I don't know if you've seen this but evidently in 2023 there is a 4-Hour long version of the rise of Skywalker coming out is that true it's rumor I'm not sure that what was wrong with the rise of Skywalker was that it was an hour too short welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to all things nerdy yeah well evidently this is that they're like releasing all the deleted footage and so put it all back in there throw it back there everything I take guys the fans always do edits just put everything we [ __ ] filmed in there

and let them edit it yeah edit it with your mind by tuning out and looking at your phone during the bits you don't want they can just create the version that they want that could work but I don't know I'm just starting to get sick of this whole we don't like the movie so we're Rel a different version for people just over it that's the world we live in now ever since Mass Effect 3 it's like you know what actually we can just yell at them and then they have to change thing that they made yeah they'll do it just to get us to shut up whereas I'm just I'm okay I understand that I don't have to like everything I see no you do though you do you're obliged to you have to like it so you might as well well get really mad at them if you don't I don't like being mad I don't know if you've seen this as

well there's a new holiday special coming out yes I did see that Lego one and it's going to air the same day that the original one came out and it's going to have the Wes from the start in it that's amaz it's Lego right yes yeah okay look I'll say this I agree with you I I I agree that we shouldn't be just be yelling at filmmakers until they change their movies but I do actually enjoy um fan edit culture I I I like the fact that uh that's different I think yeah yeah there's a couple of movies that if I had a bit more time and and cared a little bit more I might do a fan edit of Star Wars might be one of them I do think it's a little I do think it's a little like like here's this thing that you made but I just improved it a bit here you go n it's remix culture Man

remix I suppose sampling you know yeah did I did I take you guys through my plan for the new Star Wars saga will you've you've I've mapped it all out no no no it's it's not not rewriting I've just I'm just going to take what part of what part do I play I'm going to take all the existing films and I'm going to edit them into fewer better films sure well you guys you guys indulge me for a sec I'll take you through that's what that's what they used to do for with films back in the olden days when they were 5 hours long yeah that's right just the bits to tell a story so I actually I I put this up on Reddit at one point because I was like yeah I'm contributing to the world of and and then I realized that um people

are horrible oh yeah and uh so I took it down never to post anything uh original creative online ever again um so the first movie episode one is called attack of the Sith it's the best bits of attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith edited into one movie notice the prequels three movies down to one no one movie removed and two movies down to one yeah you really need the phantom menace nothing from The Phantom Menace remains completely redundant episode two is Rogue one as it is yeah mhm episode three is a New Hope as it is uhhuh episode four is Empire Strikes Back as it is okay got some we got some perfect movies no need to change them episode five is re Return of the Jedi more or less as it is more or

less sure um where's solo com in Solo is not in here solo is not in here spoilers yeah yeah the hand solo origin movie is called A New Hope and it exists okay we don't need anything else right episode six Force awakens as is episode seven is called fall of the Jedi and it's the best bits of The Last Jedi and the First Act of Rise of Skywalker edited into one film episode 8 is called the rise of Skywalker and it's the second and third acts of Rise of Skywalker in one film okay and Caravan of Courage yeah of course that gets its own series developed and expanded out it's yeah car of just edited into two three trilogies yeah it just yeah Peter Jackson style

Xbox yes they still won't let me know when I can give them money and it's annoying me' they' vaguely they've given you a general idea of when you can give them money yeah I know what I can collect by product yeah well they've said put it this way we want some of that sweet sweet Christmas money so it'll be just before then yeah November is when we get the Xbox series X which I predicted this months ago they probably just listened to what you said and they were like well Luke says November so step it up so they finally come out said yes it's November but the haven't come out with a price or allowed pre-orders yet but how much you reckon it's going to be 500 oh us I mean I I'd love it if it was only 500 I have a feeling Australia I'm thinking seven or eight if I can get it

for under a grand I'll be happy I just I just want it to be it's more than a grand I think people might be like uh what if it was more than a grand what was the price of like the original first wide like mass produced consoles like the the Master System and the uh and the NES I think they were about 300 that's what I remember but that was also back in old timey money true does that translate into a grand now um I think it does when the nest launched in 1985 it was priced at4 $9 150 bucks and it came with Super Mario Brothers Duck Hunt and the light gun oh oh wow wow that's a deal but that also would have been like a week's wages true that's a good point for a coal miner and then you had to buy a TV the 360 was 800 bucks or something

when it came out remember and we got we got it a year after the rest of the world yeah that was brutal I got a year after because I I just wasn't going to pay 800 bucks for it eventually I caved yeah I used Daves for a long time so did I I paid zero for it what I just go into Dave's room no I traded in all of my my original Xbox and all the games and they went you can have an Xbox 360 for free wow a lot of games yeah I remember there was that at um EB had a had a deal like that but they got to judge whether the games you were trying to trade were good enough to trade for it and they were very judgmental they were incredibly judgmental um but there's some other news Xbox Rel it's not news but it's

