident I didn't actually realize cuz I wasn't paying attention to the main quest I went oh I did that the first time cuz fighting the dragons wasn't particularly interesting to me so I know that I got as far as there's a bit where you go up on top of a mountain and you fight that dragon that talks to you m I think I think that's as far as I got yeah Benedict Cumberbatch that's him yeah second time I played through Skyrim twice the hours I spent on the first one and didn't do one single Mission as your house just lived my favorite Skyrim quest is that one where you get drunk

with um what's his name the you know the the Mischief God or whatever his name is oh and then you wake up married or something well you you you you apparently it's random you wander into a into a Tavern in a town and there's a guy sitting there and you have a chat with him I forgot the guy's name he's he was part of the Oblivion DLC he was a big part of that you chat with him he's like I have a couple drinks with me and then you black out when you wake up you're in on the other side of the map and then everyone's like some guy's like where the [ __ ] are my cows you piece of [ __ ] and then you're like what and he's like you better [ __ ] find him I'm going to come for you and then you got you go looking for his cows and then some guy's like well are you hanging out

with my wife last night and you it's basically this whole debed like story you have to follow up on so good well I'm going to get to play that again as well hopefully cuz once I finish Fallout that's there as well I don't think I could go through Skyrim again it took too much of me me well they've got slight updates games slight updates for the new Xbox 2 all these oh yeah Dishonored games are good but yeah they look frame rate updates right that's all yeah yeah so I mean still that's good especially in a game like that so I might give a look I'm thinking about I going to go back to Dison but I'm going to give up on trying to play my not kill anyone playthrough that's what I did the first time was like you know what [ __ ] it just go with dis it's

just to it's too hard it's to slow and then I lost interest because it was I kept messing up and I'd have to reload and so this time I'm I'm just going to murder everyone I see but it does change I don't want to spoil anything but it changes the game when you do that so it's like it's a tough decision I don't have time have time to be good now I did the same thing I did the same thing there's three of them I do it with every game that has stealth to be honest like uh d x in that as well at first I'm like I'm just going to play stealth and then after a certain point soon as someone sees you I'm like you're all [ __ ] dead now yeah just this one po guy that turned a corner you blew it because of you I'm going to murder all of your friends having coffee around

the corner that's right yeah but no we've got all of these and then in a couple of weeks we also have Mass Effect thaty coming out again [ __ ] hell all right and then I've got a baby so I'm not going to be able to play anything yeah I still have to also work as well and we've all been playing Conan again I knew back I knew we'd be back so build yourself a house I'm sick of coming out my front door and finding your female body just lying in the dirt the last couple times I've been on as far as I can tell Luke's just been lying in the same spot outside your house on the floor on sorry in the dirt I should I found him half in half out of the stove you know the fire a couple of days

go the last 48 hours he been outside my house on the floor I jump on I go mine like 100 pieces of O I put it in the furnace and I log off man I threw uh 600 pieces of Iron Stone in there last night and then got sick of waiting for it takes so long to to melt down does it still keep melting when you're offline yeah I hope so it does yeah it does it's all done I took some and I made myself sword no that's for good good yeah yeah don't need anything all right then um feel free to worship at my pit of yog if you guys want to oh you built a pit of yog I did yeah well I couldn't you know couldn't look at your modest Shrine without Mak a modest Shrine of my own my little Shrine to youa or whatever his name is like my Frost giant God m one thing that's a little sucky is the fact

that I can be naked but you guys can't yeah yeah yeah so I bought it here in the US and Dan bought it in Singapore which means yeah conservative countries in the world yeah violence is fine here in the US vience is fine nudity or sex yeah cuz I brought it day one and I just went here have the free DLC for okay Luke has very nice tits I was quite I was quite disappointed when he covered him up with he sent that snap and I was like we basically made the same character which is a little disturbing although it doesn't surprise me based on our Skyrim wife yeah that we all the same [ __ ] woman in Skyrim is your character a nordheimer as well in yeah see it's exactly the same [ __ ] person we made I know I look through all the qus I went back that n just I'm playing as a man because I'm

not an imaginary transsexual he has a harm though now yeah that's right I'm hanging out with the chicks well I played as a dude last time this time I was like I'll try as a lady well you know what I did play as a lady as because you have no choice just the titular character this week I put on just a little bit of hellblade Center was sacrifice oh yeah I never finished the first time it was a great game beautifully done and it's been enhanced so I decided to check it out um looks beautiful down high frame rate I'm on I'm on board Matt with the high frame rate yeah yeah it's good stuff once you see it you can't go back sequel to that comes out next year I think yeah it does yeah yeah I never finished that either that was good though was very it's

challenging that's why it's very challenging yeah good game though I've played through twice did you twice yeah cuz you get on the Xbox and also on PC and separate achievements so they stack you completed it twice yep nice jeez i' 100% did it on PC so got every single of those the story and yeah great oh wow we didn't mentioned this when we're talking about Bethesda but apparently some titles will be exclusive in future MH and there people are wondering what that means it's going to piss off some PlayStation people I think people still buy the PlayStation do they kind of they would I think more people buy the PlayStation than the Xbox which surprises me every

time I read it cuz I wouldn't have thought so cuz we're very you know we're an Xbox focused a lot of people like The Last of Us group yeah one thing I found weird cuz I did watch the showcase that they showing when they're announcing it all coming out they kept saying with the exclusive they didn't never said Xbox PC they said they never said PC or Xbox they said whever Game Pass is oh oh so I'm actually thinking I'm actually my prediction is they're probably going to go for Nintendo first cuz imagine having the Nintendo switch with xcloud on there so you could stream games to that holy [ __ ] all right that's my prediction mind

