think it is but well you just don't like it I think is what you're trying to say yeah so I don't think it should be popular you don't you don't think they deserve to be popular no but I don't don't I don't actually get to decide who's popular or what's popular that's true yeah we don't let you decide that no I I can enjoy something that's popular but I don't get to decide if it is so what music do you think should be popular scar yeah I knew you were going to say that um any any top bands in particular these days do you listen to new scar bands are there new scar bands or you just listen to classic no Scar's actually making a bit of a comeback I've listened to none of it okay but yeah I I still just listen to just to

good old stuff which is uh real big fish uh danceall crashes uh Nancy Vandal they SC I could go on did Nancy Vandal is scar band probably zero listeners right now know who the [ __ ] Nancy Vandal is so I'd be surprised if any of them know who D Crashers are either well I I certainly don't I've just heard you say the words dance hall crashes before so no one really knows the music I listen to but I still love it of course and I think it should be popular well then all get what we want no I don't want my music to be popular cuz they ruin it what do you mean they rued it well if if like the music I I mean I listen to odd things

like I listen to movie soundtracks and then I listen to metal and I listen to things that are hybrids of those too I suppose and um and a few other odds and ends and I don't really want it to be popular because if it becomes popular then they'll make it sound like the popular music they they kind of like I don't know like homogenize it so that the most amount of people can like it like you kind of have to file the edges off of it sort of no you get to a stage where you become popular and then even though this is the music you might now want to start making all your original fans didn't hate you right it happens a lot yeah cuz people don't like new things mhm no looks like there's there's an interview with um uh why can't remember his name Mike Shinoda

from um Lincoln Park where I think it was actually kids reacting to their old music videos but he was he talks in it about how you know Lincoln Park started as one kind of band and then every album they basically like were a bit different and then yeah after albums they're not even remotely the same kind of band anymore they do like more I guess more poppy stuff but not I don't know but no I just think just what I'm thinking of it's just like cuz when you start listening to pen that's what you like them for when they release a new album it's going to be SL it's going to be different cuz it has to be new songs and they never quite compare to what you first listen to what you first remember them to well his point was that if they just made the Same album over and over

again people people think that's what they want but it's not really what they want like you just like uh their first album Hybrid Theory was good at the time it's not good now if they put out that album again now just change just wrote the same kind of songs but a little bit you know a little bit different CU you got to be new then no one would like that the only way to get new fans is to do new things yeah here here which is why we do the same [ __ ] segments every week yep I know exactly what we need to to get this podcast popular do social media and that's why we'll never be popular cuz we're [ __ ] that's the one thing that we all hate we try we do try

every now and again yeah I just don't like I make notes to myself like I'm going to be from now on I'm going to post on Instagram every day yeah I post one photo and didn't forget about it the problem is I'm I'm just not a social media kind of person I know we've talked about this before but I don't even think about it you if I'm reading I get most of my news from RSS feeds that I subscribe to in an app called reader right and I go through it y throughout the day you know every few hours I'll check it and then I don't I don't go on Facebook and I very rarely go on Twitter and I just don't I don't even think to like it doesn't occur to me to do that and then I'll be going through and I'll find an article that I like and my my habit is that I go oh that's a good

article I flag it for the show yep so that it gets flagged so that I can then put it in the spreadsheet and then I move on I don't even think about sharing stuff on Facebook or or Twitter or anything like that like it it's not that I I don't want want to I guess I could don't even think of it but yeah just yeah it's just it's not even afterthought just don't even think about it so and I don't I don't I know clearly people get addicted to them I just don't just doesn't appeal to me at all I don't know why I don't know what it is I I don't know I think we just missed the crazy I don't know if you were too old or Too Young when it first started no but I know people who are mean people older than me are [ __ ] obsessed with it people young you know I I guess we're not

like I just I don't know we kind of just always talk to our to each other anyway true yeah and like I know you're not on there and I know Dan's not on there very often so it's like I'll just talk to you on the weekend and it's not that I don't you know you know the other thing is too I think like most of the people that I know on Facebook don't give a [ __ ] about what we're talking about no not at all so it's like I guess that as well is a factor like we've got I think it's even what I think like a lot of people say the only reason they use Facebook and all those things is to keep in touch with people but like I'm terrible at that in we talk every we talk every week yeah so we don't need this artificial look high I poked you on Facebook to show that we're interacting but we'

disced interact we didn't do this show every week we wouldn't talk no because we'd be too busy playing video games or doing something [ __ ] solitary cuz we're a bunch of introverted weirdos yep that's why we have to keep doing this yeah listen if you want to see us more on social media just you know let us know give us a nuder down then and put I'm going to unload this on the listeners it's your fault listeners yeah just give us a little nudge and help just tag me in something and I will post something of whatever I'm doing at that time look I'll try remember to post some of this [ __ ] this week uh yeah I just don't like I said don't even think about it it's I guess either it's a habit I've got a form but then again everyone's so negative about

