so one of my dreams might be coming true oh Jessica Alba's moving in Jessica Alba I don't know your dream first thing it popped into my head that's where you went hey Jessica Al go to yeah welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt Luke and Dan multiple nerdgasm your guide to All Things nerdy there might be a reboot to a movie that deserves a reboot and would work well instead of just a cash grab for something else go on the last star fighter I mean it's going to be a cash grab make no mistake a stop you there it's not a not a reboot it's a sequel MH well yeah that's what I mean reboot SL

sequel oh okay it makes more sense doing this than it did for Tron oh look it'll be the same movie it'll be the same movie but also sort of a sequel like the force awakens which was great so I'm all in yeah I'm all for it says here the leads of the original are going to be adults and their kids I guess will be the stars of this one I love that uh I I love that format of just having people's kids be the stars do you guys remember that ' 80s cartoon TV show Defenders of the earth I think I do the characters were the fan I.E the ghost who walks M Drake the M magician M Drake the magician yeah and and a bunch of other like licensable

characters yeah I don't know who these other guys are and all their teenage kids each one of them has a teenage kid that also goes on adventures with them that they also put in danger but with at least with this one if you look at it the way it ended the first one ended was he went back in space and he was going to rebuild the sounds like he didn't he's left it a bit late and now his kid's going to have to take over yeah well now Luke it's been a while since even I have seen this movie but I used to watch this quite a bit as a kid anyone who's not our age or a little bit older probably hasn't seen this do you want to give us a little bit of a recap of what happens in the first one okay so there's this kid in this

small small town that plays this arcade machine mhm Street Fighter plays it so much yep Street Fighter plays it so much he's able to beat it on one quarter back when you that's how much a game cost and then it turns out that that was actually a testing it was a test so whoever could beat That Could now pilot a star fighter and save the universe from the bad guys I think they've stoling this from an episode of South Park but 20 25 years before South Park came up with it and then he comes down and Heist yeah and he goes up and he goes no I don't want to fight I'm not going to risk my life goes back home and then changes his mind goes back and wins murders aliens murders aliens just basically just has to push one button and the ship goes

crazy and just kills thousands of ships I just remember that bit where he hits the button and the sh ship spins around does all the work for him yeah so like why couldn't you just why did you need him to be able to p that button yeah and why couldn't the others yeah they just couldn't figure out how to do it it's like how do we make the ship spin around I don't know have you pushed that don't push that button we don't know what it does moving on uh I guess we need to find somebody who can pull out the ship yep my favorite part is when um he's playing it and he's getting a really high score so a lot of people gather around to watch him play it but it's not just like other [ __ ] video game Geeks it's just old women like everyone in caravan

Park but I know you think it's weird but then if you look at like a lot of those when you watch those documentaries all those people playing like those setting high schooles on Pac-Man and stuff there was the crowd around them watching them do it of nerds who went there to watch it yeah and also some old guy in a refu uniform yes yeah Walter day is that his name yes yeah so what they've done here is uh Gary Witter the screenwriter of as was he scream the original oh he's been trying to write the new one anyway and um they've put this Sizzle reel together which is up on YouTube now yeah it's on Gary Wood's YouTube channel and so I guess they're trying to drum up interest for this now it's not much of a Sizzle I'll give it this no it's concept art and some music so yeah I guess trying to

see if people are interested in this and actually let me click through to YouTube how's that going for him how many views has this little baby got 91,000 that's not too bad so I'm a little confused cuz I remember years ago Seth Rogan was wanting to do this great and the guy who basically had the rights to it was like no this is doesn't need a sequel yeah and sort of like if no if you watch it it does need a sequel cuz that's I don't know right there in the title this was the last star fighter it ends on a we're going to go do other fun stuff there was nothing right there was not even a video game tie in as far as I can remember no comic book seal nothing eight people have given this a thumbs down on YouTube so at least at least

eight people don't want this well is it what is it that they don't want it or they clicked onto it thinking oh this is going to be cool and then just saw some pictures I mean for what it is 4 and 1/2 minutes is a long time to watch not a lot happen yeah yeah Fair like it is just some pictures there's no yeah but I don't know are there any likes for it oh yeah 2,000 likes yeah yeah yeah okay I like to focus on the negative although it's sort of weird like 91,000 views only 2,000 likes yeah 2001 so 79 odd, people were like yeah but I don't blame them wait my math is way off there yeah try 889 don't don't write in I I noticed also I stand corrected there

were several video game adaptations one on the Atari 2600 and Atari 5200 right okay I don't think you can count those because they were just blobs on a screen sure there was also an arcade machine my version my Atari VCS arrives maybe I can play it oh there was also a tabletop game the last star figh tunnel Chase okay uh there were some comic spin-offs there was a book by none other than alen Dean Foster if you want somebody to write a novelization for your science fiction property look no further you know I might go and read that because I do like his writing absolutely so do I and Luke are you aware that in 2005 there was an Off Broadway musical based on this that would have been amazing to see the original cast recording was released

