words are silly welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy I've been thinking about words lately they're a little necessary I would say they are but not not so much words as like the title and names of things are silly sure example like Star Wars mhm sorry Craig [ __ ] starting early this week Matt play the jingle I think about like we know Star Wars is Star Wars and that's what we think of but if you just think of those two words just thrown together they're

sort of silly yeah that's true I've never seen stars go to war directly look yeah Luke have you just recently given up a Pastime that's giv you way too much time on your hands now yes i' I'm I'm pretty much not drinking at all and my this my mind is doing weird things so this is so no great y but yeah just yeah I don't know just sort of hit me weird luk eventually a couple weeks Luke's going be like guys have you ever thought about existence what's with that the sum of any two sides an Isles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side yeah I saw the other day uh on TV at at someone else's house the Meg came on and

I was like oh I've seen this and then like five minutes of it I was like H yeah I've seen this I didn't remember it being that bad but it's quite bad well yeah but sometimes you just need to watch a movie like that speaking of films that when you watch them again they're slightly different I watched two films this week that are the same film I watched both the 1931 Universal produced Dracula movies oh nice okay so we've talked on this podcast I think before we all know Universal used to make every film twice once in English and once in Spanish because uh you know as much as they'd like you to not know there's a lot of Mexican people in America sure and uh so everyone's always Ted that the Spanish language vers of

Dracula was even better than the American one the English version um so I watched them both back to back uh no it wasn't in almost every way the English language one is better um the Bolder choices and the camera work well no the funny thing you should say that Matt is because actually when Romanians speak to each other in the English language version they speak in Romanian and then somebody translates to the English guy whereas in the Spanish language version everyone just speaks Spanish so the the Romanians speak Spanish to each other when they go to England they speak Spanish to each other so you know there's a little bit more authenticity in the English language version um one thing that the Spanish version did so much better than the

English was every single female character right so I don't know if you remember Matt I'm sure you've seen it several times but the the women in Dracula are pretty much cardboard cutouts the actresses could just swap roles you wouldn't notice um no one has any about a lot of old DE old timey films yeah not so with the Spanish version the women are terrific so for that it gets an extra point uh and it's about half an hour longer so there's that oh that's odd it's a fib a bit longer yeah well they resolve a couple of story lines that don't get resolved in the English language version specifically to do with some of the female characters that just kind of the the movie forgets about yeah and right American audiences are like they don't

give a [ __ ] about the women yeah but some things done really well like um the the whole thing about how when in the in the opening scene when Renfield visits uh Dracula in his castle there are no servants but Dracula is still pretending there are servants so Dracula picks him up in a coach and has his face covered in the oh yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah that that is touched on lightly in the English language version but it's very apparent in this version um like Dracula even carries the guy's bags up to his room and then says oh the servants have already brought up your bag so just that kind of that underlying patheticness of of of Dracula still going about the the Motions of of being a count even though he's just an old man in a castle so definitely worth watching if you're a

horror of the genre yeah I mean he is sure why not you're saying he's got other other skills that we should um yeah exactly focusing on he's not just he's not just an old man is he oh sure yeah yeah and to be fair he's got three wives who are also kicking around the castle as well yeah they're young except the Spanish the Spanish language one uses some shots from the English one um including one shot of the three wives looking at him through the uh through the window but then when he cut completely different people yeah so in this one it kind of implies there's six wives but uh yeah oh he's just uh he's just got a bit more going on in the Spanish yeah nothing wrong with that nothing wrong with it see I don't know disappointing Six Women instead of one or

three it's Comic Con it's it certainly is right now it's still on today actually so this I mean there's going to be more but we've already got quite a few things I noticed a lot of trailers have come out but not as many as I thought I would find interesting and not the one that you were hoping would come out I'm assum I've found quite a few uh interesting so far Let's uh let's go as you say there's a still another day a few more yeah no it's not going to happen all right what what do you want to talk about first well Matt I think we'd be a Miss if we didn't talk about The Witcher yes uh you think I think it looks pretty good to be honest yeah I'm sure you do yeah look it doesn't look offensively bad it looks like it could go either way

and from what we've seen already I think that's a plus yeah I I watched it as well and I I think it looks good and I think people are really going to enjoy it but I've also worked out it's not for me so I'm I'm not picking the fantasy okay I thought you going to say I think Trish isn't Bloody in it but I think she is in it so no no no no it's just yeah like that's why I didn't really get into Game of Thrones I'm just yeah that stuff doesn't really interest me this is a laser pistol and I might be in this is this is really setting itself up for some serious scrutiny though because it it is coming across very similar to Game of Thrones yes um and so I'd be interested to see how similar or different it actually is and how they're planning to tread that line I think they

