Atlantean Air Bowls: Borderlands Movie Casting & Gina Carano Exits Star Wars

another week another trailer it's finally dropped I just watched it and I don't remember what the first movie Justice League movie was about so I don't remember what's new or what's different it's all new just looks like a Batman and Superman movie I'm not going to enjoy I feel I think the the the the excuse me can't speak I think the other one can just be forgotten I don't think I think they're canceling it out now this one a racis yeah for a number of reasons which we'll get into later I think that any scene from the old movie that's in this is going to be considerably darker yeah and in a different context from it seems I've got to say I'm not excited about this movie in any way but this is a good trailer I would have

watched this and I'm kind of annoyed that I have to watch this again in fact I'm I'm annoyed I had to watch the first one now legitimately don't forget you got to watch 4 hours of it I'm okay with that I can watch a long movie I'm just I'm just shitty that I had to watch a [ __ ] version of this first welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy well I look I'm one of the people that said actually the Justice League movie was the best of them so far so I guess maybe uh maybe I won't like this cuz I didn't enjoy Batman vers super man

at all and no one enjoyed that Matt well how anyone who enjoyed it is lying to themselves I just don't see how this could not be like that I mean it's literally what people wanted was like make Justice League the way Zack Snyder would have made it which is like the other movies he made which I didn't like cut out all the quips that Jos Weeden put in yeah Batman was too funny make him everybody just more Cy yeah what if the Justice League were all [ __ ] with looks like we're probably going to have to watch it on binge in Australia which is just terrible binge all right well I was going to cancel that so I I'll keep it on at least for this this episode is brought to you by [Laughter]

learn from your mistakes right yeah you can't you can't fault him for that well Heath Ledger prob mistakes which means you get a different actor it's Heath Ledger he Phoenix mix like a mix of them like yeah yeah long hair looks like cuz he doesn't you can't see like the face tattoos or anything and yeah they're just crossing [ __ ] off the list that people didn't like they just go to Reddit read down the comments just get rid of anything nobody liked I can't imagine Zack Snider doing that cuz for all the you know the dislike that I had for these movies he does have a vision and he seems stick to it yeah you know what I mean like he's not he doesn't seem to give a [ __ ] with anybody he thinks yeah I mean he's not what I would call a Visionary but he does have a

vision they're consistent yes yes they are consistent they're nothing if not consistent yeah so March 18th did you say Luke yep all right we finally get to I can't believe this happened we poo pooed this for so long and we were I still hate the fact that this has happened and I really hope it's not good because if this is good people are just going to go well we want the last [ __ ] I remade and that all those voices will come back and they've done it here and at work so thing was like all your decisions are going to cuz you imported your character you imported your decisions it was all leading up to that and then it just got to the end and you had red or red or blue or if you did a bit of extra you

had that third middle section it did have stuff like that though for example tally [ __ ] committed suicide in my game and oh yeah you did not do well that's what I'm saying there were a few things J what did you do to us I don't remember what did you do to her I think something like I don't remember specifics but I think it was something like the quaran fleet got blown up and I'd been like encouraging her like oh no you'd be a good leader I'm sure nothing will go wrong and then it didn't go well I think it was something like that and then so she just threw herself off a cliff uh so that wasn't that wasn't my finest moment as Commander Shepherd and I feel like something happened with Miranda as well I feel like there were a few things that I was

like oh well [ __ ] all right so there were things like that it's just yeah the ending was like yeah all right choose what you want I'm still looking forward to playing through it again hello I'm a ghost child what would you like the to be much as not as much as Miranda's butt this time though oh I'm sorry Luke you'll be disappointed is it worth buying it at this point honestly there'll be a mod somebody will do a mod put butt back the pictures that they're using as examples and it is true like it is a bit weird like you're having a conversation and Face's in front of the camera wide angle lens I just think it's also I think it's very funny that I didn't really notice that that was happening at the time I was just like this game is great you

didn't notice but your dick noticed yeah exactly it's my favorite Master Effect game I don't know why yeah fromed good as I remember you didn't notice but your brain did yeah no my character still the character I'll be trying to romance will still be now I think it's her name's Rachel Rachel which one was Rachel she is you're basically she's on the ship and basically your assistant yeah she she's the one you could you could romance her and somebody else if I recall oh yes cuz you can romance like one of the main characters and well you can romance her and then like convince her to have a thre Sim no no no it's just like a little bonus romance like if you know like if you choose Jack you can't have Miranda kind of thing but I

mean and as I discovered on my first playthrough if you choose Jack but then still flirt with Miranda Jack's like [ __ ] off [ __ ] well fair I know if you play as F ship you can't be with Miranda oh that's is that true I don't remember yeah I only played uh Mass Effect 3 as F oh that was the other issue I had with Mass Effect 3 was that I played two on PC so I couldn't import my SA m a bit too so I didn't get actually certain characters weren't even in the game depending on the how I don't know if it's if you got the manually Pier randomly generated you start or something like that yeah cuz I did I did I didn't finish number one oh had the comic book thing yeah that's right from when I played

