Luke slept 18 hours before this episode because he was up until 3 AM playing Forza Horizon 6. That’s the kind of dedication that costs nearly $200 when you factor in the premium upgrade. Meanwhile Matt was over here still playing Conan Exiles Enhanced on GeForce Now and trying to figure out mod management on a streaming service (spoiler: it’s a nightmare).

We also talked about:

  • Mixtape on Game Pass — Luke really wants you to play this one. Silverchair and Smashing Pumpkins on the soundtrack, little indie game about friends and memories. Just play it.
  • XBOX is all caps again. Yes. Matt polled the audience (well, Microsoft did on Twitter). Everybody said all caps. Done.
  • Some leaked photos of what’s supposedly the new Xbox Cloud Gaming controller. Luke called bullshit immediately and we stand by that.
  • Uwe Boll is making 23 Years Later: The Castle of the Dead because Paul W. S. Anderson is making a House of the Dead movie and Uwe cannot let that stand. God bless him.
  • James Bond casting has started. Denis Villeneuve directing. Timothy Dalton deserved better. Luke nominated himself and Rahul.
  • Avatar 4 and 5 are now ‘very much uncertain.’ The third one lost money compared to the first one when you adjust for inflation. James Cameron needs to figure out how to make these for less.
  • The Rehearsal season 2 is good. The episode where Nathan Fielder is a baby is… a thing that exists.
  • Matt checked Pornhub live on the show and immediately regretted it. AI… stuff. Moving on.

Plus Would I Lie to You, Fallout 5 (coming in the 2030s, don’t hold your breath), Obsidian getting roasted by Bethesda after New Vegas, scam phone calls being just normal now — it’s all in there.

[music] Multiple nerdm >> Hello. >> Hi. >> I've woken up specially for this show, which is normally strange cuz normally it's you are the one waking up. >> I mean, I I am awake. >> Yes, >> I did wake up. Yeah, luckily. You know, you never know at our age. [laughter] >> Oh, I don't know. I slept for what? 12 hours. 18 [laughter] hours today. >> 18 hours? >> Yes. >> That's interesting. Huh. >> That's not right. >> I don't think I've ever slept that long. >> I I woke up. Woke up a couple of times, then I just >> went back to sleep. >> Go back to sleep. >> Well, I hope you're okay. >> So do I. >> We'll uh we'll see if you make it

through the show. >> Yeah. >> Maybe you'll be the geek of the week by the end of this. Baby, [laughter] I know why I went to sleep at 3:00 a.m. >> Okay. >> Cuz I've been playing forts of Horizon 6. >> Oh, >> I saw the time. I'm going to bed now. >> Okay. But I want to Okay. Well, I I obviously I'm concerned about you, >> but I also am concerned about Fors of Horizon 6. So, um I don't know. >> I'm enjoying it so far. Um I'm playing it early cuz I've got the digital deluxe version. >> Right. Right. But I got the premium upgrade. >> So it's >> it's where you get 18 hours of sleep with the game. >> Yeah. Well, it's where you get three you get the game like 3 days early or something and you get all the DLC and everything. >> Yeah.

>> The price of it has jumped up quite a lot though. >> How much is Fortza Horizon 6? Well, see, I've only purchased like the deluxe upgrade the last few times because it comes on Game Pass and I probably get it early and get everything else. >> The past few times it's been about $50, which is >> fine. >> Well, well, I was going to say that's a lot, but okay. Yep. >> Well, it comes with the two DLCs that I deal >> already have, but >> this one cost me $96. >> Jesus Christ. Like it's nearly doubled in price just to get the upgrade. That's not even the game. >> Yeah. Right. >> So, it's nearly $200 for the game and all the DLC and the early access and everything, which is >> I've been hearing very good things about

it, but now I'm looking at it and it's got mixed reviews on Steam. Is that I'm going to scroll down. Is that because it's expensive or something? >> I I'm not sure. Like I'm enjoying it's the same. It's the same as any other Forza game. It's Horizon game. It's >> could be >> someone's got a problem with performance. >> Performance. Yeah. >> With App Hawkins. >> That's a normal thing with games coming out on PC that they have issues at the start. >> Yeah. I'm trying to >> which is the reason why I think like GTA 6 like that won't come out to PC for a year after console so they can >> focus on it. >> Yeah. A lot of people having issues getting it to work apparently on PC. All right. But on the cockbox it's fine.

>> Yep. You install your play. >> Yeah. All right. Where is this one set? >> It's set in Japan. >> Oh, that's fun. >> Yes. >> H All right. So, you get to drive around Tokyo, then head out and drive around the countryside and up the mountains. Yeah. >> Um, I mean, I'd be interested in this game. Uh, >> they're they're a fun, easy game. Like, it's not as serious as the actual main series. The Horizon, >> right, >> is Horizon fun. >> Yeah. Like there's the the bits where you chase a jet and all that silliness. >> Yeah. Earlier ones, it's like Yeah. It's just more Yeah, it's more casual, but >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Where anyone can >> It's like arcade. Yeah. Although I think you can set it to be more realistic,

right? But I generally >> I do that. I do turn on like simulation steering. Turn off all the traction control and all of that. >> Do you? >> Yeah. >> Learn something about you. Okay. Do you use your steering wheel to play it? >> Yep. >> Huh. So yeah, I turn all of that stuff off so it is a bit more. And I >> You turn off traction control when you drive a real car. >> Yeah. >> Why? >> What do you need it for? No, I leave it on when I'm driving a real car. It's fun driving in the computer game with it off. >> Yeah, sure. >> Yeah. Not in real life. The god, though. It's there for a reason to keep me alive. >> Yeah. All right. [snorts] Cool. All right. So, how much have you played of it? Um, I don't know. I think I finished like So, there's

