Trinity: Apple M3 Chips, Dungeons & Dragons Movie & Wednesday

we are all back and I'm not a liar this week we have Dan with us finally welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy we've missed you than for having me back guys yeah I mean for the listeners who don't know my mysterious disappearance 2 weeks my wife was in Canada getting Co and I had to look after bringing it back home for two weeks of me having that Co and um not being able to do much of anything really CO's awful I've now finally found out what the fuss is about with [ __ ]

sucks yeah people genuinely were concerned we got people wrote in and people actually people verbally ask me is D all right yeah wasn't all right but I am all right now um people keep saying like oh is this the first time you've got Co and I'm like don't say first only this is the only time I've got it all right be more it's not going to work like that unfortunately is other of you had it multiple times now see I thought I thought I must have had it by now until I finally finally got it and I was like no I have not had this I would i' [ __ ] remember if I had this yeah and I'm better now except the cough is still here I think that's just going to be with me for a while took me a month yeah some people hangs around full months

that cough just doesn't go away it's awful aw I've only had it the once but it looked me around but I was also recovering from surgery so sure and look the three of us we're not I mean Matt you know you do your weekly trivia but other than that we're not particularly social people that we don't do a lot of a lot of a lot of mixing and so I think that's why we've avoided having it too often I'm I'm in this chair 90% of my life yeah me too yeah same I I love it when you said I I think it was on a podcast or might have been offline but just how you don't really want to do music at the moment because it is just also sitting in that chair and so you just you need to find another hobby that gets it out of that room we've got or buy a new chair there's

some sort of related news to that in the in the in the in the spreadsheet this week I'm making a change that will hopefully um I did see a basketball hoop got put up at your house Matt so is that the is that the that's always been yeah no I'm not going to be working out there in the basketball hoop what are you I was I thought maybe that was your hobby I wasn't implying that you were going to I know it's it's just a a bad joke on my part to be honest that um well what are you doing then I'm I'm going to replace my Mac Studio with a laptop so that I don't have to be in here or yeah right yeah you still will be though y cuz yeah you're going to want your mouse you're going to want yeah I I've got a laptop for that I've

got a Macbook for that same reason and it just stays plugged in we'll see we'll see uh they've announced the new stuff the new Apple stuff the sexy new stuff pretty tasty and though the chips look [ __ ] sick and then they've got that space black color that I was like space black is very nice put a bunch of ports back into it I've noticed that they had previously taken out the their laptops are really good right now so I think it's a good time to get in before they put some shitty keyboard in them again or something stupid is this the first time they've gone back to having different colors for a while or they've they've had um silver and space gray which is like so this space gray it's like just a little bit darker have too

um and um that's a work one so that's why if you're wondering why the [ __ ] is he buying another one that's that's technically not mine um um but the the new black one is the first time they've had a black MacBook Pro since like the '90s cuz I remember the the last black MacBook Pro was the enormous one right yeah plastic it was made out of plastic yeah there was that era where remember the MacBooks were just gorgeous the white one and the black one oh yeah I had one of those that were plastic but they were really like mt fish were yeah they were they were that was they were good laptops they were mywi had the white one yes yeah comparatively the new ones they're [ __ ] ridiculous so yeah so you going to get

one of the new ones is that is that your plan yes I'm going to I'm actually going to trade my studio my my Mac Studio in which is what I'm recording this on right now and uh yeah get an M3 M3 probably just a pro I don't think I need the max like it's a it's a nice want but yeah would you actually use all of it like I mean this is I mean we we get pretty nerdy on this if you want to they have like kind of nerfed the pro chip a little bit this time because the new Mac chips you it's Apple silicon right it's completely custom it's nothing not like a PC chip or anything like now they build the whole thing themselves it's all custom that's why it's really fast for their [ __ ] um the pro previously in