it that I'm like me Pardon Me Maybe I don't want to form the Habit oh no no it's what it thinks that everyone's negative about but they don't stop doing it they [ __ ] love it mate they love it yep Oh i' been I basically when I use most of this Instagram I've been watching I've been watching all the people complain about Shadow bands and I'm just sort of maybe you re why you didn't get so many likes cuz I've seen every single photo you've posted it's not like they've been hidden it's just because wasn't that good oh Zing I don't know that's just everyone seems to complain about Shadow beds yeah I know on Twitter as well and Facebook well I mean there is an algorithm and it's feasible that they just you know

lower the priority on certain people I know like someone people like Alex Jones and people like that complain about that a lot that they get down ranked in the results I mean maybe that's true it's like it's C certainly feasible like cuz they do have there is an algorithm there cuz you do you watch some of the photos that they're posting and there'll be like a series of like 10 photos that they post sort of close together that are all pretty much the same thing but are you saying people who just like day-to-day post mundane day-to-day stuff get Shadow banned no no I'm talking about like celebrities people celebrities yeah like yeah yeah people like like he's he's he's a new or he's a new set he's photo from a new set that's coming out soon and stuff like that and

it's just so you get like 10 photos that are sort of the same maybe people just went yeah I like the first one that that's it move on I just yeah cuz I don't like much stuff on Instagram like if you get a like from me you're Discerning Instagram browser you lucky if I like one thing a week you like more of my dog's photos than mine yep it's because he post I get in trouble because I I'm supposed to post on Dead's Instagram account but I forget I just forget that's what it is listeners it's not that I don't want to I don't even think about it I just completely [ __ ] forget that's why the whole social media thing baffles me people I had to delete the app I'm like just don't I [ __ ] I I have to I have to remember to do it if I'm going to do it okay let let's try just for one week

$25,000 uh and it's control remote controlled um I think with like a little Xbox looking controller from from the descriptions uh and a lot of people were like $225,000 who the [ __ ] is going to pay for that they're flying off the show apparently quite a few people are paying $25,000 or at least 25,000 I think I think it goes up from there oh damn for a us for a custom R2 unit mhm now cuz people make these themselves like I could already have gone out and purchased one for someone who makes them I wonder how much they have been selling them for that's a good question I see them a lot of conventions here like and yeah I mean they're not uncommon and and the design of of R2 is not I guess not

super complicated which is well I guess that was to make him easier to build back then but it means he's I mean I'm not saying I could do it but I can see how other people could build one of these pretty easily so like yeah cuz people have been doing it four years and I've seen some really good ones I wonder yeah 25,000 just seems like a lot well he's got you know the the he comes with the license I suppose to make the beepy boopy noise without copyright infringement and he's got you know what does he do does he do anything it I think he just it says here that the one that's on display in the Droid Depot in Galaxy's Edge rolls around the shop turns around rotates its head and shs at visitors however that's

cuz a guy is controlling him or oh sorry guy or girl is controlling him to make him do it he doesn't just do it so does he do anything on his own so yeah I I I don't know with the I know with the tiny ones you can get you can sort of put them on auto mode yeah there's that [ __ ] red one it's got a projector in it oh wow that one was cool and and the remote control for it is the Millennium Falcon I'd I'd rather have that than one of these big ones well yeah when I go there I'm not going to have the $225,000 to buy one I will however be pick building one of my own but the $100 version Oh the you can build a little one can you you can build a little one are you going to build a lightsaber like I'm also going to build a lightsaber

yeah figured I figured you would I'm going to spend yeah everything that's a reasonable price I'm doing 25,000 not quite reasonable but everything else the $40 cocktail I'm drinking it how how much are the lightsabers 200 200 how are you going to get that home you'll figure it out if it's anything like the oh well cuz they have a blade that attaches well it's not a blade no no no it's a light right it's not an actual light blade I know that we're not let you take a lightsaber on a plane Luke no I just mean physically the blade is quite big I'll strap I'll tape it to my walking stick all right problem solved yep you got me there I'm well I just realized how the [ __ ] would I get it home unless I drove to Florida yeah it just be something

that you'd have to carry on to the plane yeah I'd assume yeah it have to be yeah you'd have to be able to take it on a plane with you surely Disney's thought of this otherwise we just go hanging at the airport we get ourselves a lightsaber yeah yeah good point th it's hang by The Bins near the TSA stations yep yeah all right so the the cocktails apparently the blue milk's not great but then that doesn't mean anything cuz people have different tastes yeah um so maybe I'll like the blue milk yeah it's one of those things you're going to have to try to find out MH mhm and in other Galaxy Edge news uh Disney's apparently jacking up the prices of the annual passes uh in anticipation of Galaxy's Edge opening um I don't find this uh particularly crazy oh I think it's a fantastic business

decision I just also think oh man come on that it sort of sucks but like yeah we've now made the Park bigger and it costs us more money to run there has to be a way to recoup that money you know what actually that's that's fair because this gets you access to all of the different parts of the park right cuz cuz Disney World is actually technically like four Parks right yeah so yeah you know what tell you you get to go to all of it like so yeah that to me yeah people will complain but this is what you sort of this what happens so these things costep epot after four what see the problem is I don't know what any of this [ __ ] means the the the the gold pass is $699 I guess that's the one it gets you everywhere but then there's a platinum