need to be very careful CU they make it too much like Game of Thrones I don't think people I yeah the thing is it kind of if it's based on the books it's I mean it's going to have a little bit of that it's less about the the politics and the I was going to say it does have all that stuff in the books and and also in the games but it's more about the kind of every man in it like you know like geralt's kind of a you know like a man kicking around town kind of getting the the Dirty Work done so it usually just follows him and then you hear about the politics differently I guess games Game of Thrones has that too but but and also you're not really going to follow the kings and queens in The Witcher I don't think sure I'm I'm more concerned about whether the tone of

it will match Game of Thrones like is is the depth of the narrative going to be as deep as Game of Thrones was or this is going to be more like Merlin for example I [ __ ] hope not I I I know just from what I thought I get the feeling it's going to be more Game of Thrones like it's supposed to be like epic you know High fantasy kind of you know so I think it's going to be serious no like I am going to I'll watch the first episode and and I'll make a decision whether I'll continue but yeah just from what I've seen not for me but it does look amazing yeah I'm I'm pleased with how it looks compared to what I he is looking better now yeah he he's he's all right actually I still think he's a bit young for it though

yeah he's too uh a bit too clean he's pretty he's a pretty boy like they've messed him up a bit and it it's fine but he's still you can still he's very beautiful man still exactly I just can't stop being attracted to him which is it's distracting yeah there's no blood in my brain when he's on screen if you know what I mean exactly I think just may have looked a bit better if it was maybe someone a little bit older and someone who who sort of had a bit more of a rougher life guys hear me out will William defo I could see that sure let's start a petition now yeah that's who I see as geralt straight to change.org you know they work yeah exactly right and then and then we get to direct it and ride it

and everything right that's how that works I think that's how it works yeah like Star Wars The Last Jedi 2 whatever the [ __ ] that was well no yeah cuz yeah you just go yeah we remake it all and yeah then you just forget that so weird oh that was uh did you see that at San Diego ComicCon all around and the Billboards and everything and the bus stops there the big release of Snider cut signs yeah I saw that no I didn't see that I'll be honest at this point I'm kind of on the bandwagon I wouldn't mind seeing the Snider cut have you seen the the stuff he's been putting up on on Vero that social network that only Zack Snider's on is that thing still kicking around yeah he's been putting up like uh a bunch of photos from and stills from his

version apparently like it's legit it's a [ __ ] 3 to 4H hour movie and it was finished it was just didn't have special effects done and they reshot half the movie it's got [ __ ] um uh the bad guys is actually [ __ ] what's that dude's name I'm not a big DC guy but no it's not steepen wolf it's the what the [ __ ] um what's the guy's [ __ ] name someone's going to write in and have a go at me um it's completely different okay interesting cuz obviously we first criticized this uh SN cut movement because we thought look it's just the same movie it's just been brightened up and a couple more jokes chucked in but yeah it's really sounding like he had made a completely different film finished it as you say except for the effects and uh and then they made it

again Dark Side dark seed whatever right and he was the villain and they just CGI over the top of him and there's that makes a lot of sense actually yeah and and like there are actors who portrayed characters that aren't in the film anymore like there was there was a person who played that character who got CGI over over to put the new villain in wow yeah man hash relases SN cut I'm on board yeah I'm interested and yeah look up have a look on there you'll see he's got his Stills up there cyborg had like an actual [ __ ] character Arc in it and there was more about him where apparently Jos Weeden said that cyborg is boring and he just cut all that out so well I mean it's not uh cyborg was boring but I mean yeah but I mean

maybe when we knew more about him than remains to be seen yeah that's interesting well okay well I'm interested look speaking of things that uh Zack Snider has already done there's also a trailer for Watchmen yeah yeah did this one seem like it's got a bit of a different tone than the movie did yes I mean visually different yeah yeah um D Lindelof I believe producing this so you know more or less on board what he doeses yeah yeah um trailer was a [ __ ] though yeah the trailer what didn't really grab me wasn't a great trailer but uh but for sure no yeah which I I guess is the point but you know a trailer is supposed to entice you and just just the text

there's a Watchman series coming would have enticed me you know what I mean so if you're going to make a trailer at least give me something so there are these people who are dressed as RW Shack and they're [ __ ] with people and then now the cops wear masks and I don't know it looks interesting The Masks are very it's very creepy looking yeah this is in this is in the same universe as the movie isn't it this is set after I think it's movie sequel yeah impression I get from it yeah which that's not even sort of clear right is it a sequel to the movie that we saw or is it a sequel to the story of The Watchman as written in the comic books like yeah yeah speaking of which Alan Moore retired this week did he he