the M1 and M2 was really close to the max right it was a little bit slower this time they've kind of like widen that Gap it's what they used to do to get you to consider the the higher version but I think not enough people were like going up to the max so they were like a so so the the pro this time instead of I think the old one had like eight uh performance CES and four efficiency CES right and correct me if I'm wrong or don't I'll look it up please don't M's not trying to be encyclopedic on this now it's six and instead of eight and four so they've kind of edged off the performance cor so so for those who don't know they have like performance CES which are like really really really you know hardcore powerful cores and then efficiency cores

which kind of like do more mundane tasks kind of thing that's how the architecture is pretty neat it like shoves things in the core that most suits the the usage but anyway a big price difference between them um and it's it's it's complicated too there is and it's all tied to cuz they're all like they're not like a PC where it's all different components it's literally they print the whole [ __ ] thing at once GPU CPU and um I think the ram is part of it as well I could be wrong on that but because of that the configurations are pretty locked in so if you want you get 36 gig of RAM which is an odd number if you want more than that you have to change the CPU because

you actually have to have the way it works is they they determine what kind of chip It Is by which bits of the board came out [ __ ] so like if it comes out and it goes a that bit of it doesn't work that's a pro and we'll just chop that off oh or and that's that's a simplified explanation for it no no I'm going with that that that's fine by me yeah that's why if you look at the screenshots the max is like twice the size of everything else cuz it's literally that's one that came out and it's if you get one everything works on it if not everything works they go okay the keyboard doesn't work on this one what do we call that oh we call that the we'll call that the iPad all right okay that's an iPad exactly well the thing is I mean Mac has or apple have have done enough

market research over the years to know that Apple users don't necessarily want to customize you know they they'll they'll customize that purchase but they won't try to upgrade down the track like PC us as will so you they'll throw it in the [ __ ] bin buy a new one buy a brand new one they've made the tradeoff because because they've done that it is you get 22 hours of battery life on these [ __ ] right which is ridiculous like but it's so tightly integrated that's that's why and then same with the yeah dis space too if you want I think you can get up to four terabytes on on like the pros but if you want more than that it's you have to go up to the max not because they're like tight ass although the pricing certainly reflects

how much [ __ ] tight asses they are but because it's physically a requirement yeah you have to have space that's just that's just how they work you can't that much with that battery life that does mean you can take it somewhere and do it elsewhere not worry about yeah plugging in or it's like an iPad cuz an iPad when remember the iPads first came out it was like [ __ ] this thing lasts forever yeah but it's the same chips so it's like yeah know why why wouldn't it great because usually they they'll they'll boast a certain battery life but then they'll say but but don't run any apps don't actually use it that's a factor too so we're not saying 22 hours of Adobe premere Pro but no at least 10 hours of Adobe Pro you

know watching some videos and I think the new the new M3 CPUs have um like Hardware decoding for like YouTube which improves the battery life because it's like optimized for that stuff I think yeah okay it's all cool first Mac I ever bought and I I didn't get into Macs until the late '90s with with with the the juicy colorful IMAX was my first one and your one button Mouse yeah yeah my the puck um so I wasn't I wasn't with Apple 2 or any of that stuff Macintosh before then but the first one that I bought it was 2500 bucks for the standard 3 gab storage version except I wanted the 10 GB one of course which was $3,000 so I had to I had to pay $500 extra dollar to get 10 GB worth of I

remember my first Mac it was an Apple Macintosh LC 575 oh do you still have that is that still at your parents house cuz I want it it's it it's long gone but I remember playing X-Wing on it oh yeah and it was very hard to play CU I remember arrow keys on that keyboard they all in on line and then to fire so you couldn't you couldn't fly the ship or move with the mouse but you had to fire with the mouse so you had to fly with the keys hold on so you're using your right hand for both keyboard arrow keys and mouse yes so you're sort of flying and then having to fight so it was a very interesting game to play that's very and at that point too the mouse wasn't a given on any other system other than the Mac so yeah yeah you know like you could people would buy a say

