Dustin Hoffman there you go uh and one of them Dustin Hoffman I think does a LAP to uh to get himself all worn out ready for the scene and Peter UL says to him what are you doing and he Dustin says I'm squaring myself out so that I'm worn out in the scene P says Ah I just act yeah yeah there's a there's also a famous Strasburg experiment at the Strasburg drama school where uh he he said to his students he got one out of the class and he said okay you see that huge black curtain behind me on the stage she said yeah he goes um I want you to pretend that there's a pin hidden somewhere in that curtain and um I want want you to pretend you've got a minute to find it

and she was like okay sure and so she's like where's the pin oh is it here oh is it here so he lets the minute run and he's like okay thanks class collapse then he goes so let me rephrase there is a pin hidden in that and you've got one minute to find it or you're out of my class and then she's like [ __ ] and she's like [ __ ] running around she's like oh where's this [ __ ] pin so um you know I think there's something to be said about yeah a method that's interesting yeah what do you think Luke I don't think they're good actors just across the board yep what you you don't think Daniel de Lewis is a good actor no I think you should should be able to turn it on and then go see you over all right I'll be in my dressing room yeah with my hookers and

blow okay so can I can I just interject here for a sec I I just want I just want to ask a question um Luke have you started your your acting classes have you yes I have I started last 4 so you've had a total you've had one class y okay see you're an expert now let's uh he's had one class and he's like Daniel D Lewis how many classes has he been to yeah so um I did High School drama as well in your I know I was there in your class um did you just switch something on then switch it off then go to your dressing room is that what happened yep pretty much I want to hear about the class just claimed an office as my dressing room what' you learn in your first class uh people's names okay and

also the worst part I learned is in I think eight weeks time I have to perform that's good what are you perform usually part of a drama class but go on but I I I'm not I don't perform on stage I prefer film is that what you told them yes I hope that's what you told all I mean he says that but to be honest Matt he's quite prolific in his film appearances I know I know it's just yep that's good that's very good did you did you tell them lead roles only oh yes of course and no if you're looking for a scene to perform I hear there's a pretty good uh pretty good scene in the new film Lighthouse starring Robert patson familiar with this Luke no I am not who's this Bert Patterson so this was on my radar because um I I love I love

Robert Edgar um sure which sounds like a it sounds like a madeup name yeah that's right but it's it's it sounds like maybe his name was eggington and the boys just call him Edgars ego but his name is Robert Edgar Robert Edgar Robert Lego my Edgar that's a I don't know do you have that in Australia oh you know what it is from from stranger things um mhm there's a scene in the lighthouse apparently the first scene they shot and uh apparently Robert Robert patson uh Robert patson is the guy from Twilight Luke who's now going to be Batman he's the new Batman y yeah well uh in Lighthouse uh he jerks off and I really hope he's not a methoda well let me let me okay this is this is

him speaking right uhhuh well my first shot was this ferocious masturbation scene it's always nice to do massive sear opening shot and I went really massive on the first take it was a 180 from everything we've done in rehearsal and I could see Robert was a little in shock afterwards but I was like okay cool I didn't get told to stop so I just keep going in that direction and as soon as I'd done that it was like the road started getting paved and I I was just jerking off in every scene try and stop me so he just went to town wow oh okay I love that I love that it was a 180 from everything we done rehearsal so the director the director told me don't

jerk off yeah I didn't do any jerking off and now I was jerking off ferociously nobody expected this from me it was not discussed or wanted yeah cuz if there's one thing that uh I mean you probably learned this in your one acting class that you've done is you have to fre out the crew and director by doing a 180 of what you've done in rehearsals if the director says definitely don't pull down your hands and [ __ ] in the middle of the scene then that's what you want the first thing you do that's great I mean look I've I've always said well not always because I didn't watch that garbage Twilight but um since everything else is done which seems to be Robert patson trying to remind people that he can do more than