number two I did that little comic book that I here's what I would have done if I had finished the game and so it decided which characters lived and died based on that I think you could pick certain things but then it just like left out you know like if you had imported a game like a you know a character you'd interacted with and the past would kind of just pop up whereas in my game it was like well I'm not going to bother because you won't know who these people are kind of it was it was like that I guess like like like the the the reporter type thing like the one where you have that confrontation with her in the first game and that sort of follows on for the others it inconsequential stuff like like well we'll swap this out with a random MPC to

avoid confusing you when your character's like oh I remember you and you're like who the [ __ ] is that cuz they're not going to waste time explaining it yeah they're not actually part of the story that you need to really concern yourself with and if you're not going to take the time to play the other games screw you yeah but this time I will so this is exciting um and I don't know where to go from here because there's there's some other kind of political sci-fi Saga news yes that we could talk about MH or we could Circle back and talk about why we don't like Josh Weeden anymore we could do that I the Josh Weeden one I'm still finding funny at the moment not not funny but [ __ ] hilarious I don't

think Charis MP think it's funny no no but what what I sort of found weird is this sort of stuff sort of came out a couple of years ago but didn't go anywhere it was just very oh he was terrible but then nothing came of it I think longer than that there''s always been little rumors that Jos Weeden was a bit of a prick like just over time like I know there you know people used to say oh something like you know like he left his wife and and he was he was a prick about it but then he was kind of a very feminist figure for a while buff and you know his his strong then a few of them came out and kind of pointed out some of the writers on Buffy pointed out the irony that he was considered a feminist icon when he was such a [ __ ] to women yeah there's been been rumors about it

and now it's like I think basically Charisma Carpenter has come out and said you know he was horrible to her on set and basically gave her lifelong confidence issues cuz he was just such a prick yeah he was a bully he was an absolute bully and when she got pregnant he basically was [ __ ] horrible to her and uh that's why Cordelia had a bit of a a bit of a [ __ ] show on the on Angel yeah written out of the show it was sort of weird like cuz it's a question that he shouldn't have asked it the way he did like are you going to keep it like it's yes because it is a question that it sort of he sort of has to ask like as he's writing the show are you going to be pregnant during the show because that's well it's important we

need to know but also yeah but how you do bring bring that up is yeah not oh are you going to get rid or yeah especially I think it was in the context of her losing her figure which is uh you know none of his [ __ ] business really yeah and it I mean it sounds like there was it sounds like that's not like that's the specific mention but shees it sound like there other things and now a lot of have come out and Amber has that that it was a toxic working environment and that well wasn't there also Michelle came out and said uh we he we weren't allowed to be he wasn't allowed to be in the same room with me yes um Michelle tackenberg said I'm brave enough as a 35y old woman to repost this because this must be known as a teenager with his not appropriate

behavior very not appropriate so M but here's what I don't quite follow along with because I mean that implies that he was being right sexual right but I mean they just use the word misconduct but then Ray Fisher will also say misconduct I I'm sure they didn't molest Ray Fisher I'm not sure she's saying he molested her I think it sounds like he was just very aepo jokes and things that's what it sounds like unfortunately cuz she's not saying any more of that and there's no more information cuz it just said like very like she does make that distinction it's just strange but yeah I think it's there's it's just a bully from the sounds of it yeah and S Michelle G who's who's almost never said anything on this topic has come out said I'm happy to be associated with Buffy for the rest of my

life but I don't want to be associated with Jos Weeden and that's the last thing you're going to hear me say on the matter MH yeah and please people you're still allowed to like Buffy firly but yeah yeah I don't want to see the whole thing where we've got where you're not allowed to like Harry Potter now oh God yeah no no you're still allowed to like Buffy there's a lot of there's a lot of people's hard work that went into that that's not Sweden yeah uh I think there it is a shame because you know I he seemed like a cool guy you know like we kind of idolized him a little bit and we would watch anything he had his name on cre a lot of stuff that we that really landed with us when we were when we were

younger so not so much when we got older but no well actually that's not true he did Avengers yeah yeah so but then he did Justice Le but we can't really blame him for that all right well he was with that he sort of brought on later and probably had a lot of you're doing this now make make it he was probably told make it Avengers yeah that's right and he probably said to them at the time a lot of this is already done I can't really do a good job of this and they were like do it anyway the trck of money I recall galado saying that not not she not saying a whole lot about it but I do remember a story about when they were shooting and Jos wanted a gag of flash falling on Wonder Woman and

getting his face in her tits and her being like that's not I don't think that really matches the tone and I don't I'm not sure why we would want to do that and then he was like my tits aren't big enough that that'll land as a joke but I do recall that being a where she was like why is why is that going in there why is that face going in there I'd love to see J Weeden try to bully galado like you know like I'm sure Michelle trenburg was you know like you know a young actress and didn't know what to do like what do I got to do okay yeah it's [ __ ] been in the Israeli Army she's not going to stand for that [ __ ] I can't imagine she would no but there's also the stories of like he's bragging about making women cry in meetings M well yeah that's been a

