could be good news for listeners or it could be bad news I see depending on what they think of me I mean I was I was trying to think of reasons why the listeners would not want you to come here h yeah no no no I don't think they've got a problem with me going to Singapore I think it's they might have a problem with me being on the podcast or not being on the podcast yeah but I'm here to stay oh yeah I mean we need you I don't know I'm not quite sure how this would work without you uh not that you know I think Dan and I it's not like I do anything left to our own devices would be a disaster you know yeah that that's I'm just that that may be the case I just don't know if we can afford new computer and trip to Singapore in May yeah I support you on that it's not

that interesting here anyway see see if I care I'm not going out and spending $10,000 on the computer but I'm spend a fair bit and I it would be about a trip to Singapore's worth yeah mhm cuz I think I brought this computer seven years ago and it's still going and I want the same out of my next computer seven years they say the the well not recommended the the most cost effective cycle is 5 years yes I read that the other day my computer won't run any games anymore well that's that's weird too though cuz surely can still run the ones that it used to run oh it can like um Hannah plays Sims 4 all the time but I meant like anything new it just goes no and it's really annoying with Microsoft store because there's games in the Microsoft store that I go hey I want to

buy that I'm not going toble to play it now but I will be able to play it on my new computer and Microsoft Store goes no your computer won't run it I'm not going oh that's right we discussed this yeah which is a great idea but it's also sucks well I don't have a PC and I don't know that I'm going to bother buying one again cuz my Xbox has more than enough games well I've never had a PC and I can't envisage a time when I'll need one probably not I've gone this far I'm never getting a Mac why I had a Mac once I'm never going back okay cuz that Mac was just too good it was it was like the top of the line Apple 2 was no it was Minos Macintosh LC 575 I can still remember it DLC 55 was about six grand it was useless who the [ __ ] had six Grand to drop on a computer your dad

earned too much money well it might have be the fact that I had cancer and you so you know here we go people feel sorry for you what Steve Jobs felt sorry for you I I do think Apple actually chipped in for it oh wow is that so he knew eventually he was going to have the same problem I guess that's right and he was like look just eat some lettuce don't take any medication and here have a Macintosh by the way it's named after uh an episode of get smart that's right uh don't tell anyone well he's gone now so I can tell anyone I want while we're talking about platforms and and such did you guys see the there's been a bunch of Nintendo switch news people have been playing with it they've they've let people have a go uh they've made official announcements about the games

uh and I um actually watched their the actual reveal of it oh the uh what are they call it the Nintendo I can't remember the name of this thing the the live stream the live stream yeah I watch the live stream I watch teeth watch the live stream met but it was all live yeah did anybody watch you watch rou teeth watch the live stream I think my cats did for a bit anyone watch them no I was watching there it ends I possibly got snapchated pictures of your cats by your wife while they were watching you watching Rooster Teeth watching the live stream oh so actually that's probably true is possible she she does like to send snaps to the cats she does they're cute cats did you see the ones tonight where one of them was not happy that I wasn't sharing my Lego yeah so I wanted to talk

to you about that and I don't want to Railroad this uh conversation away from switch right I'll bring it back don't you worry take it wherever you want I'll bring it back but I W to I want to talk about the fact that I know you have some Chinese made knockoff Lego yes and I want to know where you got it from I requested a photo of that for the Instagram actually I haven't got it yet well I'm going to wait until I've built it good okay at the moment it's just a box because I was in Malaysia a couple of months ago and I bought myself I think I mentioned it maybe on this podcast I bought myself an old timey Hollywood Cinema in that very brand of knockoff Chinese Lego that you've got Luke yep and they had everything they had so do you it is more complicated than most

Lego builds that's what I'm finding as well because like the Lego is you open bag one and all the bits are in there here it's everything's own separate bag I spent an hour first sorting the pieces I then spent three days building my old timey Cinema because it doesn't have custom pieces like in Lego now it's just clipped this half the wall to that half of the wall whereas this is like so we we saw your snaps right and and yes they come in all the separate bags and stuff but you know those those bags the separate bags are sorted by component cuz we we saw that you had mixed them all together and sorted them and we were like oh okay one bag will be for like the base of the of the thing you know what I mean no no that's Lego what do

you mean in the knockoff totally Rand it's not that oh so yours is so yours was a knockoff as well Dan is that right yeah yeah oh it's not totally random what with mine they have sort of grouped things together sort of yeah yeah to the point where you wonder why other things aren't grouped yes or some go well like why aren't you grouped with that one correct I right I will say though cuz I just finished building Mega blo thing that was the original Lego knockoff yeah that's right and that was the worst it was like a million times worth the Lego knockoff that you built yeah right there was no reasons to why they split these up this one it's not too bad I've started building it tonight just a little started on the base and it's yeah I'm it's going to be a big build I think