I think seven to nine wristbands that you're going to get. I've got the one. >> Okay. And what kind of car are you driving at the moment? >> Oh, I drive a different car every time. >> Okay. >> I just buy a new car every time cuz I assume that'll lead to an achievement of some sort. >> I haven't actually checked the achievements. I've just been playing it. >> [ __ ] I don't believe you. >> I haven't. I promise. Cuz this one you can just play the game to a certain point and then worry about the achievements later. >> I'm checking them now. >> Wait, why why are you saying that? Why why can you worry about the achievements later? >> Well, there's it's not like in some games where it's um there's missable

achievements or anything. >> Oh, okay. All right. I see. >> Like if it's a storydriven game, you can it's easy to miss achievements. So that's why >> story driven, right? >> Oh, there's a story to it, but the achievements aren't going to be related really to that apart from progressing up to get wristbands. >> Okay, >> let me put in >> Thank you. But I'll check the achievements now. >> All right, [snorts] >> we've got a already got 17 of them. [laughter] >> You have? You didn't even notice. >> I knew I was getting them, but yeah, they all like earn you different wristbands, >> right? >> Discover different regions. >> Okay. >> Complete five to battles. I don't know

what they are yet. >> Is it the whole of Japan or just a section of Japan? >> It's uh it's got different parts of Japan. You're not It's not the map of Japan, you know. The reason I ask is cuz the one that was set in the UK had like >> Edinburgh and >> Yeah, it was like kind of like the UK but not really. >> It's the same as this one. Like it's got different parts of Japan just all crammed in together. >> Okay. Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. >> Oh, cool. >> But like when you were driving through Edinburgh, that was Edinburgh, >> right? Yeah. Yeah. Sort of. Yeah. >> Sort of. >> You could recognize >> I could recognize parts of >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Yeah. >> No, I've walked down that street. >> I like these games. I would play it. I

don't have time, so I won't, but I would. >> No, >> there is a game that I highly recommend that you do play. >> Okay. >> Mixtape. >> Mixtape. >> Yes. >> This game came out at Game Pass just recently. It's about three friends who are spending their last night together and one the main character you're playing has created a mixtape of her time together with her friends that's going to be sent off and the music is great. >> I saw what I thought was a clip of this and that doesn't sound like what I saw at all. >> Oh yeah. No, >> only because let me let me tell you what I saw and I thought this was mixtape. >> Yep. >> Is a kid running through a field. Is that part Is that in this game? >> That is in this game. >> Okay. All right.

>> So, each of the levels are sort of like I would call them mini games, but there's different sort of >> things that happen throughout. >> Yeah. Okay. >> Like there's a skateboarding section. There's a section where you're sort of flying through the air. There's a section where you're running through a field. >> Okay. >> There's just different things, but it's more of a that's sort of in between the levels of talking to your friends, visiting memories. >> Interesting. >> Yeah. heard. But no, it's a really good game. >> And is the soundtrack um like licensed music or is it Yeah. Okay. All right. >> So, it's actually it's got um Silver Chair, Spashing Pumpkins. >> Oh, interesting. >> Like it's Yeah. >> And Yeah. No, I just really enjoyed it. It's

not a long game either. >> I mean, it does it. Yeah. Yeah. I got the impression that it was like a little indie game, >> little short thing. Is it indie? Is it actually indie? >> Yeah. Okay. Yeah, it is. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Cool. >> No. No. Highly recommend. Definitely worth a play, especially if you got Game Pass installed right now. >> I don't I don't know you. >> But I'm talking to our listeners. >> Oh, gotcha. Them? >> Yes. They may have game pass. >> I forgot they were here. >> Yeah. Um that >> I might get Game Pass again. Uh >> well, now the price has dropped. >> Yeah, but I don't It's It's too late now. Like if if they hadn't put it up, I might have kept it >> and I wouldn't have [clears throat] thought about it. But now

>> And now you got to But now buying it back again. >> It's been what, a year since I had it and I've not missed it cuz I don't I've realized, oh, I don't play my Xbox that often and when I do play it, I own the games that I want to play. M. >> So, and like not being able to play a game is like, oh, okay. >> Well, this one is also you could actually just buy this for the cost of game pass, I think. >> Yeah. Right. That, too. Yeah. I think it in general it would be cheaper for me to buy games that I wanted to play. >> Yeah. >> Than to have Game Pass. I just because it's >> because you forget it's there and you don't have time. >> That's right. All right. And when I do have time, I play uh June Awakening,

>> which is playing or I play now uh I was already already went back to this game and now I've gone back to it even more. Conan Exiles Enhanced >> cuz you really just >> [ __ ] dumped >> you just played dumped the [ __ ] Unreal Engine 5 remake of Code and Exiles. >> Yep. >> On everybody >> and >> and you just can't get enough of it now. I mean, it's a good game. It's fun. Uh, and now it looks incredible. So, >> because it did look very Jakey last time. >> It did. It did. I I know we already talked about this. I just I've still been playing it a little bit and uh mods are getting updated. The only problem I have is um I'm playing this on GeForce Now. >> Yep. >> And mods on GeForce Now can be clunky. >> Yeah. >> Because it's not on your computer. So

basically every time you launch it, it supposed to like >> it was working properly. It like downloads all the DLC that you own, which is all of it now. By the way, Conan Xiles is on sale, so there's no DLC I don't [laughter] have now. Um and and all your mods and stuff, and then when you launch the game, uh and from the you know, games have launches on PC where you start the game, doesn't actually start the game, it starts the little window that lets you [ __ ] around with stuff. >> Yep. um FunCon game, Funcom games, you can toggle mods and stuff on and off in there. And you have to do that on GeForce Now because >> if you launch the game and then you go

in and you say inside the game, you say, "I want to use these mods, it says you have to restart the game to activate the mods." >> On GeForce Now, when the game exits, it closes the whole thing. >> And so you have to remember to >> then you launch it again and then now it's forgotten everything because Yeah. Do you have many mods that you're using, you know, on code? >> I'm using one currently. I'm using two mods right now. Uh, and they're all around just character customization just to give you more options and you can um customize whenever you want. >> Bigger breasts. >> No, [snorts] no, [laughter] the default is too beef for me. Sorry, we don't we don't have to do this. [laughter] But Koden in particular has an aesthetic and it's it's it's just bigger than my

tastes out of the box. That's just let's leave it at that. >> Yep. So you got to shrink them down a bit. Just >> just a little bit. >> Just I find them excessive. >> But the penis is big >> obviously. >> And in the game also. >> Yes. >> Penis is big. >> Uh yeah. And so yeah. So, I got one that you can just toggle to edit things. >> Yeah. >> Cuz we've talked about this before. >> When you first make a character, it always ends up you get in the game and you go, [sighs] I didn't know they were going to look like that. >> Yeah. [laughter] >> So, >> the face is just never quite right. >> Yeah. And so, not that I'm I'm not changing it frequently. It was just so once I get in and I see myself running

around, I can say, "Okay, I need to fix something." >> Yeah. and without having to go and restart the entire game again. >> Yep. Um anyway, yeah, it's great. Nothing much else to say about it. It's a game that's been around for 10 years at this point. >> Yeah. Uh on the topic of Xbox, or should I say Xbox, because I thought it already was all capitals Xbox at some point. And then at some point it went just to capital X lowercase box. Yeah. >> Now it's uh it's all capital Xbox again. >> But I'm not Am I crazy? It was all capital Xbox at some point, right? >> I I don't quite remember. >> I always I know that the lowerase one