Hollywood thing for a while is is not necessarily just even women but just treating your actors like [ __ ] to get a good performance that was Kubrick's thing right and now people are saying like oh maybe we shouldn't be celebrating the fact that doing that yeah these are just [ __ ] yeah I guess I guess there's an argument for getting an authentic performance from somebody by upsetting them is there no I I guess maybe maybe not that's yeah go make the argument convince us the argument is that it's authentic Dan and yeah you're right no you're right we should probably no I'll note that I'll note that it is what I think it is it is something that could work but if it's something that's agreed to imag push you and push you yeah shff

being like dude [ __ ] break me I need to be in tears for this remember the first packs we went to and it was the the Bioshock panel and they played that video of [ __ ] Ken LaVine and Troy Baker harassing um I can't I can't remember the the actress's name Elizabeth just [ __ ] trying to make to upset her and it seemed like everybody was on board with it so it's kind of more appropriate than this but it was just played for last when I guess technically if she wasn't actually on board with it and she was kind of but yeah like but yeah what does bullying a screenwriter do to improve their per performance like that's MH but and there's also a difference between like if you're an established actor and you're you're a team and you're all

friends and you're just doing it to kind of bring out emotion to if this is a child or or like a young actress who's who doesn't really know the industry and you're being a pricked to her like that's pretty different yeah yeah yeah or you're Stanley cubric and you're just basically gaslighting Shelley Duval into thinking she's insane CU that's the [ __ ] performance you want and then even after the film's ended you just don't say anything to her ever again and just let her think she's gone a little mad yeah that sucks that's not a good thing to do oh Anthony head has he's actually quite upset about this from um from an interview where he was asked about it and he said that he's just he's just horribly disappointed that he never noticed and he said he doesn't mean that

from the point of view of you know like a a man washing his hands of of this kind of thing he genuinely didn't realize and he feels awful about it cuz yeah he was actually saying like he felt like sort of a bit of a father the figure on set and so he actually feels like he's failed them by not cuz he missed it he missed that it was happening and he should have done so about it so so that's another layer of [ __ ] up to it yeah but he shouldn't I mean there were probably 50 people on set every time oh right yeah you know like I think I think the problem here is not that Jos Weeden is an [ __ ] it's that there's a systemic problem within the film and entertainment industry in general and probably across the board all industries that bad behavior was

tolerated all the all the Pricks rise to the top that was my experience when I when I was in that industry for a little bit that's why yeah and this is something that's been coming for a while this it's it's no longer the good long gone of the casting couches and yeah all that stuff I still got mine it's just I can't get anybody to sit in it anymore yeah that's right I mean let alone bend over it that's right I mean that's how we that's how Luke obviously met Dan and I when we we were holding auditions for this show the problem with that too isn't Matt and I know there's a video of that mattt I know you you have some some experience in this too in in order to do your job well with on a film set you kind of have to be a bit of a prick y I

could and I don't like that yeah like I don't like falling into that because you do you end up just barking orders at people you end up kind of you know just speaking to people in a way that at the time you have to justify to yourself as like well if I don't say it like this no one will react so here's here's me being being an [ __ ] so you'll actually get off your ass and do what I need you to do but it's like it's not a good feeling yeah because people have basically been trained not to listen to you unless you're like that's right being at some level of intensity that I'm not able to to manufacture you yeah that's right yeah yeah and unfortunately I am and I just just felt dirty you know you need to show I work better if people don't yell at me same yeah yep yep I would

agree with that like and also don't molest me oh well that policy's changed or if you're going to molest him ask yeah happily hug anyone wink just ask first hugging their dicks hugging Ray fish's dick is that what he's alleging I don't know but I'm looking for I'm looking forward to actually hearing Ray Fisher talk and have some acting and story maybe we'll learn about Cyborg's character a little more yeah we'll learn like one or two things in the movie yeah cuz that's one of the stupid things about his character like with a lot of other characters they're not doing an origin story well then they have but cuz we know the origin story but not many people know Cyborg and how

that happened and they really just glossed over that and went and cbol here as well kind of I kind of think not really yeah cly not a lot of depth to it and I assume it's because Ray Fisher is the least famous of the hul cast and that sure as someone Studio or Weeden or someone along the line went do we have to see so much of this guy but then all you get is an underdeveloped character yeah yeah so if you're not going to have him really give anything to the show why have him there at all right and that's why I think he was just sort of left over from theid as one he's got to be there but is he traditionally a member of the Justice League I don't know a lot about the Justice League but I don't think I believe so yes okay cuz I didn't know who cyborg was even

whereas I knew the others and so I wondered if like Zack Snider had a a purpose for him in mind that we kind of didn't get to see really in the I've seen him in some cartoons and stuff and like I know he's a character I just wasn't sure why he was picked to be in this movie you know because we never got to see him do anything particularly like important to the plot unless maybe I'm misremembering it but I I just feel like he probably had not be misremembering Matt I I think it was minimized to the point where we were all a bit confused what like usually in these movies when they bring in a new character it's because their abilities have some relevance to the plot or at least they they make an effort to try and tie that in somehow you know what I mean whereas

in this case I didn't I don't I don't recall them actually really trying to do that he was just there yeah unfortunately with these movies you don't need anyone except for Superman cuz he can just do everything yeah although and now I'm Rec calling as well why the [ __ ] was Aquaman there on land I also here's my other problem with Aquaman right you know how Aquaman lives in the sea and therefore like can talk to [ __ ] sea animals right yes mhm I live on land can people from the sea assume that I just talk to [ __ ] every animal oh you're from the you're from the land what's this elephant doing what when you tell Charlie to sit what happens that's one animal one like all right start off small you're just going to keep going he probably