I could play him on this little guy yes and also pointing at his dick and if they do it in time with the new Nintendo switch that's planned for like the end of the year which is the larger screen and stuff and big better higher resolution imagine that like I just I just have a feeling I've got nothing to base on but it's just that they keep going back they never said what it was on they said wherever Game Pass is well now you've said it it's probably going to happen so mhm I guess thanks I have to buy a new Switch yep I'm glad I didn't buy another switch light because yeah they I know they're talking about that new the new Switch although there's like zero actual information on it yeah that if that if it is going to be coming out it won't

they won't announce it till like later in year to get ready for like Christmas all right so we don't think that means PlayStation people can't play the new Elder Scrolls because that would be a weird thing to do right they did say that like any games that have already been announced that they've already got licensing for they still as are as is like they' still got those contracts there but anything for future is all going to be for Game Pass cuz they're basically like saying no we don't want half the gaming population's money if they don't imagine if they're doubling down just going everything they would just want everyone to pay for this subscription they don't care what you play it on that that makes a lot of sense yeah all right I think the only

time exclus this really make sense and doesn't fall into that category that you just mentioned Matt with the losing out of 50% of yeah the buyers is when there's a new console coming out yeah because that's when exclusives can be the decider yeah yeah they use it as a sales tool for the for the console and I know that was just bizarre because there were no new titles that came out with the Xbox series X yeah that's true that's one of the big things everyone saying is where are the games MH and they were like you can play all the old games I'm like I already got yeah you've already got the games Halo infinite was meant to be a launch title yeah till everyone RI the [ __ ] out of it yep and it was a terrible thing to show yeah that silly like when you watching it and

you go this is the best they could show and you've got the background just disappearing and then coming back and no and monkey looking dude who looked like an Xbox one character yeah as in the original Xbox and that's the best they could show yeah that wasn't it wasn't ideal yeah but just watch this face we'll see cuz it used to be one of the other big things that used to always be is you had to get the same consol as your friends got that was a big thing that's why we're all on Xbox aren't we cuz that's just how now group panned out yeah but when now it used to be like cuz that's when if you're going to play multiplayer you all had to be on the same console now with crossplay that doesn't need to be a thing yeah like cod you can play against any console now so

I feel like the reason we're all on Xbox and I mean correct me if I'm wrong is but I think it's because when remember when the original Xbox came out and it was so modable with a hard drive in it that you could just slap 500 games on it and that's how we played games was we just took these modded Xboxes around and played burnout and then I don't know I feel like that's yeah exactly I feel like that's how we all ended up on Xbox originally and the other thing for me is cuz we had PlayStations before PlayStation controller no I do too but we I mean Dan you had a PS2 I know you did and I did yeah and I think that's that's what we had before that so yeah but L you always were a fanboy I guess I well I'm just from the 360 when achievements came out I'm now they

gotcha I I can't think of playing on another thing without getting achievements it's ruined gaming for me Bill Gates got his little hooks India sure did coming up on a million what I'm coming up on a million score [ __ ] me I'm not even at 100,000 I don't think I'm at 936 th000 at the moment what damn I just ask Luke when I want to know what mine is m i I don't want to know what mine is Luke don't tell me it's quicker than trying to look it up on the Xbox uh you are 33,000 you better watch watch out Luke I'm coming for you I'm coming for you no nowhere near it God if you're 33 man I don't know what I am not getting any achievements for Kernan no I'm not getting any but I assume I got all the

achievements yeah that not all I mean I don't I'm not saying I've got all the achievements but all the achievements I was going to get play way I do yeah yeah um I don't think you have any of the achievements you really in that game all of them about killing some of like the big crocodile and going like exploring the entire Island there are two huge crocodiles in [ __ ] Conan right near our base yeah yeah was a big crocodile and a big uh Turtle trying to kill us at the moment there was that one that chased me and I took it back to base and then left it you with it and just ran off there's a right just near the water there's a corrupted Cod which I can't K and then if you go into that cave that's near us there's a bunch of noral crocod which no I can get all the way through

