oh speak amongst yourselves for a moment I forgot I want to take one more painkiller before we start recording cuz that's what I do now I live off painkillers recreationally welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things [Applause] nerdy no they're here with me they're on my desk somewhere do we have to take some time while you crush them up and snot them or do you take them orally no they're suppositories no no no no I saw them last night there's I've got like a pile of panul that I have in my desk just like a normal person I just keep in aart my desk I really need to get around to getting one of those

little things like those old people have which this is my morning pills so I open that up and I take that out and yeah oh that makes sense like says like an old person has like he's not an old person yeah I'm not old hey you guys are old I'm not old I'm so young are you sure that wasn't a runt you just swallowed [ __ ] you say to me runt that's a candy for those who don't know oh you didn't even take one yet what was the other thing you just swallowed oh that that was my recreational uh don't worry about that now the recreational drugs he does take anally ah okay now I'm good a guy that I used to work with um told me once about shelfing do you guys know about it shelfing it's where you stick ecstasy up your ass it's a HGTV show is it yeah that's right I'd

love to see this is on HGTV no apparently apparently if you stick ecstasy up your ass instead of swallowing it it's way better shelfing according that's also the same thing of like putting like a VRA on a tampon and shoving that up your ass that's been to very quickly why is it called shelfing though the first guy was the first guy who did it a builder I've been shelfing wink well maybe maybe it's cuz you've got to do it yourself ConEd I'm G to shove this ecstasy up my ass um well actually although according to my colleague um he said it's much more fun when you do it with a friend to be clear I wasn't that friend and that's how he convinced me to

build some shells with him yeah yeah puts it up there for you or you both doing get it at the same time help each other like you pop it up each other th right you make a thing of it all right guys I don't want to help you with Shing just putting that out there I've um I've been watching early I I I got did I mention this already I got a streaming reminded mat of something what yeah yeah did the old episodes of Top Gear the like from the oh the really old episodes where they used to stick drugs up each other's ass no the episodes from the '90s right where it's Clarkson Hammond and uh this other guy Jason when there when they're sort of young yes and everything's gay where they just like talking about how oh that car's a bit gay and then they're all like oh wow teasing each

other about and I was just like [ __ ] hell all right but you got a r but during the 90s and us being in high school that was the same I know I know it just we didn't so long it's been exactly and it's been so long since I've I've seen it just so casually thrown around as like a I mean sort of an insult I mean they're not not as bad as you know kids in high school were when we were young it's mhm yeah but it's just it's like straight up a joke like it's just so but times have changed so much I think I've mentioned on this podcast before though if if you go on you can watch this on YouTube there was a AUST strali sketch show called The Late Show on ABC back in the '90s oh God I find it oh yeah but you can you can find why would they re-release it I have

the DVD but it's just the best of right the champag champ Edition yeah yeah yeah yeah but there's uh is on that on that version is there a sketch called Glen Gary Glenn Ridge that sounds familiar which is a parody of a movie called Glen Gary Glenn Ross which is a um it's like a hard-hitting David Mammoth adaptation of of like real estate agent Cutthroat I don't think there is but anyway but Glenn Ridge is the host of sale of the century so there's a version of that with him in it right but the play's got a lot of profanity in it and they're just swearing at each other and it's all beeped except the word which is not beeped oh so at one point someone calls someone a [ __ ] and only [ __ ] is beeped cuz it's the ' 90s and you can

call someone a if you want which which ironically is the opposite of this episode of this show that we're on right now yeah yeah cuz this episode is called [ __ ] but with the beep on the the word that's right my favorite joke from The Late Show is read that side behind us Mick and he turn goes Wheelchairs and strollers and they're one of Brothers movie World wait what this my favorite joke from The Late Show I remember that sketch that was when they did the um the stuntmen right the stunt men I I don't get the joke but I remember the sketch I was going to say I don't get it either but I believe you I guess I I don't know why they don't re re relase this I I don't get it cuz they they're all became sort of pretty big stars in their own on

the panel right that was basically the cast of The Late Show yeah was the panel well you got yeah well they also produced the castle castle yeah yeah oh yeah the working dog wasck and Tony had their own radio show they've had television show they've done stand up make I think quido hatsis was one of them I don't know who still making television shows I just don't know the late show or and the the the degeneration just never got a re-release for some reason Carlos went on to do Eurovision as zlad if you [Laughter] recall antip that's right like the hammer hits the cantaloup so good like the lion eats the antelope yeah I would legitimately listen to that I've seen worse at year

Vision I've seen far worse your vision sort of reminds me of sort of the Olympics a little bit for one simple thing mhm you can't be a professional athlete at the [Music] Olympics is that a rule or you just no no think at least at least with boxing why if you're a professional boxer M you can't go to the Olympics and box why is that I'm Miss there's some Nuance to this that I'm missing cuz you're a professional I don't know anything about the oh the Olympics is for amateur only what that can't be right I didn't know that you you can't be a like I know in boxing you can't be a professional boxer and go in boxing but what's a professional boxer that's different to like a professional rower I don't know that's why I'm confused I'm trying to find this

out I I definitely don't know I definitely don't know just recently heard like if you're a boxer so all the boxers that You' heard about cuz you you know all the boxes haven't heard of that many boxers to be honest I've heard of Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali they're the boxers I know but have you ever heard of them going to the Olympics for all I know they are mate I don't know that's fair is boxing an Olympic sport that could explain it it is oh all right yeah it's not M but they can't join the Olympic fencing team for some reason that's what I was going to say yeah Mike Tyson's never done ice skating in the Olympics I can't believe it I would watch the [ __ ] out of that also they don't have ice skating at the Olympics I'm pretty sure do they what that's

Winter Olympics right they have it at the Winter Olympics same thing same thing right just a different time it's that thing that comes around every every four years that no one really cares about anything more right in in some ways it's much more fun to watch though I literally only pictured Winter Olympic sports in my head this whole time I didn't even think of I was like is that you looking snowboarding yeah well we've just gone through the Winter Olympics why everyone's in their wheelchair wait I'm thinking of the Paralympics and they will not let Mike Tyson join no no eat someone's ear but no for some reason that also reminds me of Eurovision cuz Eurovision you don't get the best musician lordy were in Eurovision right they're pretty