set were that that Robert patson got so in you know I guess method acting he got got so drunk on set that he would literally vomit black out and P himself what the hell rolling the cameras on that and um yeah I really can't wait to see this distributed by a24 and it's released worldwide tomorrow so if we were making a film and any one of us got so drunk that we vomited blacked out and pissed ourselves Dan you would put it in the film I know you 100% 100% I remember once when we were making a film and um just as a little on the side um former co-host of this pretended to [ __ ] Luke and I kept rolling and um now that's one of my favorite scenes in the film yeah yep yep that that's the thing yeah while I was wearing an Hospital underwear and

nothing else yep and completely shaved head to toe yep I I still don't know why I agreed to film that don't worry this is just for us why is that just for us why would you ever believe Dan yeah when he says that if if someone said to me can I [ __ ] you on camera don't worry it's just for us it's not even that it's just for like nothing about that would make me go this is probably all right well I'm very trusting you certainly are we mentioned Joker earlier and we were going to talk about Joker a little bit last week but we wanted to wait for you Luke cuz you weren't here last week Luke you were at packs no yes Pax and I accidentally forgot my laptop how first of all how how was Pax great as always good I do love paxes

it's like Bruce Wayne and Joker and just have that as another movie and it'd be fine on its own MH so it could have just been a crazy man yeah okay other than that though did you did you enjoy the film I enjoyed it um I'll never see it again though I have no urge to sit down and watch that movie again I've seen I love I'd love it to start putting some of Luke's quotes on on posters because then like he's not knocking this thing it would be like I enjoyed it I will never watch It Again Luke critic okay yeah that's just yeah I've seen it it was okay mhm um it was a bit weird you said it was a bit Arty it was a bit Arty for me yeah um

there was one bit in the movie I was getting a bit confused about when he was having that relationship yes oh yeah so um I didn't quite understand that and I go and then it came out yeah that was all in his head right yeah and well a lot of it's ambiguous actually when you think about it because um one of the thing that's what I think one of the things I like about it is that uh cuz people were worried that it was going to spoil the Joker because the whole point of The Joker Is you don't really know what his backstory is but I I think if you think you know what his backstory is after watching this film then you must have watched a different film to me cuz I have no [ __ ] idea what was true and what wasn't yeah that's right like what was just in his head and yeah well not

even that was his M's head and not even that but he himself is a completely unreliable narrator and we only see everything through his very subjective point of view so whether or not it's a delusion it's is kind of beside the point because can we really trust any that this guy is telling us about his own story because he he discovers right that he's potentially adopted not the son of Thomas Wayne or whatever that his mom told him and then later on he finds a photo of his mom and Thomas Wayne and on the back of it it says love your smile tww yeah love I put in you yeah it's just so maybe but I love that's what I loved about this movie is that it

it gave you it dangled a carrot and you were like oh is that true and they were like no it's not true and you're like [ __ ] and you're like or is it every single thing they like put out there took back a little bit doubled down on and then draw a question mark over like the Riddler yeah we've got Riddler news coming up yeah we do um I just want to call back to a couple of weeks ago um Luke you said something about this movie uh that uh that I just want to correct um so you said this movie is not really not really making its budget back and I just like to just like to point out that as of now as of today Forbes has listed it's doing fine now profit of this film as $650

million um so yeah it's doing just fine at the time we were recording from the information I had available looking good it was not looking good yes well it's looking good now it was just weird sort of going in to watch it on opening weekend in an empty Cinema so did I yeah me too for me too wasn't empty but there there wasn't certainly wasn't packed house like Avengers were you furiously masturbating while you watched this how else do you watch movies I mean people did get up and leave but I thought that was film I wasn't Furious you know but I was masturbating I usually yell when I'm furious yeah and my dick you w going to be masturbated you son of a [ __ ] there was an article this week