and is available so you should at least track that down have a listen Hamilton didn't interest you but perhaps at last star fight of the musical tune in next week for my review so do we so I want a last star to fight movie do you guys yeah I'll watch this yeah I mean I'd have to watch the original again although I mean sure why not I'm making making all sorts other crap why not make this yeah and this it's funny this movie actually makes more sense if it was made now than when it was made in the 80s yes because playing an arcade machine back then is no test for can you pilot a real spacecraft or not true but these days kids would just be on the Xbox or the PlayStation and so a a controller is even less of a I guess a one to one than

a arcade machine the arcade machine have a joystick in the in the think Imaging going to be trying to find some instead of a kid on an arcade machine a middle-aged man who has a chair and a steering wheel exactly yeah but no if you got some of the the games you got at now like Elite dangerous and stuff like there are some very indepth games if starf fighter came out now to be a Luda shooter Luke's also hoping it's a documentary about him yeah yes yeah there needs to be more documentaries about me there's one there's more documentaries about you than there are are about any of us yeah that's a good point and I still think there should be more yeah I used to watch the last St fighter and also explorers and it was that great Sun genre in the ' 80s of

kids who got to go to space and I really I really like that genre that very specific sub gen fly to the Navigator yes they don't make movies like that anymore like those sort of cheap Sci-Fi movies I think they do it's just that they're on streaming services and we're not aware of them like we should make one cuz don't they pump out movies like that just on for kids I mean they did not like they did in the 80s for sci-fi yeah okay maybe remember there was Star Wars and then there was all these knockoff clones that just didn't quite do that well and then it just went away ah clones I see what you did there yeah attack those clins I think animation is so cheap to produce

now that most kids content is animated and it's it's not sell animation it's that really shitty 3D yep like Paw Patrol yeah like Paw Patrol my niece [ __ ] I mean she probably might be too old for now for all I know but she [ __ ] loved Paw Patrol was like a hypnotic effect on her for some reason you sound angry about this me no no no no well what did Paw Patrol do to you you like I was reading dooy to her and she just wasn't into it she just wanted to watch PAW Patrol it's just it's just a not a lot happens in Paw Patrol I can tell you that I watched several episodes when I was in England when hanging out that's what you actually find soon when you have a child you'll work out they don't like stuff they just like watching

the same thing over and over sure I'm going to let my child watch PAW Patrol mhm you say that now yeah you know what I've discovered is I think us having kids and trying to show them stuff we loved as kids is just going to be us realizing that a lot of stuff as we remember um and this isn't one that's like particularly nerdy or anything but I'm I'm currently reading To My Unborn Child now through the through the womb yeah um The Lion The Witch in the wardrobe oh and uh that is some awful Pros I've got to say that is just awful do you want me to send up some Star Wars books to read yeah go on yeah not into not into CS Lewis anymore look I mean it's a it's a it's a good story I guess I guess so far is it I

don't know yet I'm not F I was never a big fan of it isn't it just the Bible but with animals talking animals I mean more or less yeah you need to just get some Star Wars how much am I allowed to spoil your children with Star Wars stuff question for both of you my my child has only allowed wooden toys and books all right well I'm going to be that terrible uncle that buys them all the stuff they're not allowed to have Dan become Amish I think yeah that's right use your imagination y exactly a stick can be anything everything I know about the Amish it comes from procedural television shows where one of them moves to the big city and gets murdered so maybe that's not a good idea for you Dan I do know about that one armish tradition is that when you turn 18 you

get to go and live in the city for one year and do whatever you want is that true yes to see if you still want to be armish so basically everyone you see as an adult living an armish lifestyle has had one year of [ __ ] and partying go out get drunk do drugs have sex and then go back to being armish I bet they don't I bet they don't too much I reckon some of them do I reckon some of them don't go back but a lot of them would just get there and go this is nothing I've grown up with and I want to go home they feel guilty about it and they just don't do it it's called rums Springer mhm that's the word it lasts for 2 years that's a lot of partying an adolescent is allowed to live outside the community without any

restrictions H when the time is up he or she must return to the community and make a decision so they're allowed to actually like wear colorful clothes and drink alcohol no restrictions drive a car not have a beard a telephone use the internet yeah yeah but imagine you haven't had any of that for well 18 years and then all of a sudden it's like go go go you'd be like I don't know what I'm doing [ __ ] it well well remember we sort of did with the internet side and mobile phones well sort of we got introduced to it the same time everyone else did though so it's kind of like we got to ramp up yeah there's a film that's come come out in 2020 called rum Springer which is uh about two girls who uh are arish and go off to uh discover all the pleasure that

life has including by the look of this poster lesbianism so stay tuned next week for my review of lesbianism budget $1,000 wow this is going to be good not a lot of lesbianism then you know you get what you pay for don't you you guys watch the uh The Suicide Squad trailer I did I had a hard time working out what was happening okay which is sort of good cuz it does sort of suck when you watch a trailer and you know the entire story oh yeah I don't know what their mission is if this looks good or not yeah me either I assume it will be because James gun makes good movies but I don't know if this was a good trailer people are mad about it uh what they mad about well oh