I I think Abba were in Eurovision back in the day too right were they there you go yeah but I think like it's sort of really hit and miss but what you're saying is that you don't get I'm trying to think of of a famous European pop star I can't even think of one maybe that's why just you don't know any European pop stars right exactly maybe they all are cuz Lord is the only one I know too and I know them I was about to say Ramstein not a famous European pop star rste in Eurovision I don't know that's what I was like they could I really doubt it [ __ ] doubt it too but I would love that lordy were yeah that is true and somehow lordy somehow lordy who dress up like [ __ ] demons are still more like familyfriendly and commercially viable

than Ramstein Ramstein yeah when they let Australia in there was a petition to try and get tism to play oh and one of the guys from tism had to come out and go you know we're broken up and a few of the guys are dead right tism of all people and they fine we'll go to friend ROM friend ROM are you guys don't do it they would do it what Jay from frenel doing these days he's on the radio is he they're actually playing a show soon all right okay all right oh I mean I'm not in Sydney anymore which means I don't hear about them because no one outside Sydney knows anything about them so mate not a lot of people in Sydney are going to their shows I'm telling you that it's like Nancy Vandal I only know about Nancy Vandal cuz I was in penth in

the '90s and I still go and see Dancy Vandal I know let's go to Newcastle West to Cambridge that says like England uh on the 29th that doesn't sound like the Newcastle in Australia friends of Roma playing oh no sorry sorry tonight they are playing the sill RSL Club jeez all right RSL clubs haven't seen haven't been to one of those in a while I remember when uh Gareth said to me do you want to come see the choir boys at uh St Mary's Leagues Club Cho Boys you know remember that song Run to Paradise they had yeah yeah yeah yeah yep but I was like the St Mary's Leagues Club it must be a covers Bed it can't be the real choir boys he like he's like dude it's the real [ __ ] choir boys trust me I don't know there's a band called my sex which was a

70s Australian okay rock band sounds like an AUST in queenan in June and I'm going they're coming to queenan not a lot of bands I would que I don't think they going to que I think they live in queenan you're going over to their house let them play ecdc played my dad's year 10 formal before they were famous what really yeah 7 Hills boys high formal 19 whatever 70 73 or whatever [ __ ] wow ACDC original lineup it's all right well at the time it would have been like eh are just double check Nancy vandel AR playing anytime soon I'm sorry probably I I won't bother checking around

here you'd have some good bands playing around there there's uh yeah Breaking Benjamin from Boston oh yeah yeah no I've seen them around and uh I mean a lot of bands play in Providence too sometimes um but yeah Boston yeah tons of shows I'm watching season 4 of xfiles now cuz I exclusively watch the xfiles I don't watch anything else at the I'm in season now and um Moulder has gone back to his to see his parents I mean spoil as his dad's passed on already his mom's very sick she's in hospital at the moment um but they live in Providence so I'm seeing a lot of Providence or I'm seeing a lot of Vancouver with um I was going to say Pro with the Superman building edited into the background yeah yeah that's the the one thing that

Providence has got when you look at the skyline from the Christopher ree Superman nah the old one industrial National Bank building the Superman building oh wow it's a beautiful building yeah yeah you see it yeah it almost looks like something from um yeah it looks like something from like a Chicago style oh you wait to see this hold on there's a there's a building in Singapore and Singapore's list like traditional Southeast Asian buildings and like super modernist buildings and then right in the middle of downtown there's this hold on Park View Square oh wow and that's the most beautiful gargantuan Gothic Tower wow look at that it has huh gargoyles and it's [ __ ]

know that's great oh wow even the lobby wow it's like if iron Rand if iron Rand did the set design for Batman this is what you'd get look yeah yeah [ __ ] man the Lo I'm looking at the lobby it's amazing it's really built at a different time that's great if you scroll back through my Instagram there's a there's a night that H and I went there and had drinks and stuff and there's a bunch of of us there but if you scroll down long enough you'll just see some pictures of it in situ and you'll just notice that nothing around it looks anything like this you know what it's not like it's this part of Chicago used to no that's right it's just some some guy went can I design it however I want and I'm like yeah I guess so he's like [ __ ] yeah yeah cuz there's nothing like that in

Singapore everything's sort of the same Singapore's yeah it's got a lot of it's got a lot of trends for sure architecturally speaking but then it's got a lot of things that break trends like it's got the um building that's just a bunch of blocks randomly stacked and it's got a building that's cascading Gardens isn't there one that's like a boat yeah three three pillars with a boat with a boat on it yeah I saw that you saw it while watching the F1 didn't you Matt ad it I did I did I did yeah cuz actually that's where the F1 either starts or finishes that's where the actual stadium is right right in front of that yeah yeah I was like [ __ ] that's interesting wasn't the f one just in Australia that's right it was in Melbourne yeah although I saw ACH three

weeks in a row folks that if you're counting and if you're playing the drinking game you can all take a shot now I saw on uh Reddit photos of what it's actually like to go to the F1 in Melbourne and I was like a [ __ ] that a bunch of trash everywhere gross yeah I'd rather watch it on TV but there's events and stuff in Singapore when it's F1 it's lasts for a week and bonji plays there's stuff happening like every night you don't have to go to the race or watch the race but it's still the F1 is like a fun Nationwide Festival it's a sort of to make up for shutting down half the city yeah it really it really does show it's not half the city mate this just takes half an hour to drive from one end of the country to the other so there's big news this week on

the internet Elon musk's playing silly buggers what is he doing can someone explain this to me well is he can he legally do this what does he hope to get out of this Twitter apparently so he he bought did we talk about was this last week we talked about he bought yeah he he's bought 11% he bought yes he bought some percentage of Twitter and everyone was like oh [ __ ] so and then they announced he's going to join the board and then everyone was like oh I don't know if I want Elon Musk making decisions on Twitter I mean I don't know how I feel about Elon Musk these days actually genuinely don't know I used to quite like him and respect him but then now I just I just don't know he's so so trolly that I can't tell if I like him honestly I think the power the money has

