weird yeah it's just it's weird it's a couple of there's like three extra three four extra centimet of length I can't imagine which I guess makes sense cuz that's obviously that that that's not going to happen to me but you've cuz it is quite sudden the change for you I mean it's not it's been slow but not really it's been like a month not really how long's it been it's been a couple of weeks that's what I mean it's been been it's been over a month there I've been I've done a millimeter a day quite rap many days CH that where you're actually going to be noticeably walking different that's going to it's quite rapid for that to happen I mean if I grew 3 cm in a month and then just walked up to you guys you'd be like what's going on Dan well I don't know what that would be

like it doesn't normally happen you know what I'm saying like like if I woke up and I was 3 cm taller would I notice I mean I guess I would the interesting thing now is I actually put my leg sort of down I can't put any weight of my leg down but I put my leg on the ground just to get an idea and I know I'm going to have to learn how to walk again I've walked on my toes for 20 you're going to have a reverse limp I'm now going to have to yeah I'm going to have to learn how to walk reverse limp like he's going to limp on the other side because he's like yeah and he's what he's going to trip over his long leg cuz it's going to take me a long time to learn to put my foot down wait Hanah pisses you off correct me if I'm wrong but the procedure was done primarily to cuz you

were in a lot of pain from walking crooked right it's it's not because it's like oh I really just want to be I want my shoulders to be the same height on either side so do you feel even with this small Improvement that that this is going to be successful that you're going to probably be I'm taking lots of extra painkillers at the moment so in a sense it's working yeah definitely if I could just have all the painkillers I was about to say why wasn't that an option before this expensive surgery were you like can I just have all the drugs please I think I think he did that for a while didn't you in my understanding no but with the doctor's supervision stop doing this version of Luke we should write you the prescriptions for these

drugs no the problem is is I'm getting the prescriptions for the drug drugs and I'm on a lot of opioids which is bad for you long term W but it's how my body functions and I've what one thing I'm trying to do now throughout this is I haven't been drinking okay and what when I say I Haven been drinking I have the occasional beer or I was going to say you've Luke haven't been drinking I'm Luke haven't been drinking yeah yeah and next week I'm actually going to try and start reducing my pain kills and just use the pain as a yeah the Pain's going to be there cuz I'm dealing with this and I'll justly try and juice everything but yeah no drinking no Luke drinking yeah that's good [ __ ] like when I watch football I have beers yeah like did you watch the AFL no I I watch Real Football sorry

there is an F1 car that you can buy that you don't actually sort of own so you buy it you don't get to have it in your garage or anything if you want to drive it for the day you organize it bring it out to the track they put it out you drive it around the track they then take the car away yeah right that could be cool I wouldn't let me drive one of those cars I would could you drive like have you seen the steering wheel 300 km an hour the steering wheel has so much [ __ ] on it I wouldn't know where to begin and and the driver has to control how much air and fuel goes into the thing it's just no no I think the hardest thing to actually understand is actually how fast you have to go around corners and that's a thing that a lot of drivers would have trouble with on TV it looks slow but

then when you see the speed they're like going 90 mph when they're going you need to you need to have that speed going in and around the corner so you've got enough downforce so you don't slide out so if you're going too slow around the corner you will slide out cuz the car have we turned into a sports podcast as what's What's happen I think I've somehow turned into a sports person it's I don't know what's happened let's talk about cuz also have you seen tires that they drive on the tires are smooth this is not the type of nerdy we do guys what's happening oh they do have wet weather tires as well luk that look like our I'm put I'm put the kaios on look speaking of testing right we're talking about testing uh the FDA has come out and they've said

guys we need to put more warnings on these [ __ ] at home covid tests right cuz people are putting the [ __ ] liquid in their eyes and up their nose and if they're like swirling the thing in the liquid and and swabbing their nose with so yeah listeners read the instructions please the instructions have pictures yeah just the the liquid's not supposed to go anywhere near you ideally it's not don't drink it don't use it as eye drops don't you know any nothing don't inject it I've got one just here and it's nothing about it going anywhere near your eyes Know M I know I mean it isn't a little droppy typy thing gu resem but who gets who gets something like a covid-19 test and goes I'm sure it's I'm sure it's intuitive why just

