[Music] welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy I've been thinking about this I've been thinking about this for a long time okay as in since about 9:00 this morning well that's in the future it is in the future for you but for me it was a long time ago oh okay when did Batman become a billionaire when did Bruce Wayne first become a billionaire because for a long time he was just a millionaire and that was a lot of money yes okay I get you st I was see I was going to say when his dad died and left him all the money but you're talking about when did his net worth increase enough to combat inflation yeah

cuz he used to be like a millionaire and that's what he was he was but now recently he's just been a billionaire well I guess at some point they were like hey guys uh Batman's not that wealthy anymore no one's going to believe this and they just had to bump up his net worth a bit or maybe he may I know that he made so much money off licensing ah have to be something like that but for some reason it just popped into my head oh it's like that that joke in uh Austin Powers where Dr Evil wants a million dollars and everyone's like it's not that much yeah right I do remember when a million dollars was a lot we watched um oh this is a segue uh it's something that's in the spreadsheet but it's uh on topic we watched the

craft the craft remember the craft in 1996 my sister loved that movie well I think I think a lot of people our age love that movie including me so um more girls than guys though but I don't know about that but all right maybe maybe I should have should put The Feelers out on people's opinions of this film before I uh before I said I I also enjoyed it I'm just I'm just making fun but the well it does it hold up yeah it's all right I think it would they're they're rebooting that aren't they oh are they I don't know I know there's a there's a series on Hulu that's uh I mean it's Loosely related cuz it it's called light as a feather or something which I guess is not owned by the craft that's no kids just do that right light as a feather

stiff as a board board it's witches and stuff it seemed somewhat similar in theme but just had to look so it's something that comes up every down again evidently they were going to make a sequel and this was a couple of years ago so it's it's one of those things that so someone's got the rights to it and they're trying to put fers out to is now the time to bring back and make money right yeah what happened to fer bulk I'm wondering now who F the she plays Nan at you know the main witch she she's kind of oddl looking um oh yes she was sort of she sort of yeah was sort of around quite a bit around the craft and then sort of disappeared oh she was in the water boy well and actually yeah the Return to Oz is the film that I the The Return to

Oz and the craft are the two films that I know her from I don't think I've seen many of the others but um yeah okay just wonder what she's up to these days anyway my point was going to be that is there's a scene in the movie where uh thanks to their new magical powers uh Nancy is able to cause her I guess stepfather to have a heart attack and he dies uh he's like you know that abusive stepfather and they're all well she's not sad about it my mom's sad about it until the uh the guy from the company comes and tells them that he had an insurance policy and they have $175,000 mhm and they they like start freaking out and they buy like this top floor [ __ ] apartment in what I don't know I

guess they live in LA in this they buy like a top floor apartment and then like all this stuff and I was like so when we were younger like a million dollar was a lot of money this is 175,000 y like come on man how even if I think about if I was to win a million dollar today yes nothing changes in my life except I don't pay rent anymore I just own a house I get up I go to work like it's it's it's not retirement money anymore yeah no I would yeah you'd have to find I maybe buy like some rental properties and uh and be on my way to some Financial Independence but I'm certainly not financially independent with just a million dollars yeah you you'd be well off you'd be you some of you if worries about stuff look if if a listener wants to head to patreon and give us aill

get to negotiate terms of my employment on that level but hey why not I'm assum you go k i I might be very wrong you do get to you're you're the kind of person that would ask though whereas I'm I'm usually a bit more reserved oh but I would I would only be asking if I had that million doll making that clear need that million dollars first you're going on uh you've what is that thing that you're doing at work you've got like where you work my sabatical yes yeah you're doing that that's that's interesting in 2021 I have the entire year off really yep you might be able to uh get on board production of Guardians of the Galaxy 3 then that was like a weird

segue that I didn't plan but it works it does see now I'm confused because gy Galaxy volume 3 they've just announced that production has been delayed to 2021 I thought they'd stopped production completely like it was this movie is not happening anymore and I we keep saying we're not going to talk about it but like all the news about it is just so like bizarre like 2021 that's like so far away and I wonder it's actually not it's really not it's three years man they want they pump these things out every year like for for the pace of the Marvel films it's it's forever and it makes me wonder there's still three Marvel movies a year coming out still well three [Laughter]

minimum um makes me wonder if some people's contracts may have expired by 2021 maybe that that's got something to do with it wonder if they're thinking about replacing or just you know I don't think you could replace people well you could if say somebody when they come back from being turned to dust they also change their features yeah that or this is their big plan yeah that or say someone like Dave Batista who has maybe talked a bit of [ __ ] because of because of what happened and they don't necessarily think he's going to be a team anymore yeah he's he's not going to be a team player it seems he's he definitely is not conforming as they would have wanted to the to the brand and so maybe uh I could see them replacing him

