one that everyone made fun of and I I included made fun of it and now how great is it I bought one yeah it's pretty good um except it does only have one port so um I have to get like some adapters but anyway I bought this uh USB network adapter and I plugged it in yesterday to test it and opened up my web browser and just instinctively typed in blues news.com what Blues is that still around yes that used to be the site you went to you just went to for everything back in the day well yeah I I back when I was on dialup I I would connect and I'd be like

is it working Blues news.com let's see what's going on in games but yeah it's still going that's been going what since the late 90s uh 1999 according to the copyright notice at the bottom of the website so actually no 1996 my mistake 1996 but yeah I just I mean this was uh this was my News website well was all of our news website I believe I remember I think Dave in introduced me to it back yeah it would have been Dave introduced me as well the format hasn't really changed on it I've just done there myself no it's pretty and you know what I was looking at it and I'm like this is a pretty good news website actually like it's very concise there's no there's no I mean not a lot of ads everywhere it's like it's you know I might start reading

post it's a little different to a normal blog definitely will be coming back here I don't know why I stopped coming here me either I think cuz all the new shiny websites came out with all I mean cuz like there's no images here it's just all text like this is perfect I don't know why why I bother looking at these other websites so anyway I could we old men and we just want to look at like a newspaper and that's what this is I'm playing Pac-Man now what do you mean playing Pac-Man how what on his website no on Google oh oh is it on like one of the Google what do they call them goog on Google Maps you can go

there and just play Google um and play Pac-Man on Google Maps your neighborhood were you playing before we started what led you to do that I clicked on a link that said Google Pac-Man oh off Blues News yes okay and now I'm playing with Pac-Man Miss Pac-Man Miss Pac-Man cuz you always play as a girl yes yeah makes sense I'm doing pretty good too ah Blue Ghost ah red ghost run all right I'm got to turn this off I've stop playing now speaking of playing as a girl uh have you been playing more Mass Effect H have I been playing more Mass Effect um like to say that all my planets I've colonized are now 100% really mhm jeez all the arcs that we're missing I know where they

are I got that under control okay and no spoilers cuz I am people keep saying cuz I I I bought it like as soon as it came out right which is like a day before you guys right but I don't get a lot of time to play games and people keep going oh you're probably much further in the game than I am and they're like oh I've done this and this and I'm like I'm [ __ ] still on ears like I haven't done anything I'm enjoying it you're sort of it's great but yeah you're you barely scratch the surface with this game I know I just the other day I got I went I was like I'll duck back to the Nexus and then I got back and it's like oh my God there's a new there's a Docking Bay there's like I got to do all this decision making pulling people out of

cryo and kind of stuff I'm like oh wow that's what I mean I'm like I've hardly touched this game I just I don't think you should have purchased this game why because I'll never finish it cuz you'll never finish it well I will this is a big game I still I it took me over a year to finish Witcher 3 uh and I still I mean I didn't even finish it technically I just like power walked past all the quests to to finish the main story and then I still haven't finished either of the expansions I haven't even started blood and wine which is like the best expansion ever from what I've been told I just need to make more time to play video games I guess oh maybe um we might just have to cancel the podcast so

I've got more time that means we won't talk to each other anymore Sor I don't like you guys anyway oh fine welcome to the last ever podcast day could have be bother coming that's right oh yeah he's not here uh he's I don't even know where he is where is he he's doing something I don't know he's doing something important no doubt yeah he's off I don't know in some country yeah doing something yeah pointing a camera at something but uh but you're still enjoying Mass Effect I assume yes I thought I would have it finished this week but no this week I'll have it finished how many hours have you put in um I don't actually know I might check my save do you know if the save has the amount of hours I don't know normally games like

this they do show how long you've been playing it for yeah it's a shame you steam would tell you yeah they go you could have gone outside and lived your life but you've been here yep no I just want to go back and play it now well I've been playing it when I can but we've also uh Jenna and I are playing through Borderlands 2 together ah Co-op because we wanted to I know it's like I don't even know how old that game is now we never played the bunkers and badasses DLC uh and really yeah but and we really want to but like in order to do that you have to be level 30 something yes because and Tiny Tina is awesome you should have played that before I know I know all that I just just didn't um so we're trying to blast

