so you know how Hollywood listens to us all the time steals idas and all that well this time they've listened to us and they've done the opposite of what we would have wanted them to do welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy okay so this time we we started talking about Norman oh yeah I've seen it a few times cuz I quite liked it you guys started to watch it Hollywood heard this and instead of doing the normal thing of making more or doing it they decided to cancel it is it a Hollywood show maybe that's the problem maybe we don't have any listeners in

Norway maybe that's it that could be true do we know Hollywood pick it up then why did they cancel it because is it's a CO thing like um is it not I mean I thought I think it's pretty [ __ ] funny and any everyone I've spoken to who's seen it also thinks it's really [ __ ] funny I have a feeling it might have had might have something to do it would be an expensive show to make okay especially with the fact that they film it twice okay yes right English and nor yeah but that is just the feeling I could be very wrong have either of you guys watched it in Norse just just I haven't either but I really do want too like it's just weird but I think it have you guys finished watching season 3 yes or watched season 3 yes no

I'm season it might actually be because of what they did where cuz the first two seasons were good and then they killed off main character and then they went to a sort of prequel and it might be they just don't know where to go yeah yeah that was a weird Choice actually I was like yeah when it happened I was like oh okay all right fair enough and then uh yeah in the um promotional materials I saw that well hang on a minute what's going on here CU that person's not gone so yeah yeah that's that's the only thing I can think of maybe they sort of like shot themselves in the foot and just couldn't work out how to go to a season 4 if someone was giving them the cash they'd work it out yeah cuz you said you've seen season 2 right Dan mhm you've seen all of season two yeah okay

cool listeners if you haven't I mean God it [ __ ] does nothing that matters it's not like a h it's not like a drama show or anything but no the thir fourth season if they pick up afterwards would be them living in England yeah or attempting to live in England mhm how could that how's that not going to be [ __ ] hilarious yeah it'll be like the second season of Vikings except funny yeah I don't know I just want it might have something with Co maybe I think you could get away with it I mean it's just a bunch of guys out in the bush yeah yeah I mean it's very funny cross the border into Sweden and filment and they're not doing any social distancing there yeah I'm just trying to read yeah no only thing I'm reading is people are confused like us as to why it's been

cancelled H maybe it's not true we can only hope but everything I'm sort of seeing is leing towards you can't trust the internet anymore anymore you can't trust the internet anyway you can use the internet to demand things happen that you want so that's true you know oh yeah hopefully people SN cut this yeah let's start demanding Norman season 4 I tell you what here here and now I demand Northman season 4 I demand I demand to be in it I I'm not going to go that far I just just make it and I'll watch it and I'm happy with that I'm not saying don't listen to Luke I'm just saying I'm okay if you don't okay so I'm reading from a site called what's on netflix.com mhm and the comedy series will not be returning net.com that's the

official site yeah as it's been canceled after three seasons by nrk1 and by extension Netflix has decided not to pick up the fourth season by itself oh which is a shame cuz sometimes like Netflix will something be canceled Netflix goes hey yeah we we'll finish it off it's I mean on their hand and gets to work [Music] it'll just be be one of us you'll know you'll know who it is that's a shame because only one of us is circumcised well Norman's in trouble uh it seems like I mean the movie business in General's going a bit weird at the moment um we've got bonds delayed right

super delayed man halfway through next year and it's already right yeah well me to be out in April yeah so when when's it been moved back to no no no it was meant to be out in November it's been moved back to April now no no no it was meant to be out April this year yeah think they delet they moved it back to November like yeah so it's going to April next year so it's a year to' had to move it back yeah yeah wow I had to delete it again from my calendar for the second time this year I I have no interest in seeing this movie do you have a film release calendar is that is that what you're telling us no I'm not that just a James bondil character okay cool well and uh added to that uh theaters particularly here in

the US I'm not sure how it is every everywhere else but uh theaters here in the US apparently in in some big trouble cuz no one's going and a lot of people were banking on that sweet James Bond money yeah well cuz it was not the draw they were hoping for it seems so and I didn't think that was I didn't understand what the big push to put that out in movies I well I mean I didn't feel that there was a big it's it is I mean I'm I'm annoyed that I've not seen it yet and I do want to see it in the theater but I don't want to go to a theater so I'm really conflicted about it so that's a tough one for me so I I mean I think Christopher Nolan usually does pretty well for him so they maybe they were thinking oh yeah you know it's a good one but uh I mean I guess given

given the alternative people were like ah you know what I'll just watch it later are we at the stage where just Cinema is actually just dead uh maybe I mean yeah people just aren't going apparently so like if no one's going well look there's only one movie on at the cinema that I would even want to see at the moment and that's Bill and Ted Bill and Ted I went and saw at the movies and it was fun yeah I want to see it and and and if I can't see that the movies is uh I it's it's on the One streaming platform in Australia that I don't have which is Stan and uh oh it's already it's out the out when I checked the wasn't oh I just Googled it just now I went to I mean unless I think no they've got they've got the bill and teds but they don't have the third one