it's a tough call and it isn't because like I think his his Drax is [ __ ] bankable but also he's a loose cannon so but but he could still appear in other Marvel films that was what I was going to say like so they could they could kind of resolve that like because he's probably got contracts that state he's got to be in a certain number of films certain number of films but no I sort of looking at that I don't know how to say this it's um with an ensemble cast I think it's going to be easy to replace like Captain America and Iron Man but I don't for me it's harder to replace an ensemble cast like the Guardians I was like that sounds funny but I yeah I do agree with you like although just someone else can just be Captain America and no one will notice but draxx but but you're saying because of

the the Dynamics between them all yeah yeah yeah yeah absolutely yeah I guess they're going to have to replace well Chris Evans is done now whatever happens in Avengers 4 Chris Evans is done which I think is a weird spoiler in a way it's weird that they're like being so open about that I still don't I still don't think people should be allowed to leave shows just lock them in for if the shows are still doing well they have to keep working everyone goes to work jobs they hate why not movie stars yeah do you know what we talked about this then we how you know suck it up cuz it's not yeah suck it up the people who are paying lots of money to keep you into the life you're a custom going a shitty jobs that are a lot worse than what you have to put up with but did I tell you

for six month a year I don't know we talked about this on the show uh I because you know I'm doing the Whole 30 last day is tomorrow by the way so today and tomorrow and then I can have a beer I'm drinking today this is my first drink I've had since the surgery have you that's approved or has Hannah just gone to bed Hannah's gone to bed I really want wanted one oh my God I'm have to D you to my head so buckle up [Laughter] audience so [ __ ] what was that we just gotten distracted now see this is what we needed dead for this episode because yeah i' started drinking and yeah this is just happening now so because of the Whole 30 I I was looking up stuff and then YouTube and the internet started recommending me things and I saw it was

quite a long video it was a series of uh interviews with all the cast of various films about the the kind of training and diet regime they have to go through to get in shape like uh you know one of the scars guards I forget which one for Tarzan uh Chris Evans uh Chris Hemsworth all the Chris's um just talking oh and and Hugh Jackman just about what they going to do to to get into the physical condition for those films and it's [ __ ] rough man like yeah they can they got to eat like oh Marky Mark uh Mark Walberg talking about it he um you know that just you've got to eat like 20 chickens a day and like you work out they work out like like hours and hours a day to look like that and uh Chris that's work

though that's what you that's what you applied for that's the job you got that's what you're getting paid for fair enough but [Laughter] um yeah fair enough it's just I don't know I just don't I don't know I cannot understand I think what's bad it's really bad for them especially like um oh what's his name Wolverine yep Hugh akman actually Hugh akman yeah when he um cuz he'd go from being like watering like having to bulk up and then he'd go off and do something else where he had to slim down then you have to bulk up and slim down sort of like dude you're making this harder on yourself than it needs to be I know and he's got to dehydrate himself to to get them the muscle definition apparently that's the

big bodybuilders do that I believe you just don't just before a show yeah yeah but [ __ ] man that can't be good for you and the other thing is Chris hemworth was talking about how he cuz for Thor he's got to be [ __ ] big and apparently he's not naturally that big and it's actually he's got to like eat he's got to eat more than he's even comfortable eating he's got to like force himself to [ __ ] eat food that he doesn't want and then like work out to get that big and I'm like you know what that does sound a bit [ __ ] yeah but then look at the paycheck and he did know that going in you're not wrong you're not wrong however he has already made enough money we we're talking about $1 million I guarantee you they've got more than $1 million and they don't don't need I

don't even know why Robert Danny Jr needs to do anything anymore I think because dish just pays him a lot of money and look he's not really well Iron Man does a lot in the show actually he's probably he's I mean I'm sure it's not easy easy but he's probably he's definitely got it easier than [ __ ] Hemsworth and and like Chris Evans who've got to get their muscles out yeah when Iron Man's there and Iron Man's walking around he's not actually there yeah just need just got to filed his head talking he basically just needs to not be fat and he's fine yeah that's why I think he's the one that will he doesn't want to go anywhere he's just he's quite happy to do this for the rest of his life yeah what's that you want to just

CGI my face onto onto onto Tony Stark do it and pay me a lot of money go ahead y he's got like $150 million a movie or something ridiculous I have seen what they get paid but yeah you know but well that just to show money they get a fortune but then like the extras and the people who are making it yes they don't no no like the people who actually do all the work they do all the the I mean look sorry I don't mean to belittle actors right because they do they do do a lot of work but also so does the guy who [ __ ] CGI the you know the the Iron Man suit and he doesn't get paid as much he gets paid a wage like we do I'm I'm sure and no one knows his name that's right if you're the guy who cgis