pass I I guess I just don't know what these are no that's the problem mostly I'm only going to need to go to Galaxy's Edge a lot so if there's one that just gets me into that that'll be fine honestly for you having to travel there you're better off just to buy a ticket ah depends matear that's not like you're going to travel there more than like three times a year apparently it's real good though Luke apparently it's real good yeah I know it'd have to be a local yeah or at somewhere where you can drive there like I don't know probably in 3 hours sure like I I give Six Flags in in that time so sure yeah yeah then it might become worthwhile but yeah I still want to go

but we're going to have to hold off for a little while MH mhm I want all the rides to be open it's going to be a [ __ ] nightmare oh it is a [ __ ] nightmare and that's why I'm sort of yeah we just sort of have to wait for it to die it's not going to be for at least a year I wish we had been able to go now when it was like timed so that they control how many people are in there cuz like yeah when it's open to the public oh my God it's going to be so [ __ ] painful but whatever yeah it'll be worth it I can't wait to fly the Millennium Falcon with you guys I know well that's the thing too cuz you got to you got to go on that ride like repeatedly to do all the stations yeah but like [ __ ] that's going to be that's like 2 Days in lines

to just to do that yep like we waited in um for the for the Guardians of the Galaxy ride at uh California Adventure Park Jenner and I waited in line for too long like like hours and it was it was good it was the Twilight Zone ride with a new skin on it but like you know I'm not I don't regret doing it it was fun but yeah [ __ ] hell I'm I wouldn't I wouldn't do it three times in one day is what I'm saying no no cuz that that would be just your entire day you're not doing anything else you get off and you go line up for a couple more hours yeah and then I get on get into Star Wars land and then I get off again I just can't wait to Hubble around the Millennium Falcon well in other news other

followup uh a film that I mean I still think you've got a good shot with this cuz I think I do the official red Sonia Instagram was into it red son's got a new director uh so she probably be giving me a call soon then yes they've replaced uh Brian Singer with a A Woman by the name of Jill Solway who people may know from directing the or creating sorry the uh the TV series transparent which started uh what's his name Jeffrey Tambour as a uh as a trans uh woman never saw it but I've heard good things about it yeah and I guess this is a uh a good idea I think they're uh they've gone from Brian Singer who uh who's you know bit questionable at the moment yes yes and they've met I think this this is this is this is going to be way more interesting

I think cuz no I mean I liked a lot of Brian singer's older films but I mean [ __ ] me apparently he's his work of late has not been great so I think getting someone new and fresh in I think this is a good idea and I think I think she's going to do a great job directing you uh in in red Sonia yep yep I'm going to I might start working out for that soon mhm I'm I'm assuming they're going to send me a trainer and stuff but we I would assume so yeah and then obviously well and like as I saying she has obviously uh experience directing uh you know like Jeffrey Tambour in the role of of of a trans woman so I I'm assuming you will be playing red Sonia as a trans woman yes yes so yeah perfect can't wait to make out of Arnold's sweger you think they'll get

him back you don't think the age difference is going to be a bit of a problem I mean you guys no it' be fine I I can act it's acting I'm not going to enjoy it I'm acting you're not going to enjoy it come on mate if it was the rock I would enjoy that maybe they would get the rock he's he might be available he's never available the rock is [ __ ] he doesn't stop working I wonder have we talked about this right talking about social media I wonder if the Rock's a bit fake do you ever wonder he does everyone on social media is fake to some degree but like he's got he he you know I like his cheek meal posts cuz they're always [ __ ] hilarious where he eats like a whole restaurant I eat in a week yeah he eats a whole [ __ ] restaurant

a sushi restaurant in like one meal but then also he's always like always on a plane always it's [ __ ] 3:00 a.m. and he's sat there on his laptop with a tequila doing work it's like he's never not working like I'm like I just I don't know man that's because he always is working giving [ __ ] to people oh he's a car here's my mom got a house and it's just like he's what he's got what three movies coming out in the next few months or something MH well he's just had the Fast and Furious he's got some Disney mov coming out and he's also working on something else like it's I guess what I'm saying about to come out is it possible that the rock is actually a [ __ ] is it possible I don't know if it is I'm just asking um I know it is definitely possible cuz he just seems like the

what what what uh platform is good ens on Luke well uh according to uh 20,000 Christians who have sort of signed a petition calling to get it cancelled it's uh on Netflix okay all right so I'll just pop on Netflix and and watch that then I suppose oh no no well you won't be able to watch it Netflix has actually canceled it oh a they said they're not making anymore damn it and they and they're not they won't even show it anymore that's how much this petition did that's [ __ ] disgusting yep but if you hop over to Amazon Prime Oh you mean the the the the the platform that's actually making an and and showing the show yeah yeah you can watch it there but I have some bad news for you what's that Amazon Prime they've

canceled stranger things you kidding me no I'm so confused I thought these show popular in retaliation like as Netflix canell good omen so Amazon Prime decided to cancel stranger things as sort of like a well I hope they're happy yeah I just found this hilarious that's the first time one of these petitions has done anything yeah right it was wrong yeah it was wrong yeah yeah so good Omens uh tells the story of an angel and a demon attempting to uh to prevent Armageddon basically and uh yeah I guess they decided it was was too Blasphemous and they petitioned the wrong company to cancel it and then cancel it yeah it's on Amazon Prime they petition Netflix Netflix said all right we promise we won't make anymore yeah which I thought was fun I like how they both G in on the joke