I've always seen, but No. >> Okay. I remember. I always used to capitalize it, but maybe I'm just an idiot. Well, apparently not because Microsoft is like they're now they did a poll on Twi on on X on Twitter asking whether they should use Xbox with a capital X lowerase box or all capitals Xbox and everybody says all caps and so >> they did it or they're going to do it. >> Oh, the use of all caps is a return to original form. Microsoft's first Xbox logo was in all caps. >> Ah, so you were remembering correctly. >> Yeah. And it's done that for 360 Xbox One and Xbox Series XS console logos. Okay. All right. So, it's just like All right. [snorts] >> It's going back to the original Xbox era,

>> I guess. So, so just be mindful when you message me and when you speak, make sure you're saying it in all caps. >> Okay. I will remember that. >> People will not know what you're talking about. >> Yes. Yes, cuz it will change the way you pronounce. >> There's no no exclamation point, so you don't have to yell. Well, you are yelling, but you don't have to. >> Yeah, just Xbox. >> Just slightly more emphasis. >> I was playing my Xbox the other day and >> Yeah. >> Yeah, >> exactly. >> Um, and the other Xbox news is that there are some leaked photographs of what is allegedly the new Xbox cloud gaming controller. I am going to call [ __ ] >> It looks [ __ ] weird, dude. Why

wouldn't it just be an Xbox controller? >> Exactly. This does not look comfortable in your hair. >> It looks terrible. It looks like uh not that there's anything wrong with uh what's that company 8bit do. They make good controllers, but they make ones that look like this. It looks like one of them. Just like a third party controller. >> Yeah. I I honestly do not believe that this is this is correct. Yeah, I mean I I I agree. >> I don't understand why it wouldn't just be this. >> This is an excellent controller. There's no need for it to be anything other than this. >> Yeah. Like looking at these pictures, it's >> it's more portable. It look Yeah. But >> Oh, it literally says here it looks

similar to third party options from 8bit do and HyperX. >> Yeah. Now, I'm convinced that this is >> he's just made one or printed one off and >> cuz >> Yeah. >> Yes, it's got the buttons, but it looks Yeah, it doesn't look comfortable in your hand for long periods of gaming. >> Yeah, I agree. Unless the goal is to just have it be smaller and more portable. Um but like I don't know, man. Yeah. >> Yeah. So, you're playing cloud, but it's not like the Xbox controller is super chunky or anything. It's >> No, no, but if you're going to throw this in a backpack, right, this does take up more room than presumably that >> that would that kind cuz that's more of a just a little

>> But I What I'm also looking at for Xbox new cloud gaming is that this be sort of a a replacement for having an Xbox completely even at home. >> Yeah. Yeah, >> you just use this. >> Yeah. With like a, you know, a dongle or a streaming service or or whatever. >> Yeah. Like I'm not even thinking about traveling cuz to make traveling, >> it seems like a bit excessive and yeah, people just buying this to play at home just so they don't have to buy a full Xbox and they just stream everything. Yeah, they would just make it just as a plain controller. So now I reckon this is a lie. [laughter] >> Call me out with lie. >> Yes. >> Now I just need someone going that is in fact trueing.

>> I love that show. >> It might be my favorite show. It's so good. Would I lie to you is the show in question in case >> and Lee Mac is just so quick. Lee Mack is ridiculous. Uh yeah. Uh Lee Mack and David Mitchell. I love David Mitchell as well. >> Um >> Oh, I haven't watched the TV show. I need to watch more of it. Is uh the season two of what? Of last one laughing. >> Oh yes. >> Um >> I've only seen one episode actually now that I think about it. I don't didn't find out who laughed. Someone laughed and they haven't I haven't >> Yeah, they have been doing a bit like this episode that season. >> Although it's the kind of show normally I would just keep watching it. >> Yeah.

>> And it wouldn't matter. But yeah, there was a reason I think it was like late one night we put one on and um >> Yep. >> Anyway, >> cuz Yeah, it is a good just have binging show. It's >> Yeah, it's funny as hell. >> Yes. Uh, I'm I love that Bob's back and uh >> yeah, good cast is Oh, every season has had >> it's just so I think it's sort of a pretty cheap show for them to make. >> Absolutely. Unless they have to pay Well, they have to pay them all for their time. >> They have to pay them all. You're paying them for a day's work. >> Yeah, exactly. Get in a room for a day. >> Yep. >> Done. I think a lot of those shows are like that. Like uh eight out of 10 Cats. Um

>> Yeah. Would I Lie to You? Like that's not an expensive show to produce. And I reckon bang for buck. >> That's got to be good for them. Like >> Yeah. Like I know even with um Taskmaster, they'll film like >> even that >> they can't be expensive either. >> No, cuz they get the they'll get the sort of the cast members out there for >> a few days >> and then in show they film like two shows back to back, >> right? in the in the studio. >> In the studio. So, >> yeah. >> So, yeah, you knock them out in a week. >> Yeah. And then bam. >> Yep. Let the money roll in. >> I wonder if they do What I Like to You multiples stacked like that. >> I I reckon they do at least two shows back toback. >> Yeah, it's interesting.

They have different guests though. They also do uh You see the bits that didn't make it. sometimes in special episodes. I wonder how many more there are >> of um >> bits they cut out because I sometimes you know they have a guest on who's not a comedian. >> Yes. >> And sometimes they go well, sometimes they don't. And I uh there was an interview with Rob Bryen where he said that's the host of this show in case anyone doesn't know who Rob Bden is. >> And they asked him has you ever had a guest on would I lie to you who was a problem [clears throat] >> like was difficult or it didn't work out or whatever? He said, "Just once." I guess I'm not going to tell you who it is. >> Mhm. >> But yeah, once we did have a problem and I was like, "Oh, I wonder what that means."

>> It's the same with um Taskmaster. There's one guest, there's one contestant that they've said they'd never have back. >> Really? >> And they don't say who, >> of course. Yeah, that's interesting. >> But he said like cuz he said it publicly and then he's gone like a few people have reached out and asked me if it was them. Not one of the people who's reached out has it been them. I think this person does not care either. >> I have a theory. >> Oh, do you? >> I reckon it's Julian Clary. >> Really? Okay, man. I haven't I haven't heard of Julian [laughter] Clary in a long time. >> I think he was sort of there going like, why am I on this show? Like, this is >> sure beneath me. >> [ __ ] Julian Clary.