did I mean what what's he done recently yeah what's he retired from that was my response too I was like what the [ __ ] has he been doing that it's not retirement he's retired from complaining about all the adaptations of his stuff yeah that's right baiting people online yeah I mean the guy was a [ __ ] genius but I don't maybe he has been doing stuff but look he's insane but he's a great writer absolutely look speaking of retired oh I like where you went there and this is probably my favorite thing to come out of ComiCon so far yeah I hope we're talking about the same thing cuz I watch I watched this trailer and I was like [ __ ] man I'm so into this Picard yeah yes that looks amazing fantastic

I'm like it looks sentimental like I I was like it looks nostalgic but also it looks like it's like a really big step forward from you know where we left off in terms of Star Trek yes and like tally and first of all it was great the [ __ ] Epic trailer and just him as like an old man is like is just yeah so [ __ ] cool like I don't know when this came out I don't to explain when this came out I actually started watching the Next Generation again yeah and I started from like season one it hasn't dated well no and the first season is weird like did you watch all of season one no I'm about like five or six episodes in all right cuz the finale of season 1 is is [ __ ] very different in tone from

like all the other Star Trek stuff and then I I was like that's odd and I looked it up and apparently it was quite controversial at the time so I'll wait till you get to the end but there's it's a very uh almost space horor uh ending to the first season of of Star Trek generation interest might skip I might skip to the end because that's the thing about these you don't really have to keep track okay it's not like they every episode is sort of a standalone yes that's right that's right yeah well the yeah the final episode of Next Generation season one has quite a gory thing that happens and everyone was like Jesus and like it was quite controversial at the time I believe oh I'm going to talk about that next week

then good but yeah man [ __ ] uh returning people from various Star Treks in Picard seemingly that's right uh which is interesting and then just I guess just the whole like premise where he's retired and then you know he kind of gets pulled back into something something like [ __ ] yeah I'm into it it's different for Star Trek he's not just the captain of a ship called the Enterprise I don't I think the Star Trek that every sort of different new television show they get just seems to get better and better I find like did you watch uh Discovery no I didn't I heard that it got a bit [ __ ] um I thought it start [ __ ] yeah and then it sort of grew on me it's a very very different tone and you have to sort

of go in with a bit more of an open mind than what you've seen in other Star Trek shows and that that's not an enticing sentence you know what I mean like just I what the thing I really struggled with through that was how the Klingons looked M cuz they've changed their style like how they look like greatly they changed them in uh JJ Abrams Star Trek too right but are we supposed to I mean is JJ I guess it is I was going to say is it Canon but it is they have kind of weasel it in but they've they've really recreated the world as they went along too yeah yeah they're just cuz they just saying time travel yeah time travel whatever we want style changes over the decades but yeah Discovery was just it was different it

was more campy than I expected it to be um knowing that Picard was coming I thought maybe it was going to kind of follow suit in terms of tone but this looks completely different so I'm all in yeah which I'm I'm sort of I'm sort of hoping that maybe it does become a little bit lighter theard one but I don't think so like I don't know just it seems like it's going to be a very serious television show perard maybe it does yeah he's not going to play the flute yeah you don't know that I don't know that he probably is uh another trailer which uh I don't think this was Comic Con I think this came out just before Comic Con but uh looks pretty good is it chapter 2 I Eno the first I enjoyed chapter one quite a lot yeah it was very well done uh I like

the tone of these uh chapter 2 this trailer looks greats I will say though I'll stand by my [ __ ] statement that only one of them is scared of clowns and Penny wise shows up to you as whatever you're scared of so only one of them should see a clown yeah but he is [ __ ] great as Pennywise yeah he does a good job yeah that guy he is he can do s he as a [ __ ] creepy character he's perfect I've seen him do like just normal characters too like yeah right he's just a good actor he was really good in uh was the what was the Stephen King TV show forgotten the name of it uh um the stand um no no no the one that was recently on it was [ __ ] why can't

remember the name of it it's good show he was in that um I can't even think podcast at multiple nerd gm.com I figured it out by the time someone writes in but WR anyway so so they asked talking yes Castle Rock yes that's a good show and he's very good in it so actually it's on my I haven't seen it yet so something else should check out yes it's good it's very good I've been hearing about that Castle Rock I might have to give that a look as well mhm but yeah so this one with it too cuz I haven't actually seen the first one yet but are they still is this one set in the future like it was yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah but you should watch the first one it's great it's one of the best portrayals of kids that age in a movie