Comm 64 without even thinking about it even a joystick what do you need a mouse for it was not a given that you were going to get a Jo no no definitely not in fact most people who had a joystick for the c64 had an Atari joystick that they I used to plug my um Sega Master System control pad in that was the best way to do it that the Sega Master System was a great controller for the time it was much better plus it had the two buttons so if you had a lot of the a lot of the joysticks then were just single button but if you worked out like one day you were like he if the game very often it didn't yeah yeah have you seen the releasing a new Atari 2600 I have seen that yeah I did see that I'm thinking about it it's more expensive than I think I really so I thought I

thought it was I thought it was being a bit cheeky with that price I don't know I mean it's got Games built into to it so that how much is it it's like I think was under 200 I remember that okay I think it was like 140 or something like it wasn't I've got the um the re-release that's like its own console that has no [ __ ] games on it cuz I guess nobody else bought them only I did but the thing TV yeah the the thing is play your old games it'll plug into a new monitor but you you can do that you can get like a Raspberry Pi in a in a in a little Chazzy that looks like a retro console that'll play retro Arch and play any game from any console this only plays Atari think about it I've got I've got Atari cartridges I could get them out I could put them in

yeah so that's the thing it does play actual Atari cartridges right and they've said they've going to release games new games on cartridge that you can buy and play so that is definitely a plus and imag not new games but no I mean they should though yeah absolutely well and imagine like a game that they make now could actually better people still make uh Game Boy games and and yeah like oh there's a huge Amiga game seen now there's um there's there's new apps for um coding Amiga games that you can code for the olda 500s and stuff that that just pushed the Machinery to limits that it just didn't know it could do back in the 80s yeah because I I I think we talked about this I was toying with the idea of trying to get back into making a combo 64 game because I have a

com 64 right here on my desk um and just because this is the computer I grew up with and I love it and yeah and I thought about it but if I do it for some I can't get past the idea that I just need to do it on the Commodore 64 right I've got the here whereas a lot of the tutorials online and and people on PC they do yeah exactly they do it on a modern computer with like a modern compiler and tools that kind of makes a file that can run on this and I'm like that feels a bit gross though yeah yeah but I'm just looking like I always go back to like Grand Theft Auto 4 and five like Xbox 360 when that when that game came out and like both came out in the same console and they are Worlds Apart so I'm just imagine what people could go back and do a market for it that's so

true they do they still make Comm 64 games like in and uh and like I said we get we get to uh press releases for Game Boy cartridges yeah I'm see and a lot of Kickstarter you're seeing a lot of games hey we're going to release this on Game Boy and it's cool [ __ ] cool yeah I mean if you got you can you can specify your platform and and just look at games just for 664 and they'll run on your 664 emulator if that's what you want to play it on but they'll also run on your 664 if you've got away to no I can't reach it but yeah I've got a little SD card reader attached to it are you seeing some of the old um Game Boy cartridges are starting to die oh like the batter batteries are dying yeah which is an easy fix but yeah but unless you've if you G by cartridge size

maybe just need a new battery which is weird for the actual cartridge saves has gone that's um so I've been playing some retro games this week because Harper my daughter is massively into dinosaurs at the moment like just Next Level into dinosaurs um and so we've been playing Jurassic Park right but we've been playing both the SN version and the Mega Drive SL Genesis versions and they couldn't be more different it's funny version was done by ocean right which which got most of the the licensed uh games back in the generally they did the Batman's and all of those ones right and it's pretty good isometric you're basically looking at Alan Grant's hat as

he goes around and tries to round up dinosaurs it kind of looks like I mean it's for Nintendo right so it kind of looks like Pokémon or Zelda or there that kind of vibe the Genesis one sea style is like this the darkest like cinematic platformer you could imagine um Sid scroller Sid scroller um realistic more realistic character Grant gets [ __ ] murdered if you touch a dinosaur like you know I mean like he gets brutalized by these by these terrasaurs and stuff um excellent but both good both both equally good she loves them it's so funny that they always just make completely different games yeah on the two platforms because I remember being disappointed once like

there was something my friend had and I was like I want to play that and I got the Sega version I was like what the [ __ ] is this yeah the Alien 3 version on Nintendo and Mega Drive couldn't be more different as well the same thing one of them is a very sanitized just like it looks like [ __ ] Mario and the other one is like oh yeah you want to see death that was really what the console was about cuz they were different games that's why I was always a Seager guy when I was at um like as I had my friends be like look at Mario and I'm like look at what I'm [ __ ] playing like it was just so flashback another world like that that era that that's what that's what the the mega dri yeah [ __ ] Weir game mhm mhm Have You Seen Her actually making a