I don't know you may not have noticed but quite a lot of what happens in the trailer happens during the daytime and DC fans don't like the daytime really yeah no genuinely I don't and this could be just be [ __ ] annoying Twitter people but people are mad that it looks they like don't want Guardians of the Galaxy basically is what they're saying it looks like stupid Guardians of the Galaxy yeah exactly it looks like a Marvel movie which is because why they first the first suqu suide wad Suicide Squad movie was so good guys no but now but that's the the problem is this is coming this is coming out just after the SN cut where they're all now going on about that the David a cut which they think no oh so it's not just David a

talking about it now he's release the release the release the Zack Snider universe or something yeah yeah I se and and release the a cut cuz yeah Snider he's the greatest filmmaker ever and they want to see his they want to go back to that I like it wasn't good guys as far as I know there is no David Aya cut because he didn't he just Farm the movie out to like six different post production companies and say do what you want it no he said there's a better one they took it off he say there is yeah they took it off Warner Brother yeah yeah exactly apparently Warner Brothers did that he reckons that he did have a cut H and imagine imagine you didn't do a good enough job of a movie and you got fired off it and they finished it and

they went well at least we can release it now it's it's considerably better and it was that yeah like come on I know I would also say oh I wouldn't have done it that way I think we're just going down a very dangerous path but I think I think Zack Snider was a little cheeky I I think this was not the SN cut I think this was just him having a second chance to go back yeah do a better movie than never going to get a 4our movie never going to happen gets the opportunity he's going to do the same too yeah yeah absolutely but Warner Brothers have said no neither of those things are happening but he he'll have to remove whole characters from his movie like it was just garbage yeah well Will Smith was great Will Smith always great Will Smith was Will Smith yeah he's not in this one great

man he's not in this one h but I mean this It looks interesting I don't gotor who in it looks nothing like a comic book movie yeah it does it looks nothing like the other one at all it's got I mean it's got some of the same people in it but yeah other than that we'll see I'll go see it maybe and of course it's it of course and Sean gun and naan fillian and Lloyd Kaufman and Jennifer Holland just all of his friends it's Lloyd Kaufman is it oh just his a bit part yeah like a background extra Guardians of the Galaxy as well as a prison he's one of the prisoners that's right that's fair that's why you make movies right to put your friends in yeah exact well exactly yeah you guys better put me in a movie if you ever make a movie well obviously

I can't promise that the [ __ ] else am I going to put in it so [Laughter] awkward we don't make we don't make movies Dan you do that's the problem when is The Suicide Squad out oh I don't know and is it going to be movies or cuz a lot of movies now are now going to a hey it's going to be streaming and movies same day and oh Suicide Squad will be released in cinemas and on HBO Max on August 6th the answ is right there in the article we just didn't read it no I didn't read guess I'm going to have to keep be around there also the plot is is partially in here as well I just watched the trailer and I didn't read anything so see the problem I've got with this look there's a lot of characters in it and I have no idea who they are no these

are all nobody characters I think that's the point right yeah but like at least I know who Harley Quinn is you know yeah Harley Quinn but you think you know I know a few of them but they're all just I have no idea yeah king shark looks pretty cool polka dot man it's that uh guy from that movie with Hugh Jackman and Gyllenhaal that we watched the other week prisoners it's that guy yeah he's he's a superhero [ __ ] creepy yeah I don't know I don't know I don't yeah well here's the problem I don't know a lot of DC characters except the main ones so I don't know who these people are Colonel Rick flag I only know he exists cuz he was in the other bad Suicide Squad movie Blood Sport as I think I've heard of Peacemaker I don't

think I knew about him before Captain Boomerang he was the other R catcher to rat catcher to so the sequel to rat catcher didn't even I didn't even see the first rack catcher they couldn't get him mat they they couldn't catch [Laughter] him king shark king shark looks good he's my favorite thing in the movie so far I'm all on board for that yeah blackard never heard of him Javelin never heard of him or her guys I've I've pasted the poster for ROM Springer in uh down segments so if we do sake what do you think the Amish have to say about that I haven't seen it thankfully yeah thankfully they'll never know few of them listen to this podcast and they don't have I assume they don't have Cinemas in uh armish territory I