gone to his head he always had money I don't know yeah yeah but but what he says now can like change the stock market can change the price this whereas it's not a lot of the stuff that he's doing it isn't him doing stuff it's him funding people to do stuff but people see him as being the person who's doing it they think he's building Rockets he's not building Rockets oh sure he he he is very smart though and he knows a lot about rocketry not denying that but he's not building Rockets he he he didn't design the Tesla he brought Tesla and he marketed itre he will say that his um strength is recognizing talent and being able to bring together the best people yeah so we bought some percentage of Twitter they said he was going to be on the board and then a couple of days

later like they announced it and then Twitter's stock shut up and then a couple days later he was like I'm probably not going to join the board actually and then they were like people were like why and he said ah it's just Twitter's kind of a mess to be honest I don't think I can do any good with it and then which is not good for Twitter to have him out there saying that so then their stock plummeted and then he came out and said uh well he announced on Twitter he said I've I've made an offer to buy Twitter and he said Y and the letter says basically the gist gist of it is I don't think I can effectively make Twitter good by just being on the board I think I need to own it and take it private and I think it's very important for democracy and I think basically you guys are make

doing a [ __ ] job I'll offer you x amount it was I mean it's a lot of money it was a lot of money but then at the end of it he says this is my final offer and if you say no I might have to reconsider my position as a shareholder which stock goes crazy again basically exactly he's basically saying I'll [ __ ] tank your stock if you don't sell them you can't and he can do it he can [ __ ] do it I know he's got in trouble a lot for doing tweets like that and going hey I know this is not a tweet he literally made an offer he it's a document that he posted on Twitter it's not just a tweet he's literally told this company but Luke's right though the man the man can shift stocks with a tweet he could just go oh I might put a couple more bucks into this and

then suddenly like M it' be inside of trading if it wasn't so publicly done well look what happened with Bitcoin hey Tesla's going to start accepting Bitcoin Dogecoin Dogecoin he does this no but that's what I'm saying I don't know I don't know if he's cuz he's got so much money I don't know what sometimes I'm like is he just doing this to show everybody that this is stupid like when actually I think part of reason why he's wanting to spend so much money is he's upset he's about to get taxed more he he's always upset about that that is true cuz he's got so much money and he's he's he he's sort of against taxing the rich people cuz he goes we're already put putting so much back into the world yeah so now I think he thing is I'm just

going to spend all this money which right and then you can't have it like he sold all his hous [ __ ] I remember his ex-wife came out and said oh he really doesn't live like a millionaire you know he just lives and I'm like well I mean you say that but he's out there wielding his power like yes maybe he doesn't have the biggest house on the Block but he he certainly lives he had 12 houses until Grimes convinced him to sell all of them and live in a little tiny house yeah and only because she's a communist that apparently so so I don't know what I don't know I I don't know how I feel about this right cuz on the one hand I mean I think it's hilarious bring it on maybe Twitter would be an better off without So Many Cooks you know what's the problem with

TW because I've not been on for Twitter for years I just I don't know I don't know but what's what's what's the problem someone says something everyone yells at them yeah I don't know what he thinks the problem is I think may maybe it's that they sway too much to the social pressure think I could sort of see if he he thinks they're too left or something yeah so maybe that's what he's saying it's become like a a leftist um Echo chamber cuz everyone yeah it could be that it could be that but I don't see yeah that's the only thing I could cuz it's just a Cess pool of people just yelling at each other all I can see I think maybe you know there's this thing lately where Twitter's Banning you know Trump and certain right-wing people and there's this certainly perception that

they're censoring people whether you you know whether you think that's legit or not so maybe that's what he's talking about I don't know I mean theyve they've got bylaws against hate speech and misinformation yeah yeah but I think yeah the problem is I yeah I guess I don't really know where he's coming from that's how I I don't when I was I woke up I saw that he had put that letter in and said I'll buy it or I'll [ __ ] you and um and I laughed and then I was like I don't know how I feel about this m like it's kind I try and look at Twitter every now again and he shouldn't have the get it power to do that you know it's weird I don't think he should anyway I could be wrong no no one should except me yeah obviously and then by extension Dan and

I cuz we could just say as long as you run it past me first yeah can I F we can convin couple of billion to borrow to buy Twitter and you like yeah maybe a few what are you going to do with that oh probably just let the Nazis run wild on it yeah sure why not yeah yeah I just speech how do how does Twitter make money I still don't understand I have no idea I have no that sounds like that sounds like so much money how does this podcast make money Finance it doesn't Matt we we ask people really why you don't ask me questions like that yeah well no one's giving us a billion dollars to to sell it to Elon Musk although Elon if you want to buy this podcast for a billion dollar we will patreon.com as we have told many times in the past we will sell out in an

instant out a tier just buy the whole [ __ ] thing yeah I don't know what this means maybe once he's bought it we're not allowed to um just all tweet that JK ring is a homophobe or a transphobe well she's been winging this week too and I do think it's funny because she says she's been cancelled however she's [ __ ] everywhere she's got books and movies coming out and like what do you think canel means jking so I I did know that there's a new Fantastic Beasts movie I saw the trailer for it actually looks quite good except I that or she just collecting a check for that that's that's was my question how involved everyone knows it's her like it's like I don't know no are these books or are these just movies now I think these are just movies now she's

still writing books though based on books no but is she writing Harry Potter books she wrote she wrote at least one Fantastic Beasts book that I know of maybe she wrote more I don't know I feel like she wrote she wrote a I think she wrote these movies I I don't think she did oh I didn't think she did I think I thought this was just Universal the 100% wrote Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which is a book okay which is what they're based on I don't know if she wrote the movies themselves ah yeah I think she wrote that one and then she also wrote that that one that was a play but I think that's sort of child no but she still writes books no and the screenplays for these movies I was saying and she's still writing books and she's also was W books is not being