It could be. I mean, >> been around for a long time. I don't want to misgender Julian Clary. Do we know what their preference is? >> I'm just going to go with Julian Clary. >> Wikipedia is going with he. I'll go with he. >> Uh, yeah. Yeah, he's been around [ __ ] >> forever. >> Yeah. So, I can see that. Maybe this is a new fangled thing that >> Yeah. Yeah, >> he doesn't get >> Yeah, >> maybe [clears throat] cuz Taskmaster is odd. >> You You need to think differently. >> Yeah, like just as a show it's odd. Like when I first watched it, I was like I don't What is this? Like it's it's kind of

>> like it's great and it's funny, >> but it is it's just it's a bit weird. Like it's not a traditional format show. >> No. >> In a way. Like Yeah. Maybe he didn't understand the show. >> Or maybe it's somebody else. Maybe it's somebody else. >> Maybe it's somebody else. Or it's just this is just my >> Maybe it's Romesh for some reason. Even though he [laughter] seems [ __ ] awesome. >> Um movies. Oh, I watched uh Project Hary again. Loved it again. >> Yeah. >> Just on is it on streaming now or did you go to the movies? It's It's on a certain streaming service. >> It's on a certain streaming service that only I have access to. I don't know. Is anyone What is it? Project Hell [laughter] Mary Streaming.

>> It'll be on Amazon. >> Can you stream Project Hail Mary yet? Yes, it came out on May 12th on streaming services, [clears throat] which is where I watched it. >> Yep. Cuz today is the 16th of May, so that lines up perfectly. And that's my story. Um, so I watched it uh again and it's great. >> Yeah. >> Yep. >> Continues to be great. >> I did go to the movies. I only saw one movie that I didn't manage to get there twice unfortunately. >> I saw Mortal Kombat 2. >> I was disappointed. >> Really? >> I was sort of cuz I liked the first one. >> Commenters on YouTube would be vindicated. >> Yes. They made fun of you for liking the first one. [laughter] >> Yes. >> I don't know what I enjoyed the first one.

>> The second one >> I see what they were trying to do. It just didn't work. So >> Johnny Cage gets called up to be a fighter and he's not want nothing to do with this. I'm going back. And I understand there's meant to be sort of a storyline where he know I need to come and fight and save the world and become the hero and all this and >> that just happens in two seconds. Like there's no real story arc for him. It's just >> right. >> No, I don't want to do it. Yes, I'm going to save everyone. >> Okay. >> And they have lined it up for a third one. I don't know if they will get it. >> Like as if they'll You think this one's going to flop? Yeah. >> What do the reviews say? Mortal Kombat 2. Let's see.

Uh, okay. It's not bad. >> Yeah. [sighs] Look >> in this. >> I mean, I like the story more than the fighting, I think. And I think that was the case of the first one. >> Why is a white man Shiao Kahan? >> You don't have an answer for that? >> I don't have an answer [laughter] for that. All right, just checking. Fair enough. [gasps] I mean, okay. Uh, okay. Josh Lawson's Ko. >> Yep. He comes back. >> Shang Tsung is this guy. Oh, yeah. Kungla's in there. Yeah. Okay. >> I just don't understand why Shia Khan is Wasia Kan. What? >> I think he was actually >> Khan was white in the original. Oh, it

was undetermined. Okay. >> Yeah, >> I guess I just always assumed given the name. >> Uh, >> that's what you get for assuming. >> Yeah, I guess so. [snorts] >> That's what you get. All right. Um, >> yeah. >> With Street Fighter out. Maybe Street Fighter will be more up. >> Maybe Street Fighter. Street Fighter's out later this year. Maybe that will be. But I I Yeah, I don't like the fighting in the in the games in the movies. >> Fighting in the games. I got bad news for you. [laughter] [clears throat] >> There's not much else. You don't like the fighting in the movie? [snorts] >> No, it's the fighting sort of boring. I like it if there's sort of story that's happening during the fight as well.

>> Yeah, that's [clears throat] not what Excuse me. H. It's kind of like when I watch the porn where I watch for the actual movie, not the porn, >> right? Yeah. Yeah. >> Like when I watch the Star Wars >> through the through the >> Yeah. Fast forward through the sex and >> Yeah. [clears throat] Get to the plot. >> Watch the story. >> Yeah. Find out what that sister got up to. >> Yeah. >> She was at school or wherever she was. >> That 30-year-old steps sister. [laughter] >> Well, no. I can't watch porn in Australia, so >> Oh, yeah. How's that going? I mean, you don't have to talk about it if you don't want to talk about it on the show. >> Has not changed my life at all.

>> VPN is what you're saying. Wink wink. >> Well, I have read an article that like VPN sales have gone up like 12,000%. And because it's just it's not just in Australia either. There's a few other there's states in America. >> Yeah. Yeah. And they've just pulled out of wink wink. [laughter] I don't think Hang on. pornhub.com to see what happens. It wants to know how old I am. I am 18 or older. >> Said that. >> What? >> You think a lot of stepsisters? >> I'm seeing a very strange AI video. That is very strange. I don't think I want to know what you're seeing at the moment. >> It's create your own AI [ __ ] And this

person seems to have created a Oh god, no. [laughter] That That's really [ __ ] weird. It's like a small p a small like woman. Not like a little person. Like it's a AI thing. So they've anyway, [snorts] >> but was it just a blocked block cuz remember when I checked last week, all I got was ads. So it's not >> right >> blocked blocked. It's just >> Oh, I don't get ads. My my I block ads at the house level in [laughter] this episode. So I I wouldn't get the ads. >> Yep. That's Yeah, that's all it was for me. >> That's okay. It's not, as I said, has not changed my life. But VPNs are making a lot of money. But there's I know that there's in America at the moment they're looking at um

>> trying to bring in laws about VPNs that just will not work for >> that. VPNs have to keep track of >> everything and stuff like that. And it's sort of like >> you don't understand how a VPN works. They'd never be able to do that. It's at the ISP level. >> Yeah. And like Yeah. >> Yeah. I mean, I was going to say defeats the point of it, but that's not they're not that's not an argument for them. They want the point of it defeated. >> Yes. >> So, >> yeah. >> Yeah. Defeat the point of it for for a lot of people. [clears throat] >> Yeah. >> I use a VPN to get into my house. That's like I have a VPN to my I have a little box downstairs. >> Yep. >> My Raspberry Pi. I VPN into here so that when I'm elsewhere, I can access my stuff. But I don't um I don't VPN for

any other purpose. >> No, I think a lot of people think VPNs do a lot more protection than they think. >> Yeah. Yeah. And also I think it like a gen a general internet connection is more secure than it used to be. Like it used a lot of times >> back many moons ago many moons ago [ __ ] am I [laughter] talking about? Uh it used to be that would they would say and this probably still is the case regardless even with a VPN if you're in Starbucks for example on the public Wi-Fi you are at some risk >> of things but I think I don't think a VPN a VPN might help but also just a secure website HTTPS secure connection to a website also counteracts a lot of that. The problem is that back in the olden days