case cuz I think you've got one and two but cuz the thing is it's been um this this is a little weird to be to be jumping on this so early CU they're saying Bill and Ted's video on demand release has been bigger than the theater release and they're like oh this could be is this a sign that people don't want to go movies anymore I'm like yeah but there is a pandemic on like I don't know that it's under normal circumstances this might be good data but if they were to start doing a thing where it's like a pay-per-view thing like you got to pay $10 or whatever and you can watch it and then but it's not going to go to any streaming service within 6 months to a year I think that's a way to maybe do it didn't they do this with Mulan you can watch Mulan on uh Disney plus if you pay extra

is that how that works 30 bucks 30 bucks I guess 30 bucks is a bit Rich yeah if you're going to go to the movies but then I'm not going to the movies g a movie so that's why I'm saying like 10 to 15 I think is would be a good price for it I tell you if they come and clean up my living room afterwards then yeah maybe 30 bucks and I can just throw popcorn everywhere on the floor exactly come and give it a vacuum I mean do a good job not the normal get that really distinct smell of the mixture of Coca-Cola and popcorn yeah once leave I'm like the floor is sticky and it wasn't sticky when the movie finished and the guys are like this is what you wanted this is what you wanted but they'll say this I do want to start

going to the movies more but then I also don't and also I went and had a look there's nothing on either I mean you can go see The Empire Strikes Back no that just finished here that's the thing right a lot of Cinemas just to keep going are just playing random old movies whatever they've got prints of and I did read that the highest box office film of last week was Hocus Pocus that film with bet Midler oh it's cuz it's October now right in instantly gone into [ __ ] Halloween mode here it's it's like the 4th of October it's like in four days that movie has rocketed up the no I'm 1 of October all the pumpkins came out so yeah it's weird in shops here at the moment you've got Halloween stuff and Christmas stuff because they're like I don't know if all the Australians are into this but

they are into Christmas they they keep trying to push the Halloween stuff here but I just I feel they're pushing it pretty hard this year I feel all your Kmart Big W targets have got like the tubs of Lolli for handing out and stuff like that pretty gruesome Halloween costumes out there too like at your Kmarts and stuff should people be playing the trick or treat this year that's what I was seems a bit crazy to me yeah I know when I drove past uh a house an open house the other day and I was like oh that's risky like if you're opening up your house I but then again I guess if you got to sell your [ __ ] house what are you going to do about it New South Wales we've had no no new cases for something like seven days now really that must be

nice we haven't had any Cambra for like a couple of months we've got uh we've got one fairly high-profile case here in the in the US I don't know if you you probably haven't heard about it to be honest it's a former reality TV host isn't it it is yeah and I'm star of Home Alone 2 not when I saw it not when I saw it in Canada that's true yeah he's he's an actor uh you may not have heard of him Donald Trump MH is his name he has contracted virus this find absolutely hilarious him and 23 other people apparently in the White House more people in the White House than in um in um New South Wells apparently yep a lot more um look I was skeptical and I honestly I I kind of hope he dies from

it and not because I wish the man you know any ill wow but because if he recovers from it he's just we're never going to hear the end of it he's going to talk about how great he is about how strong he is and everyone El who died from it it was just weak yeah we'll see I mean the thing is too they're not being um too straightforward about how he's doing they keep kind of giving slightly mixed messages on that or even when he found out he had it and yeah so I mean who knows they're not going to tell you the St the full story anyway but yeah we'll see certainly uh certainly a big deal for us anyway so your your president is in hospital right now yeah that was the thing too they yeah they they within a couple of days he was in hospital and

they're like oh it's just you know it's just for precautionary measures even though the White House is a perfectly good medical facility inside of it that he wouldn't normally need to be but we'll just take him to a hospital so it's kind of like I mean it might be legit maybe they were just like we probably should make sure he doesn't [ __ ] it um does that mean vice president is is the standing president right now uh I don't know they're saying what I saw is the room that he's in like has everything that he needs to still keep working there I mean they're saying he's he's still working so but if he was if if he was incapacitated yes and if something if he did die then Pence would become the president and then he would be running for president against Biden

as long as bid doesn't die as well it's sort of come at a really bad time CU they're right in the middle of starting the debates and the real like going for votes cuz what November 3rd you vote uh something like that I don't vote not allow but I would if I could so yeah not a good time did you watch the debate though man yeah I did I did [ __ ] hell was it as bad as we like I read articles about it about how it was just Donald Trump was just constantly interrupting not um I don't know it's I mean you wouldn't it's not what I expect politicians to do but uh we live in these days I guess I I read that they were looking at changing the rules a bit so like when the other person's time to talk they're going to mute the other mic to stop that

