0° okay 0 de yeah yeah don't like I don't like the Heat and I don't like the cold so I'd hate to be in your place and I'm not liking where I am now so that's yeah I'm I keep hoping it's going to snow but it hasn't yet I'm I'm really disappointed it it kind of how cold does it have to be for Snow Well about what it is like zero and less I think and it's just that there's no clouds right now I think it very nearly could have snowed the other day it just wasn't quite cold enough so okay but yeah I'm in Chicago cuz have you ever been anywhere where it's like starts to snow like the first snow no not the first snow cuz we've um you and I have been in in Boston and then in Rhode Island when it snowed a bit but it had already been snowing yeah uh where where we're headed

next it's already been snowing so that's I don't know I'm hoping it's going to snow tonight just so I can experience that first snow you know yeah yep but yeah yeah so we're in Chicago now we've been uh we've been on our road trip honeymoon having Adventures it's been fun done any hacking while you're there no no although this is the the not not the first time I've recognized places from a video game because I've done that in in Vegas and I went to DC after Fallout 3 but this is the first time where I feel like they've been pretty accurate like I think in this case they've been more accurate than than in other games like when just walking around the city here I'll see yeah sections where I'm like this is where I

got I talk to that guy down by the canal like this looks exactly the same it's pretty cool uh and it's a nice city I like it here I would recommend people come here okay yeah it's cool so what's there what's there to see well um there's a big Park uh Millennium Park which is where the bean is the giant bean if you look up giant bean Chicago you'll see what I mean it's supposed to represent a giant ball of liquid mercury and it is uh it's pretty cool it's a big shiny metal thing that you know when you look at it it reflects everything and once you get inside the underside bit of it it's a bit bit of a like one of like a Hall of Mirrors kind of okay so that's cool uh there's a lot of museums and stuff uh it's very it reminds me a lot of Sydney I think maybe that's why I

like it so much CU it's got a lot of parks and it's very kind of you know clean and uh I I think I've seen different areas of Sydney than what you're talking about why what areas are you talk what do you think of when I say Sydney traffic rude people really okay well everyone here is very nice so far that's actually that's not true at all like certain people I've inced have been very nice I'm sure there's probably rude people here too there's rude people everywhere you still got to find them and if you can't find them it means it's probably you maybe it is me yeah but who was rude to you no one oh well then what's the problem well no there there was some rude like taxi drivers and stuff oh yeah okay I haven't caught a taxi here but I caught the train uh and they're all

really polite everyone on the train the the trains are weird here though right I feel like we're a bit spoiled in Australia in general well Sydney in particular that's where I spent most of my life but you know when you catch a train and you get to the station and there's like nowadays there's screens that tell you when the train's coming what is where it's going to stop you know you know what how long it's going to take to get to where it's going all that kind of jazz like yeah that information is available to you well here when you get to the train station there's kind of Bits of Paper stuck up that have the timetable which is kind of like an approximate time for when there might be a train coming

through oh and in a lot of cases uh in particular the train station that's near here it doesn't have a ticket window and it doesn't have ticket machines or anything so you can't actually buy any tickets at the station and it says on the thing so where would someone get a ticket well you can buy them on the train however and this is where it starts to get a bit weird right cuz then the train will pull up and every now and then there'll be an announcement that says Ah the Train's a bit late or whatever so you you kind of know what's going on but not really so the trainer pulls up and then you get on and they actually have like per Carriage although they call them cars here a guy one of the trained people laughed at me for calling it Carriage he asked me if I

was from Europe and I said do I sound like I'm from bloody Europe mate yep I was right you are the rude one yeah it's probably true and then you can buy the ticket from them but if if you got on at a station where there is a ticket machine they'll charge you $5 extra apparently that's the thing but per per train Carriage there's like three or four people who have to be on the train to sell people tickets to check the ticket tickets to [ __ ] around like it's just it all just seems a bit a bit backwards and when you're on the train there's unless you I guess when you unless you ask one of these human beings you've got no way of knowing where you are or what stations next or anything like it's just all very old school you know that's really

strange cuz I've been on trains like a few places in America and never anything like that where where have you caught I mean we CAU a train from uh mainly Boston yeah we called train from Boston to prob but that was only one stop it didn't stop anywhere like you could you couldn't really get it wrong you know like it was get on the train and then next time it stops get off the train but remember there was that guy with a little uniform that that helped us onto the train cuz you uh yeah and he was selling tickets that's right well that's what that's what they have they have a bunch of them on there I don't know it's just it's a bit weird it must be something that they're not upgrading because people are upset about losing jobs and stuff well I