>> a lot of websites weren't secure. So, >> no. >> And um now like if you go into your bank website, there's no way you you couldn't go to http colon sl >> no. >> Well, I even remember just back in the day when I got my first uh smartphone and I just be out and about and go, "Oh, I want to use Wi-Fi." And everyone's Wi-Fi was unprotected. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> But no, it's changed a lot over the years. And yeah, the only real reason you need a VPN is if you want to change your location for whatever reason. >> Yeah. And other than that, I think the security benefits of it are a bit overstated cuz people want to get your [ __ ] I think they can get around that. >> Yeah. And I know a lot of the sites now

they're selling it with like protection like we'll go out and we'll get your web your emails taken down from places and stuff like that. >> Oh yeah. Yeah. >> One thing that annoys me is they talk about we'll get it taken down from the dark web. H how the dark web is not going to go, "Oh, you sent me an email to take this down." >> Sorry, guys. >> Luke sent list his personal details anymore. >> Shut it down. >> Yep. >> Yeah. >> I find that I find that frustrating how they >> I get Do you get Is this Maybe this is just an American thing. I thought it was just me. It's not. Everybody here seems to be having this problem at the moment. Do you get scam phone calls in Australia? >> Yeah. Yeah. like multiple a day. >> Yep. [snorts] >> [ __ ] man. Like I get uh I've got the

thing turned on my phone now where it screens phone calls. Excuse me. Because I was blocking them, but then if like my doctor calls or whatever, >> I need to I need to get that phone call. So, >> what I'm worried about because I am blocking them like phone numbers. When I find out they're a scam, I'll go, "Yep, that was a scam." Block it. But what if that phone number becomes a real phone number in the future? >> Yeah. Because they churn them. And so yeah, exactly. It's such a [ __ ] pain in the ass. I get so many calls every day, like like two, three at minimum every day of just scam [ __ ] phone calls and it's like and at first I thought, what what's happened if has my number leap? I discussed it now and everybody gets them. >> Yep.

>> Apparently it's just become normal like >> Yep. And I answer them and I try and keep them on the phone as long as possible. >> I don't I Drives me nuts. I like I have the screening thing on. So my phone will say if if a number that isn't in my contacts calls me. >> Yep. >> My phone will without alerting me, answer it and say who are you and what do you want basically and then I'll see if Matt's available and um and then so I get a little message that pops up and says someone's calling you. Tap here and then I can see what they said. >> Yep. >> Just ignore it. >> Yep. Mine comes up with like suspected scam and I can answer it or block it. I can probably set that up, but I always get an answer and then I'll try and talk to him as long as possible and then I'll

block it. >> I can't I can't be bothered with that. >> It's fun. Sometimes they get very angry. >> Yeah. Um, did we talk about the rehearsal already? >> Oh, we we talked about it, but you hadn't finished it at the time. >> I still haven't. I'm uh I'm nearly finished season two. >> Okay. >> Uh it's very good. >> I still want to hear what you think about the finale. >> Okay. All right. Oh, yeah. Cuz did we talk about we talk about the one where he's a baby? >> Do we talk about that? >> The what episode where he's a baby? >> No. God, I don't remember that one. >> You don't remember the episode where he's a baby? How could you forget that one? It's season two, right? Maybe I haven't seen season two. >> Oh, season one. I've seen the finale of

season one was where the kid thinks he's his dad. >> Oh, no. That's the one I I didn't want to spoil that cuz I I don't know. Like I think that is that his child? >> No. >> No. >> Okay. Cuz I really felt that that was leading up for him. That was a whole thing leading up for him to rehearsing for him meeting his child. >> No. >> Okay. No, >> that's just what I thought. >> That's just some kid that uh they hired as an actor whose dad left and now he cuz they rehearsed and stuff. The kids's like, "That's my dad now." And then Yeah. Nathan's like, "Um, no." [laughter] Yeah. >> I maybe remembered that very wrong then. I haven't seen season two, so I need to see that. >> Oh, yeah. Season two is good. Yeah.

It's like he's trying to improve airline safety and uh >> Oh god. >> No. No. It's that's such an interesting show cuz one of the things he talks about in the first episode is that like this is a serious thing and he actually wants to affect serious change to save lives, but he's a comedian and people don't take him seriously because why would they? And um and like there's a he does a funny bit where it's like his his example for this is like there's a car a clown that get it's this is a rehearsal one of his rehearsal things. A clown gets run over by a food truck and then and the clown is like help and everybody's just like [laughter] like laughing and and he's like this is what it's like be trying to affect change as a comedian.

>> It's very funny. All right. I have to go see season two then. And season 3 looks like it's been >> Oh, yeah. Doesn't surprise me. He's so funny. I also went back. You seen Nathan for you, right? The show. >> Yes. >> Where he does Oh, yeah. Where he did like the [ __ ] um ice cream or yogurt. >> Yep. Yeah. Yeah. And dumb Starbucks. And then But my favorite one is the that [ __ ] private detective that he hires. Do you know who the guy I mean who's like >> it's it's been a long time. >> He's this private detective and he's from Boston and he's like he's like you're the wizard of loneliness. Look at you in your pink shirt. The guy [laughter] just picking on him and he um [sighs] Yeah, it's such a good episode. Watch Nathan for you. Watch it. >> Y

>> I don't know how he doesn't break character. I think he's just a special kind of person. >> Like uh like I know people don't like Sasha Baron Cohen, but >> him as well. >> Like how Yeah, I know. But like I I understand that. But like the fact that he can do all that without laughing >> Yeah. >> is like >> incredible to me. >> Oh yeah. Evidently, season 3 of the rehearsal began filming in October last year. >> Oh, interesting. All right, >> that's according to Reddit. So, >> no, >> take it with a grain of salt. >> All right, I will take it with a grain of salt. Um, we've got some zombie movie news. I'm

going to put these in a different order. Uh, >> yeah. So, I've not seen The Bone Temple yet. I know you have. Ah, >> you liked it, right? >> Oh, it was great. >> Yeah. And we were talking about how uh it didn't do well. >> Yeah. The second one didn't do well. >> Yeah. So, there was some question of whether there would be a third one. And there has been a well an Instagram post by the actor who plays the kid um posted an Instagram post of them shooting arrows at targets and saying it's great to be back and everyone's like oh >> implication being >> it's happening. So, >> I really hope it does cuz I think I honestly think I read an article and I

do believe this part of the reason why the second one didn't do well is I think people cuz it was the Bone Temple as well. >> What it was. >> Yeah. That some people thought it might have just been a re-release or a like it's 28 years later like they like it's a re-release or a director's cut or something because it was so close together. >> Yeah. >> Only six months difference. So, >> yeah. Yeah. is the marketing failure. >> Yeah. >> Um, >> that means we might get Sillian Murphy back. >> Killian Murphy. >> Killian. >> Sillian. >> I'd [snorts] prefer Sillian. >> I'll let him know. >> Yeah. >> Um, yeah. So, that might be happening. That which would be good. I haven't watched the Bone Temple yet. I I should do that cuz I liked