interrupting and then Trump went out well why would we do that I obviously won the last time well they said beforehand they agreed to the terms this time that's one of the the moderator kept pointing out kept telling Donald to uh sorry the president to uh supposed to refer to him as yeah saying to him um you you agreed to this you're supposed to shut up for two minutes while the other guy talks and uh so they and because they didn't want to do the the mic muting thing because they're both grown [ __ ] men and they're professional you know they they're supposed to be you know but they're they're not no apparently not apparently not my favorite part of course was when um both the the opponent and the

moderator both asked Donald Trump to uh denounce white supremacist groups and he was like yeah I'll denounce him and they're like well go on then he's like you know Stand By and everyone's like stand by but then he follow up by saying someone's got to deal with antifa and it's like what are you sorry what are you saying yeah yeah I mean someone does have to deal with antifa but he can't unfortunately he can't sort of stand up to it because phots but now um the uh the good old boys or whatever the [ __ ] that that big fascist group in America at the moment got yeah that's it proud boys they've got t-shirts that just say standby well uh you see George Decay

said uh perhaps it's time for for us gays to take back the term proud boys and so there's been this kind of massive on Twitter and Reddit people posting photos of their gay wedding ings with the hashtag proud boys that's great and uh yeah pretty funny that's how you do it that's how you do it look um there is you know there's some politics there there's politics going on all over the place right now and uh I I did find two particular um political news stories that I I felt that like I wanted to bring up this week um okay so uh number one um in Romania um Village has voted uh for a dead person to be their mayor that's what they keep telling as it will happen

here if everyone can mail in their ballots yeah this has happened in Australia as well I think in the past really wa what the dead president wait that's yeah that's right and and a and a group of Thieves from Point Break right oh yeah yeah yeah good point yeah um so in this little Romanian Village they had already printed the ballots and then their existing mayor who was also rerunning died of Co 2 weeks before the election and yet during the election he enough people voted for him that he still won despite being dead I like this says they said he'd done such a good job he deserved his post humorous Victory like okay that's nice but who's going to run the [ __ ] how it works yeah we just we'll just behave how he would have wanted us to behave yeah and

yeah it's just one of those crazy things like they died just at that time and people go well he did a good job last time we just vote for him again not knowing that yeah he's de and I think that's happened in Australia where someone died like the day of the election they've voted and then they've gone well now you'd have to go back and vote again because that's how it works he did a good job last time we'll just guess we'll have to see if his death impacts his ability to do a good job this time cuz I think it's a bit different cuz he died before he went in so you have to do a real election if he had died after then they could the party could put someone else in the place I think maybe that's how it works but if he died before he was voted in well you

can't be voted in if you're not alive not even the day off two weeks before the electorate probably all knew by that stage that he was dead yeah and they've said too like they they're doing a new election like this is not he's not the he's not the mayor he's dead like I don't know why you bother doing this I I have to this cuz they would have known he said Dan who's your mayor no idea like who who who like not the Dead one the one who's elected now like the [ __ ] town I live in you mean yes don't know cuz you do have one I'm sure I do I know who it is I knew mine was he could die so you're what you're saying is that if if someone that I didn't know about had died I also wouldn't know that that person I didn't know about had died well

no what I'm saying is like you don't know your May if you were voting wouldn't know sure if he was say all these people would yeah all these people should have known that he was he died two weeks ago but you don't even know who your May is at the moment if he's alive or dead see Luke the voice of reason the uh champion champion of the Romanian people Luke he sips out of he drinks out of his Star Wars sippy I'm drinking lime cordial oh oh oh coola so I thought that was a good that was a good uh political article to discuss but there's a better one there's a better one and this is in better one in Russia so it's not too far away um another mayor was um running unopposed

and full legitimacy he wanted a um a nemesis you know a candidate to run against so he asked his his house cleaner his ma to um to run as well against him and she won by a landslide and she is she is now the mayor she's now the mayor all right she won 62 to 34 oh my God does she have any political experience she was the cleaner at his house she was around when he was doing stuff presumably so he's he's an interview in an interview that she had she described herself as a fake candidate and she was not ready for such a rapid promotion she's go I do not want this job we need more politicians like that that's that was [ __ ] that's George Washington right want voted for her cuz they were like this woman who

does not want to be a politician is the perfect choice for us yeah and also this is a change like they're voting for someone who actually works like oh fine I'll be the man but can I still clean the toilets yeah I've got a full-time job guys yeah I'm very busy who he's going to clean the the old mayor's house if she still cleans his house as the May that would be great yeah well here's the thing like is does the house come with job do you get paid to be the may you probably do right is that a job like yeah you get paid for it yeah all right and it'll come with perks I think she'll especially in Russia mhm it's just okay so it's a little village people are saying I think she'll cope the whole village will help though of course her education needs a