drink this I guess and then then I guess I'll piss and see what comes out and then it'll tell me Co like swab up here oh that's painful but I guess everyone else is doing it so me all the time when I really think about how stupid a lot of the world is I know so yeah anyway maybe it's just Americans I don't know but they've said uh yeah please stop just don't put the test solution anywhere near your body just leave it in the little the test solution does not go in you no no or on you or or anything just leave it in there [ __ ] hell mhm so yeah I think the most common one is that people are um dipping it in and then swabbing dipping water so they get the little swab to put in your noes and they dip it in the solution first and

then they SW and it's like don't do that don't do that can sort of see that though yeah that's the most not if you've read the instructions I think not if you've read the instructions though this is [ __ ] insane I did one the other day I don't trust my intuition on these things to the point where I read the instructions thoroughly through then explained my take on it to H for a sanity check before I opened any of the little packets yeah I did one and I was like I still can't trust this cuz I I probably did this wrong somehow mhm yeah go far enough up my nose or even when you go to the test center and they hear that the for the test centers originally they would do it for you but then as it kind of went on they would just hand you the swab and then you do it and give it

back to them and I was like don't let me do it always did it for you yeah don't let me do it they don't do it as high anymore as they used to like the first time I got a covid test when I first came to Australia I I swear they tickled my [ __ ] brain with that thing like and that's why I was like I'm not going to yeah yeah I've forgotten how to speak certain languages now my brain certain years of my child are G used to be fluid in Latin not anymore no it was Latino I know when I did my know we want to stop from doing that a couple of weeks ago um like I read through on instructions I went through it and then when it came up positive like instantly

Bruce Willis in the new season of the Mandalorian that's what I thinking maybe he borrowed the no he's just saying because he's also passed it uh past the dementia point of no return oh yeah but he he he could still I think bris is I don't know how bad he is guys careful Hollywood people listen to this podcast please do not cast Bruce Willis in the m I still maintain I think Christoph it's still possible that what we witnessed was just Christopher Lloyd not actually caring as much about these iconic roles as the rest of us did and so but he's a he's actually a serious actor and when you ask him about Star Trek he doesn't know anything about Star Trek he learned the line he did his job and now he's happy to talk to you about it but he

doesn't really know that much about it yeah but no I there's other things that sort of gave me the impression that he wasn't quite is that why you think GTH palro doesn't think she was in a Spider-Man is is because she's such a great actor that uh no I think she just doesn't give a [ __ ] I think that's I also think at that time when she was filming those scenes she was filming a few different has has fingers in a lot of pies and I don't think she gives two shits about Spider-Man yeah except for when the checks come in exactly can I inter that was one second I won't talk about it this week because I'm not at the end yet but I started watching Spider-Man no way home in theory I'm about to watch it after this very podcast so I'm in theory we can talk about Spider-Man no homo next

trailers that they've done where like look people know the Hulk's going to be in th so here he is minder they've removed Hulk from trailers in the past as well yeah actually yeah and well and I know see I don't want to say too much I know it's been two weeks and Luke's being Luke's being very nice by not just spoiling it for us and by and I already seen spoilers online I know that they did some trickery with the trailers and that kind of stuff I'll be watching it I think tonight after this we'll see but that's the plan things change these days but uh that is the plan but by next week daughter allows you exactly uh you know what I've discovered that's magnificent cuz I watch a lot of um Let's Plays and things like that of retro video games and um Harper loves them she thinks

and they sort of become sort of the stars of the show but no I I don't mind it but there was an episode with Christopher Lloyd in it and he didn't seem 100% there either H right not the character though not the character it's actually Chris he's an actor you know that right cuz yeah yeah but he was he was basically playing he was playing a collections agent who wanted to own a lauran pretty much it was like a big stretch at not at all it's like a different he was a a lot of his he was a lot like Doc and do you know what I une Earth the other day cuz I was um doing some shuffling around with Google accounts for reasons that you guys would know but the listeners don't give two