flashback too yes I have seen this um I'm scared yeah look honestly did you ever play the flashback remake they did they added stuff remake flashback 2 looks like that and I'm not interested unless they make it look 16 bit I'm not interested yeah then I'll get a tto of it yeah just give it to just feed it through chat gbt or Dary and does remind me I do need some help okay with tattoos with tattoos I'm getting I'm booking to get another tattoo on the first of December okay and you don't know what it is don't know what I'm getting yeah my right arm can't decide what I want therefore I don't make an appointment yeah that's right yeah no no I just I I get a tattoo I leave I and I book we've got a great relationship me

my tatto but I'm thinking about two little She Wonderful listeners come up with an idea nerdy me so okay let's just go down the checklist of things you like that you already have you have a robo tattoo already right i' got a couple of robot techs you got Fallout already got couple Star Wars got Star Wars already got Star Wars you've got us I should have with that you've got us you got a m tattoo got Halo Halo you got the Xbox logo if if you just want to be generic um I've got Streets of Rage and Alex the kid Donald Duck do you have a b five tattoo stop saying Alex the kid because people are going to not know that you've being ironic it's Alex kid all right and I I've got two beon five

tattoos two B five tattoos now I know some of these are I don't think I even knew about I don't think I knew about I'm okay to I'm okay to double up like it doesn't need to be new I just but just get just get one over the top of the one you have the same thing I do know what when I eventually run out of space I know what I'm getting for the background Tetris Tetris yeah that would be great Tetris one arm columns on the did you watch the tetris movie yet Luke by the way no I Haven watch [ __ ] great it is far more exciting than I am certain those events actually were did we talk about this I watch I watch Blackberry we did talk about this oh did you not no not not with me on cuz I recommended you watch it and then this the last time SP about it yeah great

right yeah really good and how [ __ ] good is Glenn Howton so good so good yeah yeah there's Oscar buzz yeah yeah no there's no way they will give it to him I don't know man he's gunning for it he is he is doing projects that aren't always sunny like like trying to break out of that mold he's got to do something he did go to juliard yeah the people who vote for it are going to go Budd he's always Sonny we can't do that I read an article recently about why they decided to eventually drop the Philadelphia accents and I'm like I did not notice that yeah I didn't either no apparently season one they're doing the accents yeah apparently they're doing the Accents in the first season and then they they just decide not to anymore maybe it's because we don't really get

it because it's just all American yeah probably I imagine Philly is more like like kind of Boston is is it like the that would be my guess yeah I don't know I don't know I've been there a couple times I don't then again I think Boston and Chicago and that's like you said Luke we don't hear the Nuance I can tell New York and I can tell Southern are different from Los Angeles but that's it but that's it yeah whereas yeah there are different between the states and there's even differences in Australia but I can't pick them I'm I'm pretty tuned yeah to the Aussie regions no because I think the Queensland accent is different from the Sydney one is different as well yeah Melbourne's got their little nuances

they say castle instead of Castle and stuff huh and there's a whole difference between like little franks whether they're little boys or not no one says that but you you pervert tiny little dicks um while we're talking about movies um I've got to say I I watched a film recently um it's called Dungeons and Dragons did you this is this is the best film of the year it's [ __ ] this has no right to be this good it the writing is amazing Chris Pine's performance in is who knew he could be this funny I really think I really think we should wait for Jeremy so good [ __ ] it is Luke this

is like they watch one of our games and when we're doing that as the movie like the scene where they fight that obese Dragon there's a dragon that's coming after them but it's obese and it's trying to roll toward it's I was in tears of laughter it's very I will watch that after when we finish today no I still I would normally try not to overhype this has everything you want in a movie it's like high fantasy but also just beautifully written and also hilariously funny it's very funny I it's Jonathan Jonathan not Jeremy Jonathan oh yeah he wants to wait that's right I really think we should wait and then the it's it's not a spoiler happens so early on but but [ __ ] that's a great scene the trailers didn't make me want to watch this the only reason I