Gonic it's a it's a i ped a normal drink which was a mistake I've realized that now I'm only about halfway in I'm stopping so which is about two genics technically speaking yeah yeah all right all right it seemed like a good idea before cuz I've been I've been hanging out for like I don't know how you've done 30 days I've gone like two weeks yeah but see I'm not an alcoholic B that's the difference I only I just drink casually I am looking forward to a nice glass of wine um wine you drink wine now I [ __ ] love red wine man it's so good I've I've tried wine every now and again and it's just not not for me yeah no I'm into it I I could go with Gonic I could go I'm looking forward to uh a glass of wine on Tuesday M cuz Tuesday's

the day what I'm going to do is I'm going to I'm going to eat a a [ __ ] Pizza which is I'm sure going to make me feel like complete [ __ ] but I just love pizza so I'm just going to I'm going to eat some I'm not going to eat a whole pizza I'm going to eat some pizza and I'm going to have a glass of wine on Tuesday and then I'm going to have a beer at trivia on Wednesday and then I'm going to try and just basically continue most of the Whole 30 with a few cheap days with yeah with a couple cheat days yep see I am so jealous of your Tuesday now my Tuesday is going to consist of me getting into a bath because I can't have a shower cuz I can't stand yeah and taking off my dressing that's over oh my scars to see how see if it's healed and how the scar

is going to look all right interesting and then you have to put another dressing on I assume no no this is the final take off this is all good this is a reveal I've seen it before but I saw it last week I saw a photo of it when they changed the dress right looked a bit purple yeah that was the day and so that's all I've seen of it that that one day and then it's been covered up again but I I'm I don't know how I did this as a kid yeah yeah because you got a lot of surgery as a child yeah like that'd be like I know you didn't go to school who but I know Dan did and Dan would probably be used to I would go to school and then disappear for 3 months right right that's just me going off the surgery yeah and that explains a lot see to be honest it really does but that's so much

easier back then yeah yeah well it's because you're a [ __ ] child you're like too busy playing video games being able to walk yeah it's pretty useful walking really is so you get it you taking it off it's staying off uh that's pretty quick that seems pretty quick to me considering well that's just the dressing off I then still don't get to put any weight on it for another 6 weeks or something okay like that's any weight yeah I know that I guess just that that seems like a a short period of time for the dressing to come off but I I guess I don't I'm not a [ __ ] doctor obviously it just seems pretty quick to me to be considering they were putting another person's bone inside of your leg and then there what's it been like two three weeks been two weeks now so it it'll be

three weeks when it comes off yeah right it's not even it's less time than I've been on this stupid diet yep yeah crazy and then you're already well skin heals pretty quickly yeah fair enough yep and what they've actually explained to me is I can't hurt my leg but my leg will hurt me em the bone that's in it's going to say it's going to say some things but just don't listen to it yeah it's basically saying like with the bone that's in there and the pins and the screws like I can't hurt that that's in there it's quite safe not going to move but if I put weight on my leg it's [ __ ] I'm going to know about it but I won't hurt the leg Yeah okay that was good to know so PX I'm still going to go to P it's going to kill me man but I will be there all right you're going to fly down

flying down mhm you you got any special oh yeah you you got special uh arrangements for the flight I get the wheelchair there wheelchair down there I'll be in there going around on Friday doing interviews with people cool seeing what new games are coming out very good on Saturday keep an eye out for me because um I'm dressing up in Cosplay are you and uh oh yeah no spoilers no spoilers but you're going to want to see this all right well I want to see pictures on the Instagram because otherwise oh they will be oh good good good good cuz yeah this is I'm quite proud of this Hannah came up with this okay and it sort of works in with me having the wheelchair that's all I'm going to say yeah I I assumed it would cuz yeah I'm not going to be walking

on uh on the week's video game news and it's just a quick one yep you'll still be able speak English I assume unless you drink too much yeah unlike this woman Hannah Jenkins in England who uh I saw this article the other day on the BBC she uh she was bike riding in uh in England and she collided with another cyclist and was kind of knocked unconscious and when she woke up in the hospital she couldn't figure out where she was because everyone was speaking some foreign language and she was really confused and so she kept talking to them and saying what's going on what's going on but they couldn't understand her and uh and eventually they called they got in touch with her H her partner I'm not sure if it's a husband it says partner

whatever yep we don't need labels her partner uh which is a label uh was actually over in the US in Montana clim climbing a [ __ ] Mountain uh when he got a text from her in German right which she learned German as a child CU her parents were German yeah and he doesn't speak German and so they obviously don't normally communicate in that language and he was like so he sort of got back go so he got in contact with them and goes I don't know either yeah so she's texted him this is like apparently this is like days after the accident she's texted him in German uh and he only can only understand two words dog and hospital and he was like

the [ __ ] but he figured out something was wrong flew home okay turns out the accident obviously she sustained head damage she can't speak or understand English anymore it like knocked the English language out of her she I've heard of stuff like this happening before but isn't it scary that's [ __ ] terrifying this is one of those things when I when I was young I watched that film regarding Henry with Harrison Ford do you know that movie I know of it he gets shot in the head during a a robbery and like loses his memory and his ability to walk and it really Disturbed me when I was young because the idea that that you you can