I'm going to go out and buy the Superstar Destroyer one the fake one or the real one the fake one because where are you getting these Luke just off eBay I see okay the reason why I won't get the real one when the real one came out was $500 and I nearly got it like I was so close to buying it but then I just it was off pay week and I couldn't justify $500 in Lego the next week it was gone if you now look on eBay for them they are like $1500 to $2,000 plus oh man yeah the Millennium Falcon the official one's really expensive too and it's it's ridiculous like people are buying Lego as an investment and they sit on it do nothing with it and then try and P it off I'm like no I want to I want to buy this and I want to build it yeah right

you know I bought mine off the shelf in a in a store in a toy store my knockoff brand Lego the knockoff yeah it's Falcon I've got was like $100 cheaper huh yeah but it says strawz it's got a four instead of an a it's amazing yeah but no Lego if you're listening you need to take this on board you need to do this what you need to do is do your big releases and then a couple of years later just go look have an online store for we will sell you the Lego and the instructions we won't put any fancy packaging or anything like that and we'll just oh yeah just the parts yeah yep I think that would make a fortune it would destroyed the black market Lego you can download the uh instructions as PDFs too for most

most Lego builds so wouldn't even have to come with that huh yeah I just I think I know why they don't do it because by not doing that they are actually having all these people run out buy more and charge Lego don't charge more for it but people charge more for it and there's still this High interest in it yeah they maintain like a demand in a way yeah but I don't care about that I just want I like building Lego you do and I'm not rich Noti that I'm not going to spend $2,000 to buy a superstar Destroyer which I will build and then effectively reduce the cost of price of it to nothing and it will take up like half a room yeah it's like I think it's like 3 and a half kilos it's like a meter and a half long Jesus Lego for me the experience of Lego is this

wanting it so badly having the most fun ever for two hours and then just going well where am I going to put this yeah and literally not wanting it anymore like I just want this although to go away I had when I was young the the Robin Hood play set the Lego me too the tree and everything that was fun I played with that a lot cuz then he opened the tree up and it had like yes his little base inside of it yeah it was good well the thing is we're at the age where it's fun to build but we don't play with Lego anymore we're not going to sit there and play with fingures and we're not going to do that part of it that's that's the problem yeah the building is still fun you know I remember the day where playing stopped being fun really yeah I had my action

figures out and like I had the day before right I must have been like 12 right just on the cusp between childhood and adulthood and I had my action figures out and I got them and I was like making them interact and then I just stopped and I just realized I'm not enjoying this and then I got really Melancholy cuz I realized that something that had just been in my way of fun for my entire life wouldn't be how I had fun anymore yep that's really sad I got really upset when I was a kid about you know the toy World ads you say I don't want to grow up because I'm a toy World kid and I was like I don't want to grow up either and then I and I said to my mom one day I'm like Mom I don't want to grow up I like my toys and stuff like that and she said

to me yeah but if you grow up and you don't like the toys anymore you won't care that you don't like them anymore and I was like huh all right checks out but I still like the toys yeah that's right yeah but I do wish I liked playing with them I wish I could disconnect enough to just enjoy playing well that's what video games are for exactly I still I'll walk in and I'll see a figure I like and I go oh I want that and then I get it and then I've got I'm not going to do anything with this are we we talking about prostitutes now yeah yeah I thought we moved on do anything with this see a figure I like then I'm I mean it's it was two hours of fun but now I just don't want it in my house you're PID for two two hours I get my money's worth

bro 5 minutes all you need 20 bucks done 20 bucks get what you PID for do you get a [ __ ] pass down at the local brothel is there W in care bro I don't know you live there buddy you tell me yeah you tell us I don't know if there is oh there there has to be there has to camera politicians everywhere anyway switch Yeah the switch so there are there' have been a bunch of uh videos up on YouTube and actually until about uh half an hour before we started recording I wasn't particularly interested in the switch but then I started watching these videos and now I'm like I kind of want one uh cuz I saw all these articles that were like there've been mixed kind of opinions on this a lot of people are saying it should just be a portable and

the the dock and the TV part of it is kind of not that great because it's it's not that much more powerful than a Nintendo wiii right which was not that powerful to begin with and it's G to run Skyrim right but the the Wii probably could sorry the Wii U probably could as well and when it's a handheld right Skyrim on a handheld [ __ ] yeah right I want that but then when you plug it into the TV it's it's like an Xbox 360 you know it's it's not you know like HDTV kind of it's not going to blow anybody's mind as a as a portable it's great battery Life's a little scary on it though yeah but it always is on Hardcore gaming devices it's not it's nowhere near the 3D it's from 2 and 1 half hours to 6 hours depending on the game yeah but for example like the new the new