through and uh get to level 30 yeah so we can do the DLC some advice go a little bit higher than 30 all right cool not not because you won't be able to do it at 30 just to make it a little bit easier sure okay yeah or if you want it really easy when you get to play just invite me into your game all right well I would accept it's difficult we've been trying to play with people in Australia cuz I miss every like I miss a lot of people in Australia we got a lot of friends that I don't interact with very much now cuz you know our schedules are completely opposite and we're trying to organize when we can all play games and it's just it's not really happening cuz uh where I am I mean right now I'm sure the listeners already know this but it's uh

it's nearly 9:00 a.m. here and it's nearly 11:00 p.m. there is that right mhm nearly so if I get up early very early there's a little bit of crossover uh and but on the weekends I guess is the only time we would be able to fine you you you organize to play with them as much as you want I be over here when do you when you want to play ly we've got our group too actually our group's going pretty good on uh Xbox now we've got uh yeah we getting lots of people in our club yeah if you want to join our club I don't know what the point of it is uh if you can help us F that out multiple nerdgasm Xbox Club it's club right we've done this before I can never remember I I always forget if it's it is Club it's a club it's not a group it's a club yeah makes it sound

more exclusive mhm I don't know how it works do people just join or do they invite us to join I'm confused uh I get a notification that someone has requested or I I get like well it's weird I get an invitation request which is like I guess someone saying please invite me and then I I do and then they join so I don't know the wording is weird but yeah I guess if you ask to join uh we will approve you we'll say yes we we accept everyone yeah it's not not very exclusive unless you're a dick then we then we will ban you yeah and if you're a dick you be able to join because you won't be able to hold a controller unless you're a dick with arms in which case please join the

club it's comedy comedy gold comedy gold you can't just make jokes about Dick and expect it to be funny there's one thing Chiller 7 has taught us dicks aren't funny they kind of are it's true speaking of dicks uh did you see this thread on cheap ass gamer where a gentleman uh purchased from uh Amazon warehouse a Nintendo switch uh with at a bit of a discount he uh thought he could get a good deal on a Nintendo switch they go for 300 bucks here I think uh and this one was 260 something uh 269 so it's a little bit little bit of a discount yep uh and it's you know Amazon warehouse I guess is like refurbished or returned items uh so I guess someone someone bought the switch and returned it and then uh and now it's been sold on again

by Amazon uh inspected according to the website this was inspected and approved and uh this gentleman received his Nintendo switch which I'm I'm making air quotes uh to find Inside the Box a Wii with no power adapter or anything just a just a [ __ ] Wii I don't know I have a hard time believing this really I don't I don't because I've had uh is that because you think Amazon is reputable and they wouldn't allow this to happen well the yeah the fact that it was checked right by someone I think it probably wasn't uh checked and I've had some weird stuff with Amazon Amazon now

is like there's a bunch of sellers on there who are it's like eBay almost right where it's another company selling it and then Amazon fulfills it in some cases or in other cases it's just another company using Amazon as a platform to sell the other week I tried to buy an adapter and what I got sent was a completely a card reader basically you know like a multi card reader like a SD card oh yep yep um I got sent one of those instead of uh this USB adapter that I wanted and like it doesn't even look the same they just sent completely the wrong thing and then uh I had to send it back and get a refund and then they wouldn't like you know they wouldn't just send out the correct thing I had to [ __ ] around and send it back and then they checked it

and all this kind of stuff and I'm like to ship the right thing like I think Amazon's not not as good as they used to be maybe like this was this was fulfilled by Amazon so as far as I understand it Amazon themselves just shipped me the wrong thing they picked up the wrong thing off the shelf have you seen the robots they Ed to do it no I haven't I went for AWS training a few years ago and uh and they showed us this video in the warehouses here they have a bunch of people sitting at uh little booths and when an order comes through it gets sent to them and then sent out to these little little robots uh and the warehouse you can't walk out onto the warehouse floor it's like roads in between all these shelves and these