I wonder if CU I I know you know everyone drives a lot here I think maybe just people don't catch the public transport very much cuz there's actually not that many people on the train to be honest that's why I was like it's so are you going a peak hour or all uh we we've been on a peak hour uh in the afternoons and like yeah there's like people on the train but not not like Sydney like it's not not very busy people just drive here I think but then I thought it was I don't know it's just strange that there's that many people like working on the train without when there's only so many people catching the train you know yep I don't know it just seems inefficient to me but you've um yeah because I got excited today when I said oh I'm in Chicago we could talk

about that and then you said you were playing Watch Dogs too and I was like oh that's great that's going to tie that's going to tie in so wonderfully because watch dogs were set in Chicago but uh yet no Watch Dogs 2 is set in San Francisco right well I have been there but recently but um you know what tell me about the game anyway how is it cuz I'm I'm Keen to play it did you ever play the first one yeah I did I played a fair bit I liked it the second one is better okay yeah you see a lot of people didn't like the first one I kind of did I didn't mind it too much um one thing I think's greatly improved on it there was a lot of car chases in the first one yeah and you're all pretty much every 2 minutes you're being chased by the police yeah not so much in this

game okay cool yeah that wasn't that wasn't my favorite aspect of it yeah the driving doesn't really play a big part in it okay more hacking more hacking the hacking's fine it's still one button and I've hacked your computer and I now have all your information yeah but yeah the characters are a lot more interesting this time okay I think that was a big people had to complaint the first one that Aiden Pierce was just boring yeah right yeah now you play sort of a young hip star and part of a cool group crew that goes around hacking stuff together okay and you like get caught up in some kind of conspiracy and things quickly spiral out of control trying to take down the man ah that old the man who wants to know everything

about us interesting well see that's what the that was kind of the promise of the first one and this one just seems more fun is it less repetitive cuz I guess that was a big complaint with the one and even I thought after a while okay this is just the same stuff over and over again is it bit more going on it is it is a little bit more but I think they varied up enough this time okay and there's not as much combat this time either the whole thing is that the idea is that you don't kill anyone in Canon for the story is Marcus who's the guy you play he doesn't he doesn't kill anyone ever no we'll see choose to kill people if you want but yes you can get guns and you can run around killing everyone but

Cannon for the story is Marcus doesn't kill anyone okay well so like if you do they'll just pretend that you didn't or oh yeah the game just continues on like if you choose to have your character kill everyone that's fine but the story is he doesn't wait what I mean like the story is in like if they're writing a book about it all right the novelization he doesn't kill anyone but if you choose to run around killing everyone that's fine it's not going to stop the game and go no you can't do that and reset or anything like that so it's not like so it's not like you you kill somebody and then he keeps going I've never killed anybody no no okay not like that but yeah I'm just running around with a stung gun for the entire thing so have you not murdered a single

person uh I've killed people but I haven't murdered anyone right self-defense there have been there have been people who have um see I've been driving and I might be overtaking someone and that overtake might take me onto the foot path right and there just happens to be someone there and yeah but they might have pulled through I don't know if they died I just kept driving so they could still be alive yeah they might have pulled they didn't oh did you visit them in hospital at least did you send flowers can you do that in the game there was no hospital it was just basically hearing over the radio that someone had killed straight to the morg I just kept driving yeah but I I recommend giving it a try yeah okay I I'm when I get back off this trip uh

that it's on my list although it's still going to be like I don't know a month or so so Microsoft need to bring back the thing where I can share my games they do that would have been great and I could just play it whenever I can cuz I've nearly finished it yeah right how long how many hours came out oh quite a few hours so far um I don't know I have to check but um I played it all day yesterday mhm all day today oh I'm probably a good 20 25 hours in okay well and I'm doing like most of the Side Stories as well cuz I love doing them yeah there's one where you like drive around you're an Uber driver so you check your app and you go pick people up and you drive them around

then there's another on there like your Instagram so you've got the challenge to go around and get photos and all of the landmarks that are around there you know you could just become a Uber driver I have thought about it h you uh I do like driving you don't have a black car though you have to have a black car still no they used to have a rule where was it you had to have a black car apparently that used to be a rule maybe it's not anymore I don't know okay no no in um cuz most of Ubers I've been in haven't been black I know in Australia okay you got to do your criminal check and you have to have a four-door car and it has to be a newish car like I think can't be more than 5 years old or something oh okay it's really funny with Uber there's

different laws there's different rules for it everywhere right yeah I know well I mean in some cities it's still illegal I think I know in CRA it's legal yeah don't know about the rest of Australia I know some places over here they have trouble with it it's that that Airbnb like just one I guess they just have to try and figure all that [ __ ] out still it's a whole new world I think the is great it just means that taxi drivers can maybe lift their game yeah well they're going to have to cuz people don't people aren't using them anymore yeah because I don't like getting in a taxi where the guy treats me like crap and yeah I know Uber so far every Uber that I've been in has been a better experience cuz they're all there trying to keep their raining cuz if your