directors like when filming's pretty much done they've come in and gone you're gone come in redo it all yeah yeah so just be very careful you watch out in the off well evidently Kathleen Kennedy has done the exact same thing because uh and I don't know when in the process this happened but Obi-Wan Kenobi has been quote unquote overhauled because Kathleen thought it was too dark um one of the things I've heard that they've changed is they were originally going to have Darth Maul I saw that as as someone that Obi-Wan fights but they've replaced him with Darth Vader which Darth Maul would make a bit more sense I just CGI his face onto Darth Maul's body yeah hopefully no one will notice see does he call him Darth because we don't even need to redo uh

the you and stuff we just that's right but it's sort of really it's going to really if is is if he is sort of getting hyene fighting Darth Vader all this time it really sort of takes away from it's been a long time since I sort of felt this like i s last week yeah it's been on Tata did you look there yeah [ __ ] hell um I'm still very nervous about OB and I'm actually starting to get nervous for a lot of people who I think are excited for it cuz a lot of people trailer looks pretty good I think well trailer looks the trailer the overhaul version or not that's what I couldn't ascertain but what I'm looking at a lot of people who probably love Obi-Wan from like the prequels and stuff they're probably liking him from the Clone Wars which isn't y McGregor

yeah it's based off y mcgreger but it's not y mcgreger it's another character well this is a quote it's a quote from Yan McGregor Obi-Wan is lost oh wait he means the character never mind my bad evidently they have recast during this overhaul um the young Luke Skywalker actor which makes me nervous oh wait why why did why was that necessary he shouldn't be doing anything that's he plays such a major role um I find it interesting because if the reason that they redid it was because it was too dark does that mean that the actor kid actor was doing it too serious and now they want someone more of a Jake Lloyd vintage you know I'm really concerned one thing I'm looking forward

these have been on good old games I think in some of them at least but becoming out on Steam uh you know updated to work on Modern computers are the uh not not as you know remasters or anything just they'll just work are the old goldbox D and D role playing games mhm uh which listeners may remember and I got excited when I read this but then I looked at what the games were and I was like no these were great these were fantastic yeah but they were but and these are the type of things that you will buy and then you'll load it up and you'll hit a couple of screens and then you go yep that was fun and then you will never play it again okay so for example I I had gateway to the Savage Frontier on my Commodore 64 back in the day and I have very fond memories of it

being a fantastic game so I looked up a video you should have played it on the Amiga man I I bet it was breathtaking but I looked up a video of it and I forgot right I'm not sure how I would play this these days because the actual stories in a book that came with the game and when you get to a a bit it goes read page 12 yes yes it is so my question is has this been updated to include the story in the actual game or do I still have to read a book or they just you download a PDF at the same time I think I I reg be a PDF that's what you do on good old games cuz I checked yeah they're not they're not they're not redoing any of these they're not updating sure yeah yeah so that that's but we but Matt grab Hills far hillsfar

change no no no it's actual 3D I'm trying I just know I'm never going to play it but I will end up owning it like twice mhm cuz there's a lot of games that I I've purchased a couple of times cuz I go I really want this forget that I already own it and then buy it again see now I'm in a situation where so I don't have steam really on my laptop here but I have it on PC and I've been using as a steam box to stream stuff to but I've got a lot of games that I have in Gog so I'm like I have to rebot it on Steam if I want to do it that way so yeah which is ridiculous because I've no no no I've re things on Steam that I already have on run any of these games like yeah these are all very old games but yeah so I'm excited about my steam Li God I own some

games yeah you probably beaten me now I I remember back years ago I I had the most ridiculous but I think you've probably far exceeded me at this point I'm very careful with which games I buy on Steam now for that exact reason I'm not quite at a thousand I think I'm going to I need like I think about 20 more games I hit a th000 well I went through I went through the Ukraine bundle onio God and and and kind of downloaded to the It app a few couple of dozen app yeah you can get the desktop app and then um know that all right you can create games yeah you can install the games through the app uh all right I'll be doing that and what what actually what's the best part about the