robots like and when I say robots I mean like these little square [ __ ] Ro like robot platform things go follow the roads around to the the rack where the item is supposed to be and then they use the little robot arms to grab it and then bring it back to the people on the at the booth and the people at the booth are supposed to check it and say is this the right thing like I think usually it grabs like a basket with a bunch of these items in and then you take the item and then they the humans pack it and uh and then give it to like another robot to take it away to be shipped like it's actually there was it they uh showed us a video there's a I don't know if it's on YouTube or if it's available I'll if I can find I'll put in the show notes but uh it's actually pretty amazing

but uh I think they [ __ ] up sometimes mistakes happen yeah so I think but also if you if you're actually not going through exactly through Amazon but one of those third parties people who sell through them yeah you're probably getting it through them not Amazon well there's a lot of fake stuff on Amazon too like uh same as eBay you know like you buy like a you buy Nintendo switch and you get a Nintendo switch like that kind of thing and also there was a big thing recently where people were selling books but they would get the the EB of the book print their own cheap shitty version of the book and then sell it on Amazon and so people were buying like uh you know like computer related books are quite expensive mhm yep there was like a

python book uh Python's program language that the uh the author to to figure out what was going on CU people complaining about the bad quality of his book like in print and he was like what are you talking about like it's it's a really good quality book so he ordered one off Amazon himself and got this cheap [ __ ] like photocopied version of his book off off Amazon and then so now they've apparently put in checks to to resolve all that you think Amazon would already have checks in place for that type of stuff they're too big they're too big now that's the problem there's too much going on they can't just hurry up and come to Australia though oh yeah see I order a lot of stuff of Amazon now I have Amazon Prime so see I'm complaining about all this stuff but it's actually really

convenient with Amazon Prime I pay uh 100 bucks a year and I get free shipping free two-day shipping if I order something it is here in 2 days well the second it gets here I will be getting that they have to make it available it's already paid for itself mhm cuz I order I don't know what I order I order this network adapter that I'm using right now off them free shipping well not free I paid for it in advance but two day shipping I want to do the thing where you just go you set up an alert for anything that's a dollar and free shipping just send it to me oh yeah just send it yep no matter what it is just send it my way yeah and then you have to review whatever it is on this podcast can do just wait for I'm also cuz do they

have are they going to have the drones where you are oh I don't know see that's funny too there's the there was an article about that guy who shot down the Drone uh over his house and he was found to be in the right they said you can't fly a drone over someone's property so I don't know how that's going to go with uh with the old Amazon drones cuz I think that's the going to be really awesome like you can order something and it can be at your house within an hour type of thing they have Amazon lockers uh somewhere near us cuz I always see that option on the checkout I've never done it though but it's like a and I've seen the lockers when we were on our road trip but not not in Rhode Island somewhere else but it's basically like

at a I think the ones I saw were at the side of like a gas station it's like a big rack of lockers with the Amazon logo and basically you say at checkout I want to pick it up from an Amazon Locker and then for free they'll just put it in one and tell you which locker it is and the code and then you go have you seen one of the Amazon stores no I have not well you just walk in take what you want off the shelf and walk out what yep what do you mean I don't know how it works you basically you that's how it works well no it it is there is a probably one or two more steps to it that you have to scan it with your phone or something for it you still pay for it but you don't deal with anyone you walk in pick it up off the shelf and then

listeners who don't know we're trying to send Luke to Mars yeah basically and go and live there so that he can live there well actually no the I think most recently you were going to you're going to be cloned or copied and teleported there right you're going to be teleported and then there would be two of you yeah one here I'm okay for that as well any any any way to get me there and the one that's here would have to work to support the one that's on Mars playing video games right yeah cuz the one that's on Mars is doing nothing which one is going to do the podcast I guess it would have to be the one on Mars because they one the one he is not going to be able to talk about the video games cuz he's not playing yeah also he's going be working to death right all

right so uh Nate says uh it depends on where on Mars you are a Martian day is one day and 37 minutes like one Earth day so it'll be different every week by 3 or 4 hours and the lag is 20 minutes 20 light minutes between Earth and Mars so it'll have to be at a time when the signal can be sent so when either Singapore or Rhode Island is facing Mars uh I don't know if we'll ever get both of us we might have to put like a big mirror above Singapore or above well no I don't think we need to get into that because it doesn't need to be pointing at both of you all it has to be is whatever satellite oh we just R the connection yeah right yeah good point good point I've been a fool I've been a fool all right but there is going to be that 20 minute delay still that's still