about how apparently Jared Leto got so pissed off that when he found out they were making this movie with Wen Phoenix that he tried to get his agent to uh to have the film like like to to put a stop to it you know because he's he's an Oscar winner and he wanted them to to tell him [ __ ] off you can't make a joker film without him I don't I don't know how true that is arguably the worst Joker that's ever existed yeah I I like Jared Le and other stuff yeah to it just yeah well actually I don't know if I like him and other stuff I tolerate him I got no problem with him yeah I'm trying to I mean he's he's good in Blade Runner 2049 he's good in yeah he's good in everything but not I've not been like guys do you want to go and see the new uh jaredo movie no

because he's a he's for me he's one of those people who he's a musician primarily in my mind I I don't know why he's I've put him in that box cuz he you know he's baned 30 Seconds to Mars and so I've I've categorized him over there so when he's in films I'm like oh the singer turned act's there and David Bowie just uh singers who can act well see David bowi was never the best actor but he was David Bo gives a [ __ ] yeah exactly [ __ ] David Bowie in a movie perfect yeah I mean I love I love David Bowie's films I mean the man who filter Earth is an amazing film but you s the whole time going what is David Bowie doing Labyrinth staring David Bowie's crotch yeah in those tight and someone else's hands as David Bowie's hands yeah that's right juggling the the crystal walls

don't know how else it could have gone really what I liked about that scene was that I feel that was that was the moment that he stopped being uh Fleck Fleck yes arur Arthur Fleck Affleck is that is that a [ __ ] coincidence I don't know um and started being the Joker like yes which is his true Persona you know like he everything changed as soon as he soon as he put that makeup on as soon as he was addressed as Joker by that host he became something else so I I I I felt there was a tone shift from that point but I I I thought it was justified yeah I liked that uh you he got made into like this kind of political figure and uh everyone oh he's taking on the the the finan people from

you know the the the what you call it the rich people from uh from Wayne Enterprise all that kind of stuff he didn't even [ __ ] know who they were yeah they just pissed him off yeah yeah that's the thing that everyone else and especially the media put all of this stuff all of this baggage on him uh he's just a crazy person yeah he's just a [ __ ] dude and they're like oh he's making a statement this that and the other no [ __ ] crazy oh my favorite line is it in the whole film was the um uh he says I'm going to I'm going to butcher it but he says I used to wonder if I even existed but I'm pretty sure I do now and other people are starting to notice as well yeah like that I thought that really kind of summed up what was happening yeah is that he he killed a

bunch of people and he's like oh well that had an effect I was watching this movie going [ __ ] I really relate to this guy and then he starts like shooting people I'm like oh [ __ ] damn to talk my therapist about this this is what they warned us about in the news true this is why everyone's always telling me to calm down stop going on about Thomas Wayne Dan I um I found the character of Thomas Wayne very interesting um in that he's not any Thomas Wayne I've seen in any other I mean I watched uh we discussed last week how I I just rewatched Batman Begins and Thomas Wayne is basically Jesus without the beard yeah you know he's a [ __ ]

doctor he's saving children he's he's like yeah like uh why do we never see you at Wayne TOS are I'm always at the hospital you know what I mean like yeah exactly and this guy why does that guy kill him again yeah cuz he well cuz he Joe Chill cuz he robs him but this made it more uh ambiguous but it's but it's from the Joker's point of view like you said yeah but I also love it and and I also find it interesting that the desire to cast somebody well known in that role as Thomas Wayne um like you know like a distinguished older I can't even I can't even think who it might might be but even just like a Brian Cox or or someone recognizable

in that role sure to just give it weight but they didn't and I think there was there was like a a real decision made there like to just kind of take some of the emphasis off him even though he's kind of a major character he's he's just no one he's just a thug he's just some [ __ ] Rich [ __ ] you know and we we see someone who's potentially Alfred as well but it's not some it's not uh Michael Kane or uh Jeremy Irons you know what I mean it's it's just like some [ __ ] buff English dude who's like [ __ ] off mate yeah exactly and it's it's just really undermines I think that the thing that this movie does the best is undermine um tropes even the ones that it sets up itself yes and I found that really refreshing better than the last