but then there's a a big one that I'm not I'm not messing with yeah to actually um get most of the achievements in the game it's actually very easy you just use console commands and then you spawn in the monsters and then just kill them oh I see oh the The Killing Them is the easy part is it yeah because you just got like slash kill pretty much oh all right fine there's only one achievement I need I find combat is the least interesting thing about Kan I agree yeah it's a bit tedious to be honest which is sort of weird unless I have to yeah I know it's just it's clunky it's doesn't feel natural to fight anything in that game and I find like cuz I was like I'll get a bow and I'll shoot because I wanted to you know get kill some deer and get some hides

and whatnot and then but like the it's hard to onot them and then they just run off and it's like now I can't shoot them again cuz it's so better arrows you need better better arrows it's just not yeah combat is definitely the weakest aspect of that whole game pottering about making fake stuff in a fake world that's where it's at yeah chopping down fake trees to make fake table basically just wasting your life I've got a little compost heap going there now oh have you if you guys want to just have a look at that get some compost growing some plants I built a leather tanning station last night and then walked around the back of your house Dan and realized you mine so I just dismantled mine and used your I guess it was done putting it around there but I I don't know for some reason

I like having things against walls no no it's it's good I I just didn't spot it and I needed some leather so MH you've got a nice uh outfit on right now mant oh you you've creep crept into my bedroom have you yeah I wanted to I want well because you said you bought some DLC and I couldn't see anything on the outside that kind of gave away that You' built anything new so I crept into your house and had a cheeky peek at you while you slept yeah I've got some assassins armor on yeah it's very nice the mask that goes with him is like cool but also I don't know that I would wear it all the time it's like a literally like a Ste like a metal face mask it's like like the Man in the Iron Mask style which I guess if I was assassinating somebody

would be very intimidating but uh yeah is it the whole idea of assassini that they don't see you at all not even the mask Fair Point yeah but I'm not I'm I'm assassinating Turtles and deer like yeah they're going to they're going to call the cops and be like oh it was her yeah I like the idea of a corrupt crocodile though like what is a corrupt crocodile a crocodile who just [ __ ] Tes Kickbacks that's the problem we're coming at him the wrong way yeah he's 50 bucks move up the river slight but yeah I can make you guys some uh some armor if you want Luke doesn't need any apparently but let me let me know what you need let me know what sources you need just need to stand on someone's head and kill them we're talking about con and Exiles looke I that's the one

achievement I don't have the Tower of the elephant kill something by standing on its head yeah mine now it doesn't say it doesn't say kill something while standing on its head it says kill something by standing on its heading on it yeah yep so yeah so the way to do it is if you do it with like cheats on you use fly you stand on a cult partner's head you then spawn hundreds of items into your inventory so and then you just kill them okay how you going to do that on the Xbox oh that's how I got them all on the Xbox wait you use console commands on there no my server I'm going to turn that off [ __ ] you yeah turn it off we don't want sheet I wouldn't use it with with on that

[Laughter] no way in hell so I'm going to have to find some way to squeeze it in I've already told my wife that Friday night is 4 hours of Justice League night so is happening yeah one thing that I think we have to take into account if this turns out being good back then he was not going to get a 4H hour Movie 4 hour long movie God that would not have been allowed so would not though will this be good or will it just be not as [ __ ] I've read reviews and they basically yeah it's it's than the other one which doesn't tell me a whole lot some people really like this some people like yeah it's fine some people like your first one I haven't seen any that said it's garbage to be fair so that's

true yeah well we might be the first we might break that we sometimes are yeah yeah breaking news still garbage you know it got leaked on HBO by HBO by accident so but you had to click on Tom and Jerry it would play I did the thing that and that tickled me about this story is that it said that some people were trying to watch Tom and Jerry and then Zack Snider's Justice League started and they were able to watch the first like hour and a half of it who the [ __ ] was like I'm watch Tom and Jerry and then Zack sn's Justice League start like oh yeah I watch this in this sure all four hours of this what crossover is there between Tom and Jerry fans and [ __ ]

Zack sn's Justice League fans M Stoners yeah I guess Fair absolutely Fair yeah yeah but yeah so I guess you they might I I don't know how how do you stop people from watching I guess you just shut the feed off and then eventually the it'll stop buffering it or something but yeah they [ __ ] that up somehow it was a strange like thing to they caught it they caught it in real time too that's why nobody could watch the whole movie two hours after it was put up it was taken shut it off oh so the maximum anyone could have watched his two hours yeah right yeah yeah all right but I'm gonna watch it I'm gonna watch it this week we'll report back I'm looking forward to it got get some popcorn they confirmed that even though we said you

know there's going to be a cliffhanger ending apparently this is the last DC movie Zack snd will do they want you to know that there is no more so is he saying that or are they saying that I think both yeah I think he is saying that because they have said that and made it very clear or is this a thing where you know it's worked for him in the past yeah where they've said no you're not getting Zack Snider's version of this and he was like yeah no they're not going to do it and then all the fans were like we want it and he like oh who could have predicted that would happen release the Snider sequel yeah so now he's like I'm not going to do anymore and then the fans are gonna be like do some more and he's GNA be like looks like I'm doing some more yeah he's just

going to release cryptic tweets of just pictures of film canisters yeah exactly Justice Le it's worked for the fans once why not a second time why not indeed Zack sniders Justice League 2 what would he call it something stupid no doubt Justice League 2 Justice League ad Dum evening of Justice Dawn night and day of Justice well we get two stack slider movies just back to back don't we we get this and then we gety Day of the Dead Or Army of the dead army of the Dead yeah don't that looks great I watched that was it it wasn't a little trailer it was like a little behind the scenes thing and I was like it still looks like his movies are very cartoony these days like they always were comic Booky like with

