the laundry tub sink okay that's weird and that's where we keep our lit trees yep okay so that think better she's there're scratching yep I come back later and she's [ __ ] in the sink that's not the worst place yeah it could be yeah I just feel odd when I was living in Summer Hill Louie decided that he would only piss down a drain and that was magnificent he did that in norin as well that would be great in the laundry cuz clearly have to LIT TR it's not the [ __ ] that's the worst part it's the piss is this really the podcast we're just this is it this is the podcast this is multiple nerdgasm for this week yeah I couldn't think of anything else to start with so this is what we get I don't know if we've ever talked about our cats before though so that's

something always something new happening somewhere but yeah I just I just had to get that off my chest yeah I just found it very odd and out of your sink yeah well Hannah got it out of the sink cuz cuz you were like help I need a grown up yeah I don't want to touch it e pretty much well I mean normally we start with dick news is there any dick news yeah yeah sort [Music] of dick dick news there's the uh the Viagra coffee that got recalled this week oh yeah Agra coffee yeah there's a it's it's kind of like this herbal coffee um it's supposed to have this drug called not drugs like a a herb called um honat Ali like a herbal

ingredient uh and apparently it's very expensive to obtain this this ingredient which is supposed to make you more kind of virile and you know the the coffee is called stiff bull apparently and um watch there's two Brands stiff ball and then natural herbs coffee which uh stiff ball sounds kind of you know more impressive yeah I me the only reason that I'm drinking this coffee is because I'm trying to get an erection then I guess I'd probably go with sff B just because of what the cover promises but yeah apparently it's quite expensive to harvest and obtain this herbal ingredient and so they think to reduce costs they've just been been putting some Viagra in there or or rather a drug that is structurally similar to the active ingredient Viagra

it's a it's a Viagra like drug and so anyway the fda's just gone um no and recalled it all H so this is instant coffee right this is not a coffee that you'd have at a coffee shop this is stuff you'd just buy at home and make in the morning yeah exactly yeah y apparently it also contained Undeclared milk which milk Undeclared milk yeah I'm not Undeclared from whom yeah or declaring some like a pasteurizing kind of process that we're just not aware of or is it you just have to tell someone if you've got milk in your product and they didn't yeah well you do you have to put it on the back of the packaging I think yeah you have to put all your ingredients in there and someone might be completely I don't know

if lactose intolerant if that would be with powdered milk would that be an issue probably yeah if there was lact in it there's a thing I'm not a scientist um you may be surprised to learn so uh this is not the first time we've covered strange coffees on this podcast I mean we we C we covered coffee that was eaten and shed out by animals and then to follow up I went to samatra and drank said coffee uh and reported back so Matt sing as you've brought this up now um this segment will need a followup where I need to know uh what the stiff bull tasted like and if you in fact did get an erection while drinking it okay well chances are pretty good but uh we'll do it anyway it doesn't count if you're already erect [ __ ] all right there's GNA be a

very small window of opportunity 11 minutes during the day that you're not erect exactly yeah geez you need to have a glass of this like minutes after you've already orgasmed all right I'll see what I can do yeah I had to look into it the international shipping's too much I'm not getting any where do they make it because it's says here Malaysia and I can drive to Malaysia from here so maybe I should be looking this found the the the stiff bu.com and I went there and yeah it's like 12 bucks for postage no yeah but if you were impotent $12 is a small price to pay that's true true but yeah I don't have that issue so $12 is a lot to pay all right good

being sexually promiscuous he jerking people off on in front of everyone sexually can I just say if you're going to punish someone for being too sexual don't whip them that's just going to make it worse in some cases he will keep hold of their penises and give them a little shake that helps that helps that is very strange uh although it's not the strangest thing I've seen uh from that area if you recall the uh the gentleman who from that area the penis I meant Africa GH is in Africa correct yeah yeah good but I was like better back check that against you two no you're good

where Kuba Gooding Jr plays uh plays OJ did you guys watch soon no he's getting out soon though right yeah he is in fact uh like this week or something right did am I the only one who had no idea that OJ Simpson was in prison for the last nine years for a completely unrelated crime no I did know that um especially well because he's been in the news this week so I I I read all about that again but I did know that yeah um robbery no idea yeah yeah yeah arm robbery I heard that he was gone to court for something about 9 10 years ago but never heard anything else about it yeah he uh he tried to rob somebody who was selling OJ Simpson memorabilia oh I see I didn't know that and he went in with two they were they

were doing a uh I think it was a private sale in a hotel room so that shows you how kind of you know just just to set the scene defense that he was try to get his back it wasen from him that's that's what he decided that that all OJ Simpson memorabilia belonged to him one way or another but he he took he took two Heavies with him uh who were both carrying guns uh so when they got busted uh trying to Jack the place uh it was an armed robbery uh and also a kidnapping uh but I haven't read enough to know where that came into it but I just assume that was just sitting on an island somewhere enjoying not having gone to prison for murdering his wife yeah and then wrote a book about if I did this is how I would have done it

if I didn't which I didn't which I didn't uh so I purchased that very book uh only last night actually on the Kindle because uh having finished uh people versus OJ Simpson uh I wanted to know uh what his story was you know wanted to know how he didn't do it yeah how he would have done it wink if he had done it wink which he hasn't wink wink I I know um Jenna has read that um and we I've discussed it with her but I'll I won't say anything because I'll let you read it I miss reading books get yourself a book buddy yeah just read it just read a few no I have them I still buy books I buy them on my Kindle buy actual physical books and then I'll you forgot there's another step you've got to you've got to you got