also not rumor because there's kind of evidence yeah so I'm curious what you think of this Luke the Xbox series s is a thing which we've always known there was a rumor of s of like the the expensive model and then the slightly cheaper one which is a bit like the Xbox One S compared to the Xbox One X yeah but the I mean the reason there the the Xbox One S is just the Xbox one right with with a coat of paint and a smaller case so it kind of makes sense like it's like this is the original Xbox one that we made and we made a new fancier one and you can buy both of them this is like we're launching two things and what is the series s then like what's missing from it like maybe not 4K or something maybe no hard drive spe what what the one I think what the 1s

the big thing was a digital version so it might be heading that like there's no disc drive and things like that but I'd be happy with the series X having no disc drive i' be surprised if the series X had a disc drive at this point it'll still have one if it's if it's just the series X without a disc drive I might be more interested in it but then if that's the only difference but no I guarantee you'll have a small Drive something as well it's going to be slightly slower maybe it doesn't have those fancy I know because you can't play the games without those fancy hard drives that they have yeah the new SSD drives oh no you you can I believe but you won't get the the advantage of the quick load times and things like that you won't get your 390 million frames per second yeah I thought

they said that I thought they said that the bandwidth was required for the games but maybe it might be though but because you can still plug in an external hard drive but you might need to copy it over to SSD drive to actually pretty I'm sure they said you can plug in an external drive but you can't play Xbox One X Games off the external hard drive only Xbox One games sure they said that this the weird thing because the drive it comes with a one tab SSD drive and at the moment I think the only thing you can buy for an external drive that because you can get an SSD drive for it but it's only one terab as well yes one terabyte so two terabytes is nothing but this always happens right remember when the Xbox one came out it had 500 gig hard drive in it [ __ ] useless yeah but like if if you

look at now I'm running my Xboxes have like a 1 tby drive and then they've got like a 4 terby external drive on them and I'm out of space all the time yeah I don't have as many games as you and I've still I've still got all mine on a 2 terb external drive yeah yeah and like you're using 2 terab it's not even like you're still just being able to survive off the terab that comes with so it just weird that they're sort of not expanding upon you're not playing all the games you have on there like at least I'm not I I I like I like to have them ready but I guess I could call it down and make it fit if I had to but I prefer not to have yeah now I do have better internet that may be a thing yeah that's true actually I can install it used to be like yeah it used to be like

if I wanted to install a game it's like 8 hours to install so there's no way I want to delete that want to play this tomorrow how long is it to download a whole title an hour oh [ __ ] really cuz I downloaded Assassin's Creed Odyssey this week and it it took me between six and eight hours when you get back you are spending a fortune and you are getting the new gigabyte G plans you've been told yeah you need it look yeah it's fair tough but fair mhm yep it's it's so worth it so what how is how is Assassin's Creed I love it really I'm shocked how much I love this to the point now where I'm like were the other Assassin's Creed games like this to and I just didn't appreciate them uh or has has this evolved has this franchise evolved now

to I can get on board used to have a cohesive story of sorts or they try it looks like they were going for one and they just abandoned that at some point they do try and crb the story into every single game though occasionally it just cuts to two women in the present having a conversation about something that I justun out I saw there was an article that said um because you know the first the premise of Assassin's Creed is that you're in sort of a a futuristic world going back in time into the memories of your ancestors and that and then at some point I guess they did a bunch of market research and they realize that actually people don't really give a [ __ ] about any of that stuff they just want to play as the [ __ ] assassin in the past so now it's kind of like they just kind of

sandpaper all that stuff off but it's still there and I'm trying to remember back to when I played the very first game like wait what is this yeah well that was that was the premise of the whole movie of the whole game was that you were in the and you played as him in in the real Al in the future at some points no yeah anyway uh no I really love this it's it's the exact right amount of kind of like on Rails kind of combat and missions with exploration and kind of open world freedom of choice but still within a kind of structured framework I really

like it yeah is so I I've seen i' I've actually not played any since the very early ones but is it like some videos I've seen especially of the valal that's not out yet but but it looks kind of like witchery where you're just kind of exploring around you can do whatever the [ __ ] you want is that how it is you going to be more so in the Valla game I think they're going for a very different sort of take like there's no actual side missions as such well Vikings aren't known to just stop and help people so I think and that's why they're doing that it's going to be weird if you go in to just sort of destroy this Village and then go someone goes up hi I've lost my child can you go help me find them like it's not going to happen I'm going to rape you and burn your house

down that's why they're doing a bit differently there but I think it is not quite like quite like that but I I still think Odyssey is better than Origins I'm interested in Origins uh even if it's not as good uh because I do like Egyptians what is the game play of of Odyssey like what do you what do you do like the what's the loop I guess I can't remember B well you mean no no hold on I'm trying to work out what you mean you mean this the story or the concept what are you doing like you know the gameplay Loop you know have gameplay loop it's like this is this thing that you do on repeat you know like fallouts like like gather um build do quests kind of thing what are you doing in Assassin's Creed obiously it's all quests it's all quests and uh and some and walking between the