Zelda game right on yep on the like when it's portable uh it runs at like 720p or whatever when you plug it into the dock it runs at 900p cuz it can't actually do a full 1080p it's not powerful enough and so everyone's like H I don't care about pe's no I don't either but like I said these articles really get got me down and and that was where I was at until I watch started watching the videos of people playing it and then just [ __ ] Skyrim you know on I could take Skyrim with me wherever I go and just be playing Skyrim constantly and like I don't even have to plug this into I guess that's the main thing is uh the only other thing that I'm a bit weirded out by is at the moment

apparently if you want to charge this thing you've got to put it in the dock really no I've heard differently well there isn't a separate charging cable for it as yet it's just USBC right so I could plug it into my laptop charger in theory yeah it's just a USBC connection so you can plug anything charger for a phone will work yeah may see that might have got BL out prop proportion too that's I feel like some of these these negative articles got me down and then I watched all these other things and I'm like this looks really cool actually like [ __ ] Skyrim and um the way the the little paddles come off everyone's saying the controllers are good I will actually let you know in a couple of weeks and if if you and your friends all have them you

can do like a local land up to eight players kind of like the way going to stop you there what that's never going to happen no no no sure you will never ever ever get to do that yeah probably true fine you can't we can't organize a time for us to sit in our own houses not have to go anywhere I'll stop you there L and you're now going to organize people to come to your house and do it no but I'm going to go to PA oh he's got you there L and so you can play like yep you won't use it there probably I'll do like Street pass or whatever the equivalent is and then to do so you're just got to have your 3DS there until I get sick of like I got sick of Street pass after about a week yeah no I I'll say a week as long time to play with Street pass

before you get sick of it though to be completely honest Street pass is still actually quite fun at conventions yeah it is it's the only time that it's fun though especially they have released more games and no actually it is is depend yeah if the game utilizes it well it's pretty good uh most of them don't though and I I don't even know if this has anything like that they haven't shown how the online stuff works with this or like what the store have you seen they've actually now going to say they're going to have an online this time cuz nintend those attempts at online have been terrible it's garbage you have to have someone's friend code they going have a paid service yeah hopefully it being like because at first I was like I'm a paying for the non

[ __ ] online service that Nintendo has and they're going to give you instead of you know with the Xbox Live and Playstation they give you games with this they'll give you SN and NES games or SNES have you heard though they they they will give you the game for a month yeah exact and you don't get to keep it so no you get to play it for that month and then it goes away so again there're still like I don't know I don't know I want to pay monthly for like this halfast service but also if you wanted to talk to someone over the switch you can't you actually have to get an app on your phone and you use your phone to talk across what are they doing hopefully like charging a monthly fee for this will in encourage them or give them the

resources to make it not [ __ ] that's my that's my hope yeah like we we don't want friend codes no I want to search for my friends [ __ ] Gamertag and add them like friend codes is [ __ ] annoying it's like Dan did you ever get the joy of trying to use a friend code no no so if you wanted to become friends with someone like on the 3DS or the yeah 3DS is a good example you can't actually just search for I couldn't just search for brain fed or Matt or anything M I had to put in his friend code so I would have to go on my device and look up what my friend code is which is like a what say for example I don't know exactly 15 number like 15 digigit number and then I have to give that to him and then he has to type it in exactly and then he can

add me yeah look I have four friends on Xbox Live you know what I mean I've got you two Jenna and Nate yeah like this wouldn't phase me because I'm just not fussed about making friends yeah the same as all their other stuff it's just a bit clunky and weird and it's like it could be so much better and it is better on other platforms so they like just figure it out they used to be they used to be like a leader in in gaming [ __ ] and now they're like I don't know got on a weird tangent well they're still trying to lead but they're not learning from anyone else yeah I wonder if it's a cultural bubble too cuz they're I mean they're um based in Japan where PlayStation I guess is huge there but Xbox is not so I think I wonder if they

intentionally distance themselves from from kind of you know because Xbox is like I guess more of a a western gaming platform you know impression PlayStation yeah yeah no no no I mean Xbox uh like because live is kind of in my opinion the gold standard for kind of the online stuff but even like on Playstation learned from that remember when true the PlayStation platform first came out they went we're not going to charge you for this it's going to be free come to us and it was a [ __ ] platform that's what I'm saying there's was rubbish too so I wonder if it's a cultural thing where they don't think people want this but and maybe people in Japan don't want this maybe they love the way that you know the Friend Code stuff for some reason maybe it's just does that don't