like they get it really really right yeah D it's I don't as it kids are getting better at acting yeah or someone's get better at picking them yeah yeah finding the ones that are good at acting yeah yeah still my favorite my favorite scene in the book removed from yet another adaptation of it you know of course Don what's the scene oh no no no I mean I'll let I'll let the readers Discover it themselves and have the same reaction that we did when we were like what [Music] very well speaking of child actors they gang banger yeah Oh there's uh so many articles about that when the movie came

out and it will will it feature a gang bang no it won't no it absolutely will not it will not I mean look the movie already pushed the limits I showed more kids in underwear swimming than I thought they were going to put in a movie in 2019 so you know yes just wanted to see that scene we're all coming back going [ __ ] that was scary but also I'm really turned on Stephen King she writes whatever comes to mind um speaking of child actors Eddie furlong's coming back as John Connor in the new [ __ ] Terminator movie so they've dragged him out they've hosed him off they've so B him up presumably have they wasn't the last time we heard from him was like he was meant to be coming to Australia but then that got

cancelled because he went off the rails or something I don't know I don't know what he's doing these days I've noticed that nobody has put a picture of him currently in there I don't know there are any pictures of him maybe that but that's what they maybe they took him and they they hid him away in a facility and like you know got him in shape and fcked him up maybe this will be like you know like Mark Hamill uh you know before the force awakens mark was not looking great now maybe look at him but he he is really not looking great like next level not looking great last time I saw him yeah I know yeah he he was he was fat he was strung out greasy haed I mean not that he's a

great actor that's worth coming out of retirement necessarily for anyway I mean this would I'd be as excited about this as you told me that Jake Lloyd was going to be in episode 9 that would be great though yeah cuz I I'm looking now trying to try and see if there's any pictures of been recently and I can't really see any everything's linda hamon looks like a badass grandma though doesn't Sheck lovely yeah yeah she she looks she looks amazing in this yeah and I like how they sort of talking like this is just got the tone of one and two cuz and they also just ignoring the other movies aren't they I think yeah I think that well I mean they're just

going to say time travel and then just make this movie which is what they do other movie anyway they did is it Tim P the director Tim pool no is it Tim pool or I thinking of he's the guy directed Deadpool and his name is Tim uh I just realized yeah I think you have Tim Miller Tim Miller yes yeah my brain's [ __ ] Tim Paul's good too though you know don't write off Tim paol Tim Miller there's an article recently that said uh he he said that what's the the female lead in this will scare the misogynists on the internet and I was like don't do that yeah don't don't don't going to come out anyway so let's not start up ourselves but McKenzie whatever her name is I can't remember yeah look I mean I'm down for any Terminator movie that Jimmy

C is involved in so you know his involvement excites me hopefully my friend Lance henriksson is back yeah yeah that would be great hopefully he's got some more um kitchen kitchen cover spread to put on his uh on his teeth do you mean tin foil yeah tin foil didn't quite get there cover spread I like to think he'll come back as the same cuz it's an alternate timeline his his character from the original t still be alive yeah exactly he'll have retired and he can just show up in a scene uh and he'll know he won't know what's going on because clearly the events of the first ter it didn't happen yeah never happened he'll just have he'll just have retired as yeah his

buddies retired as well they're just playing golf it just cuts to a nice that guy's dead though the uh oh he is yeah he is dead and we we know that for sure mhm yes the actor has passed away unfortunately is is that the actor whose house we were going to stay in in La yes yeah yeah and then we couldn't because he was dead yeah unfortunately so welcome to our comedy podcast yeah okay geek of the week um Marvel is uh running headlong into more movies uh like we didn't know that was going to happen yeah [ __ ] the the cash cow that is Marvel the Juggernaut is churning on um some of these I'm pretty excited about some of them I couldn't care less about and some

of them I don't even understand or know what they are so do we want to go down the list sure first off Black Widow movie uh sure no one I think it's too late no one's it's too late I agree I think uh just about any character from that first kind of 20 films if they didn't do already I don't really care about especially if spoilers you've killed them off well this is a prequel don't forget this is going to be how she became black and a widow no I think it's Set uh in I think it's set after Civil War uh it's not even yeah it's not not about that it's yes just what she was doing hanging out oh see see at least a prequel to everything would sort of make more sense than it just being smack bang in the middle we'll see maybe this is like the