canell no she's fine she's fine oh Ezra Miller's in this oh God we'll see but it's just that every time she goes on Twitter and complains about trans people people get mad at her and so I mean just I mean deal with it there are plenty of people who are supporting her as well like you know just I don't know it just seems silly I think she does she want to be cancelled I don't know just maybe is that the problem I can't even remember what she said she didn't say she didn't like trans people did she she just said that surely there's a difference between a trans woman and a CIS woman she's no she's she's gotten gone further down this R down she she for some it it seems like she thinks that trans people are

just trying to cop take away her rights in well I don't know if we talked about this a little bit but I think she she has apparently suffered abuse in the past and so she's got some funny ideas about what men might do to to get to women and I think that's where it all comes from yeah I think yeah she came from a very Beau of relationship with her husband I believe yeah and so she's very vocally against you know letting men in her opinion into women bathrooms and things like that and it's like well that's not what this is though but she's she thinks it is she thinks it's just a bunch of like hyper masculine perverts trying to be in the stall next to her yeah they're just going to extreme lengths to look at some

which women my heart argument with that is if people are going to do that they're not they're just going to do that it doesn't matter whether those perverts aren't fighting for their rights it's it's just very I don't know I think have you ever spoken into a trans person JK rling probably not yeah so I I just don't know where she's coming from she's fine she's not I mean I have I have heard this like Ultra feminist argument that says like men think they can do anything even become a woman yes yes that's her that's her point of view from what I understand yes they're trying to take that from her as well yeah I think there is certainly she has the right to have that conversation with the world but the world has answered her and said it's not like that

yeah so yeah it's not it's that's not what this is not the patriarchy also that's what's happening it's not she's not being cancelled she's fine people are just telling her no you're wrong we disagree stop canceling me but the way she's having the conversation is she's having it on Twitter which is not a way to have a conversation cuz that's you write something and it might be something that might give some people's no people just going to go and attack you if you want to have this conversation maybe get in contact with people or an organization and have a conversation I I think I mean at this level she doesn't actually care what people think of her opinion right she wrote a series of blog posts and stuff a while back that basically like I said I

that's where I got this idea that she's this is this comes from some thing in her past because she talks about it a little bit in there so I feel like I don't know I cut her a bit of slack just on that but I still but then now it's at this point it's just like she's just being silly at this point I think she's like why are you doubling down on this yeah I mean look there's conversations to be had it's fine if you don't understand ask ask on Twitter the world will tell you like if you say I don't understand how this works ask Twitter you'll be [ __ ] told you'll be told don't ask on Twitter ask a person ask oranization do that what I'd like the one thing the only question that I

have coming up is is I I've noticed that there's a lot of trans women in sports now and I I do tend to think that that perhaps give you a certain tactical advantage that is perhaps considered unfair but who am I to [ __ ] I mean that's a that's a Hot Topic at the moment and I don't think we're going to solve it so I haven't solved it in the agree I think yeah I think there's certainly something there I just don't know what it is you know yeah and it's been quite confusing cuz there's actually been cases of people who born female who do have a high amount of testosterone and they're going well according to the rules that you're bringing in I can't compete as a female even though I was born a female and and

female so it is one of these very turns out humans are [ __ ] weird and complicated yeah yeah that's right yeah but yeah but don't go on Twitter and ask actually get in contact with an organization get in contact with some bias get on Twitter just get on Twitter go on Twitter F it's Fine's going promot this is what elon's going to fix yeah he's going to fix it no cuz I dread anytime I go on Twitter I'll see a post and I go yep and now I'm going to look into the comments and then I die look at the comments anything and there'll be some [ __ ] with in there always yeah and then there's fights backwards and forwards and I I love I've seen people fighting against themselves that's everywhere on the internet that's [ __ ] oh man the um I I used to know a

guy Mitch used to work in our operations department at s SPS um and he was what would later become known as an influencer but this was early days of the internet right but when we found out that he had this like YouTube channel his name was camera boy one word and boy was Boi and he was quite famous back in the day and um used to get several million views on each of his videos and we were like what when we found out and then he's like yeah but most of them hate me like we were like what do you mean he's like most of the people who subscribe to my channel and watch my videos hate me just read the comments and then you just look down and it's just like you're a [ __ ] you're a [ __ ] shut UPG like yeah that's what the internet has become just people getting

there's a guy at my work who had Channel and he told he was he we're talking having I think we're having a beer after work one day and he said oh I've got a YouTube channel actually and I was like oh yeah and he said yeah yeah I get a few views and then we pulled it up and he goes yeah people comment and stuff and I scroll down and the the top cor was just like what a and then and he was like scroll back bit of that yeah you just that's yeah that's the worst thing about the still the your Anonymous on the internet and what you say doesn't matter and if even death threats oh it's only a joke I didn't mean it yeah yeah no account easy yeah yeah speaking of threats oh I I saw this article and I can me I cons I am threatening you I consider not putting this in here

because sexually harassing someone is never funny unless perhaps it's Gary Coleman tiny black [ __ ] trying to sexually harass you in which case there is an element of humor that I just can't avoid I still don't think it's funny well but I can see what you mean yeah like Molly Shannon has has come out and said that when she was very young Molly Shannon I do too she's great and she's come out and said that when she was young she was put on the same agency as Gary Coleman and evidently he he took a l to her and said oh I wouldn't mind her visiting me in my hotel room um which evidently she didn't see as a red flag but you know then again let's not victim blame well yeah back cuz back in the day that was a normal thing I mean they were

also all being molested but we just didn't know about it then and that's what I'm sort of yeah right that was the so and also but back in the day this was called being a creep it wasn't called sexual harassment which is now what we what we call it retroactively but she went there and he and again I'm trying not to find the humor in this but she goes in he's laying on the bed and he goes come over here and tickle me like he's it's like he's trying to make it like cute and midgy and stuff instead of he wasn't going full Cosby which is just like here's my [ __ ] now no he didn't drug her and while she slept like Cosby did no he he went more of the Weinstein angle which is why don't you just start with giving me a massage and we'll see where it goes but evidently um she sat