raining drops too low they just get rid of you yeah exactly yeah it's more pressure on them to not be [ __ ] yeah I've got in for a 5 minute trip and they gone Water gum yeah yeah so like I'm giving you $2 yeah can you tip in Uber probably not in Australia you people don't no you can't um the other driving one are lift oh yeah you canp lift you can tip Uber you can't tip well if if people want to come to Chicago I recommend you check it out um you should eat some deep dish pizza while you're here that stuff is really good have you ever had deep dish pizza not from Chicago which is like where it's that's the place you're going to get deep this pizza that's where you get Chicago that's why we did we went to a

place called Panos and uh and we got it and I got to say I was a bit skeptical because you know it's it's kind of you know the sources is on the top it's a bit weird and uh I got to say it was it was [ __ ] delicious like I'm a a convert we're going to try and buy a deep dish pan to make this stuff no no no it was really good we actually we asked the waiter where we could get the pans and he was like I don't know one place that we went to we've been to a few places uh on the way here that would been pretty interesting uh one was Detroit which I'm sure listeners have heard of and seen in the film RoboCop so you managed to get in and get out without being shot we did and and I was going to say if I said Detroit to you what would you what would you think if I

said I was going to Detroit what would you say don't get shot what have I told you uh based on my very limited experience Detroit is actually very nice no I only know Detroit from Robocop and lots of people get shot there so that's all I know of Detroit Detroit's weird right because uh I think I spammed you with messages when I was researching all this stuff cuz when I got there right we we were surprised cuz yeah cuz it is actually very nice in certain areas Midtown and downtown Detroit is actually really really nice except it does have this thing where it used to be a long time ago the most populated and Wealthy city in the US and then after all the car industry moved

elsewhere they actually just lost more than 50% of the population and so this sounds silly and I until I saw it myself I didn't quite believe it but like one in three houses I just completely abandoned like so every second or third house on a street is just abandoned and it's really weird it's really weird like we went to this area called um brush Park and their Mansions very wealthy people lived here but then they lost all their money or the job or whatever and they couldn't pay for the house so they left and so you've got like these big mansions one's really nice cuz people still live there and next door it's like it's collapsing in

on itself you know like a derelict kind of thing you'd see you know you expect to see it in some kind of really poor area so it's really fascinating so are these houses for sale or anything or well they wouldn't they couldn't sell them the way they are they'd have to be done up but no one's got the money to do it and and that's the one thing that I read cuz I I was like what the [ __ ] is going on like this is it's really weird and we we like we didn't encounter a single issue everyone was really nice downtown's really nice it's kind of like a mini uh mini New York but except with less people that's the other thing too it's it's it's it's not busy or kind of rushed like New York is cuz the population is smaller and I looked it up and they said

that it actually it's got the highest uh overall crime rate in the United States but Midtown and downtown actually have one of the lowest crime rates for for a major city it's just that the bad areas of Detroit are so bad that they skew the results so wow they have to be really bad to be screwing that much we decided not to find out for ourselves but yeah we um we had a really good time and then Jenna actually wants to move there now so that's going to be fun did a nice spot or a bad spot to the well she wants the brush Park so that she can take photos of all the abandoned mansions while we live in a mansion which probably we won't have to pay very much money for it's very interesting and then uh after that on the way to Chicago we stopped uh in a town called Gary which

is famous for uh it's the birthplace of Michael Jackson it's okay there's a a very big beautiful abandoned church that that's why we went there to take photos of it and uh we discovered after left that it actually has the the highest homicide rate in the United States and don't ever go there like don't ever ever go there if you think it might be interesting I mean it is but don't it was [ __ ] terrifying so that you made a little bit of a mistake going there I have never experienced that that like I've never felt so unsafe like I I'm not joking I've never like we pulled off the highway and I was cuz I didn't she just said oh there's this man in church I want to take some photos of it and I was like okay cool we pulled off the highway and I was like um

are we okay and you're just cruising down there in your BMW and uh like I'm not joking everybody was staring at us and we stopped so that she could take photos of um of like it's like again it's you know in Detroit I said every you know second building is abandoned uh just 90 90% of the buildings here are abandoned except still occupied by people and so we pulled over so she could take some photos and then she came back on the car was like yeah let's just go and so because people were just people just staring at us and uh I don't know it's you decid not to hang around there for a couple of days yeah and luckily it was the middle of the day so it was I

