podcast you why the [ __ ] not yeah cuz yeah this time I'm going in I'm going in on a Thursday so I'll definitely been over the weekend so I'll take my equipment and I'll set it up and we'll see what happens [ __ ] hell all right so that's on the I I don't know why the word equipment seemed dirty when you said it but it did so I go in on the 14th of December so still got time okay still definitely here next few weekend I'll be probably seven six seven days okay all right yeah just a top up before Christmas very good very good so this is an ongoing thing obviously now so my painkillers have actually dropped quite a lot so actually my head's a lot clearer and stuff yeah but yeah pain starts to creep up and then they just book me in and fil me full of horse

tranquilizer do you tell them when you need it or do they is it like a timed thing I tell them when I need it okay like I go like even I was exp I was explaining to the professor um at work even work have noticed like I'm starting to I was telling the professor how to do his job yeah that's right but I've been quite good but a professor at your work I don't know where you work clearly no my pain special is a professor sure and I was telling him like even work notice that like cuz I went back to full time and my work going you want to go back to a nday week because they can start noticing that I'm week that's intense two extra days go back to a normal human week yeah mind you you could take that in two

ways if people started saying to me Dan um you don't need to come in some days yeah yeah like all right yeah that's right will you be paying less or yes that's the other part they pay you less yeah yeah which I don't want that cuz I like to waste all my money on stuff lot of Xbox stuff on sale I noticed today there is few things look it doesn't affect me because I can't even remember the last time I put on my Xbox I mean I can but it was one day and before that it was months I last thing I played with Starfield and I haven't touched yeah I finished Starfield and I haven't been back to that didn't grp me Alan Wake is great though I believe it really really good I've heard it's very good yeah it's also cool they've got the actor who played Max

pain in it so he's your sort of the FBI FBI FBI oh and he plays okay so you can yeah that's great you still kind of pretend that this is just what he's doing now but they have definitely tied this into like control and oh what's that other game they made um Quantum break Quantum break it's now very much this is definitely 100% shared Universe really mhm that's interesting yeah I think Le into it a little too much though they sort of like I think in control they sort of there was a DLC with alen waking and stuff but this one it's a federal control in it and yeah they've I think they've gone a little bit too far I think it would have been nice to ease into it I mean control was a great game very imaginative but I

didn't liken it to Alan Wake in any way other than the obvious connection but I I also played yeah I guess I played most of Alan Wake thinking that you weren't really meant to know if this was real or if he was going mad and and then kind of at the end they kind of leaned into no no no it's really he really in another dimension now it's not a lake it's an ocean sorry it's not a lake it's an ocean that's right sure but uh yeah the the fact that now they're just like oh and break and is is Incorporated in and it's like magic is real now that's just part of the universe it's not saying it's but yeah so Alan W it's all set 13 years after the first game which is when

the last game came out and oh yeah yeah and it's sort of following on from there and I'm money a little bit in but I'm enjoying it they know when they were going to release it when they amazing when they started writing itaz no they had to wait they wrote it the year after years oh guys so just completely just just random [ __ ] that pops into my head during the week right yeah so Christian Bale yeah right the actor Batman yes oh oh that one the excellent the most excellent Christian Bale actor right Christian Bale is all right a he yeah he's all right unless you get on his bad side or your reward that he doesn't like he will choke you in a restaurant oh no wait that was someone else what did he

do he punched punched his sister anyway oh did too yeah yeah he did who hasn't punched their sister I've punched your sister but she was being a [ __ ] no I adore your sister to Luke's sister listening to this she might she's part of the multi multiple nerdgasm family as well as just be part of Luke's actual family yes um so he played John Connor in one of the uh Terminator films right Terminator Salvation I believe not the best Terminator film but arguably probably the best performance of a John Connor right pretty good it I was thinking about it this week yeah I didn't mind it right and then it occurred to me Christian Bale is within two years of age with Mr Edward

Furlong he could have played John Connor in Terminator 2 imagine that imagine if they had had the foresight he was in a Japanese prison camp back then when he but but then maybe he escaped from that prison camp Matt that's the whole point but then maybe he would have gotten overweight into drugs and gone off the rails yeah we can only hope and he did get overweight a couple of times but that that was he did that on purpose yes that was for a role not just I've man's weight fluctuates more than mine for Christ's sake control yeah that's right yeah but I plan to do it that's the difference down oh so do I it's just I don't get the rols yeah yeah I don't know if you saw this there's an article I really want to

talk about when I found very confusing this week so there's this YouTuber out there called the completionist and oh yes I did see this yeah so his mother passed away years ago and had Alzheimer's and then he started a charity for them for her raise money and they've been raising money all this year but they haven't donated the money they've been collecting money since 2019 yeah they've got like but the thing is it's not one of these cases where they've taken the money and they've spent it and stalling it it's just sitting in a bank account that's just the weirdest part about it but is it sitting in his personal bank account or or in the Charity's company bank account it's the charity in a way right so they took this money and they started a

foundation and the point of the foundation is supposed to be to donate the money to various you know medical Charities and all this kind of stuff the foundation is called the Open Hand foundation and it's owned by his family so they did give the money to the foundation and it's been sitting in the foundation bank account there is now what like almost 700 Grand yeah like hold on hold on they set up a charity to donate foundation and the foundation they set up so they started the charity and the foundation are owned by the same family it's it's called The Open Hand foundation and they did like what's the what's the thing they do called the it's not like a charity event Indie City or something it's called yeah it's a thing they do every year they do