quests discover you walk and uh driving a boat and driving a boat driving a boat okay there's also you can do it sort of stealthily or you can play like me and just go in and murder everyone right I'm I'm murdering everyone but I'm trying to be stealthily doing it I'm basically treating it like Hitman I do try to be stealthy but then someone will F me to go well it's OD yeah you can fight that one person and when they're dead other people don't know that you there yeah but normally I when I fight it's quite loud and violent and Spills out all right but the game Luke the game in and out of the game the this Odyssey was the first game I 100% yeah I can understand that too because I want to the first pains me it

pains me to uh to leave Islands [ __ ] I want to go to Greece man this looks beautiful I'm sure it's not really like this and I'm sure Greece I mean this is you know a couple of thousand years too late probably looks like a modern city but um and also just the fact that you can like see all the islands when you're standing on the beach like I'm pretty sure if you're standing on the beach of uh mikinos you can't actually see all the way to Athens oh sure you know across the across the the ocean but it's just it's a beautifully created world it's just really are there mythological creatures in it uh so far no okay so far no okay are they what sorry mythological creatures yes there's been some hints that there might be though there are but they're sort of like a deal I think it's

part of the DLC and stuff but it is it is different to the main game I saw a giant actually in a cave and I ran because I'm I'm level 12 and he was level 55 or something uh so I oh you have level yes that's just where quite quite different you do level up and your weapons they drop and you basically have to pick up better weapons as you go oh okay it's a bit of a looter shooter in sort of that respect the way you have to level up your weapons and things it's not like you pick up one weapon and you go this is it I'm going to use this for the entire game you can basically use it for a couple levels and then you have to pick up can upgrade weapons but it's almost no point because there always something else you're going to find something in the next kind of territory you go to but

what you can also do is if you want to wear a once you've unlocked a garment you can use that skin on any other garment okay that you possess so if you want to kind of customize and bespoke your look you don't have to sacrifice the look just because you find a helmet that's got really great stats but it's [ __ ] ugly you can just have the vision of a helmet you used to have that goes with your outfit talking about this just wants me to play a new Assassin's Creed Assassin's Creed it really does well you can't that come out I'm probably not going to I'm basically I play before I play until uh cyber Punk comes out cyber

Punk November 17th it comes out that's Assassin's Creed not cyber C cyber punkers yeah but they've they haven't announced a date have they yeah yeah they've announced a date they announced the date every time that they back they've gone yep huh that's and then they've been that's they've been showing it during the the night City Y so this one's I mean this one's been they've announced dates in the past and pushed it back this one they've been pushing it like in all the media I this one I'm a little nervous about this cuz I'm starting to see things that not happy with the melee combat right and we're getting to a point where if they're not happy with something it's what two months away 3 months away it's it's very close yeah

and I I don't know I just have a feeling this might slip to 2021 they're going to get a lot of angry messages on Twitter not that you should give they're going to get a lot of but if we look at the end part of this year it's very very very busy with a lot of games that would push back yeah that's true you got Assassin's Creed uh Watchdogs cyber Punk like and there's quite a few others I've been looking at as well Halo infinite been delayed we have to dwell on that too much that's already been delayed no which is doesn't surprise me after the presentation recently no like when you're watching it and then you see like what clouds sort of pop in and out of existence and then they go yeah we're going to hold off on

this they did talk about having it an episodic episodic release don't do that and then they went what I I'm anyway yeah do you think they were like let's just show the everybody this and if no one notices it's a bit [ __ ] they'll just release it and then like no it didn't work out they noticed they noticed immediately they would have had to have been having those conversations already yeah and it's not like they could get away with not showing I know I'm just surprised that they did give in the state that it was but whatever well that they showed what they did like they could just showed anything they wanted yeah I know but they showed it being a bit [ __ ] yeah oh well um so yeah let me just check so we got like all the Madden games are coming out

three oh yeah um the new Avengers game that looks garbage yeah I'm not looking forward to that as well all the soccer games uh what else uh Port Royale I don't know what that is you mean Casino Royale I'd play that yeah um the new Yakuza like I don't know there's like two three months where there's just like a lot of games that are long games as well coming out all at the same time and I think that's the problem you just play for a Yakuza right uh yes they are if you watch the cut scenes in that get ready for a very long game the cutcenes in that go for like 20 to 40 minutes Jesus and I still have no idea what's going on so now I've just

learned to skip them it's all Japanese mate can't understand a word they're saying but no there's like watch do Legion is going to be a 30 hour game Assassin's Creed a 30 hour game cyber Punk's going to be 100 hour plus game like all these really long games all within a month of each other I don't know I think guys let's let's uh let's make it decision right now not not to rush any of these games especially cyber Punk just because it's out and we're all playing it I will be this is what this has happened in the past and experiences best I went back to a game this week uh to to replay at a leisurely pace is not in the spreadsheet uh but I've started