bit of a boost they must have really [ __ ] hated this old man I love this who spokesman Valerie gromov and I don't know who that is said look she was working in the administration as a cleaner and saw how everything was done I think what makes this even more awesome is that he probably paid for her to be in the election like for like advertising or whatever polling yeah like he would have had to contribute to that and then she won and took his job it's the old man I'm not upset people voted for her let her do a job I don't think there's anything bad about her being in charge of the place she used to clean I mean she knows the way around but I think that's that's loose point right I think the house does come with

and it was fun okay game came out last week oh yeah Star Wars squadrons yes okay yes and um it is like a newer version of X-Wing versus TIE fighter that's exactly what you wanted see I've I've avoided it so far because I wanted to make wait and see if it was actually good I I've just finished a single player campaign um they didn't and they didn't try to cram down like here's princess Slayer and Luke and any of that stuff well none of them are in there like you do see princess Slayer like when they're adver like they're showing off the start of the game when they're advertising in game but I think there's only one mission where you play as a character that I really knew and that was by Gentiles

ah which but yeah they weren't trying to cram down like now you're Fly with Lando and like they tried to do when is it set it's set after uh the second death star has been destroyed okay so kind ofing the Empire yeah the Empire that was the original title they were going to go with mopping up the Empire Star Wars moing up the Empire The Empire is after after the battle of Endor the empire was still quite strong and but there was a lot of infighting for and yeah that's one of the things always used to say is like okay yeah sure the EMP is dead but so what a lot of other [ __ ] Galactic Army yeah yeah but I mean by that point I mean World War II ended the day Hitler died yeah don't ride in I know it wasn't that day all right

just but no no I I enjoy it especially for the price of the game yeah so is it like okay so I I saw some stuff about it beforehand that had me worried that it was kind of like basically just like the the dog fights in Battlefront is that not the case uh that's that's what the the multiplayer is oh but there's a single player campaign there's a single player campaign I think it's like 14 missions and you have different objectives but a lot of it is like just blow this [ __ ] up oh sure yeah that's fine just seemed like I I was worried the whole game was like okay you got two teams there's two Star Destroyers and then you like cuz it showed the two Star Destroyers at the

outside and then you've got to beat a couple of waves of of Tie fighters or What fighters and then you take out some frigs and then you take out the that's the multiplayer but the there is an actual single player story okay cuz I was thinking if the whole game is just that maybe not but okay if this a story all right and then also it's sort of cool like remember in Xing vers tii the menu was basically you were in a ship and then you click on a door and go through there and that was that's the same layout same feel so I hope it does well because I do want more and I do want to buy the game again of course you hope it does well so you can buy it again well no I want to I probably want to get again cuz I want I want to play on my PC so I can play in VR oh do you

have a do you have a VR headset yeah I've got an Oculus oh all right I never use it like ever what have you used it for that's noteworthy playing poker I assume yeah I think I think Dan was fishing for a different answer I played poker but then it w be want to smoke again so I had to stop playing poker cuz in the game you can buy like cigarettes and cigars and then when you you do the motion you move up to your mouth you sort of you hear it sort of drawing in and then you take it away and you see the smoke blow out and I was getting to that habit again so virtu to shut that down that's bizarre all right all right so you rate this game I do especially for the price I'm happy they didn't try and release it as a full

price game I don't think it is a full price game okay maybe I'll check that out today like so I think for you it's 30 for in Australia it was 60 like I think it was 40 when I looked but yeah it's not that bad I'm mad if you finished Odyssey yeah no God no not even close yeah 40 bucks on Amazon anyway game yeah uh I've been playing it though it's good trying to kill that stupid Pig in uh for the Sisters of emus I left it and I was like I should go back K that P and then cuz none of my skills are geared towards just fighting and you can't really get out of hand toand combat with that thing so anyway good game though and I have uh I've discovered kind of more about what's going on I don't want to spoil anything but uh yeah I I I see what's

going on okay I've encountered you been to the Oracle yet y been to the Oracle been to been uh below the uh the Oracle and whatnot you've been sleeping around yeah oh yeah yeah still can't find any men to have sex with but uh you know never mind mat I'm sure it'll come up I'm about I'm about to go to Athens I'm about to go in Athens you will be [ __ ] by you're about to get it on I'm about to go to asens style oh do you know what I started to I put on the other day and oh I just realized I'm very loud hopefully that doesn't ruin my recording um I just I noticed the other sorry I put on the other day 300 and then I and then I turned it off cuz I don't it I mean for me that

did not hold up as I as I remembered it so interesting I've not seen it since the first time I've only seen those CGI backgrounds uh they're very obvious but that's the idea right he wasn't going for realism no I know I'm sure that's probably true but I guess at the time it was that kind of thing wasn't happening as often so I guess it didn't I didn't notice it as much this time I looked and I was like oh God all right yeah right doesn't even look remotely real you know what I put stylistically is fine I watched I mean this is not ancient Greece but I put on Gladiator oh yeah which holds up 100% that is a great movie it's one of my favorites I actually thought maybe I wouldn't enjoy it as much as I did I really really liked it yeah even all