that and all the money from it gets put into this foundation and the foundation is supposed to distribute it to various Charities oh I see right except it's not been doing that it's just been hoarding money like a dragon because I saw this on kle job's Channel and yes I saw he had a chat to him and they've gone one of the things when he reached out for they went oh the reason why we had done it is before we went public with the foundation St we donated body parts and stuff it's was like that nothing to do with people they said could you elaborate on what you meant by that and they just said oh not really worry don't worry but even think like that would have been a personal thing like they probably donated their mother's body for research and stuff

which is a thing but that's nothing to do with money you've right since it's a weird thing to mention to be honest it's also a very weird way to put it if if that was Vera what they said yeah evidently is that is what they said yeah and the guy who was who sort of behind it like not behind the foundation but behind raising money to the completionist he only became aware of it like last year and then that they weren't donating money on and he's gone like and not we're active looking we're trying to find a good place to get it because the place where we did it originally we weren't happy with what they were doing but they've been still going out every raising more money going we're donating all this money but they're not what he said was he they

they so they've there's like three Charities that they said they were going to give the money to and they said when they looked into it they were like oh we don't really want it just going to payroll for people who who operate the charity wanted to go towards research or something like that and so they just didn't do anything on to it five years or whatever saving up and then and then they were saying oh you know what should we do with it what should we do with it and then like Carl and ordinary gamer for his real name the two of them they were like give it to the Charities you said you were going to give it to that people gave you the [ __ ] money for that's what you should do with it cuz whatever the people thought they were donating to that's what you should do it

that's what you're legally required to do like even when he said he found out they've done nothing illegal yeah which not the point but might be true forline fraud I would say they ran it again this year and said yes we're donating it so even after he supposely found out about it he still ran it again and went we're doing this they've always said we're giving it to these three Charities amongst others and then but the weird thing is is it's the money is still there yeah it's not like they're driving around in a Ferrari yeah no but it is like like were they just waiting to get a certain amount and then just like yeah they want that or something weird like that like yeah that's or is it real in which case this is GNA really suck for them because it's

got a lot of publicity now yeah like and I don't you're not going to be doing a lot next year I think you sort of foundation is over because no one's going to trust you cuz if I don't make money I expect it to go to where you told me it's going pretty he said he himself the completionist said this now he's [ __ ] because if he donates the money no one's going to know whether it was because he got busted for something or if it was like really going to happen so he's like either way he's [ __ ] now look I actually believe that with the money still being there I believe they were they were holding on it to donate but it's just i' like to give the benefit of the doubt cuz to me if you you would have spent it yeah or put it in an offshore Bank account where they

couldn't it's a long time to be like it is a long 5 years or four years I guess to to be fair four years they couldn't figure it out in that time like how hard would they must have a plan the reason they found it out is because they checked the tax returns right because it's a it's a nonprofit foundation so you can view their tax returns online so they were looking into it and it's every year they just kept amassing cash right just their cash balance went up every year up to like nearly 700 Grand but they had some administrative costs coming but not like an alarming amount like like between 10 20 grand or something in maximum years which I guess if you're running the charity events to raise the money that all makes sense so it's like it's not suspicious other than

the fact that it's like why do you still have this money look I saw a few channels trying to claim oh they're a bit sus with their administ cost not really saying what it is and I'm going no it's not a to me it seems like a reasonable amount to I was I kept waiting for some for Kyle to say some egregious thing and that like that never happened yeah yeah so I think they were g a bit hard on that that part of the story to say that they have a little bit but if they don't have a good answer for why didn't you give the Charities the money then I that's the big thing I still call foul on this yeah totally you know that's what everyone's saying now either they it could honestly just I'm not saying it was a deliberate scam but what's going on I think you've got the

right to ask these questions I don't I think like maybe a like the first year you do it the second year like we we did it we haven't quite found yeah we me our our goals and so yeah yeah you having some trouble there all right so yeah I just want to discuss that because I just found it really weird this that story yeah yeah no I saw that too I forgot I've forgotten about it actually but what you said is true though is that this is Tainted now they're going to have to shut this whole thing down because that's the way things work now you know with the internet bad press it's not like it used to be there was a 24-hour news cycle you're [ __ ] now if if you've seen to be dodgy you're dodgy and like that's a shame but they have

had four years to say something yes like like if if it was like a year later and they still had the money you could go oh we were just waiting two years later sorry guys we still have three years four years it's like come on man yeah you've been basically been lying yeah now yeah look there's another example uh of something that kind of is about reputations being spoiled this week which is um one of the actors from Wednesday has been sacked by uh the network and is not allowed back in the show um because somebody took to social media and said oh I knew that guy when I was a teenager he was a creep he was at a party I was at once and um was pressuring this girl to sleep with him and uh and she was underage and he was you know 20 or something

um and they've sacked it now not only has he come out and said that didn't happen but he's also asked the girl who was called out to tweet that that didn't happen and she did she was like no I don't know anything about this and yet he's still off the show because bad press is bad press that's wild that's now that's all alleged it may come out that there's more to it it may come out that that he's really a creep but just from what I know from what he has said and from what read he's going what the actual [ __ ] one just really doubles down on why just in this day and age I just wouldn't want to be famous you know I still want to be famous so they're saying in yeah it is in here I guess Jenna Orga was on armchair expert that Dak sheeper show

that I can't listen to now because it's only on Spotify um oh you don't want to listen to Dex Shepherd mate well they for some reason if you want guest I use Spotify I just won listen on yeah no neither would I really good guests and him just talking over the top of them yeah sure listen to D she I can't you justad Dan Ricardo was on there and you [ __ ] hate Danny Ricardo I did not listen to that one but I'll be happy for DX sheeper no I like Daniel Ricardo more than I like ax Shepard I'm going to put that out on the record okay all right good well apparently her appearance on arj Expert was controversial because she spoke highly of him which just seems a bit ridiculous especially if this girl has denied it I don't I haven't I mean I guess we don't no I