pretty widely reported um Cass anvar uh one of the cast members was soliciting sexual favors from fans allegedly at conventions and was fired yeah and so they had talked about I mean basically he's not coming back for next season and so we kind of speculated on on how that would happen because he's a main character yeah his character Alex is is a main character my God he's 54 yeah I know oh W he looks good for 54 does he he does look good for 54 guess he was relying on that so do you want me to tell you how he he exited the show I mean yeah and just to give you some context Matt I was kind of jealous that you were watching this new season and I wanted to catch up but realized that I couldn't really remember where I was up

to or what was happening so in the last couple of days I've gone back to episode one and I watched all the way through season 1 again yeah so I'm still a little behind you but I've got this in my head now like I anytime he's on screen I just can't I just can't handle him so I'm happy to know how he eventually dies I think that's why they had to get rid of him he and he's in this season quite a lot I sort of do because I have heard how he exits and it's I kind of like it I laughed when it happened because so okay this is a spoiler for season 5 of the expanse although everybody knows that this is kind of going to happen so I don't know I'll try and avoid spoiling anything else but uh he dies of a

stroke just unceremoniously there's a little bit of setup right because the reason it happens is because he um he as part of the the plot of the episode is forced to decelerate very quickly from a a fast travel like a bur fast burn in space which is dangerous and I imagine that originally when they when they written the script he didn't die of a stroke yeah and then they just changed so but I laughed because there actually there's a whole lot bunch of other stuff going on and they they're kind of going to to deal with some problems and then it's like okay everything's resolved and it just cuts back to him and he's just dead and I was like I actually laughed out loud like okay there's no Hero's death there's no he sacrificed himself there's

no yeah it's just dead so he's just sitting in the Pilot's chair with a nose bleed and just dead yep great and then they have a couple conversations about it like not overly you know just like well yeah Alex is gone but did they invite him back to film that episode do you know what I mean like at what point did he I think they may have shot it and I think actually I could go back and it's a still it's a freeze frame yeah I think it's a freeze frame that they've animated the background on I think that is probably true cuz he's obviously he's not moving or anything I think it's just a shot of him in the chair that they've put some stuff on so amazing y that's just a great way to deal with that did you read the text that the fan in question had published what's that as

I did the the fan that he sexually harassed published the log of dialogue between the two of them and he is a [ __ ] bully really for STS it's one of those ones where there'll be like a one-word reply from her and it's like MH no you know yeah and then just dozens of messages and and they start off oh come on come on and then when that doesn't work it's like well you you're not going to get anything better than me and then when that doesn't work it's like you're a [ __ ] [ __ ] like it's just it's really really gross I don't even know how to call it yeah it's disgusting well good RS piss off and they've kind of set up you know a way

to move on with there's only one more season they're doing the books continue further but uh that was going to be my question cuz he's obviously still in the books yes so this is obviously a departure from the books well they already departur departure departed from the books okay like there are characters in the show that are not in the books like drama for example I don't think is in the books at all I've not encountered her yet but she's quite a main character in the show and yeah I just love I love the hat that Thomas Jane wears many howb his yeah well you know you read that story where they had him in and they cast him and everything and

they were like all right so here's the costume and there was a hat and he was like well that's not that's not the right hat and then the casting oh the sorry the Wardrobe people were like what do you mean and he's like I've got a hat and it's the hat and they're like we' this is the one that and he's like no no no trust me and he went and got a hat from home and then like everybody was like yeah that's the hat so the hat that he's wearing in the show is his hat his hat yeah he like I've got the Hat that's going to be me in my next television show or movie I've got the hat like I got the Hat I'm made it myself in Paris it's purple y going to go back and make a different one mhm although we both bought hats when we were in Bal right

buy a hat yeah I bought a hat too did you did have you worn your hat I've W around you have to stop buying hats don't wear them I bought two hats yesterday I got to stop buying them too I I do know right I love buying hats more than I love wearing hats I don't even go outside anymore no I wear hats all the time yeah it's true guys I I went out to dinner on Friday night and it I realized it's been like a year since I've been out to dinner and had to wear like nice pants and and I realized none of my clothes fit me anymore like I don't want bulk from SW from going to the gym it's that Luke it's that let's let's that I've completely slacked off I'm no longer working out in any any real great amount well you got

to work on that Dad bod yeah and I mean I've I've not gotten as big as I probably could have so I guess I should be a little glad of that but I do need to need to start I I have been going to the gym but I think it's not there's no visible progress because it's it's basically just counterbalancing my unhealthy lifestyle I think the reason only reason I haven't blown up is because Jenna is pregnant so I'm not drinking any beer anymore like I have the occasional kind of whiskey when I'm doing something but that's not as not the same as drinking you know a few a bunch of beers on the weekend or whatever so yeah I put on a lot of weight when we went to Europe cuz I was drinking a lot of beer yeah I mean I drink a lot of beer now and I think that's probably why I've put on a lot of

trans I think okay a relative of his is trans and so I mean I don't know if that had anything to do with anything because they all seemed like they were friends you know but I mean [ __ ] who knows Disney might require them to act like their friends who knows like what the truth is well you can't really have them really go when in the same show it looks really bad if they go out and just start bad mathing the other actors exactly but here's the other thing guys um she's a [ __ ] terrible actor yeah so the show is no worse off for having her I think the show was about to take it it's like next season's going to be very different direction honestly anymore there was no reason for her to come back in the second season no I