>> Yeah. It's It's weird because you watch >> was weird to say, but yes, >> you watch the first one and then the ending is super strange. >> Super strange. >> And then it goes back to >> the tone. It goes back to normal. >> Yeah. I don't know what they I don't know what they were doing there. That's weird. >> Yeah. >> Whatever. >> Like they're still wearing the colorful tracksuits, but they're not as bright anymore. >> That's so weird. Like the Why was Yeah. Anyway, whatever. I wonder if has he ever commented on what the [ __ ] was going on with the ending? Why ending 28 years [clears throat] later like that? [laughter] The abrupt and bizarre ending of 28 years later is a jarring tonal shift designed to satarize early 2000s British

pop culture while serving as a deliberate pop-up for the next deliberate setup for the next film trilogy. Yeah, but >> okay. >> Yeah, I still don't get it. Yeah. Yeah. Odd. Um, >> but yeah, definitely watch it. >> Uh, are you you' be familiar with friend of the show, Uva Bowl? >> I am. >> Mhm. >> You've got his email address. >> I've got his email address. [laughter] I've emailed him a couple times. Uh, he's always been very nice. He's always been very nice. Um, he's back. He retired famously after having a massive [ __ ] rant on um on YouTube uh about how

>> Hollywood everybody in Hollywood's [ __ ] each other in the ass and laughing at us as we watch their stupid [ __ ] Marvel movies. Um >> which is a shame cuz I actually watched his movies. >> Yeah. I mean they weren't they weren't good, >> but you know, a for effort. Um >> they were different. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, he's a he's a funny guy, Hoover. Um, but he's back because apparently he found out um Paul WS Anderson, director of Resident Evil and uh >> Event Horizon and Soldier, he's done some good movies. He's done some shite. >> Yeah, >> he's doing a new adaptation of House of the Dead,

which Uber Ball famously did. I've seen two versions of House of the Dead. >> Which one's your favorite? Is it Hoover's? >> Well, no. I've seen two versions of his. >> Oh, of course. House of the Dead funny version is >> genuinely good. >> Yes. >> Like this is I don't I I don't know how even how to explain Uber to people. So, there's a Yeah. So, he made this adaptation of House of the Dead. The Yes. The arcade machine with the gun. >> Yep. >> He made a zombie movie. >> It was not good. It was not wellreceived. So he then Tommy Wizo style seems to have pivoted and said it was meant to be funny >> and the studio wouldn't let me do it funny. So he released House of the Dead funny version which just has like bloopers in the movie

>> cut in >> like so they'll lines or whatever and then it just does it a bunch of times while you're watching the movie. It's like >> really [ __ ] weird. weird scenes where they're sort of walking around with like blow up things and >> yeah, it's really weird. Uh >> yeah, >> like it is like it is funny. >> It's just weird. >> But you need to watch the original and then watch the funny version. >> And then if you put the director's commentary on, he just like [ __ ] takes phone calls and like and is just doing like it's it's so strange. Uh, I just Anyway, so he's he's gotten jealous, I guess, because he's found out Paul WS Anderson is doing >> a version of House of the Dead. >> So, he's come out now and he said he's

going to make an unofficial sequel to his House of the Dead movie and it's called, ready, >> 23 years later, The Castle of the Dead. [laughter] [gasps] >> Has it been 23 years since House of the Dead? >> [laughter] >> Yes. >> Excellent. I'm in. Make it. I will. >> 2003 was House of the Dead. >> So, yeah. >> Watch it. >> I I really really hope he does do this. >> Yes. >> Just because I don't know. He's just such an interesting person. Like, let him do it. Come on. >> Yes. It'll be worth it. I'm sure it will because for all the like, you know, everybody his movies aren't good. Everybody hates them, but they love to

hate them, you know? >> Like we all saw House of the Dead. >> Yes. >> And like, you know, Alone in the Dark was terrible, but we watched it. >> We watched it. >> Like, >> I don't know. do >> I mean the reason he got upset and quit was because no one would crowdfund >> his third [ __ ] Rampage movie. >> Yeah. Which >> which >> they're the ones I watch. >> You liked Rampage? >> I didn't watch Ramp I never thought. >> Right. That's what I'm saying. No one watched those ones. Right. Because they were Well, the problem with the Rampage ones is that they didn't have anything to do with the [ __ ] game. >> The game like >> that's what we were expecting. And then Yeah, exactly. So, yeah, I don't understand that. >> Yeah,

>> if he had made an adaptation of Rampage like The Rock did. >> Yes, >> we would have watched that. >> We watched that. So, I think Yeah, he he caused his It was his own fault that his movies weren't being watched because >> those particular ones. >> Yeah, he went away what he was doing. Well, >> yeah. Right. Far Cry. That's right. He did Far Cry >> cuz what's the rampage like more guns and stuff and >> yeah it was about a guy like a uh actually it was almost like postal um yeah rampage president down was uh it's about yeah guy who went nutso or something right and was like went on a rampage which is not what >> the game is the game about monsters like >> yes >> anyway

>> and you make movie edit adaptations of games. Stick with what you know. >> Anyway, the quote from the Hollywood Reporter article says, "Beping the plot of the new film under wraps, but he said 23 years later, we'll be set in a castle." Yeah. >> Oh, please. Please. >> Yeah, let him do it. >> I didn't know that he went in and just opened a restaurant after he retired. >> Oh, did he? I didn't know that either. Is it in Germany? Um, >> filmmaker turn restaurant. Yeah, I don't know. >> Ball restaurant. Baja restaurant. Upscale restaurant in where is this? Vancouver. >> I don't like this. Um, well, [snorts]

the person who wrote this article. Okay. >> Bald, a filmmaker turner who recently unfortunately returned to film making. No, let him. Not unfortunately. >> Do it. >> Yeah. Think what you will about him. He's interesting. >> Yes. >> I gotta say, and remember, you know what? I got to watch he did that Ashvitz film. >> Oh, yes. I avoided it because because it's Uverball and it's Hashitz and it's like >> it's not his wheelhouse a topic like that >> but >> I don't think he Yeah, it's not something I think >> I I was it was even like for me who likes bad movies it was a little bit like I don't know if I'm mentally ready for that. Yeah, the tone of this might