playing BioShock Infinite again I'm okay I'm going to play through it at a leisurely pace and then try and enjoy it because as as I'm sure we've discussed for actually listeners it's been a while since we disced this when it came out Luke and I were in America and I couldn't play it and I didn't get a chance to play it until everyone else had played it and everyone was like you got to play it you got to play it and there were [ __ ] reviews and people spoiling [ __ ] everywhere so I was like [ __ ] so I rushed my way through it and I did not enjoy it and it was I loved it and it the DLC for it is fantastic it's really great like it just expanded that story out and just kind of pulled all

these great details out of it yeah one thing I'll admit like when I played it on the 360 I didn't like it and I think it was due to that fact I had to rush through it when I played through it again when they did the re-release of it on the Xbox One playing and there was no talk about it there was just me playing a game I enjoyed it yeah well already I'm like at you know the start of it you go in the lighthouse and shoots you up and that and you come out and the guy baptizes and all this kind of stuff and I'm like this is good it's cool this is good I think maybe I was just yeah I rushed it because I everyone wanted to talk about it and I was like oh [ __ ] I got to play it like it was just yeah ruined it for myself so I'm back into that let's not

let that happen again I'm also playing something else that I went back to oh what are you playing Anthem I'm playing has that game changed yes it has it has changed because unless unless I'm mistaken I couldn't you couldn't do this before so I I'm I'm playing it I'm enjoying it I'm having fun uh the [ __ ] combat in it is great the way you fly around and like that was always good now when I'm out doing stuff I can go in and change my weapons and do a bunch of stuff that I'm sure you couldn't do that before right I'm pretty sure you had to like decide all that as you getting into your outfit now I 100% in the middle of a mission switched guns and I was like ooh I didn't I didn't think I could do that before which seems

like so so you went cuz you had guns you could like switch to but we able to switch I went into my inventory and I switched from an assault rifle to a a sniper rifle I don't remember it's been that long I don't think you could do that before and but what I haven't seen is I don't think I've picked up a gun on a quest and then just I don't know that I've been able to switch to to that if I can do that okay then we're good cuz that was a [ __ ] pain do you still have to play a mission and then go back to the every time um that's a good question cuz that was the thing that always got me like you to do it like you can go out and do like instances and fly around and stuff but if you wanted to do like an actual Story Mission you had to do the

story Mission you go out do it and then you get taken back to the city and you had to do that every time and you still had to play with people yeah you don't have to play with people uh definitely not I've said it to private okay and cuz I don't one thing I was funny with playing with people is by the time I started playing with a these missions people were just starting to grind already yeah so they would know where they needed to go and just fly off and do and I would get matched take my time and explore I was like level I'm like level five or something I get matched with people who are like level 30 and it's like what is this like this is not working so you don't have to do that you finally get up to where they're fighting and they just killed everything and

you're and I'm here too so anyway I'm having fun with it I'll get back to you cuz I I really do want to enjoy this because the flying around is so [ __ ] awesome in it like like wa way your jets start to heat up and if you fly under a waterfall they you can like dive all down and stuff like that yeah and then the way that you can be flying and then like like hover around and shoot and then like slam down oh man the combat in it was really good so for some reason it just didn't just didn't appeal to me I haven't played it like I didn't play it like it I just there's just nothing about it that made me made me gravitate towards it the thing I don't like about it's the Luda shooter yeah see I'm okay with that like you got to go in and grind the whole

idea is you you play it and then you start grinding to you get better gear I'm okay with that but but it was when I get the gear and I can't use the [ __ ] gear without like you know like if you're in the middle of a quest and you get a really cool gun you got to wait till you finish the quest go back to the [ __ ] City load up your thing in the machine switch the gun out go out into another Quest actually this gun's a bit [ __ ] I want my other one back have to finish this Quest go back to the [ __ ] City it's like no don't make me do that so I don't think you have to do that anymore I could be wrong but I don't think if they've made some changes I might install it again and give it another try cuz especially if I can send it to private yeah private means you and

me buddy oh I'll get out my big mees you went quiet then he doesn't want to play with me you can play it too Danny no I I I I I would love it if we all played together but I just know it's not going to happen yeah good point yeah you got you guys did say that you'd come and visit me in Fallout 76 and nobody has H so I told you you have to level up to a level to so I can join you I've giving up on that that's not good what level what level are you I don't know 10 yeah I'm sure I'm 10 all right I'll meet up with you tomorrow all right no I'm on to shoot tomorrow but maybe later in the week I got I've been burnt by too many bugs in that game I've stopped and then oh really yeah just it everything nothing works it's like I had a pretty smooth

experience I mean I got kind of bored and decided that it probably was just a sometimes game but I got okay so you know when you get to you get to that first bar and you talk to the woman um that all glitched out where she said she said she go she talk to her and she goes hang on just give me a minute and I think what she's supposed to do is turn around and grab something but she went hang on just give me a minute and then went [Laughter] [Music] back and I was like okay and then and like there's no UI or anything all right quit the game and then uh go back in again mind you I mean that's obviously not meant to happen but even at the best of times the human beings are they certainly feel like an afterthought don't they yes well that yeah bolted