these years on it's got some it's got some weird effects it's got some weird frame rate things going on here and there that uh I don't really understand why they decided to go with uh but damn it's a good movie yeah I got to watch that again I would not entertain I haven't seen I think I ever will no what it have you not seen Gladiator no it's not my type of movie what where where where where are the where are the the lightsabers and bl up they blow up do they blow up anything I don't know oh they burn down some stuff they definitely burn down stuff yeah like his house yeah his his wife child get burned down yeah and happens pretty early on it's not really a

spoiler oh spoilers don't ruin you enjoyment of a Movie Spoiler it's 2 hours of Wen Phoenix trying to [ __ ] his own sister oh who's Lena Hy right uh no it's not Lena no it's not what is Sheen she's in something oh she actually she's in assume you just assume her brother is always wanting to [ __ ] her maybe that's what it is she's in 300 is she uh yeah she's uh Leon's wife m in 300 um who is the sister in it's nobody I recognized just oh okay I've I've transplanted act CU I was like she looks a little bit like to be honest yeah I was isn't isn't even green in it but no

she's in Kingdom of Heaven which is the other SC historical film which I really like but I can't stand or Lando o Bloom as that character no I like mov does not have the gravitas to pull that roll off yeah it should have been sh yes it should have just been a [ __ ] he's too old though English he'd be too old to be Liam n's kid no i' I'd be all in man my son Sean Bean they're all just the same age I watched the gentleman guy Richie's latest film have you guys seen that I stopped watching guy Richie movies years ago because they stopped being awesome and started being really bad oh shock Holmes is all right but like I mean and he's a ladder the second one Fu thinking

but this is good gentleman's good what's it about a gentleman it's about I mean it's about London gangsters double crossing each other it's what all guy Richie movies are about okay but he's going back to his original formula funny accents mhm MH might watch that he did uh that awful King Arthur one too right yeah that was uh that was not good but it it was but I watched it what I didn't watch was that kind of cuz it was weird and strange and and acronis and modern in ways and and uh yes and they did a wasn't guy Richie but somebody did a Robin Hood that was similar that came out at the same time

and I didn't watch that cuz I look garbage yeah you're right I don't I haven't seen that either yeah I know what you mean and in fact just to bring this back around with some continuity I really really want to watch Ridley Scott's Robin Hood again except I didn't like it at all and I just don't think it's gotten any better since the first time I saw it speaking of R oh go on no no go on no I was going to I was going to say like speaking of rley Scott have you finished watching Race by Wolves uh I'm I'm up to date but there's one more episode to come right there's yeah 10's out now oh it's out now the last one don't watch it don't watch it no just stop where you are don't watch anymore

of the show because it's so awesome that I'll just be upset that there's no more Yep that that's the reason interesting that takes a big twist really not watch this show then now it just it really just went off the rails in the last episode no you should watch it like it's a great show but yeah the last one okay so without giving anything away do you mean it's just not a good episode or do you mean something happens in it that I'm not going to like from my life the story the story has just gone a bit weird like is it undermine the premise of it or something yeah it's interesting like she she cuz yeah no I won't talk about because spoilers but people but yeah it's gone very weird it sort of doubled down on the direction it

was heading you sort of get that heading with like soul and the religious sort of part and I think they continue down that path a bit too far oh interesting okay interesting interesting um okay that's okay I'm definitely going to watch it though especially now yeah know I got to watch the [ __ ] thing I watch yeah you have to it is great it gets better and better and then you just it's riddles I'll watch it mhm it is yeah cuz not only he actually directed the first two episodes yeah yeah right he not show television he's he's not it's not his company that does it no he just read the script and liked it and said yeah I'll I'll come on board yeah he just read the script and call on and said I'll be directing two episodes

of this by the way yeah I mean you couldn't say say no to him I've directed over a thousand episodes Scot my problem love Really Scott what an arrogant [ __ ] so good hey did you guys enjoy um The Amazing Spider-Man 2 remind me which one that was that's the one where they kill off uh Elma Stone yeah that's the one with uh with the Jamie Fox as Electro oh yeah and uh someone else was in it too wasn't they or was he the bad guy I don't recall it was not a good movie that's that's ohing Goblin in it that's right he was the worst Spider-Man so uh yeah I did I wasn't he was fine I guess I just I like Toby McGuire and I think uh Tom Holland is better but yeah that movie uh was not a good movie had

some good aspects to it and then now they've announced well not really announced but they've been they they're talking to Jamie Fox apparently about coming back as Electro in the new Spider-Man movie but so hold on yes they're keeping continuity yes with a villain across different iterations of the one franchise for a completely new studio yeah so I thought this was very strange and I was like what the [ __ ] how like but then I was reminded that at the end of uh what was the last Spider-Man far from home MH um jamus JJ Jameson was in it and it was what's his name from