[ __ ] I'm [ __ ] so glad it wasn't like night cuz [ __ ] that and then uh we found where the church was and there was like a school nearby uh so there a lot kids around and there was actually a policeman there kind of directing traffic and so I was like oh this is probably the safest place we could be here right now so we got out so we got out and took a few photos and then got in the car and then left but like [ __ ] me don't have go there so the first thing you I thought of when you said Gary was Fallout 3 and the fall just full of gares I don't remember that don't know why I went there no it's just it's just a really poor area and and like I said it's got the highest homicide rate in the US which I didn't know when I went there otherwise I probably wouldn't have

gone in the first place but um yeah [ __ ] hell so Chicago now where to next uh well we're going to try we're going to head over to Milwaukee next uh and I'm not going to say what we're going to try and do because it it is is getting into winter here and the snow and such is maybe going to shut down a few places but you'll just have to wait and listen next week to hear what we actually were able to to get to very interesting I don't want to I don't want to it's a secret no it's not a secret it's just I'm I don't want to say in case oh it's a secret it's a secret listeners he's keeping secrets from us it's a secret or it's a surprise it's a yeah it's both it's a secret surprise okay um did you read my

favorite news article this week it's in the spreadsheet there at the top I'm just grabbing it now oh yes I have heard about this Julia hange has g a bit crazy cuz they shut off the internet well I don't know if he's g a bit crazy or if his cat's gotten a bit busy so I I love this article it's basically okay the headline is Julian Assange Cat Spotted wearing shirt collar and tie as authorities quiz him at Embassy and I like the implication that maybe they were quizzing the cat the way that's working but no and all but I mean I just and listeners click on the link and look at the photos it's adorable but I just love to imagine this big press conference where everyone's trying to everyone's talkinging and then

someone looks over and then they start patting each other on the shoulder and pointing cuz everyone's focusing on this [ __ ] cat in the window wearing a wearing a collar and a tie it's adorable a which I was allowed to dress our cats up you're not allowed I'm not allowed to animals shouldn't wear People's Clothing is that actually a rule in your house yes like I don't agree with the rule it's been stated that animals should not wear human clothing in your house yes what did you try and have them wear in order to have why was the rule in like placed well I forget why the rule was brought in I think this is I one to dress someone up in Princess layer outfit someone one of the cats one of the cats

yeah and then okay interesting yeah I was told no well we we don't have such a rule so I'm hoping we'll get atlas a little shirt and tie tie yeah I think he needs a tie yeah just for important occasions yeah we've actually got kittens at the moment wait what well we don't actually have kittens there's a cat that comes and visits us every now and again yeah well she's got a bit fat you mean pregnant and then she got really skinny right and then today we found out yeah it's because she's had some kittens where are they they they were in our shed out the back there's four kittens not sure where they've gone now oh no well they just escaped they're old

enough that they're walking oh well they haven't escaped that's not our cat yeah but they're in your shed well they were I don't know where they've gone now all right fine they're about four weeks old a they're really cute but we don't know what to do with them we apart from watch them leave but I thought they were making home in the shed yeah so we left them there cuz we don't want to be around and the mother cat doesn't like me oh and then we went in then we went out I went out bit early get the lawn mower out so I can mow the lawn and they were gone H abandoned you yep maybe they learned that they weren't allowed to wear human clothes on the property and they just decided to [ __ ] up ah yep it's probably what it was

I'll put some food out for them later cuz I feed her every now and again okay I know I shouldn't but I think she lives somewhere here in the street but I can't work out where but we're thinking of taking it to rspc cuz this is the second lit she's had since we've been here feed her her tracking device then you can figure out just yep or like an old phone just crunch up an old phone and then put in with the food and just you and then just fly my phone yeah and then just use find find my phone yeah okay I can do that I'm sure it'll work uh so you're not on Facebook anymore right really um I have a Facebook yeah but you don't go on there very much I don't go on mine very much no not much at

all yeah people do though apparently and most people get their news on Facebook which I I don't know yes unfortunately but it seems there's this kind of epidemic at the moment of uh fake news uh people are actually spending more time reading fake news than they are actual news and it's apparently a big problem and they're actually talking about how uh it's it's had a lot to do with you know the recent election here and and with people's knowledge and and understanding of world issues and stuff like that uh and there's actually a big movement apparently a secret underground movement at Facebook to try and do something about all the fake news articles and when I I say fake news articles I don't mean the hilarious

websit we talking like the onion no see the amount of times you see someone post something from an onion and they believe it is quite scary well see I think that's that that is part of the problem but the other thing is too there's this article I've put in here it'll be in the show notes um there's a gentleman uh by the name of Paul Herer he makes more than $10,000 a month writing fake news on Facebook that that people have been sharing like during the election he was just sharing like literally just fake news he would just make [ __ ] up uh and he says that he was doing it as kind of a a a satire to show that people will just share anything but I mean he's also making $10,000 so the the bottom falls out of that argument a little bit but yeah so that he's not checking anything