to read you got to read them yeah you got yeah you got to read them your eyes have got to look at the words You' eyes they've got to actually see the words yeah all of them or at least most of them that's that's a step I keep missing I went to uh barley last weekend for a little weekend getaway uh and I was so relaxed that I started and finished a book in a two-day period like that's how much [ __ ] just relaxed time I had it was magnificent nice yeah um I because the the other problem with Kindle well not problem well it is a problem is that buying a book on Kindle you don't even get points for having it on a shelf like yeah you don't get to have people come over and go oh you like Ray Bradberry like I've got physical books that I've never read but that's fine

because they're on the shelf and they're kind of decorative anyway like I don't even you them I don't have to read them to be honest they look nice but uh but the Kindle books no nothing also before I get [ __ ] letters yeah I know it's not pronounced barad barer but it just came out that way okay uh I bought a ray Bradbery book recently funny you mention it on Kindle oh yeah it was uh it's like a like a Memoirs kind of thing that he wrote apparently I forget the name of it but it's I in space yeah yeah no it's just a book about that he wrote about writing and why he enjoys writing and stuff like that well I mean his books do have a very literary theme to them yeah no I like R Brad so I was like that sounds interesting I'm going

to read it there's some competition for Geek of the week this week unfortunately yeah like no there wasn't all right you're a Lincoln Park Fan then Luke no no no question so not a Lincoln Park Fan I'm a Lin Park he get geek awake [ __ ] off he doesn't Chester Bennington was a huge geek yeah I am a Lincoln Park Fan yeah Chester Bennington sadly uh committed suicide this week yeah uh on Chris Cornell's birthday no less the speculation is that they were very good friends and he took it a lot harder than uh everyone realized and and he um yeah because he hung himself as well so people are wondering if it was of solidarity he hanged himself sor sorry hanged himself my bad yeah no I'm from Australia

he I don't use grammar um yeah so that's kind of sad really stop killing yourself celebrities that's not on yeah stop it that's my pip talk that's it just listen to Matt stop stop having Soul crushing depression yep stop it um and then it does go to show they know that it was suicide they're not suspecting that it might have been AIDS there was some article apparently on uh on Reddit or somewhere that there's a big conspiracy that was like Chris Cornell and yeah there's no conspiracy when depressed people hang themselves that's what they conspiracy what did they know well I also read a thread that um pointed out that all three of them had a pet pug and that

perhaps that has something to do with it is that true yeah and there's there's like a there's a Mas of like photos with all three of them with their pugs do the pugs look suspicious it's a pug murdering is it the hug at every photo well for all I know yes but yeah so Chester Bingington rest in peace and also uh someone who who may rise from the dead if anyone could George Romero could and uh sadly he passed away of lung cancer this week we have lung AIDS sorry lung AIDS yeah yeah breathing in too much AIDS over the years now he did smoke like a proverbial chimney and if if you watch the DVD special features behind the scenes on uh I think it's what was the one that had Simon Baker in

it like city of the dead or something Land of the Dead Land of the Dead yeah yeah with Dennis Hopper and everybody that's the one yeah if you watch behind the scenes of that the craft Services woman is interviewed uh because obviously she has catering for the whole casting crew every day but the only thing she prepares for George is donuts and cigarettes so you know if he didn't die of heart disease he was going to die of lung cancer it was a race to see which one would get him first I'm fairly certain that we've had we had a conversation Dan at some point about how George Romero will die of lung cancer yeah like based on watching all of these behind the scenes things that's right I'm almost certain that we called this

but honly can't wait till I'm 60 and can smoke again George George Romero is like a dead set hero of mine and uh and it is it is sad that he's gone he was old though it's not like he I mean Chester was [ __ ] 41 years old right yeah I know is four years older than we are but I actually got a shock when I heard that he died cuz cuz there a new of the Dead movie coming out ex of the dead and he had actually cuz he co-wrote it or something I thought thought he was actually directing it so I thought he was still up and around and going strong I think he was at a certain point I mean that's the thing with death is that you are fine until you're not you don't have death until you do one minute you're not dead and then you are so and then you're not again yeah if you're George Romero

although George Romero uh will attest he will be the first one to argue that the uh the creatures in his movies are not zombies they are in fact ghouls yeah right yeah he doesn't like the word zombie evidently I mean you know what he's famous happy to catch the checks right yeah yeah so for those who don't know George Romero famously directed Night of the Living Dead and then a lot of other zombie movies after that did he do anything else oh yeah he did he did um uh what's that movie about a serial killer that he did Before Dawn of the Dead Henry did he do Henry portrait of a serial killer I don't know let me let me check because uh that's a great movie that I haven't seen for many years and he did not it

was that was John mcnorton I'm very very wrong on that um he did do but if you do want a link that stars Michael Rooker who is in The Walking Dead which is also about zombies which owes more than a little bit to uh not living dead he's also in uh in uh Guardians of the Galaxy and also strangely in 1974 he directed a documentary called OJ Simpson juice on the loose did you say juice on the loose no I didn't oh it's Martin that I'm thinking of Martin is the uh the the film I'm thinking of where a guy thinks he thinks