that's true the from the Sam Ry films yes it was so that's true I guess thinking [ __ ] why not that film was all kinds of ordinary yeah but I guess it got me thinking like is there a reason they can't just cast the same person and then just he doesn't have they don't have to acknowledge the old film at all obviously they can't well I mean it's like Ryan reynolds's Deadpool right maybe they just feel bad for Jamie and want to give him a job give him I think Jamie Fox is doing all right I think anything movie I haven't seen him anything since Spider-Man he was in baby driver was after Spider-Man wasn't he's been in stuff Jamie Fox is good I think Jamie Fox is doing all right I mean yeah hateful eight was not hateful eight what's the other one Jango

shooting so oh yeah did you see um Simon Peg and Nick Frost have a TV show coming out on Amazon yes oh yes ghost chases that should be out soon shouldn't it trailer look pretty funny I'm happy that they're working together again yeah yeah it's a shame it's not with Ed right but he's uh he's obviously doing well they're all doing pretty big stuff stuff actually now so it's nice that they did you know get back together do something like this truth Seekers comes out October 30th yeah I'll watch that like a bit I I think Simon Peg looking at the trailer seems like it's mostly Nick Frost Simon pegs got a small role because he's bit too important these days yeah I think Nick Frost was like mate I need to get a show and I need your name on the post yeah unless you're with me I'm not

am okay with that for 3 hours yeah shot on [ __ ] 70 mil yeah yeah some film that only certain projectors can play mhm but we are going to be getting something like that soon with the discovery spin-off mhm oh yeah by the way I don't know we did we didn't come back to this I was watching Discovery and then I season two just really really sh me off I didn't even make it to the end of season one of Discovery I enjoyed it and but yeah no it does get weird season two I was like wait where these characters are still in this we don't why why is oh okay they just what I'm looking to the spin-off with Captain Pike cuz evidently that's meant to go and be more of that 1960s like every episode is just like a new

thing so that's I think that's why they're getting that spin-off so it's not going to be like a discovery where it's all tied together and it's going to be back to those episodes a new adventure and have have fun cuz yeah I liked him in it but then it's that guy what's you know the guy from the first season who was a klling on thing sorry spoilers but make any sense anyway because it doesn't make any [ __ ] sense in the show and then he's still in the show I'm like why is he still in the show he's a but he's not and we don't need him to be in here anymore just go away like no but give us a new one I'm looking forward to that but my might be held off a bit now it's like that curse of TV shows where after you get I mean they did it [ __ ] second season but

then you know like a show every character just has to continue to be in the show forever like so you've got to make space for like someone who's a villain in the second season suddenly season 4 you're like hang on a minute when did they become best friends mind you know what was great for that was Buffy and Angel they'd be like a one-off villain in one episode and then next season that villain was just in the gang yeah I mean it's it's also guilty of it but in a fun way so I guess that yeah also I guess I judge Buffy on a different scale yeah Buffy is awesome it at all exactly by by saying that it can do no wrong and punching you in the face if you uh if you disagree with me that's why I'm I I'm not watching it

again I just want the memories as they are no but the thing is cuz I've been watching it with Hannah and it sort of does hold up really yeah I think so are you watching the um the streaming version where you get to see uh behind the scenes by accident by accident now we got up to a stage where we got up to the stage where sort of they finished high school so buff Angel split off but I don't have Angel streaming and I want to watch it like one to one yeah cuz there are episodes where you need to watch both yeah yeah like where he this the Sunstone or whatever the [ __ ] it is yeah and yeah and Angel was quite good so I do want to have that but yeah excellent and the last season season five of Angel where it

what I know I know I know I know never seen it as bad as me not watching stuff I stopped watching angel I stopped watching it in like I don't even know it Con Conor shot me off totally and Cordelia as well she that that was a terrible season they completely changed gears in season 5 that gang take over Wolfman heart and they're just lawyers for demons and it's toally different totally different I got to rewatch it I mean but that means I got to rewatch no no no you could just watch it from there yeah actually well yeah I kind of know what happened I could I could just watch angel I guess as well because I mean I know what [ __ ] happened to Buffy so it's fine

we've watched in fact I've rewatched Buffy several times and never rewatched Angel so I guess I uh it do hold up I think you will like it I think it will I always I know I always liked Buffy more that's that that was that was the thing yeah but this is one of respon I don't think you have to be scared about watching again no I first season is a first season's a bit mhm rough but the first season was a bit rough even back in the day when you to it after seeing like second and third and onwards and odd wordss like by the time you watch the fifth season you couldn't go back to watch the first with the same eyes but then also it's it's not terrible it's just yeah but if you watch it get through season one and then yeah it's