going to be a big thing yeah well I mean now that I've got this cable maybe it won't be so bad if we could just get a really long network cable from here to Mars I think that'll solve it I think that' be good because I really do hate Wireless and I'm hoping to have um wired up there yeah and I mean I don't know if uh what is what is it cat cat five uh and then cat six was like better I don't know details someone's going to correct me on this so maybe what we need is cat 7 cabling and so there'll be zero lag between here and Mars I'm pretty sure that's what cat 7's for y yep does cat 7 exist I don't know cable oh my God it does cat 7 cable

see no lag between Earth and Mars Perfect all right so that's what we need how much would it cost to buy a cable long enough to go from Earth to Mars listeners how much would it cost to get a cable from here to M I bought uh this cable that I'm using right now was 20 bucks on Amazon and that's another thing that I bought uh and it's it's 25 ft long I think and it was 20 bucks or was it 10 bucks [ __ ] I don't know you this is the worst podcast Jill 7 you were right we are the [ __ ] worst I'm gonna look I'm logging into

Amazon now I can actually do things on the computer now while I'm talking which I think that's a problem yeah it may be good and it may be bad for for the podcast in general but uh before it wasn't possible all right it was it was $949 uh it was cat 6 so we couldn't it's not c 7 we can't use it to talk to Mars and it's 50 ft long so I was completely wrong it's 50 ft long and it cost me $949 did you only buy this like last week or something I bought it on it arrived on the 26th of March which was like last week yeah and you've already forgotten about it well the problem is it's in feet right which means nothing to me no it's not a real

measurement it's like when I I told you we talked about this already when I did my driver's test for here all the questions about how many feet do you have to stop from a intersection like [ __ ] I don't know like how big's a foot I don't know like everyone's feet are different well I mean there is a an accepted constant but I don't know what it is so that's why I can't remember Fe I don't accept it no well you wouldn't cuz you're all about the Empire yeah y so you're Imperial I'm metric y makes sense Rebellion okay yep good stuff uh speaking of the Wii which we were before we got sidetracked have you touched yours um since uh we spoke last no and that's not even last week that's the week before

lastre that's the week before it's actually pissing me off at the moment even though you haven't touched it even though I haven't touched it because it sits there in its dark do thing just sitting there taunting you but every probably 15 20 minutes it'll it'll go hours and nothing will happen and then all of a sudden for once a minute for about 15 minutes it'll pop up to say HDMI 2 is connected goes away then T HDMI 2 is connected and s p oh like it switches your TV playing you what's no no it's just a it tells you yeah television just goes like you got a connection right and it's like switch I'm not going to play you go away yeah stop annoying me while I'm playing the Xbox and enjoying this yeah

yeah you probably shouldn't have bought it no I'm looking forward to the first time I go on a flight though yeah yeah good point have you tasted the game cartridge yet we we did it when we were on the air oh that's right yeah okay SP you when I tasted it cuz someone told us all right fine that was ages ago it was two weeks ago I don't remember [ __ ] people ask me all the time about stuff that we talk about in the show I don't remember like especially if it's years ago people will like which I mean I love that people listen to the old episodes right but I don't so I don't remember what we talked about we do this every week I can't be I can't be expected to remember everything Luke but uh a

listener uh confirmed that it is in fact the same stuff that you put on your fingernails oh you would love it then yeah so um oh it's not it's Phil it was Phil and it was in a message that's why I couldn't find it thank you very much thank you Phil do you have any plans to buy any other switch games oh do I um Mario Party when it comes out uhhuh and I probably will get Mario yeah which well I Me Assume they'll make one they're they're definitely making a Mario it's Mario Galaxy is it I want to say like a remake no no no it's a it's a new one Mario Galaxy was really good on the Wii no it's not Mario Galaxy then it's not a good one it's it's a Mario game they will release a Mario