Jedi I will agree to that yeah sorry to do that well speaking of uh speaking of The Last Jedi um speaking of killing the past um we've got a new trailer for Rise of Skywalker dropping Monday Monday night apparently so it'll be Tuesday for us Luke when we wake up Tuesday morning should be waiting for us I get it's dropping during the football and everything drops I just find it so weird though well it's because Ian footb fans and Star Wars fans are the same people now deal with it yeah I know this goes against everything it's new it's the it's Boston versus New York it's it's how it rolls so that's a big game here apparently so people will be watching TV so they're putting the trailer on I'm excited to see if this is anything like the

spoilers that I've read Because I noticed there were some more spoilers out too I declined reading them I'll watch the uh I watch the trailer and decide if I need any spoilers okay I haven't seen any spoilers yet I've I've read a bunch I don't care at this point and honestly I'm kind of hoping they're true because it's going to be interesting burn it down just [ __ ] come on JJ I he said this week that he's he's just trying to give a satisfying conclusion to The Saga so okay and they're actually saying like this is going to be like an end it's not going to be like the end of R return to Jedi the whole [ __ ] universe [Laughter] the end so yeah we'll wait and see cuz we find it the movie comes out what

December so it's very soon tiet we'll go on sale as soon as the trailer drops yeah Monday okay I'm going to go to the midnight screening so I can see it before all of you yeah know I'm going to I'll go I'll go see a midnight one for this this I mean this might be the last Star Wars movie I go to the midnight screening for but we'll see I think it will be for me as well like I know they're going to be bringing out standal loans and stuff but are they oh no are they who know well they don't know what they're doing now I guess they I don't believe I think this anything I read now about this I I think they're probably going to wait and see what happens with this one because the last one C I mean the last one I think was financially successful

but there was a lot of you know a lot of off stuff about it doesn't matter if the movie is terrible it's still going to make money yes but then people were grumpy about the last one let's the thing that Disney have that no one else seems to have though is that Disney seem to have a standard that they want to adhere to you know and and it's because the Marvel movies predominantly were all so strong that they don't like it when they bring one out that's not strong so I think that even though the Last Jedi probably made him a ton of cash I think the the wound that they got from you know the c a public opinion probably means a lot to them so I hope that is true and I hope they do try to course correct here with with something that's

actually a decent movie and not you know a [ __ ] abortion look I've been saying it for a long time give this Rogue one two and let's kill some B two one two and then just call it that yeah that's right well who doesn't want to see that not only sorry not only rise of Skywalker we've got [ __ ] Mandalorian coming out soon like like is it that's looking I've I've got more is it oh my God I I I'm I'm psyched for that more than I'm psyched for Rise of Skywalker quite quite honestly how how are you guys do are you guys getting Disney plus I I mean I know well that's what I was about to ask Dan I know we are Disney I don't know about Singapore I get Disney

plus November 12th I think here I think we get it two days later all right okay and I need you to set up a webcam of your Telly sure have you seen this uh this made me laugh there's a the trailer that Disney's released for the Disney plus catalog sorry a trailer yeah a trailer it's three and a half hours long yeah so funny cuz I'm actually trying to find out what's on it and I just want list The Verge The Verge list it it there's [ __ ] tons on there mate but yeah like the list like cuz I tried to go through the list as well but there's sort of no sort of order to it it's just and I just gave up I went to the website the Disney plus website and um they do have trailers for all their original programming that

they're they're going to launch on it and I must admit only the Mandalorian has tickled my proverbial Fancy from from that list you know I I I don't really don't care about any of the other stuff and it would be great to have all the Disney content in one place um I'd be Keen to know what uh former Lucas Arts properties there are and what versions of them are are going to be on there I.E I'm sort of are we going to get theatrical cuts of original trilogy who knows I don't know I think I don't think that would be I think if they were to do that I think that would be a cinema release they would want to cash in on that yeah probably I really do yeah you could be right but I'm interest I'm also