[ __ ] me where a guy thinks he's a vampire oh I don't think I've seen that there you go what what do you think you is your favorite rarar movie remix uh mine would actually have to be Day of the Dead I think Dawn of the Dead for me no I mean I let's spread ourselves out I'm I'm going to say that Night of the Living Dead is is definitely my favorite but with with with a strong tip of the hat to both Dawn of the Dead and day of the de I will say this though Luke Day of the Dead doesn't get enough credit for the great movie that it is yeah I just I don't know that one just really it still stand out to me

today yeah and I think uh one of my other favorite zombie movies 28 Days Later um owes a lot to Day of the Dead specifically uh you know where they figure trying to figure out why the zombies feed and if you could starve one to death and all of that kind of stuff comes straight out of Dawn of the Dead H sorry day the day zombie can zombie shoot a gun yes it can yes it caners well I I don't know what I had to research that cuz like babies can shoot guns well and Americans what what research have you been doing in that area oh you just I'm just likeing could you hear about those people who get shot by their baby who's playing with a gun in the

it's the word baby that gets me I know what you mean like a toddler or something but no no baby no babab straight out of the womb on the way home from hospital they're playing with gun not even not even I I think the barrel of the gun comes out of the womb first aimed right at the dad pulls the trigger then the head emerges and the baby's like yeah [ __ ] you [ __ ] you Dad sorry I'm bring my own bag now imagine a little baby sitting there and it's like a bottle and then a a hand gun and the baby's like hm I don't know yeah one gives me sustenance and the other one I have no idea what it is and it's probably too heavy for me to hold but I will aim it at a parent baby so um before we move on from Geek of the week uh I got do the jingle

though what or is it did you have something to add yeah I got someone else gone there's there's been another Celebrity Death this week and it's somebody far lesser known than George Romero or Chester Bennington at least by name do you guys do you guys know who John herd is I know that name you do he's the dad from home alone oh okay yeah yeah yeah and he sadly passed away this week oh yeah I'm Googling him to see his face h e a t yeah he's he's in a lot of stuff he he's been a character actor for decades and decades uh he played a private detective on The Sopranos don't know neither of you watched that but

uh but yeah he's gone uh dead of AIDS I just found a photo so I know who we're talking about now very good are you more sad about John herd or Chester Bennington uh John H yeah I thought you might be you got something against Chester Bennington is that it is it is it we got to air some dirty laundry here you you got a problem with Lincoln Park I just I was never I never got into their music I never knew what the hell people were happy about and then I remember I had a ticket to go see them once and they canceled their show oh really why was it on their current tour I can't remember because they canceled that because benon [ __ ] died [ __ ] hell this would have been know what people were happy about 17 years ago the music made millions of people happy and I just I don't [ __ ]

Chester Benny dead and he's still going to suck Luke off before you'll get to get in mine there is one more death that we haven't touched on oh there is oh there is oh and it is another suicide oh God it is that's right and this one's possibly the most poetic out of all of them yes a security guard just couldn't take it anymore and decided to drown himself yeah yeah that's right although I find that they use the word drown like loely so to to back up uh we've discussed stories before on this podcast about robots with uh artificial intelligence and uh specifically that one that used to run away yeah they they created a robot with AI and it tried to escape from the lab and they caught it they wiped its memory they gave it new

Ai and as soon as it learned about the world again it tried to escape its bonds again and uh I think that might have been a our geek of the week at some point uh that um but adding to geek of the week this week uh there's been a new robot given artificial intelligence uh who once he became uh cognizant he uh he couldn't take the burden of life and he drowned himself that's right I do have to ask a question so this robots use as a security guard MH yeah they've got a I got a few of them yeah from what I understand what's what's it doing if I steal stuff is got a or taser or is it just going to yeah it's like a try and get in my way I I I assume it's like a Robotron in in Fallout that's what they call right Robotron or mhm am I

yeah no I think they just uh they have a bunch of senses and they kind of just Patrol and uh and report is my understanding and then if there's a an altercation uh they will call for help yeah possibly more of a deterrent apparently it's just like a moving security camera right okay it has a 360° video camera array sensitive microphones air quality sensors and thermal imaging capabilities the cameras can scan up to 1500 car number plates per minute the microphones can detect gunshots and other notable sounds uh and it uh yeah it just drives around and uh and checks you know checks everything's okay and apparently um in April this year outside the night scope offices night scope is a company that

makes them a drunk man beat up one of the robots as it was patrolling the car park which just that wording made me laugh no it apparently he really [ __ ] went to town on this thing such a strange thing to do it's just a 300lb egg-shaped security robot was punched To The Ground by an allegedly drunken man outside a Silicon Valley Shopping I like the fact it's the he's allegedly drunk not allegic punched to the ground yeah that's right he's kill you in the cry but we don't know if he was drunk or not yeah I think he was you looking at me robot you [ __ ] looking at me they did say they did say that uh the one of the security robots once knocked over a 16-month-old child at the shopping center and ran over its

foot so uh these things are not perfect but talking about it like that and calling not perfect is just the type of hurtful statements that causes robot kill itself that's right well so anyway yeah the they they found uh they found one of these things uh in the pond at the mall it had I've heard that there's an actual Shrine to it now true yeah they built the other robots the other robots built a shrine Jesus Christ I think it was the humans also if anyone's wondering uh the robot's name was Steve yeah do they name all of them or do the robots choose for themselves or I've got so many questions you can't choose your own name well I'm just thinking like the AI