be changed is a little disturbing you know what I mean like a brain injury can can do that like people's personalities and stuff get changed it's like creepy right I'm just thinking how screwed I would be cuz if you knock out English yes you got nothing I've got nothing well apparently the the they think uh German because her parents spoke German at home so so they would know multiple languages technically German's the first language she spoke so they think maybe if if English had been her first language like like so technically English is a second language yeah like and so I guess with the I don't know how I'm not a [ __ ] linguist if only Dan was here a professor of linguistics maybe he could speak to this but

um I guess maybe your your first language is like your Bas and then you build off it that's that's my nonprofessional opinion of how this probably works but it just depends on what part of the brain gets affected to me like if it had have gone a bit to the left that might have been German she doesn't know anymore the German region of her brain yeah yeah I don't know yeah we really don't understand how the brain works but yeah yeah but it's fun to speculate uh so I wonder if you could learn a language because they do you know people have like uh episodes and they start speaking other languages but generally I think they discover that they somehow learned it right I don't think you can just you'd have to you can't just start speaking if you've

never had exposure to it I just as I'm saying it I'm realizing how nonsensical that is cuz it's literally impossible but so they must have at some point been familiar with the language but yeah so uh as far as I'm aware she still uh she's had to relearn English and she now speaks it poorly because she it's gone all the knowledge of the English language is gone and that's so [ __ ] weird and like I obviously yeah I don't speak another language so if took English away from me I can barely speak English y I don't know I don't know how these people and like Hannah's one of them who can just she's not fluent in other languages but she knows enough to

be able to get by danger she got us around Japan yeah she's pretty good french I can say phrases but Asian languages are tough to learn as a well for me anyway as a as a ignorant English speaker although apparently English is the most complicated of languages but uh I think like the Asian languages have a different base completely like you know languages like German and French are like tangential to English like whereas I think some of the languages that develop very independently from us uh are like completely different like the r the rules don't apply yeah the well they don't have this thing where one word can mean 10 different things that we yeah yeah man [ __ ] um I think it's German German is like so much simpler

than English English has got well not not only that we got words that mean the same thing and then we've also got like 20 words for everything in English MH just keep making them up because we keep absorbing other languages into it and then like well just change it a little bit there you go it's English now i' like to learn another language I don't know which you should do it what language would you learn if you could well let's say you didn't have to do have any effort what language would you just want to know if you could just have it kind of Matrix style implanted into your brain if I was smart I'd probably go let's assume you are because you've had this idea what was it I'd probably go Mandarin sure okay yeah y cuz I feel that whatever the

dominant Chinese is I'm not sure yeah probably one of the two cuz I I think of also like Germany and French and all that but that I feel I can get bu with English a lot easier oh yeah sure in in sort of the Europe y countries whereas so that's why it's probably better to learn that but it's not going to happen no matter what so yeah but look I think at at this you can safely assume any country you go to they will speak better English than you speak whatever they speak that's that's my policy and that's not to I don't mean that listeners to say that I'm one of those rude people that's like no [ __ ] speak English cuz that's just rude but no no I I I just let Hanah do to talking and I just I smile I make an effort but but

understand that that almost certainly anyone I encounter in that country speaks English better than I speak their language because just get yourself apart speak the language and you'll be fine just a girlfriend in every country and you'll be Han is telling me cuz we're going to France oh yeah in next year that I have to actually learn some phrases they do like it when you when you speak their language I suppose every country does except every country does but I believe that French French people they really like it and they're bit insulted that if you don't even try yeah make an effort make an effort bonjour sup as again um I'm trying to remember how to

say jeel Matthew my name is Matthew there you go what [ __ ] up too yep that'll work you can get away with that in Australia sort of but I don't think it works anywhere else in the world probably not I I received a disturbing email this week I saw this in the spreadsheet what what happened so I've talked about this before uh I've received threatening emails uh apparently people have been filming me jerking off on my computer you got busted again I got busted again apparently uh and this time they actually this this is quite funny I use a password manager right so all my passwords are long nonsensical strings so good luck guessing them like that's this how my

passwords work and people think I'm crazy but whatever that's my system and they're all stored in a password manager called one password and I don't need to know them the second so works that out you're [ __ ] Works what out the oh no that's all that's heavily incre yeah so okay if you figure out the password to that that's then I am screwed except it's all two factor and blah look stop it stop stop trying to SC everyone set up two factor for everything yeah just [ __ ] do it like it's so and don't use the same password because uh there have been a number of online websites right that didn't secure people's data correctly and then they got hacked and then people now know a password that is associated with your email right so just because Facebook won't get hacked if you