game yeah of course several I just have to get around the finishing Zelda I don't know how this game got great reviews really I really don't I don't know why people are going on about it and raving about and saying how good it is this game is terrible okay why you were enjoying it at first right no even at first I was a bit the weapons just start breaking every five minutes annoys me this just so much about this game I don't like huh well I'm glad I main the fact that I suck at it yeah I can see you would be annoyed by that it's not often I suck at a game oh speaking of you sucking at a game I um I played uh some Halo 2 the other day uh just against someone

here in the US uh got your ass kicked no no no no uh I actually haven't played Halo in uh a very long time I haven't played Halo since Halo 3 but uh it was fun uh but then it reminded me of that time we went up to manab Bar in Queensland and those like [ __ ] Pro um uh Halo players were there like there's a team of like I don't know from some league and uh you took them on and they just yelled abuse at you because you were so terrible which was funny because I mean you are better than me I think you were find out yelling abuse at you oh I mean no no no I'm not going to deny all when you were [Music] flying yeah that inside the room yeah that happened also why are you in

that yeah do you know how to fly that thing no then why are you flying it because yeah that was hilarious it was it it made me think of that though and it kind of made me want the Master Chief Collection so that we could play Halo but what's the point cuz you could really only play that in Co-op now I doubt you able to get many matchmaking going in that you're not going to get a good game of G Going it doesn't no that was the classic it doesn't have firefight either no which was my favorite game mode like hord mode uh see I I was interested in the new gears for The Horde mode but I don't I I've played a little bit of the new gears and I don't like it have you played it really yeah I've got probably about a third of the way through and

then other games came out and I got distracted I just don't like I know the the style of it is very different the the whole art style and and I mean it's robots you're playing as his son and well I I didn't didn't even know that but uh the the the art style they were robots and I don't know it's just I don't like it as much it's not as horror themed it's more yeah well that unfortunately with horror games and RPGs the more copies they sell and the more sequel they make the less it goes away from that horror and RPG feel right because Dead Space is a good example of that yeah yeah totally love the first Dead Space that was a great game and then the second one got a bit more of a co-op action shooty thing and then the third one I didn't even bother

playing I've got the third one and I don't think it's I think it's still on the shrimp rack really need to stop buying games if we're not going to play them I think I'm the worst for it yeah you probably are I'm pretty bad I've got uh I got mankind divided in a sale months ago I haven't played it yet cuz I want to devote time to it and then I'm realizing that's just not going to happen so maybe I should just start I've forgot I've got that as well I haven't actually finished the first one yet yeah ah really the first one was great I actually did finish that I did the silly thing of trying to go for an achievement which don't kill anyone right oh which yeah which is something you should never do in your first playthrough but then I got to the second boss couldn't beat

them cuz I was also playing on hard got the shits uninstalled it haven't played it since if you um if you want to just get through a game choosing to not kill people is not the way to do it generally no because every time you make a mistake you have to reload or something yep and you got to go a lot slower and yeah yeah not if you want to just get through a game you're actually better just to throw it une easy and just run and Gun truth but I will never do that doesn't surprise me oh speaking of achievements uh the new Xbox dashboard is out you've probably had this for a while because you're a yep in the beta program yeah uh I mean you haven't mentioned this at all so uh you know I don't know I don't know why this hasn't come up but the achievement tracker

seems like something you'd be into I really haven't used it yet okay but yeah I I've I don't know why since I went to the new tracker I haven't really like it I used to what I used to do was snap the old achievement bar up have just to the side and I'd have that and I'd see that slowly ticking up but since the tracker came out I stopped doing that and I don't know why cuz you don't um you just don't snap anything anymore is that right did they take snap they got rid of that feature yeah okay that's what I thought oh the other thing too I haven't looked at this yet right but did they remove Twitch streaming all together it's got that beam thing instead no no you can still twitch right you can still stream that way but beam is their they've made beam a lot easier to use

what's beam never even heard of it beam is the Microsoft oh all right yeah makes sense y all right all right yeah but well the achievement tracker for listeners who don't know don't have an Xbox or haven't updated theirs yet or whatever now if you want to uh track an achievement on Xbox you know like say kill five goats you uh can go to your achievement list and then flag it and it'll show a little box in the bottom right hand corner of the screen or I don't maybe it's configurable but by defaults bottom right hand corner of the screen and it'll say you've killed two or five goats or whatever and then what do you got against goats why we killing goats you go to they just smelly and kind of Shifty looking that's all okay one of my favorite games uh in recent