them on later but and then I got you know you get outside in the overseers camp is across the road from that building yep so I go over to the camp and I'm like checking stuff out and some guy like level some high level guy in [ __ ] power armor runs over and just starts like waving at me constantly and like throwing [ __ ] on the ground and being and then I guess he got his headset and he was like hey hey hey take this stuff take this stuff and I'm like no I'm I'm trying to play the game propably I don't want and so I pick up this stuff I'm I can't even use any of this stuff just leave me Al yeah but unfortunately that is play the game correctly know you're like I wish this wasn't an MMO I'm pretending I'm playing Fallout 5

yeah this [ __ ] dude in power dancing throwing [ __ ] weapons at me like what is this very nice of him though if you're listening whoever you are thanks thanks for the stuff that I can't use there's a game that I've had on my steam wish list for quite some time and I've I've never gotten around to to purchasing it and maybe I will now uh because this war of mine uh is now on the school curriculum in Poland yeah that's I've played that game briefly it's um interesting I mean it it looks great I mean it's said in the uh it's said in like Kosovo or somewhere right it's like Yugoslavia War yeah it's like uh if it's a serious game it's not uh you're not going to encounter anybody throwing High powerered weapons at you in this

game no if sure so their um official School reading list that's pretty neat yeah yeah that's right um basically they they've touted this as a uh quintessential anti-war text right uh and so they're making all the kids play it that's neat you're kind of like a it's a survival game where you you're kind of barricaded in a building every time you play it yeah as well so um trying to see if I've got a copy for you oh it's on the Xbox I'm pretty sure right it is I own it on the Xbox I've never play guess is it on Game Pass yeah I don't think so I think I I have it on uh steam as well yeah it's um it's not expensive it's 30 bucks on Steam yeah uh

I was waiting till it came on special but never know maybe maybe this me over don't wait for me I'm going to be a minut all right fine but yeah the game it's it's uh visually very striking and um I remember being I haven't played a huge amount of it but I remember being very like interesting so this doesn't make me want I it's a game that I want to play but then I don't know just I know I have to commit time to it and not not rush through and emotional bandwidth as well it's very very dire and cuz I I believe like you're a non-combatant right or yes you like the the game is it's it's it's a war game but you're not fighting soldiers you're correct trying to hide your family and get them food and make sure they don't get killed yeah y with varying levels of

success I mean it sounds amazing it sounds amazing but also amazingly depressing yes and also because it's real yeah really happens yes yeah oh that's cool that that their uh games are kind of moving into that kind of area though like Poland are kind of pretty Forward Thinking with that kind of thing in some ways you know no I me mean in general I just mean you know yeah well they do also have some pretty strange blasphemy laws but uh you know do they yeah have we talked about this yeah you know um you nle from Behemoth he he gets in trouble all the time cuz blasphemy is illegal oh really yeah but are they what what are they Orthodox uh you know what I'm not sure about that but he he he got in trouble

wonder even he when he was in the US some um he was doing a anything then he was doing a show and a Christian band that was on before as kind of a little joke handed him a Bible when he was on his way up on stage cuz you they're like a behemoth they know kind of a a Satanist band he's an anti religious so they handed him a Bible on his way up on stage just kind of a joke and when he got up on stage he started ripping the pages out of it and uh you know it's kind of they're lucky that's all he did right uh and then when he got back to Poland he was arrested and uh he won uh I can't remember the specifics of it but yeah you're not allowed to do that anyway this whatever not really relevant to the this war of mine just I feel like those kind

of no [ __ ] no you're right Matt [ __ ] him yeah also I'm sorry I don't have a copy of the game I can oh this just keeps getting better and better I'm going to have to going have to shed out the 30 bucks some more gaming news this week the this is interesting actually so epic have they they added to fortnite on both mobile platforms on Android and Apple they just one they just out of nowhere announced here you can just use your credit card in the game now without using the the payment system for Google Play or for the Apple App Store and yep which is against the terms of service for both companies because if you've got if you're selling something on their store you give them

30% yep so first Apple just removed fortnite from from the store and then Google also removed fortnite from the store uh so there was a whole bit of lot of drama around that then epic sued app apple and then also sued Google so they're suing them claiming anti-competitive practices and seemingly ready to go had a propaganda video making fun of Apple's 1984 video like yeah they didn't whip this up in a day what did I what I a weird thing about all of this I'm actually sort of siding with Google and apple yes on this I me [ __ ] all of them completely it completely violated the terms of but also it's s like they're a store you're selling your product on their store they're taking a cut you go in and

they tell you this is the cut we take we're providing you with platform like yeah I mean you know like something like um audible like you can't purchase an audible uh book you know on on the app but you can go to the website and purchase points and then you can spend those points you know like there's plenty of ways that you can do it but you're just no [ __ ] you put your credit card details in just do it just buy it just buy it just buy it like you could purch a books through the app but they would have to give app 30% and they don't want to so like beautifully rended animation ready to go me they knew was a hugely uh likely outcome I understand where they're