yes and it's a very good show and you should watch it just for the record did people did people did they try petition the book at all uh I don't think so because I don't think it was actually that wellknown uh like amongst people who are fans of Neil gam and Terry pratchet I think it's well known but I don't think in general it's not it wouldn't have been on their radar to be honest yeah cuz I'm just wondering like have they actually watched it to well want to petition it or I did see uh I did see someone I mean it has been controversial and I understand why if you're you know if you're religious I can understand why you wouldn't you you know you you might not like it but um somebody tweeted a a

review from a from a Christian website that was very negative and um and tweeted Neil gaming and said did you expect this response and he replied and said uh I actually did expect this response I just didn't expect so many factual errors because I thought they'd actually watch it so yeah that's normally what happens with when people petition and hate things they don't actually know anything about it sure well it's just a it's just a funny little show it's not you know it's not a commentary on anything it's just a and in fact it yeah I don't know tell one thing I keep forgetting I keep forgetting that Amazon Prime is there as a streaming service well I've been I've been on there constantly lately cuz man in the High Castle is on there and then

now this is on there so but well I was I was just on there today uh yesterday and I was watching and it's got a lot of good old stuff that I've been trying to find yeah like do you remember Ben Elton Stark I do not okay it's I've been trying to find it's was a tele it a TV miniseries made in the '90s and I've been searching for it everywhere I couldn't even find it on Italy and Google prime Amazon Prime have it Google Prime I'm going to petition get rid of it yeah yeah no Prime's good and and you get some good you know well it's not free well I mean technically it's free cuz I'm paying for Amazon Prime to get free 2-day shipping and I get that as well so complaining it's pretty good and there's movies on there they rotate a

lot like yeah but there's there's some good just need to remember it's there a lot more I have an Apple TV so it's one of the icons and actually it all gets pulled into the the major the the the what do you call it there's like a dashboard on the Apple TV that reminds me to watch stuff gets pulled into there it's good I like my Apple TV well watch good ens and watch man and the High Castle watch them both both well worth your time what was the thing I was meant to watch with the VR oh uh Black Mirror Black Mirror I watched Black Mirror what did you think the first one of that it's good right I found that one a little odd well yeah they're all a little odd like it just you didn't like it I don't I I just didn't make sense to

me H in what way that they they well in the video game po yes yeah spoilers they've got this connection in the video game but in real life they don't and so they decide to have a cheat night once a month when I meet up in a video game and I just and also the other thing I found weird they didn't swap rols at any stage oh you think one of them might have preferred to to be the lady once in a while yeah maybe mix it up a little bit Yeah there's lots of different characters in there that's true they always they were always the same people well that was their favorite characters from when they were when they were young yeah I don't know I just yeah a little odd maybe they always

thought about it but they just weren't able to and that's why I do want the VR like that though oh yeah totally so we can f just there and done yeah yeah yeah know I know I know what you're saying wink wink I know what you're saying Luke I also just want to beat up a panda of course I I uh I rewatched something this week uh finally got around to rewatching the third Rambo movie cuz I know you know we talked about my rewatch and uh I finally got to the third one uh yep I mean it's it's fairly forgettable let's be honest where he's fighting with the Taliban yeah yeah yeah yeah yep uh it uh it it made me laugh out loud a couple times uh I I found some of it confusing just cuz I wasn't quite sure what they were going for like I don't know how

long it's been since you've seen it but there's a bit where he goes to so the plot of the film is that that the this the Soviets have a base in Afghanistan and they're terrorizing this Village and so Colonel Troutman comes and finds Rambo in Thailand and says oh we need to go and help these Villages I think I think that's what the point was in uh Afghanistan and stop the Soviets and uh and Rambo's like no I'm busy and so they send in Troutman who's kind of an old man at that point they just send him in alone I guess for some reason I can't remember how they Justified that but then think he just goes in on his own I don't think they sent him in fine so Colonel trapman just goes in on his own to help these villagers and then gets caught by the Soviets obviously and then

and then the guy shows up for some reason he travels all the way back to Thailand just to say I just want to let you know they caught Troutman he's probably dead now and R's like you [ __ ] flew all the way here to tell me that and he goes all right well I I got to go in now and then so Rambo goes in to get him out and then he gets to Afghanistan and then there's this bit where he's at the village and they show them playing uh it's a game that it's actually the national sport apparently of uh Afghanistan it's called buzkashi I'm probably pronouncing that wrong but it's a game I think we've talked about on the show before where they play uh it's like they're on horses and they they have to carry around a headless goat and throw

it into a a or sheep and then you have to get into a circle and it's like um I I couldn't tell if they were showing it to kind of celebrate their culture or just make a bit of fun of them like it's kind of weird and then then Rambo just happens has to be better at it than them like so I don't know that was that was weird that was a weird scene um and then there's this bit where he he goes into the Soviet base right he sneaks in and he's looking around for Troutman in the base in this in the prison and he comes to this cell and it's got these like Afghani women in there and they mentioned earlier in the film that like they're taking the villagers women as like sex slaves and stuff right so these people clearly are