going to get to go on the Millennium Falcon on my birthday is Disneyland even open again yet yeah yes that opened months ago yeah zero [ __ ] given there yeah oh that's not fair they probably have some precautions but I think they do limit the amount of people and you have to wear masks and everything but people would be the perfect time I was about to say it's probably pretty good going right now yeah I know I've seen a lot of pictures and it looks like it's just Disneyland oh okay and the problem is when you get people going out like that they forget that you do need to be careful and stuff the problem we got here now as well is that people getting vaccinated and they don't understand that that doesn't mean you can just [ __ ] walk around and infect everybody

no you can still be a carrier you can still get it mhm and then you have people just claiming that they've been vaccinated cuz how prove them wrong you get a little card but uh you can buy those apparently I just don't understand vated why you I'm going to live forever want to get the vaccine because it's a way for the government to inject you with the chip that they're going to use to monitor you and also to kill you there's that and then also people are concerned also going to get autism and people are concerned that it was rushed that's I mean that's the only valid concern I've heard yeah and I understand why people think it's trust but if you actually look at um vaccines have come a long way than when they first out and if you look at the flu vaccine the flu

vaccine you get every year is different every year yeah and it's not it's rushed not rushed in the sense that they were like a [ __ ] let's just throw slap something together it was rushed in that they were like everybody stop what you're doing and work on this like and then they got it done quicker like I mean I believe I got mine I'm fine you got one of them right you got the second one to go or you get the got the second one to go but I'm still fine second one is the one that gets you apparently so yeah we see cuz they do it into the taint that's that's where I get all my injections yeah but no I've got this one and I also get my flu vaccination in a couple as well oh yeah and then I get my second shot that's funny I get mine in like third quarter of the year cuz

seasons are swapped so that's funny and I don't think I'm on anybody's list it's actually a bit depressing I the flu vac I don't know when I'm getting this one all right one it's a it's a bit depressing with the co one cuz I check off a few boxes to be up high in the list which is not great yeah well yeah I don't know when I'm getting one I think I think your your mom got hers I know yes yep that's true she's fine so y she's a healthcare worker so all good there I don't know I'll get mine within the next couple months I guess we'll see they'll let you know America rolling out pretty fast I know americ have got huging those vaccines i' I've heard that there are like pharmacies and things that have you know gotten gotten them in

and had too many or somebody didn't show up or whatever and they're just saying I don't want to throw them out come and get them y we in you yeah that's true if you if you go and line up at the end of the day and they've got some left and there's time they'll they'll pump it into you yeah like and if they don't they'll they'll inject you with anything yeah it's like going to see a musical in New York just just hang out outside maybe they'll have some KS that's how luk gets us tickets to things I saw a lot of musicals last time I was there yeah Grand hog day was my favorite you saw a groundhog day musical I don't think I knew that the biggest joke in it was a rape joke oh Jesus would it is would it is it the biggest Lost in Translation no no it was uh you

know how like he remembers everything that's happening and there was something joke about oh have we like been together before well not that you would remember but like it was very clear that I have taken advantage of you cuz I've gotten all these secrets about you and yeah it is a bit dodgy how he does it oh yeah but you would you would well you don't know the next time might be the time that you you you wake up the next day yeah yeah I Can't Remember song repetitive um no all of them cuz it's Groundhog Day you mean Dan yeah yeah the the starting of it like you did have that opening thing with the music play and then it be W around and they was just showing like the times the days sort of repeating themselves but no I I enjoyed it I only got one one season

one is it a season yeah I think it's a season did I think it did well did the guy who plays the bill m role did he kind of do a Bill Murray impersonation or was he just did he make the role no he was just him yeah you couldn't you could you shouldn't try to be Bill Murray MH yeah but I also think like that's what the first play I saw had one season me and Matt saw a play I think had one season that was Breakfast at Tiffany's oh did they only have one season I don't think that did well oh that was good I me I've heard great reviews from you too nice tits Luke Alderson I can't believe I've seen a naked him but it was weird when we went to see it cuz it wasn't like the C the theater was full no it's quite empty we had our little C you think it's a marketing it's

achievement Microsoft are playing this all wrong they really just need to start saying you can get an achievement if you [ __ ] send a check for this amount of money straight to us cash yeah um some of the games that get released are pretty much that it's give us $7 and in five minutes you can get th000 gameer score Ratt Laker games look them up you I can get you 50,000 in a day easy he's like a drug dealer nah I I'm not going to buy Achievements not even for seven bucks well if you give me your account I can just do it for you I own the games I want to play con and xil and I can't find the time at the moment so yeah I know I don't have time for that crap I didn't have any time for games this week