use the same well they might I'm just people might think they wouldn't cuz they're so big but if you use the same password for Facebook that you use for some [ __ ] dating site or just some online Forum or just any any any web any small website right the small website gets hacked they didn't encrypt the passwords correctly now they know your password and if it's the same one you use for your banking well just they now know you're banking password yeah just use different passwords and use strong passwords please people but anyway there's been a leak uh the company DigiTech which make guitar products uh got hacked at some point I believe and my password for that website was amongst those recovered by the

hackers M uh and it's associated with one of my email addresses and so I've been receiving emails saying we know that your password for this email account is this uh oh wow so you need to you sort of gone it's not that password anymore no I'm not going to reply to these people but I know you're not going to reply but but I got this one the other day uh this was similarly the the subject line was we know your password is whatever uh and it says you can visit the police station but they will not solve your problem I am Foreigner it means they will not even track me for 5 months this is my last warning we upload a malware on your device we add access to your web camera during your horn site visit and now I have the video with you touching your intimate

political statement uh about going on in Iran Iran and the the woman that she referenced apparently had something to do with a deal between the US and Iran it was all to do with that and she was making some kind of analogy between the the the the Jewish people in in that area of the world rising up like Planet of the Apes or something like that listen to the the podcast if you want to try and understand it she uh she is crazy and uh and you know what I came out of it thinking you know maybe she's telling the truth cuz she's she's a bit crazy maybe she didn't actually intend it the way people took it people people assume she was comparing the woman physically to an to an ape

Apparently that is not the case she she was trying to do some something a little more highbrow than that to do with politics and and going on and she actually said she's a she's a an she a mature woman and successful comedian she doesn't bother making jokes about the way people look anymore so I don't know whatever but um yeah she she thinks that they they made her character die of a drug overdose because they're trying to to mind control her into committing suicide in real life what she also said that she uh she she can tell who the reptilians are and if you look closely so sorry sorry what well you you you can figure it out too you just have to look for the for the

details that's uh yeah the reptilians yeah so I'm not quite sure what what what is it that you don't understand about that so she's completely insane now oh yes yes that yes yeah she uh she said she it's a pretty good listen I don't know if if you like Jo Rogan I think Joe's pretty good as an interviewer cuz he just lets people kind of hang themselves with their own her own stories but uh yeah she she mentions David Ike at one point oh I think she mentions reptilians and he mentions David Ike who we've talked about in the show before uh who believe that the the the world is run by reptilians who disguise themselves as humans and she says that she can tell who they are

she's got the ability to see them for what they really are and she kind of glosses over it a bit and I was a little upset like Joe does press her on it but she doesn't seem to to go into details she say she can't say who it who they are too dangerous I guess yeah yeah but you can tell because they're something about their necks get long and then their tongue like flicks out to the side like a lizard you can tell who you can tell you can definitely tell yeah who do you think's a reptilian I reckon um I Roseanne might be she's trying to throw people off by saying it's others exactly I was going to say is the maybe the Australian prime minister cuz it's all people in power who I who is the prime minister right

everything will happen around you how I look at it fair enough we've got some Star Wars news do you want to talk about Star Wars I always want to talk about Star [Music] Wars the Mandalorian I didn't like the sound of this show when I first really heard about it but I'm start starting to grow on me a lot more yeah cuz it's it's not [ __ ] compared to well it looks like it's maybe not going to be [ __ ] compared to some of the other stuff I'm just hoping that with it being Mandalorian and they just maybe just stay away from it's not going to be a clone just please don't make it a clone just make it a Mandalorian and just stay away from it's not Boba Fett the Star War Stories we know well

apparently I don't even know how Mandalorian work anymore so for listeners who don't know for listeners who don't know a Mandalorian is mandalorians were like a a race of people or like a they were sort you could mandalorians would take on people from any race and they would become Mandalorian oh okay so it's more like that was just sort like a nomadic type of thing right oh okay yeah sure but then in the Clone Wars the cartoon series they changed it right and it I don't know exactly how I think it became like as is an actual race of aliens or something so I'm not quite sure I'm hoping that they go with the original story that I knew and there

were some really good books about this well they've got to go with the whatever the current Cannon is they've got to go with right isn't it the rules yeah it is the rules but with the way they're doing this it's really looking like they are going with the sort of original type of thing that the Menan cuz this guy doesn't look like an alien from the picture I've seen I know he's got a helmet on I know what you mean he doesn't look like the aliens from the cartoon well and Boba Fett is a Mandalorian and so is Jango Fett right or no they wore Mandalorian armor right well this well then that [ __ ] now I'm yeah this is where the when they changed it in the Clone War it's completely confused everything this is before they got rid

of the other what is what are they fantasies um Legends before Legends came around theyed B yeah because now I'm like this guy's a Mandan he just looks like Boba Fett like with different color armor but so [ __ ] I don't know what they do but that's what yeah that's what the mandalian by a nomadic people yeah that would and their leader was known as Mandalore and Boba Fett was actually Mandalore for a while and um oh okay yeah they were just sort of they were sort of a they were basically race Warriors yeah okay and but yeah I as I said not quite sure anymore but this I'm I'm hoping this is actually good and stays away from the Skywalkers yes please we don't need any of that stuff I like the