don't know is there I can we see the Tweet like let's see seems pretty definitive doesn't it like if she says it didn't happen it didn't [ __ ] happen if the only person who says a thing happened is some third party that neither of the people know I think we could probably ignore that yeah there is one I've got his I've got his tweet but I I don't have hers so I'll just quickly read this and we can see if we can find so hi everyone there's something I need to clarify this is this is the actor that's been accused earlier this year someone I've never met started a campaign of misinformation about me online because of this my family has been doxed and my friends have received death threats underage photos of me were used

and examples of me acting in character was presented as hateful my friend Jane was falsely portrayed as the victim and her attempts to set the record straight have been ignored she gave me permission to include her in this message the rumors are false I can't accept the Betrayal of me as someone bigoted or criminally negligent for people's safety oh that was something apparently he was just being a fuckl at some party um baseless harmful claims very distressing thankful for the people who stood by me yeah so as far as generala knows someone's just thing is about even with the the response that people doing even if the the allegations were even true for them to go out and Duck's family death threats to friends how is that an

acceptable response to people yeah that's right yeah exactly also how long ago is it supposed to have happened like again if he did something horrible oh yeah that doesn't matter so much but it doesn't sound I mean well he's only 21 so it would have been recent what is he accused of doing just trying to get some girl to have sex with him uh being well no they apparently they did have sex but this third party that didn't happen though yes he's saying he's saying they had sex but he's he's not saying well he's not saying either way but evidently it was just that he pressured her the user claimed yeah so the user claimed in a series of since deleted tweets that white would allegely give drugs to underage girls at parties in Toronto and would assault them or pressure them into

sex drug yes this sounds like I mean and this could all this could all just be something that we go okay some some [ __ ] was making up stories but now they've deleted and it's over but he's been fired from the show he is not in season 2 yeah I mean even if there is something there this seems very like wishy-washy like yeah but I guess Netflix right this must just be Netflix I guess they just don't want the bad press yeah no wonder if Jonathan Mages has ruined the benefit of the doubt for everybody yeah but the thing is hasn't Jonathan Maes is hasn't hasn't that all just been cleared up now or is that still going no he's going to court he's

[ __ ] Marvel's had this there was an article uh in variety the other week talking about how Marvel been scrambling around trying to figure out what to do because they can't put him in anything and so they've got all these they've got all these movies that he was supposed to be the [ __ ] main villain in and there was talk about how they were going to Pivot and make Dr Doom the new villain somehow like trying we got to do something and then there were also they were desperately talking about trying to get Robert Danny Jr Chris Hemsworth Chris Evans back to do like a flashback movie or something cuz they're like we just [ __ ] have to do something right worked out what they need to do with the Marvel Universe stop [ __ ] making the movies stop and start again but here's

the thing right you you got to end game yeah that the end of that story go back to IR has the word end in it yeah and now go back and just start again from some other way but you wouldn't watch Iron Man 4 stand alone doesn't have anything to do with Avengers just Iron Man to reboot directed by John fa J I am going with like brand new characters and just re just oh they got plenty they got plenty yeah but they're they're not I mean like go back to Iron Man C like don't do the Next Generation type of thing I'm hanging over the shield well yeah so speaking of which a movie came out last week called the Marvels I didn't even know about this movie I didn't know they were making it I didn't know it was released I knew about I nearly thought about seeing it

it is the third worst ranked movie according to Metacritic out of the whole Marvel Cannon above only the Ant-Man that came out that none of us saw cuz why would you bother and the eternals which we saw and hated and never to watch more I will say this the the Marvels has the unfortunate like job of being the movie that that is out now after all you know everything that's happened in the past you know 12 months cuz when was the last Marvel movie uh was it Doctor Strange I think it was Doctor Strange oh Guardians after that oh yeah guardians Guardians three still haven't seen carians but it's got remember there was all that [ __ ] about Bri lasson when the um Bri lasson is that the right yes name right y yeah um

you know when the first one came out everyone like people don't like her I guess why don't they like her she because I don't know people say it's sexist I think for some reason people latched onto the fact that she's not not like people just don't like her personality I guess people she was boring character but it was hardly her fault people were super down on Brie Lon like I don't know any well I mean watch Scott Pilgrim she's great in that watch the room she's great in that that has no bearing on whether the movie's good or not whether she likes to be interviewed like watch lons in chemistry doesn't like being interviewed oh yeah I do want to watch that actually but it's got her it's got um the the girl from um M Marvel M Marvel I guess I never

watched that I didn't mind that actually and it's the girl who was in the first Captain Marvel who got the powers later in um the fighter pilot yeah friend right yes in the show what's the show with um Scarlet Witch and vision Vision Wonder Vision Wonder Vision so I mean it's all a bit convoluted and you've got these characters that like I don't think anyone gives a [ __ ] about them that's I think that's the problem is no one knows or cares who these characters are absolutely I mean wasn't what what what was the one with Miss Marvel not with Captain Marvel was it just called Captain Marvel yeah it had was a fine movie yeah it was it was okay it was the '90s one right it was good so that was fine she wore theen shirt yeah she had the N9 inch nail shirt and then she had um

uh what's the Ben Mendelson as that [ __ ] yeah I'm an I'm an Australian I'm an uster alien yeah yeah but when she was doing press for that people were like no I don't like B L for some reason wow I mean I don't know whatever I mean this whatever I mean I'm sure there's a whole big population of people saying it's because there's only women in it in this one yeah oh yeah that'll definitely be a thing that's definitely 100% a thing as well but I don't know so yeah it's got terrible reviews but the question is did any of did all those people actually go and see it or is this just a result of people look I will go and see it this week and I pretty since AME people are like it's almost you