Rogue one version of uh the Marvel Universe it does have David Harbor in it so yep I like him but then again soy so did Hellboy yeah yeah well mind he really hit his peak in stranger things three he he [ __ ] owned that he [ __ ] own can I say I don't want to spoiling for anybody I just [ __ ] love that they don't even mention it but he's you know he's watching Magnum PI and then he just dressing like Magnum PI the rest of the series yeah and then suddenly suddenly he's in the shirt yeah that was so funny like just no one says anything it's just he's suddenly [ __ ] Magnum PI yeah Magnum PI with a serious dad bod yes that was [ __ ] excellent so uh then after that the

eternals who are the eternals yeah I'm not really familiar with the eternals from the comics this is going to be like Guardians of the Galaxy I think where uh it's a space kind of you know comic yeah that people aren maybe maybe it'll be big it's got It's got [ __ ] Angelina Jolie in it yeah oh wow that's big casting it's got uh s mahay in it too so like yeah I don't know guys from the 90s can jerk off um remember her yeah she was all right and it's got Richard Madden and assuming that he's signed up for more than one he's probably not going to be James Bond as uh speculated but you know we'll see and uh James Bond news more on that later yeah yeah so there the eternals I

mean I know very little about it so it it might might be good might not be good they make a point of mentioning it's got a a deaf actor playing a deaf character yeah which is a first for the MCU I mean that's good well if if we want to segue slightly before we go on with this list the there's another actor from the MCU who uh who is probably against this de actor playing a de character uh because Scarlet Johansson has come out this week um yeah and said look first you criticized me for playing a Japanese person now you're criticizing me for playing a transgender person when I'm not Japanese nor transgender um but I'm an actor and I have the right to play whatever character I want human or

otherwise yeah I could play a tree she's coing a lot of flack this week yes that rough she she said it was taken out of context and then people I think are pick picking on and I think Fair the fact that a transperson in a tree and not the same thing obviously I think we could all agree the transvers tree quite think she look if you think a trans person are the same thing ride in podcast at multiple nasm.com no she didn't mean that um yeah and I do get what she was saying traditionally the role of the actor has been you can play anything I mean historically like yes exactly right um orell was always just a guy with boot polish on his face um but that's changed now and I think collectively the world has agreed that that's not what it wants

anymore yes so I do I mean the the the the Japanese character thing I still think I mean that character is not Japanese so no I mean I feel like that was all very overblown and I also disagree I mean they're quoting someone when they say this in the article but someone saying that it was that film was not successful because people were mad about her being cast in as another race it was not absolutely nobody was asking for a [ __ ] remake of Ghost in the Shell I don't think most people gave a [ __ ] or even knew that that that some people thought skylet Johansson was playing a Japanese person in the film when she wasn't playing a Japanese person like I don't think any of that

happened I think people just didn't like the movie yeah CU I actually watched this a couple of weeks ago and look um I'm not like big into anime so I didn't really know much about the ghost in the show but yeah I don't think they were trying to make something that is sort of anime sort of a little bit off to the side they were trying to make it mainstream [Music] of minorities who want better representation but the internet winges about casting at the best of times oh you know what I mean like you can't cast a m movie without everyone going oh looking he's not geralt you know yeah like so you're got to get criticism anywhere yeah too many women not enough women that woman has had a penis people

are going to complain yeah so like yes it's a sliding scale of importance uh and it is about representation but at the same time I think people need to calm the [ __ ] down because it's like if uh Matt if you are ever in the position to be the executive producer of a series of The Witcher and I hope you are then you get to cast whoever the [ __ ] you want and I'd encourage you to cast yourself because it was a role you were born to play but um yeah you'll have to fight uh William defo for it but other than that yes no if Willam defo geralt maybe I'll just cast myself as yennefer yeah I'd watch the fo [ __ ] you punch me in the dick you know what I mean think he makes love but if you're if you're not the producer of that movie then you've got the option to go and see

it or not go and see it so and and there's a there's a really really successful way of manipulating Hollywood into making the kind of movies that you want give them money not going to see them that's right so if if no one goes to see a Scarlet Johansson with a dick movie then they'll stop making Scarlet Johansson with a dick movie that reminds me i' never that I didn't get to watch my Michelle Rodriguez with a dick movie this week I really wanted because it's literally Michelle Rodriguez with a dick yeah that's right and stubble stuck onto her face yeah she has a prosthetic dick in this movie the assignment and I really want to see it can't wait can't wait um next on the Marvel list is Falcon and Winter Soldier buddy movie I guess this is the robin of the uh TV