Skywalkers don't get me wrong but we don't need more of them though don't I don't need more stories from that few set of people in the universe no it's a big [ __ ] yeah exactly there there's a a a big universe out there there's like millions of planets show us something else we don't need any of the characters that have already been in anything to be in it no well the news this week is that uh John favro who's who wrote and uh well he's kind of running the show uh it's being directed by various people including Tao whitei is doing an episode he's directing an episode I'm looking forward to that yeah uh Bryce dallis Howard is directing an episode which is interesting so R Howard's daughter it's sort of weird that they're having so many it seems like something you'd bring

in extra directors in in sort of a second season oh well TV shows are often you know episodes are directed by different people so it's just this is kind of a star studed cast of directors yeah but it's to me i' sort of you'd set the tone with the first few with one director and then bringing in others once the show's rolling yeah yeah I guess well favro I assume is doing at least one episode so right yeah he'd probably have to do the first few and then the El would come in well he's been he's been posting some picks on uh Instagram one of which was a picture of we're assuming this is the mandalorian's rifle and it's a gun and it may look familiar to some of you in particular uh listener Nate recently watched something

where he would have uh he would have seen this it's the gun that Boba Fett well look looks like the gun that Boba Fett has in the Star Wars holiday special in the cartoon That Boba Fett appears in in the holiday special I'm really liking yeah it's it's a a bold Choice it's it's it's it's probably the first I mean it's a cool looking gun nod yeah to to the holiday special to the holiday special that there's ever been and listeners you I'm pretty sure it's not making it Cannon the holiday special no man listen if you haven't seen the holiday special watch it's amazing I love it it's painful it's so bad yeah but it is very funny is very funny in a awful way but okay but if you are going to

watch it I will give you some advice skip the sort of first 10 to 15 minutes oh of just Wookie speaking in wook and just nonsensical things happening mhm yeah you can skip that because I think a lot of people start watching it and they get to that and then they tune out it gets even better if you can get past that would you skip the uh the sequence where Chewy's Uncle itchy watches a pornographic film would you skip that bit yep you would oh interesting no I would not I would would watch it and then send him an email that says we have a video of you touching your intimate Parts give me $360 that's what that's the translation in m that's my skill remember I won a wook competition at the uh the Star Wars

burles show I don't remember much that night no you know what that doesn't surprise me I was very drunk yeah so that's that's happening and and also uh he tweet he tweeted he uh instagrammed a photo of George Lucas on set George Lucas is there hanging out so unlike certain other Star Wars uh properties apparently George Lucas is uh is into this one he was into solo as well he he uh he gave into Rogue one as well yeah I I mean look maybe he he did pop up for a visit for the for the for awakens in The Last Jedi but I don't think so no I I I don't think so I think he's staying away from those ones yeah he's just po they but yeah I think Rogue one I think he was there for yeah he was definitely there for that because he actually spoke about how many physical sets they were

doing right yeah I know cuz George remember he wants to get rid of physical sets yes George is like George fascinates me he has some good ideas and then he has some [ __ ] ideas yeah yes I think he needs someone was a great idea absolutely he needs someone there to say no that one's a [ __ ] one yeah but yeah he was on set for solo because he he gave him a that we probably talked about this you know that scene where Han's talking to Kira in the in Lando's Cape room and she's trying on a cape and then in the original version of it he takes the cape offer and like hangs it back up and then George Lucas apparently said to Ron Howard Han wouldn't bother hanging it up he'd throw it on the floor and

then yep yeah I was like you know what that's a good idea you know exactly that's that's the George we like see I actually just CU I got a lot of Lego for while I was off and I actually just finished building the Millennium Falcon from the castle Millennium Falcon yep with the Escape pod on the front that I still think is the superest thing they came up with cuz they put it in for one thing for one scene in the movie it just here's something else how does I don't know if you recall this how does Ray get on board snoke's ship in the Last Jedi do you remember doesn't she get shot out of a scap pod thing yeah from the Millennium Falcon it's a tube thing thing yeah from the it's not that big

yeah yeah there you go are you annoyed now I'm even more annoyed not not not at the fourth awaken not at the Last Jedi ATO yeah yep I saw uh a clip of it the other day and I was like what I forgot that happened yeah because I I even though what I maybe he was maybe thinking that reason why we have to have the Escape pod in here is because in a new hope they say the pod's been jettisoned yeah yeah but they saw the ship taking off so layers that's what an escape pod look like it is yeah there's layers to to the to the silliness and look I'm sure someone's going to argue and say oh I just got those added later