on the bed and he got on top of her and tried to force her down um but because he has no strength and weighs practically nothing she was able to very easily throw him away and she said I never felt physically threatened but I just didn't like the fact that wild Gary Coleman was trying me but you want to know the worst thing I find about this is yes nothing happened here but something would have happened with other people that were sent to his hotel room because yes and something only didn't happen because he's a dwarf also so you can just say she's all right I would mind if she came to my hotel room and then and they send her up hotel room like all right I think if you're famous in the 80s that's exactly how it worked Matt [ __ ] hell I'm

sorry to say yeah I'd like yeah I'd like to meet this person could you send her up maybe she yeah see if I can do anything so I can't do that you could try mat but um well here's the thing right because I not not that I ever thought about sexually harassing anyone but I certainly wouldn't do it now let's be very clear about that like if if I was ever going to do it it's definitely not in my 2022 [ __ ] C right sure and yet Frank Lela an actor who I quite like uh has just been fired Midway off a series I was very interested in watching because I love edaran Poe they're going to recast for half the episodes cuz he started trying to molest one of the other cast members

what are you [ __ ] thinking does it what is it clear about what he did so yeah no I I like I've got a play bill from when he was Dracula framed in the wall out there so so he was a great Dracula particularly shitty yeah news but like he's 84 and he was making inappropriate I love him in that Roman penky movie too which is tragic on a whole other level I saw a tweet the other day that said um knowing that Roman palansky was affected by not only the Nazis but also the Manson family is an interesting thing to consider just it is interesting thing consider full stop consider it quietly to yourself yeah consider it quietly to yourself and then still continue to condemn his behavior I'm just saying that is like a what a [ __ ] Wild Life yeah anyway but but

getting back to Frank I guarantee you he was someone who probably had actresses come up to his hotel room was he wearing the Skeletor mask I think and it says here he was making inappropriate comments which obviously is not okay but I don't know that he was actually you know old school I don't think he was Gary Coleman you know I think he was just being a coin of popular phrase he was just being a creepy old man to get to the to get to the point of you're Fired oh these days I don't think so I don't think so these days I I don't think they do that on a like a first thing I think you're an 84y old man and you go why don't you come over here and sit on my lap you could get fired yeah but Matt you deserve to be fired for that I think at this point with

now as with you I agree with you oh it doesn't sound like you agree with Luke saying Luke's saying oh I think he tried to touch him you could get fired for [ __ ] anything now guys no no no no what I'm saying is if it would have been he would have got a warning of speaking to first it's not he would have said one thing and you're off it's hold on no you can't say that anymore and then he probably would have persisted or gone a different angle and they're sort of like you're not getting this is you don't do this anymore M yeah it's not something you can just get away with now no no I agree I'm just saying that like I don't think he he was doing more than that there's no indication that he doing more than that that I agree that that's enough but I just want to be clear with

the audience that we're not suggesting that he was like yeah doing anything other than just being I'm just I'm just sort of saying Speak he's a big man is he even at 84 years old he's still a threatening character he's massive his R to fame like ah he probably did he probably did I would put it past him no what I'm saying was if you're a young actress on a set and big old Frankl Angela came up and was like sit on my [ __ ] lap I know I know I would feel like a [ __ ] hand you're right as well but say no one is saying that he did anything other than make inappropriate comments I don't know why what comments are he grew up in the 70s he probably like no nobody's saying he did anything other than making appropriate comments which is still

wrong and he got fired for in this one instance is what we're saying all all I'm saying is is back in the day those comments he would have been saying would have been something that would have just been y that's that's acceptable then good old saying he's probably been doing that for 50 years did he ask you to sit on his lap no he will yeah back when you could smoke in the office and slap a secretary on the ass the the the tragic one to me and obviously it's awful no matter when it happens but it's worse when it happens to someone that you just didn't think was like that and not I'm saying Jella but like when it when it came out that um Jerry Lewis was like molesting people it was like really Jerry Lewis and it was like was very bad to he was just one of those Louis CK my

dicks out what are you going to do with it and it's like I don't even want to think about Jerry Lewis having a dick you know like yeah he's asexual in my mind mhm he's dead in mine g but dead with a dick or dead without he's dead isn't he yeah he is that's unclear yeah it's unclear why that matters at this point so yeah Frankl Angela fired from Fall of house the fall I'll take over user which is a shame well yeah not a shame because he should have got away with it it's a shame because I liked Frank lella now but yeah look I'm I'm prepared to take over his role I'm I'm available I look I think Christopher

Plumber should just take over any 's role who gets fired from a movie now for this because what happens if he comes out I say wait wait till someone comes for he's he's sitting at home going I'm so [ __ ] I am a Sitting Duck are any of these women still alive have we checked you you joke Matt and I'm not saying Christopher Plumber is guilty of that but there must be old school [ __ ] 70s producers and stuff sitting there going it is a miracle no one's 100% any day it could happen yeah which is and there must be actors like going with people going please don't offer me a job I just don't want to be famous again because the second my name is in the papers someone's going to be like oh that guy yeah he molested me yeah I feel like if you have

skeletons like that just go away that's the best thing go away yeah well actually no sorry that's the best thing for you yeah I think probably the best thing is if you do get outed but yeah yeah it's not that the casting couch is was a real thing and it's a terrible thing yeah Luke knows firsthand yeah could clean that thing afterwards in given some really great roles he knows he remembers what he had to do I've got footage of what he had to do but I don't I don't get to keep the footage they do that's right you can have the footage to have to show you come over and watch it come over to my hotel room right now and watch it give me a little tickle while you're doing it you I'm outing dead you made me do some terrible stuff on fil I've had footage

of you getting terrible stuff done to you since we were kids mate like I don't know well you never never put up any objection don't worry we're just going to film this we don't have to worry it's no one's going to see it this is just for us I feel why does that make this better at some point at some point you have to accept responsibility for like for you didn't question that yeah but I st in my head what why does that make it better I'm doing this just for your per verion not even for the film my favorite thing about this whole conversation is that the audience doesn't know what we're talking about yeah that's right and it made it in the film to be fair it wasn't in the first cut and then when I remembered I had the footage and like