like it well they got to look that where where their Market is though well I think Nintendo would argue that that that maybe that is their Market I don't know yeah I mean if everyone in Japan buys one they don't give a [ __ ] whether you like this or not maybe we have like a weird different perspective on on what success is so so it's just sort of the handheld portable side that really went you want one yeah I was looking at this uh I'll tell you the Skyrim thing does get me the the idea that I can have Skyrim and I can't hook it up to the TV because that you know that is appealing sit there and play Skyrim and then be like might go uh might go play outside hey it might happen it might it might happen about that yeah yeah so

it's only uh minus- 10 I might go outside and play that will never ever happen yeah I know but it's a nice idea but I could on my lunch break I could play some Skyrim imagine yes planes imagine being on a flight and being able to play a proper game like Skyrim like I would kill for 9ine hours with nothing else to do but an excuse play do you know what I mean like yeah so from that point of view Skyrim and breath of the wild they they're very appealing if they can get Witcher three on this thing [ __ ] I'm doomed I'm buying one I can't see that happening no I can't either witch 3 is probably too heavy for the console but Y and I I think CU you got to remember uh City Project R sort of a small mhm they're a

small what's the word I'm looking for independent small independent developer yeah well I don't know how small they are now but uh they've gotten pretty large but I know what you mean they don't have the resources to just throw it on every platform yeah especially for such an old game where the people who wanted it have probably already played it and there are the people like me who've already purchased it twice yeah but Skyrim's the same and I would buy this Witcher three on a portable console I would buy it Witcher 3 is my favorite game I'm not going to buy this day one I'll probably get this around Christmas probably won't be able to buy it day one which is the other article that I have in here uh I don't know how it is in in Australia but here

in the US it is not available anymore it sold out three days after pre-orders opened wow so I mean they're doing something right what if Nintendo just not making enough yeah it could be that they did that last time maybe they just you know didn't anticipate the demand same thing happened with the N happened well the same thing happened with the Wei yeah yeah yeah they always do this but if I want one I'm gonna have to wait for it or fingers crossed they'll send us one if you listening Nintendo send me one well I get to go play with one in two weeks don't send these guys one they'll buy one already send me one I'm not going to buy one but I will play one if you send it to me I would play it if anyone gets games it should be me choose your favorite Nintendo choose your

favorite yeah pick a side the switch is actually going to be RTX and I'm going to it next week well in two weeks time so I'll let you know what it's like hands on I also could switch a go as well I'll be checking out at PAX East in March uh because I'm assuming I won't have one at launch so I'll just have to play one at the convention and comes out in March yeah they'll definitely have it there as well yeah it comes out like March 3rd and then paxes a week later so I guess I'll I'll just check it out there unless I can go in maybe I mean there's a Game Spot Game Spot GameStop GameStop nearby I'll go in there maybe they'll have one anyway I'm interested I wasn't at all this morning when I woke up and then I watched videos and now I'm really interested it looks really cool

um the only thing I want it for is Zelda I want it for Zelda and Skyrim I'm actually playing through Skyman at the moment CU I I just finished Fallout I finally finished Fallout oh you did huh yep I started with the Minutemen oh you did okay interesting yep hey no spoilers guys I might eventually play it again I started with the Institute really I figured I was going to have to choose one of those sides so well no I actually went to a lot of trouble not to side with two of the big players I went with of the smaller ones how they work out for you pretty good okay everyone lived except for the Institute right didn't like them and I shot my son in the head Jesus can we edit that into this so we'll have Dave going oh I was just disgusted at myself wanted to have sex

with my own daughter and we'll just have Luke go I'll shot my son in the head [ __ ] just drive these people away from the podcast yeah that's right this is not for you I will give you some advice so don't go from being like a super high level powerful person Fallout to level one in Skyrim at the end of Fallout I was invincible MH walk in I'll kill everyone people shoot at me I don't care try to do the same in Skyrim it's not working yeah no bullets and there are no Vats no no Vats you've actually got to you've actually got to just go up and hit somebody yep I'm trying to get real good with a bow and arrow this time that's what I'm doing I forgot to put this in the [ __ ] spreadsheet I was like I was just thinking what was I

playing the other day that's that's like Skyrim and I'm sure I wanted to talk about it [ __ ] Elder Scrolls Online have you guys played this I saw you playing that you were playing in that dude it's [ __ ] awesome really I played it when it first came out it was terrible is it good now yeah I bought it uh really cheap be just before we left Australia uh I was in EB for some reason and I it was like $5 and so I was like oh I played the um you know when it was free for a weekend I played it a little bit and I I was like oh this is pretty fun so I explained it the other day it's really good it's Skyrim but it's like online so you play with other people and it's a little bit like you know MMOs that just a different it can't be