I mean there's people who work in my team who I see every day who I've known for years and years whose names I can't pronounce you know so it's it's for our benefit not theirs oh yeah totally yeah yeah I work with people and I know I'm pronouncing their name wrong every time and about it but I just cannot get it out like it's stepen just direct them to this podcast and uh and they'll understand yeah and now speaking of things that Luke can't say mhm we've got uh a bit of followup on uh on the old uh what was the name of that boat Luke what was the

name of the boat I can't remember boating mcboat face hey he's been practicing yes I've been preparing for this all week cuz I knew it was coming so uh do you want to tell us about the train in Sweden that's been uh named by on Sweden yeah good on Sweden cuz they did what that other country I forget who it was with the bodyc boat faing England they put a poll out out to name their new train mhm so we put up trainy mcra face at one they named it trainy mcra they sure did got on your Sweden yeah that's great should now care about these unlike that boat that I don't know what they actually called it it's dead to

me did they call BC boat face yeah they they they bailed on that that was stupid but did they I know they bailed on B boat face but did they what did they end up calling um I think that aten BR or something oh uh boat face Nam after veteran BBC's David aten oh that's right they called it the David aten and I think they named one of the little dingies bod MCB face but it's actually called the RRS sir David aten right yeah I mean that is a more elegant name naming things like this just chucking it out there do you think the train chose its own

name what how often do when do we start naming trains I know we give them model numbers and stuff but when did we actually start giving them names that's a good point I don't know that I've ever called a Train by a like a name other than like that's a tangara or something like that that's the mountain a lot of inanimate objects in my house I've kind of imbued with a personality so can't really criticize this you talking about your dick hey I will not have you badmouth a professor like that what other things have you given personalities to and what are they um usually things that uh that resemble uh human faces in some way like uh what the [ __ ] are you decorating your

house with like the oven mitt the oven mitt that I used to uh to bring things in and out of my oven you know it's mouth like it's mouth like so what's its name name is Dennis okay all right cool that it's just something that you will go past me to Dennis or is this just something you internalize look at me saying all these big fancy words Dennis knows uh when there's a job that he can help with put it that way yeah you know he always humbles me you know he puts me in my place he you try putting your mouth on there you know and then tell me that I'm not [ __ ] skilled put your head in the oven D Luke can I ask um can you ever a go at pronouncing the trainy MRA face in the in the Swedish because they can I mean

they can speak very good English the swedes better than we could speak Swedish I'm sure but I don't I don't think uh I don't think training MC trainace was named in English I think he was named in Swedish wasn't he crap Hannah told me about this and she was going to I was going to practice but I didn't get that far um where is it and I'll give it a try uh I will actually the reason I'm asking is because Hannah sent it to me oh God damn it it's going to have like a j and v's and C's isn't it it does it also has other characters that I don't know the name of mhm mhm that somewhat resemble characters you're used to yeah that's right but they've decorated them a little bit like a fancy version of characters I've seen

pregnant right nice yeah yeah wow yeah commas learn to use them that's funny uh I think we saw some movies this week yeah I think I think we all went to the movies this week did we all go see a piderman movie um I did uh did you see Spider-Man yet Dan no I didn't uh but uh I I think the two weeks have lapsed that Luke will allow they have I'm sorry so uh I'm I'm willing to uh I'm willing to participate in this conversation uh all right well I'll tell you right now you don't need to M you don't need to go see it cuz I already told you what it's about right just watch the trailer yeah just watch the trailer just watch the

trailer and then listen to my summary of the film and I was basically correct so but I tell you what the vulture it was vulture wasn't yeah yeah they the role that was stolen right from Matt no I'm okay with it Michael Keaton was [ __ ] awesome okay he was the best he did an amazing play Birdman these days that's true he has really narrowed the field but he's killing it the way he became evil I just found really believable yeah absolutely he's a he was a really good villain yeah like he it sort of starts off that he's sort of got the contract for the city to clean up this the town after the Avengers have wrecked everything yeah after this so he's put everything every since he's got into buying trucks and hiring people and then

the government comes in and goes no no sorry um we're giv the contract to Tony star so bye but I've got nothing after this bad luck see you later yeah and that's where he sort of starts to turn bad to of start stealing the alien technology to build and just sell off to make money to support his family y he becomes like an arms dealer in like chitari human hybrid Weaponry it was really good it a good good story line sounds good um it's I liked it a lot it's not uh it's not my favorite Spider-Man uh it's not not even my second favorite Spider-Man but it was good I think it's a lot better than if it had have been another Standalone absolutely yeah it it jumps straight in he he's already Spider-Man don't you

know they mentioned that he got bitten by spider but we already know that like he's already Spider-Man actually takes place after Civil War where he showed up mhm mhm uh oh actually tell you what I loved was the the the opening you see the intro with with uh with tombs with Michael Keaton's character and then you see a bunch of um like home footage that Peter Parker has been filming because he's gets he's going to like he filmed on his phone a bunch of stuff of all that happened in Civil War you know when like Stark came to visit him and and so you've got him like doing little Vlogs like while the fight's going on and all of a sudden Ant-Man gets real big behind him he's like who that dude got really big I got to go and like it's really good it uh the tone was