Dave and I watched the first cut of um bleed through we like it is a bit boring what can we what have we got to this up and we're like [ __ ] all which way we could put that in well like how does that fit into the story like it's a flashback it's a dream sequence everything needs more Luke I mean Matt you you you laugh but I've got footage of you [ __ ] dead bodies like yeah H in a film acting that's a and we clear that's a that is a live friend of ours she was a consenting yeah actress she really not dead at the time I about we move on to something else yeah can we talk about

the fact that the [ __ ] nft bubble has finally burst and this just makes me joyous absolutely joyous I this seemed inevitable to me because I just don't know I I cuz you weren't buying anything getting anything or you were but was you weren't I listen to a podcast uh earlier this week um on the this the Ezra Klein podcast with uh what's the guy's name it's the guy who does uh folding ideas on YouTube and he did a great YouTube video about nfts and and crypto and stuff and about how he thinks it's just mostly just a scam and he's right 90% of them literally are scams like for example the squid game one where it was literally just a scam and isn't the Bitcoin one like there's

just that one account that has like billions upon billions of dollars from the person who created who they don't know who it is and he could just cash out and the whole thing collapses well I mean yeah and like no one there's no way he spend Bitcoin on anything in particular like it's just like I don't know it's just this weird situation where everyone's suddenly for some reason everyone's decided bitcoin's very valuable but it's not it's not anything and like the whole world just turn around and go you know what let's all sell Bitcoin that we have and actually you know what there's not that much money yeah like cuz at least we have the stock market like you're actually there's money going into a business that can use it and make it yeah there's a

tangible asset attached to it but Bitcoin is just today I say this is worth $100 and then tomorrow it's worth and then 3 days it's 10,000 it's I completely agree with you and yet that's how the economy works with real money as well if all of us if everyone in this country went in and withdrew from the bank the amount of money their account said they have not everyone would get their money well that's literally happened in history in in the US in particular yes and it was very very bad yeah it didn't go well but I love the headline this is the guardian this is the the way the guardian reported this man who paid $2.9 million for nft set to lose almost $2.9 million because it's not worth anything the NF in question is

Jack dorsey's first tweet God he bought Jack dorsey's first tweet which if you're wondering was y'all setting up my Twitter um a lot of these people that went out and spel and spent this much money on this stuff well all rich people go I need to get on this quickly but they didn't realize that just because they owned it doesn't mean that other people still can't use the image use the tweet no of course they being sold on this myth that's what that's what this this guy's talking about like there's that famous you know the ape thing and the the board apes and all that kind of stuff and then there's this um yeah was it the very famous nft that was like a it was like a mosaic of all of those that sold for some something million dollars and it

was the biggest nft sale at the time and the person or people who bought it used it as tokens like pieces of the image as tokens for a new cryptocurrency that then then sold to a bunch of people and then they made a bunch of more money and so like it it's just a Ponzi scheme so what we should go with is what my idea of is this should be used as a way to keep track of their digital purchases so I can buy an album online but then I can also sell on or gift that to someone else sure but you could do that as well like no I can't I can't I can't sell a movie because they don't no but that's the thing is that like this is not a problem that needs to be solved outside of say you if you own it on say you own on your Xbox right and you want to sell it to someone else say

you want to sell it to Dan the only reason you can't do that is cuz Microsoft don't let you not because you need nft to I think this is a this this could be a way to sort of get that conversation to happen I think if they do it right that's why I'm confused do I would love to give I would I I'm I'm saying we don't need nfts to do that oh no I'm not but I'm just saying it'd be good to have maybe if just could start the conversation for that maybe but why because cuz Xbox actually tried to do this already in the past remember when Xbox One first came out they were going to allow us what what if nfts got to do with this he's saying we could we could use the blockchain we could use the blockchain to to start trading need the blockchain

you can just do it that's what I'm saying the blockchain is just just because people are talking about it I guess maybe yeah you talking about it but that but then it's still a scam like you don't need yeah I I'm just like the conversation I just want I want to be able to gift you guys one of the thousands of games I own that I've played that I'm never saying is that nfts have nothing to do with that nfts have nothing to yeah you don't need nfts to do that you need to convince Microsoft to let you do do do it Microsoft originally going to do it with Xbox one you got to you could loan games yeah you got to be able to even sell games and they that would take a cut but the whole thing is at the time you had to your Xbox had to connect to the

internet once every 24 hours and remember when the internet lost its mind and then we lost the ability but how would NF bring back let me gift games I own to people NS don't solve that just give me your Xbox just give me your login Luke I'll just log in as you I know and I'm not saying nft sold that I just wish that that could become a conversation out of this scam of nfts people keep saying like concert tickets could be nfts like why do we need concert tickets to be nfts you've got a [ __ ] account with Ticket Master or ticket Tech yeah this is a solved problem what do you need an NF for I just I don't understand what you what they're talking about if I need to sell ticket that I own I could do it already

they just don't let me it's not that nfts are solving anything it's just that the the ticket Tech won't let me sell it because they don't want me they want to sell more tickets like it's it I don't and oh yeah that that should be the conversation not about people buying nothing cuz effectively that's what people are buying when they're buying nfts bu thing is different yeah this particular guy whose name is Cena stavi who is a crypto entrepreneur whatever that means um he bought Jack dorsey's first tweet for $2.9 million because he said this is the Mona Lisa of the digital world his his words W um he was hoping to sell it for 48 million so from 2.9 Million to 48 million the highest

bid he got was for 6.8 th000 so um and he is now saying that he has chosen not to go ahead with the sale because he only wants true connoisseurs of nfts to own this he wouldn't sell it to just anyone no Matt it wasn't because of that he he'll assure you it wasn't because of that it or wasn't if he thought this was worth $48 million why did he only pay 2.9 for it and where's he got that figure from he's pulled it out of his ass cuz it's all a big [ __ ] nonsense because here's the thing look I don't know who he bought this off but whomever he bought this off did he buy it off Jack dorsy did dck dorsy just go and take a screenshot of his first same thing that happened with um Matt's music exactly you can buy my