exactly like Skyrim because you can't affect the world in a way that's going to [ __ ] it up for other people but it is like it's it's pretty pretty good like I don't know I'm really enjoying it so I was going to say if you can get I join you in it next week yeah cool cuz oh you've already got it I've already got it I've had it for years all right let's let's if we can organize a time let's let's uh let's have a play and then I don't know if you can get it cheap Dan like I think it's I'm still off work next week so anytime you want it's it's it's fun it's uh it's like Skyrim but you can play with your friends and okay well I mean do you have like secondhand game stores there no we don't really even have game stores here game stores are very rare hm people don't buy them

in stores here but you can just get off eBay can't you uh no not eBay eBay isn't really a thing here either um it's got its own online shopping places here there are ways to get them sbay there are ways to get them yeah let's see I'm just I'm just going on eBay because that's what I have here is that eBay is from Australia Scrolls Online Xbox 12 bucks yeah it's it can get pretty cheap brand new yeah and I you can get uh it's kind of like uh you know World of Warcraft now and the others where you can play it you buy the game and you can play it and then there's certain things if you get really into it you can pay money to unlock them I haven't hit anything that I haven't been able to do but maybe it's because it's hidden for me at this point but I also haven't felt

like I need to pay any money to have fun so well actually that's one thing they changed recently with the tal update is you can actually go to any part of the world now and it just levels you up to where you are so you don't have to worry about coming in and being completely underpowered or anything cool so like you can go and play with someone who's a level 100 and you can be level five and it just throws you in and you're fine yeah cool the quests and you know there's and the way it's arranged is more like an MMO where it's like a bit more fetchy and a bit you know like you've got to go out and kill a bunch of the same animal to collect things and stuff but it it's it's I like it a lot more than I've liked world Warcraft and stuff Skyrim

is actually very much like that yeah I suppose that's true every time I walk into a town I know I walk up to a couple of people and I'll get it can you go deliver this or can you go kill these people and they're not story based it's just can you go do this and you go sure why not it is a big task focused isn't it it's very different to Fallout yeah okay well very different I'm finding but you know what I like about Skyrim that Fallout doesn't have I can walk around without [ __ ] just attacking me like and [ __ ] you know what I mean like cuz I play with a certain amount of strategy you know like I've I've often got something in mind that I want to do anytime I pick it up right yeah Y and and fighting random rad scorpions is

never ever part of my plan no why would it be it's just annoying it's just annoying whereas in in Skyrim it's more like if I'm getting into a fight it's because I've I've geared up I've pre myself and I've put myself in a situation where I'm getting my fight on yeah yeah you you've sorted out exactly yeah no I can understand that old Scrolls and Line's good it's got blacksmithing and stuff it's it's like very similar to um to Skyrim and uh you know Oblivion and all that I'm sure it's probably not for everyone and people listeners if you know if there's something you don't like about it that's fair enough but I like it I know it's not doing as well as wow and I I I thought it wasn't actually doing well at all but there's [ __ ] [ __ ] shitload of

people in there so seems to be doing fine yeah well just let me know be ready to jump online and play with you all right let's do it what character are you I I it's been years since I've played this game okay that's the other thing I like about it too is you you choose your your character and your background affects what classes you have it's not like you can't like if you're uh I mean it's the same as an MMO I suppose uh but it's a bit different to Skyrim in that you know if you choose a red guard you can be certain things uh whereas if you if you want to play as like a dark elf you get other options and that kind of that's kind of stuff that makes sense I you know as I say that I'm like that's like most of the other MMOs I just didn't realize it when I was doing it

because I thought I was playing Skyrim so never mind yeah honestly I can't remember but yeah I'll probably start a new character be easier all right I'll play through the tutorial yeah I did that as well I played it I played through the tutorial [Music] but no EA screwed these guys over with their release time oh really okay see I'm not aware of all that it came out Battlefield 1 came out a week before it oh and then I think like a week or two later that's where Cod came out right and so yeah it just sort of got missed because it's not that big name it got wedged in between those two big hitters if you look at the Twitter account now there seem to be just replying to people

uh and who are expressing an interest in a g in any game and then saying what about what about Titanfall 2 have you um you considered playing that it's targeted marketing which is fine but when you just look at the feed and it's just them reaching out to people going hey did you end up checking out Titanfall 2 it just looks a bit pathetic doesn't it hey man did you uh did you get that link I sent you about um about Titanfall 2 what what do you think do you think you'll you think you'll check it out like it just streams so desperate yeah yeah and okay I'm sure it's not I'm sure they're fine it just looks so funny do you think you'll check out Titanfall 2 soon question mark it's like actually something they tweeted no but I like this one wh which game did you end up