know that's hardly where yes and no because I don't like any of the movies since end game I I think they're all really flogging a dead horse now and that's what I'm saying like they should have just ended there I mean Thor because they're going off in space and doing something totally different I I will Reserve judgment for uh Guardians because I haven't seen it I saw a review Tao White's new film so he's not doing anymore th and I saw a review of his new next goal wins the soccer one oh yeah and it said he's got he he generally either makes quite good movies or quite bad movies this is his worst oh I was like oh all right he's still working on his Star Wars movie oh you know who's not working on a Star Wars movie Kevin feige he out I saw

that yeah it which one was his I don't remember it's the Kevin figy one I think that's yeah I think yeah Kevin kigy Star Wars no no no they were there was some has he ever directed anything or was this going to be his first thing because that's a pretty [ __ ] epic first film oh I mean yeah even George his first film wasn't Star Wars like I think he would have done he's probably done some of the TV shows I'm guessing probably directed some of them I'm going to guess which with how big they are they're basically movies now yeah because I mean he's on set a lot presumably but it's like does he know how to direct a movie yeah I mean there's a janitor on set it's not like they've gone well you've been the

janitor on so many movies now he's doing a Star Wars movie too Dan it is very easy to be Johns you hold up a sign it says faster and more intense and you done yeah yeah well I was in the Philippines directing some TV show once and this little girl actress said to me once it was her first show that she was on and um at like on the last day she goes oh oh I know what a director does they say action and cut like well yeah I guess I mean that is true yeah yeah I'm like it's my fault if this is not very good until you get famous and then you just kind of wave your hand and somebody else does it for you yeah that's right just when you yeah yeah they learn to look at your expression and call it yeah he looks unhappy cut

yeah um speaking of TV I won't go into it because I I did already tell you guys this off blind bodies on Netflix it's amazing I got two episodes to go um if dark the Netflix show dark was about a murder in White Chapel oh then that's what bodies is interesting all right multiple times it was already on my list I'll bump it to the top the funny thing was I looked at it and decided not to watch it and then my brother was like you got to watch this and I was like okay I'll give it a I'll give it a second look I feel like a lot of stuff came out in the last couple of weeks because I watched uh I watched a Netflix movie this week watch very good I watched the Killer is David Finch ah yes

yes uh it's good it's good yeah okay yeah actually I didn't realize that was a Netflix movie yeah I was going to go see it to the movies I was like oh I'll go sit down and watch a fure film in the movies for sure they brought it to you like oh let just [ __ ] watch it yeah yeah it's good no best film but it's good it's interesting in that cuz Trent what is his best film what is Finch's best film that's a good question uh I don't know he makes good movies K Dragon Tattoo is very good but I haven't seen it in a I do like that there's a consistent quality across all of his films yeah I still think fight club's good I know people I think fight club's great I think think Seven's great I'd say Panic Room I forgot yeah I was going

to sit room I was sayin is not my either but not because it's not good it's just not really my favorite he's just good uh actually there's uh aliens 3 see I like aliens three so do I he doesn't so no does not I think he would probably say that actually he would just say I didn't direct that movie thank you very much yeah I just worked on it for a couple of days yeah um so so Trent res and adus Ross did the soundtrack for for the Killer and you might you might know them from Teenage Ninja Turtles yeah yeah so confused by that but I know man that looks like a good one I'm gonna watch that anyone who knows I [ __ ] love TR resar I've got ass signed record on the wall up there [ __ ] love him this soundtrack is like

you know when they say like a soundtrack shouldn't really be noticeable it's [ __ ] not and when it finished and I was like I don't remember any of the music and they're up for an award for it and at first I was like oh really but then I guess like cuz I was thinking how there wasn't like a memorable theme or anything you know that kind of thing but then it's like well maybe that's why the movie was good like maybe I just need to reconsider what it did for the movie you know what I mean since oh you haven't listen to it yeah and it's very like ambient and minimalist and kind of electronic and it's it's almost like under it's just underscore the whole time there's no like which they didn't do anyway but if you like if something like social

network or girl with a dragon tattoo has a very memorable score I would say but the music from those is is quite you notice it you go oh that sounds cool whereas in this I don't remember where there was music so anyway was just well we do have some we do have some followup news for something we might get to watch on the streaming so soon okay so remember last week we were talking about coyot coyote versus Acme that was sh by Warner Brothers going to be a tax right off evidently because people were complaining going and even we were saying we would have watched that knew I knew it they're now they're not going to distribute it themselves they're not going to put on Max or anything well they haven't written it off yet I because I don't think they can

sell it if they written it off I think they think they I think they planning to but I think they were planning to but remember you don't do taxes in America till April sure so I think the plan was there but hav submitted it so it's dirty though because I mean the The Story Goes they told the filmmakers this is done it's gone say goodbye like there's nothing that can be done about this which I still now who the [ __ ] going to trust them now a bunch of apparently all their meetings with directors and and filmmakers they're all canceling them because they're like but I honestly don't understand how you can do this as a tax R off like you filmed it you've finished it like special effects are done like you done test screening it's

done good how do you need turn around and go no it's just tax right off now like it's an article I put in as a congressman um who said we need to look into this because if the fact that they are taking what is a completed film and just writing it off for tax purposes is not something they should be allowed to do it's disturbing that they been doing this for for a little while now yeah need to look into that well good because yeah I don't understand how how that really works like it's you're not that's not something you should be able to do right that's not how the system's supposed to work isn't it meant to be like something goes wrong and you can't release so you couldn't finish it because of a reason and if you don't think I think if you don't reasonably