series TV series okay actually a lot of lot the next four on this list are actually the TV series there's in the over two years so from 2020 to 2021 there's only going to be five movies and four television shows well I don't know about that Five television shows because they also said we're still going to get black panther 2 we're still getting Guardians 3 so when are they coming out 2022 yeah that's a long time that would be my guess fair enough fair enough so yeah Falcon W Soldier again I'm not sure who was asking for this but fine uh I mean if it was a movie I'd watch it if a series I'll probably skip it cuz I haven't I don't know any of the Marvel or DC series to be honest so I don't know if I would watch this I think

they have to be very careful what that Disney are doing now because I think everyone's a lot of people think got to endgame and they gone okay they need a break now yeah I can jump ship now I watched even had word end in it yeah yeah saying that I do want to see the next Thor movie I do want another guy into Galaxy I do want all that of course will you watch Shang Chi and the legend of the 10 rings I have no idea who that is I'm interested sounds different uh do you know of it uh Kung Fu stuff I guess uh I'm I'm down with that a bit of superhero martial arts sure I'll watch it yep I don't know a whole lot about it I know it's uh there's a terrorist organization

known as the 10 Rings they mention it in Iron Man at some point and it's about that sounds cool then we get then we get the next Doctor Strange yeah the next Doctor Strange I'm interested it's the guy who directed Sinister which is a movie that I really like and they've said it's going to be a a scary movie Scott deron's directing it uh and I think he might he might have done the first one but this one he say be a horror like the first how scary can it be when the name is the Multiverse of Madness well it's could be a HP Lovecraft apparently it's going to be very like more like the comics like [ __ ] weird [ __ ] no look I'm mean I liked Doctor Strange uh it wasn't a perfect movie you know I had some things to say about it at the time but yeah I'm

in I watch a I watch a sequel I think Doctor Strange so far has been better in The Avengers movies than he was in his own movie but uh which and that's the same with Ant-Man as well oh absolutely yeah but this yeah Str Scarlet Witch is in it too who's another character I like so well Scarlet Witch also has her own series coming out called Wonder Vision which I don't quite get this I will probably watch because if it's anything like Vision in the comics it's probably going to be [ __ ] weird and interesting so yep I mean I have I don't know anything about it apparently Paul betney claims not to know anything about it either cuz he's supposed to be dead so that's spers so I don't know how the [ __ ] this cuz it takes place after endgame well so we going to have to wait

till spring next year and now the next one television show comes out after Dr R is what if in 2020 what the hell is what if what if is going to be an animated series from what I understand and the wh ifs are Comics well in the past there were comics where they would just say don't worry about the ongoing story lines and the plot everything what if this happened like instead and so it kind of gives them freedom to just say what if you know what if uh Ant-Man was the Hulk like [ __ ] like that yeah that's a bad example tiny Hulk no I would watch this [ __ ] yeah like a little baby exactly like that yeah yeah um yeah so do we think this is possibly going to be an anthology Series where every episode is something completely different I would I would imagine so maybe or maybe

they'll do like a SE Arc or something like that but I don't know but uh yeah it's got Jeffrey Wright playing The Watcher who I will literally watch anything with Jeffrey Wright in it uh and that was another trailer that came out today if nobody saw the uh stranger things stranger things [ __ ] Westworld season 3 trailer oh sure I didn't I didn't CU I haven't watched season two so I didn't want to spoil it ah Fair uh this wouldn't spoil it necessarily but uh you certainly wouldn't get the impact of it so I I say go and catch up on season 2 because it was pretty good yeah yeah not as good as season one by a long by a long way but well season one was so good that that still doesn't mean it's bad no exactly right exactly um and after that a

Hawkeye series or movie series I think series again all the ones with the little Disney underneath I think are the television series all right Hawkeye fair enough I think look if it's just him working on his Ranch and hanging out with his family I'll watch that but if it's him you know going off on solo Adventures I'm not sure what missions that you would go [ __ ] it just get me Hawkeye and no one else yeah yeah I think this is another one where no one's really asking for the Standalone hawkey this is going to be another case of like the Star Wars Standalone films where they'll make one no one will like it and then they'll just stop yes well and then we skipped over one which is the Loki series which apparently true is confirmed to be

following the Loki that pinched the stone and disappeared in end game in the past not the ly died spoilers that's going to make stuff confusing then well it isn't it isn't cuz you just just assume the TV show doesn't relate to the films at all and then problem solved oh that's great yeah okay Fantastic look out of all the things up here there's the one I'm most looking forward to is the one that's next on the list which is Thor Thor love and thunder yeah tyy TT is back directing yes and someone else is back yeah [ __ ] Nellie Portman's back Natalia Port manovich she's going to be the female Thor yep really so Thor all right you know how do that D she's just Thor