like there's an article here that says uh Donald Trump protester speaks out I was paid $35,000 to protest against Trump's rally okay and he just made it up uh and I remember hearing something that and they're saying like people like that have actually maybe have affected the votes and things right and and I mean it's probably somewhat true and and kind of a little scary I mean and it doesn't really matter what it's about the fact that people are doing this is kind of disgusting and the fact that no one's checking factchecking this stuff like and this the stats like uh 44% of Americans rely on Facebook to get all of their news they don't check news anywhere else anymore

and more and more the the the articles that they're reading or they don't even reading they're reading the headlines the headlines they're reading are actually just made up yeah because they're not actually reading the Articles they read the headline because right and even well I mean even even if they read it it's still fake so people at Facebook are so concerned about it that they're they've been meeting and discussing ways to do something about it so but yeah t one cuz well it shouldn't be a tough one just [ __ ] fact check what you're reading like people annoy me yeah don't don't don't believe stuff that's on Facebook and and Facebook should not be your place to get news I understand the irony of me saying that on this podcast where

we sometimes intention we don't fact check everything yeah but sometimes it wouldn't be as fun if we did so yeah but we also don't tell people to believe us like a um not that um they they know we're joking yeah yeah yeah I mean this is a this is a comedy podcast you shouldn't get you shouldn't relying us for actual world news in fact most of the time we we avoid that stuff completely because we're not we're not qualified to discuss that stuff no we're not good at it we don't understand but we just talk about stuff we like exactly and on that note you want to talk about movies for a bit yes in exciting news somebody that you and I have seen naked is going to be in the new Han Solo movie is it me well that would be that would be a nice T of events as well but no I'm

talking about Amelia clar and I when I say we've seen a naked I don't mean on Game of Thrones I mean Luke and I have actually physically in person seen her naked uh in a play yeah s Breakfast at Tiffany's that's right and she's now going to be in the Han Solo movie I don't know who she's going to play um and I mean she's fine I guess um like as an actress she's fine what was she like in the um Terminator movie cuz I never saw that yeah I didn't bother watching it I it was very good yeah so I mean that does cuz I haven't actually seen anything she's in apart from the play oh you haven't even seen Game of Thrones I've saw a little bit of Game of Thrones but it didn't catch my glory so I didn't really pay attention

so okay no she's she's good she's good I mean she's good in Game of Thrones and uh I haven't seen her in ter have I seen her anything else I don't think I've seen her anything else but uh um with her being in the house she could still play a love interest I don't know if he needs those cuz he I reckon he'll get get on with someone probably we well the good thing is we only have to wait till next year yeah no 2018 what's next year 2017 is next year Luke what's coming out oh next year 2017 is right uh episode 8 2017 is the Star Wars 8 and then the year after okay yeah yeah I got a bit of ahead of myself well

I forgot Rogue one's not out yet yeah can't wait only a few weeks well while we're talking about Han Solo Han doing it uh did you see this here that uh apparently Carrie Fisher's new book new Memoir the princess so going to be reading what's that I'm so going to read that book yeah I'm going to read it too apparently um I I love car fish sure I do too and but and and you I don't know how true this is or not but she's claiming in the book apparently that while they were filming uh a new hope she had an affair with Harrison for evidently it last like 3 months or something yeah so he was married at the time and he had two kids and uh I mean he's obviously they got they've been divorced and he's he's remarried since then but yeah cuz I think the affair

she's saying happened in 76 and I think he got divorced in 79 yeah so she was 19 and he was 33 uh and she's saying yeah it was it was a very intense um relationship and they they first spent a night together after a birthday party for George Lucas so yeah uh evidently she had a few drinks and he decided to take her home y well make sure she got in okay well she was a hotti back then she's a hottie now yeah yep I still will not turn down carry Fisher you would no would not wait what I would not turn down carry Fisher oh okay sorry the connection cut

out that that's that's basically the gist of what I thought you were saying yeah what about what if what if she said to you all right this is going to happen but Gary gets to watch Gary's a dog isn't it yeah Gary's a dog yeah yep not not Gary the not Gary the whole town that Jenner and I went to the other day where we thought we were going to die not the Vault full of Clone gares so Gary the Dog no Gary the Dog well maybe all of them all the gares as long as they're just watching okay all right fine Luke doesn't stuff he' back me back me up interesting to see what Harrison Ford has to say about this if anything well that's the thing from what I've seen he hasn't compens on it yet