by hand or something all right fine whatever doesn't matter it doesn't matter give me my X-Wing television show it's all I want that would be good I want batt Star Wars Battle Star Galactica maybe you could write and direct it maybe that's what maybe they're not doing it because they're waiting for you to do it ah I mean that makes sense right they would they listen to this show they do still a lot of my ideas and I am right A lot of the time so yeah that's true maybe they should want me to do it so we know it's done right but come on tell me you wouldn't watch the [ __ ] out of that yeah absolutely I would I've been wanting Star Wars TV show for a long time like a you know like a good one obviously I even thought um you know they talked about doing one

in between episodes three and four uh which actually the mandalorean I think is isn't it or this is no um no this is after the fall of the Empire so I think it's yeah I think it's before the first ORD around right okay they cuz they talked about doing one about the Jedi being hunted down and and like I mean that'd be cool if you cuz if you had to have Jedi in it that'd be cool like the Inquisition I remember that I did not like that one cuz that one just reinforces the prequels happened I don't think you can get away from that I think they're in there now and that was still going with Order 66 oh yeah that was a bit cheesy yeah see cuz I was thinking you could have like

you know like a set it out on the outer rim and then you've got like Smugglers and bounty hunters and stuff and then like a you know a Jedi on the Run who is trying to hide the fact that they're a Jedi but they've got like you know a light sabers hidden away somewhere yeah but the big problem with that is I think that's actually what they've done with one of the cartoons though is but there's sort of no way for you to go with that series because they all yeah they're going to die in the end because they don't rock up that's a good point yeah that's how they they [ __ ] that up with um I [ __ ] it up because I don't care the the force awakens how they've got what's it he's The Inquisitor right actually that's what that game is about isn't it now that I'm

thinking about it he hunts down the Jedi yes so I've basically just stolen that idea uh except made it less stupid because he he is ridiculously overpowered and he pulls [ __ ] Star Destroyers out of the sky I believe and then and then they said yeah no that's Canon he's around during the time of of of A New Hope The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi but he felt like he didn't want to get involved yeah but also if you play the game he's also the start of the Rebellion oh is he I should play that game is it is the game it's a great game yeah it's good I actually did enjoy the G I actually really even enjoyed the book the book wait no see now I know you you pull on my leg because I know you don't read oh sorry poor choice of words

sorry Luke shouldn't have said pull on the leg that's the play the first game do not play the second game really y why what's wrong with the second one it's not very good all right can you be more specific all right fine what's what I just it's I don't know the first one was really good and then I think the second one was just uh we have to rush this we have to make a second one cuz the first one did so well so let's oh all right make money whereas you know I've played the first part of the first one you cuz play as Darth Vader at the start yeah I've played that a bunch of times just cuz that bit was great and then I don't know just just didn't play it anymore after

that so I should check it out I think I have the uh it's out on the Xbox one right it's backwards compatible I'm pretty sure I have both them yeah it have to be yeah Dark Souls came out on the switch this week have you played your switch again yet no I took it in the hospital but then when someone get gave me a laptop to take with me I just used a laptop and I played tell games man I love the switch I don't know what it is you know what I don't even I use it away from home a little bit but not a huge amount it's just nice to be able to just grab it and play it no matter why I don't have to turn the TV on you know like if Jenna wants to watch something on the TV I can just sit there with the switch it's just nice man it's cool good console it's got some some

cool games on it dark souls is out on it uh and I was I've never played Dark Souls I've played a little bit of it uh and I I've always wanted to I have I mean I have the original version backwards compatible on the Xbox I don't have the remastered one but I looked and people are complaining that the switch version's got really bad sound like it's all heavily compressed and it's missing sounds and stuff but then I don't know if I would notice because I didn't play the original yeah so maybe it doesn't matter I think yeah I don't I don't think it matters if if you're playing it and you're enjoying it you're you're enjoying it that's allowed I don't know if it is it allowed just because other people don't like the sound doesn't mean that you're allow to enjoy it I don't

know sometimes I can't tell these days Luke people on the internet I know it feels that way for a lot of things never understood this but no you're allowed no I think I have to be upset about it no the internet's not always right oh man all right fine I'll take you word for it do you remember a little while ago the internet got really upset because of the Spider-Man game puddlegate puddlegate with people okay so there were in the trailer yes there were lots of Puddles and it looked beautiful and some people got some review copies and went where are the puddles I did I do remember that [ __ ] it's crap and then they actually came out and went no no no it's it's real it's just you're in a different part of the city and it was a

different time of day and and then the game came out and they went oh yeah there are puddles people just overreact very quickly yeah they they don't like to think that they've been had one pulled over on them remember the um it's the classic uh E3 demo thing where they would they would show a game at E3 and it would be like oh my God look at this amazing Killzone 2 remember that Killzone 2 video they famously showed and then it's like oh my God it looks real and then they like okay A year later here's the game it's like wait what what that's not what we saw last year but yeah I think with that you just have to understand that that's what you