prisoners and they need to be helped so they see Rambo kill this guard and then the the women are kind of like ah cool like maybe we're going to get out of here and then Rambo starts going American American where's the American American and and then so they Point down the hallway and he grabs the keys off the G and [ __ ] off like just leaves them there so that made me laugh cuz then I was thinking maybe he'll come back for him no he never does No No in fact they probably get blown up in the base at some point and then uh there one other thing that I thought was pretty neat at the end there's a big battle uh obviously between I think it's the the muine and the the Soviets at that point in the film I can't remember it was all very confusing and I couldn't

figure out really who was fighting but then things blow up yeah yeah exactly and then at one point Rambo throws a Molotov cocktail on the back of a tank which seemed pointless right cuz it just sets a little bit of the tank on fire but then the guys in the tank get out and he shoots them and then he takes the tank and I was still thinking what did he throw the molotov cocktail at the tank and then if it was if it damaged it why is he getting in the one that he threw it at but then I realized now in the wide shots you can tell which one's him cuz the back of it on fire a little bit and I was like oh I guess that's kind of clever yeah but like it was just a little weird so rainbow three long time since I just watched any rainbow movie I don't

neutral thumb I'm giving it a neutral thumb it's fine I actually want to go and watch the Rocky movies again I've actually never seen a Rocky movie really the Rocky movies are few of them are quite good one of them is terrible really which one uh I think it's number four where he's fighting the Russian okay DOL y do lren yeah that was that was not so much a movie is trying to yeah I don't know it was just the because it was during the sort of time where America and Russia were not very good friends and I think it was trying to I'm pretty was also said during that time just based on the uh are we are we good friends now I can't I don't oh I don't know anymore there's a there's an orange man on television telling me that we

are so I guess we are you support your president yep you got your little card he's your president now I don't have a card right now but sorry just clarify that I don't want any drama I have a letter that extends the uh the the date on my card I'm waiting for my new card oh okay it's all fine nothing nothing funny going on it's just I have to carry a [ __ ] letter around with me as well the orange man's not coming for you yet no no although apparently you know what we have to talk about this apparently this weekend is [ __ ] ice Christmas or something cuz they're raiding a bunch of cities anyway that's not it's not comedy so no let's move on speaking of

orange um there's a new burger coming from KFC and as disgusting as this looks I'm almost tempted to head up to my local KFC and try one of these have you seen try it this is the I'm just looking at the picture now this is called the KFC Cheetos chicken sandwich and it has it's got Cheetos on it uh yep so yeah if you do if you do get one mhm can you please take a photo of it cuz I see the picture here I don't know how it's going to get into your hand without those Cheetos being

crushed it's got Cheetos sauce which I don't know what that is but it's probably delicious uh it's a piece of fried chicken drench Cheeto sauce sitting upon a layer of crunchy Cheetos I guess that's the vegetable component of the of the the meal and then a mayonnaise basted bun uh and it is allegedly good so if you like Cheetos who doesn't like Cheetos I'm sure there's people out there fair enough I mean I don't like them if I think about it too much like cuz what the [ __ ] are they if you're not thinking about it and they're in a bowl in front of you you like them like there are these there are these Cheetos I think they're new and I actually quite I like them quite a lot

they remind me of Twisties they don't have twisties here so list chicken twisties are the best yeah definitely don't have chicken twisties so for Australian listeners you know what they are twisties are kind of like really really Cheetos they're like Che but they're really crunchy and they're more dense and they're more dense yeah where Cheetos are sort of Airy yeah exactly they're less they're not puffed up like Cheetos they're kind of like imagine if they just didn't puff up the Cheeto and they just let it solidify and now they've got these new things here which are like Cheetos uh jalapeno crunch things or something like that and they're kind of like twisties but they're like really spicy so I like them a lot but I can't help thinking they just [ __ ] up a batch of

Cheetos at some point and then ended up with this and then they were like oh you know what we can sell these that's all I like I have a plan I just can't think about it too much when I'm eating him you go to the KFC you get the Cheetos one M take a photo of it I'll go to KFC I'll order a burger and then I'll put twisties on it all right and we'll do a comparison somehow we'll do a comparison yeah well we'll just bring them with us to when we go to France yeah I'm sure that'll be fine they'll probably still be good by then yeah I'm sure this won't stink up the plane even when it's fresh I think it's just the Mayo that would be the part that would go off the rest will probably be fine sorry not the chicken oh it's not real chicken Don't Worry List it's not real chicken it's

fine yeah I don't even know where there is a KSC I've I don't think I've ever eaten KFC in this country now that I think about it so this will be a a multiple first gasm really I haven't had I've never had KFC over there what I have had is Popeyes and I love Popeyes God I my Popeyes experience was not good my my um my very first popey's experience we stopped in the middle of the Nevada desert for uh popey's and it was not good so mine was I was drunk one night in La mhm heading back to my hotel yeah found Popeyes got chicken and a gallon of lemonade and went back to my room I was so happy sure yeah you could buy a gallon of