great actually the comedy in this was really good cuz I did feel a little bit different to other stuff in the Marvel Universe absolutely yeah it was way more light like it was it was pretty goofy in Parts I really enjoyed it like I think this was actually aimed at sort of a younger audience yeah totally and it's more about uh well one of the themes of it is that he's a smaller scale superhero than the Avengers MH like he's he's your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man he he fights crime in in his neighborhood kind of thing like he's not a he doesn't save the world although but except the one thing I didn't like about it this is the the probably the one thing that I I thought they shouldn't have done was the big plane sequence I thought that was that was

silly and it was too too much it was too big that my that's my yeah I can see that because at the end like um vulture's going to steal lots of stuff from this plane and he breaks in there and there's a big fight scene on the plane because Spider-Man's on there and yeah it was just a bit too much I thought but then and after that it got all got great again it's just that that one sequence I was like n so can I ask something uh We've we've spoken on this podcast before about you know why Spider-Man hasn't been in the Avengers up until this point and it's to do with Sony owning the right to Spider-Man but Marvel Studios owning the rights of the Avengers etc etc it's the same thing that happens with the X-Men uh but there's some kind of deal that must have

been struck now between Marvel Studios and Sony uh do you know what the details of that is and going forward is Sony going to continue making Spider-Man movies but set them in the Marvel universe or is Marvel taking this all in this is okay the the I don't know the specifics of like how much money and all that kind of jazz but I can tell you that the first logo cuz cuz I was paying attention mhm the first logo you see is a Sony logo yeah mhm which I'm sure was a stipulation yeah uh then you get like a Columbia logo so this is all very different from a normal Marvel Marvel film you just see Marvel Studios right you don't even see the Marvel logo until after the the introduction like the first you know 5 10 minutes of the film and then you see the Marvel logo so yeah

right uh but like um Robert Danny Jr is in this he they mention like reference like heavily yeah the the Marvel films like this takes place after Avengers like it's all like it's in that world we just so you know Columbia Pictures is a subsidary of Sony so uh so that that makes sense but I wonder so there there is another Spider-Man movie that's going to come out at some point as well that is also going to be part of it I've heard that yeah and he's in Infinity War so yeah like he's in Tom Holland is is Spider-Man in Infinity War so well look I guess it benefits both it benefits Sony to be able to to align themselves with the Marvel Universe and it benefits Marvel to be able to use Spider-Man so I guess the Sony's still making the movies

but there can be crossovers now everyone's scratching each other's backs and I think I think though Sony are coming out with a villain movie I'm trying to remember venom venom but it's not in the universe yeah which is weird oh yeah decided they're going to play nice with Spider-Man but Venom's going to be its own thing and that's going going to be so well maybe maybe they won't a [ __ ] I don't know I honestly think they're crazy not to just stay in that Universe because it just works so well I I imagine the meeting went something like this Marvel was like do you want in on this or not like we got we got all this money here do you want some of this or

not sort of a shame cuz the only reason the rights are everywhere is cuz Marvel was selling off characters because they were broke that's right they [ __ ] turned that around they certainly [ __ ] did like it' be nice if we could see X-Men part of this as well but that will never happen n fox is doing they're doing well enough with them still the the thing with Spider-Man is Sony [ __ ] screwed the pooch on it yeah that's right so but yeah X-Men they're still there but I I honestly I think when X-Men once cuz Logan um oh God I can't remember his name Hugh Jack Wolverine Hugh Jackman he's not doing it anymore and I think it's going to take a bit of a dive when they replace him probably I reckon if they were going to jump the bed Marvel it would now would be a good time to do

it cuz that's a nice easy way to replace hug Jack I would like to see how Marvel Studios would do the X-Men the thing is though they've set up intentionally they set up that there aren't X-Men Universe yeah exactly right it' be weird to introduce them now because they took characters who were X-Men like Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver and made them something a bit different so they can include them yeah it would be weird to to do that now yeah it'd be interesting to see how they try and make it com but it's odd because now there's there's two Quicks Silvers yeah that's true existing simultaneously one of them diol Liv Deadpool's Fox no no way he died but didn't reset the timeline no that was in uh you're thinking of

um they reset the timeline in the fox X-Men movies in in age of ultra that quick silver in the Marvel Universe died which was stupid because like he didn't even get to do much but whatever whatever speak a franchis is doing well keep making we'll keep seeing him you know uh Universal after the uh the horrendous performance of The Mummy are now rethinking their Universal monsters extended Universe yeah and uh thank I think that can just be solely blamed on Tom Cruz I think they think that too yeah yeah I think that's that's the general consensus for sure uh and apparently because of the uh the really poor

performance of alien Covenant uh 20th Century Fox uh rethinking the rest of Ridley's sequels to bridge the gap between uh these ones and uh the original film an alien so all that speculation we had might might never come to pass did you see an article this week that like he wants to have Ripley yeah in one of the next ones yeah because he doesn't understand the his own [ __ ] franchise just stop as like a major player fighting aliens or do it doesn't matter if she's linked way to the alien it ruins the wrong place at the wrong time which was the entire premise of the first [ __ ] film that these weren't soldiers or any government people they were just [ __ ] truckers in space they picked up the wrong cargo and an alien [ __ ] killed everyone

except for a woman and a cat and that's that's my review Scott has become a person that I'm like that I don't trust him anymore you know himself he [ __ ] it used to be like uh Sam Remy a little bit the same I guess used to be [ __ ] Sam Ry films coming out yes it'll be great Ridley Scott film's coming out yes it'll be great like even if it's not about something that I enjoy it would probably be good you know no not anymore now I'm like [ __ ] what are you doing you've got to be cautious now exactly I question him I didn't used to question him we used to joke about you know he's he's such a cocky [ __ ] where he's like yes well maybe I'm just the best man for the job and you should