watched it is because Matt said and only reason I watched it is cuz my friends who play who used to play D and D with said wait you haven't watched it you've got to watch it yeah and it is watching a DN d game but made into a movie and if you have played DN D you'll know like you'll get more jokes than if you haven't played it they keep they keep giving that guy all the stuff to carry cuz he's got a bag of holding but they never say that he's got a bag just keeps putting stuff in his bag like it's so funny mate when they come up against the80s cartoon D and D characters oh yeah yeah in the in the the thing in the Maze amazing so good H gr so good that [ __ ] Paladin guy is great too mate [ __ ] you're he's walk Rock no no

straight over straight he is so good um Michelle Rodriguez plays the the taccino chick hilariously hilariously so good oh yeah husband or her ex-husband so funny yeah but even the fact that Chris Pine his character is the he's a Bard right and so like he brings the power of Bard like the power of song like that's his like and occasionally he'll like okay I'll bust out a song like it's it's so good yeah yeah watch it Luke are you you'll like it guaranteed you'll like it I watched the other movie that we have on here to discuss pain Hustlers see I don't know what this is I don't know what this is oh did I add

that I mean that would explain it okay hold on let me Google this I mean it sounds sounds like it could be pornography has another Chris in it it's got the worst of all Chris's he came last right oh Emily Blunt I like her yeah yeah she's from Oppenheimer so it's sort of Katherine ohar is in it yeah oh I like her I took away differently than what the movie is trying to portray so the movie is all about how like uh reps like reps are trying to push drugs and how they're all bad the opoid syst drugs are all bad looking at going yeah but I'm looking at going no these drugs would help me but you're making it bad by pushing it for people who don't need it right it's actually quite an interesting story interesting

I'm watching a show about big Farmer at the moment too that uh I know that at least one of you have seen uh last night I watched the first episode of House of aser [ __ ] off to a strong start [ __ ] me is watching it what a great first episode aming it's so good A lot of people be like in it right oh the cast is amazing hey if you've seen any of his other shows or films all of regulars are in there but then he's just doubled down with some other great actors is so good in it cuz he's not Mark H he's not doing his normal Mark Hill role no he's talk like this and he's a [ __ ] [ __ ] yeah that's right yeah he wouldn't say it like that though he's still doesn't use any foul language no I loved it yet so pain

Hustlers is a film or a TV show film a film film look I I recommend it but yeah I just yeah I just watch it cuz it's all about like the fental stuff okay this probably wasn't going to be on my radar but it's directed by somebody who did several of the Harry Potters it's sort of like wait which ones talk like like doctors just prescribing it for anything and everything Phoenix and the Deathly HS deathly HS okay just but yeah I just yeah yeah okay like if you want you I think you you'll you understand what they're trying to push how this is all bad but I'm looking at it yes that's bad but this could help done

right so conservative now in his old age he's like I support big farmer Hillary hary I don't know who that is but I might watch it just for that Hillary Harley she's from the the vampire daries I I was like she looks familiar I know yeah she's from The Vampire daries she's not a huge character don't get your hopes up is what he say speaking of very small characters or just small actresses playing big characters I I watch something else so I I just I was we we were talking offline before about how our daughters won't go to bed anymore um my daughter spent a several weeks only going to sleep if I was on the floor of her bedroom also pretending to go to sleep uh and so I don't have to do that SAR for you back not good not good for

anything not good for my [ __ ] nasal passages dream breathing in dust off the floor either but uh for your self-esteem just not good not good full stop right so uh but but I couldn't like I couldn't have my laptop there or my switch she'd be like Dad go to sleep but I could real say put your phone away yeah so I could I could have my phone it was the one thing I could have because I could kind of have it under you know like out of sight but it meant that I could only watch essentially YouTube or Netflix right so I'm like okay what's on myet and I hadn't turned on the Netflix for probably a year but I'm like what's on Netflix that I that was always on my list I'm like okay well people have stopped [ __ ] on about how good Wednesday is now so I'll give it a go