lemonade yeah I know that's America man you can buy a gallon of anything yeah that's a small yeah this just so insane Cheetos chicken sandwich delicious uh did you play Minecraft story mode I have I've played it on Xbox One 360 and the PC okay how much did you pay for it just curi I I paid about $40 all right for the whole lot for all for the whole lot I believe okay would you say it's worth $100 an episode um let me think about it uh God no so this is not actually a a a price they're expecting people to pay they have bumped up the price of Minecraft's story mode The Telltale Game to $100 an episode

us uh and I believe the why to stop people from buying it because but why because apparently the only way to have it available for people who already purchased it is to leave it on the store that that's my understanding I could be wrong listeners WR in podcast mgm.com mul Facebook tell me if I'm wrong I think the point is they need to leave it on the store so that you can still play it because you already bought it but they don't want other people to buy it but then maybe they're hedging their bets like maybe people will buy it for 100 bucks an episod to me it just sort of seems silly that cuz can't they just hide it they went well no not even hide it even just why

do you have to delist it what cuz I'm pretty sure that they still owe money they went bankrupt they probably still owe money to people if people are still buying the game want to buy it let them buy it and give the money to the Liquidators yeah I don't know how it works but they're yeah they just I said they made him 100 bucks so that people will stop buying them that's that's all I know so strange that's that's $140 Australian per episode and there are two seasons of what like Eight Episodes or six episodes so I think the tricky part with this cuz other stuff I've seen stuff the listed that I own but you actually always able to go and then download it again I think the problem with this is because you

sort of when you buy like the dis version or even if you buy the season pass that you still have to download it from the store goes and checks your license and stuff so I think it's something to do with the that sort of side of the episode side okay yeah well I don't know someone from Telltale uh Jonathan Stout who was a producer at Telltale said it's surreal to see it listed for 100 bucks an episode to just to fix this issue whatever whatever the issue is trying to see does it say I don't uh to keep the episodes up there so folks who own them can still download them they also need to be kept available for sale as the backend system is not designed with situations like this in mind how [ __ ] hard can it be to just

change that I'm so baffled by that odds are this is also going to be just a 360 which they're putting no support behind anymore you absolutely right that is a detail that I missed yeah you're right so there's no one working on that platform anymore all right [ __ ] man but I don't know just say where is my I still still confused as to why they have to delist it instead of just letting it to be sold uh maybe a rights issue well it's Microsoft though isn't it Microsoft could do whatever the [ __ ] they want with it I would have thought I don't know well no this isn't Microsoft no no no I know it's well it isn't it isn't right because it's Telltale but but the yeah but it's all a bit tricky cuz this all happened from before yeah

Microsoft so it's probably licensed all stuff but yeah if they're out of business just sell it and let the money go so yeah who cares where the money goes they do obviously anyway uh no interest in playing it so I need to finish I need to play I have to finish it on the PC better hurry up I own I'm pretty sure I've got all the episodes already downloaded yeah I've been playing something this week I've been playing Watch Dogs too really yeah do you see all my achievements I've been getting no I haven't it's good I like it you do yeah yeah yeah I'm having a lot of fun it's definitely better than the first one yes it's it's got a similar issue to the first one that I know people have

commented out online is that it it's like my character seems like a nice guy who's just trying to do good but also I can shoot a lot of people with no consequences yes and then and actually because I I get frustrated with the stealth missions and so often I do end up shooting a lot of people and then almost immediately afterwards it's like it's like let's just pretend that didn't happen cuz no one else in the world seems to be aware of it like no one's commenting on the fact that I just killed like 40 security guards at some facility yeah you end up killing hundreds of people yeah and then no one's talking about it like so that that is a little odd it is odd but there's sort of no other way sort of around it

no I know it's just and but it took a little while for me to realize that there weren't going to be any consequences and so I was trying to be I was being careful and I was getting frustrated I was like I can't believe I had to because you know the game's like Dishonored or um I'm trying to think what's another good example but if you like choosing to to kill over stealth has consequences in the game in the game world uh in this apparently not it it makes literally no difference so you can sort of murder everyone outside and then when it loads up the next part yeah they're still just on their normal patrols yes but that gives me the freedom to cause massive chaos in the city which is something that I've been enjoying doing because you know control

the vehicles remotely so I've been causing some massive you know incidents in the city and then when the ambulance turns up you the the ambulance like the paramedics get out and then you make the ambulance run them over and then it's it's funny so you're preparing yourself for watchdogs 3 then yeah actually that looks interesting it looks look a little different you can control or you can recruit I guess any yeah I still don't quite understand how that works I think from watching the little bit of the footage I need to watch more of the footage the gameplay footage I've been meaning to I think it's like you as you walk around all the NPCs have stats and things that they're good at and you can recruit them to do things kind of like I guess like in um fallout shelter where

the the people show up and they've got abilities I I guess I mean that it's not that kind of game at all but just that style of thing where yeah you know like there's the they showed the old woman a lot in the in the the promotional material I guess she's good at something so like uh the clip they showed they need someone who's good with drones so you got to walk around the city find an NPC who's good with drones and then you recruit them and then you can play as them yeah so that's interesting yeah so yeah it's it's going to be different take I'm I'll interested I'll wait save judgment for when it comes out and I play it and then I find out if it works or not yeah cuz yeah I just find it weird that yeah you can just swap between sort of anyone I don't know if