coming from to some degree though because they they do they do say like like steam like steam Google Apple you're charging far too much for the service you're providing but they don't get to decide that cuz even I think they take 12% yeah of all the games that they sell well what if a developer goes in and goes know what I don't want to do that we're going to pay you nothing now and we're still going to use your store yeah we're not going not going to give you cut of anything the same thing like Microsoft says all right we're going to let you um let you have an Xbox and as part of game pass you can pay a bit extra and we'll give you an Xbox as well to play all the games on then you take the Xbox and then you're like actually I'm not going to pay you I just don't

feel like the Xbox is worth that much you don't get to do that like no you can't just decide what you want to pay for something like I mean they can try this and we'll see what happens I mean why not I I don't think they're going to win though no it seems like and and also this I can't see how they would and look they're not the first people who complain everyone's complained already this is epic who opened their own game store and tried to get a whole bunch of [ __ ] games on there to be exclusive like they do they do the same [ __ ] thing but I know like even with Android like there's ways around using the Google game store so I've got like I play Lotto every now and again yeah I have to the app I have to install I can't download from the game store cuz

it's gambling right but you can you can still download the app from the website andall it on your phone and still pay P for everything on your phone and stuff it's just you're not going through Android like there's still ways around it they're just really doing this is a big screw you guys they they they went into this wanting to fight yeah oh yeah yeah they were ready to go and I mean yes they probably do have to give Apple quite a lot of money for all of this stuff yes but like and I think honestly Apple could probably come to the table and go look you can pay us 30% up until a cap or something like come to the party cuz they are making you a lot of money for doing nothing Apple does negotiate to some degree I'm not sure the specifics of it like Amazon only has to give them

15% ah so there is a precedent for this um but I don't know what the specifics of that are and you never will no probably not but this is the same as you know the other news this week was that apple is not allowing the Microsoft uh xcloud on iOS because they can't um monetize it no it's not that they can't monetize it they said it's because they can't CU they they'll get a percentage when you pay through the oh that's right they were going because they're not curating the games and stuff so they're not sure Lees up to their quality of the apps that they give which is exactly right because and then people were like what about Netflix right they don't review all of the the movies that

on Netflix and then like yeah but yeah but you're not you're not interacting with the the the movies on Netflix and there's not this perception that oh I'm trying to play this game on my iPhone like [ __ ] my iPhone this game runs like [ __ ] or something like that like they have no control over that so there just kind of because of the interactivity of it it's they might not fit with the experience they want people to have on on their devices I don't know I feel like that one's a bit of a I think I think it's also because they will make a lot more money off Candy Crush well I think Apple's wrong on that one but that's cuz I want to play my Xbox games on my phone so I'm a bit biased so I don't know this whole thing

is interesting but I feel like I don't know epic's I've always felt like the 30% is quite High it is but you use their payment processor you're using their platform they're like but also you can't decide that and go I'm not paying you that anymore or you can but you don't use their service anymore like that's the trade off that's business and if you're gonna if you're gonna make an app build in the fact that you've got to make you've got to give 30% to Apple as part of your business plan trust me epic are not hurting for the money they're making off fortnite no they are doing five a lot of companies do that they'll say you can pay 15 bucks here on your phone or you can pay 12 bucks on the website but I don't think you're allowed

to advertise it in the app but you can do that elsewhere you can just say you know FAQ oh by the way that sounds a bit like when my friend dannee was working at the Apple Store store and um was also just coincidentally trying to sell a secondhand iMac that he uh had at home and then when a customer was looking at the iMac in the store he was like you know I'm selling one of these that's fun his boss was like the [ __ ] are you doing yeah that's not that's probably not legal yeah but and also the scale of the the 30% is high but also this is a very different case where you've got this is not like you know if I make an app and I want to sell it on the App Store and

they're like we're going to take 30% and I sell you know hopefully I would sell a reasonable number of copies of my app and then everyone would be happy this is not that this is one of the biggest [ __ ] entertainment franchises in the universe there's billions and billions of dollars and then Apple's like well we want 30% of that so I can see yeah it's a little different like like I do understand where they're coming from but and yeah that that's what they were just ready for a fight they want this and but the thing is I look at they're charging 12% on their store so anyone who uses them epic gam store they take 12% but it's what if someone yeah when I'm don't I don't want to pay you that 12% they go up well we're not selling your game anymore but that's the problem is that's

like if I went into a Lamborghini dealership and I was like listen I really want the Lamborghini but I don't want to pay $400,000 for it they were like well that's fine you just can't have a Lamborghini yeah no one has ever said that before here you go take it no one no one's ever complained we didn't know we didn't know but also you have the leverage sui yeah like we don't have the leverage whereas epic maybe has that's the other thing too is I Apple doesn't need that money to be honest no so this I mean they didn't have fortnite before like so be I don't know be interesting to see what happens yeah I think it's going to be a very interesting call battle and we just have to wait and see cuz it's definitely going there but yeah I don't think epic