all great from there on you mentioned Conor Matt and I'm um yes I think I mentioned briefly on last week's show or maybe it was off air but I'm programming for slam dance this year and uh so I have to watch 30 Films in the next week and a half um but what's really interesting is like my like you know my film that I had in there in 2016 starred a bunch of people no one's ever heard of and you you know what I mean and but but yeah some some of the these people that make their films that are from La they star people you know and uh I watched one yesterday that had the guy who plays Connor in it really wonder he was up it was really good actually it was really excellent um and today I

watched one with is it Bronson pinket balky from perfect strangers oh sure really yeah yeah huh but like not doing an accent and he's just an American dude that would be so weird no he has he has an accent I don't know what you're talking about I'm sorry I'm sorry to burst that know him from Beverly Hill Hill cop yeah oh yeah very he also has an ACC he gets covered in cocaine hey uh I mentioned that I would punch you in the face earlier if you disagreed with me about Buffy I wonder if that's what happened to uh Rick moranz see Rick Moranis was retired from acting for like two decades comes out does TV commercial and now he gets randomly

Angeles Santa Monica at a bar and we we're sitting there at this bar upstairs and then all of a sudden the bar is like oh we're having a burlesque show and then we need to clear this area CU this is where the girls are going to get ready for the show and then the girls like no they can stay right okay did this really happen or is this the start of a porn this this really happened happened girls just getting changed next to us and then sit and chat and have a drink in between in between so that that that's the thing that happened and then after we stayed we drink and stuff like that and then and then eventually these other guys at the bar were like hey do you want to come with us to a house party and I was like no I don't I don't want to do that and then Luke's like you

know what I am going to get into that van and then disappears so I Stumble back to our [ __ ] hotel and then wake up in a panic at like some like being where the [ __ ] is Luke and I look over and there he's C up in bed I was like all right and then we went to Disneyland and then we went to Disneyland great it's good that you went because you may not get to go ever again yeah that's true they've uh they've laid off quite a lot of people yeah and by quite a lot you mean almost 30,000 people and actually Los the the LA one is still closed the Florida one has opened because Florida I think at this point is just like [ __ ] it who cares [ __ ] it yeah they're opening up restaurants and things too apparently because you know what what's the best place to just

ignore the pandemic where the old people are yeah that'll be fine yeah the retirement capital of the United States yeah exactly but yeah 28,000 people have been laid off from Disney Parks they did try their best though to for as long as possible and it's not like they want to you getting kickbacks from the mouse what do you what's this well they did their best I don't like the mouse I like the duck [Laughter] no but it's what it's been six seven months oh yeah I'm sure we should we should do a film about how Luke loves Donald Duck but it should be like a mockumentary where we follow him around where he's got like the the hat and the

shirt that just says I love Donald but everyone he meets assumes he's talking about Trump trump I've had to clear that up a few times and he can really say he can be like you know blah blah blah you know like he's he's difficult to understand but you know you yeah like when I talk about how I want to go to America next year so I can hug Donald on my birthday yeah and I've had to clarify a few times the duck cuz they do they call Old trumpy the the Donald here so that could just be like the gag is Luke doesn't understand that that's not Donald Duck the Donald is Donald Duck yeah there's no other the Donald did you see that that um the Borat 2's coming out first and didn't what's that H watched it about a month ago and uh the movie

yeah before they announced it um because it's it's it's done by Amazon yeah right oh okay and she was like like yeah I watched this movie she's like I don't know man cuz it's um well that they a while back at a press conference with Mike Pence the vice president somebody dressed as Donald Trump like in in full makeup was started yelling [ __ ] out and got dragged out by the police turns out it's S Cohen and it's it was it was Borat too they were filming so yeah that's great there you go see I don't like that type of show where the whole thing is to film people making people feel awkward and weird I like some of the stuff he's done I don't like all of the stuff he's done but I like

some of it I think he's quite clever I think he's clever than people give him credit for sometimes yeah but it's all this whole prank thing that I just I agree with both they I don't watch any prank shows and I hate that stuff but I think Borat crosses that line into a into kind of satire so much that I think it it it does have value some of the stuff yes but when he's like yelling at Mike Pence and getting dragged that's crossing a line to me but that's probably in context when you see the movie yeah that's fair like he's probably not to just put that clip on you're saying Dan but then Luke's saying he still went and yelled at Mike Pence sure sure sure yeah yeah and and like even if Mike Pence was in on it you still got a lot of people

around promise I promise you he was not in on it but even if he was all everyone else is not and get that reaction and I just I I don't yeah you shouldn't be trying to make people feel like that I promise you M Pence is not going to agree to be in the Sasha Baron Cohen film well he's got an IMDb credit for it I promise you he doesn't want it no but I've never lik that whole Jack jackass stuff and oh yeah oh I can't stand that um Impractical Joker show God so anxious awful I can't stand that show they're always R comic things should just stop they should not be doing that stuff cuz that's man they're so popular the guys at my old work know [ __ ] love that constantly playing that [ __ ] on their computers at work the thing I find bad as well is cuz people do there