300 but 300 was I know it worked for me for whatever reason and then Watchman worked and and uh his Dawn of the Dead remake was good but the new stuff's all very like it's that thing I always say where it's like two yeah cartoony and slapstick almost you know what I mean like the it feels too plasticky yeah so I don't know probably not for me it's just like a video game cut scene yes yeah and the the stuff that I saw of the worst part of a video game yeah the first the stuff I saw of army of the Dead looked a lot like that where camera's flying around in ways that it can't really and it just takes me out of it that's what it is Matt you know we always talk about like why does CG big CGI movies suck it's not the fully realiz CGI backgrounds it's the

camera movements that real cameras couldn't do and that's one thing Marvel doesn't do I was about to say cuz we talk you talked about that the other week is that what it is maybe that's what it is because Marvel have fully CGI characters in fully CGI backgrounds but the cameras move like real cameras yes you're right because I'm just thinking like Man of Steel when he's fighting Zod and the cameras following his fist and [ __ ] around like yeah Justice League when the batmobile's driving and [ __ ] Aquaman jumps onto the hood but the camera's like zooming around like it's spinning around the car like a [ __ ] yeah yeah all right it's not also that maybe with the stuff that's he's doing now it's all him whereas before he's gone with other

people like doing the screenwriting and stuff that could be too yeah like Dawn of the Dead you had James gun yeah MH Army de which is where you so from what saying isn't good it's him yeah screenwriting director so maybe it's one of those things where no one's starting to tell him no so he thinks he he's doing straight especi all the fans going we want the SN cut that's gonna go to your head wear yeah Peter Jackson's syndrome where yeah George Lucas yeah didn't happen to Christopher noan except for the audio thing I don't know man a lot of people [ __ ] hate tenet really I don't get that actually you know what there's someone there's someone who also because he refuses to use horseshit camera movements cuz he's literally got a film camera stuck on a

tripod or or and not just a film camera a [ __ ] IMAX film camera the really heavy one yeah his stuff is very grounded and that's why I actually think it's funny cuz Christopher Nolan as far as action goes he's got some Fantastic action sequences but they're not as over the top as people like when you think about it compared to something like you know like a Marvel or a DC movie they're not you know like even the hallway fight from Inception it's all very grounded I think that's to be for me that makes it better completely agree like old action movies sound design is over the top so yeah yeah oh and um Mad Max Fury Road like they just [ __ ] crashed cars into each other like there is the CG enhancement on madmax Fury Road but when you see a car [ __ ] flip over and

explode that's cuz they flipped a car over and blew it up mind you Matt there's there's only a diminishing return on that because I was watching some clips recently of the Spider-Man and Captain America movies from the 70s if you remember those and imagine doing a Marvel movie now and only being able to include things you can actually film you know sure yeah like it can't be like he flies up to the [ __ ] thing it's like he climbs onto the car that's going slow enough that a man can climb on it yeah and then we spread the footage up so all the leaves go it's yeah it's less super than like in you want superheroes to P Burton's Batman when the batmobile's tearing along that road and it's cuz the yeah like real quick have you guys seen that Batman fan film

that's kind of doing the rounds at the moment one where he fights the Predator no oh that was great that was so good no there's one there's one out there now that kind of dropped this week that's getting a lot of traction oh I haven't seen it I've bookmarked it but I haven't watched it yet the one where it becomes a prostitute oh that's good too that is that's also got some great ones out there the bank for Clues don't way matter the Batcave there's also that one where Batman gets kidnapped and anally raped and and this is not this is not one of ours you guys have seen that right you're right that does happen yeah that was weird I mean I feel like the description that you've just given makes it clear that that was weird but that was very strange yeah played

for absolute seriousness I love that that College Humor one where uh it's the Riddler and Batman's a helicopter no it's not a helicopter Batman like an idiot I'm going to kill her if you don't get the question right uh is it uh a tank no it's not a tank that was great I don't know if I know that one H it's B simple premise Riddler is going to kill this woman unless Batman gets the riddle right and Batman's an idiot it's very funny great I watched a movie this week I've been wanting to watch it for a little while and I found out that it's on Prime so I was able to watch Turbo kid this sounds like a Rodriguez movie that he made with his family it's uh it is a lowbudget film it was made it's a it's I don't