epic's going to win this I don't think so either I don't see how they could cuz it's Apple and Google like unless unless they somehow prove that it's unlawful that in after already taking 30 a 30% cut of the cost of the game Apple also take 30% of any inapp transactions as well like they're upset with because fortnite's a free game so it's all the inapp purchase that they they're concerned about they don't care about the purchase of the game fortnite's free yeah yeah you can go install it right now on yourt [ __ ] mouth then but they money because they don't make money off selling the game they make money off people buying danth yeah clothes and different dances for their

characters and skins and stuff they make a fortune off that and if you buy it if you're on your phone playing fortnite and you want to buy something it has to go through and apple gets 30% if you don't sell stuff on the phone version you only sell stuff on the desktop version or whatever and then you get to use it in the phone app as well that's fine but if they're buying it on the phone Apple gets 30% that's how can you get the game for free yes and then not making any additional purchases and still have a meaningful gaming experience do not need to buy spend a cent on lot of peer pressure though Danny a lot of peer pressure all your friends are going to look all your friends are going to do different dances

Maddie yeah you doing this dance you can't do that I've played I've played fortnite once yeah it sucks I've played it once I played solo I got a battle royale or whatever they call it like one which is a what are people lot of going for and then went I don't like this game and uninstalled it so I have like a one for one Victory but I don't game the only the only time I've ever even encountered it was when uh a colleague of mine brought their son along uh to work one day and he was like 13 or something and he was sitting there playing it but he wasn't even fighting anyone he was just learning dance moves as in like the actual the actual boy in the real world was learning dance moves off yes yeah right and and and then I was like what what are you doing and

he's like fortnite I'm like this is fortnite playing I've had a playing fortnite yeah I've had a lot of people I work with ask me like do they have to spend money because they keep their kids keep coming up to go oh I need this so I can buy the new season of cloth no and I'm sort like no you do not have to spend a scent yeah it's peer pressure cuz all the other kids have got it so you've got to have it m also kids that young don't have any concept of money no that's why you hear people giving away like buying thousands of dollars worth of yeah clothes and giving to did hear recently there was a a teenager who gave $20,000 to streamers oh okay just subscribe got's parents account like he had a card and he worked out how to

transfer money from his parents accounts to his card and then was just giving money to like twitch streamers who were showing a lot of skin and stuff and yeah I like that what's that the mother the mother about that was could have got the money back if she pressed charges didn't want to press charges I guess it's and I'm s of like no press the [ __ ] charges like wow but she actually went back to the streamers and they she got most of the money back by just asking like hey my son's done this it's bankrupted us cuz it was like I think was like this was like in England so it's £2,000 wow and gone like and so she got most of the money back by just asking nicely man that kid is grounded yep but the good thing that she sort of said about like she's learned that she

needs to pay more attention to what her son is doing and yeah probably yes yeah true try parenting next time see how you go we're so judgmental for people who don't have kids I know right so I just ra like we do the only iOS game that I've ever made an inapp purchase was to buy a faster elevator in um Tiny Death Star I love that game but then and I gred you then because I told you no not very quickly but very suddenly like I played for weeks every chance I got and I was a smoker then so I played a lot while I was smoking and then just instantly just one day I picked it up I'm like that's boring you just pick it up and go what the hell am I doing yeah like there's no

end game or anything in that they never updated that game either so it doesn't run on on uh any modern phones which is a shame oh really yeah as far as I know it's not available anymore oh sorry I shouldn't I don't know about Android but on uh I'm pretty sure on iOS it's not available anymore um what Apple really LED doing is um upgrading their uh system so that it can't run any of the um the former apps that you've loved that's their thing so you can't there's no no I just looked there's no Tiny Death start there's Tiny Tower Tiny Tower Vegas but yeah but but no Tony it could have just been it could have just been that their sales started dropping off and they just didn't want to renew the it is actually on the developer to

keep their apps up to date and not and so a lot and in cases like that where oh we're not making as much money off that app anymore so let's just not update it no exactly and and you know like if they just they'd already made Tiny Tower and all they needed to do was buy a license and reskin it and then suddenly double Their audience when Nerds like us bought py desar you know what I mean so they rode that way for as long as they wanted to and then they yeah well it's like if you open an app and it doesn't fit the full screen on your new phone that's because the developer hasn't spent the time and effort to to to update it for the new phone layouts which you know fair enough if they're not making any money on it why would they yeah so yeah if you're still using an old app that's

on you right well or if if yeah if if you're not going to pay when you buy an app this is I've heard developers talk about this before people kind of don't really understand this sometimes people get mad right because it's like this app that I paid $1 for 5 years ago how dare you not update it so I can use it on my like sorry you Pa me1 no additional money technically you paid me 70 cents cuz Apple took 30% you gave me 70 cents 5 years ago you have had your value from that yeah now if you pay a continual subscription for an app I can they're doing one upate that's what they're doing now like and people get mad about that because it's like well I don't want to pay all the time it's like yeah but you're not paying