that's going to take me out of the game a bit or if you always go back to one Central character yeah yeah I don't know but we will find out yes yes I'm I'm going to be careful with Watch Dogs 2 to not burn myself out as well cuz I I get bored of these games very quickly so I'm I'm trying to ignore all the side stuff as much as possible unless it's compelling like there was a side quest about the um New Dawn which is kind of like the the scientologists but like they call it the new dawn that was a good side doing the Uber stuff is fun I don't know about that that seems like a Time wasted to me so it is but it's fun okay I don't know we'll see is it just driving people around I haven't done and I haven't done it yet because it seems like I'm just gonna be driving it is but

no it's all sort of scripted so that you'll hear they'll be talking to you and you'll get into hij Jinks in some of the missions oh all right hi Jinx just it's just a little little little sometimes you just need that little bit of a break and it is yeah sure see not yeah normally I just start killing people so but yeah now have to be careful like I've actually burnt myself out in Borderlands oh yeah oh yeah you you cautioned me about that the other week yeah cuz I've played I was playing Borderlands one and then I just went and played DLC for Borderlands 2 and I can always already feel myself just just skipping over story and just yep go go here do this yeah so I've decided to not play any more Borderlands until three

comes out okay yeah we still need to finish two but hopefully that won't I don't want to burn out I don't want to burn out oh that's some more followup if you want it to hey you know what we can talk about in the uh in the Afterparty we got some Randy Pitchford followup oh yeah we do yeah it's not in the spreadsheet cuz I actually I forgot to put it in but uh I will add it in I didn't know he was up to anything unfortunately but in the meantime uh we could talk about the uh the Kinder surprise that EA's given us in the form of uh video games these days did you see this yeah that they they're sort of coming down saying there's no problem with loot boxes in fact we don't even

call them loot boxers right just because you call them something different doesn't me they don't call them something different that's a lie they don't they call them loot boxes in marketing material all the [ __ ] time in fact they say they they point out that some of the games don't have loot boxes like [ __ ] them and then now they've gone before the UK Parliament and said we don't actually call them loot boxes we call them surprise mechanics because people love surprises [ __ ] off so yeah see the the worst part about this you know the easiest way to get rid of loot boxes everyone just stops buying them yeah yeah exactly but people don't obviously that yeah and that's the issue look I have no issue with loot boxes I don't it's only if because I don't

participate yeah it's only if like in like Battlefront 2 yes where that actually was actually you needed them to actually get bet progress your character and weapons to make you be able to play against that's wrong but whether I get a new skin on a on character or a weapon I don't care yeah I'm not going to I'm not going to worry about that kind of [ __ ] like the even the division has them now as well I noticed last time I jumped in and I was like whatever but you don't in the division as far as I'm aware you could just completely ignore that that aspect of it but y the problem with this stuff is and I don't really I guess I can see their argument right so they they compare them to the kind Kinder Eggs Kinder surprise and uh and you know one

of those gush upon machines where you you know you you get like blind box toys where you don't know what you're going to get and people love that cuz it's like like a game but that's gambling like yes and if you're I don't know man it's just setting kids up for some weird [ __ ] I feel like I'm not a not a child psychologist obviously yeah let me do that anymore guy I work with every time there's a new season of um fortnite his son comes up and goes oh I I need money so I can go buy some stuff for this otherwise I can't play and I said Your son's full of [Music] [ __ ] yeah but the his son is like no because I can see everyone else having this stuff and I want to have that now and the only way to get it is if you

give me your credit card so I can go by yeah and hopefully I'll get that thing that I want well EA in particular uh Carrie Hopkins vice president of legal and government Affairs at EA said we do think the way we've implemented these kind of mechanics is quite ethical and quite fun they aren't gambling and we disagree that there's evidence that shows they lead to gambling H all right yep sure I I mean it's just like your opinion man but yeah but they've got the stats and they know they get these people who spend hundreds of dollars on them and they and they have to see that's a problem there are people who with

gambling problems that are now like can't play video games because yes because it's a [ __ ] it's making it worse I don't know just seems do we do we don't need this why do we well it's literally just a money-making thing for yes like CU I actually I noticed that a lot this E3 and maybe this has been happening for a while but just that the way that all the game companies talk about uh they don't call them loot boxes generally speaking and they don't call it like DLC or that kind of stuff anymore they I forget the term for it but it's basically how can we keep getting money from you because you pay for the game once and then we don't continue that relationship yeah and here's the road map we have for this game where it's going to be releasing

this map and then you get this and we want you to keep paying us basically and it's like [ __ ] off well reduce the price of the [ __ ] game then to begin with to the start point if you're not going to give me the entire game yes yeah it well this is other thing like I'd actually I'd actually be happier to pay a little bit more for a game to not to try and get money out later yeah like yeah like charge me $140 and but don't get rid of all this trying to make me buy loot boxes and all that crap right cuz you got to think like games haven't changed in price in how long what that's what I'm saying like but they want to they want to charge you more money and and I get that because kind bump up the price is that what