now that the hype's gone yeah it's pretty good I watched the whole thing over a few nights look I like the characters I like the tone I like the story I didn't give a [ __ ] about the actual mystery they were trying to solve sure and when they reveal who it is I'm like okay fine it could have been literally anyone in this town you picked that person fine um I guess it's The Buffy of this generation you know it it's so Buffy adjacent in its tone and the only thing that that really annoyed me about it was that I felt the characters were trying to be a little too hip a little too here and now and then I had to remind myself that that's what Buffy did we just didn't know it was on the nose cuz we were 15 when we started watching that I

found it with the only the issue character-wise was you know Wednesday is supposed to be very detached and not care but she like she goes an awful lot of effort to do certain things yeah yeah like turning that around and it's like where are you going to go from there now exact she's not Wednesday from the yeah she's supposed to be the one who's different and yet she goes to a school full of freaks and vampires and things and also it's isn't she but they still refer to her as the goth one and she gets a made uniform that is black instead of blue but then again she doesn't want to be like her mom cuz her mom went to the [ __ ] dark prom and all of this stuff and it's like well yeah you are but little like you just squint and don't worry about those ex

squint exactly squint or be 15 and don't care the first it's the first time you're being exposed to these kind of stories and you'll think she's very good it she's very funny like her delivery was spot on like she's just great and everything she's in yeah she is very good yeah like she's the I think she like she's basically booked in as soon as they're allowed to start filming again she's got a lot of things back to back oh totally yeah she's doing all the screams now she's she be Beetle Juice sequel coming soon oh that's true yeah they're filming that near near me oh someone stole playing the daugh is we got a there was a a news article going around uh someone it's up near Vermont place where they're filming and um yeah someone stole a bunch of [ __ ] off the

set the um was it you SC were there you're saying too much they might sell off some stuff after though oh yeah uh they they did an auction for I they don't do a whole lot of filming in Sydney but I remember when they did mulon Rouge back in the day they sold off all the furniture after that and I was like [ __ ] I'd love some M on Rouge Furniture in my house look into that they do sell someone stole check post at the time you the sculptures that they have in the in the first one grabs who it grab grabs somebody you know the one that like like closes around like a rib cage yeah they've got that got stolen from the set and some other stuff recently I was I was Googling you know when you know when they go to

purgatory and there's the um receptionist who's receptionist there forever cuz she committed suicide um that actress is also the the female lead in The Three Amigos huh you know the one who actually goes and writes to The Three Amigos to seen that so this woman sees a film with the Three Amigos oh this is what's happening in my town I need to contact these guys yeah and a film yeah so her um uh is is also that small part but she di she died last year yeah and I was like oh that's it's you know it's sad when you see the was instead of is on somebody's IMDb and then you're like was no she could have been geeked away could have been just

but I mean it's not like maybe she was we just don't remember that it came up yeah it's very possible sometimes I have to Google if Sean Conor is still alive cuz like I just can't remember if he's dead or just retired yeah Christopher Lee I read realized the other day cuz somebody said he died like back in the like 2016 or something I was like what first I've heard of this like like no I watched a really great uh documentary it's an old BBC documentary by Mark gatis from um oh yeah is it League of gentleman's League of [ __ ] I think and he went on to do Sherlock and some other stuff anyway it's a host he made this documentary it's a three-part BBC documentary about the history of horror and three of his favorite eras from horror I've seen it I've seen you can

watch the whole thing on YouTube yeah yeah no I did yeah so there the Universal movies then the hammer it's great isn't it he is so knowledgeable about horror I had no idea that was his because it's slight because it's older like it's from probably 10 15 years ago he's got interviews of people who are dead now yeah that it's like super interesting like um the people like people from you know some someone who worked on Dracula like the original Dracula B legosi and stuff like that like and then he's got it's a very informative I think that's where I learned about the Spanish version of the Dracula as well oh right sure yeah I think I think I didn't know about it before I watched his it's funny when you hear people's like actual passions and their side