not quite be right cuz I know in Postal he talks about Nazi Gold and >> 2011 that movie came out. >> Oh, it's a docu drama. >> See, I've got to watch this. Okay, maybe it is more serious than >> I think it's c he certainly tried to be serious, but I remember at the time um it was panned because it was very graphic and um and he cast himself as a prison guard and stuff and everyone it bas from what I recall everyone was just like this is was this necessary to like to show all this like the way that you did cuz unlike I think um something like Shitless List which had a plot. I'm not sure this like well you know what his movies are like >> like it's just not um like what is the

point of it you know um [laughter] Hoover once said he would stop making films if people if a million people signed a petition that said he should stop and it got more than 360,000 people but not a million. >> Not a billion. [laughter] Yeah. So we can keep on going. >> So hopefully >> So the killing scenes were restricted to 20 minutes. >> What? >> Yeah, that's what I mean. He's just he's he's not a topic that he should be >> no >> making a film about. Like he's just not equipped, I think, to to tackle such a serious topic. >> No. >> Seemingly love I love you, Uber. If you're watching this, which you might be, it's Not impossible that he's

watching this. He is aware of us. >> I love you. But >> yes, >> don't try to make a serious movie like that. House of Dead 23 years later. [ __ ] yes. Make that movie. >> I will watch that. I will buy that day one cuz I don't know how it's going to be released. >> Yeah, >> cuz I don't know. I go to I would go to the movies and see it if I could. >> I would too. Yeah. This would be one of those special event things. Yeah. >> Speaking of which, uh I think we're going to go see Repo the Genetic Opera in uh in a theater. >> Oh, they're doing a re-release of that. >> Yeah. I think it must be an anniversary of it or something. >> Yep. >> That's a good movie. >> Yes, >> sort of. >> Yeah. It's been a long time since I've

seen it, but I remember enjoying it. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It's fun. Uh another movie that we don't really know what's happening with it is Avatar 4. So, we talking about how >> it looked like it wasn't going to get made and then it was looking like it was going to get made and James Cameron was saying, "Yeah, it's going to get made." And then now, uh, it's unclear at this point if it is. Um, so I guess not much of an update. >> No, but I'm telling you, like what if he does get the if he does get to make four, wrap it up. >> Yeah. No, >> wrap up the story. He's got that fifth one coming in the pipeline. >> But I still keep saying we could have he didn't need three.

>> James Cameron has said uh this week the plans for the next two films are very much uncertain at this time. So So he's gone back on >> Yeah. Because his last update was Disney's All In. They were making them back to back. >> Yeah. So, was he doing to Ryan Johnson? >> They're still making a lot of money. The I mean the the others what 1.5 billion the last one made. I feel like >> that's a lot. >> That's Well, they're making like a billion. They're making a billion. >> So, why the [ __ ] wouldn't they make the another one? >> Like, I don't really understand. >> Um biggest challenge It's too cost too much money behind the scenes. >> It's a long investment upfront. >> He says it could take as long as a year

or so to figure out how to make future films in the series in half the time for 2/3 of the cost. Okay. So, I guess maybe he's been told >> you need to reel it back cuz >> like even the third one, the the 3D which was the big thing of Avatar wasn't that good. >> Yeah. Actually, someone in the comments said the 2.9 billion that the first movie made in 2009 would actually be 4.5 billion today, which puts things in perspective compared to the 1.5 billion the last one made. So, we're talking about huge numbers, but when you look at inflation, like these are not making anywhere near the money that his first one did. >> The first one did. And it's getting smaller and smaller each time. And >> well people

>> running. Yeah. There's a lot of money up front for you don't know if you're going to how much you're going to get back. >> Yeah. Like >> I mean that's movie >> the third one was not good. >> Yeah. I know you've mentioned that. You said you told me don't bother watching it. I think >> no I can there's one scene you need to see it and you you're all set up for the fourth movie. >> I don't know man. Sometimes you don't pay attention. So >> there is that. >> Yeah. I don't know. that that that could be the case, but >> I was awake for most of it. >> Okay. Well, that's a good sign. Uh, where do we want to go next? There's a bunch of little movie things here. Let's go to this one >> because it's of interest to me in particular.

>> James Bond casting has begun. >> All right. So, you know, I've got two people I want to put forward. Two people. I know who one of them is. I think >> myself. >> Oh, okay. And Rahul. >> And Rahul. Rahul's more got more of a chance, I think. But I think he would make a great James Bond. >> I don't think either of you have much of a chance to be honest. No. Like, not because I wouldn't choose either of you. Obviously, I would. But, uh, I don't think I don't think they're going to go with you. No offense. Due to lack of experience. >> I got experience in acting. I not enough. [laughter] Oh, and again, it's not me. It's just what they're going to say. And I don't think they'll go with Rahul because that would be controversial. >> He's English.

>> He is He's British. Uh but he's not a traditional James Bond character. >> He's not white. >> Correct. >> Yeah. And while I would I would love for them to shake it up, but I don't think they will. I think that's too big a risk. They would think that's too big a risk for this. >> Yeah. I And they want to keep fans happy and not have them complain cuz no matter what they do, people are going to complain though. >> Correct. And unfortunately, that would be something they would complain about a lot. But also, from what I've heard, aren't they meant to be going for a younger James Bond this time?

>> Uh, I don't think they've been clear about that. I've heard I have heard that. I've seen articles that said that, but I don't know if that actually came from anybody at Amazon. So, it's Amazon doing it now. So, it used to be for many many many well for what 50 years of [ __ ] whatever. >> Yeah. >> It was owned by uh the Broccoli, >> which were relatives of um >> Ian Fleming, I believe, and they've just sold it all to Amazon now. they're not involved. And there was an article I read, >> uh, and you may have seen clips of this. >> Whenever they were auditioning a new Bond, they would have them do a specific scene with a character to see, um, because Bond has got to be able to do action, but also >> yes, >> romance and certain things. So, they

like to test them out. And now it's like, well, what's Amazon gonna do >> to find the new Bond? this just going to be some famous person >> or will they actually like be thorough? I know. I feel like for this I don't know. They've got to they've got to do a good job. Like they've got to look really hard and do it properly. Otherwise, people are just going to get the shits. >> I I really hope they go back to a little bit of comedy though. I know they won't, but >> I maybe I mean Denise Villu is doing this. He's not known as a comedian. >> No. >> So I have a feeling in fact if you've seen what's that movie? >> Oh god. What's the one with Hugh Jackman? Do you know the one I mean where the two girls get kidnapped?