trying to find out like what cuz of all movies today but what's their TV side going to be as well yeah they've got a lot of uh Disney Channel movies that Jenna's very excited about cuz she had the Disney Channel but we did not in Australia so I don't know what any of these movies are like there's particular ones like I know there's one called Smart House that she's very excited to watch again so okay yeah well I will know in 29 days 21 hours 18 minutes and 52 seconds it's very precise you go to if you go to the Disney Disney plus website it's got to countown don't sign up for Dy plus that's not the same thing now and then I have to decide which streaming service that I replace with oh in with in I'm replacing in with

one out with one is that how it works yeah I think so and I'm also thinking about I'm just going to do the yearly pay just pay yearly subscription monthly apparently there's a plan uh here where you can get Disney plus and Hulu for basic what I'm ping for Hulu already so sounds good sounds good unfortunately we don't get that here but yeah so I'm just going to pay for the yearly subscription and save myself 20 bucks [ __ ] bargain mate bargain bargain speaking of um trailers for things that are coming out on streaming Matt did you see that there's a trailer for um season 4 of man in the High Castle oh I didn't see that I saw the expanse season 4 trailer the other weekend I'd [ __ ] love that so man in the High

Castle I'm going to have to watch that yeah yeah looks interesting fourth and final yeah wrapping it up wrapping it up hopefully they do a good job I noticed uh the the and I actually I've seen people talking about at New York ComicCon the expanse they they showed uh the first episode in Full I think and everyone was saying that the um the the change to Amazon has meant the budget clearly increased and the special effects like oh it increased like it looks like a [ __ ] movie now so that's great I it look pretty [ __ ] good before yeah that's why I'm I'm shocked that yeah they got more so hopefully uh yeah hopefully it's all good and was man the High Castle always Amazon or not I

think it was yeah I believe it was cuz it's got pretty the production value on that's pretty [ __ ] good way higher than you would think it can afford because I can't imagine that many people are watching this you know what I mean I'm shocked this is Four Seasons worth yeah because it seems like pretty like I mean we love it extremely Niche though yeah but apparently people are everybody that I've told check it out has [ __ ] loved it like uh friends of ours said you should watch this show and they're like oh I don't know and then then they're like I just watched all [ __ ] three seasons it was great yeah okay watch it listeners I watched an interesting show that you might like Matt uh it's called the English title is

the bridge but it's a Scandinavian you know uh oh yeah Noir crime Noir Series yeah um there is a there is a bridge that joins Denmark and Sweden and a body is found laying across the exact halfway mark on that bridge and um so it's about you know they want to fight to see who gets to solve it yeah kind of that sort of pushed the body over to the other side go this is your problem both both of those things and more and then having to work together and a bit creepy um the funny thing about it is that um I watched I I watched it all over the weekend and I thought [ __ ] that's this is great it was really really quite compelling um and then I kind of just Googled for some you know some trivia on it and stuff and I found out that it's

been remade in Britain um except it's been called the tunnel and it's it's set in the in the the the the channel tunnel between Britain and France it's been remade in America about uh the El Paso Bridge halfway between the United States and Mexico and for some reason I didn't know this it's been remade Singapore it's been remade in Singapore about a body found halfway between the bridge between Singapore and Malaysia so I don't know it kind of cheapens the whole experience for me but it is a good premise um but I Scandinavian shows good in my in my experience so far they do a real good job of him like uh I'm also watching One on uh it's not Scandinavian but I'm I'm watching a a French kind of crime Noir on Netflix right now called The Dead