and this morning I had a late start because we had a doctor's appointment and I was like what can I do for 40 minutes and I played Conan I just I've tried I just I I don't get it this is [ __ ] I don't know it's just fun I enjoy like the world we've got a few more staff members now we got a couple more uh people on our sta I saw you got as a horse where the [ __ ] did you find a horse well first off I built a stable yeah I saw that the horse was in it yeah then I wanded it off and found a baby fo brought it back oh and reared it into an adult you read it Dam you disgusting mhm yeah I rode that you brought dinner first yeah um I'm like front it when I

get when I get on around the back of that yeah we know how it work around the back of the stable there's also a saddler's workbench um uh and I have made a saddle but I have yet to saddle that pony up to go for a ride so Matt if you get on before I do uh feel free thanks yeah have a ride man I've seen I I subscribed to the C and xile subreddit and MH I just to see just some of the [ __ ] people build and I'm like they must be doing it in like construction mode or something cuz how [ __ ] do you get the resources to build some of the [ __ ] for starters how do you get high enough to build roofs like that yeah without slash fly type of thing exactly and then some of the it's

the same it's the same as when you watch those Minecraft Builds yeah yeah yeah yeah they're not playing like normal mode but some of the locations they've got hases too I'm like where's that there's like these [ __ ] beautiful Cliffs on the on the ocean front like I want to find that location so I know I mean it's got to be on the map somewhere well Mt also don't forget that PC users have expanded maps that we don't have yet oh okay that could be something too in fact they have a whole they have a whole upgrade that hasn't come to console yet that is extended Maps two additional maps and then a whole lot of extra playability M mhm mhm Okay so we're going to we're going to be getting that I hope yeah we are eventually and when it does we can we can row out to

I need to be getting [ __ ] achievements now it's been 5 minutes and I haven't got one I need to be even when Minecraft first came out I never got Minecraft because there's no game what I just mine and craft I don't care about crafting yeah well I'm not creative it was pretty fun when we were all uh playing Minecraft apparently not for Luke ad no not no I I did enjoy that cuz I'd throw a movie on I just go and mine what wasn't fun was when Dave would just come and burn your structures down yeah see I just leave stuff in your in your treasure chest and walk away yeah speaking of games Hades has won a bunch of bafs uh which means I guess I'm going to I've played it a little bit I have to play it a little bit more I haven't

played it at all but I do like Greek mythology so why not what is it I've not heard of this you've not heard of Hades The game everyone was [ __ ] talking about as game of the year last year no no I I I somehow missed that super giant games okay do you know super giant games they made Bastion and transist uh yeah and uh P yeah well they've the new game Hades has uh [ __ ] taken the World by storm it's like a a Rog likee kind of game where you you know it's about [ __ ] what's the main character's name can't remember his name he's trying to make his way out of John Hades John Hades no he's trying to get out of Hades it's it's all based on Greek mythology so they're all you know Greek gods and whatnot and um it's a

really good game it's got beautiful artwork beautiful good music by Darren Corb it's good stuff oh and the hell I missed that it's won a bunch of bafs game of the year and uh yeah bunch of others as well I think like five yeah five five Awards I know how I missed it cuz it's only on PC and switch no achievements I imagine it will come to Xbox I'd be very surprised with all the success if they don't but then I guess it also depends on the engine and whatnot it can actually also just they can very easily just get achievements enabled on PC and just have it in the store there and away I go cuz I think super giant in the past have had pretty negative experiences getting the games on Xbox and whatnot so maybe that's why is this on PS4 as well

uh I feel like I I mean maybe I make talk it out of my ass but I feel like with Bastion they had a bad experience getting their games on the Xbox which is why I don't Nintendo switch Mac OS Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems yeah Hades Xbox oh apparently it's coming to Game Pass in 2021 all right oh there we go easy yeah I will play it then and then I will decide if it's game in a year yeah I'd be surprised if they didn't do it it's been so successful so anyway it w outstanding artistic achievement uh yeah it's a good game it's fun I got to play more of it what it is fun what tends to happen lately is the good games that come out if they're not on Microsoft to begin with Microsoft see that they're doing well and then go

to them and go we'll give you money come to Game Pass and then I get to play it for free yeah I'm not sure with a few with with you know rare exceptions that I would need to buy games anymore do you know I completely forgot that I bought Watchdogs Legions and Assassin's Creed Valhalla as a bundle for like $20 I'm not even sure when at some point and then and you haven't played no because I forgot about it cuz I've been playing con and Exiles and and then I I turned the Xbox on like last week at some point and I was like in my games was like Assassin's Creed Val and I was like what oh yeah I bought that [ __ ] that's it's a good game I enjoyed that yeah Watch Dogs skip it but here's