years sunless C uh is now available on iPad so I am now able to play that wherever I am as long as I have my iPad which is generally anywhere I take it around with me and have you played that yeah it's on PC as well have you played it at all you own it you should play it man it's really good I've talked about it before uh it's it's very text based actually you wouldn't like it you hate reading forget it you wouldn't like it like you it's literally a reading game with a little bit of other stuff to do is the other stuff fun yeah okay it's it's like an exploration game uh where you sail around an ocean discovering things and then when you arrive at various ports it's like a Choose Your Own Adventure stuff you do stuff and

then you travel between them and and do all this stuff it's very uh dark and weird it's kind of kind of love crafty and horror uh it's a little bit uh surreal um but it's really cool wow I don't actually own it I think it's it's 20 bucks normally uh but it's it's often on sale and I highly recommend it 20 bucks I'm going to wait for it to be on sale I highly recommend it um but yeah I don't know if you'd like it how's it play on the iPad good yeah yeah like it holds up the controls are a little bit different but I mean because most of it is is text so you kind of scroll and choose what you want to do and then and then controlling the ship you know it it it works well I haven't had any issues with it I mean maybe generally I find with the

iPad um sometimes in combat games it's a little clunky like I found uh Legend of Grimrock which I really enjoyed I loved it on the iPad until it got kind of harder and then it's it's I find it clunky to to control and and get into people's inventories and stuff like that I don't know I think I'm just faster with the mouse so uh yeah I didn't like it that as much as I got further into the game um but this so far is good yeah I never got into playing games on the um the iPad when I had it and I think it's just because I had like a older generation iPad so right didn't really like it that it didn't play well okay on the iPad so I got rid of it now I've got a switch yeah which you also don't play anything on mhm and in other game news

they have announced Battlefront too that wish we knew they were always going to I know but like I've been burnt now by the first one one was a great game yeah but no one's playing it anymore nope and the same thing same think happens with every game yeah I suppose the multiplayer you you can still go on there and get a game but you'll be playing the same people over and over again in the same match type yeah but there's one difference with the Star Wars Battlefront 2 what's that there's a single player this time oh really I didn't read that bit yes yeah they made a mistake they that the first game needed a single player campaign right yeah because you just can't play it unless you play it online yeah that you could play like the training Mission

things but you you couldn't do all the modes no but still it's still going to be the same when it comes out you'll have like the multiplayer those modes that have to be online to play and then there's going to be The Campaign which I I like the campaign more yeah they should let you play this is what I think anyway EA or dice or whoever is making this thing uh they should let you play any of the modes with Bots H it's very strange that they didn't have bots in it yeah I mean we've had those for a long time we had bots in Quake they know how to make that they they know how to make AI That's you know fine yeah like this this would be a great game for Bots like that's what made the um the AAL fighting so far was

there was ships everywhere exactly but you can't do that without playing online and also like Co-op like you and I should be able to just play a game against bots if we want y that would be cool yes all right well I'm cautiously optimistic at this point based on you know you're going to get that one no matter what anyway yeah shut up I know like I didn't get the Rogue one expansion for the first game even though I wanted to cuz I was like I don't think anyone's playing this anymore what happens is the expansion comes out a lot of people go back play the expansion and then they drop off again yeah yeah which is annoying because I still got achievements for it have you played the Mass Effect

multiplayer yet I tried it I didn't understand what was happening and I stopped okay I found it to be pretty good so far really yeah I just try cuz you're not playing as yourself you're playing as one of your stke team people right yeah but I mean it's just a different character that you make like make an additional character I have no feelings for that character yeah you want to play as rer they can die and I won't care did you make your own character model or did you use the default I don't know did we disc I made my own yeah okay I haven't seen what yours looks like not a not a didn't go into a lot of detail like a normally good cuz I don't know the editor just did not feel right no Mass Effect Ed always looked bit wrong