she's just Thor okay she's not the thoret or something I I'm question I don't know how this is going to work right because I know that in the comics uh There's a comic series that that they referenced on stage also I think some of this is speculation taay TD said he liked the The Arc where Jane Foster became Thor right but Jane Foster became Thor presumably by wielding molner so why didn't Captain America just turned into Thor when he picked it up so how the [ __ ] I don't I don't understand how this is going to work maybe he did maybe he did wait he was wearing gloves he was wearing gloves I mean look I'm going to watch this movie and I'm sure even if it [ __ ] ignores all that other stuff and then n Port picks up the hammer and becomes th okay fine I yeah fine I'll

watch watch ta y reckons he can [ __ ] top Thor Ragnarok then I am all in to let him try yeah if they want want to crowdfund this movie I'll buy my ticket in advance you know yeah yeah I think whatever this ends up being it's going to be entertaining so it does sort of suck that the one we're most interested for is the one we have to wait the longest for yeah yeah a couple of years see this yeah speaking of taer Y Titi I finally took a look at the what we do in the shadows spin-off series oh I got to watch that you do it's excellent okay I was skeptical uh listener and friend of the show Gordon said that it was uh better than the movie and we scoffed um but I'm a couple of episodes in and so far it's

really good so okay yeah yeah right I'll have to do that yeah speaking of vampires man seg going on this week I'm pretty interested about this one I must say [ __ ] new Blade no date attached to it but they've got an actor Mahala Ali butchered his name no no I think that's about right he um he's been in a couple of things uh most recently I saw him in the third season of True Detective yep all right there you go uh and he was [ __ ] excellent so let's do it he's blade so yeah just keep y David goyer away from this yeah now is blade is this going to be in this universe or is this I assume blade I would think so yeah I would think they wouldn't they wouldn't uh give up the

opportunity to have uh they're not going to do what um DC are doing and making it confusing that there man DC just don't know how to make a movie series do they so yeah we still got the DC Universe happening but they here we're also throwing out all these Standalone movies that aren't involved in it luck yeah well speaking of which there was some news that came out uh this week on the DC front news on the DC saying yeah saying that uh in the upcoming Birds of Prey film Yan McGregor is going to play Black Mask as DC's first ever outwardly gay

super villain fair enough okay I don't know why that's news but good good and I do see I can see some of the reactions only because I'm like how the [ __ ] is this this a tweet how the [ __ ] is black Mas going to be flamboyantly gay what goes on like fair enough actually I'll tell you now he's probably not going to beyly gay and I would love it if they have all this media hype saying he's gay he's gay he's gay and then in the movie it just never comes up and then everyone's like what the [ __ ] he said he was gay and they're like yeah he was gay this is going to be like that uh that scene in Star Trek Beyond right they made a big fuss about the fact that uh that um yes uh what's his name um George de K's character Sulu was Gayu and then everyone was like ah

yeah and and George to was like oh there but the character wasn't gay this is just kind of weird because you're bringing my real life into the character that I made and all this kind of stuff and then there was just one scene in the movie where you just saw him with his husband and and that was it yep it didn't even come out it yeah I mean maybe maybe there'll be a scene where Margo Robbie offers him a bit and he's like ah no not not really my style thanks no and then you just have to be like [ __ ] he must be gay that's the only explanation who [ __ ] cares if he's gay I don't understand what's going on here who gives a [ __ ] hey have you guys seen uh the third season of Fargo oh you dropped out there sorry you dropped out there yeah have I have I

dropped in have I dropped back in yes no you're in now yeah I just don't know what the third season of yeah s third season of and oh I'll just leave it out there just building up suspense I think have you guys seen the third series of Fargo no I never finished the second one actually and I wanted to I just I just forgot about it okay second season great third season even better uh obviously they're not related so you could just skip ahead and watch it you and McGregor plays two characters and he's [ __ ] amazing and it's great and should watch it all right I'm almost jealous of you because you're going to be watching it having not seen it you know what I mean I was going to say you can watch it as well then you watch it yeah but you know and and don't I'm not I'm not implying

there's a Twist or anything like this there's there's not it's just really great it's just a very beautifully written um yeah kind of little Adventure I really I loved the first season and I was enjoying the second one and I just I I guess I just got distracted by something else and then I will watch they've actually they've cast the the third season now but of course you the cast you tell nothing about it because they're all completely set in completely different decades each season too but um third season's got uh Chris Rock in it yeah right so we'll see Jason schwartzman's in there as well who might so we'll see y well they dropped a couple other names at uh at the Marvel panel but with no dates attached to them like we mentioned before black panther 2 is coming Captain