app is that you can bookmark the games and put them into categories without installing them so it's kind of like what you when you buy a steam game and it's there but you don't have you haven't installed it yet but you still know you've got that game oh look yeah I'll install that later um so there are a few there's definitely a handful of games I mean when it comes to these type of games I I mostly go for the kind of horror games and the kind of retro vintage point and clicks and stuff like that and there was certainly certainly you know 10 or 12 of them there that I wanted to play I think definitely worth the $10 I I I actually think they like undervalued that oh absolutely yeah I know they were doing as a way to make money but I

reckon they could have sold just as many by making that $20 for as a yeah I probably would have paid 20 still just because it was for a good cause as well yeah and not the like yes you could have up donation amount to be that 20 but I know a lot of people are just no I'm only going to pay the 10 but I think they should have they yeah they've undervalued that I think also for for I'm particularly you and I Dan where our gaming time is somewhat limited these days these kind of little games are quite cool because you can feel like oh I finished a game yes which doesn't I don't get to do that very often anymore mhm yeah whereas I'm playing Grand Theft Auto 5 again yeah I never played five I've not not really good game yeah I know it looks good but I I know I

don't have time to get into it at all I had fun with it I got uh there was that weird Quest where I I think I accidentally ate drugs and Aliens came yep yeah that that is one of the the funny things about this game because it's set from a time when before marijuana was legal in America some of the quests are about like making marijuana illegal and everything it's like but it is legal now M like this isn't a quest anymore funny still parts of America where it's illegal or is it it's technically illegal everywhere in the country okay at a federal level right see I don't I don't enjoy it so I haven't really bothered to look into it I know that in Massachusetts it's fine and I think in Connecticut it's also fine I think in Ro

Island it's not as fine but I don't know the specifics cuz can't you get like or something that are like will get you high now like you don't even have to smoke ited Edibles or whatever yeah you've always been able to get edibles I'm pretty sure any of that kind of marijuana which means it might I don't know why they bother not just just make it legal here in Rhode Island if Connecticut's doing it and Massachusetts is doing it what what's the point we can I can drive 5 minutes if I wanted it like but I think that's the the big thing where they can still get you the crossing state lines is also a big thing as well even if it is legal between the two states it's all weird well it's the [ __ ] FBI comes after you if

you two states they I forget which state did it first it wasn't but they don't know who actually put the bill through for it to become legal probably someone just submitted it anonymously and attached it to another bill and it went through oh really they folded up small and stapled they didn't notice and pot is legal yeah I think they attached some Bill that sort of had to go through they just sort of like this has to goach 40 Zones near schools and also PO is legal schools so strange but it'll be legal here in Australia one day I'm sure I still don't see the point in it I find it very very boring yeah but like people like it whatever I don't give a [ __ ] they [ __ ] do man it the medical center in

the mall near me has a big sign in the window saying ask us about medical marijuana did you ask him no but and I never thought about it until I saw that sign and I'm like well I mean and how do you how do you approach them about that you just walk up to the desk and go tell me about medical marijuana yeah they will then point you to a doctor that is quite friendly to their cause but I suppose you have to go in there and go I've got some and the guy goes eye strain yeah eye strain and also some pain from he's like cancer yes I've also got that um well you go in and you go up and you go I'd like to I'd like to inquire about medical marijuana and they slap the handcuffs and they go you're under arrest you fell for our cunning plan

okay what some of the things you can get medical marijuana for um you um an appe as an appetite suppression suppressant as a way to help you eat more please help me I'm hungry way to pay that's right no I'm literally staring yeah I don't want enough chips if anyone walks in there you will be able to work out something to tick off that list yeah right we got some followup Alexandra didario news oh who's that again uh um gorgeous gorgeous girlfriend of Charlie day that you don't find one episod of always say now he's married don't don't careful his wife also always sunny and I'd always assume they met on the show in the same way that no they already knew each other but they didn't they were long long long before then she

this picture and I didn't know who Paul Wesley was he's Stefan from The Vampire Dar is one of the the he he was the main character well no cuz what's her name was the main character but he was the main love interest at first things changed as time went on bit M uh he's fine he was good in that he looks the part he looks yeah you know and I've not I haven't seen him do that much since then so I was kind of like oh cool I like him so good on him good for him I'm I'm actually really looking forward to this yeah this looks good I'll admit but I didn't know that this was I knew it was in the style of the old the original series but I didn't know that it literally was a remake of the original series see yeah it's all set before uh