music as an nft I have nothing to do with it but apparently someone took it upon themselves to sell my music well I've bought one M would would you buy it back off me for $48 million do you know why they were able to do that cuz it's all a big [ __ ] scam even even even with your music online um PewDiePie had made music or something that he you going to say PewDiePie my music I was like no PewDiePie or some some I don't know some YouTube stre had Creed music he's gone like yep guys use it go crazy for it but someone else claimed a copyright on his behalf and started putting copyright shs on other things and I was actually saying some organization is claims copyright on behalf of but it's not him right that sounds like war music was doing with

happy birthday for a hundred years until they got pointed out that they do not own the rights to it that's pretty much it and for him what he's not going to go fight it because well he doesn't he wasn't selling it he didn't it wasn't something that he was trying to make money of it was something he just put out there so he's not going to go fight it cuz that would cost him money to go and go what the hell are you doing that's actually mine and I gave it away andet terrible put me in when um mobile phones were just a new thing um and you know the digital sounds that your keyboards make when you type a number on an old phone people could make music on them yeah so one guy one guy created an algorithm that identified every possible

combination of notes that you could make with an 8-digit phone number and then he tried to patent those Tunes um with the intention of suing anyone who used Made Who call yeah who used a phone and therefore was infringing on his copyrighted music without permission yeah well that's that that that give some crit that that takes a bit of effort though he actually did something the computer did it for him I think once he written yeah but he still he did something others yeah yeah yeah like the people who brought the rights to cabara sits in the old gum tree that's right from Girl Guides and then sued Men at Work whereas they for a song so they brought they brought the rights I think like in in the 2010s or

something this men work song had been around since the 70s no one had a problem but the second they brought the rights you now owe us money and it's really well yeah maybe cuz that's how the in that case yes yeah that's right copy copyright laws have gone from something to protect artists to a commodity to trade and sell like [ __ ] nft to be if yeah if you're buying it and that's already known and nothing's happened there you just you accept that that's there and you move on listeners if I'm missing something about nfts WR in let me know podcast multip nasm.com cuz I don't get it if you'd like to buy our nfts let us know don't have any I'm not we don't know what they are or how to sell them let us know why you would want them yeah what benefit they give

you I just don't get it I don't know what we need them for um it's someone just came up a good idea to make money every use case people put forward I'm like we already do that or we could do that like Twitter people selling on N Twitter picture it's like so I can I can still see the picture and I can retweet the picture and I can exactly who gives a [ __ ] I just well here's the thing right so the other day Harper has gotten really into Sesame Street right right no sophus no he's there he's sophus is back from the dead no he's there no no they got rid of him because he was um an imaginary friend and Big Bird used to tell his imaginary friendly secrets and then SES gone that's a terrible idea for us to tell

children not big Sesame come in and said I don't put that no he's definitely there s's there all all the old guys are there I think that possibly just they redcon some of the old story lines perhaps but but watching Sesame Street as an adult is hilarious like it's so clever they're really good I [ __ ] Oscar the ground he's a homeless man he's a homeless man he lives on the streets I haven't put any of that kind of stuff on fer maybe I should oh they're really good she got this she got this Elmo book Zoe dashel was on an episode that I watched yesterday oh he's trying to convince me are you I'm just saying I think it probably worked as well um yeah maybe I'll check that out season 10 she's got this she's got this Elmo book which you flip through it like

Elmo likes to dress up Elmo likes this Elmo likes that and then so we're reading because she grabs It Off the Shelf she brings she decides what book she wants she brings it over to me we read it so we get halfway through this Elmo book and it gets to the page where it says these are Elmo's friends and it's a photo of all you know like big bird and Bernie n and Grove and everybody did you say Bernie and her yeah probably BT Ernie Grover and uh allv she grabs the book and just like licks the page like what was that and then just back to me yeah I lied him yeah yeah um yeah I don't know when Elmo became the lead cuz when Elmo was there when we were kids but he was everyone had equal

screen time that was just the [ __ ] Elmo show I think it was Tickle Me Elmo was when he went and now he's also got this thing where he goes crazy about that girl's pet rock rock yeah Rocky couldn't do that now now it's tickle me Gary Coleman loses your [ __ ] over that pet rock I know how is Rock alive explain that to Elmo Jesus um but I watched this retro uh episode the other day I was I'm looking on YouTube for some old clips but there's this one where this Shady dude on the street tries to sell um Ernie the number eight and it's [ __ ] hilarious like hey you want to buy the number eight and he's like yeah but that's essentially what it is it's like you're just buying the idea of something right yeah so I mean in

answer to your question is like why are people selling these why are people buying them like I can understand why somebody sells something that's why people are selling them yeah totally cuz I remember when and I don't know if this was real or not but um I know they at least made fun of it on on Comedy Company so that's the only thing I know about this but compy was a '90s sketch comedy show in Australia evidently Jason Donovan was selling jars of his own breath right because he had so many fans like female fans who just like so he was just getting old Vite jars taking the labels off breathing into them and and selling them and people were buying this like B bath water yeah like the exactly but see here's the thing why go to Bel deline and say why are you selling your

bath cuz people are [ __ ] buying it that's why are people buying NS that's I think at the time we were saying we I don't think we were defending her at the time she was doing it we're just saying it's justup defend right willing to do it go for exactly I mean I hate living in a world where a woman can sell her [ __ ] bath water but only because I think that's exactly but like it's like all these cosplayers like like Jessica ner and that kind of stuff more power to him if people want to just give them a bunch of money to dress in skimpy World of Warcraft costumes [ __ ] go nuts like good on you yeah they found it way but that's the thing that I'm jealous if you found out a way to sell people a [ __ ] jpeg of something we can all look at online then how are you mate because so

and I think that's the thing that really just I really confuses us about the nfts is you buy it you own it but everyone can still use it and see it well I guess definition of it's a scam I think yeah just Rings true no let's talk about something that's not a scam we just say oh yeah luk Luke's the boss Luke's the boss of the podcast he's definitely the boss it's like doesn't mean anything like let's talk about something for few weeks yeah obviously he is just shut up D A game that you've both been playing and both enjoying there now gets a new sequel which I'm I'm attributing to us talking about it oh you're saying that we have single-handedly boosted the