the thing I haven't finished uh Assassin's Creed Odyssey yet never will I know Assassin's Creed game you do not need to finish it before you can play the next one I know but I like Odyssey and I feel like it's silly to move on until I'm sick of it I do need to go back and play Odyssey because they've got some DLC yeah for that and I said that was the first one I ever 100 pered and I want to go back and do the DLC get that as well 100% mhm that game is [ __ ] enormous the time needed for that I'm like yeah I'm nowhere near 100% yes you did did a lot of time but also with Ubisoft games once you work out the pattern that they've got for the game they're actually quite easy to go through and complete still to do it and I guess that's the other thing is

that I don't want it to just be a tedious I'm just doing the same thing over and over again that's actually my complaint about Odyssey is that it's too big and a lot of it is just like filler like yeah at least it's a lot better than uh what was that other Assassin's Creed game the Egypt one that all of them no no you mean Origins I bought Origins as well for I bought it yeah Origins I don't know I just could I didn't like that one and when I say filler I don't mean the thing with Odyssey is that it's all like high quality stuff it's just that you're right it is all the same thing over and over again but like I don't know it's all voice act and it's all high quality but it's just yeah yeah the problem for Watch Dogs is with their

whole new thing of like you can you can like recruit anyone in the game do all that unfortunately that meant I didn't care about any of my characters because I just recruit a ton of people you send someone in oh they've died but I know where to go now and then you send the next person in you know what to do like it just there's no attachment to the people you're playing with yeah right so you I just recruit people to send him in as Cannon fter so I knew what to do Watch Dogs is another one of those games I think both of the previous ones were you know you you're like I'm going to go stealth until about halfway through the mission when someone spot you someone spots you and then well sorry I now have to murder everyone here and this is your fault and there are no consequences for

it no it's not unlike Dishonored where there are in Watch Dogs you could murder everybody in that [ __ ] building and then leave and then once the cops lose track of you back to normal and you go and my conscience is now clear exactly they made me do it you murdered people that were just doing their job they're not bad guys they just saw a drop newspaper for the guard and went yeah need excuse me mate what are you doing back here [ __ ] hell although in my defense they do just shoot you pretty quickly yes but the the one thing I really got I was looking forward to Legions cuz it was coming out just after I'd been to England I was look forward to like and then it just got into the game and just fast traveled everywhere it just that game was lacking

well I haven't played it yet I got it I'll check it out I think I mean I am actually I'm Mone you should play it yeah no I'm more I'm actually mostly interested to just wander around London a little bit and have a play that sounds interesting I'm missing I might do a pub craw cuz there is an achievement to drink and play darts at all of the everywhere you can drink and play darts oh is that see I didn't know you could do that see this sounds fun already and so what happens is with that go I just end up fast traveling everywhere because it's just that typee of game but I I think I might just yeah try to do I'll get a car and I'm just going to drive around follow the rules and have a drink at every Pub that's not really following rules if I get drunk and drive is it can

you control cars like you could in Watch Dogs 2 remotely control yeah see I love that [ __ ] and then you've also got your robot so you could just sit in the pub and cause a massive car accident outside well the other thing about also actually no you can I can drive because they just the cars could just drive you like they're it's still set in the future so oh is it yeah I got to check so like you get in the car and just go I want to go here and the car will drive you there it does sound like the future or the past if you were Rich future I'm just looking at all the achievements Force has crew honestly and yeah I think I might go back and play this now [ __ ] hell there's a lot of a lot of DLC for this game was released yeah I've got all of it uh and it's uh it

seems like the game never ends so yeah it is good though what have what could they add to it it's not God yeah I just saw how many hours I've played the game for how do you see that um I'll just looking at the achieve true achievement.com oh it tells you how many hours you played well it's got like how long it take me to get like all the achievements in the game oh 93 hours and 47 minutes okay 93 hours yeah but I've that what that's all the time you spent in Assassin's Creed Odyssey I feel like I've spent more than that that's less than I thought you were going to say yeah I think I've spent more than that but I I I do remember I get very strategic in how I do it and I maximize my time sounds boring no offense it sounds so like the opposite of how

sounds like the opposite of how I play games I just want to poter around and get lost in it yeah yeah got things to do got the next game to start playing uh I think think Dan maybe you asked recently if Black Widow was still a movie that existed it is is it it is great it it's coming out uh this year on Disney plus and in theaters okay uh in summer well then I'll be watching it on Disney plus as will I July 9th I think and uh yeah yeah not go to the movies for this no this is just I don't understand why this movie is being made now I thought they' closed the book on all of those kind of First wve

characters and their plan was to introduce all new characters and then all the content is now just same old I think there was a big fuss you know a few years back about the fact that there weren't any lady Heroes getting movies right and particularly scy Johansson because she was one of the she's literally one of the main but she didn't get her own movie which not an interesting character that's why right but I mean still you know what yeah no no I know you're right but then that that that also kind of bolsters their argument is that well why is the the girl got the shitty character as well so they've given her a movie that's a better that's a better question yeah so they've given her a movie and uh apparently no one gave a [ __ ] about it