think she was supposed to be in the ranges of the new Republic show but obviously that's not happening now they all all Disney said basically was that like she's not signed on for anything else and we' have no plans to sign her on for anything else she's not involved in Star Wars anymore and she's like well [ __ ] you any post now if you watch go on Instagram any post that Disney put up or Star Wars puts up it's all bring back jeer and well maybe they will bring back her character cuz there's a light at the end of the tunnel here uh I was I was alerted by my wife to this petition to uh to replace her with a with a very well-known actor as we all know when John favro had trouble on Iron Man because teren Howard yeah you know due to contract disagreements uh wanted to

be paid what his contract said he should be paid so he he he he left and then somebody stepped in to fill in the role and then now the same thing's happening again favro is in trouble he needs someone to replace Kyro dun Don cheel man he's the man for the job and there's a petition on change.org which we'll link to I've signed it yeah I'm signing it now Don cheel as Cara dun in the Mandalorian let's make it happen [ __ ] that let's cast Terrence Howard I watched a movie with Terence Howard this week I like Terence Howard and in fact I was very disappointed when he was recasting not because I don't like Don cheel because I do but I think he is very charismatic and and I think he would have he should have continued in that role and yeah that's a shame I'm

annoyed that if you believe the story that they took his salary to pump up RDJ salary when he demanded more money for this yeah CU I think he probably saw what was going to happen and he was [ __ ] right if if that's the case that that this whole thing was going to blow up and so he probably wanted to get in and make sure he was Secure well evidently his deal was like okay you get 1 mil for the first movie if we ask you back for the second movie it's 3 mil if we ask you back for a third movie at 7 mil you know he had a deal like that and then when they said okay second movie is here money is a bit less than what we originally anticipate he like what do you mean it was the biggest [ __ ]

movie of last year and they're like yeah but we've got a star that is playing hard ball and we need to put all of the budget into that oh interesting and he was like well [ __ ] off then which is sort of fair like we we agreed to this and I'm happy to do it and we just I'm not even asking for more money I'm just even though we're making you a lot more money yeah what did you watch with him uh I watched no I watched a movie directed by Deni Vu oh it's called I found it interesting that you put this in here cuz I tried to watch this this week and it's not on any of the streaming platforms here oh really it's on Hulu here H yeah we don't have Hulu

it's well we might be getting that at the end of the month with stars then so I can finally watch it if the movie is called prisoners it's fantastic it stars uh Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal and it's about it's [ __ ] it's not a laugh right I can tell you that it's a it's a [ __ ] intense Thriller about a a guy Hugh Jackman and uh they they live in a neighborhood he lives there and um Terence Howard is their neighbor and then they all hang out and they've both got two young girls who get kidnapped all right and Jake Gyllenhaal plays the detective who's investigating and H Jackman is like this kind of prepper [ __ ] psychopath okay and it's just about all

these like it's it's really good it's just about like the what people get up to when something like this happens and it go it's yeah it's really good this might surprise you but I'm going to pass yeah I it's not a movie for you Luke because I'm not going to spoil anything but you will have to make up your mind at the end on a few things God damn it you tell me how the movie ends just tell me what I meant to think the thing I love about it is I'm again I don't want to spoil anything but it's like people do some [ __ ] up like bad things in the name of you know of good things in a way and at the end of it it's kind of well if they hadn't done that how would have things worked out and so it just makes you think about it a lot that's

what I liked about it it's it's definitely uh uh gets the gets the brain going in a way that I liked yep I do want to see that in fact there's a couple of den Villa Etc movies that I haven't seen that I do want to kind of take off the list that being one of them well this uh we were looking for something to watch and uh Jenna said oh this one people are saying is really good and I saw it was him so I was like yep let's do it oh it's long just with sort of here I did bring up stars as part of this yes I just need to go back for just one second I have to bring up that I Disney does listen to this podcast oh yes remember last week another accurate prediction now I think they went and changed the date cuz I did say by July they now moved it back to August cuz I think they

were just trying to throw us off the scent but yeah Disney plus is going up in price so you're better off to buy that yearly subscription now before it goes up do they have a yearly subscription is that an option yes okay then it probably is probably is a good deal for you to buy I got mine I get the combo with Hulu cuz they own both so I don't know I don't know if mine will go up I'll have to check that but yeah I I prediction completely 100% correct nailed it yep till they changed the date on me either either either they listen or Luke secretly works for Disney and just has managed to keep that from us for a very long time I wouldn't be surprised I mean I would tell everyone if I worked for Disney fair I you someone who worked for