popularity of subnautica in the last three weeks yeah you could be right y to the point that they have now put out a tweet asking for people to hey come work in our next game have they mad at me yep do they do they want anyone with our particular set of skills or do they only want game developers to come and work for them they probably want people who you know how to make a game yeah I'll just sit there going yeah I mean what if what if you you're swimming around for a bit and then uh a yellow shark comes through what if one of the one if one of the resources you have to collect is a little string of poop that comes out of a fish when it's it's swimming around this tweet came out on the 8th of April we've been talking about this since March so I'm just

saying Fair the time is right yep they're seeking a senior narrative designer what does that mean is that something you could do I could design a narrative yeah I don't have to because do it in a senior way yeah just design it okay we're gonna start with the beginning yeah then we're gonna go and we'll call that act one right or the beginning okay act two we'll call the middle you've got a copy and you've got just below the you've got a copy of the hero with a thousand faces I'm just quickly reading it yeah yeah there needs to be a call to action okay yeah an inciting incident refusal of call yeah advice from old sage Sage

is that correct something like that yeah when you say a word and then suddenly you're like I don't think I've ever said that out loud Sage yeah yeah like sage like Sage advice right yeah absolutely it's not just the spice correct from Dune um probably getting to the end of uh the main episode so I'll just quickly I'll just quickly say that um over a 48 hour period of of me getting very frustrated very excited giving up having another go I finally got my old [ __ ] PC working very good I have a PC in my house now what was wrong with it there was some kind of corruption I couldn't boot into Windows Windows needed to be reinstalled on it so you blasted it but it doesn't have a dick dick Drive doesn't have a drive I mean it's got a dick Drive doesn't have

a disc yeah yeah I mean there's a dig in it that's that's for damn sure it wasn't until I took the dick out that it started working that's right also I could focus a lot more now do you have a PC or do you have like that's running Windows now it does run Windows now only Windows uh but it but more importantly more importantly it also runs the old Amiga because I just desperately needed to save myself $200 um buy the Amiga uh A500 mini you know what's going to happen now go on you're going to use that emulator for about 5 minutes and then you're going to use that to justify buying the igga you're going to be like this is as fun as I thought it would be yeah well here's the thing right so I I did some research I found where the best Amiga emulator is I loaded that on I

learned how to use it I've spent last night frantically downloading ROMs and by that I mean creating dis images out of games that I own legitimately and have the um floppy discs off in my home of course of course and uh hook my Xbox controller up to it so I could play it more uh in the style of the old game I mean Amiga just had a single button on a joystick um but it's also so I was playing Batman the movie by ocean software this morning I mean you guys can have all your Arkham games and play them as much as you want but I think the Pinnacle of Batman games was 1989 Batman the movie for the Omega um also available on c64 I believe yeah yeah oh I assure you it was yeah CU that's where I played it Matt do you think one or two weeks before he comes

on and tells us he's G out and purchased the from my Amiga yeah that's right well here's the thing here's okay so two two things number one I was playing Batman and a pinnacle part of the Batman the game is using the grappling hook to swing onto platforms right you need to be able to go diagonally right you have to be able to go diagonally the Oma 500 mini comes with not a joystick a controller oh with four buttons up down left and right now I'm sure you can get a diagonal by mushing the up and side buttons simultaneously but that is not ideal that's how it used to work yeah but even the old Sega Master System pad you it still had the diagonal yeah the Nintendo didn't not the original ones the

the original ones had the plus sign you could you would have to it was you could still push diagonal but this isn't a plus the plus side you could still lean into it this is four buttons yeah the Master System was good because you could go on the diagonal but yeah my Master System Too had the kind of rounded Edge yes almost like a diamond yeah round diamond I think it was the I think it was the was it the Mega Drive that actually had it then oh God the Mega Drive was more of a a for American listeners that's the Genesis genis was more of a yeah like a what do you call that like a plus sign but Dad yeah d-pad yeah but still it was easy uh I think Nintendo definitely was just plus sign n yeah oh and the Super Nintendo too actually right yeah the Super Nintendo

also or the famicom if you're if you're from Japan and the super ficon yeah it's true for a Japanese listener yeah you're going to buy one my I I've consider you're talking yourself into it just by doing this considered buying it knowing I won't play it just to have it on my [ __ ] shelf I want it so badly now you've done the emulator you're now going to use it you're going to play it and go see I'm using it I will I I will it's Pro and it's still just going to go and sit on the Shelf cuz well I've got the emulator I can't figure out what to do with my atar so use for it put money on it yeah wait you about $200 on money I need what I need for it birthday's coming up 250 you could come

out on top then yeah that's right um so from now on I'm only going to play games released between 1987 and 1994 because I'm just on a kick well that's that's bad news for Ron Gilbert but we'll talk about that more in the Afterparty perhaps yeah and David grman also back I'm [ __ ] so excited about this and there's a game that's just come out on Game Pass that I think that you guys might like M go on trying to find the name of it it is Chinatown detective agency oh oh I've seen that yeah I've got it I I played the beta it is on Game Pass which I oh okay no I have it on I have it on Steam but uh made in Singapore stem all right and it's a good old point and click adventure yeah it is and it's good

it's uh and if you know Singapore the locations are oh they've got the NBS M the the building with a boat on it ship it's in there I was about was going to ask you yeah it's in there it's definitely worth it Luke definitely worth a look and it's on Game Pass you can play it yeah it's on Game Pass I hav't installed I just haven't sat down to play it because I was playing I don't know what I was playing a lot of nothing Well if we're in the Afterparty which I think we are I'm I've been playing something it's Matt Matt shh tease it ask for money and we'll talk about oh yeah yeah yeah no no I was going to say if we're in the Afterparty I'll talk about if we're not in the after party I won't talk about it yeah patreon.com multiple nerdgasm if you

want to hear what game I've been playing you got to Shell out 10 bucks a month baby patreon a billion dollars to buy the podcast oh yeah and then and then you can just tell us what to talk about I suppose yeah it'll probably take less than a billion so you know no no no let's let's start there yeah let let let let the market the commence that's all for this week thank you for listening and we hope you enjoyed the show if you enjoyed it then please subscribe and items to receive episodes automatically we'll see you next time