going with like doesn't even mention Titanfall to well they might not be doing fine because um this one didn't even ship the same amount of numbers as the first one did really the first one was XBox exclusive oh and this is PlayStation and Xbox that's so weird though because it seems like the first one was really popular is it could it have something to do with the fact that uh OverWatch is so huge now as well cuz that's kind of like the go-to multiplayer shooter Now isn't it people love that so maybe everyone's and I've played I played OverWatch I don't get it it's Team Fortress and I don't get that yeah I haven't played it but uh well and also I guess Battlefield one so yeah maybe that I work with is obsessed with OverWatch also evidently OverWatch is like one of the biggest

porn searchers at the moment like it ranks above anal that's on my laptop yeah I haven't played it I forget where I was reading that I'm interested to play it but I'm not going to spend $60 have you played Team Fortress uh I have and I did have fun with it so same game okay sorry if I'm distracted I'm just I'm just looking at OverWatch porn now oh that's fine I feel bad for uh for Titanfall who made this game what's the company I can't remember the name of the company respawn respawn I feel bad for respawn uh cuz I hear that it's a good game and I heard the first one was a good game so hopefully the first one was a good game but it was lacking single player didn't have any right it had no single player it was all multiplayer yeah so once it

got a little old and everyone just dropped off the game was pretty much useless this one had a great single player campaign but there were no achievements in multiplayer so I didn't really play it speaking of dropping off and the game being useless have you tried to play Battle front lately Battlefront which one oh no I haven't played that in ages Star Wars battle that should be doing well that went to into the Vault for EA access well I don't know I heard I read an article a little while ago and I'm sure I've seen friends Post online about how it's it's really hard to find a game now like uh to get enough people together to start a match and Jenna tried to play it the other day and she said it like you know like finding you choose what you want to

play and then it finds other players and then it puts you into into a game together apparently it took ages cuz I guess it's just oh that that's really scary cuz that's a I remember when playing like Battlefront it was uh it'll just throw you into a game that was midway through like it feels a spot Maybe I'm Wrong maybe it's there something else going on but it just seemed like uh it's dropping off a lot and it it upset me CU I I I know I haven't been playing it but I always thought that I would like to play it again we should play that next week as well all right I'm off all next week I will stay up to whatever time you need me to be up and we will play I think I start work next week so we'll see maybe I can put it off for an extra week are

depends who you are really I guess what you like it's a it's a decision that's been made by Star Wars by Lucas film by John Star Wars that is a decision that is up to Star Wars actually I think it's Kathleen Kennedy probably she she Kathleen Star Wars are one and the same entity at this point so we won't be seeing a digital princess layer and an old princess layer yeah they're saying that now except they've already done a digital princess layer so it's kind of a bit I don't know we probably don't you remember when they in we initially heard about there being a young princess leayer in the force awakens there were rumors that it was going to be her daughter playing her that's right and her daughter was in the film just not playing her yes yeah right

yeah so maybe is that what they're heading towards now actually doing like the whole well I'm pretty sure it wasn't my mma's daughter who they got the player in Mo's daughter not even the actress it's mon Mo's da I don't know who the actresses I don't either sounded funny none of us clearly do but yeah I don't know if they may be heading down that path which I think was fine it worked yeah well the pro I guess the problem is that she's not young in in episodes 8 and N she's old is it is it easier to make an old wrinkly CGI version or is it easier to do the young smooth one I think it's easy to do [Laughter] wrinkly yeah yeah we still talking about digital characters here or well no no no no I really do think cuz you have to if you're trying to

match someone younger you actually have to go and try and match them if they're older you got a bit of play few EXT you think they could just 3D scan her corpse no no no what I'm saying is they don't have to cuz they can take some they would have with Corps they would actually have scans of her now they would be figures out there that they did scans off and there's busts out there that they can use and they just play with a little bit at a few extra recs and she's just older with a bust a little bit [ __ ] we are so childish Dan I was being serious Luke is making Luke is making a very good point and we're being [ __ ] childish ass you lost me there's plenty of busts out

finished eight oh yeah true sorry good good point episode 9 and they said they don't normally respond to this stuff however they have said that they will not be doing it so I guess that's kind of definitive stop talking about it when not doing it yeah but but it means they can't do it now even if they Chang their mind yeah but a lot can happen in the next couple of years but I guess that means also means they figured out what they are going to do yeah or they're secretly going to do it and they reckon in two years they could get it right yeah and people will just forget they said they weren't going to like surprise we did it that's the twist twist is we lied so what's the other Star Wars news this is brief this is another Rogue one thing which I guess we kind of doing