Zone oh yeah which is quite interesting I'm only two episodes in but it's yeah I just I love that kind of European [ __ ] cold wet and dark there's a Finnish one that I watched I forgotten the name of it but I'm pretty sure I know I talked about it on here I forgot the name of it CU we watched I guess we watch watch quite a few but that was it was really good too yeah sh that perfume one the German one that was good yeah that was great they're all kind of got that similar vibe to them um yeah dark you know what it's kind of did you [ __ ] hate him yeah yeah M did you watch Luther with um Ida no you know what I we watched maybe the first episode or two I I quite liked it but uh yeah we never watched any more of it

yeah I had to watch um I had to watch an episode of it for for my course and um I thought actually it's not bad I I I find those British crime dramas I don't know a little limiting and but I think it's me I think maybe I'm just waiting for them to get a bit more American you know sure whereas like the police force they don't act like American cops so it seems farfetched to me uh watch the bill when I was a kid yeah exactly they not quite the same at all but yeah yeah so those ones still don't sck like to the formula as much as the American ones do yeah yeah but quite good I'm gonna I'm gonna maybe give Luther another another look yeah I might check that out yeah there's a topic we we didn't talk about it last week uh it's been it's been kind of I guess big is news in the gaming world uh

and well in the world in general I suppose um I love that you led with us big news in the gaming World well is spend a day here and no one can shut up about this so uh there there's some [ __ ] going on in uh in Hong Kong obviously you're probably aware some not very good stuff is going on in Hong Kong and uh the gaming aspect of it is that uh a uh the winner of a I think a Hearthstone tournament uh was was the first instance he uh as part of his I guess acceptance speech said something about you know like free the people of Hong Kong or whatever and yeah part of the thing that he did was he sort of put on a mask that the protesters have been sort of using and yeah yeah show his support as well and blizzard uh fired

him and said that he took away his prize and everyone was like [ __ ] what because uh presumably blizzard does a lot of business business in China so it's yeah they make a lot of money there everyone makes a lot of money about China that's the thing well that's two billion been now that's the thing you can't piss off China there's got you've got that happening blizz since then actually Blizzard's banned some more people uh I I don't know if they're banning them they may have walked that back to suspensions now but they've banned a couple more college students uh over comments made about Hong Kong um and apple got in trouble this week or the possibly the week before because there

was an app that was uh basically it let you know where the police were congre ating so that you could avoid them however it was also put forward that actually it would help you locate the police if you wanted to go and do something to them and so I I failed to see how an app that tells you where the police are even if so that you can avoid them is something that they thought was not going to get them some extra scrutiny anyway sure so Apple pulled it uh and I think put it back back but I'm not sure where that stands right now cuz I feel like that this whole thing has been very shaky and the reason for apple as well is that Apple [ __ ] makes all their stuff in China like they can't afford unfortunately to piss off China like the

thing yeah that's right I I mean we can but no but lot of companies can't but even like the NBA is having issues with it now as well right and there's like a $4 billion that they make in China alone not this week they don't NBA is completely banned temporarily at least in China mhm taken off because that's the thing China have a zero tolerance policy for supporting Hong Kong right now so right it doesn't it doesn't matter it doesn't matter what you say or it does doesn't you can't just go look you know I support this but you know the company do no if you say something in favor of Hong Kong right now China will just [ __ ] ban you and they've done it you know what I mean well well I'm sorry to our Chinese listeners who probably South Park is now banned in China of course oh

yeah I saw that too uh not for the same reason but uh Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is not be screening in China but only because apparently they don't like the way Bruce Lee was portrayed no but that is kind of the idea I mean that's the point of how they portray Bruce Lee and that is to be subversive yes but I can see why it pissed him off so that's uh that's that's the Chinese news unfortunately it's kind of a unfortunate situation because I don't know what the [ __ ] people are going to do about it to be honest mate you mean Gamers or you mean the people in Hong Kong I mean everybody what the [ __ ] do we do about this like as the rest of the world weeks it is insane what the [ __ ] are we going to do because we rely on them like pretty

heavily like like say for Apple what the [ __ ] is Apple going to do like they can't just say [ __ ] China like what are they going to do so I don't know it's it's a pretty [ __ ] situation to be honest not funny not not entirely you possibly don't need to dwell on it too much but that is the news so anyone got any jokes about it not particularly though no not really I mean it's pretty it's pretty heavy over here right now I mean we're we're fairly close we're fairly close to this and uh you know half the people I know are from China or Hong Kong directly or indirectly so everyone's got an opinion qu's been over to Hong Kong twice since this thing has been on so oh wow yeah I I haven't been there in a while but uh you know it's very it's