yeah they always do I don't know why I don't know why they can't get that right cuz it is sort of important like this is you're actually going to look at this character for a lot of the game yeah that's why I almost prefer it when you don't have a character creator like you know like in Witcher it's geralt like and and they can spend time making sure he looks correct you know whereas with this yeah yeah character creators they never look right and people spend a hell of a lot of time trying to get their character right did they always have one slide out wrong yeah like the character will look wrong forever I always said I told I said this last time I'm sure my guy looks just surprised all the time because his eyebrows are too high he just always looks like he's

surprised but other than that he looks fine they're all sort of people end up coming out they have their character will look great but then they turns aside they got like the huge duck lips and that's right yeah oh man when will they learn never we'll keep doing what do I wonder if there's going to be another Mass Effect though well I don't know what happens at the end of this one uh neither do I but they did say this is not going to be like a secret or Trilogy like this is its own story that's it cuz someone did there was people were talking at um packs because somebody on the panel said the word trilogy and everyone was like ooh and then other

people were like no he's talking about the the original trilogy oh okay so I don't know this one's been pretty successful despite all the stupid backlash about you know various political things the internet is stupid yeah the game's actually really good so I think and it's been it's been successful right it's just oh yeah and people are mad about the animations I saw an article actually I didn't put it in the spreadsheet cuz we talked about a little bit already that apparently they outsourc the animations or something for it but yeah I don't know who cares I know one thing that they said like they coded it and then they sent the cut scenes were done by another team and that they may have just done it wrong

who cares at the end of the day it doesn't look that bad it's not that bad their eyes W around a little more than I would like but you know it's fine I don't know if they've released a patch or anything cuz or I've just gotten used to it because I actually I don't I get a feeling they're looking a little better now I thought that actually because you know I said that my guy looks a bit Goofy and surprised he he whether I'm just used to him now but it seems in the last couple of days he he's not as bad so either I'm getting used to the way he looks or they've patched something but I don't know why they would have fixed that like I don't know why that would be affected yeah I I think I have just gotten used to my character but I don't know they do feel a little different now

it's there's no long e in there it's Weeden is it yes all right fine just weed is doing a Batgirl movie apparently yeah he's in negotiations yeah I wonder know what is with these directors that get to do both you got JJ did Star Wars and Star Trek and now you got Weeden who's doing Marvel n DC they can't stop him well I guess they could if they put it in the contract but I guess they didn't I mean I'm optimistic about this I think he would do a good job hopefully he would bring a bit of the comic book feel to it that I think has been missing from the DC stuff although as we've discussed maybe that's not what they

want maybe I just don't like the DC feel but I like uh Batgirl's cool I'd actually be surprised if they went with Joss yeah well it doesn't fit with because current slate yeah what they're doing no yeah they're all very serious and unless they may be thinking to switch it a little bit halfway through which I think is a very bold move yeah cuz they're very um very serious at this point yeah well you know he did uh he's done a great job with everything that he's done as far as I'm aware I'm not aware of anything bad that he's done so uh no I what they has I'm going to find something bad he's done dead hooker or something his

surname Weeden what's he done I'm DB all right just all right um Agents of Shield ah Age of Ultron uh I don't think it was bad uh was did he direct watching on no I'm just looking at Theology and it's got buffing the vampire's layer triple X of parody he did uh he did direct Age of Ultron look that wasn't that's not my favorite uh movie Age of Ultron eh yeah I suppose this worst

movies yeah Firefly Buffy angel Serenity uh oh he directed episodes of the office he wrote Alien Resurrection oh yeah I knew that all right there's something bad he's done yeah he didn't direct it though it's not his fault it turned out bad all right fine fine you win yep you win y yeah all right well hopefully this will be good hopefully this won't be Alien Resurrection I I'm gonna I'm going to go out there and call it he doesn't actually end up directing it really yeah what makes you say that it's not a good fit because it's DC yep and because of the to yeah I bet you it'll be like uh remember Edgar Wright was doing Ant-Man until Marvel and I think Edgar Wright would have done a great Ant-Man yeah but allegedly people got