you're saying yeah yeah yeah I get you like a game on Sega Mega Drive was $100 back in the day Genesis for our us listeners see Genesis yes and that's how much a game was and that's sort of how much a game is now in fact they're actually cheaper now yeah yeah yeah a lot of games are coming out cheaper games are even for all like AAA titles I keep thinking I'm getting Bargains here because games actually just are cheaper in the and I keep know that's a good price and it's not it's [ __ ] normal price like even during the sale like I'll see a game like oh it's on sale for 40 like that's not a big discount it's just I'm used to the Australian price where if a game was 40 like if the division 2 was $40 in Australia I'd be like [ __ ] man buy that in an instant that's that's a crazy

price yeah well that's how much it is here like during the E3 sale which is actually only like 20% off 20 yeah yeah because how much is but yeah no I think it's like 100 bucks for a game right in in Australia is um like EA is sort of coming down EA I don't know a lot of times they're coming down for 90 now okay right it's like 50 60 bucks here yeah but yeah most of the time yeah like a AAA title is coming out at $100 and I'm thinking maybe instead of having the loot boxes raise your price point and there you go yeah that's how you get your extra money DLC they don't call it DLC they call it I forget what they [ __ ] call it I forget the stupid

terms give us your money I mean I can understand money I give you all my money you've already got it you've already got all my money yeah well speaking I'll tell you what though the Game Pass just keeps getting better and better well that's the other thing too now it's like I almost don't have to buy the games now well you don't have to buy any Microsoft soft game anymore yeah so it's I don't know it's all counterintuitive they're all doing they're all going very different directions I feel like it'll work itself out in a couple of years I I know that I've I was very negative about Netflix video games in the past which you keep pointing out I said I didn't want that but actually maybe I maybe I do like it

the my problem with it is um that I don't something you're playing goes away yes exactly because I don't get to play as often as I would like or as you know so yeah that's my concern is that yeah I'm enjoying a game and then all of a sudden it gets rotated out of the service and I can't play it anymore that would [ __ ] annoy which it does happen yeah but normally by the time they get rotated out it's they're sort of been there like a while or and then they normally go directly on sale right I was going to say cuz ites I don't like I'm playing Watch Dogs 2 now like I don't really I'm not on the hot button of [ __ ] what's you you know but yeah sort of i't seen it where yeah it'll come out of Game Pass the next week it's on sale and it's to get

those people who are in the middle of playing it and go well I want to finish it so yeah sneaky buggers it's how they get you well speaking of getting you and uh and and wanting more money uh Avengers end games coming back to theaters with a bunch of bonus [ __ ] is this just because they want to take that top spot I thought that too they didn't get Avatar yet and so they're like they want to yeah I did I did think of that and my I was actually going to say does this count like I guess it does right like well to me it wouldn't because me to this is a different movie well it's no but see I think what they've done is and I think this is that's why it's the same movie but then at the end after the credits

it's got a bunch of behind the scenes and like deleted stuff and extra stuff so it's the same mov movie but then they've just got a little little bonus at the end so I I don't know I I think that probably is what they're doing yeah I really think cuz I they are what 40 million off like they are so close that and this will work like yes they're going to get a [ __ ] ton more people to see this again and yeah I'm just like oh it's dirty I don't think you should be allowed to do this so dirty but yeah it's coming back U uh cool well if they can do it I think Avatar should be able to come back as well you think people would go Avatar's a weird one man I feel like at the time everyone I liked Avatar I like the special effects yeah I think

maybe I was dazzled by it all but I do also on a normal TV I can see oh yeah it's not I mean there's not much to it it seemed like everybody went went nuts for it and then like a couple of weeks later everybody was like you know what that was a bit [ __ ] yes so yeah I I yeah but I think if Avatar was to come back a lot of people would go oh I'd go see that again so I think yeah if this works for EDG Marvel Avatar re-release six months time yep and then Titanic yep and then aliens and then Terminator please but it has to be the original movie True Li with True Lies please True Lies I'd love to see that in the theater just that's a great movie Jim get your movies back in the theaters

yeah just all of his yeah no I'd go say more I would actually I'm trying to think of a bad James camer movie apart from Avatar I don't think Avatar is bad it's just not as good as as all that yeah I it doesn't deserve the top spot yeah that's that's basically that's what I'm saying yeah yeah like oh terminat 2 man [ __ ] put Terminator 2 back in the theaters that's a great movie and and why you throw the first one on as well yeah double feature yep [ __ ] yeah love him and Starship Troopers well he didn't do that but no I'm just talking about movies I want see now paulov I saw that at the movies twice sters that was a great movie yeah Paul V Hoven is [ __ ] awesome they keep

talking about mate doing a remake of that just no it won't work you saw what happened with um RoboCop unfortunately I did the Remake was of Robocop was fine we just didn't need it no I like I like Jo kin so I'm I'm a little biased because I was like oh fine but it just wasn't yeah I was missing we don't need these remakes apparently the Chucky remake is terrible oh it is oh apparently I I I haven't seen it yet maybe I was thinking about going the Su I I have heard that it's sort of weird hearing Mark Hamill's voice as Chucky you have to go see that alone W you your wife's not going to want to see that Han's not going no I've already asked her if she'd like to come with me no yeah she not into into the old so I might go see it one night this