know exactly who the filmmaker is but it was a joint um Canada New Zealand production that it's kind of an indie thing it's about it's sort of like Mad Max with no budget and with Michael lionside as the villain which okay and a guy from [ __ ] mccloud's daughters as one of the main characters it's about this kid in a post-apocalyptic world where I guess they couldn't afford the cars and stuff or they just chose not to this could be stylistic so everybody rides around on push bikes that are like done up in like uh you know mad Maxi kind of way and uh it's about this kid who's trying to survive in the in the Wasteland and he uh meets this girl called apple and then they have an adventure well man I mean

that does sound [ __ ] awesome so it's it's silly but it's good it's very gory so bear that in mind okay great I uh I'm looking this up now there's turbo kid turbo Kid 2 and also something called te is for Turbo made by the same people turbo Kid 2 holy [ __ ] oh no it hasn't happened yet okay what is te uh oh okay apparently they're trying to get Turbo kid two off the ground tears for Turbo tears for Turbo is a completely different thing I think it looks very similar though is three directors same listing for all three movies oh this is a short film that the movie is based on there you go ah so they made a short and then somehow turned it into a feature good on there

there you go yeah yeah anyway it's cool little film uh I enjoyed it it's a lot of fun it's very it's simple it's not like you know it's not going to blow your mind or anything it's simple story but it's it's well done I liked it all right than you for to watch you can look the warts of it being like a lowbudget low budget but trying to do a science fiction post-apocalyptic thing you know you got to kind of give it some give it you know loosen up a bit on the uh suspension of disbelief sometimes but it's good yeah we made one once it's called the vacuum that's right yeah is about cleaning a house yeah I would watch that if we've got it somewhere and then David Lynch remade the vacuum uh when he remade Twin Peaks it was just a guy sweeping up for 20 minutes didn't

have vacuum couldn't afford it afford it low budget low budget man I went back into something and watched uh something based on our conversation of last week and I picked up American Gods at season 2 hey uh now I don't recall I soured to American Gods because I wanted it to be like the book and it wasn't yeah uh but when you dip back in and you're not expecting it to be like the book and you know the tone and you can just watch it for what it is it's very good yeah and so I watched season two and and liked it very very much and mad Sweeney by the end of that season became my favorite character and those last couple of episodes of his backstory and his death are just [ __ ] amazing it's great it's

it I I think I mean look I don't know a whole lot about the the back story I know that Neil giman fired the showrunner from season one because they disagreed I think we talked about the other week uh they disagreed on some Al stuff so maybe that's why it improved and yeah so maybe it is just better and it's not just perception cuz I know he he presumably has a lot of control over over maybe more so after that happened so but yeah know it's really good season 3 is great so far really like yeah yeah I've started it too I'm about three episodes in so early days but um the tone is very different for season 3 but I find the tone is more like the novel yeah like it's much more kind of slow burn and yeah because they they you know there are characters who just kind of some

characters even just only get a name drop in the in the book and then in this they're like they got a whole sub weekly recurring characters yeah like what's his name you the taxi drivers [ __ ] a main character in this now it's one chapter in the book yeah and he's just now he's just chasing the Gin down like it's but it's great for that reason it's like oh actually you know what these characters are really interesting cuz that's you know Neil gim writes great characters so why not oh and you know Laura's Story is way expanded upon yeah yeah one thing that I was curious about it I know we discussed it when it came up but uh it was out of context because I hadn't watched this far but why was Orlando Jones removed or was it simply because that was odd events the events

just don't take place around character it does it's yeah so I what they said was he said it's because they're bunch of racist and I don't think I don't see how that's possible considering the cast no I think he was just angry that he was let go not included there's like two white people in the show Ian mshan and [ __ ] Emily Browning everyone El it's like so diverse oh I'm sorry and then they swap out like characters that can morph like what's his name's hardly in it now um krisen Glover yes krisen Glover because that character changes appearance so often yeah it's so diverse so I I mean I know nothing but I suspect it's he was probably a pain in the ass but here's the thing he is also on season 2 at least credited as an associate producer right none of the

other cast are but he is H So Not only was he removed as a cast member he's also removed as a producer yeah well so something went down there must be something well and and I mean to be honest the fuss that he made about it and the accusations if doesn't seem like there's a lot of Truth to them so maybe that's what it is maybe he's just y I know I don't know anything about it other than that but yeah it does seem suspicious to me based on the fact that I don't see any of his what he said doesn't seem true at all that that they're a bunch of racists like I don't see how that can be true based on what I'm looking at on this on the screen yeah the show I'm watching is not a racist show it's one of the most diverse shows on television right now like yeah