think you can make the money back you spent on it right I think isn't that would be I think but I mean Reon making any money is better than nothing the way I look it I mean this one it seems like they can't they couldn't prove that they've got this isn't some indie movie about like a new story this is about [ __ ] Road Runner a very known character [ __ ] written oh co-written and produced by James gun this is not yeah not some little not the sound of Freedom they can just sweep it under the rug I've got that on my list here and I I keep but I don't want to watch it that's the problem and I know see the thing is I'm going to be fine but I don't care but here's the thing is I I'd be watching it trying to find all these

hidden messages and stuff in it that just aren't going to be they're not there no no no because even apparently I I've listened to some more podcast talking about this week even the filmmaker oh not the filmaker sorry the guy it's based on has said oh I don't buy into all that stuff that cel's talking about with the right the Hollywood pedos and all that kind of stuff no no I just I just went and tried to rescue a bunch of kids from sex traffic South America and the movie is about what I did yeah that's all I me with the crazies yeah like that that woman who's complaining it's conspiracy theory that because the theater had air conditioning problems and refunding the ticket it's all conspiracy that they're not allowed to watch it cuz there's one

thing theaters hate is [ __ ] making money selling to people it's people watching the whole movie and not asking for their money back makes no sense like if they were going to bury it it just wouldn't be released at all they're not going to they would have said go yeah sure go sell it somewhere yeah go for it they would have said no no it'll be a tax ride off tax ride off anyway yeah so coyote versus Zach me is for sale yeah right and it looks like how much do they want for it we could buy it we could distribute it on this YouTube channel that's right yeah look from what I've seen they're like shipping around to like Netflix and Apple so it looks like it'll go straight to streaming which I'm happy for I think I watch movies now it sounds

excellent I'll watch it for sure yep I think honestly if you're a streaming service this is a pretty safe bet now y snap it up because people will watch this for sure and if they weren't going to before it might now exactly it already sounds like it was already pretty good now it's an instant success yeah and you know what you can say the movie they didn't want you to see jimel can go [ __ ] nuts on this you know what else those PS don't want you to watch coyotes yeah real Forte John Cena John CA John Cena John John Cena I can't pronounce his name still don't worry about it I like him I don't mind him now I think he's replacing the rock for me now I don't favorite actor I didn't like him before or just as your favorite wrestler who

now is in movies as my favorite wrestler who now in movies I think he's replaced the rock now H what about Andre the Giant he's dead what about Hulk Hogan Hollywood Hulk no when I was sick I got into like watching a lot of YouTube evidently Hulk Hogan's a bit of say he came and visited you in the hospital everybody else did HW is a bit of a dick what I've read is that right yeah like he a lot of the stories that he would he would like VTO story lines in wrestling and it was all about him and yeah a lot of the other wrestlers weren't happy about it but really if you look at wrestling in the 80s it was Hulk Hogan that's that's the wrestler we he pretty much I was about to say he had he probably had the clout to push back on that at the time maybe not now terrible babysitter though I saw

a documentary where he had babysit for this Suburban family and that went [ __ ] terribly but yeah if he didn't like you your career went nowhere right I was more of a Ricky the steamboat Dragon fan at in that era so Ultimate Warrior never watched wrestling actually NE no I didn't either but there was Piper look yeah but like that's the thing like I knew of wrestling and I knew wrestlers but never watched it cuz it really wasn't that big here in Australia no not really no I wasn't really I remember I remember at school they had a of all the wrestlers because I knew who Andre the Giant was from The Princess Bride oh he's a wrestler like you op them but never really saw any of it the toys were pretty big in the 80s I

remember because you used to be able to get like Hulk Hogan as like a Big Stretch Armstrong type robber dude I remember those I don't remember yeah I just never saw I certainly watch more of those toys than I did real wrestling except that there was one summer where Bill really got into it and I was going to Bill's house a lot and so I just saw a lot of wrestling that those school holidays chunk used to be into wrestling a lot as well Chun yeah so chunk was always all always there too yeah that makes sense yeah yeah and then they moved on to the UFC and not UFC as it is now but UFC before when mixed martial arts used to just be like like a boxer versus a [ __ ] Kung Fu guy and it was like let's find out which of these actually [ __ ] works yeah yeah and the

answer was always always just who's the biggest and strongest yeah I used to like it doesn't matter how good you are at karate if you're fighting a huge black boxer you will get punched in the [ __ ] Brazilian jiu-jitsu guy gets you on the ground ties you in a [ __ ] knot that's right he's not going to be able to kick him that's why MMA now is just a conglomerate of yeah they they've found which are the most effective smos them together but I remember people used to say oh this is illegal and you can't watch this while they're selling the vhs's in the middle of the plaza but it's illegal and you can't get it yeah well I mean they were selling them off a table they weren't selling them out of a real shop yeah but pretty sure it wasn't illegal when you just s it I bought I

bought so many horror movies on VHS from those tables in the plaza yeah I think that's where I got all my copies of all the Evil Dead movies yeah yeah nightmare nightmare before Christmas Nightmare on Street or yeah all sorts of St have you seen there's actually been a Resurgence in DVD sales lately DVD and Blu-rays cuz people what I was reading a few articles about is people starting getting annoyed with streaming services like they want to watch something but it's not there so people so DVD there's people starting to buy it so they will yeah LIC today this is not the same thing exactly I got an email today from Google uh from the Google news right apparently you used to be able to buy magazines on Google news magazine subscriptions yeah