projects like um you guys know the actor Simon cowl you'll definitely know him he was the big fat gay guy from um for weddings and a funeral right he has written three books on auson Wells and I only know this because when when I was doing my Master's dissertation on a a lot of the sources I was signing as Simon C like this isn't the suon yeah yeah he's an actor for a job but what he really loves is writing books about auson Wells Wells W specifically yeah yeah anyway look it up it's yeah the history of horror with Mar called something like that is it Mar Martis am I getting his name right I wouldn't have known his name if you didn't say it and describe who he was buttis yeah he played um you'd know him if you watch British

shows yeah mof M yeah in in Sherlock he's very good yes he is so the league of gentlemen is the show Le of marel is an old Forum that we used to [ __ ] back in the day but not the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen which is the film that ruined Shan Conor's career con yes that's he where he just went I don't understand anymore I retire so Luke you said something I read a quote about that whereas the reason that he did it was because somebody else he thought turned down the Matrix wasn't it that's right it was something like that where he thought they were [ __ ] stupid and then he turned down some movie that went on to become like I think it's a matrix I think they offered

probably been 20 years since I've seen it maybe maybe I'll give it another watch and I started think I I definitely wanted do that so I'm going to go back I'm going to watch Highlander 1 again cuz actually it's been quite a long time since I've even seen that and then I'm going to follow it with Highlander too and and see how I feel I told Jenna had never seen Highlander and I we put it on one night and she did not like it and even I was like I can tell why you can feel yeah it's like it's just it's of its time you had to grow up with like it was well that's I wonder how do the the Remake that I mean you guys discussed it last week we don't have to go back over it but I kind of hope that they just go

back to the original screenplay and I mean the original too cuz they actually they DED it down a little bit for the the version that they did do you know that was written by a like a first year screenwriting student um because this is just what happens when you live in Los Angeles right he he wrote it as an assignment for his like handed it in and his teacher was like this is is pretty good and then he was drinking with with a mate of his who's a producer he's like any of your kids turning in anything good he's like actually yes have a read of this and then he's like I'm taking this straight to [ __ ] Paramount whatever also if you look at the first one the big part of that movie was just the soundtrack yeah but obviously none of

that was in the script they they unless it was no apparently it was apparently yeah no apparently the the the screenwriter hated that they hated that they put Queen in there hated that they put a bunch of jokes and apparently he was like this is meant to be dead serious he's like stop camping it up my Mortals are deadly serious but the soundtrack was amazing it's like Tim Burton with Prince where like oh Prince is going the music no he's not then music they're both going to do it yeah Prince is like well coite it 's like no elfman's like he just took his hands off a woman he was sexually assaulting long enough to say prince I'm not I'm not doing this you leave him alone that's what she said you leave him alone

of his that I think people have said it started off good and then wasn't good by the end and that's Oppenheimer interesting it's not Oppenheimer not Oppenheimer Oppenheimer okay next one yeah we'll probably go we probably forever go down as the most underrated music IAL score in cinema history H Zimmer's impact on this already amazing film is incredible it could be any of them no he's done it's not tenant not Oppenheimer no I mean I think the score I think the score for Interstellar is amazing I think that's the best it's fantastic absolutely is it is it Interstellar it's Interstellar yeah read the second review again now that we wa actually read the first review now that we

okay really just terrible movie what were they thinking I mean really what were they thinking thousands of years of Law and this is what they come up with shameful okay Thor and this film is squarely targeted for children but does not does a good job of weaving references from the franchise throughout the origin fil story decent familyfriendly entertainment so which one is for Solo solo thousands of years of law I mean like like I guess it sounds more like a Lord of the Rings yeah of some sort I mean yeah it's not like they've been making the films for thousands of years but I guess there is collectively thousands of years of law if you consider the Old Republic yep yep that's