[ __ ] got everybody's represented so the only show that's less racist than this is Lovecraft country right and Lovecraft country is arguably less diverse because it focuses on on a particular culture whereas this is like all cultures like it's just Gods from all over the place and they worshipers you yeah yeah which is why it's so good yes but it offends everyone equally yeah love craft country are in trouble this week and the producers have cut come out and apologized after one of the extras from one of the episodes has come out on social media and said that they darkened her skin so that she was blacker than she really is oh oh huh now she said it she said I was HED as an extra I'm a woman of color but they made me blacker and I'm angry about

it and the show U spok people came out and said we're very sorry we should never have done that but I put to you the context right let me give you the context she was playing a character an established character as a younger woman so she was playing an old lady who we had already seen as a younger woman and she presumably features matched and they were just trying to features were similar but tone was lighter now is that okay or is that black face it sounds like I mean this article I I mean look at I guess that's up to that's between her and she was really [ __ ] offended okay yeah cuz it looks like here I mean to me that sounds perfectly reasonable she she noticed

that they didn't tell her they were doing it too that's what it this this the way that this is shown it sounds like they just started doing it and they didn't say that they were going to do it and she was like foundation's a bit dark and then so yeah I don't know about that I guess I mean if it upset her then it's not okay they at least should have discuss it yeah I think maybe that's that's the Crux of it right yeah yeah that's a shame too because that show is just so not like that I guess if I say although as a white guy maybe I'm not qualified to determine whether that's the case but it just seems like it's not you know I wouldn't have expected this kind of controversy from that show no you wouldn't right especially not this particular controversy yeah but I think

there's this whole spectrum of colorism that we are just not Prov within the community of perceived value of being lighter or darker I mean Luke's our expert on this sort of thing what what do you think luk is this okay there is no point in us even discussing this as I said before three white guys are not going to solve racism really all right fine you know a lot of people say white people are the problem so I say white people to be the solution that's what Hitler said and look how that worked out oh did you just compare me to Hitler [Music] again I must say you know that there's that one picture that they keep using of Zack Snider directing Henry caval and Ben Affleck and he's obviously pointing

at something off stage but they use it as the thumbnail of every Snider cut story with his fingers yeah it really looks like he's doing a hitless he's got a little flipper yeah that too look we've got some other racism news if you want to get to it or we could just tease we could just we could just tease that the Afterparty might be a little bit racy racy don't say that racial racist we could talk about uh Netflix is cracking down on on something that that is kind of one of the the core uses of Netflix which is just sharing a password around and having multiple profiles something that they actually said like like four years ago there's no point trying to combat they know what happens

yeah now they're trying but how are they going to try so I read that they're going to send you a text message saying what's the phone number of the person who account it's like well if I'm using someone's account I probably know them well enough to have their phone number pH number yeah yeah so I think if you're you know there's the obviously there's the account holder and then if they detect people are logging in from different locations you know via IP address or whatever then they're going to yeah they're going to start saying prove that you know the person and then you can easily prove it I assume if you're a actual family that won't be too difficult and then you can go about your business but who who are these people who are letting people in different

locations that aren't family use their oh I mean obviously it must be happening like well know that we we you know we share I should know I should be admitting this on the air but we share a Netflix account with Jenna's family and we're different we're often locations yeah but yeah yeah yeah so do we but thing is like I'm paying for that many screens yeah like it's not like I'm sharing the one screen I think if you're sharing the one screen yeah definitely sure but I'm sh I'm paying for like four screens but the thing is you're supposed to all be living in the same house as per the yeah but I'm I'm paying for four screets I'm using three yeah no no I I I'm I'm with you and they they're not yet like cracking down at that level but it's just kind of I don't know this they

might at some point I guess because the problem with Netflix so not the problem with Netflix the problem Netflix has is most people already have it and when you're a publicly traded company like Netflix is publicly traded I believe you've got to keep growing or apparently you're doing it wrong and yeah at a certain point people are going to stop signing up because everybody's already signed up and so they're going to have to do stuff like this to make people have to pay for you know more of it Well's that thing like they cancel shows that people like cuz that's not getting people to subscribe they've already got them they do one the next yeah they need to get the next series out that's going to bring more people in but yeah you got to get to a stage where just accept this

is about a buddy you're going to bake yeah well that that's not how it works though when you're a shareholder are the are the people in charge you got to keep raking in money growth it's all about growth yep that's when you start acquiring other companies and you start yes porting your content to different platforms yes y so maybe Netflix is going to acquire Tik Tok and then at that point the announcements are more important than the actual content because that's when who owns Tik Tok now uh Oracle bought it I think in the US or that that's or something it was what what was what 6 months ago was Tik tok's going to be banned and then people were in talks to buy and then I haven't heard about it ever again yeah they wanted a US company

to own the US branch of of Tik Tok which all right um it makes some they wanted at least the servers to be in the United States it makes s well I think well Tik Tok said they were but then that's not good enough cuz you know they don't trust the the Chinese government I guess so so they got to uh got to get someone American in charge of it cuz the most trustworthy people on I don't actually see how it makes that much different if it's like but you know well they're stealing your data not someone else yeah but how yeah is my ride as an American to choose who steals my data who whoever's whatever who wherever the person running the the software of the Chinese company is doesn't [ __ ] matter like if it's the same software