very present right now and we don't know what's going to happen cuz here's the thing like either either China's going to back down which is going to be massive because China doesn't back down on anything or I mean they're going to be yeah or they're going to roll the [ __ ] tanks in yeah or [ __ ] Kong will just back down but which is what everyone thought was going to happen but it's been [ __ ] 19 weeks of straight rioting well that's the thing with these protests it's not sort of like in Australia you get like protests a lot of people go this is like 34 of Hong Kong out in the streets it's huge and uh but what I love about this is that uh they're so respectful like they they stormed the airport a few weeks ago and the airport the whole airport closed

down they had to all air traffic was stopped um because it was just so intense uh and then the next day um the protesters went back and tied it up and they uh they picked up all the the rubbish that they'd left behind and sorry yeah yeah they did and they actually there was a bunch of them that had signs um as people got off the planes that said sorry that your flight was delayed um we're just we're just trying to get our rights back yeah cuz they're not trying to inconvenience actual people they're just yeah yeah they want what they what they want what they've most all of them have sort of grown up with mhm but that's the problem because China is saying well you shouldn't have [ __ ] grown up with that because you always meant to be

yeah I don't know I we'll see oh it's motherless Brooklyn his film that he's he's out uh doing his doing press for which actually I've seen the trailer for that the one you know where he's the kind of autistic uh try get yeah well you know he he always does that though he plays you know uh yeah Primal Fear where he played the yeah uh the the split personality and then there was the other one too the what was the The Heist one where he pretended he was yeah he was you know mental I shouldn't say that also star anyway I don't think you're supposed to talk about it at all Matt yeah fair enough uh well the first piece of news

is that uh he says that it's not Netflix and streaming services that are killing theaters and Cinema it's the [ __ ] theaters themselves because by not having their screens bright enough yeah well he basically just said the experience is [ __ ] which is pretty true to be honest uh but they're still making a lot of money I don't see well this is this is a quote a lot of filmmakers and cinematographers that I know have really started to look into this and say that more than 60% of American theaters are running their projector at half the almost half the Luminosity that they're required by contract to run it out they're delivering crappy sound a dim picture and no one's calling them out on it you want to train people like go and get your money back if the movie looks

dark it was dark so go and get your money back I think we should rally around that I really do and I I tend to agree because you remember when solo came out and everyone was complaining that it was dark and muddy but I mean I didn't think it was and it maybe America is different maybe America has a lot of old Cinemas still left over from the past but I mean Cinemas here are pretty good you know everything's digital everything I mean sounds always great picture quality is always great I've certainly not had any complaints here I mean I do know that we used to used to sometimes go to the movies and you be like oh we're in an old Cinema so it's not going to be as good but I haven't had that experience in a while we have we have that the one

I mean the one I saw Joker in was fine but it was not one of the the fancier ones so right yeah I think over here we only have the fancy ones now yeah right yes that and people behave like [ __ ] animals in the movies now too that's true that's true the the respect that people used to have for the cinema space is absolutely gone turn your phone off people turn your phone off and shut the [ __ ] up shut up and you know what if it's not a [ __ ] comedy stop laughing why are you laughing being to laugh at things I've laughed at things that aren funny honestly sitting there watching [ __ ] horror Thriller and everyone's laughing and it's like you know you got you're

been in trouble since the 50s when TV came out I mean theat keeping every second movie is breaking a record for amount of money made on a weekend and do you know um uh sc's new film which is only the was it the Irishman is only on Netflix now and it was supposed to get a theatrical release except the theaters got their [ __ ] because they said oh we're going to stream it within you know a couple of weeks and they were like no uh [ __ ] you and so six months yeah yeah well make nothing then like yeah don't have the film but there's a lot of uh a lot of [ __ ] that goes on with that too like who was saying um was it Tarantino that was gonna trying to screen something oh yeah and they got