Kirk takes over his command so it's set before the original series I'm interested to see the tone of this because I didn't I I I liked Discovery season one but then and it was a bit yeah I just finished watching season 4 and it I just I'm looking forward to this going back to the all contained episodes even season two of Discovery I couldn't make it through like season one lost me end Discovery honestly yeah no yeah season 4 I just finished watching cuz that last episode of that just came out and it was I think that's the last of Discovery but I I did yeah I didn't really like the last few seasons cuz it was painful yeah well hopefully this is it wasn't Star Trek to me I'm interested to see the tone of this cuz I know that they're saying this is going

to be more like the original and and certainly it looks like it look that that shot of him the style of the CH which actually is a little confusing cuz the others are more futuristic you know so they're kind of yeah I don't know how they're going to explain why his chair is a little more retro one of the things I'm really looking forward to is seeing more captain pike yeah he was good CU do you remember Captain Pike and just he was amazing he was the only thing I liked about season 2 to be honest and I still didn't make it through but yeah I I I I'm missing that episodic sort of show something you can just throw on Watch and you don't have to like back to the good old days like if you miss an episode it doesn't mean

that you have no idea what's happening anymore yeah I started watching something like that this week uh and I was actually very concerned it wasn't going to hold up but I find it does in a Charming way I've started watching the X Files from season 1 oh yeah okay I've tried that before and I didn't get all the way through I can't remember well I might not get all the way through either because there's like 10 seasons right and like even back from a time when it was all 26 episodes for a season and yeah there's a lot of episodes um cuz but I'm push on with Hannibal right and then I needed a break after season 2 cuz it was the most intense [ __ ] thing I'd ever seen in my life and you know how last week I said I was a little bit confused um yeah

it was cuz the show was tricky it was the show was tricking me basically all right um but also and I'll just quickly say that I won't crap on and on about it because I did last week but um I had always assumed because the characters were younger in the series Hannibal than they are in the books and films that exist that this was a prequel um it's not it's a reimagining and so things will happen from the books in this show in slightly similar slightly different ways so you kind of have to just pretend you don't know interesting what's going on yeah um me and Hannah have actually got back into watching Angel and Buffy oh yeah nice yeah we're still doing that cuz they're both on Disney plus so we're watching the like one Angel one Buffy one Angel one buff oh nice I've always

wanted to do it like that yeah you got to get up season 3 first because it's all on the One streaming service now it's just easy MH yeah and it is still it is funny like we watched we just saw the first sort of mix up with the new format we watching Angel and there's a fight scene and then you see the cameraman following someone get into a bookcase wow yeah but it's sort of weird watching it and you go like cuz back in the time like if you missed an episode which was quite possible back then sure you never got another chance to see that episode that was it there was no catch up or there might have be a rerun in a year or two time but yeah if you missed it that's it yeah well they have previously un Buffy the Vampire

Slayer yeah but you can't watch it I think is what he's saying and even if they rerun the series you've got to know exactly the episode you missed which you wouldn't mhm yeah and sometimes they show you stuff they go previously on both of the vampire and you see something you go well that's not in context yeah yeah that's not how that happened but wasn't got to do with anything the worst episode slash I appreciated it slightly more but SL still the worst episode is the Dracula one oh I'd forgotten about that it's got it it's not as bad as I remember but there's still stuff in it that's just like why did you do this so weird anyway he was focusing on getting laid instead of writing the script there's a few

episodes there's an episode of angel that was on the other night too that we watched no it was on wasn't on the other night we put it on the other night but it was also the tone of it was just so weird and I was like what were they doing why' they do that like they were trying well it's also because like I remember and I know it's not cool to love Jos Weeden anymore but remember the awesomeness when you were about to watch an episode of Buffy and this is when you hadn't seen them yet cuz they were new and it came up written and directed and you be like oh this is going to be good yeah because phone's going to be spot on yeah because they would just Farm out so many episodes in the season to other writers and and directors um so that you you would get