unless you're going to have I mean maybe they're going to have go over it and just make sure it's not doing anything you know yeah they will Matt Chinese engineers in [ __ ] that's what I'm saying yeah anyway whatever it's all bit silly I mean it's not and it is it's not silly and it is silly I feel like it's just yeah one of those Luke uh have you done any more work on your Ecto one it is finished hey complete Lego sent me the replacement parts I finished building it so the movie will be coming out this year now that's great so I'm less concerned about the film Ghostbusters and I'm more concerned about the future of Lego and here's why Lego are hiring a new creative director

which I think is good New Vision you know with young blood in there they're going to hire a kid I think this is a great great idea so do why how fun is this Lego are hiring a kid to be their creative director interesting not a kid at heart sadly like no an actual kid an actual kid a child but get that what do you want Y how old is this kid cuz there are child labor laws I'm just curious how that works well I I don't think it's going to be like they're there fulltime it's like a from what reading this it's like a you're going to get like $10,000 so it's going to be it's an honorary position yeah but I'm sure they're going to going to take some of your ideas and uh and

get the instructions online and just order pieces do you think there was a meeting where they were like all right uh what can we license Indiana Jones and then somebody went sorry you want to make Lego Nazis and then they went yeah you're right let's not do that if this is real there's a whole lot of these really segments from the films ambush in Cairo Venice Canal Chase fighter plane attack the Temple of Doom I.E the actual Temple so there are Lego nais is that what you're telling me or do they just not make those bits of it I'm just curious those bits those bits I can't see right yes they can hold on I'll paste it in you're kidding well first I'll just I'll just paste in this uh link to just all the sets is there the is there the bit where he meets Hitler

on surely not well Matt there's little uh there's little native peruvians chasing him in the uh in the jungle tomb on the wing you can make a lego man being [ __ ] Blended by a plane that's my that's my my son's favorite scene from Indiana Jones he's two when the man gets chopped up by the [ __ ] Blades of a plane oh when he fights that big beef cake yeah yeah I mean it's a great scene but this is great though oh man definitely going to have to look into this so I was um there's this YouTuber called toy collector who does um videos about 80s era Collectibles yes but he also does reviews of 80s era cartoon shows

because um and I think most of our listeners are probably aware every single cartoon show you watched in the 80s and just thought it was a great show was a 30 minute ad yeah for toys toys that existed toys always came first Transformers Voltron He-Man all of them all of them but when I was a kid I was always acutely aware that there were two Voltron yes right yeah yeah cuz I [ __ ] loved Voltron but occasionally I turn it on and it' be the Voltron with cars for feet I lik that one better than the lion one okay okay so so this will interest you right I had that Voltron did you yeah that's great I had the line but actually I wanted that one I did want that one there are actually three Voltron but one never made it to air and here's why cartoon shows back in the 80s

in order to get into syndication had to have 65 episodes okay right because they were on every day 5 days a week and I think here they just aired on the weekends so we saw just one a Saturday morning for a decade but you had to have 65 right so at a certain point American Distributors started realizing that they could buy pre-made shows from Japan revoice them and put them out right like Mighty Mor from Power Ranges and all that correct correct but they needed 65 and Japan didn't have seasons that long right so that always by completely different unrelated shows and mix them together under one Banner so that's why there two I'm sure yeah there's actually three rootch as Luke can probably tell you is is three separate shows put into one Southern Cross and I forget what the

third one is really so Voltron the voltr with the Lions is called like [ __ ] robot lion force or something yeah then there's the vehicle one then there's a completely different one and the way that they add it was all the lion ones first then all the car ones but the lion ones were so popular that kids knew that as Voltron and then when they saw this other thing brand did exactly the same but seemingly with nothing to do with it they all tuned out Voltron was cancelled and they never add any of the third volon series what was he in the third one what was Voltron just some other big robot from some other show that's [ __ ] weird it makes you go you know like I don't know like the Artistic integrity of the [ __ ] show goes out the window at that point like you know

you look at something like Evangelion which is like someone's Creative Vision and then you've got volon which is like his three shows just slap them together and hopefully the kids will buy the toys what happened with Robotech was they wanted to just show that first series no you had to have 138 episodes ready to go for cartoons then yeah right and so they had to go back and go okay well we'll just put these all together and work out the story the story actually is quite good I actually quite like the story it goes across and they make it work well but yeah it was just because no you need more episodes but I actually think with Robotech as opposed to Voltron where they just stacked the back to back I think they actually re-edited Robotech so that bits from this were introduced

earlier than they were meant to and things like that so that there was some consistency so there was kind of an artistic Vision to it yeah right even with like suon cross they have like flashbacks and but the ending the in ending of like the entire series is just a bit of a cop out cuz you're waiting for big ship to come back you're waiting for Rick hunt Admiral Rick Hunter to come back in the scf3 all these ships fly back into Earth and they go the scf3 didn't come out of space don't worry about and go Contin fight that's the last you hear about it this thing has been building up wor It All season no don't worry about it they just didn't appear we don't have any footage of that move on that's funny they have tried a few times to do it again um there was rootch