bumped for Star Wars or something yeah they told him that yeah he couldn't have the the theater uh for the for the full run because of Star Wars and he was like [ __ ] you I'm quent Tarantino and they're like [ __ ] you at Star Wars yeah yeah and yeah we're going to sell out all of these Cinemas where people might go to yours yeah that's a shame but they're right yeah I mean it's it's a privately business you know no obligation to Quinton Tarantino no on that note I remember my friend who was working at the the HS in penth penth Plaza uh was saying that they' run into some trouble when I can't remember was it wasn't Phantom medicine must have been an attack of the Clones came out and they

had to in order to screen it at all they had to agree to a certain amount of Cinemas screening it and they were like but this would mean we can't show any other movies like we only it was like if you buy it you have to play it in four Cinemas s simultanously and they were like we only have fours like we we we could just so they basically had to decide either we don't we the one Cinema in town that doesn't screen Star Wars or we don't have any other movies there is a bit of hard balling going on there yeah I'm sure biging of hard balls yeah the other people said would not news uh involves another cinematic Juggernaut and that is Marvel and uh it's two words Mar Marvel uh he he said

this week he was stunned basically when he heard what they had to say about him getting fired from uh from the rollers sure he was the Hulk cuz he said he had a great time working on the film he had a [ __ ] ball he was getting along really well with everybody including Kevin Fe and then Kevin feed came out and said oh uh the statement was here we go our decision is definitely not one based are monetary factors but instead root in our need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative Spirit of our other talented cast members they will Edward Norton says yeah that was cheap it was brand defensiveness or something ultimately they were they weren't going for long dark and serious but it doesn't matter whatever but he uh he said that they uh

they'd been talking about it and he was up for it oh yeah and this this bit too made me laugh honestly they wouldn't have paid me uh what I wanted anyway but uh but that's not yeah I mean I certainly did want more money than they were willing to spend yeah but that's not that's not why and I also love this because he he slagged him off and because he came out at the time and said uh maybe if they'd had a better script I would have [ __ ] done the movie and uh know he was making fun of himself yeah now he's Wheeling that back in he's like you know this is a joke making of myself but they'll turn it into like oh Edward has a dig at Marvel um for saying that the script for the film that he was in was [ __ ] yeah you know what went wrong I wanted a better script quote unquote

yeah but I have heard that about several several actors including uh Mr Norton is that if they're going to be in a movie they basically want to dictate how the movie how the movie goes including oh yeah specifically how their character acts and I mean that's kind of not how it works that's how Tom Cruz sort of ruined the monster movie franchise by getting his own way yeah right is that what happened The Rock has people The Rock has people who rewrite every single [ __ ] movie he considers yeah yeah that's true and he yeah but don't talk he also has to count the number of punches that's right he and Vin Diesel have a counter and Jason St him apparently yep yeah I I'll get hit that much but I'm not going down yeah he's

kind of not excited about just another [ __ ] Batman movie with multiple [ __ ] super villain yeah know what this with this like they're like Zoe crab verus catw I'm like okay so it's Batman versus Catman yeah okay sure and Paul Dan was the Riddler okay okay and now Jason alexand wants to be the penguin yeah yeah like Jason Alexander Jason Alexander is picking to be the penguin in this God all right I'm 100% on board what is he doing what do he doing these days he just sits at homeing toing he gets cast things I just love it though that he's so self-aware that he's like if I'm in a Batman movie and they're making one now and it stars the penguin this is my one

so uh movie every every second Christopher walking on screen stop Christopher penguins with [ __ ] missiles on them it's 50% the darkest take on Batman ever including all of Nolan's and 50% wacky comedy you don't like Max Shrek I don't understand it is a mess it is an absolute mess and I knew it at the time too I was setting at the cinema going this is great and also it's really [ __ ] weird well it's it's the film where they were like you know what you did a [ __ ] great job Tim on the first Batman do whatever you want and Tim Burton was