are people who can do it well but then there are other people who can't and do cross the line and take it too far and it's just just let's all just agree not to do that stuff like I don't want to have to worry you know Z Gus Between Two Ferns thing right they've all everybody's agreed to to the to the joke when you go on that right like it's he's going to be a weird awkward idiot and you can kind of do the same back to him and probably it could even all be [ __ ] scripted for all I know so that's a little different that's fine but not out in public and someone just comes up to you and starts and starts doing stupid [ __ ] in front of you that's yeah that's shouldn't be a thing Hollywood listen to me I don't think impractical joke is is technically Hollywood no Hollywood just

listen to me the one everywhere's Hollywood fits into that genre that I actually do think has value is Balls of Steel did you guys ever watch that no didn't like that either it's that exact thing it it is but there was something in balls of steel where it wasn't so much a prank as just seeing how it was more of a social experiment there's this one it was more of a how pissed off can I make these people no but not even pissed off the the one that I'm thinking about there's there's this one character called The Bunny boiler and she basically she's she's a really attractive woman and she sees how far she can push it before men won't be attracted to her anymore and um so she's sitting at a bar by herself and um waits for a guy to like come and he'd be like hi how you doing she' be like hi

and she'll be really flirty and he'll be super into it she'll be like okay how about I just go to the bathroom and then when I come back we get out of here we go to my place he'd be like yeah sure and then when she gets up she walks like she's got cerebral py and um and the guys always leave that sh the other thing that she would also do is what she would hit on guys in front of their Partners oh I've seen that and like just be so like oh don't worry about her you can come home with me and yeah but see the reason that was funny is because the guys wouldn't just be like no [ __ ] off mate they would like it so much they would like allow it to happen for a certain amount before they' be like wait I we shouldn't shouldn't be talking to you no but there were ones

that she also did where like girlfriend is standing next to them and she's just here's my number you should call me and it's that stuff I don't like yeah like the whole thing is just to make people feel awkward yeah yeah and yuck not for me just like this podcast that's right I make Luke feel awward sometimes but it's different because he secretly likes it this one episode of B steel I'm sorry but this is one episode where they make a fake game show a whole fake game show just to trick one guy and this one guy's and it's like a lie detector show and they just keep everything he says they say is a lie so he just keeps changing his answer and just more and more [ __ ] weird Secrets come out just because they keep telling him he's lying

yeah I do like those sort of more hesome pranks on um YouTube where I bet Luke likes these too you know if someone goes into a portaloo and and then they build an office outside the portaloo while the person's in there and the person walks out of the portaloo into an office with a bunch of people in a meeting that kind of stuff is funny I've not seen those so I sort of don't mind it but the issue with that is people then end up escalating and it goes too far so I I'm not sure how you all prank shows well not not not those but other people see and then they think they can do it and then I don't like those ones where actually there was one they got in quite a lot of trouble where they they try and scare people um some of them are quite funny you know like you know there that

dog with the spider legs on it did you see that one Jesus they put they put spider legs on a dog and then the dog runs after people and in the dark you're like the [ __ ] and like this thing with eight legs is chasing you so that I mean that kind of falls into the same ballpark but there was one where there people were dressed as zombies and chasing people but then one of them chased someone in a car like to a car and then the person had a car accident oh [ __ ] because they were trying to get away from this zombie in quotes so I don't know yeah and the thing is you can be like don't exist but then at the same time they probably thought it was just some dude on meth yeah if yeah i' I'm I like to think

I would know okay that's not actually a zombie but also don't touch me yeah St [ __ ] chasing me anyone running at me I'm going to be scared of yes yeah it'd be a little suspicious then again I also do enjoy those videos where somebody tries to scare another person in and then gets punched or something punched in the face cuz those are quite funny did you guys ever watch yourself um pranked you Luke's Luke's prank show Prank you yeah did you guys ever watch Tim and Eric awesome show great job I haven't I know what it is sort of yeah I've never seen it I hated it hated it for like three episodes and then it burned into my brain and it's it's basically a whole bunch of skits that look like they're on Public Access

TV and they're awful awful but they like it become it transcends awful and becomes amazing but there's there's there's one guy um and I think his name is spaghet and he just does pranks but the pranks are like he hides behind a pot plant and jumps out at some and then they like interview you later you know and when people like oh I had no idea and the guy the guys always like yeah I saw him there I didn't know what he was doing I mean I wasn't scared but I I was I certainly didn't want him near me okay are they are they in other things now yes separately they are in a lot of things yeah oh in fact Tim was in don't recognize either of these men what was the not get out the other one the sequel us I know it's not a sequel don't ride