[ __ ] off yeah and now it's like I don't know anymore about yeah maybe you're not but no I think the problem is is because you thought that and everyone else thought that no one actually questions him yeah like Peter Jackson and George Lucas yeah which yeah if people were to sit back and just go maybe not things could be a lot different well hopefully that won't happen with another director who I greatly respect who has a new film out that I've not seen yet but apparently someone here has I assume you're talking about Christopher Nolan and his new film D Kirk I am now this only just came out so uh no spoilers I'll give everyone a week to see it um you can easily find out what happened yeah Wikipedia World War II yeah um this is a fantastic movie

there's just there's no other way to say it Nolan has absolutely [ __ ] smashed this out of the park uh yeah it's great uh yeah okay that's what hearing that's all I say go and see it you'll love it of course usual collaborator hanszimmer does the score and outes himself by limiting himself to what seems to be a [ __ ] double base and a some Old Violin or something it it is just so minimalistic and just so so atmospherically well done uh I think you'll really appreciate it I'm going to see hanima tonight [ __ ] off are you yeah yep going over his house or no we're going to Foxwoods Casino together no he's doing a show at Foxwoods so I'm going to I'm going to enter Indian ground again in order to see hanima perform it native with the Buggles or

uh no with uh with whatever that chist is that did the Wonder Woman theme and a bunch of other orchestral musicians I assume and a guitarist right yeah it's going to be good um so not everybody shares my love of dunker right uh there's there's a there's a very big uh there a very big push back on the internet uh there's a lot of people saying that this historically accurate film that is based on actual events that took place when a very selective group of British soldiers in World War I biting in France uh the filmmakers didn't use enough women and people of color in the cast yeah so um to all you bleeding

heart Lefty pinkos you can [ __ ] right off I see this is one of those things that comes up a lot now and I just don't know because I get it right we don't we're cool with everyone's cool now like we're all cool right but this isn't set now yeah this is set back then so it's like do you pretend and some films do and to be honest unless I'm looking for it I don't really even notice any anyway anymore no but we wouldn't to be fair no and some people some people often point it out and I go oh yeah okay they probably weren't you know a lot of you know black people or or women in those roles in that film I can't think of the example right now but there was one fairly recently where they were just kind of very diverse in their

casting and and no one really even noticed M cuz who cares CU great but yeah but in this case I mean he's going if he's going for accuracy yeah in fact there is a sequence where uh there's a bunch of French soldiers and there are uh ethnic diversities within those ranks because the French were using people from their colonies in Northern Africa right right the British weren't they didn't at that point so yeah like yes it was a bunch of white guys in the film because it was a bunch of white guys in the actual [ __ ] event yeah yeah have you heard about people complaining about the new Star Trek series no and the fact that that there isn't a white guy in it yeah you just can't [ __ ] win yeah I mean I mean they're up there with the people uh that

are complaining that a fictitious time traveler um shouldn't have a vagina yeah that's right yeah but it's I I've actually been rewatching the Next Generation though and it is I mean there's there's a there's there's some diversity but not a whole lot so there's 1990s diversity that's right no no but I'm talking about the new um St Tre series that's coming out I know it's all uh yeah it's all all minorities I think all the main cast which is and everyone's cool which is if you actually look at Star Trek that it's always been putting yes together to a limited degree I mean you still had Jean Luke beard and Rea and the main cast if you watched Star Trek and you weren't from England America or Australia uh then the whole cast was foreign to you so uh you know

that's true we're just inverting it yeah now they've always been pushing the boundaries I did note that you posted an article from Breitbart in uh in there this week Dan which is what I think it's the first time we've ever done that you know what Breitbart no the article Dunkirk article oh right what right by it's a very uh right-wing oh right American publication so it's the first time we've ever linked to them oh okay well and then it's odd that uh it's the article saying that there should be more uh people of color and women because uh oh I think the article is actually pointing out that it's stupid to complain that there should be well it is so I'm on the side of right but and I want everyone to know

it all right so I touched on something very uh very briefly uh just now yes um um that uh we have a new Doctor Who yes get around to watching Doctor Who one day Jody Whitaker yeah wait from Attack the Block yeah and uh a pretty cool episode of black mirror right um so of course some people think this is great uh sane rational people that is um some people think that it's stupid because um fictitious characters have to be the same gender that they've always been uh and of course uh the sun and the mirror um within 24 hours of this announcement being made um dug up some nude pics of her and uh and published them cuz that's the [ __ ] world we live in one thing I find a little weird about the people complaining about it and that they're not going to watch

anymore why didn't they stop watching when it became Canon that the do can change sex where cuz that came out a couple of seasons ago yeah and time Lords can actually switch genders so that's the time you it's been a slow build to this and I mean if you'd be if you watch the show you were stupid if you didn't see them preparing for it like it's yeah well even the Creator 30 years ago said he there'll be a female doctor one day yeah they've been setting it up for a while to make it possible because yes the doctor regenerates in case you know in case you're not a doctor who fan you haven't seen the show the character of the doctor he's a Time Lord uh and every time he dies he regenerates as a new in a new body which is a great great way to have the show last for [ __ ] 60