Disney I think you still know them don't you they just don't work for Disney anymore yeah I was going to say they let me into the office yeah did you go to the you ow a statue and pay your respects I did I got a photo with him you pee in the fountain it's no Fountain it's not a fountain I thought it was a fountain no it's just statue statue in the I made it into the garden yeah I was about to say yeah I stood behind him and made it look like my dick was Yoda's dick and then I peed and then Yoda jerked off not me something fun yod jerked off white dick it was fun I'm telling you now it was

fun I got to pick EA deciding anthem's feet oh yeah so this one I find a bit weird this one so they've been working on revamping this game for I honestly didn't know anything how long two years or something a year two years they meant to be coming out with Anthem 2.0 which was meant to completely change it and then the rumors going out is the going to make a decision this this week whether it's going to abandon it completely [ __ ] plug on it but they've been working on Anthem 2.0 for like two years or something I know but I don't know they've got apparently 30 devs have been working on Anthem next which is supposed to I guess you know try and make the game a bit more fun I I don't dislike the game it is it is not

that compelling though to be honest there are things I really like about it but not a whole lot that really makes me want to come back to it so yeah I think the biggest problem with that it's like you do a mission you have to go back and then pick another mission then you go out there's no like just flying around that map and flying through waterfalls and fighting is fun but to actually play the game you have to play with other people I mean they've got certainly gotten plenty of feedback since it came out in what 2019 it came out so I feel like they know what people want so it's just up to up to them to see if they can get it to be where it needs to be I I don't think they should have just pulled the trigger in this a long time

ago and just walked away maybe but yeah anyway this week we find out if it's going away or not I think if you have to have that decision you've probably already made your decision yeah it is odd isn't it unless they're just trying to drum a bit of publicity for it like they have decided it is going to happen and they're just trying to make people aware the thing they have to look at is like they do release the update and it's trying to get people to go back into it yeah it's a big ask when there's so many new games coming out yeah when Destiny 2 has kind of taken over it's the number one game of this type right so and it's one of the things you can't have too many games of this type yeah they're very similar lud shooter yeah yeah when all you're doing is just doing

the same stuff over and over to get prettier gear mhm and you need to do it with people so you need to have yeah yeah I think Borderlands is probably my pick of those kind of games because yeah you can play by yourself yeah and it's got that kind of amusing aspect to it with that Anthem anthem's not funny which is fine it's just yeah yeah I like Borderlands just little lacking there's a lot of content in Borderland as well yes that's true speaking of some Borderlands news yes they've been casting people in the film and they have cast we talked about how uh what's her name Kate Blanchet is in it as Lilith right we talked about that jam Lee Curtis is

Tannis all right I can see that honestly absolutely yeah I can see that Jack Black is clap trap course is I can also see that well I can but I just I King Kong ruined Jack Black for me I'm sorry King Kong of all movies I thought he was quite restrained in that that was every time long time ago I know but every time someone mentions Jack Black all I can picture is that [ __ ] ending where he's like ah it was Beauty killed the Beast so bad yeah I mean but that's that's I like dialogue what's he going to do with that I know I liked that movie but just that was the ending I'd like to hear you deliver it now the way that you feel Jack Black should have

delivered that that would have been acceptable to you CU Beauty killed the Beast yeah okay fair cool Fair call yeah I like Matt watched nacho Libra was like great great solid perform you know was all right I think that's what I mean [ __ ] Matt's all like goo and then he's like but no he was he went too far in [ __ ] and no I know it's not his fault that's just all I think I thought he was okay generally in that movie I assume to watch it again he was very good in Jumanji to be fair and I'm aware of that it's just that when I I don't know I just like I can sort of see him doing it but also why wouldn't you just get the guy who does the voice of clap trap oh we know why cuz he got punched in the face by Randy bitchford allegedly yeah he'll need to be paid for the work he's

done I mean I'll watch this movie I'm just oh yeah the cast is odd because yeah that's what I'm saying yeah [ __ ] Jack Black Kate Blanchet oh yeah Kevin I like J Jamie Le Curtis but isn't she about 40 years too old to play that character that is a a factor I guess yeah um tennis is an older character yeah elderly I think it'll work okay um I assume she's not going to look like she in the Halloween from uh from last year working out the ages of these characters is a little hard yeah in the in the game tennis is is an older character than all the other playable I think there's an element as well of like on paper I'm like okay cool Borderlands movie but then when you actually cast any human as as one of these characters

and I'm like oh I'm not sure anybody can actually be those characters well I mean they haven't had a good track record of video game to movie adaptations that we've really liked have they like and especially with this one being so over the top yeah Borderlands is very extreme in ways that I'm not sure is going to I mean well whatever Eli Roth is doing it as well which I'm like I mean ELO Roth is perfectly fine at certain things I don't I mean we find out if this is one of them but I'm not I'm not sure actually I watched an Eli Roth movie this week and by that I mean I watched a movie that Eli Roth stars in but didn't write nor direct I rewatched for the first time in glorious bastards I haven't seen that since it was at the movie I couldn't think of

anything else he's actually been in yeah no I haven't seen it since the movies either saw it this week and really really liked it probably liked it more than the first time actually haven't seen it at all that's solid movie oh no you should watch it Matt yeah I know you should there's um Kristoff Waltz delivers a performance that is on another level for all right actors I I'm trying to just not say anything about what he does in the movie okay but it's very very good all right I will make the time to watch I've been meeting too yeah yeah I I went through a phase where I did not like quent Teran movies and I don't really know why that was before you'd seen any Matt I'd seen pop fiction and then I I don't know I think Kill Bill put me off

him quite a lot I did I didn't I didn't like Kill Bill very much I never understood why that was split into two movies oh yes money yeah yeah so I think after Kill Bill I was like I don't think I really like him but then I watched um the hateful eight and I really enjoyed the hateful eight this is much more similar to the hateful eight except more more of an adventure it's it's it's not like cabin feed was also a lot like Reservoir Dogs mhm where it's you know one location yeah yeah yeah res of white dogs I liked as well it's I think I think just literally Kill Bill made me go don't like him but I Kill Bill is 100% the worst Taran Cena movie for sure and I think the second part of it is better than the first part but you got to watch that first part and I think