anyway because I've not heard anyone you know complaining there's no there's no Captain Marvel came out she's dead yeah Captain Marvel came out in the meantime and and you know Wonder Woman and and Captain Marvel was one of the least successful of all of Marvel's films not because it's a woman but just because it was really [ __ ] uninteresting yeah I it was fine I'm actually looking forward to one of the new ones the Miss Marvel stuff oh yeah with like Kamala Khan like that that's a new character that's going to lead some yes and and I thought that was their plan but they've kind of backpedal and they've done you know one division Winter Soldier now this another Thor I'm not complaining about another Thor but no I am I'm I'm telling the I watched

the second episode of Falcon wi it's not good as the first one but I am still really enjoying this like what's how the world's recovering from half the population just popping back into existence SE really interesting and S something that would look at in the movies no I'm interested I will watch it when I get some time yeah I I got to watch that too I finished uh American Gods I've watched all that now me too me too unfortunately mhm so I watched something else this week that you might like Matt okay uh Luke I don't know what you like because there's no pattern so I find it extremely difficult to recommend things to you but um I don't know what I like this is a series called homecoming and it's on Amazon Prime Spider-Man isn't it it's not Spider-Man homecoming

uh it starts it's about terrorists oh no that's Homeland no no no it STS Julia Roberts who I wouldn't normally seek out um but this is an interesting little mystery series that is set in two time periods only a few years apart but there's kind of there's two story lines yeah MH and one of them is full screen and one is 4x3 and the 4x3 one and I don't know how they do it because it doesn't have some crazy filter on it but somehow you know it's filmed like the80s and because it's a detective story or a mystery it feels like Columbo or

um Twin Peaks actually to the extent of like filming it on like it might be it very well might be yeah old old stock or tape or something um but it's not in an obtuse way it's not all distorted or anything there's just something about it um but I really like that it's it's an anthology series apparently so there is a second season which I haven't seen and evidently I don't think any of the characters recur it's just set in the same world but I do recommend this all right it was a quick watch I watched it all in a few days and uh I liked it all right I think maybe we'll check this out sounds interesting I W you might like it you never know all right I'll give it a try after this bother after this now I

don't know what to do yeah I I watch the first episode as soon as we finish recording yeah watch the first episode let us know he'll half watch it he's got some Assassin's Creed Odyssey achievements to to get exactly also going to be a Yakuza guy oh that's true yeah Luke did you give a go of uh ghosts of tsushima no he does not play Playstation games I thought yeah no oh is that an exclusive to PlayStation is it yeah I don't think I realized that it's also one of those ones where they're not fun games it's like that Dark Souls like that punishing type of play and why put yourself through that like it's you know how uh the Star Wars game um fall in order Star Wars game fall in order that was also

designed like that like that punishing like you will die and you have to go back and constantly do the same stuff leveling up it's that type of gameplay which I don't like yeah yeah it's very frustrating yeah I think that's a a PS only no I bring Bell not even on PC I think cuz that does look interesting it looks beautiful looks absolutely beautiful people are into it but yeah no that's not I won't play any of those games because they don't seem fun to me Fair they've got achievements what's your problem they I'd have to play it a lot and they're very grindy you very grindy yeah and also I do I do like enjoying a game while I'm playing it at the same time do you that's interesting I'm not going to play a game I really hate oh no I'm not going

to play a long game I really hate for the say were you enjoying my horse and me too I actually have not been playing that much I still need to go back and finish that to go back and finish no the problem is is that that horse C I've tried to play it a few times and it feels like I'm falling asleep while playing it yeah it is and I imagine it does I was also trying to get one achievement and the game's a bit buggy and it just crashed and didn't save any of my progress and then I got upset with it and uninstalled it no cuz it's just so slow we going to give people a tour of this small town and it's sort of like you can see it there's a field River and there's a building that's it why do I need to take you around it God look we're we're coming towards the end of

the episode and we do have a couple of sad pieces of news we do yeah some uh geek of the week contenders yep mhm I know one of them I don't know who the other one is you really get to sell that one I think you do I think you probably do be surprised of you don't know both of these at least in some way we've got I mean the most obvious I think probably the one everyone's expecting us to say is Jessica Walter has died MH Mrs Archer yes she was young Lucille Bluth not young but well she was 80 years old she was 80 but she was an active 80 oh absolutely yeah I well I mean the last thing I saw in