and I doubt he will why would I wouldn't say anything either just leave it yeah that's the easiest thing to do mhm oh it's available now no November 22nd it comes out yeah see I I mean this is a bit of uh bit of marketing for it obviously people are going to want to read the details so yeah so it's only 10 bucks on Kindle yeah probably worth checking out I mean she's interesting um I'm sure she's had somebody assist her with the writing so it's probably a good read no no she's a writer oh is she pretty sure yes oh I mean she's she's WR this Wishful drinking oh yeah okay um not Carrie Fisher Postcards From The Edge I think

she's written all of these okay but not with a Ghost Rider I'm pretty sure it was her okay and in other science fiction news uh apparently have you seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet the original one yeah the first one first one of course that was a great movie yeah cool I thought so uh apparently James G has uh said that there's still a big big Easter egg in Guardians of the Galaxy that is that no one has discovered and uh people have have said oh no no we found all of them he said no no no the actually there's a big one that no one's discovered and then people said oh no no he's full of [ __ ] so he actually said that if um someone can prove that it doesn't exist which is a weird weird thing to prove uh he will actually give them

$100,000 yeah is there any clues as to what the Easter egg might be well no I don't know uh I I don't really know I mean I'm not even sure what the other ones like all of the other ones are I assume it's something from the comics uh but yeah I wouldn't know what it was but yeah he uh he said that this could it be something from his other movies yeah go that again could be could be something from yeah super or um tromeo and Juliet did she tromeo and Juliet I'm pretty sure he did huh didn't know that but yeah yeah I think that's where he started doing troma movies huh okay [ __ ] I watched tromeo and Juliet a long time ago I I was like the [ __ ] was a weird movie um yeah director's Lloyd Kaufman and

this in but I think we have to discuss it which one liveaction Minecraft h i how I don't how is that going to be a thing I don't understand how how they can do this like they did The Telltale Game yeah which that's still Minecraft so it's still that sort of better graphics in the actual game but there was a story to it and it worked but I don't know how you can have live action and people Mining and building stuff see and this article too it frustrates me a bit because it says I don't play Minecraft but I think there's a good chance this adaptation could be really fun and entertaining what the [ __ ] based on what there's no there's no what was The Telltale Game about even um that's the thing like tell was just a

story set in the Minecraft universe that you play uh person Jesse and you want to become a good Builder you're entering competition then the world Goes to Hell and you save it what do you mean the Minecraft un it could be anything just in the Minecraft Universe do there's no law or they created the law and that's the thing if there's no law when you're going in to make something you create it okay but if but in that case the only thing that exists is the the look right so so if this is a liveaction film right and starring Steve Carell as the article States and basically the they're like okay the

premise is that you're in a world and then we just make up the plot that's that could be [ __ ] anything yep yeah don't get me wrong I don't think this is going to be good I just don't see Minecraft as being something to make a good movie I still think they should make the Halo movie I don't know why they haven't but exactly if they're going to make this [ __ ] why can't you make a Halo movie at least Halo's got a story I just don't I really don't understand I mean okay I this could be a good movie or it could be a bad movie I have no idea cuz I like saying that there's going to be a live action Minecraft tells me nothing I really think that they should maybe before just show us what it's going to look

like yes just one scene of what they're thinking yeah and what is it going to be about I don't understand someone has to build stuff to save the world like is he going to get stuck like is he Steve Carell is going to wake up and then be like the [ __ ] where am I and he's going to be in the middle of nowhere and there's going to be no one else in existence uh and then he's going to have to survive zombies and spiders and [ __ ] at night like what yep okay well I had been wrong about adaptions before like The Lego Movie yeah when I heard that announced that was going to be ridiculous yeah and I was wrong on that one but then other ones that they've announced and have come out like Battleship that was terrible

yeah yeah I just yeah I have no idea aren't they still talking about um asteroids and Space Invaders happening still probably they're probably trying to to get that off the ground they'll make it that's the thing these days uh I think screenwriters are probably trying to pull that [ __ ] cuz they know that they won't pay for anything that's not an existing franchise so if they can attach their idea to some other thing they can get it made you know well remember that pixels movie that came out a little while ago yeah that was terrible but I think that could have been a good movie yeah probably if they had based on more recent games probably could have been cuz I think their target audience for that was a PG movie TOS families

yeah but how many small children do you know that are running around playing Pac-Man uh not many none few To None I know I still play Pac-Man but I've got I'm addicted to achievements and I have do have memory of playing it when I was younger but no one's going to run out to play Pac-Man now you play Pac-Man on XBox One of course H there's a couple of Pac-Man games on it okay like a Xbox arcade yeah H but yeah the Pacman 256 and yeah you and your achievements were just reminded me um indirectly you were looking to get a new phone correct at some point yes what yes what decision did you make I'm