that to death but I thought this was interesting it's been revealed I guess that the Darth Vader scene at the end which uh it's not really a spoiler because you know what happens at the end episode four and New Hope begins so Darth Vaders there that whole sequence with him uh was a re-shoot interesting I believe it I believe it it makes sense it's odd though because it says they didn't change the ending so I guess like Princess Leia was always there uh but the bit with Darth V was added so yeah yeah a bit um it's a bit strange about how he sort of worded that H cuz he didn't come out and then say like yeah the ending didn't change but that last act did no but here's the thing right without that final scene with Vader coming in still the same end yeah

but without that the only glimpse of him is when Carrick goes and visits him in his weird Castle right yeah sees him sees him in a jar well no he comes out and chokes him and stuff yeah but that's a nice little tease right that scene yeah and somewhere along the line somebody's going no it's not enough it's not enough we need to we need to see him kick an ass [ __ ] back Yoda style I actually think it was great yeah it wasn't it didn't have that that bad back flipp Yoda kind of feel for me I thought it was pretty cool I've said this before on the on the podcast I hate how they do Vader being a badass in a lot of other mediums like the comics and stuff where he's he's just you know like's surrounded by a thousand guys and he's

taking a photo where you can see the person's fingerprints as in if they're making the peace sign you know as in I guess Japan specific because I don't I know that that's a stereotype and I've seen it's not just Japan it's all of Asia and they all do it all the time okay cool that's what I thought I didn't want to be didn't want to be a bit racist I not in a photo with an Asian girl that hasn't done the PE sign how many photos are you e with Asian girls that's a personal question and I'll thank you to not ask it okay I retract the question that's what he does don't ask don't tell but yeah so apparently they can uh they can copy the fingerprints uh because the cameras are so good now and um you know they can it says fingerprint data can be recreated

if fingerprints are in focus with strong Lighting in the picture uh and they can be used to unlock phones or you know uh computers now computers have have fingerprint scanners on them uh and potentially you know all sorts of other stuff okay well that's uh it's quite terrifying yeah I put out a warning and said I mean look it's I guess it's not a huge issue but uh warning to not do it to make piure people far away or oh it's just be aware that if you're doing that there is the potential for someone to steal your fingerprints be aware of it or when you're taking a picture like that in the words of the great man Bruce Lee don't focus on the finger I'm going to get in trouble for that but it was worth it man was a gen he was ahead of his time he was ahead of his time he

knew this was going to happen he was ahead of my time for sure before I was born but they've also uh said that they've developed a transparent film containing titanium oxide that can be attached to fingers to hide the prince so uh this could also be a bit of marketing for the this product that sounds like a lot of effort guys you want to do a selfie yeah hold on let me just uh cover up my fingertips yeah yeah there's a lot of really shitty crazes that have taken off that we you didn't expect okay so you can't really you can't really blame the manufacturers of this shitty piece of technology for maybe taking a punt on this right yeah right people are going to buy little pieces of plastic to put on their fingertips so they can do a selfie and

do the P sign like stupid if things have taken off so yeah if you're a if you're a fan of you know throwing up the the peace sign just uh be a bit careful with it just spin it around y spin it around yeah exactly pretend you're a British do you guys hear that M Night shamalan wants to ruin stranger things for us by directing some episodes I saw that I also saw an article that said that he's definitely not going to be allowed to do that but I didn't I can't find that I'm sure I'm not you know what I mean like I will physically restrain him from doing it I saw the trailer uh because it was I forced on to me before another YouTube video uh for his new film and it looks [ __ ] awful what's his new film it's got James makoy in it as a god kid bad

with a multiple it's called split or something like that and he's got multiple he couldn't pay me enough to watch an M Night Shaman movie like it just looks [ __ ] do you know he directed that [ __ ] After Earth movie with Will Smith and his son they they hid that from everybody yeah wow I mean don't get me wrong there were plenty reasons other than ight shamalan to never watch that film yeah but that film was marketed but they actually actively hid the fact that M Night shamalan directed it cuz they were like unbank was it hi or they were just trying to Market Will Smith like nobody knows that it was an Mite shamalan film like normally you know like people people are aware who ight shamalan is not not everybody but people who are you know nerdy people who are

into kind of film a bit you know who he is he did The Sixth Sense and and and he did some good mov and then now he's like a joke kind of thing like cuz he's you know he's the guy who does the twist ending and his movies got bad uh but people don't generally know that he directed that because well everyone knows that it's a [ __ ] film they just don't know that which is kind of odd right you think yeah but I mean I guess at the time they cast him to direct it he was bankable enough that they could put him above the line and by the time that movie was scheduled to come out some had decided you probably shouldn't put his name on the poster y yeah like we don't even want people to know that he did it yeah that's right wow yeah I