too many fingers in the pie and he got the shits and left yeah and man that movie it like it's got Edgar right all over it with the the good bits like it feels like oh that would have been funny if Edgar Wright had you know had his had assemble been on it yeah exactly yeah I can see how that would have fit in and it just wasn't done right but J does know how to play by the rules that's how we got Avengers Age of ulton yeah and he managed to sort out the uh uh the end of the first Avengers too because he didn't want to have the what are they called the [ __ ] aliens that showed up at the end he didn't want any of that yeah but he managed to to make it work yeah he can do that but I just don't think his sty at all would go with what DC are doing yeah no I agree with that

it would have to be different but we'll just wait and see the just weird mind-numbing Holly do listen to us they do they do yeah let him do it his way let him do it his way speaking of it did you watch the it trailer I did I don't get it you don't get it no I never actually saw the original or read the book oh man you should do both I's a clown yeah yeah the book's really good lives in a sewer the book's like it's a typical Stephen King book it's [ __ ] awesome and then towards the end it's like wait what oh all right but it's not the worst of them he's not good at endings but uh yeah it's not it's certainly not the worst of them although it is a little weird the only book I've

read by stepen King was actually Green Mile I haven't read that is it good that's a good that's great you should read that so in in uh in the new it Penny wise the clown is played by Bill Skarsgard and uh it looks [ __ ] terrifying it did look that oh yeah he just didn't know you you like you would like it did towards the end to started off with those didn't look too bad but at the end where that clown is running through the water yeah forget that I think it looks awesome but yeah this uh trailer has broken the record for the most views on the first day apparently on YouTube it's

got uh something like 7 million views in the first day or something stupid like that let me have a look what's it up to now nearly 20 million views yeah it uh it like blasted through I think I'm going to boycott it why cuz it's too scary I want Tim Curry back I mean I don't disagree but have you seen Tim Curry lately did he have a stroke yeah God bless him poor guy it could just make it scarier yeah maybe maybe I'm excited it looks kind of 80s it's got that I don't know it's because it's got that kid from um stranger things in it so when I see it like like it it reminds me of

stranger things so I maybe that's affecting my opinion of it but I think it looks pretty good and this is only the first part of the story because the thing about it the the book and the previous film it's kind of takes place half when they're kids and half when they're adults so uh apparently this is just the first bit when they're kids and if it's successful they'll make the rest of it two more to make it a Trilogy probably yeah then they'll make one where they'll add a bit where they're all old as well and then and then a sequel again where yeah it's some some new kids until they rebooted again in in 5 years yep what are they going to call the sequel though cuz this is just called it but would

[Music] weird and like the ending from I read it when I was young but I remember the ending and being like what so maybe I should read it again because I I absolutely adored like the first at least half of it and and probably a bit more but yeah now I've heard that some of his books do just tend to just Trail off well he he talks about in his book on writing which is like his about him and his craft and and that kind of stuff he talks about how he he believes that when he's writing the story exists and he's like a sculptor and he's got this big block of stone and he's chipping away and so he just starts at the beginning and writes and writes and writes and then he uncovers the story

and that the story already exists he just has to find it and to me that's just [ __ ] what a load of crap it's it's nice as a metaphor sort of but to me that's just [ __ ] like that's not how that's not how story's work like he's making it up so but he he doesn't do any like prep or or what do you call it like uh outlining he doesn't outline the story very much at all he'll get an idea and he'll just sit down and write and so I think that's that's why some of his end funny cuz he gets to the you know a point and then he's like oh uh I have to wrap this up yeah deadline's due I need that check and I haven't thought about this yeah the end yeah and that's not to say like I [ __ ] love Stephen King but I do think I think he's mistaken about

that I think that's not I mean it works for him and maybe he's not able to to come up with as much creative stuff when he does do outlining maybe that's a thing but I do think the reason he has Bad Endings a lot is because of his method yeah so soon King you hear that yeah fix your [ __ ] that's coming from me Matt ham Authur how many films have you got made of your book Stephen King [ __ ] listen to me I don't know what I'm talking about no how many fils have you got made ah plenty of them don't you worry how many books have I written is a better question heaps would you like to read some of them on the podcast well I could read you my Monkey Island fan fiction from when I was a kid I think we need to hear that next