going to be getting the LG G5 okay cuz Jenna got one yesterday okay uh and the reason she got one yesterday is because her G4 developed an issue that apparently all of the LG G4S well not all of them but many many many of them develop which is like a boot loop issue and it's some kind of yes when guy I work with he's he got one and his partner got one and his partner had that issue yeah okay apparently it's not something that can be fixed they actually just have to replace the whole phone except hers was at a warranty and we bought it in Australia and we bought it in Australia from kogan who got it from Korea and so it was going to be a lot of hoop jumping to get it fixed if if they would even fix it uh so she got a G5 but then she was looking

today and apparently the G5 sometimes has the same issue so hopefully that's not going to come up but otherwise it seems like fingers crossed it seems like a nice phone yeah that's i' I've liked my G3 yeah no I knew basically soaked it in water pretty much was a water or Jin uh What uh I was riding home and it was in my pocket and it was just pouring down with rain oh [ __ ] and now the top of the screen just doesn't work which if you used to G3 the top of the screen's really useful Yeah well yeah yeah Hannah needs a new phone cuz her's broke I'm like I can pick two up for under a thousand yeah so I was looking at the new Google pixel yeah yeah I have a friend who has one of that's like $100 yeah a friend has one he only got it recently though so I don't have a super

detailed uh review from him yet but but yeah I'll just stick with LG I've got like it'll go easy better with my watch and mhm I'm a fan of LG yeah good product a reasonable price sponsor us I'm going to stick with the iPhone but uh yeah well she yeah she got she enjoys it and I thought i' mention it because I knew that you were looking to get one so cuz the the good thing about the their cameras are really good on them H like that's that's a big selling point for me is how good the camera is yeah even though I very rarely take photos well this one's got uh it's got two cameras I don't know have you seen it's got actually got two lenses I guess and it can do extra wide shots which is it's pretty cool so we I attended the uh Christmas tree lighting ceremony here in

Chicago actually the other day I didn't talk about that yet okay and uh given that this is the city that Tim Burton based his Gotham City on in the Batman films I thought it was kind of funny to be attending a tree lighting ceremony um cuz if you recall that's what they do in Batman Returns sadly the um Miss Gotham pageant winner wasn't thrown from a building and you know onto the button that lit the tree oh yeah I know it's disappointing a a maybe next year maybe next year did you cck on this um click click click. click website I did bit creepy right yeah I'm I'm trying I'm only up to 25% of all the achievements I'll tell you what's especially creepy about it is that um I actually have uh ghosty enabled which is

a little plugin it's like a browser plugin that is supposed to disable you know ad tracking and various odds and ends uh and MH this website click click click doclick still is still able to track a kind of disturbing amount of information about what I'm up to so what this is is it's kind of a demonstration of what a uh a website or even just you know when you go to a website and there's a bunch of ads all all over the page and people always say oh they TR they track information about you through the ads and everyone kind of poo poos that a bit and says oh you know what could they possibly know well this kind of demonstrates what they know and what they can assume based on the information that they have and what I mean is it's

stuff like uh when you click on this and you first open the page it'll tell you it kind of gives you a summary of everything that you're doing while you've got it open and it'll it can tell you picture of track a record of where the mouse is how long it was in a certain spot so if you're on a page and you hover over an ad because you want to look at it a little bit closer they know what you're doing yes and again like this could be an ad that's embedded in the page it can still do this so and and then they know things like um it can tell what browser you're using what time it is where you are based on your time zone and it makes assumptions based on that saying oh you're at work right now looking at say multipl nerdgasm

kind of thing and uh it can also tell uh when I went to it the first time it said you've been to X number of websites before you clicked on this in this browser window and like just certain things that's like [ __ ] it shouldn't know that you know it's just kind of creepy that it can figure that out especially because I'm blocking a lot of stuff and it's still able to figure out things that I don't like so yeah I'm one it's people who just lives in ignorance and doesn't care no I know most people do and again it's it's probably fine but I don't know it's just a little I just really wish that if they were getting all this information about me they would Target the ads better so you don't find that you get like ads for you know like like for example when

when coming up to the wedding obviously we were buying a lot of you know wedding related things on Amazon and and signing up for gift registry things and all that kind of stuff and I just I just all the ads were just for wedding related [ __ ] like I mean and that seems like an obvious example and and it is but sometimes it's more subtle than that too like if I've been on comixology uh looking at Comics I see a bunch of comic ads all the time no no I like I do get like I've got lots of ads for Virgin um lot I get a lot of computer games there but then I'll get like car and Insurance ads and I'm sort of like no do you have car insurance yes well there you go I don't your car does I don't there you go maybe they know that but I don't have a