what they show you at E3 is not necessarily what you're going to get I think it's closer these days like I think they're less likely to um to to [ __ ] you around these days because people are so harsh about it is [ __ ] around no it's it's advertising it's like you you're trying trying to sell a product I get and they want to put their best you know put the best version of it Forward here we'll show you this buggy piece of [ __ ] we've got that's got no background or sound there you go get excited I feel like the opposite of that is remember when they showed the Fallout 4 trailer for the first time and it was like oh cool Fallout 4 wow this looks great except it doesn't look great it looks a bit [ __ ] but it looks like Fallout so I believe that it's real like

remember it just wasn't visually it wasn't like mindblowing or anything it was just oh look we made Fallout in the Skyrim engine and it looks like what you would expect yeah and I was happy for that yeah it was it was nice and and and just it wasn't overwhelming it wasn't underwhelming it was just I was just welmed by it it was just like oh that's what I thought it was going to look like cool have you played is Fallout 76 out no it comes out in November all right I don't I don't play betas anymore so I didn't get in on that cuz I don't see the point in playing a beta and I I don't I'm not even sure I'm going to pick up for that 76 but it's going away it's achievements though Luke I know it's got achievements

but it's a game to be played in Co-op yeah you meant to play with people and you don't have any friends we're never going to play with each other no we keep saying we will but it's it's it's never going to happen I've come to that yeah because the the time that we have crossover is now and we do the podcast maybe if we played games while we were doing the podcast that would be different maybe we could do that bear with me on this bear okay maybe we shouldn't talk about this on the podcast all right oh maybe listeners could write in and and tell us if this is a bad idea we could do it as a trial what if we did the podcast the same as we we do it now but we played video games together at the same time and and

and made it a video as well I it's worth a shot I don't think we'd be able to play anything too complex though no but we could maybe play some um C of Thieves or something I don't know as I said too complex that's very complex see if thieves is complex if you have to also try and discuss news at the same time yeah good point look maybe it's not a good idea I just really want to play games with you I just I know I know oh well all right you can help me at the moment okay um cuz Red Dead Redemption 2 comes out this week yes it's ready to be pre-installed It's Already Dead Redemption to be installed yeah so I normally I would not pre-order I just wait till the day they come out but in this case you want it ready to go I just want it ready to go so it comes out the day I'm in packs it

comes out the day pack starts Friday then we don't need it installed but no when I come back on Tuesday yeah you want it ready I want to be able to walk in hit start and play I don't want to have to then sit there and install it for can't you remotely install hours just buy it on the app I'm sure you can do that yeah but sometimes it doesn't actually install or the worst thing that has happened is I've done that at work I've come home and then I've gone your Xbox doesn't have enough space so I haven't installed yet and I'm just delete anything you want so I want to make sure it gets installed I'm [ __ ] running like 100 100 Gig oh Jesus I'm finally running out of space on my 3 terab Drive I think I used to just install every game and now I

can't on the PlayStation 4 I think it's about 96 gig and on the Xbox it's about 105 or something like that what's why the difference that's a big difference why what's the conspiracy why um don't know don't really care maybe the PlayStation is not allowed to have the horse balls that sounds like something they would disallow so looking forward to these horse balls but my question is should I just get the standard edition the special edition or the ultimate edition see the part of me wants to just say this [ __ ] standard edition because that's actually all I get these days cuz I hate all that [ __ ] [ __ ] like just make the [ __ ] game and then here's the game what actually I probably

will what are the what are the extras okay so on the special edition you get content for a story mode including a bank robbery missioning gang hide out that annoys me yeah [ __ ] that should be in the game but then I get a horse yeah and some boosts and some cash bonuses so yeah it's not cheating to get a new outfit no the cash I me oh yeah and then the ultimate includes that and but more bonus outfits for my online character oh yeah I'm just getting standard edition yeah I just I don't want to encourage that stuff bugs me just bugs me like just the game's already [ __ ] expensive just make put the put it in

the game uh no I think games actually honest expensive as they maybe should be these days really how much is a game in Australia now still $100 yeah that's what I thought you don't think that's enough no cuz you look it's been $100 for 30 years well okay interesting is that true like yeah I remember flashback on the Mega Drive yeah was a $100 game all right fair enough the game prices really haven't changed and this is why a lot of Studio are trying to look at ways to increase their revenue yeah what's the most You' what's the most you would pay for a game what would you pay what do you think they should be valued at Australian hly for Australian dollars for a game like red dread

Redemption to get away from all the the crap and everything or even like I'll use fallout Fallout 4 m 150 right well it kind of would be if you bought the expansion pass I guess but the thing is you buy the expansion pass and that they have to De with a sell and the expansions for Fallout 4 were terrible yeah but they're sort of having to do this they're having to go in with this model of we're going to make this game and then we have to try and make more money after we've released it so yeah I'd actually be happy to pay a bit more up front all right well you have it listeners Luke thinks video games should cost $50 let us know what you think yeah I think some games should be more expensive than what they are podcast