Shadows where Mark HL did some voice acting yeah right oh I listened to uh this podcast that uh you guys might like it's it's actually it's it's an the expanse podcast oh it's called Ty and that guy it's it's Ty I forget his surname he's one of the writers of the books and he's obviously one of the show Runners and then um Wes chadam who plays Amos in the expanse who's might be my favorite character although I do F but he's a [ __ ] great character uh they have a podcast where they basically they rewatching the expanse and they talk about each episode and the behind the the scenes stuff and tell Bunch actors that's really great and they're both huge movie fans so they basically just [ __ ] on about [ __ ] alien and and all these movies and stuff for ages it's a

it's a really entertaining podcast and they had um uh [ __ ] what's his name Miller Thomas Jane Thomas Jane they had Thomas Jane on one episode where I Le I learned that Thomas Jane was homeless when he moved to LA he was living in his car and until he I mean he looks Homeless was a reason for that and he dropped out of high school I should say to move to Los Angeles and live in his car and become an actor but then the other day they had Ron Perman on which is unrelated so the podcast is now evolved with like let's just have our [ __ ] friends on and talk about movies that's why it's it's actually a really great podcast but Ron Perman was talking about um uh he was in that ice Pirates movie which is it's like a shitty sci-fi star warsof in that yeah yeah yeah and

because they go through time and yeah cuz W Chad's like oh let me tell you what's great about ice Pirates and R P's like please do I love that movie and so they're talking about that and then he mentions with ch mentions the last star fighter which is one of your favorites and apparently that's the last of those types of movies that they made the last star fighter was and it's the first movie that had fully CGI ships and stuff in it and that's why it looks [ __ ] yeah because he and because West Chan's like our age and he was saying that he always when he watches it he thinks oh man they didn't even have the budget to finish the special effects and then then Tai's

like I'll stop you there that was the special effects that's that's it that cost millions of dollars that [ __ ] that they did wow and did it look good at the time I don't know well I'm not sure yeah it's been a while since I saw it but you mean where it's spinning around and shooting and stuff yeah I remember that happens and in my head in my head it looks [ __ ] amazing yeah but I just trying to think cuz I actually watched it a few months ago and yeah it doesn't look good now but back when I was young coolest thing in the world absolutely I I still think they should do like just do like a Tron legacy thing and just go back and yeah a sequel not a reboot cuz I imagine it was supposed to well it was in theory going to kick off a whole thing cuz that's what they were that's

what they kept trying to do is you know at the end of it is he goes off back to space comes back sort of gets his girlfriend goes back to space so he's going to rebuild yada yeah franchises were what they wanted I think at that back then and so they were just throwing all sorts of [ __ ] at the wall to see what would stick and then apparently that was the last one of those movies and then they like you know what [ __ ] it we're done with the space stuff for now the80s is over that's right and then obviously it's back now but yeah anyway really interesting and is [ __ ] hilarious I really recommend the podcast called Ty and that guy which is a reference to the show that if you've seen the expanse you'll know why it's called that and if you don't that's fine

do we have to avoid spoilers a little bit there's a reason Amos guess where's Chad the reason he's referred to as that guy is is something from the show okay okay but yeah highly recommended even if even if I mean I guess if you haven't seen the expanse it might have a limited appeal but they talk about other stuff anyway like the ones with the one with Ron pman they don't even talk about the expans they just talk about you know space movies and [ __ ] and Beauty and the Beast [ __ ] red that he was in oh yeah his with L Hamilton yeah you know he got mountains and mountains of [ __ ] from a horny women and he yeah and he's like the just goes to [ __ ] he was like what the [ __ ] is wrong with these women like he go he goes that just goes to show how good Rick Baker [Laughter]

is oh he's also got a book out that he mentions in it which I now want to pick up which is just a book about it's called easy street the hard way and it's a joke because everyone think he said everyone thinks that because he's uh he's been in a bunch of movies that he's rich and he's got like five houses and stuff and he's like yeah it doesn't work like doesn't work like that when well he says it doesn't look like work like that when you look like I look but well I mean he's a working actor oh yeah I don't think he's complaining I think he's just trying to he's just saying like it's not you know I'm not a not a [ __ ] Millionaire right he's he he has work yeah interesting Matt I'm I'm very aware of his Beauty in the beast but I don't think I've actually

ever seen it have you seen it like have you ever watched an episode when I was a kid it was I'm aware of it but I'm not I've seen bits of it but I've never watched an episode apparently it was was a huge hit and I don't know if that's yeah because it's my parents watched it I'm sure yeah it was on in the evenings so it's not like it was like a daytime drama or something so no no no no it was like a like a dark adult Series yeah but there I mean mostly what I know about is from hearing them talk about it but I know that it was a huge success so maybe it's worth watching I don't know it looks like a music video for like Bonnie Tyler or something from the 80s right or was it 80s or 90s yeah I'm going to check it out yeah oh it's like well 80s yeah okay