I got an email today that said just FYI we're shutting that down so in December you will lose all your stuff FYI by and I was like [ __ ] man I don't know about buying this digital stuff anymore it was something about it too so we've got a we got a vinyl record player right and my daughter's obsessed with it because I mean she can she knows she can ask [ __ ] Google to start just playing music and the house plays it but she doesn't care about that she wants to get the record out put the needle on and stuff like it's very tactile right um but my niece who's just about to turn 13 right um she loves Taylor Swift as all 13y old oh she's a swift same too she's a yeah yeah is is that what they call Swift there's swifties yep fair enough

she's a Swifty um 50s inh island is of course there is yeah drive past our house last time we were there do you know do you know what fans that doesn't sound creepy do you that's right do you know what fans of are called you know what they call themselves no cumber [ __ ] that's [ __ ] and I only know this because I was on set once with an actress and and and and and I they said um I was ordering a coffee and she goes do you take it black with Two Sugars and I go no I just have a latte with no sugar and she goes a um Benedict Cumberbatch has with Two Sugars that's how he has it and I was like okay how do you know that and she goes and she goes oh I'm become a

[ __ ] that's great but anyway so Swifty um wants uh my sister was like I'm thinking of she she wants to collect stuff right but there's nothing to collect anymore like if you've got Spotify well actually not Spotify cuz she's not on Spotify but whatever she's [ __ ] on right like you can't just have stuff anymore right so yeah so my I mean they still release stuff so my my sisters cuz I said to her said why don't you just get her a retro CD player and get her all the get her all the albums on CD so she can have them up on her wall or whatever and and it feels like you're a real fan because you got all the stuff yeah because we have a vinyl collection um but I mean it's not that

often at the moment just with you know we have time to just kind of sit down and put a record on necessarily yeah you know what I think exist anymore secret tracks remember when you used to buy it like an album and you you keep playing and then You' have that just on Spotify 15 minutes of dead air and then there'd be a secret track you buy new album you get excited to see is there one is that a thing anymore do they do that the X Files soundtrack on on the back in it said um don't forget zero is a number so if you were at track one and pressed back there was a secret track V that's good yeah that was very cool the uh I remember the the nin album fixed actually I think sorry broken and I

think fixed as well had 99 tracks yes so it had like the I think the four or five up to to gave up or whatever was the fifth one and then two more 98 and 99 yeah yeah because I used this was also the ero where I used to put music on when I was going to sleep and so like the record would the CD would end and you'd be asleep and then like 20 minutes later that was um the corn album Life is Peachy secret track on that is uh AR capella version I'm doing quotes of twist yeah so that'll wake you up if there's one thing about corn that I wouldn't have just on its own it's Jonathan davies's [Laughter] voice I think his voice fits very

maybe I'm soed to it his is it's just so nostalgic even the new album I listen to the new stuff and it just like it's sounds like corn I love it makes me how many the original musicians are there still probably him I think it's only Phil's on Hiatus um which one became a born again Christian and decided that that was evil Brian but he's back now he's back is he yeah yeah he still is a Christian apparently but he's back yeah yeah and you can go when he became a Muslim and decided oh that's right Allah doesn't allow me to play music and then he found a lole in the Quran and he was like oh [ __ ] it I'll release some more albums it'll be fine yeah because you can go see they still play over in America don't they and you

can see like pretty cheap K I've seen K I think I've seen K three or four times since we moved yeah yeah really whereas he zie too Al I saw Rob Zombie a bunch of times for some reason Rob Zombie was just out in Australia a bunch before we moved saw him like three or four times and then but yeah I've seen Corner Bunch also concerts are [ __ ] nice and cheap here too yeah and they do more so they're smaller right because they'll do every city yeah where he tickets start at now like 250 yeah and there's only five cities in Australia that have stadiums in them so you have to go to see one of them they don't that you know um I've been playing a game this week and I finished it I mentioned it to you guys already um but I thought yeah so turns out I've had this on Gog for

two years and I've not played it you should uh have you started it yet or no no never never put it on not sure I even downloaded it this is Return of the obra den uh it's an indie game it's by the guy who made papers please which is another excellent game that you should check out if you haven't already it is a um I guess I don't know what you call the graphical style it's it's like two basically there two it's a 3D game but it's only in two color and you can choose if they had 3D on the Apple 2 it would have looked like yeah when you go into the options menu you can choose the color palette and they're all it's like Macintosh Apple two oh really yeah so there's like a like a light blue dark blue Comer looking one he wasn't going to play it until you said that now he's

in no it's good and the premise is so it's a 3D game game but it's not an action game actually the reviews for it are quite funny on Steam I had to look afterwards so it's uh you you are an insurance sucessor and uh it's said in 1906 or seven or something like that anyway the oberin was a ship that left England disappeared for I forget how long anyway it just turns up one day and uh did you just turn on your Xbox maybe sorry I'm boring you [ __ ] just oh I'm buying it right now 30 bucks on switch is I've noticed is it worth 30 bucks to toe play it on a preferred platform if I've already bought it on I think PC yeah I mean it's it's not a long game but is very good I

I really enjoyed it we can go you get sent to assess you're an insurance assessor you get sent to basically figure out what happened so the ships come back yeah just it just like just floats into Harbor everyone on on board dead yes well when what so when you get on there right you've been given you've been given some stuff by by the person who hired you you've got a book that has a like a map and a list of the crew and and various other things and you've been given a a compass with a skull on it and you basically when you first get on the ship there's only one body visible you go over you use the compass the compass shows you allows you to walk around in a freeze frame of that person's last moment oh so you can see how they died that reminds me of the What's the

frog frog froggy froggy mcf frog the Sherlock Holmes and the sink do that y yeah so when you do that it will then reveal the location of the next body I'm simplifying there's a little more to it than that but basically from there and So eventually as you've uncovered all of the bodies you have everything you need to fill in the book to say who is this person how did they die and if it if that's a factor who or what killed them like they died yeah but they were shot by whom they were you know whatever this is this sounds very good um and I think it's funny though that this Dev was like okay I've made a movie about stamping people's past what what what's what's