>> Prison. Prisoners. >> I haven't seen that. >> There's nothing funny about it. Let's just say that. >> [laughter] >> It's [ __ ] intense. Uh, so, but it's very good. But it's it's very it's >> Yeah, it's about two two young girls get kidnapped and it's Jackman plays their dad and he goes off the [ __ ] rails trying to find these two girls to the point where Paul Dano plays uh handicapped person and Jackman's convinced he's guilty and just tortures him and it's [laughter] >> what you've got to it's it's a really intense movie. Okay, I might not watch that. >> It's good. It's got uh what's David domian in it. >> Well, maybe I will. >> He's good. Uh it's got Hugh Jackman. Jake Gyllenhaal plays a cop.

Uh it's very good. Anyway, oh, and Sakario, that's another good Sakario is another good D. None of these movies are funny though. No, >> but I'm actually just looking at the casting director and >> I don't know if she's got a good history. >> Really? >> Well, she's got the the Star Wars sequel trilogy. >> Okay. >> The Jurassic World films. >> Okay. But it's casting, right? >> The Martian movies. Oh, no. Maybe she does. >> She didn't write the movies. >> Yeah. >> Or direct the movies. >> Hot fuzz. You like hot fuzz? The hot fuzz was great. No, I'm taking it back. >> So, she knows Timothy is the best James Bond. >> I'm taking it back. Taking it back. Sorry. >> Maybe she'll get Timothy Dalton back. >> Timothy Dalton back. [ __ ] yeah. He gets to do that third movie he never got to

do. [laughter] >> And >> finally happening. >> So, I heard it here. >> I wish that had happened. I wish that had happened. Anyone who doesn't know Timothy Dalton, well, you probably know Timothy Daltton's James Bond in two movies, >> Living Daylights and License to Kill. He was supposed to do a third, but it got took too long, took so long for them to like decide what the [ __ ] movie was going to be. And there were legal disputes over um so, oh god. Uh there was a legal dispute based on Thunderball over whether who owned the rights to what and they you know like the James Bond movie stopped having Spectre in them for a long time because there was like this legal dispute or whatever and it all just tied everything up and it took so long that

Timothy Dalton was like I'm going to go do something else. >> Yeah. >> And he never did a third Bond movie >> which is a shame. >> That was his chance. And hopefully there won't be any more legal disputes now. It's all just been Amazon. You have >> Exactly. And they Yeah. They could just use all the money they've got to make all that go away. >> Yes. [laughter] if it does happen, you know, which is good question mark. Um, but yeah, everyone's like, "Oh, Timothy Dalton could have done Golden Eye." Um, and it wouldn't have been that because >> no, >> it wouldn't have been that movie. But that is interesting to think about because I really do think Timothy Dalton is the best Bond. >> But I I couldn't see him in Golden Eye. That is

>> No, no, no. That's what I mean. It would have been It would have been if if he had played Bond in that movie, it would have been different. And also >> they wouldn't have written that movie. >> No, because it would have been a different completely. >> Yeah. So, but that's what people say is that >> Timothy Dalton was supposed to be in Golden Eye, which No, but >> but look, they've started to search. We'll see what we get. We're still a few years away from it since they haven't even found out who's in the show in the movie yet. So, >> the script is uh done or in late stages. >> Yep. So, >> need to find a cast and >> Yeah. >> So, we're probably looking late 28, early 29, I'd say. >> Probably. Yeah, it's going to be a while. Well,

yeah. No, I They happen faster than I would expect. I know that's cuz I'm getting old. Like, for example, like Dune Messiah is coming out. >> Time actually goes faster when you're older than when you're younger. >> I know that. I know that. What I mean, what I mean is I don't know if it's actually that that they're making movies faster than I expect or if I'm getting old. I guess >> I think they're making movies faster, but they're making games slower. >> Yeah, games take a long time now. >> Like Fallout 5. There's We're not going to have Fallout 5. >> Have they even announced Fallout 5 decade? >> You just made that up. >> There is no Fallout 5, is there? that they they they have said they will be making it but it's coming after old Elder Scrolls. So Fallout 5 is not

coming until it's not coming this decade. >> They when did they announce Elder Scrolls 6? Elder Scrolls 6 announcement was 2018. >> Mhm. It's >> almost 10 years ago >> and we have no game. >> I mean I'm old now so it will be 10 years very soon. >> Yes. cuz time's just flying by. >> So that I think we'll get this decade, but that's it. Like Fallout 5 is going to be in 2030s. It's going to be in the 30s sometime. >> The Elder Scrolls 6. Okay. And this is from one year ago. >> The Elder Scrolls 6 announcement is now as old as Skyrim was when The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced. [laughter] It's funny. God. >> But yeah, know games are those types of

games just taking longer and longer and >> Yeah, of course. Yeah, because Yeah, people expect more and more >> and have you heard the story about cuz Obsidian they famously want made New Vegas and they wanted to be a hey like we'll make the off >> Yeah. >> thing I've read a story that they were basically pulled into a room after it was released and basically Messa sat there and told them everything they did wrong. >> Really? >> Yep. Well, it's egg on their face, I would think, but probably not >> cuz that game's [ __ ] awesome. >> It's great. I think it it didn't start off I think people were a bit criticized a bit at the beginning, but I I think it's grown to be everyone's favorite. >> Yeah, I think the things I don't like

about New Vegas are small. Like the different types of ammo. I felt like that over complicated things, but I can see why you would maybe like that. Just it's not for me. I don't >> want to manage things that much in games generally. Yep. >> Um, oh yeah, and wasn't there like there's wear and tear on weapons in a way that there wasn't in earlier ones, right? Or am I making that up? >> Maybe there is. There was wear and tear. >> Yeah, I can't remember those kind of things. I mean, I know you hate that specifically in Breath of the Wild. the >> Well, I hate it in Breath of the Wild because the weapons break so quickly, but in the break as quickly, you Yeah, >> you didn't have to have backup weapons for every fight. >> But as far as like plot and like the

game structure and everything, Fallout New Vegas is incredible. >> Yep. >> Like no notes, just great. >> Yep. >> Anyway, speaking of um incredible, you know what else is incredible? I am gonna say the multiple nergasm afterparty. >> We're going to keep talking and uh and if you want to hear us keep talking, you got to go to patreon.com/multiple nerdgasm. Um we've got a couple things to talk about in here. Uh we don't have any candidates for geek of the week. I don't need anybody. As far as I'm aware, no one has died. Uh or

Oh, you can kill the bug. >> I've had enough. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. The

bug. Yeah, the bug's going to be geek of the week. Yep. >> All right. So, join us in the afterbody. We'll see you there. >> Bye everyone. Love you. >> That's all for this week.