was that awful fifth season of arrest of development that I only watched the first half of and I think I watched the second half of it cuz and I'm pretty sure this we're definitely not going to get that another season oh I mean God who knows at this point I wouldn't have thought that they'd pump out the garbage that was the fifth one but I think when she accused Jeffrey Tambour of beating her up on set or whatever he did and caused a rift through the cast that that pretty much cemented the fact that we weren't going to get any more and also no one's watched it for the last two seasons yeah that's cuz they weren't very it wasn't like the first first few seasons where I enjoy watching them over and over you pick up different things every time but yeah that original

first three are amazing yeah and then yeah I think it was just too long between that and the fourth one and they just lost whatever it was and all that and they were all too famous to be in the same room for the fourth season so I mean their reedit their reedit was better oh abely too little too late yeah yeah and the fifth season was just not not not that good I mean I guess I could watch the second half and see if it picks up again but my understanding is that I I forgot I forgot it existed to be honest like I can't remember if I've seen it or not they released the fifth season in two parts I watched the first part and then forgot about it so yeah I've seen the first part but not the second part yeah as far as I can remember I did not know she was in

Babylon 5 oh okay she was just in one one episode epod but I'm going to have to hunt that one down I heard the other day that Babylon 5 was unique in that it was planned out uh in advance rather than just an episodic TV show like they used to do he the writer the creator of it basically did not let people addly because some of the stuff he did in season one actually you found out what that actually meant in season 3 yeah I learned that in the context of um yeah i' listen to that the expanse podcast tying that guy with the the one of the writers of the expanse and one of the actors and we're talking about that like West chadam the actor repls Amos was talking about how even if you rewatch season one of the expanse now

having seen season five you go oh they already talked about that like that they all got set up back in the beginning you just didn't know what it was back then and that's partly maybe why season 1 seems like a lot when you watch it CU there actually is all this stuff that you don't really know what it is until later like it mentions characters that you don't meet until season five but but they actually mention them Game of Thrones Is Like That Game of Thrones when you've watched everything and you go back you realize how many names get dropped Seasons before you even see the characters yeah I think with babyon 5 the first four seasons were basically completely done and worked out the fifth season was a not sure if they're going to make it the actual final episode for

season 5 is actually was filmed in season 4 cuz they didn't know if they're getting a fifth season so they actually went out tied all together and then just went oh we've got another season yep that's now this episode and they filmed W yeah okay yeah they were using it as an example of one of the first shows that kind of did that where he knew exactly he he knew he wanted to do multiple seasons and he knew he was going to get to stuff later and rather than but but they didn't usually take the risk back then cuz like they wouldn't you know they didn't know if they were going to get that far but he was like [ __ ] it like I'm setting stuff up in season one if we get to it good if not [ __ ] it it's also like Weeden was I think trying to do with

firefly yeah like a lot of that stuff was like you know it was building to something that was going to be further down but just didn't even get a full [ __ ] season no because fox went we're going to air it this way cuz this seems better and everyone just went what so Jessica Walter geek a week well hang on mhhh because Contender ya Fett Coto has also died mhm M you familiar with a movie called alien Luke yeah arguably more geeky Okay the reason why I said I didn't know the reason why I said I didn't know who he was is when I hovered over it it said James Bond villain and I'm yeah I don't really care about James he was in Live and Let Die one of the

best James Bond movies yeah I I tune in to watch the gadgets and then I sto watching this is a gadget one this is the one where Bond runs over the heads of crocodiles yeah so so I I worked out what I'm going to do for this there can only be one geek at a week each week that's right but he died last week that's true and we should have discussed it then so he would have been geek of the week last week so he is last week's geek week so retroactively J this week all right so everyone wins I guess you better play the jingle twice again [Music] then we have we have set a weird precedent yeah can can we start doing

wow that would have been a different show yeah without Patrick Stewart [ __ ] hell all right are we getting another Patrick another Patrick Stewart wouldn't make it to the end probably I enjoyed it except the ending was just stupid yeah yeah now spoilers so at the ending of it he they in very first episode they talk about how he's dying and which is bad and they get to the end of the episode and go which is bad you've died we've now put you into this robot thing but because we don't want you to live forever you a will Switched Off when your body would have naturally died it's like how the [ __ ] they know that is did naturally die I had cancer yeah so me to die so you've already changed that outcome do they have the technology that

you can live forever and they're only using it on him and even then only in a modified form I mean that's sounds like something that uncontainable I'd be like I mean I know I said that but I mean you could just you could just undo that yes and we you know you know I was not going to naturally die for another 60 or 70 years I only said I was okay with naturally dying because I thought I was going to naturally die and I was actually scared shitless so if we could just undo whatever you did and uh I could live forever ever that' be just fine I mean the guy who invented I'm sure he's already used it on himself he's not I invented this and I'm going to wait for the right guy to come on he was he a robot I can't remember I think he was a