just as exciting as that Maritime insurance but it's very cool it's got like it is it's like you know Supernatural stuff obviously from the pocket watch but more than that to other sorry the compass and uh and it's quite difficult in Parts um I didn't have to cheat or anything which is nice I did do I think it's it's a valid technique is just to like when you think you've got two of them correct you can and and all but the name of one you can kind of just pick names because what happens is if you get if you get three correct it will tell you a message pops up says three Fates correct and then it will like inscribe them in the book permanently and then you know who those people are and that helps you deduce other things because

you go I know who that is and he killed him so now I can fill the B about who killed him and that kind of stuff got it yeah yeah it's good and something else say oh the reviews right so I went on Steam afterwards I was like what do people think of this game because I really liked it it's overwhelmingly positive but just for fun I flick to the negative reviews people saying saying oh if you like walking around looking at Clues and trying to solve like like an actual real life detective not a video game you to actually do work this might be for you and then someone said I'm not going to I'm not lying to you at one point I had to match put someone's name by the color of their socks like you know in one memory versus another and I was like yeah it's [ __ ] awesome I love it when

bad reviews make you want to see the movie I there that can to come or or game but in my case two movies come up remember they did that fourth rainbow movie in like 20 2009 somewhere like that just rainbow wasn't it or yeah so there was yeah maybe but there was a um a review that that just said um don't see this there's no story it's literally just wall to wall action I'm like literally wall to wall action is not a bad review of a rainbow movie I'm getting this yeah and the other one was Drive which wasn't even on my radar but I [ __ ] love driveing yeah before I'd seen it yeah before I'd seen it somebody was like put a review online that said I went to see this thinking that I was going to see something adjacent to Fast and the Furious but I actually saw this

like dark existential drama about one man's Quest against the I'm like okay well this sounds [ __ ] great the way you're describing it um I have now installed Return of the over good and I also have a walk through here ready to go [ __ ] I'm ready I you can still enjoy the game with a walk through I'm sorry yeah well I don't see I'll be interested to hear if you do just because I feel like the the the solving of the puzzles is the game I don't have time for that there's not a lot to it other than that the mechanics itself all kind of just enable you try and I'll try and play it first sure okay but yes it's very good I listened to last week's show

expecting to hear a conversation about the steam deck was that Offline that we chatted about the steam deck last week no maybe an Afterparty was it no I listened to the Afterparty as well maybe we had stopped recording no we talked we talking about yeah we're online talking about yeah that was part of the podcast okay maybe I didn't listen to all of it we'll talking Neo I've not been able to think about anything else since just keep thinking about the [ __ ] steam deck how much I want one yeah and I keep thinking about it because two reasons number one I never play the Xbox anymore I never ever play the Xbox and I don't play games on PC because my PC is garbage okay right I only play on the switch and anytime a

new game comes out the one I play my first question is is it on the switch which is almost always no and I'm sure is it on Steam deck has yes as the answer maybe go and have a look can go about what games yeah know I have what really would like to do is actually get my hands on one and and and and play it but you can't because they're not actually available I me I like to have one too Dan it's just to have one one yeah yeah they're not available you're listening to the show what we'd really like is just to have steam decks win yes that's right three three steam decks MH um yeah you so you can get them in Australia you can you can there's no to get them repaired if you no so if anything goes wrong you're a bit screwed but they you get them through

like C and stuff like 1,500 bucks and yeah you can you can get the 64 gig one from Amazon for 800 which I think is pretty good because you can always top up your your hard dis space with a memory card that sounds like a lot to me but that's I mean yeah well also I don't play multiple games at once I'm more than happy to just have them in the library not downloaded onto the device so yeah right install them as you're going to play them yeah yeah and then yeah uninstall when you finished that doesn't bother me 64 gig is not enough I mean it wouldn't yeah I mean tell you right now it is not I don't think you'd fit bers Gate 3 on it just yeah yeah I was about to say like the the the Xbox has a terabyte right and I'm constantly having to delete games 64

gig is nowhere near enough for some games I think if you buy the 64 gig one there assuming you're also putting in a an SD card to yeah to have more room and you just couldn't you just couldn't afford to buy the you'd have to pay the extra $300 to get the next one up yeah you be better off get also because because they've announced the OLED one people are selling their their current ones um not for cheap they're essentially selling them for you know but I could get a terabyte one for the price of a new G I'd get a terab one I'm thinking about it i' have to sell my switch and my Xbox to get it it's risky so it be a big commit now if it wasn't for the fact if it yeah exactly all the games I've already

purchased and gone never be able to play it again that's right so unless I bought a new one right it just be switch then you have two you have a switch each don't you we do have two switches well I've got this olded switch and has the switch light sell hers okay sell Charlie yeah just sell sell her mate look I'm happy I got a good you've got a switch a steam deck look I'm happy I got my really good tax turn a couple years ago and I got an AO Neo next but I did because I'm now starting to use that a lot more and I think it's got a bit more freedom than a steam deck because it just runs Windows yeah but I'm not fussed about doing anything but gaming on this right I mean it can play more than a

steam deck yeah sure sure oh me steam's steam's plan is to get everything on Steam to work on these eventually I mean I mean they're doing a good job of it some games I think even like Dune spice Wars I think the problem is that it's like hard to control without Mouse and or and keyboard I think that's the biggest issue games like yeah so for that if you're actually going to play that you're better off just to plug it in and use that as a PC can a keyboard yeah would I would I tried playing that with the controller and it's just n yeah I'm sure it's probably it's not design yeah it just came back on the game pass again I saw a video of how you play Boulders gate on the PlayStation it blew my [ __ ] mind I I don't understand it I'm sure if I played it it would but