that she's been playing and she's just great she's she's old lady she starts every video uh with hey grandkids that's her catchphrase and she's got 4.1 million video views now and um maybe we can get her a few more because yeah her name's Shirley and uh and she's great I imagine that's what uh your planning to do when you're 80 years old Luke yep well maybe 60 I'm not I'm not making 80 maybe 60 how how where do you reckon you'll make it to I I hly think maybe 60 yeah yeah which is sort of oh crap that's really depressing why cuz you passed halfway yeah I'm like 2/3 way through my life well very sad well be optimistic

maybe you'll make it to 70 and then uh still halfway I'm never going to get I've worked it out I'm never going to get to retire what the retirement age for me is 75 75 yep that's old yes how come is that just why old we have to go into the details but there just the nature of your job is that no no that's just a retirement age in Australia now 75 when did they put that up while ago a couple years ago [ __ ] hell it depends on when you how old you are I thought it was 65 and then they put up to 68 now it's 75 no I'm pretty sure it's up to 75 now [ __ ] me all right oh yeah I'm pretty sure I'm in that bracket that's 75 H all right well man I might not get to retire at

BioShock 2 I think I found that a lot more interesting okay you you enjoyed it more yeah I haven't actually I really did I think I haven't played all of BioShock 2 I don't think no I haven't I definitely haven't I just really like it especially cuz when you try and find like all the recordings and stuff and you just hear how the place went to hell and yeah so yeah I haven't played infinite yet the remake of infinite so I might do that after Watch Dogs 2 I'm pretty Keen to check out infinite again because and I've talked about this on the show before but for new listeners I didn't enjoy it because you and I were actually over here in America when it came out and everybody else had played it and then we wanted to discuss it so I kind of just had to like plow through

it I'm actually thinking about this playthrough um because I felt sometimes the combat combat just dragged on a bit yeah yeah I agree I'm actually thinking about just throwing it down onto easy so I can just get the story get through the combat quickly and get the story yeah yeah I'll probably do the same well another game that I want to play when I get back to Dishonored 2's out and apparently it's really good also definitely it's not doing well in sales as well oh huh okay it's gotten good reviews that's weird H like I I haven't even picked that one up yet cuz I've got far too many games to play at the moment but you will it's getting a bit ridiculous it's got all those achievements in there those juicy achievements

Luke I know but I have a lot of games I haven't even started playing yet like I've also got the Assassin's Creed ETO collection which is three Assassin Creed games you played those before Black Friday sale yeah I know but I they're on the Xbox one now yeah I know and I haven't finished the first um Dishonored yet yeah I know yeah I got to play that and then there's also there's the Black Friday sale on when oh well it started um early for Xbox God subscribers so it started on the 18th but it goes through until the 28th [ __ ] there's a sale on right now yes wish you hadn't told me all right well I'm I'm glad you did but on the other hand my my wallet is not glad but there there's some like um dayx

achievements and I can play through that again true so yeah the s's actually quite good they've got like a lot of of big titles for fair bit of money off oh cool I'll so I'm just waiting till next I'm waiting till the 28th and then I do some creative count accounting and then I buy the game and then I get in trouble for buying the games cuz your Creative Accounting is just pretending that you had the money no I do a thing where uh PayPal you can do the um some things you have like the pay now don't pay a shft of the ly so 21 days yeah so if I'm a bit broken I can't afford everything at the moment there's a website I know where they sell gift cards yeah so I buy the gift cards they email me any codes I use the codes and I don't have to pay for it for 21

days my Creative Accounting and so by that time you've already got the game and been playing it and then if questions you you can say no no I've already I've already got that game yep and then it's future Luke's problem genius it's not my fault I'm addicted to achievements I have a problem I also have a problem with buying board games with Kickstarter mainly which I'm trying to stop myself so I haven't kickstarted anything for a little while but uh except for a couple of weeks ago where I did kickart what did I Kickstart it was no not that there all my other things have kickstarted where I kickstarted the October ghost versus the league of Horror oh yeah that was successful

yesterday yes Ryan wing and his uh his Kickstarter yeah it got funed quite well funded actually so congratulations to Ryan yeah congrats so I can't wait to get my copy cuz I actually went the physical copy oh cool nice and yeah I'm going to sit down and read a comic cuz I do like the idea of Comics I just have a hard time reading them too many games to play well that and a comic you read I read them in like five minutes I don't know if I'm doing it wrong no I I I know what you mean I they you can get through them pretty quickly I think it's um you need to appreciate the artwork yeah so maybe with a bit of practice I can get better reading comics comics are fun I like them yeah but don't spend any more money that's