some that are just like oh this isn't very good and then yeah which is why I think television's better now because they don't do that anymore they don't go we have to have 26 episodes they go if we've only got enough for 12 episodes that are good we're making 12 episodes and in fact sometimes I look at and I like 12 or 13 I'm like w you've probably paded this out Australia or in America as well because halfway through filming when they started going through the the studio just didn't know what they had and the network was like just tell us what the best episodes are and we'll play those first and hopefully people get into it and then we just play the rest [ __ ] yeah and then so when you watch it it was really uneven like cuz the whole thing

was the power dynamic between the two main characters who kind of were friends and then enemies and then Frenemies and you know so but it just jumped around and there were four episodes they didn't show at all and when you where they brought the DVD out years later they had them in the Airing episode the broadcast what order not the correct order and the four episodes were there but on a separate disc as bonus not put back into the thing and then I realized how does this [ __ ] happen when you download it on the Pirate Bay it's also in the wrong order right so I have gone through done they've done a DVD so the wrong order labed 1 to 24 or whatever and then 25 26 27 28 are the omed episodes so I've gone through now

and reordered it just Bas I've researched and reordered it in my own thing and I'm I'm tempted to reupload this to the [ __ ] Pirate Bay being like but how does this Happ don't say that and don't do it how does this happen how if it like if it's actually nonsensical which and because I know this has happened with other shows too I'm trying to remember Firefly Firefly yeah oh yeah something else too where it was very obvious that that's what had happened and it's like how how are you not fixing it firly didn't even play the first episode until week three it's when Executives think they know better than the creatives not understanding what they're actually even I guess it's the same thing as like with these Buffy releases where you can see the cameraman

like did no one watch this the [ __ ] are you doing why does no one have a problem with this yeah look I think I think they do but it does look better as a whole for a lot of it and like we could spend the money to fix it or we could just see if anyone see if enough people give a [ __ ] first and fix it clear not enough people people are sort of people are sort of mentioning it but they're not really up in arms complaining or we're still watching it and they're getting the money and still it does look better Buffy was like that anyway because if you remember Buffy was shot week to week had written week to week as well a lot so there were continuity errors that they had to go back and fix and even things like when you're watching on the DVDs there'd be shots that were really

grainy just one shot in the middle really grainy and if you listen to the director's commentary on the DVDs they be like oh yeah we underexposed this and had to just boost it up and I remember at the time thinking like why didn't you just do it again and do it right but they had limited time a limited budget and once they shot it that was it there was no going back but even [ __ ] like Dara who it was just uh Julie Benz was in not even like the first handful of episodes an Angel kills her yeah and then later on you learn oh they were you know they were they were lovers and they had lived together for 200 years and he's obsessed with her and it's like hang on a minute he just killed her you know that yeah he killed her like she was nothing do make any like if you

think about it too much it doesn't make any sense yeah yeah and that's the thing with television I think and movies in general you do need just have to just accept things well as you were saying Luke you never used to be able to go back so you were just you always just no one's going to remember yeah no one's going to remember that she was she was just each bat on her corpse yeah she was the first character in the first episode first person you saw y yeah her and Drew are in Angel currently I was like oh yeah I was like oh yeah I remember why I liked this so much when I was a teenager M good casting yeah you know where there's a lot of really likable

teenagers oh God also probably Jeffrey Island looks looks like Luke's gonna be abstaining from the after party this week for legal reasons are these are these teenagers played by 30y olds though I think it's it's it's it's actually I think it's just Julie Benz and Juliet landow and they're they're a bit older now I think you'll find I think Juliet landow was of age even back in the day right oh Julie Benz as well right how was Julie Ben yeah I think so of age don't say it like that I think I think you're fine we could have if we wanted to legally speaking I mean yeah me J Weeden did yeah uh Julie wanted to get fired Julie Julie bands is 49 so okay yeah so definitely definitely over 18 now is