enough money at the start the prices have been driven into the [ __ ] floor like yeah it's yeah we all made it this way and this is how it is now yes you used to pay 100 bucks for a piece of software was similar to like a game like yeah I think I saw something on Android recently where you can pay like a subscription to the Play Store to and then like games sign on for it so sort of like a Netflix arade Apple arcade that's what Apple does I pay month and I get a ton of games yeah I haven't looked at it but or looked into what games there are but I did see that and I went that's probably a good idea yeah cuz I hate ads sometimes I'll be I'll be scrolling like Instagram and I'll say a game and I got I'll install it and then I push one button in the game and it shows me an ad

and I'm no I didn't sign up for this meanwhile I recently paid $150 or 100 plus dollars for a yearly subscription to the Microsoft Office Suite um oh I was like you know like you know I don't have my work computer anymore you know I've got a I got a Windows machine now and I should you know I'll pay this money and then I realized the other day that I get it for free because I'm a student oh yeah yeah I don't use Microsoft Office yeah you probably could student uh you could probably even get it through your work uh no I have it through I use it through my work uh but I have yeah no but even like a lot of work a lot of workplaces you can still just hey I'm working here and they will give you a

discount on it that in I think you I think actually a work license gives you you're allowed to install it on a personal computer as well sometimes yeah you I quit my job is the point oh yeah yeah yeah sure it doesn't really matter you've already spent the money yeah yeah no exactly so uh yeah but yeah just just just keep an eye on that for next year and you have to pay again next year I'm not going to be a student anymore oh and you're not going to have a job but doesn't yeah but yeah just keep an eye out if you do somehow get a new jobs thank you confidence don't worry Dan you you might get a job one day you do somehow spend the money now you might get a job again see if you can get it through

circulated in it like no I circulated a meme that's seen from a movie a very popular movie that people put new subtitles on and I put a subtitle of you guys [ __ ] arguing they fired him for the wrong reason and they fired him yeah yeah yeah they could have found something in there you know some kind of insubordination but no they went they went for [ __ ] racism uh and he won he won the court case so um yeah given him 200 Grand yeah all right yeah he had donation that he probably would have Lo he would have lost yeah yeah yeah I could see how they would be annoyed by him doing it but yeah they should have I guess you see that someone someone in their legal team went you know what you could say that no one can argue with say it's anti-Semitism and

not that h is yelling it's the reactions of the other people in the room it cuts to out in the hallway and a lady starts crying which in the context of the movie is very I mean it's it's [ __ ] himler goes into Del Hitler there's no more gasoline and they have no more troops on the Western Front and the war's over they have to surrender and Hitler just loses his [ __ ] but when you put just like [ __ ] I'm trying to think of one [ __ ] Xbox not putting the [ __ ] disc drive there and then some guys go [ __ ] been REM from the St girls crying in the hallway then it's hilarious yeah it's got nothing to do with Hitler at that point it's just a hilarious video of an old man yelling and then people getting upset around him like I mean I guess there's still a

touch of the fact that you know it's Hitler makes it a bit more naughty I guess but maybe but I find that it's exactly the same as that other meme where you change the subtitles which that guy with the weird teeth that's laughing on on a TV talk show yes you know that one yes like it's the same joke you know it's just somebody is overreacting have you watch the original for that video uh I have I can't remember what it is though in fact I think maybe you showed it to me it it was he's telling a story about how he used to work in a restaurant and they told him to put the skillets in the ocean cuz the salt water will clean the Skillets or something something like that and that's what he's the story and

probably has Queen she doesn't do her own queening she has queenas for that um she probably likes jewels and uh m beheadings I've seen them now whoa oh the crown I've seen cancel my [ __ ] Great Britain trip because of thanks bats I had to cancel my trip to Disneyland yeah better to be there now I went to Disneyland the week before it closed it's going to go to the Galaxy's Edge yeah next time next time I still feel like I haven't been to Galaxy's Zeds because I didn't get to go on the one of two rides that they have I'm still planning to go there for my birthday next year and stay at the hotel okay book I should really give up on it but hopefully there'll be a vac then

three whole days not because it takes that long but so that you can increase the odds of go on the ride yeah the the fact that it's like a one in 1,000 chance you'll get on is just if I had known that I would have been angry I mean I didn't pay for the tickets to be fair but but no that's when I was going for like I was meant to be going this week or next week or something we'd actually planned to go there for 3 days because of that yeah just to increase your chances of getting and it was honestly going to be buying tickets seeing if we got in and if not then going to another theme park that's how stupid I am another Disney theme park though you mean no no just Universal [ __ ] it [ __ ] it yeah yeah

we did get it let's go to Universal oh okay I mean there's drive off like this you You' be Anaheim already and there are many parks there you want to go to Harry Potter world as well no You' be in Florida right you going to Florida or Los Angeles uh Florida's next year this one was going to be la oh oh do they have Harry Potter at Universal in La I guess they probably do I went there when I went to E3 a couple years ago I've only been there one time and I can't remember if they had that I don't think they feel like I out by not being into Harry Potter it's Harry Potter's all right I I'm a Hufflepuff I've read the book how do you feel about trans people Dan I think they're people oh you probably wouldn't like Harry Potter then that's all for this week thank you for