because or just because you're used to keyboard and mouse got a keyboard and a mouse and I'm I'm playing it I'm pushing buttons and you know whatnot and I saw you have this radial system to control the Spells and and and I was just like what the [ __ ] is that like just you know because I it surprised me because I wasn't expecting to see it and then someone was like oh cast a spell and it like pulled up this menu and went here and this and I was like right all right pretty cool so I guess you get to do that on the Xbox in DEC Luke they said coming out this year Gate 3 Xbox December December and you can plug in mouse and keyboard and Away you go oh you can it's cool mhm I'll finally get the [ __ ] a

bear that's right or the bear will and then play [Laughter] Boulders that's a real good game I can't wait to play it I really can't but I'm going to finish Alan Wake first and then I'll return to turn then I've also got power watch simulator to play least more DLC for that forget all that [ __ ] and forget forget the steam deck forget all that you've got to turn the Xbox on the great the best the game of the year came out today Bluey oh it did is that out now is it Swit it's on switch to actually if you want I did see that and I I I honestly I can't justify the price for it I'm going to wait for it to go on sale how was it full price is it 60 it's 40 oh 40 here I so I I haven't played it

yet I we got it um so Jenna could play it with lra today and they were playing it and I I haven't looked into this too much but I did say to her earlier on I said as an adult would you play it or is it just a kid game and she was like ah I don't I don't know I didn't lra was just clicking just masing it yeah right okay interesting yeah I'll check it out I'll check it out um speaking of kids things um I encountered something strange recently so people have been telling me Oh if you like blue your daughter will love Peppa Pig right I was like people been telling me the opposite don't let her watch that [ __ ] okay so here's the thing same thing right so I I popped it on right and was watching it and I was like this is garbage this

is [ __ ] garbage and and and other than the fact that it's about a family of animals living their lives dayto day it's nothing to do with [ __ ] blue it's not even in the same thing right not the same country yeah that's right but then but half of like whatever so it's on it's on right and I saw a bit more and occasionally I would kind of hear something be like oh that's pretty funny and then the more I watched I'm like actually this is this is actually quite good have I just misjudged this right and then as I watched more of it and I got to know it some episodes and we're watching all of these on YouTube because it's just episode after episode on YouTube right sometimes I'll be like this doesn't seem right these characters are acting

differently and then as I got to know it more I was like that's not even the right voice for that character what is going on so I went online there is third party Peppa Pig episodes what that's what you've been watching that are official in the sense that they are officially licensed they're not pirate okay so it's not a ripoff of someone just it's not a ripoff basically if you wanted to make your own Peppa Pig shows you can go to Peppa Pig Inc and say I want to make some and pay the money and then make your own and they've copied it's a very rudimentary art style so they can copy that and it looks perfect but of course you don't have their voice actors you don't have their sure musician to do the score you know sorry who do I email

there but that's why so when you watch the actual show Peppa Pig it is very well written very well performed the characters are very good it makes me laugh out loud quite often but just make sure you're watching the actual official [ __ ] Peppa Pig I've played the Peppa Pig game okay if Peppa Pig's giving you a Bitcoin address and telling you to transfer money it might not be an official episode I'll tell you right now you do not need a walkr for the Peppa Pig game okay fair yeah but how often does that happen like yeah imagine that imagine there was just like oh I'm watching I'm watching a Buffy the Vampire slay but it's not Sarah Michelle gell like it's someone else some guy in a wig no that's just double yeah but it's got the real yeah

that's right but it's got the actual theme and it's the got the you know like it's it's not a ripoff it's an official other other footage of Anthony head responding to things like yeah yeah um on on kids show still we watch lra watches a bunch of different stuff she watches um puppy dog Pals she watches uh pup struction which is on Disney plus Paul Patrol no not Paw Patrol it's not Paw Patrol is great Paw Patrol is so is it uh she watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and a few other things go Donald and then yes she loves Donald actually um yeah Hara loves Donald as well what is Donald great all kids all kids and Luke

Donald um so we noticed I think it was just the first one it might have been the puppy dog Pal's theme song um I noticed lra wanted to listen to it car and I noticed it was by Rob Cantor who you will know oh from actual cannibal shy lauff and Christian B's at your party M right and I was like oh [ __ ] and I said to Jenna you know Rob canel did the pupp and she was oh [ __ ] that's weird like good on him anyway she texted me c days got make a living and she said guess who did the [ __ ] music for for pop struction Mickey Mouse Clubhouse all these shows she watches [ __ ] rob canall wow so so that's his day job he just does shff acual cannibal on the weekends yeah that like blew my mind like I mean that's why the songs are so catchy

because we always the pop struction theme song is [ __ ] catchy as hell we're always singing it like which one whoa obstruction whoa whoa It's Time to build obstruction yeah I've I've never even heard of this show no first time I've heard of it it's on Disney Plus or Hulu I guess we don't watch much Disney plus actually H they're smush the oh no wait you don't have Hulu it's the other way around yeah Disney plus we only got Disney plus they're smushing them together here too next year someone's buying Hulu though right Hulu's up I think Disney bought oh Disney already bought that's why we've got everything on the one Speaking uh welcome to reom season two wrapped up the other day pretty good probably didn't watch season one don't like soccer watch it's not really about

soccer though is it it isn't it isn't it's it's pretty good I remember watching the first couple episodes where they're like talking about like how stressful it was like because they have to vote on it and the town has to vote on whether we're going to let these celebrities buy it and because they've been burnt before and yeah it's interesting because you get to know the people in the stories and the town and just these people in this town [ __ ] love this team and this game and they get so emotional it just kind of gets it's like interesting even if you don't care about it it's just interesting to see just how much these people [ __ ] care about this thing yeah pretty cool and then they're