Marvel 2 Guardians of the Galaxy 3 uh they are as everybody predicted doing a Fantastic Four film okay cuz they've got the rights back now don't they they do well many people have tried um so well I mean many people tried to do Spider-Man too and then I think they've been the most successful so I would go out on a limb and say that the best Spider-Man adaptation is still um Spider-Man into the spiderverse fair I mean I I'm we all know I still really love the Sam Ramy films but I I will but that that that's not everyone's cup of tea yeah so I guess the only discrepancy if they make a Fantastic Four movie is going to be a bit confusing because Chris where hell

are the uh uh the new Bond film which Daniel Craig is in as James Bond right yes has also they've cast Lana Lynch who was in Captain Marvel she was yep Captain Marvel's friend uh the pilot uh they've cast her as a black female 007 yeah and yes what does that mean well I think the easiest solution is the Luke I stepped on your toes there go ahead so so what what I what I think it is is basically cuz that's just a designation so7 isn't James Bond right but right it's just so he retires moves off and then she gets promoted hey you're the new7 do they use

the same numbers again has that ever come up in the series I would be very surprised if there's only ever been nine secret agents with a double o yeah yeah Fair since since World War II yeah no they do they do they do reuse them in the books there's a little bit of that going on uh occasionally you do hear about other o agents I know in gold and I you see6 Shan bean and it's [ __ ] amazing and uh you know in uh in golden golden eye gold finger um when he's on the little laser bed he says 8 rule replace me oh you know we know there's these other guys going out there but uh only the gold yeah I think themed films yeah man with a golden gun same thing I think that I think what they're trying to do

is sort of yeah it's they're trying to yeah not you're not recasting James Bond they're just yeah making it some someone at Universe making another movie who's female in Black so yeah but she's just in this people can't get upset like it's not I mean people are jumping into some conclusions here like she's in this film as a as a A7 agent that doesn't mean mean she's going to be James Bond no it definitely doesn't and and that's certainly how the headlines have been sensationalizing this yes yeah um cuz the F the first cuz this came out a few days ago and it's kind of simmered down to the just the facts now but in the in the first couple of days the first headline I read was legitimately Daniel Craig recast James Bond now played by black woman and in

fact the first the first the first article I read actually went one step further and said black transsexual woman and then but I think I think someone was just confused about who Lana Lyn was do it do it you coward just to just to piss everyone else off yeah I agree yeah but imagine like they've got if they I mean they should have a female James Bond just cuz I think it would be great like and also and I just don't give a [ __ ] about the people seem to get really mad about but I think it would be great but she's got to be like James Bond like yeah yeah like Jane Bond but like a a [ __ ] like

give no details about the plot of this movie other than to say no we're not going to tell you anything about it cuz we don't want anyone talking about it by the way no a black woman will be 007 I've said too much I've said said too much yeah just uh you know just just let me give you some throwaway facts that they know it's provocative they know exactly what they were doing yes sorry got everyone talking about it dick with you but but yeah we should we should send that off and put that as a recommendation yeah yeah it's it's [ __ ] no more crazy than [ __ ] Galore exactly exactly yeah I would love to watch a film like female James Bond that was just

one does she get shot in is it the it's that one Her Majesty Secret Service or oh no you're thinking of his wife yeah yeah right right yeah but that that that was that's that came after that was the sixth the sixth film yeah so you got you have Dr No and then I never I can never remember the next one neither let me get the order James Bond order I'm uh annoyed that I can't oh it is it's From Russia with Love okay yeah oh sure so Dr No From Russia with Love Goldfinger Thunderball what the hell guys what the hell only lived twice yeah I can see why this is why conry wanted out at this point then on her majesty Secret Service great movie great recasting um but disastrous disastrous for many reasons and then back to connory for one before

completely recasting and changing the tone completely for Live and Let Die Roger Moore when it got different not bad it's different yeah but don't forget it had started getting different by Thunderball anyway sure I don't know how long it's been since you've seen Thunderbolt but two3 of the movie is set underwater and it's incredibly boring it's incredibly boring is it the one with the submarine it is yeah yeah and then the next one You Only Live Twice uh which is oft forgotten nobody even mentions this movie when you're talking about James Bond movie it is a connory version but it's the one where he flies around in a silly the helicopter oh Japanese one and he dresses as a he disguises himself as a Japanese in yellow face yeah does he