it's so up its own ass that can be very hard to watch there part just been one movie I completely agree cut out all those homages and stuff and just tell a good story cuz it wasn't what the movies aren't actually that long on their own are they it's not like they're like 3-hour movies don't recall I remember they were only like a little over an hour and a half each let me have a look it's been a long time since I watched it so but I'm not going to do a rewatch of that that first I'll watch his other stuff first and then maybe I'll give it another go at the end if I feel like it yeah I've never seen Jackie Brown either well actually I guess I've never seen how many has he done I've seen PP fiction I've seen I think I've seen eight or

nine eight or nine maybe there's a bunch I haven't seen I've not seen Jackie Brown I've not seen in glorious bastards I've seen once by time in Holly wouldn't have seen hateful eight Jackie Brown is different because he didn't write it oh is that true okay yes it's an adaptation of a novel called rum punch and he just because it's that kind of 70s uh crime drama that he loves but it's just him doing a straight up adaptation of it okay so it's different it's very different to his other films okay yeah I I was wrong the first mov go for 111 minutes the second movie goes for 137 oh Jesus all there'd be over 4 hours movie okay for some reason I thought it was like it they were an hour and a half each yeah but you're you're assuming

that you wouldn't have to or you wouldn't remove things if you make one movie which is I think probably you know like The Hobbit oh they couldn't have made The Hobbit one movie it would have been 6 hours long I think most of those hours could be removed oh you know but not only that because actually I watched a fan edit where they did cut that down into one movie and I realized that it's not the length that made that movie Garbage it's the fact that didn't need to be in there and just certain things like that but the dinos none of us have talked about how excited we are for Godzilla versus King Kong CU I'm assuming none of us are excited for that I saw the trailer I didn't watch Skull Island and I didn't watch the new the latest Godzilla so I did Skull

Island was great absolutely loved it Godzilla was you know how every movie that's come out in the last 15 years is the same movie yeah yeah it's that okay yeah so it's fine I watched the first Godzilla the one I think it was Gareth Edwards do that one where yes yeah yeah yeah yeah well you bar you didn't see King Kong that much until the end although you did see him a bit at the end I think and then uh it I think we talked about at the time it was just basically like for some reason King Kong is just exactly wherever this kid is at all times which I thought it was it bugged me and so I never watched the the second king of monsters is that what it's called the new one maybe yeah I think so I don't remember maybe I'll watch it it's got Thomas

middleditch in it who I like the guy from Silicon Valley I finally finished watching all of that it's [ __ ] great show it is a great show fantastic show looks like it was a lot of fun to work onh uh it look like it was a lot of fun to write you know like it was just it was just the embodiment of fun until we find 20 years that everybody was molested well there was that one character the one actor that they wrote out of the show because of that what no well why what did you hear about that cuz I heard that he just Matt calm down mate what did you hear well that's why he's also not going to be in the next Deadpool and oh is that true yeah him he was molesting people the actual story was molesting all he did something wrong

and that's why he was written out of Silicon Valley and that's why he's not going back to Deadpool cuz I if you if you look at interviews when he left it was all around he felt that his character was just the same [ __ ] over and over again and the show needed to change and so he was like I'm leaving because they wouldn't change the show that's what not really that's his name TJ M to change the tjer but yeah that was the story but no there stuff came out about him um let me see allegedly let's just say allegedly now allegedly yep um Miller was accused of sexting woman he went to college with against who not kale leave

kale Alone um it's been three years been years M said he wouldn't be reposing his role in hon Valley decision that may proceed many other bad ones Alle show up to shoot Silicon Valley wasted and unprepared H um I think the sexual misconduct happened years ago and it just so happened to come out during the during the show his came out during the show goodness then evidently he's living in his caral oh wow it is a limousine to be fair yeah even so Matt it's not a house um it's also alleged that in 2017 as a woman accused Mill of sexual assault the comedian attempted to coers um Hadad and another bodyguard to threaten a woman at her home oh Jesus did you say 2017 okay that wasn't that was that was during the show that was yeah about that time and

yeah and so yeah it's already yeah he's not welcome back he's not going back to Deadpool 3 wow all right this is a debauched show this week just a bunch of [ __ ] [ __ ] outing Hollywood [ __ ] yeah do we want to talk about before we go do we want to quickly talk any other [ __ ] to discuss one of our favorite video games or at least Dan and I who have played it I get to play it soon Luke gets to play it soon and you get to play it in a [ __ ] fantastically enhanced form that I'm I'm can I go out on a limb go on and say get out there that even with all the additional voice acting even with all

these new quests I still don't think Luke's going to like this game I don't either you guys have been talking it up for years it is so good but I think I love it I mean you're you're I mean Jenna hated it she was like nah not for me so I think it there is you've got to you got to get it and like it or you won't you really won't like it if you don't I just need to be prepared I don't get to shoot anyone or fight anyone nothing explodes you will have to a lot read well actually no they're full voice acted now right so maybe you won there's some shooting in there yeah I think it's full voice acted now uh but there's still going to be a lot of it yeah a lot of listening it's it's an interactive story but I'm really excited about this they're adding political Vision quests

whatever the [ __ ] that means I I want it here's what I think it means because in this game it's it's it's got this political science undertone right and then but you don't really pay attention to it I mean I just make decisions based on what I would do in that situation which is how I play every video game yes and then occasionally the game reminds you how what kind of political alignment you you are kind of edging towards like it'll go I think you're a bit of a communist or even at times it was like given any thought to Fascism but on the forums people are like what what decisions do I have to make to roleplay this whole game as a communist like so I I think people want more control over what political alignment they play this game as and so