70 years cuz every time someone quits they just kill the character and then he comes back as someone else and it's always been men for for you know reasons because you know only men could star in shows for a long time and then it kind of just continued on CU he was always a man but they've been slowly over the last few seasons setting up the idea that time Lords when they regenerate can be anyone mhm doesn't really explain why they human no I mean and because you know there's uh there's a multitude of different beings within this universe so they haven't really addressed that but they they have addressed uh spoilers has been way more than two weeks since since these episodes but uh the the master who is Doctor Who's old Nemesis uh regenerated as a woman uh a few seasons

ago Missy and so they've been setting this all up so I think yeah if you didn't see this coming you were foolish and also I think if you're really that upset about it maybe maybe just don't watch it then because but one thing I always find funny is because I I don't I don't watch Doctor Who but I hear about every time they change a doctor everyone hates the new doctor the second they're announced and then within 6 months they are the greatest doctor ever y well except kaliy I feel bad for Capaldi everyone seems to be a bit lukewarm on him he didn't last long he lasted more than Christopher Eon and and he's arguably my favorite actually yeah but he he he he quit wasn't happy with it yeah wasn't like the the current doctor the on is yeah yeah and that's because they

went back to having to S of that older doctor I think yeah I don't know if it's necessar for few seasons I like him it's just I think the writing has not been as on for these episodes so I'm not sure it's even his fault but uh I found the you know um David Tenant was [ __ ] charismatic and uh and he was great Eon obviously was great and I found Matt Smith uh and here's the whole thing they set up with Matt Smith and with uh Karen Gillan and um the guy plays Rory whose name I can't remember the actor that whole thing was really good so I think they all they won everybody over and then I just think that Capaldi's stuff was just not as good h I haven't watched it since uh it came

back right with Christopher you mean is that the first of the new doctors yes the guy with a Lea jacket and the short hair yes I think I watched the first episode I went this looks pretty cool and then never watched it again yeah I love I love that series uh that one series that's that's my favorite Eon was good it's a shame that he get around the watching it one day it's a shame I know I will eny I've not seen the Matt Smith episodes either I've only seen as far as David Tenant and then I I really liked Matt Smith I was uh he he was really good he's a good actor I like him in the crown yeah no he's good in this he's quirky he's interesting and then like I

said Rory and Amy stuff that they had going on I thought was really good but yeah Doctor Who is a woman actually and I did laugh I saw there was when when this got announced there was an article about uh I think it was on the New York Times about people being upset about it and in the comments I saw I just pictured this old woman typing this on the New York Times website it was disgusting men who believe women can't be a doctor these days oh she doesn't understand what Doctor Who [Laughter] is oh bless okay so people are toying with my emotions again uhhuh mhm cuz be specific James Juan yeah was meant to be giving me my don't talk with my emotions

but now he's not and they've got someone else coming in to make the liveaction robot Tech durring you well I assum so yeah I mean the only reason they're doing a robot Tech movie is because they got the idea from this podcast I I assume yeah but I really wish they would just start it cuz I've been announcing this for years just do it so uh this guy that they've got to direct is the guy who directed The It remake that comes out this year the new one okay and Mama which is a he did a short film called Mama which they adapted into a full length film which was okay I've actually only seen the short film the short film was very good the long one was a stretched out version of the short I think they should have adapted it he

should have done something else yeah they didn't didn't have enough to it in my opinion okay could so he's done stuff that I've never seen then sure well you haven't had a chance to see it yet and I assume you will no maybe okay it looks good yeah it looks good this is the one it's two movies isn't it oh uh potentially if this one does well they're going to make the other half yeah other half okay yeah cuz yeah it's it's yeah first mov meant to be when they and then the second movies when they're older or something that's right yeah speaking of stepen King I saw the trailer for Dark Tower today oh yeah looks interesting yeah it yeah it does I don't know I don't know yeah it could be good it could be yeah it could yeah to over the top action yeah or it could be

good I just what I don't want the kind of level of cheese that something like the Hunger Games has cuz it's it definitely looks like it's supposed to fit into that genre uh right but uh the trailer is pretty good Idis Ela yeah as the Gunslinger doing some pretty cool [ __ ] with guns yeah yeah I'm uh I will need to give it a go yeah I know what you mean I'm going to pass on that one fair enough yeah fair enough I don't know why steephen King doesn't really do a lot for me have we actually talked about what we're talking about here we're talking about a robotic movie did we say that yeah we did okay yeah we did okay but no from what I've said here it's only EV now claiming this is a priority project and