uh I found that out because there's a YouTube uh your movie sucks who does very amusing and interesting reviews of films very funny uh and he did one on After Earth I think it's after Earth isn't it it's called anyway yeah and he he mentioned it at the start of of that and I was like what did not know ight shamalan did that no I didn't know either please if he want to actually do would he actually direct or would he just be there to have a name there cuz I've ever heard this sort of happens with television where they'll get like a guest director in yeah but does it need someone I mean everyone's watching this show just try to come up with ideas I don't want it to happen got Kevin Smith directing episodes of Supergirl oh yeah but he's like you know he he's a comic

book guy like that makes sense yeah but I can see why in ight Shaman's head it makes sense that he' be doing stranger things yeah oh right okay really does like he would have called up stranger things for the same reason that Kevin Smith would have called up Supergirl sure yeah I get I get what you mean well actually maybe he's just looking for work now so maybe should to look at going to television yeah maybe he send his resume everywhere we're just uh we're just gu too much credit well you know what maybe he's maybe this is this is actually something he'd do well for change well look let's be honest six cense was [ __ ] excellent yeah right but he went downhill very quickly I don't know I quite like Signs really no signs was rubbish swing away I didn't

like unbreakable other people liked unbreakable I did not I hated it I didn't just not like it I dislike it very much I think another reason why I like Signs and it's due to that the first time I had surround sound set up in my house and that movie is great for surround sound it's also got Mel Gibson and you hate the Jews yeah that's true I think we've got a jingle for that I don't think we do no we do we got a well it's somewhat related uh racist but I love everybody equally except the [Music]

juice that was yep y uh The Happening was also atrocious not going to watch that is that the one where the wind ends up being the villain no it's well sort of it's the trees for Christ's sake but yeah the the they don't know what it is then there's the village where the villain ends up being nothing seen the village I didn't bother you think it's set in the past but it's actually just present day yeah and you think there's stuff and there isn't stuff a they they see weird lights but it's just a car they seen it i't I haven't seen it I didn't watch it why would I [ __ ] watch it yeah maybe I still judge it because that's a kind of

person I am that is your right that is my right as somebody on the internet giving my opinion uh we got some other movie news one of which have you seen this Woody harlson Thing movie yeah he's gonna he's gonna live stream the movie into theaters apparently he's doing it on in London uh the 19th so it's a play yesterday or it just like I'm watching someone Live on YouTube yeah wellb right or Facebook live actual he's acting the movie or it's just he's starring in it and it's going to be streamed live and then that's going to be the movie and there also this kind of amusing joke I guess video of a bunch of other famous people talking about how it's a [ __ ] idea I mean it sounds like a really [ __ ] idea doesn't it I mean I'm not going to judge it I haven't seen it yeah it might

be fine but you're right it is just a play and also it's like depending on the the type of film that it is it's actually not that impressive people have been doing plays for a long time yeah for an actor to to play a character live is not new in fact that's how they used to do it but that's how they always did it back in Shakespeare's day it's not like Woody harlon's going guys I don't even get a second take at this yeah exactly I mean to pull off a whole film that way I guess the the the impressive aspect is not woody harlon's role in it it's the technical aspect of it like the cameraman and the behind the scenes stuff like what what he's doing isn't that impressive it's going to be the fast-paced editing and stuff that's going to impress well

not editing but switching to different cameras and shots and trying to make it not boring but yeah this isn't new this is not new at all I remember ER doing this forever ago yeah ER did a live episode and they did like a live episode back toback because they had to do for the east coast and then they did it straight again for the West Coast all the other way around oh wow they filmed episode episodes they filmed fil FMS in one take right there are one take films that's thing that's been done which is kind of just the same as what this is anyway cuz I'm sure they've rehearsed this no adly un like a I mean no script well that would be impressive I'm making that up well they hadn't rehearsed it I don't know I don't know but imagine that imagine that

debacle Yep this is going to be so real the actors don't even know what the film is that would be interesting to watch would it just people sitting around going what's the script can I get a read of the script it's just Woody harlson harassing people in the street trying to make like a movie like live you you know I thought 24 was uh was like a live kind of thing at one point I didn't quite understand what 24 was when it first came out had you seen it and thought that or was it that you no like when heard it when it first came out and I heard of it and I like I kind of like heard the basic premise of it I thought that it was like landed two spoilers like it matters Hansel in it you know Owen Wilson's

character mhm is dating an ory so so and Kei with suland is part of the orgy and there's a scene where they the orgy announces that they're all pregnant keep it subtle and included but then there's a scene later on where um he cuz he's such a good actor that like it [ __ ] cracks up every time there's a scene later on where he has like keep for kicks his door in and loses his baby and but he plays it so straight that like it just cracks me up every time cuz he's like crying he tears up and he's like I lost the baby I I shouldn't have kicked that door in no what okay I'm watching it just for that it's very funny it got really bad reviews but I found it [ __ ] hilarious yeah it