I I think it's like you know there's a character Luke who's a um who's a racist and he won't let you through a particular place that he's guarding because you're inferior race and if you don't have the kind of strength ability to just kind of beat the [ __ ] out of him and sneak through then one way to to get past him is to go away and think about what he says for a while until you make up your mind that you agree with him and that there are you become racist reasons to be racists yeah and you have to lock that thought into your head yeah and then others other thoughts you have kind of Spawn from that thought yeah and that's that's actually part of the gameplay that's not just metaphorical CU literally you have to put thoughts in your head yeah and so

and that particular one I mean you go back and you're like you know man I've really been thinking about this and yeah you're right about this this and this he's like hm yeah okay cool man all you go come on past yeah and I know you have what will help your sort of roles is the clothes you wear as well yes but don't be thinking you could look cool you won't make anything look cool I mean honest to God like good if if there's any real human being that dresses even remotely like this character it's a Luke alerson oh cuz apparently there's the these political Vision quests will alter potentially alter the UI in ways and so that's kind of new cuz it did various

things did change like you're um you can't change the character portrait but it will change as certain things happen in the game chose in in in neat ways like I don't want to spoil anything at all but your character portra will change depending on things and apparently even the user interface will change based on decisions you make I will finally get to find out in a few more months I'm so excited about this not too long I'm glad I'm glad I stopped my second playthrough cuz I'm going to play through it again in this version yeah I was going to do a fourth play through and changed my mind at the last minute cuz I was doing I started one I was going to lean into being an arrogant prick just because those responses were so tempting but I was like no but I just

really want to lean into it where he's just a [ __ ] with so well my my three plays have been the first one was get to the end which is kind of how I play first play through any game really yeah um and then the second play through was take it slow read every line properly try to find every item every you know just really play it 100% And then my third playthrough was once I worked out there was a hardcore mode hardcore I just go back to sort of Matt's first play through where he was about to uninstall it after spending like half an hour doing something and then just dying tripped over a woman in a wheelchair and died had a heart yeah while trying to escape a diner cuz the guy asked I thought about I'm like what what game have I played when that's happened I've

got to give it another chance yeah and I know a few of our listeners have been wanting to play after hearing you two talk about it as well yeah oh it's fantastic honestly it there's nothing like it it's honestly yeah one of my favorite games of all time it's it was so rewarding you'll be the judge if it's one of Matt's favorite games yep but like it's it's insanely funny and then there's bits that are utterly heartbreaking yeah and then things that are just like like like ridiculous but when it happens you're like and it it's really like like emotional but then you're like this is [ __ ] ridiculous like it's just it gets in there it's so

Fantastical and Abstract yes but it Taps into some truth yes somehow that very few games do there are like there are characters that if you if you said oh this is if you just kind of explained it to me be that's [ __ ] stupid yeah yeah but then in the context of the game a walk through would ruin it not for to help me getting all the achievements though H yeah if that's literally no no but here you won't be able to get all the achievements on a single play through I guarantee it because there's there's going to be achievements because here's the thing the more you [ __ ] up in this game like [ __ ] up is part of the game like [ __ ] up a like a dialogue

tree and then not having those options anymore and having to do other things means that like you can't possibly do 100% of the that's why like I I will the first time I play I will attempt a full play through I know you both want me to stream it and I will play through and just play the game yes yeah it's one of those games where you can't be good at everything you know there a lot of games where you just just grind and bump up the stats you can basically do anything you cannot do that in this game not I will not even look at what the achievements are before I play this game yeah well they probably won't make any sense well but that some sometimes you get a bit of an idea about how to get them and that will sway decisions I make but if I don't know what any of them are

this might be a game where the achievements will L me in because I feel like they're probably going to do something interesting with them or they just won't but of all games this is the game that could make achievements well if you if you've seen any of interviews with the the writer and the lead Dev on this he is certainly the kind of guy that would not just want to say achievements are collect all of this you know talk to talk to everyone like they're going to be yeah they're going to be stuff like I I don't even know what yeah you're right I'm I'm looking forward to see to political it'll be political yeah or deeply deeply emotional yes laugh Riot look's going to love it I'm serious it's [ __ ] hilarious

[ __ ] does Kuno care they better not have recast that guy I don't know why they would no just like if they couldn't get the original actor back to record the rest of his lines some of the voice actors but but it's Charming in that sense as well yes like an old video game where they're not actually actors like like the original Resident Evil not that no not like that just uh bad voice acting some of them are a bit flat I guess it's just no don't remember the original Resident Evil being that bad but then again played it for decades look it up on YouTube it was bad okay yeah Captain Wesker where's Chris stop it don't open that door but Chris