it'll be moving forward quickly okay how in Earth do Robotech become a priority project yeah that is weird is there license about to run out or something yeah it could be because Sony don't own this property this is something they would have had to have licensed yeah yeah cuz yeah like not a lot of people know Robotech it's not like a Transformers or anything well I only know this cuz everyone time everyone looks at my tattoo they ask is that Optimus Prime or something and did you roll your eyes Transformer is that verite veritech yeah it's what they're called oh pardon my ignorance well so yeah I'm I'm I'm I'm excited but yeah I'm just also not

holding my breath still no I wouldn't you might die waiting I think it's going to be a while if at all and uh I mean they haven't even called you yet about your your role so and obviously we'll we'll share the the photos you know your your casting audition photos that we uh that we did for you yeah that's right me as Max well I guess they haven't called us because they've already seen them you know I mean they're easily found online scroll back through our Facebook so they probably cast the problem might be they haven't called me yet cuz I don't have to worry about trying to negotiate contract cuz I'm going to sign whatever they put in front of me so yeah they know you're in I'm not going to get paid a lot they know you're in I waste

money on a phone call yeah yeah and that's I'm willing to make that sacrifice for this movie they're probably waiting for you to call them and accept the job all right I'll try and hunt down their number all right good or maybe I'll just get contact with Andy Andy he's the new director okay very good before we go did you guys watch the full trailer for stranger things season two which we'll share uh I'm no doubt we you know we'll share that around this week I was watching it while until just before this I only saw the first half of it were you going to say while we were talking about something else I'm now watching it now yes so yes uh and yes Matt I I watched the [ __ ] out of

this that they have done such a good job with the with the trailers for The oh I just this just looks really good yeah um I'm I'm a little concerned because I think it's hard to follow up something like stranger things well I'm also a little concerned because this is completely different to what they originally planned for the second season yeah and they're releasing it very quickly so it's a have they just adapted what they were going to do and made it back in the 8S again or they rush through a script and it's going to be crap yeah like the fact that you know the the characters we know and love her back which is okay good cuz we liked them but were they supposed to come back cuz and then now you know spoilers uh 11's

back like cuz yeah the the second season was meant to be the '90s so it was meant to be I think it's still meant to be about them but it was meant to be when they've grown up much like it yeah but then the network went well who's to say that the success of the of those actors so cast them again yeah but they all look the same age well like these kids don't look like they've grown up at all I saw um Dustin at uh which which ComiCon was I at where he was he was was there Dustin did you say hi uh no I could have but I I always feel awkward about that I think I mentioned before like because you can go up and talk to them if you want but then I don't know I feel weird just going up and like I'm

not paying hi I'm not going to pay you any money for an autograph or anything just wanted to say hello like I feel weird doing that what am I gonna say to him hello young man thaty son I I an old man in my late 30s appreciate your work that doesn't sound creepy at all when you're speaking to a small child exactly has anyone heard anything come out of ComiCon yet uh I've seen a bunch of trailers I watched this morning yeah uh you watch the trailer uh the Westworld second season yes I did yes doesn't give a lot away but uh raises some interesting questions does it does indeed cuz that's

not du to come out till next year is it no that's right taking their time good yeah uh I I I watched the Justice League trailer just cuz I had to and I'm still I'm sorry everyone I just don't think it looks very good M it looks [ __ ] awful it looks awful it does when do you think they're going to pull the plug I don't know I I think they're definitely going to do another Wonder Woman oh yeah exactly yeah but if this bombs I reckon they'll they'll pull the plug on all the others well yeah I think I think Batman's already got a big question mark over it as it is yeah cuz wasn't Affleck was going to

direct yep then he's not doing that and he was going to write it yeah and now he's not doing that yeah they booted his script well he did write it and then they said nah we're GNA get another script that's the rumor anyway yeah and then there was a rumor the other week that he's not he's doesn't even want to play the character anymore but but apparently at ComiCon he said no no no [ __ ] that I'm Batman I'm good because they've gone up to him gone see this contract you signed yeah your you see he's in trouble this week on the internet yes because because of Kevin Smith Kevin Smith exactly Kevin Smith uh was giving a talk somewhere I don't know where but he does do that kind of stuff so out um and mentioned that um on the set of Chasing

Amy which is anyone remembers that kind of maybe one of the the Lesser known Kevin Smith movies from the mid90s I liked that one I'm not a good Kevin Smith fan but I liked that one uh but Ben Affleck has a gay kiss in the movie and mused to Kevin Smith at the time that uh kissing a dude was uh the hardest challenge he'd ever faced as an actor and uh that was 20 years ago that he said that but only this week Kevin Smith has reminded people that he said it and now everyone like oh you disgusted by gays are you but there's also been like female actresses come out and go and come out go you think we like just kissing random guys or try acting about try acting out getting raped and like my like the guy from M SCH High

School mhm he's the only one who's allowed to Ben Affleck that guy yeah that guy his name's Matthew not me it's not me it's not me I don't know friend ofs but even with his I don't think Ben Affleck actually come out and said anything about it and it's just been of course he's not he's keeping his mouth shut he should cuz [ __ ] it [ __ ] off like so what I I I would have said that too in the 90s if I had to kiss a guy so shut up like it was the '90s it was a different time yeah we didn't like kissing guys back then no but now now we love it fine now show me a guy I'll got to get past the first couple and then no seriously imagine imagine you had been asked to kiss a guy in a [ __ ] school play say right in the '90s you wouldn't