that's not even the case anymore it's just about collecting stars and moons yeah yeah but like when they've said they they're going to do the Fallout TV show I'll give that a watch because I want to see what kind of character development they've given the the wastelander you know what I mean like okay this is this is interesting Mario he's a plumber he jumps on pipes and he rides around on Yoshi like okay great yeah yeah yeah the story is nonsense itang all time remember we did uh this might have been an Afterparty thing where we tried to figure out who the [ __ ] is Waluigi h Jimmy t w Luigi Jimmy t w Luigi yeah yeah it's non it's nonsensical yeah yeah yeah like did Mario and Wario meet one day and go

that's funny our names rhyme and then Luigi's like and what's your mate's name this W Luigi Waluigi but then Waluigi actually means evil Luigi in Japanese Oh I thought it was just because Mario was Wario Wario yeah no but that's that's Al so it's also a pun that we didn't even get so that's what I mean it's just it's incomprehensible that's that's insane yeah yeah because W Luigi didn't exist when Wario was created Wario was created on the Game Boy as just like a little mini game thing and it clearly was to play Mario yes but then while Luigi shley was a joke like like Wario and Mario sound at least they've rhymed but then Luigi and Luigi it actually means something apparently which amazing

here like I don't I clearly there's Nuance in the American Driving system that that I just I'm not aware of you can turn right on red okay yes why that makes no [ __ ] sense well right is does right is the equ red exactly if if you were in Australia and you got to a red light as long as you stop you can basically if you're turning left say so let's pretend this is Australia so it's easier no I understand if you can go for it left but only if it's one of those very rare is that has a sign saying left turn any time with in America that's not you just do it that's everywhere unless you're in a state that it isn't legal which you would need to know ahead of time or there's a sign that says you can't you can't do can't do it yeah um yes

uh why the [ __ ] does it take 10 minutes for me to get from my car to my apartment like [ __ ] NL I can't Fast Track up into my apartment like Jesus Christ the amount of wasted time in this [ __ ] game fast travel yeah you can can I all right well it didn't make that clear to me but look cuz I I'm playing the DLC for it that finally came out been so long to fast travel you got to go to a fast travel station [ __ ] off no no no no [ __ ] off no no as in there's like terminals around and you can fast travel between them and one of them is they built it into the story of the game the fast traveling yes you're teleporting essentially yeah outside your apartment to the you go out and then like a little bit to to the left I think is like a little computer and it's

a fast travel terminal well nobody has told me that so I've just been walking up the [ __ ] stairs every [ __ ] time catching the elevator walking the stairs no but I've tried to play DLC but I can't get into it because it's been so long since I've played the game it's not like normal DLC which comes out fairly close I don't remember the game at all so it's and I'm not starting again and yeah it's just a shame just start again they screwed the of that I can't because I don't care about I won't be getting achievements and I need achievements it's all about achievements that's why I am currently ranked still says seventh but I think I'm sixth Australia yeah cuz true achievement.com doesn't give you the correct ranking so stop looking at it it

there quite a few of those there's quite a few games that I've now purchased on well I can't yet I've got nothing to play Boulders gate on cuz I can't play it on my Mac a work back Mac I can't play it on my PC because it's garbage and I can't play it on Xbox because I won't sort this [ __ ] out so it'sing I can play on this I've resubscribed to GeForce now though because as as much as I love my Mac Studio it's not a gaming machine Max just aren't and then so I tried I created like another test account for um GeForce Now launch balers Gate 3 oh my God so I was like no I can't I've got to play it on that now so I would love to have the money to burn to just buy a gaming PC mhm well I I don't have that either that's what GeForce now is like a tradeoff it's like

like 10 bucks a month I think and then they give you stream it yeah yeah can you do that on PC as well as Mac like if you just have a sh PC can you yeah you can just essentially you're just using their di into their powerful more powerful Hardware than Internet it's the internet connection that you need that need to be good playing the streaming games on your can buy in Australia mhm so maybe we try that yeah maybe that is worth trying actually I'm just going to wait for bcap 3 to come out it's coming soon the other reason I bought it again subscribed again is because I can't play Dune spice Wars on my Mac and I was enjoying I tried that I could not get into it I was enjoying it so I can play that again now as well cuz it came out Game Pass yeah I play that why haven't I
